- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Benn and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with her Radio. It is another episode of the almost
- 0:07Speaker 1: famous podcast. We are here with Ashley and there's somebody snoring.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Ashley in your lap. So if the listeners hear it,
- 0:16Speaker 1: who's hanging out with you today? His dozen. He's always
- 0:20Speaker 1: hanging out with me. Literally, he loves his little chest
- 0:24Speaker 1: carrier pouch thing. Shout out to already Pop for giving
- 0:28Speaker 1: me this. It's been the greatest gift we have received,
- 0:33Speaker 1: no offense to all the other gifts. This thing keeps
- 0:37Speaker 1: him content when he's going his most wild. Really, he's
- 0:41Speaker 1: having a total scream attack. Doesn't want to bottle, doesn't
- 0:45Speaker 1: want a pacifier, doesn't like his swing, his bounce or
- 0:48Speaker 1: anything like that. This has not failed us once, so
- 0:52Speaker 1: knock on wood. We've always had a solution to his crying.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Ha ha ha ha. That's a big deal. It's a
- 0:59Speaker 1: really big deal. I'm sure it will fail us one
- 1:03Speaker 1: day and I will freak out. But then I'm just
- 1:04Speaker 1: gonna put him in the bath because his other favorite
- 1:07Speaker 1: spot in the entire world is the bathtub. When he's
- 1:10Speaker 1: even near the bathtub, like when I lay him on
- 1:12Speaker 1: a towel before he gets in, he calms down like
- 1:16Speaker 1: he knows he's getting in. It's his favorite time of
- 1:18Speaker 1: We do it a couple of times a week. I'm
- 1:20Speaker 1: gonna keep doing it more and more though, because it
- 1:22Speaker 1: puts him to sleep really well at night. Well that
- 1:25Speaker 1: is uh, that's also Jessica's favorite place is the bath,
- 1:28Speaker 1: Like if she's stressed, start that's Jared's chairy place. That's funny, yeah,
- 1:32Speaker 1: because if like, if I want to be a good
- 1:34Speaker 1: husband and she's like, I've had a hard day, Like
- 1:36Speaker 1: I mean, it's I'm thinking, like it's one of the
- 1:39Speaker 1: easiest things I could ever do. It's just run a
- 1:42Speaker 1: bath and all of a sudden she's happy and she's like,
- 1:46Speaker 1: you're the best husband ever. And I'm like, hey, I
- 1:50Speaker 1: just turned on some water in the night, little bubble
- 1:54Speaker 1: bath and some bath salts, and it really makes it
- 1:57Speaker 1: seem like you know, that says you care. Yeah, still
- 2:00Speaker 1: trying to figure out Whalen's favorite thing that calms him
- 2:03Speaker 1: down he's gotten in a mood, Actually tell me this,
- 2:05Speaker 1: you're you're you've raised a few puffs in your life.
- 2:08Speaker 1: When he has to go to the bathroom now instead
- 2:11Speaker 1: of going to the door, he gets a like he
- 2:14Speaker 1: like nips at my heels. Is that a thing? Yeah?
- 2:17Speaker 1: I have not experienced that, but you're lucky that he
- 2:20Speaker 1: tells you. And I'm in lucky, yeah, because he gets
- 2:23Speaker 1: bigger and his his his bathroom breaks get bigger, and
- 2:26Speaker 1: I'm glad he's not doing in the house. How how
- 2:29Speaker 1: is his training? Did that teach him potty training? Um?
- 2:32Speaker 1: Just like in two weeks? Yeah, it did, It went well.
- 2:35Speaker 1: It did. We're going we're doing well with him. He's
- 2:38Speaker 1: sleeping longer now and so we're not up at you know,
- 2:41Speaker 1: four in the morning and then five in the morning. Uh.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Every I mean, he's really such a good pup. He's
- 2:46Speaker 1: so much fun. And last night I got home. My
- 2:50Speaker 1: buddy Brandon had a had his birthday party in Zion
- 2:56Speaker 1: and we played golf out there for a few days,
- 2:58Speaker 1: and Welles was actually able to come because one of
- 2:59Speaker 1: my other buddy's backed down and so Wells drove up
- 3:01Speaker 1: from l A and joined us, which was awesome. We
- 3:04Speaker 1: played golf and then I came home and it's just
- 3:06Speaker 1: so incredible to walk through the front door and to
- 3:09Speaker 1: have him just run full steam at you and then
- 3:12Speaker 1: just love on you like he just like it's such
- 3:16Speaker 1: a crazy cool feeling. And then poor Jess like she
- 3:19Speaker 1: stands there as like I'm loving on him, and then
- 3:21Speaker 1: stands and waits for her turn. She just doesn't run
- 3:24Speaker 1: and jump and tackle me like he does. Oh, I
- 3:27Speaker 1: feel the exact same way. It's been like that for
- 3:30Speaker 1: over three years now. I'm used to Lowest getting the
- 3:33Speaker 1: most attention. First up, It's really cute. When I see
- 3:37Speaker 1: Jared's car lights coming up, I'll say to Lowest before
- 3:41Speaker 1: even the garage door gets up, and she can hear it.
- 3:43Speaker 1: I'll be like, Lowest, really, I don't even have to
- 3:46Speaker 1: say it. Exciting way, I can be like Lowest, Dad's
- 3:49Speaker 1: hum and then all that she runs to the garage door.
- 3:53Speaker 1: It's so cute. That is that is amazing. It's like,
- 3:58Speaker 1: you know English, it's so cool Lois, Dad's him. That's incredible.
- 4:05Speaker 1: It's one of the wonders of life is having a
- 4:07Speaker 1: pup love you so much. But it is a good thing.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Coming home and we had a great time Ashley playing golf.
- 4:13Speaker 1: U Wells and I went head to head again, which
- 4:15Speaker 1: we love to do. One thought an eagle. I had
- 4:20Speaker 1: an eagle? Is that two or three to a par four. Yeah,
- 4:26Speaker 1: Wolf Creek, it was. It was. That was a great experience. So, um,
- 4:30Speaker 1: we celebrated Brandon. You know, he's my buddy with a LS. Yeah. Yeah,
- 4:35Speaker 1: and uh, this was kind of one of his deals,
- 4:37Speaker 1: let's go do something really fun this year together, and
- 4:39Speaker 1: so we did. Brandon is still able to play golf
- 4:43Speaker 1: really well. Um, it's lost a lot of distance um
- 4:47Speaker 1: on his on his ball flight, but he's playing golf well.
- 4:50Speaker 1: And a lot of guys from Worse, Sdiana that are
- 4:53Speaker 1: friends of ours and then from out here in Denver,
- 4:56Speaker 1: and then obviously Wells joined us and he knew some
- 4:58Speaker 1: of the guys kind of but not l Um fit
- 5:01Speaker 1: in perfectly. And we just played golf and hung out
- 5:03Speaker 1: and celebrated Brandon for a few days. And uh and
- 5:06Speaker 1: it's actually St. George, Utah. And it was. It was
- 5:09Speaker 1: quite the trip. It was worth doing. I've been gone
- 5:11Speaker 1: a lot, so it's a little stressed out about leaving again,
- 5:13Speaker 1: and but you know it was obviously it was worth it. Yeah,
- 5:20Speaker 1: it's so worth it. I mean, I'm we're hoping for
- 5:22Speaker 1: a miracle. We're believing in a miracle. And one day,
- 5:25Speaker 1: ten years down the road, we'll talk about these trips still,
- 5:27Speaker 1: but right now it's important for us to to take
- 5:30Speaker 1: advantage of every cool moment we have, and that was
- 5:33Speaker 1: one of them. Just to remind the audience, Um, Brandon
- 5:36Speaker 1: is your friend who has a l S. I know
- 5:38Speaker 1: that you guys went to Boston to maybe figure out
- 5:41Speaker 1: a good treatment plan for him. Um, how is that
- 5:44Speaker 1: trip about two months ago? You know it's it's been
- 5:47Speaker 1: really incredible for a few reasons. Um. One is if
- 5:51Speaker 1: anybody out there listening has a family member or they've
- 5:54Speaker 1: known of somebody, or they're affected with a l S.
- 5:56Speaker 1: The momentum behind this, I mean, there's no words to
- 6:01Speaker 1: describe how terriblest diseases. The momentum behind it is getting better.
- 6:05Speaker 1: So don't think it's great, but it's getting better. There's
- 6:07Speaker 1: more research, more therapies coming out. Brandon is kind of
- 6:13Speaker 1: because of his age and because of really how slow
- 6:15Speaker 1: it's progressed, he's kind of in the heart of a
- 6:17Speaker 1: lot of these therapies. He's he's doing what he can
- 6:20Speaker 1: and uh, you know, to get better. But you know,
- 6:24Speaker 1: we've we've had a lot of really great months with him,
- 6:26Speaker 1: and we're we have trips playing in the future together
- 6:29Speaker 1: with him. Like we're just gonna keep having fun, uh
- 6:32Speaker 1: and hoping for the best and believing in the best,
- 6:34Speaker 1: but knowing that hey, um and you know, the best
- 6:37Speaker 1: might not come. It's been a really good life lessons
- 6:40Speaker 1: for me. And it hit me this week. We're sitting,
- 6:42Speaker 1: uh in our airbnb. We're watching the Masters, We're having drinks.
- 6:48Speaker 1: Take a good weekend for you guys to get together.
- 6:51Speaker 1: It's a great weekend. Yeah, they come on, I mean Masters, golf,
- 6:54Speaker 1: buddies together, hot tub. But we were sitting we got
- 6:58Speaker 1: Costco steaks, um, and we're sitting together, and I was
- 7:02Speaker 1: looking around me and I was like, you know what,
- 7:04Speaker 1: like really unfortunate and sad. There's for for where why
- 7:09Speaker 1: we're here. Not you know, we're not the only reason
- 7:10Speaker 1: we're there is because he has a list were there
- 7:12Speaker 1: to celebrate too. But um, it's kind of taught me
- 7:16Speaker 1: kind of like that song like live like you were dying,
- 7:19Speaker 1: what would you want to do? I mean, you can't
- 7:21Speaker 1: be traveling every week and you can't be playing thirty
- 7:23Speaker 1: rounds of golf in three months. That's especially when you're married.
- 7:27Speaker 1: But uh, it's helped me just realize, um, what it
- 7:32Speaker 1: means to live like you were dying. Like, take the
- 7:35Speaker 1: present moments and enjoy them. Take the little things and
- 7:38Speaker 1: enjoy them, the little victories and enjoy them, and and
- 7:41Speaker 1: sit in that joy, uh, and not stressed so much
- 7:45Speaker 1: out about, you know, the future, which is what I
- 7:47Speaker 1: did last year. Actually, in July of last year, you know,
- 7:49Speaker 1: the headlines came out that I had a breakdown, and
- 7:52Speaker 1: you know, I kind of said I kind of was,
- 7:54Speaker 1: but a lot of it was the fear of the
- 7:55Speaker 1: future for me. Um, And so it's been really good.
- 7:59Speaker 1: This weekend was from me just to take a step
- 8:00Speaker 1: back and say, hey, um, life is good right now.
- 8:04Speaker 1: I mean, look at you. You've got your your son
- 8:06Speaker 1: in your arms. Uh, we're still doing this podcast. He
- 8:09Speaker 1: he learned to smile today. He's been inching closer and
- 8:14Speaker 1: closer as a smiling, starting to sleep and then you
- 8:17Speaker 1: can kind of see the light show up in his
- 8:19Speaker 1: face the last week, but today it was undeniable. You're smiling,
- 8:24Speaker 1: like you're having a happy moment. That is absolutely awesome. Well, um, yeah,
- 8:31Speaker 1: so that's the life takeaway this week. Um. Don't always
- 8:34Speaker 1: have them, but this week it felt like there was
- 8:36Speaker 1: a sacredness to the moments and maybe our listeners can relate,
- 8:39Speaker 1: and if you do, please let us know. It's always
- 8:41Speaker 1: great to hear the encouraging words uh from those of
- 8:45Speaker 1: you who listened. So tell Ashley and I through Instagram,
- 8:48Speaker 1: through Twitter, write us an email of what moments in
- 8:52Speaker 1: life you're learning to appreciate more and more as you
- 8:54Speaker 1: get older, or as things have changed, and as maybe
- 8:57Speaker 1: there's been some pain in your life and it's taught
- 8:59Speaker 1: you to take a step back. UM. Those are always things,
- 9:03Speaker 1: UM that encourages more than the criticism, because we know
- 9:06Speaker 1: that won't stop coming. Hey, Ashley, it is the off season,
- 9:11Speaker 1: but let me tell you, Bachelor Nation UM and the
- 9:15Speaker 1: Bachelor cast did not fail us in giving us a
- 9:18Speaker 1: ton of juicy content to talk about this week. We've
- 9:21Speaker 1: got We've we've got a lot to dig into. All
- 9:24Speaker 1: of it very interesting to me. Some of it I
- 9:26Speaker 1: don't know a lot about because I was gone and
- 9:29Speaker 1: kind of distracted. So I'm excited to learn from you.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Let's take a break and we come back. We're gonna
- 9:34Speaker 1: break down Bachelor headlines. Starting out Bachelor headlines this week,
- 9:48Speaker 1: we're gonna talk about a Kardashian. A Kardashian that is
- 9:51Speaker 1: flirting with potentially becoming the bachelorrett We've talked about it
- 9:54Speaker 1: for a while. Let's see if it's true. The headline
- 9:56Speaker 1: reads this, Chloe Kardashian speak on dating and if she's
- 10:01Speaker 1: ready to be the Bachelorette. This according to US Weekly.
- 10:04Speaker 1: You guys might remember when Mike Flice took to Twitter
- 10:08Speaker 1: saying that, like, Chloe was in like contract negotiations to
- 10:12Speaker 1: be the Bachelorette. This is like two or three years ago.
- 10:15Speaker 1: It was pretty silly. There was no merit to it,
- 10:18Speaker 1: even Chloe and I think I think that Kim say
- 10:22Speaker 1: something on Twitter like, no, Chloe will not be being
- 10:26Speaker 1: the Bachelorette. Well, this week, at the premiere of their
- 10:30Speaker 1: new Hulu show, she was asked for her she'd be
- 10:34Speaker 1: the Bachelorette, and she said, my god, my mom would probably,
- 10:38Speaker 1: And then she was interrupted by Kim who said it
- 10:40Speaker 1: would be a dream come true for their mom, for Chris,
- 10:44Speaker 1: and then Kendall interrupted and said mine too. Honestly, so,
- 10:48Speaker 1: the Kardashian clan may want her to be the Bachelorette,
- 10:52Speaker 1: but Chloe herself doesn't really think that she can pull
- 10:54Speaker 1: it off. She said, I don't think I can do
- 10:56Speaker 1: that just because they're so invested, you know. I think
- 11:00Speaker 1: she's referring to her family. They're so invested. Um. And
- 11:04Speaker 1: then like the bachelorette is making out with everyone. I
- 11:08Speaker 1: don't know if I had the heart to do that.
- 11:10Speaker 1: And then I have to not give someone a rose.
- 11:13Speaker 1: That's so mean. I don't believe she's basically just saying no,
- 11:23Speaker 1: she's not going to, but she's saying it in a
- 11:25Speaker 1: way that she's trying to give reasoning behind it. Um,
- 11:29Speaker 1: she goes, I'm like, and everyone gets invited to the
- 11:33Speaker 1: birthday party type girl. I don't think I'm built for
- 11:36Speaker 1: the Bachelorette. And then the host the I would think
- 11:39Speaker 1: it's for eat or extra says it would be good TV,
- 11:44Speaker 1: and she goes, it would be good TV. And then
- 11:47Speaker 1: she paused for a second and said, my mom is
- 11:49Speaker 1: literally gonna call right now. So I mean, this is
- 11:53Speaker 1: a more open response in what we're getting, Like a
- 11:56Speaker 1: year ago from her, one thousand percent, I still don't
- 12:00Speaker 1: think she'd ever do it. I don't think they liked
- 12:04Speaker 1: it coming from Flies, because like was trying to make
- 12:06Speaker 1: it seems like it was actually happening, and there was
- 12:09Speaker 1: like talks behind the scenes in Hollywood and it's like no, Um,
- 12:12Speaker 1: but it's like a reporter asked and they just talked
- 12:14Speaker 1: about their Bachelor at fandom, Like that's pretty cool. Well, uh,
- 12:19Speaker 1: the head Kardashian, uh, you know, hosted a show with
- 12:23Speaker 1: me during my season. The head Kardashion Chris Chris. I
- 12:28Speaker 1: forgot her name for a second. Um, but Chris did host.
- 12:33Speaker 1: I think it was after Paradise or after The Bachelor
- 12:36Speaker 1: with me one one week which I came in. They
- 12:39Speaker 1: were like, actually, Chris is going to be the guest
- 12:42Speaker 1: host if you want to come and send the audience
- 12:44Speaker 1: and meet her afterwards. So that was pretty cool. I
- 12:48Speaker 1: don't remember what she said to me, which oh I
- 12:50Speaker 1: think she said, we love watching you and I'm like,
- 12:52Speaker 1: oh my gosh, it's so good. I love watching you too.
- 13:00Speaker 1: That's so good. Well we can only hope. Well. Uh.
- 13:04Speaker 1: This week, Queen Victoria Victoria Larson um kind of made
- 13:09Speaker 1: headlines again, speaking out against production and the show. The
- 13:16Speaker 1: headline reads this, Queen Victoria Larson truly hates the Bachelor producers.
- 13:20Speaker 1: The quote is I had the worst experience on the show.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Disaccointed to us Weekly. So she took to Instagram story
- 13:27Speaker 1: and did one of those q and as, and she
- 13:29Speaker 1: said doing the show is probably the worst experience of
- 13:32Speaker 1: my life, and I hate the producers truly. Can't you
- 13:35Speaker 1: just hear her saying this. I hear in her tone
- 13:37Speaker 1: and voice. She goes, however, I try to look with
- 13:41Speaker 1: with a greater perspective, and there are more significant issues
- 13:44Speaker 1: in the world in minor immunuscule in comparison, focus on
- 13:48Speaker 1: my blessings. Always. One of my favorite things is when
- 13:51Speaker 1: people recognize me and our purposefully ruds me because they
- 13:55Speaker 1: think I'm an awful person. It's almost as great as
- 13:58Speaker 1: online trolls. She said that it was fun being called
- 14:03Speaker 1: queen on set, and um she I guess she wasn't
- 14:07Speaker 1: thinking that it was going to have negative connotations, But
- 14:10Speaker 1: then she says, effort, who doesn't love being called queen.
- 14:15Speaker 1: She also said something along the lines of the producers
- 14:18Speaker 1: are manipulative and they pick and choose storylines. Well, welcome
- 14:23Speaker 1: to reality TV, queen. Any comments on this, Ashley, I mean,
- 14:30Speaker 1: there's no way, like there's some things can that can
- 14:33Speaker 1: be a little bit fiddled with, you know, But her
- 14:37Speaker 1: behavior it was too much to be filled with, and
- 14:41Speaker 1: so was her tone and attitude towards the girls and
- 14:43Speaker 1: all that, Like there's no, there's no way that like
- 14:48Speaker 1: she quote got a bad edit, Like no, she was
- 14:51Speaker 1: just bad behaved, behaved badly. Yeah, it wasn't the best
- 14:55Speaker 1: look on TV and kind of like we've talked about before,
- 15:00Speaker 1: And I know not everybody agrees with me on this,
- 15:02Speaker 1: and that's that's fine. But when you're on the show
- 15:09Speaker 1: and you can blame producers for a lot of things,
- 15:12Speaker 1: and I and I do know there's been some people
- 15:14Speaker 1: that have been edited poorly and unfairly. Right, The only
- 15:18Speaker 1: one I can really speak of from a personal interaction
- 15:22Speaker 1: being on the show is Olivia. Olivia was not the
- 15:25Speaker 1: villain of the twentieth season of The Bachelor, but she
- 15:28Speaker 1: became one. And that was unfortuate. Not the villain of
- 15:31Speaker 1: Bachelor in Paradise season three. I'm just gonna start that's great, Um,
- 15:35Speaker 1: I believe it because you're not a villain. Yeah, you
- 15:40Speaker 1: close that door. But you can always say no to
- 15:44Speaker 1: the producers. Like that's the thing that people just don't
- 15:47Speaker 1: seem to understand where they go on the show. It's
- 15:48Speaker 1: like a producer ask you to do something, of course
- 15:51Speaker 1: they're going to ask you to do something. They're trying
- 15:53Speaker 1: to create drama, they're trying to create a show. But
- 15:56Speaker 1: you have all abilities. They're never gonna bully you or
- 16:00Speaker 1: worsh you to do a thing. And so to blame
- 16:03Speaker 1: stuff solely on the producers, I feel like it's not
- 16:06Speaker 1: taking advantage of the opportunity to learn and grow and become,
- 16:11Speaker 1: you know, more refined as a human, which we've seen
- 16:14Speaker 1: so many people do, right. I mean, look at Thomas Jacobs.
- 16:17Speaker 1: Thomas Jacobs had a bad edit during his season on
- 16:19Speaker 1: the show. He came off as a villain, he came
- 16:21Speaker 1: off as um, fame hungry, all these things, and now
- 16:25Speaker 1: he is an incredible partner to one of my closest
- 16:28Speaker 1: friends from the franchise, Becca, and he did that by
- 16:31Speaker 1: going on Paradise and saying, hey, these are opportunities to
- 16:33Speaker 1: learn amazing stance And what how do we think of
- 16:37Speaker 1: Thomas today, Not as the guy that's the villain from
- 16:40Speaker 1: the seat that season. No, we think of him as
- 16:42Speaker 1: as Becca's boyfriend and as somebody that is very desirable
- 16:46Speaker 1: for fans to follow from the show. So I'm just
- 16:50Speaker 1: saying here, I'm sure Victoria had a poor experience. I
- 16:53Speaker 1: don't want to say, oh, Victoria, I'm not hearing you
- 16:56Speaker 1: out here. I I have no question that you did
- 16:59Speaker 1: not have a good experience on the show. I'm just
- 17:01Speaker 1: saying when you solely blame the producers, I just can't
- 17:03Speaker 1: get fully behind that because you can say no to stuff. Yeah,
- 17:08Speaker 1: I'll add one little thing in though. Sometimes they leave
- 17:12Speaker 1: things out that will give you context to why people
- 17:16Speaker 1: are behaving in such a way. Yeah, well so, I
- 17:20Speaker 1: mean maybe there would be. That's from my experience with
- 17:25Speaker 1: the bad episodes that I had. It's like, um, you
- 17:28Speaker 1: guys aren't seeing a whole other thing. But it wasn't
- 17:31Speaker 1: so much like, of course I was acting like that,
- 17:33Speaker 1: but maybe people would have understood a little bit better.
- 17:36Speaker 1: Why if there is added context. Sure, context is important,
- 17:42Speaker 1: and you hear cast members get off the show and say, hey,
- 17:44Speaker 1: there was more to that scenario than what you saw,
- 17:47Speaker 1: And I would say I can get behind that. Oh sure,
- 17:50Speaker 1: But I mean there's a lot of a lot of
- 17:52Speaker 1: filming and a lot of editing, and if things are
- 17:54Speaker 1: left out, I go, that's either unfortunate or like makes
- 18:00Speaker 1: it makes sense. Typically it's unfortunate because it makes somebody look, um,
- 18:04Speaker 1: love hungry, and it makes people look like they're chasing
- 18:08Speaker 1: after something or they're overly emotional. Those things are unfair
- 18:11Speaker 1: for cast members. Get that edit. However, the things that
- 18:14Speaker 1: are shown are typically not from my experience that edited
- 18:19Speaker 1: up in terms of like how the conversation went down. Yeah, yeah,
- 18:24Speaker 1: so if you did it, you know, if if you're mean,
- 18:26Speaker 1: they're gonna show you mean. That's that's kind of that's
- 18:29Speaker 1: kind of what goes on there. But um, she came out,
- 18:32Speaker 1: people were responding. It was kind of all over the
- 18:34Speaker 1: internet for a day until some of these later headlines
- 18:36Speaker 1: popped up, which took over Bachelor Universe for uh more
- 18:41Speaker 1: than a day. But before we get there, I do
- 18:43Speaker 1: have some more headlines to read out. We have to
- 18:45Speaker 1: celebrate Bachelor lum Jennet Cooper because she marries Carl Hudson
- 18:49Speaker 1: in private ceremony. You just can't stop smiling. She said,
- 18:55Speaker 1: I'm so happy that she like has a happy ending here.
- 18:58Speaker 1: I love you guys. Remember, but she was accused by
- 19:01Speaker 1: Reality Steve of cheating on Jordan's which ended that whole
- 19:05Speaker 1: catastrophe ended up ending their engagement. However, turns out it
- 19:11Speaker 1: was all lies. But you know, neither of them were
- 19:15Speaker 1: meant to be together anyway, because Jordan got married recently
- 19:18Speaker 1: and now Jenna is marrying. She married her boyfriend, her
- 19:23Speaker 1: fiancee UM, and this is the same guy who she
- 19:27Speaker 1: has a daughter with. She said that they couldn't wait
- 19:29Speaker 1: any longer to get married, so they decided an impromptu elopement.
- 19:33Speaker 1: They did it in New Orleans over the weekend. They
- 19:37Speaker 1: said that they had plans to attend the Final Four
- 19:41Speaker 1: and it was just spontaneous and fun and they got
- 19:43Speaker 1: they got married. She said that they will be having
- 19:46Speaker 1: a wedding celebration for family and friends later down the road. Well,
- 19:52Speaker 1: congratulations with Jenner. As you said, I've been able to
- 19:55Speaker 1: meet her family. Um. She is from Indiana, and I'm
- 19:59Speaker 1: really happy that he's getting a happy ending here because
- 20:01Speaker 1: her time on the show, the backtrack wasn't necessarily fair,
- 20:05Speaker 1: fair or ideal, and it felt like it got very much.
- 20:10Speaker 1: I mean, I remember that time. We were talking about
- 20:12Speaker 1: it a lot for a couple of weeks because that
- 20:15Speaker 1: scenario Jordan continued to play out and there was text
- 20:18Speaker 1: exchange and there are screenshots and there was rumors. So
- 20:21Speaker 1: it's good now that they're both settled down and they're
- 20:24Speaker 1: both happy. Interesting headline here, Uh, we just had him
- 20:29Speaker 1: on the podcast a few weeks ago and Jason Tartek
- 20:33Speaker 1: is talking about Colton Underwood. This is the headline. Bachelor
- 20:37Speaker 1: alum Jason Tartek, who is right now on his book tour,
- 20:40Speaker 1: calls Colton Underwood very calculated. This according to page six. Now,
- 20:46Speaker 1: I don't know if this in context, and maybe actually
- 20:49Speaker 1: you can give us some context here if it was
- 20:51Speaker 1: a criticism or if it was just an explanation. Uh,
- 20:55Speaker 1: but that is the headline. Jason Tartick calls Colton Underwood
- 20:59Speaker 1: very calculated. Well, speaking of the context, this one, this
- 21:04Speaker 1: is missing a little bit. So it was an interview
- 21:07Speaker 1: with page six, so I don't have video to like
- 21:09Speaker 1: kind of confirm what the intention behind that phrase very
- 21:13Speaker 1: calculated was. But this is what he says. It's I
- 21:18Speaker 1: think this is what it's referencing, and it's a story
- 21:21Speaker 1: that I've heard before, and I know I heard it
- 21:23Speaker 1: from Jason's mouth like in a car once. I think
- 21:26Speaker 1: it was out of my heart fest. But I don't
- 21:28Speaker 1: remember whether or not he's ever been public with this.
- 21:31Speaker 1: But anyway, so this is how it went. He says
- 21:35Speaker 1: that he, Blake, and Colton were all in contention to
- 21:40Speaker 1: be the Bachelor, but Colton went into the room, you know,
- 21:44Speaker 1: the interview room with all the head haunchos, and said,
- 21:48Speaker 1: what's gonna set me apart from the other guys that
- 21:51Speaker 1: you're interviewing is that I'm going to give you the
- 21:54Speaker 1: best writings. That ended up being something that really like
- 21:59Speaker 1: sparked there to They really liked hearing that. And Jason
- 22:04Speaker 1: also says that he knows that he himself wouldn't have
- 22:09Speaker 1: been manipulated, but he thinks that Colton was down to
- 22:12Speaker 1: kind of go along with being manipulated. He says, this
- 22:16Speaker 1: is Jason saying, I'm just not in the business of
- 22:18Speaker 1: getting manipulated to create drama. One of the big reasons
- 22:22Speaker 1: is I'm boring, I'm vanilla. I know I wouldn't have
- 22:25Speaker 1: been manipulated. I wouldn't have done crazy. He was exactly right,
- 22:31Speaker 1: So I think all in all, he's saying very calculated
- 22:35Speaker 1: means he was down to do crazy drama things for ratings,
- 22:41Speaker 1: like maybe jumping over a fence. Who knows, Well, it's
- 22:46Speaker 1: good to hear somebody else call themselves vanilla and boring. Okay,
- 22:52Speaker 1: you Jason and Jared are all like on screen, you
- 22:59Speaker 1: come across like so well, there's like not one little
- 23:02Speaker 1: thing to nitpick, like, you guys are the perfect catches
- 23:06Speaker 1: and admired by all. Yeah, okay, it can come across
- 23:10Speaker 1: as vanilla on TV, but you guys aren't boring people whatsoever.
- 23:15Speaker 1: Really is just a way of saying, like, I'm going
- 23:18Speaker 1: to be well behaved, respectful on my best manners, Like Jared,
- 23:22Speaker 1: I'm going to give the girl a coat when she
- 23:24Speaker 1: dumps me. Yeah. Yeah, that was a good move. It
- 23:27Speaker 1: was a move well. I I also would argue with
- 23:31Speaker 1: Jason that I think Jason would have pulled just as
- 23:34Speaker 1: good of ratings as Colton, because a lot of Colton
- 23:37Speaker 1: season did not get great ratings up until the last
- 23:40Speaker 1: four episodes if we remember, uh those last the Finch
- 23:43Speaker 1: jump episode, and everything kind of built the whole season
- 23:46Speaker 1: built up to that moment, and then the ratings picked
- 23:48Speaker 1: up a bit. I think Jason would have been fine
- 23:50Speaker 1: at it um. But it is interesting to hear the
- 23:54Speaker 1: backstory there because that season, more than most, had three
- 23:59Speaker 1: people that very easily could have been the Bachelor, with Blake, Jason,
- 24:04Speaker 1: and Colton. I think it was a it was kind
- 24:07Speaker 1: of a crapshoot, like, I don't know who they're going
- 24:09Speaker 1: to choose, and they ended up choosing Colton. That was
- 24:12Speaker 1: the last season where it was just like whoa, Who's
- 24:15Speaker 1: going to be the Bachelor? Of all these guys good options.
- 24:19Speaker 1: Michelle kind of had that a little bit like Michelle
- 24:21Speaker 1: had a few like the Rodney's of the world, Um
- 24:25Speaker 1: kind of came in and obviously, um, they chose Clayton,
- 24:29Speaker 1: who was like, wasn't even in the top of that list,
- 24:33Speaker 1: but they did. They did have a few options there,
- 24:36Speaker 1: But yeah, that was a that was a tough one.
- 24:37Speaker 1: You didn't know who was going to be the Bachelor
- 24:39Speaker 1: from that. Yeah. I also want to say that Jared
- 24:42Speaker 1: and I went to Jason's Restart Roadmap book event in
- 24:45Speaker 1: Boston on Thursday, and it was awesome. It wasn't just
- 24:49Speaker 1: like a regular book signing. It was kind of like
- 24:51Speaker 1: a small seminar to teach you and inspire you to,
- 24:56Speaker 1: you know, create a fresh start, whether it's in your career,
- 24:58Speaker 1: in your personal life, or anything like that. And he
- 25:01Speaker 1: is perfect for events like that. You know, he's such
- 25:04Speaker 1: a great public speaker and he really is truly motivating
- 25:07Speaker 1: and He's just the sweetest. It would be crazy if
- 25:11Speaker 1: he were the bachelor, because who would have known where
- 25:13Speaker 1: he and Caitlin to be today? I agree, and then
- 25:16Speaker 1: they make a lot of sense and it's really fun
- 25:18Speaker 1: to follow them well. On the next headline, uh, Kristin
- 25:33Speaker 1: Cavaliery shares a kiss with Bachelor Nations Tyler Cameron on set.
- 25:38Speaker 1: This according to e Okay, when I first saw these pictures,
- 25:42Speaker 1: I was like, that looks like a set. Everybody was
- 25:45Speaker 1: geeking out because they thought that maybe they were dating,
- 25:47Speaker 1: but it was so setty. I was like, if Tyler
- 25:51Speaker 1: does kiss like that in just a real life scenario,
- 25:53Speaker 1: then he really is like that romantic movie lead. And
- 25:57Speaker 1: I was right. They were on photo shoot for Uncommon
- 26:02Speaker 1: James Her brand, which does you know like apparel and
- 26:04Speaker 1: home goods and jewelry and stuff. Um, and Kristen came
- 26:07Speaker 1: out and said, sweetest guy ever, Like, wow, what an
- 26:12Speaker 1: amazing guy. Loved being around him. But we are not dating.
- 26:17Speaker 1: He's just a hunk that's brought in for the campaign. Yep.
- 26:23Speaker 1: And he has the perfect look for that, doesn't he Ben.
- 26:26Speaker 1: We didn't really talk about this, but you interviewed him
- 26:28Speaker 1: when I was on my two week alternity leave. He
- 26:31Speaker 1: came across so wonderfully. He's like really grounded and down
- 26:36Speaker 1: to earth for what a celebrity he's become. Yeah, I
- 26:39Speaker 1: think so. I think that's what was so attractive about him,
- 26:44Speaker 1: um and endearing because I kind of came in that
- 26:46Speaker 1: interview thinking, Okay, I'm interviewing more of like a celebrity
- 26:50Speaker 1: more than somebody from our world. And he know, he
- 26:52Speaker 1: talked a lot about it in the interview. Even it's
- 26:54Speaker 1: worth going back and listen to, like, you know, he's
- 26:57Speaker 1: building homes now, and he i know, focusing on Florida
- 27:01Speaker 1: and where his families and his friendships, and it kind
- 27:03Speaker 1: of feels like, I mean, this might come off poorly.
- 27:06Speaker 1: I'm sure he's doing fine and there's gonna be a
- 27:08Speaker 1: lot of more opportunities to come his way, but it
- 27:10Speaker 1: almost feels like, Okay, I've ran my race and it's
- 27:13Speaker 1: been fun, and I've done the things, and I've walked
- 27:16Speaker 1: the red carpets, and I've lived in New York and
- 27:18Speaker 1: I've dated all those things, and now I see what's
- 27:22Speaker 1: important to me. And what I think he was saying
- 27:24Speaker 1: was it's the simple things in life, and that is
- 27:27Speaker 1: a great place to get to. I think any person
- 27:30Speaker 1: of any kind said, you know, when they find that out,
- 27:32Speaker 1: life gets really exciting when you can enjoy the small
- 27:35Speaker 1: little moments as I was talking about at the beginning
- 27:37Speaker 1: of the episode. And I'm just starting to learn that.
- 27:40Speaker 1: I can't even say I have yet, but I'm just
- 27:41Speaker 1: starting to learn that. And uh, it was a good
- 27:43Speaker 1: interview and he was very grounded. I think it's a
- 27:46Speaker 1: good word to use their um. But when Kristin Cavalley
- 27:50Speaker 1: comes calling and says, Hey, what are you doing? Ad
- 27:51Speaker 1: with me and make out with me, I'm sure he's
- 27:53Speaker 1: like I was gonna say, Wow, Tyler, just continue to
- 28:00Speaker 1: prove to women that you are that Nicholas Sparks character,
- 28:04Speaker 1: because he's like, all I want is to move home
- 28:06Speaker 1: and build houses with my dad with my bare hands.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Ye didn't he quote Nicholas Sparks or like have a
- 28:12Speaker 1: something in his season with Hannah Brown that was like
- 28:15Speaker 1: very Nicholas Sparks as sitting on the cliff side. Yeah,
- 28:18Speaker 1: like every moment he had he was like paddling boats
- 28:20Speaker 1: and stuff. Good for him. Yeah, some guys just can't
- 28:24Speaker 1: lose um. The next inline is this Marissa Gunn reveals
- 28:30Speaker 1: she's still looking for love after breakup with Riley Christian.
- 28:33Speaker 1: This according to Bachelor Nation. Okay, there's a little shade
- 28:36Speaker 1: in these quotes. Let me know if you pick it up.
- 28:37Speaker 1: I'm going to read a verbate him and I want
- 28:39Speaker 1: you to see if you you hear what I hear.
- 28:43Speaker 1: She said, We've decided. You know this is back in
- 28:46Speaker 1: you know, January decided that our separate ways. Never did
- 28:49Speaker 1: imagine this. He came to a point where we need
- 28:51Speaker 1: to work on ourselves. And now she is talking to
- 28:53Speaker 1: baschel nation dot com, which is like the official like
- 28:56Speaker 1: bachelor news source, you know, associated with the franchise. Now,
- 29:00Speaker 1: guess'd be if you know we are an official Bachelor
- 29:02Speaker 1: news site you know, uh organization as well. Um, she said,
- 29:08Speaker 1: I want Bachelor Nation to know I'm still looking for love.
- 29:11Speaker 1: Love is the most important thing to me. I want
- 29:14Speaker 1: a husband. Seriously. It sucks. It really sucks coming out
- 29:17Speaker 1: of an experience where you think everyone is looking for that,
- 29:20Speaker 1: especially when you think you found it like a ring
- 29:23Speaker 1: on your finger and everything. She was, I know this
- 29:25Speaker 1: experience can work, but it takes two to make it work.
- 29:29Speaker 1: Mm hmmb. But she's looking for love. That's good for her.
- 29:34Speaker 1: She deserves it. She's basically insinuating that Riley was on
- 29:39Speaker 1: the show not for love. Oh don't you hear that?
- 29:44Speaker 1: I hear it. Um, you know if you think everyone
- 29:51Speaker 1: is looking for that? And then she said it takes
- 29:54Speaker 1: two to make it work, so oh well, we wish
- 29:57Speaker 1: her the best. I know that she was at Batchel
- 30:00Speaker 1: Live on stage, or at least I think. I can't
- 30:02Speaker 1: say I know because I saw a video and I
- 30:05Speaker 1: believe she was there. Um, but maybe she wasn't. But
- 30:10Speaker 1: I believe she was at Bachelor Live on stage recently.
- 30:12Speaker 1: And I have a headline about bachel Live on Stage
- 30:15Speaker 1: more importantly about our friends here Booth. Because Tia Booth
- 30:20Speaker 1: gets engaged this week at Bachelor Live on stage to
- 30:26Speaker 1: her boyfriend. It's a big deal. It's something to celebrate.
- 30:30Speaker 1: And also, come on, what is spot to get engaged
- 30:34Speaker 1: in front of I don't know, a thousand of your
- 30:36Speaker 1: biggest fans. I know, I wonder why her boyfriend Taylor
- 30:41Speaker 1: decided to do that. I'm sure he was able to
- 30:44Speaker 1: figure out the kind of engagement that you would want.
- 30:47Speaker 1: I think it's kind of cool that he made it
- 30:48Speaker 1: like a full circle moment for The Bachelor, because Tia
- 30:51Speaker 1: is definitely one of the things we one of the
- 30:54Speaker 1: people that we think of when we think of like
- 30:56Speaker 1: the most recent seasons of The Bachelor, she's probably been
- 30:58Speaker 1: like one of the more interesting storyline to follow, and
- 31:01Speaker 1: she didn't. She was obsessed with Colton, you know, and
- 31:03Speaker 1: now we see her where that went. So they got engaged,
- 31:09Speaker 1: And a little bit more about their story. I put yeah,
- 31:12Speaker 1: by the way, like I opened up Instagram today and
- 31:14Speaker 1: it was the first thing I saw and I was like,
- 31:16Speaker 1: oh my god, this is so exciting. It kind of
- 31:19Speaker 1: felt fast, but also like I think when you're a
- 31:21Speaker 1: certain age, it's just like, oh, nine months of dating,
- 31:24Speaker 1: it's probably good. It's probably good enough. So a little
- 31:27Speaker 1: bit about their backstory. They met last January, like January
- 31:33Speaker 1: at a party in Nashville. He had just moved from California,
- 31:37Speaker 1: and they were like hanging out in the same group
- 31:39Speaker 1: of friends. He apparently one day got the balls. T
- 31:43Speaker 1: says to hit on her and get him to hang
- 31:47Speaker 1: get her to hang out with him. But she goes, Sweetie,
- 31:50Speaker 1: I'm going on Bachelor in Paradise. I'll see you later.
- 31:54Speaker 1: And then when she came back to Nashville and she
- 31:56Speaker 1: was still single. She was like, Holy, well, this guy
- 32:00Speaker 1: has been here all this whole time, and you know,
- 32:04Speaker 1: she gave it a shot, and she said that that's
- 32:06Speaker 1: been been so great ever since. She also says that
- 32:11Speaker 1: this guy truly doesn't get enough credit for what I've
- 32:14Speaker 1: put him through. Um. She came into my life during
- 32:18Speaker 1: the most difficult season I've ever faced, and he hasn't wavered.
- 32:20Speaker 1: I've tried to push him away more times than I
- 32:23Speaker 1: can count, but he stuck with me through it all. Um.
- 32:27Speaker 1: She also says, maybe we're when we're on the other
- 32:30Speaker 1: side of it, I'll write a book to explain. But
- 32:32Speaker 1: for now, here's some genuine soft smiles. So now that
- 32:37Speaker 1: they're on the other side of things, it'll be interesting
- 32:39Speaker 1: to see if she does write a book. And the
- 32:41Speaker 1: time that she's talking about being difficult is because she
- 32:44Speaker 1: lost her dad about a month ago, so sad. I
- 32:48Speaker 1: feel so bad for um, But it seems like this
- 32:51Speaker 1: guy Taylor has really been a rock through it all.
- 32:54Speaker 1: I'm so excited for her. The engagement happened at the
- 32:58Speaker 1: Fox Theater in Atlanta, UM on yeah, yesterday on the tenth,
- 33:05Speaker 1: So exciting and really happy for her. Uh, And I'm
- 33:09Speaker 1: sure having like I think her best friend Becca as
- 33:12Speaker 1: the host of that show probably helped Taylor make this
- 33:14Speaker 1: decision too, because they're so close, and knowing that Becca
- 33:18Speaker 1: could help cultivate an incredible moment for Tia, I'm sure
- 33:22Speaker 1: played into it. So congratulations at Tia and Taylor on
- 33:25Speaker 1: their recent engagement. Very recent engagement. Actually not much of
- 33:29Speaker 1: a headline here, but just some update that we should
- 33:32Speaker 1: um communicate to all the listeners. Bachelor creator uh says
- 33:38Speaker 1: that there's no drama between Gabby and Rachel in the
- 33:41Speaker 1: new season. That's a big update. Actually, if you read
- 33:44Speaker 1: into that is so far. I don't hear so far
- 33:47Speaker 1: in that, but I it kind of to me actuley
- 33:51Speaker 1: tell me if you think I'm wrong. It's hinting that
- 33:54Speaker 1: the show doesn't want drama, They're not going to try
- 33:57Speaker 1: to cultivate any drama between the two, and that the
- 33:59Speaker 1: drayma won't come from the two leads, it will come
- 34:01Speaker 1: more from the cast. I'm hoping that's the case. Actually,
- 34:05Speaker 1: I like that idea better than the opposite. This definitely
- 34:08Speaker 1: seems like something that Mike Plaice is trying to perpetuate
- 34:12Speaker 1: you know, really emphasized to fans that there's that there's
- 34:15Speaker 1: no drama between the two, probably because of the past.
- 34:21Speaker 1: You know what Caitlin was saying in a headline last week.
- 34:23Speaker 1: It just always seems like there's like two bachelorettes. You know,
- 34:26Speaker 1: there was Katie and then Michelle, and it seemed like
- 34:29Speaker 1: they really wanted Michelle to be the lead, but they
- 34:30Speaker 1: had to stall and wait for her until school is over,
- 34:34Speaker 1: and then you know, both Caitlin and and Britt you
- 34:38Speaker 1: know that they the audience really thinks they messed up
- 34:41Speaker 1: there pitting two women against each other, having guys vote
- 34:44Speaker 1: on which one they liked more like, that's just like
- 34:48Speaker 1: I can't even imagine if they announced something like that today.
- 34:51Speaker 1: How much has changed in the past seven years. It's crazy.
- 34:54Speaker 1: Um So, yeah, I'm actually thinking that because he said this,
- 34:58Speaker 1: I feel like multiple times, and the production crew just
- 35:03Speaker 1: has to know how um poorly it'll go over if
- 35:08Speaker 1: they pick them against each other. I think there might
- 35:12Speaker 1: not be any I'm hoping maybe to a small certain degree,
- 35:16Speaker 1: but like I don't think it's going to be like
- 35:18Speaker 1: an ongoing storyline. Yeah, and maybe the show will try
- 35:20Speaker 1: to do everything they can to keep it calm and collected,
- 35:23Speaker 1: and maybe the setup of the show this year is
- 35:25Speaker 1: not even allowing those two to really compete, which it
- 35:28Speaker 1: would be odd to me if they had those two
- 35:30Speaker 1: Bachelor that's competing over anything at all. It just doesn't
- 35:34Speaker 1: seem right, It doesn't seem fair, and it seems super
- 35:36Speaker 1: awkward to watch. If your two leads are like battling
- 35:39Speaker 1: it out for some reason, that's just weird. I'm hoping
- 35:43Speaker 1: it doesn't end in this. Actually, this is my hope. Okay,
- 35:46Speaker 1: call me whatever you want to call me. From this naive,
- 35:51Speaker 1: I'm hoping there's not a scenario at the end, like
- 35:53Speaker 1: they both like the same person and that person has
- 35:56Speaker 1: to choose. Um. Like, I'm hoping it's not how this
- 36:00Speaker 1: is going down, and that the last episode will be
- 36:02Speaker 1: this play up of you know, we'll see the teaser
- 36:05Speaker 1: of the two leads crying, and I just think that
- 36:09Speaker 1: would be so hard to watch and not fun for
- 36:11Speaker 1: me to watch. I don't want to see that. I
- 36:13Speaker 1: don't want to even experience that moment where somebody's putting
- 36:17Speaker 1: the scenario and those two women are putting this scenario
- 36:20Speaker 1: to have to choose it seems odd. Yeah, It would
- 36:25Speaker 1: be a real full circle moment though, for a guy
- 36:28Speaker 1: to say, again, I'm in love with both of you, right,
- 36:32Speaker 1: But hopefully that's not their goal. I just can't think
- 36:35Speaker 1: of a set up in which if they they the
- 36:41Speaker 1: guys don't have to choose. I feel like at some
- 36:43Speaker 1: point the guys are gonna have to choose or and
- 36:48Speaker 1: even if they do and it's just like, okay, it's
- 36:50Speaker 1: the Gabby camp and Rachel camp, it's still gonna be
- 36:54Speaker 1: like awkward. If one girl has more guys on her
- 36:58Speaker 1: team than the other girl, it's gonna be super awkward. Yeah,
- 37:01Speaker 1: and still unnecessary will be the thing I would say
- 37:05Speaker 1: is like, it's just unnecessary there. It's still kind of
- 37:07Speaker 1: like voting. Yeah, it is. Get to see how both,
- 37:10Speaker 1: you know, seasons are going to play out, because it'll
- 37:13Speaker 1: be like two seasons in one and I know myself
- 37:15Speaker 1: like if I was one of them, it would be
- 37:17Speaker 1: a competition and my insecurity of feeling like, hey, once
- 37:20Speaker 1: people really get to know me, they aren't gonna like me,
- 37:22Speaker 1: and once people all that stuff like that would be
- 37:24Speaker 1: playing out. As I'm on a show that is already
- 37:26Speaker 1: hard enough to try to navigate, I'd be looking around
- 37:28Speaker 1: be like, oh, she has twelve, I have ten, and
- 37:30Speaker 1: her twelve seem to be having a lot better time
- 37:32Speaker 1: than my tin, and I just that's just a mind
- 37:35Speaker 1: game that brings out insecurities that just isn't necessary. And
- 37:39Speaker 1: I just I don't know, I don't. I don't like
- 37:40Speaker 1: that for them. Who knows. This is all speculation. It
- 37:43Speaker 1: could they could figure out the perfect balance here and
- 37:45Speaker 1: we could all be wrong. I don't know. Kind of
- 37:47Speaker 1: crazy that we have to wait till July to figure
- 37:49Speaker 1: out how they're going to handle this. Yeah, I'll be honest,
- 37:52Speaker 1: I'm not thinking about it too much. I mean, I've
- 37:55Speaker 1: joined this offseason. We watched a lot of Bachelor for
- 37:57Speaker 1: the last year of my life. Couple of love updates
- 38:02Speaker 1: before we get to the big headline of the week.
- 38:05Speaker 1: Let's actually pause here, actually before we even get to
- 38:07Speaker 1: the love updates. Take a break. When we come back,
- 38:09Speaker 1: we have two more updates, and then we're gonna talk
- 38:11Speaker 1: about Clayton uh and the mess that was TikTok and
- 38:15Speaker 1: Clayton and um, I don't know, some human on TikTok
- 38:19Speaker 1: this last week and rumors that she sparked put the
- 38:22Speaker 1: internet and uproar. We'll come back talking about it in
- 38:25Speaker 1: just a second. Alright, Ashley first love headline, interesting headline
- 38:40Speaker 1: one that I'm I don't know call evil or what.
- 38:43Speaker 1: I'm super just intrigued with the storyline. I don't know
- 38:46Speaker 1: how it worked out, and I don't know the details
- 38:48Speaker 1: of it, but I I'm enjoying it. H Hannah Brown
- 38:52Speaker 1: talks brother Patrick's upcoming wedding to Jed Wyatt's ex Hailey
- 38:56Speaker 1: stevens Uh. Family trauma is the word that's used this
- 39:02Speaker 1: according to US Weekly, all Right, do you remind anybody
- 39:07Speaker 1: who doesn't remember or tell anybody who doesn't know. Hannah
- 39:10Speaker 1: Brown's brother is now engaged to the girl that Jed
- 39:16Speaker 1: was dating back at home when he got engaged to
- 39:19Speaker 1: Hannah on the Bachelorette. Really crazy, weird, small world. A
- 39:25Speaker 1: couple of months ago, she said, I just want my
- 39:27Speaker 1: brother to be happy, and yeah they're getting married, I'll
- 39:30Speaker 1: be there. She sounds thrilled. She says, I just want
- 39:34Speaker 1: to support my brother continuing to grow and if they
- 39:37Speaker 1: make each other happy, I'm happy for them. Okay, So yeah,
- 39:41Speaker 1: that was back in November, and now more recently she's saying,
- 39:46Speaker 1: you can love your family and still know that there
- 39:48Speaker 1: are things that can be triggering. Because we love our family.
- 39:52Speaker 1: We're not going to say anything or like you said,
- 39:56Speaker 1: you can't choose family, but the way that we grow
- 40:00Speaker 1: up is so pivotal to these patterns that we find
- 40:02Speaker 1: ourselves in. So it can be helpful if you could
- 40:06Speaker 1: write in toowards like what your relationship with your mom,
- 40:10Speaker 1: um or dad or siblings are, and then you can
- 40:13Speaker 1: connect the dots with some patterns that you might have
- 40:16Speaker 1: in your life. Um. She says that the more I
- 40:20Speaker 1: go to therapy, the more I've realized when I go
- 40:23Speaker 1: back home, there's this anxiety that I don't understand why
- 40:27Speaker 1: it's creeping up. And it's not like I don't love
- 40:30Speaker 1: my family, but every family things can be triggering or upsetting.
- 40:34Speaker 1: To be able to actually set a boundary with your family,
- 40:37Speaker 1: to be able to better communicate instead of continuing to
- 40:39Speaker 1: build up these walls is really helpful. She says. Of
- 40:43Speaker 1: course I wanted to put that in this journal because
- 40:45Speaker 1: she's talking about how she's launching her a little like
- 40:49Speaker 1: a spinoff of her book, which is God Bless this Mess.
- 40:53Speaker 1: So it's now that God Bless this Mess journal where
- 40:56Speaker 1: you'd like kind of like work out your issues and
- 40:59Speaker 1: all your mess right in the journal. And so she's
- 41:02Speaker 1: talking about, you know, putting things down on paper and
- 41:05Speaker 1: how that can be therapeutic. So she says, I wanted
- 41:07Speaker 1: to put that on my journal because you can't choose
- 41:10Speaker 1: your family or what you're born into. You can choose
- 41:12Speaker 1: how to communicate and the boundaries that you set and
- 41:16Speaker 1: how you love one another and how you show up
- 41:18Speaker 1: for your family. So I think, like, basically, like I'm
- 41:22Speaker 1: not trying to put words into hand his mouth, but
- 41:24Speaker 1: like maybe it's not like the most ideal situation. I
- 41:27Speaker 1: wouldn't imagine her. I think it's very fair to say
- 41:34Speaker 1: I don't think it's ideal. It's gonna happen. It sounds
- 41:36Speaker 1: like and it's something that I'm sure she's going to celebrate,
- 41:38Speaker 1: But I don't think she's like, this is the coolest
- 41:40Speaker 1: thing ever. Yeah, super weird. Um Hey, you know what,
- 41:46Speaker 1: it's better than her having a sister and the sister
- 41:48Speaker 1: marrying Jed. That would be really weird. Yes you are actually,
- 41:54Speaker 1: um hey, big headline here, Knda Long comes out publicly
- 41:58Speaker 1: with her new boyfriend. This is something to celebrate. There's
- 42:00Speaker 1: not a headline where it we're just breaking the news
- 42:02Speaker 1: here on the Almost Famous podcast. She came out publicly
- 42:06Speaker 1: on social media, sharing a bunch of really cute pictures
- 42:10Speaker 1: of the two of them, um being weird together, which
- 42:13Speaker 1: is perfect, uh in something ideal, But yes, Kendall Long
- 42:16Speaker 1: has came out with a new boyfriend who she seems
- 42:18Speaker 1: to care about a lot. Yeah, I mean, we don't
- 42:21Speaker 1: know much about him, um, but we do know, like
- 42:24Speaker 1: we know his name because she's tagged him in things.
- 42:27Speaker 1: But it was really exciting because well, when we were
- 42:30Speaker 1: all rooting for Kendall over the summer, you know, maybe
- 42:33Speaker 1: not to end up with Joe, but we were we
- 42:36Speaker 1: were like hoping for her happiness, so we felt bad
- 42:39Speaker 1: she was having to watch her ex, the like the
- 42:42Speaker 1: guy that she it was like the big love of
- 42:45Speaker 1: her life fall in love with somebody else. Like that's
- 42:47Speaker 1: just like, like I had so much sympathy empathy for
- 42:51Speaker 1: and now she is in a happy relationship with a
- 42:54Speaker 1: guy named Mitch. And I love the way she captioned
- 42:57Speaker 1: this picture or this set of pictures with the two
- 43:00Speaker 1: of them, which are all looking like pretty quirky, like
- 43:03Speaker 1: very on par with what I'd expect Kendall to be
- 43:07Speaker 1: with the captain reads this by the way, I'm in
- 43:11Speaker 1: love and just like our relationship, these pictures get progressively weirder,
- 43:16Speaker 1: so so cute, so so happy for them. I can't
- 43:18Speaker 1: wait to continue to watch that love bloom on social No.
- 43:24Speaker 1: So great for her, She's somebody really love on the show.
- 43:27Speaker 1: And uh, really exciting that she found somebody to get
- 43:30Speaker 1: quirky with, because she is quirky, like she admits that
- 43:33Speaker 1: she is. She's but she's fun and she's exciting and
- 43:38Speaker 1: she's interesting, and so it's nice that she feels like
- 43:41Speaker 1: she's found somebody um to be that with, especially following
- 43:45Speaker 1: batch from Paradise this year. Uh hey, Ashley, before we
- 43:48Speaker 1: get to the big heabine, I do just want to
- 43:50Speaker 1: mention to you and ask your thoughts on Dancing with
- 43:52Speaker 1: the Stars getting dropped by ABC after thirty seasons. Is
- 43:57Speaker 1: that a big deal to you when a second year
- 43:59Speaker 1: drop you? This on me? I didn't know that you
- 44:03Speaker 1: didn't know, crap. I know that they announced their lineup
- 44:06Speaker 1: today because other headline, Bachelor in Paradise is renewed for
- 44:11Speaker 1: an eighth season. You don't know the timeline necessarily of
- 44:15Speaker 1: when it's going to be shot in and on TV.
- 44:19Speaker 1: But it is. It's happening like I predicted it would
- 44:23Speaker 1: be the past two weeks. But holy crap. Then wow, Yeah,
- 44:27Speaker 1: it's a big deal. It's going to Disney Plus. Uh
- 44:30Speaker 1: so now it's only going to be on a streaming service,
- 44:32Speaker 1: which is a down It's it's a big deal. A
- 44:37Speaker 1: little bit of a down grid, Oh, a little bit,
- 44:39Speaker 1: it's I think it's a big down grade. Um. And uh,
- 44:42Speaker 1: it's gonna be a whole new world for for Dance
- 44:45Speaker 1: at the Stars. It's also I don't know how much
- 44:47Speaker 1: of their demo has Disney Plus, right, I mean a
- 44:50Speaker 1: lot of their demo is similar to The Bachelor. Yeah,
- 44:53Speaker 1: it's an older demographic, so how many of those are
- 44:55Speaker 1: streaming Disney Plus. It's always that's a bit of question.
- 44:57Speaker 1: It's been talked about. It's kind of I mean, I
- 45:01Speaker 1: don't believe streaming is where shows are going to go
- 45:03Speaker 1: to die, right. I think most things, if I were
- 45:06Speaker 1: to predict, are going to move over to streaming um
- 45:10Speaker 1: in the next few years. However, this does seem like, uh,
- 45:14Speaker 1: it's preemptive to win. Streaming will actually be the main
- 45:18Speaker 1: outlet to which we watch television, and so it feels
- 45:20Speaker 1: like shows are going there as they kind of say
- 45:23Speaker 1: goodbye to the world, and it's kind of the last hurrah.
- 45:26Speaker 1: It's a big deal. So that's what I thought was
- 45:29Speaker 1: going to happen to Paradise, because you know, there was
- 45:31Speaker 1: a speculation that it may not be happening, and I
- 45:34Speaker 1: was like, I don't think they're just gonna drop it.
- 45:36Speaker 1: But I could have seen them going and putting it
- 45:38Speaker 1: on Hulu. Yeah, definitely, I could have seen that too.
- 45:40Speaker 1: But I'm glad Paradise is back. It's obviously a really
- 45:44Speaker 1: fun show. I did not Yeah, I did not ask
- 45:47Speaker 1: Wells at all. I was with him for the last
- 45:49Speaker 1: four days. I didn't ask him one thing about Paradise,
- 45:51Speaker 1: mostly because I'm sure everybody asked him about Paradise, and
- 45:54Speaker 1: I'm sure there's always questions and speculation around us to
- 45:58Speaker 1: see it. You know, we're here to play golf, we're
- 45:59Speaker 1: here to be ends, um. So I didn't ask him
- 46:01Speaker 1: at all, even though there was times I wanted to,
- 46:05Speaker 1: but it never got brought up, um, And I think
- 46:08Speaker 1: that's probably healthy and good. But I am excited that
- 46:11Speaker 1: it is coming back, and I hope we see Wells
- 46:13Speaker 1: on Paradise. It doesn't feel like Paradise without Wells now
- 46:16Speaker 1: behind the bar, which originally, um, you know, when he
- 46:21Speaker 1: wasn't the bartender, it was kind of this, like how
- 46:23Speaker 1: is well Is gonna fit in here? Now it's like, no,
- 46:25Speaker 1: Wills is Paradise. He's he is in a lot of ways.
- 46:29Speaker 1: I think he's going to be the host. We'll say,
- 46:31Speaker 1: that's just what my gut tells me. I wouldn't be
- 46:33Speaker 1: mad about it. I don't think Batchel Nation would be
- 46:36Speaker 1: bad about it, No, definitely not. I think it'd be
- 46:38Speaker 1: a great host. Well. Um, final headline, Actually, we're gonna
- 46:41Speaker 1: spend a little bit of time on this, not too
- 46:43Speaker 1: much because um, it's all filtered its way through now,
- 46:47Speaker 1: but it is a wild story. We're gonna see if
- 46:49Speaker 1: we can make sense of it all. Um. But the
- 46:52Speaker 1: headline reads this, It's one of the bigger headlines that
- 46:55Speaker 1: have came through Batchel Nation, um in the last few months.
- 47:00Speaker 1: And I'm actually kind of shocked it became a big headline,
- 47:02Speaker 1: quite honest. And I'll tell you why. I have to
- 47:04Speaker 1: we break it down. But the Bachelor's star Clayton Eckert
- 47:09Speaker 1: addresses cheating accusations from TikTok user. His comment is this
- 47:14Speaker 1: is ridiculous. According to insider, Ashley, walk us through this
- 47:18Speaker 1: and then I'll tell you why I'm confused on how
- 47:20Speaker 1: this even became a thing. Okay, first off, sounds in
- 47:24Speaker 1: the background are Dawson on the bottle, So try not
- 47:29Speaker 1: to be annoyed at the slurping. Isn't it funny the
- 47:31Speaker 1: way that like baby slurping, baby chewing, it's not annoying,
- 47:36Speaker 1: it's not gross, it's adorable. Same with dog chewing human chewing.
- 47:39Speaker 1: Discussing anyway, moving on to the headline. Yeah, so there's
- 47:44Speaker 1: this girl on TikTok. Her name is Sasha. She posted
- 47:48Speaker 1: a video on Saturday saying that she was at a
- 47:52Speaker 1: bar with Clayton and he basically hit on her and
- 47:56Speaker 1: wanted to take her home, and that he pretty much
- 48:00Speaker 1: much cheated on Susie. To be super clear, she says
- 48:05Speaker 1: these are the quotes. She goes, so we're kind of flirting,
- 48:09Speaker 1: and then he proceeds to ask me do you watch
- 48:11Speaker 1: The Bachelor? And then I go no because I've never
- 48:14Speaker 1: seen it before. And then she said that they were
- 48:17Speaker 1: chatting and they hung out later together. He was very
- 48:21Speaker 1: like sneaky, meaning he was very adamant about being quiet.
- 48:25Speaker 1: I don't know what that means, like keeping this affair
- 48:28Speaker 1: quiet or like being physically quiet. I don't know. And
- 48:32Speaker 1: then she says, right when it was time for me
- 48:35Speaker 1: to go, he made it very clear that I couldn't
- 48:38Speaker 1: stay over. So it sounds like she was like, you
- 48:42Speaker 1: need to be quiet about this rondezvous. Uh, you can't
- 48:46Speaker 1: stay over. And yeah, so this came out. The girl
- 48:52Speaker 1: thinks that she was hooking up with Clinton, but I've
- 48:55Speaker 1: got to say, I don't think she did, because both
- 48:58Speaker 1: Clinton and Susie came out defending you know, their party. Now.
- 49:04Speaker 1: I went to go watch the original TikTok from this
- 49:07Speaker 1: girl Sasha, and it no longer exists anymore, so Susan.
- 49:11Speaker 1: But I did get to watch Susie's um where she
- 49:14Speaker 1: defends him. So she shows texts and calls, like a
- 49:18Speaker 1: FaceTime call from Clayton at the time in which she
- 49:22Speaker 1: was supposedly cheating on her on Saturday or on like
- 49:26Speaker 1: Friday night or whatnot. She was like, no, this is
- 49:29Speaker 1: Clayton facetiving meat from Arizona, not New York City, where
- 49:33Speaker 1: this girl is claiming to have hooked up with him,
- 49:36Speaker 1: and then to further approve she had him like on
- 49:40Speaker 1: find my Friends or whatever, find my iPhone, and it
- 49:44Speaker 1: proved to Susie that he was in Arizona at the
- 49:49Speaker 1: time of this alleged cheating, not New York. And I
- 49:54Speaker 1: don't think you can argue with that, right, It's not
- 49:57Speaker 1: like he has a burner phone that he's keeping in
- 49:59Speaker 1: Arizona so that Susie can see that he's in a
- 50:03Speaker 1: different state than where he's hooking up with some other
- 50:05Speaker 1: random person. And the fact that the video was taken
- 50:08Speaker 1: down kind of makes me feel like it was also illegitimate.
- 50:14Speaker 1: It's not like TikTok is, you know, doing some fact
- 50:17Speaker 1: checking or whatnot. But I feel like a little defamation there.
- 50:22Speaker 1: I don't know. Yeah, I mean, here's my comment and
- 50:28Speaker 1: you can maybe tell me and wait before you go
- 50:31Speaker 1: into that, can I just say, I don't think that,
- 50:33Speaker 1: like he would be so dumb as you do this
- 50:35Speaker 1: so soon? Yeah, And I think he's into Susie, like
- 50:38Speaker 1: why in the world, like would he do this? But
- 50:41Speaker 1: I don't know Clayton that well. We've had him on
- 50:43Speaker 1: the podcast obviously when he was in the midst of
- 50:45Speaker 1: kind of like his tornado of chaos during the season,
- 50:48Speaker 1: but he's he's came out of that now he seems
- 50:50Speaker 1: very happy. Um, I don't know how this became a story.
- 50:55Speaker 1: And that's where I'm confused here, because accusations like this
- 50:58Speaker 1: happened all the time and are they're mostly false. Uh.
- 51:03Speaker 1: They just you know, people like to make a headline
- 51:06Speaker 1: and they'll come on TikTok and they make a video
- 51:08Speaker 1: about so and so flirted with me at the bar
- 51:10Speaker 1: from this show or this actor or this actress or
- 51:13Speaker 1: and a lot of times it happens from the bachelor franchise,
- 51:16Speaker 1: because bachelor franchises will be you known for love, and
- 51:20Speaker 1: people think you're just in it for fame and not
- 51:22Speaker 1: for the relationship, and so people come off and people
- 51:24Speaker 1: like they're not really together. In fact, we were flirting
- 51:27Speaker 1: at the bar last night. Okay, that happened, people have.
- 51:30Speaker 1: It happens all the time. Uh, And and a lot
- 51:33Speaker 1: of times you never even know about it unless you're
- 51:34Speaker 1: the person getting blamed and accused of And then you
- 51:37Speaker 1: see it because it pops up on your messages and
- 51:39Speaker 1: be or send somebody sends you the little video and
- 51:42Speaker 1: you're like, no, that's not true. I'm just going to
- 51:44Speaker 1: ignore it. Why did Clayton feel like he had to
- 51:47Speaker 1: respond to this? Was it getting enough momentum even before
- 51:51Speaker 1: his response that he was like, oh my gosh, people
- 51:53Speaker 1: are believing this. It must have been. It must have
- 51:56Speaker 1: been going viral on TikTok. I think because it's charable, okay,
- 52:03Speaker 1: that it was probably just being seen too too much. Yeah,
- 52:07Speaker 1: it could be. I didn't know. I mean, I haven't
- 52:09Speaker 1: seen the video itself, and I saw the apology video
- 52:13Speaker 1: that the girl posted is like, yeah, we was confirmed. Yeah,
- 52:15Speaker 1: She's like, we confirmed it's not Clayton. The footage that Clayton,
- 52:20Speaker 1: Susie and myself have shows a different person. Uh, you know,
- 52:26Speaker 1: maybe it was this guy pretending to be Clayton must
- 52:29Speaker 1: have been or somebody in the franchise. It's like a
- 52:32Speaker 1: look alike who's trying to be Clayton. Yeah, I know.
- 52:35Speaker 1: She never says in this TikTok, the original one, she
- 52:39Speaker 1: never she never says, I met a guy named Clayton
- 52:44Speaker 1: who was on the Bachelor, who was the Bachelor. It's
- 52:46Speaker 1: just this guy, says, do you watch the Bachelor? Yeah? Yeah,
- 52:50Speaker 1: I mean it could have just been another Bachelor dude,
- 52:52Speaker 1: and like totally been another Bachelor guy. I mean even
