- 0:06Speaker 1: Hello, My Loves, Welcome back to the Give Them While
- 0:08Speaker 1: a podcast. We are recording bright and early from the Birmingham,
- 0:12Speaker 1: Kent Households.
- 0:13Speaker 2: How do I like recording here?
- 0:17Speaker 1: Do you like recording this lately?
- 0:21Speaker 2: No?
- 0:22Speaker 1: I mean I was shocked when the text came through
- 0:25Speaker 1: that the arrival for production would be eight am, and
- 0:28Speaker 1: Easton responded.
- 0:31Speaker 2: I am of service here and there.
- 0:36Speaker 1: We're glad you're learning that in your program.
- 0:39Speaker 2: I'm up if I need to be.
- 0:42Speaker 1: I mean, the whole reason we're recording so early is
- 0:45Speaker 1: because Ocean. It's basically the last week of spring break,
- 0:49Speaker 1: and I get a text from one of the moms
- 0:53Speaker 1: whose kid is in Ocean's class, and she said, I'm
- 0:55Speaker 1: doing a party for the girls that's like a goodbye
- 1:00Speaker 1: spring break and it's at ten thirty. Let me tell
- 1:04Speaker 1: you a ten thirty am party That is my vibe
- 1:08Speaker 1: out with a bunch of kids and moms. Now, once
- 1:13Speaker 1: you start telling me it's mom's night out, dinner's at seven, eh.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Have a good night.
- 1:19Speaker 1: I like social time in the ten thirty hours, so
- 1:21Speaker 1: I want to be the one to take her. And
- 1:22Speaker 1: that's why we're recording so early. So I hope you're
- 1:25Speaker 1: awake enough to be like participating in the pod.
- 1:29Speaker 2: I really am. I'm not even tired.
- 1:31Speaker 3: I'm thinking about everything that we have to.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Do today, and it's mentally exhausting.
- 1:37Speaker 1: What do we have to do?
- 1:38Speaker 2: Well, I just have a bunch of stuff, just things
- 1:40Speaker 2: that I want to do everything. Yes, yeah, I told you.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Do you think things? Okay? Do you think on the
- 1:46Speaker 1: list of things to do? You can?
- 1:48Speaker 2: Your car is on there. I'll beat you to the punch.
- 1:50Speaker 1: All you guys. My car is such a disgrace and
- 1:54Speaker 1: I don't know why. It's like, the one thing that
- 1:57Speaker 1: I never want to do is wash a car.
- 1:59Speaker 2: But why is it so dirty?
- 2:02Speaker 1: Well, we've gone to the desert. We had a really
- 2:05Speaker 1: fun time.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Hurts Castle.
- 2:08Speaker 1: What did you call it?
- 2:10Speaker 2: Hurst Castle?
- 2:11Speaker 1: I thought you said Hurts. You know, I was calling
- 2:13Speaker 1: it Hurts for a long time, and I I blame
- 2:16Speaker 1: that on the fact that the Eagles won the Super
- 2:18Speaker 1: Bowl and it hurts and he was I was.
- 2:23Speaker 3: Putting Hurt's Castle or Hurst's Castle, and it kept putting
- 2:29Speaker 3: it into Hart's Castle.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Okay, we don't even notice.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Let's let's I telled everybody I was going to Hart's Castle.
- 2:37Speaker 2: People were like this, dumb ass, fucking idiot.
- 2:39Speaker 1: I have so many thoughts on that castle. By the way,
- 2:42Speaker 1: we're gonna get into it all. First, I want to
- 2:45Speaker 1: talk about what I did before we left to go
- 2:49Speaker 1: on this little road trip. I had a playdate, well,
- 2:53Speaker 1: Ocean had a play date, but it was kind of
- 2:54Speaker 1: a play date for me too. I don't know about
- 2:57Speaker 1: you guys and the moms out there, but as I've
- 3:00Speaker 1: gotten older, I really really and I'm sure you wouldn't
- 3:04Speaker 1: know this by the way I come across on like
- 3:07Speaker 1: the podcast or come across on TV. But I'm a
- 3:12Speaker 1: very guarded person and I have a really hard time
- 3:17Speaker 1: making new friends, trusting people. I'm just like pretty closed off.
- 3:22Speaker 1: And there are these two moms. One of one of
- 3:26Speaker 1: the moms I met because her daughter was put in
- 3:29Speaker 1: Oceans dance class, and I just immediately connected with her
- 3:34Speaker 1: because she was kind of just like sitting on the
- 3:37Speaker 1: bench watching the kids, and I'm like, she seems like
- 3:40Speaker 1: my type of vibe. She's not in the mix, and
- 3:43Speaker 1: I'm not really in the mix, so we connected. The
- 3:46Speaker 1: other mom is a mom I know because her daughter's
- 3:51Speaker 1: in Oceans class, like dance class. The one mom, but
- 3:54Speaker 1: the other one is in like the school class and
- 3:58Speaker 1: she takes dance as well. So they knew each other,
- 4:01Speaker 1: these two moms, and we were like, we should like
- 4:04Speaker 1: have a play date with the kids aka playdate for
- 4:06Speaker 1: the moms, because it is so hard to make friends.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Well it's just said this age.
- 4:11Speaker 3: Yeah, and it's almost like, I don't even care if
- 4:13Speaker 3: you like the kid, I like the mom, go play
- 4:15Speaker 3: with the kid.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Well what's great is Ocean likes both of the kids
- 4:18Speaker 1: like a lot, and I like the moms, and it's
- 4:22Speaker 1: nice to just go and have like normal conversations. As
- 4:26Speaker 1: much as I adore the mom friends that I have,
- 4:30Speaker 1: we're all in the same world and a lot of times.
- 4:34Speaker 1: And I think I also gained this with age where
- 4:39Speaker 1: the things that I used to kind of get off
- 4:41Speaker 1: on and care about in conversation no longer fuel my soul.
- 4:46Speaker 1: I don't care about what's going on on Instagram. I
- 4:49Speaker 1: don't care about you know, the bubble that that we've
- 4:52Speaker 1: all been a part of for so long. Like I'm
- 4:55Speaker 1: just craving something a little bit different. So having this
- 4:58Speaker 1: play date for myself was very there's.
- 5:01Speaker 2: A meaning behind it.
- 5:02Speaker 1: It was very fulfilling that I like that for you. Yeah,
- 5:05Speaker 1: and just the conversations that came with it had nothing
- 5:09Speaker 1: to do with like the bubble that I've been in
- 5:12Speaker 1: for so many years.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Yeah, it was like free conversation.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Yeah. We talked about like their marriages and and their
- 5:20Speaker 1: kids and what they struggle with. And I left just
- 5:22Speaker 1: feeling like, why am I so on cloud nine right now?
- 5:26Speaker 3: Because you guys all had a productive conversation of things
- 5:29Speaker 3: going wrong in your guys's life and you felt like
- 5:33Speaker 3: you're all in the same boat together, that no one's
- 5:37Speaker 3: life is perfect.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Because that's how most people leave. You go hang out
- 5:40Speaker 2: with these people and they're like my husband, my kids,
- 5:43Speaker 2: DA DA DA, peaches and roses, and then you leave thinking, well,
- 5:46Speaker 2: why isn't mine? And then you feel bad about yourself,
- 5:48Speaker 2: but then you don't think it.
- 5:50Speaker 3: But then she's just lying about everything, and it's like,
- 5:53Speaker 3: here's she just the metaphorical.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Metaphorical bitch's just lying her ass?
- 5:57Speaker 1: Hold on, who are we are? We were free some.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Specific we can not do that.
- 6:03Speaker 3: But it's just like people just fucking blow smoke up
- 6:06Speaker 3: everyone else's ass of their own delusional life of how
- 6:11Speaker 3: perfect it is, making other people feel bad and empty
- 6:14Speaker 3: as they're leaving and now you just had a conversation
- 6:17Speaker 3: of how empty all of you are and now how
- 6:19Speaker 3: full you feel?
- 6:19Speaker 1: Right, I thought it was the opposite. I felt it
- 6:21Speaker 1: was very well rounded and balanced. It was all of
- 6:24Speaker 1: the things that we struggle with. But on the other hand,
- 6:27Speaker 1: it was like all of the things that are like.
- 6:29Speaker 3: So great exactly, but how it's like how funny that,
- 6:32Speaker 3: like everything that you struggle with and your cup being
- 6:35Speaker 3: half full.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Yeah, all of you.
- 6:38Speaker 3: Guys talking about it just made your cup full because
- 6:41Speaker 3: you're like, we're all struggling together, you're not alone.
- 6:44Speaker 2: And that's the blowing the smoke up.
- 6:46Speaker 3: The one girl, the metaphorical bitch who's just a CNX Tuesday, is.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Just riled up. He's riled up about it.
- 6:55Speaker 3: Like that's how I feel like when you go and
- 6:57Speaker 3: you're like, my life is shit right now, and then
- 6:59Speaker 3: somebody else is like mine is two, and you're like,
- 7:02Speaker 3: let's just fucking talk about how shitty it is together,
- 7:04Speaker 3: and then you leave and you're like, oh my god,
- 7:07Speaker 3: I feel so full.
- 7:07Speaker 2: It's so great. I'm full of shit.
- 7:11Speaker 1: I don't know if he says talking about his personal life,
- 7:14Speaker 1: but I actually left feeling very fulfilled. And from there
- 7:21Speaker 1: I came home, I packed the kids and we went
- 7:24Speaker 1: on what can only be described to me as a
- 7:27Speaker 1: road now.
- 7:27Speaker 2: No, we drove to Florida and back with felt like
- 7:30Speaker 2: I'm not kidding you.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Hurst Castle is in. Do you say Cambria or Cambria.
- 7:35Speaker 1: I've been saying Cambria. I don't care.
- 7:37Speaker 3: I had a girl in my class named Cambria, same spelling,
- 7:42Speaker 3: but my gosh, I.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Knew a Cambria as well, and both of her sisters
- 7:46Speaker 1: are married to nflx NFL players.
- 7:48Speaker 3: Yeah, probably the same Cambria.
- 7:54Speaker 1: But on the way there, it was like a three
- 7:56Speaker 1: and a half hour drive, so we stopped off because
- 7:58Speaker 1: I talked to one of my friends the play day
- 8:00Speaker 1: and she said, are you guys going to the Madonna In?
- 8:02Speaker 1: And I was thinking, obviously, probably what you guys are thinking,
- 8:06Speaker 1: like Madonna the singer. No, there is this place, you guys,
- 8:10Speaker 1: and I highly recommend it's the Madonna In. But it
- 8:15Speaker 1: was basically it was founded by this guy, Alex and
- 8:19Speaker 1: Phyllis Madonna in nineteen fifty eight. Right, like, the wife
- 8:23Speaker 1: is working on Highway one oh one and she sees
- 8:25Speaker 1: this property, she goes to Alex and is like, oh
- 8:27Speaker 1: my gosh, we should start an inn. And she had
- 8:29Speaker 1: this vision. So you you're literally on Highway one oh
- 8:34Speaker 1: one and you see the sign and you would think like, oh,
- 8:37Speaker 1: how random and weird. It's an iconic landmark. You can
- 8:42Speaker 1: actually stay there. It's a motelish hotel. There was no
- 8:47Speaker 1: vacancy when we stopped off, but we were only going
- 8:49Speaker 1: to the steakhouse. You guys, please take this opportunity to
- 8:53Speaker 1: google the Madonna.
- 8:54Speaker 2: In now it I. It feels like you're on drugs.
- 8:59Speaker 2: When you're walk in, You're like, oh my.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Gosh, everything is pink gold.
- 9:05Speaker 2: Yes, so fun.
- 9:07Speaker 1: I was looking for the word, like how to describe it,
- 9:10Speaker 1: and I'm like, it's not I googled it's kitchi.
- 9:15Speaker 2: It's kitchi.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Yeah, like it's got a kitchy type of charm to it.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Where well will you please describe kitchen?
- 9:23Speaker 1: Well, let me google it. Let me google the term the.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Word for me and anybody else not know. I've heard
- 9:30Speaker 2: the word. It's kitchi.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Kitchi. It's of art objects or design considered to be
- 9:36Speaker 1: in poor taste because of excessive garishness, but sometimes appreciate
- 9:42Speaker 1: it in an ironic or knowing way a kitchy souvenir shop.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Hearst's Castle is KITCHI.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Not at all. No, No, but this place Madonna in
- 9:54Speaker 1: was no. Hearst Castle was full of antiques, and yeah
- 10:00Speaker 1: it was excessive, but I would not call it kitchie
- 10:03Speaker 1: like the Madonna in seemed I don't kitchen. It wasn't cheap,
- 10:07Speaker 1: but it didn't seem like you couldn't touch anything. Yes,
- 10:10Speaker 1: like hers castle, you literally could not touch anything. Ocean
- 10:15Speaker 1: stepped off the carpet that they called the yellow Brick Road,
- 10:18Speaker 1: and someone came up and said, sweetheart, please don't step
- 10:21Speaker 1: off step on the wood four, which I was glad
- 10:26Speaker 1: he did because I'm like, finally somebody else discapplining yes,
- 10:29Speaker 1: and she listened, which was great. Anyway, I highly recommend.
- 10:33Speaker 1: But as I'm sitting there and it was popping, y'all,
- 10:35Speaker 1: it was poppin'. We got there at five o'clock, but
- 10:39Speaker 1: I just could not help but look at our table
- 10:41Speaker 1: and then look at everyone else's table. That made total sense.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Like you would look to your left a group of
- 10:46Speaker 1: girlfriends clearly celebrating something.
- 10:49Speaker 2: Yeah, there, if you saw a guy, he.
- 10:51Speaker 3: Was with his girlfriend right like everyone Julie tables full.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Of women right and then but every everyone made sense.
- 11:01Speaker 1: And then you see a man and a woman and children,
- 11:05Speaker 1: husband and a wife and kids. You look at our table.
- 11:09Speaker 1: We've got take a poll. What to make of our table?
- 11:14Speaker 1: It was my mom, Kristin, her best friend, because we
- 11:18Speaker 1: went to celebrate her birthday Landon, Landon Easton, me and
- 11:23Speaker 1: two kids. And by the way, if you followed us,
- 11:27Speaker 1: if you followed us further into Cambria where that was
- 11:31Speaker 1: our final destination.
- 11:33Speaker 2: The room situation, the room situation.
- 11:35Speaker 1: I stayed with my two kids, Mom and Kristen shared
- 11:38Speaker 1: a room, and you and land And shared a room.
- 11:41Speaker 1: What the hell is going on? Okay, you've got a
- 11:43Speaker 1: lesbian couple, a gay couple, and then this random woman.
- 11:46Speaker 3: And then the random woman with two kids who had
- 11:48Speaker 3: just fell into it. She was like, I just went
- 11:50Speaker 3: to school. I found a gay couple in an old
- 11:52Speaker 3: lesbian couple, and here I am.
- 11:55Speaker 1: It's so weird and random, and I just keep looking
- 12:00Speaker 1: at my life being like, wow, it's so uncommon, but
- 12:05Speaker 1: to me it's the most common thing. Like oh, like
- 12:09Speaker 1: I make to me, I make all this sense. Of course,
- 12:12Speaker 1: this would be my baby from a baby daddy, and
- 12:14Speaker 1: then I'm so scarred that I went and got a donor.
- 12:16Speaker 1: And this is my brother, his best friend, and my
- 12:18Speaker 1: mom and her best friends. This is just how we roll.
- 12:21Speaker 1: This is called the pod. Okay. But to anyone else
- 12:24Speaker 1: looking in, you just.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Pick them up as we go. We're like the long arms.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Oh what is that?
- 12:31Speaker 2: Like the thing of oil? It's like that.
- 12:34Speaker 3: Uh, it's the ark machine and it oils itself and
- 12:38Speaker 3: it has to keep itself alive.
- 12:40Speaker 2: That's us, just grabbing things to keep ourselves alive. Oh,
- 12:43Speaker 2: just new pod friends.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Hey, it's a lot out there, it is, and it's
- 12:48Speaker 1: you've got to hunt. You've got to swim one hundred
- 12:50Speaker 1: and fifty miles a day. And to be a part
- 12:53Speaker 1: of a pod is a luxury. But the more people
- 12:56Speaker 1: are part of the pod, the better you will do.
- 12:59Speaker 1: You will flourish in the ocean of life. That's how
- 13:03Speaker 1: I like it. Thank you, I appreciate it. So let's
- 13:12Speaker 1: get into this uh cursed castle situation. So you guys,
- 13:17Speaker 1: we we get to Cambria, which is another forty minutes.
- 13:20Speaker 1: And keep in mind, I adore my mother more than anything. Okay,
- 13:23Speaker 1: let's just put that out there as I know she's listening,
- 13:28Speaker 1: but she has no concept of a seven month old
- 13:31Speaker 1: and what that means and entails. We get to dinner
- 13:34Speaker 1: at five, so so usually goes down between six fifteen
- 13:38Speaker 1: and six thirty. We still have another forty five minutes
- 13:42Speaker 1: to an hour drive to get to I think we
- 13:45Speaker 1: stayed at what Ocean Point ranch, like a little mot
- 13:49Speaker 1: in Cambria. So I'm telling her that, you know, like
- 13:53Speaker 1: we got to get it move in. But you guys,
- 13:54Speaker 1: she just ordered a cup of decaf, and Landon's finishing
- 13:57Speaker 1: up his Martine.
- 13:59Speaker 2: And there is still and jumps to be.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Helly gift shops. So I go put the kids in
- 14:05Speaker 1: the car, thinking that like everyone's going to start making
- 14:07Speaker 1: their way out as well. Easton comes down and he's like,
- 14:09Speaker 1: all right, bitch, let's go, And I'm like, where's the
- 14:11Speaker 1: rest of the crew. They're going to stay in shop? Okay, great,
- 14:14Speaker 1: get in the car. Easton and I are having a heyday.
- 14:17Speaker 1: We need to do that. We need to kick it,
- 14:19Speaker 1: the two of us.
- 14:19Speaker 3: We did, but you have no idea you putting the
- 14:22Speaker 3: kids in the car, me walking out and walking back
- 14:28Speaker 3: in and just saying like hey, laws, just with the kids.
- 14:31Speaker 2: But just like be timely, yea, because she's got kids, Lisa, we've.
- 14:35Speaker 1: Got the kids to be timely. Because she's got kids.
- 14:38Speaker 2: You know, like we need to leave if you forgot
- 14:41Speaker 2: we've got kids. So I go.
- 14:43Speaker 3: She's halfway up the stairs of the Madonna and looks
- 14:47Speaker 3: directly at Land and he goes, we'll.
- 14:49Speaker 1: Let's go with you. We'll let's go with you.
- 14:52Speaker 3: And she goes and you can go with law and
- 14:54Speaker 3: I go, okay, not another word said.
- 14:57Speaker 2: She just walked right up those stairs. Things done. She
- 15:00Speaker 2: could not get in that gift.
- 15:03Speaker 1: I love how I'm looked at as the woman in
- 15:05Speaker 1: the group who has some baggage, and it's like rude.
- 15:10Speaker 2: So I did got that.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Lauren that stays with us. She's got two kids. She's
- 15:14Speaker 1: got a buzz kill when you want to shop the
- 15:17Speaker 1: gift shop.
- 15:18Speaker 2: I know, because there's not enough room in your baggage.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Well let me tell you though, Easan and I had
- 15:24Speaker 1: a heyday on this dress, laughing so hard that my
- 15:28Speaker 1: stomach didn't hurt, but like stern, my chest started to
- 15:32Speaker 1: concave and I was like, I'm going to crash the car.
- 15:34Speaker 1: I cannot breathe, and then it dawns on me. My
- 15:39Speaker 1: wallet and Easton's wallet are with Lisa. I have no
- 15:44Speaker 1: credit card. He since I it's fine, I'll read the
- 15:45Speaker 1: credit card to the woman. I go, we have to
- 15:47Speaker 1: have a form of identification in order to check into
- 15:50Speaker 1: the room.
- 15:50Speaker 3: Helloton, bitch, Google me, Google little old me.
- 15:58Speaker 1: So then then I just start laughing again because I
- 16:01Speaker 1: cannot believe that we were so eager to.
- 16:03Speaker 2: Get out that we florindos. Do we turn around? I go, no,
- 16:08Speaker 2: because that will just let them stay longer. Get them out,
- 16:12Speaker 2: Get them out.
- 16:13Speaker 1: It did, get them out, It did, you guys. This
- 16:15Speaker 1: Ocean Point ranch was like the cutest little what would
- 16:21Speaker 1: is it a motel? What's the difference between a hotel
- 16:23Speaker 1: and a motel?
- 16:24Speaker 2: Motel? You walk out of your door and you're outside.
- 16:26Speaker 1: There we go it was a motel. That hotel, which
- 16:29Speaker 1: is most of the place to stay. It's that area.
- 16:34Speaker 3: I mean you're going to you're gonna find motels in
- 16:36Speaker 3: like those areas, Like if you go to like.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Zion National Park, totally hotels.
- 16:41Speaker 3: You go into any of those type of things where
- 16:43Speaker 3: it's not like a huge place, you're going to be
- 16:48Speaker 3: in motels. But I love a good motel, walking out
- 16:50Speaker 3: of your door in your just house.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Yeah, and this isn't like the Best Western, which no
- 16:54Speaker 1: shame on the Best Western. I've stayed at Best Western
- 16:56Speaker 1: all the way.
- 16:58Speaker 2: This was like.
- 17:00Speaker 3: Fifteen foot ceilings inside, like the rooms felt big. I
- 17:04Speaker 3: loved our room like you walked out into like the
- 17:07Speaker 3: a little court yard area with like seats, sun palm trees.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Wire pits, palm trees.
- 17:14Speaker 2: With with pine trees. Yeah, that's my favorite.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Pines by the sea.
- 17:20Speaker 2: And that they did not lie, They did not lie.
- 17:23Speaker 3: There were gorgeous by the sea, pines by the sea,
- 17:26Speaker 3: so much so that even Lauren I talk, we even
- 17:28Speaker 3: had the same thought at the exact same time. I
- 17:30Speaker 3: was like, the one thing that I've never fucking seen
- 17:34Speaker 3: that I actually do want to do is see snow
- 17:38Speaker 3: on the ocean.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Yeah, I've never seen that. Isn't that wild?
- 17:40Speaker 2: Like I want to go to like Washington.
- 17:43Speaker 1: Or just well, even when I've gone north up the coast,
- 17:47Speaker 1: it's always at a time where there's still no snow,
- 17:51Speaker 1: Like you want to go at primo time, Like.
- 17:53Speaker 2: I want it to be snowing one day when we're there.
- 17:56Speaker 1: Oh, that would be legit. By the way, I was.
- 18:00Speaker 1: I'm so happy that we did this because when you
- 18:02Speaker 1: think of California, I feel like so often you think
- 18:05Speaker 1: of the southern California, you're thinking of.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Like the palm trees, beach this.
- 18:09Speaker 3: Yeah, but when this was beautiful, I mean even with
- 18:12Speaker 3: the ocean, you didn't feel like you were in California.
- 18:14Speaker 1: No, you didn't at all. And I've never seen the
- 18:16Speaker 1: Pacific Ocean look like that blue and just like the
- 18:22Speaker 1: backdrop of where we were. It was phenomenal. So that
- 18:26Speaker 1: the next day after we arrived, we go to Hurst Castle.
- 18:29Speaker 1: If you guys have not been to Hurst Castle, unpopular opinion,
- 18:35Speaker 1: I don't think you're missing out.
- 18:37Speaker 2: Yeah, damn, I agree, I.
- 18:40Speaker 1: Think you should. This is why I don't think you're
- 18:43Speaker 1: missing out that far. Let me let me explain though.
- 18:47Speaker 1: This is why I don't think you're missing out. I
- 18:49Speaker 1: feel like it should have been a hotel. So before
- 18:52Speaker 1: we jump into why I feel that way Herst Castle,
- 18:55Speaker 1: it's like the history of it began in eighteen sixty five.
- 18:58Speaker 1: I'm not gonna bore you with a hissye lesson, but
- 19:01Speaker 1: it was George Hurst who purchased forty thousand acres of
- 19:04Speaker 1: ranch land after his mom died in nineteen nineteen. William
- 19:07Speaker 1: Randolph Hurst inherited thousands of acres around San Simeon, and
- 19:11Speaker 1: overtime he purchased more that eventually spread to two hundred
- 19:15Speaker 1: and fifty thousand acres. Now let me tell you this
- 19:19Speaker 1: was considered his like small ranch right because one of
- 19:22Speaker 1: his properties that I believe was in Mexico was one
- 19:24Speaker 1: point six million acres. Like, this place is ginormous.
- 19:29Speaker 2: That had one in Wales. Yes, that was his biggest
- 19:32Speaker 2: wasn't it the one in Wales? Or was I mistaken?
- 19:34Speaker 2: I could have.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Whatever one was, the one point six million acres. But
- 19:38Speaker 1: you go up the most incredible trail to get to
- 19:42Speaker 1: this castle and the view is absolutely stunny. And the
- 19:47Speaker 1: reason he chose this piece of land was because that's
- 19:51Speaker 1: where he was. He would stay in a tent with
- 19:54Speaker 1: his family, and once his family passed, he went into
- 19:57Speaker 1: San Francisco. He found a female arc attacked. He was
- 20:00Speaker 1: like big into female empowerment. His mom was a strong woman.
- 20:04Speaker 1: He goes in and says, life is too short. I
- 20:07Speaker 1: want to build a castle. This is what I'm thinking.
- 20:09Speaker 1: It takes them twenty eight years to build. Keep in
- 20:12Speaker 1: mind the main highways would not come for another seventeen years,
- 20:16Speaker 1: and the next one for another forty years. So this
- 20:19Speaker 1: castle was Now as I'm talking about it, I'm like, wow,
- 20:23Speaker 1: you guys should go see it. I'm pretty incredible. I
- 20:27Speaker 1: wanted to be living in it. That's what I want
- 20:29Speaker 1: to be staying.
- 20:30Speaker 3: Yeah, it tastes an incredible low place to go, and
- 20:33Speaker 3: like how they did it, but like me.
- 20:35Speaker 2: Let me stay in there.
- 20:37Speaker 1: They built this. It took them twenty eight years, like
- 20:40Speaker 1: I said, because they had to go up this mountain
- 20:43Speaker 1: horseback and bring.
- 20:45Speaker 3: All of these heavy, heavy materials like beyond and it's
- 20:50Speaker 3: absolutely stunning and fabulous.
- 20:52Speaker 1: And the pools were insane. Please google Hurst Castle, you guys,
- 20:55Speaker 1: because if you.
- 20:56Speaker 3: Can look up the indoor swimming pool, it is unreal.
- 21:01Speaker 3: There were over over a million.
- 21:04Speaker 2: Tiles placed one at a time by hand.
- 21:09Speaker 1: Yeah, but didn't he think that they were from the
- 21:11Speaker 1: like fourteenth century?
- 21:12Speaker 2: And oh that was different? I think, or was that
- 21:15Speaker 2: the time?
- 21:15Speaker 1: There's the outdoor No, there's the outdoor swimming pool and
- 21:18Speaker 1: then there's the indoor one that's all blue. And for me,
- 21:21Speaker 1: the most incredible thing to see was the stone like
- 21:28Speaker 1: the walkway down the pool you know how you like
- 21:31Speaker 1: climbed down into the deep end of the ladder. These
- 21:34Speaker 1: were like carved stone. They were stunning. But this is
- 21:38Speaker 1: what I don't understand you guys, is they have these villas.
- 21:43Speaker 1: One of them is like around three thousand square feet,
- 21:47Speaker 1: the other one's like forty five hundred. And these pools
- 21:50Speaker 1: are so stunning, the indoor one, outdoor one. The view
- 21:54Speaker 1: is insanity. The acreage is incredible, and all of these
- 21:58Speaker 1: like cows, some zebras. We didn't see anybody that are
- 22:02Speaker 1: roaming around. And you take the tour and there's amazing tapestries,
- 22:07Speaker 1: amazing pieces that I think should be in a different museum.
- 22:12Speaker 3: That's I mean, And that's the gonna be the you know,
- 22:16Speaker 3: your argument right there is like, because I'm in your boat,
- 22:20Speaker 3: I feel like with everything, it's because the architecture could
- 22:25Speaker 3: be the museum, you know, because people could be like,
- 22:28Speaker 3: but that architect like you can't screw with it, that's
- 22:30Speaker 3: the museum inside. People could be like, I love art,
- 22:34Speaker 3: but the architecture is your real art.
- 22:38Speaker 2: Yeah right, And that's where But I.
- 22:40Speaker 1: I know, am I sounding ignorant?
- 22:42Speaker 3: I'm in your boat, so I'll sound it with you.
- 22:45Speaker 3: It is very hard to go up there and to
- 22:49Speaker 3: take in all the views, to feel the presence of
- 22:52Speaker 3: everything that has happened up there, you know, like all
- 22:55Speaker 3: of the great people. It's very hard to just like
- 22:59Speaker 3: walk and not touch anything.
- 23:01Speaker 2: Follow a guy.
- 23:02Speaker 3: It's like, I want to go up there and just
- 23:05Speaker 3: walk the grounds. I would love it to be a hotel,
- 23:08Speaker 3: Like that's the thing. I would love for it to
- 23:10Speaker 3: be a hotel with people, you know, sipping wine, with
- 23:13Speaker 3: like cool fire pits, with the view while the sun
- 23:17Speaker 3: is setting.
- 23:18Speaker 2: Just the whole vibe of it is something that I
- 23:21Speaker 2: wanted more.
- 23:22Speaker 3: Of, right, But I'm like, why don't you just move
- 23:25Speaker 3: the tapestries and all of these things into a museum
- 23:29Speaker 3: and make this a resort.
- 23:33Speaker 1: We sound so fucking we do it, but we do.
- 23:35Speaker 1: But let me tell you, I oh pretty. The Hurst
- 23:42Speaker 1: net worth from Google says that it's about twenty just
- 23:47Speaker 1: a little upwards of twenty two billion dollars. The family
- 23:51Speaker 1: handed over Hurst Castle to the state. They just said,
- 23:57Speaker 1: here you go, it's a donation. Take it, which I
- 24:01Speaker 1: think is very strange. I mean, the upkeep alone would
- 24:04Speaker 1: cost so many millions of dollars a year, so I
- 24:07Speaker 1: understand that part. However, there's just there's something about when
- 24:14Speaker 1: you're when you're talking about art and history, you cannot
- 24:18Speaker 1: make someone have an appreciation for those things. Our grandmother
- 24:23Speaker 1: would do a tour of the museum back in Utah
- 24:27Speaker 1: every Friday. She loved art, she loved history. I had
- 24:32Speaker 1: access to going to amazing places and doing the museum tours,
- 24:38Speaker 1: and there was just something that I was like, this
- 24:40Speaker 1: is really cool that I've seen this. But to say
- 24:43Speaker 1: that I was in awe, it just you can't teach that.
- 24:48Speaker 1: You can't make someone have a love for it. I
- 24:51Speaker 1: can appreciate it, I don't have a love for it.
- 24:54Speaker 1: So for you and I, it's like, donate the goods
- 24:56Speaker 1: inside to a museum and for me have p people
- 25:00Speaker 1: a basic room at fifteen two thousand dollars a night,
- 25:05Speaker 1: the villas your ten thousand dollars a night, spa, treatments.
- 25:08Speaker 1: Like I'm thinking about all of these things, like people
- 25:11Speaker 1: should be coming and enjoying these places, like heavy duty enjoying.
- 25:15Speaker 1: Because twice a year, for people who donate to hers Castle,
- 25:20Speaker 1: they hold a fundraiser. It's one thousand dollars a ticket
- 25:23Speaker 1: and they get to swim in the pool for three hours,
- 25:27Speaker 1: and basically that money goes to underprivileged kids coming to
- 25:32Speaker 1: the castle and touring because they want to teach kids
- 25:34Speaker 1: to have an appreciation for art and history. That goes
- 25:40Speaker 1: back to you cannot teach that someone either has a
- 25:43Speaker 1: love for it and it really is interested or they
- 25:47Speaker 1: just don't. For me, the school system is something we
- 25:52Speaker 1: neglect so much. Take that money and put it directly
- 25:56Speaker 1: into the system for things that they like, truly can
- 26:00Speaker 1: cannot afford updated computers. I mean, we're talking about teachers.
- 26:04Speaker 2: Who instead of a ticket to Hurst's Castle, right.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Like, and for those people who really really are obsessed,
- 26:11Speaker 1: figure out a way to have a program specifically for
- 26:14Speaker 1: those people, and the rest of the money should be spent.
- 26:17Speaker 1: You know, these teachers are trying to afford boxes of
- 26:20Speaker 1: krant so their kids can color. And you're gonna tell
- 26:22Speaker 1: me that we're gonna bring all the kids to hurst
- 26:24Speaker 1: Castle when they may.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Not if not even care.
- 26:27Speaker 3: Only one kid is in there, Like, yes, we're going
- 26:30Speaker 3: all of them are like, what the fuck is her?
- 26:32Speaker 1: Do we sound so ignorant? I know there's so much
- 26:35Speaker 1: history in this.
- 26:36Speaker 3: I'm not a history buff. I can I can appreciate
- 26:40Speaker 3: history but.
- 26:40Speaker 2: Like also I like the structure. The structure is beautiful.
- 26:45Speaker 2: The tapestries fuck out of here.
- 26:48Speaker 1: That was like one of my most favorite parts was
- 26:50Speaker 1: the tapestries.
- 26:51Speaker 3: A lot of things didn't make sense in Hurts Castle
- 26:54Speaker 3: really well. Remember how one of the tapestries was gone
- 26:57Speaker 3: in that big room?
- 26:58Speaker 1: Yeah, where did it go?
- 27:00Speaker 2: And cleaning?
- 27:01Speaker 3: Probably they're telling me that this was all built hand, right,
- 27:05Speaker 3: you see all the grout work. Where the fuck was
- 27:08Speaker 3: the grout work behind that tapestry?
- 27:10Speaker 1: Well easton? This thing was it was?
- 27:12Speaker 2: I don't care.
- 27:13Speaker 1: In nineteen figures, right, we'll.
- 27:15Speaker 2: Make it a hotel if you're already gonna.
- 27:17Speaker 1: And that's the other one in eighteen sixty five, like,
- 27:22Speaker 1: forgive them if they forgot a little grout.
- 27:24Speaker 2: Work or the whole foot tapestry book.
- 27:29Speaker 1: You may not care about it, but you have to
- 27:30Speaker 1: have appreciation.
- 27:31Speaker 2: I mean for the work.
- 27:32Speaker 1: Yes, the hand's son or whatever? Are you kidding?
- 27:37Speaker 2: Yes?
- 27:37Speaker 1: Only twenty feet by twenty feet. I get lost in
- 27:41Speaker 1: my working on it.
- 27:43Speaker 3: Yeah, And to think that all the faces look good,
- 27:45Speaker 3: I would have been they would have got elongated.
- 27:48Speaker 2: That's got lazy to grow up.
- 27:50Speaker 1: I actually changed my mind. I will not not if
- 27:53Speaker 1: it should be a hotel or resort. It should all
- 27:56Speaker 1: stay as is and everyone should go. Wow. I just
- 27:59Speaker 1: talked myself in I didn't want to bring it up myself.
- 28:02Speaker 1: Out of everything.
- 28:03Speaker 2: I just I will say for Sures. When you were like,
- 28:07Speaker 2: you know the villas.
- 28:08Speaker 3: Ten k two grand, I was like, well, no, nobody
- 28:11Speaker 3: can go, but.
- 28:12Speaker 1: But you have to price it extremely high for the.
- 28:14Speaker 2: People who like So back to my point of keep
- 28:18Speaker 2: Hurtz castle.
- 28:19Speaker 1: It takes that much just to keep it running.
- 28:22Speaker 2: There's a lot of land. What's bing something.
- 28:25Speaker 1: Next to it and have a little resort. Wow, we
- 28:29Speaker 1: are money grubbing horse. No, let's just make make more more.
- 28:34Speaker 3: Might say, want to make the money, take my money.
- 28:39Speaker 1: Ethan said they should make a replica. And instead of
- 28:42Speaker 1: like getting it from France, uh, nineteenth century or whatever
- 28:46Speaker 1: the fuck, just get it from Ikia. It's all good.
- 28:49Speaker 1: You can touch the walls.
- 28:51Speaker 2: Fuck yeah, I couldn't touch anything.
- 28:53Speaker 3: There was this way cool. Don't know what it was,
- 28:56Speaker 3: but it was in the dining hall. Yeah, and we've
- 28:58Speaker 3: all seen them. But they're like this eat against the
- 29:01Speaker 3: wall that you still stand, but it has.
- 29:03Speaker 2: Like a bucket for your butt. Remember, they're like church yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 29:07Speaker 2: yeah yeah.
- 29:08Speaker 3: It almost looked like for like the like the servers,
- 29:11Speaker 3: like the people taking care of you know, like the
- 29:13Speaker 3: water killers and stuff, and then they would go and
- 29:16Speaker 3: sit and then keep refilling.
- 29:18Speaker 2: I touched it, and I got in trouble. I was like,
- 29:21Speaker 2: no ship, Charlock.
- 29:23Speaker 1: How many times did they tell us don't feel He said,
- 29:26Speaker 1: feel free to touch? Absolutely nothing? And I listened, because
- 29:30Speaker 1: I'm a virgo and I'm a rule.
- 29:32Speaker 2: Tell me not to touch, I'm gonna touch.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Yeah, you're one of those. The stove is hot, don't
- 29:36Speaker 1: touch it? Fuck that, I gotta find it.
- 29:38Speaker 2: But how hot? Huh? How hot? How hot?
- 29:41Speaker 1: Are we talking finger fingerprints? Gone time hot? Or or
- 29:45Speaker 1: just like a just a little ointment will make it
- 29:48Speaker 1: go away? Before we move on, I do want to
- 29:52Speaker 1: say this. The moment I heard that the Herst family
- 29:57Speaker 1: made their way from the east, I think it was
- 29:59Speaker 1: like boss in streets. So before that time they made
- 30:05Speaker 1: their way west from the east, and all I could
- 30:07Speaker 1: think about was American prime. Ev I have holy shit.
- 30:11Speaker 1: They made it to California.
- 30:14Speaker 3: But did hers did he travel there? Because he said
- 30:16Speaker 3: he stayed there with his family on that hill.
- 30:18Speaker 1: Yeah, But they made their way from.
- 30:19Speaker 3: The east just travel every year to go back and
- 30:22Speaker 3: forth or did they just stay there once they settled.
- 30:25Speaker 1: They left and made their way west, similar to the
- 30:29Speaker 1: woman in American Primeval. But the best part about like
- 30:34Speaker 1: the jaw dropping part, which is what like sat there?
- 30:37Speaker 1: And I was like, oh my god, this is the
- 30:39Speaker 1: most iconic line ever. Who's the old man who Bridger?
- 30:44Speaker 1: For Bridger? It was Bridger. He sits there and the
- 30:46Speaker 1: woman comes in and is like, this is where I'm
- 30:48Speaker 1: trying to go, and he like sits down. He's drawn
- 30:51Speaker 1: in the dirt. He's like, between here and there, you
- 30:54Speaker 1: got your fat and weather. You've also got the Wahsatch Front,
- 30:59Speaker 1: you know, the mountain range. And he's like, and if
- 31:02Speaker 1: neither of those kill you, you got the utes pi
- 31:06Speaker 1: utes sshonies, and you got the war breaking out between
- 31:09Speaker 1: the Mormons and the US government. The fucking hears made
- 31:13Speaker 1: it through that. He survived.
- 31:17Speaker 3: They took the wrong They went around around.
- 31:24Speaker 1: I'm telling you, any you say eighteen whatever, they made
- 31:28Speaker 1: their way you know west. I'm like, holy shit, I'm interested.
- 31:33Speaker 2: You know what.
- 31:33Speaker 3: He's a comedian that talks about it, and he's like,
- 31:36Speaker 3: when people would travel from like the east to the West.
- 31:40Speaker 2: Yeah, people were dying. By the time you got to California,
- 31:43Speaker 2: you were a whole new group of people.
- 31:47Speaker 3: Think of that, Like we're starting through. It's like, all right,
- 31:50Speaker 3: dad's dead, have a kid. I'm dying, kidd'll make it.
- 31:54Speaker 3: K'll have a kid, and you.
- 31:57Speaker 1: You have the kid, cares to keep trucking.
- 31:59Speaker 2: She's like, you know what, let's detour up to Montana.
- 32:02Speaker 1: You know what, Dad wanted to go to California and
- 32:04Speaker 1: it was his dying wish. But fuck that, guys, it
- 32:06Speaker 1: seems a little dangerous one either.
- 32:09Speaker 3: He died before my time, you know, but like how
- 32:12Speaker 3: crazy you get to California and you look back and like.
- 32:15Speaker 2: To the you're Greg. We made it.
- 32:17Speaker 3: You're like Greg and not one person. They're all fucking
- 32:22Speaker 3: dead on the trail.
- 32:26Speaker 1: Okay, So moving on from Hers, I highly recommend Coe Her,
- 32:29Speaker 1: not that I think about it. And I also don't
- 32:32Speaker 1: want to turn into a hotel. Just like that. I
- 32:34Speaker 1: appreciate every piece of art, tapestry, building, strict and tile.
- 32:41Speaker 2: I had to think of me just taking knives to
- 32:44Speaker 2: tap I know.
- 32:45Speaker 3: And you know what, just like that, we've all I'd
- 32:47Speaker 3: be honest though, if you guys do go to Hurst Castle.
- 32:50Speaker 2: Don't do the main rooms first.
- 32:53Speaker 1: Why.
- 32:54Speaker 3: I enjoyed it, but like, I want to just see
- 32:56Speaker 3: those fucking bedrooms kitchens.
- 32:59Speaker 1: Want a bigger tour, want to be larger story like
- 33:02Speaker 1: this sixty five minute because of the kids.
- 33:05Speaker 3: But I mean it was really cool and awesome, but yeah,
- 33:08Speaker 3: I wanted to see more of the whatever.
- 33:11Speaker 1: Let's move on. So I want to talk about because
- 33:17Speaker 1: you guys know I'm obsessed with this. So the pink
- 33:20Speaker 1: moon is happening on Saturday. Okay, April twelve, A full
- 33:26Speaker 1: pink moon will emerge on Saturday, a celestial not to
- 33:30Speaker 1: be confused with celestial seed. I'm GK and Megan Fox's kid,
- 33:34Speaker 1: but it's a celestial event impacting the zodiac signs. Okay,
- 33:40Speaker 1: So according to the Farmer's Almanac, the pink moon reaches
- 33:44Speaker 1: peak illumination at eight twenty two pm. If you guys
- 33:46Speaker 1: are interested, the moon is not going to be pink like.
- 33:52Speaker 1: It's not going to be rose colored unless you put
- 33:55Speaker 1: your rose colored glasses on. But the name stems from
- 33:58Speaker 1: the early spring blue of the creeping flocks, all right,
- 34:03Speaker 1: so how will it impact are a pink cloud not
- 34:09Speaker 1: to be mistaken with a pink cloud, pink moon. Okay,
- 34:15Speaker 1: so let me tell you how this will affect you.
- 34:17Speaker 2: I don't. I'm not even gonna read and tell me how.
- 34:22Speaker 1: So that's aquarius is January twentieth through February eighteenth. Embrace
- 34:27Speaker 1: your uniqueness and embrace your eccentricities. By stepping further out
- 34:34Speaker 1: of your comfort zone, you have numerous opportunities for fun
- 34:37Speaker 1: and new experiences. Travel, academics, and international connections may also
- 34:41Speaker 1: be highlighted for you. This when I read that, was
- 34:45Speaker 1: so happy because you and you've actually started becoming me,
- 34:50Speaker 1: Like when we don't get home at a certain point
- 34:52Speaker 1: in time, you start tweaking out, you don't really want
- 34:56Speaker 1: to go and be out Exactly I'm to say that this.
- 35:02Speaker 3: May out of my comfort zone, Like yes, no, I'm
- 35:08Speaker 3: actually very happy. And what's funny is I've also been
- 35:12Speaker 3: feeling that now really, Yeah, you've already been feeling it
- 35:15Speaker 3: and we're not even to the twelfth Yeah that's great.
- 35:18Speaker 2: Yeah, no, yeah, I've been feeling it.
- 35:20Speaker 1: And guess what's great, Like out of the box. We're
- 35:23Speaker 1: going to be in Las Vegas when this happens, So
- 35:26Speaker 1: what better place to be out and about and and
- 35:31Speaker 1: Vegas brings people from all over the world. You could
- 35:34Speaker 1: get yourself an international connection. Oni, okay, I like it.
- 35:41Speaker 2: Give me Mali, I.
- 35:44Speaker 1: Love that mind you want to hear? Yeah, urgo August
- 35:49Speaker 1: twenty third through September twenty second. My birthday is September second,
- 35:55Speaker 1: is a September third. This is really can be happy.
- 36:00Speaker 1: The pink moon signifies a pivotal moment in your financial situation.
- 36:04Speaker 1: You may experience an influx of funds or make investments
- 36:08Speaker 1: in new plans. For some of you, this could mean
- 36:10Speaker 1: landing a new job, receiving a raise, or signing a
- 36:13Speaker 1: profitable client. I know we're all glued to the television
- 36:18Speaker 1: and our phones with the stock market. We're all a
- 36:21Speaker 1: little bit stressed. I've been making some phone calls this
- 36:25Speaker 1: Monday morning just saying you know what to expect. No
- 36:28Speaker 1: one will here here. The here here is we have
- 36:31Speaker 1: not hit rock bottom yet.
- 36:33Speaker 2: Perfect and even if we do, everybody.
- 36:36Speaker 1: We're all together and guess what we're weathering the storm.
- 36:45Speaker 2: No way but up.
- 36:46Speaker 1: That is the great thing about rock bottom. So that's
- 36:48Speaker 1: what it means for us, Virgos. You guys can absolutely
- 36:51Speaker 1: google what the pink moon is going to mean for
- 36:54Speaker 1: your zodiac sign. I was going to read them all,
- 36:56Speaker 1: but who the hell has the time? Aaron Leech. She
- 37:00Speaker 1: posts a TikTok of herself making a martini while holding
- 37:03Speaker 1: her newborn. Love it and they got she got a
- 37:07Speaker 1: lot of heat. Oh, Mike, you're not supporting the baby's head.
- 37:10Speaker 1: You're not doing this, you guys. It's got to end.
- 37:15Speaker 1: It's got to tech.
- 37:16Speaker 3: No, everybody needs to shut the fuck up. Mind what
- 37:20Speaker 3: happened to the days of minding your own business when
- 37:24Speaker 3: things would happen?
- 37:26Speaker 2: Do you remember that? No? Do you just mind?
- 37:28Speaker 3: Like when you'd see something in the store and somebody
- 37:31Speaker 3: even like back in the day, like kids would be
- 37:34Speaker 3: skateboarding and like they would go and they'd hit like accident,
- 37:38Speaker 3: unless somebody would walk out of the store and they
- 37:39Speaker 3: would actually like hit them, and you'd mind your own business.
- 37:42Speaker 3: Other people weren't going up to the kid and crucifying them.
- 37:45Speaker 3: They would everybody minded their own business. Nowadays, if something happens,
- 37:50Speaker 3: everybody comes on and phones out, and everybody's just mind your.
- 37:54Speaker 1: Own mind your own business. And this woman has three
- 37:57Speaker 1: other children who are fine. I think she's before this
- 38:02Speaker 1: may be mind blowing, but I think she's done it before,
- 38:04Speaker 1: She's done it before. Holy And you guys, back to
- 38:08Speaker 1: people coming from the east to the west giving birth
- 38:12Speaker 1: to babies, You think that they weren't trucking through snowstorms
- 38:17Speaker 1: with babies on their backs.
- 38:20Speaker 2: Just think, think of this should happen.
- 38:23Speaker 1: Sometimes I got it. Accidents happened. But you guys, it's
- 38:26Speaker 1: it's got a freaking end. Like the unsolicited advice.
- 38:30Speaker 3: Do you guys like people telling you how to drive
- 38:32Speaker 3: when you're driving?
- 38:34Speaker 2: No, well, I actually do.
- 38:35Speaker 1: When I see someone on their phone, I lay on
- 38:37Speaker 1: my horn.
- 38:38Speaker 2: And say, well, you shouldn't be on your phone driving.
- 38:41Speaker 2: So that's number one.
- 38:43Speaker 1: No. But the parenting, let's stick to the topic.
- 38:47Speaker 2: But like, that's the thing.
- 38:48Speaker 3: You don't want anybody telling you how you're doing your thing.
- 38:50Speaker 3: You're doing your own way.
- 38:52Speaker 1: It's not like she's making a martini, putting it in
- 38:55Speaker 1: a bottle and shoving it.
- 38:56Speaker 2: In her mouth.
- 38:57Speaker 1: Then absolutely rant in the section. But yo, by the way,
- 39:03Speaker 1: by the way, I'm not producing a lot of milk anymore,
- 39:06Speaker 1: like I can probably there were there was a moment
- 39:10Speaker 1: in time where I was pumping like twenty ounces a day, right,
- 39:13Speaker 1: I was like freaking milky mama going to her making
- 39:18Speaker 1: a martini for herself, guessing she may do a pump
- 39:23Speaker 1: and dump so that she can just like relax a
- 39:25Speaker 1: bit with her martini. Or maybe she's on formula. I
- 39:28Speaker 1: had to get Sosa formula when we were in uh, Cambria. Oh,
- 39:32Speaker 1: shouldn't mess with it in Utah, be in Cambria and
- 39:35Speaker 1: you guys, we were at lunch before heading out yesterday.
- 39:39Speaker 1: Making a bottle at the table was freaking game changing.
- 39:42Speaker 1: I was like, Oh, the moms that choose to do
- 39:45Speaker 1: formula over breastfeeding, Like I got it, like the nutrition
- 39:50Speaker 1: from the tit like got it. Some parents or some
- 39:53Speaker 1: women camb breastfeed. But I'm like, this is the easiest
- 39:56Speaker 1: shit I've ever done. Yeah, water, one couple scoops, shake, shake,
- 40:02Speaker 1: shake in the mouth.
- 40:04Speaker 2: She's silent, done, loved it.
- 40:07Speaker 1: So just like, let her make a martini and hold
- 40:09Speaker 1: her newborn in peace. All right, she's done it before.
- 40:11Speaker 1: I'm so sick of people giving their freaking opinions. Shut up, already, shut.
- 40:17Speaker 2: Up, unsolicited advice. Isn't that it?
- 40:21Speaker 1: Yes, unsolicited advice? Opinions? Shut up already your business unless
- 40:27Speaker 1: you're coming to this podcast page give your advice, drop
- 40:30Speaker 1: the comments. We totally want to hear. We're open to it.
- 40:33Speaker 1: We're opening, We're open to it. Before we sign off,
- 40:36Speaker 1: I really want to get into White Lotus. We talked
- 40:38Speaker 1: a lot about hers Castle. I wasn't expecting it to
- 40:40Speaker 1: go that long. Sorry, did you watch Easton? Didn't watch
- 40:46Speaker 1: any of the season.
- 40:48Speaker 2: I watched the ending.
- 40:49Speaker 1: You watched the finale?
- 40:50Speaker 2: Yeah, it was so great.
- 40:51Speaker 1: I loved it, you guys.
- 40:53Speaker 3: I didn't see any of that coming. I mean with it,
- 40:56Speaker 3: not even like here's the thing, I haven't seen it,
- 41:00Speaker 3: but with everybody who has who I hang out with.
- 41:02Speaker 1: Right clip on, TikTok and Instagram.
- 41:06Speaker 3: I thought it was very well like done and the
- 41:10Speaker 3: writing is just crazy, and all the White Lotuses another
- 41:14Speaker 3: well done.
- 41:15Speaker 1: It was a great season. And let me tell you so,
- 41:17Speaker 1: there was an uproar when like the incestry shit started
- 41:20Speaker 1: happening and people were like, I'm done with HBO or
- 41:24Speaker 1: I'm done with Max, I'm done with White Lotus, like
- 41:27Speaker 1: and then the creator was like, it's all going to
- 41:29Speaker 1: make sense in the very end, like, please don't give
- 41:32Speaker 1: up on us. I love how he stands by every
- 41:36Speaker 1: single move he makes. The first uproar was changing the
- 41:39Speaker 1: theme song, and he was like, don't care what you
- 41:42Speaker 1: guys say, this is why we changed it. And then
- 41:44Speaker 1: people were like, all right, got it. The incestry shit
- 41:47Speaker 1: was a little thought. I went for me too. I
- 41:50Speaker 1: felt that it was I thought that it was unnecessary.
- 41:53Speaker 3: I was just gonna say, seeing landing and all of that,
- 41:56Speaker 3: the incests never even needed to happen, no kind of
- 41:59Speaker 3: put a storyline up.
- 42:01Speaker 1: Well, Locke says, he was like, I'm a people pleaser
- 42:03Speaker 1: and you looked so lonely over there, and I'm I'm
- 42:06Speaker 1: in a family full of narcissists, and I'm like, got it,
- 42:09Speaker 1: but like still didn't need that to happen anyway, moving
- 42:13Speaker 1: on to the finale, I you guys, we took a
- 42:16Speaker 1: poll last week, and I have to say I did
- 42:20Speaker 1: not see Rick's name pop up one time, not once,
- 42:26Speaker 1: And granted I posted that and we did the episode
- 42:30Speaker 1: a short time later. So maybe as the day went
- 42:32Speaker 1: on and more people saw and rodin Rick was on
- 42:35Speaker 1: the list. But again, White Lotus has does an excellent
- 42:40Speaker 1: job of not making it so far fetched that it's
- 42:45Speaker 1: out of reach. You know, like, okay, Rick makes total sense.
- 42:50Speaker 1: You have to assume he was a hit man at
- 42:52Speaker 1: some point in time. That was so crazy how that ended. Yeah,
- 42:59Speaker 1: and the the older man and I forget his name,
- 43:02Speaker 1: walking up to Rick as he's grabbing a donut for
- 43:05Speaker 1: Chelsea and saying, your dad wasn't the man that your
- 43:11Speaker 1: mom said he was. You didn't miss out on much
- 43:15Speaker 1: referring to himself, and Rick thinking like, fuck you, now
- 43:20Speaker 1: you've robbed me of like the image I have of
- 43:23Speaker 1: my dad. It's just so unfortunate that he couldn't say
- 43:29Speaker 1: I know because I'm your dad, because this all could
- 43:32Speaker 1: have been avoided.
- 43:33Speaker 2: Well, Like that's the other thing.
- 43:34Speaker 3: It's like how big of a dick is the dad
- 43:36Speaker 3: to not even say anything and all that, and like
- 43:39Speaker 3: even for him to say, like to flash the gun right,
- 43:44Speaker 3: Like it's almost like you pushed him to this point
- 43:50Speaker 3: like I bet you want to kill me now, huh
- 43:53Speaker 3: and then like flashes the gun. It's like, oh, you're
- 43:56Speaker 3: his father, you're not telling him, and now you're ruining
- 43:59Speaker 3: all of the images you really ask.
- 44:01Speaker 1: On top of like kind of threatening his life.
- 44:04Speaker 3: So and that's where I'm saying, like, at what point,
- 44:07Speaker 3: like did you not push your son to fucking kill you.
- 44:11Speaker 1: Well, no one can ever be pushed to kill anybody.
- 44:14Speaker 1: But what's so heartbreaking is he probably sent the guards
- 44:17Speaker 1: after Rick to bring him back to have like an
- 44:19Speaker 1: actual productive conversation. Then Rick goes up to the woman
- 44:28Speaker 1: begging her he met with her at the very beginning
- 44:30Speaker 1: to like let go of his demons, begging her for help,
- 44:34Speaker 1: and she said, I'll see you in one hour. That
- 44:36Speaker 1: could have changed the course of everything, but then we
- 44:38Speaker 1: wouldn't have a show. I understand that it was Chelsea
- 44:42Speaker 1: dying for me because she I fell in love with
- 44:46Speaker 1: them as a couple, Like I believed that if I
- 44:49Speaker 1: were to go to Thailand right now, I would see
- 44:51Speaker 1: them and her saying like, I'm hope he's pain and
- 44:55Speaker 1: eventually one of us will win. And she dies by
- 44:59Speaker 1: either a bullet that cachet or.
- 45:01Speaker 4: A stray bullet. And he just he ruined everything. He
- 45:07Speaker 4: just could not see what was right in front of him,
- 45:11Speaker 4: and she was so in love with him and in
- 45:13Speaker 4: love with just wanting to fix him, and him saying
- 45:17Speaker 4: that that's the plan, is for us to be together forever,
- 45:20Speaker 4: and she like almost cries because she probably just wanted to.
- 45:24Speaker 1: Hear that, Yeah, oh you guys, I was, I won't
- 45:27Speaker 1: even lie. I almost cried. The other part that I
- 45:31Speaker 1: wanted to sob over was the three women at dinner
- 45:34Speaker 1: and they each say that they love each other, and
- 45:37Speaker 1: then Laurie says, I felt very sad this entire trip,
- 45:42Speaker 1: and then talks about, you know, I've gone through all
- 45:45Speaker 1: the religions, my career, my having children didn't fix me.
- 45:48Speaker 1: You know, love made things worse. And how she loves
- 45:53Speaker 1: that the one woman and I forget her name, has
- 45:57Speaker 1: a beautiful face. The other friend and from Texas, you know,
- 46:01Speaker 1: she loves that she has a beautiful life, and that
- 46:04Speaker 1: Laurie loves that she just gets a seat at the table.
- 46:07Speaker 1: And I'd be lying if I said I did not
- 46:10Speaker 1: get choked up, because there are so many moments where
- 46:13Speaker 1: you look around and you think about your life and
- 46:16Speaker 1: you're looking at it from a thirty thousand foot view
- 46:19Speaker 1: and you're like, this was not the plan. And then
- 46:23Speaker 1: there's little moments that happen and you go, I'm just
- 46:26Speaker 1: so fucking happy to be around, to listen to what
- 46:30Speaker 1: everyone's doing and what they've created, what they've built. They're
- 46:34Speaker 1: hardships that they've survived, and that one just like that
- 46:38Speaker 1: one hit me. I really liked that, she said.
- 46:40Speaker 2: I did too. I thought that.
- 46:43Speaker 3: With everything that was going on, I thought that was
- 46:45Speaker 3: the most beautiful way to write that.
- 46:48Speaker 1: In the writing on, you know. And after she had
- 46:53Speaker 1: just been like fucked over by that Russian guy who
- 46:56Speaker 1: she thought maybe that would make her spirits higher, and
- 46:59Speaker 1: then he wanted ten thousand dollars, she gets back to
- 47:03Speaker 1: her safe space and she's watching them take selfies in
- 47:05Speaker 1: the pool, and those are the moments where you go,
- 47:08Speaker 1: you know what, my life is hard. It's not how
- 47:10Speaker 1: I thought it would turn out.
- 47:11Speaker 2: But at least I get to come back to this.
- 47:13Speaker 1: But look at who I'm surrounded by. So loved that,
- 47:17Speaker 1: and I'll leave it on how disappointed I am. And Belinda, Belinda,
- 47:22Speaker 1: I don't know if you saw season one, but she
- 47:24Speaker 1: approaches Jennifer Coolidge.
- 47:26Speaker 2: Yeah, for the health. She was going to start her
- 47:29Speaker 2: own right.
- 47:30Speaker 1: Yeah, and Jennifer Coolidge was going to invest in it.
- 47:33Speaker 1: And she basically gave the same excuse that Belinda gave
- 47:37Speaker 1: to and I'm blinking on his name too. They were
- 47:41Speaker 1: going to start a wellness spot together, and she's like,
- 47:45Speaker 1: there's just been some change. Five million dollars completely changed
- 47:48Speaker 1: Belinda and everything she wanted. Well, And I have to say, you, guys,
- 47:53Speaker 1: five million dollars, although it is a lot, if you
- 47:55Speaker 1: don't continue to build on that, and you cannot live
- 47:58Speaker 1: like a rock star on five million, A million.
- 48:00Speaker 3: Dollars is a good I mean, that'll get you comfortable
- 48:04Speaker 3: where you can wake up happy. But you have to
- 48:06Speaker 3: invest that well or start doing things you got very frugal,
- 48:10Speaker 3: or you have to invest and start making money on
- 48:12Speaker 3: that money.
- 48:13Speaker 1: I wonder if this is the last we'll see of
- 48:15Speaker 1: Belinda and her five MILLI.
- 48:18Speaker 3: I think so, just because everybody that I've seen has
- 48:20Speaker 3: only gotten two seasons, you know, Okay, well we'll find
- 48:24Speaker 3: for Coolidge, she got one and two her they brought
- 48:26Speaker 3: her back from one.
- 48:27Speaker 2: This is her second. I have a feeling they'll now
- 48:30Speaker 2: get rid of her.
- 48:31Speaker 3: I think that that's one of White Lotus's like things,
- 48:34Speaker 3: is like it's a new cast every time, which I
- 48:36Speaker 3: really like.
- 48:37Speaker 1: How do I get on White Lotus?
- 48:39Speaker 2: Right there?
- 48:39Speaker 1: I want to be a character on White Lotus?
- 48:41Speaker 2: All right? There it is.
- 48:43Speaker 1: I'm going to try to I'm going to try to
- 48:44Speaker 1: hunt the creator down and beg, yeah, well, there you go.
- 48:48Speaker 1: I'm very good at being a squeaky wheel. I just
- 48:50Speaker 1: like and I want to be the killer too. But
- 48:53Speaker 1: why it makes sense?
- 48:57Speaker 2: You gotta be the You got to write your way
- 48:59Speaker 2: into that one.
- 49:00Speaker 1: Yeah. Right, Well, this is me manifesting. Remember the pink
- 49:03Speaker 1: moon is lots of opportunities for.
- 49:06Speaker 2: Me, very pink.
- 49:08Speaker 1: I'm putting it out there, rose colored glasses on manifestation activated.
- 49:14Speaker 1: I have itchy palms. We all know what that means.
- 49:18Speaker 1: Same you, guys. I hope that you enjoyed the finale
- 49:22Speaker 1: of White Lotus just as much as I did. We'll
- 49:25Speaker 1: talk about Part two of Real Housewives a BH on
- 49:30Speaker 1: the next episode. I'm very sorit to talk about it.
- 49:34Speaker 1: Same you guys are the best. Happy hump Day. I
- 49:37Speaker 1: will catch you guys next week. Bye.
