- 1:51Speaker 8: were asking her different things, and he's like, I don't
- 1:53Speaker 8: know who that is or who is that. She'd never
- 1:55Speaker 8: watched Shoshank Redemption. Yeah yeah, well no, just like not
- 2:01Speaker 8: even just watching movies, but liked knowing that people a
- 2:04Speaker 8: or knowing people are a frame of reference on something.
- 2:06Speaker 8: So you were born ninety four, Okay.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Don't make that noise that's still young.
- 2:13Speaker 6: Yeah, noise I don't think that's what the noise is.
- 2:17Speaker 6: Noise noise, Yeah, I was. The noise is, Wow, you
- 2:21Speaker 6: are young.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Yeah, she's a good decade people.
- 2:24Speaker 2: Yeah, just making sure I'm not paranoid.

- 2:38Speaker 8: She's born in ninety four. I graduated high school in
- 2:41Speaker 8: ninety five. And yet we hang out, we talk and whatever,

- 2:46Speaker 8: age gap, right.
- 2:50Speaker 6: You know what I mean?
- 2:51Speaker 1: Yeah, because weather I'm saying, like when you're when you're.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Working with people headlines.
- 2:55Speaker 8: Yeah, and sometimes depending on the position that that person
- 2:58Speaker 8: is in. Like I was talking to one of the
- 3:00Speaker 8: people who's a manager around here, and I'm significantly older
- 3:03Speaker 8: than they are, but like you see them as like
- 3:05Speaker 8: an authority.
- 3:07Speaker 6: Figure in some weird way.
- 3:08Speaker 2: You're like, wait a.
- 3:09Speaker 7: Minute, how did that work?
- 3:10Speaker 6: You're just a child?
- 3:11Speaker 7: Yeah, what do you know?
- 3:13Speaker 1: What's why I sitting here entertaining you?

- 3:37Speaker 8: last little go around that we have with you. We
- 3:39Speaker 8: want to see what you know. Yeah, I got a
- 3:41Speaker 8: couple of questions. I think Gina came up with a couple. Greg,
- 3:45Speaker 8: can you come up with a couple of course, breaking news.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Greg Gory had to take a major work. Not since
- 3:51Speaker 1: the Fall of Rome has there been this much devastation.
- 3:58Speaker 1: And now back to the.
- 4:00Speaker 3: What do You show?
- 4:01Speaker 1: And I'm thinking about it more.
- 4:02Speaker 8: Maybe it's because I just don't ever really consider I
- 4:04Speaker 8: just figure like we're all here, we're all working on
- 4:07Speaker 8: the show, and I don't ever really think about like
- 4:10Speaker 8: how old someone is compared to some other person unless
- 4:13Speaker 8: you're reminded, right like that what the references?
- 4:18Speaker 6: You know?
- 4:18Speaker 1: You're like, wait, you don't know that, Yeah, it's there,
- 4:21Speaker 1: the great words of Nickelback.

- 4:30Speaker 8: ninety four that she was born. Yeah, and yeah, we're
- 4:34Speaker 8: just talking about different things and sea baths brought up.
- 4:36Speaker 8: I think it was, Hey, let's do this uh generation
- 4:40Speaker 8: gap trivia thing with with with Morgan just ask her
- 4:44Speaker 8: a couple of different questions.

- 14:34Speaker 1: I don't know Ed McMahon. Oh yeah, never heard of him?
- 14:38Speaker 4: Never heard?
- 14:39Speaker 6: Well, I'm sure I don't know if you have a
- 14:42Speaker 6: retention problem as if just under a rock awareness.
- 14:46Speaker 2: You guys can call me dumb.
- 14:47Speaker 1: It's okay, I don't think you're dumb.
- 14:50Speaker 5: But some of it is just so surpris like I
- 14:52Speaker 5: grew up like in the eighties and nineties, and I

- 14:57Speaker 5: I don't know, it's just around exactly.
- 15:00Speaker 9: Yeah, for sure, because you were exposed to the game Boy.
- 15:03Speaker 9: Perfect example, you had a game Boy to come up
- 15:05Speaker 9: with the answer.
- 15:06Speaker 8: You didn't do as bad as I thought she got. Yeah,
- 15:09Speaker 8: there was a couple a couple of things that are
- 15:10Speaker 8: surprisingly like, Yeah, that was that was pretty good. That
- 15:14Speaker 8: was pretty good.
- 15:15Speaker 2: Well, that was really fun.
- 15:17Speaker 7: It just makes us feel one step closer to the groove, right, Yeah.
- 15:21Speaker 2: I feel young though, So thank you guys.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Hey, what do you call a big jack lantern? Was

- 15:44Speaker 1: be a part of the show. You can call in
- 15:46Speaker 1: eight seven seven forty four, what he this?
- 15:47Speaker 13: You know?
- 15:48Speaker 6: Text that you know too?
- 15:50Speaker 1: Two two nine eight seven.
- 15:53Speaker 8: You can also send us emails email at the woodieshow
- 15:55Speaker 8: dot com, hit us up on social media at the
- 15:58Speaker 8: Woody Show.
- 15:59Speaker 6: Look for us there. It was a follow up.
- 16:01Speaker 8: Other people they hear things and they try to knok
- 16:05Speaker 8: us out to the management. And so you'll go to
- 16:08Speaker 8: the radio station website and you'll see where it says
- 16:10Speaker 8: contact us and they send their email there. Now, the
- 16:15Speaker 8: thing is a lot of times people are sending other
- 16:16Speaker 8: stuff there, requests or things they want the person on
- 16:19Speaker 8: the air. They think that's the way to get a
- 16:20Speaker 8: hold of, you know, whoever they're hearing on the radio.
- 16:22Speaker 8: So it gets copied to everybody. And so that's where
- 16:25Speaker 8: we get a lot of these emails for a round
- 16:27Speaker 8: of the what.
- 16:27Speaker 6: Do you show?
- 16:27Speaker 1: Crossroad?
- 16:28Speaker 6: Now?
- 16:29Speaker 10: Oh yeah, I'm saying, gret I do.
- 16:44Speaker 1: All right, Well, so we have this, we have this
- 16:47Speaker 1: segment because you mean, it's not all fans of what
- 16:51Speaker 1: we're doing around here. People love to complain.
- 16:54Speaker 8: Anybody who's been on social media or anybody's got a
- 16:57Speaker 8: job where you deal with the public, you know how
- 16:58Speaker 8: dumb the complaints are. Every once in a while we'll
- 17:01Speaker 8: get something that's you know, fair, like fair you know,
- 17:04Speaker 8: constructive criticism or what. Most of stuff is just ridiculous
- 17:08Speaker 8: because people half hear stuff they want to talk about
- 17:11Speaker 8: how they're never listening again. They want to make sure
- 17:12Speaker 8: everybody knows they're never gonna listen. They're gonna tell all
- 17:14Speaker 8: their friends or whoever whatever's gonna go on.
- 17:15Speaker 6: Oh good for you.
- 17:16Speaker 1: And it's crazy that happens to radio, you know, happen
- 17:19Speaker 1: to TV too.
- 17:20Speaker 9: Off.
- 17:21Speaker 1: I'm sure it does.
- 17:22Speaker 8: But the people who are on the TV station, they're
- 17:24Speaker 8: not the ones directly getting it goes to anyway, so
- 17:28Speaker 8: we figure it is just healthier. Sometimes it's just a
- 17:31Speaker 8: toxic relationship. If you guys can't get yourself to quit listening,
- 17:34Speaker 8: we see it like.
- 17:35Speaker 6: For you, I don't listen to you guys anymore. But
- 17:37Speaker 6: yet we see your text every day.
- 17:39Speaker 2: Why are you still criticizing?
- 17:41Speaker 1: So some come to what do you show?
- 17:42Speaker 6: Email?
- 17:43Speaker 8: Others come to that can set the station feedback, where
- 17:45Speaker 8: you go onto the website and you click contact us.
- 17:48Speaker 8: That's where Lauren sent hers, and the subject was concerning programming,
- 17:53Speaker 8: and they always ask would you like to reply? She says, yes,
- 17:56Speaker 8: here it is to whom you may concern. I am
- 17:58Speaker 8: writing after listening to your state this morning and feeling
- 18:01Speaker 8: genuinely alarmed by what I heard.
- 18:03Speaker 1: The quote. Morning Wood Show ran a contest.
- 18:07Speaker 8: In which a listener had to call in, be deliberately disconnected,
- 18:10Speaker 8: and then attempt to get back through, while the host
- 18:12Speaker 8: instructed the rest of the audience to tie up the
- 18:15Speaker 8: phone lines to prevent that person from succeeding.
- 18:18Speaker 6: Anybody want to try to guess how do you take
- 18:21Speaker 6: an issue with?
- 18:21Speaker 1: Oh? Okay, okay, okay, there's some kind of like disability thing,
- 18:25Speaker 1: like some people don't have a redial button.
- 18:27Speaker 6: Okay.
- 18:29Speaker 8: On fairness form of this isn't just an uninspired gimmick.
- 18:37Speaker 8: It's actively encouraging a harmful dynamic. Promoting a scenario where
- 18:41Speaker 8: the majority is told to work against a single individual
- 18:44Speaker 8: is a clear example of normalizing bullying. That should not
- 18:49Speaker 8: be considered entertainment. Certainly should not be something any station
- 18:52Speaker 8: wants to model for its listeners. What do you think,
- 18:55Speaker 8: survivorquid game? We are already living in a society struggling
- 18:59Speaker 8: with division and hostility. There is no need to amplify
- 19:02Speaker 8: it for the sake of a contest. There are countless
- 19:04Speaker 8: ways to design interactive games that bring listeners together rather
- 19:07Speaker 8: than pit them against one another. Imagine encouraging the audience
- 19:10Speaker 8: to help a contest and succeed instead of deliberately sabotaging
- 19:13Speaker 8: that not only would that avoid promoting negative behavior, it
- 19:17Speaker 8: would also reflect positively on your station and foster a
- 19:20Speaker 8: sense of community rather than exclusion. I sincerely hope this
- 19:23Speaker 8: message reaches someone in decision making position who will address
- 19:27Speaker 8: the segment, reconsider the direction of the programming, and treat
- 19:29Speaker 8: this as an opportunity for growth.
- 19:31Speaker 2: That's hilarious.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Please hold these educate ourselves.
- 19:34Speaker 8: Please hold those involved accountable, and strive for content and
- 19:37Speaker 8: uplifts rather than undermines. We can all do better, and
- 19:40Speaker 8: I hope your station chooses to. That is from Lauren.
- 19:42Speaker 1: You guys, we lost Lauren, right, Holy crap, Lauren.
- 19:49Speaker 10: Lauren is worried it's.
- 19:50Speaker 6: Gonna be this.
- 19:56Speaker 1: You guys love to hold hands and hugs.
- 20:00Speaker 6: Everybody lives.
- 20:01Speaker 1: I want to do the butterfly kisses content only with consent.
- 20:05Speaker 1: Let's see the swamp.
- 20:09Speaker 6: Okay? Yeah?
- 20:12Speaker 1: Station feedback once again?
- 20:13Speaker 8: Uh from court subject an educator with a formal inquiry
- 20:21Speaker 8: slash concern.
- 20:22Speaker 6: You you need a hero? Okay?
- 20:27Speaker 8: Reply requested. Yes, I am struggling to find the right
- 20:30Speaker 8: place to begin. Outrage is the word people throw around
- 20:33Speaker 8: too easily, but it's the only accurate term. I accurate
- 20:37Speaker 8: term for how I felt listening to your show recently.
- 20:40Speaker 8: Cea Bass stated that Miley Cyrus is a quote, just
- 20:44Speaker 8: a lesbian for attention.
- 20:47Speaker 1: That was oh, I said she did something one time.
- 20:49Speaker 8: I genuinely could not believe such a comment was broadcast
- 20:52Speaker 8: on the air. I am not a lesbian myself, but
- 20:55Speaker 8: I'm a lifelong smiler.
- 20:58Speaker 7: Oh, is that what they called Miley Cyrus?
- 20:59Speaker 2: Fans Smiley?
- 21:00Speaker 6: Is that right? Right?
- 21:03Speaker 8: And what he said wasn't just defensive, It was dismissive, insulting,
- 21:06Speaker 8: and rooted in ignorance. Reducing someone's identity to publicly stunt,
- 21:11Speaker 8: to a publicity stunt is not humor.
- 21:14Speaker 6: It's dehumanizing.
- 21:15Speaker 8: It implies that a woman's identity or sexuality is a
- 21:18Speaker 8: performance designed to entertain or manipulate others.
- 21:21Speaker 1: What happened with Madonna kissed Britney Spears? Was that a
- 21:23Speaker 1: real lesbian thing?
- 21:24Speaker 7: Or I think they were really exploring Jenu you were.
- 21:26Speaker 6: Lesbians for like four seconds.
- 21:27Speaker 1: They just waited till the musical wars to do it.
- 21:29Speaker 6: Yep.
- 21:30Speaker 8: Whether the comment was about Miley specifically or reveals a
- 21:33Speaker 8: broader issue with how Seabas's views or treats lesbians in general.
- 21:37Speaker 8: The result is the same. It was harmful, disrespectful, and
- 21:40Speaker 8: entirely inappropriate. Surprised I got broadcasts and this wasn't an
- 21:43Speaker 8: isolated moment. During a traffick, Greg mentioned there was some
- 21:49Speaker 8: carpet in.
- 21:51Speaker 6: And what do you?
- 21:52Speaker 1: Followed up with quote, don't worry every.
- 21:57Speaker 6: Worry everyone.
- 22:01Speaker 1: The Indigo girls are on their way and the super
- 22:04Speaker 1: and they'll have that carpet munched.
- 22:06Speaker 9: Up in.
- 22:09Speaker 13: That.
- 22:09Speaker 1: They wouldn't repeat that job.
- 22:11Speaker 6: Sometimes it's Melissa that wasn't clever.
- 22:15Speaker 8: It was a tired, crude stereotype, the kind of lazy
- 22:18Speaker 8: homophobia that should have died decades ago. Is this.
- 22:23Speaker 6: This person?
- 22:25Speaker 9: This is the most offensive because this person feels like
- 22:28Speaker 9: they have to speak on behalf of another community when
- 22:33Speaker 9: they say, oh, the community is not shroy enough to
- 22:35Speaker 9: speak on their own app.
- 22:36Speaker 8: What pushed me to write was Seabass's comment about Miley,
- 22:39Speaker 8: But it's part of a larger pattern. It wasn't long
- 22:41Speaker 8: ago that would he criticized her voice on the air
- 22:44Speaker 8: another unnecessary and mean spirited Jeb No, I didn't.
- 22:47Speaker 1: I just said I didn't like her. I don't like
- 22:48Speaker 1: her voice. Opinion Barcelet voices.
- 22:52Speaker 8: Miley Cyrus is an extraordinary artist with a stunning voice. Agreed,
- 22:56Speaker 8: the way your hosts talk about her comes across his petty,
- 22:59Speaker 8: uninformed in front beneath the standards any.
- 23:01Speaker 6: Radio station should uphold.
- 23:02Speaker 8: Any radio I am a teacher, and every day I
- 23:04Speaker 8: work to help children understand empathy, respect, and kindness. They
- 23:08Speaker 8: grasps these concepts easily, Yet somehow, grown adults of the
- 23:11Speaker 8: platform and an audience seemed to find those basic principles
- 23:14Speaker 8: out of reach.
- 23:15Speaker 6: The basic principle of liking every singer in the world
- 23:18Speaker 6: or is deeply concerning.
- 23:21Speaker 8: You have an opportunity and responsibility to contribute to a
- 23:23Speaker 8: culture of respect.
- 23:25Speaker 1: Address this and take it seriously.
- 23:27Speaker 6: You guys, we.
- 23:28Speaker 1: Lost Kart kar Kark. I'm assuming it's Courtney.
- 23:34Speaker 10: Yam. Sorry.
- 23:44Speaker 9: Fun facts that I was at a ice cream shop
- 23:48Speaker 9: the same time as Noah Siris Dion's.
- 23:52Speaker 1: That's so cool.
- 23:53Speaker 13: In fact, on the Miley Smiley thing, which is that
- 23:56Speaker 13: Miley's real name, I don't know if you know. This
- 23:58Speaker 13: is destiny of her dad growing up called her Smiley
- 24:02Speaker 13: because she was so smiley and happy all the time,
- 24:04Speaker 13: and then that's how she got the name Miley.
- 24:05Speaker 1: So there you go.
- 24:06Speaker 7: Fun fact.
- 24:07Speaker 1: She's Dolly Parton's goddaughter. Yep, neat. And I think they
- 24:10Speaker 1: called her smile because she kisses girls on their smile.
- 24:13Speaker 6: Right.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Here we go vertical.
- 24:17Speaker 10: So this one sent to you.
- 24:20Speaker 6: Great, Here comes another letter.
- 24:22Speaker 1: I'm the teacher, he look, so do I all right?
- 24:26Speaker 10: What do you show?
- 24:27Speaker 1: Email?
- 24:27Speaker 6: Email?
- 24:27Speaker 1: They show that commist is from Josh subject Greg Gory.
- 24:31Speaker 8: No, I'm writing because I'm genuinely disgusted by the subliminal
- 24:36Speaker 8: messaging that keeps coming from Greg Gory has gotten to
- 24:38Speaker 8: the point where I am contemplating not listening anymore. His
- 24:42Speaker 8: constant glorification of plastic surgery and his bragging about quote
- 24:45Speaker 8: looking sickly thin is not only tone deaf, it's downright
- 24:48Speaker 8: harmful to my children.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Look slim.
- 24:51Speaker 6: Look up the words subliminal word.
- 24:53Speaker 1: I thought you were going to talk about his gay agenda. Yeah,
- 24:56Speaker 1: he's turned your kids.
- 24:57Speaker 8: If you want to tak about subliminal yeah, let's discuss
- 24:59Speaker 8: the gay agen your kids.
- 25:01Speaker 1: This is.
- 25:04Speaker 8: I'm a father, and I'm seriously worried about the impact
- 25:07Speaker 8: Greg's ignorance could have on my daughter. Kids absorb more
- 25:11Speaker 8: than we realize. The last thing I want is for
- 25:13Speaker 8: my daughter to hear someone on the radio celebrating being
- 25:15Speaker 8: underweight or obsessing over cosmetic procedures.
- 25:19Speaker 1: He wants her to look better.
- 25:20Speaker 6: Is bad. I'm sorry.
- 25:22Speaker 8: I choose to not sit id Ale while public platform
- 25:25Speaker 8: reinforces the kind of toxic thinking that can easily contribute
- 25:28Speaker 8: to body image issues or even an eating disorder. The
- 25:32Speaker 8: way Greg's about Greg brags about being skinny and getting
- 25:35Speaker 8: botox shows a complete lack of awareness and respect for
- 25:38Speaker 8: your audience. Okay, and I can only imagine how cancer
- 25:41Speaker 8: patients feel.
- 25:42Speaker 6: Listening to your show.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Okay, what about tape on patients? I expect better from
- 25:48Speaker 1: a station with such.
- 25:49Speaker 6: A wide audience. See, this logic is so flawed. If
- 25:52Speaker 6: you have some sort of body issue, you can change
- 25:56Speaker 6: it with cosmetic surgery. It's called the glories of medicine. Guys.
- 26:04Speaker 1: Unfortunately we lost Josh.
- 26:07Speaker 10: Maybe maybe he's considered he's thinking about it.
- 26:10Speaker 1: Yeah, but just in case, Josh, because she decidedly.
- 26:16Speaker 4: I could all at the end of the.
- 26:20Speaker 6: Well, there you go.
- 26:20Speaker 1: There's there's the one show Crossroads.
- 26:22Speaker 10: Everybody.
- 26:24Speaker 6: Yeah, the people are well spokan though, that's good. Oh man,
- 26:28Speaker 6: I literally there were tears with the uh, the.
- 26:32Speaker 1: Indigo girl, We get that box out of the road.
- 26:35Speaker 1: Thanks for reminding of our hilarious joke.
- 26:37Speaker 8: During a traffic report, Greg mentioned carpet in the road
- 26:40Speaker 8: and what he followed up with quote, don't worry everyone.
- 26:44Speaker 8: Oh my god, indigo girls are on their way with
- 26:46Speaker 8: a Subaru and they'll have that carpet munched up in
- 26:49Speaker 8: no time.
- 26:51Speaker 6: Oh that's fun.
- 26:53Speaker 1: No, all right, we're going to take a break. We've
- 26:56Speaker 1: got some more what you show for you next, Hang on,
- 26:58Speaker 1: show back in a minute.
