- 0:00Speaker 1: I want to hear about your convalescence, Gina, but first,
- 0:03Speaker 1: just let me just tell you about the east egg
- 0:04Speaker 1: hunt I organized yesterday for Easter. I hit eggs all
- 0:08Speaker 1: over the place, but I wanted to make it more
- 0:09Speaker 1: exciting for the kids, so I hit like I hit
- 0:13Speaker 1: an egg right under the blades.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Of the lawnmower, and then you didn't.
- 0:17Speaker 1: And then I hit an east egg right next to
- 0:20Speaker 1: the grill that we were using to cook the leg
- 0:22Speaker 1: of lamb, and then under a pile of oily rags
- 0:25Speaker 1: in the back corner of the garage, and then one
- 0:27Speaker 1: in a crook of a tree about ten feet off
- 0:29Speaker 1: the ground. And then I hit an egg right at
- 0:32Speaker 1: the top of the stairs that lead down to the
- 0:34Speaker 1: root cellar. And then just the last one I hit
- 0:37Speaker 1: make it really exciting, hit it right behind the car
- 0:41Speaker 1: of the family I knew was going to leave first.
- 0:44Speaker 3: Did you actually have an east egg hunting?
- 0:46Speaker 2: Yeah? No, no, we didn't, not at all.
- 0:49Speaker 1: But I was fantasizing that as I was watching my
- 0:52Speaker 1: next door neighbor, one of their older boys hiding eggs
- 0:57Speaker 1: around the backyard and trying to figure out where it was.
- 1:00Speaker 1: And I just sat in my looking out my window
- 1:02Speaker 1: watching him trying to figure out where to put them.
- 1:03Speaker 3: You're glad your kids are older and you don't have to.
- 1:06Speaker 4: Yeah, we're going to dig a pit, and then we're
- 1:09Speaker 4: going to put spikes in the bottom of the pit,
- 1:11Speaker 4: and then we're going to cover the pit with with
- 1:13Speaker 4: twigs and put eggs on top of him.
- 1:16Speaker 2: So where what you were off for? About five days? Really? No?
- 1:22Speaker 1: I mean you missed three days last week. I guess
- 1:25Speaker 1: you only missed really three or four days of work. Yeah,
- 1:28Speaker 1: but you were convalescing for more than that.
- 1:31Speaker 2: How's it? What's he talk talk about it? So?
- 1:35Speaker 5: I mean if you didn't hear last Tuesday I got
- 1:40Speaker 5: up to come to work and I couldn't.
- 1:43Speaker 2: You were stricken.
- 1:44Speaker 3: I thought I was having a heart attack.
- 1:47Speaker 2: And now is that common?
- 1:49Speaker 3: I will tell you how, Cammon.
- 1:50Speaker 5: That is part of what I did during my convalescence
- 1:55Speaker 5: is I binged two shows? One of them, at the
- 1:59Speaker 5: recommendation of Sue, was the documentary series on the Karen
- 2:04Speaker 5: Reid Trial, which maybe I can do tomorrow a more
- 2:09Speaker 5: because her.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Is that common for a convalescence to binge? The Karen Reids?
- 2:13Speaker 3: You binge something?
- 2:14Speaker 5: I think because her opening statements for her second trial
- 2:19Speaker 5: start tomorrow, so it's very timely, so I can talk.
- 2:21Speaker 3: About that tomorrow.
- 2:22Speaker 5: And Laurie Valo has given her closing arguments today, so
- 2:26Speaker 5: we can do lots of murder tomorrow. But the other
- 2:30Speaker 5: thing I binged was The Pit, right, which is, uh,
- 2:36Speaker 5: have you watched it?
- 2:37Speaker 2: I watched the whole thing.
- 2:38Speaker 5: Yeah, it's it's a medical show that Noah Wiley has
- 2:43Speaker 5: been fighting to get made for years because the family
- 2:48Speaker 5: of Michael Crichton, that's who did the original ER series
- 2:53Speaker 5: for some reason, said you know, you can't do another
- 2:56Speaker 5: Er show. Now, this show is nothing like ER. It's
- 3:00Speaker 5: it's a completely different.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Well, I wouldn't say it's nothing.
- 3:02Speaker 3: I mean it takes place in an emergency room, but.
- 3:05Speaker 2: It's not, and it's there. It's the drama of all
- 3:08Speaker 2: of that. And but it's not as soapy.
- 3:11Speaker 3: No it is. It's it's more.
- 3:13Speaker 5: In fact, doctors have been commenting on how realistic it is.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Yeah, this is actually how an eer is.
- 3:21Speaker 5: And the whole series takes place in one day, so
- 3:25Speaker 5: each episode is an hour.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Oh I didn't know that.
- 3:28Speaker 5: Yeah, and so so this is what I and they
- 3:32Speaker 5: never leave the Er.
- 3:34Speaker 3: No, it's it is just in the er the whole time.
- 3:36Speaker 5: Okay, the first episode, this cute old guy comes into
- 3:42Speaker 5: the r Oh, I wouldn't have to dinner with my wife,
- 3:45Speaker 5: and uh, I feel like I'm having a heart attack.
- 3:48Speaker 5: And the new new newbie doc examines him. He's like,
- 3:53Speaker 5: oh no, this this is your gallbladder. People mistake heart
- 3:57Speaker 5: attack for gallbladder.
- 3:59Speaker 3: All the time. Ah, we can, we can take care
- 4:03Speaker 3: of this.
- 4:03Speaker 4: And you were suddenly the Leonardo DiCaprio meme pointing at
- 4:06Speaker 4: the television and.
- 4:08Speaker 5: So as this as that episode goes on, since this
- 4:12Speaker 5: guy isn't having a heart attack, and other you know,
- 4:14Speaker 5: sicker people are coming in. You know, we'll get to you, sir.
- 4:21Speaker 1: People don't. People don't mistake heart attack for gallbladder. That's
- 4:24Speaker 1: what you said. They mistake gallbladder for heart attack.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Right. They think they're they're having a heart attack, but
- 4:33Speaker 2: it's their gallbladder. Right.
- 4:34Speaker 5: The guy came in and he said, I think I'm
- 4:36Speaker 5: having a heart attack. That they said, it's it's your gallbladder.
- 4:40Speaker 3: We'll take care of it.
- 4:41Speaker 5: Well, we're going to put you in the hall because
- 4:43Speaker 5: we need your room for really sick people. So they
- 4:47Speaker 5: weren't watching him he had a heart attack and died
- 4:50Speaker 5: in the hallway.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Ah.
- 4:52Speaker 5: My point being when I told you guys last week,
- 4:55Speaker 5: I felt like I was having a heart attack. That's
- 4:57Speaker 5: it is the same feeling having your gallbladder go south
- 5:02Speaker 5: on you.
- 5:04Speaker 2: In the pit.
- 5:05Speaker 1: How that guy could be so sure that it was
- 5:07Speaker 1: probably just a gallbladder.
- 5:10Speaker 5: It's I mean, I don't they did they did tests
- 5:13Speaker 5: on him there, they did tests on me.
- 5:16Speaker 3: He was a new doctor, it was his first day and.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Made a mistake.
- 5:18Speaker 3: So he made he made made a mistake.
- 5:21Speaker 5: Point being that's when I was at home trying to
- 5:25Speaker 5: decide whether I go to the hospital or not. And
- 5:29Speaker 5: I got progressively worse as the morning went on, like
- 5:32Speaker 5: there were because you just you're like, oh, I'm not
- 5:35Speaker 5: going to go to the hospital. I just need to
- 5:37Speaker 5: lie down. I just need to take a nap. I'm fine.
- 5:39Speaker 5: But I got progressively worse. Now I know what that
- 5:42Speaker 5: feeling is of No, I need to go to the
- 5:44Speaker 5: hospital right now. Something is seriously wrong.
- 5:50Speaker 2: So thank god you weren't with your mother walk it off.
- 5:56Speaker 5: Exactly. But just back to that show, which is what
- 6:01Speaker 5: I was doing. Man, that's a good show. It is
- 6:05Speaker 5: I highly recommend that so that.
- 6:09Speaker 2: I like that one.
- 6:10Speaker 1: That young guy who keeps getting stuff squirted on him
- 6:13Speaker 1: while he's.
- 6:14Speaker 5: The guy that misdiagnoses the so he deserves apparently he
- 6:20Speaker 5: deserves to get squirted.
- 6:21Speaker 2: He keeps getting bodily fluid.
- 6:24Speaker 3: It's really I highly recommend it.
- 6:26Speaker 1: And I love that woman who plays the She's not
- 6:29Speaker 1: a nurse, but she runs the ar that blonde woman.
- 6:31Speaker 3: Yeah, she's great. So so watch that. And I'm not
- 6:36Speaker 3: feeling awesome honestly, I mean, I'm.
- 6:41Speaker 2: I'm should you have come to work?
- 6:42Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 6:42Speaker 5: No, I'm okay, Like I think I can do this,
- 6:45Speaker 5: but I'm gonna go home and go to I'm it's
- 6:48Speaker 5: it's tiring me out more than I thought it would.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Surgery has the tendency to do that. It's a it's
- 6:56Speaker 1: an assault on your entire st. Yeah, did you do
- 6:59Speaker 1: anything else that was fun or did you.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Just watch fun or just watch TV?
- 7:04Speaker 3: Do anything fun? No? I did not do anything.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Okay, we'll back to the pit.
- 7:09Speaker 4: Yeah, and Andrew is asking the question that I was
- 7:14Speaker 4: going to ask is have they done anything with a
- 7:16Speaker 4: rectal foreign body yet at the er?
- 7:19Speaker 2: Not yet?
- 7:19Speaker 3: But do you know what they do?
- 7:21Speaker 5: What was my big complaint always Bill Frost might remember
- 7:25Speaker 5: this about the show twenty four is that they never
- 7:28Speaker 5: went to the bathroom. Yes, this is an ongoing theme
- 7:31Speaker 5: in this show about the er so busy trying to
- 7:34Speaker 5: get a bathroom, trying to get a bathroom break, and
- 7:37Speaker 5: then finally getting a bathroom. And so I applaud the
- 7:40Speaker 5: pit for addressing the you know, we all got to
- 7:43Speaker 5: go to the bathroom.
- 7:44Speaker 1: So and by the way, the Crichton Michael Crichton, is
- 7:48Speaker 1: it Crichton or Creighton Michael Crichton.
- 7:51Speaker 2: The state is suing them.
- 7:52Speaker 3: They still are. Yeah, Oh, I don't get that. It's
- 7:55Speaker 3: not the same show.
- 7:57Speaker 2: They want some money, you.
- 7:59Speaker 3: Think, Michael Crichton, and leave them a lot of money.
- 8:01Speaker 2: They need more money.
- 8:02Speaker 1: There's never enough money. Yeah, they claim it's just too
- 8:05Speaker 1: closely and not. I mean it's you know, it's Noah Wiley,
- 8:08Speaker 1: and it's the same producer.
- 8:11Speaker 2: I forget his name right now. Do you remember Bill Frocks, Yeah,
- 8:16Speaker 2: John Wells, Yeah, yeah, yeah, Wells.
- 8:19Speaker 5: It is not because I was That's part of the
- 8:22Speaker 5: reason I started watching it. I wonder if this is
- 8:24Speaker 5: er was, like you said, it was a soap opera.
- 8:27Speaker 5: This is just kind of a gritty drama.
- 8:29Speaker 2: I think
