- 0:39Speaker 2: That's it. This is it for now. We never know
- 0:42Speaker 2: if we're getting renewed, but this is our final episode.
- 0:44Speaker 2: I hate living like this before. It's hey, welcome to
- 0:46Speaker 2: the life of a television show. It's like a homeless person,
- 0:49Speaker 2: even though it's not. You're like, oh, I gotta leave today.
- 0:51Speaker 3: OK. I know, so we're here. We got a lot
- 0:54Speaker 3: to talk about. Kickoff.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Kevin is not able to be here, but he sent
- 0:58Speaker 2: me his tittle tattle question that just where is he?
- 1:01Speaker 2: I don't know, but I texted him. I think he's
- 1:03Speaker 2: at like a wedding.
- 1:04Speaker 4: Do you know he's in Cabo Cabo?
- 1:07Speaker 3: Gotta be a wedding or something because that party.
- 1:09Speaker 5: Maybe it's a bachelor party?
- 1:11Speaker 3: Is it? He missed the last episode for a bachelor party.
- 1:16Speaker 3: I literally thought it was a wedding. Wow, maybe he
- 1:18Speaker 3: told you it was a wedding.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Maybe he did. Maybe it was like it's for a wedding.
- 1:22Speaker 2: So hey, you know what, whatever, read's leaving?
- 1:24Speaker 3: Kick off? What everyone crips? Who gives a crap? Last
- 1:28Speaker 3: ten tittle? Let's go the Tonlets kick up.
- 1:37Speaker 2: I'm gonna ask you the question that I'll answer it
- 1:39Speaker 2: after you.
- 1:40Speaker 3: You got it.
- 1:41Speaker 2: After winning their sixth title since nineteen ninety nine, where
- 1:43Speaker 2: do you rank Yukon in terms of men's basketball programs?
- 1:46Speaker 3: Oh? Number one? Uh no, no, no men's programs. But back
- 1:49Speaker 3: it up, back it up, like like I would say, overall, overall,
- 1:53Speaker 3: I would put him in the top five.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Okay, I'm not holding you to it forever because you
- 1:59Speaker 2: didn't know the question. Yeah, yeah, number one in your mind.
- 2:02Speaker 3: Number one I think still belongs to just your mind.
- 2:06Speaker 2: If it's factually data isn't perfect, that's okay. What comes
- 2:10Speaker 2: to mind is the best program of all time.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Powerhouses. I would go Duke okay, although they're just the
- 2:15Speaker 3: future doesn't look bright for them, but powerhouses.
- 2:17Speaker 2: So Duke has five total national championship.
- 2:21Speaker 3: Boy, I'm gonna look like an idiotot.
- 2:24Speaker 2: No, because it's not an idiot question. I just wonder
- 2:26Speaker 2: where your mind goes h. Duke has a total of five.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Yukon has six. Now, yeah, they've won six. That's nineteen
- 2:33Speaker 2: eighty nine. So you put Duke at one.
- 2:37Speaker 3: Go ahead, put Duke at one. I'd also throw in
- 2:39Speaker 3: Michigan State in there.
- 2:40Speaker 2: They're not even in near the really as far as
- 2:43Speaker 2: titles go now, but they do have a very famous coach.
- 2:46Speaker 2: I mean, is a been there. He's who you think
- 2:49Speaker 2: of when you think of big programs. Kansas okay, always
- 2:52Speaker 2: up there. Kansas has four. Go ahead, Where do you
- 2:58Speaker 2: put Yukon in that mix?
- 2:59Speaker 3: Yeah? Oh, for where do you put them in that?
- 3:01Speaker 3: I would have put you without even knowing the number
- 3:03Speaker 3: of championships, I would have put them at three, so
- 3:06Speaker 3: I would go.
- 3:08Speaker 2: I would have probably put Kentucky at one in UCLA
- 3:12Speaker 2: at two. But then you would have told me the
- 3:14Speaker 2: real championships and I would switch that. Yeah, So just
- 3:16Speaker 2: so you know, I would have put Kentucky at one.
- 3:19Speaker 3: They have eight.
- 3:20Speaker 2: UCLA has eleven, but so much of that's like the
- 3:22Speaker 2: John Wooden era US. Sure we didn't get to experience
- 3:25Speaker 2: any of that, but some of the Kentucky's like rup
- 3:27Speaker 2: Ucla was also was that also Kareem but no it
- 3:33Speaker 2: was lou Al Sender Louis Yes changed in the NBA. Right,
- 3:36Speaker 2: So UCLA has eleven, Kentucky has eight, North Carolina has six. Wow,
- 3:42Speaker 2: Duke has five, Kansas has four. If I were ranking again,
- 3:46Speaker 2: it's all perception based, right, Ucla, Kentucky, North Carolina, Duke
- 3:52Speaker 2: in Kansas all above Yukon.
- 3:55Speaker 3: And then Yukon.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Indiana to me hasn't been good ever for a long
- 4:00Speaker 2: long time. I don't remember them being like national champion
- 4:03Speaker 2: good Bobby Knight, Yeah, but when did he win a
- 4:05Speaker 2: championship when I was four?
- 4:06Speaker 3: Eighties? Again, I don't remember that, Mike. I just remember
- 4:11Speaker 3: him throwing chairs. That very famous. That was cool.
- 4:14Speaker 2: But I think you remember watching it as a clip, Yeah,
- 4:16Speaker 2: actually happening.
- 4:17Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, well you see.
- 4:18Speaker 2: The last year Indiana won national championship because it fits
- 4:21Speaker 2: in the eighties, I've only been told how good Indiana
- 4:27Speaker 2: was at one point. Yeah, we didn't experience that, but
- 4:29Speaker 2: I know coach Smart hit the game winner like ninety
- 4:32Speaker 2: one or something.
- 4:33Speaker 3: What was that?
- 4:33Speaker 4: Well, we won five last one with eighty seven.
- 4:36Speaker 3: Okay, that was that going with those Coach Smart who
- 4:38Speaker 3: hit that shot? But it was seven?
- 4:40Speaker 2: Is coach Smart still with Arkansas? Funny thing is when
- 4:43Speaker 2: I was on campus, I saw him.
- 4:44Speaker 4: Says the first year with branch m McCracken.
- 4:48Speaker 3: That's a prank call name. And then later the branch
- 4:51Speaker 3: for kracking here branch, the branch here brance for kracking,
- 4:53Speaker 3: franch for cracking.
- 4:55Speaker 4: The three others were Bob Knight.
- 4:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:57Speaker 2: So I don't remember Indiana ever being a national champion.
- 5:00Speaker 2: It's not like I was seven. I was sit in
- 5:02Speaker 2: front of the TV, going, let's watch some NCAA basketball twelve.
- 5:05Speaker 2: I was a year older than you, so clearly I
- 5:06Speaker 2: remember that. We just remember being told yea that they
- 5:10Speaker 2: were good. Next up, wait, hold on, back, back up.
- 5:13Speaker 2: You saw coach Smart. Yeah, he was on campus and
- 5:16Speaker 2: he was talking to the ad hunter Yurochek, and I
- 5:20Speaker 2: was walking over to go just shoot and get a workout.
- 5:23Speaker 3: It in the basketball and the.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Practice gym, because there's the arena, which we got to
- 5:29Speaker 2: play in luckily, but there's also the practice gym where
- 5:31Speaker 2: they have practice, and so I was like, Hey, can
- 5:33Speaker 2: I go and work out and do something? And so
- 5:35Speaker 2: I just called one of my friends works at the university.
- 5:37Speaker 2: He's like, yeah, it's walking over to the practice gym and
- 5:39Speaker 2: I see the ad and Coach Smart, who was Mus's
- 5:43Speaker 2: main guy, standing there by the doors I need to
- 5:45Speaker 2: walk through, and I do not want to walk by
- 5:47Speaker 2: them because I don't want to have the conversation and
- 5:49Speaker 2: caliperiod already.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Been hired.
- 5:51Speaker 2: And that press conference had happened and it was like
- 5:53Speaker 2: the day before, and so I just didn't go work out.
- 5:56Speaker 3: I just walked down to the Soft office. I surning around.
- 5:58Speaker 3: I just didn't.
- 5:59Speaker 2: I didn't even go because I don't want to like
- 6:00Speaker 2: have to pop in there. Yeah it's weird, but I
- 6:01Speaker 2: asked He's like, why is coach Smart like still here?
- 6:05Speaker 2: Is he not going to go be a Mussa's staff.
- 6:07Speaker 2: And I don't think the person who answered my question
- 6:09Speaker 2: knew fully, but he was like, I think he was
- 6:11Speaker 2: like interviewed for like a Fresno State job. And then
- 6:14Speaker 2: also someone has to run it until Cali Perry comes in.
- 6:17Speaker 3: And is that how it works? Mostly when you take
- 6:19Speaker 3: the head coach position. You you have your staff that you.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Bring with Calip Perrys taken basically his entire staff.
- 6:25Speaker 3: Wow.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Yeah, so don't know, Indiana, don't know what coach Mark's
- 6:30Speaker 2: up to. Saw him on campus. Thought it was so
- 6:32Speaker 2: awkward that I didn't even want to coach Mart's awesome,
- 6:35Speaker 2: Like we went in his office.
- 6:36Speaker 3: Great guy, head coach, NBA head coach for a while too. Yeah,
- 6:39Speaker 3: and you get the idea when someone wants you out
- 6:41Speaker 3: of their office. He didn't give us. He didn't give
- 6:43Speaker 3: me that that vibe. He gives the idea, will you
- 6:44Speaker 3: please stay for a long time? Sit down?
- 6:47Speaker 2: Next question, viewership numbers. We're struggling. Is Yukon's dominance these
- 6:52Speaker 2: last two years bad for basketball as a whole? So
- 6:55Speaker 2: I looked at the numbers of both. Because the women's
- 7:00Speaker 2: championship had a bigger star, That's why the women's game
- 7:05Speaker 2: outdrew the men's games. Sure, the women's game also was
- 7:08Speaker 2: in the daytime. Well normally isn't what a time that
- 7:11Speaker 2: would draw the most fewers. But Kayln Clark is the
- 7:13Speaker 2: biggest basketball star in college period, and people are drawn
- 7:16Speaker 2: to stars.
- 7:17Speaker 3: And you have your numbers too, right like that exists,
- 7:19Speaker 3: like the numbers of people watching March Madness. But then
- 7:22Speaker 3: when you throw in women's basketball, where you have someone
- 7:25Speaker 3: like me who never watches women's basketball, but now here's
- 7:28Speaker 3: about Kaitlyn Clark and how good it is, so I
- 7:31Speaker 3: start watching it, and you're adding more people to the
- 7:34Speaker 3: women's that would normally already watch March Madness men's.
- 7:38Speaker 2: That doesn't make a lot of sense really, because then
- 7:40Speaker 2: it would just be if every single person watched who did,
- 7:42Speaker 2: and it would just be even.
- 7:45Speaker 3: No, because we so say, like you and me, say
- 7:47Speaker 3: we're the stamp what do you call it? The research sample?
- 7:51Speaker 3: Oka say, you and I we watched men's basketball, March
- 7:54Speaker 3: Madness all through March, right, we do it every year,
- 7:56Speaker 3: we watch the championship game. That's just what we do.
- 7:59Speaker 3: We normally don't watch women's basketball, but because of Caitlyn
- 8:02Speaker 3: Clark and what's been going on over there, we watched it,
- 8:05Speaker 3: and more women that have already watched that, that probably
- 8:09Speaker 3: don't watch men's basketball are watching that as well.
- 8:13Speaker 2: I don't know that that and that's a wonderful theory.
- 8:17Speaker 3: Hey came up with it yesterday.
- 8:18Speaker 2: No, I don't mind it. It's literally just there are
- 8:23Speaker 2: no stars really and men's basketball, because nobody stays if
- 8:25Speaker 2: you're a star, yeah, if you're really good freshman sophomore,
- 8:29Speaker 2: you go to the NBA the three four year get
- 8:31Speaker 2: to know them type of athletes, which Kaitlin Clark has been.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Let's say we were all put onto her early last year.
- 8:38Speaker 2: If you didn't already know about her because she's a junior, sure,
- 8:41Speaker 2: so you've been able to invest time with her, so
- 8:44Speaker 2: you had. I just don't think there's a bunch of
- 8:48Speaker 2: just random women who are like, we're just gonna watch
- 8:50Speaker 2: the women's and that's all. I think it's mostly people
- 8:54Speaker 2: going who's got the biggest star, Let's go watch Kaitlin Clark.
- 8:57Speaker 2: But it's the men's game was lower than the women's.
- 9:01Speaker 2: But I don't know that I would totally put it
- 9:02Speaker 2: on the men's game. I give it to Caitlin Clark
- 9:05Speaker 2: for being the biggest star.
- 9:07Speaker 3: That's a good way to answer that. Because I still
- 9:09Speaker 3: thought that Yukon and Purdue would be a good matchup,
- 9:12Speaker 3: like I thought it would be closer than it actually was,
- 9:14Speaker 3: but nobody knows.
- 9:16Speaker 2: I mean, Zach Edie would be an example of somebody
- 9:18Speaker 2: because he was a two time Player of the Year.
- 9:21Speaker 2: But in college basketball, nobody knows the players because they
- 9:27Speaker 2: don't stay if they're good. Sure, and we like stars
- 9:30Speaker 2: in every sport. That's why rarely is there a team
- 9:35Speaker 2: that we follow that everybody follows and there's not a
- 9:37Speaker 2: major star on that team.
- 9:39Speaker 3: Boy, and we like stars.
- 9:40Speaker 2: That's that's the whole American culture.
- 9:42Speaker 3: It Yeah, So.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Is it bad for basketball. No, I think it's awesome
- 9:47Speaker 2: for women's basketball. It'll show you that you just get
- 9:49Speaker 2: somebody out there that is transcendent. People will watch after
- 9:54Speaker 2: a disappointing season because you see Giannis go down it
- 9:56Speaker 2: was non contact injury.
- 9:57Speaker 3: I didn't see it, no.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Good. It was a calf thing and they're calling it
- 10:02Speaker 2: day to day. So the question that Kevin had asked,
- 10:06Speaker 2: what's the Bucks ceiling in the playoffs? Looked up the
- 10:09Speaker 2: record there and I liked with the record, not because
- 10:12Speaker 2: of this, but I think they're they've won almost fifty games.
- 10:15Speaker 2: They're like fifteen or sixteen games over five hundred and
- 10:19Speaker 2: maybe off of a couple games there, but they honest
- 10:20Speaker 2: thing was scary because when he went down, he grabbed
- 10:22Speaker 2: his leg. He like sat on the court. But the
- 10:26Speaker 2: fact they're saying it's day to day. I would not
- 10:29Speaker 2: play him for days. I'd rather go in as a
- 10:32Speaker 2: four and have to play the five, then go in
- 10:36Speaker 2: as a two with a Nick deep Giannis. They're fourteen
- 10:41Speaker 2: games behind the Celtics in the East. That's how the Celtics.
- 10:45Speaker 2: They're awesome. Drew Holliday just signed a new deal. Possibly
- 10:50Speaker 2: the best guard defensive player in the NBA, I mean
- 10:56Speaker 2: just defensively, probably Wimby or seven footer there now plays
- 11:01Speaker 2: with the Timberwolves. That was with the freaking Jazz. Uh huh,
- 11:04Speaker 2: Rudy Gobert, thank you, but Gobert has no offense. But
- 11:08Speaker 2: Joe Hollis had a big deal. It was a few years,
- 11:10Speaker 2: like a bunch of money.
- 11:11Speaker 3: Oh, he's so scrappy. It's awesome.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Following the first round, what's more likely to happen Bryson
- 11:17Speaker 2: falls out of the top ten or Tiger climbs into
- 11:19Speaker 2: the top ten. Bryson looking yesterday, Bryson was like heads
- 11:23Speaker 2: and shoulders. I haven't looked at all this morning because
- 11:25Speaker 2: we did the radio show first. Bryson was like three
- 11:28Speaker 2: or four strokes above the second place person.
- 11:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I think Shuffler's in the lead.
- 11:33Speaker 2: Now Tiger when the day currently was at minus one,
- 11:36Speaker 2: but I don't think he finishes full round.
- 11:38Speaker 3: He finished eventually finished his full round and today and today,
- 11:41Speaker 3: and he ended at plus one after like twenty holes, yes,
- 11:44Speaker 3: after eighteen holes. Got it?
- 11:47Speaker 2: So he hasn't started his second round, which will be today, correct,
- 11:50Speaker 2: got it? Okay, so what do you think? I don't
- 11:54Speaker 2: think Tiger gets in the top ten. But you are
- 11:55Speaker 2: all hateful about Tiger and I even making the cut. You
- 11:58Speaker 2: were like, is not gonna make the cut? That talker
- 12:00Speaker 2: to make the cut just because you told me? Did
- 12:01Speaker 2: you bet in Yeah? Okay, good, I took the he
- 12:03Speaker 2: will miss the cut. Oh yeah, I'm sure it did.
- 12:07Speaker 3: That's kind of a douche thing to do. Ah, man,
- 12:09Speaker 3: it was the favorite that he would miss the cut.
- 12:11Speaker 3: He would miss the cut at minus one fifteen. Maybe
- 12:15Speaker 3: it shifted a bit, oh really?
- 12:16Speaker 2: Oh yeah, probably it was about but minus one fifteen's
- 12:20Speaker 2: about it, even though that's close to you.
- 12:21Speaker 3: Think it was like minus one fifteen to minus one
- 12:24Speaker 3: oh five? Yeah, I should look.
- 12:25Speaker 2: And I did bet Tiger to make the cuts, only
- 12:28Speaker 2: because you're a jerk.
- 12:29Speaker 3: That's all, all right? That is the tittle tattle name
- 12:34Speaker 3: the Tittle Tattle came.
- 12:39Speaker 2: Twenty five whistles presented by draft Kig sports book and
- 12:42Speaker 2: official sports Betted partner of the NFL. It sounds like
- 12:45Speaker 2: I'm a broadcaster or have a cold, a little bit
- 12:47Speaker 2: of both. Download the draft kegs up. Dude, you have
- 12:51Speaker 2: the ton to listen to me. What do you know
- 12:55Speaker 2: who that is reading?
- 12:56Speaker 5: Yeah? Uh oh boy, I did know it.
- 13:01Speaker 3: Dare you at that time to be why, oh my
- 13:05Speaker 3: god about nothing and everything all that?
- 13:08Speaker 5: What?
- 13:12Speaker 3: Why would you ask the question? Just say it? It's
- 13:14Speaker 3: like when we goes. You know, I was gonna ask
- 13:16Speaker 3: and then he asks. I don't know why I do
- 13:18Speaker 3: that all the time. He's like, you know, I was
- 13:20Speaker 3: gonna ask and then he asked. I was gonna ask.
- 13:23Speaker 3: I just ask, you know, just ask.
- 13:26Speaker 2: Uh So DraftKings app get it. Use the code Bobby
- 13:29Speaker 2: sports to get them on the action. We're talking about
- 13:32Speaker 2: NBA basketball.

- 13:33Speaker 2: We got here's my my, my final parlay of the season,
- 13:37Speaker 2: and unless we get renewed, I'm counting on this one.
- 13:39Speaker 3: Uh. They're in Golden State.
- 13:41Speaker 2: I got Warriors money line over the Pelicans.
- 13:45Speaker 3: Boom.
- 13:46Speaker 2: They're in Cleveland. I got Calves money line over the
- 13:48Speaker 2: Pacers Boom. That's rude, but okay, it's money. I get it.
- 13:53Speaker 3: It's business because we went there.
- 13:55Speaker 2: It's not hard and I got and the Suns are
- 13:58Speaker 2: five and a half point favorites at Sacramento. I'm going
- 14:02Speaker 2: Suns money line at Kings with three money lines here
- 14:05Speaker 2: we got Calves, Warriors and Sons Boom.
- 14:09Speaker 3: You get your smiles there.

- 14:24Speaker 2: New York called eight seven seven eight Hope and Why
- 14:26Speaker 2: or text ope and wy four six seven three sixty nine.
- 14:32Speaker 2: I made a list of things to talk about because
- 14:34Speaker 2: I knew this is our last show.
- 14:36Speaker 3: I wanted to get it all out there. Yeah, come on,
- 14:38Speaker 3: what do you want to.
- 14:38Speaker 2: Know about the Caliperi thing? Because we've talked about it
- 14:40Speaker 2: a little bit. I really didn't want to un date
- 14:43Speaker 2: you with Arkansas stuff when it's it's a pretty national story.
- 14:46Speaker 3: Now that's a big story, dude. So I was there.
- 14:50Speaker 2: We were going to go at a lecture. This is
- 14:52Speaker 2: the worst timing ever. I was there for three days,
- 14:55Speaker 2: and in those three days, which had been scheduled months ago,
- 14:58Speaker 2: I was going to go and teach five classes, do
- 15:01Speaker 2: some meetings, do some picture stuff for the university. I
- 15:07Speaker 2: was awarded a medal.
- 15:08Speaker 3: What do you mean for like a magazine? Like, what
- 15:10Speaker 3: do you mean? Picture stuff for the university.
- 15:12Speaker 2: We went to because they have the walk, the senior Walk,
- 15:14Speaker 2: where they engrave your name. Everybody graduates gets your name
- 15:17Speaker 2: and graved in this. Oh I'd never seen mine, so
- 15:19Speaker 2: I went. We took a picture at it, and they
- 15:21Speaker 2: brought their photographer out and they took pictures at the
- 15:23Speaker 2: ward ceremony where the game of the medal. So all
- 15:27Speaker 2: this was scheduled forever ago. Well must leaves Cali Perry
- 15:31Speaker 2: gets announced. And that was just a wild time. And
- 15:35Speaker 2: my final of the trip was a lecture at six pm.
- 15:39Speaker 2: But three hundred people were coming to the lecture, not
- 15:41Speaker 2: a class. Anybody could come in the other times it
- 15:43Speaker 2: was classes that I was speaking to. The lecture was
- 15:45Speaker 2: scheduled for six pm on Wednesday, They're like, Okay, the
- 15:48Speaker 2: cal press conference is gonna be six pm on Wednesday.
- 15:50Speaker 3: Oh boy, see you lecture cut couldn't do that, so
- 15:56Speaker 3: you had to do it. Well.
- 15:58Speaker 2: The weather was getting really bad and the university flew
- 16:02Speaker 2: me to Arkansas and back on their jet and they
- 16:07Speaker 2: were like, if we don't leave early, you're gonna have
- 16:11Speaker 2: to miss doing your lecture. You will not be able
- 16:14Speaker 2: to get home tonight at all. And I had to
- 16:16Speaker 2: do the radio show obviously the next morning, and so
- 16:18Speaker 2: we had to leave it.
- 16:19Speaker 5: Like four read We left like four thirty I think.
- 16:22Speaker 2: So didn't get to do the lecture. They had to
- 16:24Speaker 2: send a note out going sorry, we had to cancel
- 16:26Speaker 2: a lecture. I know they all thought I went to
- 16:27Speaker 2: the press conference.
- 16:28Speaker 3: I know they did. I didn't.
- 16:30Speaker 2: I didn't go to the press conference because we had
- 16:31Speaker 2: to fly through a storm to get here. I land
- 16:34Speaker 2: in time to watch the press conference. And it's bizarre, dude, Yeah, yeah,
- 16:39Speaker 2: it's weird. I do want to ask you, is how
- 16:41Speaker 2: crazy is this?
- 16:42Speaker 3: It's crazy. It's weird and it's amazing, but it's just weird.
- 16:46Speaker 2: Like I was watching them teach Caliparira the hag call
- 16:48Speaker 2: how to do it right, and he's like, what the it?
- 16:51Speaker 3: I mean, he's seen it a million times. But that's
- 16:53Speaker 3: going to be so strange going into a culture that
- 16:55Speaker 3: you've never been a part of and learn everything. So weird.
- 16:58Speaker 3: It is, yeah, wildly bizarre.
- 17:00Speaker 2: And I also know a couple of things a gonna
- 17:02Speaker 2: happen that people from Arkants aren't used to.
- 17:05Speaker 3: Hopefully, if everything goes right, we will become the villain,
- 17:08Speaker 3: oh yeah, because everyone hates the winner. Because we will
- 17:10Speaker 3: win and we will get five star recruits. Yeah.
- 17:12Speaker 2: They gave him, you know, six seven million bucks a
- 17:15Speaker 2: year plus about a five million dollar in IOL budget,
- 17:18Speaker 2: which is more than most other coaches make. And that's
- 17:20Speaker 2: just in I owe money. If we win, we become
- 17:24Speaker 2: the bad guy. We've always been the guy that gets
- 17:27Speaker 2: beat up on, the under dog, the under hog.
- 17:30Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I do feel like he's got some left to prove.
- 17:36Speaker 2: He's really got oh yeah. And I feel like he
- 17:38Speaker 2: even admitted while he was at Kentucky that he has
- 17:40Speaker 2: to change because the one of done system is gone.
- 17:42Speaker 2: So I think we're catching him at a good time.
- 17:45Speaker 2: But it's it's it's weird. It's weird first, awesome second,
- 17:48Speaker 2: but I know, awesome is gonna overtake weird, but it's
- 17:50Speaker 2: very positive feeling.
- 17:51Speaker 3: Everybody's excited.
- 17:52Speaker 2: They gave a standing ovation to the John Tyson Tyson
- 17:55Speaker 2: chicken Yeah was he there, dude? He mentioned that John
- 17:59Speaker 2: Tyson was just mentioned at PEP rally. The entire arena
- 18:02Speaker 2: got up and gave him a standing ovation and they
- 18:03Speaker 2: started playing chicken fried over the top of a little
- 18:06Speaker 2: bit of chicken fry, and John Tyson's like, really going
- 18:09Speaker 2: to stand up?
- 18:09Speaker 3: Really? And John Tyson's an older guy. He's an old man.
- 18:12Speaker 3: How old is he? He looks seventy years old?
- 18:15Speaker 4: How old seventy.
- 18:16Speaker 3: Looks like he's about sixty vibrant.
- 18:19Speaker 4: Worth two point eight billion.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Ah, it's amazing, and he has him and Cali Parri
- 18:25Speaker 2: have a relationship, have had it forever. Steven's family has
- 18:29Speaker 2: also helped a bit, But John Tyson's the one like
- 18:32Speaker 2: he's our Santa Claus. And I've never seen the arena
- 18:37Speaker 2: give a stand I've never seen anybody give a standing
- 18:38Speaker 2: ovation to a booster, and they did.
- 18:43Speaker 3: Cry that's so crazy. It is awesome. You know your
- 18:46Speaker 3: your your stepdad Arkansas Keith. He texted me and I said,
- 18:49Speaker 3: are you He was like, how about this Cali Perry
- 18:52Speaker 3: this stuff? And I said, are you excited? He goes,
- 18:53Speaker 3: I'm actually worried. And I said, why are you worried? Crickets?
- 18:57Speaker 3: He never responded this is two days ago. I'm like,
- 19:00Speaker 3: are you okay? Arkansas? Teith? Yeah, clips got him. Why
- 19:02Speaker 3: would he be worried. I don't know.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Maybe he's worried like tickets go up or something, but
- 19:06Speaker 2: that's really how it happens.
- 19:08Speaker 3: Maybe it's a big change, man, Like it's like he said,
- 19:13Speaker 3: it's a big change. And I will tell you Like
- 19:15Speaker 3: my son, he my ten year old, he loves Arkansas,
- 19:18Speaker 3: like just mainly because of you and you know, all
- 19:21Speaker 3: the gear that we have at home, and he's just
- 19:24Speaker 3: adopted this culture of just like, yeah, I love Arkansas
- 19:26Speaker 3: and he likes to watch all the great time to
- 19:28Speaker 3: come in and dude, it's a perfect time for him
- 19:30Speaker 3: to be a fan. Oh and I tried caleff battle.
- 19:36Speaker 3: He wanted to know about that too. He said, hey,
- 19:39Speaker 3: cars in the portal? Can you not go in there?
- 19:42Speaker 3: Real quickly, he wasn't even there. I couldn't go in
- 19:43Speaker 3: the portal at all.
- 19:44Speaker 2: I didn't know what the whole was, so if he comes,
- 19:47Speaker 2: I have the card, but I didn't.
- 19:48Speaker 3: He wasn't there. It did make me think, like, Okay,
- 19:52Speaker 3: you leave because your coach is gone, you have no
- 19:55Speaker 3: idea what the team's gonna do. And then all of
- 19:57Speaker 3: a sudden, Calipari is your your new head coach. But
- 20:00Speaker 3: you've already entered the portal. Is there any way coming back?
- 20:03Speaker 2: Yes, But I think it's a sword because a lot
- 20:06Speaker 2: of players, when they get in the portal, significant of
- 20:09Speaker 2: them aren't. It's not because they want to get the portal.
- 20:11Speaker 2: It's because they're told that there's nowhere on the team
- 20:13Speaker 2: for them, so they should get in the portal.
- 20:15Speaker 3: They're not gonna play. I would say that wasn't his
- 20:17Speaker 3: case because there was no one in the roster.
- 20:19Speaker 2: My point is the coach can also dictate if he
- 20:22Speaker 2: if well use Klef as an example, and I don't
- 20:25Speaker 2: know either way, so it's not a real example. But
- 20:27Speaker 2: let's say he stayed on the team, Calipari I could
- 20:29Speaker 2: get in and be like Calibre. It's Calipiri, by the way,
- 20:32Speaker 2: I like, it's the real pronunciation.
- 20:34Speaker 3: You know what. It's a pair, like a pair. They
- 20:36Speaker 3: said that in the press conference and I'm like, what
- 20:37Speaker 3: an idiot, like, it's a r I I know, but
- 20:40Speaker 3: it's Caliperio. Okay, I know.
- 20:41Speaker 2: I'm working on saying because I would always say Calipari is
- 20:43Speaker 2: in Calamari. Yeah yeah, And I do like and I
- 20:46Speaker 2: hate it when they do like the little folksy stuff.
- 20:48Speaker 2: But I don't mind caw those hogs instead of call
- 20:49Speaker 2: those hogs cal those.
- 20:51Speaker 3: I doesn't mind that.
- 20:52Speaker 2: And usually it's pretty lame and they don't say, let's
- 20:54Speaker 2: caw those hogs.
- 20:55Speaker 3: But that was like the what they wrote those hogs. Yeah,
- 20:57Speaker 3: I though that was good.
- 20:58Speaker 2: I do.
- 20:58Speaker 3: I think the school's having so much fun with it,
- 21:00Speaker 3: and it's cool to see like they're having a blast,
- 21:02Speaker 3: even the press conference with like smoke and everything making
- 21:04Speaker 3: it look like well like a wrestler's coming out.
- 21:07Speaker 2: If Cayleff would have stayed on, Caliperray could have come
- 21:09Speaker 2: in and been like, hey, you need to go ahead
- 21:10Speaker 2: and go. The coach can also dictate who're on the team,
- 21:14Speaker 2: so I think there was we don't have a single
- 21:16Speaker 2: scholarship player on the team right now.
- 21:18Speaker 3: None. Everybody got in.
- 21:19Speaker 2: The portal and people were like, whoa, you should have
- 21:21Speaker 2: gotten into the portal. No, No, you probably should because
- 21:24Speaker 2: you didn't know who the coach was. You get it
- 21:25Speaker 2: earlier understanding of what's out there. Maybe you'll be invited.
- 21:29Speaker 2: But if you don't accept anything, you can still be
- 21:31Speaker 2: invited by the current coach, and if he comes and
- 21:34Speaker 2: doesn't want you, at least you've already got a heads
- 21:35Speaker 2: up and a leg toward your future.
- 21:37Speaker 3: I would have gotten the portal too, Yeah, that makes
- 21:39Speaker 3: sense if I.
- 21:40Speaker 2: Were them, so, but he was not there, so I
- 21:45Speaker 2: did not get it signed.
- 21:46Speaker 3: I did see the one player that was on the
- 21:48Speaker 3: roster there walk on like there's just one dude. Yeah,
- 21:52Speaker 3: so when do you meet coach? Like, when do you Honestly,
- 21:56Speaker 3: they offered him for this show exclusive.
- 22:00Speaker 2: It's not an exclusive. He's already done like four things. Okay,
- 22:02Speaker 2: forget that then, it's just we weren't able to stay for
- 22:06Speaker 2: the press conference. And I'm sure he's doing seven thousand
- 22:10Speaker 2: interviews saying the same thing in every interview because he's tired.
- 22:12Speaker 2: I've been in that situation too, where I'm it's like
- 22:15Speaker 2: a movie or a book, or like they do movies
- 22:19Speaker 2: or there's some sort of charity thing I'm doing where
- 22:20Speaker 2: you line up with like seventy TV stations back to back,
- 22:23Speaker 2: and you just start to say the same thing because
- 22:25Speaker 2: you're just tired. You forget what you've said in the
- 22:27Speaker 2: other interviews. And we don't even do big interviews on
- 22:30Speaker 2: the radio show if they're doing a press tour. And
- 22:33Speaker 2: so I didn't want to be a part of that
- 22:36Speaker 2: because we won't get the real version. I'd rather just
- 22:40Speaker 2: go and a couple months hang out because we're not
- 22:44Speaker 2: gonna get anything right now that isn't super controlled.
- 22:47Speaker 3: Are you excited to meet him? No?
- 22:50Speaker 2: No, I don't want to fly too close to the sun.
- 22:53Speaker 2: I've made the reference again where if I get too
- 22:56Speaker 2: involved and then I don't like somebody really sucks because
- 23:00Speaker 2: it's like my favorite thing in the whole world, and
- 23:03Speaker 2: I think I would like him, but you never know.
- 23:06Speaker 3: But I don't know, and I don't want to not.
- 23:08Speaker 2: It almost makes me want to to withdraw a bit
- 23:11Speaker 2: from it and just enjoy it as only a fan.
- 23:14Speaker 3: And that's what I did with Muss.
- 23:15Speaker 2: I didn't know Muss until like year two and a
- 23:16Speaker 2: half because I was like, I just want to be
- 23:19Speaker 2: a fan.
- 23:19Speaker 3: I don't want to lose that.
- 23:22Speaker 2: Because there were people like I'm glad I didn't know
- 23:24Speaker 2: Boby Petrina when he was the head coaching though he's
- 23:26Speaker 2: winning because people hate him that we were up there
- 23:28Speaker 2: to work with him.
- 23:29Speaker 3: For him, he's chilled a bit now, I believe.
- 23:31Speaker 2: But according to stories that I've heard, it was really
- 23:38Speaker 2: awful to work for. I wouldn't want to know that
- 23:41Speaker 2: while it was happening. What I like to know now
- 23:43Speaker 2: is that apparently he's chilled out a lot, has been humbled.
- 23:46Speaker 3: It's still great at his job, and it's rock and
- 23:49Speaker 3: rolling like that. That's what I want to know.
- 23:50Speaker 2: So I have no real interest in like being buds,
- 23:56Speaker 2: although I do. I've interested being buds if he's cool,
- 23:59Speaker 2: but I just don't want And I just don't know
- 24:00Speaker 2: if he's not cool or if he like Big Times me,
- 24:03Speaker 2: I wouldn't like that either. Yeah, so I just don't
- 24:07Speaker 2: I'm good. I'm a fan. I'm a fan first, of course.
- 24:10Speaker 2: I mean, that's what you've always been to Arkansa.
- 24:12Speaker 3: So I'm in first.
- 24:13Speaker 2: I just have more money to donate now, but I
- 24:16Speaker 2: don't ask for anything because with the money I donate
- 24:19Speaker 2: because I'm a fan, I for ever gets to the
- 24:20Speaker 2: point where it's like, well, I doing it too much money,
- 24:22Speaker 2: then I'm gonna stop donating.
- 24:24Speaker 3: Yeah, because I don't want to. I don't know. I
- 24:26Speaker 3: don't want that relationship. I know that does happen to
- 24:27Speaker 3: some people, Yeah, are doing it money. I don't.
- 24:31Speaker 2: I just don't want to get a conflict about it
- 24:32Speaker 2: because my favorite thing. I don't want to run him.
- 24:34Speaker 2: Pope's going to Kentucky, not the Pope. That's when I
- 24:36Speaker 2: saw you post that, I'm like, wow, the Pope.
- 24:38Speaker 3: Oh, I was only posting as a joke.
- 24:40Speaker 2: The Pope is going to get It's like their fifth, sixth,
- 24:43Speaker 2: seventh choice. Like the Kentucky was like, let's get count
- 24:45Speaker 2: Perry out of here, run them off, and they're like,
- 24:48Speaker 2: for sure, we're gonna get And they started going hurly
- 24:50Speaker 2: at Yukon Nope.
- 24:52Speaker 3: Yeah, Scott drew a Baylor Nope. Yeah. Who else? Did
- 24:57Speaker 3: they go to? Billy Donovan? He can't and nope.
- 25:02Speaker 2: I mean it's like they're fifth or sixth on the list.
- 25:05Speaker 2: But Pope played at Kentucky. Yeah, and he played. He
- 25:07Speaker 2: was a pretty coach at BYU.
- 25:09Speaker 3: Yeah, he was awesome. They had a great season.
- 25:10Speaker 2: He has I think he only has one year of
- 25:12Speaker 2: like major conference experience.
- 25:15Speaker 3: Yeah, theyk got seven mid major I know the fans.
- 25:18Speaker 2: I know. Matt Jones was like, if we hire Pope,
- 25:19Speaker 2: this is a terrible, terrible time. It's a disaster because
- 25:22Speaker 2: we have a ton of money.
- 25:24Speaker 3: All these guys should have said yes.
- 25:26Speaker 2: So I know that fan base isn't happy, but that
- 25:28Speaker 2: doesn't mean it's not going to turn out. Well, but
- 25:31Speaker 2: I know Kentucky likes a splash. I would consider them
- 25:34Speaker 2: the biggest most known blue blood to me, and you
- 25:40Speaker 2: don't hire somebody who's only had.
- 25:41Speaker 3: A year.
- 25:44Speaker 2: And Power four or five whatever conference play, you know,
- 25:47Speaker 2: Power whatever basketball is, especially with the conference.
- 25:51Speaker 3: Is going away as well.
- 25:51Speaker 2: But yeah, yeah, after being turned down, Kentucky is going
- 25:55Speaker 2: over to BYU's Mark Pope. Pope is a Kentucky graduate
- 25:58Speaker 2: nineteen ninety six, one a national title there, he's taken.
- 26:02Speaker 2: Maybe he's played, he's had two years of experience at BYU.
- 26:05Speaker 3: Well, he was the head coach at Utah Valles, so
- 26:08Speaker 3: let me sit here. Maybe he's had more than that.
- 26:10Speaker 2: Maybe I'm wrong about how many years he's had as
- 26:12Speaker 2: a coach, and I've been wrong before number the first time.
- 26:16Speaker 2: Maybe I just trod a tweet it's going to make
- 26:18Speaker 2: fun of them and took that as a gospel. Mike,
- 26:20Speaker 2: you may look at this. Always been there for five years. Okay,
- 26:23Speaker 2: so his five years a head coaching experience a BYuT
- 26:25Speaker 2: b Yu.
- 26:26Speaker 3: Yeah, he's gone one hundred and ten fifty too.
- 26:28Speaker 2: At Byu was the head coach at Utah Valley before
- 26:30Speaker 2: going seventy seven and fifty six and four years, so
- 26:32Speaker 2: he's had nine years coaching five major conference. Pope is
- 26:37Speaker 2: obviously really liked there, but I don't think they liked
- 26:39Speaker 2: him as the main dude, really, they don't.
- 26:42Speaker 3: They had other people they wanted. Scott Drew. The thought
- 26:44Speaker 3: they were getting Scott Drew. Yeah, they had the plane
- 26:47Speaker 3: in Louisville, Scott Drew.
- 26:49Speaker 2: They saw Taylor in Waco.
- 26:52Speaker 3: They saw No, they saw Scott Drew's plane in Louisville.
- 26:55Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I think he probably his fa like his
- 26:58Speaker 2: family was there, right, yes, even though he was yes, correct,
- 27:01Speaker 2: he was like a diner And they found that out
- 27:03Speaker 2: and they called the diner.
- 27:05Speaker 3: I get it.
- 27:06Speaker 2: But Natos said no before it was even a deal.
- 27:08Speaker 2: And NATO's came out before the job was officially open
- 27:11Speaker 2: and was like, hey, I load Alabama I'm looking to
- 27:13Speaker 2: go anywhere. Yeah, Natos is awesome. Jay Wright wouldn't come
- 27:17Speaker 2: out of retirement.
- 27:18Speaker 3: I saw even Bruce Pearl was considered.
- 27:21Speaker 2: And I think they would have liked to have hired
- 27:23Speaker 2: Bruce Pearl because it'd been a bigger splash.
- 27:25Speaker 3: I love Bruce Pearl. I'm glad Bruce Pearl didn't go
- 27:28Speaker 3: to Kentucky.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Imagine what he would do with that, right, he started
- 27:31Speaker 2: Auburn into a really consistently great team. Well, I would
- 27:35Speaker 2: say it really consistently really good team. But yeah, so
- 27:39Speaker 2: Pope's gonna go over there.
- 27:41Speaker 5: What's the longest a team can go without having a coach.
- 27:43Speaker 2: Well, the problem is you're losing recruits and not getting recruits.
- 27:46Speaker 3: You can go.
- 27:47Speaker 2: We mean, you could have waited another month, but it
- 27:49Speaker 2: hurts because you're not raising money. All the recruits are
- 27:51Speaker 2: going to wherever you lose all the recruiting from the
- 27:53Speaker 2: previous coach, you have nobody else going. It's a disaster
- 27:56Speaker 2: to leave it open for more than a couple of days.
- 27:59Speaker 5: It makes sense.
- 28:00Speaker 3: They're always working man all a year round.
- 28:03Speaker 2: I talked to an unnamed head coach. I'm only gonna
- 28:07Speaker 2: not name him because I don't want to. He probably
- 28:09Speaker 2: wouldn't care if I said who it was, but I'm
- 28:11Speaker 2: I talked to he's a head coach.
- 28:13Speaker 3: Who I am.
- 28:14Speaker 2: I wouldn't say friends with, but I'm buddies with more
- 28:16Speaker 2: than just acquaintances, meaning we'll text occasionally. And I asked
- 28:20Speaker 2: him about an iol. I said, what's is that all
- 28:23Speaker 2: you do? He said, it's all I do. It sucks.
- 28:26Speaker 2: He goes, if I didn't care about the kids, I
- 28:28Speaker 2: just wouldn't do this anymore. And he was comparing his
- 28:34Speaker 2: and I all to other schools in his conference, and
- 28:35Speaker 2: he's like, we're only we only have about half of
- 28:37Speaker 2: the money that these other schools have in the conference,
- 28:39Speaker 2: and like it's up to me to figure it out
- 28:41Speaker 2: how to get it.
- 28:42Speaker 3: And it's such a big part of what a head
- 28:44Speaker 3: coach does. Now, I mean, it's already hard enough to
- 28:46Speaker 3: be a head coach.
- 28:47Speaker 2: This is this is what I would do if I
- 28:49Speaker 2: were a program. And I don't know why schools haven't
- 28:54Speaker 2: done this, And I'm sure there's a good reason. I
- 28:57Speaker 2: would hire full time a and I'm gonna use the
- 29:01Speaker 2: word ambassador. I would hire a full time a celebrity
- 29:04Speaker 2: ambassador to go and raise money for you that people
- 29:07Speaker 2: think it's cool to be around.
- 29:09Speaker 3: So so what does that celebrity do?
- 29:12Speaker 2: Go raise money because people will think it's cool that
- 29:14Speaker 2: celebrity is just there, like the coach can do it
- 29:16Speaker 2: a little bit. But let's say they hired Let's say, uh,
- 29:20Speaker 2: where'd your John?
- 29:21Speaker 3: Where's your me?
- 29:22Speaker 2: Sam Houston State? John Houston State, Sam Houston John? So
- 29:25Speaker 2: let's say what to John Houston?
- 29:26Speaker 3: Right?
- 29:27Speaker 2: And Sam Houston was like, we're gonna hire a celebrity ambassador.
- 29:29Speaker 2: It's gonna be Eddie And like, oh my god, Eddie's
- 29:31Speaker 2: so famous. They hire you full time. And what you
- 29:33Speaker 2: do is you go around and people think is cool
- 29:35Speaker 2: that you come and talk and you raise money to
- 29:37Speaker 2: big boosters. Okay, and it's not like you're just going
- 29:39Speaker 2: as a random dude. You're going as a celebrity. Everybody
- 29:43Speaker 2: loves celebrities. Yeah, so like what celebrity? And but you know,
- 29:45Speaker 2: you either have to hire a celebrity has something to
- 29:47Speaker 2: do with your school, or hired like the biggest one
- 29:49Speaker 2: for your school, or hire a few of them. But
- 29:53Speaker 2: I think people like to give money when it makes
- 29:56Speaker 2: them feel special and cool. What's cooler than h Johnny Cash, Yeah,
- 30:01Speaker 2: cash for sure, Johnny Cash, Yeah, Billy Bob like John Daily. Sure,
- 30:07Speaker 2: there could be a little arsenal of them. And I
- 30:09Speaker 2: think you rate you have to pay him. Yeah, I
- 30:12Speaker 2: think you could really raise some money in that. I mean,
- 30:14Speaker 2: that's what I would do.
- 30:16Speaker 3: And so you raise all this money and your pot
- 30:18Speaker 3: is there and you say, hey, awesome basketball player, we
- 30:22Speaker 3: have this much money. Yeah.
- 30:23Speaker 2: So what happens is when someone goes into the portal,
- 30:26Speaker 2: especially one player specifically that I heard about wasn't in
- 30:30Speaker 2: Arkansas anything, but was at a school not this last
- 30:34Speaker 2: year of the year before, big time portal kid, And
- 30:36Speaker 2: I do no exact information, so I'll leave it vague.
- 30:39Speaker 2: Was making like that'd be a little bag here, not
- 30:43Speaker 2: six figures close in ile money, but it was a
- 30:46Speaker 2: big deal.
- 30:49Speaker 3: Opened up.
- 30:49Speaker 2: So I'm going to the portal surprised everybody because he's
- 30:51Speaker 2: an awesome player. His lowest offer, when again it was
- 30:56Speaker 2: almost six figures, his lowest offer immediately was half a
- 30:59Speaker 2: million dollars. Seeing he had offers for over a million
- 31:02Speaker 2: and a half dollars and that's all in IL money,
- 31:06Speaker 2: and you can offer whatever you want to offer, so and.
- 31:09Speaker 3: There's no cap on in I ol money first.
- 31:11Speaker 2: No, not yet, and you can donate whatever, like going
- 31:14Speaker 2: to get ugly. Yeah, well, there's gonna have to be
- 31:16Speaker 2: some regulation, but it's gonna have to be broken, broken,
- 31:19Speaker 2: broken before somebody steps here to fix it. But you
- 31:21Speaker 2: can raise as much as you want and do as
- 31:23Speaker 2: much as you want. What's really hard for like the
- 31:25Speaker 2: middle sports. Football makes the most money for programs he's
- 31:30Speaker 2: talking about, like track and field. Uh, sure, football makes
- 31:32Speaker 2: the most money. Basketball makes money a bit, and there
- 31:35Speaker 2: are outliers in this, but mostly football makes all the
- 31:37Speaker 2: money that sports. Almost everything else in basketball sometimes makes money,
- 31:40Speaker 2: and everything else they probably lose money. Football kind of
- 31:44Speaker 2: supports it all generally speaking. Yeah, But like softball, for example,
- 31:49Speaker 2: which with Patty coach Gaso being head coach at Oklahoma,
- 31:54Speaker 2: I've been exposed to just being around the softball culture
- 31:56Speaker 2: a bit in Oklahoma City a couple of times for
- 31:58Speaker 2: championships DA DA and now DJ coaches at Arkansas, Like
- 32:03Speaker 2: I got on yesterday and just donated ten thousand dollars
- 32:07Speaker 2: to the softball in IOL just so they can have
- 32:10Speaker 2: it in case they need to go. Okay, we want
- 32:14Speaker 2: to get this person in the portal. We want to
- 32:17Speaker 2: there are no you can I could have done it myself.
- 32:20Speaker 2: I could have just hired some you know, I could
- 32:22Speaker 2: have reached out and be like, hey like to hire
- 32:25Speaker 2: you for some and I or you can give it
- 32:27Speaker 2: to the like the organization which like the nil fund
- 32:31Speaker 2: it fund fund is that where the checks made out
- 32:33Speaker 2: to in il fund the like I've always worried.
- 32:37Speaker 3: That, you know, I can tell you how do we
- 32:38Speaker 3: make the checkouts?
- 32:39Speaker 2: You have the receipt right here.
- 32:44Speaker 3: That's a crazy world, man. So the receipt is with
- 32:49Speaker 3: like an egg plan on it.
- 32:52Speaker 2: It doesn't really I don't so there's no such thing
- 32:54Speaker 2: as a check right It's all digital.
- 32:55Speaker 3: It's credit card. So like, that's the receipt. You can
- 32:59Speaker 3: look at.
- 32:59Speaker 2: It and at the bottom it says you can put
- 33:01Speaker 2: it into general which they get to pick what they
- 33:03Speaker 2: do with it, or you can send it to basketball,
- 33:04Speaker 2: which I'm sure a lot of peoples doing, or football.
- 33:06Speaker 2: I was like, I clicked and scrolled, golled scrolls and
- 33:09Speaker 2: scrolled and did softball.
- 33:11Speaker 3: So this is the same as like donating to a charity. Yes,
- 33:14Speaker 3: just donating to in iol college athletics.
- 33:17Speaker 2: And with this, if they do their collective in a
- 33:21Speaker 2: proper way that what they do is they get the
- 33:24Speaker 2: athletes to do charity work. Yeah, to make the money.
- 33:28Speaker 2: So but yeah, so it's wild West.
- 33:30Speaker 3: It's crazy.
- 33:31Speaker 2: And I've you know, I when you and I did
- 33:32Speaker 2: the show and just donated all to inn IL. We
- 33:34Speaker 2: just sent it to the general at Arkansas. We sold
- 33:36Speaker 2: out the place in Arkansas to take all the money.
- 33:38Speaker 2: Never even touched us. It wasn't even a donation from us.
- 33:42Speaker 2: We just played the show and we said all the
- 33:44Speaker 2: money can go to INNIL and we'd let them handle
- 33:45Speaker 2: the ticket out it because it wasn't then it's not taxical,
- 33:48Speaker 2: it's nothing.
- 33:49Speaker 3: We're nothing.
- 33:50Speaker 2: We did all the raising and we know we're probably
- 33:53Speaker 2: able to donate thirty forty thousand dollars that night.
- 33:55Speaker 3: I'm not sure.
- 33:56Speaker 2: I didn't want to know because they didn't pay me,
- 33:59Speaker 2: The didn't pay you. That money was donated and hopefully
- 34:02Speaker 2: a bunch of kids do a bunch of charity work
- 34:03Speaker 2: because of that.
- 34:04Speaker 3: Please that'd be nice, dude. How does this affect pro sports?
- 34:07Speaker 3: Like when you go in for as in the past,
- 34:10Speaker 3: you go in the get signed to you know, you
- 34:12Speaker 3: get drafted by the NBA and you have a rookie contract,
- 34:17Speaker 3: but you're already making some good money, So now the
- 34:19Speaker 3: rookie contract is like, well, whoa, whoa whoaa, like that
- 34:21Speaker 3: could be maybe lesser.
- 34:23Speaker 2: Equal, definitely could be less. So it affects it in
- 34:26Speaker 2: two major ways. One, it will keep kids in college
- 34:28Speaker 2: a little longer. That we're kind of on. Maybe if
- 34:30Speaker 2: you're like a second round, mid second round where your
- 34:33Speaker 2: contract's not guaranteed at all, if you can make another
- 34:37Speaker 2: year of more INIL money, then you wait a year
- 34:39Speaker 2: and get the same contract, kids will stay in college longer.
- 34:43Speaker 2: You were already seeing that a bit within iol Secondly,
- 34:46Speaker 2: for kids that make a bunch of money, scouts or
- 34:54Speaker 2: executives at teams can already kind of see what money
- 34:57Speaker 2: does to them, which is a bonus because that would
- 34:59Speaker 2: never happened before. You would go from being a kid
- 35:02Speaker 2: who didn't have a lot of money or some money
- 35:04Speaker 2: under the table, but not consistent that you couldn't show
- 35:06Speaker 2: off because it was illegal. But like Caleb Williams made
- 35:09Speaker 2: five million bucks or so last year, he's gonna make
- 35:12Speaker 2: less money on a contract if they already know what
- 35:14Speaker 2: he He's already been exposed to that to have the
- 35:17Speaker 2: ability to buy whatever he wants and not go as crazy.
- 35:21Speaker 2: It was almost like if you're going from not making
- 35:24Speaker 2: any money to making a ton of money. It's like
- 35:26Speaker 2: homeschool kid going to college.
- 35:27Speaker 3: Sure they're gonna go eight they might, some of them do.
- 35:32Speaker 3: It's like a culture show. Some of them do. You're
- 35:33Speaker 3: gonna go for it.
- 35:34Speaker 2: And now it's a bit like you did junior college
- 35:37Speaker 2: for a couple of years. Absolutely so, or at least
- 35:40Speaker 2: a massive high school, right, right, a massive high school.
- 35:42Speaker 3: So the transition's pretty easy.
- 35:43Speaker 2: But there needs to be some regulations, but it's never
- 35:47Speaker 2: going to be regulated until it gets to the government officials,
- 35:50Speaker 2: and it's not broken enough for it to matter.
- 35:53Speaker 3: And the only way the government.
- 35:54Speaker 2: Ever fixes anything politicians is if they think it's going
- 35:56Speaker 2: to affect their voting, because they really don't care about people.
- 35:57Speaker 2: They just want to get reelected, generally speaking. But it's
- 36:01Speaker 2: a weird time. It's cool time.
- 36:02Speaker 3: It's a great time for Arcis have to be Arkansas
- 36:04Speaker 3: fans awesome, and it's almost playoff time in the NBA.
- 36:08Speaker 3: The NBA season is in full swing. I mean, it's
- 36:10Speaker 3: it's good. Now.
- 36:11Speaker 2: They're playing hard, Yeah, they're playing hard. They're playing hard.
- 36:15Speaker 2: And even if it's like I don't want to play
- 36:16Speaker 2: the defense, Yeah, they're playing defense.
- 36:19Speaker 3: You could Draft King sports Book. It's the perfect time.

- 37:22Speaker 2: so I have a list of things that I wanted
- 37:24Speaker 2: to get to. I'm gonna go down my list. First
- 37:26Speaker 2: of all, I have to go to the doctor today
- 37:28Speaker 2: because I think I even maybe mildly tore my rotator
- 37:32Speaker 2: cot oh boy, and I think I first injured it.
- 37:37Speaker 2: And the episode it's not out yet unless we've showed
- 37:40Speaker 2: it on the maybe just the TV show.
- 37:41Speaker 3: Here are we showing Oklahoma State? Yes? Too much access? Yes?
- 37:46Speaker 3: Is it this week? Was it last week?
- 37:49Speaker 4: Is that week?
- 37:49Speaker 3: Yeah? Okay? So the episode this week?
- 37:52Speaker 2: I remember hurting my arm, but mostly it felt okay, went,
- 37:57Speaker 2: but it hurts for like three weeks. Do you think
- 37:59Speaker 2: you did this during softball? I know I did softball
- 38:01Speaker 2: or baseball. I just know we I threw a lot
- 38:03Speaker 2: while I was there because we did two different episodes,
- 38:08Speaker 2: and so they went to Arkansas. I was just hurting
- 38:10Speaker 2: me the whole time, whole time, and I threw the
- 38:12Speaker 2: first pitch. Felt a little bit, but I didn't throw
- 38:15Speaker 2: it that hard. You can see me. I'm on the
- 38:17Speaker 2: mound at the baseball game. I wasn't even gonna get.
- 38:20Speaker 3: On the mound. You're gonna do it, You're gonna do it, right.
- 38:23Speaker 3: I don't believe in that, because if they don't, if
- 38:24Speaker 3: you don't tell them you want to go on the mountain,
- 38:26Speaker 3: they put you right in front of the plate.
- 38:28Speaker 2: For like a there's pitch. There's no win in the
- 38:31Speaker 2: first pitch. I'm telling you, if you throw it great,
- 38:33Speaker 2: nobody gives a crap. You thought it wrong. Every it
- 38:35Speaker 2: makes funny forever and it exists.
- 38:37Speaker 3: But dude, when you're up there.
- 38:38Speaker 2: But I was up there and I was like, I
- 38:40Speaker 2: can get it there and look pretty good.
- 38:41Speaker 3: So I threw it. It's up on my Instagram. Mister Bobby Bones,
- 38:43Speaker 3: look what you do. Fastball.
- 38:45Speaker 2: But you looked at you'd probably think change up. But
- 38:47Speaker 2: it was fastball. That's a nice change.
- 38:51Speaker 3: That's a big slur, big slow curve.
- 38:53Speaker 2: No, no, no, that was the heat but ma I
- 38:55Speaker 2: was like, man, I kind of feel that in my arm,
- 38:57Speaker 2: Like if you take your shoulder and you put your
- 38:59Speaker 2: arms at your sides, that very outside of your.
- 39:02Speaker 3: Shoulder, yep, like all down that joint. It just feels
- 39:06Speaker 3: like fire.
- 39:07Speaker 2: So the next day we had planned to go work
- 39:08Speaker 2: out with softball and I did, and I threw a
- 39:12Speaker 2: lot and it just kills and everything I've looked up
- 39:16Speaker 2: and researches in the exact spot rotator cut. It doesn't
- 39:19Speaker 2: feel like it needs to be rubbed where it's like
- 39:21Speaker 2: something that's like sore. So I have a doctor appointment
- 39:24Speaker 2: like forty five minutes and he's like, I bet you
- 39:26Speaker 2: have an injured rotator cuff. So what if it's like
- 39:28Speaker 2: a whole surgery deal, then that will suck. If my
- 39:31Speaker 2: shoulder is so bad, we won't be able to go
- 39:34Speaker 2: to Arizona.
- 39:35Speaker 3: That's not good. I know.
- 39:37Speaker 5: I feel like most of the time you have to
- 39:38Speaker 5: get surgery to fix that.
- 39:40Speaker 3: Raid's dad had it. Really, how do you hurt his?
- 39:43Speaker 5: I think his was.
- 39:44Speaker 6: I mean, he grew up playing baseball and I think
- 39:46Speaker 6: it's always yeah, and then he got in a car
- 39:49Speaker 6: wreck and it kind of shelted it.
- 39:50Speaker 3: How much baseball did you play? You play all the
- 39:52Speaker 3: way to senior year. Oh, high school a lot. But
- 39:54Speaker 3: I never heard it because I could I couldn't throw
- 39:55Speaker 3: that hard anyway.
- 39:56Speaker 2: I was just like a it was a good first baseman,
- 40:00Speaker 2: didn't hit for power, so never never was gonna play
- 40:03Speaker 2: college baseball. But I was a good I have all
- 40:06Speaker 2: my trophies, all district, all region. Brought him out for
- 40:08Speaker 2: my wife and I was like, oh, I found him.
- 40:09Speaker 2: I didn't know I had them. I have, Like I
- 40:11Speaker 2: was All Defensive Player of the Year in the conference.
- 40:13Speaker 3: Like all this stuff. Wow, dude. So it was a
- 40:15Speaker 3: pretty good baseball player.
- 40:16Speaker 2: But and I pitched like it's the fourth pitcher, but
- 40:19Speaker 2: only because I was left handed.
- 40:20Speaker 3: But I couldn't throw hard enough to even hurt my arm.
- 40:22Speaker 2: Yeah, so I never had arm issues, but now it's
- 40:24Speaker 2: because I've not thrown it.
- 40:25Speaker 3: We've never what are we thrown?
- 40:26Speaker 2: And we just hop on a film start chunking just
- 40:28Speaker 2: on screen.
- 40:29Speaker 3: Yeah, random week we go to a school and play.
- 40:31Speaker 2: So I had to go to the doctor today get
- 40:33Speaker 2: some imaging one on my shoulder. The Tani situation clear,
- 40:38Speaker 2: Yeah he's clear.
- 40:40Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean doesn't look it just doesn't look like
- 40:45Speaker 3: he would be clear, but it'd be clear him. He's clear. Yeah,
- 40:49Speaker 3: it kind of just it kind of.
- 40:50Speaker 2: Was like, here's all the things that happened, and it
- 40:53Speaker 2: looks like he's good. M So federal prosecutors put out
- 40:57Speaker 2: the complaint against his former and Herbert or I'm not
- 41:00Speaker 2: going to attempt his name. Oh yeah, I don't worry
- 41:02Speaker 2: about it. We know who you're talking about. We'll just
- 41:04Speaker 2: call him miss that's the first three letters of his name.
- 41:07Speaker 2: Is accusing him of stilling more than sixteen million dollars
- 41:11Speaker 2: to support his gambling addiction. Yeah, because it was only
- 41:14Speaker 2: like around five four and a half something like that
- 41:16Speaker 2: at first.
- 41:17Speaker 3: And so do they explain why it was coming out
- 41:20Speaker 3: of Otani's account?
- 41:21Speaker 2: So I read a report from Ken Rosenthal, the rider,
- 41:24Speaker 2: and so going with a bow tie. I don't know
- 41:27Speaker 2: what he looks like. He just said his name, and
- 41:28Speaker 2: I know his name because I read his baseball article.
- 41:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know if he's a little guy, but
- 41:31Speaker 3: when I see him, he kind of looks like a
- 41:33Speaker 3: little guy with a little bow tie. The complaint included,
- 41:37Speaker 3: oh that's him. Oh yeah, he looks like who's the
- 41:43Speaker 3: football guy?
- 41:44Speaker 2: I think he may have died. He's kind of skinny
- 41:48Speaker 2: football guy. Yeah football talking about the the guy that
- 41:51Speaker 2: does the Olympics. I'll get back to it. I think
- 41:54Speaker 2: he might die. Though he's no Mays, baseball doesn't matter,
- 41:58Speaker 2: moving on, Howard Kosel no recent ESPN. Skinny, little old guy,
- 42:02Speaker 2: little tiny guy. So for Otani, like it's the best
- 42:09Speaker 2: case scenario, even though it sucks because he lost sixteen
- 42:11Speaker 2: million bucks but he didn't notice it was gone.
- 42:14Speaker 3: I guess no. I mean, and what does he make?
- 42:17Speaker 2: But that doesn't I know that doesn't matter. I agree,
- 42:20Speaker 2: because I'd be fine that with me.
- 42:21Speaker 3: I'd be pissed, sure, Like I don't have that money,
- 42:24Speaker 3: but if you find me a thousand dollars, that hurts,
- 42:28Speaker 3: like I would cry for a couple of days.
- 42:29Speaker 2: He allegedly placed this is for mis the interpreter nineteen
- 42:35Speaker 2: thousand bets in a three year span. He's like me,
- 42:38Speaker 2: at these breaks. It must be in those live bets.
- 42:40Speaker 3: Yeah, must be watching the game, be like, ah, there's
- 42:44Speaker 3: no way they're gonna lose this game.
- 42:46Speaker 2: He must been dorm dudes. I got my dorm dude's
- 42:49Speaker 2: head on. I know, I like it looks good. One
- 42:51Speaker 2: if you want one to have one, Okay, I have one.
- 42:53Speaker 2: He plays nineteen thousand bets, dude, I bet you if
- 42:57Speaker 2: they looked at our bets. And I'm not nineteenth, but
- 43:00Speaker 2: we're pretty high up there.
- 43:01Speaker 3: I bet. I mean every night, every night, I bet
- 43:04Speaker 3: about five or six bets every night.
- 43:06Speaker 2: He bet nineteen thousand and a three year span. Let's
- 43:09Speaker 2: just break this down. So nineteen thousand, So let's do
- 43:12Speaker 2: eighteen thousand. That's six thousand a year. Okay, So break
- 43:15Speaker 2: that down. That's three thousand for six months. Okay, so
- 43:18Speaker 2: break that down. That's fifteen thousand. The way it's three
- 43:23Speaker 2: thousand for me. I've lost my numbers now for a
- 43:25Speaker 2: month and a half. That's a thousand buck. I don't
- 43:28Speaker 2: know I lost my numbers anyway, it's a lot. I'm
- 43:30Speaker 2: doing it with nothing in front of me. But if
- 43:31Speaker 2: you can go down to but here's how about you.
- 43:33Speaker 3: If you can go down to one hundred a week,
- 43:36Speaker 3: which it seems like if you would have kept going
- 43:38Speaker 3: with that with that scale, I'm gonna do it. I
- 43:40Speaker 3: get a pin. Okay, come on.
- 43:41Speaker 2: So let's just say it's eighteen thousand, nineteen thousand, nineteen thousand, bets.
- 43:45Speaker 2: So let's do eighteen thousand bets on a three year span.
- 43:49Speaker 2: That's six thousand bets a year. Okay, okay, six thousand bets.
- 43:54Speaker 2: And let's break that into two. That's three thousand bets
- 43:59Speaker 2: for six months. That's fifteen hundred bets for three months.
- 44:02Speaker 3: Okay, still doable, Go ahead, keep going. Yeah, I know,
- 44:07Speaker 3: I'm telling you, dude, we get down to one hundred.
- 44:09Speaker 2: But the money we wouldn't do because it ranged from
- 44:11Speaker 2: the bucks to one hundred and sixty thousand dollars a bet.
- 44:13Speaker 2: The number that's crazy is the amount of bets. So
- 44:16Speaker 2: five hundred bets a month.
- 44:18Speaker 3: Let's go, that's four weeks. I'm telling you.
- 44:20Speaker 2: It's one hundred and two hundred and fifty bus bets
- 44:25Speaker 2: a week. No, no, a month, so one hundred and
- 44:28Speaker 2: twenty five bets a week.
- 44:30Speaker 3: I bet you I'm close to that.
- 44:33Speaker 5: I got like sixteen a day.
- 44:34Speaker 2: I haven't said I bet you yeah, but I guess
- 44:38Speaker 2: I guess what's crazy is this wasn't his money.
- 44:40Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 44:41Speaker 2: I don't do sixteen a day every day though for
- 44:44Speaker 2: a year, right, it's not everybody During.
- 44:46Speaker 3: College football I will do like forty yeah, and on
- 44:49Speaker 3: Sundays alone. I'll do golf probably ten on golf, ten
- 44:52Speaker 3: on NASCAR, and but that's like five times a year.
- 44:57Speaker 3: You do it like that?
- 44:58Speaker 2: No, no, no, every Sunday. But NASCAR doesn't happen every Sunday.
- 45:01Speaker 3: Yeah it does. There's something happening every Sunday and then
- 45:05Speaker 3: on Saturday. I think there's a UFC fight pretty much
- 45:08Speaker 3: every week. They'll take like some weeks, how much are
- 45:10Speaker 3: you betting a dollar? Five dollars a fight? I'm up
- 45:12Speaker 3: to five dollars. This guy was betting at times one
- 45:14Speaker 3: hundred and sixty thousand dollars A bit okay, a little different, dude,
- 45:19Speaker 3: that's crazy, but but real talk, real talk, What does
- 45:22Speaker 3: that do to your heart? Or is he just numb to?
- 45:26Speaker 1: Like?
- 45:26Speaker 2: How did you get much access to his financials?
- 45:30Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying, dude. It's still a little shady.
- 45:32Speaker 2: So what this says, turns out the interpreter this is
- 45:34Speaker 2: from the Atlantic. Now the interpreter helped Otwanni set up
- 45:36Speaker 2: accounts then eventually impersonated him on the phone with bank
- 45:39Speaker 2: officials to authorize large transactions. If true or like, we
- 45:44Speaker 2: have to believe it is what it is we're supposed
- 45:45Speaker 2: to believe it. He is moving on, but you don't
- 45:46Speaker 2: believe we landed on the moon. But also I do.
- 45:48Speaker 2: I just think that there's some stuff that are hiding
- 45:50Speaker 2: from us.
- 45:51Speaker 3: Right.
- 45:52Speaker 2: But if somebody in power did find out that Otani
- 45:56Speaker 2: was involved, this is a great way to cover it up.
- 45:59Speaker 3: We got to create story. He's gonna be the fall guy,
- 46:02Speaker 3: and fall guy is cool with it, right, Yeah, he's
- 46:05Speaker 3: got to be cool with it. There's still buds, they're
- 46:07Speaker 3: still friends, probably not outwardly. If he really stole from him,
- 46:11Speaker 3: no chance. If this is a story, it's now. But
- 46:16Speaker 3: here's the thing.
- 46:16Speaker 2: How does he not have with Otani making the money
- 46:19Speaker 2: he has, how does he not have a business manager
- 46:21Speaker 2: watching his Because interpreters aren't the person that runs his money.
- 46:24Speaker 2: He has people running his money too. That's why it
- 46:27Speaker 2: just doesn't shake out to me, like this is it
- 46:29Speaker 2: the end? But people from other countries, dude, they may
- 46:31Speaker 2: not do things that somebody who's a multi multi multi
- 46:34Speaker 2: million I get it, But if you're not used to
- 46:36Speaker 2: working with financial.
- 46:37Speaker 3: It's not like he's pooping in a hole in the yard.
- 46:39Speaker 3: It's not. It's not. It's it's not. I will tell
- 46:43Speaker 3: you too though, man, like if this, if you ever
- 46:45Speaker 3: asked me to take the fall for you, but you
- 46:47Speaker 3: take care of me, it's all good. Let's do it. Yeah.
- 46:50Speaker 3: Prison would be tough though, Oh no no, not prison.
- 46:53Speaker 3: No no, no, no, no no, not that kind of fault
- 46:58Speaker 3: prison prison tough, yeah, dude, because it won't be tough.
- 47:02Speaker 3: I'll do some, but it just meant like fire me,
- 47:05Speaker 3: you know.
- 47:07Speaker 2: But if it's like a year in a minimum security
- 47:10Speaker 2: JA minimum security, so that's much.
- 47:13Speaker 3: I know.
- 47:13Speaker 2: Hold on, but I give you two million dollars for
- 47:16Speaker 2: a year in minimal security jail, and I'm going to
- 47:17Speaker 2: take care of you.
- 47:18Speaker 3: With two million dollars. Is there a chance of me
- 47:20Speaker 3: getting out good behavior? I don't know.
- 47:22Speaker 2: We just have to say minimum security. It's like where
- 47:25Speaker 2: what's it dude? The reality show guy Chris, Yeah, that's
- 47:28Speaker 2: where he is, right, So it's not great, But you're
- 47:30Speaker 2: not probably being shanked.
- 47:32Speaker 3: Two million after taxes. Sure it's hypothetical, why not? Yeah, yeah,
- 47:39Speaker 3: I think it's worth it. So that's about three million
- 47:41Speaker 3: from me. Then kids, sit down, I gotta talk to you.
- 47:43Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying. Oh, Tony could cover that. That
- 47:47Speaker 3: not to cover pretty easily. It's tough, man, I speak
- 47:51Speaker 3: to you.
- 47:51Speaker 2: Would you go to the Big House for I don't
- 47:54Speaker 2: I mean, I don't need money. Okay, would you go
- 47:56Speaker 2: to the Big House for National Championship football and basketball
- 48:01Speaker 2: same year?
- 48:02Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 48:02Speaker 2: Yeah, j will be tough because I for sure be
- 48:05Speaker 2: holding someone's pocket and the guy would also be like, yeah,
- 48:07Speaker 2: we don't do that here. This is I'm scurity. I'm like, no,
- 48:09Speaker 2: I want to though, you don't have to do that. No, no, no,
- 48:13Speaker 2: I feel like it's my duty. It's when I cover
- 48:15Speaker 2: my bases. Oh I was, I have two more things
- 48:19Speaker 2: to tell you, then we'll shut it down here. On
- 48:21Speaker 2: our last episode, I was gonna tell you what I
- 48:23Speaker 2: bet on DraftKings because I bet before nineteen thousand bets
- 48:27Speaker 2: a year, so the Masters. I enjoy betting the Masters.
- 48:32Speaker 2: I like having somebody in on Sunday, but I like
- 48:34Speaker 2: to bet them early.
- 48:34Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, but did you bet this before the master
- 48:37Speaker 3: started at all?
- 48:37Speaker 2: Before so best odds and I bet everything that was
- 48:41Speaker 2: in my account, meaning it was like.
- 48:43Speaker 3: A thousand bucks. Yeah, you didn't have a lot.
- 48:44Speaker 2: Man, I take it out. I take it out so
- 48:47Speaker 2: I don't spend it now. There's nothing to bet.
- 48:49Speaker 3: I don't want to go.
- 48:50Speaker 2: I don't have board money in there. Board money means
- 48:52Speaker 2: I spend it. I don't bet enough during football. I
- 48:55Speaker 2: don't have to worry about board money because it's all
- 48:57Speaker 2: it's getting played, it's getting used. So here are the
- 49:02Speaker 2: bets that I made. Let me click open. I have,
- 49:07Speaker 2: Oh this is not a good one.
- 49:09Speaker 3: Tiger making the cut. I have plus one ninety Jordan
- 49:12Speaker 3: Speed's top ten. Oh no, it's not looking good for him.
- 49:14Speaker 3: What's see right now?
- 49:15Speaker 2: Because he was like plus last I saw was plus seven?
- 49:17Speaker 3: Read would you be the looker upper or Mike one
- 49:19Speaker 3: of you guys? It's just not good.
- 49:21Speaker 2: So I bet five hundred bucks on Jordan Speed's to
- 49:24Speaker 2: be top ten.
- 49:25Speaker 3: Dude, how does a past winner just have bad day?
- 49:30Speaker 1: Go?
- 49:30Speaker 3: Get this? Hold on, let's let's move on here.
- 49:33Speaker 2: I have Jordan's Speed plus twenty five hundred to be
- 49:35Speaker 2: the outright winner. I bet fifty bucks there, make thirteen hundred.
- 49:39Speaker 2: It really wasn't a huge investment there. The five hundred
- 49:41Speaker 2: one was that sucks. I have Tiger Woods outright winter
- 49:45Speaker 2: just because it was fun to bet.
- 49:47Speaker 3: I did that one time. When he wants I.
- 49:48Speaker 2: Can cash out for forty six cents. Now I bet
- 49:50Speaker 2: ten dollars, yeap, cash that one out. I have Tiger
- 49:54Speaker 2: Wood's top ten just for fun to route for Tiger
- 49:57Speaker 2: how much fifty bucks to one five hundred. I have
- 50:00Speaker 2: Tiger Woods any bogie free round. Okay, it's a plus
- 50:04Speaker 2: twelve hundred, so so you need him to do well
- 50:06Speaker 2: today about fifty bucks to win six fifty. All these
- 50:09Speaker 2: so far losers, like I know, they're all loser. I'm
- 50:13Speaker 2: pretty sure last year he had a bogie free round,
- 50:15Speaker 2: maybe two years ago. And my final bet is Tiger
- 50:16Speaker 2: Woods to make the cut minus won twenty five. So
- 50:19Speaker 2: to make the cut was a favorite when I got
- 50:20Speaker 2: ahold of it, and it was okay, yeah yeah, and
- 50:25Speaker 2: I bet two hundred and ninety bucks. It must have
- 50:26Speaker 2: been all I had left, Oh my god at the
- 50:28Speaker 2: end to make five twenty two.
- 50:29Speaker 3: He's tinkering with that line today, but.
- 50:31Speaker 2: That jordan' Spea's top ten five hundred bucks is really
- 50:34Speaker 2: that's gonna be the one that kicks me in the nuts?
- 50:36Speaker 3: How are we doing?
- 50:37Speaker 6: He's tied for seventy ninth plus seven, and then he's
- 50:42Speaker 6: what holds me on.
- 50:43Speaker 5: He's through two today and he's even that's good.
- 50:46Speaker 3: But he's got a what's the line going to be today?
- 50:49Speaker 3: I mean I would think the way it is now
- 50:50Speaker 3: maybe two or three plus. I can still get there.
- 50:54Speaker 3: He can still get there. He's got to get to it. Man,
- 50:56Speaker 3: Let's go Jordy Okay, I did do a last minute
- 50:59Speaker 3: Tommy would outright winter he did plus twenty five hundred.
- 51:03Speaker 3: I don't know. Sometimes I just watch, I watch. I
- 51:05Speaker 3: never know golf. I have no idea.
- 51:06Speaker 2: I never win golf. You never know, never win golf. No,
- 51:09Speaker 2: I never know, and I never win golf.
- 51:10Speaker 3: What's crazy, too, though, is like you look at these
- 51:13Speaker 3: I mean, for years, Dustin Johnson, who else, Deschambau and
- 51:20Speaker 3: all these guys that, like we would watch all year round,
- 51:22Speaker 3: you knew how they were doing. But now that they're
- 51:25Speaker 3: in live, I don't know how they're doing. I don't
- 51:27Speaker 3: know how they've been playing. That's that's tricky.
- 51:30Speaker 2: Two other things Packers Eagles on Friday night in Brazil
- 51:32Speaker 2: Week one regular season.
- 51:33Speaker 3: Saw that, But did you see that they they're gonna
- 51:36Speaker 3: wear green. Obviously, one team has to wear green, but
- 51:40Speaker 3: the unspoken rule at that arena is that their rival
- 51:44Speaker 3: wears green so no one ever wears green in that stadium,
- 51:49Speaker 3: Like the players don't wear green socks, like nothing, no
- 51:51Speaker 3: green cleat the rival. What do you mean?
- 51:53Speaker 2: So like say the it's the Cowboys, like Texas Stadium.
- 51:57Speaker 3: That their rival, their big rival is Philadelpha Eagle. So
- 52:00Speaker 3: no one ever at Texas Stadium wears green, got it
- 52:03Speaker 3: because they're that's just kind of their customers.
- 52:05Speaker 2: So so the Eagles could wear silver and white silver,
- 52:09Speaker 2: and the Packers were yellow.
- 52:10Speaker 3: I mean, but there they green. So they're like, what
- 52:13Speaker 3: do we do? And I'll say this I got and
- 52:17Speaker 3: I haven't done. I haven't been able.
- 52:18Speaker 2: I've been pretty busy, so I haven't really been able
- 52:20Speaker 2: to do a bunch of breaks drm dudes as much
- 52:21Speaker 2: as I'd like to do because it was fun for me.
- 52:23Speaker 2: And they have this thing they're called like big maybe
- 52:27Speaker 2: it's like it's not called big hitters like full hitters.
- 52:31Speaker 2: It's it's a card thing. It's a baseball card thing.
- 52:34Speaker 2: The true No, it's one card. It's something hitters.
- 52:39Speaker 3: And so I get in.
- 52:41Speaker 2: I don't know, yeah, and I do. I do the
- 52:45Speaker 2: hitter and I have the audio of it, but it
- 52:49Speaker 2: doesn't matter. I just have the card and I win
- 52:51Speaker 2: this card here, Oh boy, here we go. It's in
- 52:54Speaker 2: your school binder, your portfolio over there. So this is
- 52:58Speaker 2: a twenty eleven update Mike Trout rookie card. Wow, and
- 53:03Speaker 2: it's a Jim meant ten.
- 53:06Speaker 3: That's the best of the best.
- 53:07Speaker 2: I looked up what this is? A gym meant eight?
- 53:11Speaker 2: Was eleven hundred bucks?
- 53:13Speaker 3: What an eight is? I didn't see a gym meant
- 53:17Speaker 3: ten like that. There's a gold version two.
- 53:22Speaker 2: This is not the gold version, but the eleven hundred
- 53:24Speaker 2: bucks was this version here?
- 53:25Speaker 3: That was an eight? And I hit this.
- 53:30Speaker 2: On dorm dudes, and I brought it in before I
- 53:31Speaker 2: put it away. So what do you think that's worth?
- 53:34Speaker 2: If if the eight is eleven hundred, well that's what
- 53:38Speaker 2: it's going for, right, So like, if you can buy
- 53:40Speaker 2: it now for eleven hundred, there's others that are like
- 53:42Speaker 2: seven hundred, eight hundred that were like sevens and eights.
- 53:45Speaker 3: Are we talking five grande a you think?
- 53:47Speaker 2: No? I mean I have it. It's if you look
- 53:52Speaker 2: on the eBay page. No, it's not that. I would
- 53:55Speaker 2: probably say fortune or fifteen hundred bucks.
- 53:56Speaker 3: That's awesome, dude, that's amazing that a baseball card of
- 54:00Speaker 3: a player that's currently still playing is worth that much?
- 54:03Speaker 3: I bought it.
- 54:04Speaker 2: I showed Eddie I bought an Ernie Banks signature. So cool, dude,
- 54:07Speaker 2: so freaking cool. I couldn't believe it was three hundred bucks.
- 54:10Speaker 2: The sale the auction was ending, and I was like,
- 54:13Speaker 2: this can't be Are they just gonna let them go
- 54:15Speaker 2: for three hundred bucks?
- 54:16Speaker 3: So I been on it real quick. Oneer for three
- 54:18Speaker 3: hundred dollars.
- 54:19Speaker 2: That's worth thre hundred bucks for I'm not even gonna
- 54:21Speaker 2: sell that that one.
- 54:22Speaker 3: Is there a handful of items that you have where
- 54:24Speaker 3: you're like, these aren't going anywhere?
- 54:26Speaker 2: No, but there's a handful that I don't want to sell,
- 54:30Speaker 2: and I'll struggle with selling it. George Weston, I'm not
- 54:33Speaker 2: selling that one I bought that. I bought that one
- 54:36Speaker 2: purposely knowing when I was buying, and I feel like,
- 54:38Speaker 2: I'm not going to sell any of this stuff up
- 54:39Speaker 2: purpose for which.
- 54:40Speaker 3: One the word or the signature signaure? John F. Kennedy,
- 54:44Speaker 3: I'll sell that. You're right, You're right.
- 54:46Speaker 2: I saw that one because I didn't know what I
- 54:47Speaker 2: was getting. Yah, you got to get the word. You
- 54:48Speaker 2: gotta keep the.
- 54:49Speaker 3: Word the broncos helmet.
- 54:51Speaker 2: That's in front of us with Peyton Manning and John
- 54:54Speaker 2: Elway Keeper.
- 54:55Speaker 3: That's really cool. What else is in front of Tom Brady?
- 54:59Speaker 3: Tom Brady and then the that's the tree Cowboys.
- 55:01Speaker 2: Cowboys, Michael Ervan, Troy Aikman, Smith, it's Smith.
- 55:05Speaker 3: But that that broncos one is really cool.
- 55:07Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't want to have to sell it, Eddie
- 55:12Speaker 2: Larry Bird keep it.
- 55:14Speaker 3: I'd sell that right now. If somebody wanted off enough,
- 55:16Speaker 3: there'd be a lot of money you'd have to give
- 55:18Speaker 3: me half.
- 55:19Speaker 2: People would buy it, for sure, they'd buy it, but
- 55:21Speaker 2: for not enough. It's so funny. It's worth more than
- 55:24Speaker 2: like it's worth more than like three orour hundred bucks.
- 55:27Speaker 2: If somebody said, I'll give you fifteen hundred dollars for it,
- 55:29Speaker 2: they can have it. How much fifteen hundred But nobody's
- 55:33Speaker 2: gonna pay that because it's not worth that.
- 55:35Speaker 3: Somebody will. It's a piece of history, but it's my history,
- 55:37Speaker 3: and it's one of one man, one of one. And
- 55:40Speaker 3: there's also there's a story behind it. Oh my gosh,
- 55:42Speaker 3: let me tell you what happened. It's pretty crazy. But
- 55:45Speaker 3: unless you know the people involved, people only will know
- 55:47Speaker 3: Larry Bird right right right, you know what I mean.
- 55:49Speaker 3: But then they'll Google me and they'll be like, oh
- 55:50Speaker 3: he's a real person, cool and then not care and
- 55:54Speaker 3: then move on with their lives like he's a celebrity
- 55:56Speaker 3: from John Houston State, Sam Houston. I know we're done.
- 56:01Speaker 3: That's it.
- 56:02Speaker 2: Thank you guys for being in whistling with us.
- 56:05Speaker 3: Thank you for everything. Yeah, we don't know if we're
- 56:07Speaker 3: ever coming back. We don't.
- 56:08Speaker 2: We might every once, all throw something up. We don't
- 56:10Speaker 2: know what we're doing as of right now. We're into
- 56:13Speaker 2: the transfer portal. Oh, we're in the portal. We're in
- 56:15Speaker 2: the portal. This is what it's like. Yeah, hell, hey, hey,
- 56:18Speaker 2: I think it's wetting here.
- 56:21Speaker 3: This is dark and day.
- 56:22Speaker 2: Oh yeah yeah yeah, but we are. We're out here
- 56:24Speaker 2: with whoa every Arkansas player.
- 56:29Speaker 3: Wow, we're out and we hope we'll be back soon.
- 56:34Speaker 2: Thanks to DraftKings for being awesome for this last season
- 56:37Speaker 2: of twenty five whistles. Thank you guys for being awesome.
- 56:40Speaker 2: Please follow us at twenty five Whistles. I'm not sure
- 56:43Speaker 2: why because we're not doing anything.
- 56:45Speaker 3: Just follow us and who knows, you never know, Eddie.
- 56:47Speaker 3: One final whistle. Here we go all right, that's it.
- 56:51Speaker 3: Gome bye everybody,
