- 1:08Speaker 2: tons of new people over there. Come on over and
- 1:11Speaker 2: let's talk Hallmark.
- 1:13Speaker 1: That's right, And we just kicked off our Girls Gone
- 1:16Speaker 1: Hallmark summer series where we are reviewing fan favorite movies.
- 1:21Speaker 3: The first movie, Mystery.
- 1:23Speaker 1: One oh one review dropped earlier this week. You can
- 1:27Speaker 1: find the full list of movies on our website Megan
- 1:30Speaker 1: and Wendy dot com, so you can keep up with
- 1:31Speaker 1: us all summer long, and we're posting weekly reminders on
- 1:35Speaker 1: Instagram so you can get those movies watched before.
- 1:38Speaker 3: Our review comes out. Now, I gotta I gotta ask
- 1:41Speaker 3: you a question.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Yeah, I saw someone commented and asked if we were
- 1:47Speaker 2: going to be reviewing any new movies this summer. Yes,
- 1:52Speaker 2: and your response was dot dot dot I think it was.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Response was maybe maybe I think there will be some
- 2:03Speaker 1: original movie reviews this summer.
- 2:05Speaker 3: Is that accurate? We'll see.
- 2:08Speaker 2: I guess we're busy this summer. This was gonna say,
- 2:11Speaker 2: I'm at a place where I feel fully invested in
- 2:14Speaker 2: homemark now where I have to.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Watch a new movie.
- 2:18Speaker 2: So if we don't record one for the podcast, you
- 2:21Speaker 2: may see me or Megan on Instagram talking about it.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Yes, but we will not be leaving you hanging.
- 2:31Speaker 1: There will be brand new episodes every week all summer long. Yeah,
- 2:35Speaker 1: and we're around, We're engaged. We're not m Ia all summer. Right,
- 2:38Speaker 1: We'll be on Instagram, will be rice, we catch up.
- 2:41Speaker 2: With us, Yes, yes, all right. I have one note
- 2:47Speaker 2: about viewership for this particular episode. Via Showbuzz Daily, Ride
- 2:51Speaker 2: came in number twelve out of one.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Hundred and fifty. It's a huge jump.
- 2:57Speaker 2: They had a little over one million viewers and zero
- 3:01Speaker 2: point one three share of the demographic.
- 3:03Speaker 3: It's quite a big jump jump for them.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Yeah, the finale brought those viewers back a little bit.
- 3:08Speaker 2: But it's so weird though, because if you're not watching
- 3:12Speaker 2: this show at all and then like you tune in
- 3:15Speaker 2: for the finale, I don't know.
- 3:18Speaker 3: Well, here's what I have to say about that.
- 3:20Speaker 1: I don't think Shoba's Daily includes and I could be wrong,
- 3:23Speaker 1: but I think that's like live cable TV viewings. I
- 3:27Speaker 1: don't think it's including like Peacock or Friendly or all
- 3:31Speaker 1: the other places people can be accessing these shows and
- 3:34Speaker 1: so or and I also don't think it accounts for
- 3:37Speaker 1: catching it on a DVR or a replay. So perhaps
- 3:41Speaker 1: people just aren't making this appointment television, but they have
- 3:45Speaker 1: been steadily keeping up with the show.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Keeping up with the McMurray's. That's right.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Yeah, would you like a synopsis for this finale episode? Indeed,
- 3:54Speaker 2: I one the National Cheyenne Rodeo gives Cash his final
- 3:59Speaker 2: chance to win the Frontier deal. It's a race against
- 4:03Speaker 2: time and an unexpected twist will shock the McMurray's to
- 4:07Speaker 2: the core. Ooh, I have one little note I want
- 4:12Speaker 2: to add here. Yeah, of course, while they will, while
- 4:17Speaker 2: they were filming this. It was wintertime. There were snow
- 4:22Speaker 2: on the ground, right, yes, And.
- 4:25Speaker 3: I was curious.
- 4:26Speaker 2: I was like, well, Cheyenne, Like Cheyenne Rodeo is like
- 4:30Speaker 2: a real thing, and I wondered when.
- 4:32Speaker 3: That actually takes place.
- 4:34Speaker 2: It takes place every year during the month of July,
- 4:41Speaker 2: So I.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Was like, oh, man, but I guess, like.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Nobody really cares unless you're like super invested.
- 4:47Speaker 3: I would guess.
- 4:48Speaker 2: I think I might be bothered a little bit, Like
- 4:51Speaker 2: if I was in the rodeo scene and I would
- 4:54Speaker 2: be like, give me some realism here.
- 4:58Speaker 1: That's funny that you look that up. I'm impressed. Yeah,
- 5:00Speaker 1: that's kind of annoying, that's curious.
- 5:02Speaker 2: I also did learn it says that the rodeo starts
- 5:06Speaker 2: at one pm during those during the days.
- 5:12Speaker 1: One of my notes is, this is the longest day
- 5:15Speaker 1: ever this whole series.
- 5:17Speaker 2: The days would last forever.
- 5:20Speaker 1: The timing, I know has bothered you throughout this entire series.
- 5:24Speaker 1: This day really, egregiously was so long. Like we had
- 5:28Speaker 1: so many things happen. Cash gets in a fight, Cash
- 5:30Speaker 1: goes to jail, Isabelle leaves cash and jail.
- 5:33Speaker 3: Missy goes back to get Cash out in jail, They've
- 5:35Speaker 3: got to drive all the way to the rodeo. Have
- 5:38Speaker 3: all of this happen. There's a lot going on.
- 5:40Speaker 2: And then also after the rodeo, after Cash rides, they
- 5:44Speaker 2: go out to a big dinner and then they're back
- 5:48Speaker 2: at They're back at home. Yeah, what that's a twenty
- 5:53Speaker 2: eight hour afternoon.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Yes, all of the previous episodes Shenanigan's didn't need to
- 6:00Speaker 1: happen the day of the Cheyenne Rodeo. They could have
- 6:03Speaker 1: very easily have happened the day before and still contributed
- 6:06Speaker 1: to the drama. I agree, Well, I think we should
- 6:09Speaker 1: maybe check in with all of our McMurray's in this
- 6:12Speaker 1: c Okay, let's start with Cash. Okay, what are your
- 6:15Speaker 1: thoughts on Cash in this episode?
- 6:16Speaker 2: It was more drawn to him in this episode than
- 6:19Speaker 2: I have been all series long. And I think it
- 6:23Speaker 2: wasn't just Cash, it was it was the director whoever
- 6:29Speaker 2: built really good tension in this episode. I thought, So
- 6:33Speaker 2: I was like into Cash, like I was like into
- 6:36Speaker 2: watching him win. I liked his conversation with Tucker the
- 6:41Speaker 2: bad guy Hash stood out for me in this episode.
- 6:44Speaker 3: I agree with that.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Do you think Cash all along was considering doing the
- 6:50Speaker 1: right thing and like sticking it to Tucker or do
- 6:52Speaker 1: you think there was some conflict and it was like, oh,
- 6:55Speaker 1: this could be a way to make a.
- 6:56Speaker 3: Fast buck good question. I don't know that. It's unclear
- 7:01Speaker 3: to me.
- 7:02Speaker 2: I am worried about the future of Cash and doing
- 7:07Speaker 2: Tucker dirty. Yeah, you know, I don't know, because he
- 7:11Speaker 2: comes in at the end and he's like, I've got
- 7:12Speaker 2: all your money. I can pay you off whatever you
- 7:16Speaker 2: were gonna win. But now like he feels Tucker feels
- 7:20Speaker 2: like Cash has sullied his reputation. I guess, yes, it's
- 7:25Speaker 2: bigger than the money. It's now nobody trusts me right now.
- 7:29Speaker 2: I think Cash was like, well, this is a great
- 7:32Speaker 2: fallback plan if I really don't make it as a
- 7:36Speaker 2: to eight seconds then yeah.
- 7:39Speaker 1: I mean, I wonder if we're to believe because Missy
- 7:42Speaker 1: comes in and she's like, you're not your brother in
- 7:44Speaker 1: the best way possible, which I thought was a great
- 7:46Speaker 1: line and a great moment for them. Are we to
- 7:47Speaker 1: believe that's the moment that changed his.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Mind she talked him out of it, yeah, Or that
- 7:53Speaker 2: he was the good guy all along.
- 7:55Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know. We may never know, right who's next, Well,
- 8:02Speaker 3: let's go to Missy.
- 8:03Speaker 1: We kind of need to talk about the Cash and
- 8:06Speaker 1: Missy of it all.
- 8:08Speaker 3: Missy finds the necklace.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Cash has been carrying this necklace around for how many years? Now?
- 8:12Speaker 3: It has to be Austin's been dead for a year.
- 8:15Speaker 1: They had to have been married for It's gonna be
- 8:17Speaker 1: at least three years since Austin proposed.
- 8:19Speaker 3: Do you think that's accurate? Sure? Yeah, Cash is still
- 8:22Speaker 3: caring around in his car.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Look, I kind of loved all that. Okay, I loved
- 8:27Speaker 2: all you hated it.
- 8:29Speaker 3: I didn't hate it.
- 8:30Speaker 1: I was just like, really, okay, no, because you know
- 8:33Speaker 1: I am. I love the Cash and Missy heat from
- 8:35Speaker 1: episode one. I've been riding this train and I think
- 8:38Speaker 1: they brought the heat in this episode. I agree in
- 8:41Speaker 1: that moment where he's like, I want what's best for
- 8:44Speaker 1: you and she says something like maybe you don't know
- 8:48Speaker 1: what's best for me.
- 8:50Speaker 2: I thought that, and then eighth grade, then they had
- 8:52Speaker 2: a hot, heavy kiss. Yeah, I thought that was good,
- 8:55Speaker 2: and then he bounces. I was like, what what I.
- 9:00Speaker 1: That though, He's like, I'm not going to put the
- 9:01Speaker 1: pressure on you to make this decision right now.
- 9:06Speaker 3: That's Hallmark for you.
- 9:08Speaker 2: I think if it was I think if it was
- 9:09Speaker 2: like HBO Max or something, they would have been a
- 9:12Speaker 2: freak in the sheets, you know.
- 9:15Speaker 3: I don't know. So I like that we got that.
- 9:19Speaker 3: But here's what I also like. We've talked a lot
- 9:22Speaker 3: about this season, like you can't.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Have the true love couple get together right away. You
- 9:28Speaker 1: need to leave your audience wanting something, and so in
- 9:31Speaker 1: this case, they had their moment. But we finish on
- 9:38Speaker 1: Missy going back to trick writing, like finding herself outside
- 9:42Speaker 1: of Gus, outside of Cash, outside of all of this,
- 9:45Speaker 1: like what is my life meant to be?
- 9:47Speaker 3: She goes to.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Albuquerque, which is in New Mexico, which I don't Again,
- 9:53Speaker 2: geography not my strong suit. But how far is Albuquerque
- 9:56Speaker 2: from Denver or wherever, not even Denver, wherever they live
- 10:01Speaker 2: in Colorado, I don't know.
- 10:04Speaker 3: I gotta say I have.
- 10:05Speaker 2: A digit see that here, okay, and please tell me
- 10:08Speaker 2: you've noticed the terrible green screen of Missy doing her
- 10:12Speaker 2: trick riding.
- 10:13Speaker 3: Well.
- 10:14Speaker 1: I mentioned a couple weeks ago that I saw like
- 10:17Speaker 1: a hallmark behind the scenes where they showed Missy on
- 10:20Speaker 1: a horse that had kind of that green screen behind
- 10:24Speaker 1: it that made it look like the horse was moving,
- 10:28Speaker 1: and so I had that vision in my mind of
- 10:30Speaker 1: this stationary horse that Missy is hanging off of while
- 10:33Speaker 1: the background's flying by. So I think I was a
- 10:37Speaker 1: little bit spoiled for that moment. Yeah, it was just
- 10:41Speaker 1: like a like a tight frame on her face, like
- 10:43Speaker 1: if she's like standing up on the horse.
- 10:46Speaker 3: Oh yes, yes.
- 10:47Speaker 1: I'm.
- 10:51Speaker 3: Like, what can you do yourself? I do it?
- 10:53Speaker 2: And then it's like, well, is she gonna go back?
- 10:55Speaker 2: Like what's gonna happen? Is she gonna do trick riding
- 10:59Speaker 2: all over the country?
- 10:59Speaker 3: And right, you know, I thought it was.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Look, there's no ties to the McMurray ranch for Missy
- 11:06Speaker 2: now that Austin is dead other than Cash now.
- 11:09Speaker 1: And I like that she because obviously she gave up
- 11:14Speaker 1: her career for Austin to be his bride, right, yes,
- 11:20Speaker 1: and now with maybe a potential relationship with Cash, she's
- 11:25Speaker 1: doing her own things.
- 11:26Speaker 3: So it's good.
- 11:27Speaker 2: It's a nice progression for Missy. Yes, happy for her.
- 11:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:31Speaker 1: And are we okay with Gus just kind of flying
- 11:33Speaker 1: by the wayside?
- 11:34Speaker 3: Yes?
- 11:34Speaker 2: Because he blew it anyway when he flipped out right
- 11:39Speaker 2: at her.
- 11:40Speaker 3: At the wedding. It's fun for the moment.
- 11:42Speaker 2: Yeah, Gus is not not it anymore.
- 11:45Speaker 3: No, who's next? Uh, let's talk tough?
- 11:48Speaker 2: Okay, So glad that he ended things with Julian because
- 11:54Speaker 2: ice cold between these two.
- 11:56Speaker 1: Well, in my notes, I said, I've been rooting for
- 11:59Speaker 1: Julian in Tough this whole time.
- 12:00Speaker 3: I really have.
- 12:01Speaker 1: But but the lack of chemistry in this episode especially
- 12:06Speaker 1: was rough for like see you later, buddy, Yes, but
- 12:09Speaker 1: oh no, oh it was so weird.
- 12:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:13Speaker 2: I was like, this isn't it.
- 12:14Speaker 3: He needs he They need somebody.
- 12:17Speaker 2: I hope if this show comes back for a season two,
- 12:20Speaker 2: they need somebody where there's actual chemistry between the two actors,
- 12:25Speaker 2: because this was not happening at all.
- 12:29Speaker 3: Yeah, and I.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Don't mind Julian coming back in season two as like
- 12:33Speaker 1: a confidant to Top, as a good friend to him,
- 12:36Speaker 1: as someone who encourages him to follow his dreams. I
- 12:39Speaker 1: like the character of Julian. But again, and maybe that's intentional.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Maybe we were not to be rooting for them.
- 12:49Speaker 3: I just was not it. Yes it was. I was.
- 12:53Speaker 2: I was like secondhand embarrassment watching them say like goodbye
- 12:57Speaker 2: to each other.
- 12:57Speaker 3: I was like, oh, this is so awkward. Yeah, it
- 13:00Speaker 3: was not great.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Okay, let's talk about.
- 13:05Speaker 3: Valeria. Yeah.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Now, she just runs around the entire episode. I feel
- 13:14Speaker 2: like part of the Scooby Doo gang trying to figure out,
- 13:16Speaker 2: like what is going on?
- 13:18Speaker 3: Right, huh? Putting the pieces together?
- 13:22Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 13:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:23Speaker 2: And then we have her at the very end and
- 13:27Speaker 2: her father's assistant handler whatever comes and takes her away.
- 13:33Speaker 2: I'm like, what's going to happen to the Laria now?
- 13:37Speaker 3: See.
- 13:37Speaker 1: One of the things I liked about this episode is
- 13:40Speaker 1: they did wrap up enough loose ends, but they left
- 13:45Speaker 1: enough questions to lead into a season two because there's
- 13:48Speaker 1: that big open ended question. Does he want to see
- 13:52Speaker 1: her because he wants to be in her life. Does
- 13:54Speaker 1: he want to see her to punish her in some way?
- 13:57Speaker 1: I mean, I have to assume that the show wouldn't
- 14:00Speaker 1: have been so lovely and kind if her father's waiting
- 14:04Speaker 1: back at the hotel to slap her with a lawsuit
- 14:06Speaker 1: for stealing this necklace and being this teenage runaway. Like
- 14:10Speaker 1: I want her to have both, right, Like I want
- 14:12Speaker 1: I want Valaria to have her family and her found family.
- 14:17Speaker 2: M Yeah, I don't know. Well, we may never know. Actually,
- 14:22Speaker 2: we're gonna have the rite fan fiction for Ride after. Okay,
- 14:29Speaker 2: and finally, Isabelle, how did you feel we'll get to
- 14:33Speaker 2: the big like a groundbreaking shock twist in a second.
- 14:38Speaker 2: But do you think she was right in leaving Cash
- 14:43Speaker 2: in jail?
- 14:44Speaker 3: I certainly understand the motivation. Mm hmmm.
- 14:48Speaker 1: All season long, she's felt frustrated with him and the
- 14:52Speaker 1: way he handles things. He gets in a fight with Gus,
- 14:56Speaker 1: and he's fighting with Tucker Clark and she doesn't really
- 14:58Speaker 1: get him. And she's also in this place where I
- 15:01Speaker 1: don't want to do this again. I've lost two of you.
- 15:03Speaker 1: I don't fault her motivation there. Okay, that's fair, But
- 15:10Speaker 1: I also thought I kind of thought she was because
- 15:14Speaker 1: she's been discovering all this stuff about Austin, right, and
- 15:17Speaker 1: how Austin was really not this golden child that they
- 15:20Speaker 1: thought he was. And I kind of feel like she
- 15:23Speaker 1: was putting that on Cash a little bit.
- 15:26Speaker 3: Uh huh.
- 15:27Speaker 2: I think if it was Austin in jail, she would
- 15:30Speaker 2: have like sprung them, But I feel like she it
- 15:34Speaker 2: was misplaced anger and she was putting it on Cash
- 15:38Speaker 2: and leaving him in jail.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:41Speaker 1: I like that perspective, And I also wonder if She's like,
- 15:43Speaker 1: I didn't have a chance to do anything about what
- 15:47Speaker 1: Austin was doing, and now I have a chance to
- 15:49Speaker 1: make a change, and maybe it's directed in the wrong place,
- 15:53Speaker 1: but at least I can feel like I'm doing something,
- 15:55Speaker 1: even though I'm walking away and leaving my son in jail.
- 15:57Speaker 3: And obviously they all felt like it was the wrong
- 15:59Speaker 3: choice too.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Missy goes back to get him, but I understand that
- 16:04Speaker 1: her brain was mixed up.
- 16:05Speaker 2: But I think you're right, like it.
- 16:07Speaker 1: Was pointed at the wrong sun. But the other son's
- 16:10Speaker 1: not here anymore. So once again Cash bears the brunt
- 16:14Speaker 1: of Austin's misdeeds exactly, And of course we'd have zero
- 16:20Speaker 1: resolution to Cody and Isabelle.
- 16:23Speaker 3: Yeah what about Cody, Yeah, kind of show up. No,
- 16:28Speaker 3: not at all.
- 16:29Speaker 2: I was a little disappointed in her because she's so
- 16:34Speaker 2: angry at Cash, and then all of a sudden, she
- 16:36Speaker 2: does a full one eighty and she's like, I wouldn't
- 16:39Speaker 2: let my son ride without me being.
- 16:41Speaker 3: There, or something like that.
- 16:42Speaker 2: I can't remember what she said exactly, but I was like, dude,
- 16:46Speaker 2: pick a Lane, are you supporting him? Are you not
- 16:50Speaker 2: supporting him? What's going on here? Yes? Now, let's talk
- 16:54Speaker 2: about the big surprise at the end. Okay, Polly shows
- 16:58Speaker 2: up and may I mention, is Polly have a totally
- 17:02Speaker 2: different hair color that she did in earlier episodes. It
- 17:05Speaker 2: was like red, I thought of this episode, Okay, no surprise,
- 17:10Speaker 2: there's this kid. I'm gonna put two and two together
- 17:13Speaker 2: that has to be Austin's kid. And sure enough, she says, Isabel,
- 17:18Speaker 2: this is your grandson.
- 17:20Speaker 3: Let's talk about timeline here for a second. Mm hmm.
- 17:23Speaker 2: Polly says she knew like Austin had a whole bunch
- 17:26Speaker 2: of stuff going on, so she didn't want to burden
- 17:29Speaker 2: him with letting him know that this was his child, right.
- 17:33Speaker 3: Who cares?
- 17:34Speaker 2: He's not I don't think he's buried to Missy yet.
- 17:38Speaker 3: The kid, but I don't know's old?
- 17:40Speaker 1: I know, so like who cares you have a kid
- 17:44Speaker 1: like from a previous relationship, Like this is like the
- 17:47Speaker 1: luke Danes doesn't know about April because his April's mom
- 17:50Speaker 1: is like, I didn't think you could handle it too
- 17:52Speaker 1: bad eighty, Like this is information that he deserves to
- 17:55Speaker 1: know one hundred percent exactly. Yeah, So I was like, uh,
- 18:02Speaker 1: did this just come out of nowhere? Was this always planned,
- 18:05Speaker 1: like they wanted Polly to have Austin's kid, And I
- 18:09Speaker 1: don't know is that where where is Austin's money going?
- 18:13Speaker 1: Like where did he lose all of this money? Like
- 18:16Speaker 1: I know he was gambling to make money, but he
- 18:18Speaker 1: had sponsorship money. Where was the money going? Was it
- 18:21Speaker 1: going to Wyat?
- 18:23Speaker 3: I he never know. I don't know.
- 18:26Speaker 2: I My understanding is that he was aware the last
- 18:31Speaker 2: four months before his death. He was aware. So he
- 18:35Speaker 2: was like paying Polly for you know, child support. Are
- 18:39Speaker 2: we talking millions of dollars?
- 18:42Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 18:43Speaker 1: And did he refinance the tractor or stop making payments somehow?
- 18:47Speaker 1: Why is that all of a sudden being repossessed and
- 18:50Speaker 1: they're like surprised by it. Yeah, because surely they should
- 18:53Speaker 1: have looked at the books sometime in the last year
- 18:55Speaker 1: and a half since Austin has passed. It's frustrating the
- 18:58Speaker 1: watch if this show comes back. I really wanted to
- 19:01Speaker 1: come back with a different writer. Sorry, well, okay, I
- 19:05Speaker 1: have to tell you that you know that the showrunner's
- 19:07Speaker 1: not coming back.
- 19:08Speaker 3: Oh I did not know that.
- 19:10Speaker 1: Okay, hold on, let me find the actual quote from
- 19:14Speaker 1: an article on heavy dot com. The showrunner is Sherry
- 19:18Speaker 1: Cooper Landsman, and she says she hinted at a second
- 19:22Speaker 1: season in a March twenty twenty three interview with Deadline. However,
- 19:26Speaker 1: she also told Deadline she's out after season one. The
- 19:28Speaker 1: quote is, I set up some development stuff beforehand. I
- 19:31Speaker 1: knew an executive at Blink who brought me on because
- 19:33Speaker 1: I had done family drama. But I could only commit
- 19:35Speaker 1: to the first season. I'm excited to watch it go on.
- 19:40Speaker 3: She says.
- 19:40Speaker 1: It's Rebecca Boss and Chris Mossy's world. It's they're the
- 19:43Speaker 1: co showrunners, they're the creators of the show. She would
- 19:47Speaker 1: not be coming back, so that could change things in
- 19:49Speaker 1: this world.
- 19:50Speaker 3: A little bit.
- 19:51Speaker 2: I think for me to watch a second season of it,
- 19:54Speaker 2: it needs to be more dramatic. Yeah, it needs to
- 19:59Speaker 2: be bingible, like I need a cliffhanger every episode.
- 20:04Speaker 3: I agree with that.
- 20:06Speaker 1: I could use a little more drama, and I feel
- 20:09Speaker 1: like there's been enough character development that we could get
- 20:11Speaker 1: into like those dramatic moments, more like we know who
- 20:14Speaker 1: these people are. There was so much backstory set up
- 20:17Speaker 1: in this season. Let's dig into actual drama happening. One
- 20:22Speaker 1: thing I think is interesting is we start off with
- 20:25Speaker 1: kind of two villains in this show, and by the
- 20:28Speaker 1: end we end with a different villain, and they're baby villains, right,
- 20:31Speaker 1: Like Janine starts off as a me and girl and
- 20:34Speaker 1: we love to hate her, and she has a real transformation.
- 20:38Speaker 1: She's still real sarcastic and snippy and has that real
- 20:41Speaker 1: kind of like dry humor, but she's fully on tough side.
- 20:46Speaker 1: We've seen a change in her and I like that.
- 20:49Speaker 1: And the other villain that we started off with is
- 20:51Speaker 1: jab who I don't we end with as a villain
- 20:54Speaker 1: like that dinner where he's very warm and welcoming the
- 20:57Speaker 1: McMurray's back into the Frontier family. Did this seem sinister
- 21:02Speaker 1: to me?
- 21:02Speaker 3: Right? Let me ask you. Don't you remember from.
- 21:05Speaker 1: The earlier episodes where Isabelle was like, we got to
- 21:07Speaker 1: get out from under JB. And now she's like toasted
- 21:11Speaker 1: with him, so excited that Cash gets his sponsorship from JB.
- 21:17Speaker 2: Yeah, dumb, Yeah, it's confusing.
- 21:19Speaker 3: It's confusing.
- 21:20Speaker 1: It seems like we like JB now, and it seems
- 21:22Speaker 1: like the all the villainry has been put on too.
- 21:25Speaker 1: Austin and even Tucker Clark was kind of a bad guy.
- 21:28Speaker 3: And while I.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Don't think He's like a stand up dude. He's not
- 21:31Speaker 1: this like sinister in the background bad guy. Yeah that
- 21:35Speaker 1: we were led to believe, Like, Okay, was he running
- 21:38Speaker 1: bets and asking people to throw it? Sure, that's not
- 21:41Speaker 1: a great dude, but his dealings with Austin.
- 21:45Speaker 3: Austin came to him mm hmmm.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Yeah, and Austin put himself in a bad situation with
- 21:51Speaker 1: Tucker Clark right right right. I would love it if,
- 21:58Speaker 1: maybe if on a season two we could get some
- 22:00Speaker 1: flashback with more Austin total. Side note, listener Michelle sent
- 22:06Speaker 1: me some stuff. I guess Marcus Rossner, who plays Austin,
- 22:10Speaker 1: had to go through this like major surgery. Apparently in
- 22:15Speaker 1: early February he tore two hamstring muscles and he had
- 22:19Speaker 1: to have a major Yeah, he had to have like
- 22:21Speaker 1: major reconstructive surgery, and he shared about it on his Instagram,
- 22:27Speaker 1: so like showing like learning how to walk again and
- 22:29Speaker 1: doing all this. So I'm wondering if that's why we
- 22:32Speaker 1: didn't get a whole Well, honestly, I don't even know
- 22:34Speaker 1: when they filmed this show, so I would imagine they
- 22:38Speaker 1: were probably done with it prior to him having his surgery. Anyway,
- 22:42Speaker 1: my point is I would like to see him come
- 22:44Speaker 1: back in flashbacks so we get a better understanding of
- 22:48Speaker 1: what he was doing. Bute, who knows. I don't know.
- 22:52Speaker 1: I don't think this show's going to come back to
- 22:53Speaker 1: be honest, Oh, I don't know. I feel like it
- 22:57Speaker 1: could really go either way. The writer's strike is not
- 22:59Speaker 1: helping anybody, so.
- 23:01Speaker 3: I don't know. We shall see, we shall see.
- 23:04Speaker 1: Let us know in our Facebook group if you think
- 23:05Speaker 1: Ryot's getting renewed for a season two?
- 23:07Speaker 3: Did it redeem itself in the end?
- 23:10Speaker 2: For me personally, when this episode ended, I was like,
- 23:14Speaker 2: I could watch a season two right, and you know me,
- 23:17Speaker 2: I've like not like the show all season long.
- 23:21Speaker 1: So I think it introduced just enough new drama and
- 23:25Speaker 1: maybe eliminated some of the things that we weren't super
- 23:29Speaker 1: pumped about.
- 23:30Speaker 3: So right, I like the Valeria drama.
- 23:32Speaker 1: We were led to believe like that was the big
- 23:34Speaker 1: dark secret and that's so mild and minor, and now
- 23:37Speaker 1: we're getting into like dirty Austin secrets.
- 23:40Speaker 3: Yeah exactly. Here's what I.
- 23:43Speaker 1: Don't understand when they pulled the bull names right, Like,
- 23:48Speaker 1: how was Austin rigging it?
- 23:49Speaker 3: They drew a name out of a hat.
- 23:52Speaker 1: I have no idea, and then Polly's like, I can
- 23:55Speaker 1: fix it. Everyone saw who he pulled. How are you
- 23:57Speaker 1: going to fix it? I could understand jgitimately going to
- 24:01Speaker 1: them and saying, this is the bull that killed my brother.
- 24:03Speaker 1: Can I write a different one that's a different story.
- 24:06Speaker 1: But someone going in and being like, oh, we're gonna.
- 24:08Speaker 3: Puole old switch through? What are you talking about?
- 24:13Speaker 2: That bull's totally Hurricane Like, yeah, I don't know.
- 24:16Speaker 3: I don't know either.
