Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles Today.
• 0:04
Speaker 1: For this look back episode, we're going to slide back
• 0:07
Speaker 1: to twenty and nineteen and we're going to check out
• 0:11
Speaker 1: an article from The New York Times about Glaine Maxwell
• 0:15
Speaker 1: and her Terremar Project. So let's dive right in. This
• 0:21
Speaker 1: article was authored by Jacob Bernstein, headline, whatever happened to
• 0:27
Speaker 1: Glaine Maxwell's plan to save the oceans? The philanthropic works
• 0:31
Speaker 1: of Jeffrey Epstein's ex girlfriend co conspirator never materialized. Now
• 0:37
Speaker 1: she is being sued by one of his survivors. Boy,
• 0:40
Speaker 1: how things have changed since twenty nineteen. Huh. In twenty fourteen,
• 0:49
Speaker 1: Gallaiine Maxwell spoke at a Council on Foreign Relations event
• 0:53
Speaker 1: in Washington, DC. She was there in her capacity as
• 0:57
Speaker 1: the founder of the Terremar Project and Ocean she had it,
• 1:00
Speaker 1: conservation group she started in twenty twelve. According to a
• 1:05
Speaker 1: CFR spokeswoman, Now I did an episode about the CFR
• 1:08
Speaker 1: recently and about their scumbag relationship scumbag behavior with Jeffrey Epstein,
• 1:14
Speaker 1: and it shouldn't shock anybody that Gallaine Maxwell was also
• 1:18
Speaker 1: involved with them as well. The CFR is one of
• 1:22
Speaker 1: the world's most prestigious nonprofit think tanks. Among its officers
• 1:27
Speaker 1: and directors then were David Rockefeller, one of the modern
• 1:30
Speaker 1: era's most revered philanthropists, Colin Powell, and Robert Rubin, the
• 1:36
Speaker 1: Secretary of the Treasury under Bill Clinton. A who's who
• 1:40
Speaker 1: of scumbags basically is what they're telling you. David Rockefeller, huh, yeah,
• 1:44
Speaker 1: his family share worked out well for everybody in this country.
• 1:48
Speaker 1: It shouldn't be a shock to see somebody that was
• 1:50
Speaker 1: hanging out with Bill Clinton on this either. And then
• 1:53
Speaker 1: Colin Powell, another guy that ran around with this whole
• 1:56
Speaker 1: squeaky clean image until the Iraq War camerolling around. The
• 2:03
Speaker 1: Terremar Project was an organization with an opaque website and
• 2:07
Speaker 1: a founder who happened to be the ex girlfriend, co conspirator, general,
• 2:11
Speaker 1: all around scusbag of Jeffrey Epstein, the mysterious money manager who,
• 2:15
Speaker 1: in addition to being one of the CFRs chairman circle
• 2:19
Speaker 1: donors for at least six years, had pleaded guilty in
• 2:23
Speaker 1: two thousand and eight to state charges of soliciting prostitution
• 2:27
Speaker 1: from a minor. Now Epstein wasn't just a member of
• 2:31
Speaker 1: the CFR. He was one of the CFR's chairman circle donors,
• 2:36
Speaker 1: meaning Epstein was doning a donating a ton of money
• 2:39
Speaker 1: to the CFR for sure. Now, in the article we
• 2:42
Speaker 1: read earlier, we heard that the CFR donated the money
• 2:46
Speaker 1: that they received from Epstein. But again, why are you
• 2:50
Speaker 1: even accepting this money in the first place. Mister Epstein
• 2:58
Speaker 1: spent the next year in county jail, becoming a symbol
• 3:01
Speaker 1: of the super rich getting away with crimes that seem
• 3:04
Speaker 1: likely to send ordinary prison people to prison for far longer.
• 3:08
Speaker 1: Oh seem to be. Guess what, folks, if you commit
• 3:11
Speaker 1: any of these crimes, you're going to prison forever. I
• 3:14
Speaker 1: promise you that there's not going to be any of
• 3:16
Speaker 1: this nonsense. You're not gonna have left Kowitz behind the
• 3:19
Speaker 1: scenes working a deal out for you. You're not gonna have
• 3:22
Speaker 1: Dershowitz up there fighting for you. You're certainly not going
• 3:25
Speaker 1: to have ken Starr there. Miss Maxwell herself would be
• 3:31
Speaker 1: a party to confidential settlements with at least two other
• 3:35
Speaker 1: people who said that they were survivors of mister Epstein
• 3:38
Speaker 1: and that miss Maxwell was responsible for recruiting them. And
• 3:42
Speaker 1: we know now obviously with hindsight, as our friend that
• 3:45
Speaker 1: Glenn Maxwell ended up getting charged and convicted of those crimes.
• 3:52
Speaker 1: She has never been charged with any crime now she
• 3:54
Speaker 1: has and continues to deny wrongdoing. Like I said then
• 3:58
Speaker 1: and I'll say now, she was lying, she involved, and
• 4:01
Speaker 1: I was very comfortable saying it considering the evidence that
• 4:04
Speaker 1: we had presented to us. Look, if this was some
• 4:06
Speaker 1: kind of gray area and we didn't have a ton
• 4:08
Speaker 1: of evidence, I would never be running my mouth the
• 4:11
Speaker 1: way I am. I'm not one of these people that, oh,
• 4:13
Speaker 1: I'm sure of this, No way unless I have evidence
• 4:16
Speaker 1: to back up what I have to say, and something
• 4:18
Speaker 1: such as this. You know this is serious stuff, right,
• 4:22
Speaker 1: You're talking about sexual assault and ruining people's lives both ways,
• 4:26
Speaker 1: So you better be damn sure you know you're talking
• 4:28
Speaker 1: about We were unaware of the allegations against miss Maxwell
• 4:36
Speaker 1: at the time of the event, the CFR spokeswoman wrote
• 4:39
Speaker 1: in an email. The spokeswoman added that mister Epstein's membership
• 4:43
Speaker 1: was revoked in two thousand and nine because he did
• 4:45
Speaker 1: not pay his membership dues while in jail, not because
• 4:48
Speaker 1: he was in jail, not because he was a sex trafficker,
• 4:51
Speaker 1: not because he was a sick, fucking demented man. But
• 4:53
Speaker 1: because he didn't pay his dues, that's why he had
• 4:57
Speaker 1: his shit suspended. Imagine how many times have we talked
• 5:00
Speaker 1: talked about it. The only crime you can have if
• 5:02
Speaker 1: you're part of this group, the so called elite, is
• 5:05
Speaker 1: being broke. Mister Epstein, after facing new charges of sex
• 5:11
Speaker 1: trafficking this year, died in jail on August tenth, from
• 5:14
Speaker 1: what official said was suicide allegedly, and the Terremar project
• 5:19
Speaker 1: has been disbanded, though according to The New York Post,
• 5:22
Speaker 1: an FBI probe of it is underway. In the wake
• 5:26
Speaker 1: of mister Epstein's death, attention now turns to the woman,
• 5:30
Speaker 1: often as of being accused of being as enabler, the
• 5:33
Speaker 1: striving socialite, co conspirator, general, all around scusbag, bipedal serpent,
• 5:38
Speaker 1: daughter of a disgraced billionaire. Look. Maxwell was always one
• 5:44
Speaker 1: of the key targets here. She was always in the headlights,
• 5:48
Speaker 1: and the only people that weren't paying attention to that
• 5:51
Speaker 1: were the legacy media with their alleged and calling her
• 5:54
Speaker 1: a socialite when the writing was on the wall. Look
• 5:59
Speaker 1: how quickly the legacy media doesn't matter what their tilt is,
• 6:03
Speaker 1: look out quickly they're willing to talk shit about people
• 6:08
Speaker 1: or say somebody is this, that or the other thing?
• 6:11
Speaker 1: And then look how cautious they were when they were
• 6:13
Speaker 1: talking about Maxwell and Epstein and the people around them.
• 6:17
Speaker 1: I wonder why that is philanthropy is reputation management. According
• 6:23
Speaker 1: to tax filings from twenty thirteen to twenty seventeen, the
• 6:28
Speaker 1: organization gave no money in grants. A representative for the
• 6:32
Speaker 1: Taromar Project said in a statement that the work of
• 6:35
Speaker 1: the organization included help included helping organize the March for
• 6:39
Speaker 1: the Ocean in Washington, a campaign to reduce the number
• 6:42
Speaker 1: of littered cigarette butts, and publication of The Daily Catch,
• 6:46
Speaker 1: an oceanic conservation newsletter. The TerraMar Project also obtained a
• 6:52
Speaker 1: partnership with the luxury betting company Eve's delarm on, a
• 6:56
Speaker 1: collection of water inspired sheets, pillowcases, and comforters. Oh isn't
• 7:00
Speaker 1: that nice. That's jump into bed with Glenn Maxwell, because
• 7:04
Speaker 1: you know, there was no signs that she was a
• 7:07
Speaker 1: sick person. Really what it was? All the signs were there, folks.
• 7:13
Speaker 1: These people didn't care. Ow and Relly, you and Relly,
• 7:18
Speaker 1: excuse me? A British investment banker and society fixer, who
• 7:23
Speaker 1: encountered Miss Maxwell at several events over the decades. Though
• 7:26
Speaker 1: the charity, as she explained to him, sounded at least
• 7:29
Speaker 1: in part, to be a form of reputation management. And
• 7:34
Speaker 1: we already know that's what they did. They use these
• 7:37
Speaker 1: charities as a shield. They all do, every single one
• 7:39
Speaker 1: of them. Christopher Mason, a reporter and longtime friend of
• 7:44
Speaker 1: Miss Maxwell's, said he wondered if her primary motivation for
• 7:47
Speaker 1: starting the foundation was oceanic conservation or the conservation of
• 7:53
Speaker 1: Gleann Maxwell creating a respectable calling card for someone whose
• 7:58
Speaker 1: reputation was in jet This is the go to move
• 8:02
Speaker 1: for the so called delete right. Oh, you're having problems
• 8:04
Speaker 1: that build yourself a new reputation, You'll be fine. But
• 8:08
Speaker 1: I don't think it's going to work this time around.
• 8:10
Speaker 1: And I certainly don't think it was working when you
• 8:13
Speaker 1: were talking about the TerraMar project and it was in jeopardy.
• 8:19
Speaker 1: The day before mister Epstein's death, a trove of documents
• 8:22
Speaker 1: were released in connection with a defamation suit that Virginia
• 8:25
Speaker 1: Roberts filed against Miss Maxwell. Miss Roberts said that at
• 8:29
Speaker 1: age sixteen, she was recruited by Miss Maxwell and forced
• 8:33
Speaker 1: into being a sex slave. Miss Maxwell, called Miss Roberts
• 8:36
Speaker 1: a liar, was sued and settled in a deposition of
• 8:40
Speaker 1: former maintenance worker at mister Epstein's home describe Miss Maxwell's
• 8:43
Speaker 1: scouting scores of massage spas and parlors in Florida from
• 8:48
Speaker 1: Palm Beach to Jupiter from mister Epstein. A college student
• 8:52
Speaker 1: said she was scouted by Miss Maxwell and that she
• 8:55
Speaker 1: was punished by Miss Maxwell when she failed to sexually
• 8:58
Speaker 1: satisfy Epstein. Now Jennifer Areos has filed suit against Miss
• 9:03
Speaker 1: Maxwell and others, saying that she was recruited as a
• 9:06
Speaker 1: freshman in high school and raped by mister Epstein. Now,
• 9:10
Speaker 1: these are all allegations that we're all very familiar with
• 9:13
Speaker 1: at this point, being that we're in twenty twenty two now.
• 9:17
Speaker 1: But at the time when all of this stuff was
• 9:20
Speaker 1: coming out, it was coming out furiously, folks and fast,
• 9:24
Speaker 1: so it was hard to keep, you know, an account
• 9:27
Speaker 1: of who was doing what and who was blamed accusing
• 9:30
Speaker 1: who of what. So it was a pretty confusing time.
• 9:35
Speaker 1: Miss Maxwell had negligible experience as an environmental activist. Her
• 9:40
Speaker 1: preferred method of ocean going was a border luxury yacht, which,
• 9:43
Speaker 1: according to mister Mason, was for her pre eminent symbol
• 9:46
Speaker 1: of status and freedom. It was through Boting that she
• 9:50
Speaker 1: drew her inspiration for the foundation. You know, what's with
• 9:54
Speaker 1: all of these oligarchs, ours and otherwise, with these yachts,
• 9:57
Speaker 1: Like it's this big symbol. First of all, why don't
• 10:00
Speaker 1: you go on your yacht and sail it directly into
• 10:03
Speaker 1: the next hurricane. You'll be doing the whole world a
• 10:06
Speaker 1: huge favor. She spent much of her time in the
• 10:10
Speaker 1: late nineteen eighties on the Lady Golaine, a nearly two
• 10:13
Speaker 1: hundred foot boat owned by her father, the media mogul
• 10:16
Speaker 1: Robert Maxwell. It had a jacuzzi, a sauna, a gym,
• 10:20
Speaker 1: and a private disco. Deep in debt, he built the
• 10:23
Speaker 1: pensions of thousands of his employees, and his body was
• 10:27
Speaker 1: discovered in the ocean off the Canary Islands where he
• 10:30
Speaker 1: had taken the Lady Golaine in nineteen ninety one. The
• 10:34
Speaker 1: death was ruled an accident. The family reportedly lost almost everything,
• 10:39
Speaker 1: including the boat. Now again, I don't know if it
• 10:42
Speaker 1: was an accident or not. When you're dealing with that
• 10:45
Speaker 1: kind of pressure, as far as you owe a bunch
• 10:48
Speaker 1: of money. Yeah, sure, the chances are you could kill yourself,
• 10:51
Speaker 1: but you're also dealing with a man who was an
• 10:54
Speaker 1: asset for several different intelligence agencies. And if you're going
• 10:58
Speaker 1: down in flames for financial crimes, chances are you're willing
• 11:03
Speaker 1: to give up your sources and contacts and everything else
• 11:06
Speaker 1: to prosecutors for a more lenient deal. So again, I'm
• 11:11
Speaker 1: very agnostic when it comes to Robert Maxwell's death. Miss Maxwell,
• 11:16
Speaker 1: then living in New York, became known for her romantic
• 11:19
Speaker 1: relationship with Epstein, Oh please spare me no romance there,
• 11:24
Speaker 1: who was an all purpose advisor for the billionaire Les Wexner.
• 11:28
Speaker 1: Mister Wexner said in a letter of the Wexner Foundation
• 11:30
Speaker 1: that in two thousand and seven he discovered misappropriation of
• 11:34
Speaker 1: his funds by mister Epstein. One of Epstein's duties was
• 11:38
Speaker 1: handling contracts for the Limitless, a mammoth yacht bought by
• 11:42
Speaker 1: mister Wexner and designed by Bannenberg and Raoul. Miss Maxwell
• 11:47
Speaker 1: was eager to get a boored when it was finished,
• 11:50
Speaker 1: but never did. According to Craig Deafoya, its former captain. Oh,
• 11:54
Speaker 1: of course, have to get her CDs gross hands on
• 11:57
Speaker 1: it as well, let me go and check out let's luxury.
• 12:03
Speaker 1: Glen would always call me and say, I'm coming down
• 12:05
Speaker 1: to use the boat with some friends. I'd always tell her,
• 12:08
Speaker 1: I have to call the owner. I can't just let
• 12:10
Speaker 1: you on the boat. And she would never show up,
• 12:12
Speaker 1: said mister Tafoya, who took this to me, And she
• 12:15
Speaker 1: never got permission. She did that half a dozen times.
• 12:19
Speaker 1: And in talking to a guy who worked for Bannenberg,
• 12:22
Speaker 1: he said she does that all the time. She does
• 12:24
Speaker 1: it when she's in front of all of her girlfriends
• 12:27
Speaker 1: and wants to brag she can go use someone's yacht,
• 12:30
Speaker 1: her Plan B. And you know it's typical of these people, right,
• 12:34
Speaker 1: they're very name droppy. They can't you know, it's not
• 12:38
Speaker 1: good enough for them that they have their own millions.
• 12:40
Speaker 1: They have to drop the names of their buddies as well.
• 12:44
Speaker 1: Ted Waite is the tech billionaire co founder of Gateway Incorporated,
• 12:48
Speaker 1: who became miss Maxwell's boyfriend after she and Epstein broke up.
• 12:52
Speaker 1: They didn't break up. Plan B, the yacht miss Maxwell
• 12:56
Speaker 1: helped them obtain and renovate, brought her to Croatia and
• 12:59
Speaker 1: this out the France. His check writing helped secure her
• 13:02
Speaker 1: place at conferences as they replaced benefit galas as the
• 13:07
Speaker 1: first tier social gatherings of the late aughts that was
• 13:11
Speaker 1: essential to getting the Tara Mar project off the ground.
• 13:15
Speaker 1: So Ted Waits was this billionaire dude that Maxwell was
• 13:18
Speaker 1: shacked up with after her and Epstein had their quote
• 13:21
Speaker 1: unquote falling out, which really was just a reevaluation of
• 13:25
Speaker 1: their you know, organization. So she went off and met
• 13:29
Speaker 1: up with Ted Waits ended up being his chick his
• 13:33
Speaker 1: girlfriend is whatever, and obviously was using his checkbook to
• 13:38
Speaker 1: you know, support her gallivanting when met When he met
• 13:47
Speaker 1: Miss Maxwell, mister Waite had a stringy, graying ponytail and
• 13:51
Speaker 1: wore drab suits. After she became his girlfriend, mister Waite
• 13:55
Speaker 1: shaved his head, starting wearing wearing tinted glasses and became
• 13:59
Speaker 1: a virtualdappelganger Adjason statum. Oh well, in that case, there
• 14:04
Speaker 1: was even a submarine put aboard Plan B that Miss
• 14:07
Speaker 1: Maxwell knew how to pilot. She began deep sea diving,
• 14:10
Speaker 1: which she said is how she discovered human made debris
• 14:15
Speaker 1: all over the ocean floor. You know, where are the
• 14:18
Speaker 1: giant squid when you need them? A large ass Kraken
• 14:22
Speaker 1: to grab the submarine boy that had been nice. Four
• 14:26
Speaker 1: people remember Miss Maxwell talking of journeying to the center
• 14:29
Speaker 1: of the Pacific Ocean in an attempt to find She
• 14:32
Speaker 1: said a Millia Earhart's plane and body. Oh yeah, because
• 14:36
Speaker 1: the body is still going to be there after all
• 14:38
Speaker 1: of these years. No sea creatures would have gotten to
• 14:41
Speaker 1: it by now, Miss Maxwell. The conviction of mister Epstein
• 14:45
Speaker 1: and subsequently bad press for Miss Maxwell war on mister Wade.
• 14:49
Speaker 1: Friend said in twenty ten they broke up, but mister
• 14:52
Speaker 1: Wade had donated at least ten million to the William J.
• 14:55
Speaker 1: Clinton Foundation that helped Miss Maxwell keep some access to
• 14:59
Speaker 1: the world of the Clintons. She used connections forged at
• 15:03
Speaker 1: their summits to help with the twenty twelve start of
• 15:06
Speaker 1: the Terra Mar project. So this is right here from
• 15:09
Speaker 1: the New York Times itself. Folks, Where are all of
• 15:12
Speaker 1: the people, all of the weird ass blue check marks
• 15:15
Speaker 1: that want to talk about the Epstein case to leverage
• 15:18
Speaker 1: it for their own you know, political bend. Where are
• 15:22
Speaker 1: they when they're talking about this in the Clintons. It's
• 15:27
Speaker 1: funny you can always tell who has interest in actually
• 15:29
Speaker 1: blowing this case wide open, and those who only have
• 15:32
Speaker 1: interest of using it as a political mallet to bash
• 15:36
Speaker 1: over the heads of their rivals. And the people that
• 15:38
Speaker 1: are only using this case as a political tool, You
• 15:41
Speaker 1: people can get fucked too. All oceans are interconnected and related.
• 15:47
Speaker 1: It's all one c Miss Maxwell said to a reporter
• 15:50
Speaker 1: for the Mother Nature Network in a twenty twelve interview.
• 15:55
Speaker 1: It's the one major area of the world where we
• 15:57
Speaker 1: can be one species with one home and one common destiny.
• 16:01
Speaker 1: He okay, sure, Miss Maxwell. The Terremar website trumpeted the
• 16:08
Speaker 1: support of well connected founding citizens like Richard Branson, a
• 16:13
Speaker 1: maritime assolene, a founder of the luxury coffee table books
• 16:17
Speaker 1: publisher that bears her name. Oh good old Richard Branson.
• 16:21
Speaker 1: Huh another scuzz back. He just bought a property here
• 16:25
Speaker 1: in Las Vegas, the Old hard Rock, and they turned
• 16:28
Speaker 1: it into the Virgin Resorts. In twenty thirteen, Miss Maxwell
• 16:34
Speaker 1: went to Rakschevik and participated in a conference for the
• 16:37
Speaker 1: Arctic Circle. Scott Borgerson, a former Coastguard officer and a
• 16:41
Speaker 1: one time Council on Foreign Relations fellow, also attended. He
• 16:45
Speaker 1: also appeared with her at the twenty fourteen talk for
• 16:48
Speaker 1: the CFR, and, according to numerous friends of miss Maxwell,
• 16:52
Speaker 1: became her boyfriend. Three of those friends said she later
• 16:55
Speaker 1: described him to them as a Navy seal. Mister Borgerson
• 16:59
Speaker 1: declined to you know, what's the deal with everybody thinking
• 17:02
Speaker 1: that their Navy seals. Yeah, Jeffrey Epstein running around with
• 17:05
Speaker 1: these medals on got borgerouson acting like he's a Navy seal.
• 17:08
Speaker 1: Bro is in the Coast Guard. Nothing wrong with that.
• 17:11
Speaker 1: A lot of honor to be in the Coast Guard.
• 17:13
Speaker 1: Why are you faking the funk? Though around that time
• 17:17
Speaker 1: the Clinton Global Initiative announced a commitment to action from
• 17:20
Speaker 1: the TerraMar Project, little exists that it amounted to much.
• 17:26
Speaker 1: The fact that they were in bed together should be enough,
• 17:29
Speaker 1: and the fact that this is in the New York
• 17:30
Speaker 1: Times itself, and the New York Times isn't going hard
• 17:33
Speaker 1: here and really looking to solidify things as far as
• 17:38
Speaker 1: Clinton's involvement, again tells you everything you need to know.
• 17:41
Speaker 1: And that's why I just don't trust anything they have
• 17:43
Speaker 1: to say. For the most part, the tax returns of
• 17:47
Speaker 1: the Taromar Project show that between twenty and thirteen and
• 17:51
Speaker 1: twenty and seventeen, the organization received one hundred and ninety
• 17:55
Speaker 1: six thousand in public support and paid out in various
• 17:58
Speaker 1: expenses more than six hundred thousand dollars, requiring loans from
• 18:03
Speaker 1: its president, Miss Maxwell, totaling five hundred and forty nine
• 18:07
Speaker 1: thousand and ninety three cents. Yeah, just you know, some
• 18:10
Speaker 1: pocket change for Glenn Maxwell. The filings do not provide
