The Idaho Army National Guard just unveiled its massive new 55,000-square-foot readiness center in Jerome County — named after late Governor Dirk Kempthorne, whose wife attended the dedication. Built over three years and funded mostly by federal dollars, this state-of-the-art facility replaces the old Twin Falls location and marks a major shift toward modern, mobile infantry readiness.
