- Sue: I'm my thoughts about a video I just recorded that I'm requesting your input, should you wish to give, on an inspirational phrase or affirmation and or group of four five words that may be unrelated other than you putting them in a list to be my foundation for creating an improvisation as I do on my two music playlists, Confirmation with a Blue Jay Corvette. And the idea behind this post is a summary of recognizing how important self-discipline in your life is. It's not about the routine, you know, where you're getting a coffee at 9.07 and then on to the next thing at 9.12 or whatever. It's more about the consistency in which you show up for yourself on all the tasks that you have to go through the course of your day. Now, I have experience as a public media broadcaster amongst them and as a musician throughout my life. But in terms of creating content, I'm not the one to have the experience with my career to bolster me of what bits of kit and such. I I know what I need. I just didn't get them organized. And this is the point. When I chose to record the video, I just chose to record via my smartphone. And do I own a pair of Lavalier mics? Yeah, I own several pairs. Did I think to put them into use for this little impromptu video? Nope. None. Didn't even cross the bow until just now. Those are the little missteps that are laughable and yes, they're in the scheme of things, not something you judge yourself against, but indicate the kind of lack of self-discipline that make it easy for negative energies to enter. And the first such occurrence of that negative energy will be me berating myself for doing what the opposite of what I should have done. And of course, I know through my 64 years of life, confirmation with the Blue Jay, that doing so is getting nobody anywhere except more upset. And why is my question. And I learned to not respond to these little mistakes. I own up them. And they're no different than any other mistakes that anybody else who's creating content at a newbie level, I think would be experiencing. They might not even own. anything more than a smartphone and there is no wrong way to record content. I'm just making the comment that when you are looking at disciplining your life and maintaining a consistency about yourself, it has to include a level of self-awareness at proofing your work and researching. things before you execute them just to make sure all the bits are in place that should be in place. And knowing full well that if you're going completely outside of your wheelhouse, that you now have an internet connection that if you've learned to frame the questions, you're going to get the info that you need to make that plan of action. All the time that you're doing that, you're creating. and you're creating in a positive energy, that's your life force. And as subtle as it seems, because along the way you're gonna be hitting some obstacles, like maybe you can't get the bit that you wanted to buy, and you're gonna have to figure out an alternative. All of that is still creating. And by engaging with that on a regular basis, you are creating your self-discipline. Because basically you're saying to yourself, I'm just gonna do things that make me feel more positive about my view of the world. And that starts with me in my own life. And knowing that you can't prevent the negatives from coming in, nor should you really, but that your ability to non-react in that situation is gonna help keep things balanced. It's not gonna ruin your day, or it's not gonna waste an hour of valuable time to you. It's not about being rigid. It's not about being on a minute-to-minute schedule. It's simply about showing up. And the task that I did this morning of creating this video, the back end of it, is quite clear that I have all the tools because I know I need to have the tools. I didn't have the mindset in place. Record the video at a professional level, which people who would know me would probably enjoy seeing. But it is real, it's unfiltered. And I think I will have edited it only to add a little music to it. but left it raw and unfiltered and wrinkled on all levels. I think so anyway. You may disagree. Be nice and polite in the comments if you wish to express yourself. Otherwise, I'm grateful. Here's the thing about self-discipline. When you lack it towards everything that you do in your life, you're opening yourself up to receiving a lot of negative energies for which you don't know how impactful they will be on you. And it might be really subtle. You might not even think the thing that happened was a negative thing for quite some time. So it's important to be aware of all the little changes. Confirmation with a woodpecker. Karma isn't an on-off switch, meaning that, you know, Just because you break the circuit, you're going to get back what you sent out. It's going to return to you in a way that might be more intense. After all, I've been sent out in the universe collecting all sorts of energies to it. Maintaining your self-awareness, keeping yourself positively engaged, is the best way forward. That's not just for you or me. It's for the entire universe. We're all having the universe flow through us, whether we realize it or not. That's my opinion. ones making the waves, choosing to do so at their own peril because they've thrown the universe into it as well. Confirmation with Lucius. Thank you for listening and thanks for sharing your energy. Being self-disciplined is a real key to the foundation of achieving a balanced spiritual, physical, and intellectual life, in my opinion. You just got to keep whittling at it each and every day. At least that's what I think. What do you think? Thanks again.
