- 0:15Speaker 2: The views and opinions expressed on this program do not
- 0:18Speaker 2: necessarily reflect the views and opinions of five AD, WCCHS
- 0:22Speaker 2: it's employees or WVRC Media.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Any very pleasing good morning to you. You're listening to
- 0:38Speaker 3: sort of ask the expert on WCCHS The Boys of Charleston.
- 0:41Speaker 3: I'm Delkober, Thanks so much for tuning in on this
- 0:43Speaker 3: Tuesday morning, joining me in studio this morning. He is
- 0:45Speaker 3: an expert. It's Ron Hughes from our sales department here
- 0:48Speaker 3: in Charleston, one of our top sells. What do you
- 0:51Speaker 3: call yourself count executive?
- 0:53Speaker 4: Yeah, we've been using an account executive probably for about
- 0:55Speaker 4: thirty years.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:56Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, just to kind of separate ourselves because
- 1:00Speaker 4: you know, my first exposure to advertising was watching Bewitched
- 1:04Speaker 4: as a kid and Darren Stevens wasn't it was in the.
- 1:08Speaker 5: Advertising you know, it appeared to be.
- 1:12Speaker 4: Like this massive agency but with only three employees, including
- 1:17Speaker 4: you know, Darren, his boss, and Darren's secretary and the
- 1:20Speaker 4: other darn yeah, the other the Darren that took the
- 1:24Speaker 4: first Darren's place had health issues or whatever it was. So,
- 1:28Speaker 4: you know, that guy was an advertising guy. So I
- 1:31Speaker 4: thought I wouldn't mind doing that, you.
- 1:33Speaker 3: Know, really, so all the way back, that was sort
- 1:36Speaker 3: of like an almost an inspiration.
- 1:38Speaker 4: Yeah, when I was you know, six or seven or
- 1:40Speaker 4: something like that. You know, it's like he's always working
- 1:42Speaker 4: with coming up with creative ideas for businesses.
- 1:45Speaker 3: And I now wonder, you're so good at your job.
- 1:48Speaker 3: You were like vision boarding this thing when you were
- 1:50Speaker 3: like six. When I was six, I was like, man,
- 1:51Speaker 3: I wish I could be the incredible Hawk. And that
- 1:52Speaker 3: didn't really work out that well.
- 1:55Speaker 4: Well for a while, I think, you know, during the
- 1:57Speaker 4: Watergate era, I thought I wanted to be an attorney,
- 2:00Speaker 4: but you know, I kind of and and during you know,
- 2:03Speaker 4: in sixty nine when the you know, NASA went to
- 2:06Speaker 4: the Moon, I thought I wanted to be some kind
- 2:07Speaker 4: of scientist.
- 2:08Speaker 5: But then I.
- 2:09Speaker 4: Realized in advertising. You know, although I have a four
- 2:12Speaker 4: year degree, you know, you really.
- 2:13Speaker 5: Don't need one.
- 2:16Speaker 4: It probably helps, you know with you know, with with
- 2:18Speaker 4: the marketing statistics and so forth, but on the rest
- 2:22Speaker 4: of it, you really don't.
- 2:23Speaker 3: It's just just your winning personality at that point.
- 2:25Speaker 5: Well that yeah, that's something I had to work on.
- 2:27Speaker 3: You know. The reason we're on the radio this morning,
- 2:31Speaker 3: we've probably heard some commercials around on the radio. We
- 2:34Speaker 3: talk about it every year. We have a service that's
- 2:37Speaker 3: called WV Bargains WV bargains dot com. This is a
- 2:40Speaker 3: great little thing. We're gonna talk about it this morning.
- 2:41Speaker 3: But this is really an opportunity that we give our clients,
- 2:44Speaker 3: you know, our our advertisers, the folks that we do
- 2:46Speaker 3: business with. Of course, we do business with you on
- 2:48Speaker 3: a daily basis as listeners where you invite us into
- 2:52Speaker 3: your lives and turn on the radio and listen to
- 2:54Speaker 3: our programming and stuff like that. We have relationships with
- 2:56Speaker 3: advertisers obviously, because you listen to the radio, you know
- 2:58Speaker 3: that there's commercials, and this is basically a deal between
- 3:01Speaker 3: us and them that you get the benefit as the
- 3:03Speaker 3: listener that you get the benefit of. We're doing business
- 3:06Speaker 3: stuff behind the scenes. It's all you know, legit it's
- 3:08Speaker 3: good stuff. We're trying to give them an opportunity to
- 3:11Speaker 3: give ups an opportunity to make things work. But the
- 3:13Speaker 3: fallout for that is is it gives our listeners fantastic
- 3:16Speaker 3: opportunities to get in on some deals. We do this
- 3:19Speaker 3: a couple of times a year, one time right before
- 3:20Speaker 3: the holidays, so if you're looking for some bigger ticket items,
- 3:24Speaker 3: not necessarily bigger ticket items, but there are bigger take
- 3:26Speaker 3: items one here that you can look for gifts. If
- 3:28Speaker 3: you wanted to theme some different things. This is a
- 3:30Speaker 3: great opportunity for that because when you look at the
- 3:32Speaker 3: wv bargains dot Com website, there's so much stuff one here.
- 3:35Speaker 3: It's broken down regionally, so you can see our local
- 3:37Speaker 3: because this, you know, WVRC Media is a big company,
- 3:40Speaker 3: so we're statewide, including the Eastern Panhandle, so there's tons
- 3:43Speaker 3: of stuff in here from all around the state and
- 3:45Speaker 3: you can bid on any of those. You do have
- 3:47Speaker 3: to arrange for pickup of them, but also you can
- 3:49Speaker 3: look at the region, so you can look at the
- 3:51Speaker 3: footprint that our stations here in Charleston Kerry, you can
- 3:54Speaker 3: look at the things that are available there and bid
- 3:55Speaker 3: on those as well. There's all kinds of different things
- 3:57Speaker 3: that you can go about. But this is a really
- 3:59Speaker 3: cool service in a cool site. I don't know that
- 4:01Speaker 3: listeners that have listened it used to be called turtle Bids.
- 4:03Speaker 3: I'll get it because if you've been a long time
- 4:05Speaker 3: listener to the radio that's for a decade. We rolled
- 4:07Speaker 3: it out as turtle Bids, so you may recall it
- 4:10Speaker 3: as that. It's the same thing. We've We've spruced it
- 4:12Speaker 3: up a little bit, made it a little bit more modern,
- 4:14Speaker 3: and given the opportunity for you to get there. But
- 4:16Speaker 3: the bottom line is you can go there and there's
- 4:18Speaker 3: so much cool stuff that you can look into. Practical things,
- 4:22Speaker 3: luxury things, vacation things. I mean, anything that you're looking
- 4:25Speaker 3: into you can find on this site right now.
- 4:27Speaker 5: Absolutely.
- 4:28Speaker 4: I mean it's the idea, believe it or not, for
- 4:31Speaker 4: having an auction on the radio goes way back to
- 4:34Speaker 4: nineteen eighty five, and you know Hall of Famer Paul Howard,
- 4:39Speaker 4: you know, managed to bring in a consultant into the
- 4:42Speaker 4: radio station. Our actually was on our started with just
- 4:45Speaker 4: our other station. Now all of our stations are involved,
- 4:49Speaker 4: all seven here, but it started on our six eighty
- 4:54Speaker 4: radio station. Six eighty AM, which you know now is
- 4:57Speaker 4: WKA Z. Then it was WCAW CAW for country and Western.
- 5:03Speaker 4: They played both kinds of.
- 5:04Speaker 3: Music, the country in Western.
- 5:06Speaker 4: So that started in nineteen eighty five. Paul Howard brought
- 5:09Speaker 4: in a consultant, said, hey, help your business move some furniture.
- 5:13Speaker 4: Maybe they have an overstock on things they want to
- 5:16Speaker 4: move at a you know, and give your listeners a
- 5:20Speaker 4: discounted price so they can bid on things over the radio.
- 5:25Speaker 4: And then the advertiser, you know, got credit to use
- 5:30Speaker 4: towards radio advertising. So we did that in eighty five.
- 5:34Speaker 4: The next year it was called action auction. I don't
- 5:37Speaker 4: know if that's still copyrighted or not. But back in
- 5:40Speaker 4: the day before you know, computers were dominant in everybody's homes,
- 5:46Speaker 4: people would just call in to a live event we
- 5:49Speaker 4: staged in our conference room and people would call in.
- 5:53Speaker 4: We would have a real auctioneer, you know, with a
- 5:55Speaker 4: hammer and gavel, and describe the item, and then describe
- 5:58Speaker 4: another item, then describe another idea, maybe do three at
- 6:01Speaker 4: a time, and then have listeners calling in and placing bids,
- 6:05Speaker 4: and then he would announce, well, this has this, this
- 6:08Speaker 4: has a bit of one hundred dollars, and this one
- 6:10Speaker 4: over here, this thing over here has a bid of
- 6:12Speaker 4: ninety and and so forth. And then you know, somebody
- 6:15Speaker 4: would call in and outbid them and so forth, and
- 6:17Speaker 4: you just had to do a few things at a time.
- 6:21Speaker 5: Next year, we just did it without.
- 6:23Speaker 4: The consultant and change the name, you know, because Paul
- 6:26Speaker 4: Howard was you know, it was definitely inventive. Oh sure, yeah,
- 6:31Speaker 4: and I'm not afraid to take borrow an idea and
- 6:34Speaker 4: you know, make it our own without having to pay
- 6:36Speaker 4: the consulting fees.
- 6:37Speaker 6: So forth.
- 6:37Speaker 3: Twice a week Paul would put some kind of material
- 6:40Speaker 3: that he printed out because he wants He subscribed to
- 6:42Speaker 3: every trade imaginable, you know, and created something. Yeah, I
- 6:46Speaker 3: think you're probably right. And and of course he got
- 6:48Speaker 3: him in physical copies, not online. And so he would
- 6:50Speaker 3: photo copy out of magazines or or some sort of
- 6:56Speaker 3: periodical or that he would get promotional ideas, and then
- 6:59Speaker 3: he would tap he would tap pin them on my door.
- 7:02Speaker 3: So I've seen when I came in, and Paul always
- 7:04Speaker 3: had great ideas. You know, I probably recognized too late
- 7:08Speaker 3: in my time back to Charleston, just how many great
- 7:11Speaker 3: ideas that Paul had because Paul had ton of the
- 7:13Speaker 3: great ideas.
- 7:14Speaker 4: He was good at creating his own ideas. And I remember,
- 7:18Speaker 4: you know, when I was a young young kid, just
- 7:21Speaker 4: starting out, you know, he would help me come up
- 7:23Speaker 4: with ideas for businesses and so forth. But this auction
- 7:27Speaker 4: thing just kind of stuck with me, and you know,
- 7:30Speaker 4: no matter where I've been, I remembered it, you know.
- 7:33Speaker 4: And then you know, our company here bought several of
- 7:38Speaker 4: the radio stations, including six't eighty back in the day
- 7:41Speaker 4: and brought the auction back what at least twenty years
- 7:45Speaker 4: ago or so, and called it Turtlebits. But instead of
- 7:48Speaker 4: bidding on the air, now it's like a silent auction.
- 7:51Speaker 5: You go online.
- 7:52Speaker 4: You can google w V bargains or go to one
- 7:56Speaker 4: of our websites for one of our stations here in Charleston,
- 7:59Speaker 4: and then look for the link to you know, to
- 8:02Speaker 4: the auction so you can go right to it and
- 8:04Speaker 4: see the items. Now there are, like you said, there
- 8:06Speaker 4: are other stations doing this, and you know some of
- 8:10Speaker 4: them aren't too far away. If you see something on
- 8:12Speaker 4: the Beckley site and you want to bid on it,
- 8:14Speaker 4: you know, it's not that far to go to Beckley.
- 8:16Speaker 4: The rest of them are in Clarksburg, Elkins, Morgantown, Cumberland, Maryland, Martinsburg.
- 8:22Speaker 4: It's where the stations are, so wherever their listening area is,
- 8:25Speaker 4: that's probably where a lot of their businesses are going
- 8:26Speaker 4: to be. But I know there are times when we've
- 8:29Speaker 4: had artwork here on the auction just a few years ago,
- 8:34Speaker 4: and people would buy them, bid on them from Morgantown,
- 8:39Speaker 4: and drive down to get them. So if it's something
- 8:42Speaker 4: you really want, you know, it's really not that hard
- 8:44Speaker 4: to go drive the distance to find what you want,
- 8:48Speaker 4: and vice versa for somebody here to go some other
- 8:51Speaker 4: city and so forth.
- 8:52Speaker 3: But it makes sense because I mean, for example, one
- 8:55Speaker 3: of the things that you see, I talked about this
- 8:57Speaker 3: yesterday on hotline, and this isn't necessarily for everybody, but
- 8:59Speaker 3: there's a there's a Bobcat tractor on here that retails
- 9:02Speaker 3: for forty seven thousand dollars. The current bid on it
- 9:05Speaker 3: is just under nineteen thousand dollars. And so to me,
- 9:09Speaker 3: that's something that if you had to if somebody from
- 9:13Speaker 3: you know, Martinsburg or wherever they needed to travel across
- 9:16Speaker 3: the state to get this thing, would be worth Yeah,
- 9:18Speaker 3: that would be worth a drive if you're saving tens
- 9:20Speaker 3: of thousands of dollars one a night, and that's definitely
- 9:22Speaker 3: worth a drive across the state to go.
- 9:23Speaker 4: Usually our items start at sixty five percent off, yeah,
- 9:27Speaker 4: the starting bid on most items, and then that just
- 9:32Speaker 4: goes up in increments. It's like using eBay or any
- 9:35Speaker 4: other auction site you can. You can place a maximum
- 9:38Speaker 4: bid on things that you want or you know, just
- 9:41Speaker 4: or just kind of follow it. You know, once you
- 9:44Speaker 4: sign up and you're in, you basically sign up to
- 9:47Speaker 4: bid so that we can send you emails when you've
- 9:50Speaker 4: been out bid, and then when it's over, send you
- 9:52Speaker 4: emails say hey you won, and you can pay by
- 9:55Speaker 4: credit card, here's the link to pay, you know, for
- 9:58Speaker 4: the items. So it becomes very out there easy.
- 10:00Speaker 3: People out there might be interested in this as far
- 10:02Speaker 3: as it goes. If you make a bid on an item,
- 10:04Speaker 3: do you have any amount you have to put an
- 10:05Speaker 3: scrow anything like that, or do you have an account
- 10:07Speaker 3: that you said it's like on an honor system that
- 10:09Speaker 3: they expect you to pay for it.
- 10:10Speaker 4: The honor system, you know, we've never been it's rare
- 10:15Speaker 4: that you know, somebody bids on something wins it.
- 10:17Speaker 5: And then doesn't pick it up.
- 10:19Speaker 3: Why would you do that? Right?
- 10:20Speaker 5: Why would you do that?
- 10:22Speaker 4: But you know, people have you know, weird impulses that
- 10:26Speaker 4: are true, which I get.
- 10:29Speaker 3: Stuffing like that could happen. But generally speaking, this up.
- 10:31Speaker 5: You know, in that case, we would just offer it
- 10:33Speaker 5: to the second.
- 10:34Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that's a good point, second.
- 10:35Speaker 5: In line bidder, you know, for that for that amount.
- 10:38Speaker 3: I love this thing because I mean, and we'll get
- 10:40Speaker 3: into some of the different things you can find on here,
- 10:42Speaker 3: because the thing is is it is truly very varied.
- 10:45Speaker 3: I mean everything from summer camp to tattoos to like
- 10:50Speaker 3: I talked about a tractor on here. There's all kinds
- 10:52Speaker 3: of things. One of my favorite things I always point
- 10:54Speaker 3: people to, you know, Eddie's Tire always does business with
- 10:57Speaker 3: us on on WV bargains and as somebody like if
- 11:00Speaker 3: you have one of those SUVs out there that where
- 11:01Speaker 3: the tires are so dang expensive, uh, you know, an
- 11:04Speaker 3: extended suv or something like that. Even to buy it
- 11:06Speaker 3: now selection for Eddie's Tires, it's a five hundred dollars certificate.
- 11:10Speaker 3: You can buy it for three twenty five. You put
- 11:12Speaker 3: a couple of those together, you're getting thirty five percent
- 11:14Speaker 3: off and you can you can outfit your entire vehicle.
- 11:18Speaker 3: Thirty five percent discount right off the top is pretty
- 11:20Speaker 3: dark good, you know, and.
- 11:21Speaker 4: I have to warn people those are some of the
- 11:22Speaker 4: most popular things.
- 11:24Speaker 3: Yeah, they go quick, and they do go quick.
- 11:26Speaker 4: I mean they start the bidding amps up. But there's
- 11:28Speaker 4: several of them on.
- 11:29Speaker 3: There right and you can buy it now. So if
- 11:31Speaker 3: if if thirty five percent off sounds good to you,
- 11:33Speaker 3: just go get them, you know, just.
- 11:33Speaker 5: Go get it and get tires anywhere for thirty five percent.
- 11:36Speaker 3: So you can still shock for the deal within that.
- 11:38Speaker 3: So you know, you get your get certificause, then you
- 11:40Speaker 3: go and you get the best deal you can. Suddenly
- 11:41Speaker 3: you're getting yourself some nice tires for thirty five percent off.
- 11:43Speaker 3: That's not a bad deal at all.
- 11:45Speaker 4: Absolutely, and they have I've done it myself. I mean
- 11:48Speaker 4: I've been I'm sorry, I've been to Eddie's Tires myself
- 11:50Speaker 4: yet me to four and purchased things. So they're you know,
- 11:55Speaker 4: very easy to deal with. And my point in saying
- 11:57Speaker 4: that was, you know, they have a lot of different brands.
- 12:02Speaker 4: The other item, there's some things we've never done before
- 12:07Speaker 4: on the auction. One's you know as a quarter sleeve
- 12:09Speaker 4: tattoo from Bare Knuckles and Marmette, which is.
- 12:14Speaker 3: Something else that's kind of interesting because again you don't
- 12:16Speaker 3: think about that necessarily, but even as a gift if
- 12:19Speaker 3: you know somebody that likes.
- 12:20Speaker 5: Ink at Christmas time, it's perfect.
- 12:22Speaker 3: And suddenly you have something that's a fifteen hundred dollars
- 12:24Speaker 3: value that right now, the current bid on it's just
- 12:26Speaker 3: six hundred dollars, So I mean that's that's over fifty
- 12:28Speaker 3: percent off that you're getting for a for a huge tattoo, right.
- 12:31Speaker 4: And you know those are this one's set up so
- 12:33Speaker 4: you you don't get it all at one time.
- 12:35Speaker 5: I mean go in and do a quarter sleeve all
- 12:38Speaker 5: at one.
- 12:38Speaker 4: Time, three sessions, three sessions, so it breaks it up
- 12:41Speaker 4: a little bit. I mean, if you're used to getting
- 12:45Speaker 4: tattoos anyway, you know you're you're probably used to you know,
- 12:49Speaker 4: the pain that goes along with that, right, And then
- 12:53Speaker 4: you have some catchy little signs on the on their
- 12:56Speaker 4: wall about talking about you know, no crying aloud or
- 13:00Speaker 4: you know, so that's that's a good bargain in this case.
- 13:06Speaker 4: You know, there are also some some items we also
- 13:10Speaker 4: do every year. The truck driving school from down in
- 13:13Speaker 4: Boone County. I mean, in this economy, believe it or not,
- 13:18Speaker 4: truck driving jobs are some of the most in demand jobs.
- 13:22Speaker 4: And those those skills that you get from a truck
- 13:25Speaker 4: driving school are very marketable, So why not get them
- 13:28Speaker 4: a sixty five percent off.
- 13:31Speaker 5: Starting out.
- 13:34Speaker 4: I talk to a guy the other day. He you know,
- 13:36Speaker 4: he's got several other things that he does as his career,
- 13:41Speaker 4: and he used.
- 13:41Speaker 5: To be in radio.
- 13:44Speaker 4: Now he's going at the age I think fifty five,
- 13:46Speaker 4: going back to truck driving school and he's got a
- 13:49Speaker 4: job offered immediately, you know, as soon as he's finished.
- 13:53Speaker 5: With a school. So that's you know, you know, those
- 13:57Speaker 5: jobs pay pretty well.
- 13:58Speaker 3: Yeah, and for the right situation, for the right person,
- 14:01Speaker 3: and if you're looking to you know, broadly work for
- 14:03Speaker 3: yourself and different things. I mean, I think at first
- 14:06Speaker 3: you have to get into a situation where you're either
- 14:08Speaker 3: leasa truck or the company assigns you want or however
- 14:11Speaker 3: that works. But it's still to be able to take
- 14:14Speaker 3: on that kind of job. And again, the truck driving school,
- 14:17Speaker 3: that's what this is about. And the school fee is
- 14:20Speaker 3: much reduced if you got it online. It's pretty incredible
- 14:22Speaker 3: with it.
- 14:22Speaker 5: You get it on the.
- 14:23Speaker 4: Auction, you know it's going to be reduced by at
- 14:26Speaker 4: least some of them are, I think maybe reduced slightly
- 14:31Speaker 4: different than others, but a lot of these are sixty
- 14:35Speaker 4: five percent off. Now we've also always got tinting every year.
- 14:41Speaker 3: I love this too because even something like the current
- 14:43Speaker 3: bid on a full truck tent right now is fifty
- 14:45Speaker 3: six dollars. Of course it will probably the bid will
- 14:48Speaker 3: probably go up more than that, but that's still a
- 14:50Speaker 3: good starting point. And again, retail for a full truck
- 14:53Speaker 3: tent is one hundred and forty dollars. You can do
- 14:54Speaker 3: the buy now thing for ninety one. That's again thirty
- 14:56Speaker 3: five percent off. I mean, it's it's a great deal
- 14:58Speaker 3: if that's something that you're looking for. And frankly, my
- 15:01Speaker 3: wife wanted her car attended for Christmas, this might be
- 15:03Speaker 3: my gift for her.
- 15:04Speaker 5: It could be it.
- 15:05Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, so that might be the gift that
- 15:06Speaker 3: I ended up getting her. These are all things that
- 15:09Speaker 3: and then if you're planning on vacations or something, I mean,
- 15:11Speaker 3: there's cabin rentals that you can get in again, great deals.
- 15:14Speaker 3: There's a Hemlock Haven cabin. That's a retail value of
- 15:19Speaker 3: seven hundred and fifty dollars that right now, the current
- 15:21Speaker 3: bid on it's three hundred. Imagine if you're putting together
- 15:23Speaker 3: a you're putting together a vacation or a staycation as
- 15:26Speaker 3: it might be in something like this. I mean, that
- 15:28Speaker 3: is a fantastic.
- 15:29Speaker 4: Deal, wonderful, wonderful place. I know people that go there
- 15:32Speaker 4: quite a bit, I think if I remember Idison, Fayette County,
- 15:37Speaker 4: so you don't have to travel too far.
- 15:39Speaker 5: To get to it, right.
- 15:41Speaker 4: An interesting thing about how we've set up this auction,
- 15:44Speaker 4: as you can look by individual city for the items
- 15:48Speaker 4: that we have, but you can also look by category,
- 15:51Speaker 4: like if you know you want to do some home
- 15:53Speaker 4: improvement things, you can look by category and I'll show
- 15:57Speaker 4: you everything that we have in that category and some
- 15:59Speaker 4: of the local things we have. One of the things
- 16:02Speaker 4: we have that we used to have in the first
- 16:04Speaker 4: few auctions were you know, nice sewing machines, you know,
- 16:08Speaker 4: up upscale sewing machines. Compared to you know, it's not
- 16:15Speaker 4: like a singer or one of those that you know
- 16:17Speaker 4: a little more you know, a little more retail oriented.
- 16:21Speaker 4: This one from Gabby's in a big chimney. As an
- 16:26Speaker 4: Elna experienced five thirty sewing machines. It's it's different than
- 16:31Speaker 4: it's a little more upscale. It's a seven hundred dollars
- 16:33Speaker 4: sewing machine and you can you can bid on it
- 16:37Speaker 4: at starting bid at two seventy nine. If you were
- 16:43Speaker 4: to go in and you can go to Gabby's and
- 16:46Speaker 4: look at it. You can go to all these stores
- 16:48Speaker 4: and look at their items. But you know, it does
- 16:50Speaker 4: thirty stitches, has an LCD screen built, a needle threader
- 16:55Speaker 4: which I used to watch my grandmother thread needles back
- 16:58Speaker 4: in the sixties, you know, in seventies, so as you
- 17:01Speaker 4: get older, you know, the automatic needle threader I think
- 17:04Speaker 4: does a lot, does a lot for those folks, a
- 17:07Speaker 4: lot of access functions and the pulls out a little
- 17:13Speaker 4: chart on the side of it that shows all the
- 17:15Speaker 4: different stitches that come with it. But that's something we
- 17:19Speaker 4: haven't had recently on the auction. Also, there's service, you know,
- 17:27Speaker 4: you can also buy service from them as well, sewing
- 17:30Speaker 4: machine service. For Currently it goes for three hundred dollars.
- 17:36Speaker 4: You can get it for one twenty for I believe
- 17:38Speaker 4: it's a three year service agreement to not just for
- 17:43Speaker 4: that machine, but for any machine you might happen to
- 17:45Speaker 4: have staying in the house, war's department or the home
- 17:49Speaker 4: and garden. There's a real nice ceiling fan. It's it's
- 17:54Speaker 4: a westing Haass ceiling fan from Leonard's Electric down in
- 17:58Speaker 4: Saint Albans and Terry and Maggie Christian recently purchased that
- 18:04Speaker 4: that business. Terry was a classmate of mine, so there's
- 18:08Speaker 4: nobody there named Leonard anymore. But it's a it's a
- 18:11Speaker 4: it's a business that's been around.
- 18:12Speaker 5: Over forty years or fifty years.
- 18:14Speaker 4: But this ceiling fan from Westinghouse is so it's kind
- 18:20Speaker 4: of it looks like it would fit in any decorps.
- 18:24Speaker 3: You know.
- 18:25Speaker 4: It's it's not a light, doesn't have a light in it,
- 18:29Speaker 4: but it could be used as an industrial ceiling fan,
- 18:32Speaker 4: but also could be used in a large room, especially
- 18:36Speaker 4: with with tall ceilings. It's one hundred inch ceiling fan.
- 18:40Speaker 4: Ordinarily six hundred and seventy five dollars. You starting bed
- 18:44Speaker 4: believe it's two seventy on that, but you could go
- 18:49Speaker 4: and look at the website. You can see different pictures
- 18:52Speaker 4: of how it You could look it up on our
- 18:56Speaker 4: website and see a picture of it in a large
- 18:58Speaker 4: room with very tall ceilings in a lot of a lot
- 19:00Speaker 4: of windows. But it's it's it's very efficient, effective fan
- 19:06Speaker 4: for the distribution of air and especially for warehouses or
- 19:11Speaker 4: industrial places. But you know, if you've got a really
- 19:14Speaker 4: large living room or uh family room, tall ceilings, you know,
- 19:18Speaker 4: and and a lot of open space, it works very
- 19:21Speaker 4: well and it doesn't look industrial. It can fit in
- 19:25Speaker 4: any kind of design, you know, modern art deco. I mean,
- 19:28Speaker 4: it would fit just about any any design that you've done.
- 19:32Speaker 5: In your house.
- 19:34Speaker 4: You also go through there, you'll see some generators from
- 19:37Speaker 4: some of our from some of our places. There's a
- 19:41Speaker 4: generat power station from Expect Power over in Elkview. The
- 19:46Speaker 4: This item is good for like camping trips, tailgate parties,
- 19:51Speaker 4: or job sites or any kind of power outage situation.
- 19:56Speaker 5: So it's it's it's fairly large.
- 19:58Speaker 3: And in this state too, having a generat. My mom's
- 20:00Speaker 3: life changed so significantly about eight years ago. She got
- 20:05Speaker 3: a big generator that she could run like appliances on
- 20:08Speaker 3: a little bit and stuff like that and that, and
- 20:10Speaker 3: she lives in Beaumont kind of roll up there and
- 20:12Speaker 3: suffers a lot of power outages, and that definitely saved
- 20:14Speaker 3: her many times during the winter and things like that
- 20:16Speaker 3: when she needed to have power running. But recently she
- 20:19Speaker 3: had a full house generator put in and so it's
- 20:22Speaker 3: kind of like our building here. If they lose power
- 20:24Speaker 3: up there, she doesn't even know it. Her generator kicks
- 20:26Speaker 3: on and she's in good shape, and it has a
- 20:29Speaker 3: revolutionary for her peace of mind, for our peace of
- 20:32Speaker 3: mind because in that unfortunately, in that part of West Virginia,
- 20:34Speaker 3: if your power goes out, there's no cell phone. About
- 20:38Speaker 3: an hour after the power goes out, they lose phone
- 20:39Speaker 3: service because there's some sort of weird way that it
- 20:41Speaker 3: powers the phone lines. So there's no way to get
- 20:43Speaker 3: a hold of her for power goes out. So at
- 20:45Speaker 3: least this way she can keep her cell phone active
- 20:47Speaker 3: and use her WiFi calling in order to be able
- 20:49Speaker 3: to get out. And that's the only way we can
- 20:50Speaker 3: contact my you know, seventy year old.
- 20:52Speaker 5: Now you know, well, this is this item here is portable.
- 20:57Speaker 4: It's not a traditional generator in a sense, uh, you
- 21:00Speaker 4: recharge it after you use it, and it's got an
- 21:03Speaker 4: attachment where you could buy a solar panels to.
- 21:06Speaker 3: Even things like that if you're in your RV, if
- 21:08Speaker 3: you're if you're going to tailgate like you just talked about,
- 21:10Speaker 3: or something like that, to be able to pull something
- 21:12Speaker 3: out you plug in your stove, your car chargers, whatever
- 21:15Speaker 3: it might be. To have that handy for you. That's
- 21:16Speaker 3: it's pretty nice.
- 21:17Speaker 4: It's good for fast charging. You can you can you
- 21:21Speaker 4: can recharge it up in about two hours on a
- 21:24Speaker 4: regular wall socket. But it's light, portable, and I'm pretty powerful.
- 21:29Speaker 3: I should have known this. We'll take a break after
- 21:31Speaker 3: I talk about this for a minute. I should have
- 21:33Speaker 3: known going to the outdoor section, just how well stocked
- 21:35Speaker 3: that this was for folks. If you're if you have
- 21:37Speaker 3: an outdoorsman in your life or outdoors person in your life,
- 21:41Speaker 3: and you're looking to get some things that could be
- 21:43Speaker 3: big ticket items for the holiday coming up. There's tons
- 21:45Speaker 3: of great things on here. There's some compound bows. Now,
- 21:48Speaker 3: as Chris Lawrence will tell you, I am legally prohibited
- 21:50Speaker 3: from touching a bow. When I was about eleven, I
- 21:53Speaker 3: was in Scouts, and I was at some older friends
- 21:57Speaker 3: houses and they uh were playing with a little fiberglass
- 22:01Speaker 3: bow in their backyard, and so I was the scout.
- 22:04Speaker 3: I had taken some archery courses. I'm like, hey, man,
- 22:06Speaker 3: I can show you guys how to do this this
- 22:08Speaker 3: bow and arrow thing, right, So I grabbed the bow
- 22:10Speaker 3: and line it up to the target, which was a
- 22:12Speaker 3: tree stump on a hill behind their house, and line
- 22:14Speaker 3: it up. Let that arrow fly flies right over the target,
- 22:17Speaker 3: over the little hill and straight into the air conditioner
- 22:20Speaker 3: of their knee. Oh, you know, just pouring out of
- 22:25Speaker 3: the thing. And what happened. Then this is instructive. Everybody
- 22:28Speaker 3: ran except me, so like all my friends too. I
- 22:32Speaker 3: have the boat and I'm holding I'm like, man, that
- 22:33Speaker 3: is terrible. I'm in trouble. You know. I didn't run.
- 22:36Speaker 3: I like went and told the people that I shot
- 22:39Speaker 3: their air conditioner with a bow and arrow. And then
- 22:41Speaker 3: I walked home and told my mom and dad, and
- 22:42Speaker 3: we walked back over there and dealt with the whole thing.
- 22:45Speaker 3: It wasn't a pleasant experience, but I learned that maybe
- 22:47Speaker 3: I shouldn't have a bow and arrow.
- 22:48Speaker 5: Yeah, that's why it's good to have good homeowners.
- 22:51Speaker 3: And sure, yeah, that's why. Chris Lawres tells me that
- 22:54Speaker 3: I'm allowed to produce this show, but I can't go
- 22:55Speaker 3: out with it's kind of dangerous. Let's do this. Let's
- 22:59Speaker 3: take a break. We still plenty of stuff we want
- 23:00Speaker 3: to talk about as far as what's going on again.

- 25:40Speaker 3: Twelve minutes until the Talk of the Hour. You're listening
- 25:42Speaker 3: to HS the Voice of Charleston. I'm Cooper, Thanks for
- 25:46Speaker 3: tuning in. When this Tuesday morning, I think winter is
- 25:49Speaker 3: finally here, well not officially, I guess that's in. When
- 25:52Speaker 3: is that?
- 25:52Speaker 5: That's the number of twentieth Yeah, yeah, that's coming up.
- 25:55Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah. This solstice is around the twenty first
- 25:57Speaker 3: or twenty second or something like that.
- 25:58Speaker 4: We get at anniversary and then after that we'll get
- 26:01Speaker 4: a seventy degree day.
- 26:02Speaker 5: Yeah, right, the winter officially starts.
- 26:05Speaker 3: It is interesting that we were having like sixty five
- 26:07Speaker 3: seventy degree days up until the point where we didn't.
- 26:09Speaker 3: I mean, I guess that's the way it goes.
- 26:11Speaker 5: But like somebody shut the door.
- 26:12Speaker 3: It wasn't like seventy then sixty, then fifty, then forty
- 26:14Speaker 3: then thirty. It was like sixty five then thirty. It's
- 26:17Speaker 3: like we went in to hurt it. But it is
- 26:19Speaker 3: definitely winter out there now. That means that we're getting
- 26:21Speaker 3: a little bit more into the holiday season. By the way,
- 26:23Speaker 3: I wanted to remind you if you're listening, you've probably
- 26:25Speaker 3: heard advertisements for it, But the Charles and Christmas Parade,
- 26:28Speaker 3: which is Thursday night, we're going to air that live
- 26:30Speaker 3: here on five ADWHS. We've done that the last few years.
- 26:33Speaker 3: It's a work in progress. We're trying to get it up.
- 26:35Speaker 3: Chris Lawrence and the whole staff here is enamored by
- 26:39Speaker 3: old school radio. Parades on TV have been a thing forever,
- 26:43Speaker 3: and I believe that the medium of radio really gives
- 26:45Speaker 3: us a nice way to present those things. Of course,
- 26:47Speaker 3: you can't see all the floats and things like that,
- 26:50Speaker 3: but you can talk to the people and it's a
- 26:51Speaker 3: real personable experience. Chris Lawrence and Bobby spra along with
- 26:54Speaker 3: Stephen Jenny from V one hundred are going to be
- 26:57Speaker 3: presenting that and a cast of whoever shows up. We'll
- 27:00Speaker 3: all be there.
- 27:00Speaker 4: Since radio is the theater of the mind, you know,
- 27:03Speaker 4: those people are experts in creating a mental picture of
- 27:06Speaker 4: what's going on. Although we well you might have it
- 27:08Speaker 4: on our Facebook page exactly.
- 27:10Speaker 3: You might just be able to see the pictures. But
- 27:12Speaker 3: the idea is, but the idea is you hear the bands,
- 27:14Speaker 3: you hear the music, you get to you know, the
- 27:16Speaker 3: mayor will stop by. You know, there'll be cool things
- 27:18Speaker 3: like you can hear.
- 27:19Speaker 4: It a lot better. Plus get more explanations. I you know,
- 27:22Speaker 4: I'm going to watch a parade on TV. Sometimes I
- 27:25Speaker 4: really don't know what's going on, you know, other than
- 27:27Speaker 4: I'm watching it go by.
- 27:28Speaker 3: Yeah, right. And the other thing that I'll mention a
- 27:31Speaker 3: lot of times, when you're at a live sporting event,
- 27:34Speaker 3: streaming isn't great because and this is why I say,
- 27:37Speaker 3: there's nothing like seeing a live sporting event listening to
- 27:40Speaker 3: it on the radio. If you go to a high
- 27:41Speaker 3: school gaming you listen to that game on five adwhs.
- 27:43Speaker 3: The play by play is a perfect complimentary to the game.
- 27:46Speaker 3: It's going along just like you're watching on TV. If
- 27:48Speaker 3: you're listening to it on an app, it's not the
- 27:50Speaker 3: same way. It's going to be at least thirty seconds delay.
- 27:52Speaker 3: It's going to be behind the action that's on the
- 27:53Speaker 3: field because of latency from streaming. On this parade, it's
- 27:56Speaker 3: not going to matter as much. We're just going to
- 27:58Speaker 3: be talking to the people involved with the parade, describing
- 28:00Speaker 3: the floats as they go by and stuff like that.
- 28:02Speaker 3: So even if streaming is a little delayed, it's not
- 28:04Speaker 3: like it's play about play action on the field, so
- 28:06Speaker 3: you can check it out.
- 28:07Speaker 4: You know, it was very common in the days before
- 28:08Speaker 4: television for radio.
- 28:10Speaker 5: To be at events.
- 28:11Speaker 4: Yeah, Ernie Saunders was walking back on the streets of Charleston,
- 28:15Speaker 4: you know when, and victory in Japan day after World
- 28:18Speaker 4: War two and victory in Europe day. There are trans
- 28:23Speaker 4: I guess there are recordings of that because I think
- 28:26Speaker 4: he did it on disc, recorded on his back on
- 28:29Speaker 4: a disc you know, recordable disc player, and brought it
- 28:33Speaker 4: back to the studio and played it back for you know,
- 28:37Speaker 4: for people who you know, want to hear about the
- 28:40Speaker 4: latest into World War two news.
- 28:42Speaker 3: It's incredible and Frankly, we take that concept and transfer
- 28:47Speaker 3: it to modern technology because basically Chris Lawrence is out
- 28:49Speaker 3: there with the remote access unit, or Steph Jenny especially,
- 28:52Speaker 3: we'll be out there with a remote access unit. It's
- 28:53Speaker 3: basically the same technology, just you know, one hundred years
- 28:56Speaker 3: in the future for the most part, or seventy five
- 28:58Speaker 3: years in the future. By the way, our friends Liberty
- 29:00Speaker 3: Row in South Hills are the sponsors of the Christmas
- 29:02Speaker 3: Parade this year, so they're presenting it on five ADWCHS.
- 29:06Speaker 3: That'll be Thursday night at seven o'clock as WCHS broadcasts
- 29:09Speaker 3: the Charleston Christmas Prade. But let's not forget wv bargains
- 29:12Speaker 3: dot Com. That's what Ron and I are here this
- 29:13Speaker 3: morning talking about. I'm Dell Cooper. That's Ron Hughes, account
- 29:16Speaker 3: executive from our sales department here at WVRC Media in
- 29:19Speaker 3: Charleston and wv Bargins as a service that we provide
- 29:22Speaker 3: on the website wv bargains dot Com. It's a it's
- 29:26Speaker 3: an agreement between us and our advertisers where we're working
- 29:29Speaker 3: out some business between us and giving you the fruits
- 29:32Speaker 3: of our labor more or less. So you can find.
- 29:34Speaker 3: We were talking about the different things that you can find.
- 29:38Speaker 3: The initial discounts sixty five percent. A lot of the
- 29:40Speaker 3: buy it now discounts are already thirty five percent baked in.
- 29:43Speaker 3: So if you can, if you don't want to wait
- 29:45Speaker 3: around for the bids, or you're worried that it might
- 29:46Speaker 3: get a little bit above that, you can go in
- 29:48Speaker 3: on a lot of these lies, not all of them,
- 29:49Speaker 3: but on alight of the items and just bombed outright
- 29:52Speaker 3: for like thirty five percent off. And I think that
- 29:54Speaker 3: even that, even if you don't go through the bidding
- 29:56Speaker 3: process on a lot of these things, that's really worth it.
- 29:58Speaker 3: We roll it out this time of year. But because
- 30:00Speaker 3: there's all kinds of great things one here that where
- 30:02Speaker 3: you can go and get your you can get stuff
- 30:05Speaker 3: for your loved ones. We were talking about. I told
- 30:06Speaker 3: that little story about Bow and Arrow before we went
- 30:09Speaker 3: on the break, but what I kind of bury the lead.
- 30:11Speaker 3: For example, there's a Prime Redicks compound bow that is
- 30:15Speaker 3: on the site. It retails for thirteen hundred dollars. The
- 30:18Speaker 3: current bid for it right now is under five hundred dollars.
- 30:20Speaker 3: Right that's gargantuan discount.
- 30:22Speaker 4: And you can click on it find out you know
- 30:24Speaker 4: which business has it. I'm not sure which one has
- 30:27Speaker 4: that one, but you can click on it find the business.
- 30:31Speaker 4: I believe you can also click and get it, you know,
- 30:35Speaker 4: go to that business's website. But this one looks like
- 30:37Speaker 4: it's apparently in Morgantown.
- 30:38Speaker 3: Now, this one's in Morgantown from Sportsman's Imporium.
- 30:40Speaker 5: But for a bargain like that, you'd be willing to
- 30:43Speaker 5: drive to get it for half.
- 30:44Speaker 3: Price, even the buy it now price, which is seven
- 30:46Speaker 3: hundred and forty nine dollars at a retail of twelve
- 30:49Speaker 3: hundred and fifty. You would drive to Morgantown for that.
- 30:51Speaker 3: You would definitely or have your you know, mother in
- 30:53Speaker 3: law who lives up there, or your kid who goes
- 30:55Speaker 3: to school up there or whatever pick it up for you,
- 30:56Speaker 3: you know.
- 30:56Speaker 4: Right, you know, since it is getting to be wintertime,
- 30:59Speaker 4: we usually always try to have some wood stoves and
- 31:02Speaker 4: fireside and patio and cross Lanes always provides some good
- 31:05Speaker 4: either wood stoves.
- 31:07Speaker 5: Or gas logs, fireplaces so forth.
- 31:10Speaker 4: But this Pacific Energy wood stove, it's ordinarily thirty one
- 31:15Speaker 4: hundred and sixty six dollars. You're able to start a
- 31:18Speaker 4: bit on it at twelve hundred and sixty six dollars
- 31:20Speaker 4: or by it now for eighteen ninety nine. But at
- 31:24Speaker 4: those kind of prices, you know you're getting a pedestal
- 31:28Speaker 4: wood stove with seventy two thousand BTU, which basically translates
- 31:32Speaker 4: into two thousand square foot warming capacity, ignificant coverage, so
- 31:39Speaker 4: you know, it's a pretty good sized house. You could
- 31:41Speaker 4: you know, if you have a really large house, it'll
- 31:43Speaker 4: probably cover a whole floor, or if you you know,
- 31:46Speaker 4: if you have a smaller house, might do the whole house.
- 31:49Speaker 4: But it's got various speed blower and baffle system and
- 31:54Speaker 4: extended burn technology for more more efficiency. So now some
- 31:58Speaker 4: of these you'll have to go when you go to
- 32:00Speaker 4: the Turtle BID's website, you go to the product descriptions,
- 32:06Speaker 4: you'll you'll go to the product categories. I should say
- 32:09Speaker 4: so under that would be under you find a little
- 32:12Speaker 4: faster under Homan Garden instead of just going to Charleston
- 32:15Speaker 4: and looking at all the different items, but you can
- 32:17Speaker 4: look at just home and garden items just by going
- 32:20Speaker 4: to the categories in the in the website. So there's
- 32:25Speaker 4: Homan Garden, Jewelry, getaway vacations, health, and beauty. If you're
- 32:30Speaker 4: only interested in furniture, there's a section for that anything
- 32:33Speaker 4: automotive related, So you basically cut to the chase of
- 32:37Speaker 4: the different types of If you're decorating a house, you
- 32:39Speaker 4: can go and see all of the different decorative categories
- 32:44Speaker 4: house decorating or home and garden, or if you're into fitness,
- 32:49Speaker 4: there's exercise and recreation. I think we always get Trick
- 32:53Speaker 4: County Y MCA memberships great also for that Valley Park
- 32:58Speaker 4: and Hurricane also is always a part of it. And
- 33:01Speaker 4: then the City of Saint Albans City Pool has a
- 33:05Speaker 4: season membership. They're starting when pool season starts. So there's
- 33:10Speaker 4: a lot of fitness items sporting goods, you know, So
- 33:13Speaker 4: if you're into sporting, you know, into fitness, you could
- 33:16Speaker 4: look under both sporting goods and under exercise recreation.
- 33:20Speaker 3: If you're looking for a little wife insurance, I just
- 33:22Speaker 3: noticed I didn't even see this earlier, but Petit Jewelry
- 33:24Speaker 3: Designs here in Charleston has gift certificates up there right now.
- 33:28Speaker 3: Again five hundred dollar get certificate starting bit just two
- 33:30Speaker 3: hundred dollars. That's a significant discount off if you're getting
- 33:34Speaker 3: your wife some jewelry for the holidays, or maybe you
- 33:37Speaker 3: have a winter anniversary like I do. I have an
- 33:39Speaker 3: anniversary in December. This would be a great opportunity to
- 33:42Speaker 3: get something like that and she doesn't have to know
- 33:43Speaker 3: that you save some money, or if she likes that
- 33:45Speaker 3: kind of thing, you can make that part of the gift. Hey,
- 33:47Speaker 3: I got you this necklace and I saved two hundred dollars.
- 33:49Speaker 5: Saved enough money we can go to dinner.
- 33:51Speaker 3: Yeah, that's not a bad deal.
- 33:52Speaker 4: With jewelry stores, we generally recommend doing a certificate rather
- 33:56Speaker 4: than an individual item because everybody has different teas.
- 33:59Speaker 3: Yeah, it's hard to sell that one ring or whatever
- 34:01Speaker 3: it might.
- 34:01Speaker 4: Be, right, And this way, you know, people can get
- 34:04Speaker 4: a certificate to buy what they want.
- 34:05Speaker 3: I think that's a great deal. And again, frankly, seeing
- 34:08Speaker 3: this one here and knowing, you know, I have a
- 34:10Speaker 3: daughter to a wife to buy for, that's that's not
- 34:13Speaker 3: such a bad thing. So again, it's WV bargains dot com.
- 34:16Speaker 3: WV bargains dot com. You go to that website. There's
- 34:19Speaker 3: a couple of different ways it's laid out. You can
- 34:20Speaker 3: just scroll down the site. You can see all the
- 34:21Speaker 3: different locations where you have WVRC Media stations basically, so
- 34:25Speaker 3: these are all stations within the umbrella of our company,
- 34:28Speaker 3: w VRC Media. So the regions are broken down into
- 34:32Speaker 3: where we have stations. But also, like Ron just said,
- 34:34Speaker 3: you can go to the drop down menu over on
- 34:36Speaker 3: the side where it says categories, and if you scroll
- 34:38Speaker 3: down past the locations, you can see all of the
- 34:40Speaker 3: individual categories from the items that we have on here.
- 34:44Speaker 3: And like we said before, everything from a from a
- 34:46Speaker 3: sleeve tattoo or a quarter sleeve tattoo to truck driving school.
- 34:49Speaker 3: I can't think of a more diverse area of things. Well,
- 34:52Speaker 3: I don't know. I guess tattoos and truck driving.
- 34:54Speaker 4: Things you might think about, you know, furniture from Dunbar Furniture.
- 34:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I saw that too. That's my house is furnished
- 35:00Speaker 3: from Dunbar Furniture. And what a great deal those.
- 35:02Speaker 4: Are absolutely absolutely it's incredible how many people that I
- 35:08Speaker 4: know that purchase these items and everybody's really happy about it.
- 35:11Speaker 4: Whatever they bought, you know, they're happy because it's a
- 35:15Speaker 4: good deal. But the quality is all you know of
- 35:18Speaker 4: our clients is also top notch.
- 35:21Speaker 3: And this is another great thing that unlike on eBay
- 35:23Speaker 3: or one of the national sites where you see the
- 35:25Speaker 3: picture of the thing, you don't really know where it's
- 35:27Speaker 3: coming from. I mean, frankly, most of the stuff that
- 35:28Speaker 3: you see on eBay anymore are drop shipped from foreign locations.
- 35:31Speaker 3: You know, you see it, and it's actually you'll see
- 35:34Speaker 3: the person has, you know, hundreds of thousands of ratings,
- 35:36Speaker 3: even if their ratings are good or whatever, and it's
- 35:38Speaker 3: not that they have bad service, but that product that
- 35:40Speaker 3: you're buying, although the location of the store might be
- 35:42Speaker 3: in the US, is likely drop shipped from China or
- 35:45Speaker 3: Bangladesh or India or something like that. I know where
- 35:47Speaker 3: all the companies are. I have their information. It's relatively
- 35:50Speaker 3: easy to do, and you can set up stores on
- 35:51Speaker 3: eBay like that. So unlike that situation, you're stopping local, local, local.
- 35:55Speaker 3: These are actual stores, most of them with brick and
- 35:56Speaker 3: mortar locations that you can walk in and see the
- 35:59Speaker 3: people that provide the guest time.
- 36:01Speaker 4: I would say the majority ninety percent of these are
- 36:04Speaker 4: locally owned mom and pop shops you know there. I
- 36:08Speaker 4: don't think there are any chain stores in here or franchises,
- 36:12Speaker 4: but you know, for example, as local as it gets,
- 36:14Speaker 4: you know Saint Alban's Mini Storage has storage units twelve
- 36:18Speaker 4: month rentals. You know, ordinarily fifteen hundred dollars. You know,
- 36:21Speaker 4: you can get them for as little as six hundred dollars.
- 36:24Speaker 4: Or there's a limousine service from Channeler Limousine. There's season
- 36:30Speaker 4: passes from the Alban Arts Center, or acting classes for
- 36:33Speaker 4: your kids from autumn from the Art Center, and gift
- 36:38Speaker 4: certificates from Penny Pinchers.
- 36:39Speaker 3: It's great stuff. It's wv bargains dot Com. Wv bargains
- 36:42Speaker 3: dot Com that it goes through Friday, right, so it
- 36:44Speaker 3: goes through Friday.
- 36:45Speaker 4: Goes through Friday. All individual items will end at different times, so.
- 36:48Speaker 3: Check it out. That's wv bargains dot Com. Thanks for
- 36:50Speaker 3: tuning in this morning, Ron, Thanks for your time my pleasure.
- 36:52Speaker 3: Well check it out later on w c HS fightingdwc
- 36:59Speaker 3: HSAM point five at the in Charleston one oh.
