- 1:06getting into it today We're going to perhaps name some
- 1:08names We're perhaps going to delve into some topics
- 1:11which are More contentious than our typical weeks
- 1:16Before we introduce our returning special guest As
- 1:20always, my wonderful co -host Ali Rathawid Ali
- 1:32Rathawid Welcome back to our podcast How are you
- 1:34feeling about the podcast today? I'm
- 1:36excited Because the guest is special to me I'm sure
- 1:40everyone loves listening to him This topic is one that
- 1:43I'm going to learn from It's one that I think many
- 1:48of us Are thinking about over the last few weeks
- 1:51Especially with the rise of influences and people
- 1:54converting to Islam and big names and big shots.
- 1:57However, you are to me like how
- 1:58Ron is to water. Hi, baby. Yeah,
- 2:01I don't know what to say to that as well. You
- 2:03always kind of put me in a position. I'm
- 2:04like, what do I do? I respond, mashallah. So
- 2:07for those who don't know, we last did a podcast with
- 2:10our dear brother last year where we talked a lot
- 2:13about the online culture of debate and polemics and the
- 2:17search for knowledge and truth. And
- 2:19truth is what we seek. So we have re -invited our
- 2:22dear brother, the purified truth. Hassan
- 2:24Al Qadri, Salamu Alaikum. Wa
- 2:26Alaikum Al Salam. I think we need a round of
- 2:28applause for you. Making it back. I
- 2:30need a hand. So on it. I
- 2:32need a hand to clap his hand as well, please. Much.
- 2:35Thank you, thank you, thank you. How
- 2:37are you doing, bro? We're recording in Shah Ramadhan.
- 2:40Yeah. How's your Ramadhan going?
- 2:43Well, it's actually been alright.
- 2:45I'm like, I was thinking, oh
- 2:47God, this one's going to be, is it going to be
- 2:48alright? K2 is alright. Alhamdulillah.
- 2:50I think the more busy you are, the easier it is
- 2:53really. This year has been easier, by
- 2:54the way. Yeah. I'm not sure if it's,
- 2:56well, definitely, the shorter hours of fasting,
- 2:59those play a role. I just, I haven't felt it. I
- 3:02haven't felt the struggle. Something
- 3:03about it, maybe it's the weather. I'll
- 3:04tell you what, about being busy, yeah. The,
- 3:07like, now I'm really busy. So
- 3:10I'm trying to, you know, it's the month of the
- 3:13Quran, you know. And I'm just trying to keep up
- 3:16with the Quran. And the busy I've get, the
- 3:18harder it's becoming. But that's, you know, like a
- 3:21massive challenge that we face. Either
- 3:24you're too bored or you're too busy. But
- 3:26either way, you have to have the motivation, the
- 3:28attention to learn, to connect with the Quran, to
- 3:31study, like these are things sometimes we take
- 3:33for granted. When we do have free time, we
- 3:35take it for granted as well. And
- 3:37a lot of the time, we may use our free time to waste
- 3:40time. So we start playing games. We
- 3:44maybe have, like, meaningless conversation. And
- 3:46to be honest, a lot of people now are really
- 3:50jumping on the streaming culture, which is obviously
- 3:52what we want to get into today, the red pill
- 3:54movement, looking into topics which are expert
- 3:57topics, dialogue on topics which you need years,
- 4:00sometimes of study or, you know, behind closed doors,
- 4:03discussing. Where do we begin? So
- 4:07before we kind of get into it, I want to set the
- 4:09scene. Imagine I'm someone who's through
- 4:11and through Shia. I've never been to a majlis.
- 4:13We'll begin Agadir Khom. Okay,
- 4:15we begin it. I'll continue. I'll
- 4:18say, I'll be in my shah Allah. And...
- 4:20Oh, or a Shia podcast. Of course, yeah, Ali. So,
- 4:23I mean, look, for someone who doesn't understand the
- 4:26magnanimity of this discussion, the importance
- 4:28of having this conversation, where would you begin?
- 4:32We're talking about the red pill,
- 4:33yeah? Yeah. Let's make it like a red
- 4:36pill group. And the culture? The
- 4:38culture of it, I mean, it's become widespread now.
- 4:42I mean, there's so many
- 4:44different podcasts and things like that. And
- 4:47it's become a really big thing. And
- 4:50it's kind of become like, it's become the forefront
- 4:52of the fight against feminism. So
- 4:55it's become like woman versus men kind of thing.
- 4:59And I think that's a shame
- 5:01that it's like that. I do think, I think, I think
- 5:07this, this movement has come about more as a
- 5:11reaction towards feminism. And
- 5:15I'm not going to say that everything they do or say
- 5:17is wrong. But I do think if we as
- 5:21Muslims abide by the Quran and Sunnah, we, by the
- 5:27way, let me clarify something. Every
- 5:30time, I always get this question. No,
- 5:33we don't give you back Quran and Sunnah. We
- 5:34don't give you back Quran and Sunnah. Yeah,
- 5:36yeah. Don't get worried. You
- 5:38know what it is. I think you said it last
- 5:40time. I think I support it. You
- 5:42mean the first thing teaching? Yes,
- 5:44no, because the thing is people think, because we
- 5:47have this thing where it's like, No, but Rasulullah
- 5:50said Quran and Ahlul Bayt. It's
- 5:53like, guys, yes, walla, this is what he said. We
- 5:56get it. But when we say Quran, the
- 5:58Kitab and Sunnah is found. There's
- 6:01so many Ahadi from the Imams where they talk about
- 6:04Quran and Sunnah. The importance of it. Because
- 6:07at the end of the day, the Ahlul Bayt, the role
- 6:09was to protect the Sunnah. So
- 6:11that was their main goal. The
- 6:14protectors, the guardians of the Sunnah and to teach
- 6:16you the pure Sunnah. Rasulullah
- 6:18is the biggest example. Example.
- 6:20Yeah. So things like that. So
- 6:23I just will explain it. But
- 6:24yeah, like I was saying, I think people that abide by
- 6:27the Book of Allah, the Sunnah, and abide by the
- 6:32teachings of Ahlul Bayt, Al -Yammul -Salam. You
- 6:36take the good and you leave the bad, but we have
- 6:37to know what's the bad. For
- 6:39example, I think within the red pill movement, they
- 6:44talk so much about how bad women are, how bad, you
- 6:50know, or how, excuse me for saying it, like how
- 6:52dumb women are or something like that. And
- 6:55it's just like, okay, it just seems like you've
- 6:59never met a good woman. And
- 7:01I think, Alhamdulillah, within the Muslim community,
- 7:04we've seen what a good woman is and how they
- 7:10reflected the great woman in the past, Eidi Khadija,
- 7:14Sayyida Zaynab, Sayyida Zahra, Alayhum, Alayha
- 7:17Salam, Sayyida Maryam, Asya and so on. And
- 7:21I think, yeah, it's become more of a reaction. And
- 7:23when a movement becomes a reaction, they kind of
- 7:28slowly start to lose their, how do I want to say to
- 7:31you, their real objective. It's
- 7:34the same thing with, for example, the nation of
- 7:38Islam. Yeah, okay. Became
- 7:39a reaction towards, you know, the racism in
- 7:42America. Yeah, he won. And
- 7:44then slowly, slowly just failed because their biggest
- 7:46advocate, which was Amal Khomex, just was like, this
- 7:50is, I went to Meccan, I'm seeing the white, the
- 7:53brown, the black, everyone's going next to each other.
- 7:57You know, do you think that
- 7:57happens when you focus a movement or an ideology on
- 8:01a personality, a fallible personality who is prone to
- 8:05error, prone to issues like that. And
- 8:07that tends to happen quite a lot. And
- 8:08we've seen it with so many examples, both within Islam
- 8:10and outside of Islam as well. It
- 8:12happens quite a lot as well. That's
- 8:14a good point. So, Mojtaba, over to you. We're
- 8:18going to put you on the spot a bit, Hassan. I've
- 8:19got a question, but I'm thinking it might be
- 8:21controversial. Go for it. Let
- 8:22me just tell him what we're doing. Since
- 8:25you last came on. Yeah, but it's not a blind
- 8:26ranking. It's not. It's
- 8:27not. We started doing this thing
- 8:28where we asked our favorite guests, in fact, pretty
- 8:31much every guest, to do where we want to know you
- 8:34outside of the conversation. And
- 8:36for you as well, off the minbar, outside of the
- 8:38discussion circles. So we kind of put you on the
- 8:41spot. We sometimes get people to
- 8:43rank food or like, you know, ask what their
- 8:46favorite superpower is or who their favorite side is.
- 8:49I was going to make a break.
- 8:50Go on, Mojtaba. I've
- 8:51got a funny one. Yeah. If you had to assemble a
- 8:55team of five Shi 'a Avengers, who would you put
- 8:58in that team? That's a solid question. Isn't
- 9:01it? I think first has to be
- 9:06Sheikh al -Mufid, one of our classical scholars. But
- 9:10it could be like today guys, reciters. Yeah,
- 9:15we can get to that. I would say Sheikh al -Mufid.
- 9:19He's up there. I
- 9:20would have to say Sheikh al -Sadooq. I
- 9:23think he's, if not, probably our greatest
- 9:28muhadith. And that's controversial for me
- 9:31to say. So al -Mufid al -Sadooq. I
- 9:38would have to say contemporary. Sayyid
- 9:41al -Aliyya al -Hasan from the organization al -Ba
- 9:44'ahith. S3. Number two. I
- 9:50would have to say someone that's not, I mean he died
- 9:52what? What was it? I
- 9:54think 20, 30, 40 years ago, something like that.
- 9:58Sheikh al -Tustari, or as they
- 10:01pronounce it, shushhtari, I think it is. He
- 10:04has a book called Qamus al -Rajal, amazing scholar,
- 10:07that's four. Oh, that's throughout the whole
- 10:12of issue, right? Yeah. So it can be from the as
- 10:15-haab as well. Even today. Oh,
- 10:17wow. You're going from the Salman. He's
- 10:20going on as? I love Shahmah Salman. I
- 10:24love him. He's the Jihadist. He's
- 10:27amazing. Yeah, he's amazing. I
- 10:29went to Amr with him, I spent a lot of time with
- 10:32him. Wow. I saw debates about life.
- 10:35Beautiful. Yeah, it was funny. It
- 10:37was the funniest thing I've ever. The
- 10:39guy is sitting there, he's like, yeah, you're awful,
- 10:41you should be killed. And he's like, yeah, no
- 10:43problem. And then. That's
- 10:45my neck. He's just throwing rockets, but
- 10:48the guy didn't realize it. I
- 10:51mean, if you're not saying try it, I thought I have
- 10:53to mention some of the as -haab. Oh
- 10:55my God, one more. No, no, give us someone today.
- 11:01Give us someone today. I
- 11:01did, say Ali Abu -Lahasem. Okay,
- 11:03I don't know. You don't know? I
- 11:05don't know. So he tells you the pure
- 11:07truth and he doesn't know it. He
- 11:09will say like, Basim Karbala 'i. No.
- 11:13I think he's like, I'm thinking, I'm thinking, we
- 11:18need something like, you know, I would probably say,
- 11:21I'll probably have to say Zorara bin Aayyan, the
- 11:25companion of Imam Al -Bakr and As -Sadq. I
- 11:29would have mentioned other companions. Why
- 11:31do you pick Zorara? Of all the companions? Because
- 11:34there's a Rwaya attributed to Imam Al -Sadq. He
- 11:39says, if it wasn't for Zorara, and he mentioned a
- 11:41few other companions, he goes, the knowledge of the
- 11:45prophets would have perished to that extent. Wow.
- 11:48And he's our biggest narrator as well in the
- 11:51books of Hadith, or one of the biggest. And
- 11:55I think his story is unbelievable. What
- 11:59he went through was unbelievable. His
- 12:02conversion story, he was a Sunni before, a converted,
- 12:06his whole, well, most of his family converted. And
- 12:09they became, him and his brothers and his sister.
- 12:16Basically, there's a statement by one
- 12:18of the scholars. It says there isn't a land
- 12:20from the land of the Muslims where you don't see
- 12:23a mufti from Ali Aayyan. And
- 12:26for about two generations, they served the Imams.
- 12:28Zorara bin Aayyan is unbelievable.
- 12:31Go on, Mursal. Let's
- 12:32go for the second one. I like this one. I
- 12:34like this game. I'll start with the other one.
- 12:37Okay. If you was going to ask
- 12:39me for food, I was going to say, Ozi. Who
- 12:42can tell you? Okay, cool. So
- 12:45let's get back into this conversation. Say,
- 12:47I know this is when we discussed this behind the
- 12:51scenes initially. I'm still learning. That's
- 12:53what I was going to say. So
- 12:54what are your thoughts on this? For
- 12:57me personally, I don't really watch this content.
- 13:00I know it's out there. I
- 13:02see it sometimes when I scroll, sometimes people
- 13:04send links and things. But for me, I don't know why
- 13:07they say it. I feel those who are jumping
- 13:10on this bandwagon of this red pill movement and doing
- 13:14podcasts and their clips getting shared everywhere. I
- 13:17think they're doing it for likes and fame because do
- 13:20they really mean what they say? Because
- 13:21half the time, as you said, it's just degrading
- 13:24to women. Yeah. Look, so we have to
- 13:27differentiate between. Okay. But do I enjoy the
- 13:30content? I think I love someone who
- 13:33counters something I don't agree with. Yeah,
- 13:35yeah, I mean, look, I don't think any Muslim will
- 13:39agree with feminism, the Western form of feminism.
- 13:43We have to understand something
- 13:44is Islam and this is going to be controversial. Yeah.
- 13:49Islam is absolutely and extremely into developing
- 13:58masculinity. It is also a very feminine
- 14:03religion. What does that mean? It
- 14:05means it's religion is Islam is there to develop
- 14:08masculinity and to develop femininity. So
- 14:15what that means is it wants the man to have all
- 14:18the attributes of manhood. But
- 14:20you see, this is there's a discussion when it comes to
- 14:23morality. It's actually one of the proofs
- 14:27that God exists. But we say if God doesn't
- 14:29exist, there is it becomes morality becomes subjective.
- 14:37So masculinity, even in society
- 14:40is very important and femininity is very important
- 14:42in society. But where is the limits and
- 14:47what are the attributes of masculinity? For
- 14:50example, this red pill movement for them, it's,
- 14:53oh, you know what? I'm a man. Oh,
- 14:56why are you a man? I've slept with 40 women and
- 15:02I'm only 20. In Islam, that doesn't make
- 15:05you a man. What makes you a man and one
- 15:08of the first points of masculinity that truly like
- 15:12it's the gateway to masculinity in Islam is
- 15:14obedience to Allah's pan -o -tahal. That's
- 15:18true manhood. When you're fighting your
- 15:19desires, your anger, your emotions and everything like
- 15:23that, that's true masculinity. So
- 15:29the red pill movement, the way they understand the
- 15:33masculinity, yes, at certain times they're getting it
- 15:37right. But then sometimes it's just
- 15:39like, oh, okay, this is what masculinity is. You
- 15:43said that based upon what it becomes objective. So
- 15:48you need a religion to make it objective. So
- 15:52we say in Islam, a woman has her feminine features,
- 15:57attributes, characteristics and a man has to have his
- 16:01masculine attributes. You know, like, I think this
- 16:05guy is a Muslim. He goes, yeah, my wife was
- 16:10about to give birth. I called the ambulance, she
- 16:13got into the ambulance. I told her, yeah, I'll see
- 16:15you tomorrow. I'll go to sleep. I
- 16:16know this. And I looked at her and I was
- 16:18thinking, wow. Is that what you call manhood?
- 16:23Is that what manhood is? So
- 16:25it's just this whole like, they want to, and by the
- 16:29way, I don't believe in this toxic masculinity
- 16:30thing. I don't think there's anything
- 16:33because there is masculinity and what it is, what Islam
- 16:36tells us it is. And then anything outside of it
- 16:40is not even masculinity anymore. For
- 16:43example, being confident is a masculine thing. Islam
- 16:46wants men to be confident. But
- 16:48then if it starts to take over being humble, that's
- 16:56what becomes what? Arrogance.
- 16:59That's called arrogance, right? So
- 17:01there's limits to everything. And
- 17:04that's the beauty of Islam. Yeah,
- 17:06yeah. One thing that's interesting
- 17:08when we talk about manhood today, the lines are very
- 17:12blurred. You have courses, workshops, all
- 17:15of these summer camps, people are paying $10 ,000
- 17:18for three day courses on how to become real men. Do
- 17:22you know what I'm saying? And
- 17:23they're learning things which may not actually
- 17:27teach you about masculinity. They
- 17:29might even teach you how to become a good man. But
- 17:32being as we've said in a previous discussion, being a
- 17:35good man doesn't make you good at being a man. Do
- 17:38you see what I'm saying? So
- 17:39Western standards of being a good man or even just
- 17:43humanistic interactions. Oh, he's a good guy. Yeah,
- 17:46I married a good guy. I'm a good guy. Why
- 17:48can't I get married? Okay, but are you good at being
- 17:50a guy? Because good masculine features
- 17:53attract the opposite gender. Firstly,
- 17:55they maintain, sustain and grow and develop
- 17:58relationships. Not just with your spouse, not
- 18:01just with wider society, but ultimately with Allah's
- 18:04pan -ata 'ala. Because like you said, it's the
- 18:06reframing from desires. It's the desire to hasten
- 18:10towards good deeds and doing your amal and all of
- 18:14these things. So I want to kind of branch
- 18:17into something you said, which was about having
- 18:20immoral relations with the opposite gender. There's
- 18:24a word which we hear a lot outside a lot of our
- 18:28communities. And that word is dayuth. For
- 18:32those who don't know what it means, what does it
- 18:34mean? Yeah, where does it come from?
- 18:38And also, is it a bad concept?
- 18:40Because in Western society, it may
- 18:41not be seen as that. Okay, so dayuth, first of all,
- 18:45is found within the hadith corpus of the Muslims. It's
- 18:50a word that was used by Rasulullah and his
- 18:53companions. I've also seen it a few times
- 18:56within our hadith corpus as well. And
- 18:59it basically, it's not a literal definition of it,
- 19:05but it basically someone that doesn't have jealousy
- 19:08or protective jealousy, ghira over his woman. And
- 19:12this is one of the things as well. This
- 19:14is the thing about the Rapulmian. Was
- 19:17it applied just to his wife? Woman
- 19:20folk, yeah, like his woman, but mainly obviously your
- 19:23wife because she's under your protection, right? In
- 19:25that sense. But so for example, when you
- 19:29get to the Rapulm movement, a lot of them that follow
- 19:32it's like, yeah, you know, masculine, masculine, I'm
- 19:36strong, I'm this, I make money, he's wearing shades
- 19:40and you're like, Allah, you look at him, you're like,
- 19:42wow, you're amazing. But then his wife, he's dressed
- 19:48like, you know, inappropriately, and he's
- 19:52shown her to the world. And
- 19:53it's just like, sorry, my friend, objectively speaking,
- 19:58that's not what men do. Why
- 19:59do you think Muslims do that? I've
- 20:01never understood. I've never understood. Do
- 20:03you think it's cultural because there's a lot of
- 20:05cultures which is that's the way it comes from a
- 20:07few things. Cultural, sometimes some people just
- 20:10do it out of more like trying to be cute or
- 20:13they're just doing it out of love. Like,
- 20:14you know, here is my wife, like this me and the
- 20:17family. I get it. They
- 20:19don't mean bad. The point I want to get to is
- 20:20I think they're genuine in what they share in terms
- 20:23of they're not trying to show their wife to the
- 20:26world. I think that's what's the
- 20:28opposite is happening. Yeah. Listen, I see no reason
- 20:32for a Muslim man to show his wife to the world.
- 20:36Now, listen, I'm not saying it's
- 20:38haram. Okay. I'm not saying it's haram.
- 20:42I think some scholars would
- 20:44say Muslim scholars. Yeah. But it depends on how
- 20:47you're doing the pictures. But
- 20:48I'm just saying from the culture of Islam, why would
- 20:52you ever want to sit there? You're
- 20:54in front of a mountain and yeah, look, it's nice.
- 20:58You've taken a nice picture with
- 20:59you and your wife and your kids. Beautiful.
- 21:01No problem. Why would you want to upload
- 21:03it? Like, why does the world need to
- 21:05see your wife? Like, why does that random guy
- 21:09that you met a few times you're not really close to?
- 21:12Why does he need to see your
- 21:13wife? So that's what they use
- 21:15basically is the summer that doesn't have a girl
- 21:17over his his woman. And by the way, I think this
- 21:22is one of the downfalls of our generation is like, you
- 21:26know, just quick snap picture, picture, picture.
- 21:29No, there's no need for it. I
- 21:32remember there's a hadith in the coffee. And
- 21:41it's a when I say my hair stand, he says something
- 21:44along the lines of an unparalleled phrasing. He
- 21:47says, oh, oh, oh, people of Iraq. But
- 21:51as if he's talking to the men and you'll see why I'm
- 21:53saying that. Oh, people of Iraq, what is it
- 21:56with you that your woman walks side by side in the
- 21:59markets with the men? And if my memory serves me
- 22:04right, this is when obviously he's in Kufa,
- 22:10right? Yeah, when he's the capital of
- 22:13the Muslim world is in Kufa. And
- 22:16he's saying these things because he's seeing it. So
- 22:18he so the Imam is saying it to that extent. And
- 22:22then we're here just again, I'm not making a hockham.
- 22:25Please like understand. No,
- 22:27I get it. You know, like if your wife,
- 22:30for example, wears proper hijab and everything and
- 22:32you take a picture, you know, there's the the fuck
- 22:36I have have the all rudeness. Sharia
- 22:37perspective. Yeah, different content. I
- 22:39don't I would think that the Sharia, I would say as
- 22:42well on the and the Maraja that if it leads to, you
- 22:46know, something that of Haram, it will be
- 22:50problematic. I don't know why anyone would
- 22:52do it. So what do we do as men? As
- 22:55let's say there's men here watching and they've seen
- 22:57you said you don't agree with toxic masculinity. What
- 23:01is the positive masculinity? Islamically.
- 23:04What is it? Yeah, what's expected of us as
- 23:07men? You know, you know, you know
- 23:09something. Yeah. Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta 'ala.
- 23:13Just as a side note, I'll get
- 23:14into what the point you're saying. When
- 23:16he talks about he differentiates between the
- 23:19car. What? What? Okay,
- 23:23sorry. Yeah. You can say right. You
- 23:28can say. Yeah. Where's which they were not
- 23:34laughing. It's like it's rare. Yeah.
- 23:37All right. So he differentiates between
- 23:41man. And male in the Quran. Man
- 23:46and male. Exactly. The Rijal Qawamuna Al -Nisa.
- 23:50They are the maintainers. Men
- 23:51are the maintainers. He didn't say males are the
- 23:54no men because only real men can be the maintainers
- 23:58of women, protectors and providers. And
- 24:00in another Quranic verse, he says, he says, I'll get
- 24:04the verse now. He basically says, he says,
- 24:08women are men. So of the believers are men
- 24:15who are true to the covenant in which they made
- 24:18with Allah. So he men, they differentiate
- 24:22between man and male. So I think Islamic masculinity
- 24:29has to be based upon the Quran and the teachings of
- 24:33Ahlul -Bait, the Sunnah of Rasulullah. They
- 24:36will teach you. Actually, in, this is a funny point
- 24:40to make in the early generations of Islam in the
- 24:44like second generation, I've seen reports where they
- 24:47used to say, they say, feminine men. Don't
- 24:51go and learn hadith. Only masculine men go and learn
- 24:54hadith. Meaning real men want to study the
- 24:59teachings of Rasulullah. Educate,
- 25:01inform. Yeah. Yeah. Okay.
- 25:04I like that. That whole concept of learning,
- 25:07informing, self -learning as well. We
- 25:09talked about this before the podcast is a massive
- 25:12disease that we have in our communities. Men
- 25:15who generally are learning, looking, they may be
- 25:18vulnerable from their own circumstances. Men
- 25:21who are bullied, men who were neglected, men who
- 25:23grew up confused, in informed from vulnerable
- 25:26households and now who are on a search for
- 25:30enlightenment and they will look anywhere. I'll
- 25:34speak to brother Neil before we start the party
- 25:36saying that, you know, he grew up and he's very open
- 25:39about this before he was a practicing Muslim. And
- 25:42as he says before he reverted to Islam, he was
- 25:45with like some of the biggest hip hop DJs and
- 25:49musicians of the 90s. He said many of them now are
- 25:53going all around the world on mountains with monks in
- 25:55China. Some of them he said a couple
- 25:58of weeks ago, some of the biggest rappers who used to
- 26:00be, as we all probably know them from the 90s,
- 26:02went to Omr. Two weeks ago. The
- 26:05point being is that there is a young Buster Rhymes
- 26:08and all of that. Really? Different conversation for
- 26:10another day. Yeah, anyway, but a lot of these
- 26:15guys are searching for enlightenment and I think
- 26:17we all innately have that as men. Now,
- 26:20a trap that young men are falling into Gen Z,
- 26:25millennial age men is that from a young age we feel
- 26:29this a culmination of societal pressures. There's
- 26:33the desire to monetarily earn. Yeah.
- 26:36The desire to keep your dignity high as a man, you
- 26:40know, amongst what societal pressures social media
- 26:42expectations are upon us. And
- 26:44then looking for men who we feel aesthetically fits
- 26:48that appearance, a certain type of clothing, a certain
- 26:51body type, a certain type of language, which includes
- 26:53swearing and whatnot, speaking in a certain tone
- 26:56towards the opposite gender. And
- 26:58then I found that in the last year or so, Islam has
- 27:02crept into that conversation where it's become
- 27:04fashionable to a degree to become a Muslim. So
- 27:08you have influencers, you have streamers, you have
- 27:10public figures who've made their name off talking
- 27:14about male issues who have now adopted Islam. And
- 27:18now Islam has become part of that conversation online.
- 27:21So you've got men who are
- 27:22looking for education and enlightenment and who are
- 27:24now turning to Islam for the right or wrong reasons.
- 27:27Who is to blame? Firstly,
- 27:30is there anyone to blame? But
- 27:31secondly, if there is someone to blame, is it
- 27:32those who are falling prey to these and listening to
- 27:35these kind of guys? Or is it those who are maybe
- 27:38adopting Islam sincerely or insincerely and then
- 27:40bringing it to the world with whatever level of
- 27:42knowledge they have? I know it's a loaded
- 27:45question. That's a AK -47. RPG
- 27:50incoming. Grenade. So let's break down the
- 27:57question. So simplify it for me. Okay,
- 27:59I'll simplify it. Firstly, is it wrong that more
- 28:05people are coming across Islam through such means?
- 28:08Streamers and whatnot. If
- 28:10it is wrong, who's to blame? Is
- 28:13it the guy who's listening and believing and taking
- 28:16this knowledge in and taking it as gospel? Or
- 28:18is it the guy who's preaching? It
- 28:22depends on the streamer. For
- 28:24example, from what I've seen from Andrew Tate, for
- 28:27example, who's become Muslim and probably one of the
- 28:29most influential men in the world right now, if not
- 28:32the most influential. He talks about Islam, he just
- 28:39talks about it from his experience and why he
- 28:41became a Muslim. But I don't see him trying to
- 28:44teach people Islam. And I think that's actually a
- 28:48humble thing from this side. I
- 28:50respect that. I do respect it. Even
- 28:54like, what's his name? That guy, Sneeko. He
- 28:58usually brings on his teacher or let's say friend
- 29:02or the guy that helped him convert. Othman
- 29:05Ibn Farouq, Sheikh Othman Ibn Farouq. He
- 29:09brings him on and he'll start talking and he more
- 29:12or less listens. I don't think it's wrong for
- 29:17someone like Sneeko to be like, I disagree with the
- 29:22Holy Trinity because of 1, 2, 3. I
- 29:25don't think that's wrong. And
- 29:27I haven't really seen him trying to sit there, preach
- 29:30Islam like he's a student of knowledge. I
- 29:34just think he just uses his platform to kind of
- 29:38push people to Islam. Yeah, but a guy like that who's
- 29:41coming out and doing Takfir, I know we've
- 29:42discussed it before, doing Takfir on Shia. That
- 29:45was a few weeks ago and as of today, whenever in
- 29:49March we're recording, he recited for the first time
- 29:52Qura 'an publicly. He does sort of Talfata and
- 29:56whatever, right or wrong and he did it correctly or
- 29:58not. Point being is that you come to
- 30:00such a conclusion, you've got millions of viewers,
- 30:02millions of followers and you're dropping like Takfir.
- 30:06Ahmed, I think the big question
- 30:07is, especially someone like Sneeko, is he's become
- 30:10Muslim through the pressure that he faced for being
- 30:14Islamophobic in his streams. No,
- 30:17I thought, well, you think he's insincer? So
- 30:20people are saying like now he's too deep into it. Is
- 30:23he actually sincere because you see random pictures of
- 30:26him floating online still with half naked girls and
- 30:29stuff. Yeah, like that. Is
- 30:30he only still pretending to be Muslim because he
- 30:33doesn't want to look Islamophobic? He's
- 30:34just across the sincere to a degree. Like
- 30:36he does, I don't feel like he's doing it for fame.
- 30:40That he's trying hard, do you
- 30:42mean? I'll be honest with you, I
- 30:44think he's lost out more than he's gained for being
- 30:47Muslim, bro. I don't think he's, listen,
- 30:52Allah knows what's in people's hearts, but I do
- 30:55think, I think he's, from what I'm judging based upon
- 31:00the apparent. That's all you can do. You
- 31:01see he's lost more by saying la la la la la.
- 31:03Yeah, yeah, yeah, and he has. I
- 31:04think they've shut down his YouTube channel, shut down
- 31:07a few other platforms. Oh, you mean materially? Yeah,
- 31:09he's lost more speaking up for Palestine and things
- 31:13like that. Oh, I see what you mean. Yeah,
- 31:14he's lost worldly things. Yeah,
- 31:15I don't think so. I think his numbers were
- 31:18probably greater when he was talking about Oni fans
- 31:21and stuff like that. Honestly,
- 31:22yeah, look, if you think about it, the people that
- 31:27are making the most noise are the people that are
- 31:29doing the stupid stuff. Yeah,
- 31:32he might be doing silly things here and her
- 31:35fighting a UFC fighter and whatever, but I don't think
- 31:38he's not sincere. I think he's absolutely
- 31:40sincere. And I think, I think these,
- 31:42these type of people, and I think I fall into that
- 31:47category. Like I wasn't living the life
- 31:50that I'm living now, right? When
- 31:52I was younger and you see so much evil and dirt and
- 31:56bad around you that you just think. There's
- 32:02got to be goodness somewhere. I've
- 32:04seen pure evil. Yeah, yeah. And
- 32:06I don't want to see it anymore. And
- 32:07when you honestly, there's another good point, by the
- 32:10way, the red pill movement, when they talk about these
- 32:14bad women or women are bad, this and that, like I
- 32:17get to a certain degree, not that woman are bad,
- 32:20you know, before I get attacked. But
- 32:22it's to say, I mean, look at the woman they're
- 32:25bringing on to their podcast. This
- 32:27is literally most. Woman in the West. I
- 32:32mean, you had the other day with the rest. I
- 32:34was watching this podcast. What's
- 32:35it called? Fresh and fit. I
- 32:38just clicked on it. I don't know. It
- 32:39came up. I clicked on it. I
- 32:40was like, might as well listen to something. No
- 32:42problem. And then he brings on a bunch
- 32:44of girls. And he asked her, would you
- 32:47do, what's your name? This and most of them are only
- 32:50fans and this and that. And
- 32:51he goes, like, I think he, I don't know how the
- 32:56conversation kind of goes. What's
- 32:57your body count? And based for those who don't
- 33:01know, I think she says she's like 25 or something
- 33:04like that. And it's like 43. What?
- 33:09I'm thinking, why is this chocolate? Why
- 33:12is it? Bacala or something? What's
- 33:13going on? It's a bingo. 43. But
- 33:18anyway, but by the way, this isn't, look, there's
- 33:21so much to talk about here that, you know, if a
- 33:27woman, as well as a man, not like, because you know,
- 33:31the thing is, we talk about woman, for example,
- 33:34oh, you know, excuse me for saying it, like her
- 33:37body count is 30. The man is 30. He's
- 33:41a man. It's okay. No,
- 33:42it's not okay. I'm sorry. It's
- 33:43not okay. That's right. Haram
- 33:45is haram. Sin is sin. When,
- 33:48when in Islam, if a woman and she's Muslim, for
- 33:51example, and her body count is 30, and then she
- 33:55repents, she repents from our heart sincerely from
- 34:02our heart. Then no one's allowed to judge
- 34:06her. I said, you will commit a
- 34:08sin if you do. And that's the problem with
- 34:10this repulm movement is that it's just like,
- 34:13they're just savages. Yes, relentless. Yeah.
- 34:15And it's just like, I get why you guys are sick of
- 34:19it. I mean, I'll be too. I
- 34:21mean, there's no such thing as honor or dignity
- 34:25anymore. But this is the problem with
- 34:27the West. The West has created this.
- 34:29Yeah. They've destroyed what a
- 34:31woman is. They've destroyed what a man is.
- 34:33The sanctity of a human body,
- 34:34human souls, is become corrupted. 100%. It's
- 34:39just exacerbated by social media. 100%. I
- 34:42don't think it's helping at all. 100%. On
- 34:44a more lighthearted note, how would you compare it
- 34:47to like Maudi or him coming out on a boxing
- 34:51match with Latmeh playing? I
- 34:52want to hear your thoughts because obviously you know,
- 34:54you know, I did brother Muhammad more personally.
- 34:58So, I mean, we'd add the other
- 35:00men. Did you watch the video of him
- 35:01coming out to boss him? For
- 35:03me, I was like, you know, he smashed it. He
- 35:05came out to boss him. When I had to boss him. I
- 35:08nearly did a gunfinger. I'm not gonna lie. And
- 35:10Latmeh was like, I respect that. In
- 35:12my media, I'm like, you know what? He
- 35:14smashed it. Like from the, from the aspect.
- 35:17I don't watch Maudi's content.
- 35:19But for example, he started off
- 35:21with him and neon recycling. I
- 35:23tell Kursi just on a live stream with 200 ,000
- 35:28watching Maudi and walla. I think he's genuine, genuine.
- 35:30I genuinely believe like he's
- 35:32genuine when it comes to his Islamic beliefs, when
- 35:35it comes to show no bullet. I'm
- 35:38not going to say he does everything for likes and
- 35:41for views and all of this. I'm
- 35:43sure there is an aspect to it. But
- 35:44I don't speak for him. That's
- 35:46something he can, he can speak for on his own
- 35:48behalf. But I do feel like he needs
- 35:51the right guidance into what are you doing online?
- 35:55And if you've reached such a
- 35:56status where you are so famous, walla is famous,
- 36:00bro. Everyone's talking about more
- 36:02extremely. It's just gone like this within
- 36:05from speaker's corner to. That's
- 36:08why I'm saying is like we shouldn't be looking up to
- 36:11them. No, that's the point. Can
- 36:13I just say something? Yeah, when it comes to brother
- 36:17Muhammad, Maudi, I think there's two aspects that we
- 36:21need to focus on. One aspect is. He
- 36:27put mud on the mat. Yeah, but that's his word. Yeah,
- 36:33I don't know. So we've got to look at the
- 36:36two aspects. Look, Dean is Dean. Religion
- 36:40is religion. Amr al -ma 'roof is one thing.
- 36:43Naya 'a al -munkar is one thing
- 36:44as well. And we have to be straight and
- 36:47honest. So I think from one aspect is
- 36:49that we have to be clear that some of the things
- 36:53that he does. Again, I'm saying some of the
- 36:55things, not everything. Some of the things he does is
- 36:59absolutely against the teachings of El -Bait. It
- 37:02does not reflect the teachings of El -Bait. And
- 37:08we've all got our sins. Sometimes
- 37:11what I say and do doesn't reflect the teachings of El
- 37:13-Bait. The other aspect is this. I
- 37:18would say this. Bahasa, let's say you are sharing.
- 37:21And you've got the status and
- 37:22you've got this fame and you've got this recognition,
- 37:25global recognition. There should be like an added
- 37:27responsibility. So I'm going to get to that.
- 37:31So that's why I said some
- 37:32things. I think, look, it's the same
- 37:37thing with Niko. Someone asked Sheikh Uthman Ibn
- 37:40Farooq about, you know, like Niko is still doing
- 37:43this and this and that. And
- 37:45he goes, look, he's a, obviously the difference
- 37:48between him and Niko is that Niko is a convert or
- 37:51a reverber. But he's like, look, he's
- 37:54learning. He lives in that world. It's
- 37:57hard to get out of. Yeah, I heard that. Yeah.
- 37:59At the end of the day, I know Mauddin personally on
- 38:03a personal level. He's one of the most generous,
- 38:05loving, pure hearted people that I know. Fun
- 38:11to be around, always laughing. But
- 38:15we also have to say that, yeah, some of his things
- 38:18that he does online is does not represent at all
- 38:20bait. And look, should the youth take
- 38:24from him? I would say, I would say,
- 38:28no, don't take a religion from him. Some
- 38:31actions are definitely not in line with it. It
- 38:35will be or Islam itself. I think he might even agree
- 38:39with that. Because he doesn't, sorry to
- 38:41interrupt, but he doesn't come out and say, I'm a
- 38:44Muslim streamer or I'm streaming about Islam. He
- 38:47doesn't. Yeah, he says I'm a streamer who
- 38:50happens to be Muslim and I use the opportunity to
- 38:52bring Islam publicly. Like he always says on his
- 38:56stream, I pray five times a day. I've
- 38:58never missed a prayer. I've never missed that. And
- 38:59you see him in streams. He's
- 39:01praying. You see him sometimes in the
- 39:02Sajjada as well. Many, many, many, many years ago,
- 39:04he was at Speaker's Corner given that one. Yeah.
- 39:07Yeah. But look, it's part of the
- 39:10bigger conversation, isn't it? Look,
- 39:12at the end of the day, he can do whatever he wants
- 39:16to do. Okay. And he says, we have to
- 39:20just make it clear that some of his actions are
- 39:23not in line with Ahlul Bayt, Alaykum Al Salam.
- 39:26There's also another responsibility
- 39:28from our side. I rate him, by the way, for
- 39:30not missing Salah since he was four years old. Masha
- 39:32'Allah. That's something I think, when he
- 39:34was four years old, not proud of. Yeah,
- 39:36100%. He's a badge of honor for his
- 39:39spiritual responsibility as well. There's
- 39:40a responsibility from our side. So
- 39:43there's a hadith from Mahmussada, attribute to
- 39:46Mahmussada. And it says that basically a
- 39:49man, you know, there was a gathering, Imam Sadaq was
- 39:55there, and a man comes and he starts to criticize and
- 39:58talk against this man that is this, is that, he's
- 40:01sinful and whatnot. The Imam replies to him, he
- 40:04says, where can you get a perfect brother? Or
- 40:12upon you is your brother, like for you to accept him
- 40:16completely. So the Rwayah is basically
- 40:19saying, Imam Sadaq is saying, it's upon you to
- 40:22accept your brother completely. And
- 40:24then he continues, he says, and who is free from
- 40:28faults and flaws? What am I trying to get to?
- 40:32Now the hadith itself, like I
- 40:35say, is attribute to Imam Sadaq. But
- 40:37there's a lot of different Rwayah that strengthen the
- 40:41Ma 'ana of the Rwayah. So the meaning of what the
- 40:44Imam is saying. And it's to say that, yeah, we
- 40:47can sit here criticizing him day and night. At
- 40:50the end of the day, he is our brother. Yeah.
- 40:53We accept him with his folks. But
- 40:56that doesn't mean we don't speak out against his
- 40:58mistakes because he's not doing it behind closed
- 41:01doors. He's doing it in front of the,
- 41:03you know, thousands of people. So
- 41:06we have to, you know, be clear as followers of Ahlul
- 41:09Bayt that, yeah, these actions we don't agree
- 41:11with, he is our brother. We
- 41:13love him and no one is free from faults. That's
- 41:17just the truth of it. So that's the way I look at
- 41:21it anyway. So it's a perfect way to bow,
- 41:23I think. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Look,
- 41:26as like we said, it's part of the bigger conversation.
- 41:28The streaming culture, the push
- 41:31towards Islam. I want to, with permission,
- 41:34bring up someone else. Okay.
- 41:36Someone who I think is slightly different in
- 41:38nature, but in the same way, appeals to youth,
- 41:41who's very involved in the circles of Ahlul Sunnah,
- 41:44who visits a lot of centres, who goes viral on
- 41:48Twitter, on TikTok. Can you have any guess what
- 41:51I'm trying to talk about? He's
- 41:53got acronym double A. Oh. Double A? Ali
- 41:58Dawah. Daki Aiman. Daki
- 42:00Aiman. I want to ask you about Daki
- 42:02Aiman. Because look, Daki Aiman is an
- 42:04interesting one, because I think he's got a very
- 42:08unique selling point in the sense that he understands,
- 42:12I think, the situation a lot of the Shababah in, a
- 42:15lot of the youth are in, the challenges they face.
- 42:18He appeals as a character, you
- 42:21know. But there's a similarity in the
- 42:24sense of Adab, when you're talking about Islam or
- 42:27religion, to what degree do you use a tone or a
- 42:31language in a masjid, or in a gathering, or on a
- 42:35YouTube video and that kind of thing. Now,
- 42:38whether it's about him specifically or in general.
- 42:40I think he means like the
- 42:41Aki Aiman approach. Yeah, the approach. Where
- 42:44do you, where does one draw the line when talking
- 42:46about religion and Islam? When
- 42:48I'm coming out, not me and myself, but when someone is
- 42:51in a position where they have thousands of people
- 42:52watching them every week. Let's
- 42:53say for example, after Maghrib, we have 20 ,000
- 42:56plus listeners a week, a month. We've
- 42:59happened to love being able to reach 100 ,000 every
- 43:01month. But the point being is we try,
- 43:04Allah is our witness and we know we are not
- 43:05perfect, but we try and censor ourselves where we
- 43:09think we might go over the line. We
- 43:11try not to overstep the boundaries and whatnot.
- 43:13Okay. When do we draw the line
- 43:15between being relatable without being learned? Do
- 43:18you see what I'm saying? And
- 43:19then put yourself public. Mother,
- 43:21you know what? This is a perfect question. So
- 43:25I might go a bit off topic in a certain sense.
- 43:28I think I'll answer about Aki
- 43:32Aiman. So I think it's, there's
- 43:36absolutely nothing wrong from what I've seen from
- 43:38him and what he does. I think it's very relatable
- 43:42and very beautiful. What he does, yeah, of course,
- 43:47there's a bit of slang, this and that, but that's
- 43:50fine. He's not claiming to be a
- 43:52scholar. Yeah. He's not claiming to be a
- 43:54student of knowledge. That's one thing I like about
- 43:55him. And you know what? He's
- 43:57not going into mad details about religious stuff. He's
- 44:00just saying the fundamentals of religion, for example.
- 44:02Pray your prayer. Pray
- 44:03your prayer. Be good to your parents. I've
- 44:05seen him talk about how someone can disrespect their
- 44:08mom, girls, and their parents. Sisters,
- 44:11their hijab, how to deal with the other gender. Stay
- 44:15off the streets. Yeah, stay off the streets.
- 44:17Drugs, this, gang life. I
- 44:19don't think there's anything wrong with that. Yeah,
- 44:21bread and butter. By the way, you know, to get
- 44:23to what I want to get to, because I think it was a
- 44:26question that, you know, we can move on to a really
- 44:30important discussion, which is, I truly feel, if we,
- 44:39okay, how I want to word this correctly, I want, I
- 44:43want you to see, I feel as she, we have failed in
- 44:48that way and in bringing the community together to
- 44:54become one strong community and become a community
- 44:58that's involved in that way in, in every sense of the
- 45:03world. So let me explain. So
- 45:05for example, if you look at brothers from Ahlus
- 45:08Sunnah, the brothers from Ahlus Sunnah, you see this,
- 45:13they're in different fields. Like
- 45:16Ali Dawah doesn't claim to be a student of knowledge.
- 45:18I've never seen that. Right.
- 45:20Have you? No. But have you seen the way
- 45:22he interacts? Yeah. It's, it's actually like,
- 45:25you know what, I enjoy stuff. Then
- 45:27you have on the other side, Sheikh Uthman ibn
- 45:31Farooq. Yeah. Then you have the
- 45:33journalist, Dili Hussain. Yeah.
- 45:36Then you have Mohammed Hujab, who is a student of
- 45:38knowledge. A bit, a bit, a bit wacky
- 45:41sometimes, but he does his thing. And
- 45:44my whole thing is, is when feminism came about, the
- 45:50whole wave of Sunnis attacked it, liberalism
- 45:54attacked it. They're at the forefront. LGBTQ.
- 45:57When I say this to our brothers and I'm sitting
- 46:00down, they're like, yeah, but we're oppressed. Yeah,
- 46:04but we, um, what's it called? There's
- 46:07not many of us. And, and, and you know what?
- 46:11That's one of the things that
- 46:11really makes me sick. Wallah.
- 46:14You know why? As a shi 'i, you should think
- 46:18like this. One of you is worth a thousand
- 46:22of them. One sister is worth a thousand
- 46:25of their sisters. That's what you need to, you are
- 46:29the followers of Ali bin Abi Qalib. You're
- 46:31the followers of Sayyid al -Zaynab, Al -Hasan and Al
- 46:34-Hussain. Ali bin Al -Hussain, Mohammed
- 46:37bin Ali, Ja 'far bin Mohammed, Mousa bin Ja 'far,
- 46:40Ali bin Mousa, Mohammed bin Al -The Imams of Ahl al
- 46:43-Bayt, Alayhum Al -Salam. You should be so great. You
- 46:47should be on top of the world. Allah.
- 46:49Like, I'll be honest with you. When
- 46:52I walk into a Sunni mosque, and I know they
- 46:54know me, I walk in with my head high. We
- 46:58need to exchange the way that we're thinking. No,
- 47:01but there's not many of us. What
- 47:03do you mean there's not many of us? When
- 47:04Rasulullah fought, the opponents, the enemies, the
- 47:11kufar, there were three times the amount of men
- 47:14that the Rasulullah had. They
- 47:17had over a thousand, they had about 300. You
- 47:21know? So it's not our numbers game.
- 47:23We have to be more efficient.
- 47:24It's quality, over quality. And
- 47:26we don't have that. We don't have, like, I'm not
- 47:29going to mention names now, yeah? But
- 47:31we had, like, for example, a media outlet, a Shia
- 47:33media outlet. Honestly, I was like, when you go
- 47:39through, you're like, you know, don't say you're a
- 47:43Shia. Just go and be a Sunni or
- 47:44something. It's just like we're always
- 47:46defeated. The defeated mentality doesn't
- 47:48get us anywhere. Enough is enough. I'll
- 47:51tell you a story about a man called Ibrahim bin
- 47:54Muhammad al -Thakfi. Yeah? Listen to this story. This
- 47:58man lived in the third century after Hijrah. And
- 48:03he was known to be a historian. But
- 48:06he wrote a book called Kitab al -Ma 'rifah. And
- 48:09he was in Kufa. In Kitab al -Ma 'rifah, the
- 48:14book was basically talking about the virtues of Ahlul
- 48:17-Bayt and then the methalib of their enemy. So
- 48:21he's talking about all of the bad actions and
- 48:25basically the bad things they did. And
- 48:29then it was said to him, the people of Qum, will
- 48:32send him a la 'ibla, come to us. Because
- 48:35the people of Kufa are basically, you know, the
- 48:39reduced price she has. Yeah,
- 48:40yeah. You know, like, no, don't do
- 48:42that. Don't do that. Don't
- 48:46do that. And you know, when you go to
- 48:49Tesco's, and then there's that part, it's called the
- 48:52yellow stickers. And then better of the, the
- 48:54Iraqi, Asians, whatever else, fighting to get
- 48:58there, the type of shia is in Kufa. So
- 49:01the people of Qum al -Lak come to us. He
- 49:04goes, tell me where the furthest place from the
- 49:09shia is. Furthest, not in distance, in Aqidah.
- 49:13Who's the furthest away from the
- 49:14shia's? The Nawasub, those that hated
- 49:18the shia and Imam Ali, right? Where
- 49:20were they? In Asfahan. Wow.
- 49:24Down the road. It was not so essential. Yeah.
- 49:25So he goes, no, no, I'm not going to come to Qum
- 49:29where there's a lot of shia's. I'm
- 49:30going to go in the middle of them and start promoting
- 49:32to Shia and talking about against the enemies of
- 49:35Ahlul Bayt. This is who we are. We're
- 49:39built upon the backs of men like that. That's
- 49:46how the shia got to us. But
- 49:48we're here, no, we need to be in every field. The
- 49:52journalist, like I think Dileh Hussain is doing an
- 49:55absolutely amazing job. Why is it when Piers Morgan,
- 49:59for example, this whole Palestine thing was
- 50:02happening and he was bringing on all these
- 50:03Muslims to discuss the Ghazra, Israel conflict and
- 50:07all of this stuff. Why did he not even think
- 50:12about bringing a shia? I'll tell you why I think he's
- 50:14done the case. It was approach. It's
- 50:16the way we brand ourselves. It's
- 50:18the way we speak, all of that stuff. You
- 50:20mentioned about the approach of someone like Aki Aiman.
- 50:24The guys, he speaks directly.
- 50:27Muhammad Hajab speaks directly. And
- 50:29they speak Muhammad Hajab spoke articulately when he
- 50:31went on Piers Morgan, for example. No,
- 50:33the second one. The second one was that. I'm
- 50:34not going to say that he did not, that we don't
- 50:37have those people. On the contrary, we have those
- 50:40people. We have those people. But
- 50:42as a community, maybe it's just the people I know.
- 50:45But we are guarded, we're soft
- 50:48spoken. We are, you know, sometimes we
- 50:51don't engage in an environment where it may be
- 50:54messy. I have to interrupt you. Go
- 50:56on. We are protected by Allah, and
- 50:58we're all here. Lovers of Aba Abdullah. Just
- 51:01for you. I thought we were all here.
- 51:05I thought we were all here.
- 51:06He's definitely here. When
- 51:08Zaynab, peace be upon him, was in Damascus, she gave
- 51:12her a speech. She shook the whole empire. So
- 51:17this whole soft spoken. I'm not saying it's the right
- 51:20thing. Don't get me wrong. I'm
- 51:21saying that is the way a lot of us are by our
- 51:24nature. We need to start changing. I'm
- 51:25not saying it's the right thing. What
- 51:26I'm saying is that the characters that we mentioned
- 51:29earlier, the five, six, seven names we mentioned, a
- 51:32lot of them have. And why has Muhammad Dean gone
- 51:34become so global in his name? It's
- 51:36because he's he's direct. He's
- 51:38got no filter. And at times it can be
- 51:40positive. No, but mode in at times it
- 51:42can be positive and times it can be detrimental.
- 51:44Listen, my Dean, my personality is
- 51:46funny. That's why he was getting all the
- 51:48wrongs. What I'm saying is the
- 51:49directness, the lack of a filter. Yes.
- 51:52You know, look, we're talking about the Palestine
- 51:54thing. Don't forget. You
- 51:56have to be free. In our senses. So
- 51:58bro, we are not going to allow in a jump, a cut
- 52:00bar generally a brother like Aki Aiman to come to
- 52:03the front and start talking about linking girls. But
- 52:06he doesn't. He doesn't do that. He
- 52:07does do that. I'm not saying no for a cut.
- 52:09What a jump. I
- 52:09know. I saw a video. No,
- 52:11no, no. I don't think so. On
- 52:13the contrary. I think it was just a
- 52:16normal. No, no, no. Ahmed
- 52:17is on Friday. No, no, no. I'm
- 52:19not saying he gave the foot. I
- 52:20don't think so. But in a job gathering, I
- 52:21think maybe I'm wrong. You have Jumaanites like Shat
- 52:25Ahmad Sin Man who is soft spoken. Yes.
- 52:28But at the same time he's powerful. Yeah.
- 52:30And you probably need more people like that. Yeah,
- 52:33yeah, I agree. I agree. I'm
- 52:35saying every four, by the way, we are the sneakers
- 52:38of this world. It's media training. It's
- 52:40PR. We're not well versed. Are
- 52:42you telling me? Are you telling me? Sneakle
- 52:43is media training or Aki Aiman. No.
- 52:47They are students. Where did they train them in
- 52:49class injunction? They're students of the game.
- 52:51They've read, they've watched,
- 52:53they've listened, and maybe they've had support or
- 52:55assistance, or they put themselves out there. They
- 52:57didn't care whether they get one view or a thousand
- 52:59views. Just what I'm saying. I
- 53:02feel like we, sorry, bro, I feel like we as a
- 53:04podcast or as a brand, we've gone out on a limb
- 53:07because we've tried something different whether
- 53:09we're right or wrong. Allah knows best. But
- 53:11we're trying to produce content on the podcast and
- 53:13with Muhammad Ali on Jumaanites. Where
- 53:15we're doing stuff, we're challenging the state's
- 53:17course of typical shi 'a media. And
- 53:19we're trying to do stuff, have conversations people
- 53:21don't have. Talk about things people don't
- 53:23talk about. We're doing it in a different
- 53:24format. You have a prayer with a
- 53:25hoodie talking about, a khpar at ayun. Do
- 53:28you know what I mean? Ayun at a khpar. By
- 53:30Muhammad Ali. These are things that you don't
- 53:32do. It's not seen really in our
- 53:34circles and trying new things, different recipes,
- 53:38different, maybe that's what it is. But
- 53:40I like what you said about numbers don't matter. It's
- 53:43not an especially we don't have a leg to stand on
- 53:47bro. We out here talking about 72
- 53:49and 30 ,000. We should never be a quantity
- 53:53matters. Always about quality. Always
- 53:56about quality. But I'm just very curious to
- 53:59know about the reasons why there may be a lack of
- 54:05engagement from the youth and whether it's the fault
- 54:07of maybe us as maybe brothers who are in the 20
- 54:10late 20s early 30s mid 30s who are not doing that.
- 54:13Maybe we are but we're not doing
- 54:14it right. Should we just what I mean? Like
- 54:17where is it? Where is the floor? We
- 54:19are so connected being a small community. I'll
- 54:21tell you where the floor is. We
- 54:21have 60 centres in the UK 70 centres, maybe 100
- 54:24centres in the UK. We should be very well
- 54:27connected. We should know everyone. We
- 54:29should easily be able to create an intricate internal
- 54:32network of of magylists and speakers and youth events
- 54:36and whatnot where everyone is aligned on the same
- 54:38page. We're not doing that. Can
- 54:40I say something? Yeah, sorry, sorry. I
- 54:42actually half agree with you. But
- 54:45I fully agree with Hassan. Oh,
- 54:47wow. Oh, that's it. I'm
- 54:50your house. I'm finished bro. Take
- 54:52over. Take over. No,
- 54:55if I'm going to say I'm a follower of Imam Ali Ibn
- 54:58Ibn Talib in terms of Shia. And
- 55:00if we go back to the Thakalain and we go back
- 55:01to Rasul Allah or to me back to the source Allah
- 55:03our creator Subhanahu Wa Ta 'ala, we should be proud
- 55:06and confident of our beliefs, of our Qida. And
- 55:10as you said, you know, we should be we should be
- 55:12proud. And I've had poetry like this.
- 55:15Shia, I am proud. They
- 55:17call us Rawaf and our heads held high proud of
- 55:19the slave. There's a reason for this. And
- 55:22the reason why I agree with you. I
- 55:24don't think it's a problem you face, I face, you
- 55:27face, you face. No, I think our leadership
- 55:28failed us. Our leaders. And
- 55:31why do I say this? Because they told you, huh? Don't
- 55:35upset the other side. They told you, huh? You
- 55:39have to always be respectful to the other
- 55:40side. And even if it's true, I mean,
- 55:43when you speak the truth, if it hurts them, but the
- 55:46truth hurts. Why are we not going to spread
- 55:49the truth? And the Prophet didn't hurt his
- 55:51people when he came to them and said to them,
- 55:53your eyes are false. Yes, there are ways of speaking
- 55:56and there is possibly manners. That's
- 55:59where the difference. Of, you know, Tabligh and Da
- 56:01'wah, of course. There's no confidence, Sayyidina,
- 56:04walla. That's my point. Let
- 56:05me give you an example. Yeah.
- 56:06Let me give you an example. I
- 56:09was sitting down one time and there was 20, 30
- 56:12people. We talked about problems in
- 56:15the Shia community. I said to them, shall I
- 56:17highlight to you the main problem? They
- 56:19go, yeah. I go, okay. Watch
- 56:21this. So I go, who knows here? I
- 56:24was like, everyone, please be quiet. Just
- 56:26a few questions. That's okay, please. They
- 56:28go, yeah. Who here knows Sahih al
- 56:30-Bukhari? Everyone puts their hand up. Cool.
- 56:34Great. Very nice. Who
- 56:36here knows Al -Kafi? Two, three hands. I
- 56:40was like, do you see the problem now? We,
- 56:43the Shia, don't even go back to our books of
- 56:48hadith to know what our Imam say. We've
- 56:51become so unconfident that it's like, but I'm not a
- 56:54scholar, Habib. I'm not telling you to derive
- 56:56a haqqam. I'm just saying, read. Try
- 56:59to understand. Talk to your friend. Message
- 57:02a scholar, like I found this. What
- 57:03do you think? Try to understand. I'm
- 57:06not saying you become a faqih. You
- 57:08know, our classical scholars, there's a scholar
- 57:10called Najashi in the fifth century. He
- 57:15goes, in Baghdad, in a masjid, we used to sit
- 57:19there studying Al -Kafi. We need to bring back the
- 57:23culture of Al -Kafi. We need to bring back the
- 57:25culture of hadith. We need to bring back the
- 57:28culture of the Quran and Sunnah. I
- 57:30want to read you out something. There's
- 57:34a scholar called Shaheed Al -Thani. He
- 57:38has a book called Muniya tul -Mureed. Muniya
- 57:42tul -Mureed. He says, listen to this, he
- 57:48says, in his book, this book is basically the
- 57:52etiquette of how to seek knowledge, the etiquette of
- 57:57dialogue with other students, the teacher and
- 58:01so on. Brilliant book. And
- 58:03it's been translated by the way, you can, Iqaz have
- 58:05published it. He says, it is the most
- 58:07important. He, the student, must begin by
- 58:11mastering the memorization of the book of Allah Al
- 58:17-Aziz, perfectly. That's one. But
- 58:20listen to this, watch this now. For
- 58:21it is the foundation of all sciences and its
- 58:25foremost. And our Salaf, ease the word
- 58:29Salaf, yeah. Don't get scared, it just means
- 58:31predecessors, used to only teach hadith or
- 58:35jurisprudence to those who memorize the Quran. And
- 58:40by the way, I'm talking to myself. It's
- 58:41not like I've memorized the Quran, right? But
- 58:44this is how far we are. Yeah,
- 58:46man. This is how far we are. We
- 58:48don't even know Al -Qaaf. How
- 58:50do you not know Al -Qaaf? What
- 58:52have you been reading? It's not just that. It's
- 58:54the four main books in the Shia. We
- 58:55can't name, but we talk about Sunnah, Abidah, Wud,
- 58:58Haqam, and the Shia Puli. We
- 58:59talk about random books of Al -Sunnah and Jama 'a. But
- 59:02if you ask, what's the four main books in the
- 59:03Shia? They don't know. We
- 59:04don't know. And even if they do know, by
- 59:06the way, they've memorized it. You're
- 59:07like, okay, follow up question. Have
- 59:10you read them? I just said Al -Qaafi. Why?
- 59:14Why? What are we doing? You
- 59:18obviously can't be confident when you don't know your
- 59:22own stuff. You're not going to be able to.
- 59:25You know there's a Rwaya and
- 59:26it's one of the most beautiful Rwaya. This
- 59:29Rwaya, it basically says, it says Imam al -Sadaq
- 59:34tells, he says, ya Zorara. I'm
- 59:37paraphrasing. He says, ya Zorara. There
- 59:40will come a time upon the people where the Imam will
- 59:44be hidden. He will go into occultation.
- 59:47And he goes, and what should
- 59:48we do? He says, to be upon what you
- 59:51are upon. If you're not going back to
- 59:53the books of Hadith, how are you going to know what
- 59:56they was upon? We're already bad with the Quran,
- 1:00:02but now we're bad with Hadith too, which is even
- 1:00:04worse. Why are we in this state? I
- 1:00:10honestly think, I think the cultural, multi -faceted, it
- 1:00:15must be multi -faceted. There's
- 1:00:17a few things, but I think the culture of the mimbar
- 1:00:22has really taken over. We've
- 1:00:24become very reliant on Marajah, Taqleed. I'm
- 1:00:30not saying I'm against Taqleed or any shape or
- 1:00:32form. No, of course we should do
- 1:00:34Taqleed, but I'm saying like, we've just done
- 1:00:36Taqleed in everything. I said Taqleed in everything.
- 1:00:40Even a solid D. Yes,
- 1:00:42and the mimbar has come in for many of us. These
- 1:00:46sources of knowledge, rather than maybe a source of
- 1:00:50reminders or a starting point for foundational
- 1:00:53knowledge to then go and look into. A
- 1:00:55lot of us will remember lectures and series and
- 1:00:59say, I love that speaker, I love that Sheikh. Do
- 1:01:01you know what I mean? And then that will be like all
- 1:01:03my Islamic studies for the day done. Do
- 1:01:05you get me? It's multi -faceted, like it
- 1:01:07comes down to curriculum within our madrasahs. It
- 1:01:09comes down to like you said the Marajah and the
- 1:01:11way we learn about our scholars and the sciences
- 1:01:14of, you know, it could be anything, el -Marajah, it
- 1:01:16could be anything. On a basic level, foundational
- 1:01:19knowledge should be something we should all
- 1:01:21seek. Foundation. Foundational knowledge should
- 1:01:26be something we all seek. What
- 1:01:27did you say? You said it's fun. But
- 1:01:29you get me? Like whatever is romantic,
- 1:01:34basically, we'll learn about, you know, I had, I
- 1:01:41saw a real, maybe a few weeks ago, the Sheikh said,
- 1:01:45he goes, we will learn, and not that it's wrong.
- 1:01:48Don't get me wrong. We'll
- 1:01:50learn every detail about every part of the different
- 1:01:54Maqat in literature where Imam was struck, how many
- 1:01:57strikes he had on his body on the Yom Al -Arshurah,
- 1:01:59this, that, this, that, this, that. Every
- 1:02:01detail. But basic information about any
- 1:02:05of the other Aayn ma alayhum was -salam, we won't
- 1:02:07know. Or we won't know of the verse
- 1:02:08of the Quran. And I speak to myself as a
- 1:02:10foremost. And of course, it's hard for a
- 1:02:12lot of us, you know. But at the same time, like
- 1:02:14we're grown men, like we study, you know, degrees
- 1:02:17and we have jobs and we have experts and we have
- 1:02:20expertise in industries. We can apply like our brains
- 1:02:23to a different topic. But when it comes to this,
- 1:02:25it's like there's an apathy which exists. I
- 1:02:27don't know what it is. You know, it's crazy. You
- 1:02:29saying that most of the Ashab of the emma were
- 1:02:33businessmen that were traveling around the Muslim
- 1:02:35world. Like, for example, there's a
- 1:02:38companion called Hariz, Sajid Stani. Right.
- 1:02:41He was from Kufa, but he used to go to Sajid Stani.
- 1:02:45And he was an oil seller.
- 1:02:47Which is where, sorry. Sajid
- 1:02:48Stani is basically Sistan, where it says Sistan he's
- 1:02:50from. Iran. Yeah, Iran. Okay.
- 1:02:53And he was so oil -gi, things like that. He
- 1:02:57was an oil seller. And it was a faqih. All
- 1:03:02of the Ashab used to basically go back to his
- 1:03:04book on Salah. Most of our Ahadif on the Ahkam
- 1:03:07of Salah go back to his book. You
- 1:03:09know that, yeah? Sassah -o -gi in Sistan. Yeah.
- 1:03:11And listen, he was a big businessman. Yeah.
- 1:03:14Huge businessman. This is what I'm saying to you.
- 1:03:17There is, by the way, every
- 1:03:19single shi 'a -shubi, a faqih. Faqih
- 1:03:23not in the technical term of what is used today.
- 1:03:28Faqih, as in he understands the
- 1:03:30Ahkam, the shari 'a, the Quran, the sunnah, the
- 1:03:33Ahadif. He understands these things.
- 1:03:35But we're not even there. Yeah.
- 1:03:38I think like we do, we need to start, you know,
- 1:03:43for example, they do courses. Like
- 1:03:45if you look at our brothers and sisters from
- 1:03:48Ahla Sunnah, like I remember, I mean, when I
- 1:03:51was a kid, I would go to the masjid. They
- 1:03:53would have like how to discuss with a Christian.
- 1:03:57Yeah. A five -day course. How
- 1:04:00to discuss with shi 'as. Oh.
- 1:04:02Yeah, yeah. That one was solid. It
- 1:04:04had a long one. I was a new name. Yeah.
- 1:04:06Things like that. Interesting.
- 1:04:09Asura Sunni kid once walking around Crickord with
- 1:04:12a book that says how to destroy the shi 'a. How
- 1:04:14to destroy the shi 'a. You know, if I saw him, I
- 1:04:19just spotted him and then he would have got happy.
- 1:04:21I'd be like, yeah, I'm shi 'a.
- 1:04:22Thank you very much. That's
- 1:04:24for your training at the practice. Yeah,
- 1:04:25let's do it. But yeah, I think we really
- 1:04:31need to start moving away from that. Do
- 1:04:32you think the majority of Al -Sunni Wa Jama 'a
- 1:04:34actually read and study religion? No,
- 1:04:39I don't. I actually think for my...
- 1:04:43Because it's not fair. We're
- 1:04:44just talking about the shi 'a here. Yeah,
- 1:04:46yeah, no, no. So I'm... I
- 1:04:48won't say you'll talk about them, but generically, we're
- 1:04:50talking about Muslims here today. I'll
- 1:04:51tell you what. So I don't think so. But
- 1:04:54I think... You see, I base it upon
- 1:04:58success rate. Okay. So I'll tell you, for
- 1:05:02example, if you start a business now and then six
- 1:05:05years down the line, you're going to look at your
- 1:05:08success rate. How was it developing every
- 1:05:10year? When we look at our community
- 1:05:13and we look at their community, again, I do not
- 1:05:17want to see anyone say to me, they have more people,
- 1:05:21we are oppressed, stop playing the victim, stop
- 1:05:24it. Just be a man and let's do
- 1:05:26this. When you look at their success
- 1:05:29rate, the amount of converts they have, if you
- 1:05:33look at the events they're holding, and listen, look,
- 1:05:38we as a community, or let's just say we had shi
- 1:05:43'a voice. How massive was that? So
- 1:05:45we have the capabilities. Let's
- 1:05:48be honest. So we can do things. If
- 1:05:51you look at their events, if you look at the amount
- 1:05:54of students of knowledge they're producing, if you
- 1:05:57look at the books that are being written, the books
- 1:06:01that are being translated, I mean, Al -Kaafi, Al -Kaafi
- 1:06:06what got translated, I think it was like over 20
- 1:06:10years ago, but no one really knew about it. How
- 1:06:14many people knew about the translation of Bukhari? So
- 1:06:17all of these factors play a role. So
- 1:06:20what I'm trying to say is, yeah, maybe most of them
- 1:06:24don't read, but is the Masajid packed? Yeah?
- 1:06:30Is there, when there's, what's it called, lectures
- 1:06:34on, is it packed? Hey, when do you see the
- 1:06:36Masajid packed? Maharram. Maharram. Do
- 1:06:39you see it packed in Ramadan? It's
- 1:06:41the biggest now. For Quran, is it packed? No,
- 1:06:44it's growing in numbers. That's
- 1:06:46good. Okay, but is it packed? It's
- 1:06:50not. It's not. It's
- 1:06:51not. It's not with the marketing that
- 1:06:52they're doing. Yeah, it's not. They're
- 1:06:54giving away, not just PlayStations, but they're
- 1:06:57giving PlayStations 10. How the pound have you
- 1:06:58attended? It's not even PlayStation 5,
- 1:06:59it's PlayStation 10. They're doing something. And
- 1:07:02people, what's it called, they're not getting the
- 1:07:05numbers they should be getting. And
- 1:07:06there's not to say that they are failing. We
- 1:07:08are failing. My whole thing is, is, our
- 1:07:13driver, like he was saying, let's talk about them. No,
- 1:07:16I want to talk about us because I want to progress.
- 1:07:18I want the community to
- 1:07:19progress. We need to start moving
- 1:07:21forward. Beautiful. Ahsant. Ahsant.
- 1:07:25There's so much things I have to question about in
- 1:07:27my life today. Maybe like coming back, kind of
- 1:07:32going cyclical and coming back to the beginning of
- 1:07:34the discussion. There are distractions everywhere.
- 1:07:38There are things that we can get
- 1:07:39pulled into. Sometimes we live in a fallacy and
- 1:07:42we think true knowledge and enlightenment lies with
- 1:07:45understanding sociology and how the human brain works
- 1:07:48and how gender works and stuff. Well,
- 1:07:50we've got gems and we've got treasures at our
- 1:07:52disposal. We've got people of knowledge
- 1:07:54within minutes away from us. We
- 1:07:57have books of Ahadid, like you mentioned, the Holy Qur
- 1:08:00'an on our shelves that we don't touch and it gathers
- 1:08:02dust. Do we take that as true
- 1:08:05knowledge you mentioned about the Rijal? And
- 1:08:07what was the other word you use? Dhaqara
- 1:08:09wa? Dhaqara wa Rajal. And
- 1:08:12you know, like talking about men and masculinity,
- 1:08:15males versus men, like we've got the Holy Qur 'an
- 1:08:20at our fingertips. We're completely wasting the
- 1:08:24opportunity. Do you know what I think it
- 1:08:24is, Ahmed? This has just come to my mind
- 1:08:28now. I think our problem is a
- 1:08:31shia. When we want to learn something,
- 1:08:35I'm not speaking about scholars and those students
- 1:08:38of Ha 'uzah and things like, let's say myself and
- 1:08:41people like me. If we're going to learn
- 1:08:44something or research something or trying to
- 1:08:46explore something new, something different, we're
- 1:08:49doing it not because we want to, I don't think
- 1:08:52we're doing it generally to get closer to Allah,
- 1:08:55Subhanahu wa Ta 'ala. I don't think we're doing it
- 1:08:57because we want to increase our knowledge and build our
- 1:08:59understanding of our faith and our faith and
- 1:09:01everything. Because no, it's because we want
- 1:09:02to prove a point. To say that I understand this
- 1:09:05point and I can destroy you at this point. We
- 1:09:08become reactionaries to Sunnis. Just
- 1:09:10like the Repil move into Venice. I'll
- 1:09:12only go to learn something to counter you, to prove
- 1:09:15my point that I'm right over you. We
- 1:09:17fall prey to this, especially me, like if you
- 1:09:19ask me to talk about, like, oh, why does Shia's
- 1:09:22prey on the Tauraba? Yeah, in my head, I'm like,
- 1:09:24yeah, this, this, this, this. Do
- 1:09:26you know what I mean? But if you ask me something
- 1:09:27which will only apply to us or something that all
- 1:09:29Muslims do, obviously. Why do I even want to answer
- 1:09:31that question? We come to defend Shia rather
- 1:09:35than say this is Ghazalor. Yeah,
- 1:09:37yeah, yeah. So I'll tell you how, let me
- 1:09:38give you a story, a quick, small story. It's
- 1:09:41a funny one. So I realized throughout the
- 1:09:44years, you know, we're talking to, like, let's
- 1:09:47say, like a Sunni person. Yeah.
- 1:09:50And then the Sunni guy, you know, you're talking,
- 1:09:53it's happy, like, yeah, Masha 'Allah. This
- 1:09:55is, where are you from, brother? Yeah,
- 1:09:57my father grew up in Iraq. My
- 1:10:00mom's from South Lebanon. Shia.
- 1:10:02Yeah. Really? You're Shia, bro. Yeah.
- 1:10:06Do you know what I did? Probably
- 1:10:08Shia, isn't it? Yeah, do you know what I did? I
- 1:10:10reversed the psychology. So what I do now is, I'll be
- 1:10:14talking. Where are you from, brother?
- 1:10:17Sudan. Masha 'Allah. Sunni.
- 1:10:20Yeah. Really? The Sunni. Yeah.
- 1:10:25Why are you Sunni, brother? What?
- 1:10:28That's Sunni. And they're saying that no
- 1:10:30one's ever said that to them, because usually
- 1:10:32they're the ones that have their foot on top of our
- 1:10:34heads. So when I said that, they
- 1:10:36were like, what? They're confused. I
- 1:10:41reversed the whole thing to them. So
- 1:10:44my whole thing is. Reverse psychology. Yeah.
- 1:10:46It's just we, and that's how we need to be, by the
- 1:10:49way. Reverse psychology. No,
- 1:10:53but it's for us to be like, I am a Shia. I
- 1:10:57am the powerhouse. It's pride. It's
- 1:10:58pride. It's good pride. I
- 1:11:01am on Haq. Yeah. I am on Haq. I'm
- 1:11:03happy, have confidence, but to have confidence, don't
- 1:11:06have any confidence. Confidence
- 1:11:09based upon Al -Quran, and Sunnah, and evidences and
- 1:11:13proofs. That's what we need to be like.
- 1:11:15But we've just, shah -x, he
- 1:11:20said Imam Ali said this. Okay.
- 1:11:24Can you prove that Imam Ali said this? This
- 1:11:27is the difference. We have to start going back
- 1:11:29to our books. We need to have the culture,
- 1:11:32the culture of Al -Kafi, the culture of reading
- 1:11:35Ahadith, the culture of reading the chains, of the
- 1:11:39chain of narrators. We need to have the culture
- 1:11:42of sitting down with scholars and discuss some
- 1:11:44real issues. You know, like I sit down.
- 1:11:48Well, the other day I was in a
- 1:11:49Q &A, and there was a few other mashayikh. The
- 1:11:54questions. Why do we, there was one
- 1:11:58question. Like they were like, yeah, I
- 1:12:01can pray with a Christian. What?
- 1:12:04I can pray with a Christian. No,
- 1:12:06you can't. What tab? Can
- 1:12:08I pray with a Christian? Why
- 1:12:09do you want to pray with a Christian? He
- 1:12:11said Allah has a son. So why are you going to pray
- 1:12:13with him? The questions are just crazy.
- 1:12:18What did the sheikh say? He's
- 1:12:22like, no, brother, no. Okay.
- 1:12:25He felt sorry for him for even that question. Hasn't
- 1:12:30someone from the audience asked that? Yeah,
- 1:12:31but it's just like. Yeah, priorities are not in the
- 1:12:34work. We asked the wrong questions
- 1:12:36by the way. Yeah, yeah. Well,
- 1:12:37even like, let's just go back to sneak a little
- 1:12:39bit. I've seen so much questions. You
- 1:12:41asked about Shia. Like, cannot tell if he prayed
- 1:12:43behind the Shia. I don't know if you guys
- 1:12:46have seen this. Like all his videos is kind of
- 1:12:49why Shia like that. Why do the Shias like that?
- 1:12:51Why do they ask that? Bro,
- 1:12:52do you know what's my blame? I
- 1:12:54know what we're going to wrap up. No,
- 1:12:55I've only seen him do it a few times. Oh,
- 1:12:57many times, many times. I know we're going to wrap
- 1:12:59up. You've seen him do it many times.
- 1:13:00Maybe it's my algorithm. It
- 1:13:02is your algorithm. But you know, it's just
- 1:13:03annoying that like, like, like you said, maybe to
- 1:13:07the, to others we're seen as a minor. Well,
- 1:13:09we are a minority and that's a fact. I'm
- 1:13:12not saying it's a pity fact. I'm
- 1:13:14saying, but if you are a school which is 90, 95%,
- 1:13:17whatever it is, 80 to 85 to 95 % of the Muslim
- 1:13:20world, why is one of the first things that converts
- 1:13:23or reverts learn is about a minority sect, which if
- 1:13:27you're so convinced are gulat and you know, all
- 1:13:30the doing the wrong things. Why
- 1:13:32is that one of the first things you learn about? Do
- 1:13:34you get me? Maybe it's because there's a
- 1:13:35threat. Maybe it's because you're worried
- 1:13:37that they'll fall prey to will I or whatever it is.
- 1:13:40But it that in itself annoys
- 1:13:43me. I know we talked about it
- 1:13:44before the pod. And I told you, like, it's
- 1:13:46just annoying how you have people who are public
- 1:13:48figures who cannot leave Salat al -Jamal, but will
- 1:13:52publicly to millions of people say she are kafar.
- 1:13:55Who are you, man? Like,
- 1:13:56or for example, Twitter, you have a guy who will
- 1:13:59put something with price. And
- 1:14:01they'll talk about what I mean. I'm
- 1:14:02a mean or something. Today I saw a brother. He
- 1:14:05tweeted saying we have one thing which we are proud
- 1:14:08of is what I've made a woman in beautiful tweet.
- 1:14:10Like it was a nice tweet. He
- 1:14:11put in in first hand. I was like enjoying it.
- 1:14:13People were applying to him like,
- 1:14:15bro, no, you're a kafar. Well,
- 1:14:16I really don't understand like the logic. Why?
- 1:14:20Why do you put yourself in a position when you're more
- 1:14:22kind of you are going to be asked like, why did you
- 1:14:24say that? Because you have to back it up
- 1:14:27and it just annoys me, man. Like
- 1:14:29it's the culture. So there's a few things when
- 1:14:33it comes to brother Sneeko. Yeah,
- 1:14:35I'll say this. Would you invite him to Tashayi
- 1:14:42'a? So I would say this. I'll
- 1:14:44say if brother Sneeko, I would say we call you
- 1:14:50towards Tashayi 'a, Tashia 'a of the Holy household. The
- 1:15:00Tawheed that tells you that Allah has no phone. Allah
- 1:15:04has not made of body parts. Allah
- 1:15:06Subhanahu wa Ta 'ala is not everywhere in location but
- 1:15:12everywhere with his knowledge. His
- 1:15:13knowledge encompasses everything. We
- 1:15:17call you towards Tashayi 'a to believe in the willyya,
- 1:15:20the Master ship of Ali ibn Abi Talib, the man and the
- 1:15:23only Sahabi and the only Sahabi. In
- 1:15:27Shia and Sunni literature to ever say that he has
- 1:15:32complete knowledge of the Quran and Sunnah. How
- 1:15:37is it that a man that's claiming to have full
- 1:15:40knowledge of the Quran and Sunnah that no Sahabi has
- 1:15:45ever said or said regarding the Quran and Sunnah. He's
- 1:15:48saying, I have full knowledge. How
- 1:15:50is it that he didn't become the Khalif of
- 1:15:52Rasulullah? So we are calling towards
- 1:15:55Tashayi 'a, the Tashayi 'a, the Shia 'aism that purifies
- 1:16:00Rasulullah. Doesn't say Rasulullah was
- 1:16:03bewitched. Doesn't say Rasulullah doubted
- 1:16:05himself or none of these things. No,
- 1:16:10this is the Tashayi 'a that we are calling you to, is
- 1:16:13the Tashayi 'a that tells you that you must follow a
- 1:16:16divine guide after Rasulullah. So
- 1:16:19brother Sneeko, I understand that you have been taught
- 1:16:22that we are kufar. I understand that you have
- 1:16:25been taught that we are some weird cults that do
- 1:16:29weird things. And I don't disagree that some
- 1:16:32things you may see online that Shia's do may look
- 1:16:35weird. But I ask you to look into
- 1:16:38Shia'sm, to look into the biography of Ali ibn Abi
- 1:16:41Talib and to understand who this great man is. A
- 1:16:45man that was the gateway to Rasulullah. The
- 1:16:48man that truly understood the Quran and Sunnah after
- 1:16:51Rasulullah. Naam sallallahu ala Muhammad wa
- 1:16:55rahmatullah. Anyone who is maybe shaking or
- 1:17:03hesitant on the path of finding Haqq, and you know
- 1:17:06there's that thing, if you're sincere in your
- 1:17:09search for knowledge and truth, you'll find it. I
- 1:17:12don't blame him by the way for doing Takfir on the
- 1:17:16Shia. Let me explain myself. You
- 1:17:19know what, he entered Islam through that way and
- 1:17:23they're telling him these guys worship other than
- 1:17:25Allah. All of these things, if they
- 1:17:28tell him they worship other than Allah, what do you
- 1:17:31expect them to do? It's innocent ignorance as well.
- 1:17:34It's a blissful ignorance. He's
- 1:17:35not being exposed to other. I
- 1:17:37do think he's sincere and I pray that he, you know,
- 1:17:41by the way, even if he doesn't want to become
- 1:17:43Shia, I'm more than happy to sit down, have a meal,
- 1:17:46talk and discuss. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I
- 1:17:51should thank you so much bro, thanks for coming out
- 1:17:53and thanks for lying. I think we've filled up a
- 1:17:56whole 360. What a conversation.
- 1:17:59Alhamdulillah. Next time maybe we'll do
- 1:18:01the green pill. Yeah, next podcast we'll sneak
- 1:18:04up. Yeah, I like that. I
- 1:18:08said to him, thank you so much. Say
- 1:18:10it, how do you find it? By
- 1:18:13the way, to tell you the truth, I was so tired
- 1:18:15before this conversation. So was I, I'm fully awake
- 1:18:18right now. By the way, when you see me
- 1:18:19started a lot, it's usual, I'm tired. You
- 1:18:21did amazing. You did amazing and you've made
- 1:18:24me question myself on a number of things. Thank
- 1:18:27you. I just want to end the
- 1:18:32podcast. My brothers and sisters, I
- 1:18:35love you all. From Ba 'umum Mahaa. Your
- 1:18:41struggles, my struggle. Your hardships and my hardships,
- 1:18:46inshallah. Let's put our heads together.
- 1:18:49Let's go back to the hadith of
- 1:18:51Ahlul Bayt, alaykum as -salam. Let's
- 1:18:54go back to the Quran. Let's
- 1:18:55try to learn the words of Ahlul Bayt. The
- 1:19:00only thing that is physical, the closest thing
- 1:19:02to something being physical from Ahlul Bayt are the
- 1:19:06words. They're words that have been
- 1:19:08transmitted to us through these books of hadith. So
- 1:19:13let's go back to the books of hadith. Let's
- 1:19:15start doing circles where we sit down, we just go
- 1:19:18through a hadith and talk and try to learn these
- 1:19:20different hadith sciences. May
- 1:19:22Allah elevate all of our statuses and ranks and
- 1:19:26guidance, inshallah. I hope you guys enjoyed that
- 1:19:31podcast as much as we did. I
- 1:19:32feel like we've had a full journey and if you are
- 1:19:35here and you still made it, you made it to the
- 1:19:37end. What shall I change, come up
- 1:19:39please, bro? And I want 30 minutes in. And
- 1:19:42I want 30 minutes in. If you've made it this far,
- 1:19:45guys, thank you so much. I hope you've enjoyed as much
- 1:19:47as we have. We've learned a lot. Hassan,
- 1:19:49it's so great to have you on again, bro. Thank
- 1:19:51you so much. And inshallah we'll have you
- 1:19:52back again for a third time. Hopefully,
- 1:19:55you'll be our first guest who's come on three times,
- 1:19:57inshallah. InshaAllah. We'll make it happen soon,
- 1:19:58in the future. Remember As -yudhaa. InshaAllah.
- 1:20:02Likewise. Take care, everyone. We'll
- 1:20:04see you next week. And yeah, take care. As
- 1:20:08-salamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
