- 1:18Speaker 7: We'll actually make it six. Make sure it's six sixty forty.
- 1:27Speaker 3: Two.
- 1:28Speaker 7: Because I need the national anthem to be over. I
- 1:30Speaker 7: need the ball in the air kicked. I need to
- 1:32Speaker 7: skip and I know some weed or some paty oh,
- 1:36Speaker 7: go hang out with Anon Rodgers like I got that
- 1:38Speaker 7: I'm talking about on a not get high on me,
- 1:43Speaker 7: because if it's gonna take me that long, well, if
- 1:47Speaker 7: you beat me up today on some drug, I won't
- 1:50Speaker 7: even wake up.
- 1:50Speaker 3: For the super Bowl? What you putting me on?
- 1:54Speaker 7: And I don't want to be on nothing to knock
- 1:56Speaker 7: you out for some days.
- 1:58Speaker 3: But the drug is that that's.
- 2:01Speaker 7: Not a drug. That's a death of I mean, that's
- 2:03Speaker 7: something like the torture. Yeah, you gotta induce a coma.
- 2:07Speaker 7: You just gonna I ain't gonna wake up. You're gonna
- 2:09Speaker 7: give me something right now, comatose at eight am Monday,
- 2:12Speaker 7: and I'm not gonna wake up from till six forty
- 2:15Speaker 7: two on Sunday. Very specific, That's that's right. Yeah, And
- 2:22Speaker 7: then you gotta have a profession on their foot. I'm
- 2:25Speaker 7: gonna still be loopy doing the game. I want to
- 2:27Speaker 7: wear that.
- 2:28Speaker 3: Out your sister. Yeah, I know a guy. Yeah, I'm
- 2:30Speaker 3: just saying I know that guy.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Yeah, you got to check yourself into the hospital.
- 2:35Speaker 7: Yeah, you had a couple of degrees. You know, I
- 2:37Speaker 7: can call them guys. But okay, it's super Bowl week.
- 2:41Speaker 7: You'll get tired of it real quick. It's only two
- 2:43Speaker 7: teams and uh, with twenty four hour news cycles. Uh,
- 2:47Speaker 7: basically they're just gonna start trying to make up some stories.
- 2:51Speaker 7: They're gonna listen for key words to try to pit
- 2:54Speaker 7: them against each other, and uh, it'll be a Taylor
- 2:57Speaker 7: Swift watch. It'll be in announce meant that Patrick, my
- 3:01Speaker 7: home wife is pregnant again. Uh, you know, and Andy
- 3:07Speaker 7: Reider be shooting something new. They was even trying to
- 3:09Speaker 7: make something up about Terry Bradshaw calling Andy Reid fat,
- 3:14Speaker 7: told him to go get a cheeseburger or something. And
- 3:17Speaker 7: it's like, first of all, Andy Reider is pat and
- 3:23Speaker 7: see I love when they get around to some big
- 3:25Speaker 7: and because when you're big, then you can say in
- 3:27Speaker 7: the y'all k be throwing stones at me? You know
- 3:30Speaker 7: you can only the fat can only throw stones at
- 3:34Speaker 7: the skinny. Now, how did y'all know that? As long
- 3:37Speaker 7: as you're part of the group. So when Terry Bradshaw
- 3:41Speaker 7: was up there handing the AFC trophy told Andy the
- 3:43Speaker 7: wadle on down. Now, we don't know what their relationship is.
- 3:48Speaker 7: They might have the dirty dozens between them, two old
- 3:52Speaker 7: coons like that. Andy has gone on record that he
- 3:55Speaker 7: enjoys a cheeseburger. And you ever had a cheese burger? Yeah,
- 4:02Speaker 7: it is a delicious item. Trying get I need to
- 4:06Speaker 7: do some research of who came up with that crazy idea.
- 4:11Speaker 3: Some genius. There was a genius at work. Gius like, hey,
- 4:14Speaker 3: let's take something.
- 4:15Speaker 7: It was a burger hot, I mean, and we was
- 4:18Speaker 7: consuming we got some cheese over. Hold on, no, let
- 4:22Speaker 7: me just finish eating this hot burger. Wait a minute,
- 4:24Speaker 7: Well you say cheese and you know it didn't come
- 4:29Speaker 7: out together. It's not even.
- 4:30Speaker 3: Hold on that one. I'm in refrigerator. The other one
- 4:34Speaker 3: way over cheeseburger.
- 4:36Speaker 7: When did they admit it? I see Greg over there
- 4:38Speaker 7: on this some research, you know the cheeseburger?
- 4:43Speaker 3: Was it? Okay?
- 4:44Speaker 8: So?
- 4:44Speaker 9: Adding adding cheese to hamburgers became popular in the nineteen
- 4:48Speaker 9: twenties nineteen twenty and man named Lionel Sternberger is reputed
- 4:54Speaker 9: to have introduced the cheeseburger in nineteen twenty four.
- 4:57Speaker 3: Sternburger sounded like a Jewish man stern Burger unless he
- 5:03Speaker 3: just had various hamburgers.
- 5:05Speaker 9: He was a fried cook at his father's sandwich shop
- 5:09Speaker 9: in Pasadena. He was chilling with his buddies.
- 5:12Speaker 3: Know what I'm saying?
- 5:13Speaker 7: In the sandwich in the sandwich world. Yes, the jewiss
- 5:19Speaker 7: Man and his heritage and his love of food has
- 5:24Speaker 7: created a lot of things. Yeah, delicate, Yeah, cultural, Yeah,
- 5:30Speaker 7: right behind here gold Berg delicious. Uh Strom had a
- 5:35Speaker 7: little pepper.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Yeah with the robbery and pick. Yeah what they served
- 5:44Speaker 3: with you.
- 5:45Speaker 7: Get, you know, tato salad, coast fruits, fruits.
- 5:51Speaker 3: But I feel like I'm sorry, I'm I'm getting all if.
- 5:54Speaker 3: I'm just saying, if you don't have a Brooklyn.
- 5:58Speaker 7: Great kind of Yeah, you're doing a lot. Yeah, let
- 6:02Speaker 7: me get that bust regress. In the nineteen twenties, the
- 6:05Speaker 7: cheeseburger came uh huh okay, yeah, okay, just probably mess
- 6:09Speaker 7: around and a piece of cheese fell on the burger.
- 6:13Speaker 9: What say he was experimenting by adding cheese and then
- 6:17Speaker 9: yeah he was working in it. He was this roond Stubbard.
- 6:20Speaker 9: He was sixteen years old at the time, chilling with
- 6:22Speaker 9: his buddies in California.
- 6:24Speaker 7: Out of California. After a little breakout back. Yeah, hey,
- 6:30Speaker 7: what's uh, let's put some cheese on it.
- 6:33Speaker 3: Dude, watch cheese mine it's the fridge.
- 6:36Speaker 7: Bro For super Bowl week, we will bring us all
- 6:39Speaker 7: kinds of uh stories. Out of the Eagles camp Chain
- 6:44Speaker 7: and her say Quin Barkley, uh them nine people on
- 6:47Speaker 7: defense that went to the University of Georgia. I don't
- 6:50Speaker 7: feel like naming all of them, but it's like nine
- 6:52Speaker 7: of them over there that played for the defense over Philly,
- 6:57Speaker 7: and then you got the Chiefs, a kind of unknown
- 7:01Speaker 7: and really the best job. You have to consider this
- 7:05Speaker 7: possibly when if Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid and those
- 7:10Speaker 7: guys win, might be the most satisfying because they did
- 7:15Speaker 7: not have the best talent.
- 7:19Speaker 3: The team everybody said was going to win.
- 7:22Speaker 7: Talented team. They had a team that seemed to have
- 7:28Speaker 7: their experience of winning seemed to come into play. How
- 7:33Speaker 7: to win again, veterans, We don't have a lot of guys.
- 7:36Speaker 7: We got no show stoppers. We don't even do the
- 7:39Speaker 7: whole thirty five point a game thing no more, you know.
- 7:43Speaker 10: And nobody really even until you mentioned that, I hadn't
- 7:47Speaker 10: really taken note of that that those scores used to
- 7:50Speaker 10: be minimum twenty eight.
- 7:52Speaker 7: We got Chris Jones on defense, and most people be
- 7:56Speaker 7: hard pressed to name another defensive starter.
- 7:58Speaker 3: Oh the the other I'm saying that.
- 8:06Speaker 7: If you name him once, you name the second defensive
- 8:10Speaker 7: starter the third one, it's gonna blow your mind. You're
- 8:12Speaker 7: gonna be lost. And that's the kind of defense. That's
- 8:15Speaker 7: why I said that kind of the old I think
- 8:17Speaker 7: the Dolphins in the mid eighties they had like.
- 8:20Speaker 3: An when they when they went undefeated, they had to
- 8:24Speaker 3: killer That's all you remember about the Dolphins.
- 8:28Speaker 11: It was the beat. The linebacker's names. Most of the
- 8:30Speaker 11: defensive players had bees in their last name.
- 8:33Speaker 7: Yeah, I know, the killer Bees. I think they also
- 8:34Speaker 7: had a defense what was kind of the no name
- 8:37Speaker 7: or some team had. Yeah, that was that was when
- 8:40Speaker 7: when they went undefeated. That was the no name defense.
- 8:43Speaker 7: And that's kind of like there's Chris Jones and the Chiefs.
- 8:49Speaker 7: That's what their defensives da. Offensively, it's kind of.
- 8:57Speaker 3: Patrick Mahone kind of Patrick.
- 8:59Speaker 7: It's Patrick when you get him in a position to
- 9:02Speaker 7: win offensively totally. You know, one of those kind of
- 9:05Speaker 7: figure out a way to get him in that we
- 9:07Speaker 7: need like full plays. It ain't gonna be nothing real
- 9:10Speaker 7: spectacular up until then, and then we win the game offensively.
- 9:14Speaker 10: The new addition, it's sometimes Bobby Brown is sometimes Ralph
- 9:18Speaker 10: Tresment out and then you might get a little John Yeah,
- 9:21Speaker 10: a little bit.
- 9:22Speaker 7: Yeah, with that team, so a lot of guys that
- 9:25Speaker 7: are gonna come to the forefront. And that's one thing
- 9:28Speaker 7: I do like about the Super Bowl. It shines light
- 9:32Speaker 7: on a lot of guys that are capable. The guys
- 9:36Speaker 7: that have contributed should get their recognition, and not just
- 9:41Speaker 7: the quarterback and the star receiver or the quarterback and
- 9:45Speaker 7: the running back. Everybody gets a booth. Everybody gets to
- 9:48Speaker 7: tell their story of who and what and how uh
- 9:51Speaker 7: And it brings a lot of light to that down
- 9:54Speaker 7: in New Orleans. It will happen. Hopefully we'll see a
- 9:57Speaker 7: little prayer now that nobody is going down there with
- 10:00Speaker 7: some kind of mission, selfish mission of what they are
- 10:05Speaker 7: going to execute down there. You know, we know we
- 10:10Speaker 7: had the tragedy just what a month ago, a month
- 10:14Speaker 7: ago with the driving and they had to postpone the
- 10:16Speaker 7: game to a day later.
- 10:20Speaker 3: What is the Bowl? Sugar Sugar Bowl had to be
- 10:23Speaker 3: put postponed a day.
- 10:25Speaker 7: While, Remember when that was burned into your mind, like
- 10:28Speaker 7: that bowl and they had to postpone the what's the
- 10:32Speaker 7: name of that Bowl? Because so many So we have
- 10:36Speaker 7: that coming up some big NBA news. We're going to
- 10:40Speaker 7: talk about that when we come back from break the
- 10:43Speaker 7: Big Trade at least for now.
- 10:44Speaker 3: And I think.
- 10:47Speaker 7: Dallas and the Mavericks made a decision that they felt
- 10:52Speaker 7: like needed to be made, and some other teams need
- 10:54Speaker 7: to take this the heart, really evaluate what's going on
- 10:59Speaker 7: with your team, even if it involves the Superstars. But
- 11:04Speaker 7: we'll be right back Big Kenny, the funny man himself,
- 11:07Speaker 7: the bad producer and command you, Greg and I we'll

- 15:25Speaker 7: gotta queue that up because it could be the coldest
- 15:30Speaker 7: come back into a song. Yeah, if I told you
- 15:34Speaker 7: what I told you, qub the very, it's very I'm back.
- 15:44Speaker 3: So if you thought that little so I'm back cold.
- 15:48Speaker 7: You don't want none of these sixteen bars, Nobody, nobody, Guys.
- 15:54Speaker 7: Before we get into the NBA eight, just real quick,
- 15:58Speaker 7: would you rather win m v P or the Super Bowl?
- 16:02Speaker 3: I just need you on record. Commands you Greg.
- 16:04Speaker 21: Super Bowl, super Bowl? Okay, the Gregster, let me people
- 16:10Speaker 21: just call you Greg Gregster, Producer, super Bowl Bowl, Big Kenny,
- 16:20Speaker 21: super Bowl, bo the kinster.
- 16:25Speaker 7: And I lived that era. I lived that era, so
- 16:28Speaker 7: I've been I've been the kinster, sir. It was a time.
- 16:35Speaker 7: It was definitely a time. Well, we'll table that for
- 16:40Speaker 7: a second and get into the NBA trade that had
- 16:44Speaker 7: everybody speaking out loud, where the Dallas Mavericks decided, uh
- 16:52Speaker 7: with the Los Angeles Lakers, and uh, it's always good
- 16:58Speaker 7: to see the Lakers have not lost They are mojo.
- 17:02Speaker 7: When teams be talking about money and they can't figure
- 17:05Speaker 7: it out and where to go, the Lakers will make
- 17:10Speaker 7: the splash play. They decided to trade Anthony Davis for
- 17:17Speaker 7: Luca Duncas. Luka Duncas is twenty five, will be twenty
- 17:22Speaker 7: six this month. Anthony Davis is thirty one. He will
- 17:26Speaker 7: be thirty two by the summer. So it's not really
- 17:31Speaker 7: an old man trade for young man, you know, it's
- 17:35Speaker 7: a gently used man in ad for a gently used
- 17:41Speaker 7: young man who never seems to be able to stay
- 17:44Speaker 7: healthy either.
- 17:46Speaker 3: In this trade.
- 17:48Speaker 7: I feel from my side of the table that the
- 17:52Speaker 7: Dallas Mavericks got the best of this trade picking up
- 18:00Speaker 7: Anthony Davis. I've asked different friends. Some of them say Luca,
- 18:05Speaker 7: I ask him why, they say well, Luca can score
- 18:07Speaker 7: the ball, I say, but Anthony Davis has been all
- 18:10Speaker 7: NBA offense and NBA defense, and for some of those
- 18:16Speaker 7: reasons is why the Dallas Mavericks was willing to trade Luca.
- 18:20Speaker 7: The two things I heard the GM mentioned in the
- 18:22Speaker 7: article was his constant negligence. Luca Duncans is to being
- 18:30Speaker 7: in shape in the organization, feeling like his specific injuries
- 18:37Speaker 7: are lack of condition.
- 18:41Speaker 3: And you're out here playing with my money.
- 18:43Speaker 7: And the GM feels like defense wins championships, whereas Luca
- 18:50Speaker 7: even five, what is it, six years into it now
- 18:53Speaker 7: this is year seven seven, still kind of stands around
- 18:57Speaker 7: and uses no effort on defensive end.
- 19:01Speaker 3: Now getting money the.
- 19:03Speaker 7: Lakers, they get to get what they continke they continue
- 19:08Speaker 7: to always have, and that is a marquee player. Rarely
- 19:14Speaker 7: have you found a Laker team without a marquee player
- 19:19Speaker 7: for the last fifty years, whether it was Jerry West
- 19:24Speaker 7: handing the baton to Kareem, Kareem to Magic, Magic to Shaq,
- 19:30Speaker 7: and Kobe shacking Kobe to Lebron, it's always.
- 19:35Speaker 3: They don't go real long periods of time.
- 19:38Speaker 7: Without having a god name, not not not a not
- 19:42Speaker 7: a market not a marquee name.
- 19:44Speaker 3: The marquee name and that Kobe to Lebron was two years.
- 19:49Speaker 7: Right, that's IM saying they don't go ye yeah, when
- 19:53Speaker 7: they kind of passed that, that window to Kobe was.
- 19:56Speaker 3: Like two years.
- 19:58Speaker 7: Yeah because that one of two years there with Nick
- 20:00Speaker 7: van Exel Magic between Magic, Matt Tied to Magic and
- 20:05Speaker 7: Shock that was like five years.
- 20:06Speaker 11: But still yeah because Magic Magic came back in ninety
- 20:10Speaker 11: one and you had Sedell Street your man right there.
- 20:15Speaker 3: Jones was on the team.
- 20:18Speaker 7: And when they drafted Kobe in ninety six.
- 20:22Speaker 11: And traded Ellen Campbell, they traded Elden Campbell because Campbell
- 20:26Speaker 11: was on that.
- 20:27Speaker 7: The Lakers get what they typically like, and that is
- 20:32Speaker 7: a marquee name that no matter what a ring they
- 20:35Speaker 7: go to, regardless of their record, they have someone that
- 20:39Speaker 7: can feel seats. They have that now in Luca Dunkas.
- 20:43Speaker 7: But guys, when you look at this trade, are you
- 20:49Speaker 7: shocked as most people now?
- 20:52Speaker 10: I'm I said it was Adam Silver trying to generate
- 20:58Speaker 10: interest in the NBA. He you know, hey, man, do
- 21:01Speaker 10: me in favor, send your boy today spot And I mean,
- 21:10Speaker 10: because this is all anybody is talking about, a lot
- 21:13Speaker 10: of people who don't even care about basketball have asked me, hey, man,
- 21:17Speaker 10: did you hear what how stupid? That's how they started off.
- 21:20Speaker 10: Did you hear how stupid the Lakers and the Mavericks are?
- 21:24Speaker 10: And I'm like, what they just traded? And I'm like,
- 21:27Speaker 10: and now, and it's the dumbest trade I've ever heard of. Actually,
- 21:32Speaker 10: one of our online listeners this morning made a comment
- 21:35Speaker 10: Hubasa loyal listener said that, uh, rising, I thought the
- 21:41Speaker 10: manning for Nick was the worst trade ever for I
- 21:46Speaker 10: guess Dominique. So see, but we'll.
- 21:52Speaker 3: Take our time now, we don't have to talk over
- 21:53Speaker 3: each other.
- 21:54Speaker 7: I would ask, going off of that reference to you guys,
- 21:58Speaker 7: co man, you greg bad producer?
- 22:00Speaker 3: Before I let it g any way in what would
- 22:02Speaker 3: make what makes this such a bad trade. It's not
- 22:09Speaker 3: a bad trade, it's business.
- 22:11Speaker 9: I think in a sense for me, I think you
- 22:14Speaker 9: no one would just no one saw it coming. I
- 22:17Speaker 9: think that's more of the thing, because do you hear
- 22:21Speaker 9: about what the Lakers need and Anthony David said we
- 22:24Speaker 9: need to get another big or you know, people speculate
- 22:27Speaker 9: about what the Lakers need to get better. And then
- 22:30Speaker 9: with Dallas it was more of well they're just waiting
- 22:33Speaker 9: for Luca to get back from injury and then we'll
- 22:37Speaker 9: see where they are. So no one really saw a
- 22:39Speaker 9: trade for them.
- 22:40Speaker 11: But I like that that's how it should be because
- 22:43Speaker 11: this in this day and era secret, but in this
- 22:46Speaker 11: day of era of sources say that there's a possibility
- 22:49Speaker 11: that was done and it was a trade and everybody shocked,
- 22:52Speaker 11: and that's what sports is supposed to be. To me,
- 22:54Speaker 11: that was an old fashioned move that nobody was in
- 22:58Speaker 11: the low.
- 22:58Speaker 3: And it just happened. The shot is more that there
- 23:02Speaker 3: was no lead to it.
- 23:03Speaker 7: Yeah, there's there was no no.
- 23:08Speaker 3: NBA in silence.
- 23:11Speaker 10: Trailer Fans usually like to feel like they had some inputs.
- 23:16Speaker 10: That's okay, sending him out there like that has anything
- 23:19Speaker 10: to do with them.
- 23:20Speaker 7: We'll be back right after this talk more about this
- 23:23Speaker 7: uh Laker where Lebron is now with Luca and a
- 23:28Speaker 7: d down there with Kyrie uh in Dallas, and and
- 23:32Speaker 7: and I'm gonna mention one point when we come back
- 23:35Speaker 7: that I don't think people gravitated to watch as far
- 23:40Speaker 7: as a signal to why this became possible. We'll be
- 23:44Speaker 7: back right after this.
- 23:48Speaker 3: I told you, I told you twice.
- 23:50Speaker 14: You be told like a poofy from more heights on
- 23:54Speaker 14: a truck.
- 23:55Speaker 5: Heights hits the bonus like the bluchet and so with
- 23:57Speaker 5: you since the days that you said now well.
- 24:00Speaker 22: Watch you spake to Lumbo Bocastle tricks is.
- 24:03Speaker 23: Out, Colossus, turn your castle to brother?
- 24:05Speaker 3: Who who you want?

- 26:52Speaker 3: New, so I can be free. And the sound that
- 26:57Speaker 3: back to the sports show were jam.
- 26:58Speaker 7: Today's gonna make this a jam in Monday, in Black
- 27:04Speaker 7: History Month here on the Sports Shock. Sure, we're gonna
- 27:08Speaker 7: we're gonna jam today, choking in a job that we're
- 27:11Speaker 7: gonna be doing. But if you know, the Sports Shock
- 27:14Speaker 7: to me every day is Black History.
- 27:16Speaker 3: Monk that I wake up.
- 27:18Speaker 7: I'm don't need no idea that we're just gonna do
- 27:22Speaker 7: it now, We're gonna do it all year long. We
- 27:26Speaker 7: left for talking about the Dallas Mavericks, their general manager
- 27:30Speaker 7: Nico Harris emphasized the importance of the culture at a
- 27:35Speaker 7: press comfort with Jason kidds at him and Jason Kidd
- 27:38Speaker 7: both are in sync with each other, even if they
- 27:43Speaker 7: don't see eye to eye.
- 27:45Speaker 3: They are looking for a culture change.
- 27:48Speaker 7: Uh, and some of this stems from when you have
- 27:50Speaker 7: the idea of Luca, because when you watch NBA, a
- 27:56Speaker 7: lot of teams suffer not from a lack of talent,
- 27:59Speaker 7: but the talent of the same kind. They got six
- 28:06Speaker 7: small forward types. Is like they can't get their hand
- 28:10Speaker 7: on something different. When you bring a Luca and you
- 28:13Speaker 7: bring a Kyrie together, it's the same person, is it not?
- 28:19Speaker 3: Well, I think what a scorer who score.
- 28:25Speaker 7: They don't really do another thing that outside of that
- 28:30Speaker 7: impacts the game.
- 28:32Speaker 3: Well, I saw that.
- 28:34Speaker 9: The reason why like it they thought that Luca and
- 28:36Speaker 9: Kyrie could work long term is I call Kyrie a
- 28:39Speaker 9: points guard. It's have a point guard because he is
- 28:43Speaker 9: more of a score than a facilitator. He can do it,
- 28:46Speaker 9: but it's primary skill is scoring, while Luca is someone
- 28:51Speaker 9: who can get a triple double any given night, and
- 28:53Speaker 9: he does. He is a facilitator. He can he averaged
- 28:57Speaker 9: ten to eleven assist a game.
- 28:59Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 28:59Speaker 9: So Kyrie can play off the ball, and that's why
- 29:02Speaker 9: I kind of worked with him playing with Lebron. He
- 29:04Speaker 9: can play off the ball.
- 29:05Speaker 7: And I like that you brought that up about being
- 29:08Speaker 7: a facilitator. The thing that I disagree with people that
- 29:13Speaker 7: say that about Lucas the same way with Trey Young.
- 29:17Speaker 7: You end up with the stat sheet where it's ten assists.
- 29:20Speaker 7: That's true, but eight of them was lobs. It wasn't
- 29:28Speaker 7: I did something I penetrated I got. It's always lobs
- 29:33Speaker 7: which count as assists, so I can't knock the number,
- 29:36Speaker 7: but it's not facilitating.
- 29:38Speaker 3: Trey Young gets a lot of those. It's like, so
- 29:40Speaker 3: he has a lot.
- 29:41Speaker 7: But then, if I've said it at the game, I
- 29:43Speaker 7: can't remember one time he did some kind of penetration
- 29:47Speaker 7: and then got the ball back to Boky. It's always
- 29:52Speaker 7: I got to this athletic center type that has learned
- 29:57Speaker 7: kind of hang back, hang back. If he can't get
- 29:59Speaker 7: the ball off, just gonna kind of throw it in
- 30:01Speaker 7: the air and you dunk it. So when I look
- 30:04Speaker 7: at the twode, their same, the same impact they have
- 30:07Speaker 7: in the game. Luca and I feel that the heads
- 30:12Speaker 7: of the Mavericks realize we got the same person. I
- 30:16Speaker 7: put these two thinking Luca was Lebron, but he's not.
- 30:25Speaker 7: Because Lebron was is more of a score, meaning that
- 30:30Speaker 7: his points come from a variety of whatever the game needs.
- 30:35Speaker 7: Luca ends up shooting a lot of jump shots. Can
- 30:39Speaker 7: we agree on that what he plays more like James exactly?
- 30:45Speaker 7: And now and now, speaking of a James Harden, I'm
- 30:50Speaker 7: to me what's most interesting about this trade that no
- 30:53Speaker 7: one is talking about is part of Dallas's reasoning for
- 30:58Speaker 7: sending what was the marquee named player, one of their
- 31:04Speaker 7: most prolific as far as delivering them wins players on
- 31:11Speaker 7: the market and shipping him off without any trailer. And
- 31:14Speaker 7: that was you a little bit fluffy, and you won't
- 31:18Speaker 7: do nothing about being a little bit fluffy. So Zion
- 31:21Speaker 7: and Joe l Embiid and Kyrie and Kawhi, all of
- 31:26Speaker 7: them dudes out there with them little personality issues that
- 31:30Speaker 7: they think won't allow them to be moved because they
- 31:33Speaker 7: so beloved, take notice of what Dallas has done.
- 31:36Speaker 3: We don't care about how.
- 31:38Speaker 7: Much money your jerseys sell for all of that stuff, Fluffy,
- 31:43Speaker 7: you're not doing what it is we and as a result,
- 31:46Speaker 7: we're never really getting where we're supposed to go. We're
- 31:50Speaker 7: not really being who we could be. And all of
- 31:54Speaker 7: our hopes are hanging on you, and you hanging yours
- 31:57Speaker 7: on a cheeseburger and bad producer. I will get you
- 32:00Speaker 7: you to when you've seen Luca. Luca has always looked
- 32:05Speaker 7: like he's gonna get in shape during the season. Is
- 32:11Speaker 7: that not how he seems to come into the season.
- 32:13Speaker 7: He doesn't come in the season like he's already in
- 32:15Speaker 7: shape ready to play like this, right, I'm gonna go.
- 32:21Speaker 11: I'm gonna go, and by like us older official like
- 32:24Speaker 11: I'm not training, I'm just gonna as the season goal,
- 32:27Speaker 11: you hope you get your wind up, you get your
- 32:29Speaker 11: lungs up, and you'll be able to play. And I
- 32:31Speaker 11: think that I don't know, man, I like the trade.
- 32:37Speaker 11: I really like it. I think it's great for the
- 32:39Speaker 11: Lakers going forward as a as a Laker fans, you're
- 32:43Speaker 11: going forward.
- 32:44Speaker 3: Uh, it's great for Dallas.
- 32:46Speaker 11: Uh that puts them in as a front runner to me,
- 32:49Speaker 11: uh for a chance to you know, they went to
- 32:51Speaker 11: the finals last year. You can get a d and
- 32:54Speaker 11: Kyrie on the same page. You got to you got
- 32:56Speaker 11: something good right there.
- 32:57Speaker 7: Well, your leader definitely can't be seven years and we're
- 33:00Speaker 7: still begging you to get into shape. And then we're
- 33:03Speaker 7: going to the board meeting and the trainers and stuff
- 33:07Speaker 7: are sitting there saying, well, we feel like a lot
- 33:09Speaker 7: of issues. Is that he won't condition, and then he
- 33:13Speaker 7: doesn't stay around in the off season. You'ren't supposed to
- 33:17Speaker 7: be the tempo setter at this point, you're supposed to
- 33:19Speaker 7: be leading the drill. And I've gone to some of
- 33:23Speaker 7: his early games here when Dallas has had to play
- 33:25Speaker 7: on Atlanta in the November December, and you could see
- 33:30Speaker 7: the extra fifteen to seventeen pounds. You could see by
- 33:34Speaker 7: mid second quarter him pulling on his shorts. It makes
- 33:38Speaker 7: very little effort. He rests on defense. He never really
- 33:44Speaker 7: tries to get back into play. And on top of that,
- 33:48Speaker 7: the thing I was saying, when you watch this, you
- 33:51Speaker 7: have to remember Luca Dunkas was Mark Cuban's.
- 33:55Speaker 3: Boy, and that's what I was doing.
- 33:57Speaker 7: Mark Cuban no longer owns the Mavericks outright. He still
- 34:03Speaker 7: runs them in some kind of capacity of the team. Yeah, yeah,
- 34:08Speaker 7: but he doesn't make the major decision. And that's part
- 34:12Speaker 7: where I think some of the people who don't really
- 34:15Speaker 7: understand the people that own that other two thirds. Yeah,
- 34:22Speaker 7: they're going to invest three hundred million. Yeah, we got
- 34:25Speaker 7: that business. I'm gonna yeah, we're gonna do some business, right,
- 34:29Speaker 7: That's what I was gonna say. Mark Cuban.
- 34:31Speaker 11: He put out a statement saying that you know he
- 34:33Speaker 11: didn't know anything about this.
- 34:35Speaker 3: That's the thing about it.
- 34:36Speaker 11: You think about through the years, how long Mark Cuban
- 34:38Speaker 11: kept dirt, dirt whiskey around. You know, he could have
- 34:42Speaker 11: traded dirt or did that through the years, and it
- 34:44Speaker 11: took dirt for ever to get a championship.
- 34:46Speaker 3: He was there forever. But my thing is back to
- 34:48Speaker 3: Luca in the wait.
- 34:49Speaker 11: While we don't hear about Luca the way we hear
- 34:51Speaker 11: them going at Zion, but.
- 34:53Speaker 3: Zion's gonna have to take noticing. I think what I'm saying.
- 34:58Speaker 7: Saying out there, we say it has a larger market,
- 35:01Speaker 7: but no, no, no, he's saying that we see Luca
- 35:04Speaker 7: play more than Zion overweight and I'm not playing. And
- 35:09Speaker 7: then New Orleans isn't on TV a lot either. I
- 35:11Speaker 7: would have he's.
- 35:13Speaker 10: Just sitting on the list. He's just sitting on the bench. Fluffy.
- 35:16Speaker 10: People would mention that. But I think part of what's
- 35:19Speaker 10: interesting to me is that they keep on talking about
- 35:22Speaker 10: how Luca was reluctant to lose the weight. Now all
- 35:26Speaker 10: of these players, I think it's unfair because when you
- 35:29Speaker 10: say it that he gets in sports jockson he gets
- 35:33Speaker 10: in shape during the season. Yesterday, when I became aware
- 35:37Speaker 10: of this trade, it was in a group chat and
- 35:39Speaker 10: someone was like, oh, the Lakers are going to be dangerous,
- 35:41Speaker 10: and the very next comment was, but he'll need ten
- 35:44Speaker 10: to fifteen games to get in shape. You're a professional athlete.
- 35:49Speaker 10: What are you talking about.
- 35:50Speaker 3: This the season?
- 35:52Speaker 7: We are actually all of these games count, and you
- 35:55Speaker 7: show up needing half a season, a quarter of a
- 35:59Speaker 7: season to get yourself in shape enough to play, and
- 36:03Speaker 7: that's disrespectful. And teams are now saying that it's not
- 36:07Speaker 7: worth that. You're you're you're you're playing with our money.
- 36:11Speaker 7: And when you have a new GM, what happens. New
- 36:15Speaker 7: rules come in. When I the first half of my career,
- 36:20Speaker 7: we had running tests, and if you didn't pass the
- 36:23Speaker 7: running test, it was still that part of entry into
- 36:28Speaker 7: that season was still similar to high school. They're gonna
- 36:32Speaker 7: tell you what the running test is, even on the
- 36:35Speaker 7: pro level. To the point by the time I went
- 36:37Speaker 7: to the Saints, my part of my negotia I'm not
- 36:42Speaker 7: doing a running test. I'm thirty. You're either gonna trust
- 36:46Speaker 7: me to come back in shape or not. But coming
- 36:49Speaker 7: out here and tightening my hamstrings, the proof of y'all
- 36:52Speaker 7: that I'm in some kind of shape. We're gonna avoid
- 36:55Speaker 7: all that, and you keep willing to get that with
- 36:57Speaker 7: in a Lucas case where.
- 37:00Speaker 3: This team and a new energy is coming here, he's
- 37:03Speaker 3: up for the super Max and they're watching him, yeah,
- 37:07Speaker 3: like Fizzle and we're losing games and you're being hurt
- 37:12Speaker 3: in this, and you task that all that because organizations
- 37:14Speaker 3: are different. When you said what was the difference, New
- 37:18Speaker 3: Orleans organization was not willing to protect Zion from the
- 37:26Speaker 3: media on that note, and maybe they was using that
- 37:29Speaker 3: hoping that would inspire because everybody's different. So when you
- 37:34Speaker 3: make those kind of comparisons, you got to realize each kid,
- 37:37Speaker 3: each person is different.
- 37:39Speaker 7: So doing that that Luca might not have pushed him forward,
- 37:45Speaker 7: but this might be the only thing that works for Zion.
- 37:48Speaker 7: And I just know I've witnessed Luca seemed like he
- 37:53Speaker 7: had He doesn't stay around in the off season. He
- 37:56Speaker 7: seems like he just is on his own and then
- 37:58Speaker 7: he comes back out of shape and see, and that's
- 38:01Speaker 7: the thing. So we talk more on the other side
- 38:03Speaker 7: of the break, more to Sports Jock Show. Right after
- 38:05Speaker 7: this real.

- 41:02Speaker 3: Back to this mort shot.
- 41:03Speaker 7: Shout out this morn shock Dwayne again to good morning
- 41:06Speaker 7: to you out there listening Land, Happy Monday, comand you
- 41:10Speaker 7: Greg Big Kenney the bat producer in the studio. We
- 41:13Speaker 7: are in super Bowl week, so most of the media
- 41:17Speaker 7: will just be talking about the super Bowl events coming up.
- 41:22Speaker 7: As I said, what is Travis and Taylor doing? Is
- 41:27Speaker 7: Brittany Mahomes pregnant again? Which book is a J Brown
- 41:32Speaker 7: reading this week? And you know Saint Kwan Barkley getting
- 41:36Speaker 7: engaged to be that kind of stuff until next Sunday
- 41:40Speaker 7: and then throwing a splash of a tariff put on
- 41:43Speaker 7: a certain country with the government. And that's how we'll
- 41:46Speaker 7: be rolling for the next six seven days. Speaking of Territs,
- 41:50Speaker 7: Shiloh Sanders compare yourself to the presidents. If you're just gonna,
- 41:56Speaker 7: if you just hate me or you want to hate me,
- 41:59Speaker 7: hate me in a back picture. They do that to
- 42:02Speaker 7: our president. They do that to everybody you know, and
- 42:05Speaker 7: this is just to me. His interviews down at the
- 42:09Speaker 7: Senior Bowl, I mean East West Shrine Bowl last week,
- 42:15Speaker 7: taking a lot of heat of is he a high
- 42:21Speaker 7: draft pick? It's kind of where do people see him.
- 42:24Speaker 7: He feels like he's a higher draft pick than a
- 42:28Speaker 7: lot of the quote unquote professional scouts deem him and
- 42:37Speaker 7: some guys, I will give him credit. The thing with
- 42:39Speaker 7: a lot of positions, like with Shiloh, especially at safety,
- 42:43Speaker 7: some guys just have to be on the field.
- 42:44Speaker 3: It is a difference for some guys.
- 42:47Speaker 7: They might not light up the number board in a
- 42:50Speaker 7: lot of ways, but they have football instincts they and
- 42:53Speaker 7: those football instincts make them faster on the field because
- 42:57Speaker 7: they're reading things faster. Now I think, yeah, when I
- 43:02Speaker 7: watched Shiloh, I definitely think I saw a third fourth
- 43:09Speaker 7: round guy. I don't know where he thinks he is,
- 43:12Speaker 7: but I saw that kind of talent in him.
- 43:16Speaker 3: Okay, now he said that the professional football scouts.
- 43:23Speaker 10: You said that sometimes guy has to get on the
- 43:26Speaker 10: field and it's that football like you, it's those things.
- 43:29Speaker 10: Wouldn't the foot ball professional scouts know how to assess that.
- 43:34Speaker 10: Aren't they the ones trained to go out and say, okay,
- 43:39Speaker 10: this person has those certain intangible things that we're looking for.
- 43:44Speaker 3: And I'm not.
- 43:46Speaker 7: Saying that Shiloh may not have a case in some aspects,
- 43:51Speaker 7: but it's interesting. I've always felt like, especially when your
- 43:56Speaker 7: boss is an audience, that's who tells you how good
- 44:00Speaker 7: you're doing. The people you're playing for tell you how
- 44:04Speaker 7: good you're doing. I don't, I mean, because we all
- 44:06Speaker 7: think we are to.
- 44:08Speaker 3: Well, some lead.
- 44:09Speaker 7: Some scouts are just checking boxes of a spreadsheet. Okay,
- 44:15Speaker 7: they're not actually looking at what you're doing on a
- 44:19Speaker 7: football field. All we know is when we tested you,
- 44:23Speaker 7: you only jump thirty nine inches, you only ran this
- 44:28Speaker 7: so and that's their whole scouting.
- 44:30Speaker 3: And you're getting more and more of that in the
- 44:34Speaker 3: As football grows, sports grows, you see more.
- 44:39Speaker 7: Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Moneyoun, Stanford, guys running. They're doing analytics,
- 44:47Speaker 7: they're running the equations. They're not looking at the actual
- 44:51Speaker 7: product as much as they're looking at the numbers. And
- 44:55Speaker 7: you will have guys that slip through. You will have
- 45:01Speaker 7: you know, Jerry Rice who numbers wise, seems like you're
- 45:09Speaker 7: just gonna be a possession receiver. You're gonna turn around.
- 45:11Speaker 7: You never in the sun. I think that's where Shiloh
- 45:14Speaker 7: kind of fits where he is not the hawking, big safety,
- 45:22Speaker 7: but he also is not this super speedy safety.
- 45:27Speaker 3: So I think that's what.
- 45:29Speaker 7: But I'm just saying to answer your question, some of
- 45:32Speaker 7: those scouts are just purely number god okay.
- 45:36Speaker 3: Suits.
- 45:38Speaker 10: In entertainment, we call them suits. You don't know anything
- 45:40Speaker 10: about it. You just here to make sure we don't
- 45:43Speaker 10: go over budget. Something that you just here because somebody spent.
- 45:47Speaker 7: Too much money. And now you got to come down
- 45:50Speaker 7: and tell us what corporate said. We were talking about
- 45:53Speaker 7: the trade between Luca Duncans Anthony Davis. Anthony Davis a
- 45:57Speaker 7: first ballot Hall of Famer to be aman who went healthy,
- 46:02Speaker 7: has been as dominant at his position. How much did
- 46:06Speaker 7: the Lakers get tired of hearing about Anthony Davis not
- 46:09Speaker 7: want to play center? That comes into play. We know
- 46:12Speaker 7: now for like the last two years he hasn't been
- 46:15Speaker 7: one to be the center. He thinks that contributed to
- 46:18Speaker 7: a lot of his injuries having to go down and
- 46:20Speaker 7: guard due because he really is a small He is
- 46:23Speaker 7: more of a small forward, power forward mind that just
- 46:27Speaker 7: happens to be a center's height height, right, because his
- 46:32Speaker 7: whole story is he was when he was sixteen sixty one.
- 46:36Speaker 7: He was just six one. Six Scots came back. He
- 46:39Speaker 7: had like a seven eight inch heighth growth in about
- 46:42Speaker 7: a fourteen month period. They came back. He didn't even recognize.
- 46:46Speaker 7: They thought a new player was on the coach's team.
- 46:49Speaker 7: Who's the six to ten dude? Hold on, that's ad No,
- 46:54Speaker 7: we got him listed six to one.
- 46:56Speaker 3: What he's man and that's tests that mentality, but you know,
- 47:05Speaker 3: if you're playing.
- 47:06Speaker 7: So that meant his whole life up until about sixteen,
- 47:10Speaker 7: he had more of a guard mentality.
- 47:12Speaker 3: Now you're trying to make him into a center.
- 47:14Speaker 7: He's done a good job his defense, he's but he
- 47:17Speaker 7: feels like he's a better off ball defender, which put
- 47:21Speaker 7: him at the power forward. So how much did that
- 47:24Speaker 7: The Lakers realized they were not going to be able
- 47:26Speaker 7: to find and position somebody to play the center for him,
- 47:30Speaker 7: So hey, how about we attack trying to win another
- 47:34Speaker 7: way with a new Lebron combination, a full outwork, more
- 47:40Speaker 7: small ball.
- 47:41Speaker 9: Approach, and that that would be the kind of player
- 47:45Speaker 9: that if they were to get a center to play
- 47:47Speaker 9: alongside eight, it had to be. Okay, someone who shoots threes.
- 47:51Speaker 9: They're probably like four of those kind of like six
- 47:55Speaker 9: ' ten to seven feet guys who shoot threes that
- 47:58Speaker 9: can spread the floor and block shots. And they aren't
- 48:03Speaker 9: going to be able to trade for anything.
- 48:05Speaker 7: Because even this year and last year, they've been requesting
- 48:08Speaker 7: he shoot more threes.
- 48:10Speaker 3: Anthony Davis. Yeah, you know.
- 48:12Speaker 7: So he's sitting there telling you that's not something you
- 48:15Speaker 7: want to do. So Hey might have to add, but
- 48:18Speaker 7: he's happy to do it. The reporters. He's happy to
- 48:21Speaker 7: go to Dallas. Him and Harrison the executive. The GM
- 48:24Speaker 7: was an executive Nike. They had a great relationship.
- 48:27Speaker 11: And once again I want to applaud the whole Dallas
- 48:30Speaker 11: and Lakers for keeping this thing a secret, how trades
- 48:33Speaker 11: and how everybody is shot.
- 48:34Speaker 3: And I applaud that I don't it might have been
- 48:38Speaker 3: one of them. Last minutes gone.
- 48:39Speaker 29: There, Fat Boy, after this, John Boy, Wayne Board of

- 50:31Speaker 2: Center cord on sports news gossip, blah blah blah blah blah.
- 50:43Speaker 26: Want to see you when I'm gonna to you when
- 50:44Speaker 26: I'm walking custom just good tonight at a time, and

- 50:52Speaker 30: I ain't gonna let.
- 50:53Speaker 1: You get it, Jay.
- 50:58Speaker 7: Work sports. I'm this war shock wing can't Kenny? You said,
- 51:02Speaker 7: we have some comments here about that trade, Yes, sir, Yes, sir,
- 51:05Speaker 7: we have comments from our loyal listeners here online.
- 51:10Speaker 3: First of all, we had.
- 51:13Speaker 10: Cubo say he thought it was the worst since the
- 51:17Speaker 10: Danny Manning for Dominique Wilkins. Uncle Charlie asked, has there
- 51:21Speaker 10: ever been a Superstar for superstar trade, because in his opinion,
- 51:25Speaker 10: this is really what this looks like.
- 51:27Speaker 3: Jess, I'll give you.
- 51:28Speaker 10: My superstar for another superstar, And Kubaza wants to know
- 51:34Speaker 10: and who was that? And then Uncle Charlie said that
- 51:36Speaker 10: being fat can get you can't get you a lyft ride,
- 51:42Speaker 10: and being fat in the NBA might get you traded.
- 51:48Speaker 10: So so sensibilities are shifting because now we've actually said
- 51:51Speaker 10: the word fat several times on this broadcast, and people
- 51:56Speaker 10: are openly saying that word.
- 51:57Speaker 7: When three years, four years ago, we that would be
- 52:02Speaker 7: body shamed.
- 52:05Speaker 3: I'm not shaming you. I'm not at the Beignet shop, sir.
- 52:09Speaker 7: I'm not the one down there with the with the
- 52:11Speaker 7: four plates of PEROCHI.
- 52:13Speaker 3: So you know, Angel Rees in the news cycle again.
- 52:19Speaker 7: Uh, the bad producer wanted to speak on Angel Reese
- 52:22Speaker 7: and tell us that she paid her mom mortgage off.
- 52:28Speaker 3: Yeah, she paid her mother.
- 52:29Speaker 11: It was a birthday present. That's a great birthday present
- 52:33Speaker 11: for any prayer anybody.
- 52:34Speaker 7: Now, why did she need to tell us that, Oh,
- 52:39Speaker 7: here we go.
- 52:40Speaker 11: Why does she need to tell us? I don't know
- 52:43Speaker 11: if necessarily she told what it was leaked. No, it
- 52:45Speaker 11: was on her show and she told Well, she came out,
- 52:49Speaker 11: she gave her mother a birthday president. She basically didn't
- 52:53Speaker 11: wanted her mother to have a little relief.
- 52:55Speaker 3: Well, I'm capping.
- 52:57Speaker 7: This is the same lady, young lady who who was
- 53:00Speaker 7: just talking about she didn't have enough money.
- 53:03Speaker 3: Show was show was to pay her rent. But she
- 53:07Speaker 3: got a new deal.
- 53:11Speaker 7: I'm just you were just and I'm talking about like
- 53:15Speaker 7: in the last like two three months saying you don't
- 53:18Speaker 7: make enough money and all these kind of things, and
- 53:21Speaker 7: you like you were trying to get people to have
- 53:23Speaker 7: sympathy that you couldn't pay your rent, and then you're
- 53:26Speaker 7: saying she couldn't pay.
- 53:27Speaker 11: Her rent off of her w NBA salary. She wasn't
- 53:31Speaker 11: talking about her endorsement. She's fine, but with hers if
- 53:34Speaker 11: she just had to go off of w NBA salary,
- 53:38Speaker 11: tough for.
- 53:40Speaker 10: You, interject, man, interject, Even even that sounds disingenuous. I
- 53:47Speaker 10: don't have enough money to support myself on my job.
- 53:51Speaker 10: This is what I do, this is my profession. I
- 53:54Speaker 10: don't make enough money to support myself.
- 53:56Speaker 7: But somehow I managed to support not only myself.
- 54:00Speaker 3: But pay my mama's house off. Stop it, stop.
- 54:03Speaker 7: It, cap flage whatever it is, man, but that's history.
- 54:10Speaker 7: Stop stop cap and flageo. I'm proud of you.
- 54:14Speaker 3: Angel. Well but why why why?
- 54:18Speaker 11: I mean, some people, there are some people who don't
- 54:23Speaker 11: do nothing for their parents.
- 54:24Speaker 7: If they some parents aren't worthy, unworthy for helping. So
- 54:28Speaker 7: let's some parents ain't even parents. Listen, listen, and that's
- 54:31Speaker 7: not my point.
- 54:33Speaker 3: Apparently she got a good mother, and so we don't
- 54:35Speaker 3: know what kind of mama.
- 54:37Speaker 7: We know that Angel paid off her mama board all
- 54:41Speaker 7: I know. I'm just I was trying to hopefully we
- 54:43Speaker 7: have an intelligence and not you because you like Angel
- 54:45Speaker 7: Ree's conversation.
- 54:47Speaker 3: I was.
- 54:47Speaker 7: I was actually having how did we go from needing?
- 54:51Speaker 7: What is it about Angel Reese? What is she seeking
- 54:57Speaker 7: from all of this needing to put her life when
- 55:02Speaker 7: it's not even it's not she's on her own show
- 55:04Speaker 7: putting her life out there. One day you say you
- 55:08Speaker 7: can't pay your rent, which is ten thousand dollars, So
- 55:13Speaker 7: you're on a show telling people you're having problem paying
- 55:17Speaker 7: your ten thousand dollars a month rent, and then you
- 55:23Speaker 7: flip it and say, well, I paid my mom mortgage off.
- 55:28Speaker 7: And now if one of them places gets robbed, then
- 55:31Speaker 7: you'll be talking about the haters.
- 55:33Speaker 3: And then you're sitting here making it seem like.
- 55:36Speaker 10: What didn't the NBA didn't, the WNBA didn't, the NFL didn't.
- 55:40Speaker 3: Professional sports.
- 55:42Speaker 7: Just have a whole conference about stop telling people how
- 55:45Speaker 7: much you made. I would say, is if she hadn't
- 55:48Speaker 7: led in with just a couple of months ago, how
- 55:50Speaker 7: she was so poor and she was making so little money,
- 55:54Speaker 7: then okay, even then, I don't know that you need
- 56:01Speaker 7: I never needed to know. I needed to tell people
- 56:05Speaker 7: I paid my mom mortgage.
- 56:08Speaker 3: That's tween me and my mama.
- 56:13Speaker 7: So I want, I mean, I want to confess today
- 56:17Speaker 7: that I paid my mother's mortgage off.
- 56:22Speaker 3: In nineteen ninety four.
- 56:24Speaker 7: I want to go on, now, tell me how great
- 56:27Speaker 7: of a man I am that Wow?
- 56:31Speaker 3: Man, whoa whoa man? Wow?
- 56:36Speaker 7: You know how that makes me feel like a buttle
- 56:43Speaker 7: me saying that to people in some kind of manner
- 56:48Speaker 7: in a world where people are making it day to day,
- 56:52Speaker 7: day to day, just to be able to get somebody
- 56:55Speaker 7: to play an applause. That doesn't make me anything. We
- 56:59Speaker 7: all do that stuff. Angel, You didn't really reinvent the wheel.
- 57:04Speaker 7: You ain't the only person with a mama. I got
- 57:07Speaker 7: a mama, My mama, My mama, good mama. Yea, I
- 57:18Speaker 7: come from a family. I come from a family. I'm
- 57:23Speaker 7: trying to help because it seems like nobody's trying to
- 57:25Speaker 7: help this young lady at twenty two. You seem to
- 57:29Speaker 7: be thirsty to be known and talked talked about when
- 57:35Speaker 7: all you gotta do is keep living and dribbling that
- 57:37Speaker 7: ball and people gonna talk about you.
- 57:40Speaker 3: Good or bad. They'll figure out something to say about
- 57:43Speaker 3: your game. That's why.
- 57:45Speaker 10: That's how we know you, That's how we were introduced
- 57:48Speaker 10: to you your basketball game. But part of this may
- 57:52Speaker 10: be generational. She's in that window of uh.
- 57:57Speaker 7: Sports celebrity where a lot of her influences are her
- 58:02Speaker 7: to be a sports may encourage more young ladies to
- 58:09Speaker 7: go hard and they can be able to help pay
- 58:10Speaker 7: out with their parents.
- 58:13Speaker 3: Those ladies are doing it to Adrian Wilson and all.
- 58:15Speaker 7: I'm quite sure if their moms and dads were something,
- 58:19Speaker 7: but they don't need to make an announcement of it.
- 58:26Speaker 7: We'll be back more to Sports Jock Show right after this.

- 59:42Speaker 15: talk about something exciting, life insurance. Three quarters of Americans
- 59:46Speaker 15: believe that coverage represents a critical piece of financial security,
- 59:49Speaker 15: yet only forty nine percent actually have life insurance.
- 59:53Speaker 31: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 59:54Speaker 31: just getting started with our family and thought we live
- 59:56Speaker 31: forever life insurance, Well, what's the last thing on my mind?
- 59:59Speaker 14: What about will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:00:02Speaker 31: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 1:00:04Speaker 31: bills piling up, I was worried how my family was
- 1:00:06Speaker 31: survived without me. That's what I'm in an appointment with
- 1:00:08Speaker 31: the insurance informant.
- 1:00:09Speaker 15: Information gives you power, and life insurance gives your family
- 1:00:12Speaker 15: security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 1:00:15Speaker 31: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I
- 1:00:17Speaker 31: leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 1:00:19Speaker 15: The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty,
- 1:00:22Speaker 15: whether you earn a little or a lot, All you
- 1:00:24Speaker 15: need is the insurance informant to help you build a
- 1:00:26Speaker 15: foundation of security, because without you, your family will have
- 1:00:30Speaker 15: two options, benefits or bills. Which legacy will you leave behind?
- 1:00:35Speaker 15: Log on today, benefits or bills? Dot Com? That's benefits
- 1:00:39Speaker 15: or bills dot Com?
- 1:00:45Speaker 32: Enocus enough, I am why shares.
- 1:00:50Speaker 13: And we hold the world ransom for when you need
- 1:00:53Speaker 13: Excuse me while I whip this out shure.
- 1:00:57Speaker 3: Yeah, broadcasting live and it led it to a jest.
- 1:01:00Speaker 4: This this is the Sports Shock Show with Wayne Ganty.
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: You bing up? Can you plow.
- 1:01:11Speaker 5: Dot Com to come to cot to come to Parks.
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna go on the way
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: you vegan. Welcome back to the Swart Shock Show.
- 1:01:26Speaker 7: I'm in the Sport Shock Wayne, can't he Good morning
- 1:01:28Speaker 7: to you out there listening land Glad to.
- 1:01:30Speaker 3: Be here with you.
- 1:01:30Speaker 7: Super Bowl weekend, uh is excuse me? The super Bowl
- 1:01:34Speaker 7: week is about to start. Here down in New Orleans,
- 1:01:38Speaker 7: planes or landed. Players are in New Orleans. New Orleans
- 1:01:42Speaker 7: set up a little different. Players are more in the
- 1:01:45Speaker 7: crowd Uh. With the hotel situation, Uh, it's hard to
- 1:01:50Speaker 7: find a nice hotel in that area away from the city.
- 1:01:55Speaker 7: Most of New Orleans, the good hotels are down in
- 1:01:58Speaker 7: the crowded section.
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: Of the city.
- 1:02:02Speaker 7: And so sometimes you know, you're you'll see players and
- 1:02:07Speaker 7: they're able to find luxury hotel accommodations a couple of
- 1:02:12Speaker 7: miles out. But down in the Bourbon Street quarters, different
- 1:02:17Speaker 7: places like that, that's where you have to stay. So
- 1:02:19Speaker 7: we will see how these teams handle that. And then
- 1:02:22Speaker 7: sometimes it's easier because the players can you know, don't
- 1:02:28Speaker 7: want it to be a distraction. Rights the distraction not
- 1:02:32Speaker 7: being in front of you is the curiosity that keeps
- 1:02:35Speaker 7: driving keeps driving you right, because you know New Orleans,
- 1:02:39Speaker 7: all of those luxury hotels, not only are they very
- 1:02:45Speaker 7: centrally located in the city, but they're literally walking distance
- 1:02:50Speaker 7: from one another. There's not like a luxury hotel a
- 1:02:54Speaker 7: plethora of luxury hotels spread out around the city.
- 1:02:57Speaker 10: They got them right in that central area. And so
- 1:03:00Speaker 10: you the fans and the opposing team will all be together.
- 1:03:03Speaker 7: Well, you definitely have to get those higher floors if
- 1:03:07Speaker 7: you're trying to get some some kind of sleep without
- 1:03:10Speaker 7: all the noise.
- 1:03:11Speaker 3: What was your question, sir, what was that?
- 1:03:13Speaker 11: Melitar E T T. Yeah, is that an area because
- 1:03:19Speaker 11: I know a lot of.
- 1:03:23Speaker 7: Not not the kind of luxury accommodations that the interfact Well,
- 1:03:26Speaker 7: I know that No, they got some good hotel free
- 1:03:30Speaker 7: breakfast kind of I'm saying they got they got hot coffee,
- 1:03:33Speaker 7: they got.
- 1:03:33Speaker 3: Some nice stuff.
- 1:03:34Speaker 11: I know that one year was reporting that Bill Belichick
- 1:03:37Speaker 11: he drove his team they stayed outside the city. When
- 1:03:40Speaker 11: and then I know when University North Carolina Dean Smith
- 1:03:43Speaker 11: the years that they won one time down in New
- 1:03:46Speaker 11: Orleans and twice he always took the team outside the city.
- 1:03:49Speaker 11: It was like somewhere outside of the city. So there
- 1:03:52Speaker 11: is a location that you can you just have to go.
- 1:03:54Speaker 7: There's plenty of locations. That's why I use the word luxury,
- 1:03:59Speaker 7: and it's pretty there's plenty of hotels outside. Now the
- 1:04:04Speaker 7: further you go, the more you're gonna run into your
- 1:04:06Speaker 7: standard and that's where you would have to either make
- 1:04:11Speaker 7: a deal with that hotel that maybe they have a
- 1:04:14Speaker 7: kitchen enough to supply the food, or you would have
- 1:04:17Speaker 7: to hire a caterer to bring the food to But
- 1:04:21Speaker 7: you're talking about a mass amount of people.
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: Now we're not. You're talking about super Bowl travel.
- 1:04:27Speaker 7: Super Bowl travel is typically offered to the whole organization,
- 1:04:32Speaker 7: not just the players, the players' wives, the commo days
- 1:04:35Speaker 7: and of the secretary's and they still call them that
- 1:04:39Speaker 7: executive executive existence and everybody typically get a plus one
- 1:04:45Speaker 7: to go along with them and heat.
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: Gluten free and then you gluten free.
- 1:04:49Speaker 7: And that's Monday through Wednesday and Thursday, your kids and
- 1:04:54Speaker 7: the grandparents. You got to have all that so you
- 1:04:56Speaker 7: can go out. But with a Belichick, with a Dean's
- 1:05:00Speaker 7: Smith and the kind of team and personalities they would have,
- 1:05:03Speaker 7: they might have the team and the players that were
- 1:05:07Speaker 7: willing to be something for a week and just be
- 1:05:11Speaker 7: at a standard, you know, bar soap wrapped in paper standard.
- 1:05:18Speaker 7: You got to ask for a third washclaw kind of
- 1:05:21Speaker 7: right right right, Like I said, we got three Continental Breakfast.
- 1:05:26Speaker 7: It's from seven to ten and now at ten on one,
- 1:05:34Speaker 7: you kind of in that space we were talking about
- 1:05:37Speaker 7: Angels fade over. Mom's mortgage didn't understand why she needs
- 1:05:42Speaker 7: to say that she complained about money, but she did
- 1:05:44Speaker 7: get a McDonald's deal, which I don't know why.
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: It's her meal already, it's something that somebody was ordering.
- 1:05:53Speaker 7: You know what, orange, I see a fry and bacon
- 1:05:59Speaker 7: on a.
- 1:05:59Speaker 9: Quarter pound Like you can order it that way already,
- 1:06:04Speaker 9: you can order that.
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: See, that's the difference. That's the difference.
- 1:06:10Speaker 7: No, it's just it's just a quarter pounders or cheese
- 1:06:12Speaker 7: meal with bacon.
- 1:06:14Speaker 9: But it sounds like it's the same as didn't they
- 1:06:16Speaker 9: have the Cardi bing offset meal would sounded like it
- 1:06:20Speaker 9: was that exact.
- 1:06:22Speaker 11: Well, maybe that's that's the Maybe that's the celebrity meal,
- 1:06:25Speaker 11: and they just switch out different and people name on
- 1:06:29Speaker 11: the they're just like tricking whoever whoever's hot at that moment,
- 1:06:33Speaker 11: your name.
- 1:06:34Speaker 9: So they just tricked people in the buying the same
- 1:06:36Speaker 9: the food you can already order, just put someone's.
- 1:06:38Speaker 3: Name on it.
- 1:06:38Speaker 7: And in the Unrivaled League, she became the first person ejected.
- 1:06:42Speaker 7: The other night she's been they threw her out of
- 1:06:45Speaker 7: the game. And the three and the three League, the Unrivaled,
- 1:06:49Speaker 7: she's the first person they've ever.
- 1:06:50Speaker 9: Had she got fined or not. It sounds just being
- 1:06:54Speaker 9: financially irresponsible. Now, this is something, this is something I
- 1:06:58Speaker 9: wanted to ask. The other night, I just happened to
- 1:07:02Speaker 9: come pass Unrivaled, and I was surprised to see Angel playing.
- 1:07:06Speaker 10: And what's the girl's name? The not Caitlin Clark, but
- 1:07:12Speaker 10: the other one that everybody was talking about. He got
- 1:07:15Speaker 10: one and and I was like, that's right.
- 1:07:18Speaker 3: These are w.
- 1:07:19Speaker 7: NB player NBA players doing this. Didn't they complain about
- 1:07:23Speaker 7: having a play in the off season before, like overseas?
- 1:07:26Speaker 3: They was mad. They were mad they had to go
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: overseas to do it.
- 1:07:31Speaker 7: Oh, so they weren't mad about playing. They just was
- 1:07:34Speaker 7: mad they had to go overseas. Okay, But okay, because
- 1:07:38Speaker 7: I'm wondering, like, if you're Mike Marquy playing, you hurt
- 1:07:41Speaker 7: yourself in the well. Everybody's not playing, I know, but
- 1:07:46Speaker 7: I'm saying, like an Angel Reese, I would imagine she's
- 1:07:48Speaker 7: an important piece of her team and Excu is an
- 1:07:50Speaker 7: important piece to our team.
- 1:07:52Speaker 3: And I twisted my ankle out here with the I
- 1:07:55Speaker 3: don't know if the rights are the same.
- 1:07:57Speaker 7: I don't know that the WNBA has the rights like
- 1:08:01Speaker 7: you're saying with the NBA to stop you from playing
- 1:08:04Speaker 7: in some league, so it would have to be something
- 1:08:07Speaker 7: we would have to look at the collective bargain agreement.
- 1:08:09Speaker 7: I would imagine it doesn't because the players typically go overseas,
- 1:08:14Speaker 7: so they would have to give them that leeway.
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: And as of right.
- 1:08:17Speaker 9: Now, they don't have a collective bargain agreement, at least
- 1:08:21Speaker 9: for this season.
- 1:08:25Speaker 11: I know that Sabrina was basically in that game. She
- 1:08:28Speaker 11: was telling them, you can't guard me dig So apparently
- 1:08:34Speaker 11: that's got Angel a little upset.
- 1:08:37Speaker 3: And got off off but she told her you can't
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: guard me.
- 1:08:43Speaker 7: Georgia, the lawmakers are looking to push to make corn
- 1:08:47Speaker 7: bread the official bread of the state of Georgia. Are
- 1:08:53Speaker 7: you guys into cornbread or your corn bread? You're corn bread?
- 1:09:00Speaker 3: Yes? From scratch cornbrea, Yes, your corn bread. I'm finding
- 1:09:05Speaker 3: that very interesting. Interesting.
- 1:09:08Speaker 10: And he won't eat a biscuit, but he eats some
- 1:09:10Speaker 10: cormb bread.
- 1:09:13Speaker 9: Hey, he's gonna eat your comb bread with my diat.
- 1:09:17Speaker 9: It's a it's a special occasion kind of thing to
- 1:09:20Speaker 9: have corn bread.
- 1:09:23Speaker 3: Are you a corn bread guy? I mean, if it's there,
- 1:09:26Speaker 3: but I really have a roll.
- 1:09:27Speaker 7: And Georgia is pushing to make it the official bread
- 1:09:30Speaker 7: of the state of the state. Now, now it's something
- 1:09:33Speaker 7: that is It's southern. It's so and that's the only thing.
- 1:09:39Speaker 7: It was Georgia. That's the only thing that.
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: I was caught upon.
- 1:09:43Speaker 10: It is particularly below the Mason Dixon line.
- 1:09:47Speaker 7: A US think a southern thing. It's the Southern bread.
- 1:09:52Speaker 7: You gotta have that.
- 1:09:54Speaker 11: That that black iron skin, cast cast iron cabinets full
- 1:09:59Speaker 11: of them, Yes, sir, well that style and enlisted other
- 1:10:02Speaker 11: styles of corn bread.
- 1:10:05Speaker 3: There is a northern corn bread that stops. See that's
- 1:10:07Speaker 3: what I don't do that raisins or something. Don't do that.
- 1:10:13Speaker 3: Don't do that. Don't know it's what's don't ask don't
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: please tell me. It doesn't need to We need to
- 1:10:20Speaker 3: know because if George is gonna.
- 1:10:22Speaker 11: Make it officially, because it's apparently for them to do that,
- 1:10:26Speaker 11: there's some disparit gets the Northern.
- 1:10:30Speaker 3: So what's in there?
- 1:10:30Speaker 9: The Northern is sweeter and more cake like after incorporating
- 1:10:34Speaker 9: flour and sugar. Now there's two more.
- 1:10:39Speaker 10: Okay, See I did not know that because in my
- 1:10:41Speaker 10: corn bread recipe, I incorporate both white and brown sugar.
- 1:10:48Speaker 3: So your sweeter.
- 1:10:50Speaker 10: So it is sweeter, and it has a and I
- 1:10:52Speaker 10: will make you richer to make it more of a
- 1:10:55Speaker 10: caker consistency. So I've been cooking Northern corn bread this time.
- 1:11:00Speaker 7: At the time I thought it was just cornbrid just
- 1:11:03Speaker 7: corn recipes corn, just a different recipe. I don't see.
- 1:11:08Speaker 7: Based on the products of where you you are, it's
- 1:11:11Speaker 7: a different in tea. It's like corn bread, it's got
- 1:11:14Speaker 7: to be a different.
- 1:11:15Speaker 9: It's the Mexican corn bread. Yeah, that's a different Johnny cakes.
- 1:11:19Speaker 7: But Johnny Cakes are just hot cakes, taking the corn
- 1:11:22Speaker 7: bread and making them like pancakes.
- 1:11:24Speaker 3: That's it. That's the different Mexican corn bread. Typically it's
- 1:11:27Speaker 3: just corn.
- 1:11:29Speaker 7: You got the whole, whole pieces of corn and some chopped,
- 1:11:34Speaker 7: so it's just just different recipes of it. I'm not
- 1:11:36Speaker 7: a corn bread person really at all. Really now, no fence.
- 1:11:43Speaker 7: You just seem like an all delicious foods.
- 1:11:45Speaker 3: Person to me. It's not delicious to me.
- 1:11:47Speaker 10: Oh dry, and it falls apart.
- 1:11:51Speaker 3: That's what I said.
- 1:11:52Speaker 10: You are to try and slice of mind sports Jack.
- 1:11:54Speaker 10: It might change your mind.
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: Now you got that Northern corn maybe that's it. Maybe
- 1:11:59Speaker 3: maybe you need.
- 1:11:59Speaker 10: To try something. No, it's not that I haven't had
- 1:12:02Speaker 10: it and the variety. Yes, it's it's different incarnations.
- 1:12:06Speaker 7: Yeah, your coin bread sounds like it probably tastes like
- 1:12:09Speaker 7: that Boston Market. Remember Boston Market corn bread. I've had
- 1:12:13Speaker 7: all versions of it. It's just is not your thing.
- 1:12:18Speaker 7: Are you a rolls because now I'm just a fresh
- 1:12:20Speaker 7: baked goods, bread, rolls, muffin, you know, anything as a
- 1:12:26Speaker 7: side carb to go with a meal, a biscuit. I
- 1:12:29Speaker 7: don't need bread to go with a meal at all, period.
- 1:12:32Speaker 7: I'm a bread with meal.
- 1:12:33Speaker 3: Typically.
- 1:12:33Speaker 7: If I'm eating bread, I'm just because I'm at the
- 1:12:35Speaker 7: restaurant and we're waiting for the food. Yeah, I don't
- 1:12:39Speaker 7: need a piece of bread to go with I have
- 1:12:42Speaker 7: specific breads that go with specific meals. I'm one of
- 1:12:45Speaker 7: them to at all. I don't eat bread. We'll be

- 1:17:47Speaker 7: head coach James Franklin is fifty three. Model actress Julia
- 1:17:53Speaker 7: Fox is thirty five. Sean Elliott sharpshooter for the Spurs.
- 1:17:57Speaker 7: Spurs with a big trade. We'll talk about here as
- 1:18:00Speaker 7: the show goes on.
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: Uh.
- 1:18:02Speaker 7: They also be in town here on Wednesday to take
- 1:18:05Speaker 7: on the Hawks. Jean Elliott is fifty seven.
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: UH.
- 1:18:08Speaker 7: And Shakira Uh is forty eight years old. As she
- 1:18:14Speaker 7: I didn't know she was as old as she is,
- 1:18:16Speaker 7: but she's forty. She won another Grammy last night.
- 1:18:19Speaker 3: Eight. She's still making music too, So big Kenny us
- 1:18:24Speaker 3: super Bowl week.
- 1:18:24Speaker 7: It's Super Bowl week, early in the week, so you
- 1:18:28Speaker 7: don't want to tear yourself out.
- 1:18:31Speaker 3: But you gotta stay.
- 1:18:32Speaker 7: You gotta stay fluid, you gotta stay you know what
- 1:18:35Speaker 7: I'm saying, got to keep yourself in shape.
- 1:18:37Speaker 3: I one just gets still.
- 1:18:38Speaker 10: So uh, I'm gonna have to go with Shakira used
- 1:18:42Speaker 10: to be the most flexible of the work assignments available.
- 1:18:48Speaker 7: Celebrate the winds Fisher. You know, I got a ginger
- 1:18:51Speaker 7: thing so and Redhead almost won. But you's got it too.
- 1:18:57Speaker 7: What's except Rocky trial? Where's his headed?
- 1:19:01Speaker 3: Listen? I got a chat. I think he was.
- 1:19:04Speaker 7: He was offered a plea deal and turned it down. Okay,
- 1:19:07Speaker 7: offer the plea, turned it down? What else we got
- 1:19:09Speaker 7: on it?
- 1:19:11Speaker 3: He going to jail? I don't know we got one
- 1:19:13Speaker 3: going to jail.
- 1:19:14Speaker 7: I gotta check it with my probation officer to see
- 1:19:16Speaker 7: if I'm even allowed to talk about eight sap because
- 1:19:19Speaker 7: he kind of close to going to jail. I'm not
- 1:19:22Speaker 7: saying he did it, so I'm just sat jail. And
- 1:19:27Speaker 7: we got a plea deal that was turned down. Turned down,
- 1:19:32Speaker 7: Now that's a positive. Well it's feast of famine plea
- 1:19:35Speaker 7: deal that you turned down? Kind of mean that your
- 1:19:38Speaker 7: Lloyd and said they ain't got enough? Are you just stupid?
- 1:19:41Speaker 11: Baby Mama has been showing up in court Rihanna the
- 1:19:45Speaker 11: last couple of time days, so she may be willing
- 1:19:48Speaker 11: to I thought they were married.
- 1:19:49Speaker 3: Well they're not.
- 1:19:52Speaker 7: And listen, baby Mama and court ain't always a good thing.
- 1:19:55Speaker 7: Just no, no, no, what I'm saying. She's there as
- 1:19:59Speaker 7: a support.
- 1:20:00Speaker 11: Yeah, so possibly they may be willing to, you know,
- 1:20:03Speaker 11: make this thing go away with her showing up.
- 1:20:05Speaker 3: Hopefully they can help doubt the federal government do yeah,
- 1:20:11Speaker 3: and listen and listen, and this is the thing the
- 1:20:18Speaker 3: country somewhere you shot.
- 1:20:20Speaker 10: In federal cases, much like most cases in my opinion,
- 1:20:25Speaker 10: when they say, hey, man, look look we.
- 1:20:29Speaker 3: Willing to cut you some slack. But he didn't take
- 1:20:32Speaker 3: the deal, so he know what I'm saying.
- 1:20:34Speaker 7: When they say that, that's usually the the rubber hits
- 1:20:38Speaker 7: the road moment, like okay, if you don't play now
- 1:20:41Speaker 7: when when it does not go your way, it's gonna
- 1:20:45Speaker 7: really not go your way.
- 1:20:47Speaker 10: Right now, you can kind of get out ahead of this.
- 1:20:50Speaker 10: You might do a little teenchy bit of time. You're
- 1:20:53Speaker 10: gonna pay some restitution, but your kids will grow up
- 1:20:57Speaker 10: with a dad in their life. Out side of this.
- 1:21:00Speaker 10: You're gonna miss a large chunk of their growing up.
- 1:21:04Speaker 7: So we will see. You think this will be a
- 1:21:06Speaker 7: long case. It'll be tied up here in this next
- 1:21:08Speaker 7: week or two. I'm going to keep my eye on it.
- 1:21:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't.
- 1:21:14Speaker 10: The testimony has been running pretty fast and usually the
- 1:21:18Speaker 10: only thing that would hold it up after that would
- 1:21:20Speaker 10: be jury deliberation, and that's on the lawyers, you know,
- 1:21:24Speaker 10: if they if they presented that doubt and they can
- 1:21:27Speaker 10: quickly come to now he didn't do it.
- 1:21:29Speaker 3: We move along. But if you know, they hackle too long,
- 1:21:33Speaker 3: it can end up in a mistry.
- 1:21:35Speaker 7: The Kansas City chiefs have already gone on record that
- 1:21:38Speaker 7: they will not hold a public rally if they win.
- 1:21:43Speaker 7: Is coming a Sunday in the Super Bowl, and this
- 1:21:46Speaker 7: is stemming from the deadly shooting that happened last year.
- 1:21:51Speaker 7: So they've already put it out there that they won't
- 1:21:55Speaker 7: be having an official public rally. Now whatever the City
- 1:21:59Speaker 7: of kansasity he does or the fans, that would just
- 1:22:03Speaker 7: be on them. But taking those precautions of something that
- 1:22:08Speaker 7: it just happened, which is that deadly shooting that happened,
- 1:22:12Speaker 7: that they're not going to officially have a public rally
- 1:22:18Speaker 7: if they win the super Bowl, which would make their
- 1:22:21Speaker 7: third in a row, if they can pull this off
- 1:22:24Speaker 7: in New Orleans, which I think is a smart move
- 1:22:27Speaker 7: as an organization to just go ahead on and put
- 1:22:30Speaker 7: it out there, we're not going to be gathering after
- 1:22:33Speaker 7: last year. And sometimes you have to let the public
- 1:22:38Speaker 7: or let people pay for their transgressions. So if you'all
- 1:22:41Speaker 7: going to act like this, this is what we'll do.
- 1:22:45Speaker 7: I know, for something just as simple as me having
- 1:22:48Speaker 7: a Fourth of July party, I stopped it because once
- 1:22:50Speaker 7: the people got to a certain point of how they acted,
- 1:22:57Speaker 7: how they carried themselves, then I won't have.
- 1:23:00Speaker 10: It because my peace of mind won't allow me to
- 1:23:04Speaker 10: keep trying to have those conversations with you about respecting
- 1:23:08Speaker 10: my stuff.
- 1:23:08Speaker 3: Correct.
- 1:23:09Speaker 7: You know, at some point I start turning my own
- 1:23:11Speaker 7: stuff over, and you know it ain't gonna work for nobody.
- 1:23:14Speaker 3: We'll be back more to Sports Shock Show right after this,
- 1:23:40Speaker 3: don't go away.
- 1:23:41Speaker 12: More of the Sports Jos Show with Wayne Dandius coming
- 1:23:44Speaker 12: up next.
- 1:23:46Speaker 14: And now let's talk about something exciting, life insurance.
- 1:23:48Speaker 15: Three quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical
- 1:23:52Speaker 15: piece of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually
- 1:23:56Speaker 15: have life insurance.
- 1:23:57Speaker 31: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 1:23:58Speaker 31: just getting started with our FIS family and thought, we
- 1:24:00Speaker 31: live forever life insurance. What's the last thing on my mind?
- 1:24:03Speaker 3: What about you?
- 1:24:04Speaker 14: Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:24:06Speaker 31: When I was forty with a kid in college and
- 1:24:08Speaker 31: bills piling up. I was worried how my family will
- 1:24:10Speaker 31: survive without me. That's what I'm inde an appointment with
- 1:24:12Speaker 31: the insurance informant.
- 1:24:13Speaker 15: Information gives you power and life insurance gives your family
- 1:24:16Speaker 15: security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 1:24:19Speaker 31: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I
- 1:24:21Speaker 31: leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 1:24:23Speaker 15: The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty,
- 1:24:26Speaker 15: whether you earn a little or a lot, All you
- 1:24:28Speaker 15: need is the insurance informant to help you build a
- 1:24:30Speaker 15: foundation of security, because without you, your family will have
- 1:24:34Speaker 15: two options, benefits or bills. Which legacy will you leave behind?
- 1:24:39Speaker 15: Log on today benefits or bills dot com? That's benefits
- 1:24:43Speaker 15: orbills dot com.
- 1:24:46Speaker 3: Hurting the game.
- 1:24:48Speaker 33: We tough it out, feel exhausted, we push on feeling down.
- 1:24:53Speaker 33: We pull ourselves up by the bootstraps. But there are
- 1:24:57Speaker 33: times when bootstraps aren't enough gets to us and we
- 1:25:01Speaker 33: need to talk to someone about what we're really going through.
- 1:25:04Speaker 33: So we're going to reach out because sometimes mental health

- 1:26:00Speaker 2: lounge on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:26:22Speaker 7: Welcome back to the Sportshock Show. I'm the Sports Shock
- 1:26:24Speaker 7: Wayne Cande. At the beginning of the show, guys, I
- 1:26:28Speaker 7: asked you would.
- 1:26:29Speaker 3: You rather win an MVP or a Super Bowl? Uh?
- 1:26:34Speaker 7: And to a man, at least on this panel, you
- 1:26:37Speaker 7: gentlemen said a super Bowl. That question derived from comments
- 1:26:43Speaker 7: last week from m VP. A couple of years ago
- 1:26:48Speaker 7: for the Carolina Panthers mithster Cam Newton, who went on
- 1:26:53Speaker 7: an interview stephen A. Smith on ESPN asked him would
- 1:26:58Speaker 7: he give basically give up his MV to win a
- 1:27:01Speaker 7: Super Bowl, where Cam Newton said, no, he values his MVP. Now,
- 1:27:08Speaker 7: he did play in a Super Bowl in which he
- 1:27:10Speaker 7: lost against Denver, but so he doesn't have that to
- 1:27:15Speaker 7: be able to say in his pocket, but he was
- 1:27:17Speaker 7: in one. But he was emphatic that he appreciate and
- 1:27:22Speaker 7: even went on to explain why he would value his MVP.
- 1:27:28Speaker 7: I thought it was poetic from the sense of finally
- 1:27:33Speaker 7: just for the bad producer type people to help them
- 1:27:38Speaker 7: understand a Cam Newton why other people might have an
- 1:27:42Speaker 7: issue with a Cam because making that statement, I would
- 1:27:47Speaker 7: say a psychiatrist or psychologist would say that shows the
- 1:27:53Speaker 7: individualism of that individual. That's how some people and that
- 1:28:00Speaker 7: is what Cam Newton has shown himself to be in
- 1:28:05Speaker 7: his career. As great as he is, Heisman Trophy winner,
- 1:28:09Speaker 7: one of the most unbelievable seasons at Auburn that you
- 1:28:12Speaker 7: would ever record in history, went on in the NBA.
- 1:28:16Speaker 7: Big Strong never really developed enough as a passer, so
- 1:28:21Speaker 7: when his speech started to decline, he started falling into trouble,
- 1:28:25Speaker 7: not able to get hisself out. Has had a huge
- 1:28:29Speaker 7: voice right or wrong. People have let him speak here
- 1:28:33Speaker 7: in his retirement on different issues. We just talked about
- 1:28:37Speaker 7: him having Dwight Howard's ex girlfriend on his show. But
- 1:28:43Speaker 7: this statement something that you can actually have a conversation on.
- 1:28:48Speaker 7: What do you value more winning an MVP or Super Bowl?
- 1:28:55Speaker 7: The Four of Us at Super Bowl?
- 1:28:57Speaker 3: So bad? Producer? What does that say about the four
- 1:29:01Speaker 3: of us? Compared to him saying his MVP team players?
- 1:29:07Speaker 11: And to me it said, it said that we're more
- 1:29:10Speaker 11: about the team, about the unit. Disappointed in Cam right now,
- 1:29:16Speaker 11: you know, you know, just disappointed for the people in Carolina,
- 1:29:20Speaker 11: like people like my.
- 1:29:20Speaker 3: Mom and them who like they really love Cam for
- 1:29:23Speaker 3: what he was doing for the community.
- 1:29:25Speaker 11: And to me, that makes me, it made me go
- 1:29:27Speaker 11: back back in November of last year, Cam was mad
- 1:29:30Speaker 11: at the Panthers because they didn't invite him on an
- 1:29:33Speaker 11: alumni trip. And so then you go to your Super
- 1:29:35Speaker 11: Bowl and for you to ask that question on a
- 1:29:37Speaker 11: national TV, a national program with Stephen A. Smith to say,
- 1:29:43Speaker 11: I take my and that was the year you went
- 1:29:45Speaker 11: to the Super Bowl to your MVP and and then
- 1:29:49Speaker 11: you got people when they remember that. Now, it makes
- 1:29:52Speaker 11: people now when you didn't dive on that ball, Cam, Okay,
- 1:29:56Speaker 11: it made people start.
- 1:29:58Speaker 3: It made people start to from the Deacon corner a man.
- 1:30:02Speaker 7: Okay, Now now I have to say I was gonna
- 1:30:05Speaker 7: bring up that point and see I would gonna circle
- 1:30:09Speaker 7: back around.
- 1:30:10Speaker 3: Do y'all remember when Cam didn't dive on that ball. Yeah, man,
- 1:30:14Speaker 3: that he was thinking more me, me, me, me now
- 1:30:21Speaker 3: than we.
- 1:30:23Speaker 10: And now see this is this is where I slightly
- 1:30:26Speaker 10: differ from everyone here. I like, you value a super
- 1:30:32Speaker 10: Bowl win over an MVP trophy. But if I were
- 1:30:35Speaker 10: to have my way, I would like to be the
- 1:30:37Speaker 10: MVP of the super Bowl that we win together, because
- 1:30:42Speaker 10: that's just making it unquestionable that I'm much better than
- 1:30:47Speaker 10: everyone else. Not only did I win my super Bowl,
- 1:30:51Speaker 10: I didn't just go I wanted, and then everybody said
- 1:30:54Speaker 10: you the best one out here, out of all the
- 1:30:56Speaker 10: championship caliber people.
- 1:30:59Speaker 7: Now that's just but you have to win the super
- 1:31:01Speaker 7: Bowl first, but the MVP. And that's what I'm saying.
- 1:31:05Speaker 7: You said you want to be the super Bowl MV.
- 1:31:07Speaker 7: I want I want to be the super Bowl MVP.
- 1:31:11Speaker 29: He won.
- 1:31:12Speaker 10: I'm saying I would rather win the super Bowl MVP
- 1:31:17Speaker 10: and League MVP, but just one or the other. It
- 1:31:20Speaker 10: would have to be super Bowl because again, that's what
- 1:31:23Speaker 10: people hold up as Cam. You always almost that guy.
- 1:31:28Speaker 10: That's the problem with Cam. You're always almost that guy.
- 1:31:32Speaker 10: But you're a great quarterback, but you never developed you.
- 1:31:36Speaker 10: You're an MVP, but you are never super Bowl winner,
- 1:31:38Speaker 10: and you're always almost that guy.
- 1:31:41Speaker 11: Not only does that circle back to like I said,
- 1:31:43Speaker 11: when he didn't have wan that boat, but Cam, you
- 1:31:46Speaker 11: was on a winning national championship college team. It's not
- 1:31:50Speaker 11: like you don't know how to win as a team.
- 1:31:53Speaker 3: So that's to me.
- 1:31:55Speaker 11: I think Cam is more but hurt with the city
- 1:31:59Speaker 11: of Charlotte not to see this more of the Carolina Panthers,
- 1:32:03Speaker 11: And I think.
- 1:32:04Speaker 7: A lot of that is he's in his feelings because
- 1:32:08Speaker 7: how they're treating him. Why we at players, Why are
- 1:32:11Speaker 7: we acting so surprised that Cam himself saying I don't
- 1:32:15Speaker 7: really see the connection. I don't see the connection between
- 1:32:18Speaker 7: him saying yeah he wants.
- 1:32:22Speaker 3: Okay, okay, this is why I say that.
- 1:32:24Speaker 11: You know how many people were mad at Cam when
- 1:32:26Speaker 11: he didn't dive on that ball up there, and they
- 1:32:28Speaker 11: felt That's the reason why there's people in Charlotte, in
- 1:32:31Speaker 11: the whole, both Carolinas north and south, who think that
- 1:32:35Speaker 11: if Cam would have dove on that ball, that would
- 1:32:37Speaker 11: have been a difference.
- 1:32:38Speaker 3: I mean in that game. Can it just be that? Okay?
- 1:32:40Speaker 9: The questions asked what he would he trade the m
- 1:32:43Speaker 9: VP for a Super Bowl win, him saying no, That
- 1:32:48Speaker 9: shows that his he but it had nothing to do
- 1:32:53Speaker 9: with with the team or the city. That's just how
- 1:32:57Speaker 9: he sees himself.
- 1:32:59Speaker 3: And that's so. But but listen though, but listen, Cam
- 1:33:02Speaker 3: did so much. Listen he does so he's still do
- 1:33:04Speaker 3: a lot for the city he put on. I mean
- 1:33:07Speaker 3: he doesn't.
- 1:33:09Speaker 7: But I think at the you're you're mixing some causes here,
- 1:33:14Speaker 7: You're you're mixing None of these things have anything to
- 1:33:19Speaker 7: do with the city. And the football is all we
- 1:33:22Speaker 7: talking about, right, I'm talking about the organization.
- 1:33:26Speaker 3: Said the organization.
- 1:33:28Speaker 7: He didn't bring up the organization because he played for
- 1:33:31Speaker 7: other teams, and that's what I'm saying. He only wanted, sir,
- 1:33:37Speaker 7: I'm sorry, manage your emotions right now. I'm surprised that
- 1:33:40Speaker 7: you so emotional acting, surprised that Cam has.
- 1:33:44Speaker 3: Shown you who he be in the entire time.
- 1:33:46Speaker 7: Have you ever thought that anything mattered to Cam other
- 1:33:50Speaker 7: than his accounlishment.
- 1:33:52Speaker 3: He knows better, he knows better. You just hopeful, You're
- 1:33:56Speaker 3: just really hopeful. And anybody seems hurt.
- 1:33:59Speaker 7: It seems to be the people from North Carolina that
- 1:34:03Speaker 7: trusted him to be somebody different than who he was.
- 1:34:06Speaker 7: I don't I'm trying to have the why does he
- 1:34:11Speaker 7: Why do people believe that beyond your actions there's something else? Period,
- 1:34:19Speaker 7: he showed you there's really only your actions. That's really
- 1:34:26Speaker 7: all that at the end of the.
- 1:34:28Speaker 3: Day, That's all I got. You be trying to make
- 1:34:31Speaker 3: it somethay.
- 1:34:32Speaker 10: Yeah, well maybe Kenny did what he did cause you
- 1:34:36Speaker 10: know how sometime when people ain't no, no, I made
- 1:34:38Speaker 10: a will for deliberate choice. But remember when Cam, and
- 1:34:44Speaker 10: this is not because the individual exists in a lot
- 1:34:49Speaker 10: of arenas, it don't matter you put four or five
- 1:34:52Speaker 10: people together, there's one person that half of the musical
- 1:34:55Speaker 10: group break out bus up because just one person.
- 1:35:00Speaker 3: To be in the front.
- 1:35:01Speaker 7: And everybody in our group was blood related. Everybody's making money,
- 1:35:04Speaker 7: but they still want to be in the front. Remember
- 1:35:08Speaker 7: when I think it was Ron Rivera. Cam didn't want
- 1:35:12Speaker 7: to wear a suit. He any wear tie or tied
- 1:35:16Speaker 7: on the flight. And I'm just recalling some different things
- 1:35:22Speaker 7: that Cam Newton, the way he dresses. Now, everything about
- 1:35:27Speaker 7: him is he has a personality of what they call
- 1:35:33Speaker 7: he's an a personality. Yes, and there's a lot of
- 1:35:37Speaker 7: those guys. You hope to kind of slip them in,
- 1:35:41Speaker 7: especially on teams, to where it doesn't show its head.
- 1:35:45Speaker 7: But there's some guys that do not want to win
- 1:35:48Speaker 7: unless they are the reason you can win a tight game.
- 1:35:54Speaker 7: But if all they had was two catches, they are upset.
- 1:35:57Speaker 7: You'll get to the locker room as an interviewer like,
- 1:36:00Speaker 7: you know, hey, how you think about it? And they
- 1:36:02Speaker 7: seem like they upset, But we don't know which direction.
- 1:36:05Speaker 7: I don't know what direction the organization seemed to be going.
- 1:36:09Speaker 7: I thought I was an integral part of this team,
- 1:36:11Speaker 7: and it just seemed like every time I turn around,
- 1:36:13Speaker 7: they make a decisions that don't benefit out. He's twelve
- 1:36:16Speaker 7: and one, though, sir see. And that's the mentality right
- 1:36:19Speaker 7: there that I'm talking about. Everybody wants to be dismissive
- 1:36:22Speaker 7: of how great I am when I'm on the field.
- 1:36:25Speaker 3: We saw that earlier this season with a J.
- 1:36:27Speaker 9: Brown, Like the Eagles had won a game, but he
- 1:36:30Speaker 9: may only had two catches, and like, is there anything
- 1:36:33Speaker 9: that your team thinks? You think the team needs to work?
- 1:36:35Speaker 9: We need to work on our passing. So he's like
- 1:36:38Speaker 9: taking a shot at his quarterback after a game they won.
- 1:36:42Speaker 9: I had had a question real quick. So if Cam
- 1:36:45Speaker 9: went on that alumni trip or whatever, or he's more
- 1:36:49Speaker 9: integrated in the in the team, and you ask him
- 1:36:54Speaker 9: the same question and he's still and he gives you
- 1:36:56Speaker 9: the same answer.
- 1:36:58Speaker 4: What what?
- 1:36:59Speaker 29: What?
- 1:36:59Speaker 3: What can you say? Then it's the local ahead. Well,
- 1:37:03Speaker 3: let me ask you this too. That's what he is.
- 1:37:05Speaker 10: If you upset that we didn't take you on an
- 1:37:08Speaker 10: alumni trip, but when you were actually student body, when
- 1:37:12Speaker 10: you were actually whatever, it is, part of the group,
- 1:37:15Speaker 10: you didn't want to participate. We all wearing ties. You
- 1:37:19Speaker 10: don't want to wear a tie. We all show up
- 1:37:21Speaker 10: at seven. You don't get that to seven fifteen? Why
- 1:37:23Speaker 10: you want to go?
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: Now?
- 1:37:25Speaker 3: Why would we be considering taking you now? Don't nobody
- 1:37:28Speaker 3: want to do.
- 1:37:29Speaker 7: That because most likely the bed that you're laying in
- 1:37:32Speaker 7: with the Carolina Panthers is when you had already created. Yeah,
- 1:37:36Speaker 7: so they didn't invite you because you said, don't invite
- 1:37:39Speaker 7: me to nothing. Those are your bad has never been
- 1:37:42Speaker 7: your personality.
- 1:37:44Speaker 3: And you see that with a lot of people. You
- 1:37:46Speaker 3: see that with our man Ai Ai wanted to be
- 1:37:50Speaker 3: all of what he was. Yeah, I could give you
- 1:37:52Speaker 3: an example.
- 1:37:53Speaker 7: And then he bellied back around and wanted to have
- 1:37:57Speaker 7: this thing with the sixers.
- 1:37:59Speaker 3: Where you know, hey, y'all beloved, David, I want to
- 1:38:02Speaker 3: be beloved.
- 1:38:03Speaker 7: A good friend of mine couldn't even get to you
- 1:38:05Speaker 7: on time, and and and then when we asked you
- 1:38:08Speaker 7: about you said practice right, and a little inside information
- 1:38:12Speaker 7: on that good friend of mine was like he was
- 1:38:14Speaker 7: even like doub Hey, I put a suit on for this.
- 1:38:17Speaker 7: He didn't even know. You didn't even pull He didn't
- 1:38:19Speaker 7: even put a suit on for nothing. About how when
- 1:38:21Speaker 7: you were here for ten years made me think you
- 1:38:24Speaker 7: would want to come back for the twelfth year. You

- 1:40:46Speaker 3: And now back to the sports job Dwayne Gandy.
- 1:41:10Speaker 13: Log on, say you can see a sports chaint, I'll
- 1:41:13Speaker 13: sing even cany what about this war shock show.
- 1:41:18Speaker 7: I'm in this war shock wing GANDEEA this weekend past weekend,
- 1:41:23Speaker 7: two greats got their jerseys retired back at their college.
- 1:41:26Speaker 3: Caitlyn Clark in Iowa in a upset.
- 1:41:31Speaker 7: Iowa went out and beat USC in this game as well,
- 1:41:35Speaker 7: unranked Iowa taking down the USC who was ranked number
- 1:41:41Speaker 7: five at the time. UH and Caitland Clark Jersey was
- 1:41:44Speaker 7: retired UH and in South Carolina taking on Auburn, My
- 1:41:49Speaker 7: Auburn Tigers and put that real to my full piece
- 1:41:52Speaker 7: spicy three biscuits, three bisk kind of whooping on them
- 1:41:57Speaker 7: three biscuits. You got to have packs of honey for
- 1:41:59Speaker 7: three biscuits. Now they put that helm on as bad.
- 1:42:02Speaker 7: But they retired Asia Wilson number, and they were using
- 1:42:07Speaker 7: the two to two thing. I think is how they
- 1:42:11Speaker 7: did it yesterday too, but yesterday being two two, I
- 1:42:15Speaker 7: think both of them, well, we know Caitlin Clark was
- 1:42:17Speaker 7: twenty two. Asia Wilson was twenty two when she was
- 1:42:21Speaker 7: at South Carolina. So two greats going up.
- 1:42:24Speaker 3: And I know Kelsey Plumb who got traded Washington retired
- 1:42:28Speaker 3: her number last week.
- 1:42:30Speaker 7: I want to say so a lot of trades in
- 1:42:32Speaker 7: the WNBA as well, a lot of free agents moving
- 1:42:36Speaker 7: around as well. Other NBA News Terry Rozier point guard,
- 1:42:43Speaker 7: been bounced around, been in the league. It has to
- 1:42:46Speaker 7: be about maybe eight years with Carolina.
- 1:42:49Speaker 3: He was with I think Boston for a year, Miami Heat.
- 1:42:52Speaker 3: He was drafted by Boston.
- 1:42:54Speaker 7: Okay, Yeah, he's moved around. He has been caught up
- 1:42:57Speaker 7: in an FBI that probe. It's kind of falling on him,
- 1:43:02Speaker 7: the same probe that Dante Porter. I think it's the same.
- 1:43:09Speaker 3: Beading. It's the it's it looks.
- 1:43:12Speaker 9: It looks very similar to where he there was some
- 1:43:17Speaker 9: money put on his scoring for a particular game and
- 1:43:24Speaker 9: he goes out of the game with an injury, and
- 1:43:26Speaker 9: a lot of people made money off of it.
- 1:43:28Speaker 3: So it looks.
- 1:43:29Speaker 7: Suspicious and in his case different than the Porter, where
- 1:43:33Speaker 7: Porter was more of a reserve and kind of trying
- 1:43:35Speaker 7: to keep his head in the league. Rose years contract
- 1:43:40Speaker 7: that the rest of his money might be voided, which
- 1:43:43Speaker 7: could be about forty five fifty million dollars if he's caught,
- 1:43:48Speaker 7: whereas the Porter kid he got the one for the Nuggets,
- 1:43:53Speaker 7: has a big contract. His two brothers have a smaller
- 1:43:57Speaker 7: you know, six day, ten day back and forth to
- 1:44:01Speaker 7: up and all that. But in Rosier's case, he has
- 1:44:04Speaker 7: a legit, legity and contract contract and that could be
- 1:44:08Speaker 7: voided if they find him in this and will.
- 1:44:11Speaker 3: He be and jail and man from bass? Now, this
- 1:44:15Speaker 3: this is my thing.
- 1:44:16Speaker 7: How many more of these we got to have? Or
- 1:44:18Speaker 7: we just take the gambling logos off the jersey and.
- 1:44:24Speaker 3: The line.
- 1:44:24Speaker 7: I'm saying, you said gamble responsibly and then I fired
- 1:44:31Speaker 7: one up and crack the cover while I said let
- 1:44:34Speaker 7: it ride. You see what I'm saying, none of gamble.
- 1:44:39Speaker 7: I didn't hear none of that over the all right,
- 1:44:42Speaker 7: all that to everybody, move back. I didn't hear none
- 1:44:45Speaker 7: of that. I got a gambling problem. And now not
- 1:44:50Speaker 7: only do I have a gambling problem, you let me
- 1:44:54Speaker 7: go to my job and be able to affect the
- 1:44:56Speaker 7: outcome of my disease. Oh yeah, I'm doing this. I'm
- 1:45:01Speaker 7: doing this.
- 1:45:01Speaker 3: How many more of these do we have to have
- 1:45:04Speaker 3: before they just make a pause on things?
- 1:45:06Speaker 7: Well, YEA, hope they catch enough early and bring that
- 1:45:09Speaker 7: hammer down to scare away those would be UH players
- 1:45:16Speaker 7: that can't fight it. This hopefully will help them fight
- 1:45:19Speaker 7: the maker. Okay, now, now, because if he finds himself
- 1:45:24Speaker 7: the FBI suspended for I mean ever and looking at
- 1:45:29Speaker 7: some years in jail and they say, man, you heard
- 1:45:32Speaker 7: Terry lost.
- 1:45:33Speaker 3: That fifty million.
- 1:45:34Speaker 7: Are you still about to well, by the time they
- 1:45:37Speaker 7: caught Poplin, No, not listen to what I'm saying. Now,
- 1:45:40Speaker 7: by the time they caught Poplo, the damage was done.
- 1:45:45Speaker 7: Y'all was just trying to put a band aid on
- 1:45:47Speaker 7: a gaping wound. At this point, you're telling me we
- 1:45:51Speaker 7: got that one. Gambling has always been here, yeah, but
- 1:45:56Speaker 7: we didn't. Us being in bed up with it is
- 1:45:58Speaker 7: something new new.
- 1:46:01Speaker 3: Rolling over and to us.
- 1:46:04Speaker 7: No, I'm saying, gambling was on the same floor. And
- 1:46:07Speaker 7: as I keep saying, you can gamble, you just can't
- 1:46:10Speaker 7: gamble on your sport. So he could place all the
- 1:46:14Speaker 7: money he wants on the Eagles.
- 1:46:18Speaker 3: Jee this weekend.
- 1:46:19Speaker 10: Yes he can, Yes he can. And then somebody go,
- 1:46:22Speaker 10: but what about now listen, hit me out, now, hit
- 1:46:27Speaker 10: me out.
- 1:46:28Speaker 3: I don't need you to throw the game. I'm just saying,
- 1:46:31Speaker 3: pretend like you hurt me in the league. I'm just
- 1:46:34Speaker 3: saying when I saw Federal, I figure they got it.
- 1:46:38Speaker 10: I'm not even sure if I can discuss this stuff
- 1:46:41Speaker 10: to make me nervous, this dude, And now to prove
- 1:46:46Speaker 10: that point that y'all need to stop. Will they hit them?
- 1:46:50Speaker 10: Are they gonna start?
- 1:46:51Speaker 7: Somebody's gonna mess around and be the example and get
- 1:46:54Speaker 7: the maximum penalty. Well, I think the example was already
- 1:46:57Speaker 7: made with the Porter kid. No I'm saying, I'm talking
- 1:46:59Speaker 7: about with prison time. Oh yeah, we're gonna send you
- 1:47:01Speaker 7: to prison too.
- 1:47:03Speaker 3: Still go to prison?
- 1:47:04Speaker 7: Yeah, he still because he's probably the one who might
- 1:47:08Speaker 7: have gave up Rosea. But now is coming all about.
- 1:47:12Speaker 7: It's kind of like the regular crime. It's like the NBA.
- 1:47:18Speaker 7: Remember I was saying, the NBA and the NFL with
- 1:47:21Speaker 7: the insurance fraud, and I'm quite sure after they got
- 1:47:24Speaker 7: to first one, make the deal, the first one they
- 1:47:27Speaker 7: went to yelling out some names.
- 1:47:28Speaker 3: Come on that first one.
- 1:47:29Speaker 7: Make the deal now, because everybody didn't go to prison.
- 1:47:32Speaker 7: So that to me, the ones that didn't go to
- 1:47:34Speaker 7: prison are on the snitch list.
- 1:47:37Speaker 3: They see eyes. Yeah.
- 1:47:40Speaker 7: And Cooper Flag had a big game against North Carolina.
- 1:47:43Speaker 7: Duke beat North Carolina eighty seven to seventy the other day.
- 1:47:46Speaker 7: Cooper Flagg had about twenty two points, ten rebounds something
- 1:47:49Speaker 7: like that. And I brought this up not because of
- 1:47:52Speaker 7: your team lost, but more of just how that rivalry
- 1:47:58Speaker 7: used to stop the weekend and I missed that. I mean,
- 1:48:03Speaker 7: I'm just saying that you used to know when North
- 1:48:05Speaker 7: Carolina was playing Duke. I just stumbled upon the game,
- 1:48:10Speaker 7: you know what I mean?
- 1:48:11Speaker 3: It was like that. It used to be like, oh, man,
- 1:48:13Speaker 3: I gotta be Sunday at two o'clock. Man, I know, Imber.
- 1:48:18Speaker 3: I just happened to come upon it.
- 1:48:19Speaker 7: I remember years decades ago going to d C and
- 1:48:24Speaker 7: going through Chapel Hill and having to visit North Carolina.
- 1:48:29Speaker 3: And Duke just to see where it happened.
- 1:48:32Speaker 7: In off season, schools is closed down, but we just
- 1:48:37Speaker 7: had to look at the court.
- 1:48:39Speaker 3: We just had to this is where all of the
- 1:48:42Speaker 3: greats have come.
- 1:48:43Speaker 7: And now it's still on my bucket list of something
- 1:48:47Speaker 7: to attend. I hope it's still on my three or
- 1:48:50Speaker 7: four sporting event bucket list to attend. And it's a
- 1:48:54Speaker 7: premium ticket Carolina game up there.
- 1:48:57Speaker 3: We're going to Formula one in Montcolo.
- 1:49:02Speaker 7: Like, I got three or four things I would liked
- 1:49:03Speaker 7: to damn and that rivory And that's why I'm speaking
- 1:49:06Speaker 7: one of it from a personal level of I just
- 1:49:09Speaker 7: stumbled upon the game, how y'all going and it used
- 1:49:11Speaker 7: to be a game. You actually almost like a super Bowl.
- 1:49:14Speaker 7: It's on my bucket list. How you just go stumble
- 1:49:16Speaker 7: upon my bucket list. We'll be back from more to
- 1:49:18Speaker 7: Sports Shock Show.
- 1:49:20Speaker 3: Right after this.

- 1:52:00Speaker 7: I'm the wort shot Wing Gandy, undisputed that wait Champ
- 1:52:04Speaker 7: Now Clarissa Shields last night beat Danielle Perkins. I know,
- 1:52:09Speaker 7: women's boxing is not something that we pay a lot
- 1:52:11Speaker 7: of attention to, but you got to give a person
- 1:52:13Speaker 7: their roses. It's Shields, who there's a movie out about
- 1:52:17Speaker 7: as well. It is thirteen sixteen and oh three Knockouts
- 1:52:22Speaker 7: and she has unified the belts. Is Clarissa Shields sat
- 1:52:28Speaker 7: story for Fort Valley State's former head basketball coach Samuel L. Jackson,
- 1:52:35Speaker 7: which is funny because of the great Sam Jackson. He
- 1:52:40Speaker 7: was found shot here in northwest Atlanta. He had been litsting.
- 1:52:45Speaker 7: His wife, say, left to work for Uber Eats, and
- 1:52:52Speaker 7: they are trying to put the case together. He's found
- 1:52:55Speaker 7: in his car. Initial reports looked like maybe it was
- 1:52:59Speaker 7: robbery on wrong, but he was fifty nine years old,
- 1:53:04Speaker 7: used to be the head coach at Fort Valley State
- 1:53:07Speaker 7: here most recently. So we will see how that plays out.
- 1:53:13Speaker 7: And he said, wowd yes, it's hard. Strange turn of
- 1:53:18Speaker 7: events because when you hear stories about the Uber Eats,
- 1:53:21Speaker 7: those are the ones that you always are leary of. Yeah,
- 1:53:26Speaker 7: going into places, setting yourself up because the setup is
- 1:53:29Speaker 7: that's the easiest one when you think about it. Typically
- 1:53:33Speaker 7: you got to be enticed, but you actually can call
- 1:53:37Speaker 7: and rob the person, how many stories we've had. When
- 1:53:40Speaker 7: you're robbing them, you know where they going and when
- 1:53:43Speaker 7: they'll be there. They're actually texting you to tell you.
- 1:53:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:53:47Speaker 10: Unfortunate classmate of mine didn't graduate with us because they
- 1:53:54Speaker 10: set up a pizza guy and it went horribly wrong
- 1:53:57Speaker 10: and someone lost their life and they spent decades in
- 1:54:01Speaker 10: prison as a result.
- 1:54:03Speaker 3: A lot of the guys are talking about NBA snubs.
- 1:54:07Speaker 7: Devin Booker of the Suns has gone even far as
- 1:54:11Speaker 7: somebody expanding the All Star roster, and I would say,
- 1:54:15Speaker 7: why has always been we're gonna pick twelve from the
- 1:54:18Speaker 7: East and twelve from the West, And every year there's
- 1:54:21Speaker 7: someone who feels like they got left off the list.
- 1:54:26Speaker 7: It seemed this year the players, whoever was voting. I
- 1:54:30Speaker 7: don't know how much the fan vote counts, guys, but
- 1:54:33Speaker 7: it seems that a lot of people was putting in
- 1:54:37Speaker 7: calculating in record. Not just like a Lamello ball right,
- 1:54:42Speaker 7: who's having an outstanding season for the Charlotte Hornets, But
- 1:54:48Speaker 7: the Hornets are like eleven and thirty or something like that,
- 1:54:53Speaker 7: twelve and it seems like a lot of people they
- 1:54:56Speaker 7: sent two or three or three or four. Cleveland Cavaliers
- 1:55:01Speaker 7: players three, who are the number one team in these
- 1:55:05Speaker 7: and same thing with OKC, like three of them they
- 1:55:08Speaker 7: got two two. Okay, but credit seems to be going
- 1:55:12Speaker 7: a little more to not just the numbers, but bad
- 1:55:15Speaker 7: producer the wins too. Yeah, but I know you were
- 1:55:20Speaker 7: talking about.
- 1:55:21Speaker 11: Yeah, they had left off left off Atlanta's Tree Young
- 1:55:24Speaker 11: it's just like the fourth season since he made his
- 1:55:30Speaker 11: initial uh.
- 1:55:33Speaker 3: To the All Star Game.
- 1:55:34Speaker 11: And they left off Devin Booker, who was a four
- 1:55:37Speaker 11: time former All Star this last year. And then you
- 1:55:41Speaker 11: leave off Kyrie, which the Maps having a good season.
- 1:55:44Speaker 11: He's still having a good season. And then Philadelphia seventy
- 1:55:47Speaker 11: six was Tyrie MAXI with everything's going on up there,
- 1:55:52Speaker 11: and and and like you said, Cleveland they do have
- 1:55:55Speaker 11: a good team. They have a great team right now.
- 1:55:57Speaker 11: And the showcasing that. I mean, if the Halts possibly
- 1:56:01Speaker 11: beat them the other night, trade you probably you know
- 1:56:05Speaker 11: you got an argument, but I mean, I just like
- 1:56:07Speaker 11: you say, you guys, some of you guys would go
- 1:56:10Speaker 11: do something else in the in the skills things. So
- 1:56:12Speaker 11: we're gonna have to go get the young man from
- 1:56:16Speaker 11: the G League. If you don't make the All Star team,
- 1:56:18Speaker 11: you still could be a part of All Star. If
- 1:56:20Speaker 11: you feel that you are All Star? Do you think
- 1:56:21Speaker 11: they should expand.
- 1:56:24Speaker 3: The lineups? No, keep it twelve. I think they should
- 1:56:29Speaker 3: keep it twelve.
- 1:56:29Speaker 10: And I wonder like sometimes when we talk about people
- 1:56:34Speaker 10: making the All Star like, who didn't you?
- 1:56:36Speaker 3: You mentioned Kyrie? Like he ain't really gonna play.
- 1:56:41Speaker 10: You know what I'm saying, Why would I want somebody
- 1:56:44Speaker 10: I'm trying to generate interest in his the All Star
- 1:56:49Speaker 10: game right now?
- 1:56:50Speaker 3: It's a bell and whistle.
- 1:56:53Speaker 10: There is nothing about it that would make me want
- 1:56:56Speaker 10: to stop anything else I'm doing in my day and
- 1:57:00Speaker 10: carve out that piece of time to watch some dude
- 1:57:03Speaker 10: jump a car to dunk a basketball. I'm not interested
- 1:57:07Speaker 10: in the East versus the West. And when the third
- 1:57:10Speaker 10: quarter starts, you hit a three pointer, it's worth ten points.
- 1:57:13Speaker 7: What he's alluding to is these guys want the name recognition,
- 1:57:21Speaker 7: but they're not going to go to the game and play.
- 1:57:25Speaker 7: Not like the recognition, right, so you start talking about
- 1:57:29Speaker 7: just go play like he's saying. For how they're complaining you,
- 1:57:33Speaker 7: you would think the game would be more competitive, but
- 1:57:37Speaker 7: they just want to be denoted as All Star, Right,
- 1:57:41Speaker 7: I just want my name on the list, right, all
- 1:57:45Speaker 7: of that because my sneaker deal contract can be higher now,
- 1:57:49Speaker 7: but you're not going. But the gamer, the game itself
- 1:57:52Speaker 7: is not evidence that that y'all really care about being
- 1:57:56Speaker 7: the star, right, you care about the accolade. You understand
- 1:58:00Speaker 7: what he's I understand what you saying. Right, So it
- 1:58:04Speaker 7: seems they just they put it. I know they got
- 1:58:06Speaker 7: a couple of new players in there, Kate Cunningham from.
- 1:58:09Speaker 3: The Pistons, Jalen Williams, Jayalen Williams. So they seem invieused.
- 1:58:16Speaker 7: Well, I'm saying the credit to it is they seem
- 1:58:20Speaker 7: to be giving getting away from the grandfather. Grandfather then yes,
- 1:58:26Speaker 7: and kind of idea that once I'm won, I'm just
- 1:58:29Speaker 7: always it and at least looking at some other people
- 1:58:32Speaker 7: that say, yes, Trey Young or yes LaMelo, you're doing better,
- 1:58:36Speaker 7: but there is Garland. Yeah is you know this year
- 1:58:42Speaker 7: it's not a statement that you're somebody's better than you.
- 1:58:45Speaker 7: It's just saying, for these forty five fifty games, this
- 1:58:48Speaker 7: person has been some guys.
- 1:58:50Speaker 9: Some guys just don't have a case. I don't think
- 1:58:52Speaker 9: LaMelo Ball had a case. Yeah, you're averaging twenty nine
- 1:58:54Speaker 9: a game, but your team has won twelve games, well,
- 1:58:57Speaker 9: I mean, the second worst record in the Look at
- 1:59:00Speaker 9: the look at the Pistons are better.
- 1:59:03Speaker 3: The Pistons, they're better. They're five hundred at least. And
- 1:59:11Speaker 3: we are in the ocean.
- 1:59:16Speaker 2: The truth is he will throw your to the ocean.
- 1:59:20Speaker 2: It's time to wrap things up on the Sports Jut
- 1:59:23Speaker 2: Show with.
- 1:59:24Speaker 3: Wayne Gandy.
- 1:59:49Speaker 7: When you're the Sounds of the Ocean gives the sports
- 1:59:51Speaker 7: Shock just a minute to vent. And we find ourselves
- 2:00:00Speaker 7: just a couple of years from massages in Texas and
- 2:00:10Speaker 7: how we found ourselves getting massages in Baltimore. And I
- 2:00:15Speaker 7: kind of want to throw myself in the ocean because
- 2:00:18Speaker 7: I didn't know all this massage was going on. I
- 2:00:23Speaker 7: barely got there like one a year. It seems that
- 2:00:26Speaker 7: it must have been a private secret club going on.
- 2:00:30Speaker 3: Of massage.
- 2:00:33Speaker 7: Debauchery that I just didn't get on my dark Well,
- 2:00:39Speaker 7: but Baltimore kicker Justin Tucker seems to be a distant
- 2:00:46Speaker 7: cousin of Cleveland Brouse quarterback de Shaun Wattson Allegedly.
- 2:00:58Speaker 3: After twenty is an alleged boys just not proven.
- 2:01:02Speaker 7: It's legend to the truth, but reports are out that
- 2:01:07Speaker 7: Justin Tucker has the shame impulse issue that our man
- 2:01:13Speaker 7: Deshaun Watson had a couple of years ago when he
- 2:01:15Speaker 7: was playing for the Texans. They like to go and
- 2:01:18Speaker 7: get a little frisky during their massage table time, regardless
- 2:01:26Speaker 7: of who the massage therapiet is. And now he finds
- 2:01:31Speaker 7: him saying himself under that same dusty shadow of being
- 2:01:37Speaker 7: a perv. We're gonna pray for you, justin, but today
- 2:01:43Speaker 7: we're gonna have to throw you off.
- 2:01:45Speaker 3: How many times walk the plank? Last count he was
- 2:01:58Speaker 3: up to nine therapy, so we got no way to
- 2:02:01Speaker 3: go to Cat Jersey number that his number nine. Oh
- 2:02:08Speaker 3: so he he didn't reached his height. We didn't all
- 2:02:10Speaker 3: got a little fresh can massage? Am I right? Am I?
- 2:02:15Speaker 3: Am I? Am I right?
- 2:02:17Speaker 33: No me.
- 2:02:21Speaker 7: Kenny the funny man himself, Cam Newton's own over here,
- 2:02:25Speaker 7: the bad producers even sad. Ever since we talked about Cam,
- 2:02:29Speaker 7: he had changed, Yeah, and if he changed after that,
- 2:02:32Speaker 7: that was he let him down. It's all right, man,
- 2:02:35Speaker 7: go ahead on and cry fifty six. It's okay to
- 2:02:38Speaker 7: cry and command. We'll talk to y'all later in the week.
- 2:02:44Speaker 7: From the Sports Shop, show Peace
