- 0:00Speaker 1: In Mark on demand by setting up presead for his
- 0:04Speaker 1: podcast on the iHeartRadio app.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Now back to Mark Simone on wor.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to Diane in Illinois. Diane,
- 0:15Speaker 1: how you doing.
- 0:17Speaker 3: I'm doing really good, Mark, Hey, because I live in Illinois,
- 0:20Speaker 3: I can't vote in your mayoral election. But I love
- 0:22Speaker 3: New York. It's a wonderful city. I'm a little confused, though,
- 0:25Speaker 3: you said that this month DOWNNY guy just became a
- 0:27Speaker 3: citizen a group up in Uganda. But I see commercials
- 0:30Speaker 3: where he brags about being a kid growing up in
- 0:32Speaker 3: New York City.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Yeah. No, he only came here in recent years. He
- 0:37Speaker 1: only became a citizen. I think five or six years ago.
- 0:40Speaker 1: He'd been here much longer. But no, he's from Uganda.
- 0:43Speaker 1: They still have a home, and you got how many
- 0:45Speaker 1: people you know have a weekend home in Uganda's short?
- 0:51Speaker 1: All right, Diane, thanks for Colin. Let's go to Rich
- 0:54Speaker 1: Myrtle Beach.
- 0:55Speaker 4: Rich.
- 0:55Speaker 1: How you doing pretty good?
- 0:57Speaker 5: Mark? Thanks? You know, when I found out that the
- 0:59Speaker 5: Obama We're going to be part owners or get money
- 1:02Speaker 5: from Netflix, I was never given Netflix up any of
- 1:05Speaker 5: my hard earned money ever, But as you think any
- 1:07Speaker 5: of this has to do with Elon Musk home for
- 1:09Speaker 5: the boycott of Netflix and why they're going down a
- 1:11Speaker 5: tube sit.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Oh yeah, no, no, that definitely helped, definitely helps stock
- 1:14Speaker 1: is plunging Netflix in trouble this. I don't know why
- 1:18Speaker 1: they got so involved in promoting transgender nonsense. I don't
- 1:22Speaker 1: know why they why.
- 1:23Speaker 5: The post I saw a post I Peter King talk
- 1:28Speaker 5: about my Donnie this, I'm Donnie that. But one of
- 1:31Speaker 5: these Republicans doing to come in and try to get
- 1:33Speaker 5: people to vote Republican, because, like you've mentioned many times,
- 1:36Speaker 5: if you only get a twenty percent turnout, I'm Donnie wins.
- 1:38Speaker 5: If you get fifty percent of more, Curtis might actually
- 1:41Speaker 5: win this thing.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Yeah, high turnout, Curtis wins. Yeah, you're right. That's that's
- 1:44Speaker 1: the main problem. The Republican Party in New York is
- 1:47Speaker 1: a tiny thing. It's a little tiny thing. The Democrats
- 1:50Speaker 1: have a massive ground game. Ground game is the key.
- 1:53Speaker 1: That's the teams that people that go out and get
- 1:56Speaker 1: knock on doors and get voters and then on election
- 1:59Speaker 1: day they bring them to the polls. The Democrats have
- 2:02Speaker 1: like sixty thousand in that army that ground game. Republicans
- 2:07Speaker 1: nothing nothing, No, there's barely a Republican party in New York.
- 2:11Speaker 1: That's really the problem. Let's go to Chris and Manhattan. Chris,
- 2:14Speaker 1: how you doing good?
- 2:15Speaker 2: Thanks Mark. Listen, you said before that people if Curtis
- 2:19Speaker 2: were to drop out, people wouldn't vote for Cuomo. No,
- 2:24Speaker 2: I would no. But I don't want Mandanmie, and I
- 2:26Speaker 2: want quote, I want Curtis to win, but I don't
- 2:29Speaker 2: think Curtis can win. So it was between Monday.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Well, well, there's one thing we know for a fact,
- 2:33Speaker 1: because we've already there's one thing we absolutely know. We've
- 2:36Speaker 1: tested it. Cuomo cannot beat Mom Donnie. We tried it
- 2:39Speaker 1: in the primary. He got wiped out in two debates.
- 2:42Speaker 1: He got wiped out in the So we know for
- 2:43Speaker 1: a fact he can't beat Mom Donnie. Now you're gonna
- 2:46Speaker 1: have it. There's nobody else, Yeah, there's Curtis, and you'll
- 2:48Speaker 1: have a debate October sixteenth. That'll be Curtis's shot to
- 2:52Speaker 1: change the whole dynamic by.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Just Curtis for the record.
- 2:57Speaker 1: But yeah, you remember if quote, we know Clomo can't
- 3:00Speaker 1: beat Mom Donnie. We already tried that. That's how you
- 3:02Speaker 1: got stuck with Mom Donnie because Cuomo was so weak
- 3:05Speaker 1: against him in the debates. But if Curtis were to
- 3:09Speaker 1: drop out, none of those votes would go to Cuomo,
- 3:11Speaker 1: none of them. There's no Curtis. We're talking about normal people,
- 3:15Speaker 1: We're talking about rational, saying people. But nobody would go
- 3:19Speaker 1: to the Curtis voter is not going to switch to Cuomo.
- 3:23Speaker 1: You know, when Adams dropped out, we find that half
- 3:25Speaker 1: those voters went to Mom Donnie. So it's not about
- 3:28Speaker 1: everybody dropping out. Anybody was going to be for Cuomo.
- 3:31Speaker 1: It's already for Cuomo. And it's all people that just
- 3:33Speaker 1: got bulldozed by Cuomo. Can't We've tried him against Mom Donnie.
- 3:39Speaker 1: You know, Mam Donnie started out in the primary as
- 3:42Speaker 1: zero at zero. Once you had two debates with Cuomo,
- 3:45Speaker 1: he went to forty points and he just Cuomo is
- 3:48Speaker 1: so weak as a debater. Let's go to Joel in Florida. Joel,
- 3:52Speaker 1: how you doing.
- 3:54Speaker 6: Good morning, Mark. I hope you had a good weekend.
- 3:56Speaker 6: I want you to have a good week short of
- 3:59Speaker 6: the fluss of revenue in your opinion, is there anything
- 4:02Speaker 6: that can occur that could make the mainstream media the
- 4:06Speaker 6: non woke as woke as they have been.
- 4:10Speaker 1: New ownership, new ownership, and it's gonna that'll take time.
- 4:13Speaker 1: But a good question you got. CBS now has a
- 4:16Speaker 1: new owner, David Ellison, son of Larry Ellison. He's taken
- 4:20Speaker 1: over CBS. He's brought in a new This is now
- 4:23Speaker 1: confirmed by the Way today. It will be Barry Weiss,
- 4:26Speaker 1: the new director of CBS News. She's from the New
- 4:29Speaker 1: York Times, but she's a sane, rational, old fashioned moderate
- 4:34Speaker 1: sort of a Democrat, and she does not like the
- 4:37Speaker 1: slanted news coverage. She will clean up CBS News. You'll
- 4:40Speaker 1: see a mutiny, You'll see a lot of people leave.
- 4:43Speaker 1: He has done this with CBS now. He's trying to
- 4:46Speaker 1: get Warner Brothers Discovery, which would include CNN. He would
- 4:50Speaker 1: then clean up CNN. He saw Musk do it with Twitter.
- 4:54Speaker 1: He cleaned up Twitter. It was the most biased left
- 4:56Speaker 1: wing censoring, crazy place, banning Trump, banning conservatives. Musk bought it,
- 5:04Speaker 1: cleaned it up. So you'll see CBS get cleaned up next.
- 5:06Speaker 1: And if he gets a hold of CNN, you'll see
- 5:10Speaker 1: that get cleaned up. Let's go to Joanne in New Jersey. Joanne,
- 5:13Speaker 1: how you doing.
- 5:15Speaker 5: Yeah. Hi, are you familiar with jimash the singer from
- 5:19Speaker 5: kazakh Stan who played manson Square Garden last night?
- 5:23Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 5:24Speaker 4: Yes, What do you think be the next Michael Jackson?
- 5:27Speaker 1: No? No, you got a little at least good, but
- 5:30Speaker 1: you still got a waste.
- 5:32Speaker 3: You don't.
- 5:32Speaker 1: It's it's like that everybody was the next Beatles, Now
- 5:35Speaker 1: everybody's the next Michael Jackson. It doesn't really work that way.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Let's go to Richard and Bayshore. Richard, how you doing.
- 5:42Speaker 4: I'm doing well. Marked. This is when the total value
- 5:45Speaker 4: of all the savings from the upcoming shutdown cuts or tallied.
- 5:50Speaker 4: I think a good political move would be to apply
- 5:54Speaker 4: some portion of that money right away to an increase
- 5:57Speaker 4: in the cola that's coming for Social Security, to get
- 6:00Speaker 4: a bonus coll and this way people can see what
- 6:03Speaker 4: their money can be used for instead of what was nonsense.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Yeah, no, there's a lot of plans. But also with
- 6:08Speaker 1: the deficit of the trade deficit money, the tariff money,
- 6:12Speaker 1: there's talk about both these things. Take that money. Let's
- 6:15Speaker 1: talk about a rebate check. Send everybody, well, it'd be
- 6:19Speaker 1: everybody like under two hundred thousand a year. Send everybody
- 6:22Speaker 1: a check for five thousand dollars. Now some are arguing
- 6:24Speaker 1: with Trump, don't send these rebate checks. Pay down the
- 6:27Speaker 1: deficit with it, pay down the debt with it. I
- 6:30Speaker 1: think people rather have the check. We're always going to
- 6:33Speaker 1: have this debt. We live with it. You can pay
- 6:35Speaker 1: it down.
- 6:37Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Bill Clinton brought the debt down, almost the deficit down
- 6:40Speaker 1: to nothing, but it just pops right back up. But
- 6:44Speaker 1: you will get something. You will profit heavily off the shutdown. Hey,
- 6:48Speaker 1: when we come back, we'll talk to Michael Goodwin next.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Lots to talk to him about on seven to ten
- 6:53Speaker 1: wor
