Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Now or Presents No Mark Simon Shaw. Hey, it's Friday.
- 0:10Speaker 1: We got a lot to get too. Now they're gonna
- 0:13Speaker 1: be it'll be cold today and then a little warmer tomorrow.
- 0:16Speaker 1: But Saturday night, the very first snow of the year.
- 0:19Speaker 1: It's not going to be much and maybe just an
- 0:21Speaker 1: inch or so, but you'll actually see some snow when
- 0:24Speaker 1: you wake up on Sunday morning, just a little, just
- 0:27Speaker 1: a little, and then it gets warm again. So don't worry.
- 0:29Speaker 1: It's not gonna be a bad winter. We got lots
- 0:32Speaker 1: of stuff to talk about. Now. You got to remember,
- 0:37Speaker 1: go easy on your crazy Democratic friends. I know they
- 0:41Speaker 1: sound crazy, they're so angry. What the hell are they
- 0:43Speaker 1: so angry about? But you got to remember they're living
- 0:47Speaker 1: in this little bubble, in this echo chamber where they're
- 0:50Speaker 1: just fed all kinds of stuff. And now they watch
- 0:54Speaker 1: CNN and MS whatever the hell it's called now and
- 0:58Speaker 1: New York Times, and they're not exposed. They don't have
- 1:02Speaker 1: access to a lot of information. They just spoon fed
- 1:06Speaker 1: little bits and pieces of a story to create a
- 1:09Speaker 1: certain narrative. For instance, they'll tell you right now that
- 1:14Speaker 1: President Trump, if you're watching these shows all day and
- 1:16Speaker 1: all you know is President Trump is very, very sick.
- 1:20Speaker 1: He has tremendous medical problems. He's falling asleep every second,
- 1:25Speaker 1: and his popularity is just sinking in the polls. He
- 1:28Speaker 1: is plungings. So they're running around thinking all of this stuff,
- 1:33Speaker 1: which is fine. Let him think whatever they want to think.
- 1:35Speaker 1: You know, they decide whatever they want to decide, and
- 1:37Speaker 1: that's it. They believe it. So the fact of the
- 1:41Speaker 1: matter is there's nothing wrong with him. Medically, he's fine.
- 1:45Speaker 1: He just had a very very very detailed physical He's
- 1:49Speaker 1: absolutely fine. You know, he's seventy eight, seventy nine years old.
- 1:52Speaker 1: You can always have little things. He's got some swelling
- 1:54Speaker 1: in his ankles, he's got something on his hand. This
- 1:58Speaker 1: is almost nothing. This is minor medical stuff at the
- 2:02Speaker 1: age of seventy nine. He's not falling asleep. There are
- 2:05Speaker 1: people around him all day and night. The guy goes,
- 2:07Speaker 1: you know, eighteen nineteen hours a day. Then even when
- 2:10Speaker 1: he's home, doesn't sleep. He's tweeting and texting and doing
- 2:13Speaker 1: all sorts of stuff, making phone calls all night. I know,
- 2:16Speaker 1: at one time at the cabinet meeting, looked like he
- 2:18Speaker 1: fell asleep. It looked like his eyes were closed, and
- 2:21Speaker 1: they show you those pictures of his eyes are closed. Well,
- 2:24Speaker 1: go back and watch the video. It was Marco Rubio
- 2:28Speaker 1: talking and Pete Heggsath talking. But watch his eyes are closed,
- 2:32Speaker 1: his head is down. But at one point Exit makes
- 2:36Speaker 1: a joke. Watch Trump, he reacts. You can see him
- 2:38Speaker 1: laugh at the joke, and you can see his face.
- 2:41Speaker 1: He's reacting to everything that's being said. So his eyes
- 2:43Speaker 1: are closed, but he's he's not asleep during the cabinet meeting.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Now with Joe Biden. You so I'm actually asleep at times.
- 2:49Speaker 1: So now the other thing I'll convince you is he's
- 2:52Speaker 1: so far down in the polls on the economy, everything
- 2:55Speaker 1: that there's no chance in the midterms for Trump or
- 2:59Speaker 1: for the Republicans. They did this to Reagan, by the way,
- 3:04Speaker 1: Reagan's first term, they said he they kept broadcasting this,
- 3:07Speaker 1: putting this in the news every day. He's so fired
- 3:10Speaker 1: down in the polls, and they try to do everything
- 3:13Speaker 1: they could to hurt him. And in fact, believe it
- 3:16Speaker 1: or not, Reagan had a run for reelection, believe it
- 3:18Speaker 1: or not, as the year before the reelection, Reagan was
- 3:23Speaker 1: trailing Mondale in the polls and he was also trailing
- 3:27Speaker 1: John Glenn in the polls, so Reagan was in third. Now.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Of course, the following year, Reagan won the biggest landslide ever.
- 3:35Speaker 1: He won forty nine states. It was the biggest landslide ever.
- 3:38Speaker 1: He could have won all fifty if he wanted to,
- 3:41Speaker 1: but he told campaign manager Ed Rollins give up Minnesota,
- 3:45Speaker 1: let Mondale win Minnesota because it didn't want to humiliate him.
- 3:49Speaker 1: So it was the biggest landslide ever, even though at
- 3:51Speaker 1: this point the polls were off. So don't pay any
- 3:53Speaker 1: attention to all these polls. It means absolutely nothing. Also,
- 3:58Speaker 1: the big beautiful bill that was past has not started yet.
- 4:01Speaker 1: It kicks in in January. And people are telling me that,
- 4:05Speaker 1: you know, when this bill kicks in in January, all
- 4:08Speaker 1: of a sudden, you're going to be getting tax cuts
- 4:10Speaker 1: and tax breaks. You're gonna be paying a lot less tax,
- 4:13Speaker 1: so you'll see more in your paycheck. But I'm being
- 4:15Speaker 1: told by people in DC that the Americans are going
- 4:19Speaker 1: to be startled by the change in their paychecks. It's
- 4:23Speaker 1: going to be big. You're going to see a big,
- 4:25Speaker 1: big change in paychecks starting in January. So everything will
- 4:29Speaker 1: start turning around then. Now, when it comes to the polls,
- 4:34Speaker 1: don't go by one they're talking about today, the AP poll.
- 4:38Speaker 1: There's no organization more partisan, corrupt, slanted, biased than AP.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Don't trust them for a second. We'll have the best
- 4:47Speaker 1: polster in the world on the show later we'll get
- 4:50Speaker 1: the real numbers coming up. So and by the way,
- 4:54Speaker 1: when you look at the polling, President Trump pulls very
- 4:58Speaker 1: very well, very good poll numbers. If you isolate issues
- 5:02Speaker 1: and just do the economy, that pole is low. But
- 5:05Speaker 1: not Trump himself. They forget to tell you that part.
- 5:08Speaker 1: But they just make up a whole scenario for their audience.
- 5:11Speaker 1: They drill it in their heads all they're all coordinated NBC, ABC, CBS,
- 5:16Speaker 1: New York Times, CNN, MS, whatever the hell it is,
- 5:19Speaker 1: and they just keep pushing that narrative and all your
- 5:22Speaker 1: Democratic friends run around thinking this. I'll give you a
- 5:25Speaker 1: good example. The oil tankers. They never ever tell anybody
- 5:30Speaker 1: in the audience what the deal is with the oil tankers.
- 5:33Speaker 1: All they show is the video of the Navy seals
- 5:36Speaker 1: repelling down from the helicopter seizing an oil What the
- 5:39Speaker 1: hell they're just seizing an oil tanker from another country?
- 5:43Speaker 1: Why would they do such as they never tell the
- 5:45Speaker 1: audience anything. It's an illegal tanker. There's a warrant out
- 5:49Speaker 1: for that tanker. It has been used to ship Iranian oil,
- 5:53Speaker 1: violating all the sanctions, but they never tell you that.
- 5:56Speaker 1: If you're watching Rachel Maddow, you know all these fake news.
- 6:01Speaker 1: They try to look very serious. They put it out
- 6:03Speaker 1: of a background that looks like it's some sort of
- 6:05Speaker 1: news show, and she's got glasses and she looks very professorial,
- 6:09Speaker 1: but she doesn't know what the hell he's talking about,
- 6:12Speaker 1: and she's never telling you the actual story.
- 6:15Speaker 2: For instance, Trump really doesn't seem to have any idea
- 6:18Speaker 2: why he's going to war in Venezuela, nor does he
- 6:21Speaker 2: seem to be in charge of any of the decisions
- 6:23Speaker 2: that are leading us to this war. And so we
- 6:25Speaker 2: also have to worry about who's actually running the government
- 6:28Speaker 2: right now and who is actually driving us toward this
- 6:30Speaker 2: regime change war that the President doesn't seem to be
- 6:34Speaker 2: at the helm of. We don't know who is, and
- 6:36Speaker 2: we don't know why.
- 6:38Speaker 1: So if you're the viewer, you think, wow, he's just nuts.
- 6:41Speaker 1: He just sees the tanker. He doesn't know why. As
- 6:44Speaker 1: she said, he doesn't even know why. He doesn't know why.
- 6:46Speaker 1: He just I don't know where he decided to seize
- 6:49Speaker 1: the tanker. Oh, none of this is true. Again, there
- 6:51Speaker 1: was a warrant out for that tanker. He'd been violating sanctions.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Tankers are sees. It's a normal thing. We've been doing
- 6:58Speaker 1: it for years if you violate the sanction. Biden got
- 7:01Speaker 1: very sloppy about it and stopped. But we do seize tankers.
- 7:04Speaker 1: It's perfectly normal. It wasn't out of the ordinary. Here's
- 7:07Speaker 1: a government guy who's the expert in this.
- 7:08Speaker 3: The US doesn't bluff when it comes to sanctions enforcement.
- 7:12Speaker 3: This wasn't just a tanker seizure. It was a warning
- 7:15Speaker 3: shot to every single dictator who thinks they can outsmart
- 7:19Speaker 3: US law enforcement. And we've got to let President Trump
- 7:21Speaker 3: ramp up the heat on Maduro, who is charged with
- 7:24Speaker 3: flooding our streets with fentanyl and killing our fellow Americans.
- 7:27Speaker 3: So this was lawful enforcement action. It was executed under
- 7:31Speaker 3: a federal seizure warrant against a vessel that's been involved
- 7:35Speaker 3: in transporting sanctioned oil for years, and the US has
- 7:38Speaker 3: the authority to do it. And we need to continue
- 7:40Speaker 3: to send a clear message to Maduro that the US
- 7:43Speaker 3: is going to uphold sanctions and deny his illicit networks.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Yeah, now, Rachel Maddow never told the audience is that
- 7:48Speaker 1: there was a warrant out on that tanker. It had
- 7:50Speaker 1: been violating sanctions repeatedly transporting Iranian oil, transporting it too
- 7:55Speaker 1: places that are sanctioned, like China and other stuff. Here's
- 7:58Speaker 1: the White House spokesman.
- 8:00Speaker 3: Is committed to stopping the illegal flow of drugs into
- 8:02Speaker 3: our country. He's also fully committed to effectuating this administration's
- 8:07Speaker 3: sanction policy. And that's what you saw in the world
- 8:09Speaker 3: saw take place yesterday.
- 8:11Speaker 1: They're enforcing the actual sanctions on these tankers. The other
- 8:14Speaker 1: thing is they want to bankrupt of Venezuela. They want
- 8:18Speaker 1: to stop the drug traffic. Stop the drug traffic stop.
- 8:23Speaker 1: You close the border so it's not coming over the
- 8:25Speaker 1: border anymore. That's why the drug cartels move to transporting
- 8:28Speaker 1: it by water by sea. So they're going to stop
- 8:32Speaker 1: that now and they're going to eventually shut it down.
- 8:34Speaker 1: And once you stop the flow of this oil, this
- 8:36Speaker 1: illegal oil, this is how Venezuela's a terrible leader makes
- 8:41Speaker 1: his money illegally transporting sanctioned oil to sanctioned places and
- 8:47Speaker 1: all this drug stuff. So once you shut that down,
- 8:50Speaker 1: he's going to go broke and run out of money.
- 8:52Speaker 1: So when Trump says, this guy's going to be gone,
- 8:54Speaker 1: well that's why. Here's Kat McFarlane.
- 8:56Speaker 4: Venezuela. It pretty soon runs out of money. I mean
- 8:58Speaker 4: really soon runs out of money. And that's the money
- 9:01Speaker 4: that Maduro used to pay the military, to pay off
- 9:03Speaker 4: all the bad guys to keep himself in power. So
- 9:06Speaker 4: that's why when Trump says, oh, I think Maduro's days
- 9:09Speaker 4: are numbered, I think he's counting off the days in
- 9:12Speaker 4: tell Mandua runs out of money.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Yeah, it's millions and millions a day. These are illegal shipments. Now,
- 9:17Speaker 1: we do seize tankers. We've been Every administration does it.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Here's here's the Navy Seals.
- 9:22Speaker 5: We've been sanctioning tankers out of Venezuela and many other
- 9:25Speaker 5: countries for years, and seizing oil tankers is actually not
- 9:29Speaker 5: uncommon for us to do. In twenty fourteen, in my
- 9:31Speaker 5: old community, the seals parachuted in the season oil tanker
- 9:34Speaker 5: in the morning Glory and the Mediterranean, which is also
- 9:36Speaker 5: smuggling illicit oil. Because many of these rogue regimes and
- 9:39Speaker 5: terrorist organizations use sometimes on flag vessels or wrongly flagged
- 9:44Speaker 5: vessels to move oil around to fund that their illicit operations,
- 9:48Speaker 5: or use those tankers to smuggle other subsces like drug
- 9:51Speaker 5: or weapons.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Twenty fourteen. Who is President Dan Oh? Yeah, Obama seizing
- 9:57Speaker 1: oil tankers. Well, it's okay when he does it. When
- 10:01Speaker 1: he does it, it's different. Now again, we always do this,
- 10:05Speaker 1: We always support illegal criminals. But everything changed with the
- 10:10Speaker 1: Biden years where they decided to just throw the border
- 10:12Speaker 1: wide open, do absolutely nothing. They also decided they would
- 10:16Speaker 1: not enforce any sanctions anywhere, so they got used to
- 10:21Speaker 1: that craziness and now they're stunned. President Trump will continue
- 10:25Speaker 1: to blow up narco terrorist's boats, seize illegal tankers and
- 10:29Speaker 1: all that stuff, and he's going to stop the drugs
- 10:31Speaker 1: no matter what you have to do.
- 10:33Speaker 3: Drug traffic by sea is down ninety and nobody can
- 10:37Speaker 3: figure out who the eight percent is because I have
- 10:39Speaker 3: no idea.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Anybody getting involved in that right now is not doing well.
- 10:44Speaker 1: And we'll start that on land too. It's going to
- 10:46Speaker 1: be sorting on land pretty soon. Here you go. But
- 10:50Speaker 1: if you're fake news, if you're MS whatever they call them.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Viewer you're just a bobblehead nodding when they tell you
- 10:58Speaker 1: the president has no idea why. He doesn't even know why.
- 11:01Speaker 1: He didn't mean there's no reason to seas he's take.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Because really doesn't seem to have any idea why he's
- 11:07Speaker 2: going to war in Venezuela, nor does he seem to
- 11:09Speaker 2: be in charge of any of the decisions that are
- 11:12Speaker 2: leading us to this war, and so we also have
- 11:14Speaker 2: to worry.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Of course, this is just nonsense. He has no idea
- 11:18Speaker 1: why he's doing this. What the hell does she know about?
- 11:20Speaker 1: What he knows has nothing to do with him. You
- 11:23Speaker 1: know how they always say President Trump said without evidence.
- 11:26Speaker 1: He said, well, she has no evidence, none to back
- 11:30Speaker 1: up anything she's saying. Hey, it's just about the end
- 11:33Speaker 1: of the year. They've looked back on the first year
- 11:36Speaker 1: of Trump. Two point five million illegals deported, two point
- 11:41Speaker 1: five million illegals deported, one point nine million. That's almost
- 11:46Speaker 1: two million self deported. Self deported because they saw the
- 11:50Speaker 1: ice rays, they saw what was going to happen, so
- 11:52Speaker 1: they supported themselves. But that's one point nine million self deported.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Holman and his team got six one hundred thousand illegals
- 12:01Speaker 1: out in the first year, so a two point five million.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Trump's only got four years, but that would bring him
- 12:08Speaker 1: to ten million that he'll get out by then. So
- 12:11Speaker 1: he's enforcing a lot of things that the Biden administration
- 12:15Speaker 1: wouldn't enforce. When it came to law and order, the
- 12:17Speaker 1: Biden administration decided they're not going to enforce anything. You know,
- 12:21Speaker 1: there's a rule a law. Now, if you're a truck
- 12:24Speaker 1: driver driving one of those big, huge trucks out there
- 12:27Speaker 1: on the highway, the law is you have to speak English.
- 12:30Speaker 1: You have to be tested for English. Well, obviously it's
- 12:33Speaker 1: a federal law because if you don't speak English, you
- 12:38Speaker 1: won't be able to understand the traffic signs, you won't
- 12:40Speaker 1: be able to even talk to a cop if he
- 12:43Speaker 1: stops you, you won't be able to fill out a
- 12:45Speaker 1: report correctly, that's the law. You have to be able
- 12:50Speaker 1: to speak English. Now, the Obama administration tried to loosen
- 12:54Speaker 1: up that law a little, but President Trump has put
- 12:58Speaker 1: it back into effect. You've got to speak English to
- 13:01Speaker 1: drive one of those big, huge trucks. You've got to
- 13:03Speaker 1: be able to read the signs, all of that stuff.
- 13:06Speaker 1: And a lot of proponents who are pushing for this
- 13:09Speaker 1: crackdown included family members of accident victims who had been
- 13:13Speaker 1: killed by those trucks because they couldn't speak English, couldn't
- 13:16Speaker 1: read the signs. So there's been a crackdown and recently
- 13:21Speaker 1: ten thousand drivers have lost their US driving privileges, taken
- 13:26Speaker 1: off the road because they couldn't pass an English test,
- 13:30Speaker 1: cracked down by the Trump administration. Now you're going to
- 13:33Speaker 1: you'll see this probably Monday on Rachel Madda. How horrible
- 13:36Speaker 1: this look what they're doing to these poor illegals who
- 13:39Speaker 1: broke him. A assassin of Charlie Kirk. First day in
- 13:43Speaker 1: court yesterday, very very very creepy, laughing, joking around with
- 13:53Speaker 1: his attorneys. You know, you're in court for being an
- 13:56Speaker 1: assassin for murder. They got you, They got all the evidence,
- 14:00Speaker 1: laughing and joking us. Sometimes sometimes these guys are a
- 14:05Speaker 1: little drugged up. They did that with Oj. Remember in
- 14:09Speaker 1: his trial, he didn't quite look right. They drugged him
- 14:11Speaker 1: up because Oj was quite a temperamental guy with a
- 14:14Speaker 1: big temper, and they wanted him calm in court, so
- 14:17Speaker 1: they gave him some drugs to really really really calm
- 14:20Speaker 1: them down. So they might have done that with this kid.
- 14:22Speaker 1: He's only twenty two, so he might have been on
- 14:25Speaker 1: something to keep him very calm, but there he was
- 14:27Speaker 1: laughing and smiling. The judge look like looks like he
- 14:31Speaker 1: was going to allow I guess he's going to allow
- 14:33Speaker 1: cameras in the court. The trial will be televised. I
- 14:36Speaker 1: don't know what the point of that is. This guy's
- 14:39Speaker 1: clearly guilty. You got all the evidence, you got everything
- 14:41Speaker 1: you need. Just convict the guy, lock him up, give
- 14:43Speaker 1: him the electric chair. I think they have capital punishment
- 14:47Speaker 1: in that state. But they're doing pretty well. Actually, he's
- 14:51Speaker 1: got these what do you call those free lawyers, those
- 14:56Speaker 1: court appointed public defenders, But they're doing pretty well. They
- 15:01Speaker 1: won the right to have him in civilian clothes in court.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Normally you put a suit and tie on. In this
- 15:07Speaker 1: case it was just a button down shirt. But he
- 15:10Speaker 1: is shackled to protect people in the courtroom. The judges
- 15:14Speaker 1: ordered the cameras cannot show the shackles on him. Hey,
- 15:18Speaker 1: if you can allow cameras, allow cameras, and apparently one
- 15:22Speaker 1: camera caught up just a glimpse of the shackles, and
- 15:25Speaker 1: the judge went nuts, threatening to throw all the cameras out,
- 15:28Speaker 1: but you got to remember the jury. We'll see the
- 15:31Speaker 1: shackles and realize this guy's very dangerous. He looks nuts,
- 15:35Speaker 1: Luigi Mangione completely nuts, looks like a just totally crazy.
- 15:40Speaker 1: But it looks like you'll get to see this trial.
- 15:42Speaker 1: I don't know. You know, these democrats go crazy. Luigi
- 15:47Speaker 1: Mangiona has fan clubs, he has groupies, he has fans
- 15:50Speaker 1: cheering them as he comes in and out of the court.
- 15:52Speaker 1: You may see the same thing for this lunatic Tyler
- 15:55Speaker 1: Robinson in court as well. Hey, Frank Sinatra's hundred tenth
- 16:00Speaker 1: birthday today be one hundred and ten today born December.
- 16:05Speaker 1: What's the day today? I forgot his birthday? December twelfth.
- 16:09Speaker 1: December twelfth, Yeah, December twelfth, Hoboken, New Jersey, of course.
- 16:15Speaker 1: And they're having that birthday party at Patsy's. It's all
- 16:19Speaker 1: sold out. You can't there's no more tickets to it.
- 16:21Speaker 1: But you can be able to get the podcast. Just
- 16:24Speaker 1: go online and just type Brank Sinatra. You'll find the
- 16:27Speaker 1: podcast of it. Not everybody's leaving Manhattan. You might know
- 16:33Speaker 1: somebody who's leaving because of Mom Donnie. But apartment sales
- 16:37Speaker 1: are very, very strong and rents. People are renting apartments
- 16:41Speaker 1: here like crazy. In fact, right now you can't rent
- 16:44Speaker 1: an apartment. They've hit record highs, record highs. Apartments are going.
- 16:49Speaker 1: You know what the average rent now is in New
- 16:50Speaker 1: York fifty six hundred a month. Fifty six hundred a
- 16:54Speaker 1: month average rent. But that's because people are renting them
- 16:57Speaker 1: like crazy. How do you do something, how do you
- 17:00Speaker 1: create affordabilding? Well, if your mom, Donnie, if you can
- 17:03Speaker 1: actually get a lot of people to leave, that will
- 17:05Speaker 1: bring down the rents. But hey, by the way, mom,
- 17:07Speaker 1: Donnie is announced he's putting tariffs on businesses. You know
- 17:09Speaker 1: these Democrats claim they hate tariffs. He's announced he wants
- 17:13Speaker 1: to put tariffs on business He calls them corporate tax increases.
- 17:18Speaker 1: But it'd be a corporate tax increase, the same thing
- 17:19Speaker 1: as a tariff. It is a tariff. So he wants
- 17:22Speaker 1: to tariff uh, New York City businesses. Hey, we'll take
- 17:25Speaker 1: some calls next. Eight hundred three two one zero seven
- 17:29Speaker 1: ten is the number. Eight hundred three two one zero
- 17:32Speaker 1: seven ten.
- 17:34Speaker 6: Get instant access to Mark by setting a pre set
- 17:37Speaker 6: in the iHeartRadio app for his live.
- 17:39Speaker 7: Show and his podcast.
- 17:42Speaker 1: Now back to the Mark Simone show on wor Hey
- 17:46Speaker 1: you Dixon calls eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Is the number eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Let's go to Mike and Florida. Mike, how you doing.
- 17:58Speaker 8: Good morning, Mark, Happy birthday to the Chairman of the board.
- 18:03Speaker 1: To one hundred and ten today, one hundred and ten.
- 18:06Speaker 8: One hundred and ten years young. You know you mentioned
- 18:10Speaker 8: Jackie Vernon recently and it was it rang a bell
- 18:14Speaker 8: because I remember he used to do this bit, you know,
- 18:16Speaker 8: with he'd had the clicker. Here I am on my
- 18:17Speaker 8: summer vacation.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Yeah, for those who are Jackie Vernon was a comedian
- 18:21Speaker 1: back in the sixties, very popular and he was a
- 18:24Speaker 1: very boring guy. That was his act that he was
- 18:26Speaker 1: the most boring quiet and he'd say hello exactly, hello friends,
- 18:31Speaker 1: and he would do like a slide show with a
- 18:33Speaker 1: clicker and he goes, right, this is real. But it
- 18:35Speaker 1: was a very boring guy. Now, this thing came out
- 18:38Speaker 1: the other day that he had like twelve families, nine
- 18:40Speaker 1: thousand women.
- 18:42Speaker 8: He was a carrouser. But I saw, you know, he
- 18:44Speaker 8: was on Sullivan and Sullivan. People may forget he had
- 18:49Speaker 8: the greatest comedians week after week on from you know,
- 18:53Speaker 8: the ordinary Jackie Vernons, but he knows Myron Cohen and
- 18:58Speaker 8: Alan King and Joan John Byner and Sandy Barren and
- 19:02Speaker 8: two guys like London Lee and Stanley Meyron Handleman.
- 19:05Speaker 1: You know, there I go on the past. But also,
- 19:08Speaker 1: like he did with rock and roll, he was quite
- 19:10Speaker 1: cutting edge. He would have a young Richard Pryor on
- 19:13Speaker 1: and all those guys were on site.
- 19:14Speaker 8: Exactly before Carson became the place for comedians to get
- 19:18Speaker 8: make their name, Sullivan was light years ahead.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Yeah. No, it was quite a show. It was done
- 19:24Speaker 1: right over there at what's now unfortunately the Stephen Colbert Theater,
- 19:28Speaker 1: but that was the Ed Sullivan Theater for years.
- 19:31Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 19:31Speaker 1: And when you went on there, forty to fifty million
- 19:33Speaker 1: think about this, forty or fifty million people would be watching.
- 19:36Speaker 8: It was unbelievable. And like the Carson desk, if he
- 19:39Speaker 8: called you over, you know, and shook your hand, that
- 19:42Speaker 8: was you know. The next day you were headlining in Vegas.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Yeah, and it was quite a show. Everybody used to
- 19:48Speaker 1: tell me about doing that. George Carlin had a whole routine.
- 19:52Speaker 1: You went to the deli next door. You got like
- 19:54Speaker 1: a six pack of beer. You took it there because
- 19:56Speaker 1: you'd be there the whole day. You'd do a dress rehearsal,
- 19:58Speaker 1: then you'd do a dress rehears for the audience, then
- 20:01Speaker 1: you take a break, then you come back and do
- 20:03Speaker 1: the show. So you do like three times in one day. Well, Mike,
- 20:07Speaker 1: as always, thanks for calling. Let's go to Steve and Bedsty. Steve,
- 20:11Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 20:13Speaker 7: Happy and healthy? Mark? I had a suggestion days, it'll
- 20:17Speaker 7: be a year since we lost Dibrina Kouwam on the
- 20:22Speaker 7: f line. Are you familiar with these still? Who are
- 20:25Speaker 7: you talking about Dabrina Kuwam, the woman who was burned
- 20:30Speaker 7: alive by the Guatemala and illegal immigrant.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Yeah, she was. It was a woman who and illegal
- 20:37Speaker 1: was here a nut and set her on fire right
- 20:39Speaker 1: on the subway platform there. So it's one year.
- 20:44Speaker 7: Are you familiar with that station?
- 20:46Speaker 1: Which station is it?
- 20:48Speaker 7: It still will Avenue terminal. Do you know the station?
- 20:50Speaker 7: You've been there?
- 20:51Speaker 1: No, it's in Brooklyn, right by Nathan's. I've never been
- 20:57Speaker 1: on the subway outside of Manhattan. I only take it
- 20:59Speaker 1: at Manhattan.
- 21:01Speaker 7: One hundred feet away from where she was killed, right
- 21:06Speaker 7: in the center of the dome. On the overpass is
- 21:10Speaker 7: an open space twelve x thirty six that would make
- 21:13Speaker 7: a perfect place for a stage so that they can
- 21:17Speaker 7: play music under that dome.
- 21:19Speaker 1: It was a terrible, terrible situation. I think you're getting
- 21:22Speaker 1: a little carried away with this. It's a terrible, terrible situation.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Instead of worrying about that, let's worry about doing something
- 21:29Speaker 1: that patrol these subways. We need more protection there, although
- 21:33Speaker 1: it's gotten better. We need Curtis, the Guardian Angels, we
- 21:35Speaker 1: need the police, we need everything there. Wait, I take
- 21:40Speaker 1: that back. I did take the subway once to the
- 21:41Speaker 1: Barclay Center once, but otherwise just Manhattan. Let's go to
- 21:47Speaker 1: lou and Queens Lou.
- 21:48Speaker 9: How you doing, Hey, Mark, I want to comment on Venezuella.
- 21:52Speaker 9: You were absolutely right. I want to bring up something.
- 21:55Speaker 9: They gave no coverage to the great escape of Liam Machado,
- 22:01Speaker 9: who of course was elected first to become the president
- 22:05Speaker 9: of Venezuela. It wasn't to happen. She now had, you know,
- 22:09Speaker 9: was escaping to receive the Nobel Prize winner for being
- 22:13Speaker 9: the opposition leader there. Why didn't she get any coverage?
- 22:16Speaker 9: It's unbelievable.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Well do the math. She's a big Trump supporter. She
- 22:20Speaker 1: shared her Nobel prize with Donald Trump. She likes Trump.
- 22:23Speaker 1: She's the good of Venezuelan leader, the one currently there.
- 22:28Speaker 1: Maduro is the crooked, corrupt. So guess guess who the
- 22:31Speaker 1: fake news is defending. Guess which one they're promoting.
- 22:35Speaker 9: It's sick.
- 22:38Speaker 1: Maduro is supporting Iranian oil, he's supporting the drug cartel.
- 22:43Speaker 1: Guess which one NBC likes, The one who wants to
- 22:47Speaker 1: clean up Venezuela, the woman who likes Trump. Now they're
- 22:51Speaker 1: not supporting her. There behind Maduro, the one with the
- 22:54Speaker 1: drug cartels, the narco terrorist boats, the illegal tankers shipping
- 22:59Speaker 1: Iranian oil to China, Cuba. That's the one their backing.
- 23:03Speaker 1: That's the way they are. So you gotta remember it's
- 23:08Speaker 1: all emotion Democrats. It's very childish. They just get emotional.
- 23:12Speaker 1: Ever they hate, they go crazy.
- 23:14Speaker 9: Uh.
- 23:15Speaker 1: And it's always double standard. Whatever they go after Trump
- 23:18Speaker 1: for doing, you find out Biden did it four thousand times,
- 23:21Speaker 1: Obama did it nine thousand times. It doesn't matter to them. Hey,
- 23:25Speaker 1: you remember when remember they dropped some illegals in Martha's vineyard.
- 23:30Speaker 1: It was DeSantis. Remember he sent a planeloaded. Just dropped
- 23:33Speaker 1: these illegals one morning, all these illegal aliens Martha's vineyard.
- 23:38Speaker 1: What are the Democrats there do? They called the National Guard,
- 23:41Speaker 1: had them deported immediately, no due process at all, just
- 23:44Speaker 1: had them deported. Yes, Adam sent the hell out of there. Hey,
- 23:47Speaker 1: when we come back, Howie Carr will be with us.
- 23:49Speaker 1: We'll talk to him next on seven to ten w.
- 23:52Speaker 6: R hous to New York Mark simoneor how Carr best
- 24:00Speaker 6: tashow hosts in the world.
- 24:02Speaker 1: You can hear him on iHeart. You can go to
- 24:04Speaker 1: his website Howiecarshow dot com. He's also a best selling author.
- 24:08Speaker 1: You'll love his books, the latest one Mass Corruption and
- 24:11Speaker 1: by the way, you want to do your Christmas shopping?
- 24:13Speaker 1: Books are a great gift. Go to Howie Carr Show
- 24:16Speaker 1: dot com, Howie car How you doing very good?
- 24:20Speaker 6: And you can also get it on Amazon dot com
- 24:22Speaker 6: to market. We got it all straightened out with Amazon.
- 24:25Speaker 1: Yeah, what's what's good? What's the deal with Amazon's that's
- 24:28Speaker 1: tough to deal with sometimes.
- 24:31Speaker 6: This was the first time that ever it seemed like
- 24:34Speaker 6: they wanted to actually print the books. So they're they're
- 24:38Speaker 6: printing their their books of their selling.
- 24:41Speaker 1: And I have my own books.
- 24:42Speaker 6: It's the same it's the same book, but it's it's
- 24:46Speaker 6: I almost feel like, you know, uh, I'm getting John d.
- 24:49Speaker 6: Rockefeller here with standard oil. You know, they want they
- 24:54Speaker 6: want vertical integration of the product. But that's okay. I'm
- 24:57Speaker 6: selling a lot of books. I'm doing fine. So it's okay,
- 25:00Speaker 6: it's okay. I'm fine with Amazon.
- 25:02Speaker 1: Yeah, Hey, Jasmine Crockett. You know, all these these democrats,
- 25:08Speaker 1: one is dumber than the other. They act so dumb.
- 25:10Speaker 1: They say these dumb things. Now she's actually highly educated,
- 25:13Speaker 1: but she's acting very dumb. Is that is this what
- 25:15Speaker 1: you got to do now to be a popular democrat?
- 25:17Speaker 1: Act really dopey? I don't know.
- 25:20Speaker 6: I mean, I'm I'm watching all these democrats eating each
- 25:24Speaker 6: other alive, you know. I mean she forced out all Red.
- 25:27Speaker 6: I mean, you know, he was pretty weak, but at
- 25:29Speaker 6: least he had some experience, you know, as a you know,
- 25:33Speaker 6: he was a former Cowboys football player, you know, so
- 25:37Speaker 6: I mean he had some experience in the real world.
- 25:40Speaker 6: I mean, and I was, now this crazy woman is there?
- 25:43Speaker 6: You know, now you got you know Dan Goldman, I mean,
- 25:46Speaker 6: wasn't he terror isn't he terrible enough as a congressman
- 25:49Speaker 6: for New York. But you know, now you got what's
- 25:52Speaker 6: his name, louder is running. The only thing is that
- 25:55Speaker 6: he got arrested trying to you know, interfere with an
- 25:59Speaker 6: ice off. That's his only qualification to run against Goldman.
- 26:04Speaker 6: And you know you got the crazy guy in Maine
- 26:06Speaker 6: who claims he's working class, even though he went to
- 26:08Speaker 6: the Hotchkiss School in Connecticut. He promotes himself as a
- 26:12Speaker 6: working class against that Janet Mills. It's like these Democrats
- 26:15Speaker 6: are starting to you know, really peer each other apart
- 26:18Speaker 6: in these upcoming primaries, isn't it.
- 26:21Speaker 1: Yeah, So it's so crazy to the left. They're all lunatics.
- 26:25Speaker 1: They're on. Is somebody going to come along, like a
- 26:27Speaker 1: Bill Clinton, a moderate rise up before twenty twenty eight
- 26:32Speaker 1: and like lead them back to the middle. Is that
- 26:34Speaker 1: going to happen?
- 26:35Speaker 6: You know, you know in the baseball in the baseball
- 26:37Speaker 6: teams always see if we got anybody coming up in
- 26:39Speaker 6: the farm system. I think, you know, the Democrats, I
- 26:42Speaker 6: don't see any Bill Clinton's in the farm system, do you.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Josh Shapiro maybe.
- 26:49Speaker 6: Maybe, But you know he's got the same problem he
- 26:52Speaker 6: had in twenty twenty four. They don't like him because
- 26:55Speaker 6: he's Jewish. Yeah, I mean, isn't that what it boils
- 26:58Speaker 6: down to?
- 26:59Speaker 1: Yeah, you got the fetterman's pretty normal, but uh, you
- 27:03Speaker 1: have to keep your eyes. I don't know, I.
- 27:08Speaker 6: Mean, it's still it's still I mean, I I agree
- 27:11Speaker 6: with what you said, and I you know, I I
- 27:13Speaker 6: he has a higher approval rating among Pennsylvania Republicans the Democrats.
- 27:18Speaker 6: But you know, there is there are these lingering health issues,
- 27:20Speaker 6: you know, don't don't you have to wonder about him?
- 27:23Speaker 6: I mean even if he you know, even if he
- 27:25Speaker 6: did finally decide to you know, put on a pair
- 27:27Speaker 6: of long pants and a tie and all that kind
- 27:29Speaker 6: of stuff, you know, I mean, you'd still have to
- 27:31Speaker 6: worry about his health.
- 27:32Speaker 1: I don't, I don't know. I don't.
- 27:33Speaker 6: I don't see anybody out there that that that is
- 27:37Speaker 6: that it's normal to run. And you know, you got
- 27:40Speaker 6: this guy Wes Moore and Maryland. He's got all these
- 27:44Speaker 6: you know, he's he's got a lot of resume problems,
- 27:46Speaker 6: you know, danang Dick resume type problems, you know, bronze
- 27:51Speaker 6: stars that weren't issued and uh, you know, working at
- 27:55Speaker 6: Deutsche bank, which he apparently wasn't working at. I don't
- 27:59Speaker 6: underst the end all these people that want to come
- 28:01Speaker 6: I give you another example, that guy Trone in Maryland,
- 28:05Speaker 6: the guy who ran for the Senate, the guy he
- 28:07Speaker 6: started Total Wine. So I mean there's a guy that
- 28:09Speaker 6: I mean, he's an uber successful businessman. So he loses,
- 28:13Speaker 6: he gives up his seat in Congress to unsuccessfully run
- 28:16Speaker 6: for the Senate, loses, and then now he wants to
- 28:19Speaker 6: come back and run for Congress against the rich woman
- 28:23Speaker 6: who took his places in his old congressional district.
- 28:27Speaker 8: You know.
- 28:27Speaker 6: So it's going to be great for TV ads and
- 28:29Speaker 6: you know in the DC, Maryland, Baltimore area. But I mean,
- 28:35Speaker 6: why does a guy that's worth all that money like
- 28:37Speaker 6: Drone want to come back to be one of four
- 28:40Speaker 6: hundred and thirty five congressman.
- 28:41Speaker 1: I don't get it, do you no? What is it? Well?
- 28:44Speaker 1: You know they always said to politics is show business
- 28:46Speaker 1: for ugly people. Everybody wants to do something. You know,
- 28:52Speaker 1: if you're not so hot, you going to Congress. If
- 28:54Speaker 1: you've got a personality, you pay to do a fake podcast.
- 28:57Speaker 1: Everybody wants to be a star. Nobody wants to just
- 29:00Speaker 1: be in real life, private life anymore.
- 29:03Speaker 6: I mean, if I own total wine mark, that would
- 29:06Speaker 6: be enough for.
- 29:08Speaker 1: Uh, hey you're in Are you in Palm Beach? Now? Yes,
- 29:11Speaker 1: I am. What happens there at Christmas time it's a
- 29:14Speaker 1: whole different place Christmas time, right, Well, there aren't any
- 29:17Speaker 1: riots in the street, unlike Dan Tucker. You saw that
- 29:19Speaker 1: on the front page and you're uposed today.
- 29:21Speaker 6: Yeah, there will be. There will be no violence anywhere. No,
- 29:25Speaker 6: it's it's it's it's kind of interesting. And I've known
- 29:28Speaker 6: this going back to you know, the nineties when I
- 29:31Speaker 6: was covering the one of the Kennedy rape trials in
- 29:34Speaker 6: West Palm.
- 29:35Speaker 1: We were staying in Palm Beach.
- 29:36Speaker 6: But you know, like all the lights in Palm Beach,
- 29:40Speaker 6: the Christmas lights, you're all white, you know, And you know,
- 29:45Speaker 6: I don't know, I like color color lights, you know,
- 29:49Speaker 6: and I like flashing color lights.
- 29:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 29:52Speaker 6: So you know we used to we on nights when
- 29:54Speaker 6: there's nothing mu's going on the trial, all of us
- 29:56Speaker 6: reporters would drive over to West Palm and just see
- 29:59Speaker 6: all the ashing lights.
- 30:00Speaker 1: I still do it.
- 30:01Speaker 6: I you know, I have my my studio now is
- 30:03Speaker 6: in uh is it West Palm? At the iHeart complex
- 30:07Speaker 6: and I so like going going and seeing all the
- 30:10Speaker 6: colorful lights West Palm It's going way upscale fast, especially
- 30:15Speaker 6: with Mamdani coming in as mayor. But it's still it's
- 30:18Speaker 6: still like America, you know, as opposed to pom which
- 30:22Speaker 6: you know, I think I think probably colored colored Christmas
- 30:27Speaker 6: lights probably violate some kind of zoning uh ordnance in
- 30:30Speaker 6: the town up Palm Beach.
- 30:33Speaker 1: Hey, you know, the big big real estate guys are
- 30:35Speaker 1: building like crazy West Palm Beach. They're putting a million skyscrapers,
- 30:38Speaker 1: a million offices. They're gonna you know, they're not thinking ahead.
- 30:42Speaker 1: I've seen this happen in other cities. They do that,
- 30:44Speaker 1: and they forget to make the airport double the size,
- 30:47Speaker 1: They forget to put in more roads, right, and then
- 30:49Speaker 1: it's going to become a nightmare in West Palm Beach.
- 30:53Speaker 6: Mark Man, you're still you're still promoting this New York Jovinism,
- 30:57Speaker 6: like the like there's still some future in New York.
- 30:59Speaker 6: I mean, the Palm Beach Airport compared to Laguardie or JFK,
- 31:05Speaker 6: I mean it's fantastic. I mean yeah, because it's so
- 31:09Speaker 6: easy to get to. I'm like seven minutes. I'm on
- 31:12Speaker 6: the island. I'm seven minutes away from the airport. You
- 31:15Speaker 6: know how much it cost to park today in pomp
- 31:17Speaker 6: at the Pombeach International fourteen bucks.
- 31:20Speaker 1: Yeah, it's the greatest airport in America because it's small,
- 31:23Speaker 1: there's not much traffic. It's easy, there's not too many people.
- 31:26Speaker 1: I'm just saying, when they build all these buildings and
- 31:28Speaker 1: you've got millions trying to go in and out of
- 31:30Speaker 1: that airport, it's going to be a nightmare. It's it's
- 31:33Speaker 1: not going to be the same.
- 31:35Speaker 6: So in other words, it will be like New York City.
- 31:38Speaker 6: You were through Trump when he was first running, he
- 31:40Speaker 6: used to talk about going to the airport the Philip Wharton.
- 31:42Speaker 1: He said, it's like.
- 31:44Speaker 6: Going in It's like being in Bay Roads, dragging it
- 31:47Speaker 6: into the city from the airport.
- 31:50Speaker 1: You know what, It's no better now, is it. It's
- 31:53Speaker 1: a little better. But they're opening a casino right next
- 31:55Speaker 1: to it. So good luck, so away. If you want
