- 0:25Speaker 2: you doing?
- 0:27Speaker 1: Very good, Mark. very good i'm back in florida.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Oh yeah so uh this is not bad in florida
- 0:35Speaker 2: right now it's not uh bumper to bumper yet right
- 0:38Speaker 2: it gets crazy in a month no but.
- 0:40Speaker 1: It's it's it's it's steamy for october but still that's
- 0:44Speaker 1: uh that's better it's getting nippy in uh new england
- 0:46Speaker 1: so i'd rather be down here any day of the
- 0:48Speaker 1: week plus it's just plus it stays late uh light
- 0:52Speaker 1: an hour longer it's it's It's a better place to be, Mark.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Someday you will realize that. No.
- 0:59Speaker 2: With New England, you've got the leaves changing. It's the
- 1:01Speaker 2: most beautiful time of the year in New England.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Isn't it? No. Yeah, but it's what comes after it,
- 1:08Speaker 1: you know? Okay.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Hey, I think Republicans are actually in a pretty good
- 1:15Speaker 2: position for the midterms. You want to be a little
- 1:17Speaker 2: behind right now with momentum. You surge at the end.
- 1:22Speaker 2: That's how President Trump won both times. And I don't,
- 1:25Speaker 2: you think he'll, he'll pull it off this time.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean, I, I don't, I mean, traditionally you lose,
- 1:32Speaker 1: you lose some seats, right. Uh, the, the party that's
- 1:35Speaker 1: in power in a midterm, but you know, I'm just,
- 1:37Speaker 1: I was wondering about, uh, if you've seen, you've seen
- 1:40Speaker 1: though that map of South America since the USA ID,
- 1:45Speaker 1: they stopped, uh, you know, promoting, uh, transgender, uh, operas
- 1:48Speaker 1: in Peru and all these, uh, you know, they were,
- 1:50Speaker 1: they were basically using all these slush funds for left-wing groups.
- 1:54Speaker 1: And the lefties have lost basically the entire continent of
- 1:57Speaker 1: South America. I'm just wondering if the same thing is
- 1:59Speaker 1: going to happen here to a lesser degree.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:02Speaker 1: You know, I mean, like the way they're going after
- 2:04Speaker 1: act blue, I mean, act blue is just a kind
- 2:07Speaker 1: of a domestic version of USA ID. You know, it's only,
- 2:11Speaker 1: it's foreigners that are subsidizing leftists rather than American subsidizing
- 2:15Speaker 1: foreign leftists in South America. It's a, I think they've
- 2:19Speaker 1: put an end to a lot of this crap that's
- 2:23Speaker 1: been going on. And the fact that we have hundreds
- 2:28Speaker 1: of thousands fewer federal workers now, they now have to
- 2:33Speaker 1: get real jobs. They have to go out and produce
- 2:36Speaker 1: goods and services that people want rather than just trying
- 2:39Speaker 1: to hassle people with small businesses and drown them in
- 2:43Speaker 1: red tape. I mean, yeah, I mean, I, I don't
- 2:46Speaker 1: think it might be okay. You know, it might be okay.
- 2:49Speaker 1: I hope the, uh, I hope the Republicans make a
- 2:51Speaker 1: big deal out of these utility rates. I mean, we're,
- 2:54Speaker 1: we're doing it in Massachusetts. Uh, you know, bar Huey's trying,
- 2:57Speaker 1: trying to blame, uh, Trump for the fact that, uh,
- 3:00Speaker 1: you know, our, our, uh, kilowatt hour rate is 30
- 3:05Speaker 1: cents per kilowatt hour compared to 15% for Florida. And
- 3:10Speaker 1: by the way, uh, New York is 29.9 cents compared again,
- 3:15Speaker 1: Twice what Florida is. And they're trying to blame Trump
- 3:17Speaker 1: for all this stuff. But Trump is also the president
- 3:20Speaker 1: of Florida and Utah and Tennessee, where it's even less
- 3:25Speaker 1: than Florida. I mean, how do they get away with this,
- 3:27Speaker 1: blaming Trump for the utility rates? It's insanity.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Yeah, here in New York, it was Andrew Cuomo who
- 3:33Speaker 2: closed Indian Point. That was 25% of our electricity, which
- 3:36Speaker 2: drove the cost up for everybody. So you can blame
- 3:40Speaker 2: him for that.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Yeah, in Massachusetts, I know because people show me the
- 3:45Speaker 1: electric bills. I have a different municipal company. But they
- 3:48Speaker 1: have 10 separate surcharges. And the transmission fee, the transition fee,
- 3:54Speaker 1: the electric vehicle fee, the meter fee. And so now
- 4:01Speaker 1: Mara Healy is starting to feel the heat, the incumbent governor,
- 4:04Speaker 1: so she kills one of the fees. So she kills
- 4:06Speaker 1: it for two months. Wait a second. Wait a second, Mara.
- 4:09Speaker 1: I thought we were saving the planet. I thought these
- 4:12Speaker 1: were existential fees to prevent this. to prevent the polar
- 4:18Speaker 1: bears from becoming extinct. And, you know, to prevent the
- 4:20Speaker 1: flooding of, of, of, uh, you know, Cape Cod. And
- 4:24Speaker 1: now she just says, Oh, we're coming up on an election.
- 4:26Speaker 1: I'm going to cut it. I'm going to cut the, uh,
- 4:28Speaker 1: solar renewable fee for two months. Wait a second. If
- 4:34Speaker 1: two months, why don't we cut it for two centuries
- 4:37Speaker 1: and see how we go?
- 4:39Speaker 2: Uh, Hey, how we car. I have not talked to
- 4:41Speaker 2: you about the Cornell, uh, the handling of it by
- 4:44Speaker 2: the university. Uh, this, uh, governor here putting this goofy
- 4:49Speaker 2: Letitia James in, who's never been a criminal prosecutor, never
- 4:52Speaker 2: prosecuted a criminal case in her life. What do you think?
- 4:56Speaker 1: I don't know. I mean, I remember well the Duke
- 5:00Speaker 1: Lacrosse case, you know, that was fraudulent from day one.
- 5:04Speaker 1: The woman who made the accusations now in prison for murder,
- 5:07Speaker 1: the district attorney went to prison for a day or two.
- 5:10Speaker 1: I mean, look at the UVA case. I mean, just
- 5:13Speaker 1: totally fabricated. The story was too good for Rolling Stone
- 5:16Speaker 1: to check I mean, there's more to it, more to
- 5:19Speaker 1: this one than, than either Duke or UVA. But I mean,
- 5:23Speaker 1: how do you, how do you get a, how are
- 5:25Speaker 1: they going to get a conviction when they have, when
- 5:27Speaker 1: they have her saying it was consensual? You know, I mean,
- 5:31Speaker 1: doesn't that, aren't they going to get at least one
- 5:33Speaker 1: or two jurors to, to say, you know, wait a second,
- 5:37Speaker 1: how can you, how can you convict these people beyond
- 5:39Speaker 1: a reasonable doubt if she said it was consensual? And,
- 5:41Speaker 1: and the whole thing with Letitia James, I mean, That
- 5:45Speaker 1: woman should be in prison. I'm with Trump on that one.
- 5:48Speaker 1: I mean, this woman was elected that she was going
- 5:52Speaker 1: to have a bill of attainder, a law that would
- 5:59Speaker 1: only be enforced against Trump. I mean, maybe not technically
- 6:04Speaker 1: a bill of attainder, but that's what it was. And
- 6:06Speaker 1: that's how she got elected. And then she puts this
- 6:08Speaker 1: Zimbabwean woman in charge of just going after Trump. And
- 6:12Speaker 1: in the meantime, she's committed all kinds... kinds of mortgage
- 6:15Speaker 1: fraud i can't believe how many of these democrats get
- 6:17Speaker 1: away with mortgage fraud you know you got adam schiff
- 6:21Speaker 1: you got uh eric swalwell you got letitia james you
- 6:24Speaker 1: got the woman on the federal reserve lisa cook they're
- 6:27Speaker 1: they're all claiming that you know they have two two
- 6:30Speaker 1: primary residences i mean you know i i i know
- 6:34Speaker 1: i couldn't get away with that i don't think you
- 6:36Speaker 1: could either you know normal people can't but we're not democrats.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Yeah Also, she's never been a prosecutor, ever. She's never
- 6:44Speaker 2: prosecuted a criminal case. Before this job, she was a
- 6:48Speaker 2: city council person for years. She was a public advocate.
- 6:50Speaker 1: That's a feature of these Democratic prosecutors, especially females. That's
- 6:55Speaker 1: not a bug. None of them have ever prosecuted anything.
- 6:59Speaker 1: And they're there, they check the box, and then they
- 7:02Speaker 1: just come up. I mean, every press release you've ever
- 7:06Speaker 1: seen from basically any prosecutor, local or federal, I know
- 7:11Speaker 1: federal for sure. It's always been this way, Democrat or
- 7:13Speaker 1: Republican administration. The last line is, all these charges are
- 7:17Speaker 1: allegations and the defendant should be considered innocent until proven guilty.
- 7:23Speaker 1: That's a standard feature, whatever the administration is. And she
- 7:29Speaker 1: goes out there and just says they're guilty. I mean,
- 7:32Speaker 1: you know, I think I think first year law students
- 7:35Speaker 1: would know better to do that.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Wow. Hey, Howie Carr, your protege, Caroline Leavitt, goes on
- 7:42Speaker 2: to be White House press secretary. Now she just made
- 7:44Speaker 2: a deal with Fox. She'll be a contributor. Pretty good,
- 7:47Speaker 2: isn't it?
- 7:48Speaker 1: Yeah. No, I think it's a good deal for her.
- 7:50Speaker 1: You know, I mean, look. You know, she's she's still
- 7:52Speaker 1: not even 30 years old. I don't I don't know.
- 7:55Speaker 1: You know, Fox News is going to make it to
- 7:56Speaker 1: her retirement. You know, I think they're going down the
- 7:59Speaker 1: tubes like like all the rest of, you know, broadcast
- 8:03Speaker 1: or cable media. But, you know, it's a good move
- 8:05Speaker 1: for her for right now. I mean, I think it'll
- 8:07Speaker 1: it'll it'll really work out well. They'll probably build a
- 8:10Speaker 1: studio for her down. She's got a place here in
- 8:12Speaker 1: Florida and she's got a place in New Hampshire and
- 8:15Speaker 1: she goes back and forth. And I think I think
- 8:17Speaker 1: she'll be really good. Don't you?
- 8:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:20Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 8:20Speaker 2: And this is a very, very, very part-time job. When
- 8:23Speaker 2: you're a contributor, you do it from home. You're on
- 8:26Speaker 2: eight minutes, you know, three times a day. It's an
- 8:28Speaker 2: easy job for her. She can still be with her kids. Yeah.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Yeah. So, yeah.
- 8:34Speaker 2: Fox News, by the way, 30th anniversary tomorrow. Pretty good.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Pretty amazing. Yeah. I saw that. I saw that. But,
- 8:41Speaker 1: you know, again, I think their glory days are behind them, though, Mark.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Don't you? Really? I mean, the... cable news is shedding
- 8:48Speaker 1: subscribers so fast.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Yeah although fox news holds up pretty well you know
- 8:52Speaker 2: the five is still doing three and a half million
- 8:54Speaker 2: every day and prime times three million you know cnn
- 8:57Speaker 2: is down to like four or five hundred thousand by
- 9:00Speaker 2: the way the paramount skydance whatever the hell that is
- 9:03Speaker 2: the merger closed officially now so uh what would you
- 9:06Speaker 2: do with cnn would you change it would you switch
- 9:09Speaker 2: it to some other format.
- 9:12Speaker 1: I think you just let it uh slowly wither and
- 9:14Speaker 1: die don't you yeah you know, you know, you don't,
- 9:18Speaker 1: I don't think you need to, you know, I think
- 9:20Speaker 1: part of the deal was the, uh, Ellison said they won't,
- 9:22Speaker 1: they won't bring in the weed killer. They just won't
- 9:25Speaker 1: forget to irrigate it every, every now and again. And it'll, it'll,
- 9:30Speaker 1: it'll shrink, shrink and die of its own account. Don't
- 9:36Speaker 1: you think?
- 9:37Speaker 2: I like that. That's a good strategy.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Let it just be in last place forever. Just to
- 9:42Speaker 2: embarrass itself out of business. That's, A good idea.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Well, everybody, whenever the contracts come up, uh, Anderson, Anderson Cooper,
- 9:49Speaker 1: you know, we finished last paying you $ 10 million. We
- 9:53Speaker 1: can finish last paying you $ 10, 000. Take it or leave it.
- 9:58Speaker 1: I like that.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Hey, everybody get Howie Carr's books. Is Mass Corruption 2
- 10:03Speaker 2: out yet?

- 10:27Speaker 1: from the police. I just took I just took the
- 10:30Speaker 1: documents right out of the court files. And but there's
- 10:33Speaker 1: also some of my old columns in there, too, about
- 10:35Speaker 1: the corruption. And I think it's I think it turned
- 10:38Speaker 1: out pretty well.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a great book. It's got wonderful stories in it.
- 10:41Speaker 2: Just go to Howie Carr show dot com. You can
