  SPEAKER_00: Leader, happy Thursday.
• 0:58
SPEAKER_00: If you're listening to us on Thursday, we go live every Thursday.
• 1:00
SPEAKER_00: And today we have a very special treat.
• 1:03
SPEAKER_00: We have a great friend of mine, Michelle Tasco, with us here today.
• 1:06
SPEAKER_00: And when you talk about wealth, talk about trusting, talking about healing and really overcoming some really great challenges.
• 1:15
SPEAKER_00: Well, I think challenges would be a great word to describe that in life, in business, in wealth.
• 1:22
SPEAKER_00: Michelle is a beautiful example of really what is possible when you really are focused and really lead with love and light when it comes to looking at your wealth story.
• 1:34
SPEAKER_00: And Michelle has been featured on She has appeared on Dr.
• 1:39
SPEAKER_00: Phil as well as the Chelsea Handler Show.
• 1:41
SPEAKER_00: And she's also been a financial guest expert featured in Vandy Fair and has been a contributing author through the Science of Getting Rich for Women book, which, you know, Carol and I always love talking about the neuroscience of wealth.
• 1:53
SPEAKER_00: And what I love about Michelle, and I've been able to experience this firsthand as a good friend of hers, has been attending some of her financial workshop that she did a few years ago when we got to do Mastering Leadership together, is that Michelle's approach is very hands-on and practical.
• 2:08
SPEAKER_00: She tailors her coaching to the particular needs of the clients that she works with.
• 2:12
SPEAKER_00: And she has had an opportunity to work with people.
• 2:15
SPEAKER_00: And I know a lot of women across not just the US, but also in Canada and I think some places even globally.
• 2:22
  SPEAKER_00: What?
• 2:22
  SPEAKER_00: Canada?
• 2:23
  SPEAKER_00: What?
• 2:25
  SPEAKER_00: Yes, Canada.
• 2:26
SPEAKER_00: We're on the map too.
• 2:27
SPEAKER_00: And just Michelle always meets you where you're at and is such a beautiful cheerleader in your corner, in your court.
• 2:37
SPEAKER_00: You know, I think sometimes with money and sometimes our money stories and sometimes our past with money, there's sometimes a lot of shame, right?
• 2:44
SPEAKER_00: There's a lot of feeling around maybe some financial decisions that were made or, you know, there's a lot of emotion, right?
• 2:50
SPEAKER_00: And especially, you know, even as look at the neuroscience, there's a lot of emotion that is connected a lot of times with our money, our identity and our stories and a lot of shame sometimes around that.
• 3:00
SPEAKER_00: And I know that Michelle works so much with so many people, whether or not they are overcoming debt and creating that financial freedom or they've created financial freedom and then they want to get to that next level so they don't find themselves constantly in that same cycle.
• 3:14
SPEAKER_00: So Michelle, we're so excited to have you here today to dive in to some of the things that you've uncovered on your own journey and just to really stand for our listeners and be able to create that that wealth from a space of love and light and be empowered by the financial decisions that they get to make.
• 3:34
  SPEAKER_00: So welcome, Michelle.
• 3:35
SPEAKER_00: We're so happy to have you here.
• 3:37
SPEAKER_02: Thank you so much, Alex.
• 3:38
SPEAKER_02: I'm really happy to be here.
• 3:39
SPEAKER_02: And yes, this area is near and dear to my heart because when I even think about where I started, I had four credit cards and collections and my car was repossessed.
• 3:49
SPEAKER_02: And so even though everything can look good on paper, it doesn't necessarily mean that you have a healthy relationship with money.
• 3:58
SPEAKER_02: I believe that our formal education just teaches us how to get a good job because you got that piece of paper that you can hang up on your wall.
• 4:08
SPEAKER_02: But there's this feeling that I even really prepared to know what to do when I get that paycheck.
• 4:15
SPEAKER_02: And I think that there's so many taboo areas around money that we wish our parents taught us.
• 4:24
  SPEAKER_02: We see other people.
• 4:26
SPEAKER_02: And I think there is this feeling that I'm in the dark, I'm behind.
• 4:31
SPEAKER_02: Comparison comes up a lot.
• 4:33
SPEAKER_02: And there are a lot of people that look like they've got it together on the outside, but they really are struggling on the inside.
• 4:40
SPEAKER_02: And it's one of those, well, if you only knew what's really happening, you would think differently.
• 4:47
SPEAKER_02: But that's, you know, a lot of times we wear a mask to protect ourselves and to self-preserve.
• 4:54
SPEAKER_02: But When you are so vulnerable and transparent with your finances, there's a place of authenticity and really surrender that will help you to uncover what really is possible so that you can stand on solid ground and both feel confident as well as be confident with your finances.
• 5:17
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 5:18
  SPEAKER_01: That's beautiful.
• 5:19
  SPEAKER_01: It's so powerful, right?
• 5:21
SPEAKER_01: When you start to look at these things through a different lens and, you know, be able to have that kind of confidence.
• 5:30
SPEAKER_01: And you spoke into what do we do when we get that paycheck?
• 5:35
SPEAKER_01: What do we do when the money starts flowing in?
• 5:37
SPEAKER_01: What does that relationship look like?
• 5:40
  SPEAKER_01: And I think that's a really critical principle.
• 5:44
SPEAKER_01: Our relationship with money is a reflection of our relationships with ourselves.
• 5:50
SPEAKER_01: And it sounds like you speak directly into that very much.
• 5:55
SPEAKER_01: So when you're approaching this with people, you know, where's the area that you start in first?
• 6:04
SPEAKER_01: Like, what do you take them through first to help them start to progress in having what they desire and using it in a healthy way?
• 6:15
SPEAKER_01: Or is that even the approach?
• 6:18
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I love that question, Carol, because I think that oftentimes when you hire a financial coach, you think, okay, we're just going to dive right into the numbers and like, let me just fasten my seatbelt because I mean, surely my numbers are like the worst you've ever seen.
• 6:35
SPEAKER_02: So I'm just hold my breath and like, you know, wait for you to like, Yeah, just have at me.
• 6:43
SPEAKER_02: And I think we're already entering into a conversation where naturally we're harder on ourselves than other people would be.
• 6:52
SPEAKER_02: And I certainly have never, ever been mad or punished any of my clients for any of their decisions because they didn't know any better.
• 7:06
SPEAKER_02: And if they knew how to do it, what they needed to do, they'd be doing it already.
• 7:09
SPEAKER_02: And so that's why they brought me into the picture.
• 7:12
SPEAKER_02: And my approach is very different because I like to marry both financial coaching with life coaching.
• 7:19
SPEAKER_02: And I think in that combination, we're addressing the person first.
• 7:24
SPEAKER_02: And so to start with vision, there's a ancient saying that says, my people perish for lack of vision.
• 7:33
SPEAKER_02: And in that saying, you realize that if you don't have vision for what could be possible then you'll continue to repeat the past and what i love to emphasize is that your past is not your present nor will it be your tomorrow and up until now maybe there's certain things that you've done but we get to create something in the future that's totally brand new that's totally what you have um felt you're you're supposed to be or you get to be or you want to be but just didn't know how um a lot of times i work with clients that they just know that they know that they know and from the bottom of their heart that they're meant to be a millionaire Obviously, it's not reflected in their finances, but they just know that they're meant for more and that there's something that if they only knew that secret, that formula, the keys, that they would actually be able to open those doors instead of feeling like doors are always shutting in front of them.
• 8:28
SPEAKER_02: And so in that first session on vision, we're focusing on the 2.0 version of life that they're wanting to create.
• 8:35
SPEAKER_02: And what's so beautiful about that is that someone can wipe the slate clean and can begin to dream again and they can say oh i've always wanted to do this and i've always wanted to travel here and i've always wanted this kind of home and i wanted to drive this car and i wanted to do these hobbies and garden and have a cabin in the woods and all of that and when you start to I'd say release the dreamer inside of you, then the question becomes for personal development, well, who do you get to become to be able to follow through, take action and make the best decisions to create that beautiful life?
• 9:15
SPEAKER_02: Because when you access that, you're not living life by default, you're living life by design.
• 9:22
SPEAKER_02: And so then you get to design the life that you know that you're meant to be living.
• 9:26
SPEAKER_02: And so if you're going to be the person that designs the life that you're meant to be living, then who do you get to be both in character and values?
• 9:35
SPEAKER_02: Like, okay, I get to be more organized.
• 9:38
SPEAKER_02: All right, I can do that.
• 9:39
SPEAKER_02: I get to be more responsible.
• 9:41
SPEAKER_02: I get to be more consistent, more disciplined.
• 9:44
SPEAKER_02: I get to be more proactive, more intentional.
• 9:47
SPEAKER_02: I actually get to be more generous.
• 9:49
SPEAKER_02: And instead of like, constricting everything and holding everything so tight.
• 9:53
SPEAKER_02: And then we shift the way that you think, because another lovely ancient saying is that we are renewed by the, or transformed by the renewing of our minds.
• 10:07
SPEAKER_02: And so that, that recalibrating, that re- replenishing and almost like reframing in our thinking will then allow us to have a new set of guidelines of how we make decisions forward and from a place of possibility instead of from a place of hoping not to be let down.
• 10:31
SPEAKER_02: Because what happens is that When you come from a place of hoping not to be let down, then your, your minimums become your maximums.
• 10:39
SPEAKER_02: I'll at least do one sale.
• 10:41
SPEAKER_02: I'll at least, you know, maybe get this thing or that thing, or maybe I'll at least get paid this much money.
• 10:46
SPEAKER_02: And so when we shift that thinking from like scarcity to abundance, as far as old wave thinking to new wave thinking, or we shift the thinking from uncertainty to full certainty with a plan or impulsive, like how many of us have been impulsive with like, Oh, Well, I deserve that.
• 11:04
SPEAKER_02: I'm just going to get that.
• 11:05
SPEAKER_02: And then you pay for it later with interest on your credit cards because you were impulsive with that purchase instead of being intentional and thought out.
• 11:14
SPEAKER_02: And that opens up such an ease and flow with how you shop.
• 11:21
SPEAKER_02: I had one client, which I loved.
• 11:23
SPEAKER_02: She became Rookie of the Year for Laura Gale.
• 11:26
SPEAKER_02: And she's like, Michelle, I have a problem making money.
• 11:28
SPEAKER_02: Money comes and money goes.
• 11:29
SPEAKER_02: Money comes and money goes.
• 11:31
SPEAKER_02: And I said, wait a minute, let's shift your mindset here.
• 11:34
SPEAKER_02: What if instead of money comes and goes, what if money comes and grows?
• 11:41
SPEAKER_02: And it was just such a different way of thinking.
• 11:45
SPEAKER_02: And you could tell in her internal processing, it's like, wait, okay, I never thought about that.
• 11:52
SPEAKER_02: All right, erase, write this new line in.
• 11:55
SPEAKER_02: And then that really shifted her entire trajectory because then from a money and grows type of standpoint, what can I do to buy a home?
• 12:02
SPEAKER_02: What can I do to invest?
• 12:04
SPEAKER_02: What can I do to be able to multiply my money?
• 12:07
SPEAKER_02: And that really just came from that little tweak but when you think about like trajectory if you can just shift something uh like two degrees multiply that by 15 years you're in a very very different place you know in the
• 12:24
SPEAKER_01: It's like the plane course correcting a way to get there.
• 12:29
SPEAKER_01: And man, you're speaking my language because you talk about vision.
• 12:32
SPEAKER_01: And then she went right into identity, right?
• 12:36
SPEAKER_01: The being and then shifting the thinking.
• 12:39
SPEAKER_01: And I tell you, it was such a similar process, just said a little bit differently.
• 12:45
SPEAKER_01: And The way that you say it though is so beautiful and powerful and being able to help people to lean in.
• 12:53
SPEAKER_01: One of the things that I like to share is that poor people often think about paying bills.
• 13:01
SPEAKER_01: Middle-class people often think about how to obtain good credit to buy liabilities or things that really aren't needed, consumer things.
• 13:11
SPEAKER_01: But the wealthy always think about multiplying.
• 13:14
SPEAKER_01: And when you told her to shift that into growing right there, that's it.
• 13:19
SPEAKER_01: And I love that point of view too.
• 13:24
  SPEAKER_01: I think it's really beautiful.
• 13:27
SPEAKER_01: Just when you get into an airplane, the airplane's not taking you to point B, just zoom directly.
• 13:35
SPEAKER_01: It's making course adjustments all along the way so that you land at point B.
• 13:41
SPEAKER_01: And that's exactly what you're saying when you shifted that to grow, right?
• 13:46
  SPEAKER_01: It's so beautiful.
• 13:49
SPEAKER_01: And tell us a little bit about your story, your background.
• 13:52
SPEAKER_01: How'd you get into this?
• 13:53
  SPEAKER_01: I
• 13:54
SPEAKER_00: was just going to say, I was like, Michelle, I want to, like, the neuroscience is like, how did you shift from that moment, right?
• 14:01
SPEAKER_00: Like really going back to your beginning, because I right?
• 14:04
SPEAKER_00: Our subconscious creates these patterns and we're going to repeat them and repeat them until obviously there's interruption.
• 14:10
SPEAKER_00: But I mean, you have like what, where you were and what you were able to overcome to create the life that you've now created.
• 14:18
SPEAKER_00: Like, I mean, I know a lot of people admire that.
• 14:21
  SPEAKER_00: I know it's something I admire in you.
• 14:22
  SPEAKER_00: It's like, okay.
• 14:23
SPEAKER_00: I mean, ever since we've been friends, I've been like, okay, I want to understand a little bit more of like what really went through the the brain and the process to really heal the things that you experience and really shift from a bit of a, I guess, a consumer mindset, right?
• 14:40
SPEAKER_00: Like you had quite a consumer mindset and the, you know, the environment, the social pressures, right?
• 14:48
SPEAKER_00: Which most of us, I mean, right?
• 14:50
SPEAKER_00: Our environment, society influences a lot of times, a lot of our, you know, decision-making or buying decisions.
• 14:56
SPEAKER_00: So really what shifted for you for those that are thinking okay i want that i don't want to just have it come in and come out i want it to grow i want it to multiply i want i want to create what michelle's created to to take us back to react the reality of what really got to take take shape because i think there's also there's a commitment piece that there is required that happens right and so for those that are listening like okay it's possible it's possible because I know knowing you, I've seen what you've been able to create.
• 15:26
  SPEAKER_00: So it's possible.
• 15:27
SPEAKER_00: So now my brain can borrow the evidence to know that it's possible, but now it's tapping into the belief system and I get to have that internal shift to now, as you said, Michelle, like have those, the way that you're being, how you make your decisions, that gets a shift too, to now create that new reality of what I know that you've been able to create over the last, you know, several, well, not several, like many years now, right?
• 15:50
SPEAKER_00: And the complete shifts that you made in your life.
• 15:54
SPEAKER_02: So I had my own come to Jesus moment and it was that I was in a personal development seminar.
• 16:01
SPEAKER_02: I was in the front row and this woman was saying, I'm going to teach you the real truth about money.
• 16:08
SPEAKER_02: I'm going to teach you about relationships, about communication.
• 16:12
SPEAKER_02: I'm going to teach you about sales.
• 16:14
SPEAKER_02: But the first thing I need to do is I need to teach you about forgiveness.
• 16:18
SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, what did I sign up for?
• 16:20
SPEAKER_02: What is this going on?
• 16:25
SPEAKER_02: You know, there's a lot of tenderness in that area because 2005, I sat in that front row and I had been like, in a situation where I had been raped about a month and a half prior.
• 16:49
SPEAKER_02: I had tens of thousands of dollars embezzled from who I thought was a friend.
• 16:56
SPEAKER_02: I had been manipulated to co-signing on a loan for a car.
• 17:02
SPEAKER_02: I had been in a bad boyfriend relationship, I think, we've all had a bad boyfriend, but this was a financial atrocity of a situation.
• 17:18
SPEAKER_02: Hence everything ending up being four credit cards and collections and car repossessed.
• 17:26
SPEAKER_02: And so it's like, all right, well, I've hit rock bottom.
• 17:29
SPEAKER_02: And so where else can I go from here?
• 17:31
SPEAKER_02: And she said, you gotta forgive.
• 17:35
SPEAKER_02: And I think that there is a connection between where our heart really wants to open up, but from lack of forgiveness and bitterness and resent that we actually build this layer of protection that actually becomes a prison cell that keeps us captive from the abundance that we can actually access freely, actually really access freely.
• 18:09
SPEAKER_02: know i said actually a lot but it's like really really emphasizing actually and in that i forgave every perpetrator i forgave um my parents um even though i mean they did the best they could with what they knew how i forgave every boyfriend every so-called friend and then i got to forgive myself and i actually asked god can you forgive me for like not really um doing well or you know with what i've been given and in that split moment it was like something just lifted and a weight was gone and it was like the slate was wiped clean because um Biblically, bankruptcy, which is biblical, allows people to wipe the slate clean after seven years.
• 18:59
SPEAKER_02: And so that didn't necessarily happen for me in the moment.
• 19:02
SPEAKER_02: But spiritually, emotionally, in like how I viewed myself, the slate was wiped clean.
• 19:10
SPEAKER_02: And I did not like was never from that point forward ever hostage to any inner critic criticism.
• 19:18
SPEAKER_02: conversations of you should have done this.
• 19:21
SPEAKER_02: And how come you did that?
• 19:22
SPEAKER_02: And they're doing it better.
• 19:23
SPEAKER_02: Like, like all of that noise or traffic, it was gone.
• 19:29
SPEAKER_02: And then I could actually hear myself and I could actually hear God, which is said to be the still small voice.
• 19:38
SPEAKER_02: And what I love what you said, Carol, is that, you know, God is a God of multiplication, whereas people, we look at things in addition and subtraction.
• 19:47
SPEAKER_02: Let me give and take, give and take.
• 19:49
SPEAKER_02: But he says, you know, I multiply.
• 19:52
  SPEAKER_02: I've got abundance.
• 19:54
SPEAKER_02: And what the enemy, which is like the enemy of our soul, comes to kill, seek, and destroy, but The Lord came to give us life and life abundantly.
• 20:04
SPEAKER_02: And you can take that in many different forms, but that was really the integral point for me because anything else beyond that was really just about skill.
• 20:16
SPEAKER_02: How can I learn something that I haven't learned before?
• 20:18
SPEAKER_02: Because I didn't give myself the opportunity or the chance to actually play on the field.
• 20:23
SPEAKER_02: I watched everybody else spend the sidelines and discounted myself.
• 20:28
SPEAKER_02: And so I think that when we come from that place of like full acceptance with where we're at then we can we're ready if there's that saying when the student is ready the teacher appears and that led to so many different uh moments where now when the teacher is ready the students appear and that's what's happened with me with coaching wow
• 20:51
  SPEAKER_01: I love that.
• 20:52
  SPEAKER_01: That's beautiful.
• 20:53
SPEAKER_01: I hadn't thought about it in terms of the flip side of when the teacher is ready, the students appear.
• 21:00
SPEAKER_01: And so that's particularly exciting to me right now in this moment in my life.
• 21:07
SPEAKER_01: And I think that it's something where Our own preparation and the forgiveness piece that is so incredibly powerful.
• 21:17
SPEAKER_01: And you know, that's come to me several times recently.
• 21:22
SPEAKER_01: So what that's inviting me to do is take a little deeper journey there and look a little bit deeper.
• 21:29
SPEAKER_01: Because quite a few of us have some form of abandonment or rejection story in our lives.
• 21:37
SPEAKER_01: And that type of drama that's, you know, materialized in different ways.
• 21:42
SPEAKER_01: And it could be something from losing a best friend.
• 21:46
SPEAKER_01: It could be, you know, not just a family member.
• 21:50
SPEAKER_01: It could be, you know, not being a part of an organization anymore that was important to you or whatever form this might manifest in.
• 22:00
SPEAKER_01: I think that's a key point to take a look at where have I experienced this pain in my soul and where can I release this?
• 22:10
SPEAKER_01: And forgiveness is for all.
• 22:12
SPEAKER_01: us it's not for other people it's we like um we don't they don't experience it even if we go we say literally the words and they're living i forgive you they're not experiencing what we're experiencing when we release that so thank you for sharing that
• 22:35
SPEAKER_00: that was powerful but also very deep because i felt I fell and I, it's funny because I had this coaching session recently with a client too.
• 22:43
SPEAKER_00: And I said the same thing.
• 22:44
SPEAKER_00: I said, the first step is in forgiving yourself.
• 22:47
SPEAKER_00: And yet here's, what's coming to me is like, sometimes forgiveness is not easy.
• 22:52
SPEAKER_00: So how, how I'm curious to know how you navigated it, Michelle, because it's like, okay, sure.
• 22:57
  SPEAKER_00: Forgive myself.
• 22:58
SPEAKER_00: And yet there's a lot of resistance around it.
• 23:00
SPEAKER_00: It's almost easier to figure out other people than it is ourselves.
• 23:03
SPEAKER_00: And so I'm curious how you, how you navigate it or how do you help some of your clients that, that may be, find it a little bit harder than it is to go through that.
• 23:14
SPEAKER_00: Because if that's really the step one, it's so important that we're able to really truly go through that process.
• 23:22
SPEAKER_00: And perhaps even for you, it was also to do with your faith journey as well in that.
• 23:27
SPEAKER_00: And did you turn to God in those moments to support you with that and be able to release, right?
• 23:31
SPEAKER_00: Because on the other side of the forgiveness is also safety and our brains wanna keep us safe.
• 23:37
SPEAKER_00: And so- that's a thought that's coming to me.
• 23:39
SPEAKER_00: It's like, well, what if on the other side of forgiveness is also like unfamiliar territory?
• 23:44
SPEAKER_00: We are, we don't know what, we don't know what it's like to even feel forgived.
• 23:48
  SPEAKER_00: Right.
• 23:49
SPEAKER_00: And so we want to stay here in this safe moment.
• 23:51
SPEAKER_00: How do we help ourselves and the listener to be able to go to the other side of that?
• 23:55
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 23:56
SPEAKER_02: I really love that you're bringing this up and, you know, when we seek safety, we seek safety from things that are unknown and, And to me, the way that I look at it is safety comes from a level of trust.
• 24:14
SPEAKER_02: And so when you can trust yourself that both from just a carnal level, meaning like if you are in a boat and it capsizes in the middle of the ocean and you fell into the water, you're not gonna just let yourself drown.
• 24:28
SPEAKER_02: Even though you may not know how to swim, your natural instinct, because you were designed that way would flail and gasp for air.
• 24:36
SPEAKER_02: So you are never willingly a participant of your own demise.
• 24:43
SPEAKER_02: You will want to survive.
• 24:45
SPEAKER_02: And so if that's the case, then you know that you can actually trust yourself at least at that base level to breathe and to grab oxygen and to find a way to stay afloat.
• 24:59
SPEAKER_02: And so then if you could trust yourself there, And then if you can create intentional factors of trusting, then you can trust yourself and create new evidence that I trusted myself and it turned out okay.
• 25:11
SPEAKER_02: Okay, I'm gonna trust myself a little bit more and that turned out okay.
• 25:14
SPEAKER_02: Because we do it with everybody we are surrounded with.
• 25:18
SPEAKER_02: We trust other people more and more and more.
• 25:20
SPEAKER_02: I recently did an exercise where I had assessed the people that I'm friends with in my life and It came down to, all right, this is my circle of trust, my three core ladies.
• 25:36
SPEAKER_02: This is my circle of sisters, like very close to me.
• 25:40
SPEAKER_02: Then I've got my circle of friends and then the circle of influence circle at church.
• 25:47
SPEAKER_02: And I started it out that way only because when you really seek to understand what what makes sense to you and how you operate and how you like to make decisions and the meaning that you add to things.
• 26:04
SPEAKER_02: Because at the end of the day, there is no class one-on-one on Alex or 101 class for Carol.
• 26:13
SPEAKER_02: So through journaling and self-reflection, that's your greatest guide.
• 26:17
SPEAKER_02: So whenever you open up a blank book, it is chocked full of potential possibilities of discovering who you are and how you think and what you believe and who you get to become.
• 26:29
SPEAKER_02: And it's really about the journey of filling it up with such richness that your life manifests that in reality, and then you're living what you've written as you, you know, envisioned it.
• 26:41
SPEAKER_02: And so I think that with a sense of like, oh, do I trust myself?
• 26:49
SPEAKER_02: There's also a little bit of fear, but the thinnest line is between fear and excitement because it's just, you're crossing over this line of possibility and we're always afraid of things that we've never done.
• 27:01
SPEAKER_02: But at the same time, when you realize that there is this fearlessness inside of you that you're getting to know, then you can be bold, you can be courageous, you can take steps because all of us fell forward anyway, unknowingly or unconsciously.
• 27:23
SPEAKER_02: So let's just be consciously failing forward and like link arms and pick each other up and say, okay, cool, you learned that, now let's go ahead and do this.
• 27:32
SPEAKER_02: And so that's what happened for me.
• 27:35
SPEAKER_02: And the forgiveness piece, I'll say the two part tagging on what Carol had mentioned you get to bless and release intentionally.
• 27:44
SPEAKER_02: You can even say, okay, forgive you and I bless you and I release you.
• 27:47
SPEAKER_02: And then for self-forgiveness, there's a point where I think when you walk and believe in God, you ask for him to forgive you just because he knows all, he sees all.
• 28:01
SPEAKER_02: And there's just something from, I'll just call it a heavenly perspective when you really build that kind of relationship, which is just so awesome.
• 28:11
SPEAKER_02: that you can't do no wrong and you'll you're always encouraged just like if you've ever become you know a mom or a dad like there's nothing that your kids can do wrong you will always help them to do better and always help them to be the best and to grow and you know we're no different and um i love that about bringing in the spiritual and faith because we fail forward with faith and it's really our faithfulness that allows us to go beyond what we ever thought could be possible.
• 28:49
SPEAKER_02: And there's beauty in that.
• 28:53
SPEAKER_02: And I think that there's also miracles in that.
• 28:58
SPEAKER_02: I have had so many client stories where these are just God moments that only...
• 29:07
SPEAKER_02: could be because you walk that line of here in the world, doing the math and being competent with your numbers, but then walking supernaturally and going, wow, this never in a million years could that have happened, but the door opened because of favor.
• 29:23
SPEAKER_02: And then you step into this funnel of favor, which I call it.
• 29:26
  SPEAKER_02: And it seems like...
• 29:29
  SPEAKER_02: That's a great name.
• 29:30
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 29:30
  SPEAKER_02: The funnel of favor.
• 29:32
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 29:32
  SPEAKER_02: That no door...
• 29:34
SPEAKER_02: that you're not meant to go through is shut.
• 29:39
SPEAKER_02: You have access to everything that you're meant to go through.
• 29:41
  SPEAKER_02: I
• 29:43
  SPEAKER_00: love that visualization.
• 29:44
SPEAKER_00: I always love visualizing like the doors and things like that.
• 29:47
SPEAKER_00: So here's what's coming to me right now.
• 29:50
SPEAKER_00: You're standing on the edge.
• 29:51
SPEAKER_00: You're standing on the edge of your vision and you see what's possible, but it's also uncomfortable.
• 29:57
SPEAKER_00: It's unfamiliar because up until this point, it's been a lot of, you um, a lot, a lot of fear, right?
• 30:05
SPEAKER_00: Like if that's behind you and you you're given this opportunity and it's uncomfortable and you, there's all that unknown, right?
• 30:13
  SPEAKER_00: There's a, there's a lot of financial unknown, right?
• 30:15
SPEAKER_00: Like how, how do you coach into taking that, trusting yourself and taking the leap that it's all going to work out versus, um, I guess it's kind of like almost coaching yourself through like the responsibility piece.
• 30:29
SPEAKER_00: How do you know what is, I guess, irresponsible in terms of an action even, right?
• 30:34
SPEAKER_00: Because you're taking that leap of faith with that trust, but also I'm being responsible and things like that with decisions like that.
• 30:40
SPEAKER_00: Sometimes it's like going through like the analytical piece also with the faith piece.
• 30:45
SPEAKER_00: How do you navigate those situations?
• 30:47
SPEAKER_02: Oh, I love that question.
• 30:48
SPEAKER_02: So the way that I would answer it is that you need both.
• 30:52
SPEAKER_02: You need the promise of tomorrow, but you also need the numbers today.
• 30:59
SPEAKER_02: And why I love to blend both the financial coaching with the life coaching, and I just am spiritually led anyway, is that then we can get to the mechanics because the numbers don't lie.
• 31:11
  SPEAKER_02: They're neutral.
• 31:12
SPEAKER_02: They give us an understanding of what's happened.
• 31:16
SPEAKER_02: So I go through a methodology with every client where we create full visibility.
• 31:22
SPEAKER_02: Because that's, isn't it funny that we can make so much money and then we can spend it, but we don't even remember where it all went.
• 31:28
SPEAKER_02: And then, but we do know like, where did it all go?
• 31:31
SPEAKER_02: And we do know I actually should have more than what's showing in my bank account.
• 31:36
SPEAKER_02: But it's not like somebody just, you know, stole that money.
• 31:40
SPEAKER_02: I mean, we willingly, but maybe unconsciously, you know, did the spending.
• 31:44
SPEAKER_02: And so this is where in that unpacking, we're seeing 90 days of transactions, categorizing everything, adding in the one-time year expenses, because those hard numbers tell us, all right, well, this is on average what you're spending on Amazon.
• 31:58
SPEAKER_02: This is what you're spending on groceries, on top of food delivery, on top of a meal delivery, on top of going out to a restaurant, on top of your coffee.
• 32:07
SPEAKER_02: And so- Well, no wonder, you know, it's all gone because you chose to spend.
• 32:13
SPEAKER_02: And so when you come from that standpoint, um, which is very, very different than after the fact accounting, which means you're looking at your numbers after you spent it, um, to, um, how would I call it?
• 32:29
SPEAKER_02: Like come up, um, come up with some answers of what to do next.
• 32:36
SPEAKER_02: We're using that data and we're saying, okay, let's just be intentional moving forward and create your budget off of that or your spending plan.
• 32:45
SPEAKER_02: If you don't like the idea of being in a budget.
• 32:47
SPEAKER_02: And so then when you do that, what's so awesome about having it be so black and white and so neutral is that you shake the numbers out, you add them up and it's either going to be more or less than what you're making.
• 33:01
  SPEAKER_02: And that's it.
• 33:02
SPEAKER_02: And if it's more than what you're making, as far as what you're spending, then we know, hey, for a season until you can increase income, because the answer is never, let me just make more money.
• 33:13
SPEAKER_02: Because the more money that you make without this process, the more money you'll just spend in direct proportion.
• 33:19
SPEAKER_02: And so there's gotta be like a rebalancing or like a recalibrating, like you were saying with the airplane, like there is this dashboard where the tools on that dashboard are always recalibrating like the velocity and like the wind and the speed and all of that.
• 33:38
SPEAKER_02: And we do the same thing with our finances so much so that you say, okay, that means I'm gonna trim a little bit here and trim a little bit here.
• 33:48
SPEAKER_02: You come up with a trim plan, but the numbers will show once you shake that plan out that you're actually balanced or you have goal of like 500 leftover, 1,000 leftover, 1,500 leftover.
• 34:02
SPEAKER_02: And that married with strategy allows you to pay off debt so fast because we'll do several different kinds of methods and can multiply your money rather quickly because now you've got a well-oiled machine that we put in place where the numbers work out just like a recipe for cheesecake.
• 34:28
SPEAKER_02: You just follow the recipe and you get what it is that you want at the end.
• 34:32
SPEAKER_02: And what I love about that is then there's ownership in saying, okay, this is what I'm choosing to spend.
• 34:42
SPEAKER_02: Nobody is like, telling you, you can only spend this because that's very limiting, right?
• 34:48
SPEAKER_02: And we don't want that.
• 34:50
SPEAKER_02: You have agency to say, okay, I'm choosing to spend here, here and here, and I'm choosing to trim here, here and here, because I have the actual data to show me that this is the reality of what's happening.
• 35:02
SPEAKER_02: Because now I can see, I mean, try like driving down to, the grocery store in the fog.
• 35:09
SPEAKER_02: You kind of know where it is because you've been there before, but in the fog, you just can't see anything, right?
• 35:14
SPEAKER_02: So we want clarity and visibility.
• 35:16
SPEAKER_02: I think the other part of that is before you make a big decision, like buying a home or an investment property, you run your numbers to see, okay, is this good?
• 35:28
SPEAKER_02: Is this something that makes financial sense?
• 35:32
SPEAKER_02: Because the numbers will show you that it's, on the margin and you really have to be super, um, diligent or, um, yeah, it's perfectly fine.
• 35:43
SPEAKER_02: And you still have got buffer and, you know, it's, it's not a big deal.
• 35:46
SPEAKER_02: I think that when you get to that place where it's not so emotional, you can take the emotions out that there's ease and flow.
• 35:53
  SPEAKER_02: You've created stability.
• 35:55
  SPEAKER_02: You've created security.
• 35:56
SPEAKER_02: You've created actual empowerment because now you have agency to take action on something that you had no clue what was possible.
• 36:05
SPEAKER_02: I think I've helped more than 20 clients buy houses and I'm not even a realtor, but they had the money all along.
• 36:11
SPEAKER_02: It was just going in the wrong places.
• 36:13
SPEAKER_02: So that makes such a difference in that decision-making because there is this correlation between competence, the higher competence you have in a particular area, finances or your career field, that correlates to the level of confidence that you have in that area as well.
• 36:34
  SPEAKER_02: So that's,
• 36:36
  SPEAKER_01: yeah.
• 36:37
SPEAKER_01: Michelle, I have a question in line with that.
• 36:40
SPEAKER_01: Do you work with a lot of people who have steady jobs or entrepreneurs where their cash flow may be more uneven?
• 36:51
SPEAKER_01: And how do you approach a well-oiled machine with an entrepreneur that may not have the consistency that somebody receiving a paycheck has?
• 37:04
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I love that question.
• 37:05
  SPEAKER_02: So here's how I'll answer that.
• 37:07
SPEAKER_02: When you are an entrepreneur, you need to understand your cash flow.
• 37:12
SPEAKER_02: So it's okay to say, well, I don't think I have the cash flow, but that's like leaving it from a standpoint of no strategy around your cash flow.
• 37:21
SPEAKER_02: You just see there's holes and then there's winds.
• 37:25
SPEAKER_02: So it's feast and famine.
• 37:27
SPEAKER_02: But The numbers don't lie.
• 37:29
SPEAKER_02: You know that on average for the year, there's a conservative number that you can count on, whether it happens all in one chunk at the beginning or trickles, you know, often on every other month or once a quarter or whatever the case may be.
• 37:42
SPEAKER_02: So when we clarify that, then we know, and this is why I like averages, average coming in and average going out.
• 37:50
SPEAKER_02: So at least you know that certain things are covered.
• 37:54
SPEAKER_02: And then when you get that cash injection, I have a system where I show you,
• 37:58
  SPEAKER_03: the
• 37:59
SPEAKER_02: cash injection and your consistent expenses because that never changes that will surely always be on a monthly basis and then how that will impact your projected balance for the rest of the year and visually when you can see those numbers you know where you're safe and you know where you're going red and you know when you need that next cash injection if that's the model of your business so that you can stay steady and you can also Give yourself, hey, I want to start this year with this much runway.
• 38:32
SPEAKER_02: So that way I won't ever fall in the red.
• 38:37
SPEAKER_02: Because the hardest thing for entrepreneurs is coming from that place of desperation where you're trying to close a sale and people can smell it a mile away.
• 38:47
SPEAKER_02: People can taste it in the air.
• 38:50
  SPEAKER_02: They really can.
• 38:52
SPEAKER_02: Because there's just something about something in your voice that that like this matters way too much to you, and are you really there to help me and will provide an answer, or are you really just looking for the paycheck?
• 39:06
SPEAKER_02: And I think that from coaching for the last 15 years, I coach anywhere from 800 to a thousand sessions a year, that whoever is hiring you is hiring you from a place of extreme trust and belief that you're the one that will take them to the next level, whatever the case may be in whatever area of life.
• 39:29
SPEAKER_02: And I personally don't take that lightly.
• 39:33
SPEAKER_02: And I don't think anyone that's in that kind of position should.
• 39:38
SPEAKER_02: And to me, it's not about a transactional scenario with the client.
• 39:46
  SPEAKER_02: It's about a relational scenario.
• 39:48
SPEAKER_02: I want to be there 10 years later when you have kids and then your kids need coaching and whatnot, because that's actually been quite fun to do.
• 39:56
SPEAKER_02: I coach sisters, I've coached husbands and wives, and it's quite remarkable.
• 40:02
SPEAKER_02: I think we don't realize from a zoomed out version that the gift that we have of transformation for our clients.
• 40:14
SPEAKER_02: And I think that sometimes we can really get in the weeds of, you know, just making a living instead of impacting lives all around us.
• 40:28
SPEAKER_02: That's my take on that.
• 40:29
  SPEAKER_01: That's really beautiful.
• 40:30
  SPEAKER_01: I love that.
• 40:31
SPEAKER_01: And also when you were speaking about, you know, that well-oiled machine, is it, So you were talking about getting a handle on your numbers, which I also teach.
• 40:46
SPEAKER_01: I teach that through a principle called Pearson's Law.
• 40:49
SPEAKER_01: And what you measure grows, what you measure and report grows exponentially.
• 40:55
SPEAKER_01: And so it's really something that...
• 41:02
SPEAKER_01: How do you help your clients to be able to produce more?
• 41:09
SPEAKER_01: Because I heard you saying that, like, it's not always about cutting back.
• 41:13
  SPEAKER_01: It's about tracking.
• 41:14
SPEAKER_01: It's about being a great resource manager.
• 41:17
SPEAKER_01: But also, is it that that is what's opening up the space for people to be able to create more wealth in their lives?
• 41:30
  SPEAKER_02: I love that question.
• 41:32
  SPEAKER_02: from two angles.
• 41:36
SPEAKER_02: When you think about wealth, you think about it's about making more money, but it's actually not.
• 41:41
SPEAKER_02: Wealth is about being able to create a lifestyle where the money that you're making is being multiplied in some type of vehicle, whether it be real estate or the stock market or intellectual property or whatnot.
• 42:00
SPEAKER_02: where I have a lot of people that I work with who make multiple six figures, over half a million, multiple seven figures,$5 million a year.
• 42:12
SPEAKER_02: And they are not wealthy because in their own handling of finances, they're still living paycheck to paycheck.
• 42:25
  SPEAKER_02: And there's just zeros.
• 42:28
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 42:28
  SPEAKER_02: And- it saddens me.
• 42:32
SPEAKER_02: But then it also brings up opportunity to elevate someone from that money comes and goes, money comes and goes to, I mean, yeah, to money comes and grows.
• 42:46
SPEAKER_02: And I think in that expansion, here's what I've seen.
• 42:50
SPEAKER_02: Belief, ingenuity, and faithfulness was starting with something small and always focused, focusing on profitability.
• 43:03
SPEAKER_02: I think that many times we focus on revenue and we can say these huge numbers, which great because our ego wants to feel, you know, I did 3 million and I did, you know, 5 million, but if your profitability is 11%, that's a
• 43:21
  SPEAKER_01: hard way to make
• 43:22
  SPEAKER_02: it.
• 43:22
  SPEAKER_02: $4,000.
• 43:23
  SPEAKER_02: And you
• 43:24
SPEAKER_01: get 3 million and you brought in 10,000 profit.
• 43:28
  SPEAKER_02: It doesn't make sense.
• 43:29
  SPEAKER_02: It doesn't make sense.
• 43:30
  SPEAKER_02: But it happens.
• 43:32
SPEAKER_02: It happens more often than not, actually.
• 43:35
SPEAKER_02: And that's where when you can trust somebody who understands profitability, then the beauty of that is there is simplification.
• 43:49
  SPEAKER_02: There's ease and flow.
• 43:52
SPEAKER_02: there is shifting the business model and you, I'll say, simplify it to only the parts that's working.
• 44:02
SPEAKER_02: So if you think about a business like a stoplight, there's green, yellow, and red.
• 44:11
SPEAKER_02: I also do this methodology with my time.
• 44:13
SPEAKER_02: It's my stoplight time management methodology.
• 44:16
SPEAKER_02: But really think about your business with the green being what are the income producing results producing activities and that really should be 90 of your business then nine percent is yellow which is like the standstill just um checking your emails and things like that and when you get to true efficiency you have somebody else handling that for you
• 44:39
  SPEAKER_03: yeah
• 44:40
SPEAKER_02: remember i was listening to somebody that um was saying uh he had visited richard branson's blah blah whatever chalet and and he has his assistant i don't remember her name at the moment we'll call her heidi and heidi has been with him for so long and heidi goes through all his emails and does everything and just brings him like the five that only he can address so when you're working at that level of efficiency then you're really dimming down.
• 45:12
SPEAKER_02: What is that yellow time in your life?
• 45:17
SPEAKER_02: It can be in your home because I don't cook anymore.
• 45:20
  SPEAKER_02: I don't do laundry.
• 45:21
  SPEAKER_02: I don't clean.
• 45:22
  SPEAKER_02: I have a house manager.
• 45:23
  SPEAKER_02: I mean, it's lovely.
• 45:24
SPEAKER_02: Everything is folded and put away in my closets and things like that.
• 45:28
SPEAKER_02: And I get to coach, spend time with my husband and spend time with my kids and then go on walks.
• 45:35
SPEAKER_02: And, you know, cause I live near the mountains near Yosemite national forest and it's gorgeous outside.
• 45:40
  SPEAKER_03: And then
• 45:41
  SPEAKER_02: Point nine percent.
• 45:42
SPEAKER_02: So ninety nine and point nine is your red time.
• 45:46
  SPEAKER_02: That's your problem solving.
• 45:47
SPEAKER_02: That's like the stuff where it just feels like it's a time suck.
• 45:52
SPEAKER_02: And, you know, we're going in circles, getting frustrated.
• 45:55
SPEAKER_02: Somebody is gossiping about somebody else.
• 45:57
SPEAKER_02: And this is like, get me out of here.
• 45:59
SPEAKER_02: You know, activity in your business.
• 46:03
SPEAKER_02: And I remember I was coaching a client and he said, I just let go of 80% of my clients because I realized when I looked at my numbers, 20% of my clients was bringing in more than 80% of the revenue.
• 46:15
SPEAKER_02: And now what I've done is I have just found those 20% clients and got more of them.
• 46:21
SPEAKER_02: And I'd multiply my business from a million to 3 million to 4 million and so on.
• 46:26
SPEAKER_02: So much so now that I'm also looking for clients that I'm doing equity shares with.
• 46:30
SPEAKER_02: So now I have a piece of other people's company.
• 46:32
SPEAKER_02: companies not by helping them with the marketing side but now I'm in ownership with other clients that I have in their business and it's a win-win and I think that um when you look at it this way because my coach had shared with me the marginal utility of money what is the price that you will pay to make that next hundred thousand and if that price is too high then you don't do it that There was a year where I took seven weeks of vacation because it didn't make sense to me to still make another$100,000 and not enjoy what I was doing.
• 47:07
  SPEAKER_02: So we were
• 47:07
  SPEAKER_03: in Greece,
• 47:08
  SPEAKER_02: Athens, Corfu, Santorini.
• 47:11
  SPEAKER_02: We went to Paris.
• 47:15
  SPEAKER_02: We were in Israel.
• 47:16
  SPEAKER_02: We were in Normandy.
• 47:21
  SPEAKER_02: It was lovely.
• 47:23
SPEAKER_02: And then I came back refreshed.
• 47:25
SPEAKER_02: and inspired and wanting to see, you know, what more could be possible.
• 47:31
  SPEAKER_02: So.
• 47:33
  SPEAKER_02: That's what I think about that.
• 47:35
  SPEAKER_01: And I think that's so powerful.
• 47:36
SPEAKER_01: You address something the way that I think of it is, am I doing a lot of the$10 an hour jobs rather than the$10,000 an hour jobs or$100,000 an hour jobs?
• 47:51
SPEAKER_01: Where am I getting caught in the weeds?
• 47:54
SPEAKER_01: That delegation is so beautiful and important.
• 47:58
SPEAKER_01: And I really particularly love what you shared at the end about taking the time out to enjoy what you have we don't know if we have tomorrow and I've experienced this now a few times and so it's to me a both and very much a both and in that you know there is the resource management and the efficiency and effectiveness that goes on there but also um I've experienced with one client where she was living in such severe scarcity all the time that she wasn't ever really able to enjoy.
• 48:40
SPEAKER_01: And when she began to step out and be able to enjoy a fulfilling life, her whole world opened up and it was really small baby steps.
• 48:53
SPEAKER_01: But I think that's critical because, you know, we're meant to live abundant, fulfilling lives.
• 49:00
SPEAKER_01: So I appreciate you bringing that out.
• 49:02
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I love that, Carol.
• 49:04
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 49:05
SPEAKER_02: And it doesn't have to be just in finances and work.
• 49:09
SPEAKER_02: I take my clients through this 10 pillar methodology.
• 49:12
SPEAKER_02: Like what does abundance look like in your spiritual life?
• 49:16
SPEAKER_02: Does it look like in your marriage?
• 49:17
SPEAKER_02: What does it look like in your health?
• 49:19
SPEAKER_02: your home with your friends with fun and so when you can get that type of clarity and journal through it i think i'm on journal number 42 since 2005.
• 49:29
SPEAKER_02: i was mentioning about writing all of that that um you literally are designing the life that you know you're meant to be living at a 2.0 level then at a 3.0 level and beyond and beyond i mean we all get to catch up with the iphone because i think we're like iphone 16
• 49:45
  SPEAKER_03: something wild like
• 49:48
  SPEAKER_02: that
• 49:49
SPEAKER_00: Michelle, you shared so much insight with our listener today.
• 49:52
SPEAKER_00: And I'd love to just recap a little bit or just share some of the biggest takeaways or things that you'd invite the listener to really implement today to really support them in having that healing piece and really being able to release that and forgive and then be open to that.
• 50:08
SPEAKER_00: Because that was something that with you and Carol talked about is that it's creating that space, right?
• 50:12
SPEAKER_00: A lot of times if you've got the mask on, if you've got the fear is running the show, we're closed off.
• 50:16
SPEAKER_00: But to really create that space to be open to receive and step into the abundance, right?
• 50:22
SPEAKER_00: Which is very different than probably maybe how many have been operating up until now.
• 50:27
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 50:28
  SPEAKER_00: Well,
• 50:29
SPEAKER_02: I'll say this and I'll get real personal here.
• 50:33
SPEAKER_02: I had an experience last year where I had hope for another child.
• 50:39
SPEAKER_02: I'm a mom of three kids, two boys and a girl.
• 50:42
SPEAKER_02: And I just knew in my heart that I was meant to have one more.
• 50:47
SPEAKER_02: And when I found out that I was pregnant after two miscarriages, it was like this promise to be fulfilled.
• 51:00
SPEAKER_02: And from there, through a series of events, we found out that there is this fatal diagnosis.
• 51:07
SPEAKER_02: And why I'm bringing this up is because we all have hopes and dreams and we all have things that we aspire for.
• 51:14
SPEAKER_02: And whether it's in marriage or business or in our physique or, you know, wanting to be healthy and whatnot.
• 51:27
SPEAKER_02: But there are other things that are just not in our control.
• 51:30
SPEAKER_02: But what we do have available to us is how we respond.
• 51:36
SPEAKER_02: And in response to this news, I had a choice to terminate and I had a miscarriage recently.
• 51:45
SPEAKER_02: two miscarriages in the last three years.
• 51:47
SPEAKER_02: And I also had an abortion at 19.
• 51:50
SPEAKER_02: And being a mom, I realized that I did not want to not meet this little baby, which ended up being a boy.
• 51:59
SPEAKER_02: And I made a choice to do whatever it would take to create the healthiest environment for myself and for my son.
• 52:10
SPEAKER_02: so that I would hope, hope, cross my fingers, actually get to hold him and meet him, even if it was for a few minutes.
• 52:16
SPEAKER_02: And I think that we get challenged with capacity, every single one of us, because the life that we're meant to lead or the business we're meant to lead or the impact we're meant to lead in the tomorrow, the tomorrow possibility requires us to be that tomorrow version of ourselves.
• 52:38
SPEAKER_02: And when you can bridge the gap of realizing I get to show up differently, I can't like, I can't fall back to old ways.
• 52:50
  SPEAKER_02: I can't contract and hide.
• 52:52
SPEAKER_02: I get to live life full out.
• 52:57
SPEAKER_02: And that is a conscious choice with both surrender and trust and faith that I won't let myself fall.
• 53:08
SPEAKER_02: then what opens up for you is a belief and expansion of your vision of who you are.
• 53:16
SPEAKER_02: And through that expansion, then your thinking and your decision-making and your contemplation and reflection of life, even just as a whole and existence begins to expand with you and your trust in something greater than you begins to expand.
• 53:34
SPEAKER_02: And I think that when we're under that type of, um, whether it's tension, trauma, scrutiny, whatever you want to call it, challenge that we're faced with, we either can retreat or we can rise up and you're either going to sink or you're going to swim, but you're in the water.
• 53:56
SPEAKER_02: So what are you going to choose?
• 53:58
SPEAKER_02: And through this experience, I learned how to trust in, ways that were physically impossible in my own human understanding and for work and for family um even sharing every truth what was going on with my at that time seven-year-old um and not wanting to protect her and kind of like keep her in the dark and you know what happened something beautiful she became my biggest advocate my biggest cheerleader i give my biggest um And even to this day encourages me in such beautiful ways because she was able to be brave and strong and joyful and hopeful.
• 54:59
SPEAKER_02: And I think that in our approach of of attempting to like be all that we're meant to be, that the capacity in us has to grow.
• 55:17
SPEAKER_02: And so long story short, or, you know, fast forward to the end, I got to meet my son and then there was a dive after that because of the reality of what I just experienced.
• 55:33
SPEAKER_02: And in reflection from the first quarter of this year, I had to take time to go inward to really ask myself what is important.
• 55:47
SPEAKER_02: And I don't think that many of us do that because I think we live automatically.
• 55:52
SPEAKER_02: I think we get to the supermarket and then we don't remember driving there because we're living on such automaticness, if that's a word.
• 56:01
SPEAKER_02: And so this nuance of intentionality in life who I engage with, who my friends are, what I'm doing on a daily basis, where I want to travel, who I want to work with really became so crystal clear.
• 56:18
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 56:19
SPEAKER_02: So much so that I had this beautiful experience in Maui where I began to write.
• 56:30
SPEAKER_02: And Is it okay if I actually read this?
• 56:33
  SPEAKER_02: Would that be okay?
• 56:34
  SPEAKER_02: Just live?
• 56:35
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 56:36
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 56:36
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 56:36
  SPEAKER_02: We love it, Michelle.
• 56:38
SPEAKER_02: This is just the start.
• 56:40
SPEAKER_02: It's from Lost to Light.
• 56:41
SPEAKER_02: There are moments in life that split us open, moments so profound that they leave an indouble mark on our souls.
• 56:50
SPEAKER_02: Losing my son, Leo, was one of those moments.
• 56:52
SPEAKER_02: It was a grief that lived in my bones, a silence that echoed through every beat of my heart.
• 56:58
SPEAKER_02: I dreamt of holding him, of watching him grow, of whispering words of love into his tiny ears.
• 57:04
SPEAKER_02: But life in its mystery had other plans.
• 57:08
SPEAKER_02: So this book is not just about loss.
• 57:11
SPEAKER_02: It's about what comes after.
• 57:13
SPEAKER_02: It's about honoring the sacred space between goodbye and hello, between heartbreak and hope.
• 57:21
SPEAKER_02: In these pages, I invite you into the most intimate corners of my journey.
• 57:25
SPEAKER_02: From the depths of sorrow to the first spark of light that whispered, try again.
• 57:30
SPEAKER_02: It's about choosing to believe in miracles after mourning, about opening my heart to the possibility of life once more.
• 57:37
SPEAKER_02: It's about the courage to dream of a little girl, Kayani Nala Hope, whose name carries the breeze of new beginnings, the strength of legacy, and the promise of joy.
• 57:49
SPEAKER_02: This is a story for every woman who's ever loved fiercely, grieved deeply, and dared to hope again.
• 57:55
  SPEAKER_02: You are not alone.
• 57:58
SPEAKER_02: We walk this road together, hand in hand, with tears, with tenderness, and with an unshakable belief that even after the storm, the sun always finds its way back.
• 58:11
  SPEAKER_02: Wow.
• 58:13
SPEAKER_02: I share this because I think that we've all suffered loss.
• 58:16
SPEAKER_02: where there was a business that failed, a marriage that failed, a dream that failed, trying for a child that failed.
• 58:26
SPEAKER_02: But I believe that every entrepreneur, if you are really an unleashed, unstoppable entrepreneur, that you find the balance between the heartache and the heart hope of what could be tomorrow.
• 58:44
SPEAKER_02: And I think that when you break these concepts down, ladies, that there's this intersection where, yes, there's a neuroscience, then there's the supernatural, and then there's these stories, these testimonies of people that dare to just push the boundaries of what could be possible, but it's seemingly impossible, and actually can land the plane on the other side.
• 59:15
SPEAKER_02: And so I just say that to give anybody who's listening another go at whatever it is that they've always wanted, because life is not over, and we have many, many, many tomorrows.
• 59:32
SPEAKER_02: It's just a matter of will we give ourselves that next opportunity despite what our emotions are feeling on the inside?
• 59:39
SPEAKER_02: And can we give ourselves that nurturing to be able to be strong again so that we can stand up and walk, taking steps forward, kind of shaky, but then all of a sudden gaining your ground and then running and then eventually flying to something that is like stratospheric and out of this world.
• 1:00:02
SPEAKER_02: So I love looking at that way.
• 1:00:05
SPEAKER_00: What you what really landed for me as you're talking there, Michelle was like, it's possible.
• 1:00:09
SPEAKER_00: You know, it's kind of the question I was asking.
• 1:00:11
SPEAKER_00: And even when it talked about with any of what you're hearing Michelle say today, if you're noticing a bit of resistance and what she's sharing and in your brain is like, no, that's not possible.
• 1:00:19
  SPEAKER_00: That's not for me.
• 1:00:21
SPEAKER_00: I mean, there's something leadership where we say 100% is possible 100% of the time and even just shorten that it's like it.
• 1:00:27
  SPEAKER_00: is possible.
• 1:00:28
SPEAKER_00: So you lean into the possibility, lean into the vision and you get really clear on what's really important to you.
• 1:00:33
SPEAKER_00: I think, as you mentioned, that's what oftentimes is missing, right?
• 1:00:35
SPEAKER_00: We're trying to build up a vision of what everybody else thinks of us, but when you get really quiet and really intimate with what is really important to you, what's, you know, it's possible.
• 1:00:45
  SPEAKER_00: It really is possible.
• 1:00:46
SPEAKER_00: Our brain's default is to go to the how and all that.
• 1:00:49
SPEAKER_00: But if you lean into the possibility, it's funny, Carol and I, an episode.
• 1:00:53
SPEAKER_00: We just recorded an episode before this episode about talking a lot about that actually.
• 1:00:58
SPEAKER_00: And so it's so funny how all these things add up.
• 1:01:00
SPEAKER_00: So we will make sure that we'll have that link below as well so that you can go and listen to that episode and lean into that.
• 1:01:08
SPEAKER_00: But that's my big takeaway of what you shared today, right?
• 1:01:11
SPEAKER_00: In addition to the trust and the surrender and the healing piece and to really forgive yourself is know that 100% is possible 100% of the time.
• 1:01:22
  SPEAKER_00: It is possible.
• 1:01:23
SPEAKER_00: It's possible for you, Michelle.
• 1:01:24
SPEAKER_00: It's possible for you, Carol.
• 1:01:25
SPEAKER_00: I mean, Michelle, you showed me.
• 1:01:26
SPEAKER_00: You showed me that it's possible.
• 1:01:27
SPEAKER_00: And, you know, sometimes we use that borrowed authority, right?
• 1:01:31
  SPEAKER_00: And that's okay.
• 1:01:32
SPEAKER_00: But use that as evidence for our brains at the neuroscience piece to know that it is
• 1:01:37
  SPEAKER_01: possible
• 1:01:38
  SPEAKER_00: for you.
• 1:01:39
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 1:01:40
SPEAKER_00: So thank you, Michelle, so much for being here today.
• 1:01:42
SPEAKER_00: You know, I know you're writing a couple of books right now, right?
• 1:01:46
SPEAKER_00: So I know we'll have all of your links below in the show notes.
• 1:01:50
  SPEAKER_00: This episode is airing.
• 1:01:52
SPEAKER_00: I can try and think when you will.
• 1:01:56
SPEAKER_00: Do you want to share when if you have timelines for your books and then whatever is available, we'll make sure those links are available in the show notes when your episode does air.
• 1:02:04
  SPEAKER_02: Oh, that's so sweet.
• 1:02:05
  SPEAKER_02: Yes.
• 1:02:06
SPEAKER_02: So I was able to write a chapter about my experience with my son.
• 1:02:10
SPEAKER_02: in a book called Faith Unchained.
• 1:02:13
SPEAKER_02: And that is going to go on sale on Amazon next Friday, June 20th.
• 1:02:23
  SPEAKER_02: So Faith Unchained.
• 1:02:26
SPEAKER_02: And there is another book that I'm writing from a financial standpoint called Building Kingdom Wealth, A Godly Guide to Becoming Financially Free.
• 1:02:38
SPEAKER_02: And I just started that project.
• 1:02:42
SPEAKER_02: I'm going to give myself about six to nine months for completion.
• 1:02:46
SPEAKER_02: But then from there, we'll also announce when it's launching.
• 1:02:50
SPEAKER_02: And then what I just read you, it's just starting.
• 1:02:55
SPEAKER_02: It's like just this tiny seed of a story.
• 1:02:58
SPEAKER_02: And to be honest, ladies, because my husband and I are no matter what happens, have peace around the outcome.
• 1:03:07
SPEAKER_02: But I know that the words will penetrate people's hearts and heal certain hurts and help them to walk the step forward that's needed so that they can step into the life that they have hoped for and are promised really.
• 1:03:27
SPEAKER_02: And so, yeah, those are the projects that I'm working on.
• 1:03:31
  SPEAKER_01: I love it.
• 1:03:33
  SPEAKER_01: I love it.
• 1:03:34
SPEAKER_01: Alex Lienitz, thank you for coming on.
• 1:03:37
SPEAKER_01: And thank you for sharing all your wisdom and ways that we can be unleashed and unstoppable.
• 1:03:45
SPEAKER_01: And your writing is That's incredible.
• 1:03:50
SPEAKER_01: I'm still sitting here in tears, very much can relate in my own losses.
• 1:03:58
SPEAKER_01: And it's something that is a treasure when we're providing tools like you're providing to people to live that beautiful abundant life you know that we're meant to have that we're promised to have and so even with in the midst of the pain and the challenges that come along And to be able to set those intentions, to have the vision, to believe in it, to walk in it, to be at that level of it is beautiful wisdom you shared.
• 1:04:41
SPEAKER_01: And I just thank you for
• 1:04:42
  SPEAKER_00: being here.
• 1:04:43
SPEAKER_00: And thanks also to our listener for joining us today and tuning into another episode of Unleashed Helpful Podcast.
