- 0:58Speaker 2: I have never done this before, but I just want
- 1:00Speaker 2: to give my personal like what I actually did today
- 1:03Speaker 2: in the last couple of years. Yeah, I made some
- 1:06Speaker 2: I've been making moves. So how I look at it
- 1:09Speaker 2: is this. Hey, before I tell you what I'm personally
- 1:11Speaker 2: invested in, I want to just give them my philosophy
- 1:14Speaker 2: on it. If you study boxing, you know the number
- 1:16Speaker 2: one rule of boxing is to protect yourself at all times.
- 1:20Speaker 2: And one thing that you know, Connor McGregor said, when
- 1:22Speaker 2: he thought Floyd Mayweather was at the end of the fight,
- 1:26Speaker 2: he said that, you know, Floyd wasn't really that strong.
- 1:29Speaker 3: You know, Floyd's not a power puncher. He's not really
- 1:31Speaker 3: that strong. He said.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Floyd wasn't really that fast. He's older, so he lost
- 1:35Speaker 2: he lost some speed, he said, but he's composed. That
- 1:39Speaker 2: was the I don't think a lot of people really
- 1:41Speaker 2: fully appreciated that comment. Composure is more than anything. Composure
- 1:46Speaker 2: actually can beat speed, power, all of that. He's he said,
- 1:49Speaker 2: he's composed. So I say that to say my number
- 1:52Speaker 2: two rules of investing is to protect yourself at all
- 1:55Speaker 2: times and stay composed. And I learned from people that
- 1:57Speaker 2: have a lot more money than me. Mark Cuban, you know,
- 2:00Speaker 2: when he spoke to us and he told us that
- 2:02Speaker 2: you have to protect Once you have money, you have
- 2:05Speaker 2: to protect it and humble when he said, uh, you
- 2:09Speaker 2: only have to get rich ones. Yeah, So I'm a
- 2:12Speaker 2: I'm a defensive investor. I've been a bear in my
- 2:14Speaker 2: whole life, not just in investing. I'm just a bear period.
- 2:17Speaker 2: I'm always a pestimist and everything. That's just how you know,
- 2:21Speaker 2: my brain works. So I'm only really have like five
- 2:24Speaker 2: stocks on my on my watch list right now, Apple, XLK,
- 2:29Speaker 2: xl Y, Microsoft, QQQ.
- 2:31Speaker 3: SPY vt I. I guess that's actually six.
- 2:35Speaker 2: So how I looked at it was like Apples one
- 2:38Speaker 2: eighty two was the high was one eighty two. They
- 2:41Speaker 2: won fifty nine around that time, so it's like twelve
- 2:43Speaker 2: percent off. I personally think that Apple, that's I'm not
- 2:46Speaker 2: comfortable buying right now. For Apple, I think it can
- 2:49Speaker 2: probably get lower in like the one forty ranges. So
- 2:52Speaker 2: I waited on that. XLK fifteen percent off of is high.
- 2:57Speaker 2: It's not a It wasn't a bad buying, I don't think.
- 3:00Speaker 2: But I'm already kind of heavily weighted in tech, so
- 3:03Speaker 2: I didn't jump on that. Xli is interesting. I wanted
- 3:06Speaker 2: to up my position at xly for a long time.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Xly we talked about that. The reason why I like
- 3:10Speaker 2: Xli is that it does have tech exposure in it,
- 3:12Speaker 2: but it also has it has other companies that's not
- 3:15Speaker 2: just technology companies. It has Starbucks, it has loads, it
- 3:20Speaker 2: has home Depot, and so you know, when I saw
- 3:23Speaker 2: it at eighteen percent off of its all time high,
- 3:26Speaker 2: I thought that was a good time to actually add
- 3:28Speaker 2: some money in Microsoft, a company that I wanted to
- 3:32Speaker 2: actually add. I wanted to have an add on my
- 3:34Speaker 2: position for Microsoft for long, so I've been waiting. I've
- 3:36Speaker 2: been waiting for Microsoft for a very long period of time.
- 3:39Speaker 2: When you see a company like Microsoft almost down twenty
- 3:42Speaker 2: percent from its all time high in the two eighty range,
- 3:45Speaker 2: I think you have to start to put some money
- 3:47Speaker 2: in now.
- 3:48Speaker 3: Like Choy said, don't.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Necessarily have to load the whole boat, but you know,
- 3:51Speaker 2: I definitely put some money. It's not something that you know,
- 3:54Speaker 2: if it goes lower, I'm not going to be mad
- 3:57Speaker 2: at it. Like you know, when you look at something
- 3:59Speaker 2: almost sixty dollars off of it's all time high, a
- 4:02Speaker 2: company like Microsoft, it's an opportunity to start adding to
- 4:05Speaker 2: your position. So I added to Microsoft. Checkq is is
- 4:09Speaker 2: another one that you know I have a strong position in.
- 4:12Speaker 2: But I just didn't feel comforable putting money in QQQ
- 4:14Speaker 2: right now, because you know, I already have a lot
- 4:16Speaker 2: of tech. I just kind of went over that SPY
- 4:19Speaker 2: and VT I. I've been putting money in those and
- 4:22Speaker 2: that's for diversification standpoint.
- 4:24Speaker 3: That's more of a safe bet. You really can't go
- 4:25Speaker 3: wrong with that.
- 4:26Speaker 2: It's not really a time for me to put money
- 4:28Speaker 2: into option contracts right now because I feel how I
- 4:30Speaker 2: look at with the options is that I have a
- 4:32Speaker 2: substantial amount of money and options right now. If things
- 4:35Speaker 2: go right, I'll make a lot of money. If things
- 4:38Speaker 2: go wrong, I won't. It won't like kill you, it
- 4:42Speaker 2: won't kill me. But it's not It can't be greedy.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Can't be greedy. So if it if it bottoms out
- 4:52Speaker 2: and it goes lower and it gets a position where
- 4:54Speaker 2: I feel like, you know, it's a no brainer. If
- 4:57Speaker 2: Apple goes to like one forty, then you know, I
- 5:00Speaker 2: might look at some long term option calls close to
- 5:02Speaker 2: the money, close to the money long term. Once again,
- 5:05Speaker 2: me personally, and I can only speak about my personal
- 5:09Speaker 2: philosophy and where I'm at in life. If I was
- 5:11Speaker 2: younger and I needed I needed to make a lot
- 5:14Speaker 2: more money on investments, I might take more risks, but
- 5:16Speaker 2: I don't necessarily need that right now. And preservation of
- 5:19Speaker 2: capital is extremely important to me. So this is my
- 5:22Speaker 2: this is my thought process. Like, if I can get
- 5:24Speaker 2: sixty seventy one hundred percent, I'm okay with that. Don't
- 5:27Speaker 2: necessarily need to get a thousand percent because you start
- 5:29Speaker 2: to look at the risk reward ratio show and once
- 5:32Speaker 2: you start to understand how money works, if I can
- 5:34Speaker 2: turn over, you know, one hundred percent on an on
- 5:39Speaker 2: going basis, you know that that's a lot of money
- 5:42Speaker 2: down the line. So that's why the options I'm not
- 5:46Speaker 2: I'm not really rushing into option contracts right now. But
- 5:49Speaker 2: like I said, if keep some money on the sidelines,
- 5:52Speaker 2: if there's an opportunity that you know, I just can't miss,
- 5:56Speaker 2: then I'm gonna go full full fledged with a couple.
- 5:59Speaker 2: But I'm only looking at those. And then one other
- 6:02Speaker 2: thing before I finished. The reason why I'm only looking
- 6:04Speaker 2: at those that I just named is once again, safety first. Yes,
- 6:10Speaker 2: Zoom is down sixty three percent, almost that fifty two
- 6:13Speaker 2: week low. Touch it, but let me let me just finish.
- 6:17Speaker 2: So people might get tempted with that, people might get
- 6:20Speaker 2: tempted with Netflix. People might Yeah, you could always potentially
- 6:23Speaker 2: make more money on a more riskier play, but once again,
- 6:26Speaker 2: it's the risk for ward ratio I liked.
- 6:29Speaker 3: I'd rather go.
- 6:30Speaker 2: With something that I'm not going to lose money on,
- 6:32Speaker 2: Like the number one rule to invest in is don't lose.
- 6:35Speaker 2: So everybody's risk appetite is different. But I'm not in
- 6:42Speaker 2: investing to lose money. I'm in investing to actually make money,
- 6:45Speaker 2: preserve the money that I've already made. So my risk
- 6:49Speaker 2: for ward ratio in my brain is to say, Okay,
- 6:52Speaker 2: zoom could potentially if it just goes up crazy, I
- 6:55Speaker 2: can make a lot of money, but it's also a
- 6:57Speaker 2: very high risk situation right now. Would rather go with
- 7:01Speaker 2: something that I know is gonna you know stand that's
- 7:05Speaker 2: the time. And it's just like sports, when you get down,
- 7:07Speaker 2: you go with your start players, Like I played basketball
- 7:09Speaker 2: my whole time life. When you're down by twenty, you
- 7:12Speaker 2: don't put the seventh man off the bench in the
- 7:14Speaker 2: game you recover, you put the star players in. You
- 7:18Speaker 2: gotta go with your care when when you're down, you
- 7:20Speaker 2: go with your You go with your core players that
- 7:25Speaker 2: have been there, that's proven, that's going to get you
- 7:28Speaker 2: to the victory. You don't bench Tom Brady in overtime or.
- 7:33Speaker 4: Cut Antonio Brown when they need when you need.
- 7:36Speaker 3: A slot receiver.
- 7:37Speaker 2: So that's that's that's my that's my personal playbook. That's
- 7:40Speaker 2: some of the moves that I made today.
- 7:42Speaker 5: I feel compelled because I was busy. I feel I'll
- 7:47Speaker 5: share a few then let's let's do that. So like
- 7:50Speaker 5: you again, obviously we have some similar investments. But over
- 7:56Speaker 5: the past, I say, in the past three weeks or so,
- 7:59Speaker 5: obviously wouldn't and astec having a correction. I've decided to
- 8:03Speaker 5: go more into having shares, and so I know one
- 8:06Speaker 5: of the things I've been saying on Market money is
- 8:07Speaker 5: for the past two years is that we want to
- 8:09Speaker 5: start our own club. We want to make it like
- 8:11Speaker 5: the forty forty of investment. And so I said, let's
- 8:14Speaker 5: do a thousand shares and one hundred doors. And so
- 8:16Speaker 5: I hope everybody's been still doing that. I got to
- 8:19Speaker 5: my thousand shares.
- 8:20Speaker 6: Of app welcome to the club. Yeah, so I got
- 8:23Speaker 6: a nuge of Derek clap it up for Troy. Appreciate that, Troy.
- 8:26Speaker 6: Shout out to Taylor Man.
- 8:28Speaker 5: We had a great conversation a young man from our
- 8:30Speaker 5: neighborhood and he's really diving in it into investment and
- 8:34Speaker 5: we had this whole conversation about Apple when it got
- 8:36Speaker 5: up to one eighty three. And this episode is brought
- 8:39Speaker 5: to you by P and C Bank. A lot of
- 8:41Speaker 5: people think podcasts about work are boring, and sure they
- 8:45Speaker 5: definitely can be, but understanding of professionals routine shows us

- 10:29Speaker 7: Coach, the energy out there felt different. What changed for
- 10:31Speaker 7: the team today?
- 10:32Speaker 8: It was the new game day, scratches from the California
- 10:34Speaker 8: Lottery players, everything. Those games sent the team's energy through
- 10:38Speaker 8: the roof.
- 10:38Speaker 7: Are you saying it was the off field play that
- 10:40Speaker 7: made the difference on the field.
- 10:41Speaker 8: Hey, little play makes your day, and today it made
- 10:44Speaker 8: the game that's off of now.
- 10:46Speaker 9: Coach, one more question play the new Los Angeles Chargers
- 10:49Speaker 9: San Francisco forty nine ers and Los Angeles Rams scratchers
- 10:52Speaker 9: from the California Lottery. A little play can make your day.
- 10:56Speaker 9: Peace may responsibily must be eighteen years or older to
- 10:58Speaker 9: purchase plate or claim.
- 10:58Speaker 6: So I'm just wait. I send the text message. I said,
- 11:01Speaker 6: it's gonna pull back.
- 11:01Speaker 5: Let's look at it in that one fifty to one
- 11:03Speaker 5: fifty five range, just based on the percentage I was
- 11:05Speaker 5: looking at. And it hit one fifty five and I
- 11:07Speaker 5: sent them the text message right on time. And so
- 11:09Speaker 5: I grabbed some shares at Apple today that got me
- 11:11Speaker 5: to my thousand Microsoft Like I said, Uh, And it's
- 11:14Speaker 5: crazy because we were Lawrence was on the chat today
- 11:17Speaker 5: with the earnest and as he's talking about Microsoft, I'm
- 11:20Speaker 5: actually persting, and we looked at the same exact thing,
- 11:23Speaker 5: and we had put it in the two hundred EMA
- 11:26Speaker 5: and we looked at how often does Microsoft trade below
- 11:29Speaker 5: is two hundred EMA?
- 11:31Speaker 6: Right?
- 11:31Speaker 5: The last time I did it was exactly, you know.
- 11:34Speaker 5: And so when you look at it, if you look
- 11:36Speaker 5: at it's two hundred.
- 11:36Speaker 2: Move but it's ten thousand people on YouTube shots, everybody shout.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Somebody might not know what the EMA is.
- 11:42Speaker 5: What's so it's estimate moving average, so over the two
- 11:45Speaker 5: hundred days span, especially so the last time it was
- 11:50Speaker 5: March twenty third, twenty twenties. This is right in the
- 11:54Speaker 5: right during the pandemic, like the height of everything shutting down.
- 11:57Speaker 6: And so that was the last time I did it.
- 11:59Speaker 5: And it finally did it like on Friday, and I
- 12:00Speaker 5: was like, all right, well, maybe it still has some
- 12:02Speaker 5: moves to move down, and it actually did.
- 12:03Speaker 6: It got down to two seventy seven.
- 12:06Speaker 5: And so once I did two seventy seven, I was like,
- 12:08Speaker 5: oh yeah, gotta grab some share.
- 12:09Speaker 6: So I grabbed some shares at that number.
- 12:12Speaker 5: I hit a few shares, and look where it closed today,
- 12:15Speaker 5: right at his two hundred, right at two ninety six.
- 12:17Speaker 6: So right, it got right back up to his two
- 12:19Speaker 6: hundred day moving average. So that was a great play. Facebook.
- 12:22Speaker 5: Another one that you know already have some option calls
- 12:25Speaker 5: on it for out to twenty twenty four, like long
- 12:27Speaker 5: term leaps. But I saw the stock the equity, I'm like, look,
- 12:31Speaker 5: I wanted under three hundred.
- 12:33Speaker 6: It got down to two ninety. No brainer.
- 12:35Speaker 5: If I loved it at three hundred, I have to
- 12:37Speaker 5: love it at two ninety. And so I grabbed some
- 12:40Speaker 5: shares there and in video, oh mine video, I had
- 12:44Speaker 5: my price point under two nineteen and to see it
- 12:47Speaker 5: go down to two eleven again. If I loved it
- 12:49Speaker 5: at two nineteen, of course I have to love it
- 12:52Speaker 5: at two eleven. So I grabbed some shares there. I
- 12:54Speaker 5: actually uh invested in uh was it VT? I think
- 13:01Speaker 5: I got some vt I shares I added to the
- 13:03Speaker 5: custodia account for the kids. And so this is what
- 13:05Speaker 5: I'm saying. When people are very fearful, like they looked
- 13:08Speaker 5: at the fair and Greed Index, right that was remember
- 13:10Speaker 5: those that was one of those early episodes, and we
- 13:12Speaker 5: were like, look at the fair and Greed Index. It'll
- 13:14Speaker 5: tell you what the market is thinking. The fair and
- 13:16Speaker 5: Greed index is at thirteen right now. Everybody's fearful. And
- 13:20Speaker 5: we told you when people are fearful, that's when we
- 13:22Speaker 5: see opportunities. And so these are some of the opportunities
- 13:25Speaker 5: that I saw today and decided to act upon. I'm
- 13:28Speaker 5: sure there'll be someone tomorrow, but you gotta you gotta
- 13:31Speaker 5: be active. You gotta know like this is a this
- 13:33Speaker 5: is a time, right. If you loved it at one number,
- 13:35Speaker 5: you got to love it at the next one.
- 13:37Speaker 4: I want to stress this really quick. Please write this
- 13:39Speaker 4: down because this is a scholarship. Vo A vt I, Apple, Microsoft.
- 13:45Speaker 4: If you choose to dbate, the losses will be a
- 13:47Speaker 4: lot heavier. So I know some of you got but
- 13:49Speaker 4: vo A vtr Apple Microsoft. And one of the reasons
- 13:53Speaker 4: I love Apple. If you go look at the top
- 13:57Speaker 4: apps Zoom TikTok, Disney Plus, you you Instagram, Facebook, Snap, Messenger, Gmail,
- 14:03Speaker 4: cash App, Amazon, Netflix, Google, Maps, Door that they get
- 14:06Speaker 4: a percentage of all those businesses. Why are you not
- 14:11Speaker 4: invested in them? So you stick with the plan because
- 14:14Speaker 4: all the money going back to the marketing point consistency.
- 14:18Speaker 4: If you keep switching out positions, you're going to end
- 14:21Speaker 4: up in a lot of trouble. For those you looking
- 14:23Speaker 4: to do option, do not do an optional Apple until
- 14:25Speaker 4: it gets till one thirty four.
- 14:27Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it has it has to be something. And
- 14:29Speaker 3: one time I guess one more.
- 14:32Speaker 5: I had one more, so there was there was one
- 14:33Speaker 5: more and it didn't I had a limit order on it,
- 14:36Speaker 5: and that was CrowdStrike because again it had the number
- 14:39Speaker 5: that I had like exactly, so it had the number
- 14:43Speaker 5: that I liked, and so I put the limit on.
- 14:45Speaker 5: But the problem was when I put it in, I
- 14:47Speaker 5: think it was like at like three fifteen. By the
- 14:50Speaker 5: time the market had started to turn around, and so
- 14:53Speaker 5: it started trending back up. And I'm like, oh, all right,
- 14:55Speaker 5: so that's one that I'll have to look at tomorrow.
- 14:57Speaker 6: But that's what it is.
- 14:58Speaker 5: Man, When when need type of situations where it is
- 15:01Speaker 5: a correction, especially in an astect, even inn SMP itself, Nope,
- 15:06Speaker 5: get your point, get your target point right, and stick
- 15:09Speaker 5: with it.
- 15:09Speaker 6: Well, y y'all did all the work.
- 15:11Speaker 5: Y'all waited for it to get to a number, and
- 15:12Speaker 5: then it got to the numbers, Like wait, should I
- 15:14Speaker 5: do it?
- 15:15Speaker 2: And one thing I'm shot to jadakids. One thing that
- 15:17Speaker 2: he said early on is focus what I'm focused on,
- 15:21Speaker 2: what I'm invested in. And that's something that I always
- 15:23Speaker 2: remember that line for my whole entire life. I don't
- 15:26Speaker 2: talk about a lot of stocks because I'm not invested
- 15:27Speaker 2: in them. I'm not focused in them. I'm focused on
- 15:30Speaker 2: what I'm invested in. So I never invested in Amazon.
- 15:33Speaker 2: That's why I don't really talk about Amazon. But I
- 15:35Speaker 2: want to ask you about Amazon, I don't I never
- 15:37Speaker 2: invested in Disney, I never invested in a lot of
- 15:39Speaker 2: these companies. That's why I don't talk about it. You
- 15:41Speaker 2: don't need a lot of companies to get rich. You
- 15:43Speaker 2: just need to focus on a few. I focused when
- 15:46Speaker 2: I'm when I'm invested in. One last thing about these options.
- 15:50Speaker 2: Once again, everybody's option strategy is different. Just be careful because,
- 15:54Speaker 2: like I said, I never lost money on a long
- 15:57Speaker 2: term close I iver lost money on long term in
- 16:02Speaker 2: the money option or close to the money option.
- 16:05Speaker 3: Stop gambling, I know I want to chase nine hundred percent.
- 16:08Speaker 3: Stop gambling.
- 16:09Speaker 2: You get out of the money, far out of the money.
- 16:12Speaker 2: You can hurt yourself. And don't get fooled by social media.
- 16:16Speaker 2: They say the average Black families networth is like twenty
- 16:19Speaker 2: five hundred dollars something like that. So my thing is this.
- 16:23Speaker 2: If you're on social media and everybody's a market genius,
- 16:27Speaker 2: they all of a sudden they posted twenty fifteen they
- 16:30Speaker 2: make money on puts when the market goes down short
- 16:33Speaker 2: term options. If everybody's making money, who's poor. If everybody's rich,
- 16:38Speaker 2: who's poor?
- 16:39Speaker 4: And here's here's a quick test. Ask them how much
- 16:41Speaker 4: they have and then literally ask me, hey seen me
- 16:42Speaker 4: some money? Shout out to everybody in stock club. I
- 16:44Speaker 4: was supposed to get cash ups to you guys have
- 16:46Speaker 4: been saying cash ups. If you got them, put your
- 16:48Speaker 4: in chat asks them to seving some money. That's a
- 16:51Speaker 4: real test to though. Everyone's talking. If you want to
- 16:54Speaker 4: steal my entire strategy, go to inanel that reveals the
- 16:56Speaker 4: hitting the secrets of investing article I did, I think
- 16:59Speaker 4: in twenty sixteen or seven and rolling out take my
- 17:01Speaker 4: entire ship.
- 17:03Speaker 3: Let's see who's really winning?
- 17:04Speaker 6: Because man, same thing A shoty.
- 17:06Speaker 4: I was quiet today, Yo, I ain't see that any posts,
- 17:10Speaker 4: no talk about hedgend where was it at?
- 17:13Speaker 3: No? But that's how I love though.
- 17:14Speaker 2: But that's not a lot, but it's it's actually now,
- 17:17Speaker 2: it's actually out of love. God, I know that's our culture,
- 17:19Speaker 2: even hip hop. You talk about you talk about things
- 17:21Speaker 2: before you have it. That's always been part of our culture,
- 17:24Speaker 2: like to speak things into existence. I respect that on
- 17:27Speaker 2: a certain level with it, sometimes not in lion of Yeah,
- 17:30Speaker 2: sometimes you gotta tell the truth.
- 17:31Speaker 3: Just sometimes you gotta tell the truth.
- 17:32Speaker 2: And like I said, if everybody's making money, who's losing money?
- 17:37Speaker 6: Who listens?
- 17:39Speaker 4: My dad's been doing construction probably since ninety one, if
- 17:42Speaker 4: I wanted to, I can call him and take every
- 17:44Speaker 4: tip from him and put it on social I never
- 17:46Speaker 4: do it because those of you that actually do construction,
- 17:48Speaker 4: when I say two by four instead of four by four,
- 17:50Speaker 4: you're gonna be like he is a fucking fraud. Stay
- 17:53Speaker 4: in your lane, master your craft. Then all the riches
- 17:58Speaker 4: are there because which I don't want you to do.
- 18:00Speaker 4: That's what happened with Elizabeth Thairknos and other people who
- 18:04Speaker 4: have destroyed their brand. You can jump out there too early,
- 18:08Speaker 4: and once a flux of people don't trust you, no
- 18:11Speaker 4: matter what business you go in, they'll never do to
- 18:14Speaker 4: business you again.
- 18:17Speaker 2: My graduates from my school being forced bad drop.
- 18:22Speaker 3: Bag drop Mike, drop back, drop drops.
- 18:37Speaker 7: Coach, the energy out there felt different. What changed for
- 18:40Speaker 7: the team today?
- 18:41Speaker 8: It was the new game day scratches from the California
- 18:43Speaker 8: Lottery players, everything. Those games sent the team's energy through
- 18:46Speaker 8: the roof.
- 18:47Speaker 7: Are you saying it was the off field play that
- 18:49Speaker 7: made the difference on the field.
- 18:50Speaker 8: Hey, little play makes your day, and today it made
- 18:53Speaker 8: the game. That's all for now, Coach.
- 18:55Speaker 9: One more question play than New Los Angeles Chargers, San
- 18:58Speaker 9: Francisco forty nine ers and Los ange wiless ram scratchers
- 19:01Speaker 9: from the California Lottery. A little play can make your
- 19:03Speaker 9: day face play responsibly. Must be eighteen years or older
- 19:06Speaker 9: to purchase play or claim
