- Craig: Well week three in the NFL did not disappoint, and today we are talking week four waiver wire. Welcome back to Fat Daddy Sports. If you're new here, my name is Craig. Hey, if you see anything that you like, be sure to hit that like, drop a comment, and hit that subscribe button. Today we are taking a look at waiver wire for week four in the NFL. There were some key injuries, some guys that we're looking at picking up this week. So let's jump right into it. Again, on our waiver wire videos, we are looking at guys that are owned in less than 50% of sleeper leagues. And you can see right here, our first guy on the waiver wire this week. Is Ollie Gordon. ⁓ Devon Achan left the game early with what they say is a serious knee injury or what they believe is serious knee injury. We'll see what the tests come back as, but it certainly did not look good in that game against Kansas City. Ollie Gordon came in. ⁓ he got banged up a little bit too, but it was just cramps that he was dealing with. ⁓ you can see right here, he had 17 carries in the game, only turned that into 41 yards, but I think that's a pretty good Kansas City defense. Obviously, I'm a little bit biased as I'm wearing a Chiefs hat, but ⁓ they made it a lot closer than it probably needed to be. But Ollie Gordon looked good. The Chiefs couldn't stop him. And going forward, I think if HN is out for the long term, Ollie Gordon is a very, very good pickup. Obviously, the Dolphins are not a super great offense, not a lot of scoring opportunities. But if you're in a deep league and you need a running back body, Ollie Gordon is a very good option. He's a big running back, six foot two, two hundred and twenty five pounds. In his second year out of Oklahoma State. He's shown glimpses in the past. And I think he could be a real bruiser for this team. If they could get Malik Willis running more, I don't understand why they're not doing it. ⁓ but if they can unlock that offense a little bit, we've seen plays out of the receivers. ⁓ if they could get down into the goal line, Ali Gordon is a very good goal line back to have. The next guy that we're talking about is over on the New York Jets, Braylon Allen. We saw Brees Hall get banged up late in that game against Detroit. And ⁓ went down with a thigh injury. I believe it was a thigh, maybe a quad, same difference. ⁓ went down grabbing it, said he felt something pop, got twisted, kind of turned, and you knew right away that cut to commercial, it didn't look good for Brees Hall. ⁓ we'll see what the extent of that injury is, but regardless, Braylon Allen needs to be owned. He only saw four carries in his limited time, but ⁓ definitely if Brees Hall is out, Braylon Allen needs to be owned. He will be a very focal part of that Jets offense. They don't have a whole lot of playmakers. They need a running back, and Braylon Allen could be that guy. You need to go out and get him this week. Obviously, we're gonna wait and see kind of what the extent of that injury is. I I don't know how much I would be willing to spend on Braylon Allen. I do think that ⁓ you know, if this is a long-term injury for Brees Hall, Braylon Allen's gonna have a lot of value going forward. ⁓ I would probably be fairly aggressive. ⁓ I guess it depends on what you need, how big your league is, but you can see he's only owned in twenty-two percent of leagues. Hopefully, if you're a Brees Hall owner, you already had Braylon Allen stashed on your bench. ⁓ if not, I would be fairly aggressive going and trying to get a guy like Braylon Allen. I think Ali Gordon, I would probably lean more towards. ⁓ the Jets offense is better than the Miami Dolphins, I believe, but I do like Ali Gordon a little bit more. And the next guy we're talking about is the Los Angeles Chargers running back, Keaton Mitchell. You can see right here, only owned in 26% of leagues. ⁓ he looked good this week. ⁓ Omarion Hampton didn't look the greatest. ⁓ they tried to give it to him a few times in close to the end zone, didn't get it in. I mean, this whole Chargers offense has looked lost ⁓ through three games. Keaton Mitchell was maybe the bright spot. He looked explosive. They did give it to him on that little push pass around the right side. He was able to get in the end zone. But you can see on the ground, eight carries, 52 yards, ⁓ three catches for negative five yards, but he did get into the end zone. So it kind of saved his day a little bit. 13.7 PPR points. ⁓ I don't know. Hampton just has not looked the greatest to me. And maybe I'm just being a little over ⁓ Over dramatic on it because I'm an Amari and Hampton owner and I was a big truther coming into this year. But ⁓ today, 15 carries for 56 yards. He was targeted once in the past game. He just hasn't really done a whole lot. He's gotten into the end zone the first two weeks that kind of saved his days. ⁓ but then today you saw he didn't get into the end zone, and it could be real tough sledding going forward against Seattle, Denver, and Kansas City the next three weeks before that bye. I think right now could be a good time to buy in on Keaton Mitchell as they are looking to get more playmakers involved in that offense. Keaton Mitchell could be a fine buy low right now. ⁓ go out and get him in your leagues. All right. The next guy we're talking about is in ⁓ New Orleans, the backfield. Travis Achan left this game early this week with a hamstring issue running up the right side, and he pulled up early, ⁓ going out of bounds, immediately grabbed that left hamstring. And that Is a big concern. I mean, this was already a backfield that I was kind of staying away from. But if you're in desperate need of a running back, Alvin Camara, he hasn't been super efficient this year. ⁓ two weeks ago in week two, we saw nine carries for 15 yards. This past week, nine carries for 36 yards, so a little bit more efficient. He got involved once in the past game, ⁓ a little bit more involved in his first game in there, but ⁓ they also looked CJ Donaldson, the rookie out of Ohio State in this game. He only had one carry, but he was in there a little bit more. these are two guys, if you're in a deeper league, I mean, Donaldson is not owned anywhere. Kamara is owned just in 55% of leagues. And then obviously Kate Kendra Miller is also in the mix there. I mean, four carries, fourteen yards. I don't really know. I don't know what to make of this backfield. They kind of throw people around. They obviously spent the money on HN, but. if you're in need of a running back, I guess these guys, I there I wouldn't spend any of my fab money on any of these guys because you just don't know who it's gonna be. But if any of them clear waivers and I've got an empty spot, I would probably pick up somebody there. And then over to the wide receiver position, a guy in Malik Washington that we've talked about a few times on these waiver wire videos. ⁓ currently only owned in forty two percent of the league or in forty two percent of leagues. He saw 10 targets against Kansas City, only was able to catch five of those for 56 yards. But ⁓ he's gonna be out there running a lot of routes for this Miami Dolphins team. They need playmakers, especially with Devon H. Han out. The rookie Caleb Douglas was out in this game, so maybe that contributed to, but we'll see how long he's out for. ⁓ but Chris Bell. And Malik Washington kind of were those one-two receivers there for Miami. Malik Washington had 10 targets in this game. If you're in need of a wide receiver, he could fit that bill. Another guy that could fit the wide receiver role that you may be looking for is a guy that is owned in just over 50% of leagues, but we'll bend the rules just a little bit because I think it's important to point out Wandale Robinson in this game against the New York Giants. He saw 11 targets, seven catches, 57 yards, and a touchdown. ⁓ this Tennessee team has talked about how they need to get the passing game going. They need to get that offense going. And you saw it today. They've kind of force-fed him the ball. 11 targets, seven catches. ⁓ this is kind of what we expected out of Wandale Robinson. We've seen that in the past when he was with the Giants. ⁓ he could be a high-target guy. Moving forward, I don't know if that will continue. I mean, they obviously have Carnell Tate there that they really love, the talented rookie. ⁓ but I would Go and get Wandell Robinson if you're in need of a flex play wide receiver or a you know wide receiver four. I think he could be a good stash for the rest of the year. Talk about a high target wide receiver, Keenan Allen. This guy just doesn't ever age. I mean, look at the picture of him, a beautiful bald head, 34 years old. Comes over to the Colts this offseason, and he has nine targets in this game. ⁓ the first game that they had without Alec Pierce this year, Josh Downs obviously saw a lot of attention. But Keenan Allen also nine targets, six catches, 63 yards, and he got into the end zone. Only owned in 19% of leagues right now. ⁓ he could be a valuable flex play going forward. ⁓ we'll see how that target ⁓ distribution looks going forward. But I think Keenan Allen is a trusted veteran that Daniel Jones will be looking for. And I really think that ⁓ if he's out there on your waiver wire, which he's in a lot of leagues, he's available. I would probably spend a few bucks on him and try to go get him this week. Another guy that I would ⁓ be a little bit aggressive on trying to go get, ⁓ we'll see what the injury is to Baker going forward, but it's Ted Hurst in Tampa Bay, ⁓ only owned in seven percent of leagues right now. This is a guy that dynasty players have really been raving about all offseason and coming into the year, and we're starting to see that come to fruition now. Tampa Bay saw Jalen McMillan get banged up in this game in week three. ⁓ and Ted Hurst caught a long touchdown, a 40-yard touchdown, only only catch on the day, only three targets. ⁓ but this Tampa Bay offense has looked very lackluster so far in the year, and they are definitely looking to turn things around. Ted Hurst is a big body, 6'3, 195. ⁓ they have raved about him all offseason, all training camp making plays. This is an offense that really needs some playmakers right now, and I could see them just forcing him into action right now. And force feeding him the ball going forward. So only owned in 7% of leagues. That needs to come way up this week on the waiver wire. This is another guy that we've talked about, obviously, with the Brock Bowers injury in the first couple weeks. But Michael Mayer, I just think that he has some value there in Las Vegas. They use a lot of two tight end sets. ⁓ Brock Bowers came back in week three and saw a million targets. But Michael Mayer was still able to get into the end zone, saw three targets himself, was able to catch all three of those for 32 yards, and he got into that end zone. Like I said, if you're in a deeper league, ⁓ Michael Mayer could be a very good dart throw if you're in one of those chopped leagues or guillotine leagues. ⁓ I still think that Michael Mayer provides some value there. Kirk Cousins, ⁓ he likes his tight ends, and I could see Michael Mayer having some of his own standalone value. Obviously, Brock Bowers is the tight end there that ⁓ you want. And that teams are going to focus on, but I could see Michael Mayer sneaking in for a few touchdowns here and there throughout the season. Talk about a guy who is sneaking in for touchdowns, and it is Darren Waller in Carolina. The first two weeks, he was able to get into the end zone a couple of times. ⁓ in week three, he was not able to get into the end zone, but he did see eight targets. That was his most on the season so far. It actually ⁓ was more than he saw in the first two weeks combined. Was able to turn that into five catches for fifty-one yards. ⁓ this is a Carolina passing offense that they struggled this week against Cleveland, which I kind of expected, ⁓ but I think better days are ahead. They have a lot of big body wide receivers. They present a lot of one on one matchups, and I think at any time any of those guys, whether it be McMillan, ⁓ Coker, or Darren Waller, could go off just because I think teams will focus on the other guys and it will leave somebody open on the backside one on one. ⁓ we did see Jalen Coker get a little banged up. We'll see what that looks like going forward. But if you're in a league that you need a tight end, Darren Waller could be a very good last-minute stash. All right, this one surprises me a little bit. ⁓ 48% owned is Ronda Gadston the second. I thought he was gonna have a much bigger role in this ⁓ Chargers offense in week three. We saw David Najoku banged up, we saw Charlie Kohler banged up, ⁓ Justin Herbert's brother got called up from the practice squad to be on the squad for this game. I really thought Orande Gadson would get more involved. ⁓ it seems like maybe they're frustrated with Quentin Johnston over the first two weeks. Lad McConkey is still banged up, obviously. And the running game has looked ⁓ at best. ⁓ I thought Orande Gadson would be a lot more involved. You see here he only had three targets, wasn't able to connect on any of those, but I do think going forward, They will get Gadston more involved. He is a freak athlete. He is too good to not be on the field for a for an offense that is really struggling right now. His downside, though, is that he can't block. And so, really, when he goes out there, it's kind of a telltale for a passing situation. ⁓ but I do think better days are ahead for this Chargers offense. And I do think that Gadston could be a guy that maybe waivers run, and then he's still sitting there, and you could pick him up on the cheap. I wouldn't spend more than a couple dollars on him though, just because he's so inconsistent right now. And the final guy that we're talking about is the New York Jets tight end, Kenyon Sadiq, the rookie wide receiver from Oregon, the rookie tight end from Oregon. ⁓ he is a freak athlete. That's why I said wide receiver. He is built like just a stud. 6'3, 241 pounds. But Kenyon Sadiq kind of broke out in this game. ⁓ you see eight targets, seven catches, 105 yards. And a touchdown, 23 and a half points. Mason Taylor banged up with a thumb injury, not able to go in this game. And so Kendon Sadiq got that start at tight end and was able to cash in on it. Third string tight end, Jeremy Rucker, also got involved, but I'm not too worried about him going forward. I mean, I think Sadiq is the guy, especially with Adnai Mitchell banged up. We'll see if he's able to go in week four. ⁓ Garrett Wilson did get banged up a little bit late in that game with a concussion possibly, but they did say that he was cleared and able to get back in there if they needed him. So he should be able to go for week four. ⁓ but I think going forward, Kenyon Sadiq could be a very valuable piece of this Jets offense. Brees Hall obviously got banged up. We talked about earlier in this video, and they need playmakers. ⁓ Geno Smith was looking for him early and often, and I think that's going to continue. I don't think that this was a fluke. I would be pretty aggressive if you need a tight end. I mean, that tight end position is so crazy this year. You don't know who's going to go off and when, but I really truly think that Kenyon Sadiq is going to ⁓ be very, very valuable for the rest of the season. Well, that's all I got for you guys today. Let me know down in the comments who you are picking up this week off of the waiver wire. Drop a like, drop a comment, hit that subscribe button, and I will catch you guys on the next one. See ya.
