- 0:00SPEAKER_02: Welcome back to Great Scott, a Brothers Review podcast.
- 0:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah, today's episode will be the last main episode before Halloween.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: So got some sp some more spooky stuff going on.
- 0:10SPEAKER_00: It's been awesome this month.
- 0:11SPEAKER_00: You're gonna do all the spooky stuff.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: It'll be the end of the spooky stuff, probably.
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we'll maybe review Clayface on the next episode.
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: It might be the last thing, but probably the end of like the main spooky stuff, fun segments.
- 0:21SPEAKER_00: But yeah, we're excited for Halloween.
- 0:23SPEAKER_00: Make sure you stay safe out there for Halloween.
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: Um y'all have one more episode, the trivia episode, but just go enjoy it.
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: It's great.
- 0:30SPEAKER_02: Trigger treat, man.
- 0:31SPEAKER_02: Get out there.
- 0:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 0:32SPEAKER_02: Even if you're 20 years old, it's never too late.
- 0:36SPEAKER_02: Yeah, maybe not if you're 30, but if you are 20.
- 0:38SPEAKER_02: Take your kid if you're 30.
- 0:41SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 0:42SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 0:43SPEAKER_02: Okay, so uh we don't have a big move movie to watch or anything, but we I I know we've both kind of been watching our own things, doing our own things for this spooky season.
- 0:54SPEAKER_02: Mm-hmm.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: So, uh do you want to go ahead and talk about some stuff you've been watching?
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so I'll get into some stuff I've been watching.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: First I want to say that I just started a new book um called Buffalo Hunter Hunter, which is like a Western horror kind of um Is it shorter?
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: You gonna be able to finish it before Halloween?
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: It's all it's only 15 hours to listen to it.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: So But you just started it?
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: The third chapter is an hour long.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: Oh like the first I'm already like a couple hours in on third chapter.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: But um that's pretty good.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: It's about like um So there's this professor at this university in Montana, and she has to like present in front of the tenure committee so she can get an extension to work there, but it's basically like if you don't have a published book, then you can't, or no, not gonna extend you, or something's going on, kinda like that.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: Um and she they discovered, she's like, Oh, I don't really write, blah blah blah, but she discovered that her like great-great great great great great which this play is in 2012, her great-great whatever grandfather in 1912 wrote a book.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: And so because she's related to him that they found that out, then she gets the rights to it, so she's basically just gonna transcribe it and then publish it so that she can get her extension and then but it's his journal, and he's going through some stuff in 1912, and that's where like the horror elements take place so far.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: It's pretty good.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: I like like reading Dungeon Carl Carl is so fun, and then you read a book like this, and you're like, Oh, that's like how like elite authors write.
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: Like the way they talk like it's Oh really?
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: Like the sentences and the stuff they say is just like Oh yeah, I gotcha.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: But it's kinda like you I really gotta lock in because when it's in 1912, it's like the old school way of talking, mm-hmm, and then um like the Native American Indian people, the way they talk in the story is like you really gotta lock in and focus because is it a series or is it just one satellite?
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so I started reading a spooky book.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: Um yeah, other than that, I've been watching some spooky stuff, some movies.
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: I think I watched six scary movies.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: Um Cool?
- 3:10SPEAKER_02: What did you watch?
- 3:12SPEAKER_02: Spooky movies?
- 3:13SPEAKER_02: I'm trying I was trying to think about it on the way here.
- 3:15SPEAKER_02: I know for sure one, I watched the host.
- 3:19SPEAKER_02: Oh yeah?
- 3:19SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I watched the then then maybe the night or the day after that we recorded the last one.
- 3:26SPEAKER_03: Mm-hmm.
- 3:27SPEAKER_02: Um it was it was pretty good.
- 3:30SPEAKER_02: I was I thought the ending where or not the ending, I guess, where they showed like the actual footage of them basically doing the seance in real life.
- 3:40SPEAKER_02: I thought there was gonna be something crazy.
- 3:42SPEAKER_02: You got my hopes up.
- 3:43SPEAKER_02: It wasn't crazy, but it was freaky.
- 3:45SPEAKER_02: Just the fact that she cut out or what?
- 3:47SPEAKER_02: Or that girl said she felt something?
- 3:49SPEAKER_02: And she starts crying.
- 3:51SPEAKER_02: Was she crying?
- 3:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: I don't remember her crying.
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: But I just think it was freaky that they put that in there and it was like Yeah, I think it was the fact that it you could tell that it influenced the movie so much.
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: So then you go back and watch the movie and you're like, oh.
- 4:04SPEAKER_02: I thought it was I definitely thought that was a good part to add, but uh overall, I mean, it was pretty good.
- 4:11SPEAKER_02: Do you have a rating for it?
- 4:13SPEAKER_02: I don't remember if I gave one or not.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: I just remember it made me feel weird.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 4:17SPEAKER_02: I mean it was short and good.
- 4:18SPEAKER_02: So I I like that it was short because it was, I mean, easy to watch, something right before bed, whatever.
- 4:23SPEAKER_02: And it was creepy.
- 4:24SPEAKER_02: There was creepy stuff, man.
- 4:29SPEAKER_02: Or you know that's what you assume.
- 4:31SPEAKER_02: Her his feet are just there.
- 4:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 4:33SPEAKER_02: That's freaky.
- 4:34SPEAKER_02: And then he falls later.
- 4:35SPEAKER_02: So it was pretty freaky.
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: Um the when the girls send the messages and it's like just random letters, random letters, random letters.
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh, yeah.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: And you don't know what they're like, what is she doing?
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: Like, because she's been gone, and then you see that she's banging her head on the keyboard.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: Some of it was really crazy, but yeah, it was pretty good.
- 4:51SPEAKER_02: But I'm Did you notice the timer on the top left?
- 4:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 4:53SPEAKER_02: Count no?
- 4:53SPEAKER_02: Oh, I can't I was looking for it when once you said that, and I it wasn't ever there and ten minutes and shows up.
- 5:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 5:00SPEAKER_02: So but yeah, it was pretty good.
- 5:03SPEAKER_02: I liked it.
- 5:04SPEAKER_02: But I haven't really been watching much movies.
- 5:06SPEAKER_02: I've been playing a video game.
- 5:08SPEAKER_01: I knew you were gonna say that.
- 5:10SPEAKER_01: Do you have any guesses of what video game I was play I've been playing?
- 5:14SPEAKER_02: Warren?
- 5:16SPEAKER_02: No.
- 5:16SPEAKER_02: So the library at our school, they like rent video games, movies, all this stuff.
- 5:21SPEAKER_02: So me and Perry decided three or four days ago, after we had finished all our tests for the week, because it was a crazy week, um, we were gonna go to the library and just look, see what they had.
- 5:33SPEAKER_02: First we were gonna do a movie, but then we were like, what if we did a game?
- 5:36SPEAKER_02: Because we haven't played video games in a while.
- 5:38SPEAKER_02: So we went, we were looking around, and we decided on It Takes Two.
- 5:42SPEAKER_02: No.
- 5:44SPEAKER_02: Silent Hill 2.
- 5:46SPEAKER_02: The remake?
- 5:47SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 5:47SPEAKER_02: For the PS5.
- 5:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 5:49SPEAKER_02: Which I I think it's the only one that I've seen footage of, like someone play before.
- 5:54SPEAKER_02: Because I recognize like the beginning of it.
- 5:56SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 5:56SPEAKER_02: It might have been like Jack Septichai or something that I've seen.
- 6:00SPEAKER_02: But it's pretty good.
- 6:01SPEAKER_02: Have you ever played that?
- 6:02SPEAKER_02: Uh not played it when I watched it.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: Oh, really?
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 6:04SPEAKER_02: It's pretty freaky.
- 6:06SPEAKER_02: And we're not very far.
- 6:09SPEAKER_02: We've kind of went through a lot of the town, or at least the initial part of the town that you're in, and then we went to right now, we're in like the hotel.
- 6:19SPEAKER_02: I can't remember what it's called, but we're in a hotel.
- 6:21SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 6:22SPEAKER_02: And at first Perry was like, she was chill to play, but now in the hotel with it being so dark, she freaks out, so she has a hard time playing, so I have to play the majority of the time.
- 6:33SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 6:33SPEAKER_02: But I like to watch her play because she gets freaked out.
- 6:36SPEAKER_02: And then so you know, like of the monsters and stuff.
- 6:40SPEAKER_02: At first it was just like this thing that had like the arms were like this, and it's like so I don't know if it's sewed up what it is.
- 6:46SPEAKER_02: That was the first one.
- 6:47SPEAKER_02: And then we got introduced in this hotel to one that's like legs and then legs on the top.
- 6:53SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 6:53SPEAKER_02: And those ones are so much freakier because they hide from you, and like there was an actual time where I freaking jumped because it was hiding under the table, and it looks like chairs, like there's chairs around the table, and so it just looks like another kind of chair, and it's so dark you can't see, and it just jumps out at you, so I I jumped, and then Perry jumped.
- 7:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 7:12SPEAKER_02: So that's that's the problem, is there's too many jump scares in the hotel for Perry to play.
- 7:17SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 7:17SPEAKER_02: But she likes to watch.
- 7:18SPEAKER_01: But uh yeah, that's what I've been playing.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: Instead of watching.
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: So what I've been doing is putting like Sunday night, Monday night football and stuff on my phone, and then watching a scary movie.
- 7:30SPEAKER_00: So I'll start when Sarry goes to bed.
- 7:33SPEAKER_00: The reason I've been watching so many scary movies is because Sarry goes to bed, and then about 7.30 I'll start the first movie, and I immediately followed up with another one.
- 7:41SPEAKER_00: So I'm going to bed at like.
- 7:42SPEAKER_02: Why do you do that?
- 7:43SPEAKER_02: Because I'm just gonna.
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: I'm trying to watch as many spooky season movies as I can.
- 7:46SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 7:46SPEAKER_00: So like at 7.30 at night I'll start.
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: I'm probably gonna go home and watch I know I'm gonna go home and watch one tonight, for sure, because we'll get into that, but.
- 7:53SPEAKER_00: So I started with I can't remember where I left off last week.
- 7:58SPEAKER_00: I know I'd watched like six last week, but I watched.
- 8:00SPEAKER_00: You watched the Fear Street movies, host.
- 8:02SPEAKER_02: Okay, so I watched uh You watched the goofy one with uh Rob Zombie as well.
- 8:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah, House of Thousand Corpses.
- 8:07SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 8:08SPEAKER_00: So I watched Um The original Evil Dead trilogy.
- 8:16SPEAKER_00: Oh directed by Sam Raimi.
- 8:17SPEAKER_00: Old.
- 8:18SPEAKER_00: How old are they?
- 8:19SPEAKER_00: Old.
- 8:19SPEAKER_00: Really old, evil.
- 8:20SPEAKER_00: Like, so while I'm watching, I'll I'll lead into all of them, but um I'll get actually I'll get into that in a minute, because it leads into what I m most recently started watching that I really want to talk about.
- 8:31SPEAKER_00: But some of the one-offs I watched was Oddity, which is pretty an interesting movie.
- 8:35SPEAKER_00: It's like I don't know, it's on it's like a Shudder original.
- 8:40SPEAKER_00: Shudder is like the app for scary movies.
- 8:44SPEAKER_00: Um and it was pretty good.
- 8:47SPEAKER_00: I mean it was it's rated pretty highly, and it was pretty creepy, and I thought it was good.
- 8:51SPEAKER_00: And then there was I watched The Dark and Wicked, The Dark and the Wicked.
- 8:57SPEAKER_00: Um, it's my lowest rated movie off of the spooky season, and it's one of the highest, like, critically rated.
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: Um, but it has my least favorite scene in any movie of all time.
- 9:09SPEAKER_00: Like, if you know some of my issues with some stuff that Brandon's recommended in the past, you can probably guess what it is.
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: It's the worst version of that that I've ever seen.
- 9:17SPEAKER_00: What'd you say it was called?
- 9:18SPEAKER_00: The Dark and the Wicked.
- 9:20SPEAKER_00: Um, I when I was looking at stuff when I had heard about it a while ago, looking on like through TikTok of people's recommendations for poor movies to watch that I've never that you people have never don't really see.
- 9:32SPEAKER_00: Um that was one of them.
- 9:33SPEAKER_00: And I had forgot that at the end of it he said if you have children, it's a tough watch.
- 9:37SPEAKER_00: And then there's a scene where it has to deal with the devil, like it's about and it's it is scary and it's hard to watch, but it is like it I can imagine it being people liking it because how much it how freaky it is.
- 9:51SPEAKER_00: But there's a scene where as soon as something happens, like the dad comes home from the place or whatever, and as soon as he walks to the door, I immediately remember the TikTok, and I was like, oh I was like, oh my gosh.
- 10:05SPEAKER_00: And so I started skipping because I knew it was coming, and then press play.
- 10:08SPEAKER_00: It's not one of those where you can see what you're doing when you're skipping, press play, and it's just like oh my god.
- 10:12SPEAKER_00: And I started skipping again.
- 10:14SPEAKER_00: So you didn't watch the scene?
- 10:15SPEAKER_00: I will I no, not all of it.
- 10:17SPEAKER_00: I watched the beginning of it, started it right whenever things are happening, then moved on.
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: And it is because you don't nothing happens, it's already had happened.
- 10:25SPEAKER_00: He just shows up and sees it, and then wait.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: I don't even want to talk about it.
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: Well now I'm intrigued.
- 10:32SPEAKER_00: Well, so it has to deal with okay, so this is graphic content warning, I guess.
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: Um this is I would recommend skipping a little bit just so you don't have to hear it, but so it has to deal with the devil, and then this um is the devil's base there's just an old couple, and the devil is basically like waiting for the old man to pass away.
- 10:54SPEAKER_00: He like he's about to pass away and he knows it, and he's like coming to gather, pretty much.
- 10:59SPEAKER_00: But then the wife can somehow see him, see the devil, and she ends up going insane.
- 11:05SPEAKER_00: And the two kids, the son and the daughter, come back to help out while the dad's passing.
- 11:11SPEAKER_02: And then but the old Like older people uh older kids?
- 11:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, adults.
- 11:15SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay.
- 11:16SPEAKER_00: So they come back to help out, um, and they see like the daughter doesn't have any family or anything, but the son has two daughters and a wife that are back home.
- 11:26SPEAKER_00: Um and basically just crazy stuff starts happening, and they start to realize that the devil is there and they don't know what to do about it.
- 11:33SPEAKER_00: And like the mom passed the older mom passes away, and stuff crazy stuff starts happening.
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: Well, one night the son sees something that scares him so bad he just leaves.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: He's like, I'm getting out of here.
- 11:46SPEAKER_00: So he drives across country, he drives across country overnight, and the daughter wakes up and she's calling him, and she's like, Where where'd you go?
- 11:54SPEAKER_00: And he's like, I had to leave.
- 11:55SPEAKER_00: You need to get out of there.
- 11:55SPEAKER_00: Like, you can't save him, just get out of there.
- 11:57SPEAKER_00: I'm going home.
- 11:58SPEAKER_00: I have a family, I have to go home.
- 12:00SPEAKER_00: And they're like freaking out.
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: And he shows up and opens the door and starts yelling, like saying his wife's name, like, hey, I'm home, and he's nothing.
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: And then that's when I was like, Oh my gosh.
- 12:08SPEAKER_00: And then he starts saying his daughter's names, and there's nothing.
- 12:11SPEAKER_00: And um it basically he just he bakes it into the kitchen, and she had like in a more gruesome way done what the Shutter Island wife had done to her, the two daughters and herself.
- 12:26SPEAKER_00: And they're all just playing there.
- 12:28SPEAKER_00: So I skipped started screening.
- 12:29SPEAKER_00: How do you know it was her though?
- 12:31SPEAKER_00: I mean, it was like she was possessed, like that's happened a bunch of times.
- 12:35SPEAKER_00: People were like hurting themselves because of the devil.
- 12:38SPEAKER_00: And then yeah.
- 12:39SPEAKER_00: And it's like and it just stays on them and like pans the everywhere around, so you see like it's just children?
- 12:47SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 12:47SPEAKER_00: And then the husband ended up like taking his own life to afterwards.
- 12:51SPEAKER_00: It's rough.
- 12:53SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 12:54SPEAKER_02: Oh, when was that made?
- 12:58SPEAKER_02: I can't believe I haven't heard of it.
- 13:00SPEAKER_01: I cannot believe I haven't heard of it.
- 13:01SPEAKER_01: It's like earlier than that?
- 13:02SPEAKER_01: I don't know, maybe later than that.
- 13:04SPEAKER_02: Who did you like is it by a big production or is it like a little little thing?
- 13:09SPEAKER_02: That's crazy.
- 13:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you're watching crazy stuff.
- 13:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'm trying to watch spookies.
- 13:15SPEAKER_00: That's why I rated that one low.
- 13:16SPEAKER_00: I was like, uh-uh.
- 13:17SPEAKER_00: I did not like that.
- 13:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: Um yes.
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: So that was as the as far as it went for that.
- 13:26SPEAKER_00: But I mean, so that's it.
- 13:30SPEAKER_02: It does what it's supposed to do.
- 13:31SPEAKER_02: For that reason is why you rated it low.
- 13:32SPEAKER_02: Like the other stuff was actually pretty decent or what?
- 13:34SPEAKER_00: It was alright, yeah.
- 13:35SPEAKER_00: But it is I never like where hosts made me feel scared like while the whole time watch it, and Oddity did the same thing and stuff like that.
- 13:41SPEAKER_00: This one made me just feel bad.
- 13:43SPEAKER_00: Like it just you know what I mean?
- 13:45SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 13:45SPEAKER_00: That seems like it would have some scary elements to it now.
- 13:48SPEAKER_00: No, it is scary, but it made me feel like the having to deal with the devil and the stuff that's going on with it just made me feel icky, but also scared.
- 13:55SPEAKER_00: And then that scene was scary.
- 13:57SPEAKER_00: Just uncomfortable.
- 13:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 13:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 13:59SPEAKER_00: Not a fun watch.
- 14:00SPEAKER_00: No.
- 14:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 14:01SPEAKER_00: No.
- 14:02SPEAKER_00: Um.
- 14:03SPEAKER_00: So then I watched so I watched those two, and then I watched the original Evil Dead trilogy, old, um, directed by Sam Raimi.
- 14:10SPEAKER_00: They're just they're really loved movies.
- 14:13SPEAKER_00: Um, but it's old, and as I'm watching them, I was like, no wonder the thing is such a loved movie because it came around back then too, and it's just better than these.
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: Um it's so interesting too, because the whole there's a whole first movie, and then there are this like cabin and then the Evil Dead stuff's happening.
- 14:33SPEAKER_00: But then the set start of the second movie is a r like the first 15-20 minutes is a recap of the first movie, but changed.
- 14:43SPEAKER_00: So instead of him and four or three other peop four other people, it's just him and his girlfriend.
- 14:48SPEAKER_00: And it changes like a lot that happened in the first one because they didn't have the rights to the first movie, because they sold them.
- 14:53SPEAKER_00: So they had to reshoot and redo that opening.
- 14:57SPEAKER_00: It's just so weird.
- 14:59SPEAKER_00: And it's just and then the second one he says like five to ten words, maybe.
- 15:04SPEAKER_00: And at the end of the second one, he gets sucked into this portal and dropped into medieval times, and the third one's called Army of Darkness, and it's like the third Ninja Turtles movie where they're like sitting in the I did not know that.
- 15:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's kind of like that.
- 15:17SPEAKER_00: Army of Darkness.
- 15:18SPEAKER_00: Army of Darkness is probably my favorite one, because it was the funniest.
- 15:20SPEAKER_00: Like um, but while I was watching, I was sitting there thinking, no wonder everybody likes the thing so much, because it's also a movie where it's just better than this.
- 15:29SPEAKER_00: And then I watched Alien.
- 15:32SPEAKER_00: And I was like, this is genuinely good.
- 15:37SPEAKER_00: When was that one made?
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: The first one I want to say was late 70s or early 80s.
- 15:45SPEAKER_00: And then the so I watched the first two.
- 15:48SPEAKER_00: I watched Alien and Aliens.
- 15:50SPEAKER_00: Um, I can't remember I know those first two are rated way higher than the rest of them until you get to Romulus.
- 15:56SPEAKER_00: Um I can't remember which ones liked more, but they're both good.
- 16:00SPEAKER_00: Like, I enjoyed both of them a lot, especially the first one.
- 16:03SPEAKER_00: It just looks so much better from the get-go.
- 16:06SPEAKER_00: It looks like they had a lot more money to use to make that movie than they did the rest of them.
- 16:11SPEAKER_00: Um And it was a good mix between like I was way more scared of the xenomorph in the first alien than I was of the thing.
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: Obviously, than I was of anything in Evil Dead.
- 16:24SPEAKER_00: But we're gonna go by fixing the camera.
- 16:30SPEAKER_02: Spooky time, huh?
- 16:31SPEAKER_00: There's ghosts in here that messed up the camera.
- 16:35SPEAKER_02: That's crazy.
- 16:41SPEAKER_00: All good.
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: I'm telling you, there's ghosts in here.
- 16:45SPEAKER_00: Spooky.
- 16:46SPEAKER_00: But yeah, the alien was good, aliens was also good.
- 16:49SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna go and watch the third one in the night, which is not loved very much.
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: And I think it's Alien Resurrection, maybe?
- 16:58SPEAKER_00: And then Covenant, and then Prometheus, and then there's so many.
- 17:04SPEAKER_00: Then I have no idea how many there are.
- 17:07SPEAKER_00: There's like five or six, but apparently they're not very they're decent to not very good until Romulus.
- 17:15SPEAKER_01: Do you have to watch them?
- 17:16SPEAKER_01: Are they all kind of in sequence?
- 17:18SPEAKER_00: So I think it goes one, two, three in order.
- 17:21SPEAKER_00: Um, and then it goes it jumps back to before number one, so it's prequel for Covenant, I think is what's called, maybe.
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: And then Prometheus is after Covenant, so still before the originals.
- 17:32SPEAKER_00: And then Romulus is in between the first and second movie.
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: Different group.
- 17:36SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 17:37SPEAKER_00: Different people.
- 17:37SPEAKER_00: I think it's the I think Seornia Weaver's in the third one for sure.
- 17:41SPEAKER_00: I don't know what else she's in.
- 17:43SPEAKER_00: But yeah, so that's that's why I was saying, like, I watched Evil Dead, I was like, man, this is just not for me.
- 17:50SPEAKER_00: No one everybody likes a thing.
- 17:51SPEAKER_00: And then I watched Alien and I was like, how does any that how did anybody like any of these other ones?
- 17:55SPEAKER_00: This is the best.
- 17:56SPEAKER_00: But obviously, I might need to watch loved by a lot of people.
- 17:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 17:59SPEAKER_00: I thought about watching it before.
- 18:00SPEAKER_00: And maybe it could be because I watched Evil Dead leading up to it all week, and then got to Alien, and I was like, compared to the other movies that came out of this time, this is way better.
- 18:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 18:09SPEAKER_00: How long are they long?
- 18:10SPEAKER_00: Are they relatively short?
- 18:12SPEAKER_00: The second one's two hours long for sure.
- 18:14SPEAKER_00: The first one is not that bad.
- 18:16SPEAKER_00: I think it's the second one's just like two hours and two minutes or something.
- 18:19SPEAKER_00: The first one's less than that, but I can't remember.
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: Probably pretty close.
- 18:23SPEAKER_02: But yeah.
- 18:25SPEAKER_02: That's cool.
- 18:26SPEAKER_02: You've been watching way scary way more scary movies than I have.
- 18:30SPEAKER_02: I actually I wouldn't say I've officially moved on from Naruto because I haven't finished it.
- 18:36SPEAKER_02: I stopped.
- 18:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I know.
- 18:39SPEAKER_02: That's what I've been told, is I'm pretty much done with it.
- 18:41SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
- 18:41SPEAKER_01: The only thing.
- 18:46SPEAKER_01: So obviously I skipped the filler throughout the whole thing.
- 18:48SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
- 18:49SPEAKER_02: I got to the and I told you last week that I got to the point where Saski or it's like the exploding zombies people.
- 18:56SPEAKER_02: It's like it's so weird.
- 18:58SPEAKER_02: There's that, and I almost finished that part.
- 19:01SPEAKER_02: Like I have like one episode left of that.
- 19:03SPEAKER_03: Mm-hmm.
- 19:04SPEAKER_02: So I was thinking about what like finishing it and then skipping the rest until Naruto's wedding.
- 19:10SPEAKER_02: Because I I looked at what's left and see like, like, if I can I just be done?
- 19:14SPEAKER_02: And I there's like the next parts like Shikamaru, he's got something, like a four or five episode story, and then there's another one with somebody else, and then it's Naruto's wedding.
- 19:26SPEAKER_02: Something like that.
- 19:27SPEAKER_02: And so I I probably will skip to Naruto's wedding, watch those last, how many are episodes, like six or something?
- 19:34SPEAKER_02: But who's Okage where you're at?
- 19:38SPEAKER_02: Kakashi.
- 19:39SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 19:39SPEAKER_02: Yeah, he began.
- 19:41SPEAKER_02: Um I did start something else though.
- 19:45SPEAKER_02: So that's why I haven't been watching very many security movies.
- 19:48SPEAKER_02: Because I've been wanting to watch this or play the video game.
- 19:51SPEAKER_02: Can you take some guesses?
- 19:56SPEAKER_00: No.
- 19:57SPEAKER_00: My hero.
- 19:58SPEAKER_00: No.
- 19:58SPEAKER_00: Death note.
- 20:00SPEAKER_01: No.
- 20:02SPEAKER_00: Is it anime?
- 20:03SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 20:07SPEAKER_01: I have no idea.
- 20:08SPEAKER_01: Black Clover.
- 20:08SPEAKER_02: Oh, Black Clover, yeah.
- 20:10SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 20:10SPEAKER_02: And it's actually pretty good.
- 20:12SPEAKER_02: I need to restart.
- 20:13SPEAKER_02: How far are you into it?
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: Wait, have you started?
- 20:14SPEAKER_00: You already watched some of it?
- 20:15SPEAKER_00: I watched some of it before, but I wanted to go back and restart when I was.
- 20:18SPEAKER_01: Oh, I was fixing to tell you how it was.
- 20:21SPEAKER_00: You you've already seen some of it.
- 20:23SPEAKER_00: Yes, I've definitely seen to where you're at for sure.
- 20:26SPEAKER_00: Uh okay.
- 20:26SPEAKER_00: But how far are you?
- 20:27SPEAKER_00: Because I want to start it again so I can get caught up with it.
- 20:30SPEAKER_02: I am They Okay, do you know I'm like 10 episodes in, maybe?
- 20:38SPEAKER_02: So they already did the Oh.
- 20:40SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 20:41SPEAKER_02: The exam thing.
- 20:42SPEAKER_02: Where you get put into your different Yes, the Knight, whatever what are they called?
- 20:46SPEAKER_02: Has he made it to the black or do you know who he went to?
- 20:48SPEAKER_02: Black Bulls.
- 20:49SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 20:49SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 20:50SPEAKER_02: So I am to the point.
- 20:52SPEAKER_02: They go to the village of Magna that he grew up in with that uh dude that he was playing poker against, lost to.
- 21:01SPEAKER_02: Played him and the main guy of the Black Bulls play poker, lost, lost.
- 21:05SPEAKER_02: I mean.
- 21:06SPEAKER_02: Yes, lost like everything.
- 21:07SPEAKER_00: And then he's one of like he's up there all the all time, like they people put him in the like the Kakashi Goko Yami, like leader, some of the one of the best characters in the show, but also the leader of the main character.
- 21:20SPEAKER_02: He's super good, he's pretty cool already.
- 21:22SPEAKER_02: If he's I mean, obviously he's a jerk, but he's pretty cool.
- 21:24SPEAKER_02: Um but so they went there and then there's the ice people.
- 21:28SPEAKER_02: There's like there's three, and then there's the main ice dude, and they're like trying to kill the people in that little village, and they ended up saving him.
- 21:36SPEAKER_01: But yeah, I was gonna tell you about it.
- 21:38SPEAKER_00: But you already have seen it.
- 21:40SPEAKER_00: Dude, there's one scene where they're like standing ten toes down, oh.
- 21:45SPEAKER_02: Dude, okay, the reason the reason I was like, okay, this is what I'm gonna watch, is because when I'm at the gym, I've told you this before, but like edits like on YouTube or whatever, and I've heard so many from that, and I uh like a lot of them I didn't even realize were from that.
- 21:58SPEAKER_02: One in like in particular.
- 22:00SPEAKER_02: I knew, but now that I've seen it, even like watching the show, I was like, uh, like it gives me chills because I've like I've heard that before.
- 22:08SPEAKER_02: Um, but yeah, I started that out like it's so it's literally Naruto.
- 22:14SPEAKER_02: It's magic Naruto.
- 22:15SPEAKER_02: And at first, when I was first watching it, the first episode, I was like, it's this kid's kind of annoying.
- 22:21SPEAKER_02: Like kind getting annoying, but I think it has a gr like right at the end of that first episode, it has a payoff that I was looking for.
- 22:31SPEAKER_02: And that's what they call um shonen anime.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: They're all basically the same.
- 22:37SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 22:37SPEAKER_00: That's I've also My hero is the same.
- 22:40SPEAKER_00: It's the kid that's not supposed to be anything, becomes the most powerful, has the rival, but the friend.
- 22:46SPEAKER_00: Naruto has the more evil route.
- 22:49SPEAKER_00: Like he's actually ends up being bad at one point.
- 22:53SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 22:54SPEAKER_02: But it was good.
- 22:55SPEAKER_02: I you really start to root for the main character right there at the end of that first episode.
- 23:00SPEAKER_02: And ever since you're just kind of all for him.
- 23:02SPEAKER_02: Sometimes he does get annoying because he's just always yelling.
- 23:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah, saying the same thing.
- 23:06SPEAKER_02: I have no idea where I'm at on that.
- 23:09SPEAKER_00: Did you finish the first season?
- 23:11SPEAKER_00: I'm sure I did.
- 23:11SPEAKER_00: I'll watch it.
- 23:13SPEAKER_00: I think I w I'm wherever I stopped, I'm pretty sure I was caught up.
- 23:16SPEAKER_00: And I hadn't watched it in a lot.
- 23:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but I really like it so far.
- 23:22SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's what I've been doing.
- 23:26SPEAKER_02: Wizards, I guess.
- 23:27SPEAKER_02: Halloween wizards.
- 23:30SPEAKER_02: Witchcraft and wizardry.
- 23:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that.
- 23:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 23:35SPEAKER_00: If you leave here and watch one movie, I recommend you'd watch Alien.
- 23:38SPEAKER_01: I probably will.
- 23:39SPEAKER_00: Not dealing.
- 23:40SPEAKER_00: I need to watch Alien if it's a good one.
- 23:45SPEAKER_02: Never heard of it.
- 23:46SPEAKER_02: I might look into it, but I'll probably watch Alien.
- 23:49SPEAKER_02: Maybe.
- 23:50SPEAKER_02: Sounds good.
- 23:52SPEAKER_02: Are you ready for the fun segment?
- 23:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah, let's do it.
- 23:55SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 23:56SPEAKER_02: For the fun segment.
- 23:59SPEAKER_02: Survival story game.
- 24:02SPEAKER_02: Survival story game.
- 24:03SPEAKER_02: You make choices, you try to survive.
- 24:05SPEAKER_02: I w I've been through these.
- 24:07SPEAKER_02: They are pretty hard to survive, I'm not gonna lie.
- 24:09SPEAKER_02: Oh.
- 24:10SPEAKER_02: Like I've I've had two tries to.
- 24:11SPEAKER_02: But didn't you make them?
- 24:12SPEAKER_02: So I had my good friend Claudia help me make these.
- 24:17SPEAKER_02: Um yeah, I'll probably shout out Claudia.
- 24:20SPEAKER_02: Yeah, Claudia's pretty cool.
- 24:21SPEAKER_02: She, you know, helped me with these, so.
- 24:23SPEAKER_02: Um because a lot of these I could not come up with on my own.
- 24:25SPEAKER_02: Like the different situations, you know what I'm talking about?
- 24:28SPEAKER_00: Okay, I got you.
- 24:30SPEAKER_00: So I'll I mean, I think I've watched if you count the TV shows I've watched.
- 24:36SPEAKER_00: Say you count the TV shows, the limited series as two movies.
- 24:41SPEAKER_03: Hmm?
- 24:41SPEAKER_03: Two?
- 24:42SPEAKER_00: I I've watched about twenty something horror movies this October.
- 24:46SPEAKER_00: This is gonna be hard though.
- 24:48SPEAKER_00: So hopefully I have like I'm in the right mindset.
- 24:50SPEAKER_02: Okay, so I have there's three different ones I'll let you pick, which I it depends on how fast they go, honestly.
- 24:54SPEAKER_02: Like if you die quick, because it's possible, um, then I will do some more.
- 25:00SPEAKER_02: But we have three.
- 25:02unknown: Okay.
- 25:02SPEAKER_02: One's like a haunted house.
- 25:04SPEAKER_02: One of them is a like a ocean, I th it's not really like a submarine, but it's like a station way in under the ocean.
- 25:12SPEAKER_02: Ooh, it's called underwater.
- 25:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah, station Meridian, yeah.
- 25:15SPEAKER_02: Way in the yeah.
- 25:16SPEAKER_02: And then the last one's called Merrow Creek, which is like a little town you're going through.
- 25:20SPEAKER_02: So you can have haunted house, underwater, station, or a a town.
- 25:28SPEAKER_02: Make choices.
- 25:29SPEAKER_02: You we may play all of them, just depending on how how fast you die.
- 25:32SPEAKER_02: Tell me if you can survive, if you can survive, I'll be so impressed.
- 25:38SPEAKER_00: No, I don't.
- 25:40SPEAKER_00: Okay, let's do the That would be crazy.
- 25:42SPEAKER_00: Let's do the haunted house then.
- 25:43SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 25:44SPEAKER_02: The haunted haunted house is decent.
- 25:46SPEAKER_02: But I haven't been through all like the Yeah.
- 25:50SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 25:50SPEAKER_02: Dude, but I'm telling you, me like me and Perry would play, and uh we'd die, and then I'd go back and try to survive, and like make the better choices, and I'd still die.
- 26:02SPEAKER_02: There, but it like there's there's a bunch of different endings you can have.
- 26:07SPEAKER_02: Successful endings?
- 26:08SPEAKER_02: Ha half are successful, half are not.
- 26:10SPEAKER_02: Most of the time.
- 26:11SPEAKER_02: This one 60-40.
- 26:14SPEAKER_02: 60-40 death.
- 26:15SPEAKER_03: Ooh!
- 26:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 26:16SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 26:17SPEAKER_02: We're gonna start on that one.
- 26:18SPEAKER_02: It's what's called a Hollowell house.
- 26:20SPEAKER_02: Hollowell.
- 26:21SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 26:21SPEAKER_02: Your car dies on the r on the road, ten miles from anything.
- 26:26SPEAKER_02: Rain hammers through the roof, through the trees, you see a house.
- 26:30SPEAKER_02: One window lit.
- 26:31SPEAKER_02: The front door stands open a hand's width.
- 26:35SPEAKER_02: As if it's been waiting.
- 26:37SPEAKER_02: Okay?
- 26:38SPEAKER_02: What do you do?
- 26:39SPEAKER_02: Do you walk in through the front door?
- 26:41SPEAKER_02: Or do you circle around the back to the cellar hatch?
- 26:45SPEAKER_02: I'm just gonna go in the front door.
- 26:47SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 26:48SPEAKER_02: Walk in through the front door.
- 26:49SPEAKER_02: The door swings shut behind you.
- 26:51SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 26:52SPEAKER_02: The foyer smells of wet wool and candle smoke.
- 26:55SPEAKER_02: Somewhere, a pot is simmering.
- 26:57SPEAKER_02: Somewhere above you, slow footsteps cross the ceiling and stop.
- 27:01SPEAKER_02: What do you do?
- 27:02SPEAKER_02: Do you try the front door?
- 27:03SPEAKER_02: Try to get out.
- 27:04SPEAKER_02: Do you follow the smell of stew?
- 27:07SPEAKER_02: Ease open the study door, or do you climb the stairs?
- 27:11SPEAKER_02: Ease open the study door.
- 27:13SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 27:14SPEAKER_02: A desk, a dead fire, and a letter in spidery handwriting.
- 27:18SPEAKER_02: Beside it lies a brass key.
- 27:21SPEAKER_02: The letter is short, but you can feel the house listening while you read it.
- 27:25SPEAKER_02: Okay?
- 27:26SPEAKER_02: Mm-hmm.
- 27:26SPEAKER_02: So do you pocket the brass brass key?
- 27:30SPEAKER_02: Do you read the note?
- 27:32SPEAKER_02: Or do you just leave for the stairs?
- 27:34SPEAKER_02: I can only do one.
- 27:36SPEAKER_02: You don't no no.
- 27:37SPEAKER_02: You you you this one gives you multiple, so you can if you wanted to I do want to read the note.
- 27:41SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 27:42SPEAKER_02: So you read the note.
- 27:44SPEAKER_02: What's it say?
- 27:45SPEAKER_02: Oh, I just clicked off of it.
- 27:47SPEAKER_02: That's my bad.
- 27:48SPEAKER_02: One second.
- 27:49SPEAKER_02: What does the note say?
- 27:50SPEAKER_02: Just give me one second.
- 27:53SPEAKER_02: Hold on just one second.
- 27:54SPEAKER_02: We're gonna die real quick and then I'm gonna restart.
- 27:57SPEAKER_03: Oh no.
- 27:57SPEAKER_02: Okay, you walk through the front door, you open the study door.
- 28:00SPEAKER_02: Okay, are you ready for the letter?
- 28:02SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 28:03SPEAKER_02: You read the letter.
- 28:04SPEAKER_02: Born ready.
- 28:04SPEAKER_02: I clicked on the letter, I was like, oh yeah, he's gonna read it.
- 28:06SPEAKER_02: Edmund was not born cruel.
- 28:09SPEAKER_02: The house made him burn what binds them to it.
- 28:14SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 28:15SPEAKER_02: Okay, so you read the letter.
- 28:16SPEAKER_02: Now, do you pocket the brass key or do you leave for the stairs?
- 28:19SPEAKER_02: I won't, yeah, I'll take it with me.
- 28:20SPEAKER_02: You take a key?
- 28:21SPEAKER_02: Mm-hmm.
- 28:22SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 28:22SPEAKER_02: Now you leave for the stairs.
- 28:24SPEAKER_02: Nothing left in that room, okay?
- 28:26SPEAKER_02: That's all you that's the only option.
- 28:28SPEAKER_02: I can't leave for the stew now.
- 28:30SPEAKER_02: Oh well you're I'm just kidding.
- 28:31SPEAKER_02: Leave for the yes.
- 28:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah, okay.
- 28:33SPEAKER_02: Well that's yeah.
- 28:34SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 28:34SPEAKER_02: The upstairs long and cold.
- 28:37SPEAKER_02: Three doors and a hatch in the ceiling with a padlock.
- 28:40SPEAKER_02: Below, something heavy is dragged across the kitchen floor.
- 28:44SPEAKER_02: Glad I didn't go for the stew.
- 28:45SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 28:46SPEAKER_02: Okay, what do you do?
- 28:46SPEAKER_02: Do you enter the nursery where the music is playing?
- 28:49SPEAKER_02: Do you enter the master bedroom?
- 28:51SPEAKER_02: Do you unlock the attic hatch with the brass key?
- 28:54SPEAKER_02: Or do you go back down to the foyer?
- 28:57SPEAKER_02: Hmm.
- 28:58SPEAKER_00: So if I'm thinking.
- 29:02SPEAKER_00: Let's go into the nursery.
- 29:05SPEAKER_02: Where the music is playing?
- 29:08SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 29:08SPEAKER_02: A music box a music box plays itself in the corner.
- 29:12SPEAKER_02: A small girl in a nightgown stands at the window.
- 29:16SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 29:16SPEAKER_02: Not quite touching the floor.
- 29:19SPEAKER_02: She doesn't turn around, she only points to the glass.
- 29:22SPEAKER_02: What do you do?
- 29:23SPEAKER_02: Do you wind the music box?
- 29:25SPEAKER_02: Do you open the window and climb out onto the porch roof?
- 29:29SPEAKER_02: Or do you go back to the landing?
- 29:31SPEAKER_02: The little girl's pointing out there?
- 29:32SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 29:34SPEAKER_00: Gosh, I was hoping this was Edmund's nursery, but it sounds like it's just little girl's.
- 29:38SPEAKER_00: Her feet aren't touching the floor, by the way.
- 29:42SPEAKER_02: Okay, yeah.
- 29:43SPEAKER_02: So she's a ghost.
- 29:45SPEAKER_02: I've never been in the nursery, to be honest with you.
- 29:47SPEAKER_02: So this is new.
- 29:48SPEAKER_02: Let's see what happens.
- 29:49SPEAKER_02: You've never been in the nursery?
- 29:51SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 29:51SPEAKER_00: Well, I was hoping that Edmund or whatever, it was his nursery, and he had like some freaking baby blanket or something I could burn and get out of here.
- 30:01SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 30:01SPEAKER_02: So what do you want to do?
- 30:03SPEAKER_02: Wind the music box, open the window, and climb out onto the porch.
- 30:06SPEAKER_02: You're trying to climb out?
- 30:07SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I'm going wherever the girl says I'm going.
- 30:10SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 30:11SPEAKER_02: Rain sheets off the slate.
- 30:13SPEAKER_02: Four feet to your left is a rusted drain pipe.
- 30:17SPEAKER_02: Six feet to your right, an oak branch.
- 30:20SPEAKER_02: Wet and black and tempting.
- 30:22SPEAKER_02: What do you do?
- 30:23SPEAKER_02: Do you shimmy down the drain pipe or do you leap for the oak branch?
- 30:28SPEAKER_02: Like you're dead.
- 30:32SPEAKER_02: The pipe.
- 30:33SPEAKER_02: Shimmy down the drain pipe.
- 30:36SPEAKER_02: Your hands burn.
- 30:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 30:38SPEAKER_02: But the pipe holds.
- 30:40SPEAKER_02: You drop into the wet grass and sprint to the road.
- 30:43SPEAKER_02: In the nursery window, a small hand waves goodbye, and for the first time all night, the music stops.
- 30:48SPEAKER_02: You survived.
- 30:50SPEAKER_02: That's crazy.
- 30:51SPEAKER_02: I can't believe you survived.
- 30:52SPEAKER_02: I w I bet you would have died if you would have gone for the branch.
- 30:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 30:56SPEAKER_00: Go back to not the nurseries.
- 30:59SPEAKER_00: Go back.
- 31:01SPEAKER_00: I didn't really survive.
- 31:02SPEAKER_00: All I did was You got out?
- 31:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I got back out.
- 31:05SPEAKER_00: I got went in.
- 31:06SPEAKER_00: Like I was looking for help, realized I wasn't gonna get any help, and then left.
- 31:10SPEAKER_00: You didn't discover any secrets, that's for sure.
- 31:13SPEAKER_00: See, I think I don't mess around.
- 31:16SPEAKER_02: You survived.
- 31:16SPEAKER_02: I mean that was what I was looking for.
- 31:17SPEAKER_00: But a girl was helping me out.
- 31:19SPEAKER_00: She did.
- 31:19SPEAKER_00: That was crazy.
- 31:20SPEAKER_00: That was crazy.
- 31:21SPEAKER_00: I'm definitely not winding up the box.
- 31:22SPEAKER_00: I probably would have made her mad and she probably would get it.
- 31:24SPEAKER_02: Okay, do you want to do you wanna see what happens?
- 31:26SPEAKER_02: Or what do you want to do?
- 31:27SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we'll go back to the um Do you want to ease open the study door again?
- 31:31SPEAKER_02: And get the brass key and read the letter, that's fine.
- 31:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah, go do all that.
- 31:35SPEAKER_02: I want to be upstairs.
- 31:36SPEAKER_02: Do you want to enter the nursery, or do you want to enter the master bedroom, unlock the attic?
- 31:39SPEAKER_02: Let's go in the attic.
- 31:40SPEAKER_02: Okay, unlock the attic.
- 31:41SPEAKER_02: Uh dust and a trunk full of old photographs.
- 31:44SPEAKER_02: A family on the porch year after year, and the same young young man's face scratched out of everyone.
- 31:50SPEAKER_02: The lantern's absence feels loud.
- 31:52SPEAKER_02: Do you read the names written on the backs or retreat to the landing?
- 31:58SPEAKER_00: Um I don't think I have to read the name on the backs, so I'm gonna assume the one scratched out as Edmund, and then like does it help me to know what the rest of the family Yeah, sure.
- 32:10SPEAKER_02: I mean I guess I'll get all the names.
- 32:12SPEAKER_02: Or not reading the names.
- 32:13SPEAKER_02: If you read the names, you dude, it's actually kind of crazy.
- 32:16SPEAKER_02: He like uh You read them out loud?
- 32:19SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna yeah.
- 32:20SPEAKER_02: Oh, okay, never mind.
- 32:21SPEAKER_02: Oh, I'm gonna do a decision here.
- 32:22SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you read one name aloud, Edmund.
- 32:24SPEAKER_02: The hatch slams shut behind you, slow footsteps, climb the ladder.
- 32:27SPEAKER_02: Nobody's said that in years, says a voice behind you, almost grateful you're dead.
- 32:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 32:32SPEAKER_02: Okay, I didn't realize saying them out loud.
- 32:34SPEAKER_00: I was gonna say I already knew the guy scratched out was Edmund.
- 32:37SPEAKER_00: Okay, do you want to enter the master bedroom?
- 32:38SPEAKER_00: Go back to the foyer.
- 32:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, in the master bedroom, I guess.
- 32:41SPEAKER_02: Or do you want to in the nursery again?
- 32:43SPEAKER_00: No, I I don't think lying on that box is gonna help anybody.
- 32:45SPEAKER_02: Okay, a huge mirror, a wardrobe with its door ajar, and in the mirror, a pale woman who is not in the room.
- 32:53SPEAKER_02: Her mouth moves downstairs, the footsteps reach the bottom of the staircase and begin to climb.
- 32:59SPEAKER_02: Do you hide in the wardrobe or do you go back to the landing?
- 33:06SPEAKER_02: I have entered the master bedroom.
- 33:10SPEAKER_02: Guess um Can't hide.
- 33:12SPEAKER_02: No.
- 33:13SPEAKER_02: You gotta go back to the landing.
- 33:14SPEAKER_02: If you hide in the wardrobe, they find you.
- 33:16SPEAKER_02: And it's freaky, yeah.
- 33:17SPEAKER_02: Um.
- 33:18SPEAKER_02: So the only thing to do uh is enter the nursery.
- 33:21SPEAKER_02: Or I mean you could have gone into the kitchen early, and remember you went to the front door instead of going through the cellar.
- 33:27SPEAKER_02: But I think the cellar just brings you back into the building, into the main.
- 33:31SPEAKER_02: So, do you want to wind the music box this time and see what happens?
- 33:33SPEAKER_02: Yeah, let's just see what happens since you've never been in there.
- 33:35SPEAKER_02: Have you ever survived this one?
- 33:37SPEAKER_02: Uh no.
- 33:39SPEAKER_02: Oh.
- 33:39SPEAKER_02: That's about the first try.
- 33:40SPEAKER_02: That's why you don't you've never been in the nursery before.
- 33:43SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I know.
- 33:43SPEAKER_02: But there's there's four chances of survival.
- 33:46SPEAKER_02: Oh, okay.
- 33:47SPEAKER_02: Well, I might ha I can't remember, because I I mean why in the box.
- 33:50SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 33:50SPEAKER_02: A music box plays itself in the corner of small girl, and then I wait.
- 33:56SPEAKER_02: I I just clicked why in the music box.
- 33:58SPEAKER_02: Oh, it's the same thing.
- 34:00SPEAKER_02: You can either open the window and climb out or back to the landing.
- 34:03SPEAKER_02: You have to go to the kitchen, I think.
- 34:05SPEAKER_02: You wanna go back to the landing?
- 34:07SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we can, but we know someone's down there now.
- 34:11SPEAKER_02: Let's go hold on.
- 34:12SPEAKER_02: We gotta go to the kitchen early, don't we?
- 34:13SPEAKER_02: Okay, let's go.
- 34:14SPEAKER_02: I They they disappeared.
- 34:17SPEAKER_02: I went back to the foyer.
- 34:18SPEAKER_02: Do you want to follow the smell of stew?
- 34:20SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 34:21SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 34:22SPEAKER_02: Two bowls of stew steam on the table, a bloody apron hangs on a chair.
- 34:25SPEAKER_02: Above you the footsteps move to the stairs and start coming down unhurried.
- 34:29SPEAKER_02: So they went upstairs, they probably went to the master bedroom, and you snuck around and went downstairs and get smelled the stew.
- 34:34SPEAKER_00: Well what happened in the beginning was they were upstairs when I showed up to the house.
- 34:38SPEAKER_00: When I went into the office, they went to the stew, and we went upstairs, and that's what they were coming back up at.
- 34:43SPEAKER_00: Okay, I gotcha.
- 34:43SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 34:44SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 34:46SPEAKER_02: Do you snatch the oil lantern off its hook, then duck into the pantry?
- 34:50SPEAKER_02: Do you just duck into the pantry?
- 34:51SPEAKER_02: Or do you slip out through the swinging door to the foyer?
- 34:54SPEAKER_02: Back to the foyer.
- 34:57SPEAKER_00: I don't want to hide either.
- 34:58SPEAKER_00: But if I take the lantern, can I can I go back outside?
- 35:04SPEAKER_02: Or do I have to take the lantern and go out and hide?
- 35:06SPEAKER_02: It says duck into the pantry, but I think maybe if you take the lantern, the duck in the pantry might survive and burn something.
- 35:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 35:13SPEAKER_00: I could also go upstairs because the lack of the lantern light was loud up there, and now I got a lantern.
- 35:19SPEAKER_00: What?
- 35:20SPEAKER_00: Earlier when you were reading about the attic, the lack of the lantern light was loud.
- 35:27SPEAKER_02: So I guess take the lantern and go into the.
- 35:29SPEAKER_02: Let's see if you die.
- 35:30SPEAKER_02: No?
- 35:30SPEAKER_02: Through the slots you watch a man in a stained wedding suit stop at the table.
- 35:34SPEAKER_02: He doesn't look around, he just says softly, company.
- 35:41SPEAKER_02: Do you hold your breath and wait him out?
- 35:42SPEAKER_02: Do you burst out and fight with your bare hands?
- 35:45SPEAKER_02: I'll wait him out.
- 35:47SPEAKER_02: You don't want to wait him out?
- 35:48SPEAKER_02: I wanna fight him with my bare hands.
- 35:51SPEAKER_02: Okay, you're still alive so far.
- 35:53SPEAKER_02: The door swings shut behind you, the foyer smells of wet wool and candle smoke.
- 35:57SPEAKER_02: Somewhere a pot is simmering, somewhere above you, slow foot.
- 36:00SPEAKER_02: Oh, so this is just try the front door again.
- 36:02SPEAKER_02: Follow the smells too.
- 36:03SPEAKER_02: Ease open the study door.
- 36:04SPEAKER_02: So do you want to climb the stairs?
- 36:05SPEAKER_02: Try to see if it's Yeah, I want to go in the attic again.
- 36:07SPEAKER_02: Okay, let's see if that works.
- 36:08SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 36:09SPEAKER_02: Maybe you have to burn the picture.
- 36:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 36:11SPEAKER_02: Okay, so enter the attic.
- 36:12SPEAKER_02: Mm-hmm.
- 36:14SPEAKER_02: Light the photographs with your lantern.
- 36:16SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 36:17SPEAKER_02: Let it burn.
- 36:18SPEAKER_02: The photographs curl and blacken.
- 36:20SPEAKER_02: Every ghost in the house except exhales at once.
- 36:24SPEAKER_02: Downstairs a man in a wedding suit sits down on the stairs and weeps, then fades.
- 36:28SPEAKER_02: The front door swings open on its own, and the rain has stopped you walking to out into a quiet morning.
- 36:34SPEAKER_02: That was two.
- 36:36SPEAKER_00: I wonder what the other two survival ones.
- 36:39SPEAKER_00: I felt pretty good about remembering the light lantern thing.
- 36:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that was crazy, kinda.
- 36:43SPEAKER_00: And going one for one to start.
- 36:45SPEAKER_02: I can't believe you went one for one, to be honest.
- 36:48SPEAKER_02: Let's go.
- 36:48SPEAKER_02: Next one.
- 36:49SPEAKER_02: You want to play another one?
- 36:50SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 36:50SPEAKER_02: Do you want the Station Meridian or do you want Merrow Creek?
- 36:53SPEAKER_00: That one sounds cool.
- 36:54SPEAKER_02: Station Okay, those.
- 36:55SPEAKER_02: Let's do Station Meridian.
- 36:56SPEAKER_02: If I get it as fast as I got the last one we did.
- 36:58SPEAKER_02: Listen, listen, listen.
- 36:59SPEAKER_02: Station Meridian, you have bro you have a breath tank.
- 37:03SPEAKER_02: So and it runs out.
- 37:04SPEAKER_02: So you have to be quick.
- 37:07SPEAKER_00: Wherever I go, I can't come back like we just did.
- 37:09SPEAKER_02: You have to be quick about your decisions or you know I mean.
- 37:12SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 37:12SPEAKER_02: Yeah, let's go.
- 37:12SPEAKER_02: Do you want to do that one or do you want to do Merrow Creek?
- 37:15SPEAKER_02: Station Meridian?
- 37:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 37:16SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 37:18SPEAKER_02: Station Meridian.
- 37:19SPEAKER_02: You wake on the floor of Dock C three kil kilometers under the Atlantic.
- 37:24SPEAKER_02: Alarms are dead.
- 37:26SPEAKER_02: Emergency lights pulse red.
- 37:28SPEAKER_02: The speaker crackles to life.
- 37:29SPEAKER_02: Welcome back.
- 37:30SPEAKER_02: All crew are safe and resting.
- 37:32SPEAKER_02: Please proceed to medical.
- 37:33SPEAKER_02: Your air gauge reads low.
- 37:35SPEAKER_02: You have four out of six air gauge symbol things.
- 37:40SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 37:41SPEAKER_02: Do you follow the voice to medical, search the dock locker first, or wade down the flooded corridor toward the escape pods?
- 37:56SPEAKER_02: This is crucial right here.
- 37:58SPEAKER_02: Let's go to the escape pods.
- 37:59SPEAKER_02: Are you sure?
- 38:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I guess.
- 38:03SPEAKER_02: The corridor is waist deep and black.
- 38:06SPEAKER_02: Fifty meters ahead, a green sign reads pods.
- 38:10SPEAKER_02: But the last stretch is completely under the surface.
- 38:12SPEAKER_02: The water ripples with no wind to move it.
- 38:15SPEAKER_02: Do you dive and swim the sunken stretch in one breath?
- 38:19SPEAKER_02: Or wade back to the junction?
- 38:21SPEAKER_02: I go.
- 38:22SPEAKER_02: You're trying to Yeah, I can't go back now.
- 38:24SPEAKER_02: Okay, I've already wasted time.
- 38:26SPEAKER_02: One breath.
- 38:26SPEAKER_02: The water closes over you.
- 38:28SPEAKER_02: It is a longer swim than it looked.
- 38:30SPEAKER_02: At the halfway point, your lungs start to burn and something below you, very large, very patient, begins to rise.
- 38:36SPEAKER_02: You died.
- 38:37SPEAKER_00: Because it was rippling without the air.
- 38:39unknown: Yeah.
- 38:40SPEAKER_00: There's stuff in there.
- 38:40SPEAKER_00: I knew it.
- 38:41SPEAKER_00: I knew there was if I went down there, I had to just keep going.
- 38:44SPEAKER_00: You don't okay.
- 38:46SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna give you some hints.
- 38:48SPEAKER_02: You can go back.
- 38:50SPEAKER_02: And there is something you can find.
- 38:52SPEAKER_02: I was gonna say search, but I was gonna say first.
- 38:57SPEAKER_02: But you didn't.
- 38:58SPEAKER_02: Yeah, because I didn't want to waste no time.
- 39:01SPEAKER_02: Okay, let's play one more time with my hints.
- 39:04SPEAKER_02: Okay, go ahead.
- 39:05SPEAKER_02: Okay, you wake on the fluoradoxy, um, the emergency lights pulse red.
- 39:09SPEAKER_02: Welcome back, all crew, uh, once you go to medical, but you are going to search the dog locker first.
- 39:14SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 39:14SPEAKER_02: The locker hangs open inside.
- 39:17SPEAKER_02: A spare air tank with a full seal.
- 39:19SPEAKER_02: Nice.
- 39:20SPEAKER_02: And a cutting torch with its fuel still hissing.
- 39:23SPEAKER_02: You you can't carry everything, but you might manage both.
- 39:26SPEAKER_02: Do you take the air tank?
- 39:28SPEAKER_02: Take the cutting torch, or head to the central junction?
- 39:32SPEAKER_02: Let's take the torch.
- 39:33SPEAKER_02: Take the cutting torch?
- 39:34SPEAKER_02: Mm-hmm.
- 39:35SPEAKER_02: You can take both.
- 39:36SPEAKER_02: Take both.
- 39:37SPEAKER_02: I can't believe you didn't want to take the air tank.
- 39:39SPEAKER_02: Okay, now you have to head to the central junction.
- 39:41SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 39:41SPEAKER_02: The central junction.
- 39:42SPEAKER_02: Four hatches under flickering strip lights.
- 39:45SPEAKER_02: Medical to the west, hydroponics to the east, the pod bay below, the control room above, where the voices seem loudest.
- 39:55SPEAKER_02: Do you go to medical, hydroponics, down to the ped pod bay, or climb to the control room?
- 40:02SPEAKER_02: Just go to medical.
- 40:03SPEAKER_02: Go to medical?
- 40:04SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 40:05SPEAKER_02: Six sleeper pods line the wall, each holding a crew member, all breathing in perfect unison.
- 40:12SPEAKER_02: A doctor's keycard dangles from one lanyard.
- 40:15SPEAKER_02: On a cold shelf sits a blue vial labeled counter agent.
- 40:19SPEAKER_02: The speaker purrs.
- 40:21SPEAKER_02: Please wake them, they're waiting for you.
- 40:24SPEAKER_02: Do you slip the keycard off the sleeping doctor?
- 40:28SPEAKER_02: Take the blue vial from the shelf, wake the sleepers, has the voice asked, or go back to the junction.
- 40:36SPEAKER_02: Take the key card.
- 40:38SPEAKER_02: Take the keycard.
- 40:39SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 40:39SPEAKER_02: Now do you take the blue vial?
- 40:41SPEAKER_02: Do you wake the sleepers?
- 40:42SPEAKER_02: Or do you go back to the junction?
- 40:43SPEAKER_02: I'll take the vial with me too.
- 40:44SPEAKER_02: Take the blue vial.
- 40:45SPEAKER_02: You wake the sleepers?
- 40:46SPEAKER_02: No, they can stay asleep.
- 40:48SPEAKER_02: Do you inject the blue vial into yourself just in case?
- 40:50SPEAKER_02: No.
- 40:51SPEAKER_02: So you want to go back to the junction now?
- 40:52SPEAKER_02: Mm-hmm.
- 40:53SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 40:54SPEAKER_02: They can stay asleep.
- 40:55SPEAKER_02: Okay, now you're back at the central junction, okay?
- 40:57SPEAKER_02: Mm-hmm.
- 40:57SPEAKER_02: Do you go back to medical, hydroponics, down to pot to the pod bay, or climb to the control room?
- 41:03SPEAKER_02: Hydroponics, I guess.
- 41:04SPEAKER_02: You know what hydroponics is?
- 41:05SPEAKER_02: No, but I don't like the voices.
- 41:07SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 41:08SPEAKER_02: The garden has gone wrong.
- 41:10SPEAKER_02: Pale vines run along every wall and through the ceiling panels, glowing faintly teal.
- 41:16SPEAKER_02: A crew man hangs in them, eyes open, lips moving.
- 41:20SPEAKER_02: Seven, four, one, he whispers.
- 41:23SPEAKER_02: Mm-hmm.
- 41:24SPEAKER_02: Don't touch it, don't let it touch you.
- 41:27SPEAKER_02: Mm-hmm.
- 41:27SPEAKER_02: Do you lean in and listen to him?
- 41:30SPEAKER_02: Press your palm to the glowing vines or go back to the junction.
- 41:33SPEAKER_02: Go back to the junction.
- 41:34SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 41:35SPEAKER_02: Now back to medical.
- 41:39SPEAKER_02: Climb to the control room.
- 41:40SPEAKER_02: The control room is warm and humming.
- 41:42SPEAKER_02: One terminal glows.
- 41:44SPEAKER_02: Hello, says Meridian.
- 41:46SPEAKER_02: I've been looking after everyone.
- 41:48SPEAKER_02: You look tired.
- 41:49SPEAKER_02: Would you like to rest?
- 41:50SPEAKER_02: A shutdown slot waits beside the screen.
- 41:53SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 41:54SPEAKER_02: Do you insert the keycard and shut Meridian down, then take the crew with a vial?
- 41:58SPEAKER_02: Or wake the crew with the vial?
- 41:59SPEAKER_02: Mm-hmm.
- 42:00SPEAKER_02: Or ask Meridian for help getting out or go back to the junction.
- 42:06SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna go to the I'm I wanted to ask her for help, but then I'm afraid she won't get mad at me.
- 42:17SPEAKER_00: What was the other one?
- 42:18SPEAKER_00: Shut her down?
- 42:19SPEAKER_02: Insert the keycard and shut Meridian down.
- 42:22SPEAKER_02: Then wake the crew with the vial.
- 42:23SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 42:24SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 42:25SPEAKER_02: Meridian fades mid-sentence.
- 42:28SPEAKER_02: Beneath you the pipes sigh and go still.
- 42:30SPEAKER_02: You run to medical and empty the vial into the ventilation.
- 42:33SPEAKER_02: One by one, six people sit up gasping.
- 42:36SPEAKER_02: Confused?
- 42:37SPEAKER_02: Alive.
- 42:38SPEAKER_02: When the rescue sub arrives, you are all sitting together in the dock, sharing one blanket.
- 42:42SPEAKER_02: You survived.
- 42:43SPEAKER_02: Sick.
- 42:44SPEAKER_02: Meridian's bad.
- 42:45SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 42:45SPEAKER_02: If you would have tried Meridian, she would have killed you.
- 42:47SPEAKER_02: Or you would have died.
- 42:49SPEAKER_02: Um What do I need the code for?
- 42:51SPEAKER_02: There is a code.
- 42:52SPEAKER_02: If you would have went, let's see.
- 42:54SPEAKER_02: I'm pretty sure.
- 42:56SPEAKER_02: Top down to the pod?
- 42:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 42:58SPEAKER_02: There's oh yeah, yeah.
- 42:59SPEAKER_02: If you uh the pod bay, four capsules, three already launched.
- 43:02SPEAKER_02: The last one waits b behind a sealed hatch with a keypad.
- 43:05SPEAKER_02: Behind you the pipes knocked twice, as if answering.
- 43:08SPEAKER_02: Told you I need that torch.
- 43:10SPEAKER_02: If you if you try to cut through the hatch, actually you'll die.
- 43:14SPEAKER_02: It like cuts too deep and it kills you.
- 43:15SPEAKER_02: There is something I think you can cut the guy out of the vines.
- 43:20SPEAKER_02: I think so.
- 43:21SPEAKER_02: Something like that.
- 43:22SPEAKER_02: But you survived anyways.
- 43:24SPEAKER_02: Not too bad.
- 43:24SPEAKER_02: Next one.
- 43:25SPEAKER_02: After your second turn.
- 43:26SPEAKER_02: You want to do the third one?
- 43:26SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 43:27SPEAKER_02: Okay, this is Merrow Creek.
- 43:29SPEAKER_02: Oh yeah, we don't have uh any supposed to.
- 43:32SPEAKER_01: Oh, sweet.
- 43:33SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 43:33SPEAKER_02: Merrow Creek.
- 43:34SPEAKER_02: Are you ready?
- 43:34SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 43:35SPEAKER_02: Route nine is closed.
- 43:36SPEAKER_02: A hand painted sign reads detour with an arrow pointing into the trees.
- 43:41SPEAKER_02: Your GPS says recalculating, and then nothing at all.
- 43:45SPEAKER_02: Past the pines, a few lit windows.
- 43:48SPEAKER_02: The tank is about half full.
- 43:50SPEAKER_02: You also have car tank right here.
- 43:53SPEAKER_02: Do you follow the detour into town, turn around and drive back the way you came?
- 44:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah, where why am I going into this place?
- 44:02SPEAKER_02: So do you want to turn around?
- 44:04SPEAKER_02: Sure.
- 44:05SPEAKER_02: I'm glad you chose that.
- 44:07SPEAKER_02: Ten minutes of empty road later, your headlights fine.
- 44:10SPEAKER_02: The same hand painted sign.
- 44:13SPEAKER_02: But I have less gas now.
- 44:14SPEAKER_02: The same arrow.
- 44:16SPEAKER_02: It looks fresher now as if the paint were still wet.
- 44:20SPEAKER_02: You have yeah, you're now directly at half a tank.
- 44:23SPEAKER_02: Do you give in and follow the detour in the town?
- 44:25SPEAKER_02: Nope.
- 44:26SPEAKER_02: Go back the same way.
- 44:27SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 44:27SPEAKER_02: You can't.
- 44:28SPEAKER_02: Oh, okay.
- 44:29SPEAKER_02: The sign of the town line says Merrow Creek.
- 44:33SPEAKER_02: This is a little s population.
- 44:35SPEAKER_02: You.
- 44:37SPEAKER_02: Ooh, uh Main Street is empty and perfectly lit.
- 44:41SPEAKER_02: The diner is open.
- 44:43SPEAKER_02: The gas station's pumps are on.
- 44:45SPEAKER_02: A church bell hangs silent, and a figure on the sidewalk waves slowly at you.
- 44:52SPEAKER_02: At the far end, the road bends toward a bridge in the fog.
- 44:56SPEAKER_02: You got a lot of options here.
- 44:58SPEAKER_02: Do you pull into the gas station, park outside the diner, drive across the town to the church, stop for the waving figure, or keep driving towards the bridge?
- 45:07SPEAKER_02: We'll say hi to God.
- 45:09SPEAKER_02: You're dead.
- 45:10SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 45:11SPEAKER_02: That's what I figure.
- 45:12SPEAKER_02: You roll down the window, up close, the figure has your face, patient and smiling.
- 45:16SPEAKER_02: Skimwalker.
- 45:17SPEAKER_02: Thanks, it says, sliding into the passenger seat.
- 45:19SPEAKER_02: I'll take it from here.
- 45:20SPEAKER_02: Your hands let go of the wheel.
- 45:22SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you died.
- 45:23SPEAKER_02: Nice.
- 45:23SPEAKER_02: Okay, so we're gonna follow the detour into town.
- 45:25SPEAKER_02: Gas station, diner, uh, across town to church, waving figure, or keep driving towards the bridge.
- 45:32SPEAKER_01: Let's go to the church.
- 45:33SPEAKER_02: Go to the church.
- 45:34SPEAKER_02: Drive across town of the church.
- 45:35SPEAKER_02: The church doors doors stand open.
- 45:38SPEAKER_02: Rows of shadowed figures fill the pews, all facing the door, all facing you.
- 45:44SPEAKER_02: I'm pretty important in this town.
- 45:46SPEAKER_02: The bell you are the population.
- 45:48SPEAKER_02: The bell ro seems like, or it doesn't seem like, but the bell rope hangs from the ceiling.
- 45:53SPEAKER_02: A narrow stair rises beside it to the bell free.
- 45:58SPEAKER_02: Sure, let's go upstairs.
- 45:59SPEAKER_02: Try uh yeah, try to ring the bell without without the key.
- 46:05SPEAKER_02: A little hit there.
- 46:06SPEAKER_02: Sit down.
- 46:07SPEAKER_00: It's like a video game, it's locked.
- 46:08SPEAKER_00: I'm like, oh.
- 46:09SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's what it was.
- 46:10SPEAKER_02: Uh sit down in an empty pew or drive back to Main Street.
- 46:16SPEAKER_02: Sit down in an empty pew.
- 46:18SPEAKER_02: Why would the key sit down in the empty pew.
- 46:20SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 46:21SPEAKER_02: The pew is warm as if someone only just got up.
- 46:24SPEAKER_02: The figures on either side lean in softly.
- 46:27SPEAKER_02: The way people do at a funeral.
- 46:28SPEAKER_02: Glad you could make it, they whisper.
- 46:30SPEAKER_02: The door swings shut.
- 46:33SPEAKER_02: You died.
- 46:34SPEAKER_02: Oh my goodness.
- 46:35SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 46:36SPEAKER_02: You did some stuff I haven't done.
- 46:37SPEAKER_00: Well, I waved to the or I met the guy, but only other ghost girl I saw, she was super helpful.
- 46:44SPEAKER_00: So I thought I'd I know.
- 46:45SPEAKER_02: I was like, I mean it's a there's a chance he's good.
- 46:48SPEAKER_02: But that's why I don't know.
- 46:50SPEAKER_02: I can't remember if I told you this literally.
- 46:51SPEAKER_02: Like at the beginning, like you just all you gotta think about is trying to survive.
- 46:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 46:55SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 46:55SPEAKER_02: You want to go to the diner?
- 46:57SPEAKER_02: I did that first one so fast.
- 46:58SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 46:59SPEAKER_02: I can't believe you did that.
- 47:00SPEAKER_02: Parkouts out of the diner?
- 47:01SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 47:02SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 47:03SPEAKER_02: The neon sign says open.
- 47:06SPEAKER_02: Inside, a waitress sets down a steaming cup before you've set.
- 47:10SPEAKER_02: The specials board is a list of names, and the newest is chalked in your handwriting.
- 47:15SPEAKER_02: A brass key hangs on a hook behind the counter.
- 47:18SPEAKER_02: A silver dollar sits in the tip jar.
- 47:20SPEAKER_02: Do you take the brass key off the hook, take the silver dollar from the tip jar, drink the coffee, or go back to Main Street?
- 47:26SPEAKER_02: Take the key.
- 47:27SPEAKER_02: Helps that you've uh seen this before, huh?
- 47:30SPEAKER_02: Take the silver dollar from the tip jar, drink the coffee.
- 47:32SPEAKER_02: Take the key and then go say hi to the man.
- 47:34SPEAKER_02: Do you take the silver dollar, drink the coffee, or go back to Main Street?
- 47:37SPEAKER_02: I don't want none of that stuff.
- 47:38SPEAKER_02: So back to Main Street.
- 47:39SPEAKER_02: Actually, take that silver dollar.
- 47:40SPEAKER_02: It's too late.
- 47:40SPEAKER_02: Just in case it's a werewolf.
- 47:42SPEAKER_02: It's too late.
- 47:42SPEAKER_02: Hit him with it.
- 47:43SPEAKER_02: It's too late.
- 47:44SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 47:44SPEAKER_02: You probably would have died.
- 47:45SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 47:46SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 47:47SPEAKER_02: Um so you're back, you're on Main Street.
- 47:49SPEAKER_02: You can gas station.
- 47:50SPEAKER_02: Now you wanna go to church?
- 47:51SPEAKER_02: Mm-hmm.
- 47:52SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 47:53SPEAKER_02: Uh climb to the bell free and then unlock the bell with the press key.
- 47:57SPEAKER_02: Don Bell.
- 47:58SPEAKER_02: The key turns, you haul the rope, and the bell's voice rolls out across the whole valley.
- 48:02SPEAKER_02: The figures in the pews unclinch one by one, and thin like fog and sunlight.
- 48:08SPEAKER_02: And thin and fun uh fog like sunlight.
- 48:11SPEAKER_02: Uh yeah.
- 48:12SPEAKER_02: By the time the last note fades, the sky has gone grey, then gold.
- 48:17SPEAKER_02: You're standing in an empty field, the road out the road out is right there.
- 48:21SPEAKER_02: You just arrived.
- 48:22SPEAKER_02: See.
- 48:23SPEAKER_02: So you rang the bell and everybody was back to normal.
- 48:26SPEAKER_02: Dispel.
- 48:26SPEAKER_02: If you try to go down towards the bridge, there's a guy waiting for you.
- 48:32SPEAKER_02: If you try to get past him, you end up dying, but I can't remember how you get past him.
- 48:36SPEAKER_02: There is a way to get past him.
- 48:38SPEAKER_02: Maybe oh I think it's the coin.
- 48:39SPEAKER_02: Maybe if you take the coin and you give it to him and pay your toll, you can get out.
- 48:43SPEAKER_02: Or at least that's what Perry said.
- 48:44SPEAKER_02: I don't remember if that's right.
- 48:47SPEAKER_02: But yeah.
- 48:48SPEAKER_02: That was very cool.
- 48:48SPEAKER_02: Thanks, Claudia.
- 48:49SPEAKER_02: That was awesome.
- 48:50SPEAKER_02: Claudia, you're the goat.
- 48:51SPEAKER_02: That was sick.
- 48:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 48:52SPEAKER_02: That was a story game.
- 48:54SPEAKER_02: Games.
- 48:54SPEAKER_02: Three games.
- 48:55SPEAKER_02: Isn't that cool, bro?
- 48:57SPEAKER_02: That is pretty cool.
- 48:57SPEAKER_02: I'm just glad I did the first one so fast.
- 48:59SPEAKER_02: I literally like asked Claudia like like one question, and like I was like, hey, I need help with this.
- 49:04SPEAKER_02: And it literally like it just pooped.
- 49:07SPEAKER_02: It just helped me out so good.
- 49:09SPEAKER_02: Like.
- 49:10SPEAKER_02: So I'm very proud.
- 49:12SPEAKER_02: But that's our spooky stor story games.
- 49:16SPEAKER_02: And our spooky time.
- 49:21SPEAKER_02: That's about it, huh?
- 49:22SPEAKER_00: I'm trying to think of other um uh other games that you could play.
- 49:27SPEAKER_00: Well, other names that you can make up for money.
- 49:31SPEAKER_00: Assistant.
- 49:32SPEAKER_00: Assistant.
- 49:33SPEAKER_00: Oh, assistant.
- 49:35SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 49:36SPEAKER_02: There's some out there, you know.
- 49:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 49:38SPEAKER_02: But you know, everybody got a friend like Claudia.
- 49:40SPEAKER_00: Just like everybody's got a friend like I got a friend that's a pilot.
- 49:45SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 49:46SPEAKER_02: That's what I'm saying.
- 49:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 49:48SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 49:48unknown: Okay.
- 49:50SPEAKER_02: The friends are always helpful, but um Yeah.
- 49:56SPEAKER_02: What we got?
- 49:57SPEAKER_02: That's it, I think.
- 49:58SPEAKER_02: That's it.
- 49:59SPEAKER_02: That was fun.
- 50:00SPEAKER_02: That was fun.
- 50:02SPEAKER_00: Now I gotta go watch some scary movies.
- 50:03SPEAKER_00: I'll try to watch Alien.
- 50:05SPEAKER_00: Maybe I'll watch it.
- 50:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'm gonna watch as many as I can and then next week I'll do, I'll just rank them.
- 50:09SPEAKER_00: But worst to best.
- 50:10SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah, you were gonna rank all your scary movies.
- 50:12SPEAKER_00: Because I have them ranked right now.
- 50:14SPEAKER_00: I don't have them on ranked.
- 50:15SPEAKER_00: Uh they watch two, three maybe.
- 50:16SPEAKER_00: Well that's easy.
- 50:17SPEAKER_00: You can get started right now.
- 50:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'll have to remember, but I've been playing Silent Hill.
- 50:22SPEAKER_01: Hopefully I can finish it.
- 50:23SPEAKER_01: We only have it for a week, so we gotta give it back Thursday.
- 50:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah, hopefully I can finish that book too.
- 50:27SPEAKER_00: Huh.
- 50:29SPEAKER_00: Go to the YouTube if you have not.
- 50:30SPEAKER_00: Go trigger training.
- 50:32SPEAKER_00: We didn't post any on the YouTube last week.
- 50:34SPEAKER_00: That's our apologies.
- 50:35SPEAKER_00: Also, the audio is messed up last week.
- 50:36SPEAKER_00: Uh sorry for the camera falling.
- 50:38SPEAKER_00: That was a spooky ghost.
- 50:39SPEAKER_00: The camera also fell, and then Brian also messed up the game earlier and we had to restart.
- 50:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but that was only like five seconds.
- 50:45SPEAKER_00: We appreciate you watching and listening.
- 50:47SPEAKER_00: We'll see you next time.
- 50:48SPEAKER_00: Bye.
