- 0:07Speaker 1: Thik.
- 0:07Speaker 2: My name is Paul Barre. Welcome back in the tech path.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Let's get into it today. I do want to think
- 0:10Speaker 2: our sponsor and then it's I Trust Capital. This is
- 0:13Speaker 2: a place to go out and start your CRYPTOIRA. Now
- 0:15Speaker 2: there's some things you can do over there. You can
- 0:18Speaker 2: get into all coins on it. You can put your
- 0:19Speaker 2: bitcoin over there, even ethereum. But you can also go
- 0:22Speaker 2: into precious metals, so you can go gold, silver. The
- 0:25Speaker 2: cool thing is is you get to manage all of
- 0:27Speaker 2: this within your CRYPTOIRA and there's no fees on a
- 0:30Speaker 2: monthly basis. All you do is to pay a small
- 0:32Speaker 2: fee on your trades and you're in. That's where you
- 0:35Speaker 2: can set it up. And of course with this time
- 0:37Speaker 2: of year, everybody's kind of prep for your tax position.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Always consult your tax advisors, but this might be one
- 0:42Speaker 2: of the places that you want to check out. Just
- 0:44Speaker 2: check out I trustcapital dot com. Use our link down
- 0:47Speaker 2: below for one hundred dollars in funding as a reward.
- 0:51Speaker 2: All right, let's go over to a couple of the
- 0:52Speaker 2: topics today. I think there has been waiting on and
- 0:55Speaker 2: that is bitcoin falling below ninety five k after of
- 1:00Speaker 2: course shareholders vote against a bitcoin investment proposal. Now, there's
- 1:05Speaker 2: a lot to say about this, and I'll get into
- 1:07Speaker 2: some of the details on this, but this may not
- 1:10Speaker 2: have been as big of a deal as everybody was
- 1:13Speaker 2: trying to make it. However, it did have a little
- 1:15Speaker 2: bit of an impact on the market.
- 1:17Speaker 3: I want to go to a.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Clip real quick because this will get to a little
- 1:19Speaker 2: bit more around the presentation.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Take a look.
- 1:23Speaker 4: Shareholders did not approve any of the shareholder proposals.
- 1:26Speaker 5: The discussion of matters for shareholder consideration is now closed, so.
- 1:31Speaker 3: Pretty straightforward, they just rejected everything.
- 1:33Speaker 2: That's kind of the scenario that play into some of
- 1:35Speaker 2: these Fortune five hundred companies is that not a lot
- 1:38Speaker 2: gets through this process. Here was another statement here, Michael
- 1:41Speaker 2: Sailor's bitcoin presentation being played at the Microsoft shareholder meeting.
- 1:46Speaker 2: The fact that that occurred was pretty significant as well,
- 1:50Speaker 2: because I think that's another factor that you got to
- 1:52Speaker 2: look at, is how were they able to get in
- 1:55Speaker 2: to actually doing this in a major shareholder meeting like this.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Another factor that you kind of look at right now
- 2:02Speaker 2: is where and who else could be potentially putting bitcoin
- 2:06Speaker 2: onto their balance sheet. One of course is being looked
- 2:08Speaker 2: at right now, is Amazon urged by bitcoins as well
- 2:13Speaker 2: as Microsoft shore consider let me redo that all right,
- 2:18Speaker 2: So when you look at others that might be out there,
- 2:20Speaker 2: Amazon is being looked at and potentially being urged also
- 2:23Speaker 2: to buy bitcoins. So the proposals are going to come in,
- 2:26Speaker 2: I think, on a lot of these fortune five hundreds
- 2:28Speaker 2: throughout the rest of the bull run, it is most
- 2:31Speaker 2: likely going to occur because I think shareholders just in general,
- 2:34Speaker 2: we're going to say why aren't we having.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Exposure to this?
- 2:37Speaker 2: But it's going to be interesting. You look at the
- 2:39Speaker 2: amount of money that's setting out there in cash, which
- 2:42Speaker 2: is essentially losing it about seven eight percent a year, Apple, Google, Amazon, Microsoft,
- 2:47Speaker 2: all these ten companies hold eight hundred and eleven billion
- 2:50Speaker 2: in cash. Now, sure they're probably setting it in treasuries
- 2:54Speaker 2: and some sort of money markets and things of that nature.
- 2:56Speaker 2: But pretty much what this is doing is just setting
- 2:59Speaker 2: there rotting. So getting an end to some sort of
- 3:02Speaker 2: blockchain or at least digital asset, I think is the
- 3:05Speaker 2: way to go. And of course this is what everybody's
- 3:07Speaker 2: kind of pushing to, is the bitcoin side of things.
- 3:10Speaker 2: This is, of course what's happening over in Abudabi, and
- 3:13Speaker 2: that is one of the Bitcoin conferences. This, of course
- 3:16Speaker 2: is Eric Trump talking about the potential for bitcoin to
- 3:19Speaker 2: hit one million. So there's still a lot of faith
- 3:21Speaker 2: in the market. There's still a lot of faith from
- 3:24Speaker 2: a regulatory standpoint, in the political side of things, where
- 3:27Speaker 2: bitcoin is going to continue its rain as the number
- 3:30Speaker 2: one global digital asset. Also, you have to consider how
- 3:34Speaker 2: much was liquidated, nice eight hundred and thirteen million liquidated
- 3:38Speaker 2: in cryptocurrency market just in the past sixty minutes. Again,
- 3:41Speaker 2: we're starting to see some of the biggest moves that
- 3:43Speaker 2: we've seen in a while, biggest liquidations in history, near
- 3:48Speaker 2: nearly doubling the one billion liquidations we saw last week.
- 3:52Speaker 2: So there's going to be liquidations. This is how trading
- 3:56Speaker 2: is done. A lot of people are in these cycles.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Sure me, people are calling for is this the end
- 4:01Speaker 2: of the bull run? You know, personally, I just don't
- 4:04Speaker 2: think that is the case.
- 4:05Speaker 3: There's too much still ahead of it.
- 4:07Speaker 2: You've got the FOMC most likely that's going to soften
- 4:10Speaker 2: a little bit of the Wall Street money next week.
- 4:15Speaker 2: You've got, of course Trump going into office in January,
- 4:17Speaker 2: and you've got all of these strategies that are supposedly
- 4:21Speaker 2: going to be very positive for digital assets as a whole,
- 4:24Speaker 2: both from a regulatory standpoint, but bitcoin reserves, etc. All
- 4:28Speaker 2: that plays into where the market is going. However, the
- 4:31Speaker 2: all coin market has of course softened very quickly, so
- 4:35Speaker 2: we got a nice run up to around eighty something.
- 4:38Speaker 2: As you can see there's the high almost eighty What
- 4:40Speaker 2: was it?
- 4:40Speaker 3: Did it hit? Ninety eighty eight?
- 4:42Speaker 2: Was your high? And then of course the retracement that
- 4:46Speaker 2: we're seeing right now. And I think that's the thing
- 4:48Speaker 2: that everybody's concerned about. Is this run up right now
- 4:51Speaker 2: if you compare this back to the twenty first of
- 4:53Speaker 2: November right around Thanksgiving, right before it, and then the
- 4:57Speaker 2: run up we had during Thanksgiving and of course this
- 4:59Speaker 2: retlacement right now.
- 5:00Speaker 3: Let me know in the comments if you.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Guys think all coin season just took a step back
- 5:05Speaker 2: and this is a great opportunity or is this trouble
- 5:09Speaker 2: for all coins going into this final stage of the
- 5:12Speaker 2: bull run. Let me go to another clip I want
- 5:13Speaker 2: to get into, and this one is getting into how
- 5:16Speaker 2: companies should be owning bitcoin.
- 5:18Speaker 5: Take a look, when will the first US big companies
- 5:22Speaker 5: start the whole bitcoin on their balance sheets? And the
- 5:25Speaker 5: answer that is very simple. As soon as you get
- 5:27Speaker 5: stable coin regulation and custody regulation related to bitcoin. Now,
- 5:34Speaker 5: the Biden administration did a disservice to the industry by
- 5:37Speaker 5: vetoing SAB one twenty one, but you will, and my
- 5:41Speaker 5: prediction over the next two years, you'll have the ability
- 5:44Speaker 5: to hold bitcoin at a major money center US bank
- 5:48Speaker 5: and it will be compliant with the capital allocation you
- 5:53Speaker 5: know Basel three for money center banks around the world,
- 5:56Speaker 5: which will give every bank that's tied to the FED
- 5:58Speaker 5: the opportunity to hold bigcoin cooin for its clients in custody.
- 6:03Speaker 5: When that happens, it'll pave the way for corporations like
- 6:06Speaker 5: Amazon and Microsoft, etc. To own it as well.
- 6:09Speaker 2: So I think what Scara Mitchie's getting at is that
- 6:13Speaker 2: it is a trend coming down the track kind of scenario. Eventually,
- 6:16Speaker 2: it's just going to be undeniable to hold a digital
- 6:19Speaker 2: asset of sort. Necessarily could be Bitcoin, could be something
- 6:22Speaker 2: like ethereum, or even other assets that eventually could be
- 6:25Speaker 2: in that phase. Because remember all of this is still
- 6:28Speaker 2: possibly a year or two away before we start to
- 6:30Speaker 2: see some of this really kind of gaining some steam.
- 6:34Speaker 2: The other thing that is I think interesting here with
- 6:37Speaker 2: what he was getting at is there's going to be
- 6:39Speaker 2: a stability scenario that needs to play out. Yes, stable
- 6:44Speaker 2: coin regulation will help that, but I think it also
- 6:47Speaker 2: is going to get into a scenario of what's happening
- 6:50Speaker 2: over in Wall Street around the ETF.
- 6:53Speaker 3: So we continue to see the volatility of it.
- 6:55Speaker 2: Do we see bitcoin actually starting to kind of funnel
- 6:59Speaker 2: into a more stable asset. When that occurs, then yeah,
- 7:03Speaker 2: I think you're going to be dealing with banks, major corporations,
- 7:05Speaker 2: all sorts of people owning assets like that, because then
- 7:08Speaker 2: it could look like just any other kind of asset
- 7:10Speaker 2: that's out there. Another thing that you have to consider
- 7:13Speaker 2: is kind of the culture and style of bitcoin itself.
- 7:18Speaker 2: And what I'm getting at here is that there's going
- 7:21Speaker 2: to be an allure to it even with people that are
- 7:24Speaker 2: not necessarily bitcoiners but are interested in the technology.
- 7:29Speaker 3: Here is yacht su he's talking about that. Take a look.
- 7:32Speaker 4: I personally think that bitcoin is going to be worth
- 7:35Speaker 4: millions of dollars per bitcoin, not because it's going to
- 7:38Speaker 4: be used as a currency, but it's going to be
- 7:40Speaker 4: the ultimate status item. It's actually like an NFT. But
- 7:43Speaker 4: what's the difference between a one millionaire, three millionaire, five
- 7:46Speaker 4: millionaire actually reputationally not that much. Right, That's why we
- 7:50Speaker 4: have these terms of like billionaires suddenly. Right, as a
- 7:53Speaker 4: next category, what about all those people in between? What
- 7:56Speaker 4: I mean, they're worth the time, but somehow reputationally we
- 7:58Speaker 4: don't care about them as much. But then we say, oh,
- 8:01Speaker 4: but he owns this special piece of art, or this
- 8:03Speaker 4: guy ate a banana that was taped on the wall.
- 8:05Speaker 5: Right.
- 8:06Speaker 1: I like your idea too about you know, owning one
- 8:09Speaker 1: bitcoin is going to be such a powerful thing very soon.
- 8:13Speaker 4: I mean, there's more than twenty one million millionaires in
- 8:15Speaker 4: the world, that's for sure.
- 8:16Speaker 1: One hundred million bitcoiners around the world, let's say maybe
- 8:19Speaker 1: two hundred million. Now there's seven point six billion people.
- 8:23Speaker 4: The point is that I think we'll hit a point
- 8:25Speaker 4: in the future we're owning the one full bitcoin, we'll
- 8:29Speaker 4: have a status value that emerges more than the fragmented
- 8:32Speaker 4: value because it's something as a whole.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Right.
- 8:34Speaker 4: It's kind of how we look at art for instance,
- 8:35Speaker 4: as well. The whole collection is worth more than the
- 8:38Speaker 4: individual pieces when you put that together. Any we're not
- 8:41Speaker 4: there yet, but I think that's where it's going to go.
- 8:44Speaker 2: So that's an intriguing take by yachts too. Obviously yachts
- 8:46Speaker 2: to very big into digital assets and more of the
- 8:49Speaker 2: collector's side of things, NFTs, et cetera. And that's an
- 8:53Speaker 2: interesting take. Okay, I could see that going in that direction.
- 8:56Speaker 2: I feel like it's still more of a speculative asset
- 8:59Speaker 2: that people will continue need to trade in and out
- 9:01Speaker 2: of and will go, just like gold, because I truly
- 9:04Speaker 2: believe it has the digital gold moniker, which is a
- 9:07Speaker 2: little bit more resident If you listen to Chair Powell
- 9:10Speaker 2: talk about this just the other day from the FED,
- 9:12Speaker 2: I mean, that's the real concern. I think that would
- 9:15Speaker 2: be the biggest issue right there, is that you've got
- 9:18Speaker 2: the FED chair talking in the United States FED chair
- 9:20Speaker 2: talking about bitcoin and gold on the same standard. Just
- 9:24Speaker 2: think about that and look at market cap you kind
- 9:26Speaker 2: of get where I'm going. The other thing you have
- 9:27Speaker 2: to concern yourself right now with bitcoin. Of course, everybody
- 9:30Speaker 2: kind of throwing this up there is Google introducing a
- 9:33Speaker 2: quantum technology that potentially everybody was running for the fences
- 9:36Speaker 2: saying this could solve the bitcoin puzzle. And of course
- 9:40Speaker 2: they introduced Willow. It's a computer chip capable of solving
- 9:43Speaker 2: problems in minutes that would take traditional supercomputers septillions of years.
- 9:48Speaker 2: I'm not even sure how many that is, but that's
- 9:50Speaker 2: a lot of time. With potential applications and medicine, energy,
- 9:54Speaker 2: et cetera, this will probably be the case.
- 9:56Speaker 3: Oh.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Kevin Rose, my buddy noted that cracking big and security
- 10:00Speaker 2: would require quantum systems with millions of cubits and beyond
- 10:04Speaker 2: Willow's current one oh five millions versus one oh five cubits.
- 10:07Speaker 3: So I can get that.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Is that there are Kevin Rose, In case you don't know,
- 10:11Speaker 2: this is one of the guys who founded a little
- 10:13Speaker 2: a company called Dignation. If you guys remember that, let
- 10:16Speaker 2: me know down in the comments you've been in tech
- 10:18Speaker 2: that long that you know what Dignation is. But that,
- 10:21Speaker 2: of course is Kevin Rose and has enough understanding. Also,
- 10:25Speaker 2: he's the founder of moon Birds and in the other NFT,
- 10:27Speaker 2: so he gets the blockchain space pretty well, so I
- 10:29Speaker 2: would trust him on that one.
- 10:31Speaker 3: The other thing I want to get.
- 10:32Speaker 2: To, of course, is right here Google Willow versus bitcoin encryption.
- 10:36Speaker 2: Today Google announced Willow that reached one hundred and five
- 10:38Speaker 2: cubits back to the point is that it would take
- 10:40Speaker 2: almost a million of these things to get it done.
- 10:43Speaker 2: So a lot of experts weighing in on this on
- 10:45Speaker 2: computer science, and I think this is a scenario when
- 10:48Speaker 2: you get into quantum computing. First of all, the capacity
- 10:51Speaker 2: for quantum computing to actually be used by the masses,
- 10:54Speaker 2: I think will.
- 10:55Speaker 3: Be very very limited.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Now, could it be used by rogue nation states or
- 10:59Speaker 2: something of that nature. Yeah, that's the concern that I
- 11:03Speaker 2: think a lot of people would have. And if you
- 11:05Speaker 2: look at a couple of tweets, this is coming in
- 11:06Speaker 2: from Emmin the founder of Avalanche, and he's made a
- 11:11Speaker 2: couple of statements in here. Quantum computing will make it
- 11:13Speaker 2: easier to perform certain operations, factoring numbers, other searches, inverting
- 11:17Speaker 2: one way hash functions.
- 11:18Speaker 3: Remain just as difficult.
- 11:20Speaker 2: But he also is talking about the exposure the quantum
- 11:24Speaker 2: computing could circumvent. And what he's talking about here is
- 11:27Speaker 2: the public keys that are exposed when transactions are issued.
- 11:30Speaker 3: So we know how that works.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Quantum attacker has a brief opportunity after you seize public
- 11:35Speaker 2: key in transaction, but after that attraction, it's incorporated into
- 11:38Speaker 2: the chain. So there is a slight window. Sure, quantum
- 11:41Speaker 2: computing could go that direction, but it gets back to
- 11:43Speaker 2: the point of where's quantum computing and what is it
- 11:47Speaker 2: doing in the hands of certain people. It's almost like
- 11:50Speaker 2: nuclear power if you have only a handful of countries
- 11:53Speaker 2: in the world that are capable of that, and we're
- 11:56Speaker 2: still not seeing the technology. So we are way way out,
- 12:00Speaker 2: I believe.
- 12:01Speaker 3: Now.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Could it advance with AI, yeah, sure, Could it come
- 12:04Speaker 2: in the next one, two, five, ten years, yes, but
- 12:07Speaker 2: getting there I think by then we'll see some advancements
- 12:11Speaker 2: in the blockchain as well. Other points I want to
- 12:14Speaker 2: get too, is this story right here Ray Dalio is
- 12:16Speaker 2: predicting a global debt crisis. This is good because not
- 12:21Speaker 2: good in the global debt crisis. Good in the sense
- 12:23Speaker 2: of there is an alternative to what you can do
- 12:27Speaker 2: when you have Fiat starting to fail across the globe,
- 12:29Speaker 2: and that of course is going to be bitcoin and gold.
- 12:31Speaker 2: According to Dalio, a couple of points he's making right here.
- 12:35Speaker 2: He said, unprecedented levels of indebtedness seen in all the
- 12:39Speaker 2: major countries this will be, including the United States and China.
- 12:42Speaker 2: This will be pretty much the opening for countries to
- 12:44Speaker 2: be able to not have a debt crisis in years,
- 12:47Speaker 2: which will be the potential of shifting over and almost
- 12:51Speaker 2: doing a digital reset into digital assets. So think about
- 12:55Speaker 2: timing here. You look at bitcoin, you look where atheroreum is,
- 13:00Speaker 2: and then you look at the rise of some of
- 13:01Speaker 2: these other digital assets that are going into RBA's real
- 13:04Speaker 2: world assets, and you look at tokenized securities. Everything is
- 13:09Speaker 2: starting to move in the direction. Given another two years
- 13:12Speaker 2: of development against FIAT, and you may have a perfect storm,
- 13:18Speaker 2: almost like that Overton window of the ability to shift
- 13:21Speaker 2: into something like a digital asset infrastructure worldwide. So there's
- 13:26Speaker 2: a lot of things happening. So the good thing is
- 13:29Speaker 2: you guys are subscribed to our channel, and if you're
- 13:31Speaker 2: not subscribed, do that right now. Just hit the sbscribe button.
- 13:34Speaker 2: That's going to give you notifications if you come in
- 13:36Speaker 2: on our live streams, all that good stuff.
- 13:38Speaker 3: We will be doing some more live streams.
- 13:39Speaker 2: We'll probably be doing a livestream next week when we
- 13:41Speaker 2: do and air the chair Powel's statement on whether or
- 13:45Speaker 2: we're going to get an interest rate cut. And I
- 13:47Speaker 2: think that's what everybody's waiting for right now. Last up,
- 13:49Speaker 2: of course, but not least Peter Schiff. One good thing
- 13:53Speaker 2: Biden can do before leaving office is sell all the
- 13:55Speaker 2: bitcoin currently held by the US government. The money would
- 13:58Speaker 2: raise twenty twenty four budget deficite, but also put an
- 14:01Speaker 2: end to all the nonsense about harmful strategic Bitcoin reserve. This,
- 14:05Speaker 2: of course, is a goldbug talking the Gold book. I
- 14:09Speaker 2: completely get it. I understand that the new asset has
- 14:13Speaker 2: been selected, it's going to be Bitcoin. For other digital
- 14:16Speaker 2: assets that are to make their way into it, gold
- 14:19Speaker 2: may just have another competitor and it's going to have
- 14:21Speaker 2: to deal with that for quite some time. Hence, Peter's
- 14:25Speaker 2: not too happy right now. So hey, guys, if you're
- 14:28Speaker 2: not in on our diamond circle, get in right now.
- 14:30Speaker 2: It's a great place to get additional content. And of
- 14:32Speaker 2: course you can reach me out there on x Appaul Baron.
- 14:35Speaker 2: We'll catch you next time right here on tech Path
