- 0:02Carmen Lezeth: It's Carmen, rick and Tony Nice to see you there's people out there.
- 0:06Rick Costa: I forgot about that.
- 0:09Carmen Lezeth: So Tony didn't have on a shirt, I want everyone to know.
- 0:11Carmen Lezeth: And he was like, oh, let me put on a t-shirt.
- 0:13Carmen Lezeth: We were like, please put on a t-shirt.
- 0:15Carmen Lezeth: Carmen back, hey everyone, this is my green screen.
- 0:22Carmen Lezeth: I have it because that's me and Connie, who I kept calling Colleen on the trip because I just met her, so now let's take her nickname.
- 0:29Carmen Lezeth: We're parasailing.
- 0:30Carmen Lezeth: That's us up there.
- 0:31Carmen Lezeth: Isn't that a cool picture?
- 0:37Carmen Lezeth: Very, very cool.
- 0:37Carmen Lezeth: And Aruba, yeah, I already miss it.
- 0:40Carmen Lezeth: I think I'm going to move.
- 0:41Carmen Lezeth: I'm not kidding.
- 0:42Carmen Lezeth: This is how it happened when I moved to California.
- 0:47Carmen Lezeth: It starts with the kind of joke maybe I will move the people there are beautiful.
- 0:49Carmen Lezeth: Have you guys been to Aruba?
- 0:51Tony D.: No, no, it is on my list to go.
- 0:54Carmen Lezeth: Yeah.
- 0:55Rick Costa: Hey, cynthia hey.
- 0:56Carmen Lezeth: Cynthia.
- 0:56Carmen Lezeth: Cynthia was going to come on, but she's busy Not feeling well, which makes me worried about her.
- 1:04Carmen Lezeth: But yeah, I hope you feel better, cynthia.
- 1:05Carmen Lezeth: I'm sorry, I always feel bad because she always wants to come on and she's resting this evening.
- 1:10Tony D.: Relax yourself.
- 1:11Tony D.: We got this.
- 1:12Carmen Lezeth: That's what I'm saying.
- 1:13Carmen Lezeth: So, tony Ma'am, how you doing.
- 1:18Tony D.: I'm chilling Busy week next week.
- 1:20Tony D.: Got to get ready for that.
- 1:22Tony D.: Other than that, I don't want to hear none of this.
- 1:25Tony D.: You, ma'am since you had something going on and you were so busy you need to tell us about your trip.
- 1:29Tony D.: You always want to hear when we got stuff going on.
- 1:31Tony D.: You always want to hear about everything afterwards, so we need to do the same with you.
- 1:33Tony D.: You need to tell us all about Aruba.
- 1:39Carmen Lezeth: Aruba.
- 1:39Carmen Lezeth: Okay, what do you want to know?
- 1:40Carmen Lezeth: Rick, you were going to ask me some questions.
- 1:42Rick Costa: One thing I remember you said is that they speak multiple languages over there.
- 1:45Carmen Lezeth: Yes, they speak multiple languages, so they speak English, spanish, pampimiento I'm not saying it right, but I think it's Pampamiento which is like a combination of Dutch and French and Spanish, and they speak Portuguese as well.
- 2:00Rick Costa: Hey Melanie, how are you, how are you doing?
- 2:02Carmen Lezeth: Hey, melanie, and so a couple of times I would be hearing them talking in papamiento I think that's how you say it.
- 2:09Carmen Lezeth: Again, I'm not absolutely sure.
- 2:10Carmen Lezeth: They thought it was cute how I said it, so I'm thinking I'm close.
- 2:12Carmen Lezeth: There would be certain words they would say and I would be like I, I understand, you know what I mean.
- 2:17Carmen Lezeth: So, but most of them speak spanish.
- 2:19Carmen Lezeth: It was great.
- 2:20Rick Costa: So the people there are lovely, um yeah, the guy that was a tenant in my house, um, he spoke spanish.
- 2:26Rick Costa: He's pretty much spanish, so yeah yeah, it's a.
- 2:28Carmen Lezeth: It's a.
- 2:28Carmen Lezeth: It's a beautiful, beautiful place.
- 2:30Carmen Lezeth: I do think my beach is better.
- 2:32Carmen Lezeth: I I said that to to all the women we were with.
- 2:34Carmen Lezeth: I said I live in santa monica and I just have to say I think my beach is better, your water looks better, but our beach is better.
- 2:41Carmen Lezeth: I'm just saying I have to compare beaches, you know.
- 2:44Rick Costa: Yeah, the water definitely in islands, are pretty amazing.
- 2:46Rick Costa: I remember going to Bermuda and I'm like, wow, you could literally see clear out.
- 2:50Rick Costa: I could see through the water way out far, because it was so beautiful clear, crystal blue.
- 2:55Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, when we were parasailing this is a picture of us parasailing people you could just see clear down into the water.
- 3:02Carmen Lezeth: It's so gorgeous and beautiful.
- 3:03Carmen Lezeth: And yeah, you could just see clear down into the water.
- 3:05Carmen Lezeth: It's so gorgeous and beautiful.
- 3:06Carmen Lezeth: It's a lovely time.
- 3:07Carmen Lezeth: It was a great time, no complaints.
- 3:08Carmen Lezeth: I worked while I was away, though, Hold on one second I know surprise, Hold on one second, bless you.
- 3:16Tony D.: Did she call for Steve's old camera?
- 3:17Tony D.: She's never done that before.
- 3:18Carmen Lezeth: But didn't I mute it?
- 3:19Carmen Lezeth: No, I thought I was being like Andrea muting it.
- 3:23Carmen Lezeth: You know what?
- 3:23Carmen Lezeth: I'm so tired.
- 3:24Carmen Lezeth: I just got in this morning.
- 3:25Carmen Lezeth: I'm really exhausted.
- 3:26Carmen Lezeth: I had a layover and um, and I did work while I was on vacation, which you know.
- 3:32Carmen Lezeth: I was trying to explain to people that when you have a business, you don't really have an ability to not be available and um, so I did some reports for one of my clients and then another client.
- 3:40Carmen Lezeth: This was so funny Cause when I was in the room with Joanne, I had to.
- 3:42Carmen Lezeth: I had to transfer $2 million somewhere and she was like, what are you doing?
- 3:47Carmen Lezeth: I'm like we're trying to transfer money for one of my clients and it's not working.
- 3:51Carmen Lezeth: She was like I was trying to tell her it doesn't matter if it's $2 million or $300.
- 3:56Carmen Lezeth: It's the same thing when you're just handling people's crap.
- 3:59Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 3:59Carmen Lezeth: So I think that's one of the things I might regret is I really want to go away without working at all, but I worked almost every day, at least for a couple hours.
- 4:09Carmen Lezeth: Oh, wow, yeah, yeah.
- 4:12Carmen Lezeth: I mean don't get me wrong with a mojito in one hand, or you know, I was still.
- 4:16Carmen Lezeth: I mean I didn't do it on the beach because that would be inappropriate, especially for.
- 4:19Carmen Lezeth: But I had like two Zoom calls while I was away and that's kind of a bummer.
- 4:23Carmen Lezeth: I had like two Zoom calls while I was away and that was kind of a bummer.
- 4:25Carmen Lezeth: But you know, again, first world problems, I was in Aruba.
- 4:27Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 4:27Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, yeah.
- 4:29Rick Costa: So what was like the best part of the trip.
- 4:33Carmen Lezeth: There were a few things that were great about it, I think meeting people I've never met before and hanging out with them anyway.
- 4:42Carmen Lezeth: So I knew, of course, mary and Joanne because I grew up with them.
- 4:43Carmen Lezeth: And I knew, of course, mary Ann and Joanne because I grew up with them.
- 4:46Carmen Lezeth: And I knew a couple other people like Mary Ann and Lori.
- 4:47Carmen Lezeth: I've known them but still, like hanging out with that many people, I was a little nervous but it was great to meet all these people and when you have a connection to people who are so cool, you can kind of trust that it's going to be a really cool time.
- 5:02Carmen Lezeth: You see what I'm saying Like, if I I know Rick, I'm going to go hang out with you and you tell me that you're bringing you know three of your friends, I'm going to trust that those three friends are good people because you are you know what I mean and and and I think that kind of happened.
- 5:12Carmen Lezeth: And also Mary and Joanne, the twins they turned, which I think you guys met, nasty t-shirts, which was hilarious, and we played all these games and and and there were no rules.
- 5:27Carmen Lezeth: You didn't have to do anything or participate in anything.
- 5:31Carmen Lezeth: So you know, we're all grownups, but it was just really well done.
- 5:32Carmen Lezeth: It was really fun time.
- 5:33Carmen Lezeth: So I think that was probably one of the best things meeting new people and being easygoing about it all and, yeah, that was probably one of the best things for sure so if you had to pick one thing you missed the most about aruba, what would you say?
- 5:46Carmen Lezeth: the people yeah I'm talking the people of the island, I'm not talking about the like.
- 5:50Carmen Lezeth: I spoke to a lot of the people, the workers uh, who work there and stuff, and um, I talked to them just to learn a little bit about their lives, like, for example, the woman that was the, the two women that were cleaning our room.
- 6:00Carmen Lezeth: Um, one of them and this is so sad to hear, one of them is a full-time teacher, but she makes more money housekeeping.
- 6:08Carmen Lezeth: So she does housekeeping part-time because she makes more money and I was like is this all over the world where we don't treat teachers with respect and dignity?
- 6:15Carmen Lezeth: And clearly the answer is yes.
- 6:16Carmen Lezeth: Oh, glad you had fun.
- 6:19Carmen Lezeth: I think you needed a vacation, cynthia said I think I needed a vacation too.
- 6:25Tony D.: I was so tired.
- 6:25Carmen Lezeth: I'm tired now, but from just not time change and sleeping.
- 6:28Carmen Lezeth: But I totally thank you.
- 6:29Carmen Lezeth: I think everyone needs a vacation.
- 6:31Tony D.: Yeah, teachers don't get paid enough and you're jet lagged.
- 6:33Tony D.: Is it jet lag?
- 6:35Tony D.: Yes, because you had that big time difference.
- 6:37Tony D.: They had a long flight.
- 6:38Tony D.: That's jet lag.
- 6:39Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I tend not to believe in jet lag, but I guess it is, I don't know.
- 6:43Tony D.: You tend not to believe.
- 6:44Tony D.: Okay, you're about to find out.
- 6:45Carmen Lezeth: Well, here's the thing, because all I did was go to the East Coast, basically, right, it's the same time change.
- 6:50Carmen Lezeth: So usually when I go to the East Coast it doesn't really affect me, because it's actually good, because I'm such an early sleeper.
- 6:57Tony D.: So you've done the time zone change of one occasion frequently.
- 7:00Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, to New York, it's just not a big deal.
- 7:01Carmen Lezeth: Or Boston.
- 7:03Carmen Lezeth: That's my phone, sorry.
- 7:06Carmen Lezeth: Totally fine, whatever you need, tony D.
- 7:13Tony D.: We are just grateful to have you in our presence, as always.
- 7:15Tony D.: I would think that the time change would be different, but if you're used to it, then I hear you.
- 7:19Tony D.: If anything, you just came home from vacation and you're relaxed.
- 7:21Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I don't know if I'm saying I'm used to.
- 7:23Carmen Lezeth: I'm just saying it wasn't that big of a time.
- 7:24Carmen Lezeth: It's not like when I go to like australia or something that's.
- 7:27Carmen Lezeth: That's a jet lag thing, you know that's a, that's a that's a different ball game.
- 7:30Carmen Lezeth: But going to the east coast I mean, it is aruba, but I think flying makes you tired, you know.
- 7:36Carmen Lezeth: I think I know that sounds weird because it's not like I'm flying the plane, or anything.
- 7:41Rick Costa: I flew all the way here.
- 7:42Rick Costa: My, my arms are tired.
- 7:44Carmen Lezeth: But, um, but I'm also kind of sad to have to be back.
- 7:47Carmen Lezeth: I'll be honest, I, um, I really don't think we should.
- 7:52Carmen Lezeth: Okay, these are the revelations I had while I was away.
- 7:54Carmen Lezeth: I'm like life should be much more enjoyable, like you are when you're on vacation.
- 7:59Carmen Lezeth: Then it is like this should be more joy.
- 8:02Carmen Lezeth: I hate to be cheesy, but more joy in our lives, like when you go on vacation.
- 8:07Tony D.: Yes.
- 8:08Carmen Lezeth: You know, and how do you do that?
- 8:11Tony D.: Relax as much as possible, but you always have to come back to some sort of responsibility.
- 8:14Tony D.: I've done vacation.
- 8:16Carmen Lezeth: But I was responsible, I was on vacation, I was responsible, I was doing my work, I was, you know, touching base with staff, I was checking emails.
- 8:23Carmen Lezeth: I'm just saying I think the difference was is that it wasn't mundane, it was a different, it was a different schedule and there was something to do every day.
- 8:32Carmen Lezeth: Whether it was like all right, I mean, we all met on the beach and, you know, hung out on the beach all day, but there was a schedule we're going to go on a boat ride and we're going to go on ATV thing there was something different about every day.
- 8:42Carmen Lezeth: And I think that's what I kind of learned is how mundane life gets when we're just here in the rat race.
- 8:48Rick Costa: Does that make sense?
- 8:49Carmen Lezeth: Yeah.
- 8:49Tony D.: Yeah, yeah.
- 8:50Rick Costa: She does.
- 8:51Tony D.: She's a decompressor, exactly.
- 8:59Carmen Lezeth: Thank you, Melanie.
- 8:59Carmen Lezeth: Can you call all of my clients tomorrow?
- 9:00Rick Costa: and tell them that Thank you.
- 9:01Rick Costa: Yeah, I saw somebody say that they always take a two-week vacation because it takes them a good week to finally feel relaxed enough to enjoy where they are, and then that next week they can enjoy it.
- 9:11Rick Costa: Really, that's the truth.
- 9:13Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I think that would be a disaster for me work-wise.
- 9:15Carmen Lezeth: I mean, I did in essence take off two weeks, I did, but I only left for 10 days.
- 9:22Carmen Lezeth: But yeah, 10 days is plenty of time, Let so uh, but yeah, it's a ton of time.
- 9:25Tony D.: That's.
- 9:25Tony D.: That's.
- 9:25Tony D.: That's took about two, three days.
- 9:27Tony D.: Get comfortable, then you adapt to where you're at, enjoy the scenery.
- 9:30Tony D.: Yeah, a little bit of work every now and then get you back to reality, but then you can vacation a little bit harder or at least get more out of it, because you had to do something while you were there.
- 9:36Carmen Lezeth: Yeah.
- 9:50Tony D.: I get that.
- 9:52Tony D.: Nope, I've gone to see family three times in the past year for about a weekend four.
- 9:55Tony D.: So they were short, three, four day trips max.
- 9:57Tony D.: So I don't want to say it's a little bit of a getaway okay, say this respectfully, but is it?
- 10:00Carmen Lezeth: is it for you a holiday when you go see family?
- 10:02Carmen Lezeth: Because I know some people like going to go see family and no vacation.
- 10:06Tony D.: It is a holiday for me, because that's one of my goals every year Go to the family, go see the family.
- 10:09Tony D.: At least I can do what I want to do easy.
- 10:11Tony D.: But to go see the family is a bigger focus and even when I do what I want to do, I've done a lot of that.
- 10:16Tony D.: I can say that I've done a lot of that.
- 10:18Tony D.: So for me, that's why I'm going to see family now Vacation it costs more than what I make, the way I spend money, and I'm bad, I'm very bad.
- 10:37Tony D.: I will go and blow the whole picture.
- 10:38Tony D.: It's very easy for me.
- 10:39Carmen Lezeth: So for you, you actually went somewhere you wanted to go.
- 10:41Carmen Lezeth: I think that was an all-inclusive place, so you paid.
- 10:44Carmen Lezeth: I don't know what it was.
- 10:45Carmen Lezeth: I forget.
- 10:46Carmen Lezeth: It was like whatever.
- 10:47Carmen Lezeth: No, no, because they also had deals.
- 10:48Carmen Lezeth: They go every year, so I forget what we paid.
- 10:50Carmen Lezeth: I think we paid like three grand each or something, and it was all-inclusive.
- 10:54Carmen Lezeth: So all your meals were paid for all your drinks.
- 10:56Carmen Lezeth: That's why everybody was drinking all day, because no matter where.
- 10:59Carmen Lezeth: So they were asking you if you wanted to drink what I'd have been lit 10 days.
- 11:06Tony D.: Eight of those days I'd have been drunk.
- 11:08Carmen Lezeth: And I didn't drink at all.
- 11:09Carmen Lezeth: I mean, I did, I did drink, but I didn't.
- 11:12Tony D.: Eight of those days I would have been drunk.
- 11:14Carmen Lezeth: I had like three drinks per day because I would milk them and then I was just chugging water all day.
- 11:18Carmen Lezeth: But let me tell, you these ladies can drink.
- 11:21Carmen Lezeth: They can drink, oh my goodness they can drink.
- 11:23Carmen Lezeth: And then they would eat at dinner and they'd get another drink.
- 11:25Carmen Lezeth: I'm like you've been drinking all day at the beach.
- 11:27Carmen Lezeth: How do you do that?
- 11:28Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, and so I you know, for me, the, the.
- 11:31Carmen Lezeth: I don't know if I would do all inclusive ever again.
- 11:33Tony D.: I will tell you, because I think, there's a there's a drawback to that what.
- 11:37Tony D.: I've never done it, but I would I think you would enjoy it.
- 11:41Carmen Lezeth: I mean especially, look at I.
- 11:42Carmen Lezeth: I think it's great and it does include everything, and then, but if you want to do anything different, like parasailing, you got to pay.
- 11:48Carmen Lezeth: That.
- 11:48Carmen Lezeth: That's a separate charge.
- 11:49Carmen Lezeth: But, all the hotel, it's the rooms and your drinks and food and in that sense, budget wise it's a great deal.
- 11:55Carmen Lezeth: It's awesome.
- 11:57Carmen Lezeth: Melanie just said it's been a few years since I've had any semblance of a vacation.
- 12:01Carmen Lezeth: And yes, to me seeing family is a vacation, since I have no family nearby, exactly.
- 12:05Tony D.: I get that, melanie.
- 12:06Tony D.: I got some in Atlanta, but the majority of my family is back up northeast, so yeah, I relate to that.
- 12:12Carmen Lezeth: But you understand why I was saying that right, because sometimes when people like for Thanksgiving, when people get together for Thanksgiving, they get stressed because they have to deal with family drama.
- 12:20Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean?
- 12:20Carmen Lezeth: It's routine.
- 12:21Tony D.: It's tradition.
- 12:22Tony D.: That's what the stress is.
- 12:22Tony D.: It's routine.
- 12:23Tony D.: You try to maintain a certain standard instead of just going somewhere and everybody just being free.
- 12:27Carmen Lezeth: Exactly Cynthia just said.
- 12:28Carmen Lezeth: When we went to Jamaica it was all-inclusive.
- 12:30Carmen Lezeth: And let me tell you I have some stories about my son, xavier.
- 12:37Tony D.: That's just bad, don't be telling on, xavier, I can already imagine my family would talk about me if I was drunk all those days.
- 12:42Tony D.: It'd take a 10-inch all inclusive, like that my family would talk about me.
- 12:46Carmen Lezeth: But here's the thing I thought, because it was all-inclusive, that they would be kind of chintzy on the alcohol.
- 12:51Carmen Lezeth: Oh my god, they're not.
- 12:53Carmen Lezeth: I'm and you know I'm not a big drinker, right, and I was like, oh, that's why I could milk it all day, because I was like this is so strong.
- 12:59Carmen Lezeth: So they were really.
- 13:02Carmen Lezeth: I have low tolerance.
- 13:03Carmen Lezeth: But also, like this, this woman on the beach her name was Vanessa, because we would have the same kind of waiters all the time, cause they got to know the groups she was like oh, come on, mommy, they call everybody mommy and poppy there, everybody.
- 13:13Carmen Lezeth: They're like come on, mommy, you need to have another drink You've been taking so long.
- 13:16Carmen Lezeth: Like they're totally pushing.
- 13:23Tony D.: I was no driving, they had no kids, they had no work, they had no responsibility.
- 13:27Tony D.: Nope, just let loose.
- 13:28Tony D.: That's what it was.
- 13:29Tony D.: You could have had a sip all day Just been sipping your drink until it was watered down, watching them at the food.
- 13:34Carmen Lezeth: Oh no, and they were having a blast.
- 13:35Carmen Lezeth: And let me tell you, some of them were trashed out of their only one family member.
- 13:41Carmen Lezeth: I have to be careful of what I say.
- 13:42Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I get that.
- 13:43Carmen Lezeth: Melanie Rick, when was the last time you were able to go on vacation?
- 13:47Carmen Lezeth: It was probably before your mom's situation, right?
- 13:50Rick Costa: A legit vacation, Like for real for real vacation, so not family.
- 13:56Carmen Lezeth: I guess, when I got on my honeymoon.
- 13:58Rick Costa: We went on a cruise, that's pretty much it, and I know all-inclusive and it's like think it's gonna be awesome and it is, but it's like, but then after a while it's like, okay, what do we do now?
- 14:08Carmen Lezeth: there's nothing to do, let's go eat again let me, we were great because we got to go into the town and stuff like that and you can go to other restaurants and clubs and whatever.
- 14:14Carmen Lezeth: Oh, joanne, hi, there's my roommate from aruba and she's still in aruba.
- 14:20Carmen Lezeth: She's still hanging out in aruba right now.
- 14:22Carmen Lezeth: Um, yeah, look at I'm, I'm all for all.
- 14:26Carmen Lezeth: I have no problem with all inclusive.
- 14:27Carmen Lezeth: I don't think I would do it again.
- 14:28Carmen Lezeth: I, I think for me it was, um, a little bit too constricted, because there's they have rules to stuff.
- 14:34Carmen Lezeth: You know, like you can only get one towel, you have to do this, and hey, hi, mario, how are you?
- 14:39Carmen Lezeth: You know you, you have to.
- 14:40Carmen Lezeth: For me it was just a little restrictive on some of the things, but I, I would.
- 14:44Carmen Lezeth: I would do it again in a new place.
- 14:45Carmen Lezeth: But now that I've been to Aruba, I think I would be more like I'm going to go and stay at a regular hotel or whatever, and not do inclusive.
- 14:51Carmen Lezeth: But there were a lot of, there were a lot of pros to it, like your food is paid for whatever, but then to me, all the food at some point starts to taste the same, no matter all the restaurants.
- 15:00Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 15:01Carmen Lezeth: So for me.
- 15:02Tony D.: It's something I want to get out in the town.
- 15:03Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, you see what I mean.
- 15:04Tony D.: Yes, when you take on a boat, I like what Rick said it's supposed to be routine.
- 15:13Tony D.: Everything starts being okay.
- 15:14Tony D.: What can I do next?
- 15:14Tony D.: You want to go somewhere where there's always some type of new adventure atmosphere.
- 15:16Tony D.: Another aspect of intrigue, and I'll go ahead and say it myself, that's why I love Vegas.
- 15:19Tony D.: No two hotels were the same.
- 15:21Tony D.: You can walk at this one, walk at another one, see this type of casino, see these type of accommodations or whatever.
- 15:26Tony D.: I had a good time just sightseeing.
- 15:27Tony D.: So I would ask you, when you went, did a parasailing, were there any other excursions or adventure trips, sightseeing that you did?
- 15:35Carmen Lezeth: No, they went on, so I didn't go on the boat trip.
- 15:38Carmen Lezeth: I was going to do it and I went and saw the boat and I don't do boats I just don't do them they were really cool trying to get me to do it and um, but I decided not to do it um I really just enjoyed what.
- 15:49Rick Costa: How many people could fit on the boat?
- 15:51Carmen Lezeth: I guess they could fit 40 on the boat, but that, to me, is see my thing, and they had probably that many.
- 15:55Carmen Lezeth: My thing is, like I don't want 40 people.
- 15:57Carmen Lezeth: I want two people on a 40 people boat me and the captain.
- 16:00Carmen Lezeth: You know, like I don't, I need it to not be that crowded.
- 16:03Carmen Lezeth: That's why I don't like Disney, I don't like crowded.
- 16:06Carmen Lezeth: I also don't want to be on a boat in the middle of the ocean without any control.
- 16:13Carmen Lezeth: I don't know how to explain it.
- 16:14Carmen Lezeth: We were on the speedboat to get to the parasailing.
- 16:16Carmen Lezeth: That was awesome.
- 16:16Carmen Lezeth: There was four of us and the guy was speeding and bumping.
- 16:20Carmen Lezeth: That was cool.
- 16:21Carmen Lezeth: That was awesome.
- 16:21Carmen Lezeth: I saw it.
- 16:23Carmen Lezeth: Oh, you up, and that was cool.
- 16:26Carmen Lezeth: That was awesome.
- 16:26Carmen Lezeth: But yeah, I just saw, I saw it.
- 16:27Carmen Lezeth: You're good.
- 16:27Carmen Lezeth: Oh, you're leaving tomorrow.
- 16:28Carmen Lezeth: Joanne, love you, okay, have a safe flight home.
- 16:29Carmen Lezeth: Yes, yes, have a wonderful night and thank you again.
- 16:31Carmen Lezeth: It was so much fun.
- 16:32Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, so they stayed three more days mary, joanne and laurie, um, so, so, so my whole thing was I thought this was a great first time trip to aruba, um, and so the next time I go I'm gonna be better prepared.
- 16:44Carmen Lezeth: I guess is what I'm saying.
- 16:45Carmen Lezeth: You wouldn't go back.
- 16:46Carmen Lezeth: I'm going to go back to Aruba.
- 16:47Carmen Lezeth: For sure, I don't know about the hotel yet.
- 16:49Carmen Lezeth: I don't know about that hotel.
- 16:50Tony D.: That's the one place as far as locations that I haven't gone to that I wanted to check out that one and another one to Cozumel.
- 16:58Tony D.: I won't stay in the island.
- 16:59Tony D.: It's like when Went to the Bahamas the Bahamas wasn't what I thought it was.
- 17:03Carmen Lezeth: Really, I've been to the Bahamas.
- 17:05Tony D.: It was I expected, what I saw in the commercials Sunny skies yeah, we got there.
- 17:10Tony D.: Number one it rained.
- 17:13Carmen Lezeth: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, it happens.
- 17:14Tony D.: And I went to the hotel.
- 17:15Tony D.: The hotel's excellent, Don't get me wrong.
- 17:16Tony D.: But it wasn't what I expected.
- 17:17Tony D.: It really wasn't commercial, even though it was still standing.
- 17:21Tony D.: It was plenty up there, had a casino inside, had some shops.
- 17:24Tony D.: I was great with that.
- 17:24Tony D.: I wanted to stay there.
- 17:25Tony D.: That's actually why I wanted to take her for the honeymoon.
- 17:27Tony D.: I wanted to go down there.
- 17:28Tony D.: So we went around and checked it out.
- 17:29Tony D.: I was like, all right, I'm good.
- 17:30Tony D.: Then we went to the second cruise.
- 17:32Tony D.: I went to Grand Cayman.
- 17:33Tony D.: Grand Cayman had me.
- 17:33Tony D.: That's where I went parasailing at.
- 17:35Tony D.: You can see the water sailing.
- 17:46Tony D.: I don't know why you have to go in skydiving.
- 17:47Tony D.: It was so simple, Right, and I was.
- 17:47Tony D.: I looked at that whole island.
- 17:47Tony D.: I was like I spent about 15 minutes trying to figure out how I could move down there and she was looking at me like we're not moving.
- 17:50Tony D.: I said I know, but I just feel like I want to.
- 17:52Tony D.: It was like something was just really.
- 17:54Carmen Lezeth: I'm telling you, I'm not, I'm being serious.
- 18:00Carmen Lezeth: I think Pueblo Bonito, it was all-inclusive.
- 18:02Carmen Lezeth: However, they had four resorts you could go between.
- 18:04Carmen Lezeth: There were a great diversity of restaurants and exertions.
- 18:06Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, this wasn't that same thing.
- 18:08Carmen Lezeth: And look, I'm not against all-inclusive.
- 18:10Carmen Lezeth: I think all-inclusive is great.
- 18:12Carmen Lezeth: It is great, especially for a group of 16 people.
- 18:14Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 18:15Carmen Lezeth: It's amazing, I'm just saying.
- 18:17Carmen Lezeth: For me, I was like, especially, there were just so many little idiosyncrasies that were driving me insane.
- 18:21Carmen Lezeth: Like I don't like rules, I really don't like you can only have one towel and if you don't bring back the towel, like you're gonna get in some type of trouble if you don't have the charge if you'll be a towel, yeah, you'll charge you for the towel, yeah okay, but look at, but here's the thing.
- 18:34Carmen Lezeth: Then just say that, right, but let me take it.
- 18:36Carmen Lezeth: Like, let me take two or three towels if I want them, right, but if I have to pay for them, I'll pay for them.
- 18:40Carmen Lezeth: But this thing that you can only have one at a time, and just simple things like not being able to get OK.
- 18:45Carmen Lezeth: So we, of course, because they've been there so many times, they know how this works.
- 18:48Carmen Lezeth: So every morning at 435 o'clock in the morning, somebody in the group had to go down to the beach to reserve 16 chairs so that we would all have reclinages.
- 18:56Carmen Lezeth: I'm like no, that is, I couldn't stand that.
- 19:01Carmen Lezeth: But I mean we all did it right.
- 19:02Carmen Lezeth: I mean me and Joanne didn't have to do it because we took a different responsibility.
- 19:05Carmen Lezeth: But I'm just saying like I think that's cheesy, I hate that.
- 19:08Carmen Lezeth: Now, here in Santa Monica, as I was explaining when you are, you know, when you rent a place here, when you rent at a hotel yes, a bougie hotel but when you rent, but I'm just saying you have a reserved reclining area.
- 19:21Carmen Lezeth: It's part of your room, your room number's on it, it's, and you don't even have to worry about it.
- 19:27Carmen Lezeth: You can move your recliner around or whatever, but there's none of this like.
- 19:30Carmen Lezeth: So we had to tip the guy every morning, you know what I mean?
- 19:33Carmen Lezeth: Like 40, 50 bucks so that he could.
- 19:35Carmen Lezeth: That's not all inclusive.
- 19:37Carmen Lezeth: You see what I'm saying.
- 19:39Carmen Lezeth: So, uh, cynthia said grand cayman is beautiful.
- 19:42Tony D.: Yes, that's weird that they had restrictions about Jamaica.
- 19:45Carmen Lezeth: Well, every all-inclusive place has some restrictions, because that's how they keep you, that's how they keep their costs.
- 19:51Carmen Lezeth: You may not call them restrictions.
- 19:53Carmen Lezeth: I do.
- 19:54Carmen Lezeth: I didn't like them.
- 19:57Tony D.: I think because it was crowded.
- 19:58Tony D.: When you got there, what Was it crowded?
- 20:02Carmen Lezeth: I guess I don't know if it's crowded.
- 20:04Carmen Lezeth: I mean it looked like the hotel was full.
- 20:05Carmen Lezeth: I don't know.
- 20:06Tony D.: If the hotel was full.
- 20:06Tony D.: That's probably why they did all that with the chairs.
- 20:09Carmen Lezeth: No, they do it every year.
- 20:09Carmen Lezeth: That's how they know to go up to the guy.
- 20:11Carmen Lezeth: They know everybody at the hotel, which is awesome.
- 20:14Carmen Lezeth: It was so funny.
- 20:15Carmen Lezeth: They were like looking for people and yeah, yeah, I'm very.
- 20:21Carmen Lezeth: What did we say, tony Bougie?
- 20:24Rick Costa: Bougie, now, was there anything in?
- 20:26Rick Costa: Not the trip maybe itself, but Aruba itself that you didn't care for, and we already heard about the bed incident, but besides that, any other creatures you didn't want to see, or something.
- 20:38Carmen Lezeth: I don't know.
- 20:38Carmen Lezeth: Look, I didn't get to see enough of the island.
- 20:40Carmen Lezeth: I'll be honest with you, this is just kind of my first time there and I was just kind of chilling with everybody and it was really fun.
- 20:46Carmen Lezeth: It was more about a party with friends.
- 20:48Carmen Lezeth: That was kind of the coolest thing of this.
- 20:50Carmen Lezeth: Um, we could have been anywhere, we could have been, you know, down the street.
- 20:53Carmen Lezeth: It would have been the same kind of fun, excitement, thingamajiggy.
- 20:56Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 20:57Carmen Lezeth: But I didn't get to see the entire Island.
- 20:59Carmen Lezeth: Um, I think the only thing I would say is there's a thing about dairy in Aruba that's interesting.
- 21:05Carmen Lezeth: Their ice cream is amazing.
- 21:07Carmen Lezeth: It looks like it's always melted.
- 21:08Carmen Lezeth: I don't know how it's made it, but the ice cream, to me I like it.
- 21:10Carmen Lezeth: It's a soft serve kind of like.
- 21:13Carmen Lezeth: If you don't like it, like this, you're not going to enjoy it.
- 21:15Carmen Lezeth: But if you put cream in your coffee, it's gross, like it's not gross, it's not gross, it's not like.
- 21:21Carmen Lezeth: Cream, cream, I don't know what kind of cream.
- 21:23Carmen Lezeth: I didn't want to know.
- 21:26Carmen Lezeth: So I think dairy if, like, if you're a big dairy person, maybe you're not gonna love their cheeses and stuff, but and they have to import everything.
- 21:33Carmen Lezeth: Remember they're an island so everything's very expensive.
- 21:36Carmen Lezeth: But I was cracking up because when mary told me she's like be very careful, because everything's really expensive.
- 21:41Carmen Lezeth: She's like bring your own lotion, you know suntan lotion, everything that.
- 21:44Carmen Lezeth: And I didn't, because I didn't want to bring too much in my suitcases.
- 21:46Carmen Lezeth: So when I went to buy suntan lotion or whatever it is, the 70% stuff, it was like as much as it is here, $34.
- 21:54Carmen Lezeth: Like LA and Aruba cost the same to me.
- 21:58Carmen Lezeth: Hi, audrey, you look so happy.
- 22:01Carmen Lezeth: Oh, thank you so much Again.
- 22:03Carmen Lezeth: I am super tired, I'm really exhausted, and today I don't think I have on any makeup.
- 22:09Carmen Lezeth: I think I still have mascara on from trying to look decent on the plane.
- 22:12Carmen Lezeth: So I'm half asleep, but yeah.
- 22:16Carmen Lezeth: So I would say dairy was probably not my favorite there, but that was okay.
- 22:20Carmen Lezeth: I don't need to eat more dairy.
- 22:21Carmen Lezeth: So that'd be good, and you said after a while the food kind of tasted the same.
- 22:30Carmen Lezeth: That was the hotel, though that was just the hotels, you know.
- 22:32Carmen Lezeth: I think it would have been great to do more of the town's food like.
- 22:33Carmen Lezeth: I think that's what I would do next time is go find the places in the, in the neighborhood, you know, I mean, where people actually go out to eat not tourists there's a lot of them, but they still seem to be in the tourist area, right?
- 22:46Carmen Lezeth: So all the tourists are there hanging out in the nightlife and whatever.
- 22:49Carmen Lezeth: And so I was like, yeah, yeah, it was great, it's a beautiful place.
- 22:53Tony D.: I still think my beach is better, but that's just me, that's just me, I think a part of the reason you may You've been where you've been at for so long.
- 23:01Tony D.: Tell me if I'm wrong.
- 23:02Carmen Lezeth: I'm just ready to I don't know, you know what.
- 23:04Carmen Lezeth: I'm ready.
- 23:04Carmen Lezeth: It's not so much that I want to move, I'm just.
- 23:08Carmen Lezeth: I'm done working, I'm done doing this job.
- 23:09Tony D.: I'm about right there with you.
- 23:10Tony D.: I'm about right there with you, I'm done working.
- 23:13Carmen Lezeth: I think the lottery is a perfect thing for me to win now, right now.
- 23:16Carmen Lezeth: Got it, did they say?
- 23:20Carmen Lezeth: Somebody got, uh, I think it was 1.2 or 1.3 billion I hope it was somebody who really deserved it, like I mean I'm sure they did, but I hope it was some good, honest, hard-working person.
- 23:30Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I don't know who it is, but I hope it was some like little old lady or something with like 17 grandchildren who've been working her ass off already.
- 23:37Carmen Lezeth: The men are beautiful there.
- 23:44Carmen Lezeth: There's a picture on Joanne's thing.
- 23:48Carmen Lezeth: On Joanne's.
- 23:49Carmen Lezeth: They're all in love with this guy.
- 23:51Carmen Lezeth: I think his name is Hugo I don't even know what his name is actually but all the men there are good looking.
- 23:55Carmen Lezeth: But you know what?
- 23:56Carmen Lezeth: Again, we're talking about more touristy people in the hotel.
- 24:00Carmen Lezeth: You know that were there with their girlfriends or whatever.
- 24:03Carmen Lezeth: But the men that work there are also just beautiful, wonderful people.
- 24:06Carmen Lezeth: They all speak so many languages.
- 24:07Carmen Lezeth: That's what I think is so kind of sexy about everyone.
- 24:09Carmen Lezeth: How are the men there?
- 24:11Carmen Lezeth: Audrey, we're going to go move there for the men.
- 24:14Carmen Lezeth: I love it.
- 24:14Carmen Lezeth: Mara, just said one person in Jersey.
- 24:18Carmen Lezeth: What, what did I?
- 24:19Tony D.: miss.
- 24:19Tony D.: You won the lottery.
- 24:19Tony D.: Somebody in New Jersey.
- 24:21Carmen Lezeth: Oh good, oh good, oh, I hope it was somebody who wanted it Deserved it.
- 24:25Carmen Lezeth: A good person.
- 24:26Carmen Lezeth: Oh, come on, let's have joy for them, you're a Jersey man you know, what my layover was in Jersey and let me tell you I was scared of that airport, but it's a beautiful airport.
- 24:36Tony D.: They've redone the whole airport.
- 24:38Tony D.: Was it Newark?
- 24:39Carmen Lezeth: Newark.
- 24:40Tony D.: Yeah.
- 24:41Carmen Lezeth: But they've redone it.
- 24:42Carmen Lezeth: It looks beautiful.
- 24:43Tony D.: I haven't been there in about a decade In the A area In the A.
- 24:47Carmen Lezeth: I was in the A area.
- 24:48Tony D.: Powerball Saturday night $935 million is it right now?
- 24:51Tony D.: Good job, I'll be in the room for a week or two.
- 24:54Carmen Lezeth: Maybe three.
- 24:54Carmen Lezeth: Oh wait, wait, that's the new one for this weekend.
- 24:56Carmen Lezeth: The new one for this weekend is going to the other one.
- 25:06Carmen Lezeth: Like I said, somebody jersey, that was the power.
- 25:07Carmen Lezeth: God bless them and you know, if you did 23 and me, or ancestry and we cousins, you know I love you, jersey person.
- 25:10Carmen Lezeth: I don't need that much, just enough to not work anymore.
- 25:15Carmen Lezeth: I'm just saying, yeah, I saw the picture with mary, that guy with, oh my god, yeah, he was gorgeous and they know him.
- 25:21Carmen Lezeth: I guess he got married, though last year.
- 25:23Carmen Lezeth: So I was like, ah, boo boo.
- 25:28Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, newark airport is great we were traveling into.
- 25:32Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I was shocked because I was so nervous about going into newark, because the last time I've been in newark, I never connect to newark because you always think new jersey, no offense, but it's beautiful.
- 25:41Carmen Lezeth: The airport there is better than lax, for sure it's gorgeous.
- 25:45Tony D.: Newark is just as busy as LaGuardia and JFK it's the third one, if you will.
- 25:49Tony D.: I get it Was Newark the more I have to look and see where Ruben is.
- 25:53Tony D.: I do want to go there, the only reason why.
- 25:55Carmen Lezeth: I went into Newark is because it was the quickest way for me to get back.
- 25:59Carmen Lezeth: There is no direct flight.
- 26:01Carmen Lezeth: I could have gone into Florida and then come back, but that would have just been a little bit longer.
- 26:06Carmen Lezeth: I just wanted to get back as soon as possible.
- 26:07Carmen Lezeth: I went to Newark instead, but there's no direct flight from LA to Aruba.
- 26:13Carmen Lezeth: I tried, I tried.
- 26:14Carmen Lezeth: There's definitely no first class direct flight from LA to Aruba.
- 26:20Carmen Lezeth: You could fly private, but I got that kind of money.
- 26:23Carmen Lezeth: I tried.
- 26:23Carmen Lezeth: Oh wow, no, but there were.
- 26:24Carmen Lezeth: I mean you could fly private, but I ain't got that kind of money.
- 26:25Carmen Lezeth: But yeah, but I flew first class here domestically.
- 26:31Rick Costa: Yeah.
- 26:31Carmen Lezeth: Cause I always tried like if it's over five hours, I try to fly first class, cause I can't handle it.
- 26:36Tony D.: Moving to the airport is not fun.
- 26:37Tony D.: I hate it.
- 26:37Tony D.: I flew into it.
- 26:39Carmen Lezeth: No, no but, melanie, now it's beautiful.
- 26:41Carmen Lezeth: I don't know if you've been there recently, but I was just there last night.
- 26:44Carmen Lezeth: It's actually a beautiful.
- 26:45Carmen Lezeth: They've redone it all.
- 26:46Carmen Lezeth: At least A JetBlue is in A that's where I was.
- 26:50Tony D.: You flew JetBlue.
- 26:52Carmen Lezeth: I love JetBlue.
- 26:52Carmen Lezeth: It's my favorite.
- 26:53Carmen Lezeth: Jetblue Mint is the best first class.
- 27:00Tony D.: You don't like JetBlue.
- 27:01Tony D.: Jetblue has had a lot of negative reviews from people I've known.
- 27:03Tony D.: Jetblue is spirit called hell from a lot of people that I know.
- 27:04Tony D.: Most people prefer Delta mainly because they got points and all that craziness not in first class.
- 27:10Tony D.: I have flown Delta.
- 27:11Tony D.: I used to fly US Airways.
- 27:14Tony D.: I used to have points with them do they even exist anymore?
- 27:17Tony D.: They're in the United and right now they're catching some Blues, but recently I've flown Frontier, Delta and Contour.
- 27:26Carmen Lezeth: I don't even know half of those.
- 27:28Tony D.: Frontier gets a lot of crazy reviews, but Frontier has room on these seats so I'm good with Frontier.
- 27:33Tony D.: I don't have to have the big old movie.
- 27:34Carmen Lezeth: There was a guy sitting next to me.
- 27:35Carmen Lezeth: So Aruba to Newark?
- 27:38Carmen Lezeth: Right, there's no first class.
- 27:39Carmen Lezeth: There was this guy.
- 27:40Carmen Lezeth: He must have been been I don't know six, seven or something, and he was sitting like the next aisle over from me, but we were both in the aisle seat and his knees I was like I ain't gonna complain at all, I'm just gonna shut the fuck up.
- 27:52Carmen Lezeth: I'm like he is like basically his knees are to his face.
- 27:55Carmen Lezeth: You know?
- 27:55Carmen Lezeth: I'm like how?
- 27:56Carmen Lezeth: Why are they trying to squash everybody in?
- 27:58Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean?
- 27:59Carmen Lezeth: Oh yeah, melanie, they've redone Newark Airport.
- 28:02Carmen Lezeth: It's really it's been a long time since I can say I've been in a beautiful airport, but they've done a really great job with the Newark Airport.
- 28:10Carmen Lezeth: At least A wherever JetBlue is.
- 28:12Carmen Lezeth: You know how they have different.
- 28:14Carmen Lezeth: I don't know.
- 28:15Carmen Lezeth: I didn't walk the whole airport, but A.
- 28:18Tony D.: I thought Aruba was more in the Atlantic.
- 28:19Tony D.: I was wrong.
- 28:20Tony D.: I was thinking about Bermuda.
- 28:23Carmen Lezeth: No, no, no, it's right there.
- 28:24Carmen Lezeth: Oh my God, can you guys tell I'm like half asleep.
- 28:28Rick Costa: Definitely.
- 28:31Carmen Lezeth: Or high One of those.
- 28:32Carmen Lezeth: No, I'm just kidding.
- 28:33Carmen Lezeth: It's legal when you're right.
- 28:35Carmen Lezeth: Yeah right, I'm so tired I'm like feeling myself Aruba is right, that's right.
- 28:41Carmen Lezeth: That's Florida, puerto Rico.
- 28:42Tony D.: It's right there, it's right below South America.
- 28:44Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, it's right there right on the right, like it's up.
- 28:47Carmen Lezeth: It's part of the Netherlands, though.
- 28:48Carmen Lezeth: It's part of the Netherlands so, but it's right there near Colombia.
- 28:51Carmen Lezeth: I think we were like 10 miles from Colombia.
- 28:55Tony D.: Yes, frontier is still around, you'll see them in are not comparable to JetBlue, are they?
- 29:01Tony D.: They're more comparable to Southwest the major airlines.
- 29:04Tony D.: They kind of put you down there below Southwest.
- 29:08Carmen Lezeth: No, no but like.
- 29:08Carmen Lezeth: Southwest wait Frontier and Spirit are below Southwest.
- 29:12Tony D.: I'm thinking a lot of people's ratings.
- 29:13Tony D.: Yes, Southwest had a lot.
- 29:14Carmen Lezeth: Oh my God, I won't even get on a Southwest flight.
- 29:15Carmen Lezeth: That's how bougie I am Right now.
- 29:17Tony D.: Southwest is catching a lot of hell.
- 29:22Tony D.: Cynthia, there are still.
- 29:23Tony D.: Like I said, you got leg room, like you did in the 80s.
- 29:24Tony D.: In the 80s, we was able to sit in our seats comfortably.
- 29:27Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I don't know.
- 29:28Tony D.: Ever since 9-11, them seats are so damn tight it's ridiculous.
- 29:31Carmen Lezeth: I was telling Cynthia because we're going to book our next flight.
- 29:34Carmen Lezeth: Our next trip is me and Cynthia going to Scotland and Ireland.
- 29:42Carmen Lezeth: We said say what you want.
- 29:43Carmen Lezeth: But the thing that bothers me is that's the way everyone should be treated on a flight.
- 29:46Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean Like I'm sure back in the day that's how everyone was treated with respect, Not like cattle.
- 29:52Carmen Lezeth: And look, I fly coach when I have to, especially when it's like a quick trip and I can't organize it and use it.
- 29:58Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean Like, like I go, but it's it's just too much for me to think that I'm gonna go on vacation and not be a complete bitch if I'm flying back and coach in some.
- 30:10Carmen Lezeth: You know I'm being serious, like, so if you're gonna do it, do it right.
- 30:12Carmen Lezeth: So I told Cynthia, if we go and traveling together, we go first class.
- 30:16Carmen Lezeth: So she's like uh-huh, like we going?
- 30:18Carmen Lezeth: Uh, bougie, call me what.
- 30:20Carmen Lezeth: Yes, bougie class bougie class look at Audreyrey just said they say spirit alliance has the worst service.
- 30:27Carmen Lezeth: And then mario said frontier and spirit are awful.
- 30:29Carmen Lezeth: Why am I gonna waste my money?
- 30:31Tony D.: that's just gonna make me miserable.
- 30:32Tony D.: It's almost like if you don't fly delta, you ain't flying right in the united states.
- 30:35Tony D.: That's a lot of what it is for the most part is delta, good, delta, good for coach.
- 30:39Tony D.: I flew them out for coach good for a lot people and they got the movie on the screen.
- 30:43Tony D.: The movies are pretty current, if you will.
- 30:44Tony D.: So if you got family or kids, once you get in your seat, just sit down.
- 30:47Tony D.: Suicide ain't even got no work.
- 30:49Tony D.: Once you get all the accommodations and everything on there, they got plugs in the seats for your devices.
- 30:54Tony D.: I always charge everything up while I'm on the plane, all the flights too.
- 31:05Tony D.: But doesn't everyone, jet?
- 31:05Tony D.: And I do that on purpose.
- 31:06Tony D.: I watch too many movies In my playing recs.
- 31:06Tony D.: I want everything to kick on so they can GPS and find me.
- 31:07Tony D.: I want my laptop, my phone, my iPad, everything.
- 31:08Tony D.: I'm good for hours.
- 31:09Carmen Lezeth: I know friends that have flown with Spirit and they will never fly with them again.
- 31:12Carmen Lezeth: No, I don't see the point.
- 31:15Carmen Lezeth: Look it, when I have to go home for a funeral or something like that, I'll do whatever you have to do that quick, quick.
- 31:20Carmen Lezeth: But yes, cynthia, I liked it when people used to dress up to fly, like back when pan am was around how they dress in pjs.
- 31:27Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I don't want to dress up on a flight.
- 31:29Tony D.: Sorry, thank you, but no I'm not going to cover my pajamas, but I don't want to have to be formal to fly.
- 31:35Tony D.: I'll be semi-formal.
- 31:36Tony D.: I want to be casual.
- 31:38Tony D.: I wear my jeans, my t-shirt, have my jacket on hey, jesse, how are you nice?
- 31:41Tony D.: To see you.
- 31:43Carmen Lezeth: Thank you for saying it first I mean cynthia, I think I liked back then, probably, like, probably, you felt better about getting dressed up because you weren't thrown in back like cattle.
- 31:52Carmen Lezeth: I am shook by how small the seats are and I'm not like that fat of a person and I was all like this is not comfortable.
- 31:59Carmen Lezeth: Right, this is not comfortable.
- 32:01Carmen Lezeth: It's when I went to the funeral and it was horrible and I thought to how is anybody else who's a little bit bigger or taller, like I'm not even that tall, I'm only five, four, like how is it possible for somebody to be comfortable?
- 32:12Carmen Lezeth: What did you think?
- 32:14Carmen Lezeth: I was Five, nine.
- 32:18Tony D.: I'm almost a whole foot taller than you.
- 32:20Carmen Lezeth: Well, I I'm short, I think I'm average.
- 32:23Carmen Lezeth: I think most women are about 5'3" 5'4" 5'5", 5'6".
- 32:27Tony D.: You're right.
- 32:30Rick Costa: How is he dissing me for being 5'4"?
- 32:36Carmen Lezeth: Hey, Google, what is the average height for the American woman in the United States?
- 32:40Carmen Lezeth: Well, I guess that would be the American woman.
- 32:42Rick Costa: American woman.
- 32:45Carmen Lezeth: Oh, it didn't hear me.
- 32:46Carmen Lezeth: Hey, google, wait, wait, wait.
- 32:48Carmen Lezeth: What is the average?
- 32:49Carmen Lezeth: Oh, it just got, never mind.

- 32:52Tony D.: Google doesn't want to piss you off, cynthia says she's 5'4" too.
- 32:57Carmen Lezeth: Well, I know Cynthia.
- 32:58Carmen Lezeth: Hey Google.
- 32:59Carmen Lezeth: What is the average height for the American woman?
- 33:04Rick Costa: Melanie's five, two.
- 33:05Rick Costa: Oh, what is the average height for women or female raised in the United States?
- 33:11Carmen Lezeth: The average height is currently five feet four inches, or around 63.5 inches.
- 33:15Carmen Lezeth: Thank you, thank you, google.
- 33:16Tony D.: Hey Siri, what is the average height for an American woman in the United States?
- 33:20Tony D.: I'll compare us an average height of American woman in the United States.
- 33:25Tony D.: By comparison, the average height of an American woman is 63.6 inches, or 5.3 inches.
- 33:28Tony D.: Healthlinecom.
- 33:29Carmen Lezeth: Oh, okay, so Siri don't speak.
- 33:32Tony D.: Mine don't.
- 33:32Tony D.: I got it on mute.
- 33:33Carmen Lezeth: Oh, Siri, don't speak.
- 33:34Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, 5'4 is average.
- 33:36Carmen Lezeth: Hey Google, what's the average height for an American male?
- 33:43Tony D.: I am saying the other way.
- 33:44Carmen Lezeth: According to Very Well Health, the average height for an American male I am saying the other, according to Mary Will Health, the average height for an American man is 5 feet 9 inches, that's slightly above the global average height for males, which is 5 feet 7.5 inches.
- 33:56Tony D.: I must be superhuman.
- 34:02Carmen Lezeth: So the average height for a man.
- 34:04Carmen Lezeth: In the United States, melanie is 5 feet9", but around the world it's 5'7" and Tony is 5'7" and, tony, you said, you're what?
- 34:10Carmen Lezeth: 6'2".
- 34:11Tony D.: I'm 6'2".
- 34:11Tony D.: I'm 6'2".
- 34:17Carmen Lezeth: That told me nothing.
- 34:19Rick Costa: You said 5'9".
- 34:20Rick Costa: Wait, look at Audrey.
- 34:21Carmen Lezeth: She's like I used to be 5'5".
- 34:23Carmen Lezeth: Now I've shrunk to 5'4".
- 34:24Carmen Lezeth: Jesse, you're 5'9 to 10.
- 34:24Carmen Lezeth: Wait, look at Audrey, she's like I used to be 5'5.
- 34:24Carmen Lezeth: Now I've shrunk to 5'4.
- 34:25Rick Costa: Jessie, you're 5'9?
- 34:26Carmen Lezeth: You're not 5'0.
- 34:26Carmen Lezeth: Oh no, you're 5'4.
- 34:27Carmen Lezeth: You were saying men, right.
- 34:29Rick Costa: That's a real thing, because I used to be 5'10 and now I'm 5'8.
- 34:36Carmen Lezeth: But, I got scoliosis.
- 34:37Carmen Lezeth: So I mean, hello, oh, but so you, back in the day, in the 80s, we would do the hair.
- 34:42Carmen Lezeth: No, it's true, Because that would make more sense.
- 34:44Carmen Lezeth: She's not that old.
- 34:45Carmen Lezeth: She's younger than I am.
- 34:46Carmen Lezeth: There's no way you've shrunk already.
- 34:48Carmen Lezeth: I think it was a hair thing.
- 34:50Carmen Lezeth: We had our hair high up and so we would do it like that, because I used to be like 5'5".
- 34:54Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 34:59Tony D.: I wasn't 5'5", got you my mom's 5'5".
- 35:01Tony D.: I think I towel over her.
- 35:03Tony D.: I really do.
- 35:04Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, yeah, I guess most.
- 35:06Tony D.: I mean, I guess most, men I know are probably six feet something, I mean when I say no, I mean dated or whatever, but I never Some of the guys I meet are so tall I'm like average height compared to a lot of guys.
- 35:15Tony D.: I got guys that are taller than me, guys that are broader than up, which kind of surprised me.
- 35:22Carmen Lezeth: Cynthia's making fun of her sister, saying her hair made her 5'9".
- 35:25Carmen Lezeth: We all did that, so Mario said my daughter's 5'10" and he's 6 feet tall.
- 35:32Carmen Lezeth: Mario, you're 6 feet tall.
- 35:34Carmen Lezeth: I don't remember that.
- 35:36Tony D.: I think you're lying.
- 35:37Tony D.: Are you 6 feet tall?
- 35:38Tony D.: How long has it been since you've seen him, Carmen?
- 35:40Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, it's been a long time.
- 35:41Carmen Lezeth: I guess I love Mario.
- 35:43Carmen Lezeth: He's so cool, he's awesome.
- 35:45Tony D.: Mario's a cool dude.
- 35:48Carmen Lezeth: So, Rick, are you going to come with me to Aruba?
- 35:50Rick Costa: If it's possible, why not?
- 35:53Carmen Lezeth: Tony, you going to come Look at Tony.
- 35:54Carmen Lezeth: He's like what about me?
- 35:54Carmen Lezeth: Imagine if we could do a podcast from out there, a live stream.
- 35:58Carmen Lezeth: That would be so cool.
- 35:58Tony D.: I wouldn't guarantee an international trip for me before next year.
- 36:01Tony D.: Right now, right now, I wouldn't.
- 36:03Carmen Lezeth: Did you think I was making plans before next year for us to go?
- 36:08Tony D.: I was just kind of hypothetically saying Hypothetically by next year I probably could do it.
- 36:14Carmen Lezeth: If I win the lottery, I'll take us all to.
- 36:17Tony D.: Aruba, Florida.
- 36:18Tony D.: I'll work on a time off Give me until September.
- 36:26Carmen Lezeth: I would hook you up.
- 36:26Carmen Lezeth: Why would you even care?
- 36:27Carmen Lezeth: I would hook you up.
- 36:28Tony D.: Because I don't want to take time off and lose it.
- 36:30Tony D.: I'm there.
- 36:34Carmen Lezeth: You're so weird.
- 36:34Carmen Lezeth: What if I won the lottery and I was like Tony, you're going to be one of my consultants and I'm going to pay you $100,000?
- 36:40Tony D.: a year.
- 36:41Tony D.: I'm on my motherfucking way more.
- 36:43Carmen Lezeth: I'm just saying what do I need with a billion dollars if I can't hook up friends?
- 36:49Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 36:49Carmen Lezeth: That would be funny.
- 36:51Tony D.: Depends on what you want to do.
- 36:51Tony D.: I mean, we had that conversation before.
- 36:55Carmen Lezeth: Right, what do you think I would do something to fear?
- 36:56Tony D.: I don't know what you would do.
- 36:57Tony D.: I know what I would do.
- 36:58Tony D.: What would?
- 36:59Carmen Lezeth: you do.
- 36:59Carmen Lezeth: Would you hook me up?
- 37:00Carmen Lezeth: Like I just said, I would hook you up.
- 37:02Tony D.: Probably for a year at $100,000,.
- 37:03Carmen Lezeth: yes, Just for one year $100,000?
- 37:05Carmen Lezeth: .
- 37:05Tony D.: Well, we got to see his probation every year.
- 37:06Tony D.: Then we got to work on the contract extension.
- 37:10Carmen Lezeth: Okay, businessman, that's what I like a businessman.
- 37:13Carmen Lezeth: He ain't putting unrecognizable on there.
- 37:16Tony D.: I've always had plans for money like that.
- 37:17Tony D.: I just haven't had it yet.
- 37:19Tony D.: But as I've grown older, I know more what I'm going to do.
- 37:23Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, what would you do?
- 37:24Carmen Lezeth: What would be?
- 37:25Carmen Lezeth: Okay, let's pretend.
- 37:26Carmen Lezeth: Let's pretend.
- 37:27Carmen Lezeth: Wait, wait, wait, wait.
- 37:28Carmen Lezeth: You find out.
- 37:29Carmen Lezeth: Tomorrow morning you have the winning ticket.
- 37:31Carmen Lezeth: You're in your house, checked it on your internet and then you double-checked it with your phone app to make sure it is.
- 37:38Carmen Lezeth: What's the first thing you do?
- 37:41Tony D.: Cash it in.
- 37:43Carmen Lezeth: So you're going to tell anybody or you're going to cash it.
- 37:47Tony D.: I don't trust a bunch of people.
- 37:48Tony D.: Honestly, I would probably go find me a financial consultant and a lawyer.
- 37:56Carmen Lezeth: Hello, hello, hello, hello.
- 37:57Carmen Lezeth: I wasn't going to tell anybody.
- 37:58Tony D.: You're welcome.
- 37:59Tony D.: I wasn't going to tell anybody.
- 38:00Tony D.: You're welcome.
- 38:01Carmen Lezeth: Cynthia said Tony, my co-worker saw the show last week and said you are hilarious.
- 38:05Carmen Lezeth: I said thank you I didn't see his show last week because I was in that room.
- 38:09Tony D.: Was it last week or was it the one last week?
- 38:12Carmen Lezeth: Not with us, Maybe with us.
- 38:13Carmen Lezeth: She means he was kind of funny last week you couldn't really hear me, so he can have whatever Jesse said.
- 38:19Carmen Lezeth: With that much money you can live off the interest.
- 38:21Carmen Lezeth: I would take care of all my family and close friends.
- 38:24Tony D.: Jesse, I agree with the 100%, depending on how much you spend.
- 38:28Carmen Lezeth: Audrey, wait, wait, wait.
- 38:29Carmen Lezeth: I want to answer Audrey's question.
- 38:31Carmen Lezeth: Right now.
- 38:31Carmen Lezeth: I don't know where to begin.
- 38:33Carmen Lezeth: Your first call is to Carmen in.
- 38:35Tony D.: LA, I will hook you up.
- 38:37Carmen Lezeth: What are you talking about?
- 38:38Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, you should get a consultant to help if you want.
- 38:41Carmen Lezeth: I'm a good one, I'm a good one, and you know where I get that advice from.
- 38:45Tony D.: I get that advice from what Shaq said.
- 38:46Tony D.: Shaq had a lot of good financial advice when he first got his big contract.
- 38:49Tony D.: How he's loyal to him I like how he's given the proper financial advice and I've seen the numbers that he said was his income.
- 38:54Tony D.: He's at a level I want to be at.
- 39:04Carmen Lezeth: He really is.
- 39:04Carmen Lezeth: He's a good person, though he also gives money away all the time.
- 39:06Carmen Lezeth: He helps people all the time and I'll talk about non-profits, something.
- 39:07Carmen Lezeth: He's just regular people.
- 39:08Carmen Lezeth: He's like he sees you in a store and he's and you're a kid or something.
- 39:10Carmen Lezeth: He's like you never had a bike, go buy a bike.
- 39:12Carmen Lezeth: Go get a bike.
- 39:12Carmen Lezeth: I'm gonna get it for you, okay exactly, exactly that's what I'm saying.
- 39:16Carmen Lezeth: I'll hook you up.
- 39:17Carmen Lezeth: I'll hook you up no, I think look at.
- 39:19Carmen Lezeth: I think the first thing people should do is remember.
- 39:21Tony D.: Hey.
- 39:24Carmen Lezeth: I think the first thing people should really know if you do win, is you probably shouldn't tell everyone.
- 39:29Carmen Lezeth: So Jesse said in all States, can you put it in a trust so your name isn't all over the internet as the winner?
- 39:34Carmen Lezeth: I think you can do that in Massachusetts.
- 39:36Carmen Lezeth: In California, you cannot you.
- 39:37Carmen Lezeth: It is public.
- 39:38Carmen Lezeth: But here's the thing, here's my rule.
- 39:40Carmen Lezeth: My first rule would be anybody who asks me for money will not get any.
- 39:45Carmen Lezeth: That is the first rule.
- 39:47Carmen Lezeth: Anybody Let me just say it again so everybody understands anybody who asks me for money will not get a penny.
- 39:53Carmen Lezeth: And I know who my friends are.
- 39:55Carmen Lezeth: I'm not going to be confused by that when I all of a sudden have money.
- 39:58Carmen Lezeth: But yeah, you could also put it in a trust.
- 40:00Carmen Lezeth: But you know what A trust doesn't really is not the end all be all, because I have clients who put all their money in a trust and their kids ended up changing that trust with the right lawyers because they have so much money they were able to change it.
- 40:12Carmen Lezeth: So you have to just start Again.
- 40:16Carmen Lezeth: I said this a million times before money ain't nothing but a thing.
- 40:19Carmen Lezeth: People get all confused when they get money.
- 40:20Carmen Lezeth: You got to stay true to who you are, and that's why the first thing you do is put it in a safe deposit box after you take pictures of it.
- 40:28Carmen Lezeth: Then go meet the lottery people and talk to them and get advice.
- 40:34Rick Costa: And then go to your real friends, get advice for them and then make some choices.
- 40:37Rick Costa: I'm sorry, Wait, wait, wait.
- 40:38Rick Costa: Let me just see.
- 40:39Carmen Lezeth: Mario said I would definitely do a lot of random acts of kindness.
- 40:42Carmen Lezeth: Kimmy Kelly said can I hold a dollar?
- 40:45Carmen Lezeth: Like oh my God, I'm your favorite cousin.
- 40:47Carmen Lezeth: Yes, you're my favorite.
- 40:49Carmen Lezeth: Mario said if we weren't friends before, don't ask me Right.
- 40:53Carmen Lezeth: And Melanie said make sure you pay taxes out of your winnings.
- 40:56Carmen Lezeth: In California you won't have a choice.
- 40:57Carmen Lezeth: Most places you won't have a choice, like if you think you won a million dollars, just assume you won 500,000.
- 41:02Carmen Lezeth: Just cut it in half.
- 41:03Carmen Lezeth: And then remember the lottery commissions.
- 41:07Carmen Lezeth: I've read all, I've investigated everything.
- 41:09Carmen Lezeth: The lottery commissions will give you advice.
- 41:11Carmen Lezeth: They'll give you lawyers, financial people.
- 41:12Carmen Lezeth: They'll give you all these people.
- 41:13Carmen Lezeth: Do not hire any of them, just go sit with them.
- 41:16Carmen Lezeth: Learn everything.
- 41:17Carmen Lezeth: Then talk to people you trust.
- 41:21Carmen Lezeth: No, seriously, then make a really good, honest decision for yourself, what you feel comfortable with.
- 41:26Carmen Lezeth: Yes.
- 41:27Carmen Lezeth: I agree with that, whether you have money or not, everyone should know somebody who's a financial advisor, a lawyer.
- 41:32Carmen Lezeth: You should know people be.
- 41:34Carmen Lezeth: It's kind of like getting a therapist when you're in crisis.
- 41:36Carmen Lezeth: You should already know who a therapist is or where you can get therapy help before you get in crisis.
- 41:41Carmen Lezeth: Right, that's always the better way to do it.
- 41:43Carmen Lezeth: It's the same thing with winning a lot of money.
- 41:44Tony D.: It's like when you sit with the states.
- 41:45Tony D.: For some states that want to be anonymous, you got to pay a fee and it's like 20% of the winnings, if you will.
- 41:51Carmen Lezeth: Well, in California you have to pay anyway.
- 41:53Carmen Lezeth: That's how they make money, right?
- 41:56Tony D.: Is they take part of the winnings.
- 41:58Tony D.: It's the press estate.
- 41:59Tony D.: You've got to pay 20% of your winnings to remain anonymous.
- 42:02Tony D.: So by the time you pay the taxes, is that true?
- 42:04Tony D.: Yeah, for the taxes, they're not admitted in certain states.
- 42:08Tony D.: You just say California.
- 42:08Tony D.: Like I said, I've heard this Because we looked at it the first time and it hit a billion.
- 42:10Tony D.: Me and the wife had researched all that, we did all the numbers and we were looking at all that craz it.
- 42:14Tony D.: It's not about how much you win or how you live off of it.
- 42:26Carmen Lezeth: It's about what you, the person you become.
- 42:29Carmen Lezeth: The fact is, most people who win the lottery end up broke right, I mean, the statistic is or they have a worse life and they wish they never won the lottery to begin with.
- 42:37Carmen Lezeth: So, yeah, that's why I keep saying money ain't nothing, but a thing like yes, do I wish I'd win?
- 42:42Carmen Lezeth: Sure, because I think I'd be excellent at it.
- 42:44Carmen Lezeth: I think everyone does.
- 42:44Carmen Lezeth: But I actually don't even want that much money.
- 42:47Carmen Lezeth: I don't.
- 42:47Carmen Lezeth: I don't need that.
- 42:48Carmen Lezeth: I don't want $1 billion.
- 42:50Carmen Lezeth: That's crazy.
- 42:50Carmen Lezeth: I would give it all away.
- 42:51Tony D.: I'm greedy but.
- 42:52Carmen Lezeth: I'm not kidding, I would give it Boys and Girls Club of Dorchester and fund other inner city organizations that provide programs for kids.
- 43:08Carmen Lezeth: That would be my dream.
- 43:08Carmen Lezeth: I love that Cynthia says yes, jesse, I'm with you.
- 43:12Carmen Lezeth: California's tax is 40% and the Fed's 30%.
- 43:14Carmen Lezeth: Yep, yeah, it's not a lot.
- 43:16Carmen Lezeth: Look, it doesn't matter.
- 43:17Carmen Lezeth: It's money you got for putting in a dollar or two bucks for putting in a dollar or two bucks.
- 43:22Tony D.: Are those solid numbers?
- 43:23Tony D.: Are those a static number?
- 43:24Tony D.: I thought the Fed tax was 26 to 28% everywhere.
- 43:30Carmen Lezeth: I love how we're talking like we really have one and we really have to make sure we know what the taxes are.
- 43:32Carmen Lezeth: I think in every state it's going to be very, very different.
- 43:34Tony D.: You know what is crazy, Carmen?
- 43:35Tony D.: If you win the ticket in another state, you got to pay taxes for both of those things.
- 43:45Carmen Lezeth: So when you was, you bought tickets for that's crazy.
- 43:45Carmen Lezeth: No, it's not, it's free, it's two bucks.
- 43:46Carmen Lezeth: Why is it crazy?
- 43:46Carmen Lezeth: You put two bucks in and you're gambling.
- 43:47Carmen Lezeth: Why is that crazy?
- 43:47Carmen Lezeth: You?
- 43:48Tony D.: put two bucks in, because if I want a billion dollars, I want my billion dollars.
- 43:50Carmen Lezeth: No, it's two dollars.
- 43:51Carmen Lezeth: You got to look at it that way.
- 43:52Carmen Lezeth: What did you tell me I was going to get?
- 43:54Tony D.: I want my jackpot.
- 44:01Carmen Lezeth: Okay, they don't, yeah, but why is everyone so selfish and self-absorbed?
- 44:06Carmen Lezeth: The reason why the lottery exists, you know, is to help to create monies and income for the states that you're buying it for.
- 44:13Carmen Lezeth: That's what the lottery is for.
- 44:14Carmen Lezeth: They go to public things like teachers and whatever.
- 44:17Carmen Lezeth: So if you win it, you should be grateful that half of it is going.
- 44:20Tony D.: I agree.
- 44:20Tony D.: If you're going to say something, mean it.
- 44:25Carmen Lezeth: They said a billion dollars no, I'm okay with someone else winning the billions and I slid under the radar.
- 44:30Carmen Lezeth: Melanie and I are on the same page.
- 44:32Carmen Lezeth: That's what I'm saying melanie see melanie here's my, here's my deal I want two hundred thousand dollars a year for the rest of my life, for so, for like 50 years, let's say I can live another 50 years.
- 44:41Carmen Lezeth: I can live off of $200,000 a year easily.
- 44:44Carmen Lezeth: And that's what?
- 44:45Carmen Lezeth: $10 million?
- 44:46Carmen Lezeth: That's $10 million.
- 44:47Tony D.: So that's all I need.
- 44:48Tony D.: That's all I need, and the rest of it give it away.
- 44:50Tony D.: You get $20,000 a year where your standards increase, where your comfortability of life increased, to where you're going to want more.
- 44:57Carmen Lezeth: Me.
- 44:59Tony D.: You don't know me?
- 45:00Rick Costa: No, it wouldn't.
- 45:00Rick Costa: No, it wouldn't.
- 45:02Rick Costa: What year is her car?
- 45:02Rick Costa: Toni.
- 45:03Carmen Lezeth: Exactly 2004 Honda Civic.
- 45:05Tony D.: Hybrid.
- 45:06Tony D.: You will start spending on what you're used to, but as you gain more and you start to see more, you may want more.
- 45:12Carmen Lezeth: I mean, I know this is going to sound like I'm good at two shoes and being whatever, but I'm going to tell you something solid and I think anybody who knows me this to me when I have it, I give it away and when I don't have it, I'm gonna let y'all know and I'm gonna tell you you know what you got 20 bucks.
- 45:27Carmen Lezeth: I need 20 bucks, whatever.
- 45:28Carmen Lezeth: I'm not, I don't.
- 45:28Carmen Lezeth: I.
- 45:28Carmen Lezeth: I've seen so much money, corrupt people, good people and and I see how much people think material stuff matters and and look at, I'm not saying I'm perfect, but when it comes to money, I'm about as close to perfect as it comes, because I just don't give a shit.
- 45:43Carmen Lezeth: If I had the money, I would help all my friends that I can help and all the people I can help.
- 45:47Carmen Lezeth: I would put aside, like I just said, $10 million for myself to live off of.
- 45:50Carmen Lezeth: $200,000 a year for the next 50 years would be more than enough.
- 45:54Carmen Lezeth: I might buy myself a new car.
- 45:56Tony D.: Might buy myself a new car and then turn around and give the rest away.
- 46:00Tony D.: Let's do this properly.
- 46:02Tony D.: Step on the sofa you're standing.
- 46:03Tony D.: It's $20,000 a year.
- 46:04Tony D.: For the next one, 20 years 50 years.
- 46:06Carmen Lezeth: Let's say 50 years, I'm going to live About a fifth year.
- 46:09Tony D.: I don't even know what I would spend, and I can say that honestly.
- 46:12Tony D.: But the first thing I'm going to do I'm going to get a house.
- 46:14Tony D.: I'm going to do with this money.
- 46:21Tony D.: Mind you, people want to take the time to do what they want to do, get to where they want to be in life with that money.
- 46:26Tony D.: I understand what you're saying as far as money is not everything, but the majority of us have been broke before and as we got better jobs, we didn't go back to that lifestyle because we were able to live better.
- 46:34Tony D.: So if I had that, yeah, by the fifth year I'll probably be like you.
- 46:40Tony D.: Okay, now, what am I going to do?
- 46:41Carmen Lezeth: Let me just read what Jesse said.
- 46:42Carmen Lezeth: We are talking about as if we win because we are putting the positive angel exactly power of positive thinking.
- 46:47Carmen Lezeth: Melanie says does that money really go to where they say it goes?
- 46:50Carmen Lezeth: I'm a trust in the positivity and brilliance and I have faith in people.
- 46:55Carmen Lezeth: I don't think people are stealing.
- 46:56Carmen Lezeth: You know, like I just don't believe in a lot of that.
- 47:00Carmen Lezeth: At least here in California they actually, if you go to the California lottery website, they show you where all the money goes.
- 47:05Carmen Lezeth: I don't know what more we can do with that, but I'm not going to bring negative energy to it.
- 47:09Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 47:09Carmen Lezeth: Like I just I believe most people are good, no one's trying to.
- 47:12Carmen Lezeth: It's a really good question there are people who scam, but it's not everyone and it's not all the time.
- 47:19Tony D.: You on the elections we have here in the state when they talk about the school funding.
- 47:21Tony D.: There was an issue with one of the bills because there was something underlying and a lot of people were missing.
- 47:26Tony D.: So I get exactly what you're saying.
- 47:28Carmen Lezeth: And even sometimes people do.
- 47:29Carmen Lezeth: But here's the thing.
- 47:30Carmen Lezeth: So, but sometimes people make mistakes, people mean something or whatever.
- 47:34Carmen Lezeth: Like everything isn't nefarious, like everything isn't somebody trying to school you over.
- 47:37Carmen Lezeth: We have to stop thinking that way.
- 47:40Carmen Lezeth: But wait, go back to you, tony, what you were saying, because I wanted to get back to that.
- 47:44Carmen Lezeth: You were saying what?
- 47:46Carmen Lezeth: Say it again.
- 47:47Tony D.: As far as what I would do with the money.
- 47:48Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, what we were talking about before.
- 47:50Tony D.: The first five years.
- 47:50Tony D.: I know what I would do Afterwards.
- 47:52Tony D.: I'd probably be like, okay, now what am I going to?
- 47:53Carmen Lezeth: do.
- 47:54Carmen Lezeth: Oh, you were saying, oh, wait, right, that's what I want to say.
- 47:56Carmen Lezeth: You said so.
- 47:57Carmen Lezeth: A lot of us used to have a different kind of money.
- 48:00Carmen Lezeth: We live a certain way and I agree with that.
- 48:02Carmen Lezeth: But here's the thing at some point and I'm saying this for anyone else at some point, what more do you need?
- 48:09Carmen Lezeth: Like, if you buy six houses and you have six cars?
- 48:13Carmen Lezeth: I mean, at some point now you're just feeding your life with materialism.
- 48:16Carmen Lezeth: If you don't have friendships and family and love in your life, all the money in the world isn't going to fix that and you will end up becoming a lot of these people who end up winning the lottery and end up being miserable because money isn't going to take the place of all that crap.
- 48:29Carmen Lezeth: You want.
- 48:29Tony D.: If you go that direction, I agree with you.
- 48:32Carmen Lezeth: As opposed to what.
- 48:33Carmen Lezeth: As opposed to what.
- 48:34Tony D.: When you get the money, you still want to start doing good.
- 48:36Tony D.: Once you get the way you want to be, you want to start doing some good with it.
- 48:38Tony D.: Most people will go to the church.
- 48:39Tony D.: Most people will go to the neighborhood.
- 48:40Tony D.: A lot of people are also going to go to their families.
- 48:41Tony D.: Like I said, after that, you're going to reach a specific point and, trust me, about a fifth year I would have taken care of a lot of people, including myself.
- 48:47Tony D.: You want to bank it.
- 48:49Tony D.: You want to put it somewhere that's going to gain some interest.
- 48:52Tony D.: You want to put it somewhere that's going to be secure.
- 48:56Carmen Lezeth: How about if you started with you know what?
- 48:58Carmen Lezeth: I don't need to work anymore, but I'm going to double my salary for the first year.
- 49:02Carmen Lezeth: Take the time to understand what this money is.
- 49:05Carmen Lezeth: Put it all aside right now in a trust, and take the time to understand the amount of time I have with just this little bit.
- 49:13Carmen Lezeth: So if you're making $100,000 a year, you win the lottery, say you know what?
- 49:17Carmen Lezeth: Now I don't have to work, I'm just going to give myself $200,000 a year and not spend anything else.
- 49:23Carmen Lezeth: Take the next year just to understand what just happened to me.
- 49:26Tony D.: Yeah, I could do it easy.
- 49:26Tony D.: You see what I mean.
- 49:27Carmen Lezeth: Like that would be a smart thing to do Of course I'm going to buy this.
- 49:31Carmen Lezeth: I'm going to do that.
- 49:33Carmen Lezeth: I'm going to do that.
- 49:34Carmen Lezeth: You could still have a joyful.
- 49:36Carmen Lezeth: I'm just saying taking your time.
- 49:37Carmen Lezeth: That's the other mistake people make.
- 49:39Carmen Lezeth: All of a sudden they have money and they're buying any random house whatsoever without really like you should never buy anything you don't really really want and love Agreed.
- 49:48Carmen Lezeth: Question for you Go ahead, Greg.
- 49:52Rick Costa: What would I do?
- 49:54Rick Costa: Family is a big deal to me, always has been.
- 49:56Carmen Lezeth: Your family, Carmen.
- 49:58Rick Costa: Sí, sí, carmen, también porque ella también es portuguesa, ella es familia, exactamente.
- 50:04Rick Costa: But yeah, I would love, well, first of all pay the bills, pay house, blah, blah, blah, all the stuff everybody obviously is going to do first, but then I would just love to just go visit family, because we got family in Portugal, we got family in Canada, we got family in Bermuda, we got family probably in other places for my mother, if nothing else, you know, cause it might be the last time you see her you know.
- 50:24Rick Costa: So, yeah, I would definitely like go all over the place and just have a good time with mom, as long as I got her, you know yeah.
- 50:31Carmen Lezeth: And she could have a private nurse.
- 50:33Carmen Lezeth: You could have somebody travel with you, an assistant, whatever.
- 50:35Carmen Lezeth: You could have everything you need so that she could be taken care of and you can enjoy your time.
- 50:39Carmen Lezeth: That would be such a blessing.
- 50:40Carmen Lezeth: Oh, I would love to win, just to give you all that.
- 50:42Carmen Lezeth: No, I'm serious.
- 50:44Rick Costa: I know, I know.
- 50:46Carmen Lezeth: That would be so cool.
- 50:47Carmen Lezeth: Okay, then afterwards.
- 50:48Carmen Lezeth: Okay, so you've done your traveling meeting your family.
- 50:50Carmen Lezeth: We're five years in.
- 50:52Carmen Lezeth: You still haven't given Tony any money whatsoever, because he's rude and not paying attention to you now.
- 50:55Carmen Lezeth: So what would you then do?
- 50:56Carmen Lezeth: What?
- 50:59Tony D.: are you watching on?
- 51:00Carmen Lezeth: TikTok.
- 51:01Tony D.: I'm not looking on TikTok.
- 51:02Tony D.: That's what you're trying to be.
- 51:04Carmen Lezeth: Whatever.
- 51:05Carmen Lezeth: Okay, we're going to let Tony go because he's busy Go ahead.
- 51:08Carmen Lezeth: Rick, because Rick was intensely listening to you when you were talking.
- 51:11Carmen Lezeth: What did he say?
- 51:12Carmen Lezeth: I want you to tell me verbatim what he just said.
- 51:13Carmen Lezeth: He said I want you to tell me verbatim why he's just a liar.
- 51:16Carmen Lezeth: Okay, go ahead.
- 51:17Carmen Lezeth: So now, rick, what would you do?
- 51:18Rick Costa: go ahead I mean I don't have huge aspirations, but if I didn't have to work, then my creative side would go into overtime, go over, write songs, write books.
- 51:29Rick Costa: Just creative side would explode.
- 51:31Rick Costa: So just if I didn't have to work, yeah, I would be just creating lots and lots of stuff.
- 51:36Carmen Lezeth: I love that.
- 51:36Carmen Lezeth: I love that.
- 51:37Carmen Lezeth: After traveling, though, do you think you would?
- 51:40Carmen Lezeth: Would you keep your house or would you buy a new house?
- 51:44Rick Costa: I don't really want.
- 51:44Rick Costa: This house needs to go.
- 51:45Rick Costa: Okay, this house needs to go.
- 51:47Carmen Lezeth: What about the land and everything, though?
- 51:49Carmen Lezeth: Would you want to keep the land and maybe rebuild?
- 51:50Carmen Lezeth: Okay, no All right, okay, I, okay, I can feel that the house is not what you want.
- 51:55Carmen Lezeth: Nah, you buy a house somewhere else then?
- 51:58Rick Costa: Yeah, somewhere near family, not like next door, but near family, so that you know yeah, not next door, but near family, so that you know, if there's something that happens, I can lean on family Look at Mario's family too.
- 52:10Carmen Lezeth: He's like he would donate to the Mario Travel Fund.
- 52:12Carmen Lezeth: That's right, that's cool.
- 52:17Carmen Lezeth: Cynthia said absolutely, but I don't know to what?
- 52:22Tony D.: I don't know what you were saying.
- 52:23Tony D.: Rick will get another house because he feels like he probably needs a new environment.
- 52:25Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, fair enough.
- 52:27Tony D.: I guess where you're at and what you got going on, but you put a lot of time and energy into your house, where I think you're exhausted.
- 52:32Carmen Lezeth: Isn't that where you were raised, though Isn't that the same house you were raised in?
- 52:36Rick Costa: Yeah, but I was probably like seven years old and been in this house pretty much ever since.
- 52:41Rick Costa: But I told my parents a long time ago listen, if we can, it's time to go.
- 52:47Rick Costa: And they're like we work so hard, we can't do this.
- 52:50Rick Costa: We work so hard and all this money we pay we're not leaving this.
- 52:53Rick Costa: I'm like, okay, okay.
- 52:57Rick Costa: Later I think you're going to regret this decision, and of course, my dad ain't here to say nothing.
- 53:00Carmen Lezeth: But my mom, if she's honest yeah, the house is more of a burden maybe.
- 53:05Rick Costa: Yeah.
- 53:05Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, cynthia was saying absolutely to being creative.
- 53:08Rick Costa: Yes.
- 53:09Carmen Lezeth: That is, you know what I think that would be.
- 53:11Carmen Lezeth: What money could do is give us an opportunity to be more creative and and kind of I don't know be more ourselves.
- 53:19Carmen Lezeth: I think that's what vacation was about was just being able to chillax, you know.
- 53:24Rick Costa: Not to get all sci-fi, but I think that's why Star Trek to me is really cool too is because because they don't really have jobs where they make money, you just whatever you have you need.
- 53:32Carmen Lezeth: Because the world is different.
- 53:33Rick Costa: And money yeah so everybody does stuff that.
- 53:36Carmen Lezeth: I was like they do work.
- 53:36Carmen Lezeth: They work every day.
- 53:38Rick Costa: Well, because they work every day.
- 53:39Rick Costa: Poor money, poor money, right, but they do what fulfills them, you know.
- 53:45Carmen Lezeth: Oh look, Mario said I would buy back a lot of my family's land.
- 53:47Carmen Lezeth: We have gotten back some of it, but I want all back, just to honor my ancestors.
- 53:51Rick Costa: Oh, that's cool.
- 53:52Carmen Lezeth: Okay, that would be cool.
- 53:53Carmen Lezeth: I don't know if I would buy land, I don't care about property and land.
- 53:57Tony D.: I want to help people.
- 53:58Tony D.: Huh, what do you think you're doing in the United States?
- 54:00Tony D.: Buy some land, because it's always going to gain value.
- 54:01Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I don't care about land.
- 54:02Carmen Lezeth: I mean, I get that from Mario and for you guys, I think for me, what I want to do is I want people to get together on a regular basis to figure out different ways in which we can help people who have fallen through the cracks, and figure out a way in which we can really help individual people and families.
- 54:25Carmen Lezeth: So one of my ideas is I would love to hire people at, let's say, 50, $60,000 a year and have one person work with one other person, one family, who's homeless.
- 54:35Carmen Lezeth: For one year, your only job is to get up every day and figure out what this person and this family needs to get you know what I mean.
- 54:42Carmen Lezeth: They can have like one, like counselor or sponsor or something I really would love.
- 54:45Carmen Lezeth: Like that's what I would love to do with billions of dollars won from the lottery.
- 54:49Carmen Lezeth: Okay, this is going too fast.
- 54:50Carmen Lezeth: This is going too fast.
- 54:52Carmen Lezeth: I think I would get my cosmetology license up to date.
- 54:55Carmen Lezeth: Then I would open my own hair salon, because I would like to go back to that.
- 54:57Carmen Lezeth: I think you should do that, audrey.
- 55:00Carmen Lezeth: You should do that anyways.
- 55:01Carmen Lezeth: You used to cut hair for a living.
- 55:03Carmen Lezeth: You were awesome.
- 55:03Carmen Lezeth: You should do that anyways.
- 55:05Carmen Lezeth: Jessie said yes, I think she's talking about me fixing the homeless problem.
- 55:08Carmen Lezeth: Cynthia said buy land and then build small homes for the homeless.
- 55:11Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I'm just saying and yes to the think tank.
- 55:14Carmen Lezeth: I really want to have a think tank of people who get together on a monthly basis, who give a shit about real people and figure out ways in which we could do it.
- 55:21Carmen Lezeth: And if we had that kind of money, we could try different things and see if we could figure it out.
- 55:25Carmen Lezeth: I think we could solve the homeless problem if we all just gave a shit about the homeless as much as we care about fucking dogs and cats.
- 55:32Carmen Lezeth: No offense to dogs and cats, but I'm telling you right now, if we cared and had as much compassion as we do for animals, if we did for people who have fallen through the cracks, we as human beings, individuals, could fix the homeless fucking problem.
- 55:46Carmen Lezeth: I'm telling you.
- 55:47Tony D.: I'm not wrong.
- 55:50Rick Costa: I saw somewhere where a guy he bought a big piece of land and he put little houses and it was all for homeless people.
- 55:57Rick Costa: He said this is your house now.
- 55:58Carmen Lezeth: They're like what I mean.
- 56:01Carmen Lezeth: Having a home is part of the problem with homeless people.
- 56:03Carmen Lezeth: They need to actually have shelter and an address and right to start over.
- 56:06Carmen Lezeth: But there's also something else that people don't understand.
- 56:10Carmen Lezeth: They need to be treated with respect and dignity, and part of that is also being told like okay, then you also need to get a job.
- 56:16Carmen Lezeth: And if you can't get a job, maybe it's because you need to go to Alcoholics Anonymous, or maybe you need to go and get therapy, or maybe you need to go to the veterans.
- 56:23Carmen Lezeth: You know what?
- 56:24Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, are we raising hands now?
- 56:26Carmen Lezeth: I'm sorry.
- 56:27Tony D.: Some of the job issues.
- 56:28Tony D.: This will not have a previous employment for a duration of time.
- 56:31Tony D.: Yeah of course.
- 56:32Tony D.: So the guy who gets really trained or gets on-the-job training wants to get hired.
- 56:35Tony D.: There's a lot of jobs that are on-the-job training.
- 56:37Tony D.: I actually credit them more than anything.
- 56:39Tony D.: There's also the housing.
- 56:40Tony D.: There's Habitat for Humanity.
- 56:42Tony D.: They're already doing that for a lot of people Low-income, homeless.
- 56:48Tony D.: But, excuse me, I'm sorry, there's two sides to the homeless situation.
- 56:52Tony D.: There's more than two sides, but go ahead A lot of their situations.
- 56:55Tony D.: They got fired or some people lost a spouse.
- 56:58Carmen Lezeth: Or they had a medical injury or whatever, and then they had to pay all of their money.
- 57:02Carmen Lezeth: Let me tell you the next time you look at a commercial of a dog and they're telling you to give money, I'm all for it, but can you please just also think about the homeless person that you snickered at when you walked down the street the other day and saw them begging for money and instead of seeing them as some horrible human being who did something wrong to be in this situation, think about being compassionate and loving and think about you know what.
- 57:27Carmen Lezeth: First, there, but for the grace of God, go I.
- 57:29Carmen Lezeth: And secondly, like how could I help that person?
- 57:32Carmen Lezeth: If I can't help them or you don't want to help them, then at least just send a blessing.
- 57:41Carmen Lezeth: Stop being a fucking asshole to the homeless people.
- 57:42Carmen Lezeth: It can happen to anyone and you don't.
- 57:43Carmen Lezeth: Every person is such an individual human being and I hate that.
- 57:44Carmen Lezeth: We've come to this place where we're just so dismissive of beautiful human beings who have fallen through the cracks.
- 57:50Carmen Lezeth: It doesn't matter if they're on drugs or they're alcoholics or you don't know why they got there Exactly.
- 57:58Carmen Lezeth: Some of y'all are drug addicts or whatever.
- 57:59Carmen Lezeth: You're just in your house and your husband's paying your bill.
- 58:00Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 58:01Carmen Lezeth: I'm just tired of the nastiness towards homeless people, and then we all pretend we're all such good people.
- 58:07Carmen Lezeth: We're such good people.
- 58:09Carmen Lezeth: No, you're not.
- 58:09Carmen Lezeth: No, you're not.
- 58:11Rick Costa: When we had that big market crash.
- 58:13Rick Costa: When was that?
- 58:13Rick Costa: Like 2008, 2007, 2008.
- 58:19Rick Costa: I mean, I've heard that people that had tons of money became homeless just overnight and it's like they didn't ask for that, they didn't expect that.
- 58:23Rick Costa: I lost my condo.
- 58:23Carmen Lezeth: I lost my condo during that time.
- 58:25Carmen Lezeth: I didn't become homeless because I have so many friends.
- 58:27Carmen Lezeth: Imagine if you burnt out all of your connections.
- 58:31Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I mean, rick, you're absolutely right.
- 58:32Carmen Lezeth: I'm just saying you're absolutely right, and it's embarrassing Some.
- 58:34Carmen Lezeth: I mean, rick, you're absolutely right.
- 58:34Carmen Lezeth: I'm just saying you're absolutely right, and it's embarrassing.
- 58:36Carmen Lezeth: Some people don't want to ask their friends for help and they think they might be able to do it.
- 58:39Carmen Lezeth: They think they might be able to get a chance and then it just doesn't work out that way.
- 58:43Carmen Lezeth: And I'm sorry, I didn't mean to jump on that, rick, I'm sorry, you were saying something.
- 58:46Rick Costa: Yeah, yeah, I'm just saying it that point.
- 58:52Rick Costa: You don't know what happened, you have no idea.
- 58:53Rick Costa: Some people had a medical thing happen and now they literally can't do anything right.
- 58:58Rick Costa: It's not their fault.
- 59:01Tony D.: Let me throw this out there too.
- 59:02Tony D.: Covid got a lot of people homeless because some jobs went away and never came back.
- 59:06Tony D.: People do this to screw.
- 59:08Tony D.: This is why when I go to dinner sometimes I used to do DoorDash, uber Eats and everything.
- 59:12Tony D.: A lot of them were people who lost jobs and had to find something.
- 59:15Tony D.: That's what they had and I would tip them on purpose because I realized what was going on.
- 59:19Tony D.: That was one way a lot of people can help folks.
- 59:22Tony D.: You don't know so many people as waitresses and stewardesses now.
- 59:25Tony D.: They lost their careers due to the pandemic which was beyond their control.
- 59:29Tony D.: Everybody who's homeless is not homeless by some recklessness.
- 59:33Carmen Lezeth: I honestly don't know anybody who's homeless because they want to be.
- 59:36Carmen Lezeth: And here's the thing I don't.
- 59:38Carmen Lezeth: I don't know anybody who's like you know what?
- 59:40Carmen Lezeth: I just want to be homeless Like people like to say that when you become so depressed and so sad or you come home after work and you're miserable, sad and you have a drink or two or three and you lay on your couch and then you get up the next day and go to work, how is that any different from somebody who's been living on the streets, gets a few bucks and they're like I just want to have a drink so they can forget their problems for a minute.
- 59:58Carmen Lezeth: I'm not okaying alcoholism.
- 1:00:00Carmen Lezeth: Anybody who knows me knows I grew up in AA.
- 1:00:01Carmen Lezeth: That's why I'm not a big drinker.
- 1:00:02Carmen Lezeth: But it's this we're so judgy, we're so judgy.
- 1:00:06Carmen Lezeth: We think we're better than other people.
- 1:00:08Carmen Lezeth: And look, here's the thing I love when I watched people obsessing about dogs.
- 1:00:13Carmen Lezeth: Right, I love animals.
- 1:00:14Carmen Lezeth: I don't have them, but I did growing up and I have no problem with everyone loving dogs and cats and wanting to adopt them, and blah, blah, blah.
- 1:00:22Carmen Lezeth: But what I hate is this thing like it's not their fault, it's the people.
- 1:00:26Carmen Lezeth: You don't know that that dog bites somebody in the family and the family pushed the dog.
- 1:00:29Carmen Lezeth: I don't know what the dog did, but here's what I'm saying.
- 1:00:32Carmen Lezeth: I'm not saying any dog should be abused or whatever.
- 1:00:34Carmen Lezeth: What I'm saying is, if you can make compensations and possibilities for why you can love an animal, why can't you do that and have a positive thought about a human being on the planet?
- 1:00:47Carmen Lezeth: Oh yeah, why can't you do that?
- 1:00:49Carmen Lezeth: Why can't you think the best of someone instead of the worst?
- 1:00:53Carmen Lezeth: And here's the other thing.
- 1:00:54Carmen Lezeth: I'm going to say this because this is mostly to Brian Not that I think he's listening, but Brian does this all the time, but a lot of people do this idea that, well, the homeless are really bad in California.
- 1:01:07Tony D.: The homeless problem is all in this country.
- 1:01:09Carmen Lezeth: It's all of our problems.
- 1:01:10Carmen Lezeth: When I was in school in Vermont, at UVM, vermont was paying homeless people to leave the state.
- 1:01:17Carmen Lezeth: By the way, texas has a habit of doing that crap too, and here's the thing I don't care, but what I do care about is people who claim to be good people and then are dissing states for having more homeless people or whatever, like you're being ridiculous.
- 1:01:30Carmen Lezeth: If you want to be homeless, the best place to do it is in a warm state, by the way, like you don't want to be homeless in chicago.
- 1:01:36Carmen Lezeth: So I'm just saying, like, just stop with the nastiness.
- 1:01:41Carmen Lezeth: Let's get back to a place where we're we're good to each other.
- 1:01:44Tony D.: You know I maybe I'm a little bit hokey, but that's what happened on vacation I think a lot of what you're seeing in california comes from where you're at too what do you?
- 1:01:52Tony D.: Mean when I grew up in new york there was a lot of homeless people.
- 1:01:55Carmen Lezeth: There's been a lot of homeless, no matter where I live.
- 1:01:57Carmen Lezeth: So I'm not worried because I actually seek out homeless people, because I don't seek them out, but I don't ignore them is what I'm saying.
- 1:02:05Tony D.: Right, and it's homeless people everywhere, it's not any one state.
- 1:02:08Tony D.: They're using the current situation as a basis for an argument or discussion or debate, but it was happening before they got here, or discussion or debate, but it was happening before they got here.
- 1:02:15Carmen Lezeth: And here's the thing we're.
- 1:02:16Carmen Lezeth: We're the wealthiest country in the world.
- 1:02:18Carmen Lezeth: We're the best country, really, are we, though you know what I mean Like we shouldn't have homeless people in this country?
- 1:02:25Tony D.: No, that's the biggest thing.
- 1:02:26Tony D.: We should not have homeless people.
- 1:02:28Carmen Lezeth: It shouldn't be that hard for you to to have a medical moment.
- 1:02:32Carmen Lezeth: Something happened to you and you have to have surgery.
- 1:02:35Carmen Lezeth: It shouldn't cost more than your salary to pay your medical bills, you know whatever it is whatever it is.
- 1:02:41Carmen Lezeth: That's a lot of the reasons why people end up homeless.
- 1:02:43Carmen Lezeth: Tends to be they lose a spouse, like Tony said, or they have a medical problem issue or something, and they end up going under financially.
- 1:02:50Carmen Lezeth: Those tend to be the bigger ones, you know, and it's like I'm losing a job, but getting fired, I think that's right.
- 1:02:56Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, um, and look at, I'm just saying we can do better.
- 1:02:59Carmen Lezeth: But if I win the lottery, that would be.
- 1:03:01Carmen Lezeth: One of the things I want to work on is trying to figure out a way in which, in the private sector, with people who I know are good, decent people, who I would make sure have a salary, they never have to worry about working again.
- 1:03:12Carmen Lezeth: We'd get together to try to figure out a way to do this, that we could do it from a grassroots point of view, like a think tank, just trying to come up with different ways and then making proposals and seeing if there's ways in which we can fix it.
- 1:03:23Carmen Lezeth: I think we'd be a better country, if I think we'd be better people.
- 1:03:27Carmen Lezeth: I'd be so excited if we could actually solve the homeless crisis.
- 1:03:30Tony D.: I think we also need to look at what's already been done.
- 1:03:35Tony D.: I been done, so I don't repeat anything previous, or at least I would.
- 1:03:38Tony D.: Did not work right just that easily.
- 1:03:40Tony D.: Um, because a lot of situation with the homes right now may be different than what we saw before right because for a lot of homeless people I'm not gonna lie all you gotta do is relocate them.
- 1:03:48Carmen Lezeth: They'll be fine, but there's a lot of relocating I mean I, I don't know about that maybe, but it could be, I don't know.
- 1:03:54Carmen Lezeth: I think there's a lot of bandaid work.
- 1:03:56Carmen Lezeth: I think there's a lot of organizations that do a lot of things for homeless people.
- 1:04:00Carmen Lezeth: But when I say bandaid, I mean it's not a full.
- 1:04:02Carmen Lezeth: Especially when it's families and kids, I feel like they really need somebody on a regular basis to be with them to walk them through.
- 1:04:10Carmen Lezeth: It's just a, it's just an idea.
- 1:04:12Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 1:04:13Tony D.: The mother needs that.
- 1:04:14Tony D.: Yes, the parent of the kids.
- 1:04:16Carmen Lezeth: Whoever it is, you know somebody to help and advocate.
- 1:04:19Tony D.: The parent's got to get their mind back into wanting to redo a resume, apply for a job.
- 1:04:23Tony D.: The parents have to get their mind set.
- 1:04:25Tony D.: The kids they'll wash a car, they'll cut some grass, they'll deliver some newspapers, they'll work fast, but they won't care no-transcript.
- 1:04:44Carmen Lezeth: Um, wait, what did somebody say after they get homes, when they can work with animal shelters?
- 1:04:48Carmen Lezeth: Two birds one stone?
- 1:04:50Carmen Lezeth: Oh, two birds, one stone.
- 1:04:51Carmen Lezeth: Oh, it doesn't.
- 1:04:52Carmen Lezeth: Okay, I'm so confused I lost that.
- 1:04:55Carmen Lezeth: Okay, wait, um, audrey just said there are some people who play, who play on the homeless act to get money out of you.
- 1:05:02Tony D.: Sometimes I can't read all this sometimes they don't know what they want to really do with their money.
- 1:05:07Carmen Lezeth: Okay, I'm going to address that in a second, because I disagree with you.
- 1:05:10Carmen Lezeth: You have to get a few people of who you really giving money to no, she's right, we're going.
- 1:05:15Carmen Lezeth: We'll go ahead, okay.
- 1:05:16Carmen Lezeth: So, audrey, I'm going to just tell you first of all, I disagree 100%.
- 1:05:20Carmen Lezeth: You don't have to.
- 1:05:21Carmen Lezeth: You don't know.
- 1:05:22Carmen Lezeth: No one is telling you you have to give money to anybody no one.
- 1:05:25Carmen Lezeth: You don't ever have to give a homeless person money ever in your entire life.
- 1:05:27Carmen Lezeth: What you do need to do is, instead of being mean or of them or judgment of them, turn around and just send them a blessing and walk away.
- 1:05:35Carmen Lezeth: If you want to give money to an organization, there are plenty of organizations out there that you can check into.
- 1:05:40Carmen Lezeth: You can email me and I'll send you a list.
- 1:05:42Carmen Lezeth: If you want to give money that are actually helping people, you can do that.
- 1:05:45Carmen Lezeth: Again, it's this idea that we're judging people.
- 1:05:48Carmen Lezeth: On a moment.
- 1:05:49Carmen Lezeth: If you're giving somebody 20 bucks and they are homeless and they've been sleeping on the street and they're miserable and they've been crying all day, whatever, and they want to go get a glass of wine, they want to go get a bottle of wine.
- 1:05:59Carmen Lezeth: I don't give a shit.
- 1:05:59Carmen Lezeth: I do it all the time, and that's what I'm saying is like, what is it that you think they're doing?
- 1:06:05Carmen Lezeth: They're going to go get high or go get drugs?
- 1:06:06Carmen Lezeth: Then don't give them any money, give it to an organization.
- 1:06:15Carmen Lezeth: If I give few bucks, I'm going to give it to them and walk away no big deal.
- 1:06:18Carmen Lezeth: But I'm not going to make a judgment on that.
- 1:06:21Carmen Lezeth: If they're begging for money, they need it for something.
- 1:06:23Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, and it's again.
- 1:06:24Carmen Lezeth: I'm not telling anyone.
- 1:06:25Carmen Lezeth: I don't usually give money to people I do give money to.
- 1:06:28Carmen Lezeth: There's a couple of homeless people, the trash here and they have the big trash bags.
- 1:06:35Carmen Lezeth: So I now save all my bottles and I meet them out there and I always put like 20 bucks.
- 1:06:39Carmen Lezeth: Right, they're very nice people.
- 1:06:41Carmen Lezeth: I always put 20 bucks in the bag for them.
- 1:06:42Carmen Lezeth: So it's like once every couple of weeks and it's like now I know them, whatever, and I don't think those homeless people are doing anything wrong.
- 1:06:51Carmen Lezeth: I think they're trying to figure out a way to get a few bucks to do whatever they're doing, you know, and even if they're going to go out and have a drink, I don't care, right, they're, they're picking up recycling every day, not every day, but they do it like every week here.
- 1:07:03Carmen Lezeth: So, yeah, let's try not to be judgy is what I'm saying.
- 1:07:06Rick Costa: You don't have to give money to anybody, but you can give it to organizations if you want, but you don't have to give money to anybody yeah, have they ever done a reality show where somebody goes and pretends or I guess is the best way to say it to live like a homeless person and not say anything to nobody?
- 1:07:20Carmen Lezeth: They've done that on TikTok, but why?
- 1:07:22Rick Costa: I mean like a for real show, because, like one thing, because I've talked to people that have become homeless or even are homeless, and they're like you don't understand.
- 1:07:29Rick Costa: There's so many things that you take for granted.
- 1:07:30Rick Costa: Because people just say get a job, no-transcript, and this is a restaurant.
- 1:07:45Rick Costa: Um, yeah, my phone didn't have to make up something.
- 1:07:48Rick Costa: Oh, my phone got turned on.
- 1:07:49Carmen Lezeth: It's not just get a job, there's more to it yeah, audrey, I look at I just said, but there are homeless people that are really, really hungry, that need it for food, as opposed to those who want the money to get their fix.
- 1:07:58Carmen Lezeth: That's the difference, but that's what I'm trying to say.
- 1:08:00Carmen Lezeth: You don't have, if you don't have that trust in people, I don't care if somebody is trying to get a fix.
- 1:08:05Carmen Lezeth: I mean, I'm not going to give money to somebody I can tell is a drug addict now and that's why they're homeless and there's clearly something that's happened.
- 1:08:17Carmen Lezeth: There's a story why they've gotten to that place.
- 1:08:21Carmen Lezeth: Right, there's, there's a reason why somebody started doing cocaine or started doing fentanyl or whatever I agree with that, yes, and now they became homeless.
- 1:08:29Carmen Lezeth: So I'm just saying like I'm not telling anyone to give people money.
- 1:08:32Carmen Lezeth: I'm saying let's be less judgy, let let's be more loving, let's be more hopeful of humanity and be like you know what?
- 1:08:39Carmen Lezeth: I'm going to give money to organizations that are helping those people.
- 1:08:41Carmen Lezeth: Look at, I worked the reason why.
- 1:08:43Carmen Lezeth: First of all, let me just tell everybody, in case you don't know, I worked for a nonprofit that all we did was help drug and alcohol drug and alcoholic people and organizations that helped people who were homeless.
- 1:08:54Carmen Lezeth: I was with that organization for a very long time.
- 1:08:57Carmen Lezeth: It was a family foundation whose very wealthy woman, whose son extremely wealthy people, whose son died of a drug and alcohol overdose.
- 1:09:06Carmen Lezeth: So it doesn't matter whether you're rich or poor, you can become a drug addict and end up killing yourself, and so that's why we don't want to be judgy.
- 1:09:14Carmen Lezeth: So this woman left all her money to this organization to find organizations who will help people, especially veterans.
- 1:09:22Carmen Lezeth: She had a.
- 1:09:22Carmen Lezeth: Her son was not a veteran, but especially veterans.
- 1:09:24Carmen Lezeth: That's what we tried to help the most, and it was primarily men.
- 1:09:28Carmen Lezeth: So her foundation was very focused at the time on this.
- 1:09:31Carmen Lezeth: So the reason why I'm so adamant about it is probably one of my favorite jobs for about a minute until she passed away and her kids got in charge of it.
- 1:09:37Carmen Lezeth: But it's not only that.
- 1:09:38Carmen Lezeth: It's just because I lived part of that life too right.
- 1:09:40Carmen Lezeth: So the reason why I'm so adamant about it if you want to know organizations that are legit organizations, reach out to me.
- 1:09:47Carmen Lezeth: I will tell you who they are and you can donate money to them if you want.
- 1:09:51Carmen Lezeth: All I'm asking is that we stop making these kinds of judgments.
- 1:09:54Carmen Lezeth: You know, just send blessings to people.
- 1:10:01Carmen Lezeth: You don't have to give nobody money.
- 1:10:02Carmen Lezeth: But if we want to be loving, kind, beautiful people, let's actually be those people.
- 1:10:04Carmen Lezeth: Let's let's treat people the way we treat dogs and cats who are homeless.
- 1:10:06Carmen Lezeth: That's all I'm asking.
- 1:10:07Carmen Lezeth: It's so sad.
- 1:10:08Carmen Lezeth: That's what I'm asking for.
- 1:10:10Rick Costa: You know what I mean yeah, one time my church we had like a like a little outreach and and we had little packages of stuff.
- 1:10:16Rick Costa: We literally went finding homeless people and gave them socks and blah, blah, blah and it's like, just do that once.
- 1:10:22Rick Costa: I'm telling you right now it's going to change you.
- 1:10:24Rick Costa: Talk to them.
- 1:10:25Rick Costa: And really I got so emotional with one guy in particular and everybody's like are you okay, rick?
- 1:10:30Rick Costa: I was like he just got to me His story.
- 1:10:32Rick Costa: It's like you know, we gotta remember humans.
- 1:10:35Rick Costa: You're human too.
- 1:10:36Rick Costa: Yeah, I feel bad for the dogs that are suffering and the cats, but what about the humans?
- 1:10:40Carmen Lezeth: I'm just saying you can treat them the same, I'm not saying you we have enough love to give to everybody and to animals.
- 1:10:46Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 1:10:47Carmen Lezeth: Like you don't have to do one or the other.
- 1:10:49Tony D.: Hey.
- 1:10:49Carmen Lezeth: Darcy, how are you?
- 1:10:50Carmen Lezeth: Hey Tony, is your friend Ted going on tonight?
- 1:10:55Tony D.: I don't know yet I haven't seen him.
- 1:10:57Carmen Lezeth: I don't think what's going on with him when is his show on a regular basis.
- 1:11:00Tony D.: He's busy, he's got a busy issue.
- 1:11:01Tony D.: It's okay, we got plenty, we're going to do more.
- 1:11:04Tony D.: We got plenty, we're going to do more.
- 1:11:05Tony D.: Like I tell everybody, we got plenty of time, we're always going to do time.
- 1:11:17Carmen Lezeth: Let's promote it, just turn your notifications on Follow me Linktree.
- 1:11:18Carmen Lezeth: Okay, wait, let's say it a little bit slower what your LinkedIn thing is.
- 1:11:23Carmen Lezeth: What is it?
- 1:11:25Tony D.: TonyDOriginal Comment Skylar, honestly, I did one.
- 1:11:28Carmen Lezeth: Oh my God, seriously, they still didn't get it.
- 1:11:30Carmen Lezeth: So it's Linktree.
- 1:11:31Carmen Lezeth: What is it?
- 1:11:32Carmen Lezeth: Tonydoriginal?
- 1:11:34Carmen Lezeth: Yes, you got it, and then all your links are there.
- 1:11:36Carmen Lezeth: I'm trying to promote you.
- 1:11:41Tony D.: And also you can follow.
- 1:11:41Carmen Lezeth: Rick at RickCostacom.
- 1:11:42Carmen Lezeth: He has a show every single day.
- 1:11:42Carmen Lezeth: That is, what is it, rick?
- 1:11:45Carmen Lezeth: I don't want to mess up.
- 1:11:47Rick Costa: It's a religious broadcast, let's just put it out there.
- 1:11:49Carmen Lezeth: Okay, but don't say religious.
- 1:11:51Carmen Lezeth: Okay, you can pray on the show, you can sing a song on the show.
- 1:11:55Carmen Lezeth: He also does prayers for individual people.
- 1:11:58Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, tony, type your thing in the comments, or maybe Rick can.
- 1:12:03Carmen Lezeth: But we still never know what your link is.
- 1:12:05Carmen Lezeth: Because I tried your link tree, it never made sense to me.
- 1:12:09Tony D.: What didn't make sense.
- 1:12:10Carmen Lezeth: I couldn't find it.
- 1:12:11Carmen Lezeth: Tonydoriginalcom Is it.
- 1:12:14Tony D.: It's link tree TonyDOriginal.
- 1:12:17Carmen Lezeth: Put it in the comments.
- 1:12:18Carmen Lezeth: I'm saying, okay, here's the thing.
- 1:12:19Carmen Lezeth: If you put the link tree thing and then put your thing, it doesn't come up easy.
- 1:12:24Tony D.: So you got to put it.
- 1:12:25Rick Costa: All right, I just put in Google tone little, just Tony D Original, and the first thing that comes up is link tree.
- 1:12:32Carmen Lezeth: Okay, great, Now put it in the comments.
- 1:12:34Carmen Lezeth: Tonydoriginal.
- 1:12:35Rick Costa: Oh profile may contain content not appropriate for all audiences over 18.
- 1:12:41Tony D.: You got your OnlyFans on there.
- 1:12:42Tony D.: What's on there?
- 1:12:43Tony D.: You got OnlyFans.
- 1:12:44Tony D.: Can I answer that?
- 1:12:45Carmen Lezeth: Yes, please.
- 1:12:46Tony D.: I got it set for 18 and over.
- 1:12:48Tony D.: That's why it does that.
- 1:12:48Tony D.: The first thing everybody asks is do you have OnlyFans?
- 1:12:50Tony D.: Something wrong with?
- 1:12:51Carmen Lezeth: y'all, it's not wrong.
- 1:12:52Tony D.: We're just interested in the possibility.
- 1:12:54Rick Costa: It's not wrong.
- 1:12:55Carmen Lezeth: We're being honest.
- 1:12:56Carmen Lezeth: Thank you, Cynthia.
- 1:12:59Tony D.: Just want clarity, that's all.
- 1:12:59Tony D.: No, honestly, I got told that last year they were like you must have got OnlyFans.
- 1:13:02Tony D.: I'm like I never did OnlyFans.
- 1:13:03Tony D.: Is that what it means when you have OnlyFans?
- 1:13:14Carmen Lezeth: That you got to get a warning and everything.
- 1:13:16Carmen Lezeth: No, I got't.
- 1:13:16Carmen Lezeth: Speak for themselves.
- 1:13:18Carmen Lezeth: I think that's why people are so caught up with wanting to help animals more than humans.
- 1:13:20Carmen Lezeth: Oh, jesse, in a minute let me explain to you.
- 1:13:25Carmen Lezeth: Audrey, I agree with you, I understand that, but I also think it's easier to think negatively about people, and easier because animals are furry and cute.
- 1:13:35Carmen Lezeth: So I agree with you.
- 1:13:37Carmen Lezeth: But when we start thinking that people are beautiful and important and lovely, we can see more behind it.
- 1:13:43Carmen Lezeth: So it's not that animals can't speak for themselves.
- 1:13:45Carmen Lezeth: A lot of homeless people can speak for themselves, but we won't even look at them, we won't even take the time to talk to them.
- 1:13:52Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 1:13:53Carmen Lezeth: So I hear you, but I think we need to start thinking about each other again in the way we used to, in a loving, kind, positive way.
- 1:14:00Carmen Lezeth: I'm not trying to be cheesy.
- 1:14:01Carmen Lezeth: I think this is.
- 1:14:02Carmen Lezeth: My whole purpose on the planet is to bring joy to people and to remind us of who we can be.
- 1:14:06Carmen Lezeth: I know that sounds like a big thing, but I'm being serious.
- 1:14:09Carmen Lezeth: Jesse, my love, oh Lord, it was hard.
- 1:14:24Carmen Lezeth: It was hard to think about having to explain it to you, but a lot of people aren't, and there's some crazy people with weird fetishes and craziness.
- 1:14:27Carmen Lezeth: It's not?
- 1:14:28Tony D.: yeah, it's weird I am not an only fans.

- 1:14:36Tony D.: People like the aqua folks and trust me the links that I have up there.
- 1:14:39Tony D.: They're not my only social media accounts, but those are the main ones that I'm using for live streaming.
- 1:14:44Carmen Lezeth: Wait, I just got so confused.
- 1:14:45Carmen Lezeth: So you have secret other accounts that you use.
- 1:14:47Carmen Lezeth: Hey, you just walked into that baby.
- 1:14:50Carmen Lezeth: Don't take long you just walk right into that one.
- 1:14:55Tony D.: I don't have a facebook one.
- 1:14:56Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, that's all um, hey, rick, why don't you put your um, rick costacom in there?
- 1:15:01Carmen Lezeth: I mean, I know it's pretty easy, but that way it's on there in the youtube.
- 1:15:05Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean, rick costacom?
- 1:15:06Carmen Lezeth: I havea comment.
- 1:15:07Carmen Lezeth: Melanie said I have a comment, but it's more suitable for rick's broadcast regarding how to treat all people.
- 1:15:12Carmen Lezeth: It's okay, melanie, you can share a religious thing.
- 1:15:15Carmen Lezeth: It's okay.
- 1:15:15Carmen Lezeth: I didn't mean to make it sound like you can't, and you're such a regular visitor on our show.
- 1:15:20Carmen Lezeth: I let you pass on anything that you want to say.
- 1:15:22Carmen Lezeth: I know you probably want to put down a biblical comment or something, or a passage.
- 1:15:27Carmen Lezeth: Please now do the comment.
- 1:15:30Carmen Lezeth: Just say whatever makes people happy?
- 1:15:32Carmen Lezeth: What?
- 1:15:32Tony D.: All you say that's what the big books are.
- 1:15:34Tony D.: I've been told to go over this.
- 1:15:35Tony D.: I'm not going to.
- 1:15:36Tony D.: There's too much of a stereotype against it.
- 1:15:38Carmen Lezeth: With the name, like Tony D oh you ain't helping, you ain't helping, oh you ain't helping.
- 1:15:49Rick Costa: Tony D with the OnlyFans.
- 1:15:50Rick Costa: That's hilarious.
- 1:15:50Rick Costa: Oh my gosh, that's really great.
- 1:15:51Rick Costa: So the guy that created I X-Men cartoon he was the one mainly behind it.
- 1:15:54Rick Costa: He just got fired because apparently he had OnlyFans and they didn't like that.
- 1:15:59Rick Costa: Yeah, well, a lot of people do have an.
- 1:16:01Carmen Lezeth: OnlyFans account.
- 1:16:01Carmen Lezeth: They shouldn't.
- 1:16:02Tony D.: And it's not everything on there is a sexual.
- 1:16:04Tony D.: That's the crazy part it doesn't matter.
- 1:16:07Carmen Lezeth: It has the connotation, so it doesn't matter.
- 1:16:09Carmen Lezeth: Well that's all the business's.
- 1:16:16Carmen Lezeth: Still, I don't look at.
- 1:16:18Carmen Lezeth: I know people want to fight this battle.
- 1:16:19Carmen Lezeth: It has a connotation of being more porn oriented than not Right, and so if you're going to have a page, that's the connotation that comes with it.
- 1:16:27Carmen Lezeth: I'm sorry you can't be like, oh, but mine isn't really.
- 1:16:30Carmen Lezeth: It is what it is.
- 1:16:31Rick Costa: Just own it and move on move on if I went on there and tried to be a religious broadcast.
- 1:16:37Rick Costa: People be like you want only fans, bye they gotta lose all my followers.
- 1:16:38Carmen Lezeth: I'm just or or.
- 1:16:39Carmen Lezeth: They're like yes, finally somebody who's preaching the word to us people.
- 1:16:43Carmen Lezeth: I mean, but you, you gotta own it.
- 1:16:44Carmen Lezeth: You gotta own it.
- 1:16:45Carmen Lezeth: You can't be trying to change what only fans is, because so like some.
- 1:16:49Carmen Lezeth: Some person told me that there's a that they have.
- 1:16:51Carmen Lezeth: There's somebody has like a foot fetish and that's not the same as porno.
- 1:16:55Carmen Lezeth: I'm like it's still crazy.

- 1:16:56Carmen Lezeth: Like I don't want to know that you have a foot fetish porno thing.
- 1:17:00Carmen Lezeth: That's weird.
- 1:17:00Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 1:17:01Carmen Lezeth: Like it's weird.
- 1:17:02Carmen Lezeth: I'm just saying they should create a non-sexual site.
- 1:17:07Carmen Lezeth: It's right here, all about the joy this is a non-sexual site.
- 1:17:11Carmen Lezeth: You can tell me.

- 1:17:12Carmen Lezeth: I'm just answering Jessie.
- 1:17:14Carmen Lezeth: She said they should create a non-sexual site.
- 1:17:17Tony D.: There are a bunch of them that turn sexual, in all honesty.
- 1:17:20Carmen Lezeth: Really.
- 1:17:21Tony D.: Yes, like what other one.
- 1:17:22Tony D.: I don't know I think that sounded like a I do know, but I don't want to talk about it comment.
- 1:17:30Tony D.: There are a lot of sites that started out pretty good and then the highly sexualized people jump on there and they bring more people, more attention, more uh, subscribers, if you will to their site.
- 1:17:40Tony D.: That's what happens.
- 1:17:41Carmen Lezeth: You know people say that you know controversy and sex and things like that is what gets you more followers or whatever.
- 1:17:49Carmen Lezeth: And I'm like, yeah, and look at, I know people don't like to read good news.

- 1:18:03Carmen Lezeth: And I think that's okay.
- 1:18:04Carmen Lezeth: But I believe we can still have a place where you can do something that isn't about all that crap all the time you can and then we need it.
- 1:18:09Carmen Lezeth: But my God, I just realized we're an hour and 30 minutes.
