  She's going to open them up for the first time in, well, 15

  years. I've peeked in them.

  They look brand new. They're shining like I just wore

  them yesterday. We'll see what she wants to put

  up, but we're making progress. I told, I told my mother-in-law

  Dee and I told Kim. I said we're clean people.

  But I feel like the walls are closing in on me.

  The house is lighter. The garage is lighter.

  I just read by Adam Stern that NASCAR is looking at opening up

  the rules a little bit to let the cut drivers race in the

  Truck Series and the Xfinity Series.

  And of course, as you all know, the Xfinity Series has a new

  some, some still that think that keeping the Cup drivers out of

  the Xfinity Series and out of the Truck Series is a good idea.

  Now, I see people out there already saying that's a bad

  idea. I'm not going to be mean about

  this, but I'm just going to say hold on.

  I don't think this rule turned out the way we all thought it

  was going to turn out. In other words, we were mad at,

  you know, NASCAR Cup drivers coming in and winning all these

  races. But it to me, it's worked quite

  the opposite. For example, you see Connor

  Zilich win four of the last five Xfinity races.

  Well, it made Connor famous. You know why?

  Because he outrun SVG. Imagine if Shane van Gisbergen

  was not in that Watkins Glen race or in some of those other

  races. Then it would have been O'Connor

  hasn't faced real competition yet.

  But because SVG, you know, pretty much a rookie, he's only

  ran what, 39 races, you know, and he's able to run some, you

  know, by the, the rules that we're under right now, I think

  Cup drivers are only allowed to run, what, 5 total?

  Remind me now that that's just one example.

  So that made Connor the real deal because he outran SVG.

  It's my opinion that I, you know, wouldn't be where I'm at

  if it wouldn't be for me out running some great drivers at

  time in the Xfinity series for example.

  I'll just give you 2 reasons. One of my greatest nights ever.

  Now listen, don't get mad at me and don't make fun of me.

  I was acting totally silly yesterday saying I'm the mayor

  of the Xfinity Series. That was come on people, some of

  you new people are too easy. People know when I'm acting

  silly. Yesterday I said I'm the I'm the

  mayor of the Xfinity Series and I saw a couple of big people.

  He's arrogant. I'm like, sit down, it's a

  comedy, we're having fun. So let me just remind you of why

  I think it's good that these Cup drivers are able to run a little

  bit more in the Xfinity and Truck Series 1.

  Great night at Richmond for me. I look in my mirror and I see

  the number 3 Dale Earnhardt senior, the man in black on my

  ass on a restart. I'm like, no, no, no, no focus

  Herman. And that's when we unveiled that

  red dog sponsor. Remember the car was black, had

  TIC on the quarter panels, but the, the red dog bull on the

  hood. Remember that night?

  And I, I changed my groove a little bit.

  I opened up my groove getting into one.

  You know, I was, I was kind of coming off the wall and then

  going straight down to the yellow line.

  And I said, I think I'll go. I'll follow the wall a little

  more and I'll arc in not, not a mark, mark an arc, but just a

  little bit more of an arc. And that that got my exit speed

  really good. And Mark Martin finally got by.

  Oh, yeah. Did I tell you that?

  Second was Dale Earnhardt senior.

  Third was Mark Martin in the winn-dixie Ford.

  That night I won. I was the best.

  It was a great night, a night I will never forget, but that

  night would have not been that good unless I outran to the

  greatest of all time. Now it was very rare, but it was

  senior said, I held off Mark Martin all I could for you,

  Herman. He finally wore me down.

  But Earnhardt said, I noticed you changed your line getting

  into one. Then we go to Bristol.

  Ernie Ern's hurt and Mark Martin drives his, what was it #10

  yellow and white Mac Tools card. And I outran Mark that night.

  Now listen, we all know Mark is the man, but I'm just saying

  those two moments I will remember forever because Mark

  Martin, I mean, I'm nobody. But those two nights I'll never

  forget. So I think this is a great ideal

  and I just gave you all the examples, Connor Zillich, me,

  that extended my career. You know, when Steve Park got

  hurt, they put me in the Pennzoil Chevrolet.

  I set QuickTime in the Cup series at Rockingham.

  I run second all of that because people watched me in that red

  dog car and it was up against Dale Earnhardt senior and Mark

  Martin. I feel bad for these truck

  drivers and these Xfinity drivers.

  You know why? They don't have an opportunity

  now to outrun the best. They don't have an opportunity

  to outrun the Cup drivers. So although it seemed like this

  grand idea, what it's done now is it?

  It has dumbed down the Xfinity Series and the Truck Series now.
