- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: We have to put this room to rest.
- 0:02[SPEAKER_00]: Did either of you ever actually crash your car into a bridge because that has been I know the conversation of almost two decades.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_02]: We did not know we didn't know.

- 0:39[SPEAKER_00]: You read the judge.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_00]: Today I have an iconic duo I've known them for quite some time.

- 1:02[SPEAKER_02]: a lot.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_02]: Life is good.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_02]: Life is good.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_02]: We're having a fun time here in LA and releasing music.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_03]: Like it just feels exciting.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, new album coming up, so much more we'll talk about.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_00]: And we before we start any podcast should obviously make a podcast pair because we don't want to set the podcast gods and also the dance gods.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_00]: So if you can please hold your
- 1:30[SPEAKER_02]: I would do it like a circle.

- 2:02[SPEAKER_00]: I love it.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_00]: I almost had it.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_02]: I felt it.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_02]: I felt it.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_02]: I felt it.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_02]: The tone was good.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if the information was good about it.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_00]: I think delivery was on par.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_02]: That's the most important.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I also forgot.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_00]: We have someone else here in state of this whole time.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_00]: How could we forget about that?
- 2:19[SPEAKER_00]: From the streets of reporting, not the streets of the streets you think, but the streets that I come from.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_00]: My friend Carolyn is here, our special supporting guest Carolyn.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_00]: What's it like for you being here with the girls today?
- 2:31[SPEAKER_00]: It's in me.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_01]: It's such an honor.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_01]: I actually saw you guys when you opened up for one direction.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, wow.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_01]: So this goes very close.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I love those guys.
- 2:41[UNKNOWN]: So nice.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_00]: Well, Carolyn has covered many of music festivals, us being in the same festival areas together.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: We've just, you know, I said, Carolyn, I have the girls on.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, I'll be there.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_00]: I said, great.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_00]: So.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_01]: So excited to have you here.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I'm so excited.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we just felt so not.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, right.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_01]: The vibe is here.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_00]: So before we begin, the rules of the podcast are simple because the rules of the road are very important.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if Carolyn wants to ever speak in this podcast, she has to hit her butt and Carolyn, can you please hit your button?
- 3:11[SPEAKER_01]: Oh gosh.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_00]: See it.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_01]: It's I loud and clear loud and clear.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_01]: I only who hates making the first move This is my worst nightmare.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_00]: So this should be fun and if you don't want to answer or if you don't want to hear Carolyn you hit this button
- 3:29[SPEAKER_01]: Ah, that's great.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_01]: Rejection there, Jack.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_01]: Rejection there, Peter.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_01]: We will be fine.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_01]: So I guess show we get started.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_01]: Let's do it.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_00]: Amazing.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_00]: Now, we obviously have to start from the beginning of time.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_00]: Of the girls meeting, of the girls releasing their singles.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_00]: I love it became a global phenomenon.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_00]: We know she's a local.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_00]: She's been around.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_03]: She's been around.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_00]: She's been around.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_00]: What do you remember about that period of your life?
- 3:55[SPEAKER_03]: the thing is that no, you don't remember that much.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_03]: It's all of learn.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_03]: Oh dear.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_02]: We had a lot of fun.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we worked that song for so many years before it actually became big.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_02]: We were like, we got big first since we then and then we started to travel around in the U.S. a lot.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_03]: It was a blur.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_03]: But it was like, I mean, still also because we're two.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_03]: And what we talk about like certain memories, you remember some stuff.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_03]: I remember.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_03]: And then we can look at the pieces together.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_02]: And we're like, oh, okay, you know.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_02]: But I always remember like being in like in love with a person that I never could get.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_02]: So like,
- 4:35[SPEAKER_02]: It was a heartbreak story, like in front of the knee, constantly.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_02]: So, I was part of life, it was, that's why it was so fun.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_03]: You were never home, you were always part of the role, yeah, and we danced a lot.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: Now, correct me from wrong with this.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_00]: Charlie wrote the song in 20 minutes.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_00]: Is that correct?
- 4:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_00]: And she said at the time was one of the worst songs, but then you all ended up working on it together.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_00]: Guide me through that, looking back at it now nearly a decade later.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_03]: Wow.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it was because we were working with Patrick Burger, a producer.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, a lot.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_03]: And so when she did
- 5:23[SPEAKER_03]: for a session with him, so that's how we heard the song.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_03]: And he was like, on another track, or another track, or of a happier, yeah, so we are now when you hear the old one.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_02]: They're like, what, this is, I love it, but it's not, I love it.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and then we, we were like, we love this, and we recorded it, and then we also
- 5:50[SPEAKER_03]: Grunt, gritty, uh, and then so then style of eye and Patrick Burger, uh, style of eye is a techno, a producer who is sleeping burling, but now we'll go back and sweeten.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_00]: Context helps, yeah, yeah.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, just telling you.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_02]: Um, so yeah, that's how the bur bur bur bur bur bur happened.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_02]: And um,
- 6:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but it was weird working that song because it was so different from all the other songs on the radio It was too short You didn't know what John Ray was.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_02]: It was like punk, but dance, but pop, but not like where's the verse where is the chorus or is it like can you please this is confusing?
- 6:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I loved it Did the success of the song change the expectations because we'll get into how you two met, but did it change where you two thought you were gonna go like in your career
- 6:42[SPEAKER_03]: A stomper.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I feel like We would just like let's go.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_03]: Mm-hmm.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_03]: We were not thinking about
- 6:53[SPEAKER_03]: We were just, we were going forward upward, like, let's go.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think we would flex that down much.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_03]: It was like, this is gonna check, like, we were just in it.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_03]: Like, we could, we could afford to have in ears.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_03]: Like, we were like, wow.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_02]: Wow.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_02]: And sometimes even travel.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_03]: in business, that came later, much later, please, so yeah, but I mean still today we love performing that song.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_03]: It's like the energy that you can't get tired of, like the connection with the audience is like they are singing it to us and we are singing it to them and then it's just this energy.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_00]: It is surpassed a billion of streams.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_00]: It is way on its way to just keep going.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_00]: And what's it like to have this song just still surging?
- 7:52[SPEAKER_00]: You're like always hard to talk about it.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_00]: You're like, it's been a decade.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's such a big part of our journey.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_03]: Sure.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_03]: Like, so...
- 8:01[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, for sure.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_00]: In your impact.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_02]: It's not even our song anymore.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_02]: It's everyone's song.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_00]: When that song came out, you all put out even more singles.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_00]: You went on to open for artists like One Direction, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, and so many more out the gate from that song in so much more.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_00]: What was it like for your first major tour?
- 8:23[SPEAKER_03]: We had so much fun, so much fun.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, shout out to Melissa Iris, that wasn't best for her ever had for her.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_03]: Like, she was just so fun, so professional, and so nice to everyone in the team, like hardworking, but also like a lot of fun, you know?
- 8:42[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, work with it.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_03]: And that tour was epic.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we had way too much fun.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_00]: Sounds like everything is fun for you guys.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I know, it's, we got the hot, yeah, yeah, it's hot, yeah, it's hot, yeah, it's hot, yeah, it's hot, yeah, it's hot, yeah, it's hot, yeah, it's hot, yeah, it's hot, yeah, it's hot, yeah, it's hot, yeah, it's hot, yeah, it's hot, yeah, it's hot, yeah, it's hot, yeah, it's hot, yeah, it's hot, yeah, it's hot, yeah, it's hot, yeah, it's hot, yeah, it's hot, yeah, it's hot, yeah, it's hot, yeah, it's hot, yeah, it's hot, yeah, it's hot, yeah, it's hot, yeah, it's hot, yeah, it's hot, yeah, it's hot, yeah, it's hot, yeah, it's hot, yeah, it's hot, yeah, it's hot
- 9:17[SPEAKER_00]: And who makes the final decisions when it comes to like picking who you're opening act is going to be?
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: Do like a lot of people get pitched when the time comes like who they want for their opening act?
- 9:27[SPEAKER_00]: Or do you meet with the artist before?
- 9:29[SPEAKER_00]: Because you had a lot of tours you were a part of.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_00]: Like what were those discussions like?
- 9:32[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's different every time.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_03]: Like sometimes it's... You meet someone you have a good vibe and in other times,
- 9:48[SPEAKER_03]: Like I don't even know how all of those different tours happen to be honest.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_00]: It's all blur.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_03]: It's all blurring.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_03]: It's all blurring.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_02]: It's a blurry era.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_00]: It's a blurry era and a fun time.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_00]: Do you have a very tour memory that you can remember at all?
- 10:01[SPEAKER_02]: I remember as going to, we were on the Mali tour, we went to Miami.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm, okay, I'm starting Miami.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we just had a messy, a farm time.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it was just like, you know, being on a tour of us, and then we were supposed to stay in Miami for a couple of days, and we got to swim in the beautiful sea.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, in the beautiful ocean, and we drank a lot of beer.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_02]: We had a lot of fun, and we slept for a long time.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it was just like, I don't know, I just felt so free.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_00]: I'd like it Miami.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, Carolyn's coming in.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_01]: Please.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_01]: I felt pressured with that.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like I should take.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_01]: Were there any like bucketless venues you guys got to play out when you guys were doing opening acts?
- 10:49[SPEAKER_01]: I think that was like a dream for us.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean it's a great one.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_02]: Because arena, I mean they're just crazy one direction.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_02]: They're like 50,000 people and 50,000 even more.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_02]: And you don't really dream about, I mean, of course it's a new vibe.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: In a way, a girl can train you.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, well, it's a great one.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, manifested.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_02]: But also they had one in San Francisco, but that was our own show.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_02]: That was the one when you get there.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't even remember the name of that one, but it was like, I mean, yeah, I got it, yeah, I picked that up, yeah, you're like, I got it, I got it, I got it, I got it, I got it, I got what you're putting down, like the tours the life, yeah, we love touring, I can do like DJing and like stay like what type of performance is your favorite?
- 11:42[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, live is where our heart is, but, you know, DJ and I, that's something we also love.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_02]: I think with DJ and it's just the late night.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_02]: I wish we could only do pool parties.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_00]: I love a DJ, but I picked up my own board and I was like, you know what?
- 11:56[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, let's go.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_00]: It's just, it's just like you've said in your living room, like I could do this right now.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_02]: But it is like the thing with like, travel, it's a plain late and then you need to take a super early flight.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_03]: I mean last year, like a couple of weeks ago, we played a pausha, I beat that, and we started up five in the morning.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_03]: No, five a.m. to seven, we weren't.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_03]: Yep, yep.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_00]: And how do you prep for that?
- 12:23[SPEAKER_00]: You don't.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_02]: You're like, okay, I mean, listen to how strategy it's gonna be a shit show and you got the good coffee.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, no, actually we went to nice restaurant.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_03]: We We were swimming like and then went to sleep we went to sleep for a couple of hours and then we went up got ready
- 12:43[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I'm built up for it.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that could be also like you could literally take a run in the morning and then go to the club.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_02]: So you could live a really healthy life if you, if you want to.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I'll speak in a view to being very busy.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_00]: You've gone back and forth between Stockholm and LA quite often over the years.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_00]: What is it like for two of you getting pregnant also?
- 13:06[SPEAKER_00]: And now still continuing on with your music.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_02]: Busy busy life back and forth being moms and imagine we get to have it all.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_02]: I can't imagine we can't have it all It's like We talk about it a lot how like we are and it's like going through a pregnancy which is best friend It's also such a beautiful moment.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, they're they're two weeks apart without planning without planning Yeah, just in I didn't call Carolina like one two three go it's happening
- 13:36[SPEAKER_00]: Can you imagine?
- 13:37[SPEAKER_02]: But it's super cool, like, yeah.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_02]: Caroline?
- 13:40[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, I thought about this crazy idea.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_00]: So.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_02]: Could you imagine?
- 13:44[SPEAKER_00]: The photos are cute, though, with you too, like.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_02]: And they're besties.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_02]: So great.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_02]: They love each other.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_03]: They give family.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_03]: So, so nice.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_00]: Good.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_00]: What's changed being a mom or both mothers and performing in so many cities now with a child away from you?
- 14:05[SPEAKER_02]: Of course, it's harder to be away from your family, but I think I enjoy it, I don't know.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_02]: Are you driving away from children?
- 14:19[SPEAKER_02]: But I feel like I'm having so much fun when I go eat dinner, but at home I'm more like, of course, I go and eat dinner, but here it's more like, okay, let's not eat.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_02]: I don't mean dinner, I'm just like,
- 14:32[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know, I just love it.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe you appreciate both worlds and once you get into the studio, you're so happy to be in the studio.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_02]: And when you travel, you're like, okay, I'm going to join myself.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_02]: And then also, like, you have routines, so we actually get more things done.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_02]: We're so attractive.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_03]: And then it's all not time for bullshit.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, all right, um, and so let's get to it.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_03]: No, but I feel like after becoming a mom, I was so much more like This is important.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_03]: We should spend our time on this because you also have something that's the most important thing in your life back home And so you don't have time to just like
- 15:20[SPEAKER_03]: waste your time.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_03]: You're just when we're in the studio, we want to write good music and want to have fun.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_03]: Like when we travel, we want to be like do all the things.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_03]: It's really to be able to when you come home, just spend time with your kid.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_00]: What's the nightlife like back at home right here?
- 15:38[SPEAKER_00]: Is it better?
- 15:39[SPEAKER_02]: No, it's so bad in Sweden.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_02]: It's Stockholm, right?
- 15:42[SPEAKER_02]: We used to have clubs in Sweden and now we feel like we need to have.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because I would say no.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_02]: One thing we do have during summer.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_02]: It's like raves in the woods.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_02]: I've heard about this.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_00]: I saw some interview said what described this raven the woods that like happened?
- 15:56[SPEAKER_02]: It's like a DJ and then you get the location sent to you and then you just take an Uber or whatever You maybe take the bike maybe what I mean to maybe yeah, and then you go into the woods and you like feel It's just this amazing vibe to just
- 16:16[SPEAKER_02]: be in the woods.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_02]: It's like a religion.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_02]: It's like standing there and like, ha, it's really a treat with your friends.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_03]: And it's like, you know, it's just so beautiful.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_00]: And is it the same woods every time?
- 16:26[SPEAKER_00]: It's like a different, like, very ugly secret.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, sometimes it can be like in other places.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_02]: Can't really tell you where about that.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's not always in the woods, but I think in the woods it's more beautiful and also because during the summer the sun almost never goes down as we then it's like it's very beautiful to be there like 3 a.m. and the sun is like already never went really down but it's already coming up so yeah definitely something you should experience in your life
- 16:58[SPEAKER_00]: It's a journey, and I would like to see these woods.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't get to the list.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I didn't get to the list.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_03]: When you get to Sweden, you call us.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, whoa.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_00]: What is the dynamic of writing music?
- 17:09[SPEAKER_00]: Between the two of you, you have the new album coming up.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to talk some more about it in a little bit.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_00]: But how does that work creatively?
- 17:15[SPEAKER_00]: Do you two each take different roles?
- 17:17[SPEAKER_00]: Do you know your strengths?
- 17:19[SPEAKER_00]: Is it sometimes like a clash?
- 17:21[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it feels like it's so...
- 17:24[SPEAKER_03]: like a living thing that it really changed depending on where we are and like, yeah, you know?
- 17:30[SPEAKER_03]: And it's always like, oh, you sing that part because you sing it better or like you, it's very playful.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, very playful.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_02]: Sometimes Caroline writes the whole song and I come in and I might be changed a little bit to get the I know vibe in the song and sometimes the opposite, but we have, I think it's important to always have the playfulness when you write.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_02]: Um, you, like, you, that's a good one.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you never had that question before.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_02]: How would you describe your musical vibe?
- 18:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I know Caroline's melodies and I know my melodies.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_02]: We have like a different, such a different melody, like, I can hear like, oh, that's, that's okay.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_02]: Like Caroline's melody.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_03]: Hmm, I never reflected over this you know we come back to it.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's like, I mean, I feel like I I mean, when we write usually Carol has like, wow, and then you'd like to disappear Why should do in this alone
- 18:35[SPEAKER_00]: Well, she's coming back too.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and then suddenly she comes back and she, like, rolled half of the song.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_02]: She's like, oh, I got this idea.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_02]: Well, so now, um, uh, and it can be, like, I don't have that talent.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_02]: No, it's, it's really magical talent.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_03]: I usually say, like, I'm sorry if I look like angry off.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_03]: But it's just because I'm so, I go into my head and I'm just like,
- 18:58[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I know what to do now like I do that when I'm driving.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_03]: It's bad like I'll just be like, oh, yeah Then then we made it to our location somehow anyway How fun, but I think also like I mean we love I think it's amazing when we find like a good crew that we like to work with and it just feels so
- 19:22[SPEAKER_03]: play full, so you can be, you can dare to try things and be vulnerable and and just, it's all about the energy to like feel the energy to like, okay that person over there, what is that energy and then listen to each other.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_03]: Like, and I feel like we are very good to listen, a listening to each other.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_03]: Um, but it's always someone that starts like the little spark with like, hey, I listen to we should I really love this song or I've been Biting this lyric like today.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_03]: This is very important for me.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_03]: Like it's always one of us.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_00]: Good to know, I get it.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, haven't had that in the while.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_01]: Hi again.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_01]: So you guys took a little bit of a break from producing albums.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_01]: And in that time, the music industry is just so drastically changed.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_01]: And a big part of that is the social media impact of it.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_01]: We've seen this, especially with tick-tock train trends.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_01]: We're even artists will admit that they write a hook or something specifically for that moment.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_01]: Do you think that's like help or hurt the music industry in the way that fans now receive the music?
- 20:30[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, Carolyn, went there.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_02]: Journalist.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_02]: Went to Spanish.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_02]: I'm both.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_02]: There is some kind of freedom in the thing that you, you can't really something on TikTok.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_02]: And you can blow up.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_02]: And you don't have to have a big label behind you and stuff like that.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_02]: But at the same time, I missed those times when you were just a musician.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_02]: It's so much like, oh, you need to do this TikTok.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_02]: And you need to do that.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_02]: I question myself why, but I understand if people want to get to know me or us, but it's more like I both love it and hate it at the same time.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I feel like it has to be organic for the artists to do it because people can see the authenticity And we're as like if you know it's like the labels forcing yeah, then you like
- 21:16[SPEAKER_01]: Like, almost feel bad, and you're like, no, it's okay, you really don't, yeah, I totally get it.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, yes.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_01]: But I feel like Megan Trainer was an example of some really like leaned into it, worked with creators and all that and understood the platform from that.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_01]: Uh-huh.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_01]: But it doesn't always have to be that way, so it's just curious.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_03]: No, I think it's just important.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_03]: You have to decide how you want to be a part of it.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_03]: And you're like, you're a way of doing it.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_03]: I've got like, because you can look at it as an opportunity for your new
- 21:45[SPEAKER_03]: to reach out to people and like oh okay how instead of like oh we don't want to do it like how would we do that how would we like tell the story of this song or like how then it's more
- 21:57[SPEAKER_03]: It's easier and it's more fun, then of like, oh my god, I don't understand this.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_03]: How am I going to like, you know, it becomes like so big.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but what I feel like though is sometimes it's just before it was a little bit like you were writing music you did that and then you were doing the profile that now it's like you can never do enough of like you should always do some little things with like
- 22:28[SPEAKER_03]: You know, social media.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_03]: And I feel like, I mean, touring before was so different.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I mean, yeah, we didn't have a cell phone.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_02]: We did, but we, we had didn't have like Wi-Fi as that sounds so.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_02]: So we had to follow.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_00]: I remember when like, we had to go to McDonald's.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we free Wi-Fi.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_00]: I was like the biggest thing.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, oh my god, people were like, I took us like an internet cafe.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_03]: We're like hanging outside.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, a place.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, feel their wife.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_00]: And our cell phone photos were shitty at the concert.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, bring that back.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_02]: But I think that's also happening why we go to Ibiza, they've taken away like some clubs, you're not allowed to have folks.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_02]: I want to see it.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I want to see it.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_02]: I want to see it.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_02]: I want to see it.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the cell phone pouch trend, like Bruno Mars did that at his Vegas residency.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_01]: And that was really nice because I think like a lot of times we're just glued to it and we feel like we have to like capture this because like it's so cool.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_01]: And I do like looking back on my video sometimes, with then I'm also like,
- 23:22[SPEAKER_01]: No, I want to be present and when I'm glued to my phone, I'm definitely not connected with it.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, that's the key to it.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_03]: Like if you can find that balance of like making it fun and like seeing it as a way of communicating and like getting music out there and stuff great, but also find the little gaps where you're not.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_03]: So you're not always just...
- 23:44[SPEAKER_03]: on there because you can get, I feel like I can get so stressed.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_02]: But there was an incident, I don't remember if it was a Swedish artist, but I think so.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_02]: I think she was trying to like, what do you call it?
- 23:55[SPEAKER_02]: Stage dive.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_02]: But no one.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because everyone was on their phone.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_02]: You know what happened?
- 24:02[SPEAKER_02]: She felt.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_02]: And she liked, I think she broke her leg or something.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_02]: And that was like, so sad.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's kind of hard to watch all the concerts, it's the least fun.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_00]: I'd like to see you all put on a no phone show.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_00]: That would be fun.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_00]: You sound like one grainy photo from the show and you're like, I was the guy, I can't watch a show.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_03]: It feels, yeah, it's so VIP.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_03]: If you'll see the best nights when you're like, oh my god, I had so much fun.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_03]: Never have a photo.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_03]: No, I have stories.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_03]: You know, yeah, in my head, I go back to the, yeah.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_00]: So speaking of other artists, thank you for your beautiful question, Carol.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, really good.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_00]: It's a big year for the Swedish people.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_00]: Like we have Robin music, we have Zara.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_00]: What's it like to watch also Zara like on her musical journey?
- 24:47[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of artists who have been really big in the 2010s and had their moments.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_00]: Like what's it?
- 24:51[SPEAKER_00]: What's it like to watch these people?
- 24:52[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Sarah Larsham, we actually know her.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_02]: Well, she used to be when we did promo back in like 2010.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_02]: She used to be with us.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_02]: And just like, I mean, we love her.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_02]: We're so proud of her.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_02]: And to see her finally, like,
- 25:07[SPEAKER_02]: breaking, like making magic over here.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_02]: We're, I don't know, we're just so proud of her.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_03]: She's in her element.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_02]: She's such a pop star.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like you two would do very well with a Zara club.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_02]: We're actually done one a long time ago.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe we should pick that up.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_02]: Someone who can dance.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yes, but I don't know if she, yeah, we did live, we didn't actually record it.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_03]: But she, yeah, but she's just so, I feel like finally she's where she deserves to be, you know, it's, um, yeah, love her, try to the dolphin mean.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_00]: Shout out to the dolphins.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_03]: Shout out.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_00]: Now let's talk about this new album in the works.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_00]: Now I love yellow top.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you think it reminds me of Stockholm at night in a way like that's one of my songs and then as you say in many of your songs It makes you want to laugh and cry at the same time and for me, it makes you want to take a hot girl walk and be in my emotions Hey, why is it yellow top?
- 26:02[SPEAKER_03]: Ooh
- 26:04[SPEAKER_03]: I mean that song is, it just feels like why not a pink top.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_00]: Why not a pink top?
- 26:09[SPEAKER_00]: Why not a white top?
- 26:11[SPEAKER_00]: Is there a cute yellow top in your closet?
- 26:14[SPEAKER_03]: We do, actually.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we're wearing a yellow top.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_03]: And I mean,
- 26:21[SPEAKER_03]: That song for us is I beat that.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, and just like that dreamy having a romance and just like Don't get me started.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_03]: You know that feeling of like, oh, you will always go back to like, I remember that summer and that person and it's always going to be like the best thing you've ever seen.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_00]: So yellow
- 26:49[SPEAKER_00]: Just because.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know why.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's like when you when you go to a beast, they feel like everything is like golden.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's just like it's not a specific yellow top, but it's more like the vibe for me is yellow.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_02]: Like all the buildings are white and yellow.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_02]: No, I don't know.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_02]: It feels I think yellow was the first thing that came up.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, okay, cool play.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_00]: I see.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_00]: Come in for their job.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_02]: But my first heard it first, right?
- 27:16[SPEAKER_00]: I thought you met yellow top of a car and then I listened, I said, even better.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_00]: It's a tank of top.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_02]: They're like a key top.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_02]: You know?
- 27:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_00]: I need a pair of yellow shorts now for her.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_00]: My travels.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_00]: So you can be a lot of top.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yellow top with a yellow bottom.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, please.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_00]: So your new album is called Richuel.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_00]: Why the title Richuel?
- 27:40[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I'm asking the hard questions here.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, it is an album about we've been through a lot together and separately, like, and we had to do some work and we had to, I mean, it's kind of lost ourselves a little bit and we had to find our way back and this album, a lot of it is about the rituals you do to get there, like the small things, like you,
- 28:10[SPEAKER_03]: And they can change, but it can be just like, okay, I get up.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_03]: I do this, I wash my face, I put on that song, and, you know, just like, get into the right thing.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_00]: So that's why you had to thought, you look like you're like, ready to say something.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_02]: And just listening, I look weird when I listen.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_02]: No, but I agree with you.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_02]: It's just the fact that sometimes when life gets hard, you just need to have your rituals that you do.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_02]: Like we say in the song to survive the day, and that's like, brush your teeth, you brush your hair, you wash your face, you take a walk, and then yeah.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_03]: So, you've been like a lot like dancing, I've always been a super important ritual for us, because that's where we always just connect.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_03]: If it's like, basically times a lot of stress, we need to go out and just dance and have like that's also ritual.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_03]: I think sometimes when you talk about like rituals, like taking care of yourself.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_03]: It can become so much like a schedule of like you have to wake up at 4 a.m. and do your like go to set for format 5 good for you, but I just think it's important to also like move your body and to feel free yeah when you start to have I mean sometimes you need like a schedule.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_02]: of course, but sometimes you just need to mess up.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I think it's, I mean, it's so important.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_03]: And even in the song ritual on the album, we say that.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_03]: Like, you need heat towards touch.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_03]: You're going to dance your ass off tonight.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_03]: You got in a Ferrari in it to drive.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_03]: Like, that's, I want to drive.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_00]: Why is the album ritual in all caps?
- 30:03[SPEAKER_00]: Why, like, when an artist says, or we can do lowercase or uppercase, like, what's the decision behind that?
- 30:10[SPEAKER_02]: Ooh.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_00]: I want to know what the decision was.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_00]: You're like, do we do this?
- 30:13[SPEAKER_02]: I think it looked good.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_02]: I actually just looked at it.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_02]: I looked at it, I looked at it.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_02]: Retro.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_02]: Big.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_00]: If it was all lowercase, would it have the same effect?
- 30:25[SPEAKER_02]: Now when you say it, I don't think so.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it's like in your face.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't mean to put it in your mouth.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, good.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_00]: Loud, grunge.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_00]: It also comes in.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_03]: It's loud.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, yeah, this is, we're bad.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_03]: It's Rachel.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_03]: And she's loud.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what's right about her.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, loud and proud.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_00]: We talked about how you both stepped back to navigate some life changes.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_00]: What did that time apart teach you about each other and your relationships with yourselves?
- 30:55[SPEAKER_03]: Ooh, a lot.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_03]: I think, I mean, we've been a band for 17 years.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_03]: That's a long time.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_00]: That's a couple years.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_03]: And I mean, I think we just took our friendship a little bit for granted, not that we were like,
- 31:21[SPEAKER_03]: mean to each other just that it was always like I know it's my best friend and my sister and my family and she's always there and then suddenly you're like no not everyone have a friend like this or friendship like this um that we we can hang out we can sleep in the same bed we can work together
- 31:42[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to babysit, not to give it back.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_02]: You know, almost I wish that would be so good, like, yeah, but no, yeah, hey, free.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_03]: And also we started talking about, because I mean, we're in a band.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_03]: So sometimes it's almost like people see us as one person and we start talking about how different we are.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_03]: But how well we go together, but we are so well together because we're so different.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, you can recognize that.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_00]: I hope you as a joint unit.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, exactly.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_02]: And also what you need, like I need more space.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_02]: I need more time.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not saying that you don't need, but like,
- 32:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I need some more time by myself and to take it a bit more easy nowadays.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_00]: I tell people I just need like an hour of the day by myself, scroll my phone, whatever it be, just break it up.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe like 15 minutes every so often, but if you don't give me that, I get over simulated and I get very cranky.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, I'll stress that.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I'm horrible.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, please.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_01]: Well, just like on this conversation, I was curious, what are your guys' love languages?
- 32:52[SPEAKER_01]: And do you know what the other one is, too?
- 32:55[SPEAKER_01]: Let's play a game.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_03]: We never really talked about that in our like,
- 33:02[SPEAKER_00]: Is it gift giving, is it like words of affirmation?
- 33:05[SPEAKER_00]: How do you show your love to each other?
- 33:07[SPEAKER_00]: Is it like Axe's service?
- 33:12[SPEAKER_02]: It's so small, indeed.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, okay, cue it up.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_02]: Like, yeah, yeah, but we also laugh a lot.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_03]: Like, this is so funny that we never thought about that in guys, words each other and funny.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, do I give you gifts?
- 33:35[SPEAKER_03]: I'm thinking.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_03]: No, but maybe.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_03]: No, but maybe.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, cross line off.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I mean, no.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_02]: I think we always like, I feel my face showing off.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_01]: More each other.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_01]: And it's time to, probably.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_03]: But I feel like showing off for the other person, like being there.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, over the moon.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_00]: You agree?
- 34:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, yes.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_02]: I was not thinking because some people are like very touch it.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_02]: We're not like, yeah, we have friends that are like, oh, that.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_02]: No, I show it up, I think that's good.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, like we always got each other's back.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that was also, like, when we wrote Richel, that was a beautiful thing that would, I wasn't in the studio, but still me and Caroline we met and we took a coffee and we talked about life and then we were like, it's so beautiful to see our friendship bloom, like a pretty dark period in our lives.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's been an amazing year and it's been so fun to go into the studio and like do this whole icon of pop thing Yeah, it's our baby.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah for sure and also like We were like it feels like we started a band yesterday and we've been a band for 17 years like it's that little
- 35:05[SPEAKER_00]: This album also gets very emotional.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_00]: I think you've said it at times.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_00]: What was it like tapping into the more emotional side of songwriting?
- 35:13[SPEAKER_00]: Were you afraid of some rejection or afraid of telling some of these emotions in these songs?
- 35:20[SPEAKER_02]: It's always scary to open up.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_02]: I think we're written a lot of heartbreak stories throughout our, I kind of pop at time, but I feel like,
- 35:34[SPEAKER_02]: On this album, you got, for example, hurt and that is a song that's super honest and sad and it's not about a friend or a story, it's like actual, it's about us, it's about everything we've gone through and it's the production is so sad in the beginning and then it just opens up to something more dancer and beautiful and I think that kind of also explains what we've been through.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_02]: Like going from that dark place, beautiful dark sad place to a more like, a jansy vibe.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I feel like it's, it's really been like,
- 36:15[SPEAKER_03]: therapy, riding this album, and right there in the moment, it's more like the song, this really needed to come out.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_03]: But then when you're down, you're like, what is someone actually going to get this?
- 36:27[SPEAKER_03]: You know, like then you feel more like, oh, a little bit like, wait, this person that were, you know, then you get a little bit more nervous.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_03]: But they're making it, it's
- 36:42[SPEAKER_03]: I mean it happened because it was such a good vibe in the studio and we felt it's safe enough to be vulnerable.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_00]: Butterfly food and feelings girl.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_00]: Now looking at some of your path, this album is like you said it's been 17 years together.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_00]: What do you think has musically changed about your sound?
- 37:07[SPEAKER_00]: Or is it?
- 37:07[SPEAKER_00]: What do you say?
- 37:08[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's the same.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_02]: I think on this album, we've gone back a little bit to more like old iconopop, but of course our sound has developed, but it's more like we, I think the luxury with being in iconopop is that we can do a super pop song, but we can also go very dancing.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_02]: So it's such luxury to be able to do kind of
- 37:34[SPEAKER_02]: everything on the spectrum, but yeah, I think we've gone a little bit more back to the old, I kind of pops out.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and I feel like maybe it's more what we're seeing about, because I mean, life change and
- 37:54[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe that's what's changed the most.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_03]: We still think about some stuff, like love and heartbreak.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_03]: Have been present throughout the years.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_03]: And he hears yes.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but in like maybe you view things differently.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_03]: Now, um, but I feel like us singing together like our shanty choirs, um, that's like something that happened a little bit like we were in the studio, we didn't have time, let's do it together, let's lay it down on the mic.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_03]: But then it really became something that it's so important.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you know, and we love just tuning in and singing together on the mic.
- 38:41[SPEAKER_03]: Wow.
- 38:41[SPEAKER_00]: I got all the feels.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_00]: I do agree.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_00]: I do agree with a little bit of everything from when I've heard Sonicly over the years.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_00]: You're very welcome.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_00]: I love it.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_00]: I've been a super stance and say one.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_00]: No, we're on.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_00]: We good.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_01]: Uh-huh.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_00]: Great.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_01]: Just building moving.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's just filming.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_01]: It's just filming.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_01]: It's just filming.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, man.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_00]: No one's podcast.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes we ask dumb questions and you wonder, Andy, why'd you ask a dumb question?
- 39:10[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's time for that segment.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_00]: Really dumb questions.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you don't think they're dumb.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe I do.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's all opinions anyway.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_00]: Now, we have some fun questions for you.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I obviously know your dysgography.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_00]: I've seen some interviews.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_00]: And my first question is for you.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_00]: Now, Carolyn, you once told Cosup Hall attend that you got recognized out of spa.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_00]: And you were doing your thing, you know, did this interaction help inspire the song spa with Sophie Tucker?
- 39:37[SPEAKER_00]: I want to know.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_03]: I'm thinking about if you're referring to a special spot.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think they make it.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, they make it spot.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_03]: And I mean, no, I don't think it did, but it should have.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_03]: But we just love sauna and we love, you know, like, especially if you're
- 39:59[SPEAKER_03]: touring, working a lot, like just going to a spa is coming in at free and spa.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_03]: Three, and yeah, when we did that song with Sophie Tucker, we were vibing in the studio and just talking about how we much we all needed to go to it through a spa.
- 40:17[SPEAKER_00]: Vegas opens up a different playing field and you're like, what if we just don't go to the day club, he's going to a spa.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you for going.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_01]: Actually, it sounds great.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_00]: Why not?
- 40:27[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to be uptight anyway.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_02]: Love that.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_00]: What's your favorite thing to do with the spa?
- 40:32[SPEAKER_02]: Sauna.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_02]: Great.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_03]: A good massage.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_00]: Salt scrub.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_03]: A little bit of everything.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_03]: Everything.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_03]: Give it to me.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_00]: Looking back at an early career.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_00]: Bangor.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_00]: Did people ever confuse you to as Charlie XCX when I love it came out or like confused you as an artist along the way in your career and what was your response?
- 40:57[SPEAKER_03]: I think me, I don't think like if they were sitting in front of us that they were like, oh you're Charlie, but... No, I don't think so.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_03]: No.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe if we were just one person, like if I caught up with one person, I think that would have happened a lot more.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but now we're two, so then yeah, no one, no one thought we were Charlie.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_00]: Good to know.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, just double-checking.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, well, so I loved it.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_02]: It would be great if someone just compliment.
- 41:34[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I would have been a compliment.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_03]: Sure.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's like, for a day, you have a workspace.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_00]: We have to put this room to rest.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_00]: Did either of you ever actually crash your car into a bridge because that has been the conversation of almost two decades?
- 41:50[SPEAKER_02]: We did not.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_02]: No, we did not.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_00]: Did you crash your car into anything else?
- 41:55[SPEAKER_00]: Have you crashed your car into anything else?
- 41:56[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_00]: Would you like to?
- 41:57[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, sometime.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_03]: If I'm really angry, but I'm not.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_03]: No.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_03]: No.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_00]: What bridge were you also writing about when you said you crashed your car into it?
- 42:10[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it feels like it's crazy though because we've been having people like calling from like hospitals and being like, we crashed our car into a bridge listening to that song.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_03]: We're like, are you okay?
- 42:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, why are you calling?
- 42:26[SPEAKER_01]: Like, why is it intentional?
- 42:28[SPEAKER_02]: Like, yeah, that's what we're filming today.
- 42:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I want to get a reaction out of you.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_00]: Just like see, you're like, my heart hurt it.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_02]: It's crazy.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_00]: That's why old.
- 42:40[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, well, that answers that.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_00]: My last question of really dumb questions.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_00]: Do people really love IKEA as much as they do in the US?
- 42:50[SPEAKER_00]: Because we know the US loves IKEA.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_02]: Sweet love.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_02]: I think we have more IKEA.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_02]: Really?
- 42:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_02]: In sweet and we even opened an IKEA in the city center and you can go there and eat lunch.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_02]: It's so much cheap.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_02]: Is it just a lunch IKEA?
- 43:08[SPEAKER_02]: No, it's like you got most of the stuff there.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_02]: Not everything, but it's like a smaller version.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_02]: You can go there, eat cheap lounge, and then you go downstairs, and you come back and stuff.
- 43:17[SPEAKER_02]: And then you all like, like, sweet, love IKEA.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_00]: They don't make fun of anybody else who's like, never.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_03]: Like, you can be there if you don't make fun of anyone going to that.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, no, I can't.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_03]: Like, because, and even here.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_02]: I remember us, when we lived here, we could sometimes go to IKEA.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, because you got all this way yourself.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_01]: And so you can go and get all this way yourself.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_02]: We love IKEA.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_01]: My God, they only Swedish, and that's yeah, so they would take me there, and we would eat the Swedish meatballs, and they would sign off.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_01]: Isn't it amazing?
- 43:48[SPEAKER_02]: They're so good.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, good.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_00]: So good.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_01]: Well, experience.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of not fair that they don't really have them close together, because sometimes you have to make a decision of like half my day is going to be at IKEA.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_00]: I wish it wasn't an hour drive.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_00]: I wish it was like 20 minutes.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_00]: I'd be the last one.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, every day.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_03]: Every day.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_03]: But then maybe it's my special.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, like a little thing that you do stuff.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_00]: am I going to the spot where Ikea will see you know that's a good you know well we have a fun segment here Carolin has obviously been very patient and buzzes on when she wants but she gets her own segment here called questions from the peanut gallery Carol and you have four minutes to ask whatever you want and it's your time to shine I know these are some more like pop culture you questions your song was on glee do you wear that as a badge of honor especially now that it's off the air oh good question
- 44:38[SPEAKER_01]: I actually never watched Glee, that's okay.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm sorry, but I think it was like more musical, right?
- 44:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it was, I mean, it was, I know it was a huge show, but so, yeah, I mean, amazing.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for using our song and helping us, but I can't really answer that one.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, no.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I answered it, but I don't know.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_02]: What about you?
- 45:03[SPEAKER_02]: Did you do your music?
- 45:05[SPEAKER_02]: but it didn't have to be.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, she's on a dance.
- 45:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_01]: Perfect.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_01]: Perfect.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_01]: And then, um, which of your trolls movie co-stars, would you want to do a song with?
- 45:14[SPEAKER_01]: Justin Timberlake, okay.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_00]: Why Justin?
- 45:17[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, we were in the studio with him when we recorded the trolls, love it.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_03]: And we had, he's so fun.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_02]: And also, I mean, you know what?
- 45:28[SPEAKER_02]: Justin was one of the big reasons where I became like, started to do music.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_02]: He doesn't know it, but now you know, no, maybe now he knows.
- 45:35[SPEAKER_02]: No, he knows.
- 45:36[SPEAKER_02]: And I couldn't tell him when we were in the studio because I was like, oh, I'm gonna be such a geek, but I was the biggest in sync fan.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_02]: I would, I mean, I'm not that literally, but like, you know, the teenage heart was crying.
- 45:52[SPEAKER_02]: I knew all the songs, so meeting Justin was for me, like, okay, I made it.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_01]: Singing with Justin, and he made it so nice, so so nice, so nice, so nice.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_01]: Are your kids old enough now to watch the troll movies and then do they understand that it's you guys in it?
- 46:11[SPEAKER_02]: They are, I think now they would understand, but I tried to watch the troll's movies a couple of years ago, and he was like, where are you?
- 46:19[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, it's my voice, but yeah.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_02]: So I think I'm going to try to watch them with him this year.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I watched with my daughter.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_02]: And now she's like, this is the movie you're in.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_03]: But I don't think she really understands it because you can't see.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_03]: Like, it's more, she's like, yeah, almost like recording a song.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I was fine too.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_01]: That's fine.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_01]: And then final silly question, Swedish candy really popped off here.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, Bruno.
- 46:47[SPEAKER_01]: It's having huge momentum.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_01]: We're seeing more and more like Swedish candy stores, too.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_01]: What is your favorite Swedish candy?
- 46:53[SPEAKER_01]: And is it licorice?
- 46:55[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_02]: Wow, yeah sweet licorice, but that for me is more finish, but we love that finish as well.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_02]: So, but there are so many good things.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I can't even choose.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_02]: We have like the red Ferrari cars.
- 47:09[SPEAKER_02]: Mmm, sweet licorice.
- 47:10[SPEAKER_02]: Is that why you say red Ferrari a lot?
- 47:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's not the only one.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_02]: That's a lot.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_02]: It's like sour stuff as well.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_02]: But I would say, oh.
- 47:20[SPEAKER_02]: It's just a texture like it's so fresh, yeah, it doesn't fit me like I would eat it already Oh my god, yeah, the next time that I click I sport lunch It's a chocolate that's really good It's called sports lunch, but it's actually just candy, but that's Caroline So one of your thoughts, yeah, always like maybe we should just have a sport lunch Yeah, it's so true so sporty, but it's not
- 47:48[SPEAKER_00]: I love it.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_00]: Carolyn, do you have anything else?
- 47:52[SPEAKER_00]: You pretty much went bang bang bang bang.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, man.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_01]: I did the job.
- 47:56[SPEAKER_01]: Boom.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_00]: Any other questions?
- 47:57[SPEAKER_01]: That's it for me.
- 47:58[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_00]: That's it.
- 48:01[SPEAKER_00]: We just had to hit it one time.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted to ask this entire time.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_03]: I just wanted.
- 48:04[SPEAKER_02]: I just wanted.
- 48:06[SPEAKER_03]: You want to hit it?
- 48:07[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 48:08[SPEAKER_02]: Such a relief.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_00]: It's wild.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_00]: Well, to close out the podcast, we have one final segment.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes you've got to get something off your chest in life.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_00]: You know?
- 48:16[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes you're like, I just want to.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_00]: scream I just want to like to have someone understand what I'm feeling do you girls have anything you want to get off your chest?
- 48:26[SPEAKER_03]: you know what?
- 48:28[SPEAKER_03]: I feel like we've been talking about this a lot lately that nowadays we know everything about each other okay like
- 48:42[SPEAKER_03]: Let's say we're going on a date.
- 48:43[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_03]: I'm gonna go on a date and then it's all this information.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_03]: I can be like, no, I don't think that person is from me.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_03]: Or, oh, what's that name?
- 48:52[SPEAKER_03]: I'm gonna Google it.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_03]: There's so many ways of getting information.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_01]: And I feel like you kind of lose the mistake.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_03]: And like, yeah.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_03]: You know, when you just meet someone, it's just saying cancel dating apps.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_02]: I'm saying cancel dating.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not saying can, I'm just saying like,
- 49:13[SPEAKER_03]: trust their instincts again a little bit more and dare to like meet someone without knowing everything and be like you know you know what maybe while concept like how we survive before it like because you didn't have a choice you have to like you have to meet people you have to yeah and it's not only like dating it's like in so many different situations
- 49:43[SPEAKER_03]: Sometimes, maybe you don't have to know everything.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_03]: You can just be like, I like your vibe Let's try something together and then let's see what happens.
- 49:54[SPEAKER_03]: Like it doesn't Yeah, we've been talking about sometimes It's almost like you gather all this information and you decide before not if based on But what is it really based on like you know
- 50:11[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, that's a good little bit more like rock and roll in the steak.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, what about you my girls or anything out of your chest you feel the same way?
- 50:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, I agree.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, what's something got to go for a chest?
- 50:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, for me it's it's breastfeeding in in in public.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_00]: in public?
- 50:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_02]: I like in Sweden.
- 50:28[SPEAKER_02]: I'll pull out my tits every day when I'm brushing your teeth.
- 50:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's not really.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_02]: Like I people, I like I've seen people, I haven't done it here, but maybe I'll just, okay, my baby's not here as well.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_02]: And I had to pay me.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_02]: So one is, it's not five euros.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 50:44[SPEAKER_02]: I have a small one.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_02]: But more like people think it's so nasty.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of people.
- 50:50[SPEAKER_02]: And in Sweden like people you see tits if you if you can't got it got to eat like what like it's the why do you like it's it's just titties
- 50:59[SPEAKER_02]: I like don't be scared you probably had it as well yeah yeah so for me I don't I don't get that like yeah and I get a little bit angry because for me it's like it's one of the most natural things why do we make it so unnatural it's a beautiful thing yeah it's it's awesome the people will get to breastfeed because not everyone can you don't have the milk but it's awesome
- 51:30[SPEAKER_02]: on a bench in the car at the mall yeah and you don't have to hide it well yeah so that's something I thought about because yeah I'm with you know yeah we thought about we talk about it a lot Carolyn is there anything you want to get off your chest
- 51:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, but it feels kind of silly and comparison, I will send a rest for you.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_01]: It's a little niche.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_01]: I think the British Spell Theater correctly, and I think we should rally together to change the AP style guide spelling of theater.
- 51:57[SPEAKER_01]: It should be T-H-E-A-T-R-E. You know, you have one E-A-T-A-R. Ooh!
- 52:04[SPEAKER_03]: You know.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_01]: I've never even walked, but once it's been like that, so for someone, and yeah, yeah, I like that was my whole life growing up.
- 52:12[SPEAKER_01]: I was very much a theater kid, and now I'm in the dream of some space, and a few style guide is ER, unless the building itself is spelled RE, then we can get away with it.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_01]: And I have gotten into numerous disagreements with editors over it, because I don't agree because I feel like everyone in the craft understands it's RE, and I think we should respect that.
- 52:31[SPEAKER_01]: And with style guides with AP, like while they are like the standard of it, most newsrooms have their own like specific adjustments they'll make for it And I think if we all start pushing for that AP will make the change because that's happened before too.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_01]: We didn't even notice that.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_02]: But we, we're, we're, we're, we're so with you.
- 52:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we're so with you.
- 52:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 52:48[SPEAKER_00]: What other things are spelled differently?
- 52:49[SPEAKER_00]: Or when you kind of the US, you're like, why?
- 52:51[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, something that I thought about now when we were talking about this.
- 52:55[SPEAKER_02]: Why do you call it soccer and not football?
- 52:59[SPEAKER_01]: That is so weird.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_01]: None of you started to cosplay the world cup.
- 53:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 53:04[SPEAKER_00]: It makes more sense.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_02]: And why does the British people drive on the wrong side of the road?
- 53:10[SPEAKER_00]: You know, that was really hard on the other side of the world.
- 53:12[SPEAKER_01]: I will refuse to drive on the other side of the road.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_01]: So the roads are really narrow.
- 53:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_02]: Wow.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_02]: I felt like we need to change something.
- 53:21[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like you know why.
- 53:23[SPEAKER_02]: I know for president.
- 53:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 53:26[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_00]: The only thing I got out of my chest is sometimes, I have you at the music festivals.
- 53:31[SPEAKER_00]: And the girls I want to see, why are they at the same time?
- 53:35[SPEAKER_00]: Why do you do this to me?
- 53:37[SPEAKER_00]: Why do you make me have to make the toughest decision of my life?
- 53:39[SPEAKER_03]: Of your life.
- 53:40[SPEAKER_00]: And I have to split time with my two girls and do my thing in the most irrational way, screaming, crying, and missing a surprise act.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_00]: missing an incredible song.
- 53:51[SPEAKER_00]: I love missing them coming into the audience and giving me a hug.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know girl, but like, why do you do that to me?
- 53:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I agree.
- 53:59[SPEAKER_01]: I missed Chapel Rown at Coachella because I had to be there for Sabrina Carpenter.
- 54:03[SPEAKER_01]: They were basically overlapping and you were needed to get spot for Sabrina and I still.
- 54:08[SPEAKER_01]: regret this.
- 54:09[SPEAKER_00]: They make us fight over the small things.
- 54:12[SPEAKER_02]: When you put like a super small artist when there's a huge artist playing.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, like it's also not fair.
- 54:18[SPEAKER_02]: What up with that?
- 54:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no, no mention no at just like what up with that.
- 54:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we should start a festival as well.
- 54:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm, I, I would have a lot of things.
- 54:28[SPEAKER_01]: I love you starting clubs, festivals, festivals, yeah.
- 54:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, where Olivia Rodriguez just announced she's doing her own festival, which is what you do in your own festival in the future if you ever
- 54:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, and we won't put two main acts at the same time or a super small artists, and it will be a little bit different genres Yeah, I want to see release it in the woods or somewhere random no phones no split decisions Text the address last minute.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 54:54[SPEAKER_01]: I love a surprise like that Give us the city, but then wait for that.
- 54:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 54:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 54:57[SPEAKER_01]: Bam.
- 54:58[SPEAKER_01]: Well, we got it.
- 54:59[SPEAKER_03]: That's a good one.
- 54:59[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 55:00[SPEAKER_00]: I caught a pop.
- 55:01[SPEAKER_00]: You're album ritual.
- 55:02[SPEAKER_00]: What does it come out for the girls who are listening?

- 55:10[SPEAKER_03]: And it feels so so exciting, but just what it's so soon.
- 55:17[SPEAKER_03]: I know.
- 55:18[SPEAKER_00]: Any other fun plans after the album comes out for the rest of the year.
