We learned how to buy tickets. But today we're going one step further: buying snacks at the cinema. Luna: Oh, that's perfect. I always get hungry during a movie. So what's the first thing to say? Lucas: Let's start with the classic: popcorn. In Dutch, you say 'Ik wil graag popcorn.' Repeat after me: Ik wil graag popcorn. Luna: Ik wil graag popcorn. That sounds nice. What does it mean? Lucas: It means 'I would like popcorn.' 'Ik wil graag' is a polite way to say 'I would like.' So you can use it for many things. Luna: Ik wil graag popcorn. I got it. What about a drink? Like a cola? Lucas: Great question. For a large cola, you can say 'Een grote cola, alstublieft.' Say it with me: Een grote cola, alstublieft. Luna: Een grote cola, alstublieft. That's 'a large cola, please' right? Lucas: Exactly. 'Alstublieft' is the polite word for 'please.' Now, after you order, you might want to ask the price. So, how do you say 'How much does that cost?' Luna: Uhh... Is it 'Hoeveel kost dat?' Lucas: Perfect! 'Hoeveel kost dat?' Yes, you remembered from before. So you order popcorn, a cola, and then ask the price. Let's practice the whole sequence. Luna: Okay. Ik wil graag popcorn. En een grote cola, alstublieft. Hoeveel kost dat? Lucas: Excellent! Now, what if you also want an ice cream? You can say 'Mag ik ook een ijsje?' which means 'Can I also have an ice cream?' Luna: Mag ik ook een ijsje? That's cute. So I can add that after my order. Lucas: Exactly. Let's put it all together: Ik wil graag popcorn, een grote cola, alstublieft, en mag ik ook een ijsje? Hoeveel kost dat? Luna: That's a full order!
