- 0:00Hello weary
- 0:11Traveler, I'm not sure what strange magic
- 0:14must have brought you here, but you have stepped into a
- 0:17realm of my creation, a sprawling
- 0:20city filled with danger and glory and, most
- 0:22importantly, lots of gold.
- 0:25Out.
- 0:25I call it Ilanumis. Who am
- 0:28I, you might ask? M the name is Jargon,
- 0:31and I'm the patron deity of gambling.
- 0:34Long story short, this group of
- 0:37idiots, or as you may call them, heroes,
- 0:40made a bet with me that they had what it took to make a mass
- 0:43trove of gold, but left some of the key
- 0:46details blank. So I fill them in
- 0:49myself. I send them to this pocket
- 0:51dimension, into the city I had created
- 0:54with brand new bodies they'd have to attune
- 0:57to. Can these fools pass my test?
- 1:00Or will they be trapped, uh, here forever?
- 1:02So, experience, um, my world of trials
- 1:05and tribulations and join alongside this
- 1:08posse of pitiful people. Or as I like to
- 1:11call them, the criminals of
- 1:13Islamis.
- 1:16All right, everybody, welcome back to another episode of the
- 1:19Criminals of, uh, Numis.
- 1:21Did I get it?
- 1:21It's criminals, right?
- 1:23Sure.
- 1:24I'm pretty sure it is. Okay.
- 1:25I thought we were heroes.
- 1:28Hang on a second.
- 1:29You're telling me just because we killed a few people, that makes
- 1:32us criminals?
- 1:33Okay, you worked with a criminal to do the
- 1:36crime, but then you killed the criminal. What does that make
- 1:39you?
- 1:39Uh, uh, that is a vigilante.
- 1:42Yeah, that might be awesome. All
- 1:45right, cool. We're back again. Uh, there's been a couple of
- 1:48little changes. Some people have leveled up, so we're going to get
- 1:51into that here in a moment. Um, additionally,
- 1:54uh, probably addressing
- 1:57something that might have come up in the comment section. Yes,
- 2:00we understand a glave is a two handed weapon.
- 2:02Uh, and Keto decided to also grab a
- 2:05makeshift. Um, mean, it never really
- 2:08came into play, so as far as we were concerned, it was just strapped
- 2:11to his back. Um, you
- 2:14failed the one guy attacking you anyways, so,
- 2:17I mean, doesn't really matter. Um,
- 2:19but we understand it's two handed. Uh,
- 2:22we'll see where that takes things. So, whatever the case,
- 2:25uh, welcome back to another episode. Let's go around the table and
- 2:28do some introductions. Let's start with Dave.
- 2:33Dave here playing Maki,
- 2:36a sorcerer,
- 2:39now discovering
- 2:42his powers and his new Kanku
- 2:45body.
- 2:45That's right.
- 2:46Awesome.
- 2:47Um, found some interesting ways to use your powers last
- 2:50episode, which is exciting. Moving on,
- 2:53we got Quinn, aka Feather
- 2:55McGregor, aka Lil
- 2:58sauce.
- 2:59Yes, sir.
- 3:00Uh, not much going on right now.
- 3:03We just
- 3:06brutally assassinated a few people.
- 3:09Now, given your kind of siding with the law,
- 3:11uh, you not only just
- 3:14killed, know, participated in the
- 3:17killing of a very prestigious member of society,
- 3:20but also a criminal. What's the
- 3:23back and forth going on in Feather McGregor's mind right now?
- 3:26At this point, he doesn't care. He's pretty
- 3:29much turned full on. He wants to get to
- 3:32the real world.
- 3:33Okay, fair.
- 3:34Uh, mean,
- 3:37his goal is this million dollars.
- 3:39Sure.
- 3:39All right, sounds good. Uh, moving on, we got
- 3:42Jackson, aka Dez.
- 3:44Uh, this is Jackson playing Dez. Uh,
- 3:47once a Triton fighter, now a
- 3:50turned, um, Kanku Ranger.
- 3:53That's right. Um, and you just leveled up. Yeah, I
- 3:56did.
- 3:56Uh, level two. Gained two whole hit
- 3:59points, uh, to my maximum.
- 4:01It's great. It's phenomenal.
- 4:02Yes.
- 4:03Uh, but now have
- 4:06cure wounds and hail of thorns.
- 4:09Can you.
- 4:10I forget what that spell is called.
- 4:12I think you're right.
- 4:13Yeah, hail of thorns.
- 4:15Nice.
- 4:15And taking, uh, the
- 4:17archery fighting style.
- 4:20Yeah, you don't need all that HP. You're going to be arranged, guy.
- 4:23And you can heal yourself.
- 4:25Yeah, whatever.
- 4:26Awesome.
- 4:27Or your friends.
- 4:28Or your friends.
- 4:29I'm myself mostly.
- 4:30Yeah, it's a self.
- 4:32I've got the least amount of health in this whole group.
- 4:34There you go. Uh, you definitely point,
- 4:37uh, Fatty lumpens. Uh, you also just
- 4:40leveled up, so tell us a little bit about what, uh,
- 4:44uh, Keto is doing.
- 4:46Yeah, this is fatty. I'm playing Keto,
- 4:49who is a Druid turned
- 4:53fighter in the body of a
- 4:55cobalt. Uh,
- 4:58showing off my level two prowess here,
- 5:01uh, which comes with second
- 5:04wind and action surge, as well as a
- 5:07few health points.
- 5:08Right, which, uh, second wind you had
- 5:11before. We forgot to mention that, too. But again, not something
- 5:14that really came up, so it wasn't an issue. Um, last time
- 5:17was the first time you took damage, so that would have been the only time you would need to
- 5:20use second wind, and that was moments ago.
- 5:23Uh, but, yes, you also have action surge, which gives you an
- 5:26additional action. So if you are standing next to a dude and you're
- 5:28attacking him and you want to do an additional attack, that
- 5:31is an option.
- 5:33Fantastic.
- 5:33Um, awesome. That'll definitely be beneficial. And
- 5:36then finally, we've got Cameron with,
- 5:39uh, I keep wanting to say the goblin name that I
- 5:42gave you, even though it's kind of irrelevant, but
- 5:44Roric, he might play
- 5:47into it. Who knows?
- 5:48Sure. Go for it.
- 5:50Uh, you also just leveled up. Tell us a little bit about, uh, what's
- 5:53going on in that neck of the woods.
- 5:55I gained eight
- 5:58HP.
- 5:59Nice. That was it. That's
- 6:01it. The rogue will get there. The
- 6:04reason I say that is because as a rogue at
- 6:07level two, you gain cunning action. But a
- 6:10goblin comes base kit with cunning
- 6:13action. Essentially.
- 6:14Yeah.
- 6:15So I gained
- 6:16AHP.
- 6:18That was it, basically, you get a little
- 6:21bit extra. Oh, wait, an extra hit. Dice,
- 6:25short rest. Oh, don't, um,
- 6:28spoil me.
- 6:31That's the base. Awesome. All right, we will
- 6:34jump back into things.
- 6:42All right, welcome back to, uh, criminals of
- 6:44Isla numis. Last time, you guys had
- 6:47joined in with the mysterious figure known as
- 6:50the Slicer, who invited you along to his little
- 6:53job, which turned out to be a transaction
- 6:56involving some horse semen. Uh, you
- 6:59guys helped him through that transaction, helped
- 7:02him take out the guards, uh,
- 7:04semi accidentally killed
- 7:08the target of the theft, per se. Uh,
- 7:11somewhat intentionally, actually. Uh, whatever the
- 7:14case, he died, which upset the
- 7:16slicer quite a bit. Um, and you guys decided the
- 7:19best solution was to get rid of slicer entirely.
- 7:22All of the time. While that was happening, uh, our
- 7:25good buddy, uh, Maki
- 7:28was stealing the cart of,
- 7:30uh, the previously mentioned target,
- 7:33the, uh, Lord Pendleton,
- 7:36from Pendleton Stud Farms.
- 7:38Uh.
- 7:40Uh, Maki climbed atop this
- 7:43carriage, managed to sort of steal it for
- 7:46himself. You now have an unconscious
- 7:48driver, but, uh, otheRwise, the carriage is yours.
- 7:51And I believe you guys are all climbing inside of
- 7:54it. If I remember correctly, you guys have looted the
- 7:56bodies. You did your leveling up. Uh, you're climbing
- 7:59inside of this carriage. Um, Maki, I
- 8:02assume you're continuing to be the driver for this.
- 8:06Uh, yeah.
- 8:07Awesome.
- 8:08Uh, wait, guys.
- 8:13So that Pendleton guy, he was pretty
- 8:16loaded, wouldn't you say?
- 8:18Ah.
- 8:21He had all this money to throw away on
- 8:24horse semen, you say throw away?
- 8:28Wow.
- 8:30Who said that?
- 8:34The driver. Charge him?
- 8:38No, I'm just kidding.
- 8:40Uh.
- 8:42What do you guys do with its body?
- 8:45Currently, it is just laying there in the
- 8:48alleyway with an arrow sticking out of the side of it.
- 8:51But otherwise, aside from the sort of bloody spot
- 8:54that's building up in that spot where the arrow
- 8:57is protruding from, uh, he looks fairly
- 9:00intact. A little pale.
- 9:03All right, the way I see it here is
- 9:07this driver here. When I first
- 9:10got into the carriage, he thought I was Lord
- 9:12Pendleton. I had him going for
- 9:15a bit. He was going to take me right home to this
- 9:18guy's house. So what if
- 9:21we let the driver wake up and
- 9:24he takes us back to Lord Pendleton's
- 9:27house
- 9:32and we see where we can go from there?
- 9:36Maybe we can let ourselves
- 9:39in, see what other kind of
- 9:42stuff he has around place.
- 9:46I kind of had an idea.
- 9:49Uh, so tomorrow,
- 9:52there happens to be a, uh, sporting event going
- 9:55on. We could kind of push this back a little
- 9:58bit. We could head out there, maybe
- 10:01a couple of days. Sporting event going on with a pretty
- 10:04big purse. Pretty big purse.
- 10:07Lots, uh, of money online. If we could win, and, I mean,
- 10:10there's quite a few of us. I think we got a
- 10:13good shot if you guys are interested. It only
- 10:15happens once a year, and tomorrow is
- 10:18the day.
- 10:21What event is that?
- 10:23Well, I'm glad you asked.
- 10:25I've never actually participated myself,
- 10:28but, uh, seeing as I've got a
- 10:31new view on life, I wouldn't be
- 10:34opposed. Uh, the running of the
- 10:36Minotaur
- 10:39is tomorrow morning,
- 10:42and, uh, it's a community sport.
- 10:45Held annually. A group of minotaurs are captured and
- 10:48released upon a group of runners who attempt to outrun
- 10:51and survive the incoming wave of horns and
- 10:54anger. It's a dangerous sport that not
- 10:56many enter due the high mortality rate and likeliness
- 10:59of injuries. But the promised prizes are often quite
- 11:02valuable.
- 11:05All I heard there was prizes. Really?
- 11:08I mean, who knows what this guy's got at his house?
- 11:11We can rob him anytime,
- 11:14but we only got one shot at the running of the minute
- 11:17dog.
- 11:17Well, the night is young. We got a strike while the
- 11:20iron is hot here. They're expecting this
- 11:23guy back, I presume sometime
- 11:26this evening.
- 11:27As long as we get to the running of the Minotaurs, I'm
- 11:29down.
- 11:30What time of day do we have.
- 11:32Time to do both? Uh, is
- 11:35the Minotaur m thing tomorrow?
- 11:37It's in the morning.
- 11:37Oh, in the morning.
- 11:38Just turned.
- 11:40No sleep.
- 11:41It was like 06:00.
- 11:44You'Re heading into, like, 730 to
- 11:4708:00 p.m., yeah, we.
- 11:49Have time to do both.
- 11:50Yeah, and even get a short.
- 11:51Got, uh, time.
- 11:52I've got time. When you've got time, you've got time. I've got
- 11:55time.
- 11:56Mike says I've got time. And you see he's
- 11:59wearing the slicers
- 12:02sundial.
- 12:03Rolex.
- 12:04Sundial.
- 12:05What am I? A sundial. Awesome.
- 12:08Okay. All right, so you guys climb into
- 12:11the, um. All I got to say
- 12:14is, uh, tried some of that
- 12:16semen. Don't know
- 12:19why it costs so much. Just got to say,
- 12:25yes.
- 12:28You did. Did you
- 12:31just dip my finger in and.
- 12:33Oh, gosh.
- 12:33Uh, the thing is,
- 12:37I was curious. I was listening to the talk
- 12:39earlier, and the guy said,
- 12:42how do we know to be sure it's the good stuff until.
- 12:45Well, uh, I guess we'll have to.
- 12:46Wait to find out. And I figured, why they have to wait? Why didn't
- 12:48they just try some right then?
- 12:50There.
- 12:51That's how you make sure it's the good stuff. And like I
- 12:53said, I don't think it's worth
- 12:561200 gold.
- 13:00That's my 1200 gold cents on
- 13:03this.
- 13:06So anyways, here's my idea. Uh,
- 13:09we go into horse breed.
- 13:12I realized there's a vacancy in the horse
- 13:14breed front. Slicer said something
- 13:17about he was one of the six horse breeders. Well
- 13:20now there's only five. And that means there's a whole open
- 13:23slot in the horse breeding front. So
- 13:27insert fizzle.
- 13:30Fingers
- 13:33feline.
- 13:33Wait. I don't know horse stuff. I'll
- 13:36have to practice. But all I'm saying is we
- 13:39create a business. Oh, there's a hole in the market.
- 13:42Hey, didn't one of you guys find some
- 13:45uh, cement?
- 13:47Yes, lots of it. And I think we could use it as
- 13:50a good starter.
- 13:52Wait, there's more semen.
- 13:54Yeah, under the bench here.
- 13:59There is not more.
- 14:00That's just.
- 14:03Half of.
- 14:06My milk is delicious.
- 14:08Oh gosh.
- 14:09Some sort of tickets.
- 14:13Do you guys need a reminder? Uh, I didn't
- 14:16pick up. I jotted it down. Okay.
- 14:18Uh, I have the Reg Horse race
- 14:20invitation on my person.
- 14:22And just to clarify, um,
- 14:25if Fizzlefingers, Roric whatever said
- 14:28it that way, that's fine. But just to let you know, uh, he's
- 14:31one of the six members of the Reg
- 14:34Horse racing committee. Not one
- 14:37of the six breeders. Although he is definitely one of the
- 14:40breeders. Giving that he had a Pendleton
- 14:43farm, stud farms or what have you. But
- 14:45just putting that out there. He's one of the members of the horse
- 14:48racing committee.
- 14:50Um. Yeah.
- 14:54We're not just going to be able.
- 14:55To walk in and take over say the event is.
- 15:00It didn't.
- 15:01Not to my knowledge. There's not an event.
- 15:03It's just an invitation.
- 15:04It's an invitation to a reoccurring event. So
- 15:07you wonder. It happens semi regularly.
- 15:10Yeah.
- 15:10Okay.
- 15:12Weekly.
- 15:12Uh, potentially weekly.
- 15:17If he had this
- 15:21uh, big jar of semen, it
- 15:24probably has a Philly at home he
- 15:26was going to use it on.
- 15:30Yeah, I don't like where this is going.
- 15:33I'm just saying, if there's a horse
- 15:35race, this guy's probably got some
- 15:38horses.
- 15:39Yeah.
- 15:41Who's to say we don't just take those
- 15:43horses and enter them in the race
- 15:46ourselves?
- 15:49Yeah, see, I like the way this guy
- 15:52thinks.
- 15:53I don't got any buttons.
- 15:55That conversation.
- 15:57We rob the house and the uh,
- 15:59ponies.
- 16:00Uh, who wants to go see what we
- 16:03can.
- 16:03More profitable to sell said horses.
- 16:07If they were valuable race horses.
- 16:11Why gamble when you could just have.
- 16:14Sure.
- 16:15I don't care what we do with the horses. All I know is I need
- 16:17some water or something to get this taste out of my
- 16:20mouth. Oh, gosh, uh.
- 16:24Salty.
- 16:27Are you guys just sitting in the back of this? Yeah, we're waiting for
- 16:30this guy to wake up.
- 16:33This way.
- 16:33He does wake up, and you just hear
- 16:36salty. Where
- 16:39am I? And, uh, there's a moment of silence
- 16:42as he kind of looks around and takes his bearings, and
- 16:45he.
- 16:47Yeah, I'm driving the car.
- 16:50Uh, I'll nudge
- 16:53Maki to get
- 16:56him to go.
- 16:59Oh, dear. Um, Mr.
- 17:01Pendleton, are you back?
- 17:08Oh, I'm so sorry,
- 17:11Mr. Pendleton. Oh, I just think I fell
- 17:14asleep. Um, I, uh, must have
- 17:17just dozed up. How long have you been waiting, Mr.
- 17:19Pendleton?
- 17:21My stud farm next.
- 17:24Oh, my. I'm so sorry.
- 17:26All right, horses, we better get all back
- 17:29home.
- 17:30I was doing Maki's voice. This is supposed to be
- 17:33Maki remixing. M what Pendleton said
- 17:36before, to clarify.
- 17:37Yeah, exactly.
- 17:39Um.
- 17:45You'Re all kind of pushed back against the walls of this carriage as
- 17:48it lurches forward, heading off,
- 17:51uh, quickly down the road. You don't hear
- 17:54much from the driver as he's trying to
- 17:57focus on getting you home as quickly as possible.
- 18:00Feeling terrible, hoping he doesn't get fired at the end of
- 18:03this trip. Quickly, um, he rushes you home.
- 18:06It's maybe a ten minute horse drawn carriage
- 18:08ride before suddenly it comes to a stop.
- 18:11All right, Mr.
- 18:14Uh, Lord Pendleton, uh, you're home.
- 18:16I got you home. Sir, I sincerely apologize.
- 18:18Please feel free to hop on out, and, uh,
- 18:21I'll go put the horses.
- 18:23In the carriage away.
- 18:24Unless you plan on going anywhere else tonight.
- 18:31No.
- 18:33All right. Again, I sincerely apologize,
- 18:36Mr. Pendleton. I truly apologize
- 18:39for this situation.
- 18:42I, uh, assure you it'll never happen again.
- 18:45And, um, uh, you guys are sitting in there
- 18:49as he waits.
- 18:52I'm gonna hop on, try and kill him.
- 18:57Is this a real thing?
- 18:58Yeah, I'm gonna hop on, kill him.
- 19:00All right. Uh,
- 19:03I'll give you a surprise round, I guess.
- 19:05All right.
- 19:06How are we supposed to get to.
- 19:07The with advantage, right?
- 19:09Anywhere.
- 19:10Anywhere.
- 19:11Uh, I don't know.
- 19:12Can you drive a carriage?
- 19:13Twelve.
- 19:14I might.
- 19:14Twelve. He's not wearing any kind of armor or anything. So you're
- 19:17already here.
- 19:18I can drive.
- 19:19What are you using?
- 19:20Firebolt.
- 19:21Oh, okay. You can
- 19:24change the body, but you can't change the sailor.
- 19:26Which one is this?
- 19:27Eight. This is ten.
- 19:28Let me drive the boat.
- 19:29Let me drive the boat.
- 19:30What's little sauce doing? Told him this
- 19:33guy has three kids.
- 19:34Which one is
- 19:39which one's which hEre.
- 19:40Scampering out, the zero is
- 19:43a ten. That's a D ten.
- 19:48Uh, four damage
- 19:51plus.
- 19:52Just as it, uh, you
- 19:55leap out, you shoot a firebolt at
- 19:58this strange man. It slams into his
- 20:01face. His beard, long beard, catches on
- 20:03fire. He's
- 20:06furiously clawing at the area in front of his face.
- 20:09It's hot. Can't see. Uh, the horses immediately
- 20:12panic. They rear back, having fired, been
- 20:14blasted right behind them, and they start to take off.
- 20:17The rest of you, dive out of the cart.
- 20:19Okay?
- 20:19You dive out. Okay. Uh,
- 20:23it hasn't quite gotten up to speed, so I'm not going to make you do a check or
- 20:26anything. Uh, what are the rest of you doing? As
- 20:29this suddenly lurches forward and starts.
- 20:31Shooting away, as
- 20:34he starts running away, uh, uh, what
- 20:37did the guy say? Is there anything I could take that he said
- 20:39just be like, I don't know,
- 20:42I could just yell. Because he's all worried about getting fired,
- 20:45right?
- 20:46Well, I don't think he's worried about getting fired. Well, now he's worried about being
- 20:49literally fire.
- 20:50Now he was on fire.
- 20:52Did he say that, uh, his world's on fire?
- 20:55How about yours?
- 20:56Yeah, uh, I'll just let it go.
- 20:59Start playing music.
- 21:02Start playing the music open to.
- 21:04I've got a limited amount of royalty free
- 21:07music that I can use again. YouTube funny.
- 21:10YouTuber funny. That is not how this works. If
- 21:13it's not commercially, how far away is
- 21:16this driver? Uh,
- 21:19he's outside the cart. He's like within
- 21:215ft, essentially, just outside the,
- 21:24you guys are inside the cart. He's just outside of it on the little
- 21:27seat. It's kind of like a, now here we go
- 21:30again.
- 21:33Maki scrambles to the roof of the carrot,
- 21:36okay. Attempts to,
- 21:39uh, and
- 21:43he reaches for that power he felt before,
- 21:46and he says, 90 night.
- 21:48Oh, gosh.
- 21:49All right, he's going to try to make, oh, no, he's going
- 21:52to put.
- 21:52All of us to sleep. No, I think it's
- 21:55your choice of creature.
- 21:56Try to put the horses in the.
- 21:59Driver'S control over
- 22:01this.
- 22:02Hold your horses again.
- 22:03Yeah, 90 night works. It's okay.
- 22:0890 night.
- 22:09I was thinking, uh. All right, roll
- 22:12the amount of pins.
- 22:13Um, he's not holding the horses. Otherwise you just grab
- 22:16the rain.
- 22:22Not going as well.
- 22:251819. Oh, goodness.
- 22:28Okay. One, um, of the horses
- 22:31falls asleep. The other one continues
- 22:34going. This causes a
- 22:36horrible turn in the cart, which causes
- 22:39it to start rolling. The driver is immediately
- 22:42thrown off. Uh, you don't see where he goes.
- 22:44Uh, you hear a. As he hits the ground, and that's
- 22:47the last thing you hear as far as he goes.
- 22:50Uh, the rest of you are inside the cart. I grab
- 22:53onto keto. Okay, you grab onto Keto,
- 22:56mind you, which is the first thing I did, actually, when the cart took
- 22:59off.
- 23:00I hope, uh, you wash your hands after that jar.
- 23:04Uh, yeah, about the jar. It was
- 23:06open
- 23:10as the cart.
- 23:15Just two people inside. There's only two people inside.
- 23:20You take two damage. Uh,
- 23:23bludgeoning, if that matters. Um,
- 23:27what have I done? As semen goes flying
- 23:29everywhere inside of.
- 23:31The cabin of this carriage,
- 23:34you open the door.
- 23:35It's like cobwebs of just dripping.
- 23:39Murphy and Johnny
- 23:43saving throw as you are
- 23:46on top of the cart as it.
- 23:47This guy died.
- 23:48Did he, like, fly off and die?
- 23:51An added 20. You carefully
- 23:54dive onto the ground as, uh, the cart
- 23:56starts to roll. It goes flying over top
- 23:59of you upside down. Uh,
- 24:02a little bit of some strange
- 24:05viscous liquid drips out from one of the
- 24:07windows and falls next to you, but not onto
- 24:10you. Uh, you have no idea what that was, but it
- 24:13did catch your attention in the slow motion moment as
- 24:16this cart starts past you. Otherwise, it
- 24:19hits the ground, uh,
- 24:22wheels smashing. A chunk of the
- 24:25carriage itself is kind of pressed inwards.
- 24:28Um, the horse is probably
- 24:30dead. The other one wakes up instantly,
- 24:33taking damage, but also has been
- 24:36thrown itself and twisted. Um, it's a
- 24:39horrible, disturbing mess. You hear horses
- 24:42that are still. The horse that's still alive,
- 24:45making a horrible sound. Uh, the whole
- 24:47crash scene is just a disturbing mess. But
- 24:50sure enough, your two colleagues come crawling out of
- 24:53the cabin covered in a very similar.
- 24:56Yeah. Drenched in a very strange viscous
- 24:58liquid that seems familiar.
- 25:00Large jar.
- 25:01I just want to state, I would have not, uh, thought of this had.
- 25:04You not made the hoped you washed.
- 25:06Your hands rEmark, made
- 25:09this easy mark made this scene so much
- 25:11better. How far away were they? They landed
- 25:14about.
- 25:18I'm going to run over there. I'm going to look to finish off.
- 25:20The guy, make sure he's dead.
- 25:23Is he.
- 25:24I'm going to lose body.
- 25:25Does he have anything on him? Uh,
- 25:28he has a wallet, and inside of
- 25:31it, it's a picture of his wife. And he's
- 25:34got a thing that rolls out, and it's just
- 25:37pictures, family pictures of him with his kind of obscured
- 25:40right now.
- 25:40Yeah, I'm going to take it. Take it out.
- 25:43Rip it up.
- 25:44Tearing it.
- 25:45Rip it up and throw it.
- 25:46Oh, my word.
- 25:50This is what losing your reality
- 25:53insanity.
- 25:54Does to a man.
- 25:55Okay, I've gone through a lot.
- 25:57You just found out your hole.
- 25:58Yeah, I know. Your only
- 26:01way out is to get a million dollars. Yeah.
- 26:04Do what it takes.
- 26:04I'm not trying to tell you I.
- 26:05Don'T think ransom God, but to be fair,
- 26:08this deity did say I created everything
- 26:11that's in this world. These are still people living
- 26:13lives just in a pocket world. As opposed
- 26:16to the outcome doesn't
- 26:19matter.
- 26:21If you kill a man in a dream.
- 26:26That's how I feel like this is just. He created this out of
- 26:29a bet. We're meaningless to this guy.
- 26:31We mean nothing to him.
- 26:33Sure, whatever. I'm not here to
- 26:36argue.
- 26:37I'm just saying he's going to do some dark things to get out of
- 26:40here. He's going to do some dark things to get out of
- 26:43here.
- 26:43Oh, guys, uh, that would have. Now, down the road, you might
- 26:46calm.
- 26:46It down a little bit. But this is still, what, 3 hours
- 26:49after you talked and found out that his life is
- 26:52meaningless?
- 26:54I'm going to, uh, stealthfully go into the
- 26:57manor.
- 26:58Okay. Yeah.
- 26:59Did the carriage flip over
- 27:01completely?
- 27:04A couple of times, yeah.
- 27:06Is it, like, wreck?
- 27:09I'm going to go crawling out. I'm going to be like, oh, wow. I would
- 27:11have thought I'd been a lot harder to get out of that wreckage, but I'm a
- 27:14lot flippier than normal. Nobody's
- 27:17crawling out and saying, I'm all right.
- 27:20The real cliche.
- 27:24All right. Oh, brother. You guys
- 27:27are covered in some sort of.
- 27:35I could just clean that. That would
- 27:38be great. As Maki puts his
- 27:41hands up, uh, and almost expresses this
- 27:44desire and
- 27:47magic pours from his hands
- 27:49and he casts prestige
- 27:52cleans. A, uh, cubic square foot
- 27:55of your.
- 27:56Just a cubic. It only does it.
- 28:01Bottom half of fizzle fingers.
- 28:03Yeah.
- 28:03Body.
- 28:07It's only a cubic foot.
- 28:09That's crazy.
- 28:09Well, uh, yeah, maybe I shouldn't have killed that guy, guys.
- 28:12Um.
- 28:12My bad.
- 28:13Whoa.
- 28:14How'd I do that?
- 28:15Do that again.
- 28:17Let me see how I did it.
- 28:21You repeat process.
- 28:24It tickles.
- 28:27Eddie.
- 28:27Cleans you up.
- 28:29Oh, wow.
- 28:30Uh, Keto
- 28:36still in the wreckage upside down.
- 28:40What are you doing?
- 28:43Looking at myself in disgust and doing
- 28:46some walk of shame. And I think I'll probably culminate
- 28:49it by just putting this horse out of his
- 28:51mist.
- 28:52Call it the walk of shame.
- 28:53It's like a double on time.
- 28:59Oh, no.
- 29:01The fan art. We're going to get. What? No,
- 29:04I hope not. All
- 29:07right.
- 29:07Awesome.
- 29:07So you guys have all, uh, removed yourselves
- 29:10from the destroyed carriage. I
- 29:12assume, uh, Maki is going to use prestige
- 29:15digitation to, for the most part, clear off
- 29:19any of this from his friends.
- 29:21Substance going to be salvageable.
- 29:25I have the jar there. Maki
- 29:27Keto. A medicine check.
- 29:30A medicine check
- 29:33in relation to medical
- 29:36concepts.
- 29:38I don't know what does that even fall?
- 29:40It's one of the skills.
- 29:4216.
- 29:43You know that this is not.
- 29:46How much horse.
- 29:51Explicit.
- 29:52You can't say that.
- 29:55How much horse semen ring out of
- 29:58my sweater.
- 29:59I almost wish you had rolled low and that would have been like, man, this
- 30:02stuff is still good, though. But
- 30:04are you any left in the jar? No.
- 30:08That bad, huh? Well, I mean, you've introduced
- 30:11it to the elements and the air. It's not
- 30:13like, pressure sealed anymore. It's not?
- 30:17Well, this was put in pressure sealed. Yeah, it made
- 30:20like a. When you opened it, did it? Oh,
- 30:23yeah. Like, released carbon
- 30:25dioxide. It fizzed a
- 30:27little. I guess rock was too excited to get to the
- 30:30good stuff. I mean, he didn't
- 30:33notice.
- 30:38Uh, all right, I guess there's no.
- 30:40Need to put that on ice anymore.
- 30:42That's right. Uh, you guys are all outside the cart.
- 30:45You're outside of this very nice, lavish
- 30:47house. It's pretty darn close to
- 30:50a mansion, if not officially a mansion. I don't know what to
- 30:53cut off there. Manor, has anyone
- 30:55noticed?
- 30:56Goes, like, shack
- 30:59house, everyone. Manor,
- 31:02mansion.
- 31:02Got it. Okay.
- 31:03This is a manor for sure. There, uh, are a number of
- 31:06stables that are out here. Uh, you
- 31:09hear various horses kind of scattered about within
- 31:12these stables that are around you. Um, but right now, you see
- 31:15the manor. Uh, you see a couple of lights on, maybe some
- 31:18lanterns that are lit on the inside. Nobody
- 31:20seems to have noticed the scene that's happening
- 31:23around you, the whole
- 31:26crash, the wreckage, et cetera, uh,
- 31:29which is probably for the best. There wasn't a huge amount of noise
- 31:31involved with it. Just maybe the crash when the cart kind of
- 31:34rolled and hit the ground. But, uh, other than that, that's where
- 31:37you guys are at. What would you like to do?
- 31:40Uh, take off.
- 31:43I'm in the house.
- 31:44You already went to the house?
- 31:45Yeah, I said I'm stealthily going into said man.
- 31:48Okay, well, then we'll jump to that. All right. Just ran off.
- 31:50Everyone else just joins.
- 31:52You approach the door, and you reach up to the handle, and sure
- 31:55enough, it's unlocked.
- 31:56So you open it up, and inside.
- 31:59Uh, the lights are on. You see a very lavish living room
- 32:02area. Um, you see to your right, there's a big
- 32:05grand piano. You, uh, see to
- 32:08your left and straight ahead, there are some
- 32:11hallways that seem to go deeper into the house,
- 32:14you notice there are very nice velvety curtains on
- 32:16all the windows. Um, there's a variety of furniture.
- 32:19They all have nice doilies on the
- 32:22cushions, on the armrests.
- 32:25Uh, things along those lines. Very nice house. Very
- 32:27classy.
- 32:29Um, I would like to search the rooms.
- 32:31Stealth fulling.
- 32:32Okay.
- 32:33And if I can find anything that resembles,
- 32:36like, some wealthy man's quote
- 32:38unquote Den.
- 32:40Den.
- 32:40Okay.
- 32:41Like an office type.
- 32:42Okay.
- 32:43Um, you creep throughout the house. You find a kitchen.
- 32:46Nobody's there. Um, you see an
- 32:49upstairs, which you hear what sounds
- 32:52like maybe a voice of a person upstairs. So you feel
- 32:55like if there is anybody in this house, which you assumed already
- 32:58based on the fact that the lights were on, they are probably
- 33:00upstairs. Uh, you continue to creep through.
- 33:03Uh, you find a back room.
- 33:06Uh, doors are locked. Um, but you wonder
- 33:09if maybe this might be the proverbial
- 33:11den that you were thinking of.
- 33:14Can I pick the lock?
- 33:16You can attempt.
- 33:16Do you have lock picking tools?
- 33:22Mmm. M.
- 33:25No.
- 33:26Okay.
- 33:27Can't pick the lock.
- 33:28Okay.
- 33:29Can I break the lock?
- 33:31You could attempt to, sure. Give me
- 33:33an athletics check.
- 33:38Okay.
- 33:42That is a ten.
- 33:44That is a ten. Uh, you slam into the door.
- 33:47It does not break the door or the lock that is
- 33:49holding it shut. Um, you do hear, uh, the
- 33:52voice that's upstairs suddenly get quiet,
- 33:55and you start to hear footsteps starting to move towards
- 33:58the stairway. M
- 34:01Hide.
- 34:02Hide.
- 34:03Okay, uh, do me a
- 34:05stealth.
- 34:08Uh.
- 34:09What is that? A
- 34:121414.
- 34:13Okay. Uh. Awesome.
- 34:13You leap behind a piece of furniture, uh, quickly
- 34:16hiding yourself behind it. You hear a voice call from
- 34:19upstairs.
- 34:20Pendleton. Pendleton, is that you?
- 34:23Are you home, dear?
- 34:25No answer.
- 34:25No response. I had to keep myself from
- 34:28saying.
- 34:29Must have just been the clap of my ass cheek.
- 34:33You can't say that on the radio. That's why
- 34:36we're not going to do.
- 34:44Uh. Uh.

- 35:24After a couple of moments, uh.
- 35:28You.
- 35:29Once again hear the sound of footprints as
- 35:32whoever the woman is upstairs decides to
- 35:35walk away. Okay, ignore whatever it
- 35:38is that she thought she heard.
- 35:41So are we, like, going up to the house?
- 35:43Yeah, sure. By this point, you guys have all made it up to the house. Do you see the door
- 35:46is cracked open a little bit? If
- 35:49you.
- 35:49I'm going to wave you guys over this way.
- 35:51Uh, yeah, we can see him.
- 35:53I thought he was hiding.
- 35:56Scooby Doo, gang, creep over
- 35:59to where? Desert.
- 36:01Okay. All right.
- 36:02Did you clean off, um,
- 36:06Keto?
- 36:08Yes.
- 36:08Or is he just making a sticky sound?
- 36:14Clean as a whistle.
- 36:15And I cleaned off the
- 36:18jar.
- 36:22And.
- 36:22Then he went to the record. So you left the wreckage alone, though, so it's
- 36:25just covered on the inside. Wow,
- 36:28that's going to be interesting. Whoever's the first person
- 36:31to find that. What happened?
- 36:34Imagine you guys brought the dead body of Pendleton
- 36:37along with you. And in there,
- 36:42that people would find.
- 36:43You like, oh, Lord. Pendleton. He's dead and
- 36:46he's covered in his own horse's semen.
- 36:49What could have possibly happened to this man?
- 36:52Would they assume horses? Just
- 36:54saying.
- 37:03Could you differentiate between the two? Is there
- 37:06a distinct visual?
- 37:07Because I don't think there would be a new type
- 37:10of crazed psychopath running
- 37:13around this.
- 37:16You guys missed out on a great opportunity to cover your tracks.
- 37:19They would be so mind ass that they
- 37:22wouldn't even know how to piece that, ah, part together.
- 37:26Wow. Anyways, well, that didn't
- 37:29happen, so. Yeah, there's just a carry. There's a
- 37:32nearby flip driver. That's true.
- 37:35He might have summon. Who knows? Who knows what
- 37:38they're going to. That's for me to figure out, I guess. Thanks,
- 37:41guys. Whatever the case, you guys are
- 37:44inside the house. You are no longer covered in horse
- 37:47semen.
- 37:48Um.
- 37:50Oh, thank goodness you're creeping
- 37:53around. Uh, you find Des
- 37:56standing in front of a closed and locked
- 37:58door.
- 38:03I'll do hands, uh, to get
- 38:06someone to open it.
- 38:07I have thieves tools.
- 38:09I do, too. We all pull
- 38:12out our thieves
- 38:19that have these tools. Who would
- 38:22like to attempt
- 38:25power of friendship
- 38:28and then add your sleight of hand?
- 38:31It'd be done.
- 38:31Uh, I have
- 38:3414 1414. All right, sure enough, you
- 38:37put your thieves tools carefully into the lock
- 38:40and you fidget it around a little bit here and there, and then
- 38:43that's a skill. Momentarily you hear
- 38:45click, the door opens itself in front of you.
- 38:48I really am restraining myself from playing my creepy music
- 38:51right now and just going on a murderous rampage.
- 38:53But.
- 38:56All right, we may need to have an intervention.
- 38:58Yeah, we may need to size something, open it up. And
- 39:01inside you find a sort
- 39:04of kind, uh, of a library
- 39:06themed man
- 39:09cave.
- 39:10Perfect.
- 39:10Uh, yeah, kind of a thing.
- 39:13Uh, in addition to a couple of shelves
- 39:16with books lining all of the different
- 39:18layers, uh, you see a very
- 39:21nice, ornate, uh, main desk with a
- 39:24chair behind it, obviously, where he keeps
- 39:27a lot of his personal things, um,
- 39:30as the man of the house. Additionally, you see a
- 39:33lot of horse themed decor
- 39:35spread across this room. Little statuettes,
- 39:39horse, um, busts, uh, anything.
- 39:41Worth value, uh,
- 39:44as far as the.
- 39:45Artwork goes and the decorations, you're unsure, but
- 39:48you assume it must be to some extent, because he's a fairly
- 39:50wealthy man. Obviously.
- 39:52I sit there and think, man, I wish that Kurt, uh,
- 39:55wouldn't have gotten wrecked.
- 39:57Yeah, that's true.
- 39:58M that could have been not my fault.
- 39:59I'm sure he's got another one.
- 40:01Whatever the case, you guys are inside of this den. Now, this.
- 40:04This perverted. What kind of torture chamber
- 40:07is this?
- 40:10Books.
- 40:10Yeah.
- 40:13I've been one of these before.
- 40:17Worst day of my life.
- 40:20One day of school, one day of school. Never
- 40:23back again.
- 40:26Maki looks around for any, uh,
- 40:28sort of decanter. Fine
- 40:31liqueurs.
- 40:34Okay.
- 40:34Oh, yeah, right there, right on the desk, you see a
- 40:37very beautiful glass decanter
- 40:40with three matching
- 40:43glass cups. Like, kind of. I, um, don't know what those
- 40:46are called. Those, like, small cups for
- 40:48alcohol. I'm not really somebody that drinks a lot, so
- 40:51I don't know, flask.
- 40:52Crystal.
- 40:53Yeah, like, Crystal. Where that would be a
- 40:56decanter. Yeah, but I'm saying, like, the cups themselves.
- 40:59Um, I think there's a word for them. But whatever the case,
- 41:02um, inside the decanter, you can see it's
- 41:04corked with a glass cork, uh, on top.
- 41:08And inside the decanter is a deep
- 41:11brown liquid.
- 41:12What do we have here?
- 41:16Maki takes a little whiff.
- 41:19It smells of a fine whiskey.
- 41:22And he takes his.
- 41:24Oh, no.
- 41:25Water skin, assuming he
- 41:28has one. Oh, yeah. He pours
- 41:31that into the potted plant,
- 41:35and he fills it up with the good stufF.
- 41:37All right. You now have a water skin full
- 41:40of very fine whiskey,
- 41:43as opposed to life giving water
- 41:47Matt Rourke asked for earlier, mind you, never
- 41:50got.
- 41:54Is, uh, there anything anyone else would like to do while you. I'm going through
- 41:57all the books looking for any with pictures in it. Uh, if they don't
- 42:00have pictures, I throw it on the ground and go to the next one. You
- 42:02do throw a few on the ground, but amidst the ones that you throw on the ground, you find
- 42:05very various ones, all with pictures of horses. I
- 42:08point and laugh at them as I
- 42:11do. Um, that. So I'm making two piles.
- 42:14Okay. Pile a.
- 42:17Boring.
- 42:17Books without pictures.
- 42:19Pile B. Funny. Books with pictures of
- 42:22horses. Yes. Now, you are actually surprised
- 42:25because pile B seems to be larger than
- 42:27pile A. This might be the best library
- 42:30Royce ever found.
- 42:34Hasn't been in many, but most of them don't
- 42:36have pictures. That's true.
- 42:39Keto, Des, feather, anything you
- 42:42guys are after inside of this den, I'd
- 42:45like.
- 42:45To search, um, the drawers for either a
- 42:48key to a safe.
- 42:50Sure.
- 42:50Or, um, any kind of
- 42:53valuable esque.
- 42:56Okay.
- 42:56All right.
- 42:57Likeness.
- 42:58Yes.
- 42:58Um, you find a couple of drawers. One of
- 43:01them has paperwork inside of it. Um,
- 43:04actually, probably two or three of them have paperwork inside of it. Just different
- 43:07kinds of paperwork. One of them, you open up and
- 43:10you see more of those little cards that are
- 43:13invitations to the horse races. Okay.
- 43:16Uh, there are six more inside of there.
- 43:18I'll grab those.
- 43:19Okay.
- 43:20Um, one of them, you see
- 43:23a sort of identification, and it
- 43:26says, Vicount Cornelius
- 43:29Montague Pendleton Fitzgerald.
- 43:31Member, official member of the
- 43:34Royal Equestrians Guild.
- 43:37What? Official memory.
- 43:42Um, and then you find,
- 43:44uh, one of them has a
- 43:48little, ah, pouch with 100 gold pieces in it.
- 43:51Grabbed.
- 43:52Awesome.
- 43:52I figured, um, currently, that's the
- 43:54primary things that you find within these.
- 43:57Uh.
- 43:59Okay, so I grabbed the horse race invitations
- 44:02and his ID card.
- 44:03Okay.
- 44:04I imagine that could get us into.
- 44:06Something potentially, uh,
- 44:10any of the paint. You said that there's paintings and stuff?
- 44:12Worse.
- 44:13Oh, man. There are some horse paintings in here,
- 44:15man.
- 44:17So I want to grab one down and cut it out of the frame and roll
- 44:20it up like you're stealing it. Okay, so I'm assuming I need to
- 44:23roll to see if I cut it out. Well,
- 44:27um, how many pings would you.
- 44:29Say there are probably
- 44:32in this room? There's probably six.
- 44:35Obviously, I don't want to damage the ping, but I'm cutting them out of the frame.
- 44:38Yeah, give me a roll. Uh, let's do sleight of hand.
- 44:40Sleight of hand.
- 44:4513.
- 44:45Uh, 13.
- 44:46Okay.
- 44:47Yeah, you do a pretty good job. Uh, let's say that you only mess up
- 44:49on one of them. You got
- 44:52five. Good quality, pretty, uh, confident in the
- 44:55paintings. They look good. Um, you don't
- 44:58recognize any of the painters? Like they have their little
- 45:01signatures in the bottom or something. Or maybe on the back of them. Once
- 45:03you cut them out, you don't recognize
- 45:06paintings what?
- 45:07Is there anything hidden in the paintings behind them?
- 45:09No. Um, something that you notice
- 45:12on, uh, any of the statues that he
- 45:15has decorating the room with the horses on them.
- 45:17Um, any of them that show
- 45:20like the full body of the horse? Uh, I want to
- 45:23emphasize that it shows the whole body.
- 45:26Uh, you can very much see the horse
- 45:29bits
- 45:32very prominent.
- 45:36In the painting.
- 45:37Not in the painting, the, uh, statues. Statues, yeah, any full
- 45:40bodied horse statues.
- 45:41Just something I'm letting you guys know,
- 45:44very prominent.
- 45:45Yeah, very prominent parts.
- 45:49Pick up the statue. I'm looking at it. Okay,
- 45:51that's really kind of strange. It
- 45:54is quite nothing strange with the statue at all.
- 45:57No, uh, I'm not trying to hint at anything. I didn't know if I
- 46:00needed a bunch, uh, of.
- 46:04No, that's what you're alluding to or not.
- 46:07Well, just emphasizing the fact that this is a stud
- 46:09farm and you can tell where his focus
- 46:12is
- 46:15as a business. As a business. To clarify,
- 46:20we have created quite the podcast here.
- 46:22It's very niche. Yeah. What are you up
- 46:25to? Yeah, you don't know? He's
- 46:28so traumatized. The
- 46:31things that you could join
- 46:35the statues surrounding you are not helping.
- 46:38I'm going to find an immaculately embroidered hand
- 46:41towel. Oh, yeah, wipe my hands
- 46:44up. Absolutely, yes, absoLutely,
- 46:46100%. Very fair. As you guys
- 46:49are finishing up with all this stuff, uh, you start to hear
- 46:52footprints. Uh, footprints,
- 46:55steps.
- 46:55Steps.
- 46:56Uh, we're going crazy. People
- 46:59imprinting their foot into the ground up. You
- 47:01hear the sound of footsteps as they are making
- 47:04their way across the upper floor and towards what
- 47:07you saw as the stairwell. Somebody, uh,
- 47:10is moving in your direction. What
- 47:13do you do?
- 47:14I'm going to close the door gently as
- 47:17if someone had meant to do it with.
- 47:23Just act normal.
- 47:24Okay.
- 47:25A normal door closed. Not like, but also not
- 47:28like, uh.
- 47:29Yes, not like I'm trying to hide anything, but
- 47:32also not that I'm trying to rush.
- 47:33Okay, sounds good. All right, you do that. Anybody else
- 47:36doing anything?
- 47:37Nothing.
- 47:39Laughing. Odd, but okay.
- 47:42No, I'm pointing at the pictures. Oh, that's true.
- 47:44Okay, have I finished?
- 47:47No, there's a lot of books. Keep going then.
- 47:49All right, Maki goes over to the
- 47:51desk. He's, uh, going to
- 47:54grab some of the stationery,
- 47:57some just like paper and
- 48:00extra ink or quills or
- 48:03whatever it's going to
- 48:05hide, uh, behind the desk in case somebody walks
- 48:08in.
- 48:09Okay, sounds good.
- 48:10All right.
- 48:11Uh, you hear the footprint.
- 48:14Steps, dang it. You hear the footprint,
- 48:16dang it. You hear the
- 48:19footsteps make their way down the
- 48:21stairs. Uh, and you hear a soft
- 48:24knock at the door, and you hear,
- 48:27Pendleton.
- 48:28Pendleton, is that you? Are you
- 48:31home?
- 48:32I'll nudge Maki.
- 48:33This is wife using his last name.
- 48:36Of course I have the semen.
- 48:42Oh, I'm so glad that your business deal went well,
- 48:45honey. By chance, did you
- 48:48happen to wreck another horse carriage out in the
- 48:51front? Another one?
- 48:54We got lucky with that.
- 48:56Of course,
- 49:01the men.
- 49:06I didn't catch that last part, but, uh,
- 49:09well, they are your characters, honey. I know you know best,
- 49:12so I'm going to leave you to it. I'm headed to bed here
- 49:15momentarily, but feel free to join me
- 49:18whenever you're ready.
- 49:21Excellent.
- 49:24You hear the footsteps. Walk away and head back
- 49:26upstairs. Um, you hear one last
- 49:29as she.
- 49:30Calls back, I'm going to turn the lights off,
- 49:34but I'll leave the one on by the stairs.
- 49:38Excellent.
- 49:39All right, sounds good. And with that,
- 49:43you hear the footsteps kind of walk into the living room area,
- 49:46back and forth a little bit here and there. Um, you start to notice
- 49:49that the light outside of the den that you're in kind of start
- 49:51to dim as she blows out all the torches
- 49:55or, uh, sconces, et cetera.
- 49:56It just has torches mounted on the.
- 50:01Caved,
- 50:05um, around the room. And then you hear her
- 50:08footsteps go back upstairs as, uh, she makes her way
- 50:11back to the bedroom.
- 50:13Perfect.
- 50:14Uh, you guys are now left unattended.
- 50:21Just everyone's going to bed.
- 50:24Everybody's going to bed. It's dark in the rest of the
- 50:27house.
- 50:27I'm just going to loot the
- 50:30house.
- 50:31Yeah.
- 50:34All right, you guys make your way
- 50:37throughout the rest of the house. Uh, you do not find
- 50:40Keto, you do not find an armory. Uh, this guy did not seem
- 50:43like the type to keep weapons, per se.
- 50:46Um,
- 50:48I would say you find another
- 50:51125 gold pieces, kind of
- 50:54here and there in different spots. Um, as
- 50:57far as valuables go, it's kind of hard
- 51:00to say. Like I said, there's some
- 51:02decorations and things that you feel like would be valuable, but it's
- 51:05just a matter of how are we going to get that?
- 51:07How are you going to fence that?
- 51:08Yeah, exactly. Um,
- 51:11I don't know any fences. Yeah, most of the ones don't
- 51:14even speak. Very fun.
- 51:19Whatever the case, this is the basic gist of what you
- 51:21find throughout the entire first floor of this,
- 51:24um, house. Okay. Is there
- 51:27any large sacks in this room?
- 51:31Find some in the kitchen. How large are we
- 51:33talking?
- 51:35Flower sack?
- 51:36Yeah.
- 51:37Big. Yeah. Okay.
- 51:39Big enough. It could hold a person.
- 51:43We're going to kidnap his flag. Hold a
- 51:46whole person?
- 51:48I'm going to go look in the kitchen.
- 51:50Uh, yeah, you find some flowers.
- 51:52Is there, like, in the living room? Is there any
- 51:54artwork depicting the family or
- 51:57anything?
- 51:58Uh, yes, there is a
- 52:01very large, ornate portrait just above
- 52:04the furnace or the
- 52:06fireplace. And it is Mr. Pendleton
- 52:09and his wife. They are both riding on
- 52:12a horse, a brilliant white horse together
- 52:15with the whole horse. Yes, I
- 52:17was just going to say the entire horse is depicted
- 52:20there.
- 52:22I think it's just him and his wife here, guys.
- 52:26Des nods in agreement.
- 52:27So I think we should be good
- 52:30to take our time.
- 52:33Again.
- 52:33More nodding. Uh, I don't have a button
- 52:36for this conversation.
- 52:37I'm going to go make a sandwich.
- 52:42Fair enough.
- 52:42You have all the time in the world to do so. Uh, you
- 52:45go into the, uh, kitchen area,
- 52:48and there is a sort of ice box, and you pop it open,
- 52:51hoping to find some interesting things. Um.
- 52:55Um, you find some
- 52:58horse cheese.
- 52:59Okay.
- 53:01Something else.
- 53:02And you also find some head of
- 53:05meat.
- 53:06Head of lettuce.
- 53:08Well, other very normal.
- 53:10I thought he was going to open the ice box and it was just going to
- 53:13be filled with piles.
- 53:18Yes. You wonder if there might be another
- 53:21ice chest somewhere else in this either house or
- 53:24out in one of the, uh, stables where they would keep
- 53:27something like that. Entirely possible,
- 53:30though that would be a.
- 53:31Good way to make money
- 53:33unironically so. Because if we go to this horse
- 53:36race and we go, like, behind the stables, and we're
- 53:39like, all right, gentlemen or
- 53:42ladies, whatever, I don't care.
- 53:46This big guy left all of these vials
- 53:48unattended, and now we're going to sell it to you.
- 53:52M. And that dumped them all over a
- 53:55carriage.
- 53:56That wasn't on purpose. Is there any
- 53:59other kind of overarching concept? I'm in the
- 54:02kitchen, okay. Alongside
- 54:05him. Yep.
- 54:06And I'm just rustling through cupboards.
- 54:08Sure.
- 54:09And do I find a large sack?
- 54:12Yes.
- 54:13As I said before, you find a couple of empty
- 54:15flower sacks, sick burlap or
- 54:18whatever they were made. Oh, I see.
- 54:22Uh, Maki open the fridge as
- 54:24I have a sack, and I just walk over to the
- 54:27fridge, as he's just holding it open, and I just grab the thing
- 54:30of cheese, throw it in the sack. I just start
- 54:33walking out there.
- 54:34That's it. Just the cheese.
- 54:38Okay, fair enough.
- 54:39Maki wants to grab something. That would be good.
- 54:41Ah.
- 54:42Uh, some, like, hard
- 54:44meat, some jerky. I don't
- 54:47know, sausage. A link of the
- 54:50cartoony link of sausage.
- 54:53Big old horse salami.
- 54:56Yeah, maybe not. You
- 54:59get the flashbacks to scene so far,
- 55:02and you kind of question yourself for a moment.
- 55:06Uh, I guess he just puts, ah, that around
- 55:08his shoulder on whatever. He goes
- 55:11back to the entryway and Finds,
- 55:14like, a satchel or
- 55:17something.
- 55:17Okay.
- 55:19And he starts picking
- 55:22random, shiny knickknacks off of
- 55:25the shelves or whatever.
- 55:26Okay.
- 55:28I mean, is everybody kind of just looning? Uh,
- 55:31yeah, yeah, in general.
- 55:32Okay.
- 55:33Keto's gonna look for a basement or a.
- 55:38Um.
- 55:38Um, yeah, you definitely kind, uh,
- 55:41of hidden in the back of the stairwell. You find a
- 55:44doorway, like a little Harry Potter esque
- 55:46doorway, and you walk inside of it, and there's
- 55:49a stairwell that leads down into some sort of basement
- 55:52area. Uh, you head down there, I
- 55:55assume. Um, and that is exactly
- 55:57where you find the ice chest or the
- 56:00whole room. This is a thing.
- 56:07Very cold. The further down you go, the colder it gets.
- 56:10And sure enough, once you get to the bottom, it is freezing
- 56:12cold. And you find a, uh, terrified
- 56:15scream from Keto.
- 56:18These flashbacks.
- 56:23Running on the sand. You stumble into
- 56:26the dark.
- 56:34Steven falls all over.
- 56:37But that did not happen.
- 56:38No, I have dark vision. Yes.
- 56:59Fantastic.
- 57:00I thought so I could look at that.
- 57:02Whatever.
- 57:02Uh, the case.
- 57:04Yes.
- 57:04Uh, you find shelves of
- 57:07vials. Is there variety of semen?
- 57:09Any sort of
- 57:12storage receptacle or container that
- 57:14one might transport this
- 57:18serum?
- 57:22Any Bible receptacles,
- 57:26cans.
- 57:26Yeah, exactly.
- 57:30Like I said, they're all in glass cylinders,
- 57:33kind of like the one that you had before. Uh, so, I mean, it's really just
- 57:36a matter of finding some kind of a bag or something where you could
- 57:39safely slide them in. Uh, you know that
- 57:41upstairs there were some flower bags.
- 57:44Uh, there was a couple of satchels
- 57:48scattered about. You could honestly pull a blanket off of
- 57:51the couch and just turn that into a makeshift bag.
- 57:53Totally up to you. It just depends on how much you want to
- 57:56take.
- 57:57I'm going to whisper up the stairs. Hey, guys, I
- 57:59found the father load.
- 58:05That is a term we are allowed to use.
- 58:09Also, I want to point out that on each of the
- 58:11shelves, you will see a painting of a
- 58:14horse that sort of suggests that these
- 58:17came from this horse. Uh,
- 58:20and additionally you will see kind of a,
- 58:23let's say, like, uh, a clipboard. And it
- 58:25has some various notes scribbled on them underneath each of the
- 58:28horse's paintings. So it says, like, lived this
- 58:31long or is currently living good
- 58:34health, or if it suffered any kind of health issues,
- 58:37that was something that they might take note of for like,
- 58:40oh, these
- 58:42semens might
- 58:45have that potential if we're.
- 58:47Ah.
- 58:49Uh, might, uh, have that potential to
- 58:52cause that whatever that health defect might have been, or whatever the
- 58:55case, or maybe there's positives, like this horse
- 58:58ran faster than all the others. So we're going to use this semen to
- 59:00try to breed more faster horses, so on and so
- 59:03forth.
- 59:04In any case, I'm going to try loot as much as I can,
- 59:07just in general. Or try gather it all
- 59:10in a very secure manner, knowing that this probably
- 59:13holds more value than most of our other.
- 59:15Just going to toss them all into one bag.
- 59:17Are you going to keep them separate.
- 59:19Including you, from this venture? Because I've already.
- 59:22That's not what I was meaning.
- 59:24I would say that these would have to have labels
- 59:28on the specific vials and such themselves.
- 59:31Uh, it simply says a horse's name, a
- 59:34horse's type.
- 59:35This is all on each file or label.
- 59:37These are like the simplified labels on each file.
- 59:40Uh, and, like, their weight or size
- 59:43or something along those lines. I'm not super expert on
- 59:46horse stuff, um, but it would be the very
- 59:49necessary basic details of the horse. So,
- 59:52like, breed horse was a water type. A water
- 59:55type horse. Sorry, breed.
- 59:58I do find it funny, though. You're like, I'm not an
- 1:00:01expert on this kind of stuff, but you're just assuming that
- 1:00:04he has an underground farm of
- 1:00:06semen. Oh, yeah, absolutely. This seems like the
- 1:00:09way they do it in medieval times.
- 1:00:10Actually.
- 1:00:13I say that I'm not an expert on horses. As if I didn't come
- 1:00:16up with like a half dozen to
- 1:00:18eight different horse types
- 1:00:21and why they differ. And different stat blocks for
- 1:00:24each one. But yes, you are able to find some
- 1:00:27variation of, uh, probably load a couple into your
- 1:00:29backpack, which I think everybody should have.
- 1:00:32Um. Oh, yeah, there's the suitcase
- 1:00:35from the exchange. You're able to load some into
- 1:00:38there. Uh, that probably still does have some semen on
- 1:00:41the exterior of it, since it was part of the
- 1:00:43rollout. Uh, but that's
- 1:00:46okay as far as
- 1:00:49you're okay with it, I suppose. Uh, whatever
- 1:00:52the case, yes. You collect, let's, uh, say, a dozen
- 1:00:55different vials of, uh, horse semen.
- 1:00:58This is going to be interesting equipment.
- 1:01:00Yes. I have to sadly erase mine.
- 1:01:03I will kind of semi generate jar of what those
- 1:01:06are. It's gone.
- 1:01:08It's gone.
- 1:01:09It's all gone. How many
- 1:01:11episodes in a row are we going to title Horse semen? Oh,
- 1:01:14we're titling.
- 1:01:17Uh, I thought we was going to call it the
- 1:01:20father loan. I like that. That is true.
- 1:01:23Yeah.
- 1:01:23What were you saying there?
- 1:01:24I'm going to grab that clipboard of the cheat sheet of all their little,
- 1:01:27uh.
- 1:01:28Okay, so you just kind of collect all the sheets.
- 1:01:31How many vials do you grab of each horse? Well, he
- 1:01:34got a total of a dozen. Twelve vials. Is that like twelve
- 1:01:37one per horse?
- 1:01:38Sure. Yeah.
- 1:01:39He has twelve horses.
- 1:01:41Oh, yeah.
- 1:01:41This guy's got lots of horses. Cool.
- 1:01:44He literally runs a stun form. Yeah.
- 1:01:47Huh.
- 1:01:47I suppose that's true.
- 1:01:48M Maki goes down the stairs and looks
- 1:01:51for the horse named Smitty
- 1:01:54Weberman Jensen.
- 1:01:56He was number.
- 1:01:57He was number one.
- 1:01:59No, but I don't know.
- 1:02:02He does try to figure out if
- 1:02:04there's
- 1:02:06like a, ah, real winner.
- 1:02:09I don't know.
- 1:02:10A real winner. Okay, absolutely. Uh, there
- 1:02:12is, um. There was a horse.
- 1:02:15Oh, man.
- 1:02:15I didn't come up with names for horses. You guys come up
- 1:02:18Matilda.
- 1:02:21Sorry.
- 1:02:21Blade Runner.
- 1:02:25Yeah. More horse at night names.
- 1:02:27Yes, there was a Jersey Mike's. Wait,
- 1:02:31uh, what was the name?
- 1:02:33Come up with a name.
- 1:02:35JJ.
- 1:02:36German Pharaoh.
- 1:02:38German Pharaoh.
- 1:02:39Sea Cracker.
- 1:02:40Okay, he's taking.
- 1:02:43No, German is German Pharaoh is Egyptian
- 1:02:45Pharaoh. Right.
- 1:02:47Okay.
- 1:02:47No, it's American Pharaoh and then Sea.
- 1:02:49Biscuit, but he's in sea cracker. He's just taking
- 1:02:52famous horse names. Okay, well, I just need one.
- 1:02:55Somebody just picked one, uh, one horse named
- 1:02:57Knife.
- 1:03:00His name is Knife.
- 1:03:01Knife.
- 1:03:02Okay, Mr. Ghoul.
- 1:03:04A horse. His name was Knife.
- 1:03:07Um.
- 1:03:10He was a good horse.
- 1:03:13Uh, the breed of horse was a.
- 1:03:16Yes. Wouldn't hurt a soul
- 1:03:18kind, which is a great horse.
- 1:03:22Back in the medieval times, I believe.
- 1:03:26And yes, uh, it was called a taki.
- 1:03:28Taki?
- 1:03:30Taki with a K.
- 1:03:33Yeah, the shine gun.
- 1:03:38Dang it. No,
- 1:03:44his front legs go backwards and his back
- 1:03:47legs or whatever. He's really fat.
- 1:03:51No, but he was definitely a fine
- 1:03:54specimen of step horse.
- 1:03:58He was quite the trotter.
- 1:04:00Yeah,
- 1:04:05I love my kids.
- 1:04:10I'm a good step horse.
- 1:04:14No,
- 1:04:17I married into type of
- 1:04:20horse.
- 1:04:21Um.
- 1:04:25Whatever the case, his charts show that he
- 1:04:28performed very well. Um, so,
- 1:04:30yes, his stands out to you.
- 1:04:33I'll, ah, fill my
- 1:04:36satchel up with a bunch of his violence.
- 1:04:38Explicitly. Okay, sounds good.
- 1:04:42We could say splooge. We
- 1:04:45can use that term.
- 1:04:46His flubber.
- 1:04:47His flubber. That's probably
- 1:04:50copyright. Uh, now, you can't
- 1:04:53copyright a word.
- 1:04:56Make it up.
- 1:04:57You can.
- 1:04:58Yeah, exactly. All right. Um,
- 1:05:00awesome. So, yes, this is where you're at.
- 1:05:03Uh, now that you've got full bags.
- 1:05:07Full sacks of semen.
- 1:05:09Um, uh, you're feeling
- 1:05:12quite weighted down. I won't say you're fully encumbered, but
- 1:05:15you're pretty darn close. So we should work our
- 1:05:18way out
- 1:05:20finding.
- 1:05:21I don't want to lose all this stuff we could
- 1:05:24use.
- 1:05:26Why don't you go look for carriage?
- 1:05:28Well, why don't we all go look for a carriage?
- 1:05:31Probably because you, um, destroyed the last.
- 1:05:33Yeah, I'm
- 1:05:35busy. Are you still sorting through
- 1:05:38book? Yes. You got some
- 1:05:41food out of the kitchen, and I'm eating it in one
- 1:05:43hand. And looking at book. I was going to say, you've got cheese. You're
- 1:05:46just eating the cheese.
- 1:05:47Okay. All right.
- 1:05:48What else would I do with it? Well, you made a whole thing about putting it
- 1:05:51in a bag. You took it right over to the room, and
- 1:05:54then you started eating it, pulled it out of the bag.
- 1:05:58Just.
- 1:05:58Dragging it along the ground. It was a really heavy cheese. Well,
- 1:06:01the sack's sitting there.
- 1:06:03It's got.
- 1:06:03No, I understand.
- 1:06:04Okay. All right. Sounds good. All right.
- 1:06:05So, feather, you're headed out to find a new
- 1:06:08carriage.
- 1:06:09Um. Okay.
- 1:06:10Yep. You head out. Uh, you
- 1:06:13look around the farm. It's a bit dark. Are you taking. I mean,
- 1:06:16I know you guys all claimed you had dark vision,
- 1:06:18but technically.
- 1:06:19As Cancu's, we only have low light vision. Okay,
- 1:06:22so there needs to be some light.
- 1:06:24Right? Okay.
- 1:06:26I was going to say, I think yours is class based.
- 1:06:29My subclass gives me it dark
- 1:06:32vision.
- 1:06:32Okay, so, feather, it's quite dark outside. Um,
- 1:06:35your light vision isn't quite covering the
- 1:06:38dark of.
- 1:06:39Can I see a barn or anything nearby?
- 1:06:41You can vaguely make out the shape of a barn, but that's how
- 1:06:43dark.
- 1:06:44Side of the barn.
- 1:06:45Yeah, you see the broad side, but that's the only side you
- 1:06:48see.
- 1:06:49We'll work our way over.
- 1:06:50Well, I'm saying it's, like, pitch black. I mean, even if you get there, it's still
- 1:06:53going to be pretty darn dark.
- 1:06:56Interesting.
- 1:06:56There's no, like, torches over there?
- 1:06:58I can see the house, right? Yeah, I just walked back
- 1:07:01to the house. Can I find one? I can't see.
- 1:07:04Guys,
- 1:07:07there's the sconce. One of those torches? Yeah.
- 1:07:10Okay, I think you probably have,
- 1:07:14too, in your adventuring. Okay, so there's sconces on the wall, but you
- 1:07:17have torches. I don't think I do. I think it's in your adventuring
- 1:07:20gear.
- 1:07:20I definitely have a tinder box.
- 1:07:22We all have torches. And there's also the sconces.
- 1:07:24Yeah.
- 1:07:25You have ten sheets of paper.
- 1:07:27I got some paper.
- 1:07:29Piece of paper. I have a hooded lantern. Oh,
- 1:07:32do you need that? I got a lantern. All right. That would
- 1:07:35work. All right, go over and handcuff my lantern. All right,
- 1:07:38you light it using one of the still lit sconces that are
- 1:07:41over by the, uh, stairwell that
- 1:07:44Pendleton's wife had left on, and you head out. You
- 1:07:47make your way to the, uh, go.
- 1:07:50There's several stables. Like, several. Quite a
- 1:07:53few.
- 1:07:53Let's go to the closest ones.
- 1:07:54Right.
- 1:07:55That's what I was going to get to. So each one that you go
- 1:07:57to, it's a lot of horses, but eventually you
- 1:08:00do find what looks like not a
- 1:08:03fancy, nice carriage, but what looks to
- 1:08:06be a cart for hauling hay around
- 1:08:09to the different stables.
- 1:08:10Good enough. Okay, so I'm going to take
- 1:08:13that card. Are there any horses in that same.
- 1:08:15Oh, yeah.
- 1:08:16All right. Do I need to roll for, like, animal handling or something?
- 1:08:18Yes, please, if you would.
- 1:08:2021.
- 1:08:2021. Holy cow.
- 1:08:21Yeah, you. Absolutely. You approach one of the stables.
- 1:08:24There's a horse inside. Give me a name for that
- 1:08:27horse.
- 1:08:27Dinkle beans.
- 1:08:28Dinkle beans. Fantastic. All right. Dinkle beans,
- 1:08:31uh, is awake. Um,
- 1:08:34and you're able to coax him out of there. You find some hay laying
- 1:08:37nearby, uh, just out of his reach, and you use
- 1:08:40that to kind of coax him close. You touch his mane and
- 1:08:43his muzzle. You say, muzzle?
- 1:08:45Is that a thing?
- 1:08:46Okay. Uh, give him some pets. Give him some
- 1:08:49scratches. He seems to like you just fine. You lead him
- 1:08:52over to the cart. You get him all hooked up. It's ready to go. For
- 1:08:54the most part, um, it was just a matter of getting him
- 1:08:57attached to everything. And, uh, sure enough, he's
- 1:09:00pulling the cart. You're sitting on top of his back.
- 1:09:02Hop out, open the doors, hop back in, and we'll take
- 1:09:05the cart up to the front of the house.
- 1:09:07All right? Sounds good. So you pull up to the house. You got it?
- 1:09:10Ready to go. It's an open cart.
- 1:09:13Since it's just a cart, there's no roof over it or anything.
- 1:09:15But, uh, walking up, definitely.
- 1:09:17I'll tie the reins to post on the house. Something
- 1:09:20going. Guys, I got a cart. We can
- 1:09:23get out of here. And I might have sold
- 1:09:26everything back at my place for the most part, but we can store all this
- 1:09:29stuff back at my place if you guys want.
- 1:09:31Sold everything. Stockpiles,
- 1:09:34semen instead.
- 1:09:35Yeah, I mean, I don't have any.
- 1:09:37Furniture anymore, but we can store
- 1:09:40this at my place.
- 1:09:41I just want to check one more thing. Uh, yeah. I want
- 1:09:44to see if the old lady's got any jewels.
- 1:09:47Oh, gosh.
- 1:09:48I'll go with you.
- 1:09:49Is that a euphemism?
- 1:09:50No.
- 1:09:54So are we going to go up.
- 1:09:55And, like, uh, this is something that I
- 1:09:58feel like this is something he was doing while you were getting the cart.
- 1:10:02Okay? Yeah.
- 1:10:03So monkey's going to go upstairs, uh,
- 1:10:06stealthily, all right?
- 1:10:08You creep up the stairway, following the
- 1:10:10lights. As you do to the second floor. You
- 1:10:13find a long hallway with a variety of doors. One of them
- 1:10:16creeped open ever so slightly. Uh, the
- 1:10:19sconces up on this floor, uh, only
- 1:10:22cast light in a very small space
- 1:10:25as to not disturb those that sleep up here, which at the
- 1:10:28moment, you believe is only the one
- 1:10:30person. All ah, right.
- 1:10:32I
- 1:10:34go to
- 1:10:37the room that she left the light on by
- 1:10:40or whatever.
- 1:10:40She'll leave the light on for you. Roll, uh,
- 1:10:44a stealth with advanTage, since
- 1:10:47nobody really expects you.
- 1:10:50Nine?
- 1:10:52Yeah.
- 1:10:53Okay, you're good. Uh, no
- 1:10:56stirring, no awaking or anything seems to
- 1:10:58happen. As you slowly creep towards it ever so
- 1:11:01slightly. The floor will creak a, uh, little bit,
- 1:11:04and you freeze every time it does, waiting to hear
- 1:11:07something. And nothing ever makes a sound. So you continue
- 1:11:10to creep closer and closer to this room until you're right
- 1:11:13at the door. You push it open ever so slightly and you can
- 1:11:16see fairly large bedroom, a couple
- 1:11:19of, uh, wardrobes, uh, some
- 1:11:22mirrors inside, um, a couple of
- 1:11:24desks that you could see that somebody might have, like, laid clothes
- 1:11:27out on. And then, of course, to, uh, the
- 1:11:30sort of back left side of this room. You see a
- 1:11:33large bed. And the blanket suggests
- 1:11:36a figure is sleeping amidst the sheets
- 1:11:39and the various linens on this bed.
- 1:11:41I go over. Well, I try
- 1:11:44to see if she's listened to the sound and
- 1:11:47see if she's honk shoeing
- 1:11:50or honk.
- 1:11:54She is definitely a.
- 1:11:57Is there a feather?
- 1:12:01Uh, no, there's no feather. They're all inside the
- 1:12:03pillows.
- 1:12:04Uh.
- 1:12:07Seems like she's asleep or they're
- 1:12:09on. You
- 1:12:15take a feather off of yourself and
- 1:12:19confirms it.
- 1:12:22Uh, make my way over to.
- 1:12:27The.
- 1:12:27Long dresser and
- 1:12:31look for the jewelry box on top
- 1:12:33or anything like that.
- 1:12:35Yes. Roll A. Let's do a perception check, see
- 1:12:38if you can see. You do have, uh, dark vision, so.
- 1:12:40That'S helpful as well.
- 1:12:4515. All right.
- 1:12:47Sure enough, you spot a somewhat
- 1:12:49ornate box, uh, sitting atop one
- 1:12:52of the. Or actually, it's, uh, inside one of the wardrobes. You
- 1:12:55open it up, you push back some of the clothes, and on the top shelf
- 1:12:58behind them, you see this box is hiding back there.
- 1:13:01It's currently locked at the moment,
- 1:13:04but it's just a question of whether you even need to, uh.
- 1:13:07Yeah.
- 1:13:07How big is this box?
- 1:13:08It's not incredibly large. It's about
- 1:13:11like, let's say, ten X ten inch
- 1:13:13box. And it's about,
- 1:13:17what would this be, like, five inches
- 1:13:20tall? Four
- 1:13:23inches?
- 1:13:23I'm just going to put the whole thing under my arm.
- 1:13:26All right, sounds good. I'll have you do one more
- 1:13:29stealth check, since this is a
- 1:13:32box full of jingly things.
- 1:13:39Matt.
- 1:13:41One.
- 1:13:41Oh, no.
- 1:13:42As you slowly pull this
- 1:13:45box full of various
- 1:13:47jewels and jewelry from its
- 1:13:50shelf, it slips out of your
- 1:13:53feathery hands that you still haven't quite gotten used
- 1:13:55to yet falls to the ground. It
- 1:13:58hits the ground, and you hear a loud
- 1:14:02as a variety of fancy metals and
- 1:14:04jewels inside make a large clanking sound. The figure
- 1:14:07inside the bed quickly sits up
- 1:14:10and turns towards you.
- 1:14:18Wait, so was I in the closet or what?
- 1:14:20You were technically, yeah. I mean, yeah, you were, like, reaching.
- 1:14:23Inside of the, uh, wardrobe, I say,
- 1:14:26I think Mark thinks to himself, man, if
- 1:14:29only Pendleton was actually here
- 1:14:36with his innate desires.
- 1:14:39He summons a silent
- 1:14:42image of Pendleton, uh,
- 1:14:45with his sorceress powers.
- 1:14:48Oh, I didn't know I could do.
- 1:14:53Um, turn around.
- 1:14:56And the image turns around
- 1:14:59towards his, but he
- 1:15:02notices it doesn't make any sound. That's
- 1:15:05true. That won't
- 1:15:07do. Uh, wait. What if I
- 1:15:10just talked for it?
- 1:15:15Um, do a deception,
- 1:15:18I guess. I'll do either deception or performance
- 1:15:21with advantage,
- 1:15:26of course.
- 1:15:29Um, she reaches over, she grabs a
- 1:15:32nearby sconce that's sort of like a portable one that
- 1:15:35she keeps by the bed, and she takes, uh,
- 1:15:38uh, a match. She strikes it, and she likes it.
- 1:15:41So roll either performance or deception with
- 1:15:43advantage.
- 1:15:48Uh, 1818.
- 1:15:51Um, she looks and she goes Pitter
- 1:15:54t. What.
- 1:15:55What in gobs thing are you doing?
- 1:15:59Steaming.
- 1:16:04Just
- 1:16:12the stuff next level. And he
- 1:16:14points towards the top of the.
- 1:16:19She just kind of looks for a second, she's like.
- 1:16:24Keep it down. Trying to sleep.
- 1:16:26Of course.
- 1:16:29She'S still a little off, but she
- 1:16:32blows out the sconce and tries to
- 1:16:35turn back and go back to sleep as best as she
- 1:16:38can.
- 1:16:39So Maki tries
- 1:16:41to keep it down.
- 1:16:43And.
- 1:16:45Tries to find all the pieces that he spilled on the
- 1:16:48ground and put them back into this
- 1:16:50box. He's, uh,
- 1:16:53maintaining this silent image because he can keep it
- 1:16:56going just in case. So he's using
- 1:16:59some of this concentration for that.
- 1:17:01Yes. Is, um, the image moving? Is he,
- 1:17:04like, doing.
- 1:17:08Just doing the robot?
- 1:17:10It's just kind of, like, stooped over in front of the
- 1:17:13door, like, facing Maki.
- 1:17:16He's looking through kind of dresser, kind.
- 1:17:18Of blocking the view.
- 1:17:19If somebody were to come in,
- 1:17:22um,
- 1:17:28any uh, nice duds.
- 1:17:29In this closet, uh,
- 1:17:32there are some very fine writing
- 1:17:35clothes. Um, you know, nice little
- 1:17:37button down, leathery vests of various
- 1:17:40kinds, a, uh, couple of top hats. And then
- 1:17:43you see some
- 1:17:44horsey
- 1:17:47thingies.
- 1:17:49Uh, yeah, Maki will pick out
- 1:17:52an outfit just in case.
- 1:17:55Might come in handy later.
- 1:17:57Okay.
- 1:17:58And then he's
- 1:18:01just going to clean up his mess and then try to
- 1:18:03sneak on out of there.
- 1:18:05And as you're going for the door, um, you
- 1:18:08hear one last thing from Pendleton's wife.
- 1:18:10She says, dear, you,
- 1:18:18Bjorregard was asking for you. He
- 1:18:21said that you two were supposed to have a meeting tomorrow.
- 1:18:23If you wouldn't mind meeting with him.
- 1:18:25Of course.
- 1:18:27All right. I just wanted to make sure you knew.
- 1:18:30Uh, are you coming back to bed
- 1:18:33soon?
- 1:18:34This will take men.
- 1:18:40Sounds wonderful, dear. Good night.
- 1:18:46He got out of it.
- 1:18:48Didn't even need the sleep spell.
- 1:18:53She jolts awake.
- 1:18:55What is that?
- 1:18:58Sleep spell?
- 1:19:01Oh, man.
- 1:19:02Maybe she doesn't honk shoe or Mimi.
- 1:19:04Me.
- 1:19:04She goes
- 1:19:08like a reverse winning.
- 1:19:10So.
- 1:19:22Uh.
- 1:19:36And you ride off into the night.
- 1:19:42Uh, did you have something you wanted? Well, I was going to say, when they're
- 1:19:45all loading up, Rourke's going to be dragging out
- 1:19:47a very filled sack
- 1:19:51that's making a lot of thumping noises
- 1:19:54as he drags it down the stairs
- 1:19:57and is struggling to get it onto the
- 1:19:59card.
- 1:20:01Is it your picture boy?
- 1:20:03I reach down and help him because.
- 1:20:04We got to get going. Check it out. It's filled
- 1:20:07with books. A lot of books,
- 1:20:10and then other various trinkets that he grabs across
- 1:20:13that room.
- 1:20:13All right, at the top of the
- 1:20:16stairs, you see movement, and you
- 1:20:19see, apparently, the specter of
- 1:20:22Pendleton coming.
- 1:20:41And with that, we'll close out this
- 1:20:44episode.
