- 5:55Speaker 10: Pc W crew Main event ray Uso was back again
- 5:59Speaker 10: on your Podcas has.
- 6:01Speaker 8: Man too nice. Summerslimon it felt a little bit like WrestleMania,
- 6:06Speaker 8: didn't it.
- 6:10Speaker 10: In a certain way of speaking, you could say that
- 6:13Speaker 10: it had it had its vibe. I don't know if
- 6:15Speaker 10: that will be for the best. I don't know if
- 6:18Speaker 10: it's in the most positive way of speaking.
- 6:19Speaker 2: But yes it did.
- 6:20Speaker 8: Like yeah, uh, it's just it felt just as exhausting
- 6:27Speaker 8: as much to watch. I mean we didn't have well,
- 6:29Speaker 8: I mean we didn't have a Hall of Fame to
- 6:31Speaker 8: deal with. We didn't have an n x T p
- 6:33Speaker 8: LD to also watch. But uh, nonetheless, WW is exhausting. Uh.
- 6:40Speaker 8: With that said, let's bring him out.
- 6:50Speaker 2: You wanted to watch Out, watch Out? Your last warning?
- 7:14Speaker 8: You've been wash this is your last cosson Doyle.
- 7:25Speaker 11: Oh it's me, It's me, It's a deal, whiley caution
- 7:29Speaker 11: is a word that I can't understand.
- 7:33Speaker 12: Uh oh yeah.
- 7:35Speaker 11: So the last couple of times I've been on, I
- 7:37Speaker 11: have forgotten to tell you guys this big announcement.
- 7:40Speaker 3: That I've been sitting on for a while.
- 7:41Speaker 11: And I just want to start to show off by
- 7:44Speaker 11: spitting it out there, letting the world know.
- 7:46Speaker 12: I think you're gonna think.
- 7:47Speaker 3: It's pretty cool. I and Peloton, friends, is famous.
- 7:54Speaker 8: Now your what.
- 7:59Speaker 11: Peloton with famous? It means I can see his workouts.
- 8:03Speaker 11: He could see mine if he so choose to. I
- 8:06Speaker 11: don't know that he has to, but we could. I
- 8:11Speaker 11: could compare and contrast how I did the same course
- 8:14Speaker 11: to the Celtic Warriors.
- 8:15Speaker 3: If I were to choose to do so, I have not.
- 8:19Speaker 11: That's beside the point. Sean just one step away from Chamus.
- 8:24Speaker 10: So does that mean that Seamus is going to have
- 8:26Speaker 10: a new YouTube channel series going soon, Celtic Warriors cycling
- 8:32Speaker 10: competing in the as.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Yeah, the pod.
- 8:44Speaker 8: How did you come across the idea of doing this?
- 8:48Speaker 3: I don't remember it was.
- 8:53Speaker 11: I think I think he put a thing on inst
- 8:55Speaker 11: the face that said, hey, follow me on telephone. So
- 8:58Speaker 11: I did, m okay, cool, but I followed.
- 9:03Speaker 3: I follow one person and it's shamous nice.
- 9:08Speaker 2: It's just that simple.
- 9:09Speaker 8: Yes, sometimes that's all the motivation you need every day.
- 9:11Speaker 3: It's like.
- 9:13Speaker 8: Jack's about and you know what, I guess his workout,
- 9:17Speaker 8: you know, does work because that man when he came
- 9:19Speaker 8: back early, you know, he got we even talked about
- 9:22Speaker 8: he got kind of hassled about how much weight he
- 9:25Speaker 8: had on and he was a little thick. But then
- 9:28Speaker 8: like Shamus went away for like a few weeks, came
- 9:31Speaker 8: back ripped the ship like you know, so whatever he's doing,
- 9:35Speaker 8: it's working.
- 9:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:37Speaker 11: I think the story there which they had told him,
- 9:40Speaker 11: you know, i'd be ready, you know, whenever and then
- 9:42Speaker 11: they called him about two months earlier than They're like, hey.
- 9:46Speaker 12: Can you be here Monday. Yeah, yeah, I mean.
- 9:54Speaker 3: You can't blame the guy. It must be.
- 9:57Speaker 11: I mean, it looks be so difficult, uh you know,
- 10:02Speaker 11: well to get to look like that, but to maintain
- 10:05Speaker 11: that while you're on the road and you're traveling so much,
- 10:08Speaker 11: you know, like.
- 10:10Speaker 3: You know, it's three in the morning.
- 10:11Speaker 11: Sometimes it's hard to find a grilled chicken breast, you know,
- 10:15Speaker 11: and it's really easy to find a waffle house.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, very true, very true.
- 10:23Speaker 11: I mean, I just I think I just add to
- 10:25Speaker 11: add the whole lot of layer of difficulties to uh
- 10:29Speaker 11: not being a.
- 10:30Speaker 3: Fat slow.
- 10:34Speaker 8: Well with that said, you guys, I got some news
- 10:36Speaker 8: for you. Let's let's play the news bumper, big news,
- 10:40Speaker 8: big news.
- 10:42Speaker 7: News team sets for you.
- 10:53Speaker 9: Well, I got news for you, news flash alcohol.
- 11:02Speaker 8: As of this morning, breaking News WW premium live events
- 11:07Speaker 8: are heading to ESPN platforms in the United States starting
- 11:11Speaker 8: in twenty twenty six. At points of twenty nine, I'll
- 11:21Speaker 8: tell you what, I have not seen one positive response
- 11:25Speaker 8: about this.
- 11:27Speaker 10: This isn't like it didn't come out of the mouth
- 11:29Speaker 10: of somebody with WW ESPN or TKO.
- 11:33Speaker 12: Yeah, you know, there's just a lot we.
- 11:38Speaker 11: Don't know yet, and a lot of like rumors still
- 11:42Speaker 11: swirling about this and that. The main one I think
- 11:45Speaker 11: is that if you already have a table sucription and
- 11:47Speaker 11: you get ESPN apparently you're going to be able to
- 11:51Speaker 11: access these paper views without paying the thirty dollars extra month.
- 11:55Speaker 11: But nobody's under that's true or not. If it is,
- 12:01Speaker 11: I'm in the career, I'm fine. But you know, I
- 12:05Speaker 11: guess a lot of a lot of cord cutters on it.
- 12:08Speaker 3: It's just still a cluster pluck. Well, you are a
- 12:10Speaker 3: five months to get it sorted.
- 12:12Speaker 11: So hopefully closer to the turn of the year we'll
- 12:16Speaker 11: know a lot.
- 12:17Speaker 8: More, right, I mean, this is just insane somebody like
- 12:22Speaker 8: me who doesn't have Disney plus I don't have Hulu,
- 12:26Speaker 8: Like I don't have that stuff because I'm just not interested.
- 12:29Speaker 8: You know, there's just nothing on there right now for me.
- 12:31Speaker 8: But does that mean, like if I have to eat
- 12:35Speaker 8: the ESPN app separately, Like, is that thirty dollars a
- 12:37Speaker 8: month just for that?
- 12:40Speaker 3: Yeah, you know you know what.
- 12:41Speaker 2: I mean, Like.
- 12:44Speaker 11: You gotta have also to the USA you watch Frank,
- 12:47Speaker 11: I don't even have access to the c W to watch,
- 12:51Speaker 11: and I see you have access to net Sense to
- 12:53Speaker 11: watch raw, You're gonna have access to peacock. And then
- 12:56Speaker 11: going forward the ESPN saying to watch you know, it's
- 13:01Speaker 11: it's I mean in sports are getting in the same way.
- 13:04Speaker 11: To watch the NFL, you gotta crowd to Amazon and
- 13:06Speaker 11: you have to subscribe to this.
- 13:08Speaker 3: And that and you have to you know, right, fucking ridiculous.
- 13:12Speaker 8: And I had this issue with with hockey at one point,
- 13:15Speaker 8: like I used to love watching the Flyers, like uh,
- 13:19Speaker 8: just just talking in general, but it became once streaming
- 13:24Speaker 8: apps started happening, it became more and more difficult for
- 13:27Speaker 8: me to catch every game because I couldn't just catch
- 13:30Speaker 8: it on slink TV or just regular cable. I would
- 13:33Speaker 8: have to, you know, certain games, I would have to
- 13:35Speaker 8: download it like another app or subscribe to an NHL
- 13:39Speaker 8: app or you know, the ESPN app or or something.
- 13:42Speaker 8: I could never just get every game in one area,
- 13:45Speaker 8: and it pissed me off because it's like, you know,
- 13:47Speaker 8: this is like my team and they play like an
- 13:49Speaker 8: hour for my fucking house, but yet I can't watch
- 13:52Speaker 8: it without subscribing to three different apps, Like uh, you know,
- 13:55Speaker 8: and then I stopped. I just stopped watching hockey because
- 13:58Speaker 8: it just became too much. Like I just got tired
- 14:02Speaker 8: of having to jump through hoops to watch what I like.
- 14:06Speaker 8: And to be honest, like they're you know, I might
- 14:09Speaker 8: be on that boat with like some most people who
- 14:11Speaker 8: are just casual watchers, Like if it you're gonna make
- 14:14Speaker 8: it this hard to access your content like this, you know,
- 14:18Speaker 8: it's it's gonna cost me this much a month just
- 14:20Speaker 8: to watch, you know, a few hours of wrestling, Like,
- 14:22Speaker 8: I don't know if it's even worth it. I've already like,
- 14:25Speaker 8: you know, put my foot down and like I'm not
- 14:27Speaker 8: I'm not downloading a cable app and paying a cable
- 14:30Speaker 8: slipscription just to watch back down because you know what
- 14:33Speaker 8: I mean, Like I've been.
- 14:35Speaker 11: Yeah, I mean, I mean, if you get Netflix to
- 14:37Speaker 11: watch ras, say, yeah, at least got this whole library
- 14:40Speaker 11: of movies and shows, and you know, a S fan deal,
- 14:45Speaker 11: if you're not into sports, what the fuck else is
- 14:48Speaker 11: there for you?
- 14:49Speaker 3: Not much? Yeah, So that's that's.
- 14:54Speaker 11: And I you know, I imagine a lot of WW
- 14:57Speaker 11: fans are also fans of actuals sports legitimates boys. But
- 15:01Speaker 11: I'm sure it's not a significent sector that aren't, you know,
- 15:08Speaker 11: So I think a lot a lot of people, a lot.
- 15:09Speaker 3: Of families are gonna have to make some hard choices here.
- 15:13Speaker 2: Yeah, And that's the thing.
- 15:14Speaker 10: See a lot of fans who are WW fans, yes,
- 15:17Speaker 10: are sports fans. But the biggest problem that ESPN has
- 15:21Speaker 10: always had for the longest, and it's been the struggle
- 15:23Speaker 10: with their ESPN Plus app and stuff like that, is
- 15:27Speaker 10: it doesn't always carry the sports people want to see.
- 15:32Speaker 10: That's the problem. Like ESPN has tons of content, but
- 15:37Speaker 10: you know what, the stuff that people actually want to see,
- 15:41Speaker 10: you don't need ESPN Plus for it. It's not like
- 15:44Speaker 10: there are games exclusive like for example, ESPN has the
- 15:48Speaker 10: NBA contract where they have NBA games on I think
- 15:51Speaker 10: Wednesdays and Fridays. That shit is on regular as ESPN.
- 15:57Speaker 10: You don't need ESPN Plus for it. So and there's
- 16:02Speaker 10: Monday Night football is on regular ass ESPN.
- 16:06Speaker 2: You don't eat ESPN Plus for it.
- 16:08Speaker 10: All the stuff that people tune into ESPN to watch,
- 16:12Speaker 10: you don't need ESPN Plus for it. And so with
- 16:16Speaker 10: this new streaming service that they're launching at a thirty
- 16:20Speaker 10: dollars price point, what the fuck is going to be
- 16:24Speaker 10: up there that you actually have to turn into that
- 16:29Speaker 10: that you have to actually go to that streaming service
- 16:31Speaker 10: to get that you cannot get anywhere else. It doesn't
- 16:36Speaker 10: make it like they keep advertising it as you get
- 16:38Speaker 10: access to ESPN's entire library of content. You know where
- 16:43Speaker 10: else you get access to ESPN's entire library content. Fucking
- 16:46Speaker 10: Channel twelve, ESPN. It's there, but I want to watch it.
- 16:52Speaker 10: I turn it on, and I ain't shelling out an
- 16:54Speaker 10: extra thirty bucks. So yeah, now they're getting wwepl e's okay.
- 16:59Speaker 10: That's one thing that this thirty dollars app is going
- 17:03Speaker 10: to have to draw people in UFC stuff. I don't
- 17:07Speaker 10: know how well that's worked out. I mean probably for
- 17:09Speaker 10: the most die hard of UFC fans. Yes, they may
- 17:14Speaker 10: tune in to ESPN Plus and shot out that extra
- 17:18Speaker 10: money on top for the for the pay per views
- 17:21Speaker 10: every month, but that's a system that they've been in
- 17:25Speaker 10: pretty much from the jump with UFC, so they're already
- 17:28Speaker 10: accustomed to that process of paying for these things every month.
- 17:33Speaker 10: And I'm pretty sure most fans don't buy every single
- 17:36Speaker 10: UFC pay per view when the person that they want
- 17:40Speaker 10: to fight is fighting or a big fight comes up,
- 17:42Speaker 10: those they'll buy.
- 17:43Speaker 2: The rest of them they just skip on.
- 17:46Speaker 10: So with this, So, how's the UFC going to work
- 17:49Speaker 10: with this new ESPN platform? Is it going to be
- 17:53Speaker 10: just there as part of your thirty dollars subscription or
- 17:56Speaker 10: is it your thirty dollars plus something on top for that?
- 18:00Speaker 10: The problem, the thing that they're missing the most in
- 18:03Speaker 10: this is the value proposition, and right now, love WWE,
- 18:09Speaker 10: but your pls are not worth thirty dollars every fucking month,
- 18:14Speaker 10: especially when they've been largely considered to be on the
- 18:17Speaker 10: decline this year. They have not been of the same
- 18:20Speaker 10: quality into twenty twenty five as they were last year.
- 18:26Speaker 3: And I mean most of the four matches.
- 18:29Speaker 10: Right, four to five matches for thirty dollars a month,
- 18:34Speaker 10: and with y'all's commitment to social media, half the shit
- 18:38Speaker 10: is right up online afterwards. Anyway, you know what the
- 18:43Speaker 10: returns and stuff that happened here at Summer Slam. That
- 18:46Speaker 10: shit was on YouTube by the end of the nights.
- 18:52Speaker 11: You're not going from ten dollars, Yeah, you're not going
- 18:55Speaker 11: from ten dollars to twelve dollars.
- 18:56Speaker 12: Doing from ten dollars to thirty dollars. That's a fucking
- 18:59Speaker 12: big yeah.
- 19:00Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a huge jumping.
- 19:02Speaker 10: They are really underestimating that they think and ESPN I
- 19:05Speaker 10: think is over I don't think. I don't know that
- 19:08Speaker 10: I will say that ESPN is overestimating the value of WWE.
- 19:11Speaker 10: But I do think they're overvaluing their own product right
- 19:16Speaker 10: and what they have less unless we find out, Well,
- 19:20Speaker 10: the product is about to launch this month, so they'll
- 19:23Speaker 10: see what the numbers look like between now and the
- 19:26Speaker 10: end of the year. As far as who's shelling out
- 19:28Speaker 10: thirty bucks for this product, and if the numbers was
- 19:32Speaker 10: looking relatively weak, they may have to readjust they may
- 19:37Speaker 10: have to adjust their price point, they may have to
- 19:39Speaker 10: come up with some tier plans, or who knows, They're
- 19:41Speaker 10: gonna have to figure out something. But I don't think
- 19:43Speaker 10: this is going to work out in the way that
- 19:45Speaker 10: they think it is. And Nick Con is apparently convinced
- 19:49Speaker 10: that fans will move from Peacock to ESPN. I just
- 19:53Speaker 10: found a statement that he gave earlier. I'm assuming today
- 19:58Speaker 10: with this news real, but I'm gonna read his quote
- 20:03Speaker 10: from him about well, will ww fans move from Peacock
- 20:07Speaker 10: to ESPN? Nick Con says, quote, well, the subs follow
- 20:12Speaker 10: the product to whatever that new platform is. I think
- 20:15Speaker 10: we've demonstrated to Peacock our subs will follow. They certainly
- 20:18Speaker 10: all followed from the WWE Network and that expanded that
- 20:22Speaker 10: subscribership extensively with Peacock. And there's obviously another product at
- 20:27Speaker 10: Peacock to watch, which our fans who subscribe primarily to
- 20:31Speaker 10: us were able to sample.
- 20:32Speaker 2: Same will be the case with ESPN.
- 20:35Speaker 10: That statement was from Nick con That statement, I think
- 20:40Speaker 10: is very detached from reality and is willfully ignorant of
- 20:47Speaker 10: a lot.
- 20:48Speaker 2: Of factors that played into it.
- 20:50Speaker 10: Namely, one, people, when they went from WWE Network to Peacock,
- 20:56Speaker 10: a lot of them were going from a nine to
- 20:57Speaker 10: ninety nine subscription at ww network to a five dollars
- 21:02Speaker 10: subscription at Peacock.
- 21:04Speaker 2: So they were actually saving money.
- 21:08Speaker 11: Yeah, I mean, and then before that, you're showing out
- 21:10Speaker 11: forty dollars a month for the pay per view, you know.
- 21:13Speaker 12: Right, they went and then it went down again, right,
- 21:17Speaker 12: and then it went.
- 21:18Speaker 10: Through the like, I don't know what type of analytics
- 21:21Speaker 10: they're looking at, did they Are they just looking at
- 21:24Speaker 10: the numbers? Are they looking at what tier everybody subscribed?
- 21:28Speaker 10: That because I'm pretty sure the overwhelming majority of people
- 21:31Speaker 10: who are subscribed to Peacock subscribed at the lowest tier just.
- 21:36Speaker 2: To get access to the stuff.
- 21:39Speaker 10: Not everybody's gonna subscribe is gonna pay for the highest
- 21:42Speaker 10: tier just to eliminate commercials or whatever other extra stuff
- 21:45Speaker 10: is there.
- 21:46Speaker 2: They're at the lowest tier.
- 21:48Speaker 10: So you're asking those same people who were at a
- 21:50Speaker 10: five dollars tier to now suddenly jump to a thirty
- 21:54Speaker 10: dollars price point.
- 21:57Speaker 2: What I mean, there's what I mean.
- 22:00Speaker 8: Look, when I went to Peacock, I I was not
- 22:03Speaker 8: happy that, you know, the w WW network got you
- 22:07Speaker 8: basically sold off. I wasn't happy about that at all
- 22:10Speaker 8: because I was content paying ninety ninety nine a month
- 22:13Speaker 8: for what content I got on WW, like the app.
- 22:17Speaker 8: That was it. I knew I was getting strictly just wrestling,
- 22:20Speaker 8: that's it. When I went to Peacock. Okay, like there
- 22:24Speaker 8: was some stuff on there, like even now, like I
- 22:27Speaker 8: go on I watched like the Ted TV show, I
- 22:29Speaker 8: watched Twisted Metals, so like there's a few things on Peacock.
- 22:32Speaker 8: I watched Modern Family whatever. But yeah, dude, like for
- 22:36Speaker 8: somebody like me who doesn't watch anything but wrestling now, Like,
- 22:40Speaker 8: if I don't know when I want to watch, you know,
- 22:42Speaker 8: we'll be watching that once a month. That's about it.
- 22:45Speaker 8: Thirty dollars.
- 22:47Speaker 4: Damn.
- 22:47Speaker 8: I can't do it. I just can't. I just can't
- 22:49Speaker 8: justify because like all these other streaming apps that we have,
- 22:53Speaker 8: like Apple TV, Disney Plus, Hulu, you know, HBO, Max whatever, like,
- 23:01Speaker 8: none of them those prices come anywhere close to that,
- 23:04Speaker 8: you know, like thirty bucks, and look how much they
- 23:06Speaker 8: have to offer the library. And I won't even pay that.
- 23:09Speaker 8: I mean, like, I like Disney, Don't get me wrong,
- 23:10Speaker 8: I like Disney Plus. But right now, I'm what they
- 23:13Speaker 8: call it cherner, Like, you know, when there's something good on,
- 23:16Speaker 8: then I'll subscribe for like a month or two binge watch,
- 23:19Speaker 8: and I'll get the hell out of there. I don't
- 23:20Speaker 8: I don't sign long term contracts. And I know they
- 23:23Speaker 8: they hate people like me, that's why they're doing these bundles.
- 23:26Speaker 8: But I I don't know, man, Like, I'm not gonna
- 23:31Speaker 8: be the only one who's gonna, you know, stand on
- 23:33Speaker 8: this and be like, you know what, I I don't
- 23:35Speaker 8: think I'm want to keep going. I don't think I'm
- 23:36Speaker 8: gonna continue like it's it's ridiculous, like Doyle said, like
- 23:41Speaker 8: all the outlets we have to go to to watch
- 23:45Speaker 8: wrestling now, I mean, I dream of a day where
- 23:49Speaker 8: everything's on one fucking app. I dream of a day,
- 23:52Speaker 8: you know. Uh. I also wonder if there was ever
- 23:56Speaker 8: talk in at one point in renegotiating Peacock deal or
- 24:02Speaker 8: maybe like even you know, another like maybe Netflix or
- 24:06Speaker 8: somebody picking them up. But I guess ESPN got the rightfully.
- 24:11Speaker 8: So I guess the deal is like what it was,
- 24:13Speaker 8: like one point something billion?
- 24:16Speaker 10: My guess, Yeah, that's my guess. Is that's how ESPN
- 24:19Speaker 10: landed the deal. They threw out the beat work. I
- 24:21Speaker 10: believe it. It's a five year deal. I forgot how
- 24:24Speaker 10: much it is per year, but I think the total
- 24:26Speaker 10: over five years is like one point six billion dollars.
- 24:30Speaker 8: Mmmm.
- 24:32Speaker 10: I think that's right, over five years. That's how they
- 24:36Speaker 10: landed though they shelled out.
- 24:38Speaker 12: Yeah, I meant exactly.
- 24:44Speaker 10: And you know, ESPN is clearly going all in on
- 24:49Speaker 10: sports because they haven't just done this thing with w
- 24:52Speaker 10: w E. They also have purchased God, they have a
- 24:56Speaker 10: deal going with the NFL right now where they've acquired
- 24:59Speaker 10: red Zone and I believe the NFL network as well,
- 25:03Speaker 10: in exchange for the NFL.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Getting an ownership stake within ESPN.
- 25:07Speaker 10: So, I mean, ESPN has made a lot of big
- 25:10Speaker 10: moves within the last couple of months or so in
- 25:14Speaker 10: preparation for launching this thirty dollars streaming service. Yeah, they've
- 25:23Speaker 10: had the USC thing, but we still don't know how
- 25:25Speaker 10: that's the structured under this streaming service.
- 25:27Speaker 12: We don't know.
- 25:29Speaker 3: Because you know the relationship.
- 25:33Speaker 10: Yeah, I mean, but they've had the business relationship with
- 25:37Speaker 10: just UFC. But we see what that program, what that
- 25:40Speaker 10: services looked like. With ESPN Plus, you pay for ESPN
- 25:43Speaker 10: Plus and then you pay again to actually watch the
- 25:46Speaker 10: pay per news.
- 25:47Speaker 2: So how is that going?
- 25:48Speaker 10: So it's a pay on top of a pay which
- 25:51Speaker 10: I imagine only, like I said earlier, only the most
- 25:55Speaker 10: die hard of UFC fans I think, are paying that.
- 25:58Speaker 10: So now we'll see what it looks like under this
- 26:00Speaker 10: new thirty dollars streaming service, is it? Because if I
- 26:04Speaker 10: was a UFC fan and y'all want me to show
- 26:06Speaker 10: out these thirty bucks, don't fucking pay per views better
- 26:08Speaker 10: be included? Yeah, they're not asking me for a goddamn
- 26:11Speaker 10: penny on top of them thirty dollars. Well, maybe maybe
- 26:17Speaker 10: if you know, if I was to play Devil's advocate
- 26:19Speaker 10: a little bit, maybe if they include the UFC pay
- 26:23Speaker 10: per views at the thirty dollars price point, and the
- 26:27Speaker 10: uh every wwepl E stuff at that price point and
- 26:33Speaker 10: maybe some and maybe at that you also get NFL
- 26:36Speaker 10: Network and NFL Red Zone, then maybe then you're starting
- 26:40Speaker 10: to add some.
- 26:41Speaker 2: Value to this streaming service.
- 26:43Speaker 10: Yes, for the real diehard sports fan who's into all
- 26:46Speaker 10: of those things, then you're starting.
- 26:49Speaker 2: To get some value. Proposition, But individual.
- 26:55Speaker 3: You are, I mean, like everybody is.
- 26:58Speaker 2: You are right, I'm not I'm saying me specifically. I'm
- 27:01Speaker 2: saying you is.
- 27:01Speaker 10: In a generic sense, there's the WW I mean w
- 27:06Speaker 10: that ESPN is creating some value in their product if
- 27:09Speaker 10: there are these number of things, but that, like you
- 27:10Speaker 10: said that, assume that everybody who subscribed wants those things, right, obviously.
- 27:18Speaker 3: Don't.
- 27:20Speaker 10: Right, They're they're inherently appealing to a very niche audience,
- 27:24Speaker 10: and that's sports fans. There are people who like sports,
- 27:29Speaker 10: there are people who watch sports, but who out there
- 27:34Speaker 10: loves sports enough to shell out thirty dollars a month
- 27:38Speaker 10: for what you're offering on your streaming service.
- 27:42Speaker 2: That's the question.
- 27:45Speaker 10: Right now, I can only like, I can only list
- 27:49Speaker 10: those four things that they have potentially to offer at
- 27:52Speaker 10: that thirty dollars price point, every wwpl LEA, every UFC
- 27:56Speaker 10: pay per view, NFL network and NFL read some.
- 28:01Speaker 8: But here's something that might leave a bad taste in
- 28:03Speaker 8: all your mouths. You know, you could just you know,
- 28:08Speaker 8: pay up front, you know, for for a year, if
- 28:12Speaker 8: you like, just just pay up front for your ESPN
- 28:15Speaker 8: three hundred and sixty bucks. That doesn't sound bad, right,
- 28:20Speaker 8: three hundred and sixty bucks a year for a year
- 28:24Speaker 8: for ESPN Plus.
- 28:27Speaker 10: That's like the third of the price of paying it monthly. Yeah,
- 28:32Speaker 10: or bad value? Not a bad value proposition when you
- 28:35Speaker 10: look at it that way. But that's something that somebody
- 28:39Speaker 10: has three sixty to shell out or.
- 28:42Speaker 8: You can you know, they're signing a five year deal, right,
- 28:46Speaker 8: ESPN Plus can get up to eighteen hundred dollars from
- 28:50Speaker 8: you and that five year deal, that's a rough number
- 28:57Speaker 8: eighteen hundred dollars in hole that how much he is
- 29:00Speaker 8: paying plus could be making from US ww fans in
- 29:03Speaker 8: that five years.
- 29:06Speaker 10: Well, look, I don't want to talk about how much
- 29:08Speaker 10: money I've been giving Google over the last couple of
- 29:10Speaker 10: years between TV.
- 29:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 29:14Speaker 8: I mean it's when you really look at the numbers
- 29:16Speaker 8: like that and bigger, you know, bigger pictures kind of disgusting.
- 29:19Speaker 8: You know, Like, I don't know how much you guys
- 29:24Speaker 8: all spend on your like streaming networks, but like when
- 29:26Speaker 8: you and you're sitting there and you add them up
- 29:28Speaker 8: and then you add up how much you spend months
- 29:30Speaker 8: and the year, it's like holy shit, and you know,
- 29:34Speaker 8: it's like we're gonna go back. We're going back to
- 29:36Speaker 8: like where we might all have to get cable again.
- 29:40Speaker 2: But yeah, that cable Cable is never coming back.
- 29:47Speaker 3: No, it's never.
- 29:48Speaker 10: We have long passed that point of no return. It's
- 29:53Speaker 10: just it's not coming back. Just from this simple content perspective,
- 29:58Speaker 10: and even even if those of us are shelling out
- 30:02Speaker 10: maybe more money now than we ever did with cable,
- 30:06Speaker 10: we are a getting way more content than cable could
- 30:10Speaker 10: ever offer, and we have way more flexibility than cable
- 30:15Speaker 10: can ever afford.
- 30:16Speaker 4: You.
- 30:17Speaker 10: Those two things alone, I think at this point most
- 30:20Speaker 10: people have made the choice that they justify the potential
- 30:24Speaker 10: extra money that some people may be spending or the
- 30:27Speaker 10: comparable money to cable that people are spending. I know
- 30:30Speaker 10: I have, and I am somebody who definitely is probably
- 30:34Speaker 10: spending more money on streaming now than I than I
- 30:37Speaker 10: ever did with cable. But at the same time, I
- 30:41Speaker 10: am the ones paying for the famili's entertainment. You know,
- 30:47Speaker 10: it's not just me that's on my subscriptions. It's me,
- 30:51Speaker 10: my mother, my sister, my niece and her kids. So
- 30:54Speaker 10: you know, everybody's on mine. You know, if it was
- 30:59Speaker 10: just me, I could easily think of probably maybe three
- 31:02Speaker 10: or four streaming services that I would have cut, or
- 31:05Speaker 10: I would have gone to the route that you're on
- 31:07Speaker 10: with Wayne, where you pick them up for a little while,
- 31:10Speaker 10: watch what you want to watch, then drop them.
- 31:13Speaker 3: Well, you might not want to say that publicly. They'll
- 31:15Speaker 3: put an end to that passwords sharing right quick. If
- 31:18Speaker 3: they catch you, they've probably been looking for you.
- 31:24Speaker 8: Anyway, we'll get down to like we'll get and we'll
- 31:28Speaker 8: just split it between the three of us. You know, again,
- 31:35Speaker 8: that's fucking bananas, man. As soon as I saw that,
- 31:37Speaker 8: like I just I just read right to the comments,
- 31:40Speaker 8: right to the comments section. Just everybody just human just pissed.
- 31:46Speaker 11: Yeah, Well, like I said, there's a lot we don't
- 31:49Speaker 11: know yet.
- 31:50Speaker 8: You know, I'm sure there's some backlash that they that
- 31:54Speaker 8: they're going to be dealing with, and they're going to
- 31:56Speaker 8: release something, and something's going to change. I agree Doyle
- 31:59Speaker 8: when I the fire.
- 32:00Speaker 10: Yet now they got five well we got four months
- 32:07Speaker 10: to figure out how they're gonna do this. They're gonna
- 32:11Speaker 10: gauge obviously, they're gonna gage people's reactions. Whether that has
- 32:14Speaker 10: any influence or impact or anything. Obviously it's TBD, but
- 32:18Speaker 10: I'm pretty sure they have, you know, been seeing people's
- 32:23Speaker 10: reaction onlines and seeing it's been overwhelmingly negative. And then
- 32:29Speaker 10: obviously the streaming service is launching well before the WWE
- 32:33Speaker 10: content arrives, so they'll have at least three or four
- 32:37Speaker 10: months of numbers and analytics to look at to see
- 32:42Speaker 10: who's jumping on with this shit, like especially with football season,
- 32:47Speaker 10: because right now between now in the end of the year,
- 32:50Speaker 10: that's gonna be their main selling point property for the
- 32:53Speaker 10: service is whatever is on that streaming service connected with
- 32:58Speaker 10: the NFL, which ends this country is still king.
- 33:03Speaker 2: So if they managed to.
- 33:07Speaker 10: If the NFL and whatever they're offering on ESPN through
- 33:11Speaker 10: the NFL, through the out the NFL season doesn't bring
- 33:14Speaker 10: in strong numbers, they may have to rethink their strategy
- 33:20Speaker 10: before WW even comes on on board with their content. Well,
- 33:26Speaker 10: like I said, it's four months ago. It's a lot
- 33:29Speaker 10: that can change potentially between now and then.
- 33:31Speaker 2: We'll see.
- 33:36Speaker 8: Sweet all right.
- 33:38Speaker 10: All I know is I am prepared to raise the
- 33:41Speaker 10: banners in the sales if need be.
- 33:49Speaker 8: I thought about that so I was like, man, if
- 33:50Speaker 8: they just outpriced me, Like, what would my life be
- 33:53Speaker 8: like without wrestling? Like, what the hell would I do
- 33:55Speaker 8: with my time? I say, I don't know yet.
- 34:02Speaker 10: There was a time where we all sailed the high
- 34:05Speaker 10: seas of the internet.
- 34:08Speaker 2: Uh huh, living that pirate life, Yeah, said, I didn't
- 34:15Speaker 2: want to be that.
- 34:15Speaker 10: Personal more that I wanted to generally support the things
- 34:18Speaker 10: that I love.
- 34:20Speaker 2: But everything has its limit.
- 34:22Speaker 10: Yeah, they keep pushing too hard and they keep reaching
- 34:25Speaker 10: too deep in people's pockets.
- 34:26Speaker 2: I ain't got no problem going back.
- 34:29Speaker 3: Well, yo ho ho, and a bottle of problem exactly.
- 34:33Speaker 8: I remember those days. All right, Man, let's let's get
- 34:38Speaker 8: in this PLA Night one Medleefe Stadium, Night one fifty
- 34:44Speaker 8: three and sixty one. People. I'll tell you what I
- 34:49Speaker 8: think it looked the arena looked pretty cool. I h
- 34:53Speaker 8: I definitely got like fruestimated of forty vibes a little,
- 34:57Speaker 8: just the way the arena is set up with the
- 35:00Speaker 8: being open like that and met Life, so I thought
- 35:04Speaker 8: it looked pretty cool. I think they had uh it
- 35:06Speaker 8: looked like they had better Titan Tron set up than
- 35:08Speaker 8: we did. It looks like there, you know, there's a
- 35:12Speaker 8: couple more around the area.
- 35:14Speaker 3: Yeah, they had a cool stage.
- 35:15Speaker 10: Yeah, isn't a well met Life is newer than the Link.
- 35:20Speaker 2: Right, M right?
- 35:26Speaker 12: I think so yes, I want to say, because yes,
- 35:31Speaker 12: because about it.
- 35:32Speaker 10: Think yeah, I might say the Link was built in
- 35:34Speaker 10: like nineteen ninety six or ninety seven or something like that, late.
- 35:38Speaker 3: Night later than that. Yeah, it was like the early
- 35:41Speaker 3: yachts for the Link.
- 35:44Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, you might be right in.
- 35:47Speaker 3: The in the met Life I think was twenty ten.
- 35:52Speaker 10: Whereabout so I'm not a part Yeah, yeah, met Life
- 35:56Speaker 10: was between two thousand and eight and twenty ten. And yeah,
- 35:59Speaker 10: the Link was late nineties, early two thousand something like that.
- 36:02Speaker 11: But I mean, speaking of Ntlmania, they had they had
- 36:04Speaker 11: significantly more people there for resume, what was it thirty
- 36:09Speaker 11: size than they did.
- 36:12Speaker 3: For Summer Slam. Oh really for what for whatever?
- 36:15Speaker 2: That's worse right as valid?
- 36:18Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 36:19Speaker 3: Yeah, they had uh around seventy thousand.
- 36:24Speaker 10: Yeah, there were definitely significant portions of uh this stadium
- 36:29Speaker 10: that were taped off, yes, m m, and not as
- 36:35Speaker 10: they did not do as good a job of concealing
- 36:37Speaker 10: it as they happened the past.
- 36:41Speaker 3: That's true.
- 36:43Speaker 8: Yeah, Uh, well, Drey, we'll take their ends.
- 36:50Speaker 10: Yeah, we might as well go ahead and jump on
- 36:52Speaker 10: into the first match kicking off the show, which was
- 36:56Speaker 10: Roman Reigns and Jay Usso facing Bron Broke.
- 37:01Speaker 12: Before that, before that, it is Cardi B.
- 37:05Speaker 3: A native English speaker.
- 37:07Speaker 2: A native English speaker, Yes, I like, what the.
- 37:13Speaker 3: Hell was she doing there? What was she talking about?
- 37:16Speaker 1: Like?
- 37:17Speaker 3: Who decided to her out?
- 37:19Speaker 11: There was a good idea, like did she bring anything
- 37:23Speaker 11: at all to the to the weekend?
- 37:26Speaker 10: No name, just just a name, just that. And WW
- 37:33Speaker 10: really needs to get away from that. They need to
- 37:35Speaker 10: get away from having names just for the sake of
- 37:37Speaker 10: having a name.
- 37:40Speaker 12: Like yeah, I gets the logic of having a name,
- 37:43Speaker 12: but why not someone.
- 37:44Speaker 3: That could contribute in some form or fashion.
- 37:47Speaker 12: I don't think Cardi B brought anything whatsoever.
- 37:50Speaker 3: To the table.
- 37:52Speaker 12: Nothing and then we didn't see it really again at all.
- 37:54Speaker 13: The host of Somerslam, right, they said, months and months
- 37:57Speaker 13: Cardi beats the house Hardy means the house, and then
- 38:00Speaker 13: like two three weeks before that, they didn't say it
- 38:02Speaker 13: didn't work about her, and then she just came.
- 38:04Speaker 11: Out screamed and yell a little bit, and then that
- 38:07Speaker 11: was about it.
- 38:09Speaker 8: Yet that.
- 38:13Speaker 10: Nothing just and for the sake of having a name.
- 38:16Speaker 10: And like I said, they they, I think they really
- 38:18Speaker 10: do need to reevaluate some of these celebrities that they
- 38:23Speaker 10: bring in because some of them, like you said, are
- 38:25Speaker 10: not bringing anything noteworthy to the table. I don't know
- 38:29Speaker 10: that Cardi b brought anything to the WWE or any
- 38:33Speaker 10: eyes to WWE that weren't already gonna tune in. All
- 38:37Speaker 10: we got from her one commercial that air for a
- 38:40Speaker 10: few months, a little bit of back and forth on
- 38:43Speaker 10: Twitter between her and a few of the wrestlers, and
- 38:46Speaker 10: then she shows up Night one, clearly reads from a
- 38:49Speaker 10: teller prompter and then leaves and we never see her again.
- 38:55Speaker 10: Didn't even show up at all for Night too.
- 38:58Speaker 11: Without getting to her head on myself, I have very
- 39:00Speaker 11: little good things to say about Roll, but you know
- 39:03Speaker 11: what he at least looked like he gave a shit,
- 39:06Speaker 11: he was trying the like he I think at least
- 39:12Speaker 11: extributed in some form or fast into the program in
- 39:15Speaker 11: a way Hi Cardi B did not.
- 39:17Speaker 10: Yeah, I'm sorry Vallid, because he's the type of celebrity
- 39:21Speaker 10: that they should be embracing and bringing into their product,
- 39:25Speaker 10: people who are genuine fans, who are genuine and genuinely
- 39:28Speaker 10: into it. Not every person has to wrestle a match
- 39:31Speaker 10: or go as far as he did, but at least
- 39:33Speaker 10: people who were genuine wrestling fans and understand the crowd,
- 39:38Speaker 10: the people, the environment, not somebody who's just there just
- 39:42Speaker 10: because either WWE is popular now and they want to
- 39:46Speaker 10: attach their name to the product and loo and you know,
- 39:49Speaker 10: bleach a little bit off of w w a's fame
- 39:51Speaker 10: or give the rubbed WWWE or whatever it is. But
- 39:56Speaker 10: there are enough fans out there, are enough celebrities out
- 39:59Speaker 10: there who are genuine wrestling fans that they could bring
- 40:03Speaker 10: in that could mean something. I mean, hell, we just
- 40:06Speaker 10: had raw this past Monday in Brooklyn and you had
- 40:12Speaker 10: genuine wrestling fans who were there, celebrities. Methan Man was there.
- 40:18Speaker 10: He's a he's a genuine wrestling fan. You can look
- 40:21Speaker 10: it up. He's been at multiple events in the past.
- 40:25Speaker 10: You know, Joe Budden, I'm assuming he was a He's
- 40:27Speaker 10: a genuine wrestling fan. People like Metro Booming, like, there
- 40:30Speaker 10: are other celebrities you can reach out to and bring
- 40:35Speaker 10: in if you want to, you know, tie that you know,
- 40:39Speaker 10: WW product with celebrity fame and that and such. You
- 40:45Speaker 10: don't have to go reaching out for somebody who probably
- 40:47Speaker 10: doesn't give two ships about it, only there because y'all
- 40:50Speaker 10: cut them a check.
- 40:53Speaker 3: You think they have learned from the.
- 40:59Speaker 11: Days right when like some of the some of the
- 41:01Speaker 11: people came and like were really into it and they
- 41:03Speaker 11: were fun, and some of the.
- 41:05Speaker 3: People couldn't have given less a fuck. Yeah, I knows.
- 41:08Speaker 11: We're fucking disassed, and you think they would have, you know,
- 41:13Speaker 11: at some point, and like Henny, only get people that
- 41:16Speaker 11: are actually gonna connect to this and maybe uh maybe come.
- 41:20Speaker 3: To some rehearsals and maybe you.
- 41:22Speaker 11: Know, it's just somebody was just going to cot there
- 41:24Speaker 11: and squawk and screaming.
- 41:26Speaker 3: You know, I don't know. Anyway, let's talk about some nestlings.
- 41:32Speaker 8: I know how to do this one, this long run
- 41:34Speaker 8: Cardivy get it.
- 41:38Speaker 10: I mean maybe maybe maybe she misled them. Maybe they're
- 41:43Speaker 10: in the initial conversations, maybe she was you know, piped
- 41:47Speaker 10: up for maybe she is a wrestling fan or or
- 41:49Speaker 10: was at some point, and then as things progressed, maybe
- 41:53Speaker 10: they just, I don't know, somehow didn't pan out the
- 41:56Speaker 10: way they thought. Who knows. But anyway, back to the
- 42:02Speaker 10: actual wrestling first match, Roman Range jay Uso facing bron
- 42:07Speaker 10: Breaker and Bronson Reid coming out with Romans Jordan's still
- 42:17Speaker 10: yeah the shoe lafalla. Yeah, I'm glad they held on
- 42:20Speaker 10: to that, at least for Summer Slam.
- 42:23Speaker 2: I'm glad they continued that.
- 42:27Speaker 10: Obviously, the match itself took a while to get going,
- 42:31Speaker 10: but once it actually did get going, Yeah, But once
- 42:35Speaker 10: it did get going, it was a good match. I think,
- 42:39Speaker 10: you know, they were definitely out there brawling, beating the
- 42:43Speaker 10: ship out of each other. Again, I think Bronson Reid
- 42:47Speaker 10: and bron Breaker, I really think those two could have
- 42:53Speaker 10: gone on just by themselves and Paul Hayman and really
- 42:56Speaker 10: been a force and a strong team to be reckoned
- 42:59Speaker 10: with those two as a faction, both individually.
- 43:02Speaker 2: And collectively as a team.
- 43:04Speaker 10: Because they didn't show any weaknesses and no flaws in
- 43:08Speaker 10: this match. Granted they did take the l you know,
- 43:10Speaker 10: and I'm glad that Jay was the one to actually
- 43:13Speaker 10: get the pen, which she got on what Bronson Reid right, Yeah,
- 43:18Speaker 10: he did, Bronton reed. And there were other elements that
- 43:21Speaker 10: were interesting, you know, like Roman I think a couple
- 43:23Speaker 10: of points in this match taking making the sacrifice for
- 43:27Speaker 10: j you know, most notably at the end of the
- 43:30Speaker 10: match where he took the spear from bron Breaker. That
- 43:34Speaker 10: was an attempt initially meant for Jay and he took it.
- 43:37Speaker 10: So is this Roman leaning leaning a little bit more
- 43:40Speaker 10: in the babyface department or was he just doing it
- 43:43Speaker 10: just for family?
- 43:43Speaker 2: Who knows?
- 43:45Speaker 10: But overall, good match, very very good match. Good way
- 43:49Speaker 10: to kick off the show. Where you at on this one.
- 43:52Speaker 8: Wayne, dude? I agree, great match to kick off the show.
- 43:57Speaker 8: I mean I asked, I think maybe it was a
- 43:59Speaker 8: little to lengthy. The match was like twenty one minutes. Uh,
- 44:03Speaker 8: but you could I guess you could really chalk that
- 44:05Speaker 8: all up to entrance theme. I mean, the entrance is
- 44:09Speaker 8: just long for all these papers for both nights.
- 44:14Speaker 14: It entrances and video packages just filled this fucking this.
- 44:21Speaker 14: Uh you know, it was just a filling Uh. I
- 44:26Speaker 14: did like how Jay and and Roman the gear kind
- 44:29Speaker 14: of matched. You know, they look good with the black
- 44:31Speaker 14: and white. I was dying when I heard the shoe
- 44:37Speaker 14: lafaala reference.
- 44:40Speaker 8: I was I was dying, man, Doyle, you and you
- 44:44Speaker 8: and the discord had me crying.
- 44:45Speaker 14: Man, just with the shoelafalla.
- 44:51Speaker 8: I didn't know that roman rains were like a size
- 44:54Speaker 8: fifteen dude, Like I wear a size thirteen, and I
- 44:57Speaker 8: thought I had big ass feed. I was like, holy shit, fifteen,
- 45:00Speaker 8: things were huge around his neck. Holy crap. So uh yeah,
- 45:08Speaker 8: and he also got his zass beat again, and he
- 45:11Speaker 8: got this week and he got his shoes taken again.
- 45:15Speaker 8: Poor poor Roman. He just can't keep hold of his shoes. Man,
- 45:18Speaker 8: He's don't come out and flip flops next week, you know.
- 45:23Speaker 8: Uh yeah. I enjoyed this match, of course. You know,
- 45:29Speaker 8: I think one of the biggest issues with Jay Usso
- 45:32Speaker 8: and his entrances. He comes out, he eats, and he
- 45:35Speaker 8: gets kind of gets kind of gassed man before the
- 45:38Speaker 8: match starts, and uh, you know, and then during the
- 45:42Speaker 8: middle of the match they start yeating again. In the
- 45:45Speaker 8: middle of the match, I just come on, man, I'm good.
- 45:49Speaker 8: I don't need to be eating during the match. Heke's
- 45:50Speaker 8: match going. I get it. Maybe it's set them up
- 45:53Speaker 8: for him to do a top rope spot, you know.
- 46:00Speaker 8: I I I was really thinking that, you know, Bronson
- 46:06Speaker 8: reading bron Breaker would have benefited greatly going over. But
- 46:09Speaker 8: then how the rest of the night played out. I
- 46:11Speaker 8: kind of was okay with it and understood. I mean,
- 46:15Speaker 8: it would have been a big win for them, but
- 46:17Speaker 8: to beat like two former world champions clean that would
- 46:20Speaker 8: have been that was that would have been tough. But
- 46:22Speaker 8: you know, it was a very good match. You know,
- 46:27Speaker 8: it shows that you know, bron And and Bronson can
- 46:31Speaker 8: you know, you know, dancing the ring with Roman and
- 46:35Speaker 8: j two former world champions without seth rons in the picture,
- 46:39Speaker 8: and and put on a decent match. So I don't
- 46:42Speaker 8: think this feud with these four are done after this week?
- 46:47Speaker 8: Uh seen Roman get beat again, his ass beat again.
- 46:50Speaker 8: So I don't know where we're going with this?
- 46:55Speaker 3: Are we are? We?
- 46:57Speaker 8: Are we adding another oose?
- 46:59Speaker 4: Uh?
- 47:00Speaker 8: I don't know. Yeah, I don't know where we're going
- 47:01Speaker 8: with this, but.
- 47:05Speaker 11: Doell well, yeah, this was a fun, fun way to
- 47:10Speaker 11: start to show.
- 47:11Speaker 12: Drey, you said that man, did this start flow?
- 47:15Speaker 11: But that's okay For the first match, I just kind
- 47:20Speaker 11: of yeah, I waiting, like you said, I thought the
- 47:23Speaker 11: Heels should have gone over here, and it looks like
- 47:26Speaker 11: we're right.
- 47:27Speaker 3: It looks like they wrote there was a little bit
- 47:29Speaker 3: of that.
- 47:30Speaker 11: They're writing Roman off of TV for a couple of weeks.
- 47:32Speaker 3: With that, you know what did he take? Two? Three?
- 47:35Speaker 11: Tsunamis on raw? So it's saying, well, I put the
- 47:39Speaker 11: why put Roman.
- 47:40Speaker 12: Over if he's just gonna disappear again?
- 47:42Speaker 11: Yeah, I thought that the heels really would have benefited,
- 47:48Speaker 11: but you know what do I know?
- 47:51Speaker 3: But yeah, it was a fun match. You got to
- 47:53Speaker 3: see some things the guys don't usually do.
- 47:56Speaker 15: You know.
- 47:56Speaker 11: Roman had that big sand over the top rope and
- 48:01Speaker 11: kind kind of overshot.
- 48:04Speaker 3: And nugging. But yeah, I mean all all four of these.
- 48:09Speaker 11: Guys are incredibly athletic, so it's cool to see them
- 48:12Speaker 11: kind of bouncing around.
- 48:14Speaker 3: Off each other. Yeah.
- 48:17Speaker 11: I could have done it at the mid mid match
- 48:20Speaker 11: eat session as well, but that's just me.
- 48:24Speaker 3: I'm a little uh, I'm a little eat it.
- 48:25Speaker 11: Out, So we say, uh we Yeah, fun match for sure,
- 48:29Speaker 11: A good way to say Saint John's but It is
- 48:33Speaker 11: strange seeing Roman during the day.
- 48:35Speaker 12: I feel like it's been.
- 48:36Speaker 11: A long, long long time since we saw Roman in
- 48:41Speaker 11: the sunlight.
- 48:44Speaker 3: But yeah, good start.
- 48:47Speaker 10: Yeah, I mean, granted, I understand, I get watch. Some
- 48:55Speaker 10: people think that Bronson Reid and Brown Breakers should have
- 48:58Speaker 10: gone over because you know, they're the up and coming guys.
- 49:00Speaker 10: They're the ones that need to look strong, but up
- 49:04Speaker 10: against people the caliber of Jay and Roman, it makes
- 49:09Speaker 10: sense that they took the l and I think they
- 49:11Speaker 10: protected Roman and bron Breaker, who were, you know, the
- 49:15Speaker 10: probably the two highest profile among the ones in this match.
- 49:20Speaker 10: By having Jay get the pin, he looked strong over
- 49:24Speaker 10: Bronson Reid, who was the one that could you know,
- 49:28Speaker 10: take the pin with little with minimal impact to him.
- 49:32Speaker 10: You know, Roman can't take the pin after what just
- 49:34Speaker 10: happened to him and getting the shoes snatched. And on
- 49:37Speaker 10: the subject of the shoe snatching thing, I hope they
- 49:39Speaker 10: don't run with that too hard.
- 49:42Speaker 2: It was a cool moment when it happened. It got
- 49:44Speaker 2: everybody talking.
- 49:46Speaker 10: I don't think they needed to do it again on
- 49:48Speaker 10: Monday Night Raw and that does that shouldn't become a
- 49:51Speaker 10: thing that I don't know if it's gonna work as
- 49:53Speaker 10: a thing if they try to turn that into part
- 49:56Speaker 10: of Bronson Reed's gimmick, like he beats people glasses and
- 49:59Speaker 10: takes their shoes. Maybe it can work a little bit
- 50:02Speaker 10: if he does it to everybody, But everybody ain't out
- 50:05Speaker 10: there wrestling in shoes. Some people out there in their
- 50:08Speaker 10: wrestling boots and gears. He's gonna snatch their ship too.
- 50:13Speaker 10: Maybe it can work to an extent, but I think
- 50:16Speaker 10: it'll only work if y'all are planning on pushing him
- 50:19Speaker 10: up the card.
- 50:22Speaker 11: I wonder what would happened if he wrestled Kevin Vanreks,
- 50:24Speaker 11: who doesn't wear shoes at all, or riddle or wrestle.
- 50:31Speaker 10: But I mean, like, if he's just gonna beat people's asses,
- 50:34Speaker 10: take their shoes, and then lose matches, you know it's
- 50:39Speaker 10: gonna cancel.
- 50:40Speaker 2: They're gonna cancel each other out.
- 50:43Speaker 3: And think it's probably a Roman specific saying.
- 50:47Speaker 2: I'm hoping so well.
- 50:50Speaker 12: I Hammond called them the tribal thief.
- 50:54Speaker 2: Yeah, see that's the thing. I don't know.
- 50:57Speaker 10: If it's a Roman specific thing, then I think it
- 51:00Speaker 10: should stop this what this Monday? He can't just keep
- 51:05Speaker 10: stilling Roman shoes all the time. Eventually, that's gonna start
- 51:08Speaker 10: to impact Roman, especially.
- 51:12Speaker 2: Right. He can't just keep losing his damn shoes.
- 51:15Speaker 3: He can't keep rolling.
- 51:18Speaker 10: Yeah, and if they're gonna keep it as part of
- 51:21Speaker 10: Bronson Reed's thing, then it needs to be something he
- 51:23Speaker 10: does to everybody.
- 51:25Speaker 2: And I don't know that he can do it to everybody.
- 51:29Speaker 10: Everybody in out there in shoes, some people are It's
- 51:31Speaker 10: a lot harder trying to take somebody's wrestling boots off
- 51:33Speaker 10: than it is Jordan's. If it were up to me,
- 51:38Speaker 10: I think this past Monday and Night on Row should
- 51:40Speaker 10: be the last time he does it and just leave
- 51:42Speaker 10: it there or another way to make the feud interesting.
- 51:52Speaker 10: Any other thoughts on this initial match, No, I.
- 51:56Speaker 8: Will mention though I don't know if you guys saw
- 51:58Speaker 8: in the crowd. We know longer just have a green
- 52:01Speaker 8: shirt guy. We also have a yellow shirt guy. Now
- 52:05Speaker 8: what Yeah, there was a guy with a yellow smiley
- 52:09Speaker 8: face shirt in the front row as well, and then
- 52:12Speaker 8: I think it was night two, there was another green
- 52:15Speaker 8: shirt guy behind him, so we had two green shirt
- 52:18Speaker 8: guys and a yellow shirt guy. What is going on?
- 52:24Speaker 2: Multi verses tearing apart at the.
- 52:26Speaker 8: Scenes, dude, give it like three years, it'll be like
- 52:30Speaker 8: just the whole front row will be just smiley face shirts,
- 52:33Speaker 8: different colors.
- 52:36Speaker 2: Green Shirt Guy has found his reverse flash.
- 52:39Speaker 10: Yeah, apparently those two actually came together. Apparently they know
- 52:49Speaker 10: each other and are like friends, and they actually came
- 52:51Speaker 10: to the Poe together. I think somebody mentioned it in
- 52:53Speaker 10: the discord.
- 52:54Speaker 2: I think.
- 52:56Speaker 10: I think they posted a tweet or something from the
- 52:58Speaker 10: yellow Shirt Guy because somebody called out the fact that
- 53:02Speaker 10: those two were together, or that the green Shirt Guy
- 53:07Speaker 10: was like giving the side out of yellow Shirt Guy,
- 53:09Speaker 10: and I think somebody had tweeted that. I think yellow
- 53:11Speaker 10: Shirt Guy responded and said, dude, we literally came here together.
- 53:20Speaker 3: That's funny.
- 53:24Speaker 10: So moving on to the next match match too, with
- 53:29Speaker 10: Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss facing Judgment Days Raquel Rodriguez
- 53:35Speaker 10: and Rock Sanne Perez for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship,
- 53:42Speaker 10: a match that went on for just over thirteen minutes
- 53:47Speaker 10: and saw Charlotte the team of Charlotte Flair and Alexa
- 53:50Speaker 10: Blizz come out on top to become our new ww
- 53:54Speaker 10: Women's Tag Team Champions. And they matched that, albeit predictable,
- 54:02Speaker 10: was still decent, good enough and I think got the
- 54:06Speaker 10: appropriate amount of time. I don't think it needed to
- 54:10Speaker 10: be any longer. I don't think it needed to be
- 54:12Speaker 10: any shorter. I think it was good. They went out there,
- 54:15Speaker 10: did what they had to do, put on a good match,
- 54:18Speaker 10: got to the finish, gave us a little bit of
- 54:21Speaker 10: suspense in it with uh was it? I think Alexa
- 54:25Speaker 10: had hit Charlotte at one point during the match, and
- 54:28Speaker 10: then we thought Charlotte was gonna get her licked back,
- 54:31Speaker 10: and then just for Charlotte to take out Raquel, allowing
- 54:36Speaker 10: Alexa list to get the pen.
- 54:39Speaker 2: There's a good match.
- 54:42Speaker 10: Nothing really, you know, wow, you know, super memorable about it,
- 54:50Speaker 10: other than maybe that finish. But it's a good match
- 54:54Speaker 10: and I think the right team won. What he thoughts
- 54:58Speaker 10: on this one, Doyle, I liked.
- 55:01Speaker 3: It a little more than you did. I really am enjoying.
- 55:06Speaker 11: Uh, Sarlon and Alecta as one of those like you know,
- 55:10Speaker 11: friend of me tag teams, you know, which, of course,
- 55:13Speaker 11: it's only a matter of time before somebody turns on somebody,
- 55:15Speaker 11: but you know that'll be fun to see whatever it happens.
- 55:18Speaker 3: Uh, Yeah, I'd like there. They're back and forth kind
- 55:23Speaker 3: of interplay. Uh, you know, Alexa accidentally hitting Charlotte and
- 55:28Speaker 3: then we'll you know, Charlotte ends up saving or at
- 55:31Speaker 3: the end.
- 55:31Speaker 12: Uh So, yeah, it was a lot of fun and I.
- 55:33Speaker 11: Uh, you know, rock Stan's fucking great. She's you know,
- 55:37Speaker 11: a future main eventor probably for the rest of the decade.
- 55:42Speaker 12: And I was I didn't like Rockel.
- 55:43Speaker 3: Rockel is doing some of the best work of her career.
- 55:46Speaker 11: I think during this run the Judgment Day, I've been
- 55:50Speaker 11: hoping for her to get something more interesting to do
- 55:52Speaker 11: than she had been.
- 55:53Speaker 3: For her weird in things she had to had her
- 55:57Speaker 3: out for a while.
- 56:00Speaker 11: I'm glad she gave up the flexing, the back routine thing.
- 56:04Speaker 3: That just what I'm working for. But yeah, I've always
- 56:07Speaker 3: liked her. I don't know why.
- 56:10Speaker 11: I don't know that she does anything staccat really well
- 56:12Speaker 11: or anything, but.
- 56:13Speaker 3: I just something about it I've always liked. So I'm
- 56:16Speaker 3: glad to see.
- 56:16Speaker 11: Her doing well. I think she's doing the best work
- 56:19Speaker 11: of her career. So yeah, I thought it was been
- 56:22Speaker 11: a lot of fun. And yeah, of course Charlotte and
- 56:26Speaker 11: Alexa winning is the right call, I think, Yeah, who knows,
- 56:31Speaker 11: what do you ever go? Ongoing Judgment Day saga will
- 56:35Speaker 11: continue and so well, Charlotte and Alexi's uh, you know,
- 56:41Speaker 11: will they won't They come to blows with each other
- 56:44Speaker 11: kind of relationship.
- 56:46Speaker 3: So yeah, I'm excited to see work us.
- 56:49Speaker 10: I mean yet, don't don't get me wrong, I like
- 56:52Speaker 10: the pairing of Charlotte at Alexa. Like I said in
- 56:55Speaker 10: in our preview episode, this is the most likable that
- 56:59Speaker 10: I think Charlotte Flair has been in a long time, right,
- 57:05Speaker 10: she like between this and some of the more new
- 57:09Speaker 10: vulnerability that she's shown in you know, certain interviews and
- 57:13Speaker 10: stuff like that that's bound its way online, it's made
- 57:17Speaker 10: her a much more likable and a much more relatable person.
- 57:21Speaker 10: So yeah, that, Yeah, that, and Lexa Bliss just has
- 57:27Speaker 10: personality and charisma for days like effortless. So it makes
- 57:32Speaker 10: for an excellent pairing between those two. Although I will
- 57:35Speaker 10: say this past Monday on RAW, when they were out
- 57:38Speaker 10: in the ring together, it had to cut a promo
- 57:40Speaker 10: live in front of the crowd. Did not quite come
- 57:43Speaker 10: off as well as some of their backs give me,
- 57:46Speaker 10: some of their backstage segments have gone off, you know,
- 57:51Speaker 10: but again, they haven't had to cut too many promos
- 57:53Speaker 10: in front of everybody together, so maybe that will get
- 57:57Speaker 10: better over time as they you know, this dynamic develops further.
- 58:02Speaker 10: But that's like a minor nit pick. Either way, I'm
- 58:06Speaker 10: still happy with both of them and where they're at
- 58:08Speaker 10: with it.
- 58:10Speaker 8: What you had on this mash, Wayne, you know what
- 58:14Speaker 8: this is like another tag team pairing that you know,
- 58:17Speaker 8: it's very odd, but I'm starting to like it, and
- 58:20Speaker 8: I think it's getting Charlotte over, you know, with the
- 58:24Speaker 8: help of Alexa b Lists, you know, with her popularity.
- 58:29Speaker 8: It reminds me a lot of Orton and Matt Riddle.
- 58:34Speaker 8: I get a lot of vibes like that, Like this
- 58:36Speaker 8: tag team. We don't think it's gonna work together, and
- 58:38Speaker 8: then they kind of vibe well and the crowd likes it,
- 58:41Speaker 8: and you know, it benefits both of them, and it
- 58:45Speaker 8: definitely spices up the the women's tag division. I mean,
- 58:49Speaker 8: right now, it's great. You're keeping these two out of
- 58:52Speaker 8: the main event and we're gonna help elevate the women's
- 58:55Speaker 8: tag titles. I just hope none of them get injured,
- 58:57Speaker 8: because you know, that's just the curse with these types. Yeah, dude,
- 59:02Speaker 8: like the curse. I'm just I was like, fingers crossed.
- 59:05Speaker 8: Nobody gets hurt, you know, these the two really good
- 59:09Speaker 8: wrestlers to have these, you know, to be in the
- 59:12Speaker 8: hands of I didn't think that it would help Charlotte
- 59:17Speaker 8: get over. I mean, she just seemed like naturally an
- 59:20Speaker 8: unlikable character, you know, like no matter what, she was
- 59:24Speaker 8: just gonna get booed. But it seems more and more
- 59:26Speaker 8: she's getting cheered, uh, And I think that's awesome. The
- 59:32Speaker 8: I agree, Dre. The false finish at the end was
- 59:34Speaker 8: pretty good, you know, because kind of curious if things
- 59:40Speaker 8: would have fallen apart if they didn't get the titles,
- 59:42Speaker 8: you know, on that night with you know, Alexa and
- 59:48Speaker 8: Charlotte accidentally knocking each other out or something like that.
- 59:53Speaker 8: You know, I definitely thought for sure. And the way
- 59:56Speaker 8: they panned the camera was great work too, making them
- 59:58Speaker 8: like Charlotte was gonna big booter or something, and you know,
- 1:00:02Speaker 8: you couldn't quite make out what she said, and you
- 1:00:05Speaker 8: know the fact that she kind of like saved her ass,
- 1:00:07Speaker 8: you know, and made that pin and we got the
- 1:00:10Speaker 8: sister Abigail's ended out of all finishers. So I don't
- 1:00:16Speaker 8: I don't know where they go from here, who who's
- 1:00:18Speaker 8: next on the tag team chopping block, But now we
- 1:00:23Speaker 8: know with these tag titles off of Judgment Day. If
- 1:00:28Speaker 8: liv comes back anytime soon, I could definitely see an
- 1:00:31Speaker 8: issue there, like, you know, where's the tag titles? Oh?
- 1:00:37Speaker 8: We lost them? Who lost them? Well, technically I didn't
- 1:00:42Speaker 8: get pinned, you know, I don't know, so we're gonna
- 1:00:45Speaker 8: get I also feel like there's gonna be some waves,
- 1:00:49Speaker 8: you know, from that too, So Judgment Day is gonna
- 1:00:51Speaker 8: feel that. But overall, good match.
- 1:00:58Speaker 10: Yeah, potentially a Swiman Live gives a shit about those
- 1:01:01Speaker 10: tag team titles when she comes back, right.
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, who knows. When she comes back, this
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: story might be you know, long time. It might be
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: good for her.
- 1:01:14Speaker 11: Actually, you know, she can come back to a totally
- 1:01:16Speaker 11: fresh start.
- 1:01:17Speaker 13: You know.
- 1:01:20Speaker 10: And I will say I do like that Alexa Bliss
- 1:01:23Speaker 10: has been the one getting the pin or getting the
- 1:01:25Speaker 10: win for the team in the last couple of matches
- 1:01:27Speaker 10: because quite frankly, she's probably got one of the best
- 1:01:31Speaker 10: finishers in the women's division with that sister Abigail. And
- 1:01:35Speaker 10: it's it's not like the move is particularly particularly devastating
- 1:01:39Speaker 10: or anything. I mean, it does, from an impact standpoint,
- 1:01:42Speaker 10: look pretty tough, but it's more so it's the setup
- 1:01:46Speaker 10: it's the fact that she can sit there and be
- 1:01:48Speaker 10: smiling or whatever and just look as pree as you
- 1:01:50Speaker 10: want to. But the second she gets that move, her
- 1:01:53Speaker 10: whole face changes, and I think that's what sells the
- 1:01:56Speaker 10: move more than anything.
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: She gets that.
- 1:02:00Speaker 11: Yeah, a lot of finishers, a lot of finishes, you
- 1:02:02Speaker 11: can't see the person doing its face well clearly like
- 1:02:08Speaker 11: you can with hers.
- 1:02:09Speaker 10: Right, or they're doing something else like being overly emotional
- 1:02:13Speaker 10: about their finish or whatever. Like if it's somebody like
- 1:02:15Speaker 10: Cody who's acting like this is the heaviest person he's
- 1:02:18Speaker 10: ever lifted up by the back of their neck before
- 1:02:20Speaker 10: he hits his crossroads or whatever, you know, stuff like that.
- 1:02:24Speaker 10: But a finisher that just has a good setup before
- 1:02:27Speaker 10: the impact. Been a while since we've had one of those.
- 1:02:29Speaker 10: And yeah, Alexis got it again without being over the top.
- 1:02:34Speaker 10: Is just she gets that evil, demonic look on her
- 1:02:36Speaker 10: face and then everybody rides to their feet and then.
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: Boom, she just hits it.
- 1:02:42Speaker 10: And I think it was pretty dope how they pulled
- 1:02:44Speaker 10: how she did it this Monday too, catching who they.
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: Have to match with Monday.
- 1:02:53Speaker 10: Damn mm, they didn't have because they didn't have a
- 1:02:58Speaker 10: rematch with Rocksanne and rock Yo this past my day.
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: Who was it that they wrestled.
- 1:03:04Speaker 10: I don't know either here nor there, but I remember
- 1:03:06Speaker 10: she caught the person coming off. Yeah, I just remember
- 1:03:09Speaker 10: she caught the person coming off the rope and the
- 1:03:11Speaker 10: way they said it and the way the shot was,
- 1:03:13Speaker 10: you know, framed.
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: You didn't see Alexa.
- 1:03:16Speaker 10: You just saw that person hit the rope and as
- 1:03:17Speaker 10: soon as they came off the rope, boom, Alexa just
- 1:03:20Speaker 10: caught him right in a Sister Abigail. So it's a
- 1:03:22Speaker 10: dope finisher. Just wanted to put that out there before
- 1:03:29Speaker 10: we talk about this next match, which was totally meaningless.
- 1:03:34Speaker 3: I don't.
- 1:03:34Speaker 8: Let's hear about it. Huh, let's hear about it.
- 1:03:41Speaker 10: Yeah, Sammy's Ain versus Carrying Cross a singles match where
- 1:03:48Speaker 10: the stipulation was had carrying across one Sammy z Ain
- 1:03:53Speaker 10: would have to admit that Cross was right about Sammy,
- 1:03:57Speaker 10: that Sammy is not a good person. In other words,
- 1:04:02Speaker 10: if Cross won, Sammy would just have to admit the
- 1:04:05Speaker 10: fucking obvious that everybody with a brain should already know.
- 1:04:09Speaker 10: But if Sammy's Ain won, then Carrying Cross would have
- 1:04:13Speaker 10: to admit that he was in fact wrong about Sammy's
- 1:04:16Speaker 10: ain and that Sammy's ain is in fact a good person,
- 1:04:20Speaker 10: which is a bold faced goddamn lie. And much to
- 1:04:28Speaker 10: my disappointment, Sammy's ain won this match, leaving carrying Cross
- 1:04:33Speaker 10: in the ring looking up with him at him.
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: We didn't even get the admission.
- 1:04:42Speaker 10: Yes, when the match ended, Sammy's a just looked back
- 1:04:45Speaker 10: at him and just said we're done.
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: I'm done, and look.
- 1:04:52Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, okay, it's like we didn't get the admission there.
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: They weren't.
- 1:04:57Speaker 10: Neither him nor Scarlett were on Raw this as Monday.
- 1:05:00Speaker 10: Apparently their contracts are set to expire this weekend, according
- 1:05:05Speaker 10: to you know, various outlets, and they.
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: Have not been offered.
- 1:05:12Speaker 10: Yeah, I mean just now, Yeah, they want to think
- 1:05:19Speaker 10: right as things stands, as of what we know now,
- 1:05:22Speaker 10: which yeah, in light of this weekend, we know not
- 1:05:24Speaker 10: to trust a gaddamn thing out of WW but as
- 1:05:27Speaker 10: things the way things stand now, as we know it,
- 1:05:30Speaker 10: their contracts are set to inspire this weekend. They have
- 1:05:33Speaker 10: not been offered new contracts. We did not get Cross
- 1:05:37Speaker 10: or Scarlet on Raw this past Monday. There was no
- 1:05:41Speaker 10: acknowledgement that Sammy was right or anything. It, the match happened,
- 1:05:48Speaker 10: and there's been zero payoff to this storyline. So the
- 1:05:57Speaker 10: funck was the point of this ship?
- 1:06:01Speaker 12: Oh yeah, I mean I couldn't agree with you more.
- 1:06:04Speaker 8: Yeah, me too. We're all on the same page here.
- 1:06:09Speaker 8: You know, what was the purpose of this match if
- 1:06:12Speaker 8: we didn't even get the payoff? And and then later
- 1:06:14Speaker 8: finding out that like all this hard work was kind
- 1:06:18Speaker 8: of like I don't know, for this build for carrying Cross.
- 1:06:22Speaker 8: You know, it seemed like he was slowly getting over
- 1:06:25Speaker 8: and he he was beating Sammy's ass every week on
- 1:06:28Speaker 8: on Raw. Like you know, he may have lost the battle,
- 1:06:31Speaker 8: but I think he's the one who won the war
- 1:06:34Speaker 8: at the end.
- 1:06:35Speaker 12: H But.
- 1:06:38Speaker 8: Now they apparently his contracts up and he's done, like
- 1:06:41Speaker 8: just like that, Like I thought. I thought he resigned
- 1:06:44Speaker 8: to be honest a while ago when he was having issues,
- 1:06:49Speaker 8: but I guess that was only for a year or temporary.
- 1:06:52Speaker 8: Like the time just flew that quickly, I guess. I mean,
- 1:07:00Speaker 8: we got the you know, Scarlet would toss across the
- 1:07:03Speaker 8: pipe and here's Sammy's ain was able to avoid it
- 1:07:07Speaker 8: and hit the Blue Thunderbomb, which, by the way, blue
- 1:07:09Speaker 8: Thunderbomb I think should be his finisher. I always thought
- 1:07:14Speaker 8: it was such a cool move for him. He just
- 1:07:15Speaker 8: never makes a pin with it.
- 1:07:17Speaker 10: Uh, But you know, I think he's too small for
- 1:07:21Speaker 10: that to be his finisher.
- 1:07:23Speaker 8: I mean I was surprised he got carrying a cross
- 1:07:25Speaker 8: blue thunderbomb.
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: Yeah. That's the thing.
- 1:07:29Speaker 10: Like the fact that he's even pulling this off on
- 1:07:31Speaker 10: people much larger than him is already like, Okay, he's
- 1:07:37Speaker 10: got some you know, some sleeper power you know, and
- 1:07:40Speaker 10: stuff like that. But he doesn' always hit everything clean,
- 1:07:43Speaker 10: Like what was it the what's the the ship he
- 1:07:48Speaker 10: does where he swo plexes him into the into the turnbuckle,
- 1:07:50Speaker 10: the bucklet bomb.
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: Like that ship he damned?
- 1:07:55Speaker 10: Yeah, but that thing right there was a botch, like
- 1:07:57Speaker 10: he damned the put cross on his neck and they did.
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: They weren't close enough to the turn buckle for it
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: to happen. So he does he does.
- 1:08:07Speaker 16: Personally, Yeah, I mean that he went to the regular
- 1:08:12Speaker 16: finishing sequences, you know, cross was you know, distracted.
- 1:08:19Speaker 8: You know, and then the halluva kick for the wind.
- 1:08:22Speaker 3: Uh.
- 1:08:24Speaker 8: Yeah. No, I don't know now what Scarlett's fantastic I'll
- 1:08:28Speaker 8: tell you that. I guess we can all agree on.
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: That too, right, Yeah, she looked good as always.
- 1:08:35Speaker 8: Great eye candy, hell of an outfit, all those spikes
- 1:08:39Speaker 8: and ship then putting your hands on her. But hey,
- 1:08:45Speaker 8: I really don't have much to say about this fucking match.
- 1:08:48Speaker 3: Uh.
- 1:08:48Speaker 8: You know, we thought we're gonna get uh Cross Sammy's
- 1:08:53Speaker 8: ain using the pipe there and and we didn't get that.
- 1:08:56Speaker 8: We didn't get we didn't get the the apology Cross
- 1:09:02Speaker 8: Sammy's ay one Cross had admit that he was wrong
- 1:09:04Speaker 8: about him. I feel like he said something after he
- 1:09:08Speaker 8: got pinned, you know, but it should have been something
- 1:09:11Speaker 8: like kind of similar how to and I quid is like,
- 1:09:13Speaker 8: you know, give him the mic say it like. We
- 1:09:16Speaker 8: didn't even get that.
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: Nope, nothing, just.
- 1:09:23Speaker 10: Just Cross laying in the ring looking up at Sammy
- 1:09:26Speaker 10: and Sammy walking off.
- 1:09:27Speaker 8: Yeah, what'd you think?
- 1:09:31Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:09:32Speaker 11: I mean, in terms of a match, it could have
- 1:09:34Speaker 11: gone either way and that would have been intrigued.
- 1:09:37Speaker 12: And if there was any intrigue to be had.
- 1:09:40Speaker 3: It which wasn't. Who gives a ship carried?
- 1:09:45Speaker 11: As far as the contract thing goes, they were promoting
- 1:09:50Speaker 11: his book before.
- 1:09:51Speaker 3: The show.
- 1:09:54Speaker 11: And then they put him on, you know, their second
- 1:09:56Speaker 11: biggest show of the year that.
- 1:09:58Speaker 3: Sounds me that he has a contract. Uh. I don't
- 1:10:00Speaker 3: think they would do that if they didn't.
- 1:10:06Speaker 11: But I don't know what the I don't know what
- 1:10:07Speaker 11: to play is for trying to create this contract drama
- 1:10:10Speaker 11: and whatnot.
- 1:10:11Speaker 3: I really don't know where they're going after the show.
- 1:10:15Speaker 11: Apparently, uh fucking Paul Polly big Nose without in front
- 1:10:20Speaker 11: of an audience doing the post show, and the crowd
- 1:10:24Speaker 11: is scanning, we want.
- 1:10:25Speaker 15: Cross, we want Cross, and he goes, oh, you can
- 1:10:27Speaker 15: hear him saying this is after night too.
- 1:10:30Speaker 3: You canna hear what I'm saying, we want we want Frock.
- 1:10:34Speaker 11: So I don't know if that was a conscious effort to.
- 1:10:38Speaker 12: You know, acts like he doesn't hear.
- 1:10:40Speaker 3: The fans, or maybe he really didn't hear the fans
- 1:10:43Speaker 3: it was the pots.
- 1:10:44Speaker 11: I don't know, but I don't think he would have
- 1:10:46Speaker 11: been on the show at all if he wasn't signed
- 1:10:48Speaker 11: going forward. Uh, maybe the play is to keep him
- 1:10:52Speaker 11: out for a couple of weeks and then bring them
- 1:10:53Speaker 11: back doing something completely different.
- 1:10:55Speaker 3: It's nothing to do with sandwy'sdame, and we just.
- 1:10:57Speaker 12: Never mentioned that's ever happened.
- 1:11:00Speaker 11: Uh, and moves Amy onto somebody else in the meantime
- 1:11:03Speaker 11: that like, I see.
- 1:11:06Speaker 12: But he's one of those guys that he's like.
- 1:11:08Speaker 3: The idea carrying Cross is great.
- 1:11:10Speaker 11: I really liked the idea of carrying Cross, but in
- 1:11:13Speaker 11: in in practice, it's just something's missing. I don't know
- 1:11:18Speaker 11: what it is.
- 1:11:19Speaker 3: Because I think his character's cool.
- 1:11:21Speaker 11: I've often said, like, I think I would have a
- 1:11:24Speaker 11: character similar to his character if I was gonna try
- 1:11:27Speaker 11: to come up with my own character. But it's just
- 1:11:31Speaker 11: I don't know if it's his matchins don't work or
- 1:11:34Speaker 11: what uh.
- 1:11:36Speaker 3: But something's that.
- 1:11:37Speaker 15: I mean, he's clearly something that the audience has last onto,
- 1:11:41Speaker 15: but there needs to be something past that, and I
- 1:11:45Speaker 15: just don't know what it is or how I can
- 1:11:47Speaker 15: find it.
- 1:11:50Speaker 10: I think right now, fans are more attached to Carrying
- 1:11:55Speaker 10: Cross the professional wrestler than carrying Cross the WWE superstar.
- 1:12:03Speaker 3: It's like the idea of Carrie Across.
- 1:12:06Speaker 10: They really like him him as he exists within the work,
- 1:12:11Speaker 10: within the industry of professional wrestling, people are attached to.
- 1:12:15Speaker 10: I think people lashed onto the guy who has something going.
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: Even if they doesn't know what it is.
- 1:12:21Speaker 10: The guy that people want to support, but the corporate
- 1:12:26Speaker 10: machine doesn't seem to be backing him even if he's
- 1:12:30Speaker 10: starting to get something going on his own, Like he
- 1:12:35Speaker 10: think about it, he really he didn't become interesting more
- 1:12:37Speaker 10: so because of what he was doing on camera or
- 1:12:40Speaker 10: what he was doing backstage. He became interesting and got
- 1:12:45Speaker 10: people's attention because of what he was doing online because
- 1:12:49Speaker 10: he was more or less quote unquote breaking k fabe
- 1:12:54Speaker 10: and venting his genuine frustrations online about the product and
- 1:13:02Speaker 10: probably echoing a sentiment that a lot of fans were
- 1:13:05Speaker 10: actually feeling. And I think that's where he got that
- 1:13:09Speaker 10: started to get that connection with the fans as he
- 1:13:12Speaker 10: was relating to them or connecting with them as fans
- 1:13:17Speaker 10: of the product, wanting to and not being satisfied or
- 1:13:20Speaker 10: happy with what they're being given.
- 1:13:26Speaker 11: So far with guys, again, real popular on the internet,
- 1:13:29Speaker 11: but it rarely hems be able to translate to actual.
- 1:13:34Speaker 3: Success, you know, like like Matt.
- 1:13:37Speaker 11: Cardona I think is a great example of that, like
- 1:13:42Speaker 11: very similar. You know, God gets himself over the internet,
- 1:13:44Speaker 11: loves him or whatever, but it's just never, at least
- 1:13:47Speaker 11: not in ww A.
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: Anyway, because he has Mac Cardona.
- 1:13:53Speaker 3: Well that's also true.
- 1:13:55Speaker 11: Yeah, before that, even the Kennon himself over on the internet.
- 1:14:00Speaker 11: But you know before when he was what was it
- 1:14:02Speaker 11: Zach Ryder, So I mean he's doing that back then,
- 1:14:07Speaker 11: but he just never never could make it happen on
- 1:14:10Speaker 11: the main roster. And I mean he just seems to
- 1:14:13Speaker 11: be doing well in the indies.
- 1:14:14Speaker 10: So he's the king of the indies, right, And like
- 1:14:22Speaker 10: I said, carrying Cross, the difference with him is that
- 1:14:25Speaker 10: he's doing this while still being part of the w W.
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: So he's almost like that I.
- 1:14:33Speaker 10: Don't know, that insider type thing like that, like if
- 1:14:38Speaker 10: the fans were to have somebody quote unquote on the inside,
- 1:14:42Speaker 10: maybe he represents that, and maybe that's why they've flashed
- 1:14:45Speaker 10: onto him because you can't say it's anything that he's
- 1:14:49Speaker 10: done on camera, because he ain't done nothing on camera
- 1:14:54Speaker 10: enough to really.
- 1:14:56Speaker 2: Other than other than the interview.
- 1:14:59Speaker 10: Which I wasn't even part of the ww the post
- 1:15:02Speaker 10: that wasn't even the interview he gave after the WrestleMania
- 1:15:05Speaker 10: that wasn't on w W.
- 1:15:07Speaker 2: It was on somebody else's show.
- 1:15:09Speaker 12: Yes it was.
- 1:15:11Speaker 11: It was on somebody else's show that is WWE affiliated,
- 1:15:15Speaker 11: but it wasn't a WWE production.
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: Product, right, It wasn't ww's post show. So right, Yeah,
- 1:15:23Speaker 2: it's that. That's why I say I think.
- 1:15:25Speaker 10: Fans are attached to carrying across the professional wrestler, not
- 1:15:30Speaker 10: so much carrying across the ww superstar.
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: He's got.
- 1:15:35Speaker 10: Yes, when Cross comes out on WWE, he's getting the cheers,
- 1:15:40Speaker 10: but it's because of who he is or what he's
- 1:15:42Speaker 10: doing outside of WWE, more so than what he's doing
- 1:15:46Speaker 10: on their programming.
- 1:15:49Speaker 12: So we'll see somewhere.
- 1:15:54Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, the character, the character that we're getting on
- 1:15:59Speaker 10: television isn't white matching the person that we're seeing online.
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: And we've seen people have gotten over the best.
- 1:16:08Speaker 10: When the person we see on TV reflects a certain
- 1:16:14Speaker 10: measure of who they really are, but just turned up
- 1:16:17Speaker 10: to a certain extent, it feels more real, It feels
- 1:16:22Speaker 10: more natural carrying a Cross. For all that he's doing,
- 1:16:26Speaker 10: still feels like he's playing a character on television, albeit
- 1:16:31Speaker 10: very you know, well developed, when someone's been doing for
- 1:16:35Speaker 10: a while. They's clearly putting us all into But how
- 1:16:38Speaker 10: much of this character carrying Cross, the black and white,
- 1:16:43Speaker 10: the talking people you know backstage you're not really a
- 1:16:46Speaker 10: good person, Sam being yeah, yeah, blah blah, how much
- 1:16:49Speaker 10: of that is actual?
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: Care? Is actual?
- 1:16:52Speaker 10: The actual person and how much of that is just
- 1:16:57Speaker 10: the character of carrying Cross. I think that's where some
- 1:17:02Speaker 10: of the disconnect may still exist.
- 1:17:10Speaker 2: But either way, we.
- 1:17:10Speaker 10: Shall see after this weekend where it all goes. I
- 1:17:14Speaker 10: think we talked about him more than longer than the
- 1:17:17Speaker 10: actual match itself went on for.
- 1:17:19Speaker 8: Yeahs, Yes, we did not.
- 1:17:24Speaker 10: A goddamn thing to say about Sammy's ain. Why because
- 1:17:27Speaker 10: Sammy's ain is boring as fuck. The only thing I'll
- 1:17:31Speaker 10: say about Sammy's ain is he needs something, because right
- 1:17:34Speaker 10: now he is boring.
- 1:17:40Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:17:40Speaker 11: I mean, I would love to see him turn heel,
- 1:17:43Speaker 11: but it doesn't look like it's going to happen. I
- 1:17:44Speaker 11: would like he's gonna do a baby face run first title.
- 1:17:50Speaker 8: Yeah I think maybe, Yeah, he would have turned heel here,
- 1:17:55Speaker 8: you know, using that pipe, but he's better than that.
- 1:17:58Speaker 11: I guess unless they're ising all this, I will be
- 1:18:02Speaker 11: sampion Ton, so I guess as possible.
- 1:18:06Speaker 10: Yeah, I'm sure he'll be on TV next week and
- 1:18:09Speaker 10: be like, now that you don't carrying Across, what's next
- 1:18:12Speaker 10: for you? It's now it's time for me to work.
- 1:18:15Speaker 10: It's on me, right on me, and let's carr Across
- 1:18:20Speaker 10: distract me for too long. I need to get back
- 1:18:22Speaker 10: to doing my thing doing going between my dreams and
- 1:18:26Speaker 10: Michaels and.
- 1:18:26Speaker 2: I'm coming after the w w Championship seth brows. I'm
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: coming to you shut your dumb mass up, same thing
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: and get stumped and take a l.
- 1:18:35Speaker 3: What's happened?
- 1:18:38Speaker 10: So moving on from that match to match four of
- 1:18:41Speaker 10: the night, Tiffany Stratton facing Jade Cargill for the WWE
- 1:18:48Speaker 10: Women's Championship and what was the second shortest match of
- 1:18:53Speaker 10: the night.
- 1:18:57Speaker 2: And possibly the.
- 1:18:59Speaker 10: Most surprising finish of the night, Tiffany Stratton fucking won
- 1:19:05Speaker 10: retained the title against Jade Cargill. I don't know that
- 1:19:09Speaker 10: none of us picked Tiffy to win, did we?
- 1:19:12Speaker 8: No?
- 1:19:12Speaker 3: I don't think so.
- 1:19:14Speaker 11: And like it wasn't even like it wasn't even like, uh,
- 1:19:17Speaker 11: you know, Jaye looks you know, looks valiant and defeat
- 1:19:21Speaker 11: kind of thing.
- 1:19:23Speaker 12: It was just like it was a college over.
- 1:19:28Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's my other.
- 1:19:29Speaker 10: Like the match was only seven minutes, seven minutes and
- 1:19:31Speaker 10: five seconds, so it was even shorter than the Sammy's
- 1:19:33Speaker 10: Ain and Carrying cross match. And for the majority of
- 1:19:37Speaker 10: that match, j Cargill dominated Tiffany Stratton and then all
- 1:19:44Speaker 10: that happened was Tiffany Stratton. What I think J Cargill
- 1:19:48Speaker 10: missed one move. Tiffany Stratton hit her with something, hit
- 1:19:53Speaker 10: the moon salt and.
- 1:19:54Speaker 2: Got the pin right. Yeah, that is terrible fucking storytelling.
- 1:19:59Speaker 12: Match.
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: Yeah, that's that's terrible match storytelling.
- 1:20:03Speaker 10: When you're champion to get the ass whoops and then
- 1:20:05Speaker 10: hit two moves and get a pen. It makes Jade
- 1:20:08Speaker 10: look like an unworthy title contender, that she can be
- 1:20:13Speaker 10: so dominant and then just that two moves she lose.
- 1:20:16Speaker 10: You know, I know that there's been a lot of
- 1:20:19Speaker 10: rumor and talk that WWE have lost faith a bit
- 1:20:24Speaker 10: in Tiffany Stretch, I mean not and j Cargill that
- 1:20:27Speaker 10: at one point they were comparing her. They were looking
- 1:20:29Speaker 10: at her and rear Ripley as being the two faces
- 1:20:33Speaker 10: of the women's division moving forward, and now that's no
- 1:20:36Speaker 10: longer the case on j Cargill's part, which if true,
- 1:20:40Speaker 10: then it's a bit disappointing and that doesn't bode well
- 1:20:44Speaker 10: for Jade's future prospects. From my perspective, I think Jay
- 1:20:50Speaker 10: Cargill has been improving, She's gotten better. Look at her
- 1:20:55Speaker 10: matches now compared to what they were when she first
- 1:20:58Speaker 10: started with WWE. She looks tangibly better. Are there still
- 1:21:03Speaker 10: mistakes here and there? Yes, nowhere near as much as
- 1:21:07Speaker 10: they were in the past, nowhere near as obvious in
- 1:21:10Speaker 10: the past. In fact, in this match, there was a
- 1:21:13Speaker 10: bit of a mistake happened Jade who made the actual
- 1:21:17Speaker 10: save on it, and that's when she hit Jaded and
- 1:21:19Speaker 10: was going for the pen on Tiffy and realized that
- 1:21:23Speaker 10: Tiffany Stratton wasn't close enough to the ropes for that
- 1:21:27Speaker 10: for her to put her leging position and Jade people
- 1:21:30Speaker 10: interpreted as a botch, but it was really more so
- 1:21:32Speaker 10: Jade correcting the mistake by putting Tiffany's leg in position
- 1:21:37Speaker 10: to be on the rope.
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: You know, to me, that speaks to her learning. M h,
- 1:21:45Speaker 2: you know something good.
- 1:21:50Speaker 11: I just say that was as good as good or
- 1:21:52Speaker 11: better than a performance that she's had in w w
- 1:21:55Speaker 11: E and in the time she's been there.
- 1:21:58Speaker 3: I think.
- 1:22:01Speaker 12: It did.
- 1:22:01Speaker 3: You know. The only real criticism I would give is that.
- 1:22:05Speaker 12: I don't think I've said that she was deliberate, Like
- 1:22:08Speaker 12: you can see the wheels turning.
- 1:22:09Speaker 2: I have to go do this and I have to
- 1:22:11Speaker 2: do that.
- 1:22:11Speaker 3: Then she's gonna go over there, and I went over here.
- 1:22:13Speaker 11: We're going to do that, And I think she she
- 1:22:16Speaker 11: did get a little better with that, but the whole
- 1:22:19Speaker 11: match kind of felt very careful or very choreographed, maybe even,
- 1:22:26Speaker 11: which is fine, especially because even think about it, Tiffany.
- 1:22:30Speaker 3: Stratton's green is graph too. Yeah, he's only been doing
- 1:22:34Speaker 3: this for a couple of years.
- 1:22:35Speaker 11: Also, uh, to kind of a testament to the post
- 1:22:38Speaker 11: that they're able to get to such a you know,
- 1:22:41Speaker 11: high mark inflation in the business so quickly. But you know,
- 1:22:47Speaker 11: maybe that's the answer for Jade is to kind of
- 1:22:50Speaker 11: script her maunces a little more than you would to
- 1:22:52Speaker 11: other people, you know, And if that's the constant doing
- 1:22:55Speaker 11: business and making je look.
- 1:22:56Speaker 3: Good, so be it.
- 1:22:58Speaker 17: I don't I mean, I'm obviously not performer, but as
- 1:23:02Speaker 17: a viewer, I don't have.
- 1:23:03Speaker 3: A problem with that if you can kind of see
- 1:23:05Speaker 3: it a tiny bit.
- 1:23:08Speaker 11: Just because I think if you find it out she
- 1:23:10Speaker 11: obviously maybe although Dre you didn't make up a great
- 1:23:16Speaker 11: point of hernal information improvagation there was very good, But
- 1:23:22Speaker 11: I feel like moments had that for her kind a
- 1:23:24Speaker 11: few and far between. Maybe maybe she's getting it out,
- 1:23:29Speaker 11: Like I said, she I think really he is not
- 1:23:34Speaker 11: lack missus the benefit of the house that serrika, you know,
- 1:23:39Speaker 11: getting to perform with the same person, even you know,
- 1:23:42Speaker 11: every night in front of an audience, you know, three
- 1:23:45Speaker 11: four times a week or whatever.
- 1:23:46Speaker 3: I think it really hurts a person like her, really,
- 1:23:50Speaker 3: you know.
- 1:23:50Speaker 11: It's all good to go do the moves in the
- 1:23:52Speaker 11: performance center or whatever, at the total other things, do
- 1:23:55Speaker 11: it in front of ten thousand, twenty thousand and fifty
- 1:23:58Speaker 11: thousand whatever it is, Uh than it is.
- 1:24:04Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a great point you just brought up.
- 1:24:06Speaker 10: And I was gonna touch on that because I believe
- 1:24:10Speaker 10: I think it was Rock San Peres and somebody else
- 1:24:14Speaker 10: in the women's division WWE said it, uh this week
- 1:24:19Speaker 10: or that or recently that.
- 1:24:25Speaker 2: I don't remember.
- 1:24:26Speaker 10: I can't remember exactly what they said word for word,
- 1:24:27Speaker 10: but basically said something that WWE needs more house shows
- 1:24:32Speaker 10: because there are certain wrestlers who need those reps that
- 1:24:38Speaker 10: you only get in the house show circuit by working
- 1:24:42Speaker 10: these matches in front of crowds without the you know,
- 1:24:47Speaker 10: television cameras on, and some people who don't don't get
- 1:24:53Speaker 10: who would greatly benefit that from that, aren't getting it.
- 1:24:56Speaker 2: You can only do so much at the PC. You know,
- 1:25:00Speaker 2: you can only do so much.
- 1:25:03Speaker 10: On raw or an XT and certain stars, once they
- 1:25:07Speaker 10: reach a certain point, you're not gonna put them back
- 1:25:11Speaker 10: on like you know, Evolve or something like that to
- 1:25:14Speaker 10: try to get reps in because that's like a demotion
- 1:25:16Speaker 10: and the way everything is covered nowadays, people will pick
- 1:25:20Speaker 10: up on that and tear somebody down with it. That's
- 1:25:23Speaker 10: where the house shows were beneficial from.
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: And somebody like a J. Cargill would probably greatly.
- 1:25:29Speaker 10: Benefit from being able to work the house show circuit
- 1:25:33Speaker 10: because she didn't have that.
- 1:25:35Speaker 2: She doesn't have it here in WWE. So where is
- 1:25:38Speaker 2: she getting her reps?
- 1:25:43Speaker 3: How many times did your team?
- 1:25:44Speaker 11: Is your team drafted a wide receiver and the kid
- 1:25:47Speaker 11: looks great in practice and he catches everything in practice,
- 1:25:49Speaker 11: and they put him in a game and he can't
- 1:25:51Speaker 11: catch a fucking cold right and then and then when
- 1:25:55Speaker 11: I've happened, he stops getting you know, he stops getting
- 1:25:58Speaker 11: his number calls, so he's not in the game as much, stories,
- 1:26:00Speaker 11: not getting as much chances to catch her path and
- 1:26:03Speaker 11: you know, with lives NFL defenders and friendly soon you know,
- 1:26:08Speaker 11: two years later he's released because you know, like because
- 1:26:12Speaker 11: he doesn't get.
- 1:26:13Speaker 12: Those reps you know, or or or the guy that
- 1:26:15Speaker 12: you know he involved in practice hits.
- 1:26:18Speaker 11: Home run, home run home when he gets up and
- 1:26:19Speaker 11: it strikes I got struck out in the real game,
- 1:26:22Speaker 11: you know, And I think, like I don't think Jade's
- 1:26:25Speaker 11: light that level, but yeah, she needs those repsence she's
- 1:26:29Speaker 11: it's never going to get them, and it kind of
- 1:26:31Speaker 11: sucks for her.
- 1:26:33Speaker 10: Right and that's, you know, slowing her development. I believe
- 1:26:37Speaker 10: if she if she were able to get those reps ands,
- 1:26:40Speaker 10: she'd probably be much further along than she already is.
- 1:26:45Speaker 2: Yeah, Wayne, Greed top in here. Wayne, we're you at
- 1:26:49Speaker 2: with this?
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: You know?
- 1:26:53Speaker 8: When I think, yeah, I agree, this is an outcome
- 1:26:56Speaker 8: nobody saw coming. Like we we all had penciled in,
- 1:27:01Speaker 8: like Jade winning Perst storyline, it made sense, like, you know,
- 1:27:06Speaker 8: we got her this far Queen of the Ring, you
- 1:27:09Speaker 8: got her all this way to lose. Like I was
- 1:27:13Speaker 8: just so confused. Like don't get me wrong, like I
- 1:27:16Speaker 8: I understand, like the the streak Tiffy has for this year,
- 1:27:21Speaker 8: being undefeated this year in general, the push that they're
- 1:27:25Speaker 8: giving her is is Tiffy the one wrestler that Jade's
- 1:27:30Speaker 8: gonna have coming up in her career that you just
- 1:27:33Speaker 8: you just don't have her number.
- 1:27:36Speaker 3: You know.
- 1:27:37Speaker 8: Charlotte has had a couple women like that where it's
- 1:27:40Speaker 8: just like, no matter every time you face them, you
- 1:27:43Speaker 8: just don't have her number.
- 1:27:45Speaker 3: And when you.
- 1:27:46Speaker 8: Finally do beat her, you know, it really means something.
- 1:27:49Speaker 8: Uh Ria, I think had that with with Charlotte. Just
- 1:27:52Speaker 8: couldn't beat Charlotte for the longest time, and you know,
- 1:27:55Speaker 8: when she finally did it, it meant a lot. And
- 1:27:56Speaker 8: it was at WrestleMania, So maybe that's what this is.
- 1:28:01Speaker 8: Like Jay just never gets over Tippy, you know, and
- 1:28:05Speaker 8: one day she does and the I'm sure these two
- 1:28:08Speaker 8: will cross paths again. You know, this match was full
- 1:28:14Speaker 8: of suicide dives and prettiest moon salts and choke slams
- 1:28:20Speaker 8: and power bombs and Falcon arrows. So I mean, very
- 1:28:26Speaker 8: well played out, moved for move. Uh you know, I
- 1:28:30Speaker 8: I enjoyed it. I think Jade had some awesome ring
- 1:28:35Speaker 8: gear like she always does. This one was representing the
- 1:28:37Speaker 8: Jamaican flag, I believe she Yeah, she always has good
- 1:28:42Speaker 8: cosplay gear, you know, I think one one time she
- 1:28:45Speaker 8: did recently she did want to storm which I thought
- 1:28:48Speaker 8: was fucking awesome. But yeah, I mean I enjoyed the match,
- 1:28:54Speaker 8: and they had good seven minutes to go. Uh, you're
- 1:28:58Speaker 8: not looking at two. You're not looking at like Jade
- 1:29:02Speaker 8: mixing up with a very experienced wrestler, like Doyle said,
- 1:29:07Speaker 8: somebody who's just as green.
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:29:09Speaker 8: Uh, these two are coming up together. I expect more
- 1:29:15Speaker 8: from this feud down the road, Like you know, Uh,
- 1:29:20Speaker 8: I definitely see this using some trash talking later like
- 1:29:23Speaker 8: you just you're one who's just never beaten me, who's
- 1:29:26Speaker 8: just never gotten my number. I am a little confused of, like,
- 1:29:31Speaker 8: where the hell's Jade go? Now? Yes, Naomi still has
- 1:29:36Speaker 8: the title. Does brand splits really fucking matter anymore?
- 1:29:42Speaker 3: You know?
- 1:29:42Speaker 8: That's where I naturally thought she would have gone. Did
- 1:29:47Speaker 8: not think that they would get her all the way
- 1:29:50Speaker 8: to Tiffy and then fail. I mean, I thought it
- 1:29:54Speaker 8: would have been cool to have Naomi and Jade Cargloss
- 1:29:56Speaker 8: champions at the same time and Bianca kind of not
- 1:29:59Speaker 8: having the goal and being able to kind of pick
- 1:30:02Speaker 8: and choose it who she wants to go after. But
- 1:30:05Speaker 8: I guess that's not the fucking case anymore. So everything
- 1:30:10Speaker 8: I had idea why is going for Jade after this
- 1:30:14Speaker 8: kind of out the window. I kind of don't know
- 1:30:16Speaker 8: where she's gonna go from here, you know, I hate
- 1:30:21Speaker 8: saying it, but uh, back of the line. You know
- 1:30:25Speaker 8: that's normally what happens when you lose these title shots. Uh,
- 1:30:29Speaker 8: you know, it's back of the line. You gotta you
- 1:30:31Speaker 8: gotta start over, you know. Uh, it's kind of fair
- 1:30:35Speaker 8: and square. I mean, even though it was a prettiest
- 1:30:39Speaker 8: moon soul to roll up, you know. Uh yeah, uh
- 1:30:46Speaker 8: that's all I got.
- 1:30:51Speaker 10: Well, as far as the whole back of the line thing,
- 1:30:53Speaker 10: it'll be interesting to see how w W really does
- 1:30:57Speaker 10: play that after this weekend, given that there are two
- 1:31:01Speaker 10: women who should be going to the back of the
- 1:31:03Speaker 10: line based upon what happened. We'll see if both of
- 1:31:06Speaker 10: them are treated the same, and if both of them
- 1:31:11Speaker 10: do in fact get sent to the back of the line.
- 1:31:13Speaker 2: And yeah, where does Jade go from here? Who knows?
- 1:31:18Speaker 10: Maybe she falls back into the mid card division and
- 1:31:20Speaker 10: works her way up. Sure, I mean that's a route
- 1:31:24Speaker 10: that could we could go down, and maybe the payoff
- 1:31:29Speaker 10: of her becoming champion does come at a later dated
- 1:31:31Speaker 10: That's all.
- 1:31:32Speaker 2: It's all TBD.
- 1:31:35Speaker 10: We'll see depends on how they book her from here
- 1:31:38Speaker 10: moving forward. That will say a lot about what they
- 1:31:42Speaker 10: still think of her and her potential as a future
- 1:31:48Speaker 10: main of vendor.
- 1:31:52Speaker 3: Her going after the US title is a great idea. Actually,
- 1:31:55Speaker 3: is that that's the show she's on?
- 1:31:58Speaker 2: Right SmackDown? Yeah?
- 1:32:01Speaker 3: Yeah, Yeah, Okay, I think that's I think that's a
- 1:32:03Speaker 3: great idea. Yeah, if you're not gonna, if you're gonna, if.
- 1:32:09Speaker 11: You're gonna about right of the out of the title
- 1:32:12Speaker 11: the world title picture, I think that's a good idea
- 1:32:15Speaker 11: for her.
- 1:32:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:32:17Speaker 10: And I mean, Julia is gonna need some you know,
- 1:32:22Speaker 10: bigger name opponents to face. Whatever she wraps her business
- 1:32:27Speaker 10: up with with Zelina Vega, she's gonna need to move
- 1:32:31Speaker 10: on to more higher profile names, and Jade Cargill would
- 1:32:34Speaker 10: fit that bill. But then they have to make the
- 1:32:38Speaker 10: decision does Jay Cargill take another l or does she
- 1:32:42Speaker 10: take the title off?
- 1:32:46Speaker 12: Hm?
- 1:32:47Speaker 2: Hm A lot to juggle mm hmmm yeah. Well, next match.
- 1:32:57Speaker 10: Match The Door was looking forward to the most all weekend,
- 1:33:02Speaker 10: Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul facing the team of Randy
- 1:33:07Speaker 10: Jordan and the roles of Jelly.
- 1:33:11Speaker 2: And seventeen Minute Tag team match that at the very
- 1:33:18Speaker 2: least was entertaining.
- 1:33:22Speaker 10: And I mean this type of match when you especially
- 1:33:25Speaker 10: when you have celebrity involvement who are clearly not actual wrestlers,
- 1:33:30Speaker 10: the most you can hope for in the match is
- 1:33:33Speaker 10: that it's entertaining, that you get good entertainment value, and
- 1:33:37Speaker 10: in that regard, I think the match delivered. I do
- 1:33:40Speaker 10: think it delivered in the entertainment department. All three of
- 1:33:44Speaker 10: those guys worked their butts off to make Jelly Roll
- 1:33:47Speaker 10: look as competent as possible, even though he barely ever
- 1:33:52Speaker 10: moved outside of that Infinity logo in the middle of
- 1:33:54Speaker 10: the ring.
- 1:33:58Speaker 11: Everybody the world's slowest sidewalk slam or whatever whatever he
- 1:34:04Speaker 11: did to Drew it was the slowest I've ever stick.
- 1:34:08Speaker 10: Yeah, and honestly not as clean as the one that
- 1:34:10Speaker 10: he did on Smackdowns. I mean, he's done a cleaner one,
- 1:34:13Speaker 10: but he also probably had much more air in his
- 1:34:16Speaker 10: lungs at that when he did one on smack Down
- 1:34:18Speaker 10: versus trying to do it at the end of a
- 1:34:20Speaker 10: match here where he was probably gassed.
- 1:34:22Speaker 2: All the hell, and.
- 1:34:26Speaker 10: Props to him for taking that fucking table spot from
- 1:34:30Speaker 10: Logan Paul, even if he did lay up there for
- 1:34:32Speaker 10: an ungodly amount of time, and at some point it
- 1:34:35Speaker 10: just looked like he was just literally sitting there looking
- 1:34:38Speaker 10: at Logan Paul like you're gonna jump me?
- 1:34:41Speaker 3: Yeah, and Cole's going he's out cold, obviously.
- 1:34:44Speaker 11: He just entrusted himself on the table like he was
- 1:34:47Speaker 11: obviously not as.
- 1:34:50Speaker 2: He shifts position.
- 1:34:52Speaker 11: A couple I'll call it a couple of those this weekend,
- 1:34:54Speaker 11: it was just like, what the fuck are you talking about?
- 1:34:58Speaker 11: I think in the in the Punk match, he said
- 1:35:00Speaker 11: something like, yeah, we said another punk is out, and
- 1:35:03Speaker 11: it was like Punk was standing up in the process
- 1:35:05Speaker 11: of like obviously he ended anyway.
- 1:35:10Speaker 10: Yeah, Sometimes sometimes I guess when you when you're calling
- 1:35:13Speaker 10: that you make you're already a little bit ahead of yourself,
- 1:35:16Speaker 10: and you're already Braine has already sent the message to
- 1:35:19Speaker 10: the mouth, and the mouth starts saying it, and then
- 1:35:21Speaker 10: something else is happening in the ring.
- 1:35:22Speaker 2: It is like, oh shit, Well yeah.
- 1:35:26Speaker 10: He did have a couple of botches over throughout the
- 1:35:29Speaker 10: weekend as far as Michael Cole himself, but this match
- 1:35:37Speaker 10: did see Logan Paul Andrew McIntyre win when uh, it
- 1:35:45Speaker 10: was Jolly Roll took the pin too, didn't he?
- 1:35:47Speaker 8: M Hm, how rare is that the celebrity and takes
- 1:35:51Speaker 8: the pin?
- 1:35:55Speaker 12: Well you know what, Well, I mean celebrity should time.
- 1:35:59Speaker 10: Right, And I actually appreciate that from from jelly Roll,
- 1:36:03Speaker 10: the fact that he was like, no, I'll take the pen,
- 1:36:06Speaker 10: because you know, even if the whole storyline is me
- 1:36:10Speaker 10: standing up to Logan Paul, at the end of the day,
- 1:36:13Speaker 10: they're right, I'm just a celebrity. I ain't got no
- 1:36:16Speaker 10: business being in here, all right, So yeah, I should
- 1:36:21Speaker 10: be the one that caught to lose the match.
- 1:36:25Speaker 2: So props to him.
- 1:36:26Speaker 10: Again, Props to him for at least having that understanding
- 1:36:29Speaker 10: and not being you know, so full of himself for
- 1:36:33Speaker 10: arrogant enough to think that he should not be the
- 1:36:35Speaker 10: one to take the pin. Props to him for having
- 1:36:39Speaker 10: that level of humility. Hop In Wayne, what do you
- 1:36:43Speaker 10: think on this match?
- 1:36:45Speaker 12: Who Man?
- 1:36:47Speaker 8: Definitely an interesting, Definitely an interesting. Jelly Roll did more
- 1:36:52Speaker 8: than I thought he was gonna do. He took a
- 1:36:54Speaker 8: lot more uh spots. I was actually pretty damn impressed
- 1:36:59Speaker 8: with the the table spot man, like he actually he
- 1:37:03Speaker 8: actually went through the table.
- 1:37:05Speaker 4: Uh.
- 1:37:06Speaker 8: I was pretty impressed, Like for for celebrity to take
- 1:37:10Speaker 8: as many bumps as he did. Uh, you know. And
- 1:37:16Speaker 8: then I think the first half of the match they
- 1:37:19Speaker 8: had him basically like away from Morton, uh, taking a
- 1:37:23Speaker 8: lot of like you said, didn't lead the Exfinity logo
- 1:37:26Speaker 8: very much in the beginning. They kept him grounded right
- 1:37:29Speaker 8: in the right in the center.
- 1:37:33Speaker 2: Oh yeah.
- 1:37:34Speaker 8: The fans hated Paul Logan.
- 1:37:36Speaker 4: Paul.
- 1:37:37Speaker 8: We got like fuck you Logan chants, which I thought
- 1:37:40Speaker 8: was great. You know, everybody played their part pretty well
- 1:37:45Speaker 8: for this. You know, we got the holy shit chant
- 1:37:48Speaker 8: when when it was justified. Uh, I think it was
- 1:37:53Speaker 8: funny when we had all the medical people come out
- 1:37:56Speaker 8: and try to have Jelly roll out. Was like six
- 1:37:57Speaker 8: people trying to carry him out. He's knowing the whole
- 1:38:02Speaker 8: the whole crying thing and you know, or trying to
- 1:38:06Speaker 8: make the tag. And there was a point where they
- 1:38:08Speaker 8: panned back to Logan Paul and me and listener Dwayne
- 1:38:12Speaker 8: were watching and and Logan Paul just makes this this face,
- 1:38:15Speaker 8: like the face of going like what the fuck's wrong
- 1:38:18Speaker 8: with this guy kind of face, And I was just
- 1:38:20Speaker 8: I was just fucking dying, you know. And I'm also
- 1:38:24Speaker 8: talking about like, uh, when I see. You know, I'm
- 1:38:28Speaker 8: at that point now where like when I see you know,
- 1:38:31Speaker 8: in that ring, like there was only one celebrity there
- 1:38:34Speaker 8: and there was three w W superstars in that ring,
- 1:38:37Speaker 8: like Logan Paul, I see in my eyes now, you know,
- 1:38:40Speaker 8: as time went by, he's just a WW superstar. I
- 1:38:43Speaker 8: don't find him as is this internet dude, this YouTube
- 1:38:47Speaker 8: guy anymore. Like I look at him with a little
- 1:38:50Speaker 8: bit more respect, you know, more and more every one
- 1:38:54Speaker 8: of his matches, uh, the caliber, his matches.
- 1:38:56Speaker 3: Who he's going with, you know, and champion for Yeah.
- 1:39:03Speaker 8: I mean, like he's just there's not many guys who
- 1:39:06Speaker 8: can just come into this business and do what they
- 1:39:09Speaker 8: do and and pick it all up. And like you know,
- 1:39:12Speaker 8: Logan Paul just he does. He's he's decent on the mic, right,
- 1:39:18Speaker 8: I say, he's pretty decent on the mic. I don't
- 1:39:20Speaker 8: roll my eyes Whenever Logan Paul gets the mic, he
- 1:39:23Speaker 8: gets he he plays his character well and he's naturally
- 1:39:26Speaker 8: a fucking heel. So people hate him. It works great
- 1:39:28Speaker 8: in his favor in this business. He's athletic, he he
- 1:39:33Speaker 8: he has a gimmick he has. I like his music,
- 1:39:36Speaker 8: I think, uh, you know, the moves that he does
- 1:39:40Speaker 8: is pretty damn shocking. Like you always know when Logan
- 1:39:43Speaker 8: Paul is in a match, there's something good off of
- 1:39:45Speaker 8: a high spot's gonna happen, you know. And and Logan
- 1:39:50Speaker 8: and Jelly Roll were willing to put their bodies on
- 1:39:52Speaker 8: the line for a holy shit shann and I you know,
- 1:39:54Speaker 8: I was all for it. It wasn't Orton and Drew
- 1:39:57Speaker 8: McIntyre that did that spot. It was you know, a
- 1:40:02Speaker 8: singer and a YouTuber, I guess. But like I said,
- 1:40:06Speaker 8: at the end of the day, I just I don't
- 1:40:08Speaker 8: look at him like that. No more like this guy
- 1:40:10Speaker 8: is a WW superstar. You know, respect where it's given.
- 1:40:17Speaker 8: But yeah, I mean, jelly Roll got huge response. The
- 1:40:20Speaker 8: crowd loved him. I mean, even when he was getting
- 1:40:23Speaker 8: up from his table spot, you could hear the crowd
- 1:40:26Speaker 8: even though he was off camera, just cheering for him.
- 1:40:29Speaker 8: I also assume this isn't the last time we see
- 1:40:32Speaker 8: jelly Roll. I'm sure he'll be he'll be back again.
- 1:40:37Speaker 12: So but.
- 1:40:40Speaker 8: Yep, that's all I got.
- 1:40:43Speaker 10: Yeah, I mean, I think Logan has long since earned
- 1:40:46Speaker 10: the respect of fans as a wrestler. I think we've
- 1:40:50Speaker 10: definitely all gotten to that point.
- 1:40:53Speaker 2: But he's still an Internet douchebag.
- 1:40:58Speaker 18: He's I mean, when they brought him in, I thought
- 1:41:03Speaker 18: they thought, you know, all this guy's got in, however
- 1:41:07Speaker 18: many million followers, they're gonna love him.
- 1:41:10Speaker 11: I think they expected him to be this huge babyspace
- 1:41:12Speaker 11: and then when he wasn't, it took him a while to.
- 1:41:19Speaker 3: Roll with it. I don't know.
- 1:41:26Speaker 10: I think I think Logan Paul is very self aware.
- 1:41:31Speaker 10: I think he was very self aware. Yes, he does
- 1:41:33Speaker 10: have a he abouly has a massive following on YouTube,
- 1:41:38Speaker 10: but I think he's very much aware of how polarizing
- 1:41:42Speaker 10: he is and how controversial he has been in the past.
- 1:41:47Speaker 10: So I think at the very least, he was very
- 1:41:49Speaker 10: self aware that coming into WWE, people probably were more
- 1:41:55Speaker 10: likely to boo him than cheer him. I don't think
- 1:41:58Speaker 10: Logan Paul came in thinking these guys are gonna love me,
- 1:42:01Speaker 10: I know. I think he came in very much aware
- 1:42:03Speaker 10: of the fact that chances of our fans were going
- 1:42:06Speaker 10: to boo him and to touch, you know, touching back
- 1:42:09Speaker 10: on the whole carrying cross thing, this is where Logan
- 1:42:12Speaker 10: Paul works, and carrying Cross is not working because Logan
- 1:42:18Speaker 10: Paul what he's doing is basically an extension of himself
- 1:42:22Speaker 10: turned up, and that's why he works so well as
- 1:42:26Speaker 10: a heel, because that's kind of what he's made his
- 1:42:30Speaker 10: Internet fame on was being an Internet trolling heel.
- 1:42:35Speaker 2: He just brought it to WWE and turned the dial
- 1:42:38Speaker 2: up to ten.
- 1:42:40Speaker 10: And that's why it works for him, And it seems
- 1:42:44Speaker 10: so natural, and he's so damn good at it to
- 1:42:46Speaker 10: go with his athleticism and his natural talent to pick up,
- 1:42:50Speaker 10: you know, the art of wrestling.
- 1:42:53Speaker 2: So yeah, for him at all.
- 1:42:57Speaker 11: Well, I think he just said he looks the part,
- 1:43:00Speaker 11: you know, so he brings an air of believability that say, uh,
- 1:43:04Speaker 11: you know, Delli Rowl doesn't.
- 1:43:08Speaker 12: You know, Delli roll doesn't look like professional rest.
- 1:43:13Speaker 17: Maybe maybe in the eighties, you know, uh maybe when
- 1:43:17Speaker 17: when you know, the paths and Bogers and the earthquakes
- 1:43:21Speaker 17: and the tugue boats were roaming.
- 1:43:24Speaker 3: The Roman the kars. Uh. But you know, I made no.
- 1:43:32Speaker 11: Uh secret about the fact that I cannot stand sell
- 1:43:37Speaker 11: the roll but credit recreditson he didn't look I mean,
- 1:43:41Speaker 11: I wasn't expecting luces out there or anything, but I mean,
- 1:43:45Speaker 11: he don't.
- 1:43:46Speaker 3: I don't think he embarrassed himself, uh.
- 1:43:49Speaker 12: Which I was.
- 1:43:49Speaker 3: I hope I don't.
- 1:43:50Speaker 12: I don't know how much humility he has to be.
- 1:43:53Speaker 11: Embarrassed, uh walking around with uh you look like somebody
- 1:43:57Speaker 11: drew on your face and you passed out, uh with
- 1:44:00Speaker 11: your stuns on at a party.
- 1:44:05Speaker 3: Much ability has.
- 1:44:06Speaker 11: To be embarrassed. But I don't think he embarrassed himself.
- 1:44:08Speaker 11: The credit where creditors due. He held his own a
- 1:44:11Speaker 11: little bit out there. It was a fun, entertaining match.
- 1:44:16Speaker 11: It kind of about pallet cleanser kind of match. This
- 1:44:20Speaker 11: is also the match like the whole weekend, just the
- 1:44:25Speaker 11: match of order seems simplest hard to me. And we'll
- 1:44:27Speaker 11: talk more about this than we do Night too.
- 1:44:30Speaker 3: Uh, just a.
- 1:44:31Speaker 11: Weapons fatigue and night too. This is kind of like
- 1:44:34Speaker 11: pallet cleanser kind of match. I think you stick in
- 1:44:37Speaker 11: between a you know, a street fight and a no
- 1:44:39Speaker 11: DQ match to kind of break it up a little bit.
- 1:44:43Speaker 11: I questioned why this match, you know, was on nine
- 1:44:47Speaker 11: one and away from all these other car crafts matches
- 1:44:50Speaker 11: where I think this would have been a really good
- 1:44:52Speaker 11: change of pace kind of match on night two.
- 1:44:55Speaker 3: It was about the night one, But it's kind of
- 1:44:58Speaker 3: not a here or there. Yeah, I mean it doesn't
- 1:45:01Speaker 3: match what happened. It was fine, it was fun. This
- 1:45:04Speaker 3: is kind of your your comedy match maybe if you will. Yeah,
- 1:45:09Speaker 3: for what it was, it was fine.
- 1:45:11Speaker 2: Uh yeah.
- 1:45:12Speaker 11: I don't think we've seen the laps of jelly roll
- 1:45:14Speaker 11: unfortunately or fortunately.
- 1:45:18Speaker 15: Man.
- 1:45:18Speaker 3: I want you to get up into the world title
- 1:45:21Speaker 3: hunt again.
- 1:45:22Speaker 11: He was doing such fucking great work for so long
- 1:45:26Speaker 11: and I think it's time he gets rewarded.
- 1:45:33Speaker 10: Yep, no disagreement there at all. Any other final thoughts
- 1:45:39Speaker 10: on this match before.
- 1:45:40Speaker 2: We move on to the main event.
- 1:45:44Speaker 3: No, the main event, all.
- 1:45:48Speaker 10: Right, I'll think that is a no moving on final
- 1:45:51Speaker 10: match of the night. Well, main event of the night. Yeah,
- 1:45:55Speaker 10: see him Punk facing challenging Gunter for the World Heavyweight
- 1:46:01Speaker 10: Championship and a match that went on for.
- 1:46:06Speaker 2: Quite some time.
- 1:46:07Speaker 10: Longest match of the night at just over thirty minutes,
- 1:46:12Speaker 10: and it was a good match. I don't know that
- 1:46:15Speaker 10: this match was enough to save Night one overall. I
- 1:46:17Speaker 10: think we kind of talked about it in the discord.
- 1:46:20Speaker 10: This match this night was pretty dagone, lackluster in terms
- 1:46:25Speaker 10: of the overall sense of Night one, But this match,
- 1:46:29Speaker 10: along with the opening match with Broman, and Jay and
- 1:46:33Speaker 10: Bron and Bronson were clearly the two best matches of
- 1:46:36Speaker 10: the night.
- 1:46:37Speaker 2: Obviously this match.
- 1:46:39Speaker 10: I probably give this match the edge as far as
- 1:46:41Speaker 10: being the match of the night because it was. It
- 1:46:44Speaker 10: was a bangover match, Like they went back and forth.
- 1:46:47Speaker 10: They were beating the not out of each other. Gunter
- 1:46:51Speaker 10: was chopping the dog shit out to see him Punk
- 1:46:53Speaker 10: Punk was taking it and giving it just as well.
- 1:46:57Speaker 10: We even got some blood in this daggone match, which
- 1:47:02Speaker 10: in some deserved blood, some warranted blood. For as hard
- 1:47:06Speaker 10: as they were going at each other, you know, somebody
- 1:47:09Speaker 10: had to get some color at some point, and for
- 1:47:10Speaker 10: it to be Gunter kind of a bit of a surprise,
- 1:47:15Speaker 10: although apparently there were you know, none or outside of
- 1:47:19Speaker 10: the ring reasons for it, but that's neither here nor there.
- 1:47:22Speaker 10: But then the match yourself. It worked, It helped elevate
- 1:47:25Speaker 10: the match. It wasn't gratuitous, it wasn't unnecessary, and.
- 1:47:31Speaker 2: Ultimately, when it all came down to it, Seeing Punk
- 1:47:35Speaker 2: one I didn't. I don't think I picked Seeing Punk
- 1:47:38Speaker 2: to win. I think I picked Gunter Retain.
- 1:47:43Speaker 3: I think did you pick picked Gunter?
- 1:47:46Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:47:47Speaker 2: Two right door?
- 1:47:48Speaker 3: I picked gun Yeah yeah, yeah.
- 1:47:50Speaker 2: Yeah, Wayne did you pick Punk to win?
- 1:47:53Speaker 8: I think I picked Punk to win.
- 1:47:55Speaker 2: I thought one of us picked Punk to win.
- 1:47:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:47:59Speaker 8: I just felt like this was it, man Like, this
- 1:48:01Speaker 8: was it. This was he was gonna get his flowers
- 1:48:03Speaker 8: finally from busting his ass for so fucking long and
- 1:48:07Speaker 8: you know, coming back to the company and stuff like.
- 1:48:10Speaker 8: But like at the same time, I I kind of knew,
- 1:48:15Speaker 8: man Like, I kind of knew what was gonna happen afterwards.
- 1:48:17Speaker 8: I've been I've been talking about this ever since he
- 1:48:21Speaker 8: won the briefcase, you know, like how I've been just
- 1:48:26Speaker 8: talking about it since then. Man Like, what how how
- 1:48:29Speaker 8: great would it be if he catched it and took
- 1:48:31Speaker 8: that from the one person he would you know, I
- 1:48:35Speaker 8: want to take that from Not only is he win
- 1:48:37Speaker 8: in that world title, he's taking it from the one
- 1:48:40Speaker 8: person he probably hates most on that roster.
- 1:48:42Speaker 10: First storyline, well, I hadn't brought it up yet, but
- 1:48:45Speaker 10: he's talking about seth rollins after this match, cashing in
- 1:48:49Speaker 10: the money in the bank briefcase on CM Punk and
- 1:48:53Speaker 10: taking the title from Punk.
- 1:48:57Speaker 8: But yeah, oh sorry, uh yeah, I I I had
- 1:49:03Speaker 8: Punk one in this because that's what I just thought.
- 1:49:05Speaker 8: That's I didn't suspect the absolute finish at the end.
- 1:49:10Speaker 8: But yeah, Punk winning the goal was my Uh, it
- 1:49:16Speaker 8: was my prediction. But I don't think any of us
- 1:49:19Speaker 8: predicted what would happen after that.
- 1:49:24Speaker 12: Well actually goes through it.
- 1:49:30Speaker 2: Yeah, on the match first, the.
- 1:49:36Speaker 11: Match first, this is as good a performance since Punk
- 1:49:40Speaker 11: is given us back. I thought, yeah, you know, like
- 1:49:47Speaker 11: you said, dry, Uh, I don't. I don't generally have
- 1:49:50Speaker 11: a problem with blood. They don't need to see it
- 1:49:52Speaker 11: every match, but it makes sense. It makes sense, and
- 1:49:55Speaker 11: you know, when the ball league finally gets his nose
- 1:49:58Speaker 11: busted and sees his own for the first time, kind
- 1:50:01Speaker 11: of talents. Uh, you know, that makes sense. You know,
- 1:50:06Speaker 11: So I didn't have a problem with it. Maybe his
- 1:50:11Speaker 11: injury is legit or not.
- 1:50:16Speaker 3: TV for a couple of.
- 1:50:17Speaker 10: Weeks, he does have a legitimate injury that is going
- 1:50:22Speaker 10: to require some surgery, but i't so he they I
- 1:50:25Speaker 10: think it's something something related to his nose that he's
- 1:50:29Speaker 10: getting surgery on, and so he's going.
- 1:50:31Speaker 3: To be out rather in orbital.
- 1:50:36Speaker 2: I think, yeah, that's what they said.
- 1:50:40Speaker 10: Yeah, that's what they said on raw because well, the
- 1:50:43Speaker 10: blood that he's sustained, the injury, he's sustained quote unquote
- 1:50:47Speaker 10: the KFA injury.
- 1:50:49Speaker 2: He's stained in the match.
- 1:50:50Speaker 10: Obviously the blood wasn't coming from his nose, it was
- 1:50:52Speaker 10: coming from his forehead and face area, so make it
- 1:50:56Speaker 10: make sense on television they had to say something orbitable related.
- 1:51:00Speaker 10: But I think the actual injury is something related to
- 1:51:02Speaker 10: his nose that he's gonna have to have surgery on
- 1:51:04Speaker 10: that's gonna put him out for a couple of weeks.
- 1:51:06Speaker 10: And they used this match and that the blood and
- 1:51:11Speaker 10: all that as a way to write them off television.
- 1:51:14Speaker 3: Interesting.
- 1:51:15Speaker 11: Interesting, Okay, good because I was just gonna say, I
- 1:51:18Speaker 11: hope they're not running to get another fake injury angle,
- 1:51:20Speaker 11: because like, I don't know, I kind of I don't.
- 1:51:25Speaker 11: You know, we discussed the possibility of Alls catching in,
- 1:51:28Speaker 11: but I don't think they of us thought it was
- 1:51:30Speaker 11: going to because I think we all.
- 1:51:31Speaker 3: Believed he was actually injured.
- 1:51:33Speaker 4: Uh.
- 1:51:34Speaker 11: But it's just the problem with this I have is, like,
- 1:51:37Speaker 11: you know, because we just saw this actually happen with
- 1:51:39Speaker 11: Zoe Stark right where the blugging me out, they stopped
- 1:51:42Speaker 11: the match.
- 1:51:43Speaker 3: They carry her to the back, and then the next
- 1:51:46Speaker 3: time that happens.
- 1:51:47Speaker 12: Everyone's going, nah, that's you know there there. It's just
- 1:51:51Speaker 12: a part of the story, right.
- 1:51:52Speaker 3: No one's gonna believe it, uh. I just think it's
- 1:51:55Speaker 3: kind of you know, it's one thing to.
- 1:51:57Speaker 11: Say that the four horsemen jumped Upsy relative gas station
- 1:52:00Speaker 11: and broke his leg.
- 1:52:01Speaker 3: You know, that's one thing, but you know, shop.
- 1:52:05Speaker 2: A match and.
- 1:52:09Speaker 3: I just kind of rubbed me the wrong way a
- 1:52:10Speaker 3: little bit. Although I must have met I do.
- 1:52:14Speaker 11: Appreciate the commitment to k feb where he's you know,
- 1:52:18Speaker 11: running around with the kid on.
- 1:52:19Speaker 3: His punches and stuff. I know, tell THEE that was
- 1:52:22Speaker 3: pretty good. But you know, I kind of have a
- 1:52:26Speaker 3: problem with the fake intory thing, just the way they
- 1:52:29Speaker 3: did it.
- 1:52:31Speaker 11: I thought we could have done something similar but without
- 1:52:35Speaker 11: because I just feel like it's the next time someone
- 1:52:37Speaker 11: gets hurt, no one's gonna believe it.
- 1:52:39Speaker 3: You know, And I just feel that's kind of a
- 1:52:41Speaker 3: disservice to whoever it is, and there will be someone
- 1:52:45Speaker 3: to get seriously hurt in the ring next time.
- 1:52:49Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a valid point.
- 1:52:50Speaker 10: And and so the point that you brought up way about,
- 1:52:54Speaker 10: you know, storyline perspective, it made sense and we had
- 1:52:58Speaker 10: all talked about it for while. Now that you know
- 1:53:01Speaker 10: the possibility of Punk winning the title at SummerSlam, Seth
- 1:53:05Speaker 10: Rollins cashing.
- 1:53:06Speaker 2: In and immediately stealing it from him.
- 1:53:08Speaker 10: I'm pretty sure I think I may have pitched that
- 1:53:12Speaker 10: very that exact scenario at some point earlier this year,
- 1:53:15Speaker 10: or one of us in this probably pitched that exact
- 1:53:18Speaker 10: scenario as it played out here. Well, not to the
- 1:53:22Speaker 10: team because obviously the injury wasn't a factor, but we
- 1:53:27Speaker 10: had all kind of predicted. I think a lot of
- 1:53:30Speaker 10: people in a lot of fans had predicted the prospect
- 1:53:34Speaker 10: of seeing Punk winning the title and Seth Rollins immediately
- 1:53:38Speaker 10: cashing in on him and taking it away and ruining
- 1:53:41Speaker 10: that moment. That's a scenario that everybody kind of saw
- 1:53:45Speaker 10: coming a mile away. And yeah, they may have thrown
- 1:53:49Speaker 10: some people off with the the injury. The Seth Rollins injury,
- 1:53:55Speaker 10: which was I guess was probably a clear attempt to
- 1:53:58Speaker 10: throw people off the trail of the very obvious scenario
- 1:54:01Speaker 10: that everybody saw coming a mile away. So when it
- 1:54:04Speaker 10: still wound up happening despite the injury, at least for me,
- 1:54:10Speaker 10: it didn't quite hit the scene because it's like, oh,
- 1:54:14Speaker 10: Seth Rolins music, kids, Okay, he comes out, He's crutches. Okay,
- 1:54:20Speaker 10: he's like, I'll cut eye on you.
- 1:54:21Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:54:22Speaker 10: So he's just making a threat. Oh he's taking the
- 1:54:25Speaker 10: knee off.
- 1:54:26Speaker 1: Oh.
- 1:54:26Speaker 2: So they're doing exactly what I thought they were gonna do.
- 1:54:29Speaker 10: And that was pretty much my thought process as it
- 1:54:31Speaker 10: was playing out, because I'm watching it. I'm watching it,
- 1:54:35Speaker 10: I'm watching it, I'm watching it. Oh, they're doing anything
- 1:54:37Speaker 10: that I said that they were gonna do a long
- 1:54:38Speaker 10: time ago. Okay, and Seth Rolins's champion. Yeah, to me,
- 1:54:44Speaker 10: it didn't really hit the way it could have had
- 1:54:50Speaker 10: they not played up the injury angle or yeah, had
- 1:54:54Speaker 10: they gone some different route to try to throw us
- 1:54:57Speaker 10: off the trail. You know, maybe if they had just
- 1:55:02Speaker 10: kept Seth Robins clean and gave him an actual match
- 1:55:07Speaker 10: here at SummerSlam with somebody, and they could have played
- 1:55:10Speaker 10: up the injury during the match itself, there would have
- 1:55:13Speaker 10: been less time for people to speculate or try to
- 1:55:18Speaker 10: see through it. And yeah, props to Seth for doing
- 1:55:23Speaker 10: everything he could to commit to it, because, as he said,
- 1:55:26Speaker 10: once he was in those crutches, he did that for
- 1:55:29Speaker 10: the whole month. He talked about how, you know, he
- 1:55:33Speaker 10: started to become a little irritable about it. He was
- 1:55:35Speaker 10: a little worried about his shoulder getting injured from doing it,
- 1:55:38Speaker 10: from walking around with these crutches so much, I think,
- 1:55:41Speaker 10: he said, him and Becky went out to dinner with
- 1:55:46Speaker 10: biancle bell Are and Montes for one night, and he
- 1:55:48Speaker 10: was in the crutches like he was fully committed to it.
- 1:55:51Speaker 10: So props to him for that. But yeah, they probably
- 1:55:55Speaker 10: could have done it in a better way that could
- 1:55:58Speaker 10: have maybe elicited a more genuine surprise, right, because yeah,
- 1:56:04Speaker 10: for me, it didn't really hit anybody else have any
- 1:56:12Speaker 10: thoughts about the cash in or how was that secuted
- 1:56:15Speaker 10: or anything?
- 1:56:16Speaker 8: Uh yeah, I mean like the match and the cash
- 1:56:18Speaker 8: and like, you know, this extremely long match and given reason,
- 1:56:25Speaker 8: you know why to get you know, Punk gassed you
- 1:56:29Speaker 8: know for the cash in, you know between the the
- 1:56:35Speaker 8: Oh my god, dude, like the chest slaps, holy shit,
- 1:56:38Speaker 8: I mean, Gunther beat his ass. Oh. Also, I like
- 1:56:44Speaker 8: punks gear the Fantastic four it was it was modeled
- 1:56:47Speaker 8: after which I thought was pretty cool, good timing, good color,
- 1:56:55Speaker 8: Grim saying yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean, like overall, I
- 1:57:02Speaker 8: did like the match. There was multiple times though during
- 1:57:07Speaker 8: this match that Gunther and Punk just weren't on the
- 1:57:11Speaker 8: same page with a certain move. I mean, they just
- 1:57:13Speaker 8: look confused. There was a few times that happened. I
- 1:57:17Speaker 8: was like, oh, God, like is it because it's such
- 1:57:20Speaker 8: a long drawn out match is the reason why they
- 1:57:23Speaker 8: had such an issue trying to remember all these spots or.
- 1:57:28Speaker 2: I don't know the circuit and you know, before you
- 1:57:36Speaker 2: go in front of the cameras.
- 1:57:39Speaker 8: Right, you know, after this match, I guess we were
- 1:57:44Speaker 8: all thinking the same thing. We're like looking at the time.
- 1:57:47Speaker 8: The time is the dead giveaway sometimes with these pls
- 1:57:50Speaker 8: or or even you know, rawl or SmackDown. When stuff
- 1:57:53Speaker 8: like this happens, you're just like, oh, we still got
- 1:57:55Speaker 8: some time left, like something's gonna happen, and you know,
- 1:58:00Speaker 8: me and doing it is just like all right, we're
- 1:58:02Speaker 8: happy punks won the title. You know, he's crying. It's emotional,
- 1:58:06Speaker 8: like I'm happy and I'm just like in the back
- 1:58:08Speaker 8: of my head and like, by no, this is gonna
- 1:58:10Speaker 8: be this could be taken away from it. I'm just
- 1:58:13Speaker 8: waiting for it, waiting for it, and then out of nowhere.
- 1:58:23Speaker 8: I love having that Uh yeah, you're just out of it.
- 1:58:26Speaker 8: Just perfect, man, Just burn it down. The crowd.
- 1:58:30Speaker 11: What's that speaking of time, Speaking of time, Phil has
- 1:58:36Speaker 11: like four or five minutes to get the.
- 1:58:38Speaker 12: Fuck out of there, and he doesn't since they're like
- 1:58:40Speaker 12: a dope.
- 1:58:42Speaker 3: It waits for a set to come down and his
- 1:58:44Speaker 3: brains and take the bounce off the idiot.
- 1:58:49Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:58:50Speaker 10: Yeah, the moment you see him drop the cane drop there,
- 1:58:55Speaker 10: he's not injured by yes, don't run away from the fight.
- 1:59:05Speaker 10: Stand there and either fight them all or get their
- 1:59:07Speaker 10: ass kicked.
- 1:59:08Speaker 8: And the crowd that's why I would have done, you know,
- 1:59:13Speaker 8: like screw that.
- 1:59:17Speaker 11: I'm success though, for successfully handing the briefcase with somebody else,
- 1:59:21Speaker 11: because it's always like.
- 1:59:23Speaker 3: You know, hold and hold it.
- 1:59:25Speaker 12: He's boom, here you go, bring one, two three.
- 1:59:31Speaker 11: Apparently beneck sus kids told the kid's teacher that he
- 1:59:36Speaker 11: was taking this has been something like that daddy fortiding
- 1:59:39Speaker 11: to have a bootoo and they had to go to
- 1:59:41Speaker 11: the teacher and be like, okay, you can't tell eh, okay.
- 1:59:48Speaker 10: Maybe what they could have done to try to alleviate
- 1:59:50Speaker 10: that whole you know, time gap between seth revealed and
- 1:59:57Speaker 10: him coming down to the ring and punks just standing
- 2:00:00Speaker 10: there watching it happen the whole time. Maybe Seth should
- 2:00:04Speaker 10: have come to the ring in the crutches and stood
- 2:00:07Speaker 10: there in front of Punk, in front of punkins, you know,
- 2:00:11Speaker 10: reminding him, Hey, I've got this briefcase. I'll be coming
- 2:00:14Speaker 10: for you at some point, YO, talk some shit or whatever.
- 2:00:16Speaker 10: And then in comes Bron and brought him from behind,
- 2:00:21Speaker 10: and they put the beat down on him, you know,
- 2:00:24Speaker 10: just whooping his ass after the match, just a little bit,
- 2:00:27Speaker 10: not nothing over top, but they start stopping him out
- 2:00:30Speaker 10: and then they hold up, they hold up, hold up
- 2:00:35Speaker 10: Punk and he's looking at Seth, and that's when Seth
- 2:00:40Speaker 10: drops the canes, takes off the brace, takes his shirt off,
- 2:00:47Speaker 10: and then hands' briefcase to him, when Punk's already beat
- 2:00:51Speaker 10: down and just looking up and like shit, that might
- 2:00:57Speaker 10: that that could have been maybe a better way to
- 2:00:59Speaker 10: execute it, just thinking off the top of my head.
- 2:01:03Speaker 3: Speaking a breaker. He looks pretty banged up there after
- 2:01:07Speaker 3: this match. He looked all right by Monday, but when
- 2:01:11Speaker 3: then he came out.
- 2:01:12Speaker 11: After Seth one, his leg was all taped up and
- 2:01:15Speaker 11: he had a pretty bad limp.
- 2:01:19Speaker 12: I guess, I don't know.
- 2:01:22Speaker 10: Monday, I noticed two things. One he clearly had some
- 2:01:25Speaker 10: sort of knee brace, underneath his pants. And two, he
- 2:01:30Speaker 10: seemed to stay to the rope. Like when Seth was
- 2:01:36Speaker 10: in the ring cutting that promo, Bronson re I mean,
- 2:01:39Speaker 10: Bronson was pretty much always in the middle of the
- 2:01:41Speaker 10: ring or not too far away from Seth. Bron kind
- 2:01:44Speaker 10: of stayed a little bit more to the side, like
- 2:01:46Speaker 10: closer to the ropes.
- 2:01:48Speaker 3: Like yeah, I mean he was getting involved physically with people.
- 2:01:52Speaker 2: Didn't get involved. I'm not saying that.
- 2:01:55Speaker 10: I'm not saying that he's like, you know, actually injured,
- 2:01:58Speaker 10: but it could be one of these things where it
- 2:02:01Speaker 10: could be the case of bad timing where he really
- 2:02:03Speaker 10: can't afford to go out with the injury right now.
- 2:02:05Speaker 2: So maybe it's some hurt.
- 2:02:07Speaker 10: You know, he could be hurt but not injured, and
- 2:02:10Speaker 10: he's working through it and just hoping. Yeah, he's just
- 2:02:14Speaker 10: working through the pain, hoping it will heal on its own,
- 2:02:17Speaker 10: or hoping he can you know, rehab his way to
- 2:02:20Speaker 10: getting it better, as opposed to you know, saying, hey,
- 2:02:24Speaker 10: I need time off, I need to get away to
- 2:02:26Speaker 10: to rehab this or get some sort of surgery or
- 2:02:29Speaker 10: have it looked at for possible surgery, because yeah, you
- 2:02:32Speaker 10: got admit it, like right now would be a terrible
- 2:02:34Speaker 10: time for him to go down boundary.
- 2:02:37Speaker 3: Mm hmm, any of them?
- 2:02:43Speaker 8: How's the hell of an ending though to the night one?
- 2:02:45Speaker 8: I'll tell you that going through with a busted face.
- 2:02:50Speaker 8: See uh, you know, seeing Punk winning and losing the
- 2:02:53Speaker 8: world title and uh e Cethrol's standing tall?
- 2:02:57Speaker 2: You know, I will say, though I'm world heavyweight champion.
- 2:03:03Speaker 8: Could you could you imagine how tall they would have
- 2:03:06Speaker 8: stood it? If Bronson and bron Braker won their first match?
- 2:03:12Speaker 3: No?
- 2:03:13Speaker 8: Does it even? I guess Uh, I'm going to overshadowed
- 2:03:18Speaker 8: all of that and justified it in the end.
- 2:03:23Speaker 10: Yeah, they would have looked maybe a little bit more
- 2:03:25Speaker 10: dominant if you'd had you know, them standing there next
- 2:03:29Speaker 10: to them, knowing that they had defeated Roman and Jay earlier. Sure,
- 2:03:35Speaker 10: but then again, if they did that, suppose they had
- 2:03:40Speaker 10: done that by going the route of of them winning
- 2:03:45Speaker 10: by Broun pinning Roman. Yeah, now you've got the image
- 2:03:50Speaker 10: of seth Rawlins, newly crowned world heavyweight champion for the
- 2:03:55Speaker 10: second time, standing next to a guy who just got
- 2:03:58Speaker 10: a pin over Roman reigns. It'll be a little bit
- 2:04:05Speaker 10: of conflict of power dynamics there.
- 2:04:08Speaker 12: Hm.
- 2:04:10Speaker 2: So I think I think I think it worked out.
- 2:04:14Speaker 10: I think I think it worked out fine, especially considering
- 2:04:17Speaker 10: that they just you know, whoop Roman's fucking ass on Monday.
- 2:04:20Speaker 2: Again with no help.
- 2:04:25Speaker 3: They definitely got the heat fast right.
- 2:04:28Speaker 10: They got they got it right back, and I'm surprised
- 2:04:32Speaker 10: that there was no Jay involved. It's so it's the
- 2:04:36Speaker 10: few now about to be l a Knight see him
- 2:04:39Speaker 10: punk and Roman reigns taking on the vision.
- 2:04:46Speaker 2: That doesn't bode.
- 2:04:47Speaker 10: Well for JA because that seems to lead to me
- 2:04:50Speaker 10: to believe that they are going to go in fact,
- 2:04:52Speaker 10: with the plan of sending him over to SmackDown to
- 2:04:54Speaker 10: help out Jimmy and Jacob, which is cool for Jimmy
- 2:04:58Speaker 10: and Jacob, but not the best for JA unless they
- 2:05:01Speaker 10: really book him as the being the strongest of the
- 2:05:03Speaker 10: three and he's the hero that makes that Hee makes
- 2:05:06Speaker 10: all the difference.
- 2:05:08Speaker 2: I don't know, We'll see, We'll see.
- 2:05:13Speaker 8: We're going to do week Night number two next week,
- 2:05:18Speaker 8: so it gives people listeners a nice amount of time
- 2:05:22Speaker 8: to have space, you know, in between two episodes. Also,
- 2:05:26Speaker 8: if you guys want to go back and rewatch Night two,
- 2:05:29Speaker 8: then we can be more in depth with it. So
- 2:05:34Speaker 8: that's all I got though, man for the night one
- 2:05:39Speaker 8: trade you want to plug anything?
- 2:05:43Speaker 10: Nothing as always Instagram dot com, slash PCW podcast.
- 2:05:50Speaker 8: Cool doll.
- 2:05:54Speaker 11: Yeah, I'm just in the discord and if you watch
- 2:05:57Speaker 11: again the Facebook page of like it's PCW podcasts grassy
- 2:06:03Speaker 11: cool cool.
- 2:06:04Speaker 8: Uh yeah, I got nothing, but uh, I guess I'll
- 2:06:08Speaker 8: play this out here we go burn.
- 2:06:11Speaker 3: It d.
- 2:06:17Speaker 8: See you.
- 2:06:21Speaker 2: You are the world's dumbest sign up A bit the
- 2:06:28Speaker 2: fact that day.
- 2:06:29Speaker 9: In and day out, for almost six years, I improved
- 2:06:32Speaker 9: everybody in the world that I am the best on
- 2:06:35Speaker 9: this microphone and in that break and given a commentary,
- 2:06:39Speaker 9: nobody can touch me.
- 2:06:41Speaker 4: You are not plan it f.
- 2:06:46Speaker 11: It's because the street puppets and we watch the stuff your.
- 2:06:53Speaker 5: Yes, talk about your songs, talk about John three sixteen

- 2:07:21Speaker 5: this year, welcome to the covin Owen Show. Lately, he

- 2:07:33Speaker 4: Because I'm know this and I'm oh so.
- 2:07:44Speaker 2: Those rotten fastest.
- 2:07:51Speaker 4: Bye bye. Bit's
