- 0:34Speaker 6: a Kid, Candae Lopez, producer poo. It is time to
- 0:36Speaker 6: wake up on a Wednesday. Candice, how are you it is?
- 0:39Speaker 1: I'm good. I was gonna tell you guys about this
- 0:41Speaker 1: truck that I passed yesterday around town. On the back
- 0:45Speaker 1: of the truck bed it said, I'm a disabled veteran.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Please be patient or pass I'm in pain. And I
- 0:52Speaker 1: saw that and I just thought, oh, my heart just
- 0:55Speaker 1: sunk for this person driving this truck. But it just
- 0:57Speaker 1: reminded me like that saying that they always say, like
- 1:00Speaker 1: everyone's fighting a battle you know nothing.
- 1:02Speaker 3: About, and I thought, so true.
- 1:03Speaker 1: It's so interesting that someone put their battle right out
- 1:06Speaker 1: there for everyone, like, hey, you know, just give me
- 1:08Speaker 1: some grace, you know, be patient with me. If you're
- 1:11Speaker 1: in the area around me. I'm going through a hard time,
- 1:14Speaker 1: and I wish there was something to like do for
- 1:17Speaker 1: that person other than you know, be patient with them
- 1:19Speaker 1: and pass right, you know, slowly around their truck. But
- 1:22Speaker 1: it just made me think, you know, as I'm out
- 1:24Speaker 1: in the world, it's not so heavy this morning.
- 1:26Speaker 6: But I think it's a good reminder. Yeah, it is
- 1:29Speaker 6: a good reminder, and I appreciate that. And I think
- 1:31Speaker 6: it's brave to just throw that out there because I
- 1:34Speaker 6: did do. Hey, thank you for your service and be
- 1:37Speaker 6: you know, I mean, it's not just something that you
- 1:39Speaker 6: do and then you're like, I'm home now and everything's okay,
- 1:42Speaker 6: and it's no. It's like it's a it's a lifelong
- 1:45Speaker 6: decision you make when you serve this country that you
- 1:47Speaker 6: might be fighting some battles and some demons for a
- 1:49Speaker 6: long time.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Yeah. And as I was driving into work today, I
- 1:52Speaker 1: just thought, Man, if we could see everyone's battle, just
- 1:55Speaker 1: like post it right there on our car, yeah, on
- 1:58Speaker 1: our shirt or something like that, maybe we think twice
- 2:00Speaker 1: before we you know, react when things happened to us.
- 2:03Speaker 3: I think you're right day to day, you're right.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Anyways, I just had to tell y'all because that was
- 2:07Speaker 1: so interesting.
- 2:08Speaker 6: I think it's a good reminder you never know what
- 2:10Speaker 6: people are going through, so have a little more patience today.
- 2:13Speaker 6: I thought of that the other day when I was
- 2:14Speaker 6: at the store. Is you know, I love old people,
- 2:18Speaker 6: but they're slow. Yeah, And this woman was walking so
- 2:23Speaker 6: slow in front of me, and my instinct was just
- 2:25Speaker 6: to kind of get around her and be annoyed. And
- 2:27Speaker 6: I'm like, you don't want to take a deep breath, relax,
- 2:31Speaker 6: calm down, And I'm glad I did. And I let
- 2:33Speaker 6: her go because she needed help with the cart because
- 2:37Speaker 6: she was parked in the handicapped spot, and then she
- 2:39Speaker 6: was going to try to get the cart out of
- 2:40Speaker 6: the way and bring it and I'm like, hey, you
- 2:42Speaker 6: want me to grab that for you, and she was
- 2:43Speaker 6: like yeah, but if I want to just slow down
- 2:45Speaker 6: and just waited a second, you know, she'd have been
- 2:48Speaker 6: struggling with that cart totally.
- 2:49Speaker 1: And that's something I don't realize, Like we always talk
- 2:51Speaker 1: about people who don't put their cards back in the
- 2:53Speaker 1: things that I'm like, the handicap spot doesn't have a
- 2:56Speaker 1: cart return next to it, so if you're handicapped taking
- 2:58Speaker 1: your cart, yeah, then you have to walk it all
- 3:00Speaker 1: the way back. And it's like some of those are
- 3:02Speaker 1: just you know, people who just aren't able to return them.
- 3:05Speaker 6: They barely have that energy to get through the store,
- 3:08Speaker 6: much less take then take their car back.
- 3:09Speaker 3: And now if you're.
- 3:10Speaker 6: Abled and you're fine, oh for sure, take your damn
- 3:13Speaker 6: car back.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:14Speaker 6: I hate seeing people not take their car back. Sure
- 3:19Speaker 6: drives me crazy, but either right, okay, well good, you
- 3:21Speaker 6: know it's good reminder. Thank you for the positivity. This
- 3:23Speaker 6: morning came last.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Good morning.
- 3:24Speaker 3: I know where we won't get it, y'all.
- 3:27Speaker 4: I'm always trying to steady do things to uh let
- 3:31Speaker 4: my kids have their own independence.
- 3:33Speaker 3: Yeah, well backfired on me. Yesterday.
- 3:35Speaker 4: I dropped Paul and Brendan off at my boys barbershop.
- 3:38Speaker 4: Pe Lucas shout out and I said, okay, get your haircut.
- 3:42Speaker 4: I'm gonna run down street and I'll come back. Well,
- 3:45Speaker 4: Brendan got his haircut.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Okay. I look at Paul, I'm like, are you gonna
- 3:49Speaker 3: get your haircut? Because I did? I said, what did
- 3:52Speaker 3: you cut? He didn't cut? He looks like like like a.
- 3:55Speaker 6: Brockett, the old guy, and being the old guy, here
- 3:59Speaker 6: we go. Is how they cut their hair. I do
- 4:01Speaker 6: the same thing with my son. Is they just it's
- 4:04Speaker 6: like that fade burst they call it. So it's barely
- 4:06Speaker 6: cut on the that's what they call it. Some I
- 4:09Speaker 6: don't know they call it, but they barely cut the
- 4:11Speaker 6: sides and they let the top just get long. But
- 4:14Speaker 6: it's like a small little fade on the sides and
- 4:17Speaker 6: in the back and that's it. It doesn't look like
- 4:18Speaker 6: they got their haircuts but a super small Are they happy?
- 4:22Speaker 4: Yeah, he was happy, But I'm okay because you.
- 4:25Speaker 6: Paid for what I get it because I was frustrated.
- 4:29Speaker 6: And then I thought to myself, back in the day,
- 4:30Speaker 6: did I get stupid haircuts?
- 4:32Speaker 3: Yes?
- 4:33Speaker 6: Yes, did I come home and my grandpa would always
- 4:35Speaker 6: be like, you didn't even get you didn't even get
- 4:38Speaker 6: your dang haircut, And I'm like, yeah I did.
- 4:40Speaker 3: And he's like, well, what is that anyway? A side spike?
- 4:43Speaker 3: What is that?
- 4:45Speaker 6: But to me, it was cool, and it was cool
- 4:47Speaker 6: back in the day. So I'm like, don't be the
- 4:48Speaker 6: old person. Let them have their trends. A flat top
- 4:51Speaker 6: back in the day.
- 4:53Speaker 3: Get me started on that. You remember when you would
- 4:58Speaker 3: come home with a flattop and what your dad would
- 4:59Speaker 3: sa oh, yeah, he was like, what is that? It
- 5:02Speaker 3: was like a big old eraser.
- 5:04Speaker 6: That's like when I hear, you know, my son like
- 5:07Speaker 6: some of the songs and music he listens to that,
- 5:09Speaker 6: I don't get.
- 5:10Speaker 3: I'm like, don't be that old guy. Hard I know
- 5:13Speaker 3: it is.
- 5:13Speaker 1: I want to understand their music.
- 5:15Speaker 6: Don't be the old guy. That's like, what is that?
- 5:17Speaker 6: Mon day, we listen to real music. Don't be that guy.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Music right now?
- 5:24Speaker 3: It is. No, it's awful.
- 5:25Speaker 6: But I was cracking up because I don't want to
- 5:30Speaker 6: say cracking up. I'm disturbed by something somebody said to
- 5:33Speaker 6: me yesterday.
- 5:34Speaker 3: You ever have.
- 5:35Speaker 6: Somebody say something to you and you're like, it just
- 5:37Speaker 6: lives with you and almost haunts you for a little while.
- 5:40Speaker 6: Somebody in my d MS okay casually said that I
- 5:43Speaker 6: have the situation Jersey Shore energy.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, okay, dirty little secret. I've really never
- 5:52Speaker 1: seen Jersey Shore. You have like the clips that which
- 5:55Speaker 1: I've never watched a full episode.
- 5:58Speaker 3: Tanned Laundry, no wows here.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I hate that for me, but it is what
- 6:04Speaker 1: it is. Yeah, so what does that mean for someone.
- 6:07Speaker 6: Who doesn't That's what bothered me. I don't really know
- 6:09Speaker 6: the guy is like, not the coolest guy. So I
- 6:12Speaker 6: thought to myself, why.
- 6:14Speaker 1: I don't have like that click back hair? No, a
- 6:16Speaker 1: huge chain no.
- 6:17Speaker 3: And I wanted to write back, why why would you
- 6:19Speaker 3: say that?
- 6:20Speaker 5: Right?
- 6:21Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 6:21Speaker 1: What does that mean?
- 6:22Speaker 3: But I don't don't want to hear it.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Exactly. Tell me and then all sugarcat.
- 6:28Speaker 3: Canis on air tell her what you mean.
- 6:30Speaker 6: I'll just send you to her profile because it bothered
- 6:33Speaker 6: me for twenty four hours.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Let's kick off the show right now. Tough Stories on
- 6:38Speaker 3: the Tents with Billy the Kid in the morning only
- 6:40Speaker 3: on the New Mix one O two point nine.
- 6:43Speaker 6: Thank you for starting your day with us, and we
- 6:45Speaker 6: have a ton of stuff going on.
- 6:46Speaker 3: Cannaslow Paz, what's up well?
- 6:47Speaker 1: Flight delays and cancelations are starting to climb at sick
- 6:50Speaker 1: calls from air traffic controllers continue. This is, of course,
- 6:53Speaker 1: due to the government shutdown that started last week. The
- 6:56Speaker 1: FA reported staffing shortages in Chicago, Dashville, Dallas, and Newark.
- 7:02Speaker 1: I guess these you know controllers are continuing to work
- 7:04Speaker 1: without pay into this week. But airports in Dallas and
- 7:08Speaker 1: Chicago did have delays last night around thirty to forty
- 7:11Speaker 1: minutes delays and flights out of Nashville. Those were delayed
- 7:15Speaker 1: an average of two hours yesterday. But this is causing more
- 7:19Speaker 1: than thirty two hundred flights to be delayed all around
- 7:22Speaker 1: the country. So this is starting to back up.
- 7:25Speaker 3: It's only gonna get worse.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean there were no controllers Monday at Burbank
- 7:29Speaker 1: Airport for several hours. That left you know, the airport
- 7:32Speaker 1: to be controlled by pilots themselves, which is you know, alarming.
- 7:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:36Speaker 1: I mean they have a system where they can, you know,
- 7:39Speaker 1: do this and communicate with each other. But that's you know,
- 7:41Speaker 1: not what you want happening.
- 7:43Speaker 3: No, you want them there.
- 7:44Speaker 6: The air traffic controllers there, I keep for getting the
- 7:46Speaker 6: government shut down.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I know, it's a lot. I mean there's over
- 7:50Speaker 1: thirteen thousand controllers who will continue to work without pay
- 7:53Speaker 1: during the shutdown. The union representing these controllers says staffing
- 7:57Speaker 1: shortages are not necessarily a new problem, but the shutdown
- 8:00Speaker 1: is really just bringing those problems, you know, to the
- 8:03Speaker 1: forefront right now. So if you're traveling soon, definitely pay
- 8:06Speaker 1: attention to the status of your flight. Wo Yeah, I
- 8:09Speaker 1: mean thirty forty minutes doesn't seem like a big deal
- 8:11Speaker 1: last night, But we'll see what happens.
- 8:13Speaker 3: I feel like it's just becoming normal to be delayed.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true, that's the problem.
- 8:17Speaker 6: But more importantly, I want these people to get paid
- 8:19Speaker 6: for the job they're doing.
- 8:22Speaker 3: To get paid, right right?
- 8:24Speaker 4: For sure?
- 8:24Speaker 1: Well, guys, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was fine two hundred
- 8:28Speaker 1: and fifty thousand dollars for that gesture he made at
- 8:31Speaker 1: the Jets game Sunday. You actually told me about this
- 8:34Speaker 1: on Monday. So Jerry was in his box when he
- 8:37Speaker 1: you know, flipped the bird then tried to change it
- 8:40Speaker 1: to an index finger. No, he didn't know, he says.
- 8:43Speaker 6: I loved it. I gotta be honest. I thought Jerry
- 8:46Speaker 6: was so cool for doing this.
- 8:48Speaker 1: It wasn't on TV though, right, No.
- 8:50Speaker 3: It wasn't. It wasn't.
- 8:51Speaker 6: I don't know if it was on No, I don't
- 8:52Speaker 6: think it was on broadcast, like on the broadcast, but
- 8:56Speaker 6: somebody caught it on video. And I remember I told
- 8:58Speaker 6: you about it Monday, but it wasn't a bit story.
- 9:00Speaker 3: But I just thought it.
- 9:01Speaker 6: Was funny because Jerry was kind of saying hi to
- 9:03Speaker 6: some people below him, right, you know, and then some
- 9:06Speaker 6: fans Jet fans were turned around talking smack okay, and
- 9:10Speaker 6: he pointed at one guy in particular and then gave
- 9:13Speaker 6: him the number one salute.
- 9:15Speaker 3: You know, and I was just like, good for Jerry.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Well, he claims this was an accident, that he actually
- 9:21Speaker 1: meant to give a thumbs up. This was you know,
- 9:23Speaker 1: supposed to be you know, to the Cowboys fans that
- 9:26Speaker 1: were there. Yeah, he's like, I was celebrating a touchdown.
- 9:29Speaker 1: I meant to give the thumbs up and then pointed.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Then I flashed the wrong finger.
- 9:33Speaker 3: Listen. I mean he's got to say that.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Yeah, it's clear as day, so funny.
- 9:37Speaker 6: Him just going, oh, you know what, what a meme?
- 9:43Speaker 3: What a meme? Oh, I gotta post it. I want
- 9:45Speaker 3: it on a T shirt.
- 9:47Speaker 1: It shouldn't be long before that's on a T shirt.
- 9:49Speaker 1: I mean people would definitely it's just him.
- 9:51Speaker 6: It's just him smiling, looking down with the number one salute.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Oh God, sunglasses.
- 9:56Speaker 3: One's so cool being a gangster. Two hundred and fifty thousand.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Dollars to him, right, I'm hearing he's gonna appeal this,
- 10:03Speaker 1: but I mean why, I guess just to claim that
- 10:07Speaker 1: he was right.
- 10:08Speaker 6: We're going to get out of this talking about this
- 10:10Speaker 6: without the bad Jerry Jones impression from you.
- 10:13Speaker 1: No, I hope not. What do you have to say
- 10:15Speaker 1: for yourself, Jerry?
- 10:16Speaker 6: And when it comes to my fans, I'm sorry, Jerry,
- 10:20Speaker 6: why did you flip them off?
- 10:21Speaker 3: Well? He made me mad, Billy kissed me off. Oh okay,
- 10:25Speaker 3: watch your mouth on this broadcast. I don't pay about
- 10:27Speaker 3: my cowboys. Okay, it's just getting worse. Yeah, you know
- 10:31Speaker 3: what I mean. Like a couple days ago, the impression
- 10:33Speaker 3: was better. We got rid of Michael Parsions.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Because he needs to talk about Micah.
- 10:38Speaker 3: Yeah, we got rid of Michael Parsons and we're doing fine.
- 10:41Speaker 3: Now we're just fine. It's not the same. It's not
- 10:43Speaker 3: the same Monday. Yeah, we need Monday. All was sounding
- 10:48Speaker 3: like a bunch of haters.
- 10:49Speaker 6: Yeah, well, here chake this out. Number one salute find.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Me comes up there real quick, guys. Dolly Parton's sister
- 10:59Speaker 1: worried fan yesterday when she posted on Facebook that she
- 11:02Speaker 1: was up all night praying for her sister. She said,
- 11:04Speaker 1: many of you know she hasn't been feeling her best lately,
- 11:07Speaker 1: and she asked the world to pray. Dolly recently postponed
- 11:10Speaker 1: her Vegas residency from this December to September of next
- 11:14Speaker 1: year because of health concerns, but her sister has now
- 11:17Speaker 1: apologized to fans, saying she didn't mean to scare anyone
- 11:20Speaker 1: or make it sound serious. Dolly's been a little under
- 11:23Speaker 1: the weather and it was nothing more than a little
- 11:25Speaker 1: sister asking for prayers. Uh. That's good news because all
- 11:28Speaker 1: the headlines were like, ah, we're supposed to pray for Dolly,
- 11:31Speaker 1: and immediately we just think, oh the worst.
- 11:33Speaker 3: Even I did when I came in this morning, I go,
- 11:35Speaker 3: hope Dolly's okay.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, sounds like she's okay. I don't know what
- 11:38Speaker 1: the severity of this health concern is. It doesn't sound
- 11:41Speaker 1: as dramatic as we all thought. But Dolly's so funny though.
- 11:45Speaker 1: She you know, her last post about her health before
- 11:47Speaker 1: this said, it must be time for my one hundred
- 11:49Speaker 1: thousand mile checkup.
- 11:50Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, she's the best.
- 11:52Speaker 1: She is so funny. But she is seventy nine, so
- 11:55Speaker 1: you know, I don't know what this is about, but
- 11:57Speaker 1: I'll definitely keep.
- 11:58Speaker 3: You she looks great for seventy nine.
- 12:00Speaker 1: Well, I mean it's a lot of plastic surgery.
- 12:02Speaker 3: She said too.
- 12:02Speaker 1: You know this wasn't the usual trip to the plastic surgeon.
- 12:05Speaker 6: She's not scared to say it either. Fine, whatever makes
- 12:08Speaker 6: you happy, But I mean.
- 12:09Speaker 3: At least she has good plastic surgery.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a good point for the most part, because
- 12:14Speaker 1: I know, yeah, I mean there's person but.
- 12:16Speaker 6: No neither, but there's some bad plastic surgery. Oh yeah,
- 12:19Speaker 6: have you seen Chris generally? Yes, it looked like Kim Kardashian.
- 12:24Speaker 1: I mean, that's good work right there.
- 12:26Speaker 6: Kim Chris walked into this event and I said, wow,
- 12:29Speaker 6: Kim cut her hair.
- 12:31Speaker 3: She looked like she had a head transplant.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Like the whole face is Brandon.
- 12:35Speaker 6: Why can't I be rich? I want to come in
- 12:37Speaker 6: tomorrow looking like Brad pitt.
- 12:41Speaker 1: Terod.
- 12:41Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm probably impossible, but with the right doctors, I
- 12:43Speaker 6: could reverse this aging.
- 12:45Speaker 3: Yeah, but not with my budget.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Just put cucumbers on your eyes today, all right? I'm
- 12:51Speaker 1: Kana Slopez. Those are your Texas hop story now real.
- 12:54Speaker 6: Or fake news? They can be three headlines and you
- 12:56Speaker 6: gotta tell me which one is fake. And it's just
- 12:58Speaker 6: a fun way to talk about ridiculous story where he's
- 13:00Speaker 6: going on in the world. Are you ready and is
- 13:03Speaker 6: you ready, pooh, You're ready? Yes one last time, Candas Yeah,
- 13:06Speaker 6: Candas one Okay. Headline number one Ultra Marathon involves running
- 13:11Speaker 6: a fifty k and eating Taco Bell nine times. Ultra
- 13:16Speaker 6: Marathon involves running a fifty k and eating Taco Bell
- 13:21Speaker 6: nine times.
- 13:22Speaker 3: Headline number one.
- 13:23Speaker 6: Headline number two contest offers thrill seekers five thousand dollars
- 13:28Speaker 6: to hunt ghost at a haunted Vegas hotel. Contest offers
- 13:34Speaker 6: thrill seekers five k to hunt ghosts at a haunted
- 13:37Speaker 6: Vegas hotel.
- 13:38Speaker 3: Headline number two.
- 13:39Speaker 6: Headline number three Long John Silver's reinventing themselves and changing
- 13:44Speaker 6: logo to a fish emoji. Long John Silver's reinventing themselves
- 13:50Speaker 6: and changing logo to a phish emoji. That is headline
- 13:54Speaker 6: at number three. Three headlines one is fake. Gotta tell
- 13:58Speaker 6: me which one is fake? Candas Lopez. Would you like
- 14:00Speaker 6: to go first?
- 14:01Speaker 1: I'll pass it today since I won yesterday.
- 14:03Speaker 4: Okay, Okay, I'm gonna go with that last story Long
- 14:07Speaker 4: John Silvers.
- 14:08Speaker 3: You know I'm a foodie. I would know something about that.
- 14:10Speaker 6: You Yeah, you don't think they're changing their logo? No,
- 14:13Speaker 6: you don't think You don't think they're reinventing themselves.
- 14:16Speaker 4: They might be reinventing themselves, but no, not no fishing moment,
- 14:20Speaker 4: pulling a cracker barrel on it.
- 14:21Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, they've been not take away. What's their logo now?
- 14:24Speaker 3: Isn't like the pirate guy? No, I don't know. No,
- 14:28Speaker 3: it's just a ship. I think. I haven't been to
- 14:30Speaker 3: a Long John Silver since the eighties. Yeah, let's lock
- 14:34Speaker 3: that in.

- 15:13Speaker 3: What a chicken? I don't get it.
- 15:15Speaker 6: Yeah, it's a chicken. It's a chicken, like just a
- 15:19Speaker 6: picture of a chicken.
- 15:20Speaker 3: And it says chicken and seafood.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Oh interesting, do you see it? I'm looking for it.
- 15:26Speaker 3: It's kind of weird, right, Yeah.
- 15:28Speaker 1: What in the world they do though?
- 15:30Speaker 3: But it makes sense, Like, who's going to Long John Silvers.

- 15:49Speaker 1: Off the fish.
- 15:52Speaker 3: Stop lying.
- 15:54Speaker 1: You.
- 15:55Speaker 3: You can really go up to the drive through and

- 16:12Speaker 3: I know the girl used to put it in their soup.
- 16:14Speaker 3: Oh that's so, of course you do right now.
- 16:21Speaker 1: He's not talking about me, But I love some crispies.
- 16:24Speaker 6: Hey, baby, can you go up to Long John Stowers

- 17:00Speaker 6: there's this hotel called the l Cortes that open back
- 17:03Speaker 6: in like nineteen forty one. Everybody says it's haunted. They're saying, hey,

- 17:16Speaker 6: You'll have to have the capture evidence in photos or
- 17:19Speaker 6: videos of anything spooky. Report your findings, whether it's funny

- 17:27Speaker 6: five grand. That's easy money.
- 17:29Speaker 3: Did you do that?
- 17:30Speaker 6: If something was really haunted? Would you go in and
- 17:31Speaker 6: spend a weekend and haunted hotel for five K.
- 17:33Speaker 1: I don't know about that.
- 17:35Speaker 3: Yeah, it depends on what.
- 17:36Speaker 6: Kind of ghost it is. If it's like a chill ghost,
- 17:39Speaker 6: well how do they know.
- 17:40Speaker 3: I don't know. We'll have to find out.
- 17:41Speaker 6: But if it's like the rumor is, you know, there's
- 17:43Speaker 6: a lot of haunted places here in Dallas and for Worth. Yeah,
- 17:46Speaker 6: some of these places they say are like friendly ghosts,
- 17:49Speaker 6: like the spaghetti warehouse in deep Ellum.
- 17:51Speaker 1: That one's friendly.
- 17:52Speaker 6: Not deep Elm West End. Yeah, they say that's haunted,
- 17:54Speaker 6: but they say it's like a chill ghost.
- 17:56Speaker 1: Oh that's probably why they always took us there on
- 17:58Speaker 1: field trips.
- 18:00Speaker 6: Yeah, it was just like, oh, what's up, I'm a
- 18:02Speaker 6: haunt you but we're cool. You know, We're not like
- 18:04Speaker 6: gonna do anything creepy. I'll go hunt that ghost and
- 18:06Speaker 6: spaghetti warehouse, but I'm not going to the one, you know,
- 18:09Speaker 6: I don't know the one. Yes, that the Vegas one.
- 18:11Speaker 6: It's like super sketch. Yeah, okay. Ultra Marathon involves running
- 18:17Speaker 6: a fifty k and eating taco bell nine times along
- 18:19Speaker 6: the way.
- 18:21Speaker 3: This is happening and happens in multiple places around the US.
- 18:25Speaker 6: Really, Denver is gonna host it next where there's a
- 18:27Speaker 6: fifty k It's an ultra marathon that combines running thirty
- 18:31Speaker 6: one miles and eating taco bell nine times along the way.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Oh wow.
- 18:37Speaker 6: Basically, what you have to do is the first stop,
- 18:39Speaker 6: I guess you have to eat like a certain thing.
- 18:43Speaker 6: You have to do it on each stop, and then
- 18:44Speaker 6: by the fourth stop, like on the second stop you
- 18:46Speaker 6: got to eat a chiloupa. Oh well, and then on
- 18:48Speaker 6: the third stop you have to eat like nachos, And
- 18:51Speaker 6: then by the fourth stop you have to eat a
- 18:53Speaker 6: chiloupa supreme or crunch wrap supreme. By the time you
- 18:57Speaker 6: get up to the ninth or you know, eighth or ninth,
- 19:00Speaker 6: you're eating like a burrito too. Burritos. You have to
- 19:03Speaker 6: keep eating. And if you don't have proof that you
- 19:05Speaker 6: you know ate this, yeah, then you will get disqualified.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Huh.
- 19:09Speaker 3: Can you imagine trying to run thirty one miles?
- 19:12Speaker 6: Yeah it sounds awful, well, eating taco bell sounds awful without.
- 19:16Speaker 1: The taco bell, but yeah, even worse.
- 19:18Speaker 3: On your mark gets set, get it.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Off your chest, Promise you'll feel better. Welcome to the
- 19:27Speaker 1: Dirty Little Secret.
- 19:27Speaker 6: Here we go. Dirty Little Secret is on then New
- 19:29Speaker 6: Mix one on two point nine, it's bailing a kid.
- 19:31Speaker 3: Candas long Pets producer. Who is here your secrets?
- 19:33Speaker 6: Confess anytime you want you get call us. You could
- 19:37Speaker 6: DM me at Billy on the radio.
- 19:39Speaker 3: Whatever.
- 19:40Speaker 6: You can dm Candas if you want to add Candis
- 19:42Speaker 6: on air, if you want to talk to her and
- 19:43Speaker 6: set up the secret.
- 19:44Speaker 3: Let's just make it happen.
- 19:46Speaker 6: Now you have one that you just want to you
- 19:48Speaker 6: just gotta get it off your chest.
- 19:49Speaker 7: Or yes, I definitely need to get this out. I
- 19:52Speaker 7: just hate my son's teacher. I know this sounds so bid.
- 19:56Speaker 3: You hate your son's teacher.
- 19:58Speaker 7: Yes, yes, she's a a beautiful woman. She's a great teacher,
- 20:02Speaker 7: but she's the kids are in fourth grade and they're
- 20:05Speaker 7: very impressionable at this age.
- 20:07Speaker 3: Sure, so you have to be careful.
- 20:09Speaker 7: You know. And so I think she's the worst. I
- 20:11Speaker 7: have to plan on multiple times. First and foremost just
- 20:14Speaker 7: because of the way she dresses.
- 20:17Speaker 3: Oh, all the way she dresses. How does she dress?
- 20:22Speaker 7: Well, she kind of you know, she's very curvy. She's
- 20:26Speaker 7: well endowed in the chest area, and so she wears
- 20:29Speaker 7: very tight clothes. She's not showing cleavage, but sometimes she
- 20:33Speaker 7: can show a little you know, you know, with a
- 20:36Speaker 7: big backside. You know, sometime you might bend over and
- 20:40Speaker 7: you might see a little crackish you know. It is
- 20:49Speaker 7: only fourth grade.
- 20:49Speaker 6: So okay, so it's fourth grade. She's wearing Okay, now
- 20:54Speaker 6: she's wearing tight. So you're saying the clothes are too tight?
- 20:57Speaker 7: Yes, yes, and sometimes you know, correct me pop out.
- 21:02Speaker 6: Well that happens here too with pooh. So but I
- 21:06Speaker 6: get that it's uncomfortable. Wow, So yeah, what do you
- 21:11Speaker 6: do when it comes to something like that? So, so
- 21:14Speaker 6: it's what kind of clothes is it?
- 21:16Speaker 3: Is it sweaters? Is it like shirts?
- 21:18Speaker 1: Is it low cut pants?
- 21:20Speaker 7: Like, it's the tightest sweaters ever you ever sing? So
- 21:23Speaker 7: they so tight they look like a shirt. So it's
- 21:26Speaker 7: a it's a sweater that's just really tight on her
- 21:28Speaker 7: tight pants, you know, and you know, like I said,
- 21:32Speaker 7: she's not showing the cleavage, well not all the time.
- 21:35Speaker 7: Sometimes sometimes it could pop out, is it?
- 21:38Speaker 6: And I say this because I know women like this, Like,
- 21:42Speaker 6: for example, there's certain women who can wear yoga pants
- 21:47Speaker 6: and they're just yoga pants. Then there's certain then there's
- 21:51Speaker 6: women who wear yoga pants with a certain body type and.
- 22:00Speaker 7: Yoga pants, And that's what I'm That's what I'm saying. Sometimes,
- 22:03Speaker 7: you know how workout clothes sometime can slip down a
- 22:06Speaker 7: little bit, you know, So she got a bend over
- 22:08Speaker 7: a move. She wears yoga pants. It's funny you said that,
- 22:12Speaker 7: because you know it might blend into a work outfit
- 22:15Speaker 7: if you wear the right shirt. But sometimes she's wearing
- 22:18Speaker 7: every single curve and crack, if you know what I mean.
- 22:21Speaker 7: It's just too much for the fourth grade. I told
- 22:24Speaker 7: you my son is a way, so you know they're
- 22:27Speaker 7: so very you know, at.
- 22:28Speaker 6: This age, you complain to you complain to the school.
- 22:32Speaker 6: I guess what does anything happen when you've complained before?
- 22:35Speaker 7: No, I keep I continue to complain multiple times, and
- 22:39Speaker 7: you know, I guess maybe I'm the only mother of
- 22:42Speaker 7: something that's coming because I know the fathers are dropping
- 22:44Speaker 7: by and they just love the teacher.
- 22:47Speaker 4: I was going to ask what school it was, just
- 22:50Speaker 4: to stop, just you know, for show purposes.
- 22:54Speaker 3: Yeah, just go check it out and see what the
- 22:56Speaker 3: problem is.
- 22:57Speaker 1: What's the dress code for teacher?
- 22:58Speaker 6: I don't know that's a good question. So she's not
- 23:00Speaker 6: obviously not breaking dress code.
- 23:02Speaker 7: Yeah, she's not technically breaking dress code, but it doesn't
- 23:06Speaker 7: say anything in the dress code about I guess tight clothes.
- 23:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I wonder if the kids ever say anything or right.
- 23:13Speaker 3: Has your son does your well? Does your son like her?
- 23:16Speaker 7: I mean, yeah, he doesn't know any better. Yeah, he
- 23:18Speaker 7: likes her. She's a she's a great teacher. You know,
- 23:21Speaker 7: I don't. I don't know if he's so much like
- 23:24Speaker 7: drew it all over her like the dad. You know,
- 23:26Speaker 7: he probably see and they like.
- 23:28Speaker 4: Okay, so the kids like her, so he's passing her class.
- 23:32Speaker 6: You just said she's a good teacher. I'm not gonna
- 23:36Speaker 6: I'm not saying this. I think some people, let me
- 23:38Speaker 6: say this, I think some people might say that you
- 23:41Speaker 6: sound jealous. I'm not saying that you are, but I
- 23:46Speaker 6: think if I check my DM, no crack is why.
- 23:49Speaker 3: I mean, I get that, but how you do kind
- 23:52Speaker 3: of sound like I.
- 23:53Speaker 7: Hate my good Oh god, I'm not jealous at all.
- 23:58Speaker 7: I'm a beautiful woman myself, and you know I have
- 24:00Speaker 7: curves and everything. But I don't have to dress like that,
- 24:03Speaker 7: you know. I don't just like that to work. I'm
- 24:06Speaker 7: not teaching kids, but I try to be appropriate because
- 24:09Speaker 7: I work around a lot of men. I don't want
- 24:11Speaker 7: to be given off the wrong vibe. So that's all
- 24:13Speaker 7: I'm saying. As far as my teachers, so.
- 24:15Speaker 6: You think, yeah, I'm sure you are beautiful, but so
- 24:18Speaker 6: you think it's you think this is distracting and at
- 24:20Speaker 6: the end of the day, it's going to be a
- 24:22Speaker 6: problem with the kids. So you trying to just fix
- 24:25Speaker 6: it before it becomes a bigger issue. Even if she
- 24:28Speaker 6: is a good teacher.
- 24:28Speaker 7: You said, yes, exactly.
- 24:31Speaker 3: I mean, teachers don't make that much money. Maybe she
- 24:33Speaker 3: can't afford Oh she can't afford scizes. It fit her
- 24:36Speaker 3: better clothes. I mean, you never know.
- 24:38Speaker 7: We have thrift stores, good Wills, it's stuff where you
- 24:41Speaker 7: can get cheaper clothes. She mood.
- 24:45Speaker 3: You know she ordered something from TMU and Trump. That's
- 24:48Speaker 3: the problem. That's what it is. Thank you.
- 24:55Speaker 6: It's tough because it sounds dirty. I'm like, I want
- 24:58Speaker 6: to see a picture. I don't want to see a
- 24:59Speaker 6: picture like that, but I want to get in.
- 25:01Speaker 3: I wish I had an idea.
- 25:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel like I have an idea.
- 25:04Speaker 6: You do, so, candas your vibe in your head, do
- 25:06Speaker 6: you think this is someone who's intentionally dressing promiscuous or
- 25:10Speaker 6: do you think it's someone who's just wearing or someone
- 25:13Speaker 6: who has a body that's curvy is just.
- 25:15Speaker 1: Really comfortable in her body, you know, because I see
- 25:18Speaker 1: some women, I'm like, man, I wish I could wear that,
- 25:21Speaker 1: but like, I know, we have completely different body types, right,
- 25:24Speaker 1: and they're just comfortable in their shape.
- 25:27Speaker 6: I picture a woman who's really curvy who wears things
- 25:30Speaker 6: that other women wear, but.
- 25:31Speaker 3: It looks different on her. Yes, exactly, Okay. Should people
- 25:34Speaker 3: dress appropriately to their body type.
- 25:36Speaker 1: I mean there's not one time I've gone out in
- 25:38Speaker 1: my crack shown accidentally.
- 25:40Speaker 3: I can't. I can't say the same.
- 25:42Speaker 1: So it's like you have to know when that's happening something.
- 25:46Speaker 3: Sometimes when you've been down, it just it might just
- 25:48Speaker 3: pop it out.
- 25:49Speaker 6: I've no, I've never I've known Cannas for twenty five years,
- 25:52Speaker 6: a little bit.
- 25:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I've never seen Cannas accidentally show crack, well not canvas.
- 25:56Speaker 3: But I mean, Kannas is not a bigger girl, you know,
- 25:59Speaker 3: no like me. Sometimes we're not talking about you. I've
- 26:03Speaker 3: been down. Sometimes you'd be like, oh, dude, I know
- 26:06Speaker 3: it is harder.
- 26:07Speaker 1: For different people to find clothes that fit the.
- 26:09Speaker 3: Same, and maybe that's her case, but that yeah.
- 26:12Speaker 1: And that's something I've never experienced.
- 26:13Speaker 3: I just think, at.
- 26:14Speaker 6: Kids this age, if they're not noticing or complaining, I
- 26:17Speaker 6: don't know if we should worry about it that much,
- 26:18Speaker 6: but I'm not.
- 26:19Speaker 3: I also see where you're coming from.
- 26:21Speaker 1: I mean I definitely hit the group chat of moms
- 26:23Speaker 1: and be like, yeah, just to see if anyone else
- 26:25Speaker 1: is considered this. Yeah, and then you'll know.
- 26:27Speaker 6: I can't believe it's crack like that's you know what
- 26:30Speaker 6: I mean. Usually it's like cleavage, but just crack. Yeah,
- 26:33Speaker 6: I mean fourth grade crack hikes lot those low rise pants. Yeah,
- 26:39Speaker 6: I'm trying to, like, you know, learn about social studies
- 26:41Speaker 6: and geography and all of a sudden, yeah, crack, step
- 26:45Speaker 6: on it.
- 26:45Speaker 3: Yeah, don't break your mother's back.
- 26:48Speaker 1: The kids say, step on a crack.
- 26:49Speaker 6: Break your mother's back, Well, thank you so much, good
- 26:53Speaker 6: luck and let us know what happens if I mean
- 26:55Speaker 6: they end up doing anything with her, you confront or
- 26:58Speaker 6: say something.
- 26:58Speaker 3: I'd love to know about it and follow up.
- 27:00Speaker 7: I definitely will thank you guys for hearing me out.
- 27:02Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 27:02Speaker 3: Absolutely, Teachers dressing like that.
- 27:04Speaker 1: In twenty twenty five, I never see that.
- 27:06Speaker 3: Look at why can't I do that? Monday? I learn
- 27:11Speaker 3: way more tough stories on the Tents with Billy's a
- 27:15Speaker 3: Kid in the Morning only on the new Mix one
- 27:18Speaker 3: O two point nine.
- 27:19Speaker 6: It's gonna beautiful sunrise, Cannis. You know I'm a sucker
- 27:22Speaker 6: for sunrise And let's go out there, Candislow Pez. What
- 27:25Speaker 6: do we got going on?
- 27:26Speaker 7: Well?
- 27:26Speaker 1: Health alert was just issued for popular ready to eat meals.
- 27:29Speaker 1: The USDA says some Hello Fresh meals could be contaminated
- 27:33Speaker 1: with listeria. So this is for their ready to eat
- 27:36Speaker 1: meals that have spinach uh, specifically the cheesy pulled pork
- 27:40Speaker 1: pepper pasta and unstuffed peppers with ground turkey. They do
- 27:44Speaker 1: expect more affected products to be identified soon, So just
- 27:47Speaker 1: a heads up, give me that that's in your fridge.
- 27:50Speaker 1: It sounds great, I know, right, just without the listeria.
- 27:53Speaker 3: I'll take it a little asteria. We grew up eating listeria? Yeah?
- 27:57Speaker 5: Did we?
- 27:57Speaker 1: No?
- 27:58Speaker 3: I feel like we did. I feel like we ate
- 27:59Speaker 3: a lot of stuff.
- 28:00Speaker 6: I feel like That's why if you grew up in
- 28:01Speaker 6: the eighties and nineties, we have just like steel stomachs,
- 28:05Speaker 6: you know what I mean. We can eat whatever we
- 28:07Speaker 6: drank out of the water hose out of the side
- 28:08Speaker 6: of the house. That was just pure melted plastic.
- 28:11Speaker 1: Oh, we didn't even think about it. It was just
- 28:13Speaker 1: a source of water and it was fine.
- 28:15Speaker 3: Like it was hot. This tastes like rubber.
- 28:17Speaker 6: The first twenty seconds of that water was boiling hot water.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Yeah, go for sure. Why did we do this? We
- 28:24Speaker 1: built different, We are we are well guys. A new
- 28:27Speaker 1: look at Google trends data from around the country has
- 28:30Speaker 1: a list of the most popular diner chains in America.
- 28:34Speaker 1: I know you love a good list, and I'll share
- 28:37Speaker 1: the top five with you. Okay, okay, So the most
- 28:40Speaker 1: popular in four states at number five was waffle House.
- 28:44Speaker 3: Oh okay, waffle House. Yeah okay, I'm glad.
- 28:49Speaker 1: It's in the top five. That I thought it would
- 28:50Speaker 1: be higher than five.
- 28:51Speaker 3: No, no, come on, let's not get aggressive.
- 28:54Speaker 1: Are you serious? Yeah, I don't think it should be
- 28:56Speaker 1: higher than five on the list.
- 28:58Speaker 3: I think five is appropriate. Oh okay, you're a hater.
- 29:01Speaker 3: What at least the top five is great?
- 29:04Speaker 1: It's good. Okay, let me hear the other At least
- 29:06Speaker 1: in the top three. Number four was Denny's.
- 29:08Speaker 3: Denny's Yeah, okay, I like Denny's.
- 29:10Speaker 1: The solid choice, and I don't know about this one.
- 29:13Speaker 1: Number three was Perkins Restaurant and Bakery. Do we have
- 29:16Speaker 1: that here? Because I've never seen that somewhere else that
- 29:19Speaker 1: it's popular.
- 29:20Speaker 3: I've seen them before, but I don't know if I've
- 29:22Speaker 3: ever eaten there.
- 29:23Speaker 1: Okay, I've never heard of this one either. Number two
- 29:25Speaker 1: was First Watch.
- 29:27Speaker 3: Oh, first Watch is great. First Watch.
- 29:30Speaker 6: Yes, they just built the First Watch, brand new one
- 29:32Speaker 6: over by my house in Plano.
- 29:34Speaker 3: I think it's Plano. It's Carrollton, Plano, border On Park. Okay,
- 29:38Speaker 3: it's so good. You've never had it?
- 29:40Speaker 1: No, I don't think I've eve never seen it.
- 29:42Speaker 6: It's right up your alley. You would love it like
- 29:43Speaker 6: I love the French toasts, just healthy avocado toast vibe.
- 29:48Speaker 1: Oh, first Watch, what's up?
- 29:50Speaker 3: You would like it?
- 29:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm speaking my language. There in America's favorite diner.
- 29:55Speaker 1: It was number one in seventeen states.
- 29:58Speaker 3: I hop ooh, okay.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Mixed opinions over here.
- 30:02Speaker 6: I like I hop no I to I know a
- 30:05Speaker 6: lot of people hate on like chain restaurants. I like
- 30:07Speaker 6: chain restaurants. I think waffle House was good at number five.
- 30:10Speaker 6: Really well, I would put it over Perkins because I've
- 30:12Speaker 6: never eaten at.
- 30:12Speaker 1: Perkins well, saying, but I would put waffle House over
- 30:14Speaker 1: First Watch because I've never been to First Watch or
- 30:16Speaker 1: heard of First Watch.
- 30:18Speaker 3: Waffle House over I but Kenni's.
- 30:20Speaker 6: You're also different because you are one of the few
- 30:23Speaker 6: people I know that.
- 30:24Speaker 3: Eat waffle House sober so for sure. Yeah, you're a
- 30:28Speaker 3: rare breed.
- 30:29Speaker 1: I went to Valentine's Day dinner there a couple of
- 30:31Speaker 1: years in a row because that's Enzo's favorite, and Eric
- 30:33Speaker 1: was out of town. Right, that's so yeah, I said,
- 30:36Speaker 1: will you take me on a Valentine's Day date? Where
- 30:38Speaker 1: do you want to take me? Waffle House?
- 30:40Speaker 6: That's adorable? Yeah, who eats there a lot too? So yeah,
- 30:44Speaker 6: is there one right by your house?
- 30:46Speaker 3: Right down literally right down the street. Did you used
- 30:49Speaker 3: to work at waffle House?
- 30:50Speaker 6: No?
- 30:50Speaker 1: I never worked with any of those diners in the
- 30:53Speaker 1: top five. No, like you're more of a Denny's worker
- 30:57Speaker 1: for some reason.
- 30:58Speaker 3: More of a Moon's over my Hammi guy exactly.
- 31:02Speaker 1: Well, guys. Taylor Swift was asked how she's coping with
- 31:05Speaker 1: all the different reactions people have had on her new album.
- 31:08Speaker 1: I just want you to listen to her reaction and
- 31:11Speaker 1: what she had to say here.
- 31:12Speaker 3: I welcome the chaos.
- 31:13Speaker 8: The rule of show business is if it's the first
- 31:16Speaker 8: week of my album release and you are saying either
- 31:19Speaker 8: my name or my album title, you're helping.
- 31:23Speaker 1: And art.
- 31:24Speaker 8: I have a lot of respect for people's subjective opinions
- 31:28Speaker 8: on art.
- 31:29Speaker 1: I'm not the art. Glease, Okay, wow, look at her.
- 31:33Speaker 6: She's like, if you're talking about me, if I'm in
- 31:34Speaker 6: your mouth, if I'm in your you know, your head,
- 31:37Speaker 6: and you're hey, that's promotion. And yeah, she's right, but
- 31:40Speaker 6: this is right. This is a little bit of a
- 31:41Speaker 6: different tailor. And I'm not saying it's a bad thing,
- 31:44Speaker 6: but usually she just it's less is more. Yep. I
- 31:47Speaker 6: feel like she's talking a lot, Like she's talking a
- 31:49Speaker 6: lot swagged to her.
- 31:51Speaker 1: Yeah, like if Taylor Swift was ever spicy, Like, that's
- 31:54Speaker 1: her being spicy to me. And I don't know if
- 31:56Speaker 1: I like it necessarily it's good for her. And like
- 31:59Speaker 1: she's thirty five now and she's you know, changing. We
- 32:02Speaker 1: change and grow a lot in our you know, mid
- 32:04Speaker 1: thirties into our forties and feel a different level of confidence.
- 32:07Speaker 3: Do you think it has anything to do with Travis?
- 32:09Speaker 1: I do I feel like he's rubbing off on her.
- 32:11Speaker 6: Which is not necessarily an awful thing, but it's a
- 32:14Speaker 6: different thing. Like I think the Taylor vibe I get
- 32:17Speaker 6: now is like he's hyping her up.
- 32:20Speaker 3: Yeah, he's like.
- 32:21Speaker 6: Listen, you're a battie. You do what you gotta do, Taylor.
- 32:24Speaker 6: You run the world. You go out there and you
- 32:27Speaker 6: tell him if you're talking about me, that I'm winning.
- 32:29Speaker 1: Yeah, which it's true. And I just love her low
- 32:32Speaker 1: key like flex vibe that she's always had, like, yeah,
- 32:35Speaker 1: I hop the world and private jets. It's all good.
- 32:37Speaker 1: But he's very flashy to me.
- 32:39Speaker 3: I do like the nerdy underdog vibes. Yes I do too,
- 32:44Speaker 3: but it's okay. I mean, I love the album. I
- 32:46Speaker 3: think it's good. So same.
- 32:47Speaker 1: But Taylor back on Late night TV tonight, by the way,
- 32:50Speaker 1: with Seth Myers also real quick. Speaking of art, dozens
- 32:53Speaker 1: of paintings by legendary artist Bob Ross will be auctioned
- 32:56Speaker 1: off to raise money for public TV stations. Of course,
- 32:59Speaker 1: you know he became famous for that Joy of Painting show.
- 33:02Speaker 1: I used to watch it with my dad with the
- 33:04Speaker 1: little white, puffy clouds and all that.
- 33:06Speaker 6: You want to calm down instantly watch Bob Ross, right,
- 33:09Speaker 6: it's the most like calm vibes and you're just staring
- 33:12Speaker 6: at his hair. Yeah, he's talking about the mountains he's painting,
- 33:16Speaker 6: or the happy tree or the hair havy trees, and
- 33:19Speaker 6: it was just a good I don't know something about it.
- 33:22Speaker 3: You can't stop watching it.
- 33:23Speaker 1: Yeah, for sure. It plays at a restaurant where you
- 33:26Speaker 1: go to sometimes just in the background. And Enzo loves
- 33:28Speaker 1: to watch Bob Ross as well, So yeah, this is cool.
- 33:31Speaker 1: They were gonna auction those starting November. Love its. You
- 33:33Speaker 1: got a lot of cash and he wants some Bob
- 33:35Speaker 1: Ross art there.
- 33:36Speaker 3: You think it's a lot, Well.
- 33:37Speaker 1: They're gonna go for their saying like fifty thousand each
- 33:40Speaker 1: probably these paintings. Yeah, that's a big deal. So hey,
- 33:44Speaker 1: enjoy your morning. I'm Candas Slow Pezels are your Texas
- 33:46Speaker 1: soft stories, all right. He's done for Candace Court. It
- 33:51Speaker 1: gets settled here with Billy the Kid in the morning.
- 33:54Speaker 3: I love it. I love Candace Court. It's a new
- 33:56Speaker 3: mix one or two point nine.
- 33:57Speaker 6: If you have a problem you want Candace to help
- 34:00Speaker 6: solve or you know, get some resolution or some just justice,
- 34:04Speaker 6: then reach out to her at Candas on air at
- 34:06Speaker 6: Canis on air, on Instagram, hit or out, But yes,
- 34:08Speaker 6: the Honorable Judge Cannie Lopez is resigning on the bench
- 34:11Speaker 6: right now and today Kyle and Frisco is big mad. Okay,
- 34:15Speaker 6: he didn't even care if I said his name. I
- 34:16Speaker 6: was like, I'll keep it anonymous. He goes, no, say Kyle,
- 34:19Speaker 6: say Kyle and Frisco. I said, Okay, Kyle and Frisco. So, Candace,
- 34:24Speaker 6: I'm curious what you think about this because I feel
- 34:27Speaker 6: a tad taken advantage of. I feel like this has
- 34:31Speaker 6: happened to me more than once, and that's why I'm
- 34:32Speaker 6: bringing it up. Matter of fact, I think you could
- 34:35Speaker 6: call it somewhat of an epidemic when it comes to
- 34:37Speaker 6: dating or quote courting women.
- 34:41Speaker 3: Okay, who says courting? Kyle? What's going on? He said?
- 34:46Speaker 6: I have no problem buying women drinks in order to
- 34:49Speaker 6: start a conversation. Two things I have a major problem with, though, Oh,
- 34:54Speaker 6: and he's marking them down. One problem. Number one, don't
- 34:59Speaker 6: accept I drink if you are not interested in me.
- 35:03Speaker 6: Number one, that's what he says, Okay, on the Kyle list.
- 35:07Speaker 6: Number two he says, and this is a big one,
- 35:11Speaker 6: for me. When I ask you what you want to drink,
- 35:15Speaker 6: pick a normal, reasonable price to drink, not something that's
- 35:20Speaker 6: all expensive and triple the price of everything else.
- 35:24Speaker 3: Dot dot.
- 35:25Speaker 6: That is so tacky and inappropriate for any woman to
- 35:28Speaker 6: do all caps. I was out Saturday night and asked
- 35:32Speaker 6: a beautiful woman at the bar if I could buy
- 35:34Speaker 6: her a drink, and she said sure, I would love that,
- 35:37Speaker 6: thank you, and then proceeded to order a ranch water
- 35:41Speaker 6: specifically made with nineteen forty two tequila. Okay, that's expensive, right, yes,
- 35:48Speaker 6: he says, all caps, like really, question mark, question mark?
- 35:52Speaker 3: Question mark?
- 35:53Speaker 6: Do you know how expensive nineteen forty two is, especially
- 35:56Speaker 6: you're gonna mix it with a ranchwater?
- 35:57Speaker 3: What are you doing?
- 35:58Speaker 6: Yeah? Was she not unreasonable for that? I'm curious what
- 36:03Speaker 6: lady's thinking. Cannis, please side with me, your honor.
- 36:07Speaker 1: Oh wow, trying to sway the judge.
- 36:10Speaker 7: She is.
- 36:10Speaker 3: Matt Kyle in Frisco is mad?
- 36:13Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 36:14Speaker 5: Man?
- 36:14Speaker 3: I picture him up at you know, Legacy West?
- 36:17Speaker 1: Okay, is that where you pictured him?
- 36:19Speaker 6: I pictured him there trying to hit on some women. Yeah,
- 36:22Speaker 6: you know wherever he's at.
- 36:23Speaker 1: If he's a Legacy West, you gotta be prepared. Yeah,
- 36:25Speaker 1: be prepared to heay for expensive drink you drink exactly.
- 36:29Speaker 3: Come on, now, you're not an Applebee's, you know what
- 36:32Speaker 3: I'm saying.
- 36:32Speaker 1: Right, I don't even know how many places serve nineteen
- 36:35Speaker 1: forty two just like a lot.
- 36:37Speaker 3: Okay, wound up, there is concrete cowboy, you got, oh man? Okay,
- 36:40Speaker 3: So what do you think, Cannis?
- 36:43Speaker 1: I mean, ladies like what ladies like, just like men
- 36:45Speaker 1: like what they like in their drinks. Like when Eric
- 36:48Speaker 1: orders a margarita, like he has a specific tequila he
- 36:51Speaker 1: likes and that's what he orders. You know, it's like
- 36:54Speaker 1: it's it's not a bad thing.
- 36:55Speaker 3: Let me play Devil's advocate on that. But that's Eric
- 36:57Speaker 3: ordering for Eric.
- 36:58Speaker 6: Yeah, for sure, that's him, And this is not him
- 37:00Speaker 6: going okay, well somebody's gonna buy me a drink. Let
- 37:03Speaker 6: me hit him with the nineteen forty two.
- 37:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 37:06Speaker 1: I mean, I'm trying to think of how much that
- 37:07Speaker 1: would actually cost because I've never ordered that.
- 37:10Speaker 6: If it depends on where you're at. But it's expensive,
- 37:12Speaker 6: it's not you know, I mean, it's not house.
- 37:15Speaker 1: I mean what just happened to like just being like, yes,
- 37:18Speaker 1: I'll take a you know, Vidkaesota right, old school easy drink.
- 37:22Speaker 6: Well, I don't want to say I don't buy women drinks,
- 37:24Speaker 6: but I really don't, so I don't know what's typical.
- 37:28Speaker 1: I don't either, because I haven't been to the bar
- 37:30Speaker 1: as a single woman in so long.
- 37:32Speaker 3: I agree with this dude wholeheartened. Really, Yes, it's pulling
- 37:35Speaker 3: Frisco with Kyle. Yeah, because I've done that.
- 37:38Speaker 4: He let me get you a drink and then it
- 37:39Speaker 4: ends up being a Cosmopolitan or something like that, And
- 37:42Speaker 4: I'm like.
- 37:42Speaker 3: Sure, what's rolling to Cosmopolitan? That's a normal drink?
- 37:46Speaker 1: That's right? Like what's he said? Pick a reasonably.
- 37:48Speaker 4: Priced drink, Just a chill margaritea or something, you know, right,
- 37:53Speaker 4: you ain't got to order? Why no rage water dog
- 37:57Speaker 4: that's like twenty thirty five dollars a.
- 38:00Speaker 6: If you get it with the nineteen forty two, I guess, yeah,
- 38:02Speaker 6: really yeah, But here's.
- 38:04Speaker 4: My normal eight dollars drink turns into like fifteen twenty
- 38:08Speaker 4: some odd dollars.
- 38:09Speaker 3: Of all, there's no eight dollars drink. If you're getting
- 38:11Speaker 3: a drink, it's.
- 38:12Speaker 1: There's any dollars drink a happy hour.
- 38:14Speaker 3: First of all, I'm just saying like, if.
- 38:16Speaker 1: You're trying to be, you know, frugal with your drinks.
- 38:19Speaker 4: Yeah, but if I almost been like twenty five to
- 38:20Speaker 4: thirty dollars on a one drink.
- 38:23Speaker 3: For you offer to buy anybody?
- 38:24Speaker 1: I mean, I mean, and then what if I risky run?
- 38:28Speaker 3: What if I don't get your number? So you're buying
- 38:32Speaker 3: a drink?
- 38:32Speaker 6: Now I'm being real, I'm not so you would buy
- 38:34Speaker 6: a drink for a girl contingent on the fact that you.
- 38:37Speaker 4: Hope to get a number if we strike strike up
- 38:40Speaker 4: a conversation.
- 38:40Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the end goal.
- 38:42Speaker 6: But I guess one thing that bothers me in here
- 38:44Speaker 6: that Kyle says is he says, you know, I'm just
- 38:48Speaker 6: I'm trying to get to know you. Yeah, well that's
- 38:50Speaker 6: the whole point. That's why you're buying her a drink, so,
- 38:53Speaker 6: you know, he.
- 38:54Speaker 1: Says, don't accept it if you're not interested.
- 38:56Speaker 3: That's what I was saying. Don't accept if you're not interested.
- 38:58Speaker 6: In my first rule, I don't know if I'm interested
- 39:00Speaker 6: unless I talk to you and have a drink with you.
- 39:03Speaker 1: Right, Yeah, you don't know, and then I'm just basing
- 39:05Speaker 1: it on your looks.
- 39:06Speaker 3: I'm sorry, but girls know, if I buy you think
- 39:09Speaker 3: so yes they do.
- 39:10Speaker 4: I've been places in girl I think we no, thanks,
- 39:13Speaker 4: They're polite about it, and then some girls are rude
- 39:16Speaker 4: about it, but they know if they turn around, Hey,
- 39:19Speaker 4: can I buy you a drink? No, I'm sorry, I
- 39:21Speaker 4: have my boyfriend. Okayh blah blah blah.
- 39:23Speaker 1: You know, it's an epidemic though, like I'm don't do this.
- 39:28Speaker 6: No, they don't. And I'm curious what you ladies think?
- 39:30Speaker 6: Eight three three seven eight seven one o two nine?
- 39:33Speaker 6: Is it rude for a woman to do this? Is
- 39:36Speaker 6: it rude to have drinks with a guy, multiple drinks
- 39:38Speaker 6: if you're not interested? I'm curious what people think.
- 39:40Speaker 1: I can't imagine having multiples, Like I think over one
- 39:43Speaker 1: drink you figured it out, like if you're gonna, like
- 39:45Speaker 1: want to know this guy more? Or how fast are
- 39:47Speaker 1: you drinking?
- 39:48Speaker 6: Thesee, I don't blame a woman for Hey, if a
- 39:50Speaker 6: guy's gonna buy me a drink, I'm gonna take it right.
- 39:53Speaker 1: I mean, if anyone offers to buy me anything in life,
- 39:56Speaker 1: I try to do my best to not keep it,
- 39:58Speaker 1: you know, I try to be reasonable with it. But yeah,
- 40:01Speaker 1: I mean, drinks.
- 40:02Speaker 6: Are drink, but like certain people can't drink certain tequila
- 40:04Speaker 6: because it gives him a headache.
- 40:05Speaker 3: So maybe she is just oh, so if you drink
- 40:08Speaker 3: the expensive tequila, no headache. That's what you're telling me exactly.
- 40:13Speaker 1: That's true quality, you know, true.
- 40:16Speaker 4: I'm feeling Spain. I've gotten taken advantage. I remember I
- 40:19Speaker 4: took a girl out to dinner and she ordered two
- 40:22Speaker 4: bottles of wine. Remember I had to call you for
- 40:24Speaker 4: back up because I was like, dang, girl, ugly, I
- 40:28Speaker 4: drink two bottles.
- 40:29Speaker 3: That's only a couple of glasses, y'all. It's taking it. Yeah,
- 40:32Speaker 3: but I don't drink wine. I drink liquor.
- 40:34Speaker 7: You know.
- 40:34Speaker 1: I didn't drink any of it. No, she did, she went,
- 40:37Speaker 1: had she take the bottle home?
- 40:39Speaker 3: No, she finished everything.
- 40:40Speaker 7: Game.
- 40:40Speaker 3: I was like, wow, is that Bill?
- 40:43Speaker 4: And I was like, she called Billy, and Billy was
- 40:45Speaker 4: laughing like I'm over desperate times Like.
- 40:48Speaker 3: Billy, I'm not kidding you. My card might not clear.
- 40:50Speaker 3: It might not clear broken, you know.
- 40:52Speaker 4: And they didn't have ze seven or eight years ago,
- 40:54Speaker 4: so I'm just telling you.
- 40:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 40:56Speaker 1: I was like, no, we did. Okay, then I would
- 41:00Speaker 1: feel taken advantage of too.
- 41:02Speaker 6: Okay, ladies, what do you think eight three, three, seven, eight, seven,
- 41:04Speaker 6: one oh two nine Do you think this is rude?
- 41:06Speaker 3: I think we have a verdict.
- 41:07Speaker 1: Candicis, yeah, we definitely have a verdict. Look, this girl
- 41:11Speaker 1: is guilty of being a top shelf, Sharon. But look
- 41:17Speaker 1: at it, as you know, she's got good taste, so
- 41:19Speaker 1: that's great if she's hanging out with you.
- 41:21Speaker 6: That's a good point, right, that's that is a solid point.
- 41:25Speaker 3: I don't think it's rude. You drink what you drink.
- 41:27Speaker 3: That's the risk you take.
- 41:29Speaker 6: I mean take yes, So she is guilty of bing
- 41:32Speaker 6: a top shelf Sharon to New Mixed one O two
- 41:37Speaker 6: point nine, Good morning, Billy the Kid, Candae Lopez, producer
- 41:40Speaker 6: who is here. I'm trying to get Kyle and Frisco,
- 41:42Speaker 6: who wrote up for Candis Court, to call him. But
- 41:43Speaker 6: he's got a real job already work and I was like,
- 41:47Speaker 6: I don't understandable. But he was mad at pretty much.
- 41:49Speaker 6: He said, all women take advantage I'm quoting him, Yeah,
- 41:53Speaker 6: take advantage of women. He said, Well, I go to
- 41:56Speaker 6: you know, buy these girls a drink and this on
- 41:58Speaker 6: the night like Saturday. This girl is like, yeah, sure,
- 42:00Speaker 6: I'll take some nineteen forty two tequila. And he's like,
- 42:03Speaker 6: that's unreasonable. He's like, that's taken advantage of guys. Why
- 42:07Speaker 6: do you do that? And I'm like, okay, what do
- 42:09Speaker 6: you think a lot of calls about this? Now you
- 42:11Speaker 6: did find that she was guilty.
- 42:13Speaker 1: Yeah, she's a top shelf sharing the.
- 42:15Speaker 6: Top chef, Sharon, thank you, which is a good one
- 42:18Speaker 6: to me. Now, Debbie and McKinney, what do.
- 42:20Speaker 1: You think I think that guy is like, I.
- 42:25Speaker 7: Would never do that to somebody.
- 42:26Speaker 9: That was most crudest thing ever for women.
- 42:29Speaker 7: To do that.
- 42:29Speaker 6: Okay, interesting, and you have an accent, so I really
- 42:33Speaker 6: believe what you're saying. It sounds more real when you
- 42:35Speaker 6: say it. You know, maybe I should set you up
- 42:39Speaker 6: with Kyle. Debbie.
- 42:43Speaker 2: It sounds like he sounds like he's old school when
- 42:46Speaker 2: he says courting, so maybe.
- 42:48Speaker 3: Yes he does.
- 42:49Speaker 6: He sounds very proper like you, So maybe you two
- 42:51Speaker 6: would make a very good couple. So well, maybe I'll
- 42:56Speaker 6: get his number and pass it along. Debbie, Well, thank
- 42:58Speaker 6: you so much. Okay, I appreciate thanks. By anytime somebody
- 43:02Speaker 6: has a British accent, I believe them.
- 43:05Speaker 3: Is that weird?
- 43:06Speaker 9: Now?
- 43:06Speaker 3: You know?
- 43:07Speaker 1: Legit?
- 43:07Speaker 3: Danielle in form Worth Danielle, what's up? What do you think?
- 43:10Speaker 9: Hey, so, I think that both Kyle from Frisco and
- 43:14Speaker 9: you are crazy if they think that they're only going
- 43:18Speaker 9: to buy a drink with stipulations or expectations at the
- 43:21Speaker 9: end of.
- 43:21Speaker 6: It, right, you can't go in like that. You just
- 43:24Speaker 6: gotta Hey, I'm gonna have a good time.
- 43:25Speaker 9: It is what it is, rebluely And if girl hasandrews
- 43:30Speaker 9: with her tequila, let her have standrews with her tequila.
- 43:34Speaker 4: How am I crazy for wanting to get to know you?
- 43:36Speaker 4: That's not crazy. I like, if I buy you a drink,
- 43:39Speaker 4: I should end up, you know, with something.
- 43:41Speaker 3: No, you shouldn't. Why not?
- 43:43Speaker 2: Because No, that is craziest.
- 43:47Speaker 4: Yeah, a girl knows whether she likes somebody, you know,
- 43:50Speaker 4: not right away?
- 43:51Speaker 3: Yes they do, No, they don't.
- 43:53Speaker 2: Girls are different for the first on the tequila.
- 43:56Speaker 7: And that's the problem.
- 43:57Speaker 6: Yeah, and you know what, it depends not her standards
- 44:00Speaker 6: of tequila. And also if she has high standards with tequila,
- 44:03Speaker 6: usually have high standards in men.
- 44:05Speaker 3: Oh so you're saying I'm not a high standard man. No,
- 44:08Speaker 3: if you were tequila, you would come in a plastic bottle. No.
- 44:13Speaker 3: I love you though, but I'd have to chase you
- 44:16Speaker 3: with something. Thank you, Danielle.
- 44:22Speaker 1: Yeah, no, thank you, Like Cannas is top shelf, Yeah,
- 44:26Speaker 1: thank you.
- 44:26Speaker 6: Cannas is in a glass bottle. She's nineteen forty two.
- 44:29Speaker 6: If arter vodka? Me and you were mccormicks, Yeah we are, Okay, Kelly, Kelly.
- 44:37Speaker 3: Where are you from?
- 44:38Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 44:38Speaker 5: Fruitvale?
- 44:39Speaker 3: Where the hell is fruit Vale? Canton? Oh?
- 44:44Speaker 6: Okay, I've never you know what, This might be the
- 44:46Speaker 6: first caller ever for Fruitvale.
- 44:50Speaker 3: I love it, Kelly. What do you think you sound?
- 44:52Speaker 3: High class?
- 44:53Speaker 5: Okay? I think that it was kind of rude. It's
- 44:58Speaker 5: one thing if you buy your self expensive drinks, but
- 45:01Speaker 5: for a stranger to ask you if you want a drink,
- 45:04Speaker 5: or if they can buy you a drink and you
- 45:06Speaker 5: buy an expensive drink, that's a little I think it's
- 45:10Speaker 5: fruit I think it's it's it shows no consideration for
- 45:14Speaker 5: the person, especially if you're not interested in them. And
- 45:17Speaker 5: I've had men buy me a drink seat that I'm
- 45:20Speaker 5: drinking and disorder something like whatever she's having buy or drinks,
- 45:26Speaker 5: and I always buy them a drink back.
- 45:29Speaker 3: Wow, there you go. That's what I'm talking about.
- 45:32Speaker 5: I just want it to be an even steven kind
- 45:34Speaker 5: of thing.
- 45:35Speaker 3: Where do you go out in Fruitvale?
- 45:37Speaker 5: You don't go out anywhere in Fruitvale. Most places in
- 45:41Speaker 5: Fruitvale to go out, you can go to the Dollar
- 45:44Speaker 5: General and buy a six pass.
- 45:46Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 45:48Speaker 5: Woman, I think he's right in being upset. I think
- 45:52Speaker 5: especially if you're not interested in the person to tell
- 45:55Speaker 5: you right now.
- 45:56Speaker 3: Kelly, these men are lucky. I'm not a woman. Oh yeah,
- 45:59Speaker 3: because advantage of all you.
- 46:01Speaker 6: Yeah, I only drink nineteen forty two only. I am
- 46:05Speaker 6: top shelf timmy, Okay, And I'm not giving you a
- 46:09Speaker 6: number kiss nothing. You're getting nothing at the old number.
- 46:12Speaker 6: Dude's ghost and you cast for the friendly ghost. I'm
- 46:18Speaker 6: telling you, I'm going to fruit Vale, of Kelly, and
- 46:21Speaker 6: we're going to Dollar General.
- 46:23Speaker 5: That's right, we don't get a yeah.
- 46:28Speaker 1: Oh that's a hot tage. Let us know what you think.
- 46:30Speaker 6: Here's today's hot take on the New Mixed one or
- 46:32Speaker 6: two point nine. It's bail a kid Candice Loan Paz producer. Pooh,
- 46:36Speaker 6: this story's gone viral because well, there's a couple in
- 46:39Speaker 6: high school in Alaska and the video is up. Actually,
- 46:42Speaker 6: I just put it on my Instagram if you want
- 46:44Speaker 6: to see it. On my story at Billy on the radio.
- 46:47Speaker 6: It looks like she's on the football field. She's in
- 46:49Speaker 6: a varsity jacket. He's a football player. It's in the
- 46:53Speaker 6: middle of the game. He's talking to her. They're saying
- 46:56Speaker 6: something like they're gonna pose for a picture. Next thing,
- 46:58Speaker 6: you know, he drops on one knee and he proposes
- 47:02Speaker 6: to her. What his high school girlfriend? At a high
- 47:06Speaker 6: school game? And my immediate thought was, whoa in high school?
- 47:13Speaker 1: And it's October. It's not like we're about to graduate.
- 47:15Speaker 1: It's like, I mean, on top of the obvious.
- 47:18Speaker 6: Okay, that's true, I never thought about that. You're like,
- 47:20Speaker 6: what about the wedding plans?
- 47:21Speaker 3: It's so weird. But I thought, like, how young are they?
- 47:26Speaker 6: They're so young, And I thought, oh, it's gonna be
- 47:29Speaker 6: maybe like a couple claps like oh yeah, because she
- 47:32Speaker 6: says yes and he gets up and they embrace, and
- 47:35Speaker 6: I'm thinking there's gonna be like some yay. But the
- 47:38Speaker 6: whole crowd and everybody and all the adults around them
- 47:40Speaker 6: just are erupt and they're so happy, and everybody's cheering
- 47:44Speaker 6: and going crazy. And I thought to myself, am I
- 47:46Speaker 6: the only one who thinks this is a little bit weird.
- 47:49Speaker 1: No, I think it's weird too.
- 47:50Speaker 3: Is this too young?
- 47:52Speaker 6: Because some people are chiming in like the fact that
- 47:55Speaker 6: their parents let them do this is child abuse, which
- 48:00Speaker 6: dramatic and might be a little bit dramatic. And if
- 48:02Speaker 6: they're eighteen, they could do what they want. Yeah, whether
- 48:05Speaker 6: they're in high school or not. I'm assuming maybe even
- 48:07Speaker 6: seventeen in some states. I don't know what Alaska's laws are.
- 48:09Speaker 1: But I mean, at least it's an engagement that could
- 48:12Speaker 1: last for a long time, you know. It's not like
- 48:15Speaker 1: they're like, we're getting married today. Well, we just got married.
- 48:18Speaker 6: But I also feel like if you're getting engaged, you
- 48:20Speaker 6: should be ready to get married. Yeah, Like, if you're
- 48:22Speaker 6: getting engaged, like, don't pop the question. These people with
- 48:25Speaker 6: ten year engagements, what's the point But we'll just have
- 48:28Speaker 6: a long engaged.
- 48:29Speaker 3: Then what's the point of it?
- 48:30Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 48:31Speaker 1: I guess.
- 48:32Speaker 3: But yeah, but is this too young? Is my question
- 48:35Speaker 3: for you?
- 48:35Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 48:36Speaker 3: Is it too young? Do you think the parents are
- 48:38Speaker 3: at fault?
- 48:38Speaker 1: I mean, did they know they had to?
- 48:40Speaker 3: I would say they had to. I mean, but if
- 48:42Speaker 3: they're all cheering, yeah, but it.
- 48:43Speaker 6: Looks traditional, so to me, he had to ask the father,
- 48:47Speaker 6: that's a good point for her hand in marriage. If
- 48:49Speaker 6: I'm that girl's dad, I'm going, hey, yeah, you're senior.
- 48:54Speaker 3: In high school, right, you can be together.
- 48:57Speaker 1: I mean, I know some people like marry their high
- 48:59Speaker 1: school sweetheart and it lasts and it's beautiful and it
- 49:03Speaker 1: was meant to be. But like, your brain's not even
- 49:05Speaker 1: fully developed. Funny to say that until you're like, I
- 49:08Speaker 1: don't know, mid twenties.
- 49:09Speaker 6: Can I comment creep for a minute, Yeah, because somebody
- 49:11Speaker 6: the first comment with sixteen thousand like says, ah, yes,
- 49:16Speaker 6: nothing says true love like making lifelong decisions before your
- 49:19Speaker 6: prefrontal cortexes are even fully bad.
- 49:22Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 49:23Speaker 6: Yeah, that's the first, literally the first comment on there.
- 49:26Speaker 6: Should we go through some more comments?
- 49:28Speaker 3: Yes? Oh interesting?
- 49:29Speaker 6: This next comment says, y'all act like this wasn't a
- 49:31Speaker 6: normal thing up until like twenty five years ago.
- 49:34Speaker 3: Yeah, I guess it was more, nor was it really?
- 49:37Speaker 1: Yeah? I mean think about our grandparents. Like, out of
- 49:39Speaker 1: my grandparents met when they were sixteen, wow, siventeen?
- 49:42Speaker 3: Maybe were they married at like fourteen fifteen?
- 49:45Speaker 1: Not that young but pretty quick? Yeah, my grandparents got
- 49:48Speaker 1: married and they were together. I mean forever.
- 49:51Speaker 6: Someone else said, what else is there to do in
- 49:53Speaker 6: Alaska's I.
- 49:56Speaker 1: Mean smaller towns and things. It's different when you know, like,
- 49:59Speaker 1: these are the people, These are my choices unless I leave,
- 50:01Speaker 1: these are my choices.
- 50:02Speaker 3: Stop candide, I mean, come on.
- 50:05Speaker 4: Right, At a point, I'd be telling myself, hold on,
- 50:08Speaker 4: why don't you wait, explore your options.
- 50:10Speaker 3: No, I wouldn't even tell them that.
- 50:13Speaker 1: I would say I would highly discourage it.
- 50:15Speaker 6: I would say, I would tell them wait, I would say,
- 50:17Speaker 6: pump the brakes. I would say, you could be with her,
- 50:19Speaker 6: you could be happy, you can do things. But you
- 50:22Speaker 6: don't have to get married right now. No, Like, take
- 50:25Speaker 6: your time. You're going off to college. Yeah, if you're
- 50:28Speaker 6: going off to college, I'm sorry, you shouldn't be getting married.
- 50:30Speaker 3: No, enjoy yourself.
- 50:32Speaker 1: Everything is going to change. I keep telling my niece
- 50:34Speaker 1: this too. She's a senior in high school, and I'm like,
- 50:36Speaker 1: in a couple months, your whole world is going to
- 50:38Speaker 1: be completely different. Right, you know, everything that was important
- 50:42Speaker 1: to you in October won't be in July.
- 50:44Speaker 3: Are you the same person you were in high school? Right? No?
- 50:47Speaker 3: Not me either either.
- 50:48Speaker 6: And I'm not saying true love can't happen, No, for sure,
- 50:51Speaker 6: and I'm rooting for them.
- 50:52Speaker 3: Yeah, but to me, it's too young.
- 50:53Speaker 6: Another comment says, advice long engagement four years of college first, Yeah,
- 50:58Speaker 6: engaged all the way through college. Somebody else said, got
- 51:02Speaker 6: engaged at eighteen. Now I'm thirty eight. We're still going
- 51:04Speaker 6: strong saking grats and keep your negative comments to yourselves.
- 51:08Speaker 3: Okay.
- 51:09Speaker 6: Someone else said, I married the love of my life
- 51:11Speaker 6: at nineteen. We met at eighteen, just celebrated twenty three
- 51:14Speaker 6: years together. Lifelong love was someone you met as a
- 51:17Speaker 6: teenager in high school. Is totally possible. Congrats to both
- 51:21Speaker 6: of them, which happened, Yes, sure, sure ken. Now someone
- 51:25Speaker 6: else said, y'all are hating like your grannies weren't pregnant
- 51:28Speaker 6: at fourteen.
- 51:30Speaker 3: That's aggressive, mate, it's a different time.
- 51:33Speaker 1: That's a good point.
- 51:36Speaker 6: You only lived till you were like thirty, right, so
- 51:39Speaker 6: let's do this in the Great Depression.
- 51:40Speaker 3: You had to get married at fourteen.
- 51:43Speaker 6: Mix one or two point nine Ability Kid Candice Lopez
- 51:45Speaker 6: producer PHO get a lot of calls about this one,
- 51:47Speaker 6: This couple that went viral. They're in high school, they're
- 51:50Speaker 6: in Alaska. The guy as a senior proposed to his
- 51:53Speaker 6: girlfriend on the football field. I mean, was it cute, yes?
- 51:57Speaker 3: Was it a little cringe at the same time?
- 52:00Speaker 6: To me, I just don't come from a place where
- 52:03Speaker 6: you do that when you're that.
- 52:04Speaker 3: Young, right.
- 52:05Speaker 6: Promposal sure, sure, proposals yeah, cool, that's fine.
- 52:09Speaker 3: But like marriage proposal in high school, some.
- 52:12Speaker 6: People are like, the parents should be so disappointed in
- 52:15Speaker 6: themselves for this.
- 52:16Speaker 3: And now Laura, Laura Lewisville, right, yeah, she was married
- 52:18Speaker 3: twenty three years.
- 52:19Speaker 4: Oh, but she says times have change, so she's she
- 52:23Speaker 4: wouldn't suggest.
- 52:23Speaker 6: It, Okay, So yeah, and that's kind of I feel
- 52:26Speaker 6: to the point, you know, it's like it was different then,
- 52:29Speaker 6: but now I don't know.
- 52:31Speaker 3: Morgan and for Worth, what do you think my high.
- 52:34Speaker 2: School boyfriend we started dating I guess the summer between
- 52:38Speaker 2: junior and senior year, and then he proposed my senior year.
- 52:42Speaker 2: He was a year older, so he was already out
- 52:44Speaker 2: of school, really, and so I said yes, like knowing
- 52:49Speaker 2: that I shouldn't have said yes. But you're a teenager,
- 52:51Speaker 2: so you don't make the best decision, right, And I
- 52:54Speaker 2: mean I did. I loved him, I did, you know,
- 52:57Speaker 2: want to be with him, but I knew that it
- 52:59Speaker 2: was too young to get married or engaged. So I
- 53:03Speaker 2: said yes, and it all went downhill from there. So
- 53:07Speaker 2: I think if we had just stayed dating, we probably
- 53:10Speaker 2: would have lasted longer. But I mean, everything happens for
- 53:12Speaker 2: a reason. I'm married now, have two kids. That's great,
- 53:15Speaker 2: but good. But we were from a small town, like
- 53:20Speaker 2: went to a small town. My kids still go to
- 53:22Speaker 2: the same school that I went to, and his wife
- 53:25Speaker 2: now is a teacher at my kids school see them.
- 53:30Speaker 1: He was insecure that you were in high school with
- 53:33Speaker 1: all the other kids, and he was out about Yeah.
- 53:35Speaker 3: What did your parents? What did your parents think about it? Like,
- 53:38Speaker 3: did they freak out?
- 53:40Speaker 7: Well?
- 53:41Speaker 2: No, they were actually supportive of it. They really really
- 53:44Speaker 2: liked him. And my parents were like childhood sweethearts. So
- 53:48Speaker 2: they met church when they were twelve and they yeah,
- 53:52Speaker 2: and so I mean they didn't start like dating really
- 53:54Speaker 2: at twelve. Well, I mean, at twelve, what are you right?
- 53:57Speaker 7: Dating?
- 53:57Speaker 3: Right? Right?
- 53:58Speaker 2: And they got married at a team and had me
- 54:01Speaker 2: at eighteen.
- 54:03Speaker 3: Wow, And they're still going strong.
- 54:05Speaker 2: And they're still going strong. They will be married forty
- 54:08Speaker 2: years at the end.
- 54:09Speaker 7: Of the month.
- 54:10Speaker 6: Oh you know what, I just I feel like that's
- 54:12Speaker 6: just so rare nowadays because of tender.
- 54:16Speaker 3: I do.
- 54:17Speaker 6: I feel like people back then, I met someone at
- 54:19Speaker 6: church and guess what, that's the girl that I'm going
- 54:21Speaker 6: to marry. Now it's like, well, there might be someone
- 54:23Speaker 6: else out there.
- 54:25Speaker 2: There are millions of my dad's mom or actually my
- 54:30Speaker 2: dad's grandma. She was married at fourteen.
- 54:33Speaker 7: Gee.
- 54:34Speaker 1: Wow.
- 54:34Speaker 2: And so I mean, of course that was, you know,
- 54:36Speaker 2: one hundred years ago. But you know she was married
- 54:39Speaker 2: at fourteen. She stayed married to him, you know, until death.
- 54:42Speaker 2: I mean, they never divorced. They had sixteen kids together.
- 54:45Speaker 3: Sixteen god. Yes, yeah, they didn't have PlayStation five, that's true.
- 54:51Speaker 3: They didn't have TV. Yeah, they didn't have anything.
- 54:55Speaker 2: I mean we kind of we kind of come from
- 54:56Speaker 2: a long line of young marriages.
- 54:58Speaker 7: But that's not always.
- 54:59Speaker 2: You know, things change time.
- 55:01Speaker 6: For different Now, well, as long as you're happy now,
- 55:03Speaker 6: that's what matters. But wow, I mean, see, that's good advice.
- 55:06Speaker 6: Glad you're happy, that's what matters. Who had his first
- 55:08Speaker 6: divorce when he was twelve? No, he did. He was
- 55:13Speaker 6: on his third marriage by fourteen.
- 55:17Speaker 1: Your new home of Philly. The kid in the morning.
- 55:21Speaker 3: About to get out here. We'll see you tomorrow. Have
- 55:23Speaker 3: a great day, Cannice. What are you got going on today?
- 55:25Speaker 1: We had baseball three nights in a row, so I
- 55:28Speaker 1: think we're gonna chill tonight. Bruce just gotta go to
- 55:30Speaker 1: the vet today. Though it's like season of like checklist,
- 55:33Speaker 1: you know, right before the holidays start, get the doctor's
- 55:36Speaker 1: plumington all that. Like I took a pose keeping as
- 55:39Speaker 1: people would.
- 55:39Speaker 6: Say, you're right, I was gonna try to put up
- 55:41Speaker 6: my Halloween decorations today, but I've been getting off because
- 55:43Speaker 6: I won a nice seventy degree day.
- 55:45Speaker 1: I know it's October eighth, though I know I gotta
- 55:47Speaker 1: do it. I mean we have trunk or treat tomorrow night,
- 55:50Speaker 1: like it's already times it's start. Yeah, we do at
- 55:53Speaker 1: Endo school.
- 55:54Speaker 3: Trunk or treat. Wow for what.
- 55:57Speaker 1: It's like their Halloween you know event at the school.
- 56:00Speaker 1: Well they're out of school Friday.
- 56:01Speaker 3: Okay, Still that's aggressive, locky.
- 56:04Speaker 1: It seems really early, but I mean Halloween's like three
- 56:06Speaker 1: weeks away.
- 56:07Speaker 6: That means you can put your Christmas tree up then
- 56:09Speaker 6: on Saturday. That's what that means.
- 56:11Speaker 3: If you'll need somebody test Enzo's candy before you.
- 56:14Speaker 6: Know, I was talking about that do you remember when
- 56:16Speaker 6: parents used to do that back in the day. Yeah,
- 56:18Speaker 6: before you touched your Halloween candy, we would touch Sometimes
- 56:21Speaker 6: we take it to the local police station to run
- 56:24Speaker 6: it through like a scanner, because that was a big
- 56:26Speaker 6: deal when we were kids in the eighties and nineties.
- 56:29Speaker 3: Do we do that now?
- 56:31Speaker 1: I don't think so.
- 56:32Speaker 3: I'll kind of look through the candy. But what do
- 56:34Speaker 3: we do. We don't take it.
- 56:35Speaker 1: People really putting razor blades.
- 56:37Speaker 3: When you were a kid.
- 56:38Speaker 6: When we were kids, they said that people were putting
- 56:41Speaker 6: razor blades in candy and.
- 56:42Speaker 3: A needle or needles. Yeah, weird.
- 56:45Speaker 6: Now it's opposite. We were paranoid back then. Now I
- 56:48Speaker 6: feel like we should be paranoid.
- 56:49Speaker 1: Yeah, or not.
- 56:50Speaker 3: We just eat the candy.
- 56:52Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, my son brings his candy home and
- 56:54Speaker 6: I'm like, cool, I'm eating it.
- 56:55Speaker 3: I don't even check it myself for sure.
- 56:58Speaker 1: Well, I mostly know all the news are giving out
- 57:00Speaker 1: candy anyway, so I'm like, yeah.
- 57:03Speaker 3: I don't you any By the way, don't trust your neighbors.
- 57:08Speaker 4: Rich rich neighborhoods because they give the full sized candy.
- 57:11Speaker 3: Bars for you.
- 57:13Speaker 6: I know.
- 57:13Speaker 3: I think that's a myth. It ain't a myth with me.
- 57:16Speaker 3: I know exactly where to.
- 57:17Speaker 6: Go because my son did that one year, and he's
- 57:20Speaker 6: like matter of fact, He's like it was just normal.
- 57:22Speaker 6: He goes. We went to, you know, the regular neighborhoods,
- 57:25Speaker 6: and some of them were given away the big candy bars,
- 57:28Speaker 6: you know.
- 57:29Speaker 1: I mean that viral Halloween house that you know everyone's
- 57:32Speaker 1: talking about. Surely they give out full sized candy bars
