- 0:09Speaker 1: Hello, Welcome to the Inside the Birds NFL preview show.
- 0:14Speaker 1: This is Week sixteen. I'm Jeff Mosher, and boy did
- 0:18Speaker 1: the week start off with an absolute bang as this
- 0:22Speaker 1: Seattle Seahawks beat the Rams despite trailing by as much
- 0:27Speaker 1: as fifteen in the fourth quarter on Thursday night, and
- 0:32Speaker 1: now the balance of power in the NFC is Seattle
- 0:36Speaker 1: goes from a wildcard team to number one in the
- 0:41Speaker 1: NFC currently at twelve and three, and no matter what
- 0:44Speaker 1: happens the rest of the weekend, they will still leave
- 0:48Speaker 1: exit this week sixteen as the number one seed with
- 0:52Speaker 1: a huge, huge win over the Rams. It was a
- 0:57Speaker 1: very interesting game. You know, the Rams were play without
- 1:01Speaker 1: DeVante Adams. It didn't look like it hurt them that much.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Maybe maybe a little bit in the fourth quarter when
- 1:10Speaker 1: they were trying to you know, you're up fifteen, had
- 1:13Speaker 1: a couple of third downs, had a punt, you know,
- 1:15Speaker 1: obviously one of the punt's results in Rashichihi going back
- 1:19Speaker 1: fifty eight yards to make it thirty twenty two. Then
- 1:23Speaker 1: they punt again, and then you know, the Sam Darnold,
- 1:27Speaker 1: who had a bad game for about three quarters, marches
- 1:31Speaker 1: the Seahawks down and hits the tight end wide open
- 1:34Speaker 1: in the end zone, and then all of a sudden,
- 1:36Speaker 1: it's a tie game. We go to overtime. Nikua has
- 1:39Speaker 1: the huge pet. What a What a strange week for Puka.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Nakua gets involved in saying some controversial things about referees,
- 1:49Speaker 1: getting I guess roped into saying he was going to
- 1:52Speaker 1: do some kind of touchdown dance that would have been
- 1:55Speaker 1: anti semitic because of the people he was on. He
- 1:58Speaker 1: said he had no idea in his social media post.
- 2:02Speaker 1: But a strange week for him. And then he comes
- 2:04Speaker 1: out and gets twelve catches for two hundred and twenty
- 2:07Speaker 1: five yards and two touchdowns. Just an amazing receiver. His
- 2:12Speaker 1: connection with Master Stafford is unbelievable. Stafford throw. Stafford did
- 2:16Speaker 1: everything he could. I mean, he completes four hundred and
- 2:19Speaker 1: fifty seven I'm sorry. He throws for four hundred and
- 2:22Speaker 1: fifty seven yards and three touchdowns without DeVante Adams. He
- 2:27Speaker 1: gives the team a lead right and then a couple
- 2:31Speaker 1: of times. He gave the team a lead at one
- 2:33Speaker 1: point up thirty to fourteen on a vintage Matthew Stafford pass.
- 2:38Speaker 1: He puts them up thirty to fourteen on a one
- 2:41Speaker 1: yard touchdown pass to Nicoup. He never even looked at him.
- 2:44Speaker 1: He never looked at him. It's the trademark Matthew Stafford
- 2:48Speaker 1: signature no look pass, and it was a beauty. Nkoop
- 2:52Speaker 1: has got the strongest hands in the league. And I
- 2:55Speaker 1: think the Seahawks at that point needed a spark. Obviously,
- 3:01Speaker 1: nade a spark. Rashi Chi gave it to them with
- 3:03Speaker 1: the fifty eight yard punt return. Now at that point,
- 3:08Speaker 1: after the return, it's a thirty twenty two game. And
- 3:12Speaker 1: if you're the Rams, you're thinking, I have walked the
- 3:15Speaker 1: ball up and down the field against the Seahawks at will.
- 3:20Speaker 1: I have scored as much as I want to score,
- 3:22Speaker 1: all right, I have held at that point Jackson Smith
- 3:25Speaker 1: and Jigbow who might be the offensive player of the year.
- 3:29Speaker 1: I think he had one catch at that point, maybe two.
- 3:32Speaker 1: I mean, they were so frustrated with him not getting
- 3:35Speaker 1: the ball. They started to line him up in the backfield,
- 3:37Speaker 1: just like a running back catching passes out of the backfield,
- 3:41Speaker 1: just to get a different four, just to try to
- 3:42Speaker 1: get a body off of them. And it seemed to
- 3:45Speaker 1: work as the game went on, but the Rams just
- 3:48Speaker 1: outplayed the Seahawks as much as you could until that
- 3:52Speaker 1: punt return, and you have to the day after if
- 3:55Speaker 1: you're the Rams, I don't think you're just I don't.
- 3:58Speaker 1: I don't think you have to like beat yourself off
- 3:59Speaker 1: about this. The one thing that they did poorly was
- 4:03Speaker 1: just give up too many big plays, all right. I
- 4:08Speaker 1: mean the Kenneth Walker fifty five yard touchdown run that
- 4:12Speaker 1: put him up fourteen thirteen. You gotta make a tackle
- 4:16Speaker 1: you can't allow. If you're the Rams defense, which has
- 4:18Speaker 1: been very good all year long, you really can't allow
- 4:21Speaker 1: a fifty five yard touchdown run, especially when at that
- 4:25Speaker 1: point you were doing fairly well defensively. That was killer,
- 4:31Speaker 1: and that really would come to signify how the Seahawks
- 4:35Speaker 1: were going to score in that game, because they really
- 4:39Speaker 1: didn't have a sustainable offense for most of the game.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Their play action wasn't very good. They couldn't get the
- 4:45Speaker 1: ball to Smith in Jigba. They weren't getting the ball
- 4:49Speaker 1: to any other you know, occasionally they threw it to
- 4:51Speaker 1: the running back, but they just weren't really doing anything
- 4:56Speaker 1: other than watching Sam Darnold get sacked, get pressured, and
- 5:00Speaker 1: throw picks. For most of the three quarters. But these
- 5:03Speaker 1: big plays that they allowed really hurt them. And I'm
- 5:07Speaker 1: a little surprised because it's not like the Rams. I
- 5:10Speaker 1: know they're without I think one or two starters on defense,
- 5:13Speaker 1: including one of their best players, Quinton Lake in the
- 5:16Speaker 1: backfield right Noel Tyler Higbee and tight end actually hurt
- 5:20Speaker 1: him too. I'll get to that in a second. Surprisingly,
- 5:23Speaker 1: tight end hurt them with all the thirteen personnel that
- 5:26Speaker 1: they play. But the big plays, the fifty five yard touchdown,
- 5:30Speaker 1: the fifty eight yarder, the Barner touchdown. That one was
- 5:34Speaker 1: set up by a really nice catch by Cooper Cup
- 5:39Speaker 1: on the right side where he was opened. That was
- 5:42Speaker 1: a big play that came at a crucial time. But
- 5:45Speaker 1: you know, Darnold's sort of getting this credit for playing
- 5:48Speaker 1: this unbelievable third and fourth quarter. I didn't see it
- 5:52Speaker 1: that way. I thought he played well and he snapped
- 5:54Speaker 1: out of it after throwing a couple of bad interceptions
- 5:57Speaker 1: early in the game. But honestly, again, the punt turn,
- 6:00Speaker 1: they're down thirty fourteen. The putner turn makes it a
- 6:02Speaker 1: one possession game. Then the touchdown he throws to Barner
- 6:05Speaker 1: was off of a play action rolls to his right
- 6:08Speaker 1: Barner's wide open. Anybody, if anybody listening to the show,
- 6:12Speaker 1: has to be able to make that throw. All right,
- 6:14Speaker 1: that was not the trickiest throw that he made in
- 6:16Speaker 1: the game. Now, he did hit Smith and Jigba on
- 6:19Speaker 1: some really tough sideline routes on that drive, and then
- 6:22Speaker 1: in overtime, and then he throws the touchdown to Smith
- 6:26Speaker 1: and Jigban overtime, and the two point conversion was a
- 6:29Speaker 1: good play. It was one of those late leakouts by
- 6:31Speaker 1: the tight end when everybody else is in coverage and
- 6:34Speaker 1: you just throw it over the middle and you hit him.
- 6:35Speaker 1: I honestly didn't think. And that's the way it goes
- 6:39Speaker 1: with the TV broadcast. When you see a game change
- 6:42Speaker 1: momentum like that, the guy who has struggle to begin
- 6:44Speaker 1: with is gonna look amazing and everybody's gonna sing his praises.
- 6:48Speaker 1: And now Sam Darnold has shaken off the big app
- 6:52Speaker 1: That's all garbage to me. I thought he played an
- 6:54Speaker 1: average game, if we're being fair. Now he was under dress,
- 6:59Speaker 1: and I would think the first interception he threw was
- 7:03Speaker 1: not as ugly as the second one. The first interception
- 7:06Speaker 1: looked bad because it throws it right to the defensive back.
- 7:09Speaker 1: But he clearly see the rams are showing what looks
- 7:12Speaker 1: like man and the guy who picked the ball off
- 7:17Speaker 1: was really dropping into his own It looked like he
- 7:19Speaker 1: was gonna go with his man. He didn't, So Sam
- 7:21Speaker 1: Darnold was three steps out. You know, we've talked about
- 7:23Speaker 1: this before. On some throws, jail and hurts his maid
- 7:26Speaker 1: and the guy just jumped it and it was a
- 7:28Speaker 1: bad pick. Now, the second one low red zone. That's
- 7:31Speaker 1: tough when you throw it to the lineman right there.
- 7:33Speaker 1: You know. The bad to me, bad interceptions are when
- 7:36Speaker 1: you're holding onto the ball. You're holding on to the ball,
- 7:38Speaker 1: holding on to the ball, you try to go somewhere,
- 7:40Speaker 1: you're late, you try to thread it to a window
- 7:43Speaker 1: with three defenders, or you sail a ball and it
- 7:45Speaker 1: hits the safety when you were trying to hit the
- 7:47Speaker 1: tight end over the middle. Those are bad interceptions. One
- 7:50Speaker 1: where a defense fools you and your three step bam
- 7:53Speaker 1: out and they pick it off. That's you have to
- 7:55Speaker 1: tip your cap sometimes to the defense. So I thought
- 7:58Speaker 1: one of those two and interceptions that Darnald threw wasn't that bad.
- 8:02Speaker 1: But really, for the first three quarters, I mean it
- 8:04Speaker 1: was under dress, he didn't know where he wanted to
- 8:06Speaker 1: go with the ball. He took jig bow away, and
- 8:09Speaker 1: he didn't really have any other outlets. So I think
- 8:12Speaker 1: the Rams played a pretty good game, especially defensively, for
- 8:16Speaker 1: a team that allowed thirty eight points. What they really
- 8:19Speaker 1: did was they allowed twenty three offensive points in regulation. Okay,
- 8:26Speaker 1: not great, but not terrible to a good Seattle Seahawks team,
- 8:30Speaker 1: by the way. So and then obviously in overtime, both
- 8:34Speaker 1: teams are exhausted, both defenses are tired, So I don't
- 8:37Speaker 1: really hold I don't really say the Seahawks and Rams
- 8:39Speaker 1: played bad defense in overtime, and they've been on the
- 8:42Speaker 1: field a lot. It's an NFC game, NFC West game,
- 8:45Speaker 1: there's a ton at stake, the number one seed. So
- 8:48Speaker 1: the fact that both quarterbacks were able to march there
- 8:51Speaker 1: their offensives down in overtime doesn't surprise me, and I
- 8:56Speaker 1: don't looked at that as a knock on either defense.
- 8:59Speaker 1: At that point, you're hanging on by a thread and
- 9:02Speaker 1: trying to summon all that you can. But you want
- 9:05Speaker 1: to ask me where this game changed and where it
- 9:07Speaker 1: was lost for the Rams was on the punt return
- 9:09Speaker 1: because that gave the Rams, that gave the Seahawks life,
- 9:13Speaker 1: and it just made the Rams defense have to then
- 9:18Speaker 1: get back on the field after that, after I Live
- 9:20Speaker 1: it was a three and out and defend again, and
- 9:24Speaker 1: you know eventually you're gonna wear down in a game
- 9:27Speaker 1: like that. So for the moment, the Seahawks are number
- 9:31Speaker 1: one in the NFC, well deserved. They've had a great year.
- 9:34Speaker 1: The Rams, you have not heard the last of them.
- 9:38Speaker 1: The series is one and one, and by the way,
- 9:40Speaker 1: the forty nine Ers are still very much alive in
- 9:43Speaker 1: the NFC West. But the Rams have to go on
- 9:44Speaker 1: and play the Falcons and the Cardinals. Sounds like DeVonta
- 9:49Speaker 1: Adams will not play again against the Falcons. Maybe we'll
- 9:51Speaker 1: get him against the Cardinals. Should win both of those games,
- 9:54Speaker 1: should finish thirteen and four. Meanwhile, the Seahawks have to
- 9:59Speaker 1: play the Anthers at Carolina, so they got to travel
- 10:02Speaker 1: all the way across the country next week, and then
- 10:04Speaker 1: they got to finish up against a forty nine Ers
- 10:07Speaker 1: team that has beaten both the Seahawks and the Rams
- 10:09Speaker 1: this year, and they get the Colts this week. So
- 10:11Speaker 1: clearly the Rams schedule is way easier than the Seahawks schedule,
- 10:17Speaker 1: not saying the Seahawks can't get it done. They could
- 10:19Speaker 1: certainly go to a O. They control their own destiny,
- 10:23Speaker 1: but either way, I don't feel like you've heard the last.
- 10:26Speaker 1: And then obviously the people who suffer the most or
- 10:28Speaker 1: whoever gets the fourth seed, either the Buccaneers or the Panthers,
- 10:32Speaker 1: whoever wins the NFC South will undoubtedly be the fourth
- 10:35Speaker 1: seed because they're gonna have to play the fifth seed,
- 10:37Speaker 1: and that means they're gonna have to play most likely
- 10:40Speaker 1: the Rams or the Seahawks, with an outside shot of
- 10:44Speaker 1: it being the forty nine ers. So a lot left there,
- 10:48Speaker 1: but it's kind of rough when you're the fourth seed.
- 10:51Speaker 1: You'll win your division by the skin of your teeth
- 10:53Speaker 1: and then you have to play in the first round
- 10:56Speaker 1: a team that might win twelve or thirteen games in
- 10:59Speaker 1: the regular season. But that's the way the playoffs go,
- 11:02Speaker 1: and that's what makes it fun. The Saturday games today,
- 11:06Speaker 1: we know how important this is for the Eagles against Commanders,
- 11:09Speaker 1: they have a chance to win the game and get
- 11:11Speaker 1: the NFC East title. No team has repeated as NFC
- 11:15Speaker 1: East champs in more than twenty years, since the three
- 11:18Speaker 1: to four Eagles. So this is now twenty twenty five seasons,
- 11:21Speaker 1: so we're talking about twenty one straight seasons right where
- 11:24Speaker 1: we haven't seen a repeat champion, So that would be
- 11:26Speaker 1: a heck of an accomplishment for the Eagles. And then you
- 11:29Speaker 1: got Bears Packers. Now, let's talk about this game Bears Packers.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Right now, the Bears sit in the two seed at
- 11:36Speaker 1: ten and four, even though they lost to Green Bay
- 11:39Speaker 1: the week two weeks ago. This is a rematch from
- 11:41Speaker 1: the game two weeks ago the Packers won. The Packers
- 11:44Speaker 1: are nine to four and one. This game is in Chicago.
- 11:47Speaker 1: It's actually going to be a decent day in Chicago
- 11:49Speaker 1: for December. I think that the weather is going to
- 11:52Speaker 1: be in the thirties. No, I don't think it's supposed
- 11:54Speaker 1: to be snowing or sleading or crazy win. It's just
- 11:57Speaker 1: going to be a cold night in Chicago. But the
- 12:00Speaker 1: most Chicagoans, the cold night in Chicago is in the teens.
- 12:03Speaker 1: This one might be in the thirties and maybe by
- 12:06Speaker 1: the end of the game in the twenties, So not
- 12:08Speaker 1: too bad to me. The injuries are the real issue
- 12:13Speaker 1: in this game. The Bears are gonna be without two
- 12:18Speaker 1: really good wide receivers Roma Dunza, and of course they're
- 12:21Speaker 1: rookie Luther Burden, who has played well at times, especially
- 12:24Speaker 1: in the absence of a Dunesa. He doesn't always have
- 12:27Speaker 1: the most targets, but he comes up with really big catches.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Now they are down both of those guys. Now, the
- 12:34Speaker 1: Bears are not a huge passing team to begin with,
- 12:39Speaker 1: but in a game against a division rival with so
- 12:41Speaker 1: much at stake, you want to be at full strength
- 12:45Speaker 1: and have all the guys you think you're gonna need.
- 12:48Speaker 1: And unfortunately for the Bears, they are not going to
- 12:51Speaker 1: have two pretty significant weapons in the passing game. Now
- 12:58Speaker 1: the Packers are all so in a little bit of
- 13:01Speaker 1: trouble a lot. Let's face it, they lost Micah Parsons,
- 13:04Speaker 1: and Parsons wasn't just having a great year. He was
- 13:09Speaker 1: having an unbelievable closer type of year, meaning in the
- 13:14Speaker 1: fourth quarter in these tough games, Parsons was absolutely dominating
- 13:20Speaker 1: the line of scrimmage and coming through with some really
- 13:24Speaker 1: really big sacks. I mean, there were some games this
- 13:27Speaker 1: year that the Packers held on to win because of
- 13:30Speaker 1: how he played in the fourth quarter. And now he's
- 13:33Speaker 1: out for the rest of the year. Acl Remember they
- 13:37Speaker 1: traded for him to put them over the top, and
- 13:41Speaker 1: now he's gonna be out, and I just don't know
- 13:44Speaker 1: what that's gonna do for this Packers defense on offense
- 13:48Speaker 1: that looks like they're okay. Golden will continue, We'll play.
- 13:52Speaker 1: He's good. He has no injury injury designation. Josh Jacobs
- 13:55Speaker 1: has been questionable. What else is new. He's always been
- 13:57Speaker 1: dealing with the ankle for pretty much the second half
- 14:01Speaker 1: of the year. Jayden Reid's good to go. Now. Their
- 14:04Speaker 1: right tackle, Zach Tom very good right tackle, He's questionable
- 14:08Speaker 1: to play. He didn't practice all week. Same thing, well,
- 14:13Speaker 1: not saying exactly, but Christian Watson who got hurt so
- 14:17Speaker 1: badly the wide receiver in the last game that they played,
- 14:20Speaker 1: I think it was against against the Broncos. He was
- 14:22Speaker 1: in the hospital. He had a chest shoulder injury. Now
- 14:25Speaker 1: it wound up not being as bad as they thought,
- 14:28Speaker 1: but he didn't practice at all on the first day
- 14:32Speaker 1: of practice Tuesday, and then he was limited Wednesday and Thursday.
- 14:36Speaker 1: Zach Tom didn't practice at all all week. So I
- 14:40Speaker 1: have some real concerns about how impactful their right tackle
- 14:44Speaker 1: will be and how impactful Christian Watson, who's really had
- 14:47Speaker 1: a good year since coming back from the ACL. It's
- 14:50Speaker 1: no surprise that ever since he came back and then
- 14:53Speaker 1: Jayden Reid came back, that Jordan Love has been on
- 14:56Speaker 1: a tear. The Packers have scored a lot more points.
- 14:59Speaker 1: They've looked like a much mo functional team, and they
- 15:01Speaker 1: were winning fairly significantly against the Bears a couple of
- 15:06Speaker 1: weeks ago. A Bear scored scored some late points to
- 15:11Speaker 1: get back in it. But not having if not having
- 15:15Speaker 1: a fully strong offense, and if Watson can't three make
- 15:20Speaker 1: it through the game, or if Zach Tom can't make
- 15:22Speaker 1: it through the game, that's gonna hurt for sure. But
- 15:25Speaker 1: I still like the Packers. I think Chicago is going
- 15:28Speaker 1: to have to run the ball well, and the Packers,
- 15:31Speaker 1: even without Parsons, know how the Bears play. They know
- 15:36Speaker 1: that they're predicated on the run, and I think they'll
- 15:39Speaker 1: be able to put just enough pressure on Caleb Williams,
- 15:42Speaker 1: who's played better lately. I got to give Killer Williams credit.
- 15:44Speaker 1: He's played better. It'll be a real test without Michael
- 15:48Speaker 1: Parsons to see if the Packers can really keep it
- 15:52Speaker 1: up defensively. The way they have been for most of
- 15:55Speaker 1: the year. They've been a really good defensive team. A
- 15:57Speaker 1: couple of blips here and there, but they've been brillian good.
- 16:01Speaker 1: Now we'll have to see can they beat the Bears
- 16:03Speaker 1: and then followed by the Ravens and Vikings. I mean,
- 16:05Speaker 1: those are all three winnable games for the Packers, but
- 16:08Speaker 1: it's got to start today against the Bears. I think
- 16:11Speaker 1: they'll win. If they win, they get to ten four
- 16:14Speaker 1: and one, and then the Bears, who just leap frog
- 16:18Speaker 1: right back into the number two seed. When the Packers
- 16:22Speaker 1: lost the Lo Broncos last week and the Bears beat
- 16:25Speaker 1: the Browns, right, so there were two then they lost
- 16:29Speaker 1: it and then got right back into it the two.
- 16:32Speaker 1: And if they lose the Bears, they'll go to ten
- 16:35Speaker 1: and five. The Packers will be ten four and one.
- 16:37Speaker 1: The Packers will be in the two seed. Although yes,
- 16:42Speaker 1: because even if the Eagles win at ten and five,
- 16:44Speaker 1: ten to four and one is better than ten and
- 16:46Speaker 1: five obviously, so the Packers will leap back into the
- 16:49Speaker 1: two seed. And let let let's talk about one other
- 16:52Speaker 1: thing about this Packers Bears matchup. Matt Lafleur tends to
- 16:55Speaker 1: be a conservative coach, but he clearly took umbrage to
- 17:01Speaker 1: the Bears coach Ben Johnson in his introductory press conference
- 17:08Speaker 1: all the way back in the offseason to saying that
- 17:09Speaker 1: he really enjoyed beating Matt Lafleur twice a year when
- 17:14Speaker 1: he was the offensive coordinator of the Lions. I mean,
- 17:16Speaker 1: he really rubbed that one in and that did not
- 17:20Speaker 1: sit well with Matt Lafleur. I don't know if he
- 17:22Speaker 1: saw the post game handshake between Laflour and Ben Johnson
- 17:26Speaker 1: after the Packers won two weeks ago against the Bears
- 17:28Speaker 1: in Green Bay, but that was a frosty handshake, and
- 17:31Speaker 1: it wasn't because they were at lambeau Field. That was
- 17:34Speaker 1: not the frozen tundra. That was Matt Lafleur saying gotcha.
- 17:40Speaker 1: And there's no question Matt Lafleur wants to say gotcha
- 17:43Speaker 1: again because that would make them too and zero against
- 17:46Speaker 1: the Bears and also give them put them right back
- 17:50Speaker 1: atop the NFC North and at the two seed. It's
- 17:53Speaker 1: gonna be a great game if the Bears win and
- 17:57Speaker 1: they get to eleven and four and Green Bay to
- 18:00Speaker 1: nine and five. Pretty great story by Ben Johnson Caleb
- 18:06Speaker 1: Williams and the Chicago Bears, who have a very good defense.
- 18:09Speaker 1: So really look forward to watching that and seeing how
- 18:11Speaker 1: that one goes. And those are your Saturday games. As
- 18:15Speaker 1: for your Sunday games, you know, the biggest ones obviously
- 18:21Speaker 1: are Tampa Bay Carolina that that is going to decide
- 18:25Speaker 1: the NFC South. The Bucks have played as bad as
- 18:28Speaker 1: you can play. I'm really curious to see how they
- 18:31Speaker 1: respond to Todd Bowles, who, after they lost last week
- 18:36Speaker 1: to the Falcons, really took his team to task. I
- 18:39Speaker 1: mean he in a way I mentioned this on the
- 18:42Speaker 1: show in a way that you don't ordinarily see coaches
- 18:45Speaker 1: do anymore. He basically said, the coaches have done everything
- 18:49Speaker 1: they can do. It's up to the players to hold
- 18:52Speaker 1: themselves accountable. Baker Mayfield came out and said, Hey, I
- 18:56Speaker 1: got to look at myself in the mirror. And then
- 18:58Speaker 1: Todd Bowles kind of walked back his harshness during the week,
- 19:01Speaker 1: but he said if everybody looked in the mirror the
- 19:04Speaker 1: way Baker is going to look in the mirror, then
- 19:08Speaker 1: this team will be fine. And when I hear that,
- 19:10Speaker 1: I just get the sense that because he's a defensive
- 19:13Speaker 1: minded head coach, and because the Bucks have not exactly
- 19:17Speaker 1: played great on defense lately, I get the sense he's
- 19:20Speaker 1: talking to his defense. I think Todd Bowles is frustrated
- 19:24Speaker 1: with how his defense played. You can't allow twenty nine
- 19:26Speaker 1: points to the Atlanta Falcons, who came back to win
- 19:29Speaker 1: that game despite being on their backup quarterback with Kirk Cousins,
- 19:33Speaker 1: who's a good backup quarterback. But the Falcons have been
- 19:36Speaker 1: having a terrible year. They were without Drake London. You know,
- 19:40Speaker 1: their real only weapon is Bijon Robinson, who had a
- 19:43Speaker 1: great game, but they were Kirk Cousins was hitting guys
- 19:46Speaker 1: like David Sills for big plays in that game. I mean,
- 19:50Speaker 1: if you're the Buccaneers, you look at that game and
- 19:52Speaker 1: by the way, you're coming off a loss to the
- 19:54Speaker 1: Saints the week before, you've lost five out of six.
- 19:57Speaker 1: Now in losing the Falcons, I get the sense that
- 20:00Speaker 1: Todd Bowles is very frustrated with his defense and is
- 20:04Speaker 1: basically calling them out. And we'll see how they respond
- 20:07Speaker 1: against a Panthers team that can be very good certain weeks,
- 20:12Speaker 1: can be very bad the other weeks. They are a
- 20:14Speaker 1: tough team to figure out. But no matter what They're
- 20:16Speaker 1: not a great offensive team. Yes, they scored thirty one
- 20:19Speaker 1: against the Rams a couple of weeks ago. That was
- 20:22Speaker 1: a big turnover game for the Rams. Yes they scored
- 20:24Speaker 1: thirty against the Falcons, but the Falcons have a terrible defense.
- 20:28Speaker 1: But you know, they're also a team that lost seventeen
- 20:30Speaker 1: to seven to the Saints. They're also a team that
- 20:32Speaker 1: lost twenty to nine to the forty nine ers in
- 20:34Speaker 1: Week twelve, and then last week they lost too to
- 20:37Speaker 1: the Saints. Again, they got swept by the Saints. They
- 20:40Speaker 1: lost twenty to seventeen. So this is not a great
- 20:43Speaker 1: offensive team. If the Panthers allow twenty some odd points
- 20:48Speaker 1: to uh, I'm sorry. If the Bucks allowed twenty some
- 20:50Speaker 1: odd points this game to the Panthers and lose, then
- 20:53Speaker 1: it's gonna legitimize what Todd Bowles said. And then you're
- 20:57Speaker 1: gonna look at the Panthers is now being in the
- 21:00Speaker 1: driver's seat for the NFC South. Now, remember these two
- 21:03Speaker 1: teams play each other twice in the next three weeks.
- 21:07Speaker 1: It's kind of like the way the Eagles go Commanders,
- 21:09Speaker 1: Bills Commanders. Well, for these two teams, they're playing Sunday,
- 21:14Speaker 1: and they're playing it again in two weeks, and obviously
- 21:16Speaker 1: all those times are to be determined now. The Panthers
- 21:19Speaker 1: in between have to play the Seahawks. The Bucks in
- 21:23Speaker 1: between have to play the Dolphins. So the Bucks could
- 21:27Speaker 1: afford to lose this game and still probably win. But
- 21:31Speaker 1: you lose this game, you get to seven and eight.
- 21:33Speaker 1: That means you've lost six of your last seven, with
- 21:35Speaker 1: only a win over the Cardinals, a three point win
- 21:37Speaker 1: over the Cardinals. I'm telling you, you lose this game.
- 21:40Speaker 1: I don't have much faith. I'd have more faith than
- 21:43Speaker 1: the Panthers figuring it out than the Buccaneers if the
- 21:46Speaker 1: Bucks lose this game. I felt the Bucks were gonna
- 21:49Speaker 1: win this division all season long. I felt that when
- 21:53Speaker 1: they went through their November struggles, losing to the Patriots,
- 21:57Speaker 1: the Bills, and the Rams, that that was mainly because
- 21:59Speaker 1: of their injury issues. No Bucky Irving, no Chris Godwin,
- 22:04Speaker 1: no Mike Evans. But I can't get I mean, they've
- 22:06Speaker 1: got guys back now, although they're healthy. Baker Mayfield is
- 22:10Speaker 1: a little banged up, but there's really no excuse. I
- 22:13Speaker 1: think they're the better team. But that's because the Panthers
- 22:17Speaker 1: some days look like the worst team of football and
- 22:19Speaker 1: other days look like a really good team and I
- 22:21Speaker 1: can't figure them out. It'll be a great game. And again,
- 22:24Speaker 1: they play each other two times in the next three weeks.
- 22:27Speaker 1: But right now, right now, because a schedule, it's more
- 22:30Speaker 1: important for the Panthers to win the game because they'll
- 22:32Speaker 1: have to play the Seahawks next week. But just for
- 22:35Speaker 1: overall belief, if the Bucks lose this game, it's hard
- 22:39Speaker 1: to believe in them to be able to finish this
- 22:41Speaker 1: thing off and win the division. And even if they do,
- 22:43Speaker 1: you're gonna say you're gonna get bounced by the fifth seed.
- 22:48Speaker 1: You might get whacked at home by about twenty points
- 22:50Speaker 1: in that game. The other big games obviously, you know,
- 22:56Speaker 1: the AFC East is up for grabs here, and by
- 22:58Speaker 1: the way, I forgot to mention that, just to look
- 23:01Speaker 1: at it from a sportsbooks stand of view or standpoint,
- 23:05Speaker 1: the Bucks are three point favorites in Carolina, so I
- 23:11Speaker 1: think that's pretty interesting. So getting back to AFC East,
- 23:14Speaker 1: we know Buffalo by beating the Patriots, that pulled within
- 23:17Speaker 1: a game of the Patriots. The Bills are in Cleveland.
- 23:20Speaker 1: They can't afford to slip up. I don't think they will.
- 23:22Speaker 1: They're ten and a half point favorites. They're on a
- 23:25Speaker 1: roll right now. They've been a little wonky all year.
- 23:28Speaker 1: So I do have my eye on this game saying,
- 23:30Speaker 1: are the Bills gonna just completely let down like they've
- 23:33Speaker 1: done a couple of times this year. I don't think
- 23:35Speaker 1: they will. We'll see, But obviously that puts the pressure
- 23:38Speaker 1: on New England because New England's in Baltimore. Baltimore's coming
- 23:42Speaker 1: off their shutout win over the Bengals. They are still
- 23:47Speaker 1: reeling from their loss two weeks ago to the Steelers.
- 23:50Speaker 1: They're trying to win this AFC North that seemingly nobody
- 23:55Speaker 1: wants to win. Baltimore is seven and seven, Pittsburgh eight
- 24:00Speaker 1: and six, all right, Pittsburgh's got a tough game too.
- 24:03Speaker 1: They're playing the Lions in Detroit, all right, So this
- 24:07Speaker 1: is an opportunity for Baltimore to bridge that game. But
- 24:10Speaker 1: they've got to be a Patriots team that just had
- 24:13Speaker 1: a ten game win streak snapped last week by the
- 24:15Speaker 1: Patriots losing to the Bills. They're gonna be hungry. They're
- 24:18Speaker 1: still a very good team. Their strength of victory is
- 24:21Speaker 1: still very low, three forty four. It's the worst among
- 24:24Speaker 1: all of the teams both either NFC or AFC in
- 24:28Speaker 1: the playoffs. I'm sorry, no, San Francisco's three sixties. No. Yeah,
- 24:32Speaker 1: New England's three forty four strength of victory is the
- 24:35Speaker 1: lowest among any team right now that is in a
- 24:38Speaker 1: playoff seed. So that just lets you know that the
- 24:43Speaker 1: Patriots have kind of benefited from a cake schedule. So
- 24:45Speaker 1: this will be a huge game. Can they go to
- 24:47Speaker 1: Baltimore and win this game? I think they can. You know,
- 24:52Speaker 1: it's just been a very weird year for Lamar Jackson.
- 24:54Speaker 1: He's been hurt, he's been the flu, he's been this,
- 24:57Speaker 1: He's been that. They don't run the ball extraordinarily well.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Their defense has let down. I mean they run the ball,
- 25:04Speaker 1: okay for having Derrick Henry, but they don't run the
- 25:06Speaker 1: ball the way the Ravens typically run the ball, which
- 25:11Speaker 1: has been strange for them. Their defense was very good
- 25:15Speaker 1: against the Bengals and a twenty four to nothing shut out,
- 25:18Speaker 1: but that's because of some turnovers. It's not like the
- 25:21Speaker 1: Bengals couldn't move the ball at all. It wasn't like that.
- 25:25Speaker 1: In fact, the Bengals had real issues on third down,
- 25:28Speaker 1: but they were three for five on fourth down, and
- 25:31Speaker 1: they did get two hundred and ninety eight yards, so
- 25:33Speaker 1: it wasn't that's not great, But the Ravens only had
- 25:36Speaker 1: three hundred and seventeen yards, so the yardage disparity wasn't
- 25:40Speaker 1: as big as the final score disparity at twenty four
- 25:45Speaker 1: to nothing. So very interesting game. I think it's going
- 25:52Speaker 1: to be fantastic because each team, the Patriots and the Ravens,
- 25:57Speaker 1: really need it. If the Patriots lose in the win,
- 26:01Speaker 1: then it's uh oh, then you got a very interesting
- 26:03Speaker 1: finish there in the AFC East. Right If the Ravens win,
- 26:09Speaker 1: and especially if the Steelers lose to the Lions, then
- 26:14Speaker 1: you got a really interesting AFC North finish. Either way,
- 26:17Speaker 1: it's gonna be really fantastic. The last two weeks for
- 26:19Speaker 1: the AFC North and the AFC East are gonna be
- 26:22Speaker 1: very vital. Now, however, if the Patriots win and they
- 26:26Speaker 1: go to twelve and three and the Bills, even if
- 26:29Speaker 1: the Bills win at eleven four, it's gonna put a
- 26:31Speaker 1: whole lot of pressure on the Bills to be able
- 26:33Speaker 1: to win the division. So I would say a Patriots
- 26:36Speaker 1: win here would probably make the drama in the AFC
- 26:39Speaker 1: East a lot a lot different. You know, Patriots win,
- 26:43Speaker 1: they're gonna be in in good hands there, but definitely
- 26:46Speaker 1: two really interesting games to look forward to on the schedule. Hey,

- 30:27Speaker 1: Cammedn Apothecary, top quality cannabis, great prices, and an experience
- 30:32Speaker 1: made for Philly fans twenty one and up. And then
- 30:35Speaker 1: you got Jacksonville at Denver. You know, Denver is playing
- 30:38Speaker 1: such great football. They are clearly right now the best
- 30:42Speaker 1: team in the AFC. I don't think there's any question
- 30:45Speaker 1: about it. They're twelve and two, that they've lot. They
- 30:47Speaker 1: were one and two, now they're twelve and two. So
- 30:49Speaker 1: they've won twelve straight games. You know what I like
- 30:53Speaker 1: to say, the more games you win in a row,
- 30:56Speaker 1: the closer you get to your next loss. Which is true. However,
- 31:01Speaker 1: this Jaguars team. Let me first give my Mia Kolpa.
- 31:06Speaker 1: I have called the Jacksonville Jaguars frauds all year long.
- 31:09Speaker 1: I have said I don't believe in them. I said
- 31:11Speaker 1: their offense is a train wreck and that they are
- 31:13Speaker 1: saved week in and week out by their defense. And
- 31:16Speaker 1: when they traded for Jacoby Myers, sending two picks to
- 31:19Speaker 1: the Las Vegas Raiders, I said that they were nuts.
- 31:23Speaker 1: That they should have been sellers because they weren't gonna
- 31:26Speaker 1: win anything this year. They should have been sellers and
- 31:28Speaker 1: tried to rebuild this team and this offense, and ever
- 31:32Speaker 1: since they have basically they've won. Well, I think they won.
- 31:36Speaker 1: They lost to the after the trade deadline. They lost
- 31:39Speaker 1: to the Texans, okay, and that put them at five
- 31:42Speaker 1: and four, and then they have now won five straight
- 31:45Speaker 1: games to get the ten and four, including now they
- 31:48Speaker 1: beat the Chargers. They beat them badly, thirty five to six.
- 31:51Speaker 1: They beat the Colts thirty six nineteen. Although the Colts
- 31:54Speaker 1: have been in a free fall, we know that their
- 31:57Speaker 1: other wins have been okay. You know, you beat the Jets,
- 31:59Speaker 1: to beat the Tighter, to beat the Cardinals, those are
- 32:01Speaker 1: teams you should beat. But I have to give them
- 32:04Speaker 1: their respects. Now, if you're that good, go in and
- 32:09Speaker 1: beat Denver, because Denver has won all these games in
- 32:12Speaker 1: a row. They're bound for a letdown. Something's gonna happen.
- 32:15Speaker 1: And if you win, you get to eleven and four
- 32:20Speaker 1: and you have a chance if New England loses, to
- 32:21Speaker 1: get to the two seed. Plus you have a chance
- 32:24Speaker 1: at ten and four right now to get to eleven
- 32:26Speaker 1: and four and get the Texans off your back because
- 32:28Speaker 1: the Texans are only one game behind. The Texans are
- 32:32Speaker 1: nine and five, and guess what you've lost to the
- 32:36Speaker 1: Texans this year. You're one in one, so you don't
- 32:38Speaker 1: have any tiebreaker against them. And the Texans got it
- 32:41Speaker 1: easy this week they get the Raiders. So the Texans
- 32:43Speaker 1: are definitely getting a ten and five. So if the
- 32:46Speaker 1: Jaguars lose to the Broncos, then you got a tie
- 32:51Speaker 1: between the Texans and the Jags, And that makes the
- 32:53Speaker 1: AFC South very very interesting over the last two weeks.
- 32:58Speaker 1: And who would that favor. Well, all I know is
- 33:01Speaker 1: the Texans end the year against the Chargers and the Colts,
- 33:05Speaker 1: all right, the Jaguars end of the year against the
- 33:08Speaker 1: Colts and the Titans. Feels like those are both winnable
- 33:11Speaker 1: games for both. So this might come down to a
- 33:13Speaker 1: conference record for both these teams. But if the Jags
- 33:17Speaker 1: win this game. That makes it if the Jazz lose,
- 33:23Speaker 1: and that if the Jags lose and the Texans win,
- 33:27Speaker 1: then it's gonna come down to those two weeks. So
- 33:29Speaker 1: it's be very It's gonna be interesting. Regardless. Do I
- 33:32Speaker 1: like Jacksonville to beat the Broncos, I don't. I just
- 33:35Speaker 1: think that the Broncos have a very, very very good defense,
- 33:39Speaker 1: and Jacksonville's offense is coming along. I think baseieal Touton's
- 33:43Speaker 1: gonna be out. That's their rookie running back that they
- 33:45Speaker 1: try to use. Jacoby Myers has come through. Brian Thomas
- 33:48Speaker 1: Junior has played a lot better. Their offense has looked
- 33:51Speaker 1: better over the last few weeks. I have to give
- 33:54Speaker 1: them that credit. You know, they scored forty eight against
- 33:56Speaker 1: the Jets, they scored thirty six against the Colts, and
- 33:59Speaker 1: we're coming off a game in which Trevor Lawrence threw
- 34:03Speaker 1: five touchdowns in ran for a touchdown. Now, that's not
- 34:06Speaker 1: gonna happen every week, folks, obviously, I know that, right.
- 34:10Speaker 1: So that makes me kind of feel like maybe the
- 34:13Speaker 1: Jaguars are peaking offensively a little too really, as they're
- 34:16Speaker 1: going feeling their oats a little too really, going into
- 34:18Speaker 1: this Broncos game, but we will see Broncos win. They
- 34:22Speaker 1: get to thirteen and two, and it'll be a twelve
- 34:24Speaker 1: game win streak and they will clearly establish themselves as
- 34:28Speaker 1: the best team in the AFC. Doesn't mean they're gonna
- 34:30Speaker 1: win the AFC, but they've been the best team in
- 34:33Speaker 1: the AFC for most of the year and this would
- 34:36Speaker 1: be another really good statement win for them. They are
- 34:40Speaker 1: favored to win this game by three and a half.
- 34:45Speaker 1: And then the Monday night game is really interesting because
- 34:47Speaker 1: the Niners will be going to the Colts. You gotta
- 34:50Speaker 1: give Philip Rivers a lot of credit. He kept them
- 34:53Speaker 1: in that game last week, gave him a chance to win,
- 34:56Speaker 1: put them ahead, and then obviously the Colts lose on
- 34:59Speaker 1: the field goal by the Seahawks. Jason Myers, We've won
- 35:02Speaker 1: a great game. What a great job by Philip Rivers
- 35:05Speaker 1: to go in there, control the line of scrimmage. Can't
- 35:06Speaker 1: throw the ball very far, but he plays the game
- 35:10Speaker 1: like he did when he was, you know, in his prime.
- 35:13Speaker 1: I mean he's gonna he's gonna dump it off to
- 35:16Speaker 1: his tight end, he's gonna hit his running bag, he's
- 35:18Speaker 1: gonna thread some windows. I mean, he's not gonna put
- 35:20Speaker 1: the ball very far down the field. He's about forty
- 35:23Speaker 1: something years old, but he can give them a chance.
- 35:25Speaker 1: The Colts just have to be able to play good
- 35:27Speaker 1: defense and run the ball. Meanwhile, the forty nine Ers
- 35:32Speaker 1: continue to roll, They continue to win the games that
- 35:34Speaker 1: they are supposed to win. They are every bit alive
- 35:37Speaker 1: in the NFC West. They've had a cake schedule, that's okay,
- 35:43Speaker 1: They've had a ton of injuries that they've navigated. They've
- 35:46Speaker 1: won four in a row. And if they go win
- 35:48Speaker 1: this game against the Indianapolis Colts, they get to eleven
- 35:52Speaker 1: and four, and that's significant for them because that puts
- 35:56Speaker 1: them still alive in the NFC West. Remember, they've beaten
- 35:59Speaker 1: the Sea already once this year, they've beaten the Rams
- 36:03Speaker 1: already once this year, and they end the year against
- 36:08Speaker 1: the Seahawks. So if they can stay within a game
- 36:10Speaker 1: of the Seahawks and then get to that season finale
- 36:13Speaker 1: and somehow pull it off, then amazing the forty nine
- 36:16Speaker 1: Ers could wind up as a top seed in the NFC.
- 36:21Speaker 1: Hard to believe, right, hard to believe. But their schedule
- 36:24Speaker 1: goes Colts, Bears, Seahawks, so a very interesting three games
- 36:29Speaker 1: stretch in which the forty nine ers could eventually become
- 36:32Speaker 1: the number one seed. I don't see that happening. Or
- 36:35Speaker 1: the forty nine ers could be bounced out of the
- 36:37Speaker 1: playoff picture all together. That would take a monumental collapse,
- 36:42Speaker 1: and you know, then you'd have to see if Detroit
- 36:45Speaker 1: can win out and leap program. But just an interesting
- 36:49Speaker 1: scenario where the forty nine ers are right now. Unfortunately
- 36:52Speaker 1: for them, they can never stay healthy. I know Piercel's
- 36:55Speaker 1: banged up. They never got Brandon Ayuk back. With a
- 36:58Speaker 1: mess of a situation, that is, they're leaning heavily on Kittle,
- 37:02Speaker 1: on McCaffrey, who has had an unbelievable year. It's like
- 37:06Speaker 1: the most or the least discussed storyline. Remember how two guys, right,
- 37:12Speaker 1: two guys in the NFCUS going into the season opener,
- 37:16Speaker 1: people were biting their fingernails. Matthew Stafford had a back
- 37:19Speaker 1: injury that kept him out almost all the training camp,
- 37:22Speaker 1: and then right before the season opener, McCaffrey was questionable
- 37:26Speaker 1: because of a calf injury I believe it was, and
- 37:28Speaker 1: everybody said, oh no, not the calf again. That's what
- 37:31Speaker 1: kept him out pretty much all last year and all
- 37:34Speaker 1: McCaffrey has done, has had an unbelievable year. Stay healthy.
- 37:38Speaker 1: He's one of the leading receivers in the NFL and
- 37:42Speaker 1: leading rushers in the NFL. His yards from scrimmages through
- 37:45Speaker 1: the roof. He's that an unbelievable year. And you know
- 37:48Speaker 1: when Kittle plays, he's great, and the running game is great.
- 37:51Speaker 1: Black Purty has come back and played well. And you
- 37:55Speaker 1: have to just give Robert Sell all the credit in
- 37:57Speaker 1: the world. He has lost every good player he's had
- 38:00Speaker 1: on defense, from Nick Bosa to Fred Warner. Lost some
- 38:03Speaker 1: guys a free agency. Bryce Houff been banged up. They
- 38:07Speaker 1: really are making it work almost with like bubble gum
- 38:09Speaker 1: and popsicle sticks. And here they are at ten and four,
- 38:12Speaker 1: So good for them. A nice story. Hasn't been a
- 38:16Speaker 1: cack schedule, sure, but you know what, they're eight and
- 38:19Speaker 1: two in the NSCA. They have the best record against
- 38:22Speaker 1: NFC teams than any other team right now. That is
- 38:26Speaker 1: actually it's just any team in the NFC. They have
- 38:29Speaker 1: the best record in the NFC. Hard to believe that
- 38:32Speaker 1: it would be the forty nine ers I'm really interested in. Obviously,
- 38:38Speaker 1: the Chiefs at the Titans. Because the Titans are at
- 38:43Speaker 1: home and there are three point undrugs. The Chiefs have
- 38:45Speaker 1: everybody out. Obviously, this will be the first game without
- 38:47Speaker 1: Pastor Mahomes and the ACL injury. I think we're schid right.
- 38:50Speaker 1: Rice is banged up, the offensive line is still banged up,
- 38:54Speaker 1: and Tennessee comes to play. Tennessee doesn't have a lot
- 38:57Speaker 1: of wins, but they try to make it difficult. They're
- 39:00Speaker 1: not sitting there trying to lay over for anybody. You know,
- 39:04Speaker 1: they'll win a couple of weeks ago against the Browns,
- 39:06Speaker 1: and I think that there's an opportunity here for Tennessee
- 39:10Speaker 1: with a defense that's pretty good, to be very disruptive
- 39:13Speaker 1: against Gardner Minshew led Kansas City with a banged up
- 39:16Speaker 1: offensive line, banged up offense, banked up guys on defense.
- 39:21Speaker 1: I saw the last time I looked at the Kansas
- 39:23Speaker 1: City Chiefs injury report, I think they had like seven
- 39:24Speaker 1: guys out, including Mahomes. Obviously, so kind of interested in
- 39:29Speaker 1: that game just to see if the Chiefs just go
- 39:32Speaker 1: completely in the tank. Not to suggest their tanking, I
- 39:34Speaker 1: just mean if that they go in the tank, then
- 39:36Speaker 1: they lose their next few games because they're eliminated, and
- 39:40Speaker 1: because they have nobody left to play Chargers Cowboys, that's
- 39:45Speaker 1: an interesting game. You know, the Cowboys are technically still
- 39:49Speaker 1: in it. They have to win out. They're one and
- 39:50Speaker 1: a half point favorites the Chargers week in and week out. Continue.
- 39:54Speaker 1: That's another team I've been wrong about, rule right about,
- 39:56Speaker 1: but wrong about. I said that their offense would be
- 39:58Speaker 1: no good after they their offensive tackles, and that hasn't been.
- 40:02Speaker 1: You know, they did beat the Raiders thirty one to fourteen,
- 40:05Speaker 1: but that was after they lost thirty five to six
- 40:07Speaker 1: to the Jaguars. Then they played the Eagles and that
- 40:10Speaker 1: was not an offensive mastermind display. They won twenty two nineteen,
- 40:15Speaker 1: and then they beat the Chiefs last week sixteen to thirteen.
- 40:18Speaker 1: Their defense is that good. I just felt like it
- 40:20Speaker 1: was asking too much of this defense to win games
- 40:23Speaker 1: week in and week out, and maybe it will be.
- 40:26Speaker 1: Maybe they will not be able to hold up against
- 40:28Speaker 1: the Cowboys in Dallas. We'll see if they win the game.
- 40:31Speaker 1: You got, If they win the game, the Chargers will
- 40:34Speaker 1: have won four straight. They'll be eleven and four. They'll
- 40:37Speaker 1: end the season against the Texans and Broncos, and that'll
- 40:40Speaker 1: be very difficult. But you have to give Jim Harbaugh,
- 40:43Speaker 1: Jesse Minter, the defensive coordinator, he'll get a job a
- 40:46Speaker 1: lot of credit. They have fooled a lot of good quarterbacks.
- 40:50Speaker 1: They have played excellent defense, have gotten a good pass
- 40:53Speaker 1: rush there on the back end with Derwin James. They've
- 40:56Speaker 1: been able to take really good quarterbacks and make them
- 40:59Speaker 1: look gorder andy. And if they're going to win this thing,
- 41:02Speaker 1: and as far as they go, it's gonna be on
- 41:04Speaker 1: their defense because right now offensively they're just average. To me,
- 41:09Speaker 1: it's gonna hurt him. It's gonna catch up to them.
- 41:12Speaker 1: I mean, it looks like they'll be in the playoffs.
- 41:14Speaker 1: I don't know if they'll win a first round playoff
- 41:16Speaker 1: game if their defense has to basically win it, but
- 41:20Speaker 1: we'll see. I gotta give them their credit. They have
- 41:22Speaker 1: done very well. But it is telling that the Cowboys
- 41:25Speaker 1: are one and a half point favorites in this game
- 41:28Speaker 1: Miami four and a half point favorites over Bengals. That's
- 41:31Speaker 1: only interesting because to Tunga Tonguat Violoa is benched. Quinn
- 41:36Speaker 1: Ewers will get the start. I didn't love quinn Ewers
- 41:38Speaker 1: coming out of Texas. They kind of leap frog him
- 41:41Speaker 1: over Zach Wilson here to make a start. The Bengals
- 41:44Speaker 1: are four and a half point favorites in Miami. I
- 41:47Speaker 1: think it's gonna be kind of a rough go but
- 41:49Speaker 1: some for the Dolphins. But sometimes you see a quarterback
- 41:52Speaker 1: change spark an offense, So maybe something will happen with
- 41:56Speaker 1: the Dolphins there, you know. On the other side the Bengals,
- 41:59Speaker 1: and there's a lot of talk about Burrow and just
- 42:01Speaker 1: losing faith in the Bengals, maybe wanting to be out.
- 42:04Speaker 1: He's gonna finish out the string, he's gonna start. They
- 42:07Speaker 1: want to try to establish some momentum. We'll see if
- 42:10Speaker 1: they can against Dolphins. I got my eye on Saints
- 42:14Speaker 1: and Jets because Tyler Shuck has played well. I mean
- 42:18Speaker 1: he's played well for a rookie and the Saints. The
- 42:21Speaker 1: Saints are six and a half point favorites over the Jets.
- 42:24Speaker 1: The Saints have done an excellent job of not only
- 42:27Speaker 1: developing Tyler Shuck along the way here over the last
- 42:30Speaker 1: five to six weeks, but they've won two in a row.
- 42:33Speaker 1: They've upset two teams that are trying to win the division.
- 42:36Speaker 1: In the Buccaneers and Panthers back to back weeks. Now
- 42:39Speaker 1: they're four and ten and they get Jets, Titans, Falcons. Honestly,
- 42:44Speaker 1: they could finish seven and ten, and maybe that would
- 42:48Speaker 1: mean the Saints don't need to go and look for
- 42:50Speaker 1: a quarterback. Maybe Tyler Shuck will be that guy, and
- 42:53Speaker 1: I may not be Joe Montana and Tom Brady. But
- 42:56Speaker 1: if they can win and feel comfortable and then build
- 42:59Speaker 1: the rest of the team around it, maybe become a
- 43:01Speaker 1: run team, maybe become a defensive team like they used
- 43:05Speaker 1: to be. I just think it's really interesting that they're
- 43:07Speaker 1: six and a half point favorites over the Jets and
- 43:09Speaker 1: if they win the love one three in a row
- 43:11Speaker 1: with a chance to get to five in a row
- 43:14Speaker 1: by the end of the year. And good job by
- 43:16Speaker 1: Kellum Moore there, excellent job. The Vikings are at the Giants, man,
- 43:23Speaker 1: the Giants really need to win, you know. The Vikings
- 43:25Speaker 1: are two and a half point favorites. JJ McCarthy's playing better.
- 43:28Speaker 1: His touchdown celebrations are bothering his head coach, though, I
- 43:31Speaker 1: think that's kind of weird on the head coach's part.
- 43:33Speaker 1: But whatever. The Giants, though, they need to win. They
- 43:37Speaker 1: just they need some kind of went. If they lose
- 43:39Speaker 1: this game, they're getting closer and closer to wrapping up
- 43:42Speaker 1: that number one pick. I mean, they've lost eight games
- 43:47Speaker 1: in a row now, nine, No eight, I'm sorry eight.
- 43:53Speaker 1: Some of them were against difficult teams. But you know,
- 43:55Speaker 1: what are you gonna do? You gotta win again. They
- 43:57Speaker 1: lost the Commanders last week twenty nine, twenty one killed
- 44:00Speaker 1: by the Patriots. Yeah, they've played a tough schedule, and
- 44:02Speaker 1: it seems like week after week you go through these
- 44:04Speaker 1: losses Broncos, Eagles, Niners, Bears, Packers, Lions, Patriots. That's brutal.
- 44:11Speaker 1: They're always playing a team that's better than them. But
- 44:14Speaker 1: by the same token, they lost to the Saints in
- 44:15Speaker 1: Week five when the Saints were starting Spencer Rattler, and
- 44:19Speaker 1: here comes the Minnesota Vikings team. They're banged up on defense,
- 44:22Speaker 1: they're banged up a left tackle. It's a good chance
- 44:24Speaker 1: for the Giants to pull out a win as an
- 44:27Speaker 1: underdog at home, but I don't have a lot of
- 44:29Speaker 1: faith in them. I don't know how you could Falcons
- 44:34Speaker 1: at Cardinals. You know, the Falcons are coming off that
- 44:38Speaker 1: big win against the Bucks. Now they're playing a terrible
- 44:41Speaker 1: Cardinals team in Arizona, the three point favorites. The shame
- 44:44Speaker 1: of it, as Raheem Morris said last week, is that
- 44:47Speaker 1: we're not gonna be able to see Bejhon Robinson in
- 44:49Speaker 1: the playoffs because he is truly, in my mind, the
- 44:52Speaker 1: best running back in the NFL. Just watching him as
- 44:55Speaker 1: much as I have this year, he just checks off
- 44:58Speaker 1: every single bo do everything. He may not be the
- 45:01Speaker 1: best at a best running back at any one specific thing,
- 45:07Speaker 1: but he's good at every single thing. And he is
- 45:10Speaker 1: their offense. And you know, these are two teams, two
- 45:13Speaker 1: birds that will not be in the playoffs. I talked
- 45:16Speaker 1: about Pittsburgh Detroit. Pittsburgh has done a nice job. They've
- 45:20Speaker 1: proven me wrong. I thought they were frauds. But you
- 45:22Speaker 1: can't go into the you need to win, and you're
- 45:25Speaker 1: going into against a Lions team that is very hungry
- 45:28Speaker 1: trying to prove that they can win out. Pittsburgh got
- 45:30Speaker 1: some injuries. To me, the biggest thing about the Steelers
- 45:34Speaker 1: is that they're not gonna have her Big and they're
- 45:35Speaker 1: not gonna have a lot, so they're gonna have a
- 45:38Speaker 1: real tough time on indoor surface rushing the passer and
- 45:42Speaker 1: when you have tough time rushing the passer against the
- 45:44Speaker 1: Lions and Jared Goff, it's tough to win. So they
- 45:47Speaker 1: better be tight on defense. The Steelers, they better have
- 45:49Speaker 1: a plan because without those two pass rushers, it might
- 45:52Speaker 1: be a really long afternoon for them. Houston talked about them.
- 45:57Speaker 1: They're playing the Raiders. They're fourteen and a half point
- 45:59Speaker 1: five favorites. They've been on a roll. They're scoring, they're
- 46:02Speaker 1: moving the ball well, not explosive. It's weird. They get
- 46:06Speaker 1: explosive plays, but as an offense, they're not still not
- 46:08Speaker 1: great and consistent, but they probably won't have to be
- 46:11Speaker 1: to beat the Raiders. I don't know if I would
- 46:15Speaker 1: put money on them to cover the fourteen and a half,
- 46:18Speaker 1: just because the Texans don't score a ton of points.
- 46:20Speaker 1: But this if any team's gonna give up, you know,
- 46:24Speaker 1: enough to lose by more than two possessions to the Texans,
- 46:27Speaker 1: it would be the Raiders. And that's it. I've gone
- 46:30Speaker 1: through already the other games, and it'll be a fun
- 46:33Speaker 1: Saturday and Sunday of football watching. You guys know that
- 46:36Speaker 1: I've been awful with my picks. I'm even starting to
- 46:39Speaker 1: lose my ground when I was number one, and I
- 46:41Speaker 1: pick them where I pick every game. I've got a
- 46:44Speaker 1: sixth place, still better than I do on this show.
- 46:47Speaker 1: Last week I went one and two. That seems to
- 46:49Speaker 1: be what I do every week. I lost on the
- 46:51Speaker 1: Chiefs six and a half point favorites over the Chargers.
- 46:54Speaker 1: I lost on the Panthers. I took them two and
- 46:56Speaker 1: a half points favorite over the same points. Obviously, the
- 47:01Speaker 1: both those teams lost out right. I did win on
- 47:04Speaker 1: the Cardinals' not. SORRY i won on The texans with
- 47:07Speaker 1: the big number against The cards nine and a half
- 47:09Speaker 1: point favorites over The. Cardinals they won by, twenty SO
- 47:11Speaker 1: i won on that, too at a one and. Two
- 47:14Speaker 1: that brings my grand total to seventeen and twenty eight
- 47:18Speaker 1: for the. Year i've been. Terrible what CAN i. Say
- 47:20Speaker 1: i'm not gonna run from. It this. WEEK i like
- 47:23Speaker 1: The titans getting three at home against The. CHIEFS i
- 47:25Speaker 1: just think The chiefs are so banged up and The
- 47:28Speaker 1: titans are still playing. Hard you're giving The titans some
- 47:30Speaker 1: points at. Homes they're at, Home they're gonna be motivated
- 47:33Speaker 1: because The chiefs team with so many Out, Yeah i'll
- 47:35Speaker 1: take The titans with the POINTS i like The lions
- 47:37Speaker 1: at home against The. Steelers the numbers is a little
- 47:40Speaker 1: bit big, seven but again with The steelers missing what
- 47:44Speaker 1: they're missing on, defense in the pass rush and even
- 47:46Speaker 1: on the offensive, LINE i think this is a good
- 47:48Speaker 1: spot for The lions to get a win and probably
- 47:51Speaker 1: win by more than a. Touchdown AND i like The
- 47:54Speaker 1: patriots getting three points on the road against The. Ravens
- 47:58Speaker 1: DO i think The ravens can? Win, YEAH i could
- 48:00Speaker 1: see them winning by last second field will go by.
- 48:02Speaker 1: One BUT i could also see The patriots winning this,
- 48:05Speaker 1: game getting the big play back in their offense and
- 48:08Speaker 1: winning this game by a touchdown or more because The
- 48:10Speaker 1: ravens have been very. Inconsistent so give me The patriots
- 48:13Speaker 1: getting three points In. Baltimore that's gonna do. It for
- 48:17Speaker 1: The inside The Birds week sixteen, Preview it's gonna be
- 48:20Speaker 1: a great week of. Football saturday And sunday always. Is
- 48:24Speaker 1: have a great. One next TIME i see you guys
- 48:27Speaker 1: will be After, christmas so please have happy, Holidays Merry,
- 48:31Speaker 1: Christmas Happy. Honikah AND i was always enjoy your football
- 48:35Speaker 1: watching
