A psychiatric nurse testified in court about finding Michael Foley dead in his apartment, surrounded by congealed blood — a scene far worse than any previous encounter with the man who struggled with alcohol but was otherwise independent. The trial of 33-year-old Daniel Hourigan, accused of severely beating Foley and causing head injuries, is underway, with prosecutors presenting CCTV footage showing Hourigan and another person entering Foley’s home on January 31, 2024, and leaving the next morning — and a knife allegedly found in a bag he carried, later recovered by a bus worker.
