- 0:55Speaker 3: Blutlet Cab podcast. We got a special guest in here,
- 0:58Speaker 3: Christian Orgrews two. It's out right now. I just told
- 1:00Speaker 3: Will today it might be your best album.
- 1:02Speaker 1: It is.
- 1:04Speaker 3: I think in terms of official releases, mixtapes aside. I
- 1:08Speaker 3: think it's your best album.
- 1:09Speaker 1: It is.
- 1:10Speaker 3: I think it might be better than Rolling Papers.
- 1:12Speaker 1: It is. I say it on the album it's the
- 1:15Speaker 1: best one yet.
- 1:16Speaker 3: Yeah. And then like, you know what I loved about
- 1:18Speaker 3: this project? Well, first of all, I was like very
- 1:22Speaker 3: nervous because when you name something after you know, a
- 1:27Speaker 3: classic like Cushion Orange Juice, the expectations are crazy. And
- 1:32Speaker 3: then sonically I'm like, well, damn, like it's twenty twenty five,
- 1:35Speaker 3: whereas west Head's going to be at But like man,
- 1:37Speaker 3: sonically it was right in that pocket.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Production wise, like very very happy that that's the reception
- 1:44Speaker 2: of it.
- 1:44Speaker 3: It was incredible. And then for you, like when you
- 1:50Speaker 3: started working on this, was it like intentional or did
- 1:53Speaker 3: it start to just feel like, oh, I think we
- 1:55Speaker 3: could do a Cushion Orange Juice too, or was it
- 1:57Speaker 3: like we're going to do a cushion Orange Juice too.
- 1:59Speaker 3: Let's go find those, let's go, you know, let's get
- 2:01Speaker 3: with Cardo let's give it, you know, the crew.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Like, yeah, it was. It was intentional, but it's something
- 2:06Speaker 2: that took a minute because you know, I had to
- 2:11Speaker 2: figure out like what that was like for real, Chris,
- 2:15Speaker 2: Cushion Oorjers is the music, but it's the feeling as well.
- 2:19Speaker 2: And I started the concept of Cushion Oorjews too really
- 2:25Speaker 2: like around this time last year, like when I started
- 2:28Speaker 2: thinking about doing it and I announced it to my
- 2:30Speaker 2: fans because I was in the studio and I was working,
- 2:33Speaker 2: and I was going through beats and I was just
- 2:35Speaker 2: trying to figure out like what direction I wanted to
- 2:37Speaker 2: go in, and I really just felt like taking it
- 2:41Speaker 2: back to my roots. I was like, I don't really
- 2:44Speaker 2: feel like trying anything new. I liked the newer styles
- 2:49Speaker 2: of music, like I love the production and I love
- 2:51Speaker 2: the energy and things like that, but I just couldn't
- 2:54Speaker 2: see myself like doing that for my next full project.
- 2:59Speaker 2: And yeah, to me, like the most exciting full project
- 3:06Speaker 2: for my fans and for anybody who really fucks with me.
- 3:10Speaker 2: I think Cushion Orange Juice Too would just be a
- 3:13Speaker 2: no brainer because if I try to make some ship up,
- 3:16Speaker 2: you know, it might hit or it might miss. But
- 3:20Speaker 2: with Cushion Orange Juice too. That's something that the fans
- 3:22Speaker 2: been asking me to do forever.
- 3:23Speaker 3: Yeah, you're exciting, you're exciting the basis.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Yeah, and they've also asked me to do it, and
- 3:27Speaker 2: I said I would. I never would, So I was like,
- 3:29Speaker 2: I'm never doing that, Like why would I do that?
- 3:32Speaker 1: Like why would I touch a classic?
- 3:33Speaker 2: So it was kind of just me like going back
- 3:37Speaker 2: to my roots and doing exactly what I know my
- 3:39Speaker 2: fans want me to do as opposed to trying to
- 3:42Speaker 2: make up some new ship.
- 3:44Speaker 1: And yeah, it was will and yeah, it was.
- 3:50Speaker 2: It was a process of finding the sound, finding the pocket,
- 3:56Speaker 2: getting people ready for to embrace it and digest it,
- 4:01Speaker 2: and then doing the things that I know that they
- 4:04Speaker 2: were like, like you said, getting with Cardo. Cardo is
- 4:07Speaker 2: so essential to the Cushion Orange Juice sound. It wouldn't
- 4:11Speaker 2: be what it is if I don't have these Cardo
- 4:13Speaker 2: beats on there.
- 4:15Speaker 1: And there's just moments and things.
- 4:17Speaker 2: That I do or my delivery or you know, just
- 4:21Speaker 2: the way that I rap or my tone of voice.
- 4:25Speaker 3: That I think your tone is important. Yeah, yeah, I
- 4:28Speaker 3: feel like these freestyles that tone is like, yeah, it's different. Yeah,
- 4:33Speaker 3: like it feels like like fucking BLOGI.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure, And that's something that I was able
- 4:39Speaker 2: to turn on, you know, just by being in touch
- 4:43Speaker 2: with the fans. Like it's not it's still my performance
- 4:47Speaker 2: voice is what you hear when I'm on stage and
- 4:49Speaker 2: things like that. But you know, there might be songs
- 4:52Speaker 2: where are like what's happening is a little bit more
- 4:55Speaker 2: laid back. There's there's songs where I can you know,
- 5:00Speaker 2: relax my voice or whatever whatever. But on this particular project,
- 5:04Speaker 2: I know, as soon as you hear it, what's gonna
- 5:07Speaker 2: sound like cushion orange juice. And it's not just me
- 5:09Speaker 2: like making this up. It's based off of my fans
- 5:12Speaker 2: in their reaction the.
- 5:14Speaker 3: Max Water Water, thank you, the Max be interlude, the
- 5:21Speaker 3: way you came in on that motherfucker.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Thank you man, it was crazy, thank you good?
- 5:25Speaker 3: Look what what how new is that? Max Be? Uh?
- 5:29Speaker 1: Like?
- 5:30Speaker 3: Was that something? Because it sounds good. Obviously it doesn't
- 5:32Speaker 3: sound like it's on the phone. It sounds like he
- 5:35Speaker 3: he probably you know, I don't know how he gets
- 5:39Speaker 3: that good, but whatever it was.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Now I appreciate it.
- 5:43Speaker 3: It's all energy drinks in there round water.
- 5:49Speaker 2: I have a big ass jug in the car if
- 5:50Speaker 2: you want to. Yeah, no, I'm glad the vocals sound
- 5:53Speaker 2: good on there.
- 5:53Speaker 1: I'm glad everybody's.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Damn near sounds like you've had it for like since
- 5:57Speaker 3: before he.
- 5:58Speaker 2: Was Nah, I mean, I definitely it's definitely a recent verse.
- 6:05Speaker 2: It's definitely something that you know, was specialized in, you know,
- 6:11Speaker 2: given to me personally from him. And I'm just glad
- 6:16Speaker 2: that it came off the right way, you know, because
- 6:19Speaker 2: that was like in my head, that was the Godfather moment,
- 6:23Speaker 2: you know, just to keep the wave alive and to
- 6:26Speaker 2: you know, show Max be his respect, but also like
- 6:29Speaker 2: bring it into now.
- 6:31Speaker 1: And like the way that I wanted to use it
- 6:33Speaker 1: in the.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Album was to keep the album flowing and not like,
- 6:39Speaker 2: you know, depend on this Max b moment, but have
- 6:44Speaker 2: it really paint the picture of the whole scenery of
- 6:47Speaker 2: what's going on. And that's why I think it does too.
- 6:50Speaker 2: It blends in as well as like stands out, you
- 6:53Speaker 2: know what I mean, because it was one of my
- 6:55Speaker 2: favorite songs from the beginning. I've had that song for
- 6:58Speaker 2: a year.
- 6:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I just feel like you came in, like it
- 7:01Speaker 3: reminds me of like when Rick Ross came in on
- 7:03Speaker 3: Devil in a New.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Dress, Like, Yeah, yeah, Sledgroing produced that one, so shout
- 7:09Speaker 2: out the Sledgeer.
- 7:10Speaker 3: You also like on this project, you have a very
- 7:14Speaker 3: very vulnerable for for whis Kalif a very vulnerable record.
- 7:17Speaker 3: The record with Rumor, the just to See You Smile
- 7:19Speaker 3: record where you dedicated to your your mother, your mom,
- 7:23Speaker 3: shot to moms and your brother who passed away. Was
- 7:27Speaker 3: that like when when you get into stud because I've
- 7:29Speaker 3: been in the studio with you, Is that the kind
- 7:30Speaker 3: of record where you could write that and record that
- 7:32Speaker 3: with the because your sessions are usually pretty vibe for
- 7:35Speaker 3: the most part. Yeah, Or is that some ship where
- 7:38Speaker 3: you got to like kind of clear the room, like
- 7:40Speaker 3: what was what was laying that down like and writing
- 7:42Speaker 3: that record?
- 7:43Speaker 2: I actually wrote that one at my house and but
- 7:47Speaker 2: I was on live.
- 7:48Speaker 1: I was on I Live.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Yeah, so it was something that I wrote in front
- 7:52Speaker 2: of people that I don't know it was like it
- 7:55Speaker 2: might have been like twenty five hundred people in the
- 7:57Speaker 2: live that day. But yeah, that was something that again
- 8:04Speaker 2: I wanted to feel confident presenting that to my fans and.
- 8:07Speaker 1: To the people who loved me. So if you're gonna
- 8:11Speaker 1: hear it later.
- 8:11Speaker 2: I want you to hear it while I'm making it
- 8:14Speaker 2: so I can know what pocket to be in and
- 8:16Speaker 2: what feels good and what was not. So that was
- 8:19Speaker 2: something that I was confident, more confident in making than
- 8:23Speaker 2: it was difficult to make. And me and Rumor we
- 8:28Speaker 2: had made. I think we did three songs in our
- 8:31Speaker 2: session that could have went towards Christian Orange Juice too,
- 8:35Speaker 2: but that one, to me, was the most meaningful and
- 8:39Speaker 2: the most It was the most It was the one
- 8:41Speaker 2: that stood out to the people who saw me recorded
- 8:44Speaker 2: the most as well. So wed I we decided on
- 8:48Speaker 2: that one, and when he gave me the hook, he
- 8:51Speaker 2: gave it to me, it was like, Yo, I know
- 8:54Speaker 2: you just had a daughter, so you know you might
- 8:55Speaker 2: be able to write the song about your daughter. And
- 9:00Speaker 2: but it just made me think about my mom more
- 9:03Speaker 2: than anything, cause she just moved out here to la
- 9:05Speaker 2: and I've been seeing her a lot, and she's been
- 9:07Speaker 2: hanging out with my kids, and it just, you know,
- 9:10Speaker 2: made me really just grateful for our relationship.
- 9:13Speaker 1: And then it also made me think about my brother
- 9:15Speaker 1: who passed.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Because during the month of February is when I was
- 9:21Speaker 2: writing a lot of this stuff and that's the month
- 9:23Speaker 2: that he passed away, and that's usually like a difficult
- 9:26Speaker 2: month for me. But as time got you know, as
- 9:30Speaker 2: more time went by, and especially this year, I was
- 9:33Speaker 2: just in a really good headspace. I was able to record,
- 9:35Speaker 2: I was able to work. I was able to you know,
- 9:38Speaker 2: play my son's birthday party, playing my mom's birthday party,
- 9:41Speaker 2: get a lot of my album you know, completed, and
- 9:45Speaker 2: do a lot of work on myself as well. So
- 9:47Speaker 2: it just felt really good to you know, kind of
- 9:50Speaker 2: just talk about you know, him too in our relationship.
- 9:53Speaker 3: What do you uh, you know, in terms of this
- 9:57Speaker 3: energy you've been on man with these freestyles, just bringing
- 10:01Speaker 3: back the nostalgic like even the style of these like
- 10:05Speaker 3: quick shoot music videos. Yeah, it just just very much
- 10:09Speaker 3: like puts me in that twenty ten eleven twelve space.
- 10:12Speaker 3: You know what inspired you to? I mean just because
- 10:16Speaker 3: I'm man, you've been in your back like in a
- 10:19Speaker 3: very very strong way. What has inspired the energy?
- 10:24Speaker 2: I knew I was getting into album mode and just
- 10:27Speaker 2: the energy of just keeping going and saying fuck it,
- 10:32Speaker 2: that's really inspirational. I know how that feels to be
- 10:37Speaker 2: inspired by that, and I know how it feels to
- 10:40Speaker 2: own that too, So I kind of just started applying
- 10:44Speaker 2: that and just said, fuck it, I'm a post, you know.
- 10:47Speaker 1: However many times a day. I'm a post.
- 10:50Speaker 2: However, whatever time I want to during the day, and
- 10:54Speaker 2: I'm gonna you know, kind of control the narrative and
- 10:59Speaker 2: allow my fans.
- 11:00Speaker 1: And people to really.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Enjoy it as much as I'm enjoying it, because when
- 11:06Speaker 2: they see me having fun and being free, then that
- 11:10Speaker 2: allows them to you know, feed off of it and
- 11:13Speaker 2: do what they do. If I hold on to it
- 11:16Speaker 2: or if I wait, or if I try to surprise them,
- 11:19Speaker 2: then they may or may not get it. But if
- 11:22Speaker 2: I get in my bag and it allows me to
- 11:25Speaker 2: practice too, Like it gives me a lot of like
- 11:27Speaker 2: practice for the things that I'm setting myself up for.
- 11:31Speaker 2: So there was only positive for me getting active and
- 11:35Speaker 2: doing stuff like that.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:36Speaker 3: I feel like two artists these days, like they don't
- 11:38Speaker 3: even think about Like all they think about is like, well,
- 11:40Speaker 3: if I put this out, I can't I can't really
- 11:42Speaker 3: monetize it. Like for example, you don't squabble up or
- 11:45Speaker 3: the Tupac freestyle, like those are like strictly for your fans. Yeah, yeah,
- 11:50Speaker 3: like you're not able to like put that on Spotify
- 11:51Speaker 3: or I feel like a lot of artists have gotten
- 11:54Speaker 3: so far away from the idea of like getting fans excited.
- 11:58Speaker 2: Right right, because yeah, it's easy to get away from
- 12:01Speaker 2: that because everybody wants that one big moment because they're
- 12:05Speaker 2: waiting for that one thing to go viral or whatever.
- 12:08Speaker 1: And my whole thing was and.
- 12:10Speaker 2: I talked to a problem or Jason Martin about this.
- 12:14Speaker 1: It was January, and he was like, man, what's up
- 12:16Speaker 1: with the album? Man? He was like getting frustrated a
- 12:20Speaker 1: little bit.
- 12:20Speaker 2: He's like, when we put an album out, I'm like,
- 12:22Speaker 2: you gotta wait, yo, Like, it's not gonna be one
- 12:26Speaker 2: thing that pushes this over. I was like, I'm gonna
- 12:30Speaker 2: be on like my fifteenth freestyle and then people will
- 12:33Speaker 2: finally get it, you know what I'm saying. Like, I've
- 12:35Speaker 2: already planned ahead, knowing that it was gonna take fifteen
- 12:39Speaker 2: twenty however many it ended up catching on way earlier
- 12:43Speaker 2: than I thought it would, but knowing that in the
- 12:47Speaker 2: long run, you have to set it up these small
- 12:50Speaker 2: little things that end up being you know, a big,
- 12:54Speaker 2: big wave that causes motion. But yeah, I'm not depending
- 12:58Speaker 2: on the one little thing I always just wanted to
- 13:01Speaker 2: keep building it up, and that was the idea behind
- 13:04Speaker 2: Christian Orange Juice too, as well as to extend the
- 13:07Speaker 2: experience as much as possible, like not just drop one
- 13:11Speaker 2: focused track and then dropped the track list and then
- 13:14Speaker 2: put the album out, because we would have been done already. Yeah,
- 13:17Speaker 2: so we wanted to extend it. We've been working this
- 13:20Speaker 2: album since October last year, so October, November, December, January, February, March,
- 13:26Speaker 2: and we dropped in April. So we worked the whole
- 13:29Speaker 2: album for six months before we even put it out,
- 13:32Speaker 2: and we put the album cover out back then as well,
- 13:35Speaker 2: So it's been in your brains and that was the
- 13:38Speaker 2: idea behind it.
- 13:40Speaker 3: Yo. Did do you know if Kendrick heard the Squabble
- 13:43Speaker 3: up remix?
- 13:44Speaker 1: He probably did at this point.
- 13:45Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel like because I played that shit on
- 13:48Speaker 3: the radio audire so I feel.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Like, yeah, yeah, I've heard that's type. Man. I appreciate that.
- 13:52Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, great, great, great freestyle. My favorite was
- 13:55Speaker 3: the pop one, the pop one, yea.
- 13:56Speaker 1: The prom was hard.
- 13:58Speaker 2: The freestyle's got such a great reception, Like, I'm such
- 14:02Speaker 2: a fan of that and I'm so happy that people
- 14:05Speaker 2: still receive that and that it was able to you know,
- 14:08Speaker 2: revive a feeling.
- 14:09Speaker 1: For people, because that's what it's all about.
- 14:11Speaker 2: And I feel like it sets it up for so
- 14:13Speaker 2: much more, like that was only the beginning.
- 14:16Speaker 3: Yeah, even like the cloud ship with coal.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Clouds with coal, yeah, all of them. I got a
- 14:20Speaker 2: special place in my heart for all my little babies.
- 14:23Speaker 3: So that like the col like record. Did he like
- 14:26Speaker 3: so he had sent that to you ahead of time?
- 14:27Speaker 2: Yeah, well he sent it to me to clear the
- 14:30Speaker 2: laugh because if yeah, there's like a whiskalif laugh.
- 14:34Speaker 1: And yeah, he didn't have to. He was just being
- 14:38Speaker 1: cool out of respect.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Out of respect, he showed love and was like, yo,
- 14:42Speaker 2: can we use the laugh? And then this is when
- 14:44Speaker 2: I was doing all the freestyles. I was on one.
- 14:46Speaker 2: I was like, Nigga, let me put a verse on there,
- 14:48Speaker 2: and he's like, all right, cool, So I put the
- 14:50Speaker 2: verse on there. But the same night, I just dropped
- 14:52Speaker 2: it on my Instagram like and then everybody started going crazy,
- 14:56Speaker 2: like people start picking it up, and it just created this,
- 14:59Speaker 2: you know, this whole narrative. So he ended up releasing
- 15:03Speaker 2: it on his website as well. But it was cool,
- 15:06Speaker 2: it was fun.
- 15:06Speaker 3: No he's doing a real good job of taking like
- 15:09Speaker 3: a non traditional approach to whatever we're in with him,
- 15:12Speaker 3: like this rollout, he's got blog posts and podcasts and YO,
- 15:19Speaker 3: talk to me because I've been saying this, like the
- 15:22Speaker 3: blog era of hip hop, you know, for all of
- 15:27Speaker 3: its strengths and weaknesses, to me, it was an era
- 15:30Speaker 3: where there were actually gatekeepers, but the gatekeepers had good
- 15:35Speaker 3: taste for the most part.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Who do you think we're the gatekeepers?
- 15:38Speaker 3: I just mean, like, you know, if you think about
- 15:40Speaker 3: like not right two dope boys, Like if like these
- 15:43Speaker 3: guys really, if they posted your music, they had the
- 15:45Speaker 3: power to like change your your your your momentum. There
- 15:49Speaker 3: was like a lot of those you know, whether it
- 15:52Speaker 3: was rap radar, whether it was there's so many of
- 15:56Speaker 3: those blogs.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Yeah, And I think the cool thing about that blog
- 15:59Speaker 2: era though, like it was blog era because of the blogs,
- 16:04Speaker 2: but it was bigger than the blogs though. It was
- 16:06Speaker 2: about the fans, right and it was everybody. We all
- 16:09Speaker 2: had our own fans, and the blogs were to entertain
- 16:14Speaker 2: the fans. Like we went to the blogs because that
- 16:17Speaker 2: was the underground at the time.
- 16:19Speaker 3: That was the underground for sure, and.
- 16:21Speaker 2: That was people's jobs who didn't make music. They were like, okay,
- 16:25Speaker 2: let me right, let me go and get a share.
- 16:29Speaker 3: Getting new music.
- 16:30Speaker 2: But the blog era the artists like we were on tour,
- 16:36Speaker 2: we were underground. We were just you know, in our fans' faces.
- 16:40Speaker 2: And I think that's bigger than the blogs to me. Like,
- 16:46Speaker 2: I love the blogs, but the blogs didn't make us though,
- 16:48Speaker 2: like Twitter, you know what I'm saying, YouTube and stuff
- 16:52Speaker 2: like that. That's what really really made it crack because
- 16:56Speaker 2: without that, we wouldn't have an outlet to our fans
- 16:59Speaker 2: that the picked up later.
- 17:01Speaker 3: It was almost like that was the first time that
- 17:03Speaker 3: artists had a direct to consumer.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly, exactly, and that was good. Yeah, And that
- 17:10Speaker 2: was good because with the blogs, they were directly running it,
- 17:14Speaker 2: so we didn't have to go to anybody, you know,
- 17:16Speaker 2: any higher ups. We had our direct to our fans,
- 17:19Speaker 2: and then we had our direct to our media as well,
- 17:22Speaker 2: so we didn't need anybody to promote us. We were
- 17:24Speaker 2: promoting ourselves through our network. That was the blog era,
- 17:29Speaker 2: and it was cool. It was fun. We were self
- 17:32Speaker 2: sufficient and we all knew each other, We all have
- 17:35Speaker 2: respect for each other, We all you know, we all
- 17:39Speaker 2: assisted each other's come ups, you know what I mean.
- 17:41Speaker 1: I don't think like one.
- 17:44Speaker 2: You know, like even even people like Drake, he started
- 17:48Speaker 2: exactly where where we all started from, doing exactly what
- 17:52Speaker 2: we were doing. And you know, his plan is what
- 17:55Speaker 2: got him to his super duper stardom, you know what
- 17:59Speaker 2: I'm saying. And even Kendrick too, he opened up for
- 18:03Speaker 2: me and Mac on tour crazy, you know what I mean.
- 18:06Speaker 2: So he was not under us, but we were all
- 18:09Speaker 2: literally on the same you know, path for a long time,
- 18:13Speaker 2: and the trajectory of it just panned out due to
- 18:16Speaker 2: like us as individuals and shit like that. But I
- 18:20Speaker 2: think there's way more strengths to the blog era than
- 18:23Speaker 2: there are weaknesses.
- 18:24Speaker 3: No, I think it was. I mean, it's my favorite
- 18:26Speaker 3: era of music ever, so.
- 18:27Speaker 2: Other than other than the nineties, like the you know
- 18:31Speaker 2: what I mean, like the Pioneer.
- 18:32Speaker 3: I just think of like the discovery of new shit
- 18:34Speaker 3: and how excited you were to discover like new shit,
- 18:37Speaker 3: and how easy it was back in the day. Yeah
- 18:39Speaker 3: you had to go to the record store and go
- 18:41Speaker 3: to hopefully find an album used, you know what I'm saying.
- 18:43Speaker 2: I like how safe the blog era was too. We
- 18:46Speaker 2: wasn't worried about too much. We wasn't really like shooting
- 18:49Speaker 2: at each other. Nobody was killing each other, nobody was
- 18:54Speaker 2: you know, using you know, too hard a drugs. Lean
- 18:58Speaker 2: started to like come in towards the end of it,
- 19:01Speaker 2: but it wasn't really about all of that ship like before,
- 19:04Speaker 2: and it was really safe and we were promoting safe stuff.
- 19:08Speaker 2: We were promoting stuff that you know, later on in
- 19:11Speaker 2: life you could still apply these values and more. And
- 19:16Speaker 2: you know, like I said, in the nineties, people were
- 19:19Speaker 2: very diverse, and in the blog era was really diverse
- 19:22Speaker 2: as well. Like you had freaking Freddy Gibbs, and you
- 19:27Speaker 2: had flat Bush zombies, and you had you know, currency,
- 19:30Speaker 2: and you.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Had motherfucker, you had Mike Posner. Mike Posner.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Yeah, just like random everybody who was popping up in
- 19:41Speaker 2: a blog eraro was cracking, Like you.
- 19:42Speaker 3: Had a big crid in Ritz and they had like
- 19:45Speaker 3: a fuck yellow wolf. Who else was just crazy ye had?
- 19:48Speaker 1: So yeah, there's a you had. Yeah, you know.
- 19:52Speaker 3: Charles Hamilton was hard.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Charles Hamilton, great name in the blog era.
- 19:56Speaker 3: Yo pill was dope pill. Charles Hamilton, though sick, he
- 20:00Speaker 3: was one of He.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Was one of the ones.
- 20:02Speaker 3: He was very consistent, even like the the mood music
- 20:07Speaker 3: ship that Joe Butden.
- 20:08Speaker 1: Joe Budden was doing mood music so good man.
- 20:11Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, I feel like glass House is kind of
- 20:13Speaker 3: like the the quintessential like put it in, put it
- 20:16Speaker 3: on the mantle of blog era rap, thank you? Yeah,
- 20:19Speaker 3: I mean it was on two Black Classic projects.
- 20:21Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah we made that at south By Southwest damn.
- 20:26Speaker 1: Rest in peace in the Airbnb.
- 20:28Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, south By Southwest used to be the ship
- 20:31Speaker 3: man ill Moore was cracking.
- 20:33Speaker 2: The ill Moore was jumping. We just used to roam
- 20:36Speaker 2: the streets the south By Southwest. That's that's she used
- 20:38Speaker 2: to be fun. I was was the blog air days.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Yo.
- 20:44Speaker 3: The headline that's going around today, you're the latest flat earther.
- 20:49Speaker 1: For real? Yeah?
- 20:51Speaker 3: I saw, she said. I heard your explanation on the
- 20:54Speaker 3: Joe Budden podcast. Yeah, so break because you have obviously
- 20:59Speaker 3: been all over the world. Do you truly think that
- 21:03Speaker 3: we live on a flat plane? Is that I'm just
- 21:05Speaker 3: I'm just trying to just watch out idea a little more.
- 21:08Speaker 2: I just believe more what I see than what I
- 21:12Speaker 2: what you're told. What I'm told, especially the older that
- 21:14Speaker 2: I get and the whole concept of space is way
- 21:22Speaker 2: too big for my imagination anyway, It's too big for
- 21:25Speaker 2: a lot of our imaginations. We would love to believe that,
- 21:27Speaker 2: we could think we know what the shape of the
- 21:30Speaker 2: world is, but the reality behind that is like, it's impossible.
- 21:35Speaker 2: So you choose what you want to believe, even if
- 21:38Speaker 2: they are facts supported by you know, scientists or uh whatever, whatever.
- 21:46Speaker 1: You believe that. You know what I'm saying, it's a belief.
- 21:48Speaker 3: It's not they haven't that. It's like most of these
- 21:51Speaker 3: people haven't been in space.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Yeah, it's just a belief. You just choose what to believe. Yeah,
- 21:56Speaker 1: that's all. So.
- 21:57Speaker 2: I don't even think that there's right or wrong. I
- 21:58Speaker 2: think that people choose what they want to believe. If
- 22:01Speaker 2: you choose to believe that what the scientists say, cool.
- 22:06Speaker 2: If you choose to travel and find out for yourself
- 22:11Speaker 2: or see as much as you can for yourself and
- 22:14Speaker 2: base your beliefs off of that, then you know that's
- 22:18Speaker 2: another choice. And that's more or less what I did.
- 22:20Speaker 2: And based off of me traveling, I've only moved flat,
- 22:25Speaker 2: I've only moved and looking at the map and how
- 22:28Speaker 2: we in the routes that we take, it doesn't seem
- 22:32Speaker 2: like we're going around anything. It just seems like we're
- 22:35Speaker 2: just going straight over you know what I mean, over
- 22:40Speaker 2: top of where it could look like a circle. It
- 22:43Speaker 2: could be circular if you rounded it out, but if
- 22:48Speaker 2: it's just one thing, it connects exactly the same.
- 22:52Speaker 1: So I just don't see the difference.
- 22:55Speaker 3: That's fair. Yeah, I also find it very peculiar that
- 22:58Speaker 3: we were able to go to the Moon in the
- 22:59Speaker 3: sixties but we have yet to do that.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Again, that's questionable. A lot of stuff is questionable.
- 23:05Speaker 3: Like I think the whole moonshit was.
- 23:07Speaker 2: When you start allowing me to question things, that's when
- 23:10Speaker 2: I start to believe other things right, And I'm not
- 23:14Speaker 2: like sold on anything, but it's just from my experience
- 23:19Speaker 2: it really don't even matter to me all like that
- 23:21Speaker 2: because I'm not leaving Earth anytime soon to find out.
- 23:24Speaker 3: Are you going to if Jeff Bezos hit you to
- 23:27Speaker 3: take the Katy Perry flight, are you doing it?
- 23:29Speaker 2: And no, I'm good man, I won't I won't gain
- 23:32Speaker 2: I won't gain anything from that. But it's just funny
- 23:35Speaker 2: to me, like how like people are so tripped out
- 23:39Speaker 2: about either the Earth being around or the Earth being flat,
- 23:43Speaker 2: Like you can argue about that all day, Like you
- 23:47Speaker 2: can't argue that that hat is black. That's that black hat, right, correct? Yeah,
- 23:51Speaker 2: so like we can't argue about that that's a fact.
- 23:55Speaker 2: It's not a fact of either, like you know what
- 23:58Speaker 2: I'm saying. It's just whatever you believe, even like you.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Know what I'm saying.
- 24:01Speaker 2: So, yeah, it might seem cool to like go back
- 24:06Speaker 2: and forth and all of this, but nobody really fucking
- 24:09Speaker 2: knows who knows who knows?
- 24:12Speaker 3: I feel like if there's like anybody who would have known,
- 24:16Speaker 3: they wouldn't They obviously probably wouldn't be here anymore because
- 24:18Speaker 3: they would have fallen off the who knows the side
- 24:22Speaker 3: who knows? The permuter triangle could be where the Earth ends,
- 24:24Speaker 3: because a lot of people disappear when there's that permute,
- 24:28Speaker 3: A little that's probably a vortex, some sort of alien.
- 24:32Speaker 1: So much stuff as possible.
- 24:34Speaker 2: They say that that that this is where we live,
- 24:36Speaker 2: and that there's so much earth. There's like ice walls
- 24:40Speaker 2: that we can't go past. Have you heard about that?
- 24:43Speaker 3: Yeah? So my producer, my producer is, do you believe
- 24:46Speaker 3: that's a flat earther? Yeah?
- 24:48Speaker 1: But do you believe in the ice walls? I don't
- 24:51Speaker 1: why not.
- 24:51Speaker 3: I don't know. See, I don't how about this, I
- 24:55Speaker 3: don't know, you don't want to how about this? I
- 24:57Speaker 3: don't know.
- 24:58Speaker 1: You don't know what.
- 25:00Speaker 3: We don't know exactly who knows? It's my whole entire
- 25:03Speaker 3: approach approach. That's my approach with religion because I'm not
- 25:06Speaker 3: a religious person. But like the people who would know
- 25:10Speaker 3: what happens to you after you die are dead, so
- 25:13Speaker 3: like we just choose.
- 25:14Speaker 1: To believe, Like I don't think that they're dead, you know.
- 25:18Speaker 3: I'm saying that those people, like whatever whatever happens once
- 25:21Speaker 3: we transition to whatever is next, how do we It's
- 25:25Speaker 3: not like we could find out firsthand what they had,
- 25:27Speaker 3: what they went through once they passed away. Like, so
- 25:30Speaker 3: I feel like most religion is you know, it's it's
- 25:33Speaker 3: it's all very similar and it's all very man made.
- 25:36Speaker 3: But like who really knows?
- 25:38Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, and not who as in who,
- 25:43Speaker 1: but who.
- 25:49Speaker 3: You. I know you've done a lot. I know you've
- 25:51Speaker 3: done a lot of shrooms and ship do you feel
- 25:52Speaker 3: like when you've I don't know if you've had like
- 25:54Speaker 3: that like kind of spiritual breakthrough or you feel like
- 25:57Speaker 3: super small on psychedelics. I feel like that is being
- 26:02Speaker 3: like super fucked up on mushrooms. I think I ate
- 26:05Speaker 3: eighth ones and I was just I was tore back, dude.
- 26:08Speaker 3: It's like the closest thing I've ever been to like believing,
- 26:11Speaker 3: like damn, maybe there's some other shit going on.
- 26:14Speaker 2: There has to be some other shit going on. We
- 26:17Speaker 2: are a speck in the universe. That's that's for real.
- 26:23Speaker 3: That believe aliens.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Yeah, I believe in aliens. I believe that.
- 26:29Speaker 2: I read a lot of books and stuff like that,
- 26:32Speaker 2: and in some of the books they talk about like
- 26:34Speaker 2: sharing technology with aliens.
- 26:38Speaker 1: Yeah, since at least the seventies.
- 26:41Speaker 3: At least I think Roswell was before then, though, Yeah,
- 26:44Speaker 3: because I just saw like an article where they said
- 26:46Speaker 3: that they tried to reverse engineer or whatever the Roswell
- 26:51Speaker 3: crash was back then and they failed.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Yeah. But to me, it's like much cooler to believe
- 26:57Speaker 1: that shit than to not believe it.
- 26:58Speaker 3: It also makes sense it does.
- 27:00Speaker 2: To me too, bro, how this world is, because like, damn, bro,
- 27:06Speaker 2: you know, they would love to like keep us blind
- 27:10Speaker 2: and just keep us right where we're at. But the
- 27:13Speaker 2: more we start to like get the information, they're like Oh,
- 27:16Speaker 2: they won't believe it.
- 27:17Speaker 1: It just sounds fucking crazy, so they'll never believe it.
- 27:19Speaker 3: Did you know, I don't know, Like last year they
- 27:21Speaker 3: had those hearings about the UFOs and the Pentagon acknowledged. Yeah,
- 27:26Speaker 3: but during that time, there was so much political shit
- 27:30Speaker 3: just getting thrown at the wall that it just like
- 27:32Speaker 3: came and went like if that shit was like in
- 27:34Speaker 3: like ninety nine and they told us UFOs are real,
- 27:37Speaker 3: be the biggest fuck. Everybody be losing their fucking mind. Yeah,
- 27:39Speaker 3: it was just another too, like no one cared.
- 27:42Speaker 1: Here, nobody gives a fuck.
- 27:46Speaker 2: This is so much going on, and we're like, even
- 27:49Speaker 2: if they like start exposing it, people will be completely
- 27:52Speaker 2: fine with it because it's like there's so much other
- 27:56Speaker 2: shit going on.
- 27:56Speaker 3: I think we've been preconditioned with movies and TV shows
- 27:59Speaker 3: to if we found out aliens are real, we all
- 28:02Speaker 3: are kind of mentally, whether we know or not, just
- 28:04Speaker 3: kind of like okay with it.
- 28:05Speaker 2: Yeah, well I think they that they like, like you said,
- 28:09Speaker 2: they conditioned us, but they made aliens look like little roundhead,
- 28:13Speaker 2: little bug eye things.
- 28:14Speaker 3: If they like, yeah, if they will they look like
- 28:18Speaker 3: the predator, We're all freaking out.
- 28:19Speaker 1: They might look like us.
- 28:21Speaker 3: They might feel me.
- 28:23Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying.
- 28:23Speaker 2: They might look exactly like us, And that's why they
- 28:28Speaker 2: did all of that to throw us off.
- 28:30Speaker 3: If anyone's an alien, my money, if you had, you know,
- 28:34Speaker 3: the betting favorite in Vegas would probably be Elon. You
- 28:37Speaker 3: think I think he'd be the betting favorite.
- 28:40Speaker 2: He might be mixed with alien maybe, yeah, I think
- 28:43Speaker 2: he's like a hybrid.
- 28:47Speaker 3: I'm trying to think who else is very like alien like?
- 28:51Speaker 3: Kanye is not? No Victor Webmanyanna from the.
- 28:55Speaker 2: Spurs all right, shout trying to think about alien.
- 28:59Speaker 3: Like people, alien like people. Breeze could be an alien.
- 29:06Speaker 1: Trying to think of a real deal freaking alien. I
- 29:09Speaker 1: don't know, man, they hear though.
- 29:13Speaker 3: I feel like most of the tech guys are very
- 29:15Speaker 3: like like Mark Zuckerberg feels like he could be like
- 29:18Speaker 3: like inside of his brain, there's like do you remember
- 29:21Speaker 3: from the Ninja Turtles Crane like inside life on men
- 29:25Speaker 3: and yeah, and he's like driving the person and ship.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that type of stuff.
- 29:32Speaker 3: Talk to me. You obviously, you know you were ahead
- 29:35Speaker 3: of the curve in terms of like doing the vlog thing.
- 29:38Speaker 3: You still do it. You still do the day to
- 29:39Speaker 3: day stuff, and then recently you've started to embrace like
- 29:44Speaker 3: the new wave of hip hop media and just media
- 29:47Speaker 3: in general, and where the attention is at the streaming shit.
- 29:51Speaker 3: What what's your thoughts on the streaming ship? I know
- 29:53Speaker 3: you were with Playboy Max and you went over to
- 29:55Speaker 3: h dd G ship. You're at DG sh right, Yep, Yeah,
- 29:59Speaker 3: that was a production. Yeah it would you ever dip
- 30:04Speaker 3: into the like you're obviously have gone on live with
- 30:06Speaker 3: fans and stuff, like an official Whiz stream on Twitch.
- 30:10Speaker 2: I would do a stream, I would fuck with one
- 30:13Speaker 2: or two, but I wouldn't become a streamer. I wouldn't
- 30:16Speaker 2: do it like full time.
- 30:18Speaker 3: It's a commitment.
- 30:19Speaker 1: It's a huge commitment.
- 30:21Speaker 2: A lot goes into it, gotta there's ups and downs
- 30:25Speaker 2: every stream, ate the one, you know what I mean.
- 30:28Speaker 3: And then you're super exposed.
- 30:30Speaker 2: Hell exposed, and it just takes all the time away
- 30:33Speaker 2: from all the other stuff that you have to do.
- 30:35Speaker 1: Which is cool if that's how you're coming up.
- 30:39Speaker 2: Yeah, because those dudes put a lot of time into it,
- 30:41Speaker 2: put a lot of effort into it, and the ones
- 30:44Speaker 2: who win are the ones who outstream each other. It's
- 30:47Speaker 2: not a popularity contest. It's a work, hard, grind contest,
- 30:53Speaker 2: and I love that for them because they're able to
- 30:56Speaker 2: you know, come from nothing and start from real humble
- 31:01Speaker 2: beginnings and based off of their work ethic and their
- 31:06Speaker 2: you know, communication with their fans, they're able to build
- 31:11Speaker 2: you know, their own companies and make other companies a
- 31:14Speaker 2: lot of money, which is cool.
- 31:16Speaker 1: I love.
- 31:17Speaker 3: I mean you were doing you were doing a game
- 31:18Speaker 3: like I've been your video game.
- 31:20Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, I've done that stuff, which is in
- 31:23Speaker 2: support of my you know, efforts to get in that world.
- 31:28Speaker 2: But for me personally, I can't see myself putting all
- 31:33Speaker 2: of that time into it because you know, that's what
- 31:36Speaker 2: they do.
- 31:37Speaker 1: Like that's like asking them, one of them to come
- 31:39Speaker 1: on tour, ye.
- 31:42Speaker 2: You know, put an album out, put an album out promoted,
- 31:45Speaker 2: go on promo tour, go on tour after it different.
- 31:48Speaker 2: They might want to do a song or two, but
- 31:50Speaker 2: they ain't trying to do all of that. So it's
- 31:52Speaker 2: the same thing. Like I think when it works for
- 31:55Speaker 2: me to pop in, I pop in, I show love.
- 31:57Speaker 2: I understand the importance of the platform and support it genuinely,
- 32:01Speaker 2: and that's pretty much how that goes.
- 32:05Speaker 3: Yo, you got to Uh, you were on a Jelly
- 32:09Speaker 3: Rolls album. Yep, you've done Stagecoach before. Would you ever
- 32:14Speaker 3: like do like a like a country esque like body
- 32:18Speaker 3: of work because a lot of rappers are doing country
- 32:21Speaker 3: songs right now.
- 32:22Speaker 1: I tried.
- 32:23Speaker 2: I recorded like a little country pack, Yeah, and I
- 32:30Speaker 2: listened to it and I just didn't. I didn't think
- 32:32Speaker 2: it was I didn't think it sounded right.
- 32:35Speaker 3: Thank you for that, buddy. I thought for sure you
- 32:39Speaker 3: were cooking something.
- 32:40Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, because I saw like.
- 32:41Speaker 3: You do, like a big ex of the player has
- 32:43Speaker 3: done such a good job because he's just doing him.
- 32:46Speaker 2: Thank you for putting it out. No, for sure, Yeah, no,
- 32:48Speaker 2: it wasn't it. It's not what people want from me.
- 32:50Speaker 3: Yeah. I feel like I feel like, you know, you
- 32:53Speaker 3: gotta know what people want. You gotta know what people
- 32:54Speaker 3: want from you, and you gotta, you know, be very
- 32:57Speaker 3: self aware when you're like, yo, this sounds like I'm forcunate.
- 33:00Speaker 3: It's got to be organic too, Like.
- 33:01Speaker 1: It's got to be organic.
- 33:02Speaker 2: It was fun, it was cool, and as much as
- 33:04Speaker 2: I would just love to just love my own music,
- 33:08Speaker 2: it was like, that's not what I wanted to represent
- 33:10Speaker 2: myself with. And that's not I'm people. They don't want
- 33:14Speaker 2: that from me. They want to.
- 33:19Speaker 3: One hundred. Is there a song of yours? Because you
- 33:24Speaker 3: I like the tour this summer, because you're you're doing
- 33:27Speaker 3: smaller venues. It's Taylor Gang tour. You know what I'm saying.
- 33:32Speaker 3: Chevy's opening and and Bonics will be there. Obviously Bonics
- 33:36Speaker 3: is all at all the shows, but he's on the bill.
- 33:39Speaker 3: Shouts to Bonics. Is there a song you're tired of performing?
- 33:44Speaker 1: Like?
- 33:44Speaker 3: What is the one song? If if you? I mean,
- 33:46Speaker 3: obviously you have so many big records, but there's got
- 33:48Speaker 3: to be one that where you're just like, no.
- 33:49Speaker 2: No, I don't have any songs that I'm tired of performing.
- 33:52Speaker 2: I love performing all my songs. I explained it as
- 33:56Speaker 2: there could be somebody who's been a fan of mine
- 33:58Speaker 2: for at least fifteen years. Christian Orange is fifteen years old,
- 34:02Speaker 2: So you can be a fan of mine for at
- 34:03Speaker 2: least fifteen years and not have ever been able to
- 34:08Speaker 2: be able to make it to one show.
- 34:10Speaker 1: And this might be the show that you make it to.
- 34:12Speaker 2: And if I'm tired of performing your favorite song, and
- 34:16Speaker 2: god forbid, I don't perform it or perform it with
- 34:18Speaker 2: not enough energy.
- 34:19Speaker 1: That's gonna ruin your whole experience. It's not on me,
- 34:23Speaker 1: it's on you. I got you.
- 34:24Speaker 3: Are you going to bring out any like B side
- 34:27Speaker 3: shit or any any like random for the Newtoria. Yeah.
- 34:31Speaker 2: Yeah, we're starting off like the intimate running. Then we're
- 34:34Speaker 2: gonna go do amphitheaters after. And so with the intimate run,
- 34:39Speaker 2: that's the exact point is to start with the new
- 34:43Speaker 2: music and kind of engrave that and the people show
- 34:46Speaker 2: them how to move to it, get them used to it,
- 34:48Speaker 2: and try some stuff out for the bigger stages as well,
- 34:52Speaker 2: and create that sense of urgency too. Like I was
- 34:55Speaker 2: talking with somebody and they told me that there was
- 34:58Speaker 2: a concert that only had two thousand tickets and that
- 35:02Speaker 2: they were just so pissed because they couldn't get one,
- 35:04Speaker 2: as opposed to.
- 35:05Speaker 1: Like, you know, having the option to get one. I
- 35:08Speaker 1: may or may not go.
- 35:10Speaker 2: They were like, I need to get a ticket, and
- 35:12Speaker 2: I'm like, that's that's a really good feeling. It's a
- 35:15Speaker 2: good opportunity for me to connect with fans who haven't
- 35:18Speaker 2: been to some shows, or you know, sometimes the show
- 35:22Speaker 2: may be a little too far out, or it might
- 35:24Speaker 2: cost a little bit too much money do some merge.
- 35:27Speaker 2: It just creates a really good experience that I know
- 35:30Speaker 2: lasts forever, and especially with having new music, I've had
- 35:34Speaker 2: this feeling before. I know what this this feels like,
- 35:37Speaker 2: like you said, like this being one of my best albums,
- 35:40Speaker 2: my best album actually just as far as albums, but
- 35:43Speaker 2: as far as my collection goes. I've had projects where
- 35:46Speaker 2: I've dropped them and I felt good about them. I've
- 35:48Speaker 2: had projects where I've dropped them and I wasn't, you know,
- 35:51Speaker 2: as connected to them, but knowing how Cushing Orange Juice
- 35:55Speaker 2: felt just as a whole reaction wise and plan wise,
- 36:00Speaker 2: trajectory wise, this feels, you know, very very familiar. So
- 36:06Speaker 2: I love this feeling that I'm capitalized on off of it,
- 36:08Speaker 2: and I'm doing all of the right moves to make
- 36:11Speaker 2: this whole experience what it's supposed to be, not just
- 36:13Speaker 2: the music, but make memories.
- 36:15Speaker 3: I saw a mixtape mount Rushmore floating around online. Did
- 36:20Speaker 3: you see that? Yeah, Big fifty was on there. Wayne.
- 36:23Speaker 3: I feel like you got to be on there because
- 36:25Speaker 3: I feel.
- 36:25Speaker 1: Like, yeah, for sure, Christian or Juice is.
- 36:27Speaker 3: Probably the greatest mixtape of Maybe I make the next one,
- 36:30Speaker 3: but who I mean, I think some somebody just generated
- 36:33Speaker 3: it on j GPT. But with that being said, who
- 36:35Speaker 3: would you have up there with you on the mixtape
- 36:37Speaker 3: Mount Rushmore. Let's say your era though, because I think
- 36:40Speaker 3: it's easy to say fifty fifty e fifties, like forever
- 36:44Speaker 3: up there.
- 36:46Speaker 1: Currency me Max B.
- 36:53Speaker 4: So for everybody who's on the album, Oh yeah, yeah,
- 36:57Speaker 4: yeah exactly, and you're talking about like twenty ten. Yeah,
- 37:02Speaker 4: who's stay consistent with mixtapes?
- 37:05Speaker 2: Little bee shout, Yeah, it'll be.
- 37:09Speaker 3: Had a lot of ship out. Yeah yeah, and yo,
- 37:14Speaker 3: someone needs to bring back the dance, the cook the
- 37:17Speaker 3: cooking d Yeah, and everybody was saying swag yeah, yeah
- 37:26Speaker 3: shouts a little bee man, protect a little be at
- 37:28Speaker 3: all costs. Once you said that you're gonna do ampathey
- 37:32Speaker 3: to run after the intimate run, Yeah, have you figured
- 37:35Speaker 3: out because you're the summer that's.
- 37:38Speaker 1: What you do. Yeah.
- 37:39Speaker 2: Yeah, we haven't announced it yet, but that announcements coming
- 37:43Speaker 2: real soon.
- 37:44Speaker 3: Are you How often are you doing more tie a week?
- 37:47Speaker 1: I'm still doing five days a week.
- 37:49Speaker 3: Damn.
- 37:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm doing muy Thai five days a week. I'm
- 37:52Speaker 2: doing hot yoga three days a week now so I'm
- 37:55Speaker 2: doing all that stuff now.
- 37:56Speaker 3: Is it like, while you're working on the album you
- 37:59Speaker 3: have late night studio sessions? Is it a bitch? Like
- 38:03Speaker 3: we'll get up the next day and still nah nah,
- 38:06Speaker 3: Like like are you napping? You got like a cool
- 38:08Speaker 3: nap hour?
- 38:08Speaker 1: Like yeah, do I get a little napping?
- 38:10Speaker 3: I feel like you kind of need it.
- 38:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I needed a little napping. After two o'clock is
- 38:16Speaker 2: when I get out of yoga. So between like I
- 38:18Speaker 2: get home around like three and I eight lunch, So
- 38:22Speaker 2: between like four and six, I get a little nap
- 38:26Speaker 2: because then I'm up and then I make sure my
- 38:28Speaker 2: kids go to sleep and all that. I'm usually I'm
- 38:30Speaker 2: awake with my kids in the morning before I go
- 38:33Speaker 2: to the gym, and I'm with them before they go
- 38:35Speaker 2: to bed, and then that's when I go to the studio.
- 38:38Speaker 3: What is the difference been, Because there's obviously there's the
- 38:42Speaker 3: experience of being a dad for the first time, yeah,
- 38:45Speaker 3: and learning everything. What has been the experience having your
- 38:49Speaker 3: second kid and and and you know now that you've
- 38:52Speaker 3: cause you're your son bashes like he a little dude,
- 38:55Speaker 3: Like he's grown.
- 38:56Speaker 1: Yeah, he's up there.
- 38:57Speaker 3: But like, what is the experience been like the second
- 38:59Speaker 3: go around for you.
- 39:00Speaker 1: It's.
- 39:02Speaker 2: It's really awesome, like for me because I'm in a
- 39:05Speaker 2: great headspace. I'm in a great space for my family,
- 39:10Speaker 2: I'm in a great space just like as a human being.
- 39:14Speaker 2: So just having that and knowing where my values are
- 39:19Speaker 2: as well being able to do all of this stuff
- 39:22Speaker 2: like you said, and then make it home to my
- 39:25Speaker 2: babies in my newborn you know what I'm saying. Like
- 39:29Speaker 2: people think that you have to sacrifice that, like you
- 39:32Speaker 2: have to like for sure, you know what I mean.
- 39:34Speaker 2: But I'm like, no, I'm doing all of this and
- 39:36Speaker 2: I'm waking up going to sleep next to this motherfucker.
- 39:40Speaker 1: So it's a beautiful thing.
- 39:42Speaker 2: Just to be able to balance that and know that
- 39:45Speaker 2: that's where my superpowers come from.
- 39:48Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, no, I think that's dope. Yeah, Like you said,
- 39:50Speaker 3: people feel like if you have to have a certain
- 39:52Speaker 3: level of success, like your fatherhood's got to dip off, Yeah,
- 39:56Speaker 3: your personal life's got to And yeah, at times I'm
- 39:59Speaker 3: sure can but at times.
- 40:03Speaker 2: But those times are like when it's absolutely one necessary,
- 40:07Speaker 2: when there's no other option.
- 40:09Speaker 1: It's not.
- 40:11Speaker 2: You know, it's not me giving in and you know,
- 40:16Speaker 2: saying that I can do that later. Everything revolves around
- 40:20Speaker 2: that and when the time comes then of course, you know,
- 40:24Speaker 2: we do what we have to do. But for me,
- 40:28Speaker 2: I just know how important that is to do both
- 40:32Speaker 2: as opposed to just one or the other.
- 40:34Speaker 3: And you got to learn how to, like, you got
- 40:35Speaker 3: to really know how to say no to shit too.
- 40:39Speaker 2: You gotta know when to put your foot on the
- 40:41Speaker 2: guys and when to you know, just let the car cruise.
- 40:44Speaker 1: You still have motion, you know what I'm saying.
- 40:47Speaker 3: Do the baby mamas get along. Everything's kosher.
- 40:49Speaker 1: The baby mamas get along.
- 40:51Speaker 2: Everybody's everybody's Cool's one big, happy family.
- 40:54Speaker 1: As far as parenting goes.
- 40:56Speaker 3: Of course. I mean you guys have always been great
- 40:58Speaker 3: co parents.
- 40:58Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, we're really cool.
- 41:00Speaker 2: The respect level is super duper high, the fun level
- 41:04Speaker 2: is super high, the communication is good. What else, It's
- 41:12Speaker 2: just a good team, man, Yeah, really good teams.
- 41:14Speaker 3: You've somehow hacked that shit well, everybody being these toxic
- 41:19Speaker 3: as relationships with their ex and their kids. Mom, you
- 41:22Speaker 3: and Amber have had the shit hacked for like ten years.
- 41:24Speaker 1: Not for Shure, man.
- 41:25Speaker 2: We figured it out for sure, And you know, I
- 41:29Speaker 2: wouldn't say it's not easy, but it is easy with her.
- 41:31Speaker 1: We don't we don't really go through anything.
- 41:34Speaker 3: Do you feel like like when you see, like obviously
- 41:36Speaker 3: she was a big Trump supporter, she spoke at the RNC. Yeah,
- 41:40Speaker 3: but like it was funny to see like so many
- 41:42Speaker 3: people who like fucked with Amber turn up on her online,
- 41:47Speaker 3: Like like when you see that kind of shit, does
- 41:49Speaker 3: it like bother you?
- 41:50Speaker 2: I don't really read that stuff. I don't look at
- 41:52Speaker 2: that that shiit like, I'm not into it. It's better
- 41:58Speaker 2: to just act like it doesn't exist because it's not
- 42:03Speaker 2: real life. It's the Internet. It's fair.
- 42:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 42:05Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's what I explained to her too, Like
- 42:08Speaker 2: when she even made that decision, I was like, you know,
- 42:12Speaker 2: if people stop fucking what you based off of what
- 42:15Speaker 2: you do, they was just looking for a reason and
- 42:17Speaker 2: not fuck with you anyway. Yeah, so it's like it's
- 42:21Speaker 2: not even worth it.
- 42:23Speaker 3: One hundred Yeah. Would you ever do another movie?
- 42:27Speaker 1: Wiz? Yes? Absolutely. I feel like I'm working on a
- 42:30Speaker 1: movie now.
- 42:30Speaker 2: It's called Moses the Black Oh really yeah yeah, it's
- 42:35Speaker 2: with Omar Ebbs and some other cast members.
- 42:39Speaker 3: I feel like you have obviously you have a you know,
- 42:42Speaker 3: a cult classic with Snoop and then you have the
- 42:44Speaker 3: really really the weird Cowboy movie.
- 42:47Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I have a cameo in a Cowboy movie.
- 42:51Speaker 1: It was funny though. I liked that.
- 42:52Speaker 3: You know, it's funny too, because like I looked at
- 42:54Speaker 3: that movie, like I'm sure like when we were growing up,
- 42:56Speaker 3: like you'd see like Nas would be in a movie,
- 43:00Speaker 3: like you go to Blockbuster and they just have a
- 43:01Speaker 3: picture of Nas, yeah, and then you'd rent it and
- 43:04Speaker 3: it would be like a quick cameo, die real quick.
- 43:08Speaker 3: Or then there'd be like you know, bust A rhymes
- 43:10Speaker 3: and exhibiting full clip.
- 43:11Speaker 2: Yeah, you've ever bro It's the DVD days right there,
- 43:16Speaker 2: straight to dvd.
- 43:17Speaker 3: What do you think is the worst rap movie ever?
- 43:19Speaker 3: I'm gonna say Belly too, starting the Gamers.
- 43:21Speaker 2: I didn't even watch that. What's the worst rap movie
- 43:25Speaker 2: that I've seen? I usually like all the rap movies.
- 43:28Speaker 2: I like like Kill the Season, Classic, Yeah, I like
- 43:31Speaker 2: State Property.
- 43:35Speaker 3: I Got the hook up? Was that ship?
- 43:36Speaker 1: I got the Hookup? Was hard? All master P movies
- 43:39Speaker 1: was hard. I'm about it was hard.
- 43:41Speaker 3: I'm about it was dope. Yeah, master P man he
- 43:42Speaker 3: had some ship.
- 43:43Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, Mac and Devon go to high school
- 43:47Speaker 2: was hard bro for sure.
- 43:49Speaker 1: That was a good movie.
- 43:51Speaker 3: I always say that Belly is the best worst ever.
- 43:55Speaker 2: The storyline gets a little trip, yes, but it's like
- 43:59Speaker 2: they threw all these like all your favorite like yeah
- 44:02Speaker 2: parts of your favorite, like yeah, all into.
- 44:04Speaker 1: One out of respect.
- 44:05Speaker 3: I just love it though, Oh instead of I'm just
- 44:07Speaker 3: mad Hip Williams didn't do more movies because it was
- 44:10Speaker 3: in the.
- 44:10Speaker 2: Cop like started getting the DMX to like kill the
- 44:14Speaker 2: dude like that was.
- 44:15Speaker 3: That's when it started to take a turn. They were
- 44:17Speaker 3: like like weird Malcolm X type shit going on, and
- 44:21Speaker 3: it was like there was like scarfaced remnants and then
- 44:26Speaker 3: shout out to nas who's you know? Just I love Belly,
- 44:29Speaker 3: though I love Belly. Some classic moments in that.
- 44:33Speaker 2: Oh, Snoop made like some really good The Wash that
- 44:36Speaker 2: was a good movie. Wash Bones Yeah, Bones was fire.
- 44:40Speaker 3: Yeah the wash was solid. Bones was interesting. Yeah, there's
- 44:45Speaker 3: been Yeah, shout to uh, shout to Snoop. I think, uh,
- 44:48Speaker 3: baby Boy one of the best feelings of all.
- 44:51Speaker 2: Time, baby boy bossing up? That was a good one.
- 44:54Speaker 2: Good Snoop movie you've seen bosting up?
- 44:56Speaker 3: Oh wait, was that the new one where he's that
- 44:58Speaker 3: was paid?
- 44:59Speaker 1: That was the pen movie.
- 45:00Speaker 3: Though I didn't see Boss It Up.
- 45:02Speaker 1: You should watch that.
- 45:03Speaker 3: I watched all the Member the Pimp documentaries.
- 45:05Speaker 1: Yeah, dude, Yeah, Pimp Hose down.
- 45:09Speaker 3: Down there was like, mister white folks, it was pimping.
- 45:13Speaker 1: Can they don't? They don't. They denounced themselves from that movie.
- 45:16Speaker 3: Recently, did they?
- 45:18Speaker 2: Yeah, because they said it was like, you know, pushing
- 45:21Speaker 2: poverty on America.
- 45:23Speaker 1: I don't, I don't. I don't disagree with him.
- 45:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean there was that era. I mean, you're
- 45:28Speaker 3: like former.
- 45:29Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. They grew out.
- 45:30Speaker 3: Of there, they grew up. Yeah. Yeah, shout out to uh,
- 45:33Speaker 3: shout out to those guys. Se I just remember that era,
- 45:35Speaker 3: like pimping was like a fucking Godfather was on.
- 45:39Speaker 1: W w F Oh my gosh.
- 45:41Speaker 3: He had the whole train dog Like.
- 45:44Speaker 2: He'd be like, you want some hose? Don't you just
- 45:47Speaker 2: giving people hose?
- 45:49Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 45:50Speaker 3: I just saw him. I went to WrestleMania this past
- 45:52Speaker 3: weekend and he I went to an indie show and
- 45:54Speaker 3: he went.
- 45:54Speaker 1: Form being in the Nation of Domination, of being Godfather.
- 45:58Speaker 3: And before that he was Papa Shango. Oh he was guy,
- 46:01Speaker 3: but he's running. Ah, he runs cheetahs. In Vegas now
- 46:04Speaker 3: the Strip Club, the Godfather Run Cheetahs.
- 46:08Speaker 1: Man, we've got the real host trade now. I love it.
- 46:10Speaker 3: Man, is there gonna be a de lux for this?
- 46:12Speaker 3: I feel like you kind of already kind of put out
- 46:13Speaker 3: the Deluxe because there's some stuff after the outro obviously.
- 46:16Speaker 2: Yeah, its already done. You guys got everything, Cushion, Orange Juice.
- 46:23Speaker 2: I don't think I'm done.
- 46:24Speaker 1: Working for the year, though. I think I'm gonna.
- 46:28Speaker 2: Release some stuff that based off of like the freestyles
- 46:31Speaker 2: that I was doing, and then it would be cool
- 46:33Speaker 2: to do a Tailor Gang album before the end of
- 46:35Speaker 2: the year.
- 46:36Speaker 3: That'd be Dopey who always would be on the Tailor
- 46:39Speaker 3: Gang album.
- 46:40Speaker 2: These days, pretty much everybody who you heard on my
- 46:43Speaker 2: album j TI.
- 46:46Speaker 1: Yeah, pretty much every everybody.
- 46:48Speaker 2: Who you heard on on my album would be on
- 46:51Speaker 2: the Tailor Gang album, plus a few other artists maybe producers.
- 46:57Speaker 3: Are you like still actively signing new artist? Is Taylor Gang?
- 47:00Speaker 3: Or is it like I feel like you got a
- 47:02Speaker 3: lot of people you just fuck with?
- 47:03Speaker 2: Yeah, that's really what it is. I haven't signed anybody
- 47:05Speaker 2: in a minute. We've done some management deals. Those have
- 47:09Speaker 2: been more made more sense than actual record deals.
- 47:14Speaker 1: And things like that.
- 47:15Speaker 2: But now that we get into like releasing more projects,
- 47:19Speaker 2: and you know, after the success of this one, just
- 47:23Speaker 2: seeing the rollout and how it happened, it's going to
- 47:26Speaker 2: open up a lot of opportunities for us to do
- 47:28Speaker 2: some things.
- 47:29Speaker 3: What is uh, you know, obviously you're insane entrepreneur. How
- 47:34Speaker 3: did you get involved with Liquid Death?
- 47:38Speaker 1: They came to me a.
- 47:41Speaker 2: Long time ago, definitely before COVID, but just pre you know,
- 47:48Speaker 2: blow up, and it was kind of just as far
- 47:50Speaker 2: as like growing the company and adding to to to
- 47:57Speaker 2: what the already expanding business was. But just you know
- 48:02Speaker 2: what I'm saying, pushing that over the top. And there
- 48:05Speaker 2: was an investment and there was also percentages and things
- 48:10Speaker 2: like that that.
- 48:12Speaker 3: I'm shout tour boy Will who hit me up like
- 48:14Speaker 3: three days before the deadline and he was like, hey,
- 48:16Speaker 3: you got X amount of money you can get in.
- 48:18Speaker 3: I'm like, buddy, that's seventy two hours from now. Thanks
- 48:20Speaker 3: for the fucking heads up.
- 48:21Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, but it was like, yeah, it was
- 48:24Speaker 2: an investment and there's percentages that that that were you know, negotiated,
- 48:32Speaker 2: and then here we are years later and it's super
- 48:35Speaker 2: duper successful and we're happy to be part of it.
- 48:39Speaker 3: You've done so many like side hustles. So I mean
- 48:41Speaker 3: obviously the PFL was there ever an investment we haven't
- 48:44Speaker 3: heard about. It just didn't work out, of course.
- 48:49Speaker 1: Yeah, it was like what was it?
- 48:54Speaker 2: Probably like some apps that I invested in that we
- 48:57Speaker 2: thought were going to be next level, some social media
- 49:00Speaker 2: and stuff.
- 49:01Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. Yeah, some shit that we
- 49:03Speaker 1: tried out.
- 49:04Speaker 2: It's not like anything that you know, I would like
- 49:08Speaker 2: freaking wouldn't do.
- 49:10Speaker 3: I mean with those it's like you got to shoot
- 49:12Speaker 3: a shot.
- 49:12Speaker 1: It's hit or miss.
- 49:13Speaker 2: Yeah, some stuff works, some stuff doesn't. And you know,
- 49:17Speaker 2: the narrower the scope began to be, we were able
- 49:22Speaker 2: to focus on actual, real companies that we could help grow,
- 49:26Speaker 2: as opposed to just try to like latch onto the
- 49:29Speaker 2: next thing.
- 49:30Speaker 3: Yeah, because that's gat's gambling. I mean, when you're trying
- 49:32Speaker 3: to if you're trying to find the next Twitter.
- 49:34Speaker 1: Yeah, good luck.
- 49:36Speaker 2: Yeah, it seems like you know, sometimes it seems cool.
- 49:40Speaker 2: Sometimes you just gotta get out of there before it
- 49:42Speaker 2: even turns into anything. And a lot of those situations
- 49:45Speaker 2: like that's what it was, was we were out of
- 49:47Speaker 2: there before it even you know, turned into that.
- 49:52Speaker 3: Yo, You and Currencies relationship has been so like you
- 49:55Speaker 3: guys are synonymous with each other. Your guys' careers are, like,
- 49:59Speaker 3: you know, very similar trajectory wise. You guys been working
- 50:02Speaker 3: together for over fifteen years, right, so yep, just gave
- 50:08Speaker 3: us an album a few years ago together. Talk about
- 50:11Speaker 3: y'all's friendship and just y'all's bond because Currency and You,
- 50:15Speaker 3: like you guys obviously had a very similar come up.
- 50:17Speaker 3: He continued to just run up the underground, run up
- 50:21Speaker 3: the catalog, turn into this icon culturally obviously you go
- 50:27Speaker 3: and you're you've turned in a fucking pop star, you
- 50:29Speaker 3: know what I mean? Like, but you guys always stayed
- 50:31Speaker 3: locked in with y'all's relationship, Like, man, how important is that?
- 50:34Speaker 1: Super important?
- 50:35Speaker 2: Just because that's like my real friend and besides music,
- 50:41Speaker 2: you know, it took us like two months to record
- 50:44Speaker 2: our album because we were just watching movies.
- 50:46Speaker 1: And smoking the whole time.
- 50:47Speaker 3: That's funny.
- 50:48Speaker 2: Who we didn't want to record. We just wanted to
- 50:50Speaker 2: hang out. And as long as we have that, like,
- 50:53Speaker 2: that's all we really care about. Like the music is
- 50:56Speaker 2: is a byproduct of our lifestyle. And I always see
- 51:01Speaker 2: him happy he's buying cars like every freaking week, and
- 51:06Speaker 2: that's like.
- 51:06Speaker 3: The model cars.
- 51:07Speaker 2: Like he does like a whole channel for that, like
- 51:12Speaker 2: where he like commentates and everything, and he's that's the
- 51:15Speaker 2: stuff that he's passionate about. And that's what the people
- 51:18Speaker 2: who love Spita, they love him for that because he
- 51:22Speaker 2: goes on tour and he wraps literally so he can
- 51:25Speaker 2: do that to support his Yeah yeah, yeah, and you
- 51:30Speaker 2: know that's why we love him. And for me, like
- 51:34Speaker 2: it was always my plan to like kind of you know,
- 51:38Speaker 2: navigate the industry and do the whole marketing and you
- 51:43Speaker 2: know what I'm saying, Like that was always my thing.
- 51:45Speaker 2: Like even when we met, I would be on the
- 51:48Speaker 2: couch on my computer and you know what i mean,
- 51:51Speaker 2: tapping in blah blah.
- 51:52Speaker 1: Blah, and he was just.
- 51:55Speaker 2: He would he would admire like my work ethic when
- 51:58Speaker 2: it came to that, because he understood parts of that world.
- 52:02Speaker 1: But he wasn't.
- 52:04Speaker 2: He would just put his music out and be like,
- 52:06Speaker 2: you know what I mean, it's cool, like whatever happens happens.
- 52:08Speaker 2: And the people who love him took care of him,
- 52:11Speaker 2: and I was more like we got fans in Arizona,
- 52:16Speaker 2: we got fans and blah blah blah, like the technical
- 52:20Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying. So it's like we've always
- 52:23Speaker 2: played our roles when it comes to that, and we
- 52:27Speaker 2: always will and we always include each other, you know,
- 52:30Speaker 2: and everything that we're doing, which is just because we're
- 52:34Speaker 2: more brothers than anything. And it's like with this album,
- 52:39Speaker 2: our song on there, it sounds so freaking good, you
- 52:43Speaker 2: know what I mean, because it is we never lost
- 52:48Speaker 2: that combination and no matter what worldwide record I do,
- 52:57Speaker 2: I'm always able to get back on my bro and
- 53:00Speaker 2: make that sound that people love us for. And you know,
- 53:05Speaker 2: so that's the music side of it that I'm that.
- 53:07Speaker 2: I'm really happy that people always get to enjoy in
- 53:10Speaker 2: our friendship. Ain't never going nowhere, never has and never will.
- 53:14Speaker 3: Yo. You you it was obviously speculating, and you've talked
- 53:19Speaker 3: about it because I remember when you got on the
- 53:21Speaker 3: Super High remix with Ross and Neil, I for sure
- 53:25Speaker 3: thought you were gonna sign with MMG.
- 53:26Speaker 1: Yeah, that was a crazy time.
- 53:29Speaker 3: That was a great record, by the way, Yeah, because
- 53:33Speaker 3: that was like your I would say, like your mixtape
- 53:36Speaker 3: Buzz was just so crazy at that time, G felt
- 53:38Speaker 3: like the biggest shit ever they just signed Meek Mill,
- 53:40Speaker 3: something made came out? What what was was there? Like,
- 53:45Speaker 3: obviously you you made the intentional decision to you know,
- 53:48Speaker 3: do your own thing. But was there ever like a
- 53:51Speaker 3: a like that situation or another situation that you seriously
- 53:53Speaker 3: considered doing before just deciding like now we're gonna do
- 53:56Speaker 3: this our own way.
- 53:57Speaker 2: No, I never considered signing with anybody all. Always knew
- 54:00Speaker 2: I wanted to just do Taylor Gang and build my
- 54:05Speaker 2: own way. I didn't know what it looked like, but
- 54:10Speaker 2: I definitely knew that I had put myself up there
- 54:15Speaker 2: with those guys as opposed to like being somebody like
- 54:19Speaker 2: right that they and I love Ross and that was
- 54:23Speaker 2: like a you know, it was a huge compliment for
- 54:26Speaker 2: him to want to sign me, but that was just
- 54:29Speaker 2: the wrong time to.
- 54:30Speaker 1: Try to do it because I was just so popping
- 54:32Speaker 1: on my own.
- 54:33Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 54:33Speaker 1: It was like yo, like nothing that nobody could have.
- 54:35Speaker 2: Done for me ever that I wasn't going to do
- 54:38Speaker 2: for myself. And I was very self aware of that.
- 54:41Speaker 2: And it takes like a real person to tell you that, like,
- 54:44Speaker 2: I love you, but you can't do more for me
- 54:46Speaker 2: than I'm going to do for myself.
- 54:47Speaker 3: I saw you fanning out, which was a dope moment
- 54:52Speaker 3: to see.
- 54:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 54:52Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel like sometimes we just get so jaded
- 54:55Speaker 3: by like going to shows enjoying shit.
- 54:59Speaker 2: Yeah, a lot of people I don't know, man, I'm
- 55:01Speaker 2: not too cool to just show my appreciation.
- 55:04Speaker 1: Wrap the words.
- 55:05Speaker 2: That's what I go to concerts for, to get loose
- 55:08Speaker 2: and to trap the words. And I want to experience
- 55:11Speaker 2: it and to see it live. You know, Wayne is
- 55:15Speaker 2: influential to a lot of different you know, generations, but
- 55:19Speaker 2: for us, he's always gonna be our goat, our allegend.
- 55:23Speaker 2: We're gonna remember, you know, the Lighter Flick. We gonna
- 55:26Speaker 2: remember the mixtapes. We remember Money on My Mind, we
- 55:29Speaker 2: remember go DJ like we're gonna remember you know everything.
- 55:34Speaker 3: My father like son, very underrated.
- 55:36Speaker 2: Come on, man, so yeah those we were singing that outloud.
- 55:42Speaker 3: Shout out to Tie too. Ty's performance look insane. Yeah,
- 55:45Speaker 3: on the screen he had Draysonatra dressed like a fucking CEO.
- 55:51Speaker 1: It was tight. He made me wear a jail outfit too.
- 55:53Speaker 3: How dope has it been? Because I feel like, you know,
- 55:55Speaker 3: Ty has been on a pretty crazy run with the
- 55:57Speaker 3: Vulture stuff Carnivals a number one how dope was it
- 56:02Speaker 3: for you to just kind of see as a friend
- 56:04Speaker 3: as like a fan, like just like that wave. Obviously
- 56:10Speaker 3: you and you have other connections, but I'm just curious, like,
- 56:14Speaker 3: what was it like for you to just see that,
- 56:15Speaker 3: because like it was it was so dope just to
- 56:18Speaker 3: see Tye go to an arena or a stadium and
- 56:22Speaker 3: just play his like they won't even perform, there's no
- 56:24Speaker 3: fucking microphone.
- 56:25Speaker 1: Yeah, it's good.
- 56:26Speaker 2: I love seeing the people that I respect and admire
- 56:31Speaker 2: get that same love, respect and admiration across the board
- 56:36Speaker 2: because aside from being you know, friends with Tie, he's
- 56:40Speaker 2: a super talented artist, Like he's alien extremely talented artist
- 56:47Speaker 2: in the studio, he's like a monster, you know. And
- 56:50Speaker 2: just to know that somebody that people consider one of
- 56:55Speaker 2: the greats and you know, uh, somebody who if they
- 57:01Speaker 2: say it's good, then the rest of the world say
- 57:04Speaker 2: it's good. You know what I'm saying talking about, Yay
- 57:07Speaker 2: have that much respect for ty and push him to
- 57:10Speaker 2: the top and push him on his platform, and I
- 57:14Speaker 2: mean that's like that's a win to me for everybody.
- 57:17Speaker 2: And I just see it as like That's why I'm
- 57:21Speaker 2: your friend.
- 57:22Speaker 1: Because I see you saw from the jump.
- 57:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean not even just from the jump, but
- 57:27Speaker 2: just I know what they see at you, like I
- 57:29Speaker 2: see that exact same thing. I know exactly why they
- 57:32Speaker 2: feel that way. Sorry, my phone's usually off.
- 57:37Speaker 3: Obviously You've done a lot of collab projects. Would you
- 57:39Speaker 3: do because I'm hearing you and Larry on this album,
- 57:42Speaker 3: I'm hearing the l Russell record. I know you and
- 57:44Speaker 3: the Russell I think did two?
- 57:46Speaker 1: I got we did two that day, We did three
- 57:49Speaker 1: that day.
- 57:49Speaker 3: Actually, would you do just throwing those two names out there,
- 57:53Speaker 3: because I feel like a Larry June Whiz project would
- 57:55Speaker 3: be insane? But would you do another collab project with
- 57:57Speaker 3: another artist?
- 57:57Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 57:58Speaker 2: I would definitely do another, uh collab project with an artist.
- 58:02Speaker 2: That might be the best thing for me to do
- 58:06Speaker 2: after this solo joint.
- 58:07Speaker 3: Yeah, let the solo shit, you know. Yeah, either do
- 58:11Speaker 3: the Taylor gam or do it like a low collab project.
- 58:13Speaker 1: Yeah, that might be the best thing to do.
- 58:15Speaker 3: And then you're kind of like you're like independent now right.
- 58:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 58:19Speaker 3: I think a lot of people know that.
- 58:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I think they know because.
- 58:23Speaker 3: You were with Atlantic forever before that Warner Time.
- 58:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 58:27Speaker 2: We released this album through BMG and They were really cool,
- 58:31Speaker 2: super cool with the whole process. But it's like a
- 58:37Speaker 2: licensing through BMG. BMG, so we still own it. But
- 58:43Speaker 2: excuse me. Yeah, BMG was really really cool to work well.
- 58:46Speaker 2: We did have meetings every week everything. They came to
- 58:51Speaker 2: the studio listen to the album like four times. They
- 58:54Speaker 2: waited for me to get done, all the way till
- 58:57Speaker 2: the last final day till I turned it in. Yeah,
- 59:00Speaker 2: they weren't tripping at all. It was a really good
- 59:03Speaker 2: process too for me to feel free, but to still
- 59:07Speaker 2: also use a system to get this album to where
- 59:11Speaker 2: it was supposed to be at.
- 59:13Speaker 3: Yo, is it like when you heard? Because because I
- 59:16Speaker 3: think to see you again. The biggest biggest music video
- 59:19Speaker 3: on YouTube is.
- 59:20Speaker 1: One of them. It's definitely top five.
- 59:21Speaker 3: I think it's like top two or three.
- 59:23Speaker 1: It's top three maybe.
- 59:24Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like insane. I think it's like the what
- 59:27Speaker 3: was the Asian guy's.
- 59:28Speaker 1: Name, Gangham style?
- 59:29Speaker 3: Dude, that gam style.
- 59:31Speaker 2: I think it's like either that or baby Sharks.
- 59:36Speaker 3: Those are the three.
- 59:36Speaker 1: Then yeah, yeah, yeah, that's crazy.
- 59:39Speaker 3: That is insane.
- 59:40Speaker 1: That's cool.
- 59:40Speaker 3: Yeah, that's gotta be cool.
- 59:42Speaker 1: I like that.
- 59:43Speaker 3: Yeah, and I feel like that song you could take
- 59:45Speaker 3: that like like you performed that song after Kobe passed
- 59:48Speaker 3: away and the Lakers game, which had to be a tough.
- 59:51Speaker 1: Thing that it was tough, but it was an honor
- 59:53Speaker 1: as well.
- 59:53Speaker 2: Yeah, and as that song is gonna live forever, yeah,
- 59:59Speaker 2: world worldwide.
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: Well, the new album is incredible. Go get it. Yes,
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: Vinyls on the Way.
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: Vinyls on the Way, Tour on the Way, Merch on
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: the Way. Yeah, yep, go support it. Man Cushions used
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: two of them things, two of them.
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: Let's go bulet cap show boom fire.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: Nice.
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: To this camera.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: Ye just say check me out on the Blue Leg
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: Cap podcast. Ready, Yo, what up your boy? Whiskalief for man? Okay,
