- 0:00Speaker 1: Mister New York marks him upon seven ten wr.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Well, Jimmy Fayla. He does a great show right here
- 0:09Speaker 2: on WOR every night nine to Midnight's very funny, very interesting.
- 0:13Speaker 2: You should be listening every weeknight nine to midnight on WOR.
- 0:17Speaker 2: And then on Saturday nights he does the best late
- 0:20Speaker 2: night show in television, the best monologue in television. It's
- 0:24Speaker 2: Saturday nights at ten. It's on the Fox News Channel.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Jimmy Fayla, How you doing well?
- 0:30Speaker 1: I just want to clarify for your listeners that sometimes
- 0:33Speaker 1: I do a show on Saturday night and sometimes they
- 0:36Speaker 1: shoot up the correspondence. Dinner doesn't always go off as plans, all.
- 0:39Speaker 2: Right, So now you went down there because you told
- 0:41Speaker 2: us last week you were going to do a three
- 0:43Speaker 2: hour special coverage of the dinner. You were going to
- 0:46Speaker 2: pre prepare film all kinds of things to use. What happens,
- 0:49Speaker 2: all that stuff you had scheduled to go.
- 0:52Speaker 1: You will find out tomorrow, oh, halfway through the show,
- 0:55Speaker 1: because we're going to wind up airing most of it.
- 0:57Speaker 1: You know, I went, If you remember I was talking
- 0:59Speaker 1: to you last Thursday, I was on my way to
- 1:01Speaker 1: the White House, Yeah, and I went down. I hung
- 1:03Speaker 1: out with the President.
- 1:06Speaker 2: If you remember, you said, oh, I don't think i'll
- 1:08Speaker 2: see him. I said, he'll know you're in the building.
- 1:10Speaker 2: He'll get you in the Oval Office.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Now, there's also there's also the small matter no stre
- 1:16Speaker 1: damas that I might have been playing possum. Let's not
- 1:19Speaker 1: forget that evil. Okay, he didn't like see me on
- 1:23Speaker 1: the loan and be like fail is here, but he was.
- 1:27Speaker 1: To be clear, he was probably one of the top
- 1:31Speaker 1: two funniest people I've ever met. I don't know who
- 1:33Speaker 1: the first person would be. But I was alone with
- 1:35Speaker 1: the President for about twenty minutes in the Oval Office,
- 1:37Speaker 1: just talking about comedy. It's really surreal. And he knows
- 1:42Speaker 1: like my family by name. He was like, your son's
- 1:44Speaker 1: really good looking kid.
- 1:44Speaker 3: What's his name Lincoln?
- 1:45Speaker 1: I said, yeah, And it was so surreal that we
- 1:47Speaker 1: were talking about Lincoln while he was sitting at Lincoln's desk.
- 1:51Speaker 1: He was at Abe Lincoln, you know, behind the Resolute Death.
- 1:54Speaker 1: And I said, it was crazy because you know, I
- 1:56Speaker 1: only went to the White House to get my cocaine
- 1:58Speaker 1: out of the lockers, and there I am talking to
- 2:00Speaker 1: the President.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Well, he's a big fan of yours telling you it's
- 2:04Speaker 2: the best late night show on television. Saturday Night's attend.
- 2:07Speaker 2: President Trump never misses it. So, and what do you
- 2:11Speaker 2: think of the office. He's added a lot of a
- 2:13Speaker 2: decorp to those walls.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Its kind of crowded, in all honesty. He's probably the
- 2:18Speaker 1: only one who went down to Graceland and didn't think
- 2:21Speaker 1: Elvis had a lot of gold on the walls. It's
- 2:25Speaker 1: so bizarre, how just how much is there. It almost
- 2:30Speaker 1: looks like a high end cracker barrel. Like it's obviously
- 2:34Speaker 1: holds more significance because it's the Constitution, as presidential Boston, Winston.
- 2:38Speaker 3: Churchill and all that stuff.
- 2:40Speaker 1: But he is really, like, I mean, accounting for every
- 2:44Speaker 1: inch of that wall. But it looks good, like it's
- 2:47Speaker 1: tastefully spaced out.
- 2:48Speaker 3: It's well hung, so it's nice, but it's busy. It
- 2:52Speaker 3: says a lot happening.
- 2:53Speaker 1: I was trying to take it all in in all honesty,
- 2:55Speaker 1: I couldn't.
- 2:55Speaker 3: I need to go back.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Yeah, so this Saturday night, back to ten o'clock. And
- 3:03Speaker 2: what will you show all that footage you shot at
- 3:05Speaker 2: the White House. There's a lot of good stuff.
- 3:07Speaker 1: There, a good amount of White House stuff, but what
- 3:09Speaker 1: we're really going to show a lot of is the
- 3:10Speaker 1: actual dinner because I was filming on the red carpet
- 3:14Speaker 1: with everybody in the cabinet, a lot of White House members,
- 3:17Speaker 1: a lot of TV stars. I mean, I had Brian
- 3:20Speaker 1: Stelter on for five minutes. Yeah, and we're going to
- 3:22Speaker 1: show that Brian Stelter from the CNN. And it wound
- 3:25Speaker 1: up being a much better hang than you think, because
- 3:27Speaker 1: like when I do those interviews, these people get pretty
- 3:30Speaker 1: comfortable because I'm not trying to like ruin them and
- 3:32Speaker 1: make them look bad. It was a friendly hang. So
- 3:35Speaker 1: he was a good sport. We asked him, you know
- 3:37Speaker 1: who he wanted to carpool with if he had to
- 3:39Speaker 1: carpool with one Fox star? He said Greg Gottfeld, and
- 3:42Speaker 1: then I had to explain to him that he'd have
- 3:44Speaker 1: to drive every day because Gottfeld can't reach the pedals.
- 3:47Speaker 2: But you know, so, yeah, there's CNN MS now, you know,
- 3:53Speaker 2: off the air in real life, they are actually nice,
- 3:55Speaker 2: pleasant people. They just become maniacs when they go on television.
- 3:59Speaker 1: So yes, some of them are off the air nice.
- 4:01Speaker 1: I don't know, like I've never been at a party
- 4:03Speaker 1: and been like man I can't wait till Joe Scarborough
- 4:05Speaker 1: gets here. He's nice enough, Yeah, he's nice enough, but
- 4:10Speaker 1: like you know, there's some of them that can that
- 4:13Speaker 1: get it, that'll come on and play nice. Like to
- 4:15Speaker 1: give you an example, last time I did the Correspondence dinner,
- 4:17Speaker 1: I had Lester Wholt, Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker and they
- 4:20Speaker 1: were fun.
- 4:21Speaker 3: And this time around we didn't see as many of
- 4:24Speaker 3: those types.
- 4:24Speaker 1: But we saw like Triumphy and sold comic Dog was there,
- 4:27Speaker 1: so he came on, and you know, Stelter and a lot.
- 4:31Speaker 1: I mean, the entire presidential candidate cabinet anyway, is on
- 4:35Speaker 1: my show this Saturday. It'll be pretty neat.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Hey tell us about the end of the dinner. I know,
- 4:40Speaker 2: they got the president everybody out of there, but then
- 4:43Speaker 2: how did did a lot of people stay? Did they
- 4:44Speaker 2: sit down, did they finish eating? Where?
- 4:46Speaker 1: Did it actually what happened? Yeah, So they initially thought
- 4:51Speaker 1: the president was going to come back out, because that's
- 4:53Speaker 1: what he told, you know, he said he wanted to
- 4:55Speaker 1: come back out, and so they made an announcement in
- 4:57Speaker 1: the room that the President was going to come back out,
- 4:59Speaker 1: and then Secret Service made a second announcement in whatever
- 5:03Speaker 1: room the President was in that that wasn't an option,
- 5:05Speaker 1: so he headed back to the White House. They declared
- 5:08Speaker 1: that the dinner was over, at which point everybody went
- 5:12Speaker 1: and absconded as much wine and champagne as they possibly could,
- 5:17Speaker 1: which I again I also understand. I mean, these people
- 5:20Speaker 1: were probably all eight drinks into their evening, shooting brakes
- 5:24Speaker 1: out and now what are you gonna do? Just let
- 5:26Speaker 1: him dump all that wine, waste all that wine.
- 5:28Speaker 3: So I wasn't as like, you know, people on.
- 5:31Speaker 1: The internet are like, oh, look at all these people
- 5:32Speaker 1: taking home the booze. But you understand, like the bars
- 5:35Speaker 1: weren't open because they needed to get people out of
- 5:37Speaker 1: the hotel. So it's kind of the funniest thing to
- 5:40Speaker 1: explain to you is that that dinner ended with people
- 5:43Speaker 1: in ball gowns and real glam makeup chugging champagne in
- 5:48Speaker 1: the middle of Connecticut Avenue inside the Hilton.
- 5:50Speaker 2: It was so bizarre, And how does that work? Fifteen
- 5:53Speaker 2: hundred people all come out at once and want their
- 5:55Speaker 2: car from the VLA.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Yeah, there was no chance of that. They were just
- 5:59Speaker 1: on the street. Want to know, a real thing to
- 6:01Speaker 1: a block from the hotel is a place called DC Platinum,
- 6:05Speaker 1: and apparently that's some type of an adult establishment. Well,
- 6:08Speaker 1: it was cold enough and drizzly enough that a lot
- 6:12Speaker 1: of women, like real high end looking women went in
- 6:15Speaker 1: there just because they wanted to get out of the
- 6:17Speaker 1: fricking element.
- 6:19Speaker 3: So they had their.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Glassiest looking crowd of old time in the DC Platinum
- 6:24Speaker 1: Club after that dinner.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Hey, the King was here for a couple of days.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Were you impressed with the king?
- 6:33Speaker 3: You know what, I thought he would have dressed He's
- 6:35Speaker 3: a king.
- 6:35Speaker 1: I thought he would have dressed up. I thought we
- 6:37Speaker 1: would have got maybe a crown, maybe the fur cape.
- 6:40Speaker 3: He kind of gave us the Zelinsky he had showed up.
- 6:43Speaker 3: I mean, he's in a suit, which for the king
- 6:46Speaker 3: is a suit. It's not a big deal.
- 6:47Speaker 1: It's like Zolensky's showing up in his tracksuit, you know.
- 6:50Speaker 1: So I was a little bummed that we didn't get
- 6:52Speaker 1: full king regalia. You know, I was raised Catholic. If
- 6:55Speaker 1: the pope shows up, he don't show up in a suit,
- 6:57Speaker 1: he gives you the pope outfit, you know, and you go, wow,
- 6:59Speaker 1: that the Pope. So the fact that the King didn't
- 7:02Speaker 1: give us full king I almost felt a little slighted
- 7:05Speaker 1: as the country. So I mean, you know, he got
- 7:07Speaker 1: a lot of wise cracks in the Oval office, So
- 7:09Speaker 1: I don't we might have to give the Brits a
- 7:10Speaker 1: wedgie or something.
- 7:11Speaker 2: I don't know. Well, as Trump says, it always says,
- 7:14Speaker 2: doesn't that guy own a dark suit? You think he'd
- 7:16Speaker 2: wear like a dark blue suit, and soa that light
- 7:18Speaker 2: blue thing, but don't. And that speech, you know, when
- 7:23Speaker 2: you talk, when you speak like him and that voice,
- 7:26Speaker 2: everything sounds brilliant, but if you analyze it, there really wasn't.
- 7:30Speaker 2: I mean, if anybody else gave that speech, nobody would
- 7:33Speaker 2: thought would have thought much of it. So uh, not
- 7:37Speaker 2: at all.
- 7:37Speaker 1: You're right about that. He has like that timber because
- 7:40Speaker 1: of his voice and the nobility of the crown. And
- 7:43Speaker 1: so you know he makes a couple of throwaway jokes
- 7:46Speaker 1: and you go, haha, you know, but that is you know,
- 7:49Speaker 1: sometimes it isn't what you say, it's how you say it.
- 7:51Speaker 1: And like when he told Meggan and Harry to get
- 7:54Speaker 1: the hell out of my life, you know, it's you
- 7:56Speaker 1: say it, they listen and they're gone. I like that.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Jimmy Paylo a lot has his wife on the show
- 8:03Speaker 2: that she looks great. She's got a lot of personality,
- 8:05Speaker 2: got a lot of energy, She's fun. Let's say you
- 8:08Speaker 2: were married to Camilla, would you have her on the show.
- 8:11Speaker 2: She doesn't look like a lot of laughs.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Does she? Yeah, listen, I don't you know, I don't
- 8:20Speaker 1: know that Camilla is a cut up? You know what
- 8:23Speaker 1: I'm saying. Like, the one thing about Jenny is you
- 8:25Speaker 1: can make fun of her and it doesn't look mean
- 8:27Speaker 1: because she's so much better looking than I am. Yeah,
- 8:29Speaker 1: so it's kind of it looks like I'm punching up,
- 8:32Speaker 1: you know.
- 8:32Speaker 3: Whereas Camilla, you know.
- 8:34Speaker 1: She has more of like she's more of a roadie
- 8:36Speaker 1: her vibe. Yeah, and yeah, I don't know that she
- 8:39Speaker 1: could roll with it. I mean, in an ideal world
- 8:41Speaker 1: she could, but I doubt it. I mean, and again,
- 8:44Speaker 1: I don't see the King coming on anytime either. To
- 8:46Speaker 1: his credit.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Yeah, so what he got on the show. You can
- 8:51Speaker 2: hear Jimmy Payler tonight and every weeknight nine to midnight
- 8:55Speaker 2: on w o R. It's a really good show, really
- 8:57Speaker 2: funny nine to midnight. What's on tonight's show?
- 9:01Speaker 1: So you're gonna guys are gonna hear from Caroline Sunshine,
- 9:04Speaker 1: who is a former Disney star who went to work
- 9:07Speaker 1: for Trump and the Trump White House, and she has
- 9:10Speaker 1: some interesting stories to tell. And a great young comic,
- 9:14Speaker 1: a girl named Onika McLean who plays all the clubs
- 9:17Speaker 1: here in the city. I want to get her on
- 9:19Speaker 1: my TV show, so I usually have them on the
- 9:21Speaker 1: radio to hang out with them first and just get
- 9:23Speaker 1: to know them better, and then I'll eventually book her
- 9:26Speaker 1: on TV. So Onneika is going to come by and
- 9:29Speaker 1: talk some smacks and probably call me fat for about
- 9:32Speaker 1: ten minutes, which is fine, you know, can I need
- 9:34Speaker 1: the intervention at this point and then we'll be on
- 9:36Speaker 1: TV before you know it.
- 9:37Speaker 3: Ready to go.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Wow. Now he does the best late night show on TV.
- 9:40Speaker 2: It's Friday. It's a Saturday night's at ten, Saturday at

- 10:07Speaker 1: Coming to a taping is like going to a fancy
- 10:09Speaker 1: zoo because you're just there, just observing us in our
- 10:12Speaker 1: natural habitat. And then when the show's over, people take pictures.
- 10:15Speaker 1: They're super friendly, so it is. It's kind of a
- 10:18Speaker 1: well dressed zoo. That's the best way I'd explain it
- 10:20Speaker 1: to you. You're going to be a part of the show.
- 10:22Speaker 1: We're all going to talk to you during the commercial breaks.
- 10:25Speaker 1: We're gonna give you a hard time for no good reason,
- 10:27Speaker 1: and you're gonna laugh.
- 10:28Speaker 3: And it's a great night out.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Seriously, if anybody looking for it's the most impressive date
- 10:32Speaker 1: you could take somebody on, and it's also the cheapest.

- 11:13Speaker 2: you want to see a fun TV show, like if
- 11:15Speaker 2: you go to Colbert, it's not fun. I mean it's
