- 0:08Speaker 1: Hey, this is Sal Sparks from the Magnum Opus, Dude,
- 0:11Speaker 1: Where's My Car? And you're listening to Movie Meltdown.
- 0:16Speaker 2: It's showtime.
- 0:18Speaker 3: This episode is rated M for Misty. Yes, that's right,
- 0:21Speaker 3: this is a Misty episode, so it will be laced
- 0:23Speaker 3: with profanity even more than usual. If you're not comfortable
- 0:26Speaker 3: with this level of profanity, perhaps this isn't the episode
- 0:29Speaker 3: for you. But we have many other episodes to choose
- 0:32Speaker 3: from that do not feature Misty and will probably be
- 0:34Speaker 3: far less offensive.
- 0:36Speaker 4: Okay, maybe.
- 0:36Speaker 5: Maybe.
- 0:37Speaker 3: That having been said on with the show our.
- 0:40Speaker 6: Nuclear reactor pumping out 1 million kilowatts.
- 0:44Speaker 5: Of power.
- 1:14Speaker 2: May the wind always be at your back and the
- 1:16Speaker 2: sun upon your face.
- 1:18Speaker 1: And may the winds of destiny carry you aloft to
- 1:20Speaker 1: dance with the stars.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Cheers, Georgie.
- 1:33Speaker 1: What's up and welcome to Movie Meltdown. I'm Brian.
- 1:35Speaker 5: I'm Misty.
- 1:36Speaker 2: I'm Ken.
- 1:37Speaker 6: I'm Christian.
- 1:38Speaker 1: And we are coming to you live via digital recording
- 1:40Speaker 1: from Fandom Fest here in somewhat partly cloudy Louisville.
- 1:44Speaker 2: I just saw a biplane go by.
- 1:47Speaker 5: I saw it too.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Cool.
- 1:49Speaker 5: I will vouch for your plane sighting.
- 1:50Speaker 2: It's the Red Baron.
- 1:51Speaker 5: There's Snoopy on it. Dude, I am hungry. I ain't
- 1:56Speaker 5: even gonna lie.
- 1:58Speaker 1: We are sitting right up here at the window out
- 1:59Speaker 1: by the street and looking up at the buildings here.
- 2:02Speaker 1: And we're also sitting at a haunted table.
- 2:05Speaker 5: Table's jacked. Woo, it's haunted.
- 2:09Speaker 1: The home table's levitating like we're at some sort of
- 2:12Speaker 1: seance or something.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Seriously, there's like one screw holding this thing up and
- 2:16Speaker 2: it's bent. I don't get it. How can you serve
- 2:21Speaker 2: people and know that this is happening?
- 2:22Speaker 1: I don't even know how it's doing.
- 2:26Speaker 2: That's it.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Game of skill and chance. Alright, so we're doing our
- 2:31Speaker 1: rundown of Fandom Fest and our other geek activities. So
- 2:34Speaker 1: do you want to start with the event here? How
- 2:36Speaker 1: has your weekend been, Misty?
- 2:39Speaker 5: I'm tired. I got to see Carl Urban's belly button.
- 2:43Speaker 5: That's probably the highlight of the entire weekend.
- 2:45Speaker 1: And your leg?
- 2:47Speaker 5: I don't know. It was kind of furry. And you
- 2:48Speaker 5: know how I feel about body hair. It kind of
- 2:51Speaker 5: creeps me out.
- 2:52Speaker 1: You want to shave him down?
- 2:54Speaker 5: Maybe wax. That would be a little bit more fun,
- 2:56Speaker 5: I think.
- 2:56Speaker 1: For you?
- 2:57Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 2:59Speaker 5: Pull that shit off there. Good times.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Damn it, Misty.
- 3:04Speaker 5: Fucking A. Too hot to handle.
- 3:09Speaker 1: If no one's following you on Facebook, I guess you
- 3:11Speaker 1: should clue them in as to your photo op.
- 3:14Speaker 5: I got Carl Urban's autograph, which I was super excited about,
- 3:18Speaker 5: so I wanted him to say, Damn it, Misty! And
- 3:21Speaker 5: he seemed confused by how to spell damn it.
- 3:26Speaker 1: He's very special, that Carl Urban.
- 3:28Speaker 5: He paused after the M. I couldn't tell if he
- 3:31Speaker 5: was trying to debate on what was damn it, like
- 3:33Speaker 5: two words, or like damn it, one word, D-A-M-M-I-T. It
- 3:37Speaker 5: seemed like a whim, which more thought into it. He
- 3:39Speaker 5: just had to stop, and there was a good 10-second
- 3:40Speaker 5: pause of, holy shit, what do I do now?
- 3:44Speaker 1: You're in headlines.
- 3:46Speaker 5: He totally stopped. And then I guess he finally solved
- 3:50Speaker 5: the problem in his head and he finished writing it.
- 3:52Speaker 5: And I was like, yeah, that's all I got. And
- 3:56Speaker 5: then he's like, I thought, I want to write some more.
- 3:59Speaker 5: And he wrote, too hot to handle on it. Okay.
- 4:03Speaker 5: I'm not going to argue. But two, the first two
- 4:09Speaker 5: should have been two O's. And it was 1-0. And
- 4:13Speaker 5: I was like, damn it, Carl. And then.
- 4:16Speaker 1: I've been doing that all weekend.
- 4:18Speaker 7: Damn it, Carl.
- 4:20Speaker 5: Carl. I finally got caught up on The Walking Dead
- 4:22Speaker 5: because I am like way on the cutting edge of
- 4:24Speaker 5: all entertainment because that was like months ago. And I
- 4:27Speaker 5: just finally got caught up.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Almost time for the new season.
- 4:30Speaker 5: I know.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Perfect timing.
- 4:31Speaker 5: I know, right? So it's like, Carl.
- 4:33Speaker 1: It's like, Carl.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Carl.
- 4:36Speaker 5: You gotta sound more grizzled. Carl! You gotta sound more immeasurable.
- 4:41Speaker 5: That isn't words. You gotta sound like somebody's jabbing a
- 4:44Speaker 5: stick into your side. Carl!
- 4:48Speaker 1: He's got a rough time. What's his face?
- 4:53Speaker 2: Rick.
- 4:53Speaker 1: There you go. Rick's having a rough life. Cut him
- 4:56Speaker 1: some slack, man.
- 4:57Speaker 5: Can't cut him too much slack. His wife would have
- 4:58Speaker 5: a fantastic ass.
- 4:59Speaker 1: In the real world. On the show, I didn't notice
- 5:01Speaker 1: so much, but when we were here for another event recently.
- 5:05Speaker 1: We noticed... Anyway, go ahead.
- 5:07Speaker 5: That ass is like... It's good. I'm not even gonna lie.
- 5:11Speaker 5: I took a picture. I took pictures of it. I
- 5:12Speaker 5: posted it online. I ain't... I did. I need to
- 5:15Speaker 5: look that up.
- 5:16Speaker 1: I do her by name again so she gets full
- 5:18Speaker 1: credit for that ass.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Lori?
- 5:20Speaker 5: What's her real name? Does it matter? Lori? That's all
- 5:24Speaker 5: I know. Hold on. Sarah Wayne Cayley's. Pulled that out
- 5:28Speaker 5: of my ass. Didn't see that coming, did you?
- 5:30Speaker 2: You....
- 5:33Speaker 1: I'm trying to make an ass tie in here, but
- 5:35Speaker 1: I don't think I want to, really.
- 5:37Speaker 5: It's for the best that you don't. But, yes, I
- 5:39Speaker 5: got to see Carl Urban's belly button because he yawned,
- 5:41Speaker 5: and I wanted to poke it, but I was too
- 5:43Speaker 5: far away, and I kind of wondered if he would
- 5:44Speaker 5: make the sound of the Pillsbury Doughboy. But then I'm like,
- 5:48Speaker 5: he's from New Zealand. Do they have a Pillsbury Doughboy
- 5:50Speaker 5: in New Zealand?
- 5:51Speaker 1: I would think. They're pretty widespread. Somebody, if not, start
- 5:54Speaker 1: shipping that stuff over there. That stuff's good.
- 5:56Speaker 5: I mean, I would assume they would have some equivalent
- 5:58Speaker 5: of it, you know. I don't know what they have
- 6:01Speaker 5: in New Zealand.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Koala dough boy.
- 6:03Speaker 5: That would be awesome.
- 6:06Speaker 2: G'day. G'day. Make some biscuits.
- 6:09Speaker 6: Since Carl Urban's from New Zealand, I bet if you
- 6:12Speaker 6: just went up to him and koala'd him, climbed on
- 6:15Speaker 6: him like a koala, he'd probably feel at home.
- 6:17Speaker 5: He felt kind of petite. I might crush him if
- 6:19Speaker 5: I did that.
- 6:20Speaker 6: Maybe he could koala you.
- 6:21Speaker 5: That would be awesome. I would be down with that.
- 6:23Speaker 5: I would be totally okay with that happening. Anytime. Ever.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Koala for the weekend.
- 6:31Speaker 5: I would adopt Carl Urban is my koala.
- 6:35Speaker 1: Because that is an option.
- 6:36Speaker 5: Can we start a service for that? Because I would
- 6:39Speaker 5: pay good money.
- 6:39Speaker 6: Talk to LeVar Burton and get a Kickstarter fund going
- 6:42Speaker 6: for that.
- 6:42Speaker 5: That would be amazing.
- 6:43Speaker 6: Because he's really good at raising money.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Where's our Kickstarter, LeVar? I don't know. Get that barrette
- 6:48Speaker 1: off your eyes and start working for us here, damn it.
- 6:51Speaker 6: Yeah, I tried to talk to him a little bit,
- 6:54Speaker 6: but he was just all about the fist bumping for Ebola.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Lord, I guess we better go into that because we've
- 7:01Speaker 1: turned it into a different thing. I mean, I think
- 7:03Speaker 1: it's like a new charity I'm starting, fist bumping for Ebola.
- 7:06Speaker 1: And like, we really need to get this Ebola thing going.
- 7:10Speaker 1: I mean, it's taken too long. We got to get
- 7:11Speaker 1: our funding behind it so we can really start wiping
- 7:14Speaker 1: out huge parts of humanity.
- 7:15Speaker 5: I think a lot of people I could probably get
- 7:17Speaker 5: rid of and be okay with. That guy from Creed, Nickelback.
- 7:21Speaker 5: The entire band.
- 7:21Speaker 1: How come they're still around? We lose good musicians, but
- 7:24Speaker 1: we've got those guys still hanging in there.
- 7:26Speaker 5: How the fuck did the guy from Nickelback afford to
- 7:28Speaker 5: buy fucking Avril Lavigne? Fucking jack up to Avril Lavigne.
- 7:33Speaker 5: Avril Lavigne. That's her new name.
- 7:36Speaker 1: That's where I shop for clothes. Avril Lavigne.
- 7:38Speaker 5: Order a 17-carat diamond ring. Was it 17 or 7?
- 7:40Speaker 1: 17.
- 7:40Speaker 2: 17?
- 7:40Speaker 5: It was this big. Where did he get that?
- 7:49Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Why are you questioning that? Do you not know the
- 7:52Speaker 1: amount of sales that that band has? Americans and the
- 7:55Speaker 1: world over are dumb when it comes to music because
- 7:58Speaker 1: they have made billions of dollars, I'm sure, for somebody.
- 8:01Speaker 6: Everybody hates them, though.
- 8:02Speaker 1: I mean, I don't... Okay, never mind. They do, but
- 8:04Speaker 1: then look at the sales for it. I mean, isn't
- 8:06Speaker 1: that usually how that stuff works? Like, everybody hates the
- 8:09Speaker 1: most popular thing, so there's a big loophole there. I
- 8:11Speaker 1: never understand how that works.
- 8:13Speaker 2: Wait, so the guy from Nickel Creek is marrying... Nickelback. Sorry, Nickelback.
- 8:19Speaker 2: is marrying Advil Levine.
- 8:21Speaker 5: This is their one-year anniversary.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Advil Levine?
- 8:25Speaker 5: Advil Levine. They've been married for a year. That was
- 8:28Speaker 5: her one-year anniversary present.
- 8:29Speaker 6: Chad Kroger.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Ah, Kroger.
- 8:34Speaker 2: I'm sorry. I was going to make a Kroger reference.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Making fun of Chad is just too easy, really.
- 8:40Speaker 6: He's a Chad.
- 8:41Speaker 2: Hanging Chad. I really had no idea that that was
- 8:45Speaker 2: a thing. Yeah, it does seem like a super suck.
- 8:48Speaker 1: An odd match.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:50Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 8:51Speaker 2: I'll form the head, you know? It's like, Canada's worst nightmare.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Now our worst nightmare, in my opinion.
- 9:00Speaker 1: That was Dave Coulier.
- 9:01Speaker 6: I thought Justin Bieber was.
- 9:03Speaker 2: Well, you could add him as an arm or a
- 9:04Speaker 2: leg or an ass.
- 9:06Speaker 1: He's an ass already. He's an ass.
- 9:09Speaker 2: And then, you know, you get like, you know, Bryan
- 9:11Speaker 2: Adams and.
- 9:13Speaker 5: Alanis Morissette.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Art Alanis is okay. Ryan Adams, I musically had no
- 9:20Speaker 1: problem with him back in the day, and then every
- 9:22Speaker 1: interview I've seen or read of him, he seems like
- 9:25Speaker 1: such a douchebag.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Yeah, pretentious, yeah.
- 9:28Speaker 5: I'm pretentious.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, we know.
- 9:31Speaker 5: It's okay. I don't even care. Damn it, Missy. I know, right?
- 9:34Speaker 5: Damn it, Carl.
- 9:37Speaker 8: Carl?
- 9:37Speaker 5: We're at the convention, so it's like Carl from Walking
- 9:41Speaker 5: Dead is at the other end of the room, so
- 9:42Speaker 5: I'm like, if I stand in the middle and yell,
- 9:44Speaker 5: damn it, Carl, really loud, which one will look first?
- 9:48Speaker 2: That's a good game.
- 9:49Speaker 1: I would say the kid probably ignores everyone saying it
- 9:52Speaker 1: now because he gets it so much.
- 9:54Speaker 5: I don't know. If I yell it at a loud
- 9:55Speaker 5: enough volume, I might catch him off guard. We're used
- 9:57Speaker 5: to the low, mumbling, damn it, Carl. If I get
- 10:01Speaker 5: like a high decibel, maybe like a high-pitched squeal, damn it, Carl.
- 10:04Speaker 1: I'm not even going to do it in here.
- 10:05Speaker 5: I would probably break something. But like a damn it, Carl,
- 10:08Speaker 5: like really loud and just, yeah.
- 10:11Speaker 1: He's Chandler, right?
- 10:12Speaker 5: Yes, Chandler Riggs.
- 10:13Speaker 1: Does he get damn it, Chandlers? That doesn't really work
- 10:17Speaker 1: the same, does it?
- 10:17Speaker 5: I think Chandler is the guy from Friends.
- 10:20Speaker 6: I wonder if he's named after the guy from Friends.
- 10:22Speaker 1: I just not thought about that.
- 10:23Speaker 6: He's young enough.
- 10:24Speaker 2: He is.
- 10:24Speaker 6: I bet his mother was really mean to him and
- 10:28Speaker 6: named him after Chandler Bing.
- 10:28Speaker 1: He was almost Chandler Bong. Oh, my God. Chandler Bing.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Chandler Bong. Exactly.
- 10:38Speaker 1: So, what else have we done today?
- 10:40Speaker 5: I got my picture taken with several fake Lokis. That
- 10:42Speaker 5: was pretty exciting.
- 10:44Speaker 1: That is one of your favorite pastimes.
- 10:46Speaker 4: It is.
- 10:46Speaker 5: I love getting my picture taken with fake Lokis. Even
- 10:49Speaker 5: cardboard ones, I don't even care.
- 10:51Speaker 1: It's true. I have seen those shots. Yeah.
- 10:54Speaker 5: Whatever Loki I can get, I'm all up on it.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Now that I think about it, I've taken some of
- 10:57Speaker 1: those shots.
- 10:57Speaker 5: Hell yeah. Shit. I love me some Loki. One-dimensional, two-dimensional,
- 11:03Speaker 5: I don't even care. Four-dimensional.
- 11:05Speaker 4: Four-dimensional.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Is he ever going to get his own Loki spinoff movie?
- 11:09Speaker 5: I hope so. I've heard rumor at some point that
- 11:12Speaker 5: there was supposed to be one, and I would watch
- 11:14Speaker 5: the hell out of that movie. I'm not even going
- 11:15Speaker 5: to lie.
- 11:16Speaker 1: The Marvel Universe is out of control. They could probably
- 11:19Speaker 1: support it at this point.
- 11:20Speaker 5: Hell yeah. I mean, especially for Loki. The fangirls go
- 11:23Speaker 5: nuts over that shit.
- 11:24Speaker 4: They do.
- 11:24Speaker 1: I don't know where it came from.
- 11:25Speaker 6: Who do you think has a better belly button, Carl
- 11:27Speaker 6: Urban or Loki?
- 11:30Speaker 2: Loki.
- 11:31Speaker 5: Tom Hiddleston.
- 11:32Speaker 1: I was going to say, the character Loki or Tom Hiddleston.
- 11:35Speaker 5: No, I don't know. I don't think Tom Hiddleston is
- 11:38Speaker 5: quite as furry.
- 11:39Speaker 6: I was going to say, he's probably not as furry.
- 11:41Speaker 1: He seems very British and proper.
- 11:43Speaker 2: It's an emo belly button. It's got like a frown.
- 11:46Speaker 5: If I put Michael Fassbender in there, I could go
- 11:48Speaker 5: for that one, too.
- 11:49Speaker 1: He's a little furry.
- 11:50Speaker 5: Not quite as much.
- 11:53Speaker 6: I don't think he's very furry.
- 11:54Speaker 1: You guys are going to have to check. I'll leave
- 11:56Speaker 1: that up to you.
- 11:56Speaker 5: I will be the first volunteer to volunteer for that,
- 11:58Speaker 5: or I'll volunteer.
- 12:00Speaker 1: I'm sticking with the... hoochie shorts that was just walking by.
- 12:03Speaker 1: I've still got to go see if she can get
- 12:04Speaker 1: them any higher.
- 12:05Speaker 5: They were hoochie mom jeans because they were like I
- 12:08Speaker 5: didn't even see the bottom of the pants. Were they
- 12:10Speaker 5: like under her shirt? Like under her boobs? I don't know.
- 12:12Speaker 5: Where did the pants end?
- 12:13Speaker 1: That's the hot way to do it. I don't even know.
- 12:18Speaker 5: Yeah, there were several Lokis which I was super duper
- 12:19Speaker 5: excited about. Yeah. I bought a Groot.
- 12:26Speaker 1: You were very excited about your Groot.
- 12:28Speaker 5: I love Groot.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Hello.
- 12:30Speaker 5: It's so cute. Oh, my God.
- 12:32Speaker 1: Without spoiling, I guess you can go into your, go
- 12:36Speaker 1: a very minor version of your Guardians of the Galaxy.
- 12:40Speaker 5: And this is how it ended.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Son of a bitch. What did I just say?
- 12:47Speaker 5: The soundtrack was fucking awesome, right? Yes. Groot, the best
- 12:52Speaker 5: acting that Vin Diesel has done. since the iron robot
- 12:57Speaker 5: or iron giant I fucked that.
- 12:59Speaker 1: One up my bad since the last time I didn't
- 13:02Speaker 1: have to look at.
- 13:02Speaker 5: It exactly absolutely hell yeah rocket you can't go wrong
- 13:09Speaker 5: with a foul talking raccoon you just.
- 13:11Speaker 1: Can't isn't there one that hangs out behind your house
- 13:14Speaker 1: I wish, dude.
- 13:15Speaker 5: He wouldn't even have to hang out in the back.
- 13:16Speaker 5: I'd let him in.
- 13:17Speaker 1: I mean, it wouldn't be the first time you let
- 13:20Speaker 1: a woodland creature live in your house.
- 13:21Speaker 5: It would not be the first time or the last, hopefully.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Dude.
- 13:26Speaker 5: I want to just snatch baby raccoons whenever I see
- 13:28Speaker 5: them out in the wilderness. I'm like, I could get
- 13:30Speaker 5: that before its mom would come back.
- 13:32Speaker 1: You be careful. You bring them in your house. They
- 13:34Speaker 1: got thumbs. They're going to take over.
- 13:37Speaker 5: They can open shit for me then. I don't even care.
- 13:40Speaker 5: And be like, you get dogs, we'll go get you
- 13:41Speaker 5: a can of fucking soda. Fucking raccoons are going to
- 13:43Speaker 5: open it for me.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Raccoon butler?
- 13:50Speaker 5: That's the best card. That would be awesome.
- 13:57Speaker 1: I just want my dogs to do more housework. Like, look,
- 14:00Speaker 1: you've been laying here all day. Do some dishes for
- 14:02Speaker 1: God's sakes.
- 14:03Speaker 5: Because your savage beast was no manners.
- 14:06Speaker 1: There's a claw mark right there from this morning.
- 14:08Speaker 5: Exactly. Vicious little fuckers that have no moral standing.
- 14:13Speaker 1: They have to protect the compound, damn it.
- 14:16Speaker 5: Or not.
- 14:17Speaker 1: That's why I have these wild animals, to protect the
- 14:20Speaker 1: meltdown compound.
- 14:21Speaker 5: And to attack possums?
- 14:24Speaker 1: Oh, Lord, they tear up on some possums. And that
- 14:26Speaker 1: wombat they were fighting that I pulled them off of.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Pretty sure that's what it was.
- 14:30Speaker 5: It's a groundhog.
- 14:32Speaker 1: It was as big as they were. No, it was
- 14:36Speaker 1: bigger than Carl.
- 14:36Speaker 5: Probably weighed more. I'm telling you, I could have picked
- 14:40Speaker 5: him up and carried him around.
- 14:41Speaker 6: Just barely.
- 14:41Speaker 5: I could have piggybacked him all through the entire place.
- 14:44Speaker 1: Why didn't you?
- 14:45Speaker 5: I should have.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Koala. Some sort of Twilight reboot.
- 14:49Speaker 5: I want to give him a piggyback ride. That's my
- 14:50Speaker 5: new thing. Koala's like five minutes ago. Keep up.
- 14:57Speaker 6: Let me show you how we do this here. Hop on.
- 15:00Speaker 6: I'll give you a ride.
- 15:01Speaker 1: I mean, it would be an insult to the entire
- 15:04Speaker 1: city if you didn't do this, so climb on.
- 15:06Speaker 5: This is a serious piggyback ride. You know what he
- 15:09Speaker 5: said in The Walking Dead? Come on. When Daryl gave
- 15:14Speaker 5: Beth a piggyback ride. Oh, this is a serious piggyback ride.
- 15:16Speaker 5: Come on.
- 15:17Speaker 1: I'd give Beth a piggyback ride.
- 15:19Speaker 5: I kept waiting for them to do it. They never did.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Again, spoilers if you didn't finish it like Misty did
- 15:25Speaker 1: like two weeks ago. Yeah, every episode I'd be like,
- 15:28Speaker 1: all right. So, I mean, this chick locked up by
- 15:31Speaker 1: herself with what most of the country considers to be
- 15:34Speaker 1: the hottest dude ever, if you're into weird redneck dudes.
- 15:37Speaker 1: But anyway. I know, but still, like, look at the fangirls.
- 15:40Speaker 1: It's crazy. So I'm like, every.
- 15:43Speaker 5: I just want to cut his hair. Trim that shit
- 15:45Speaker 5: up a little bit.
- 15:45Speaker 1: I'm just saying, every week, for like three or four
- 15:48Speaker 1: weeks straight, they'd get into some weird situation. I'm like, okay,
- 15:51Speaker 1: they're by themselves. It's the two of them. She's going
- 15:54Speaker 1: to have to hit that now, right?
- 15:55Speaker 5: I kept waiting for it. It never happens.
- 15:57Speaker 1: Every week, I'm just like, what are you doing? Why
- 16:00Speaker 1: are you just teasing us? Just get it over with.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Do it already.
- 16:03Speaker 5: Then they started drinking. I'm like, oh, they're drinking. It's
- 16:05Speaker 5: going to happen now.
- 16:06Speaker 1: That's what I thought. I thought that episode was definite.
- 16:08Speaker 1: They're definitely going to have to round this thing out.
- 16:10Speaker 5: I'm like, how old is she? After a while, I
- 16:12Speaker 5: felt kind of bad.
- 16:14Speaker 1: How old is she?
- 16:15Speaker 5: She plays the character really, really young. I'm like, should
- 16:17Speaker 5: I feel bad about waiting for them to do it?
- 16:20Speaker 1: I don't. I guess everybody knew that.
- 16:22Speaker 5: I'm like, is she, like, 12? Ain't nothing wrong with.
- 16:25Speaker 4: Oh, wait.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Yeah, there is. Damn it.
- 16:27Speaker 2: I know.
- 16:27Speaker 5: States and their laws.
- 16:29Speaker 1: Stupid laws.
- 16:30Speaker 6: Yeah, but post-apocalyptic, like.
- 16:32Speaker 2: There ain't.
- 16:32Speaker 1: No laws there.
- 16:33Speaker 6: There ain't no laws. Ain't no laws.
- 16:35Speaker 1: But in the real world, she's at least 25. Like,
- 16:38Speaker 1: she's an old lady in the real world, so it's
- 16:39Speaker 1: all cool.
- 16:40Speaker 5: I guess. Are they trying to, like, build it up
- 16:42Speaker 5: so that Daryl has some kind of, like, morals about
- 16:45Speaker 5: younger girls or something? Because I figure he'd be all...
- 16:48Speaker 5: I mean, seriously, his brother would have done that shit
- 16:50Speaker 5: a long time ago, whether she agreed to it or not.
- 16:52Speaker 5: I mean, Merle is not.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Merle's not the highest caliber of character.
- 16:58Speaker 5: Apparently he's not the gentleman that Daryl is with his
- 17:01Speaker 5: ear necklace and squirrel eating.
- 17:04Speaker 1: He's a classy guy.
- 17:07Speaker 8: He is.
- 17:07Speaker 5: I see why the world's just falling for him.
- 17:11Speaker 1: He's dreamy, isn't he?
- 17:13Speaker 5: I guess so.
- 17:14Speaker 6: I wonder what his belly button's like.
- 17:16Speaker 9: Dirty.
- 17:17Speaker 8: Dirty.
- 17:17Speaker 5: Chances are I can look it up on the internet
- 17:18Speaker 5: and find out. I don't know if I can look
- 17:21Speaker 5: up Norman Reedus belly button and what it will bring me.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Live on the show.
- 17:27Speaker 2: Here we go.
- 17:27Speaker 6: I'm a little scared, but also intrigued.
- 17:30Speaker 1: It's not the creepiest thing I've looked up.
- 17:32Speaker 5: Not the creepiest thing I've heard this weekend. Yesterday I
- 17:35Speaker 5: heard the comment of some girl looking at her phone
- 17:38Speaker 5: trying to motion to somebody else. Now, I'm not saying
- 17:41Speaker 5: I want to put my mouth on it or anything.
- 17:42Speaker 1: I like where this is going. I just kind of
- 17:47Speaker 1: want to hear the end. I mean, because I could
- 17:49Speaker 1: go several ways with what she was describing.
- 17:51Speaker 5: I want to know what she was on the phone.
- 17:54Speaker 5: What she exactly does not want to put her mouth on.
- 17:57Speaker 1: Let's make a list, shall we?
- 17:58Speaker 5: Hold on. B-U-T-T-O-N.
- 18:04Speaker 6: Yeah, put that O-N on there.
- 18:10Speaker 5: That's not normal. That's a kid. What the fuck's going
- 18:12Speaker 5: on here? Ugh, why is.
- 18:14Speaker 2: Ugh!
- 18:15Speaker 5: Loss, loss, loss.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Close it.
- 18:17Speaker 5: I don't like that the seventh thing that shows up
- 18:19Speaker 5: is very pregnant and seemingly naked Mariah Carey.
- 18:22Speaker 1: I'm okay with the first two. Then you got to
- 18:24Speaker 1: Mariah Carey.
- 18:25Speaker 5: Oh, my.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Not naked pregnant chicks. That's awesome.
- 18:30Speaker 6: What the hell is that?
- 18:31Speaker 5: Not Norman Reedus' belly button. No, it ain't.
- 18:36Speaker 1: I like that we have a new game. We should
- 18:37Speaker 1: play this every episode. Google something random.
- 18:40Speaker 5: Some people skiing? I don't understand. And this is the
- 18:45Speaker 5: new game of, okay, what do we have to type
- 18:47Speaker 5: in to find Norman Reedus' belly button? Are you playing
- 18:49Speaker 5: that game, too?
- 18:50Speaker 4: No.
- 18:51Speaker 5: John Stamos came up, apparently. John Stamos' belly button is
- 18:54Speaker 5: the fifth thing that came up.
- 18:56Speaker 1: He's a very studly John Stamos.
- 18:57Speaker 2: He is.
- 18:58Speaker 5: That's, like, young.
- 18:59Speaker 1: It's that yogurt, I suppose.
- 19:01Speaker 5: Uh-huh. Let's see.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Shirtless.
- 19:02Speaker 5: That might give us something.
- 19:04Speaker 1: I bet that'll give you something. Oh, thank you, internet.
- 19:09Speaker 5: Oh, let's see. We got various... Short hair or long
- 19:12Speaker 5: hair Norman Reedus?
- 19:13Speaker 6: Let's go with long hair.
- 19:14Speaker 2: Okay.
- 19:15Speaker 5: He's got a gun. With or without a gun.
- 19:16Speaker 1: There you go. Norman Reedus' belly button.
- 19:19Speaker 5: Not very hairy, but a little bit lumpy. I'm not
- 19:21Speaker 5: really sure I approve of this one.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Your faces probably aren't transferring over to the podcast, so
- 19:29Speaker 1: feel free to verbalize.
- 19:32Speaker 6: Yeah, he's just lumpy. I don't quite understand all those lumps.
- 19:37Speaker 6: It's not even like.
- 19:38Speaker 5: He's younger, I'm assuming. That's not any better.
- 19:39Speaker 6: I don't know if that's younger or not. He looks
- 19:42Speaker 6: a little... He looks like he has a little bit
- 19:45Speaker 6: more weight on him in that one.
- 19:46Speaker 1: It gives me hope, I suppose.
- 19:47Speaker 6: He doesn't look as lumpy.
- 19:49Speaker 5: Here's a reclining... Oh, the belly button's covered. Sorry.
- 19:52Speaker 1: Even lumpy dudes can become sex symbols.
- 19:54Speaker 2: Sleepy sexy.
- 19:56Speaker 5: Hell yeah.
- 19:56Speaker 2: I'm so sexy and so sleepy.
- 20:00Speaker 5: Oh, this one's cute. Hold on. Oh, he's... He's got
- 20:05Speaker 5: a tiara. Isn't that the most precious thing ever?
- 20:07Speaker 6: That is fresh, and he's not lumpy, and he's young.
- 20:11Speaker 8: What happened, Daryl Dixon?
- 20:14Speaker 6: That's nice.
- 20:14Speaker 5: Apocalypse hurts, man.
- 20:16Speaker 2: Apocalypse hurts.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Not only eating, obviously. Hadn't put a dent in that.
- 20:25Speaker 1: He is wearing a tear in this photo. And it's
- 20:27Speaker 1: artsy black and white, so that's nice.
- 20:30Speaker 5: Oh, good lord. This is what the rest of the
- 20:33Speaker 5: podcast is going to be, you know that, right?
- 20:34Speaker 1: Misty looking at shit on the internet.
- 20:43Speaker 10: Oh, this constant refresh where they say it's the death
- 20:48Speaker 10: of us, baby. But I like what you do and
- 20:54Speaker 10: the way that you change on the daily.
- 21:00Speaker 1: When I walk down the street, only strangers I meet.
- 21:04Speaker 10: But I can shake loneliness in just a tweet. Internet,
- 21:11Speaker 10: I don't want to lose you.
- 21:17Speaker 5: Oh, Internet.
- 21:19Speaker 11: If you were a Pokemon, I'd choose you.
- 21:23Speaker 3: Oh, Internet.
- 21:34Speaker 10: I sing to you pretty much constantly.
- 21:45Speaker 3: Convention girls know how to take care of a man
- 21:48Speaker 3: in the most unconventional ways.
- 21:51Speaker 6: I'm Susie. I'm obsessed with my toys of joy.
- 21:55Speaker 5: I'm Gloria. Once is never enough.
- 21:58Speaker 2: I'm in.
- 21:59Speaker 6: I would do anything in a bathtub.
- 22:02Speaker 3: Convention girls love it. So will you. Rated R. Plus
- 22:06Speaker 3: special second feature, Naked Rider. She entered young and innocent,
- 22:09Speaker 3: but came out the naked rider.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Rated R.
- 22:13Speaker 1: Hey, Miss, do you have your earbuds strapped in?
- 22:15Speaker 5: I do not.
- 22:16Speaker 1: Well, that's probably because you didn't go to tweakedaudio.com and
- 22:19Speaker 1: get your tweaked audio earbuds because they're awesome.
- 22:22Speaker 5: I don't like things in my ears.
- 22:25Speaker 1: You're the worst pitch person ever.
- 22:27Speaker 2: I am.
- 22:28Speaker 1: I have mine. They're awesome. They're the wood ones. They're deluxe.
- 22:31Speaker 1: Look at this shit.
- 22:32Speaker 5: That's hardwood. That's pretty fancy. I guess if I were
- 22:35Speaker 5: to shove any implement in my ear, it would be those.
- 22:37Speaker 1: We don't recommend you shove anything else in your ear.
- 22:39Speaker 1: That's kind of why we were hooked up with Tweaked Audio.
- 22:41Speaker 1: It's the only thing we recommend you shove in your
- 22:43Speaker 1: ear for medical purposes, really. If you damage your eardrum,
- 22:47Speaker 1: you're doing it wrong, and we take no responsibility.
- 22:49Speaker 5: Stop when you hit pressure.
- 22:52Speaker 1: You should only use Tweaked Audio. And when you do,
- 22:54Speaker 1: you go to their website. You go to pay for it.
- 22:56Speaker 1: You put in your code MELTDOWN. You'll get a discount
- 23:00Speaker 1: and free shipping. It's awesome.
- 23:01Speaker 5: Is it better than 5% discount?
- 23:02Speaker 1: Not that 5% discount that you were looking at in
- 23:04Speaker 1: that catalog.
- 23:05Speaker 5: No, the discount you will be getting from Tweaked Audio
- 23:07Speaker 5: will be a hell of a lot better than the 5%.
- 23:09Speaker 5: It's a third off. You get a third off. A third,
- 23:11Speaker 5: holy shit. If I had math, that would be awesome.
- 23:14Speaker 1: And free shipping.
- 23:16Speaker 5: Fucking A. You can't beat that. And they're super fast.
- 23:18Speaker 5: Not with a stick.
- 23:19Speaker 1: I just went and got me some more, and it
- 23:21Speaker 1: was like a day, and they were there. They were
- 23:22Speaker 1: like lightning fast. Like the lightning on that girl's boobs
- 23:25Speaker 1: over there.
- 23:25Speaker 5: Lightning move fast. Lightning move fast.
- 23:27Speaker 1: Lightning move fast. You're welcome, Tweaked Audio. You can put
- 23:33Speaker 1: that on your envelopes. And you're welcome.
- 23:36Speaker 5: Faster than a geek size to lightning boobs.
- 23:40Speaker 1: You're welcome.
- 23:41Speaker 5: They're not going to like me promoting their item, are they?
- 23:43Speaker 1: Actually, they have a pretty good sense of humor. Tweaked
- 23:45Speaker 1: Audio is kind of awesome.
- 23:46Speaker 3: Just go to tweakedaudio.com. When you check out, enter the
- 23:49Speaker 3: discount code MELTDOWN. Then you'll get 33% off and free shipping.
- 23:54Speaker 3: Tweaked Audio. Sounds better.
- 23:58Speaker 5: Love that's true.
- 23:59Speaker 11: Oh, internet, I fake it with your face. Later tonight,
- 24:13Speaker 11: Let's meet inside the space.
- 24:15Speaker 10: Oh, but I can't get by unless there is Wi-Fi.
- 24:19Speaker 10: Is this a drug that I need?
- 24:23Speaker 7: There is no other way.
- 24:26Speaker 10: I am at home all day, so let my torrents concede.
- 24:30Speaker 11: You just don't get it, cause you're not on Reddit.
- 24:36Speaker 11: And if you.
- 24:36Speaker 10: Want me to go out, just make sure that there's internet.
- 24:47Speaker 10: So you guys.
- 24:54Speaker 4: Have been here all weekend?
- 24:55Speaker 5: I was here yesterday. That's when I got most of
- 24:58Speaker 5: my Loki in, I guess. But I didn't see any
- 25:04Speaker 5: Lokis today. I was very disappointed.
- 25:07Speaker 2: I'm just really impressed with this after previous experiences.
- 25:10Speaker 1: At conventions that... Other nameless conventions that we've been to many,
- 25:15Speaker 1: many times.
- 25:16Speaker 5: This one last year.
- 25:17Speaker 1: This one did have some issues last year, but they've
- 25:20Speaker 1: been working on it, obviously.
- 25:21Speaker 2: They have their stuff together this time. I was all
- 25:25Speaker 2: set to put the armor on and go forth.
- 25:28Speaker 1: Was it Iron Man armor?
- 25:30Speaker 2: Yeah, well, internal.
- 25:32Speaker 1: Do you have the blue light? Because that's the important thing.
- 25:34Speaker 2: Yeah, that's right.
- 25:35Speaker 1: I did see a guy walking around with one of those.
- 25:37Speaker 2: Oh, that's cool. Yeah, I just was really surprised at
- 25:41Speaker 2: professional and courteous and informative, which, yeah.
- 25:47Speaker 1: You don't always get that everywhere you go.
- 25:49Speaker 3: No, you know, so.
- 25:51Speaker 5: All the pictures of Carl Urban that I've found, he
- 25:53Speaker 5: appears to be hairless. I'm very confused.
- 25:55Speaker 1: Perhaps he's part seal.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Maybe.
- 26:00Speaker 5: Or maybe he just hasn't waxed for a while.
- 26:02Speaker 1: I mean, that is, I saw, there's... God, I don't
- 26:08Speaker 1: know how to even describe that photo. Pass it off.
- 26:13Speaker 2: No, what the... Hercules or Xena? Oh, yeah, it is.
- 26:19Speaker 2: It's one of the two.
- 26:20Speaker 5: He's Cupid.
- 26:22Speaker 6: He has wings. And, well, a hairless belly button. I mean,
- 26:28Speaker 6: we got what we were looking for.
- 26:29Speaker 5: But yet in the picture of me and him, you
- 26:31Speaker 5: can see a definite pear chest. Unless he grew... It's
- 26:34Speaker 5: no wigs.
- 26:36Speaker 1: I was going to say, do they make Chess Merkins?
- 26:39Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 26:41Speaker 2: I can't even.
- 26:43Speaker 1: Type that into Google.
- 26:44Speaker 8: Chess Merkin. It sounds like some action hero.
- 26:47Speaker 1: I think that's my band name now.
- 26:49Speaker 6: I feel like I have typed something like that in.
- 26:51Speaker 1: Doesn't surprise me.
- 26:52Speaker 6: Chess Merkin.
- 26:54Speaker 5: I'm wondering if he at some point shaved or waxed. Because,
- 26:57Speaker 5: I mean, there's obviously hair removal been done at some point.
- 27:00Speaker 5: And it's driving me nuts.
- 27:02Speaker 8: Who can solve this case?
- 27:03Speaker 3: Only one man.
- 27:05Speaker 2: Only one man with no chest hair who wears a
- 27:08Speaker 2: fake chest merkin's private eye. Right after Baywatch.
- 27:16Speaker 1: I think we need to get this Kickstarter going. I
- 27:19Speaker 1: think we could fund this thing.
- 27:21Speaker 6: Fist bumps for Ebola.
- 27:23Speaker 2: I'm seeing like Brian Bosworth, like an old Brian Bosworth.
- 27:26Speaker 2: Like a fake haircut.
- 27:27Speaker 1: I don't know if I'm backing this Kickstarter. Let's see.
- 27:33Speaker 1: Can we.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Lots of hood slides and a lot of AARP commercials.
- 27:38Speaker 1: Can we cast CM Punk?
- 27:40Speaker 2: Please.
- 27:40Speaker 1: I figured that would bring you around. I just heard
- 27:44Speaker 1: him on something. Is it official he's retired now?
- 27:49Speaker 6: There's a little drama.
- 27:50Speaker 1: Or is it in the way The Rock retired? He'll
- 27:53Speaker 1: be back later.
- 27:53Speaker 6: I don't know. I don't know what kind of hold the.
- 27:58Speaker 1: The Vince.
- 27:59Speaker 6: Enterprise has on him, but yeah, the Vince, yes. But yeah,
- 28:04Speaker 6: I know that there was some drama and backstory going
- 28:07Speaker 6: on there.
- 28:07Speaker 5: I totally missed what's going on. I was too busy
- 28:09Speaker 5: looking at shirtless pictures of Karl Urban. The last I
- 28:12Speaker 5: heard was CM Punk.
- 28:13Speaker 6: CM Punk. He's got a quite delightful belly button. Not
- 28:17Speaker 6: really hairy. There's tattoos going on in that general vicinity.
- 28:19Speaker 1: He does have one or two, though.
- 28:21Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 28:21Speaker 5: Does he have any tramp stamps?
- 28:23Speaker 6: He does not. He does not.
- 28:24Speaker 1: He doesn't work on that. He's going to get this job.
- 28:27Speaker 6: He's got one of those like stomach tattoos that like
- 28:29Speaker 6: kind of arches over his stomach.
- 28:31Speaker 2: It has words.
- 28:32Speaker 5: It has words.
- 28:33Speaker 6: I can't remember what it says. No, that's on his knuckles.
- 28:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 28:38Speaker 4: Rolex.
- 28:41Speaker 8: Seriously.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Sugar Ray reference. I mean, like you're going to get
- 28:45Speaker 2: a tattoo and you're going to put Rolex, you know.
- 28:48Speaker 2: Maybe they paid him money for it. Maybe it's like,
- 28:50Speaker 2: what was that, Golden Casino or whatever that was back
- 28:52Speaker 2: in the day.
- 28:53Speaker 1: They would pay for a lot of that stuff.
- 28:55Speaker 2: Yeah, they would go and get their, Golden Palace maybe.
- 28:57Speaker 3: Golden Palace.
- 28:58Speaker 1: I won't plug them, but you know what the website is.
- 29:02Speaker 2: Ridiculous.
- 29:05Speaker 6: CM Punk doesn't need a fake chest hair.
- 29:09Speaker 11: Thing.
- 29:11Speaker 1: I'm just trying to get the guys to work.
- 29:12Speaker 6: He does stay pretty hairless.
- 29:15Speaker 5: That's for the best.
- 29:16Speaker 2: Yeah, it is.
- 29:17Speaker 5: It is.
- 29:17Speaker 6: It's You know, I mean, Yeti hairy. That's that's a
- 29:23Speaker 6: little much. But, you know, a little hair is OK.
- 29:26Speaker 5: You know, my boyfriend's Asian.
- 29:27Speaker 6: So, yeah, you don't have to worry about that.
- 29:30Speaker 5: It's not very hairy.
- 29:31Speaker 1: Not to play into the stereotypes, but whatever, dude. It
- 29:35Speaker 1: seems to be true from what I hear.
- 29:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:38Speaker 8: How's his driving?
- 29:40Speaker 5: No.
- 29:41Speaker 1: He is convinced he's the best driver ever, because I've
- 29:43Speaker 1: seen him in action.
- 29:44Speaker 5: I'm pretty sure I'm going to die most of the time.
- 29:48Speaker 5: Not that he's a bad driver, but he drives like
- 29:50Speaker 5: he's playing.
- 29:50Speaker 1: A video game.
- 29:51Speaker 4: Yep.
- 29:53Speaker 1: I've been in the backseat during these festivals. It's crazy.
- 29:56Speaker 2: Left, right, left, right, up, down, up, down.
- 30:00Speaker 4: No.
- 30:00Speaker 1: Run over a hooker, run over a hooker. Wait, we're
- 30:03Speaker 1: playing a different game now. Okay, never mind.
- 30:05Speaker 5: There is usually techno music involved. Awesome. It's like fucking,
- 30:10Speaker 5: what's a good, I can't even think of any fucking
- 30:13Speaker 5: video game car driving. I got the main reference and
- 30:16Speaker 5: then I just kind of drifted off after that. I'm sorry.
- 30:18Speaker 1: It's all Grand Theft Auto to me.
- 30:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:20Speaker 1: Unless you can run over people and hook up with
- 30:22Speaker 1: hookers in the alleyway.
- 30:24Speaker 2: That's how you get money.
- 30:26Speaker 5: There was somebody running down the street, and they passed
- 30:28Speaker 5: balloons at the same time, and I thought they were
- 30:30Speaker 5: running with balloons, and I'm like, that's the best way
- 30:32Speaker 5: to run. Then they weren't running with balloons, and then
- 30:34Speaker 5: I was sad.
- 30:36Speaker 2: Anyway.
- 30:36Speaker 5: That's what we get by sitting by a window. Anything
- 30:39Speaker 5: else about the convention?
- 30:40Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 30:42Speaker 1: It's awesome.
- 30:43Speaker 5: Very well put together this time. This year, it was
- 30:46Speaker 5: very well put together. I mean, I'm pretty sure even
- 30:49Speaker 5: the people who put it together knew they had some
- 30:50Speaker 5: problems last year.
- 30:52Speaker 1: Yeah, I think he had to come to terms with
- 30:53Speaker 1: that last year.
- 30:54Speaker 5: I'm assuming it's all in one building now because we
- 30:56Speaker 5: didn't venture anywhere else.
- 30:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:57Speaker 1: There's some after-hour stuff at the hotel, but yeah. I
- 31:00Speaker 1: think everything's been contained here throughout the day.
- 31:04Speaker 5: I know that if they don't get your pictures printed
- 31:05Speaker 5: out in time, and if you have a big enough fit,
- 31:07Speaker 5: they will offer to hold them over for you at
- 31:09Speaker 5: the Galt House at midnight. I'm pretty sure they were
- 31:14Speaker 5: going to have some throwdowns last night because while waiting
- 31:16Speaker 5: for our photos to be printed out, people were having
- 31:18Speaker 5: full-blown fucking meltdowns. They were just losing their shit. And
- 31:23Speaker 5: taking all their shit out on people that had nothing.
- 31:25Speaker 5: It wasn't their fault. Like the volunteers who ran the
- 31:28Speaker 5: little photo. I'm like, it's not this random volunteer number
- 31:32Speaker 5: four can't print your picture out any faster. They are
- 31:35Speaker 5: volunteering here. They can't help. Getting pissed off at them
- 31:39Speaker 5: and causing a big deal isn't going to get your
- 31:41Speaker 5: picture printed out any faster. You know, to the point
- 31:43Speaker 5: where the lady, I don't know who it was, the
- 31:45Speaker 5: lady who was from the actual festival, she was like,
- 31:49Speaker 5: you can't stay here. The police are going to remove you.
- 31:52Speaker 8: Man.
- 31:53Speaker 2: Well, as a person who has previously lost his shit
- 32:00Speaker 2: over waiting six hours for a photo at this particular
- 32:04Speaker 2: convention two years ago? Three years ago?
- 32:07Speaker 4: Three years ago.
- 32:08Speaker 1: At least three.
- 32:09Speaker 2: Yeah. I snapped a few heads and it didn't serve anything.
- 32:14Speaker 2: It made me feel better on the way home at midnight.
- 32:17Speaker 2: When we were supposed to get home, like, at 3 o'clock.
- 32:19Speaker 5: My picture was taken by, it was done, or the
- 32:22Speaker 5: photo was taken by 2.20. I got my picture at 7.30.
- 32:25Speaker 2: Yeah, that's about right. Because, you know, it's, you know,
- 32:30Speaker 2: you got to, you have the daguerreotype, and you have to, like,
- 32:33Speaker 2: carve it out of tin.
- 32:34Speaker 5: I figured there was chimps back there with, like, pencils.
- 32:37Speaker 8: That would be better.
- 32:39Speaker 1: Sometimes they get sidetracked because they're writing Shakespeare as well.
- 32:41Speaker 5: Apparently so, but yeah, I'm like.
- 32:43Speaker 2: Multitasking?
- 32:44Speaker 5: Is there like one printer back there?
- 32:47Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, okay, so that's interesting that that's still
- 32:49Speaker 2: an issue.
- 32:49Speaker 1: I mean, there's a lot of pictures going through here.
- 32:52Speaker 1: It's one of those, like, I understand, but it's one, like, again,
- 32:55Speaker 1: it's not even them. Like, it's not even their company. Like,
- 32:58Speaker 1: you hired this stuff out. I mean, you just find
- 33:01Speaker 1: whoever's doing it for probably all the conventions now. But
- 33:04Speaker 1: it's like, at this point, for not even them, for
- 33:06Speaker 1: all these conventions, it's like, by now... They've been doing
- 33:09Speaker 1: it for enough years. You'd think they'd have the system down.
- 33:11Speaker 1: They just know how to structure things, what they need
- 33:15Speaker 1: equipment-wise and printer-wise, and when to tell people to come back.
- 33:18Speaker 1: It just seems like it needs to be focused and
- 33:21Speaker 1: set up. From there, I would think it would all
- 33:24Speaker 1: run itself okay, but I don't know.
- 33:26Speaker 5: Don't promise somebody it's going to be done in one
- 33:28Speaker 5: to two hours.
- 33:29Speaker 7: Yeah, that you can't do.
- 33:31Speaker 5: There were a lot of contradictions. On the website, it says,
- 33:35Speaker 5: Two to four hours, but no, it doesn't. I don't
- 33:40Speaker 5: know if they went through and changed it later.
- 33:42Speaker 8: It does now.
- 33:44Speaker 2: Website editing, yeah.
- 33:46Speaker 1: The beauty of the website. Again, people get so bent
- 33:50Speaker 1: out of shape, but if you can just get it eventually,
- 33:53Speaker 1: I guess you need to look at it your whole
- 33:55Speaker 1: way home or something. I don't know, but as long
- 33:57Speaker 1: as they can get it to you, mail it to you,
- 34:00Speaker 1: get it by the end of the weekend, if you're here,
- 34:02Speaker 1: as long as they get it to you, Whatever, you know.
- 34:05Speaker 2: I don't know why. Even if they offered you like
- 34:06Speaker 2: a digital option where they could just send it email
- 34:09Speaker 2: or something?
- 34:09Speaker 5: Well, because there was this lady who I started to
- 34:11Speaker 5: refer to as the angry watermelon.
- 34:13Speaker 1: Was there a reason for this name?
- 34:17Speaker 2: She liked watermelons?
- 34:18Speaker 5: She was huge and she was like in green with
- 34:20Speaker 5: pink accents. So she became the angry watermelon.
- 34:25Speaker 1: I was really hoping that was the reason.
- 34:28Speaker 5: She had like an entire green outfit, like head to toe.
- 34:30Speaker 5: It was like a pale green, and then her shirt
- 34:33Speaker 5: had some pink, and so she was getting her watermelon.
- 34:36Speaker 1: Every few seconds, she was spitting out a seed.
- 34:38Speaker 5: Dude, I wouldn't have doubted it. She was so fucking mad.
- 34:41Speaker 5: She was like, I wonder, we bought our tickets, and
- 34:44Speaker 5: it was agreed as a contract, and it was the
- 34:47Speaker 5: promise that that would be done.
- 34:49Speaker 8: Everybody's a lawyer.
- 34:50Speaker 1: I shall decree that before the end of the night.
- 34:53Speaker 5: I'm making sure she's not lurking behind me somewhere.
- 34:55Speaker 6: Oh, I want a watermelon!
- 34:56Speaker 8: There's like a zoom shot or whatever, you know.
- 34:58Speaker 2: Dun, dun, dun.
- 34:59Speaker 8: She's standing in the hallway.
- 35:00Speaker 1: You talking about me?
- 35:02Speaker 5: Seeds popping out of her.
- 35:04Speaker 1: Suddenly it becomes anime. You see Watermelon Woman flying through
- 35:07Speaker 1: the air.
- 35:11Speaker 5: Angry Watermelon ended up storming off before she got her pictures.
- 35:14Speaker 5: And then they brought out one more, like, handful, and
- 35:17Speaker 5: mine was, like, the very last one in the stack.
- 35:19Speaker 5: And I did a little happy dance, and then I left.
- 35:21Speaker 1: And you laughed at the water all along.
- 35:22Speaker 5: And then I had boyfriend edit my photo because I
- 35:24Speaker 5: looked ridiculously fat. And I had, like, eight chins.
- 35:28Speaker 1: I'm telling you, that needs to be the option from
- 35:30Speaker 1: here on out. It's like, if you're going to pay, like,
- 35:31Speaker 1: $ 60 for these photo ops, they should also give you
- 35:33Speaker 1: the option to Photoshop yourself a little bit.
- 35:35Speaker 5: Or at least take, like, a couple photos to get
- 35:38Speaker 5: the best option, you know? Yeah, yeah.
- 35:40Speaker 1: That's only going to slow it down, like, three days.
- 35:43Speaker 1: I know.
- 35:44Speaker 5: Or think of, like, as you walk out the door, like, have, like,
- 35:46Speaker 5: a digital, like, all right, okay, here's your picture. Which
- 35:49Speaker 5: one do you want?
- 35:50Speaker 2: You know?
- 35:50Speaker 1: They can do it at the amusement park. Like, when
- 35:52Speaker 1: you're walking out, you can see yourself on the roller coaster. Like,
- 35:55Speaker 1: can't we just walk by and be like, dink, this
- 35:57Speaker 1: one in the middle.
- 35:57Speaker 8: They need to have, like, a row of just those
- 35:59Speaker 8: old photo booths. And just have the celebrity.
- 36:01Speaker 2: Just sitting there.
- 36:02Speaker 8: And then you just walk in and go, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey,
- 36:04Speaker 8: for four pictures. And walk right out.
- 36:06Speaker 2: I'd be on.
- 36:07Speaker 1: Board with this, actually. This sounds good. I'd prefer this.
- 36:10Speaker 5: It was actually a good, high-quality photo. I've seen some
- 36:14Speaker 5: shitty ones before. I've seen some where it's on fucking photo,
- 36:17Speaker 5: like paper, paper, paper. You know? Like, you paid money
- 36:21Speaker 5: for that?
- 36:21Speaker 8: No.
- 36:22Speaker 1: I've seen those when people have signed, too. I always
- 36:24Speaker 1: hate when they try to pull that off.
- 36:26Speaker 5: Yeah, I was very upset. I could bring up the
- 36:28Speaker 5: whole Noah Hathaway ordeal.
- 36:29Speaker 2: I was.
- 36:30Speaker 5: I was very upset.
- 36:31Speaker 8: What?
- 36:31Speaker 5: I was going to cry. Because the one picture I wanted,
- 36:34Speaker 5: all they had were the photocopies. And there was like
- 36:36Speaker 5: one actual glossy in there.
- 36:37Speaker 1: What's up, y'all? How's it going? You like podcasts? That
- 36:43Speaker 1: never works, by the way.
- 36:45Speaker 4: Hey, girl.
- 36:46Speaker 1: You like podcasts? Never works.
- 36:49Speaker 5: I had somebody actually approach me wanting to ask me
- 36:51Speaker 5: a question about the podcast. I was like, what? Words.
- 36:55Speaker 1: You're not really our spokesperson.
- 36:57Speaker 5: I am not. I am like the most least spokesperson-y
- 37:00Speaker 5: person of all people.
- 37:02Speaker 1: If you see us at an event and want details,
- 37:04Speaker 1: Misty's probably not your go-to girl.
- 37:05Speaker 5: Unless you want to talk about somebody's belly button. Or
- 37:07Speaker 5: how much I hate somebody and want to punch them
- 37:09Speaker 5: in the face. Then I'm your go-to girl.
- 37:10Speaker 1: That's true. I was just talking show related. You're like, um,
- 37:13Speaker 1: I don't know. We do something.
- 37:16Speaker 5: I don't know. Yeah, there's a show and I think
- 37:18Speaker 5: you can download it on the interwebs. I think. You
- 37:21Speaker 5: can watch it.
- 37:24Speaker 1: If you're Ken Foray. If you're Ken Foray, you can
- 37:27Speaker 1: watch it.
- 37:27Speaker 2: Make sure you.
- 37:28Speaker 8: Watch Movie Meltdown. This is Ken Foray.
- 37:31Speaker 2: It's one of the best internet video shows.
- 37:33Speaker 3: That you could ever, ever watch. Movie Meltdown. Ken Foray talking, baby.
- 37:38Speaker 8: Go Grizzly, bitch.
- 37:40Speaker 5: I like Indiana better than Kentucky.
- 37:42Speaker 6: Same.
- 37:43Speaker 1: Yeah, but you have the KKK cleaning service.
- 37:47Speaker 5: No, but we wear shoes.
- 37:48Speaker 3: Do you?
- 37:49Speaker 1: Because I've been to Indiana, you know.
- 37:52Speaker 5: I'm wearing shoes right now.
- 37:54Speaker 1: It's because you're on our turf here. Louisville's a different state.
- 37:58Speaker 1: We make you wear shoes.
- 38:00Speaker 5: I guess. I have seen very many shoeless people today.
- 38:03Speaker 1: I was in Owensboro yesterday.
- 38:06Speaker 2: Nice.
- 38:09Speaker 1: They were all wearing shoes, but.
- 38:12Speaker 5: Was there any socks and sandals involved?
- 38:13Speaker 1: I don't know. I wasn't really focusing. I try to
- 38:16Speaker 1: avoid people's feet, especially weird people.
- 38:19Speaker 5: I look at everybody I can judge. I'm a horrible person.
- 38:23Speaker 1: We know.
- 38:24Speaker 5: I know, I know, I know. But I'm equally as
- 38:26Speaker 5: harsh on myself.
- 38:28Speaker 1: That's true. You usually are.
- 38:29Speaker 5: I did. I went home and cried because of how
- 38:31Speaker 5: bad my picture with Carl Irwin looked. I had so
- 38:33Speaker 5: many chins. It was so bad. I'm like, I'm so disgusting. Boyfriend,
- 38:37Speaker 5: fix it. He's like, damn it.
- 38:42Speaker 2: Misty.
- 38:43Speaker 5: Exactly. And I cried some more because he used his
- 38:47Speaker 5: angry voice. He didn't use his angry voice.
- 38:50Speaker 1: He knows better. He does.
- 38:53Speaker 5: I have plenty of knives and guns and I know
- 38:55Speaker 5: where he sleeps Christian looks very uncomfortable right now or
- 39:01Speaker 5: tired I'm tired what was your favorite part of the
- 39:06Speaker 5: day of the convention extravaganza.
- 39:09Speaker 6: Fist bumping LeVar Burton yeah.
- 39:12Speaker 1: How was your LeVar Burton run in would.
- 39:14Speaker 6: You like to share it was actually pretty pleasant I
- 39:18Speaker 6: was originally supposed to get a photo op with him
- 39:23Speaker 6: That was one of my birthday gifts from Ken. And
- 39:26Speaker 6: so we went to.
- 39:30Speaker 6: Find out information about the photo op and there was
- 39:32Speaker 6: like some kind of miscommunication or scheduling issue or something
- 39:37Speaker 6: so I wasn't able to get it and so we
- 39:41Speaker 6: started to kind of get a little huffy and it
- 39:43Speaker 6: was just like well we'll see what they can work
- 39:45Speaker 6: out and she said that there were no refunds but
- 39:48Speaker 6: Then they figured out since he had canceled, then they
- 39:50Speaker 6: gave us a refund. And then I went and got
- 39:53Speaker 6: his autograph. So it.
- 39:55Speaker 2: Was pretty cool.
- 39:56Speaker 1: What is it missing?
- 39:57Speaker 6: What is it missing? Yeah, my photo does not have
- 40:01Speaker 6: his hair barrette slash visor.
- 40:05Speaker 1: Slash banana clip.
- 40:06Speaker 6: Right, banana clip. You can paste that shit on later. Yeah,
- 40:10Speaker 6: I think I will. I think I'll edit it out.
- 40:12Speaker 6: A real banana clip.
- 40:15Speaker 2: Just pink.
- 40:15Speaker 5: Make that shit 3D. Amazing.
- 40:19Speaker 6: No, this is a first contact photo that I selected.
- 40:23Speaker 1: Fancy blue eyes.
- 40:24Speaker 6: Yeah, I wasn't really that thrilled with... I mean, he
- 40:27Speaker 6: looks great in all the pictures, but... According to him.
- 40:30Speaker 6: According to him. So, yeah, because I was like, okay,
- 40:32Speaker 6: he doesn't have the visor on in any of the
- 40:34Speaker 6: pictures except one, which... Like, was the whole, like, cast
- 40:38Speaker 6: in Renaissance times or something?
- 40:40Speaker 1: Minstrel LaForge.
- 40:42Speaker 6: Minstrel LaForge.
- 40:43Speaker 5: Dude, there's a taco truck. I'm so fucking hungry.
- 40:46Speaker 6: They were parked, yeah, they were parked right there.
- 40:50Speaker 5: I thought about it.
- 40:50Speaker 6: I'm really hungry, too. But anyway, so I asked him
- 40:53Speaker 6: which was his favorite one. He was like, well, I'm
- 40:54Speaker 6: partial to all of them. He was like, I like.
- 40:56Speaker 5: I'm not fucking helping LeVar Burton.
- 40:58Speaker 6: I like all the ones I'm in. Oh, okay.
- 41:01Speaker 1: You came to the right table.
- 41:02Speaker 6: So, yeah, I was a little... When I walked up,
- 41:06Speaker 6: I was like really excited. And I went to shake
- 41:08Speaker 6: his hand and he was not having it. He was
- 41:10Speaker 6: just doing the fist bumps.
- 41:12Speaker 5: And he blatantly refused the handshake.
- 41:14Speaker 6: No, he just held up the fist. He didn't even
- 41:16Speaker 6: like open his hand. And I was like, yeah. And
- 41:19Speaker 6: so he just wanted.
- 41:20Speaker 5: To punch you.
- 41:21Speaker 6: Well, no, he probably honestly.
- 41:24Speaker 1: A lot of people.
- 41:25Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 41:25Speaker 6: Well, you know, I'll knock that look off your face, but.
- 41:29Speaker 5: Um, just a really slow motion. Yeah.
- 41:34Speaker 6: Like you're just running to my face with your face.
- 41:37Speaker 1: I'm going to reenact the matrix.
- 41:38Speaker 5: Stand still.
- 41:41Speaker 6: So, yeah, he fist-bumped, and then I was like, oh, oh, okay, yeah,
- 41:44Speaker 6: you do the fist-bump. I was like, okay, germs, yeah.
- 41:47Speaker 6: Did he make it explode? No, he didn't. He didn't,
- 41:50Speaker 6: which was kind of disappointing. But, yeah, he was like,
- 41:54Speaker 6: Ken said something to him about the fist-bump because I
- 41:56Speaker 6: was like, oh, you don't do the handshake. I was like, germs.
- 41:59Speaker 6: He was like, yeah, he said Ebola. He said Ebola
- 42:03Speaker 6: is part of our world now. And Ken was like, yeah,
- 42:06Speaker 6: it's in the States. They brought it here. And he
- 42:10Speaker 6: was like, yeah, he said, it is. He said, I
- 42:13Speaker 6: thought they had it under control, but it is, it
- 42:16Speaker 6: is a very well part of our world now.
- 42:18Speaker 1: And so we have to be careful.
- 42:20Speaker 6: Exactly. So fist bumps for Ebola. It's a Kickstarter.
- 42:26Speaker 5: Go check it out.
- 42:28Speaker 1: Or just send me your money directly. I'll totally put
- 42:30Speaker 1: it towards that.
- 42:31Speaker 6: Or something.
- 42:33Speaker 1: Or whatever. Spreading the infection that is movie meltdown.
- 42:37Speaker 5: It is quite inflexious. Somebody actually asked me, because I
- 42:40Speaker 5: guess when you were talking to the great George Wendt,
- 42:43Speaker 5: I don't know why whenever I refer to George Wendt,
- 42:45Speaker 5: it's going to be the great George Wendt. And I'm
- 42:47Speaker 5: not even sure why.
- 42:48Speaker 6: Why is that?
- 42:48Speaker 5: Do you know why that is?
- 42:49Speaker 1: Because he's great.
- 42:51Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 42:51Speaker 6: The great.
- 42:52Speaker 5: The great George Wendt. I don't know. Maybe it's something
- 42:55Speaker 5: I picked up from somebody else.
- 42:57Speaker 1: Great Waldo Pepper?
- 42:58Speaker 5: I have no idea. Anyways, while you were talking to
- 43:01Speaker 5: George Wendt, like somebody wandered up and was like, Are
- 43:03Speaker 5: you with them? I'm like, I guess. He's like, is
- 43:07Speaker 5: it going to be available to listen to? I'm like, yeah,
- 43:10Speaker 5: you can download it on the internet.
- 43:13Speaker 1: Where would you find that, Misty?
- 43:15Speaker 5: At moviemeltdown.com or on iTunes.
- 43:17Speaker 1: I'm really surprised you got both those right. And one's
- 43:20Speaker 1: pretty easy to find, but I'm surprised you even got
- 43:22Speaker 1: the website right.
- 43:23Speaker 5: Hell yeah, I did. It is.
- 43:24Speaker 1: Com, right? Not like.
- 43:25Speaker 5: Org or something?. dork. Yes.
- 43:29Speaker 1: Dork. That seems more fitting.
- 43:30Speaker 6: Moviemeltdown.dork.
- 43:31Speaker 1: Just Google it. You'll find it.
- 43:33Speaker 5: Is it not. com?
- 43:35Speaker 2: It is.
- 43:35Speaker 5: Oh my god, I thought I got that wrong thing.
- 43:38Speaker 5: He's going to be downloading porn or something.
- 43:39Speaker 1: He's going to do that anyway, but in between watching
- 43:42Speaker 1: his porns, he can listen to an awesome episode of
- 43:44Speaker 1: Movie Melting.
- 43:45Speaker 5: He's carrying a unicorn backpack, I think.
- 43:47Speaker 1: I was going to say, which kind of porn?
- 43:49Speaker 6: What did you say? A unicorn what?
- 43:50Speaker 5: Backpack?
- 43:51Speaker 6: I could have sworn you said butt plug, but you
- 43:53Speaker 6: said it way too casually.
- 43:55Speaker 1: That's a different festival.
- 43:57Speaker 5: No, that is how I normally refer to you as
- 43:58Speaker 5: butt plugs. They aren't that casual.
- 44:02Speaker 6: I mean, who doesn't? A unicorn butt plug, though. I mean,
- 44:05Speaker 6: I guess, well, never mind. It's sparkly.
- 44:08Speaker 1: It's festive is what it is.
- 44:09Speaker 6: Yeah, made out of real unicorn horn.
- 44:11Speaker 5: But what else was there that we experienced today that
- 44:13Speaker 5: was fantastic? I did see hand sanitizer that nobody else saw.
- 44:16Speaker 5: What is with it? I never saw it.
- 44:19Speaker 6: I kept looking and looking.
- 44:20Speaker 5: Aisle 300. I remember I specifically made a note. Mental note.
- 44:23Speaker 5: Aisle 300.
- 44:24Speaker 1: She made me witness this.
- 44:25Speaker 5: I made, like, look, Sherlock. Supernatural Dexter. But he does
- 44:33Speaker 5: need some hand sanitizer.
- 44:34Speaker 1: He does seem like he would need to sanitize up
- 44:35Speaker 1: the main.
- 44:36Speaker 5: Hell yeah. You know what I hate about downtown Louisville? Carriages.
- 44:42Speaker 6: Yeah, what is that? I don't understand it.
- 44:44Speaker 5: Yeah, it really is.
- 44:45Speaker 1: Horse drum of variety.
- 44:46Speaker 5: Yeah, there's one right there. For the viewers at home
- 44:50Speaker 5: who can watch.
- 44:51Speaker 6: That's the circular Cinderella one.
- 44:53Speaker 1: That one is extra fancy.
- 44:55Speaker 5: And why do like 98% of carriages have dogs? I
- 44:58Speaker 5: know there's got to be some reason. I don't think
- 45:00Speaker 5: that one does. That's one of like the 2% that
- 45:01Speaker 5: doesn't have a dog because of course I fucking mentioned
- 45:03Speaker 5: it and of course she didn't have a fucking dog
- 45:05Speaker 5: with her. Fucking bitch. She did it on purpose. God damn,
- 45:11Speaker 5: no dog having heifer.
- 45:16Speaker 1: That's not just here, you know. I mean, I think
- 45:18Speaker 1: most cities of a good size probably have that. Things
- 45:22Speaker 1: like New York.
- 45:22Speaker 6: I know they have them in Indianapolis too.
- 45:24Speaker 1: Yeah, most of the big cities it's a thing downtown.
- 45:27Speaker 5: I got stuck behind the what's that silly ass shit
- 45:29Speaker 5: where there's like 10 people that pedal.
- 45:31Speaker 1: The pedaling ball nonsense. That does seem like something that's
- 45:34Speaker 1: just here because we're retarded.
- 45:36Speaker 5: That seems like a horrible idea. Let's put a whole
- 45:37Speaker 5: bunch of people on a big fucking multi-tandem bike, have
- 45:40Speaker 5: them drink and pedal at the same time.
- 45:42Speaker 6: I don't think they're steering though.
- 45:45Speaker 5: That's probably for the best.
- 45:46Speaker 6: But yeah, I mean, that seems like, you know, like
- 45:49Speaker 6: a puke machine. Not a good idea.
- 45:52Speaker 8: Here comes another one.
- 45:54Speaker 5: No dog fuckers. None of them are going to have
- 45:56Speaker 5: dogs now that I said that all of them have dogs.
- 45:59Speaker 5: There's a deluxe model over here, too.
- 46:02Speaker 6: It's like a carriage limo.
- 46:04Speaker 1: Wood grain. This is like the Eddie Bauer edition. So,
- 46:13Speaker 1: since you brought up the great George Wendt, I did
- 46:17Speaker 1: talk to him today.
- 46:18Speaker 5: I know.
- 46:18Speaker 1: I saw it.
- 46:19Speaker 5: I was there. I took pictures very stalker-like. I was
- 46:21Speaker 5: afraid they were going to yell at me because he
- 46:22Speaker 5: seemed very serious at first.
- 46:23Speaker 1: He kind of was the first, but I don't know.
- 46:26Speaker 1: I don't know. I kind of eased my way into it,
- 46:28Speaker 1: and once we started talking, he was really cool.
- 46:30Speaker 5: I was afraid this agent guy was going to yell
- 46:33Speaker 5: at me.
- 46:34Speaker 1: He was just a dude watching the table.
- 46:36Speaker 5: Well, whoever he was, he seemed very like, no.
- 46:39Speaker 1: He actually checked on us in the middle of me
- 46:41Speaker 1: standing at the table.
- 46:42Speaker 5: To make sure you weren't making shit up?
- 46:44Speaker 1: Yeah, pretty much. He asked where we were from, and
- 46:46Speaker 1: he was like, oh. And then he asked the question
- 46:48Speaker 1: you just answered back behind me. Is it moviemeltdown.com? Which
- 46:51Speaker 1: is obviously true. And then he's sitting there on his
- 46:54Speaker 1: phone looking it up as I'm looking at the table
- 46:57Speaker 1: and the different photos and stuff.
- 46:58Speaker 5: You're a general maker-upper of shit.
- 47:00Speaker 1: Well, I am, but not... I do it on the show. Like,
- 47:03Speaker 1: the show is part of everything going on. So, the
- 47:07Speaker 1: great George went.
- 47:08Speaker 7: George Jones. George Burns. George Burns. George Benson. George C.
- 47:17Speaker 9: Scott.
- 47:17Speaker 7: George Reeves. George Wallace.
- 47:19Speaker 9: George Hallis. George Washington. George Washington Carver.
- 47:24Speaker 7: George Jefferson. George Jetson.
- 47:28Speaker 2: George Picard.
- 47:29Speaker 7: George Harrison.
- 47:31Speaker 1: All right, so we're here with George Wendt. I guess
- 47:34Speaker 1: I just want to get early on. You were born
- 47:36Speaker 1: on the south side of Chicago. I guess what was
- 47:38Speaker 1: that like growing up then?
- 47:40Speaker 5: It was....
- 47:43Speaker 4: Pretty normal i would say uh you know uh just
- 47:48Speaker 4: i guess like any other urban childhood.
- 47:51Speaker 1: Was it was a i mean it's kind of known
- 47:53Speaker 1: now it's grown into sort of a rough neighborhood is
- 47:56Speaker 1: that was that the case back then.
- 47:58Speaker 4: Yeah no it wasn't uh very rough uh actually the
- 48:01Speaker 4: neighborhood i grew up in is still not very rough
- 48:05Speaker 4: um you don't have to go far if you're looking
- 48:08Speaker 4: for trouble you don't have to go very far but
- 48:11Speaker 4: if you're not looking for trouble uh and you've got
- 48:15Speaker 4: your street smarts about you, it should be fairly safe.
- 48:19Speaker 1: How early on did you know you wanted to go
- 48:21Speaker 1: into performing?
- 48:23Speaker 4: Not until a couple of years after college.
- 48:26Speaker 1: And then did you immediately sort of gravitate towards the
- 48:30Speaker 1: Second City area?
- 48:31Speaker 4: Yes, yeah. I didn't even think about performing as a
- 48:35Speaker 4: career or anything. I just wanted to be in Second City.
- 48:39Speaker 4: I was too dumb and young to... think beyond that.
- 48:45Speaker 4: But it's probably a good thing.
- 48:46Speaker 1: So is it something you wanted to get into acting?
- 48:49Speaker 1: I guess I was going to ask, what do you
- 48:51Speaker 1: think works better for certain people, like learning professional acting
- 48:55Speaker 1: or more of the improv kind of stuff that Second
- 48:57Speaker 1: City throws at you?
- 48:58Speaker 4: Well, I only know my way, and that was through improv.
- 49:03Speaker 4: I honestly never even thought about being an actor. I
- 49:07Speaker 4: just wanted to be in Second City. And after I'd
- 49:11Speaker 4: been there for a couple years... You know, I mean,
- 49:13Speaker 4: I stayed there for six years. So after I'd been
- 49:16Speaker 4: there a couple of years, it started to dawn on me, well,
- 49:19Speaker 4: I guess I'm an actor. You know, maybe I should,
- 49:21Speaker 4: you know, start, I don't know, watching movies and seeing
- 49:25Speaker 4: what people do and how they act. And, you know,
- 49:29Speaker 4: maybe take an acting class or something. Yeah.
- 49:33Speaker 1: We ended up in a lot of smaller roles in
- 49:35Speaker 1: those early movies. Were there any... I know things like
- 49:38Speaker 1: Airplane 2 and stuff like that, you just kind of
- 49:40Speaker 1: end up in. I don't know if there were some
- 49:42Speaker 1: interesting stories on those early films.
- 49:47Speaker 4: Not too much. My first one that I was in
- 49:51Speaker 4: that I wasn't cut out of was My Bodyguard. Just
- 49:56Speaker 4: a couple of lines. I also was in Somewhere in Time, but...
- 50:02Speaker 4: I got completely cut out. But interestingly, I still get
- 50:07Speaker 4: residuals and stuff.
- 50:08Speaker 3: So that's cool.
- 50:10Speaker 1: Do you know Doug Jones from these? He does stuff
- 50:12Speaker 1: with Del Toro's movies. He's a huge Somewhere in Time fan.
- 50:16Speaker 1: We did a whole episode with him talking about Somewhere
- 50:18Speaker 1: in Time. So he does these conventions. If you cross
- 50:21Speaker 1: over with him, yeah, mention that because he'll be thrilled.
- 50:24Speaker 4: Was he on that movie? No.
- 50:26Speaker 1: I mean, he's just such a big fan of it.
- 50:29Speaker 1: But he's known for being in, like, he was, like,
- 50:31Speaker 1: the silver surfer in those movies. He's, like, in all
- 50:33Speaker 1: these horror movies with del Toro, but, like, loves Somewhere
- 50:36Speaker 1: in Time.
- 50:37Speaker 4: Yeah, people are kind of devoted to that. I think
- 50:41Speaker 4: it was Richard Matheson. And, you know, everybody did a
- 50:46Speaker 4: good job. Yeah. Not my cup of tea, you know,
- 50:48Speaker 4: it was a little soapy, a little weepy.
- 50:52Speaker 1: I remember on that I got into a whole thing
- 50:53Speaker 1: with him of, like, questioning the time travel, and I
- 50:55Speaker 1: think that he's like, you're missing the point.
- 50:57Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 50:59Speaker 1: Well, then I guess the first one I remember seeing
- 51:01Speaker 1: you in and knowing who you were was Dreamscape, which
- 51:04Speaker 1: that was an interesting one and one that it felt
- 51:08Speaker 1: like they were very much taking from the Stephen King popularity.
- 51:12Speaker 1: It felt like you were sort of a Stephen King guy.
- 51:14Speaker 4: Charlie Prince or something, right? Yeah. Yeah. and uh i
- 51:18Speaker 4: remember it was my it was my first bullet hit
- 51:21Speaker 4: christopher plumbers henchman uh shot me point blank and with
- 51:26Speaker 4: a nine millimeter uh pistol and i'll never forget the
- 51:30Speaker 4: right in the chest and i'll never forget the it
- 51:33Speaker 4: was my first bullet hit and the um special effects
- 51:38Speaker 4: guy was like you know he had to put a
- 51:41Speaker 4: metal keep taping a metal plate to my chest and
- 51:44Speaker 4: taping the squib and whatnot. And he goes, yeah, I've
- 51:48Speaker 4: been doing this on five continents for 43 years. And
- 51:54Speaker 4: I look down, and he's got a finger. Part of
- 51:56Speaker 4: a finger is missing. Like a shop teacher, it's like, oh, boy.
- 52:01Speaker 1: Instills you with confidence in his job.
- 52:03Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 52:05Speaker 1: You had a little time with Dennis Quaid on screen
- 52:07Speaker 1: with that one. What was he like?
- 52:09Speaker 4: Nice, fun, yeah.
- 52:11Speaker 1: I think after that, big one would be house. That was, uh,
- 52:14Speaker 1: that's a fun movie.
- 52:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 52:16Speaker 1: House.
- 52:17Speaker 4: It was, uh, it was really fun. You know, things were, uh,
- 52:21Speaker 4: you know, I was starting to feel like I was
- 52:23Speaker 4: kind of hot back then, you know, uh, just, you know,
- 52:26Speaker 4: cause cheers was just breaking out. And I had a few, uh,
- 52:30Speaker 4: you know, future film offers. And this, this one comes
- 52:33Speaker 4: in and, um, the offer for house. And I'm like,
- 52:37Speaker 4: I don't know if I really want to do like
- 52:39Speaker 4: a horror picture kind of thing. Uh, And then, of course,
- 52:44Speaker 4: that's the one that works, you know? You know, you
- 52:47Speaker 4: do all these fancy movies and they'd lay there and
- 52:50Speaker 4: then you never know which one's going to work and
- 52:54Speaker 4: how it's worked like crazy.
- 52:55Speaker 1: Did you have a lot of the crossover with the
- 52:57Speaker 1: special effects? They did a lot of crazy special effects.
- 52:59Speaker 4: Yeah, I didn't, you know, I mean, the ones I
- 53:03Speaker 4: was shooting with were very cool, but the knives and
- 53:08Speaker 4: stuff and the tools and like gardening tools and stuff
- 53:12Speaker 4: that were flying around. That was all on wires. It
- 53:14Speaker 4: was pre-CGI. It was pretty cool.
- 53:18Speaker 1: Dangerous on that one, too.
- 53:20Speaker 4: Yeah, not for me so much, but maybe for Bill.
- 53:24Speaker 1: Well, then another big one at that point, Fletch. To
- 53:28Speaker 1: this day, recently on the show, we're talking with several
- 53:31Speaker 1: people about how influential that comedy was and how well
- 53:35Speaker 1: pieced together that was just as a story and how
- 53:37Speaker 1: well it works. as a character piece for him? I
- 53:40Speaker 1: didn't know how you got involved in that.
- 53:42Speaker 4: Uh, just the usual way, you know, it was just, uh, uh,
- 53:46Speaker 4: an interview and, uh, might've been an audition. I'm not sure. And, um,
- 53:51Speaker 4: you know, he's, uh, Michael Ritchie, the late Michael Ritchie
- 53:55Speaker 4: is a very talented filmmaker and smart guy. And, uh,
- 54:00Speaker 4: he and Chevy had a lot of fun on that. Um,
- 54:04Speaker 4: I hear that they're thinking about a remake, right?
- 54:06Speaker 1: And, I've heard, yeah.
- 54:07Speaker 4: You know, the novels are pretty darn good. I know
- 54:13Speaker 4: Chevy was kind of goofing off with goofy characters and whatnot.
- 54:21Speaker 4: I mean, that was hilarious, but I don't know if
- 54:25Speaker 4: those novels need that much help.
- 54:28Speaker 1: They're a little more of a hard-boiled crime drama.
- 54:30Speaker 4: Yeah, but they're good, strong stories. A lot of people
- 54:35Speaker 4: love those things.
- 54:36Speaker 1: Books at one point you did Gung Ho so you
- 54:40Speaker 1: got to work with Ron Howard.
- 54:41Speaker 4: Yeah it was a good group Keaton and Totoro and.
- 54:47Speaker 1: Rick Overton Totoro was in so much stuff.
- 54:51Speaker 4: Every Japanese actor in Hollywood by the way.
- 54:54Speaker 1: Yeah Totoro just turned up in stuff so early on
- 54:57Speaker 1: that like nobody knew who he was but he was
- 54:59Speaker 1: just turning in good performances that early yeah it was
- 55:03Speaker 1: what was Ron Howard like to work as a director.
- 55:06Speaker 4: Funny as hell you know I didn't see that coming
- 55:11Speaker 4: because you know I knew he was on a hit
- 55:13Speaker 4: sitcom of course so it wasn't like he wasn't funny
- 55:19Speaker 4: but he was more like the aw shucks all American
- 55:22Speaker 4: boy but he was in person he had like a
- 55:28Speaker 4: wicked sense of humor really a sharp sharp guy.
- 55:32Speaker 1: Yeah I think they always kind of kept him on
- 55:34Speaker 1: that PC kind of thing. Cause everybody, he was still OP.
- 55:38Speaker 1: He was, you know, Richie Cunningham. So yeah.
- 55:40Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 55:42Speaker 1: Uh, I was going to go like some of the, like, uh,
- 55:44Speaker 1: guilty by suspicion is such a, an underrated movie. Like
- 55:47Speaker 1: it was so well put together. And what was, uh,
- 55:50Speaker 1: Irwin Winkler like as a director?
- 55:53Speaker 4: He was great. Um, it was really fun. Um, you know, it's,
- 55:57Speaker 4: it's a little daunting to, uh, to work with, uh,
- 56:00Speaker 4: Robert De Niro, but, um, you know, uh, It was
- 56:07Speaker 4: like you'd imagine it would be, you know. I always thought,
- 56:11Speaker 4: you know, he's almost the John Cleese of drama. You know,
- 56:16Speaker 4: like you're just waiting for John Cleese to get angry
- 56:19Speaker 4: and lose it. And with Bob, you know, you're like,
- 56:24Speaker 4: you just see all this seething sort of energy. And
- 56:30Speaker 4: you just go, oh, God, oh, he's going to blow.
- 56:32Speaker 4: He's going to blow on them. Bang, he blows, and
- 56:34Speaker 4: it's magnificent.
- 56:36Speaker 1: He always seems like, even in interviews, it's like he
- 56:38Speaker 1: works so much better when he's on screen. He almost
- 56:40Speaker 1: doesn't know how to process. In the real world, you'll
- 56:43Speaker 1: see him on interviews, and he gets so... He just
- 56:45Speaker 1: doesn't know how to compose himself when he's himself. It's
- 56:48Speaker 1: like he almost works better in character. I don't know
- 56:51Speaker 1: if you saw that on set.
- 56:52Speaker 5: Man.
- 56:57Speaker 2: Yeah, no.
- 56:59Speaker 4: I know what you mean, though.
- 57:00Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 57:00Speaker 4: Chat shows a lot different than on a set, you know,
- 57:03Speaker 4: on a set, he was pretty relaxed.
- 57:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 57:05Speaker 1: There's just some people that fall right into it. And
- 57:07Speaker 1: he always seems like he just doesn't, he doesn't know
- 57:09Speaker 1: how to work well when he's not in character, but,
- 57:12Speaker 1: but he's just so good at that.
- 57:13Speaker 4: Yeah. Maybe, you know, his mind is moving too fast
- 57:16Speaker 4: and he, he, you know, doesn't really, you know, he
- 57:20Speaker 4: doesn't have a through line or he's not trying to,
- 57:23Speaker 4: you know, get anything across necessarily. He's, he's just trying
- 57:27Speaker 4: to be honest and answer questions maybe. And, and, uh,
- 57:31Speaker 4: there's just too many variables. He seems like a good guy.
- 57:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 57:35Speaker 1: Um, then one of the, the offbeat ones, but one
- 57:38Speaker 1: of my favorites, I love space truckers. How did you
- 57:41Speaker 1: get involved? And I guess, was that the first time
- 57:43Speaker 1: you worked with, uh, Stuart Gordon?
- 57:45Speaker 4: Well, I worked with Stuart Gordon and, and Chicago, um, his, uh, company,
- 57:50Speaker 4: the organic theater company was, uh, um, very hot, legendary
- 57:56Speaker 4: Chicago group before Steppenwolf theater. And, uh, all them. And, um, he, uh,
- 58:04Speaker 4: so naturally we at second city, uh, felt like we
- 58:10Speaker 4: need to satirize, uh, the organic theater company. So, um, they,
- 58:15Speaker 4: they were in the way back then of, uh, adapting
- 58:18Speaker 4: classic stories and devising their own, uh, scenarios with classic stories. And, um,
- 58:25Speaker 4: of course, lots of, uh, fantasy and horror and bloodshed and, um,
- 58:30Speaker 4: But they, you know, they were probably, you know, out
- 58:33Speaker 4: of economic necessity, they were doing things in public domain
- 58:39Speaker 4: like Beowulf and Huck Finn and stuff like that. And
- 58:48Speaker 4: so we thought we'd do the Three Little Pigs as
- 58:53Speaker 4: done by the Organic Theater Company. And then we got
- 58:57Speaker 4: the idea that.
- 59:00Speaker 4: We should approach Stuart to see if he wanted to
- 59:02Speaker 4: come guest direct us. And so he did, uh, lampooning, uh,
- 59:07Speaker 4: his own company. And, you know, we had like gratuitous nudity, nudity, and,
- 59:11Speaker 4: you know, like, like one of the little pigs had,
- 59:14Speaker 4: you know, like eight tits, of course, you know, like, uh, and, uh,
- 59:19Speaker 4: you know, just people were being disemboweled by the big
- 59:22Speaker 4: bad wolf and everything.
- 59:23Speaker 1: It seems like his brand of thing.
- 59:25Speaker 4: So I've known Stuart since those days, theater days. And, uh,
- 59:29Speaker 4: So whether it was the first movie, I don't think so.
- 59:33Speaker 4: Maybe King of the Ants, maybe, but I'm not sure.
- 59:35Speaker 1: That was afterwards, but yeah. Yeah, Space Truckers is just
- 59:38Speaker 1: so fun. Yeah, I know Stuart Gordon has that. He
- 59:42Speaker 1: really loves stage play as well. He's crossed over back
- 59:46Speaker 1: and forth over the years.
- 59:47Speaker 4: Yeah, well, we just did a musical of Re-Animator. It
- 59:51Speaker 4: was really an amazing show. We're not done with that
- 59:55Speaker 4: one yet.
- 59:56Speaker 1: And he's involved you? You're part of the cast?
- 59:58Speaker 2: We did it.
- 59:59Speaker 4: We ran in L.A. for like a year. And then
- 1:00:02Speaker 4: we did a little showcase in New York at the
- 1:00:06Speaker 4: New York Musical Theater Festival. And then we went to
- 1:00:10Speaker 4: Edinburgh for a month where we qualified for Best of
- 1:00:15Speaker 4: Fest out of 2,714 shows. Five qualified for Best of Fest.
- 1:00:23Speaker 4: And to qualify for Best of Fest, you had to
- 1:00:26Speaker 4: have five five-star reviews from UK daily newspapers. And we
- 1:00:32Speaker 4: had seven five-star reviews. And, you know, I'm sure we'll
- 1:00:39Speaker 4: have a future with that project.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: Yeah, I knew he'd done a musical version. I didn't
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: know he'd brought you in on it. That's awesome.
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: That's great.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: Well, that was one of the other ones I was
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: going to ask about was King of the Ants. And
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: I heard you found that one and brought it to
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: him as a novel?
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:00:53Speaker 4: Yeah, we were looking at writers for a project I
- 1:00:56Speaker 4: was doing in the UK, and Charlie Higson's name was
- 1:01:00Speaker 4: being thrown around. And I said, is there anything I
- 1:01:04Speaker 4: could read? And they said, well, here's this novel. So
- 1:01:07Speaker 4: I read it, and I thought it was amazing. And
- 1:01:10Speaker 4: I called them and said, does anyone ever want to
- 1:01:15Speaker 4: do a movie? Everybody wants to do a movie, but
- 1:01:18Speaker 4: nobody has the balls. I said, I think I might
- 1:01:21Speaker 4: have the guy. So I gave it to Stuart, and
- 1:01:24Speaker 4: of course he loved it. And at one point I
- 1:01:29Speaker 4: showed the script to my wife, and she read it
- 1:01:33Speaker 4: and handed it back to me and said, I don't
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: know who you are anymore. And Stuart said, well, there's
- 1:01:38Speaker 4: our pitch. We'll go to the studios and tell them
- 1:01:42Speaker 4: that story. But yeah, we got the same thing. We'd
- 1:01:48Speaker 4: go to studio after studio, and they'd say, I couldn't
- 1:01:51Speaker 4: put it down. but we could never make this. And eventually,
- 1:01:57Speaker 4: somebody did.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: It's definitely a different direction, even kind of pushing for you,
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: bringing in a much darker edge to what, you know,
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: they usually try to cast you.
- 1:02:06Speaker 4: Yeah, well, I wasn't even, you know, Stewart insisted I
- 1:02:08Speaker 4: should do that. You know, obviously, if you read the
- 1:02:13Speaker 4: source material, you know, it wasn't about, you know, a
- 1:02:17Speaker 4: project for me. I just was fascinated with the novel
- 1:02:21Speaker 4: and And I thought Stuart would be a good marriage
- 1:02:24Speaker 4: for it.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: And then I guess you've got a couple of different
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: projects coming up. Did you want to tell people about
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: stuff you've got in the works?
- 1:02:31Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm doing a new sitcom. We're not going to
- 1:02:33Speaker 4: be on the air until 2015. But it's called Buzzies
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: from Warner Brothers for TBS. And, you know, 2015. I
- 1:02:46Speaker 4: don't know when.
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: It's a very different world now going into TV. How
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: much is... Is it changed from being on the old
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: network system to the way things work now?
- 1:02:57Speaker 4: Well, very little has changed in regards to this show.
- 1:03:01Speaker 4: This is an old-school four-camera workplace ensemble comedy. And it's
- 1:03:12Speaker 4: got veteran producer-writers Max Muchnick and David Cohan from Will
- 1:03:20Speaker 4: & Grace. And so it's remarkably similar. James Widows is
- 1:03:26Speaker 4: our director. And, you know, it's funny. It hasn't changed
- 1:03:32Speaker 4: much at all.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: Is it even like the getting out there now that
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: having TBS as an option or having like the different
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: ways to distribute stuff now?
- 1:03:40Speaker 4: Yeah, well, TBS is, it's not one of the big
- 1:03:44Speaker 4: three or now four. But, you know, there's far more.
- 1:03:51Speaker 4: obscure channels doing wonderful series, you know, like Netflix and Amazon.
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: AMC kind of came out of nowhere.
- 1:04:01Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah. I was so bummed with AMC when they
- 1:04:05Speaker 4: started putting commercials in. I mean, I know that was
- 1:04:07Speaker 4: a long time ago, and I think they were censoring
- 1:04:10Speaker 4: their movies and stuff.
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: They turned it around. People were not thrilled with them
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: for a while there because they started doing all that stuff,
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: and then the original programming came along.
- 1:04:19Speaker 4: Yeah, not bad.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: What was the Hollywood reboot? Is that in the works?
- 1:04:25Speaker 4: I hope they find the funding. It was supposed to
- 1:04:32Speaker 4: shoot in May, and it blew up. But it's a
- 1:04:39Speaker 4: pretty cute idea. I really can't share it because it's
- 1:04:46Speaker 4: very premise-driven.
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: So that's still.
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: Possibly. Just looking for funding, you say?
- 1:04:54Speaker 4: I think so, yeah.
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: Well, thank you for talking with us today.
- 1:04:57Speaker 5: I know, but he's got to sign it. I just
- 1:05:00Speaker 5: love you.
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 1:05:01Speaker 7: Thank you very much.
- 1:05:03Speaker 4: I feel like I should be having a beer right now.
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: Thank you, Norm.
- 1:05:09Speaker 4: Thank you, George.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: That was my goal in this, was to not use
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: the N-word at any time. I'm assuming you get that
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: a little more than.
- 1:05:20Speaker 4: Well, when I'm sitting here with, you know, 18 photos
- 1:05:24Speaker 4: of Norm, you.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: Know, I was trying to hit more of the movie stuff.
- 1:05:29Speaker 9: George Carlin, George Hamilton, George Rapp, George Gessel, Tallulah Gorge,
- 1:05:35Speaker 9: Susan George, Curious George.
- 1:05:52Speaker 7: Georgie Porgie, George Clinton, George Siegel.
- 1:05:55Speaker 9: George McGovern, Jeff George, George Lindsay, George Sanford Brown, George Lucas,
- 1:06:02Speaker 9: George McRae, George Schultz, George Mikan, gorgeous George, gorgeous George Jr.
- 1:06:08Speaker 7: George Orwell, George Wendt.
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: Want some music for your ears? Doo-Wop Shop makes it
- 1:06:15Speaker 3: easy to rent for any event, business meeting, or special occasion.
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: From PA systems to karaoke machines to just about anything
- 1:06:21Speaker 3: that makes noise, you can rent it from the Doo-Wop Shop.
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: In Louisville, find them either at their Highland Store at
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: 1587 Bardstown Road or in the East End at 2915
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: South Hurstburn Parkway. And look for them online at DooWopShop.com.
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: Doo-Wop Shop. We're serious about music.
- 1:06:40Speaker 4: That's part of your problem, you know.
- 1:06:41Speaker 8: You haven't seen enough movies.
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: All of life's riddles are answered in the movies.
- 1:06:45Speaker 10: And now, on with the show.
- 1:06:51Speaker 8: Yeah, how great was George Wayne?
- 1:06:52Speaker 4: He was pretty great.
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: Pretty great. We talked about many movie-related things.
- 1:06:58Speaker 5: Did he seem friendlier than he looked? Because he didn't
- 1:07:00Speaker 5: look very friendly.
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: People were ignoring him because it's a super dorky convention
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: and he's on a regular old sitcom. So it was
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: sort of a weird place for him.
- 1:07:10Speaker 3: To end up.
- 1:07:11Speaker 5: People were ignoring a lot. I mean, even the guy
- 1:07:13Speaker 5: from Captain America never had a lot of people there.
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: Mr.
- 1:07:16Speaker 5: Falcon.
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: Mr. Falcon. Mr. Falcon.
- 1:07:19Speaker 5: Mr.
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: Falcon.
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: Star of Falcon Crest.
- 1:07:22Speaker 5: The Great Falcon, yeah. But even he never had a line, really,
- 1:07:26Speaker 5: you know?
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: Which is weird, yeah, for as huge of, you know,
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: the Marvel world is now, and, like, I feel like
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: he is sort of poised to be a big star soon,
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: now that, you know, they've given him, you know, he's
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: pretty awesome in Captain America 2, so it's like, I'm waiting...
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: To see 2016, the Falcon movie coming out.
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely.
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: Mr.
- 1:07:44Speaker 5: Falcon goes to Washington.
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: Isn't he already in Washington?
- 1:07:49Speaker 5: He goes back.
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: He goes home for the day.
- 1:07:55Speaker 4: Call, call.
- 1:07:58Speaker 8: What's a Falcon sound?
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: I don't know. How do you call a Falcon?
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: It's just him punching people in the face.
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: But yeah, I mean.
- 1:08:06Speaker 5: There didn't seem to be hardly long lines for anybody.
- 1:08:09Speaker 5: I mean, I waited in the Carl Urban line for
- 1:08:12Speaker 5: maybe 10 minutes.
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: Really?
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: That's impressive, really.
- 1:08:16Speaker 5: I mean, maybe. And that was yesterday morning. We did
- 1:08:19Speaker 5: that early on. Once he was there, I went like,
- 1:08:22Speaker 5: make sure he stays there.
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: If you see a celebrity, you better jump on them
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: and get your picture. Because they might disappear. You never
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: know with these things.
- 1:08:29Speaker 5: I didn't see that bitch all day today.
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: Which Carl Urban?
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: I told you, he was hanging out with Douche Coup,
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: because she disappeared too.
- 1:08:37Speaker 5: I mean, could you blame either one of them? Because,
- 1:08:38Speaker 5: I mean, they would have some seriously beautiful babies.
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: I'd be hanging out with some Douche Coup.
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 1:08:44Speaker 5: Hell, I'd hang out with Douche Coup. And brush her hair.
- 1:08:47Speaker 5: I'm not saying it's messy, it just looks glorious, and
- 1:08:49Speaker 5: I want to brush it.
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: Maybe braid it.
- 1:08:51Speaker 5: I want to learn how to French braid, specifically so
- 1:08:54Speaker 5: that I can French braid her hair.
- 1:08:55Speaker 6: Yeah, I think that sounds like a good idea.
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: I just want to mess it up.
- 1:09:00Speaker 5: I would French braid Karl Urban's if it was long
- 1:09:01Speaker 5: enough again.
- 1:09:02Speaker 6: What about his chest hair if it grew out enough?
- 1:09:05Speaker 6: I would consider it but I'd be creeping at the
- 1:09:07Speaker 6: same time. Kind of put cornrows in it maybe.
- 1:09:09Speaker 8: Chest dreads.
- 1:09:10Speaker 5: That'd be pretty sexy. I guess form a circle around
- 1:09:16Speaker 5: his belly button like a nice little circle going on.
- 1:09:18Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: Like a crop circle?
- 1:09:19Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: Carl Urban crap circles.
- 1:09:25Speaker 5: Like, now I want to watch every Carl Urban movie.
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: You just did that, like, last year.
- 1:09:28Speaker 8: Including Pathfinder?
- 1:09:30Speaker 5: I've never seen Pathfinder.
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: It's all right.
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: I mean, it's not great. It's Native Americans versus Vikings,
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: and it's way too dark visually.
- 1:09:38Speaker 5: I'm not sure if I could watch the Riddick movie again.
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: Oh, is he in that?
- 1:09:42Speaker 5: He's in the second one.
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: He's Vocko.
- 1:09:47Speaker 5: Ooh.
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: He's got that flashback for 10 seconds in that new one.
- 1:09:51Speaker 5: Yeah, it's horribly greased back here. It's horrible. But then again,
- 1:09:56Speaker 5: I don't know if I could stand the commitment of
- 1:09:57Speaker 5: having to watch the Lord of the Rings. Is he
- 1:09:59Speaker 5: just in one Lord of the Rings movie?
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:10:01Speaker 5: He dies, right? I don't remember.
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: Spoiler alert.
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: Oh, sorry.
- 1:10:04Speaker 5: If you ain't seen it by now, you deserve to
- 1:10:06Speaker 5: have it.
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: Does he?
- 1:10:07Speaker 5: I honestly don't remember.
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: I don't either now. I don't know which one he's in.
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: He's in the first?
- 1:10:13Speaker 5: He's Eomer. The only reason I remember his name is
- 1:10:16Speaker 5: Eomer is because he signed somebody's thing yesterday and wrote
- 1:10:19Speaker 5: his name on it. Lord of the Rings 2. That's
- 1:10:22Speaker 5: a movie.
- 1:10:23Speaker 8: It is.
- 1:10:24Speaker 5: And I've got to admit, as boring as fuck as
- 1:10:27Speaker 5: the new Hobbit movies are, they are ridiculously boring. They
- 1:10:30Speaker 5: are the most boring things in the world.
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: Who knew dwarves were models, like supermodels? Like, that's a
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: handsome dwarf.
- 1:10:37Speaker 5: There are a couple in there that I'm like, you know,
- 1:10:38Speaker 5: I'd tap that. I'd lift him up.
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: Bring him uptown, then bring him downtown.
- 1:10:46Speaker 5: You know, there's a couple in there, you know.
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: There's probably, I'm pretty sure there's a movie like that.
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: Waiting for you out there. I know there's a Game
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: of Thrones. There's a couple of Game of Thrones variations.
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: So there's got to be a Hobbit one out there somewhere.
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: No shit, dude.
- 1:10:59Speaker 5: But anyways, the trailer. You saw the trailer for the
- 1:11:01Speaker 5: new Hobbit movie in 3D?
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I just did.
- 1:11:03Speaker 5: Did you see the 3D trailer?
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: No, I went cheap.
- 1:11:06Speaker 5: Oh, see. The 3D trailer was fucking amazing. I'm like,
- 1:11:10Speaker 5: that would look so beautiful if it wouldn't have put
- 1:11:12Speaker 5: me to sleep. Because it's just boring.
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: This is the first of the Hobbit stuff that I
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: thought I might watch just because it's the big fight scenes.
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: The other two, I'm like, okay, more walking.
- 1:11:22Speaker 5: A lot of walking.
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: A lot of arguing about how to pronounce smog.
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: I want to see smog. I haven't gotten around to it,
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: but I always liked him in the animated version when
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: he was smog, and that's what I'm going to continue
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: to call him.
- 1:11:37Speaker 5: I just want to listen to Benedict Cumberbatch talk.
- 1:11:40Speaker 2: Oh, he's smog.
- 1:11:42Speaker 5: Yeah, I want him to like, I want to get
- 1:11:44Speaker 5: the book on tape and just have him read the
- 1:11:45Speaker 5: entire thing to me in different voices.
- 1:11:47Speaker 8: Different voices.
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: I say we let him go.
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: That would be amazing.
- 1:11:52Speaker 5: That would be the most amazing thing of all.
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: Benedict Cumberbatch.
- 1:11:58Speaker 5: That's a retarded name.
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: You love that guy. He sounds like he lives in
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: the Shire, you know? He might, actually.
- 1:12:07Speaker 5: I adore him. I don't even care. I almost bought
- 1:12:09Speaker 5: a hand sanitizer that had his face on it today.
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: It doesn't surprise me at all, actually.
- 1:12:13Speaker 5: $ 2.
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: $ 2.
- 1:12:15Speaker 5: We can go back in there.
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: I'll find it.
- 1:12:18Speaker 5: I don't think Christian believes me that it exists.
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: All 300. 300.
- 1:12:20Speaker 6: Where the heck is this elusive aisle? I don't know.
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: It's in the past where everybody's kind of shiny and shirtless.
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: You know, 300.
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: I like that movie.
- 1:12:31Speaker 5: Oh, right.
- 1:12:31Speaker 6: That's a good movie. There's a lot of belly buttons
- 1:12:34Speaker 6: in that movie.
- 1:12:34Speaker 5: Michael Fassbender's.
- 1:12:36Speaker 6: There is Michael Fassbender's belly button in that movie. It's
- 1:12:40Speaker 6: not very hairy. Jared Butler's isn't hairy yet. Jordan Butler's
- 1:12:43Speaker 6: kind of hairy, but in a podcast.
- 1:12:47Speaker 5: It's one track mind.
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: Seems to be.
- 1:12:49Speaker 5: I keep bringing it back around. I keep trying to
- 1:12:51Speaker 5: go away. I'm like, nope, we're bringing it right back in.
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: Hairy belly button dudes. You keep bringing it back there.
- 1:12:58Speaker 5: I know.
- 1:12:58Speaker 6: It just makes me think of belly button lint and
- 1:13:02Speaker 6: my disgusting brother.
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: Just makes me think of Tara Reade.
- 1:13:05Speaker 5: Because I forgot to put it back on.
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: I brought that up on several episodes now.
- 1:13:11Speaker 5: At the convention, and you could see from here to
- 1:13:14Speaker 5: this far above her.
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: Hoo-ha?
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 1:13:16Speaker 5: And there was no belly button. I don't know if
- 1:13:19Speaker 5: it was in between her boobs.
- 1:13:20Speaker 8: Oh, maybe it's a dimple.
- 1:13:22Speaker 5: It was totally smooth from boobs to pelvic region. I
- 1:13:28Speaker 5: think they forgot to put it back on.
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: It was very strange.
- 1:13:30Speaker 5: Or it was pulled up to here.
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: That's what you have to be careful with, those readjustments.
- 1:13:35Speaker 5: She had no ass whatsoever.
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: We've covered that already.
- 1:13:39Speaker 5: I know, but I wanted to make sure that everybody.
- 1:13:42Speaker 5: Everybody was fully aware because we had new listeners. Unlike
- 1:13:45Speaker 5: the glorious ass of Lori from The Walking Dead.
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: Celebrity ass update from Misty.
- 1:13:53Speaker 6: I wonder if there's a website dedicated to Lori's ass.
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: There's gotta be. Have you been to the internet?
- 1:13:59Speaker 6: Well, you know, sometime recently I have. But if there's not,
- 1:14:05Speaker 6: we should see about making that happen.
- 1:14:07Speaker 5: Get on that ass.
- 1:14:08Speaker 6: Get on that ass.
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: You heard it here.
- 1:14:13Speaker 6: Lori's ass dot com.
- 1:14:15Speaker 5: Apocalypse ass dot com.
- 1:14:17Speaker 8: Walking dead ass.
- 1:14:20Speaker 5: Ooh, that was good.
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: It's just a picture of Christopher Walken's ass.
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: Aw, like you get there all excited and be like, well,
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: this is not what I expected at all.
- 1:14:32Speaker 6: That's a belly button that I don't want to see.
- 1:14:34Speaker 6: It just seems like it'd be a little disturbing.
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: Everything about him is a little disturbing.
- 1:14:41Speaker 5: More than a little.
- 1:14:44Speaker 6: I feel like there'd be a tiny person that lived
- 1:14:46Speaker 6: inside of his belly button.
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: And his name was Jim.
- 1:14:53Speaker 6: No, not your imaginary friend that lived in the oven.
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: True story. And he did. And he was a nice guy.
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: Do you still visit with him?
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: I'm thinking about it.
- 1:15:04Speaker 7: It was, yeah.
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: And I was three and four.
- 1:15:07Speaker 5: That's a nice ass.
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: Damn.
- 1:15:12Speaker 6: That's a good one.
- 1:15:13Speaker 5: She must do squats.
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: We're currently flashing back to Misty's photo of Lori's ass
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: that she again stalker photoed Lori's ass.
- 1:15:20Speaker 6: Pencil skirts.
- 1:15:20Speaker 5: While we're on the escalator here.
- 1:15:22Speaker 4: I'm not escalator.
- 1:15:23Speaker 5: I'm right out there.
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: In this very building, Lori's ass.
- 1:15:27Speaker 5: I was stalking her.
- 1:15:28Speaker 6: Stalking her ass, mostly.
- 1:15:30Speaker 5: I got a picture of Shane's, too, but nobody wants
- 1:15:32Speaker 5: to see that.
- 1:15:33Speaker 2: Nope.
- 1:15:33Speaker 6: Keep that to yourself. I don't want to see his
- 1:15:35Speaker 6: belly button, either.
- 1:15:35Speaker 2: Mm-mm.
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: You know who did? Martin Scorsese.
- 1:15:40Speaker 3: That's who.
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: Well, he's in that new Brad Pitt movie, too, right?
- 1:15:44Speaker 3: Isn't that the same guy?
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: Which one?
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: Fury, the tank movie.
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:15:49Speaker 2: That seems interesting. Somebody just stepped into the big time.
- 1:15:52Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: He's graduated up.
- 1:15:54Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: Everybody else is like, hurry up and kill me. I
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: want to get a movie deal.
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: Right, yeah. Hot flavor of the month.
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: Is there anything else you've seen lately you'd like to
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: pass along to people?
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: Well, I'd be remiss if I didn't give a shout
- 1:16:10Speaker 2: out to my main man, James Garner.
- 1:16:13Speaker 4: That is true.
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: Love that guy.
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: Loved him.
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: It is, yeah. Been a pleasure. Sad day since we
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: last spoke to you.
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. It was tough. I watched a few of
- 1:16:23Speaker 2: his movies. Turner Classic did a whole day. Yeah. And
- 1:16:26Speaker 2: they showed a lot of the mediocre stuff. I guess
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: they just had it sitting on the top of the shelf.
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: Or the license was cheap for those.
- 1:16:31Speaker 8: Right, yeah.
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: Something like that, yeah.
- 1:16:33Speaker 2: I'm like, you know, really? You're going to put Victor
- 1:16:36Speaker 2: Victoria on at 2 o'clock in the morning? Well, okay.
- 1:16:39Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: Take what you can get, I suppose.
- 1:16:41Speaker 2: Yeah. But I did get to see some cool ones.
- 1:16:44Speaker 2: There's a. Flicky did with Lee Remick called Wheeler Dealers.
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: That's like a Texas oil man. He was working some angles.
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: It's a lot like his old Maverick show, but it
- 1:16:53Speaker 2: was kind of a contemporary, like, you know, 60s Mad
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: Men kind of era kind of thing. I was like,
- 1:16:59Speaker 2: that could have been a character that could have gone
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: somewhere maybe.
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: That's cool.
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: And Lee Remick is always gorgeous. She's always one of
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: my favorites. But it was really funny. And, you know,
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: just a few odds and ends. Hour of the Gun,
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: which was another... remake of the okay corral you can
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: fight the okay corral.
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: He did a good amount of westerns did he did
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: yeah a lot and i guess after maverick they just
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: kept throwing him at him probably.
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: Yeah yeah exactly but this one it was it was
- 1:17:24Speaker 2: really good um from uh from something wicked this way
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: jason robards yeah there you uh was in it as
- 1:17:33Speaker 2: um val kilmer played tombstone that guy that's doc holiday
- 1:17:38Speaker 2: and so it's interesting to see like you know they
- 1:17:39Speaker 2: both played the character the you know the person and
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: according to his real life, you know, as best they
- 1:17:45Speaker 2: could or interpreted it well, but it was completely different. Like,
- 1:17:49Speaker 2: Robards always had that deadpan kind of thing. And then
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: Kilmer kind of played it over the top, you know.
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: That's how you say it. Yeah, go figure.
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: That's probably his most reserved over the top.
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: Yeah. But I just thought, you know, I mean, it's
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: hard to top Kurt Russell's, you know, Wyatt Earp I
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: think is still, like, my favorite. but Garner's it's neat
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: to see and I could go on I mean if
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: you I could do a whole podcast just about him
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: but that'll be later several you know but he there's
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: a determination because honestly like the real person was kind
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: of sleazy too I mean everybody in that time period
- 1:18:24Speaker 2: had some angle they were working you know and so
- 1:18:28Speaker 2: he kind of plays him like you know no nonsense
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: but also a little darker than your average you know
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: you know Hallmark movie of the week.
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: Or whatever what What time period was that?
- 1:18:39Speaker 2: That was, is that 58?
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: That's early.
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: It's maybe like 60.
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: Even then, that's early for them to be playing the
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: character a little dark.
- 1:18:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: You still get so many, especially Westerns, everything's like black
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: and white, good guy, bad guy, squeaky clean. It's not
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: like that 70s era where you started getting the weird Well,
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: everything's a gray area, and our anti-hero is the hero.
- 1:19:03Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: Yeah, so it's really early for him to be playing
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: it kind of dark.
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: Because it's interesting, because he goes back in, like, 68
- 1:19:11Speaker 2: or 70, and he's kind of floundering, you know, Garner's
- 1:19:15Speaker 2: floundering in between jobs, you know, trying to figure out
- 1:19:18Speaker 2: what his next step is, because, like, every male action
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: hero at that time, things were changing, you know? It's like,
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: you know, John Wayne, you know, wasn't cutting it anymore.
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: People wanted to see Clint Eastwood. And so he went
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: over and did an Italian film. It's with, I can't
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: think now, it's an American actor who, it was his first,
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: I think maybe one and only directing job. But it
- 1:19:43Speaker 2: was called Man Called Sledge. And it's really interesting because
- 1:19:46Speaker 2: he plays a dark character in that really well. Because
- 1:19:51Speaker 2: later on he plays kind of jokey cowboys that he's
- 1:19:54Speaker 2: more known for. But he plays that really dark, and
- 1:19:57Speaker 2: he's got a handlebar mustache, and he's kind of rough
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: and tumble. That's pretty villainous for him. Yeah, so the
- 1:20:04Speaker 2: end of it is really good, but it's kind of
- 1:20:07Speaker 2: a mess. It's another one to search out just for
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: the oddity of it. Definitely. Yeah, so anyway, I've just
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: been watching a lot of his movies. I saw Guardians
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: of the Galaxy, so there's that, which I recommend. It's
- 1:20:24Speaker 2: really good. I know you're going to talk about it later.
- 1:20:26Speaker 2: I'm sure.
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: We will continue to talk about all these, especially the
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: Marvel world. It's taking over.
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: That's it.
- 1:20:35Speaker 5: It's not a bad thing. So far, I've been okay
- 1:20:38Speaker 5: with Marvel. I don't think they've been anything that's really
- 1:20:42Speaker 5: pissed me off yet, so I think we're okay.
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: There's a few questionable decisions.
- 1:20:46Speaker 3: Spider-Man movies?
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: That's not them, really.
- 1:20:50Speaker 3: That's Sony.
- 1:20:51Speaker 5: But still, it's from the same....
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: Universe, but not really. Not in the film world, just
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: in the comic world. But, yeah, I'm just like, most
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: of the problems I had were what was setting up
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: what's now in play. Like, early on, I was just like,
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: their mess that they'd made with Iron Man 2.
- 1:21:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: It felt very calculated as to, okay, we need to
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: set up S.H.I.E.L.D., we need to get this going, we
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: need to bring in Black Widow, we need to, like,
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: all these other pieces that made Avengers work.
- 1:21:21Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: Took out of Iron Man 2. I feel like it
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: messed up the story that could have been a pretty
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: decent story. I think we have a good villain there.
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: We have another sleazy villain that gets worked in a
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: little more than he needs to, really. He kind of
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: needed his own movie. Who's the villain in 2? 2
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: is Mickey Rourke.
- 1:21:40Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: But he's not really the villain by the time you
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: get to the end of it.
- 1:21:43Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: So it's like they... There's several stories going, almost too many,
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: especially too many when you work in all the S.H.I.E.L.D.
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: set up stuff.
- 1:21:51Speaker 2: And the alcoholism.
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: Which that kind of needed to be there, but again,
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: that almost needs more focus. It needs to have, for
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: it being such a huge plot point in the comic series,
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: it seems like they kind of needed to address it
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: in its own thing and not just as a. possible
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: thing which again they totally like gloss over later and
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: like he just continues to drink because he's starting stuck
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: because he's cool and he's got a martini like so
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: i don't know it's so i mean i think if
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: they they we're still kind of fighting some of those
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: weird judgment calls along the way but now they've kind
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: of got a system going and.
- 1:22:26Speaker 2: Well you know you got you know i'm real curious
- 1:22:28Speaker 2: about that sharon carter miniseries miniseries i think it's a
- 1:22:31Speaker 2: regular series for abc right.
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: And they're doing the four on netflix aren't they yeah
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: right yeah that'll be interesting to see how they get
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: that yeah going as well as like another side property
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: place to drop more stuff so it's it'll be.
- 1:22:47Speaker 2: Interesting that's it and then you know and then agents
- 1:22:50Speaker 2: of shield i saw that lucy lawless is going to
- 1:22:52Speaker 2: play a recurring character on that which you know that's
- 1:22:55Speaker 2: good so i have not seen any of shield it's
- 1:22:59Speaker 2: my opinion, you watch the first few episodes to get
- 1:23:02Speaker 2: kind of the vibe of it and then skip to
- 1:23:04Speaker 2: the end, you know, cause it really suffers from having
- 1:23:07Speaker 2: to do 20 some episodes when it really only needed
- 1:23:11Speaker 2: to do like 10.
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: That was my, I only watched a little bit of
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: an episode here and there. I don't even know if
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: I've sat down and watched an entire episode, but it
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: always just seems so slow. Like it just like, it
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: seems like they're setting up characters and I'm like, I
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: guess maybe if I was a little more invested in
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: these characters, but even then I'm kind of like, I
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: feel like I wouldn't care even then. Like, it seems
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: like there's a lot of story going on about people
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: that I'm not all that invested in. And like, they're
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: almost setting up side plots just so they can use
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: them later in the bigger stories that people actually care about.
- 1:23:43Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:23:43Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:23:43Speaker 2: It's, I, you know, I understand you can't divulge too much,
- 1:23:48Speaker 2: you know, because you want to save stuff for the films,
- 1:23:50Speaker 2: but you have to divulge something. And there's a lot of,
- 1:23:54Speaker 2: There's a lot of areas they could get into. They
- 1:23:56Speaker 2: just were gun-shy in a lot of that. And it follows,
- 1:23:59Speaker 2: in my opinion, just too closely to the Joss Whedon team.
- 1:24:04Speaker 2: And it's just like, honestly, they could have killed every
- 1:24:08Speaker 2: single character. Even Coulson and I would have been like, oh, okay.
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: Well, they already did that. Still call bullshit on that.
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly.
- 1:24:15Speaker 5: See how well that stuck.
- 1:24:17Speaker 2: But the best thing about it this whole season was
- 1:24:19Speaker 2: Bill Paxton.
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: I've heard nothing but good things about his weird little appearances.
- 1:24:23Speaker 2: Yeah, because it was very much like in kind of
- 1:24:25Speaker 2: a vibe, like a Chet vibe from Weird Science. Like
- 1:24:29Speaker 2: Chet got legit, you know, and somebody got a shield clearance.
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: He'll never live Chet.
- 1:24:32Speaker 2: Yeah, he never. All right, guys.
- 1:24:35Speaker 5: I just have to stop and think for a second.
- 1:24:36Speaker 5: Which one's Bill Pullman and which one's Bill Paxton?
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: You're one of those people.
- 1:24:41Speaker 5: I am.
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: I don't have that issue. Those are very different people
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: in my mind.
- 1:24:44Speaker 5: Paxton's the one from Near Dark, right?
- 1:24:46Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:24:46Speaker 8: Okay.
- 1:24:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:24:47Speaker 5: Coleman's the one who was a president in Independence Day.
- 1:24:49Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 1:24:50Speaker 4: You got it.
- 1:24:50Speaker 2: Very good.
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: Now, who is David Keith and who's Keith David? I
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: don't think those are different people. I think there's one
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: Keith David, David Keith, and they're just like they've morphed
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: into one dude.
- 1:25:01Speaker 2: One thing. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:25:03Speaker 5: More than one person.
- 1:25:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:25:05Speaker 5: I was like, I didn't know there was another version.
- 1:25:06Speaker 5: Is there really another person?
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: They don't look alike so much.
- 1:25:10Speaker 2: No.
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: But nobody quite keep them straight.
- 1:25:12Speaker 2: But they're in the same types of movies. You know,
- 1:25:15Speaker 2: you can find them.
- 1:25:15Speaker 5: Maybe I've always just heard one and just assumed it
- 1:25:17Speaker 5: was the both.
- 1:25:19Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:25:20Speaker 2: Is this David Keith that's in Firestarter, Officer and the Gentleman?
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: It's a fun game, too.
- 1:25:28Speaker 2: And then Keith David is the guy in The Thing
- 1:25:30Speaker 2: and Platoon.
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: Too complicated.
- 1:25:35Speaker 2: They Live, of course. Duh.
- 1:25:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:25:40Speaker 2: And the voice of the Cartoon Network commercials. Yeah. The
- 1:25:44Speaker 2: voiceover guy, which is weird.
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: I think that's swapped out a few times, but I
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: do remember his run.
- 1:25:48Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: That's funny. Well, I think we'll let those people at
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: home play this game now. We'll let you guys play
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: the David, Keith, Keith, David game and Google some belly
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: buttons while you're at it, and we'll just wrap up here.
- 1:26:04Speaker 5: Should we take some recommendations for belly buttons to look up?
- 1:26:07Speaker 5: Because I would highly recommend Carl Urban's, Michael Fassbender, maybe
- 1:26:11Speaker 5: a little bit of Tom Hiddleston.
- 1:26:13Speaker 2: George Wendt.
- 1:26:14Speaker 5: I would not recommend George Wendt.
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: I didn't go there. I just kind of talked to him.
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: So I kind of left his belly button.
- 1:26:24Speaker 6: I am kind of curious about LeVar Burton's belly button.
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: Is it blind too?
- 1:26:28Speaker 5: A little visor.
- 1:26:30Speaker 6: Tiny, tiny little visor.
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: Does it glow blue now?
- 1:26:33Speaker 6: I don't know. It might.
- 1:26:35Speaker 5: Are there shirtless pictures of LeVar Burton on the internet?
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: Bonus game.
- 1:26:40Speaker 6: We're about to find out. Welcome to the bonus round.
- 1:26:44Speaker 5: Don't act like you didn't know it was coming.
- 1:26:46Speaker 2: Probably from Roots, right?
- 1:26:48Speaker 6: Oh, that's great.
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: There's all kinds of shirtless there. Not for good reasons.
- 1:26:52Speaker 2: No, no.
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: Yeah, not good at all.
- 1:26:55Speaker 5: I just want to know what it's going to bring up.
- 1:26:56Speaker 5: The VAR B-U-R-T-O?
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: It's just an episode of.
- 1:27:00Speaker 2: The time I'm reading Rainbow.
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: Reading Rainbow where he's just standing there.
- 1:27:03Speaker 5: Hey, kids.
- 1:27:03Speaker 4: What's up?
- 1:27:04Speaker 5: Come on in. It's not going to be awkward at all. Nope,
- 1:27:08Speaker 5: it's mostly just Roots.
- 1:27:10Speaker 2: It's in a book. Hey, check out my Watchboy devs.
- 1:27:13Speaker 2: It's reading Rainbow.
- 1:27:14Speaker 5: Apparently he boxed at some point in a movie. Oh.
- 1:27:18Speaker 5: Or is he boxing in Roots? I've never seen it.
- 1:27:20Speaker 6: I don't think it's... Oh, yeah, I've never seen Roots either.
- 1:27:26Speaker 6: I know he says give us free.
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: It is a young picture of LeVar Burton, though. Oh, yeah.
- 1:27:32Speaker 6: You can't see his belly button, though.
- 1:27:34Speaker 5: He's getting arrested.
- 1:27:35Speaker 2: Hold on.
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: That's... That's in the real world.
- 1:27:40Speaker 5: No, it's not.
- 1:27:41Speaker 2: It's from a movie. It's on Reading Rainbow.
- 1:27:43Speaker 5: It's okay.
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: It's right after that episode. Hey, kids, come here.
- 1:27:48Speaker 5: That doesn't look like Lamar Burton at all. That's some
- 1:27:52Speaker 5: skinny white kid.
- 1:27:57Speaker 2: What?
- 1:27:58Speaker 5: Lamar Burton is not a skinny white kid. I'm sorry.
- 1:28:00Speaker 5: He's not racist at all.
- 1:28:02Speaker 2: He's a great actor. If he can play a skinny
- 1:28:05Speaker 2: white kid.
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: That is a good performance.
- 1:28:08Speaker 3: My.
- 1:28:09Speaker 5: Lorenzo Lamas.
- 1:28:10Speaker 4: That guy's a douche.
- 1:28:15Speaker 5: How does looking at Lamar Burton shirtless give me a little.
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: Snake-ier. I'm going with snake-ier. That's my answer.
- 1:28:23Speaker 2: Snake-ier. Oh my gosh. He's such a douche.
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: Why are these vests so tight? Thank God I left
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: it open with my shirt off.
- 1:28:33Speaker 2: Oh man. I need to buy bigger vests. They serve
- 1:28:37Speaker 2: no purpose.
- 1:28:38Speaker 5: I like that it's a recommendation from you. Wil Wheaton shirtless.
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: Nobody wants that.
- 1:28:43Speaker 6: I want to see Wil Wheaton shirtless. I love Wil Wheaton, but.
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: Not in that way.
- 1:28:47Speaker 6: No.
- 1:28:48Speaker 5: That was one of the options.
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: There you go. Gates McFadden shirtless.
- 1:28:51Speaker 4: Oh, my.
- 1:28:52Speaker 5: That was one of the options. Hold on.
- 1:28:53Speaker 8: Let me go back.
- 1:28:54Speaker 6: What about Jonathan Frank's shirtless?
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: There's no challenge for Marina. We've all seen her shirtless.
- 1:29:00Speaker 2: Whoopie. Is Worf ribbed all the way down?
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: Hell yeah, he is. For your pleasure.
- 1:29:06Speaker 5: Gates McFadden shirtless, Will Whedon shirtless, and Jonathan Frakes shirtless
- 1:29:10Speaker 5: is their recommendation.
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: If it's Jonathan Frakes now, I definitely don't. We saw
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: him wheel past us with his stuff. Technically, he was
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: just pulling his, like, bags.
- 1:29:20Speaker 5: Brought up Gil Gerard. That's not him at all. He's furry, though.
- 1:29:25Speaker 5: Not Chris Plum shirtless. I'm okay with that one.
- 1:29:27Speaker 6: Oh, Chris Pine? Yeah, let me see that.
- 1:29:30Speaker 2: All up in that.
- 1:29:33Speaker 5: Drinking a beverage in one of them.
- 1:29:35Speaker 6: Oh, that's a glorious belly button. That's a good one.
- 1:29:39Speaker 8: All of that.
- 1:29:40Speaker 5: Was it a Prince Charming in the new Disney? Was
- 1:29:43Speaker 5: it Into the Woods or something?
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: Seems about right, actually.
- 1:29:46Speaker 5: Yeah, like the whole while with the little puffy things
- 1:29:48Speaker 5: on the sleeves and the elbows.
- 1:29:49Speaker 6: Yeah, I did see that. That'll be good.
- 1:29:52Speaker 5: And guess who's going to be playing the big bad wolf?
- 1:29:56Speaker 5: Who relishes playing weird characters?
- 1:29:59Speaker 2: Helena Bonham Carter.
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: I was going to say, is there a homewrecker involved?
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: Because I think I've already seen pictures of her.
- 1:30:03Speaker 5: No, because it would be the other person who's usually
- 1:30:05Speaker 5: in Tim Burton movies who likes to play weird characters,
- 1:30:07Speaker 5: Johnny Depp.
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: That I figured, but I swear I thought I already
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: saw a picture of Helena Bonham Carter.
- 1:30:12Speaker 2: No. Maybe it's a wolf suit, and she's playing the
- 1:30:16Speaker 2: front legs, and he's playing the back legs.
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: Now that I can see happening, and I would possibly
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: tune in for that one.
- 1:30:24Speaker 2: He's howling from his belly button.
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: That's not his belly.
- 1:30:32Speaker 5: Button. Gross, you guys. This is the only picture I
- 1:30:39Speaker 5: can find of Johnny Depp as the Big Bad Wolf.
- 1:30:41Speaker 5: All you can see is an ear and a hand.
- 1:30:43Speaker 2: Nice. That's Johnny Depp's ear. A hat.
- 1:30:46Speaker 8: A quirky hat.
- 1:30:47Speaker 2: Oh, and a quirky hat.
- 1:30:48Speaker 6: He seems like he would make a better weasel.
- 1:30:52Speaker 5: You know what I mean?
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: He weasel-y bastard.
- 1:30:54Speaker 6: The big bad weasel. Not that I hate Johnny Depp.
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: He's pushing his luck these days.
- 1:30:59Speaker 6: He is. And I just... I don't think he's a
- 1:31:02Speaker 6: big bad wolf. He looks like a little... A little
- 1:31:05Speaker 6: weasel-y wolf. Yeah, a little weasel-y wolf.
- 1:31:08Speaker 5: He has ruined the hotness of Amber Heard. She used
- 1:31:10Speaker 5: to be... Oh, my God. Look at that mullet.
- 1:31:13Speaker 2: Right on.
- 1:31:15Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: This is what happens when you sit next to the window.
- 1:31:17Speaker 5: It's a fucking righteous mullet right there.
- 1:31:19Speaker 2: But....
- 1:31:21Speaker 5: Amber Heard used to be so gorgeous. Where's the puffy
- 1:31:25Speaker 5: sleeve picture? I love him. Amber Heard used to be
- 1:31:27Speaker 5: so gorgeous and so incredibly hot. But then, like, she
- 1:31:31Speaker 5: hooked up with Johnny Depp and he, like, sucked the hot.
- 1:31:33Speaker 5: It's like a mullet on one side. Like, one side's
- 1:31:35Speaker 5: a mullet. It's like a crooked mullet.
- 1:31:39Speaker 6: Yeah, it's like an asymmetrical mullet.
- 1:31:41Speaker 8: A crullet?
- 1:31:42Speaker 6: A crullet?
- 1:31:43Speaker 2: It's like somebody just took it and.
- 1:31:44Speaker 5: Turned it sideways. It's like it's long on one side,
- 1:31:46Speaker 5: but then it's mullety. It's long. Oh.
- 1:31:48Speaker 2: Long enough.
- 1:31:50Speaker 5: It was, like, full grown on one side, but then, like,
- 1:31:52Speaker 5: the other side was, like, up to here.
- 1:31:53Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 1:31:55Speaker 5: Oh, it was stupid looking. Okay, I'm done.
- 1:31:57Speaker 2: I'm trying.
- 1:31:58Speaker 3: I'm done.
- 1:32:00Speaker 2: Goodbye.
- 1:32:00Speaker 5: This is Misty. This is Movie Meltdown. We are at
- 1:32:02Speaker 5: a fandom fest, and we are hungry.
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: And what's the website?
- 1:32:07Speaker 5: MovieMeltdown.com.
- 1:32:10Speaker 6: Or iTunes.
- 1:32:12Speaker 5: Or on iTunes.
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: Ah, iTunes. They can give us any kickbacks. And you
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: guys don't leave us any five-star reviews for the last
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: five years or 12 years, however long we've been doing
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: this damn thing.
- 1:32:21Speaker 2: Screw you, iTunes.
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: So, no, listeners, quit your slacking and go give us
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: some five-star reviews.
- 1:32:27Speaker 5: Is it wrong to eat Wizard World mints at Fandom Fest?
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: They will not appreciate that.
- 1:32:31Speaker 2: I don't care.
- 1:32:32Speaker 6: I tried to find Japanese black black mints with all
- 1:32:34Speaker 6: the Japanese snacks, and she was like, we don't have
- 1:32:36Speaker 6: black black.
- 1:32:37Speaker 5: And I was like, well, fine.
- 1:32:39Speaker 8: You don't have my business.
- 1:32:40Speaker 5: There's way more Japanese food here than there's ever been.
- 1:32:43Speaker 5: More Japanese snacks.
- 1:32:43Speaker 6: I have never seen so many Japanese snacks. But they
- 1:32:47Speaker 6: were overpriced. We were deliberating getting the Kit Kats.
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: They were always kind of overpriced.
- 1:32:54Speaker 5: $ 15 for Kit Kats.
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: Any Japanese food in this country is always kind of overpriced.
- 1:32:59Speaker 5: Just give me a break.
- 1:33:00Speaker 6: Break me off a piece of that. Lori's ass.
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: Okay, I'm glad somebody said it because I was going
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: to have to do it.
- 1:33:07Speaker 8: Oh, yeah.
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: All right. Well, if nothing else, we would like to
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: say thank you to George Wendt, who did put up
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: with Misty leering at him the whole time.
- 1:33:16Speaker 5: Taking stalker pictures.
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: Taking her stalker pictures.
- 1:33:18Speaker 5: I was so waiting for him to yell at me
- 1:33:20Speaker 5: or something. I can picture him being angry at me.
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: All of a sudden, it becomes a black and white video.
- 1:33:28Speaker 2: Dude, totally.
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: You're playing your darn rock and roll music too loud.
- 1:33:32Speaker 5: I do that sometimes.
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: Let's cue the black and white and get the hell
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: out of here. So thank you to George Wendt for
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: talking with us. He was actually very cool and had
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: some cool movie stories. I didn't even use the N-word,
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: so it's cool. I kept it cool.
- 1:33:49Speaker 5: The bad N-word?
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: In his life, I'm sure it is. All right. So
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: with that, we will wrap it up. Otherwise, that about
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: does it. We will return next week. Same geek time,
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: same geek feed.
- 1:33:57Speaker 3: Thanks for listening.
- 1:34:06Speaker 8: I believe in miracles, and a miracle is happening tonight.
- 1:34:11Speaker 11: If you're thinking about my baby, it don't matter if
- 1:34:17Speaker 11: you're black or white.
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: And I told about equality. And it's you either you're
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: wrong or you're right. I ain't scared of that. So,
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: what you think of me? Prediction.
- 1:35:24Speaker 2: The gangs, clubs, and nations.
- 1:35:26Speaker 7: Causing grief in human relations.
- 1:35:27Speaker 9: It's a turf war on a global scale.
- 1:35:30Speaker 7: I'd rather hear both sides of the tale.
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: See, it's not about races. Just places, faces.
- 1:35:34Speaker 7: Where your blood comes from is where your space is.
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: I've seen the bright get dark.
- 1:35:38Speaker 7: I'm not gonna spend my life being a color.
- 1:35:40Speaker 5: Do you agree with me? When I saw you kicking
- 1:35:43Speaker 5: dirt in my eyes.
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: It don't matter if you're black or white. It don't
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: matter if you're black or white. It don't matter if
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: you're black or white.
- 1:36:27Speaker 5: It's right.
- 1:36:27Speaker 4: It's right.
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: It's right.
- 1:36:53Speaker 7: I thought I told you to turn that thing off!
- 1:36:55Speaker 2: It is too late, and it's too loud!
- 1:36:57Speaker 10: But, Dad, this is the best part.
- 1:37:00Speaker 2: You are wasting your time with this garbage.
- 1:37:03Speaker 7: Now go to bed!
- 1:37:04Speaker 2: Bonus.
- 1:37:05Speaker 5: I would like to thank Carl Urban for letting me
- 1:37:07Speaker 5: see his belly button, however inadvertently it may be.
- 1:37:09Speaker 6: I have to thank LeVar Burton for giving me the
- 1:37:12Speaker 6: Ebola fist bump.
- 1:37:14Speaker 5: Do you now have the Ebola?
- 1:37:16Speaker 9: Boom.
- 1:37:18Speaker 6: It's catching.
- 1:37:20Speaker 8: Ebola, it's what's happening.
- 1:37:22Speaker 1: Do you have any personal thank yous?
- 1:37:25Speaker 2: Thank you, as always, to Brian and Misty for the
- 1:37:28Speaker 2: Movie Meltdown crew. Thank you to my lovely girlfriend, Christian,
- 1:37:33Speaker 2: for being lovely and awesome and mushy and a true con-companion. Oh,
- 1:37:43Speaker 2: my God. Con-companion.
- 1:37:44Speaker 5: He's just trying to make up for having watched Guardians
- 1:37:46Speaker 5: of the Galaxy without her.
- 1:37:47Speaker 2: Yeah, pretty much. I'm digging myself out of a pretty
- 1:37:50Speaker 2: big hole.
- 1:37:51Speaker 4: Thin ice, buddy.
- 1:37:52Speaker 2: Groot, where are you when I need you? I am Groot.
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: In Misty's bag over here.
- 1:38:01Speaker 8: Help, Groot, help.
- 1:38:02Speaker 3: This episode is a production of Movie Meltdown, produced and
- 1:38:05Speaker 3: edited by The Oddity Studios, with opening music performed by
