- 0:10Speaker 1: God bless football, Mikey.
- 0:15Speaker 2: God bless football, Taylor.
- 0:17Speaker 3: God bless football, Stu Gatz.
- 0:19Speaker 4: Thank you, Taylor. Appreciate it.
- 0:20Speaker 1: We head into week one of the NFL season. We
- 0:23Speaker 1: had a game last night. We did not get Taylor's
- 0:25Speaker 1: thoughts on last night's game. We did have a discussion
- 0:27Speaker 1: last night. on what's the right way to travel to
- 0:29Speaker 1: Australia on the radio show yesterday, and it appears that
- 0:33Speaker 1: San Francisco did it correctly, Taylor.
- 0:35Speaker 3: And this is what we were saying yesterday, where, okay,
- 0:38Speaker 3: you send Todd from your accounting department to see how
- 0:42Speaker 3: his body adjusts to doing a 16-hour flight. That's not
- 0:45Speaker 3: the same thing as sending... Matthew Stafford and seeing how
- 0:49Speaker 3: he holds up playing against a pretty good 49ers defense.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 0:54Speaker 5: Do we have Todd's measurements before we start disparaging good
- 0:58Speaker 5: old Todd?
- 0:59Speaker 1: Why is it Todd? Why is it Todd in accounting though?
- 1:02Speaker 3: It's such a good accounting game, Todd.
- 1:05Speaker 4: Put it on the poll. Is Todd a good accounting game?
- 1:07Speaker 3: So I do feel a little bad for the 49ers
- 1:10Speaker 3: today because the only thing people are doing today is
- 1:12Speaker 3: giving the Rams excuses, their travel schedule, which by the way,
- 1:16Speaker 3: The Rams' fault for how they traveled in the game.
- 1:19Speaker 4: Well, it's Todd's fault. Yes.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Aaron Donald didn't make the trip. If I'm the 49ers,
- 1:23Speaker 3: I'm annoyed with this excuse machine coming out of the
- 1:26Speaker 3: NFL media today because what they did was shove a
- 1:30Speaker 3: Super Bowl favorite into a locker, and you look at
- 1:33Speaker 3: their roster. Mike Evans, Christian McCaffrey, George Kittle, Brock Purdy,
- 1:37Speaker 3: Trent Williams, Nick Bosa, Fred Warner. When healthy... This roster
- 1:41Speaker 3: and that coach and Kyle Shanahan can compete with anybody,
- 1:45Speaker 3: and I thought that was a statement game from San
- 1:46Speaker 3: Francisco week one.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Wow, the rare statement game in week one. Mikey, how
- 1:50Speaker 1: do you feel about that? If I'm San Francisco, I'm happy.
- 1:53Speaker 4: I'm 1-0. I beat the Rams.
- 1:55Speaker 1: I don't care where we did it, how we did it,
- 1:57Speaker 1: what their excuses are. We're 1-0, and Brock Purdy looked really,
- 2:00Speaker 1: really good.
- 2:02Speaker 5: Brock Purdy did look good, and the Rams didn't, and
- 2:05Speaker 5: you're right that there is an excuse machine there. And
- 2:07Speaker 5: if you're the 49ers, you won game one. You won
- 2:10Speaker 5: a divisional game against the one that everybody's saying, oh,
- 2:13Speaker 5: this is the team that's going to win the Super Bowl.
- 2:14Speaker 5: And now you get to come home. You get to
- 2:16Speaker 5: fly back to your home field.
- 2:18Speaker 2: And what do you get? You get the Miami Dolphins. Yes. 2-0.
- 2:21Speaker 4: Let's go. Yes, with 10 days rest, right?
- 2:24Speaker 3: Whether it's right or not with the Rams having excuses
- 2:28Speaker 3: of traveling, We have to step up as NFL fans
- 2:32Speaker 3: and put our feet down and say enough with the
- 2:35Speaker 3: NFL international games. Why is it our responsibility as fans
- 2:40Speaker 3: to help the NFL grow overseas when it comes at
- 2:43Speaker 3: the expense of the product that we already have in
- 2:46Speaker 3: the NFL? Like the NFL on Sundays is great. Why
- 2:50Speaker 3: does the onus fall on us to try to grow
- 2:52Speaker 3: the game in Australia by sending a divisional NFL matchup
- 2:58Speaker 3: week one to Australia?
- 3:00Speaker 1: You had trouble getting that out, huh? You're talking too fast.
- 3:02Speaker 1: It's football. It's first week. You're excited.
- 3:05Speaker 3: I meant to say divisional games that could wind up
- 3:09Speaker 3: determining who wins the division, who makes the playoffs. Who
- 3:12Speaker 3: gets a home field playoff advantage?
- 3:13Speaker 1: The Rams should have taken it more seriously. They're not
- 3:16Speaker 1: asking us to take it seriously. They're asking the teams
- 3:18Speaker 1: to take it seriously, and the Rams clearly did not.
- 3:20Speaker 1: We don't have to do anything. The onus is not
- 3:23Speaker 1: on us. We don't have to do a single thing.
- 3:25Speaker 1: You cannot watch the game if you want to make
- 3:27Speaker 1: a statement. I mean, but they're not asking us to
- 3:30Speaker 1: do anything. They're trying to grow the game. And how
- 3:32Speaker 1: do you grow the game?
- 3:33Speaker 4: Put two of your best teams in Australia.
- 3:35Speaker 2: I mean.
- 3:36Speaker 3: But if the product on the field is worse as
- 3:38Speaker 3: a result of it, You want to send preseason games
- 3:42Speaker 3: to London, Germany, Australia?
- 3:44Speaker 4: Go ahead.
- 3:44Speaker 3: Nobody from here is watching those preseason games anyway. Make
- 3:49Speaker 3: an entire international preseason tour for all I care. The
- 3:52Speaker 3: Premier League, let's use this as an example. The Premier
- 3:54Speaker 3: League wants to.
- 3:55Speaker 2: The Prem, yeah.
- 3:56Speaker 3: The Prem wants to grow in America too.
- 3:57Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:58Speaker 3: You know how they don't do it? They don't send
- 4:00Speaker 3: Manchester City and Manchester United to New York to play
- 4:03Speaker 3: a league match that could help decide the Premier League
- 4:06Speaker 3: title because that would be ridiculous. And if you pitch
- 4:09Speaker 3: that concept to people in England, they would riot. And
- 4:12Speaker 3: just because it's the NFL, we've been so conditioned to say,
- 4:16Speaker 3: we're just going to eat whatever slop the NFL puts
- 4:18Speaker 3: in front of us mindset.
- 4:20Speaker 5: Mm-hmm. Yeah, but the Premier League isn't growing in America
- 4:24Speaker 5: the way they want it to because they're not sending
- 4:26Speaker 5: us that stuff.
- 4:27Speaker 3: That's not true.
- 4:27Speaker 4: No, no, no.
- 4:28Speaker 1: If they sent us that stuff, their good stuff, we
- 4:31Speaker 1: still wouldn't care. And they know it. So why not
- 4:33Speaker 1: just send us their slop? We sent Australia our best.
- 4:38Speaker 4: I understand that.
- 4:38Speaker 1: We sent them the best we have. I mean, people
- 4:42Speaker 1: were saying Rams of the field. People were talking about
- 4:45Speaker 1: the Rams being an undefeated team.
- 4:47Speaker 4: There are stars littered.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Across each of those rosters, we sent them two of
- 4:51Speaker 1: our best. Soccer is not sending our best. We don't
- 4:54Speaker 1: care enough about soccer. Australia, they cared about football. They
- 4:58Speaker 1: cared about that game. The fans were into it. That's
- 5:01Speaker 1: how you grow the game. Taylor, I don't disagree with
- 5:04Speaker 1: what it is you're saying. I'm just saying that's how
- 5:06Speaker 1: you grow the game. We can reject it all we want.
- 5:09Speaker 1: The only thing we can do, though, is not watch
- 5:11Speaker 1: the game. We can't prevent the NFL from doing it.
- 5:14Speaker 1: They're going to do it.
- 5:16Speaker 3: And that's exactly why the NFL could get away with
- 5:18Speaker 3: it because the NFL is like, we could put this
- 5:20Speaker 3: game on the moon in week two. And all NFL fans,
- 5:24Speaker 3: if we put it on Netflix, if we put it
- 5:25Speaker 3: on Paramount Plus, if we hide it in the NFL
- 5:29Speaker 3: Sunday ticket package, NFL fans will buy this because they've
- 5:33Speaker 3: been conditioned to think if there's an NFL game on,
- 5:36Speaker 3: we need to watch this.
- 5:37Speaker 4: Yes.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Yes, of course, because the NFL is that popular.
- 5:41Speaker 4: Mikey, do you agree with him? Do you agree with
- 5:43Speaker 4: what he's saying? Like, he is really upset about us
- 5:46Speaker 4: playing games overseas. They're terrible.
- 5:48Speaker 3: They're so bad every time.
- 5:49Speaker 4: I understand that. I do. I mean.
- 5:52Speaker 2: I'm upset when I watch the game. When I'm watching
- 5:54Speaker 2: the game and I.
- 5:55Speaker 5: See the level of play and you start going, well,
- 5:58Speaker 5: it's a different sort of field and it's a different.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Schedule for the guys and all that. I'm like, yeah,
- 6:04Speaker 2: I get it.
- 6:04Speaker 5: But at the same time, when you told me, hey,
- 6:06Speaker 5: I'm getting a game Wednesday and Thursday. or, hey, I'm
- 6:09Speaker 5: going to be getting a game at 9.30 in the
- 6:11Speaker 5: morning on Sunday, and it goes all the way through
- 6:14Speaker 5: to 11 o'clock at night, then I'm happy. I'm the problem.
- 6:18Speaker 5: I am everything that you are railing against, Taylor. I
- 6:21Speaker 5: am the one that's going to buy whatever subscription I
- 6:23Speaker 5: need to buy to watch whatever game the NFL wants
- 6:27Speaker 5: to dangle in front of me, played wherever they want.
- 6:29Speaker 2: It to be played.
- 6:30Speaker 4: Yep, and they know it.
- 6:31Speaker 3: And with how competitive... You got me. With how competitive
- 6:35Speaker 3: the NFC West is supposed to be this season, there's
- 6:38Speaker 3: a very good chance that at the end of the season,
- 6:40Speaker 3: this game matters when it comes to tiebreaker. And it's like, okay...
- 6:44Speaker 3: maybe the Rams didn't have to put their best foot
- 6:46Speaker 3: forward because they had to travel halfway across the globe to,
- 6:50Speaker 3: to compete in a week one game.
- 6:53Speaker 5: Not only that, the 49ers, the big knock against them
- 6:55Speaker 5: is going to be okay.
- 6:57Speaker 2: You, you acclimated to Australia.
- 6:59Speaker 5: You got the, you got the, you got the wind,
- 7:01Speaker 5: but now you have to come home and now you're
- 7:03Speaker 5: going to have to play games while your body is
- 7:05Speaker 5: trying to get used to back being back in the
- 7:07Speaker 5: United States.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Well, the NFL gave them a gift.
- 7:09Speaker 5: Not only do they get the dolphins at home this week,
- 7:12Speaker 5: the following week, They get the Cardinals at home.
- 7:14Speaker 4: Wow.
- 7:15Speaker 1: You and I agree, though, in set one with the Bear,
- 7:18Speaker 1: that if the Niners played that game asleep, they would
- 7:21Speaker 1: still beat the Dolphins.
- 7:23Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 7:24Speaker 2: They could sleep for the next weeks there, 3-0.
- 7:27Speaker 3: I also think the 49ers would rather.
- 7:29Speaker 1: They got Malik Willis and Jacoby Brissett on the heels
- 7:32Speaker 1: of Australia.
- 7:34Speaker 3: I also think the 49ers would rather play their games
- 7:36Speaker 3: in Australia than next to that substation that kills all
- 7:40Speaker 3: their players.
- 7:42Speaker 4: Put it on the poll. Should Melbourne be the new
- 7:45Speaker 4: home for San Francisco? Mel-bin. Mel-bin, whatever. Mel-bin. Tomato, tomato.
- 7:51Speaker 3: If you spell your city Melbourne, pronounce it Melbourne.
- 7:53Speaker 4: I agree. Yes, put it on the poll.
- 7:55Speaker 1: If you spell your city Melbourne, should it be pronounced Mel-born?
- 8:02Speaker 1: It seems like a logical thing to do. How do
- 8:05Speaker 1: they pronounce it?
- 8:06Speaker 4: Mel-bin. That's weird.
- 8:07Speaker 3: Every time Noah Eagle had the chance yesterday, he was like,
- 8:11Speaker 3: And we're coming to you live from Melbourne.
- 8:13Speaker 4: Really? Yep.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Melbourne.
- 8:14Speaker 4: It's spelled B-O-U-R-N-E, I think, right?
- 8:18Speaker 3: There's a Melbourne.
- 8:18Speaker 4: Like born identity. I mean.
- 8:20Speaker 3: There's a Melbourne, Florida. And that one is pronounced Melbourne. Melbourne.
- 8:25Speaker 2: We call it Melbourne, Florida now.
- 8:27Speaker 4: Right.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Wait.
- 8:29Speaker 4: So this is the rare time where Florida got something right?
- 8:31Speaker 3: Depends how you look at it.
- 8:34Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Taylor has the top five college games of the weekend.
- 8:39Speaker 1: I have top five NFL games. Mikey has top five
- 8:42Speaker 1: NFL games. Before we get to any of that, and
- 8:45Speaker 1: Taylor has something on Kansas, Missouri, one of my picks
- 8:48Speaker 1: coming up here for.
- 8:48Speaker 4: Stu, you gots. I'm worried about it, Mikey.
- 8:51Speaker 1: But before we get to that, Mikey, you missed the
- 8:53Speaker 1: radio show yesterday. We tried to do it with Sal.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Sal couldn't get connected. He'll be joining us today on
- 8:58Speaker 1: the radio show. But Taylor is talking. He's talking in
- 9:02Speaker 1: too many places. He's tired. He's exhausted. And he's also excited.
- 9:07Speaker 1: for week one of the NFL season and week three
- 9:09Speaker 1: or two of the college football season. So this happened yesterday, Mikey,
- 9:15Speaker 1: on the radio.
- 9:16Speaker 3: It's time to get your point. It's time to get your.
- 9:19Speaker 3: It's time to get your financial portfolio game ready with
- 9:25Speaker 3: our friends at Webull. Can I spins on this for
- 9:30Speaker 3: a second?
- 9:30Speaker 4: You can. Yes.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Me messing up the ad.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:34Speaker 3: Is better for Webull in the long term.
- 9:36Speaker 4: No doubt, yes. It's an odd justification. They're going to
- 9:39Speaker 4: get a lot of play. But I'm proud of you.
- 9:42Speaker 4: You're right, though. You are right, yes.
- 9:44Speaker 1: You messing it up gets more play and more talk
- 9:46Speaker 1: and more traction than if you nailed it.
- 9:49Speaker 4: Play it again.
- 9:50Speaker 3: It's time to get your point.
- 9:55Speaker 1: I don't know what they're getting from it, but you're right.
- 9:58Speaker 4: You're right.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Here, it's almost like my car battery is dead. And
- 10:05Speaker 3: somebody comes over to my car and is like, let
- 10:07Speaker 3: me help him jumpstart this.
- 10:09Speaker 4: Yeah, he's got some chargers.
- 10:11Speaker 3: Yeah, you give it like two revs and then it's
- 10:14Speaker 3: very clear the battery's dead and it just kind of
- 10:16Speaker 3: falls out like this. It's time to get your point.
- 10:20Speaker 3: It's time to get your financial. Did I just scream racket?
- 10:25Speaker 4: Yep.
- 10:28Speaker 2: And I appreciate it. Yes.
- 10:29Speaker 4: Well, you're welcome.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Imagine Taylor is in the parking lot. His battery is dead.
- 10:35Speaker 1: And some guy drives by in his car.
- 10:37Speaker 4: Nice guy. Okay. And he says, hey, I got some
- 10:39Speaker 4: chargers in the back here. Plus to plus. Minus to minus.
- 10:43Speaker 4: I know how to do this. We're going to get
- 10:45Speaker 4: your battery work in.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Um, imagine this is Taylor trying to start his car
- 10:51Speaker 1: that simply won't start.
- 10:53Speaker 3: It's time to get your point.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Hold on.
- 11:02Speaker 5: You just said something. I need to go to Taylor
- 11:04Speaker 5: on this. Taylor, is there any chance ever that Stu
- 11:06Speaker 5: gots has jumpstarted a car?
- 11:08Speaker 4: Oh, I'm good at it. I can do it.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Really?
- 11:10Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah.
- 11:10Speaker 2: I've never had to believe it.
- 11:12Speaker 4: Black to black, red to red. I mean, I know
- 11:14Speaker 4: how to do it. Wow. Yeah. Yeah.
- 11:17Speaker 2: You know the two colors?
- 11:20Speaker 4: I know they're supposed to connect to each other.
- 11:22Speaker 3: There's a modern AAA over here.
- 11:26Speaker 4: Put it on the ball.
- 11:27Speaker 1: It's a modern AAA over here. Why do you have
- 11:32Speaker 1: me not being able to do that?
- 11:33Speaker 4: I don't understand.
- 11:36Speaker 5: I just imagine you call somebody to call somebody to
- 11:39Speaker 5: come do it for you. I imagine you calling Taylor
- 11:42Speaker 5: and being like, Taylor, call somebody to come jump my
- 11:45Speaker 5: car for me.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Where are you? I don't know. Right.
- 11:47Speaker 4: Usually it's Abby.
- 11:49Speaker 2: Yeah, well, Abby didn't answer because she knew better.
- 11:53Speaker 4: You would be better off. You're right. She never does.
- 11:56Speaker 1: You'd be better off asking Abby to jump start your
- 11:59Speaker 1: car than you would.
- 12:01Speaker 4: Be asking me. I can tell you that much. Abby
- 12:03Speaker 4: is very handy.
- 12:05Speaker 1: Andy, she does all the work around the house in
- 12:08Speaker 1: large part because she doesn't want to be touching anything.
- 12:10Speaker 4: Right.
- 12:11Speaker 2: All right.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Let's get to before we get to your top five
- 12:13Speaker 1: college games of the week here, Taylor. I have top
- 12:15Speaker 1: five NFL games. Mikey has top five NFL games. What
- 12:18Speaker 1: are your thoughts here on Kansas, Missouri?
- 12:20Speaker 4: What's going on there?
- 12:21Speaker 3: So this game is actually tonight and it's the border
- 12:23Speaker 3: war between Kansas and Missouri. A very rivalry that is
- 12:29Speaker 3: steeped in hatred. And so many schools are doing this
- 12:32Speaker 3: thing now where they're trying to sanitize rivalries and take
- 12:35Speaker 3: the hate out of them. Like, you have Kyle Whittingham.
- 12:37Speaker 3: He gets the Michigan job, and he says, Michigan-Ohio State
- 12:40Speaker 3: can still be intense without relying on the hatred factor.
- 12:44Speaker 4: No, it can't.
- 12:45Speaker 3: The hatred factor is the entire point of a college
- 12:47Speaker 3: football rivalry.
- 12:48Speaker 4: Yes, it is. Right.
- 12:49Speaker 3: So, Missouri and Kansas play tonight in the border war. Kansas'
- 12:53Speaker 3: hype video for this game, Stu— It's an all-time hype
- 12:58Speaker 3: video because the premise of the video is basically Kansas
- 13:03Speaker 3: coming out and just saying, hey, just a reminder, in
- 13:05Speaker 3: the Civil War, Missouri sided with the Confederacy and believed
- 13:08Speaker 3: in slavery.
- 13:09Speaker 2: Oh, geez.
- 13:10Speaker 4: That is harsh. True. But it was a long time ago, man.
- 13:25Speaker 3: It's a very long time ago. And it's a subject,
- 13:29Speaker 3: so I've been reading up on it since, and it's
- 13:31Speaker 3: a subject that Missouri fans are very sensitive about because,
- 13:35Speaker 3: as you'd imagine, they'd like to distance themselves as far
- 13:38Speaker 3: away from it as possible.
- 13:39Speaker 4: Right. From the racism. Yes. Okay.
- 13:42Speaker 3: And whoever runs Kansas' social media was like, you guys
- 13:45Speaker 3: might hate this, but this is a perfect time for
- 13:48Speaker 3: us to bring it up because- There's people who are
- 13:50Speaker 3: on the fence about who they're rooting for in the
- 13:52Speaker 3: border war tonight. And I think when they put out
- 13:54Speaker 3: this video, a lot of people were reminded, yeah, I'd
- 13:57Speaker 3: probably side with Kansas in this.
- 13:58Speaker 4: Yeah, now I do.
- 14:01Speaker 3: So I was also reading up on this. The Confederacy
- 14:05Speaker 3: recognized Missouri as its 12th state for the Civil War,
- 14:09Speaker 3: but Missouri did not leave the Union. So you know
- 14:12Speaker 3: what Missouri was doing, Stu.
- 14:13Speaker 4: What's that, Taylor?
- 14:14Speaker 3: They were playing both sides.
- 14:22Speaker 4: I have never.
- 14:24Speaker 1: Been more confident in taking Kansas tonight. Plus five and
- 14:28Speaker 1: a half. The Jayhawks.
- 14:33Speaker 4: So that was their hype video. Missouri is racist.
- 14:35Speaker 3: Yeah. Stu, they could have put all the highlights in
- 14:39Speaker 3: it from, from past games.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Yes.
- 14:41Speaker 3: What it ultimately came down to was, hey, don't forget
- 14:44Speaker 3: Missouri was racist at one point.
- 14:46Speaker 4: They're telling Missouri, hey, you can run from this, you know,
- 14:48Speaker 4: as fast as you can.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Run as long as you want. We're not going to
- 14:52Speaker 1: let you forget it. It's a border war. And you're
- 14:57Speaker 1: right about the hatred with the rivalry. You have to
- 14:59Speaker 1: have it. Like, imagine the United States-Russia hockey game, the
- 15:03Speaker 1: most famous hockey game in the history of hockey, would
- 15:05Speaker 1: not be nearly as famous if Russia and the United
- 15:08Speaker 1: States were getting along, you know?
- 15:10Speaker 3: Yeah, Mack Brown did this when he became the head
- 15:12Speaker 3: coach at North Carolina, the second stint, where Mack Brown
- 15:16Speaker 3: gets the job, and he was talking about NC State,
- 15:19Speaker 3: and he was like, oh, NC State, I respect a
- 15:22Speaker 3: lot of their coaches there. It's a great run program,
- 15:25Speaker 3: Dave Doran, what he does there, and the same thing
- 15:27Speaker 3: with Manny Diaz at Duke. And it's like, that's the
- 15:30Speaker 3: politically correct thing to say, but I want my head
- 15:33Speaker 3: coach to understand why we don't like our rivals so much,
- 15:37Speaker 3: and I want that to kind of reflect on him.
- 15:40Speaker 4: Let's get to the I want the hatred.
- 15:42Speaker 2: I want the hatred.
- 15:43Speaker 3: I want the hate.
- 15:43Speaker 2: That's what I want.
- 15:44Speaker 5: And if you find out that your rival is sensitive
- 15:47Speaker 5: about something, you push that button over and over again.
- 15:51Speaker 2: Kansas, I am now rooting for you.
- 15:55Speaker 4: Are you? I mean, OK, Missouri.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Welcome, Kansas. Yes.
- 16:00Speaker 4: Missouri, Kansas.
- 16:01Speaker 1: Great job by Kansas. Perfect to create interest in that game.
- 16:05Speaker 1: I am proud of them, and also to get me
- 16:07Speaker 1: to side with Kansas, something I never thought I would
- 16:09Speaker 1: say in the history of my life. Listen, I could
- 16:12Speaker 1: have lived until I was 90 years old. I'm not
- 16:14Speaker 1: going to, but I could have, and I would never,
- 16:17Speaker 1: ever have imagined me arriving at a day where I
- 16:20Speaker 1: said I side with Kansas.
- 16:23Speaker 4: But here we are. We'll get to the top fives
- 16:25Speaker 4: in a minute. Stu, you gots. Coming up next. It
- 16:28Speaker 4: is time for this week's edition of Stu, You Gots.
- 16:31Speaker 1: All lines are courtesy of our friends over at FanDuel
- 16:33Speaker 1: and the FanDuel Sportsbook.
- 16:35Speaker 4: Four and two a week ago.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Off to a decent start. A solid start. I'm going
- 16:40Speaker 1: to wreck it all right now. Let's get to college first.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Kansas takes on Missouri. That game is tonight. Kansas is
- 16:46Speaker 1: plus five and a half at home, taking on Missouri.
- 16:50Speaker 4: Buy it up to six.
- 16:51Speaker 1: I'm taking Kansas to win the game outright.
- 16:53Speaker 4: How about that? Michigan coming off a suspect win, one
- 16:58Speaker 4: might say, a week ago. They are plus four and
- 17:01Speaker 4: a half.
- 17:01Speaker 1: They're taking on Oklahoma. I'm taking Michigan here. Buy it
- 17:05Speaker 1: up to five. Michigan wins the game. They win on
- 17:08Speaker 1: a last second. Hail Mary. For the second consecutive week
- 17:16Speaker 1: to get themselves to 2-0.
- 17:18Speaker 4: Michigan wins by three points at home.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Kentucky, plus ten and a half, taking on Alabama. Alabama
- 17:24Speaker 1: wins the game. Kentucky covers. Kentucky is sneaky good. They're
- 17:27Speaker 1: a talented team. Alabama by four points over Kentucky. Kentucky
- 17:32Speaker 1: gets the cover. Pitt, sneaky good team, minus seven and
- 17:36Speaker 1: a half. They're taking on UCF. Buy it down to seven.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Take the Panthers. The Panthers win. They cover Pittsburgh. by
- 17:43Speaker 1: 10 points at home. Syracuse, take it on Cal. Why
- 17:48Speaker 1: am I taking this game? I have no idea. Syracuse
- 17:51Speaker 1: is minus.
- 17:51Speaker 4: Three and a half at home.
- 17:53Speaker 1: I don't like Cal having to fly all the way
- 17:54Speaker 1: across the country to play in upstate New York. So
- 17:57Speaker 1: I'm going to take Syracuse here, buy it down to three.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Hughes wins by seven points at home. And finally, I
- 18:05Speaker 1: am contractually obligated to take Hawaii anytime they play at home,
- 18:09Speaker 1: regardless of whether I like them or not.
- 18:11Speaker 4: I happen to like them this week. They are minus
- 18:13Speaker 4: seven and a half. They're at home.
- 18:14Speaker 1: They're taking on New Mexico State. Buy it down to seven.
- 18:17Speaker 1: The Rainbows win by 13 points at home. NFL, week one,
- 18:22Speaker 1: it's all happening. Ravens, minus three and a half at
- 18:26Speaker 1: the Colts. I love Baltimore. Love Lamar Jackson. Wants to
- 18:31Speaker 1: impress in his first game with his new coach. I'm
- 18:33Speaker 1: taking the Ravens here simply because they have the best
- 18:36Speaker 1: player on the field.
- 18:37Speaker 4: And that's usually the case when Lamar Jackson is playing.
- 18:40Speaker 4: The Ravens win. They cover the Ravens by 10 points
- 18:44Speaker 4: on the road. The Jaguars.
- 18:46Speaker 1: Mikey's going to be mad at me. I'm not taking
- 18:48Speaker 1: the Jaguars because I like the Jaguars. I'm taking the
- 18:51Speaker 1: Jaguars because the Browns are bad. They're minus eight and
- 18:54Speaker 1: a half. The Jaguars buy.
- 18:56Speaker 4: It down to eight. Take Jacksonville. They win.
- 18:58Speaker 2: They cover.
- 18:59Speaker 4: They win by 14 points at home. This is the one.
- 19:03Speaker 1: Mikey's really going to get upset with me about. I
- 19:06Speaker 1: have taken the Jets here. I don't care about Robert
- 19:08Speaker 1: Sala revenge game. The Jets have a more talented roster
- 19:11Speaker 1: than the Titans. They're plus one and a half on
- 19:14Speaker 1: the road. The Jets win the game outright, Mikey. We're
- 19:17Speaker 1: off to a 1-0 start. It's the Jets by four
- 19:21Speaker 1: over Tennessee. The Bears, you know I love Caleb Williams.
- 19:25Speaker 1: I have to take Caleb Williams. I said he's the
- 19:27Speaker 1: greatest quarterback in the history of the NFL.
- 19:31Speaker 4: They're minus three. They're at Carolina. Buy it down to
- 19:34Speaker 4: two and a half. The Bears win.
- 19:36Speaker 1: They cover the Bears by seven points on the road. Cincinnati,
- 19:40Speaker 1: my boy Joe Burrow, minus three and a half. They're
- 19:43Speaker 1: taking on the Buccaneers. Buy it down to three. They
- 19:46Speaker 1: took that chip off of Baker's shoulder by giving him
- 19:50Speaker 1: an extra $ 65 million and a third season in Tampa Bay.
- 19:54Speaker 4: I'm taking the Bucs here.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Joe Burrow says this is the best team he's been
- 19:57Speaker 1: on since he played at LSU. That team was phenomenal.
- 20:01Speaker 1: That means this team is really, really talented. The Bengals
- 20:04Speaker 1: by 10 points at home over the Buccaneers. And finally,
- 20:08Speaker 1: the Chargers. Take it on the Cardinals. Chargers minus 9.5
- 20:12Speaker 1: at home. Again, this is a bet more against the
- 20:16Speaker 1: Cardinals than it is on the Chargers. So I am
- 20:18Speaker 1: taking the Chargers here, minus 9.5. They win by 14
- 20:22Speaker 1: points at home over the Arizona Cardinals.
- 20:25Speaker 4: Those are the picks, everyone. Good luck.

- 22:04Speaker 4: We'll get to Taylor's top five college football.
- 22:06Speaker 1: Games of the weekend coming up here in a second.
- 22:08Speaker 1: I have my top five NFL games. Mikey A also
- 22:12Speaker 1: has his top five NFL games. Do you guys blame
- 22:15Speaker 1: Aaron Donald for not making that trip? Do you think
- 22:17Speaker 1: the Rams should have made Aaron Donald make the trip
- 22:19Speaker 1: to Australia?
- 22:20Speaker 4: What do you think, Taylor?
- 22:21Speaker 3: So I don't think he should have played in that game,
- 22:23Speaker 3: but I think the least Aaron Donald could have done
- 22:25Speaker 3: is get on a flight and at least support his teammates.
- 22:28Speaker 4: Right, yeah.
- 22:30Speaker 5: We're not talking about, you know, hopping over to Kansas
- 22:33Speaker 5: City on a three-hour flight. No, you don't just go
- 22:36Speaker 5: to Australia to support your teammates. The whole reason Aaron
- 22:40Speaker 5: Donald wasn't going. is to get his body right. And
- 22:43Speaker 5: making that flight probably wasn't going to help.
- 22:46Speaker 4: Oh, boo-hoo.
- 22:47Speaker 3: He would have had to sleep in a first-class plane
- 22:49Speaker 3: ride there and then in a five-star hotel once he
- 22:52Speaker 3: gets to Australia and then sit outside in a, probably,
- 22:55Speaker 3: he probably would have sat in the owner's suite in Australia.
- 22:58Speaker 4: Give me a break.
- 22:59Speaker 5: I don't care how comfortable the seat is on a plane.
- 23:03Speaker 5: You're still on a plane and you're still a giant
- 23:05Speaker 5: human being on that plane.
- 23:07Speaker 4: I can tell you as someone who has traveled to Australia,
- 23:09Speaker 4: first-class helps.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Sure does.
- 23:12Speaker 3: They could have got Aaron Donald his own plane.
- 23:15Speaker 1: I didn't have to play a football game when I landed,
- 23:17Speaker 1: but I can tell you it helps.
- 23:18Speaker 4: That's all I can tell you.
- 23:19Speaker 1: Because I was looking at the people and coach, and
- 23:21Speaker 1: they weren't walking the same way I was walking.
- 23:23Speaker 4: I had a little pep in my step.
- 23:25Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? I mean, Matthew Stafford, that
- 23:28Speaker 1: was the one. Taylor, me and Mikey A were laughing
- 23:30Speaker 1: about this. You could send young guys in there, hop
- 23:33Speaker 1: on a bird, get off the bird, play a football game,
- 23:36Speaker 1: get back on the bird and go home. You can't
- 23:39Speaker 1: do that when you're 40. I'm telling you, as you age, man,
- 23:42Speaker 1: flying becomes increasingly difficult on your body.
- 23:45Speaker 4: It does.
- 23:45Speaker 3: What was Sean McVay's play call there, that fourth and
- 23:48Speaker 3: one where he had Matthew Stafford trying to sneak it?
- 23:51Speaker 3: Like Matthew Stafford's 38 and he deals with chronic back issues.
- 23:55Speaker 3: Like maybe hand the ball off to Kyron Williams.
- 23:57Speaker 4: Yes.
- 23:57Speaker 1: The only thing I'll say on Aaron Donald is, Mikey,
- 24:00Speaker 1: if you're in, you're in. Like, if you want to
- 24:02Speaker 1: come back, you come back. And you play all 17.
- 24:05Speaker 1: If you can play all 17, even if all 17
- 24:08Speaker 1: are in Melbourne, Australia.
- 24:12Speaker 5: And if you're coming back and we have to sacrifice
- 24:14Speaker 5: week one in Melbourne, Australia, to get you the other
- 24:17Speaker 5: six teams, I'll take my chances.
- 24:19Speaker 4: You know what?
- 24:20Speaker 1: I'm happy that we have a team to root against.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Because I'm rooting against the Rams in the NFL. I'm
- 24:24Speaker 1: rooting against LSU in college.
- 24:26Speaker 4: I am. And I'm happy.
- 24:27Speaker 2: And Missouri.
- 24:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 24:30Speaker 2: I'm rooting for both.
- 24:32Speaker 4: Not Missouri, though. Let's be clear. You're not rooting for Missouri, right? No.
- 24:37Speaker 2: Kansas.
- 24:37Speaker 4: All the way.
- 24:38Speaker 2: Missouri was racist once.
- 24:41Speaker 4: Go Jayhawks.
- 24:43Speaker 1: Once.
- 24:44Speaker 4: All right.
- 24:45Speaker 1: Let's get to Taylor's top five college football games as
- 24:48Speaker 1: we head into week two here.
- 24:51Speaker 3: So we have two OLIs.
- 24:53Speaker 4: All right.
- 24:53Speaker 2: Wow.
- 24:54Speaker 4: So seven games you like, huh? Yeah.
- 24:56Speaker 3: And one's a formality. Like, if this game's being played,
- 24:59Speaker 3: I don't care how the two teams are. They have
- 25:01Speaker 3: to be on it.
- 25:01Speaker 2: Right.
- 25:02Speaker 3: Iowa State at Iowa is that game. El Asico.
- 25:06Speaker 4: Wow.
- 25:07Speaker 3: I don't think Iowa State's good because their entire roster
- 25:10Speaker 3: left with Matt Campbell to Penn State.
- 25:11Speaker 4: And they're good. Yeah.
- 25:15Speaker 3: And Iowa looks like they might have a pretty good
- 25:18Speaker 3: offense for the first time. And the spread's double digits.
- 25:20Speaker 3: It's at Iowa. It's going to be a tough challenge
- 25:23Speaker 3: for Iowa State. But any time. these two teams meet
- 25:25Speaker 3: to play an ugly brand of football yeah you can
- 25:27Speaker 3: sign me up for.
- 25:28Speaker 1: It okay do we know if iowa's offense is really
- 25:32Speaker 1: that good i mean who they play last week we're
- 25:35Speaker 1: basing it on one game i.
- 25:36Speaker 3: Think they played a directional illinois maybe northern.
- 25:39Speaker 4: Illinois okay do it against iowa state.
- 25:43Speaker 3: Second oli yes arizona at byu two sneaky big 12
- 25:47Speaker 3: contenders yes could potentially challenge Texas Tech in that conference.
- 25:51Speaker 1: I would just say if I were to make a
- 25:53Speaker 1: top five college football games of the weekend, I'm not,
- 25:56Speaker 1: you are, I would include this in my top five.
- 25:58Speaker 4: Really? Yeah, this is an intriguing game. Sneaky game, yes.
- 26:02Speaker 3: Number five, we mentioned it before, Missouri at Kansas, the
- 26:07Speaker 3: border war, no love lost.
- 26:09Speaker 4: Yes, everything on the line.
- 26:10Speaker 3: Yeah, so Ahmad Hardy was a preseason All-American running back
- 26:14Speaker 3: for Mizzou. He's still out, which is a bummer. He's
- 26:16Speaker 3: recovering from A off-season gunshot wound still. But Missouri has
- 26:21Speaker 3: Austin Simmons, Ole Miss transfer at quarterback, one of Lane
- 26:24Speaker 3: Kiffin's throwaways.
- 26:25Speaker 4: Yeah, you have to watch out for those gunshot wounds.
- 26:30Speaker 2: They'll get you.
- 26:31Speaker 4: Every time.
- 26:33Speaker 3: Number four, Alabama at Kentucky. This is a big-time show-me-something game.
- 26:40Speaker 4: Massive game, man. I like Kentucky. That roster is loaded, man.
- 26:44Speaker 3: Plus ten and a half.
- 26:45Speaker 4: They're trying to become a football school. They really are.
- 26:48Speaker 3: So for Alabama, it's a show-me-something game because Keelan Russell,
- 26:51Speaker 3: you want to see him against an SEC defense and
- 26:53Speaker 3: not against East Carolina. And with Kentucky, every new coach
- 26:57Speaker 3: is trying to get their Kirk Cignetti moment in where
- 27:00Speaker 3: Kirk Cignetti goes to Indiana and he says, I win,
- 27:02Speaker 3: Google me. Will Stein had his moment during SEC media
- 27:06Speaker 3: days where, They asked him, why is Kentucky going to win?
- 27:09Speaker 3: And he said, because of me. So this is your
- 27:13Speaker 3: first chance.
- 27:13Speaker 4: Yes.
- 27:14Speaker 3: Will Stein, show me something.
- 27:15Speaker 4: Yes, win because of you. Right.
- 27:18Speaker 3: Number three.
- 27:19Speaker 4: Right.
- 27:20Speaker 3: Arizona State. going on the road to Texas A & M.
- 27:25Speaker 4: I love this game. I do.
- 27:26Speaker 1: I'm not certain about Texas A & M, and Arizona
- 27:29Speaker 1: State is sneaky good this year.
- 27:30Speaker 4: They are, yes.
- 27:31Speaker 3: So Kenny Dillingham stayed at Arizona State when you would
- 27:34Speaker 3: figure a lot of those big jobs like Penn State,
- 27:37Speaker 3: like some of those jobs that came open were after
- 27:40Speaker 3: him because he's always a hot young name when it
- 27:42Speaker 3: comes to college coaches. This is a change in the
- 27:45Speaker 3: narrative game for the Big 12. If they could go
- 27:47Speaker 3: on the road to one of the best environments in
- 27:49Speaker 3: college football, Kyle Field, and pull off an upset.
- 27:51Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 27:52Speaker 2: I agree.
- 27:53Speaker 4: It is a change the narrative game, if they could
- 27:55Speaker 4: do it.
- 27:55Speaker 5: Right.
- 27:55Speaker 4: But only if they could do it.
- 27:57Speaker 3: It's a big if.
- 27:58Speaker 1: If not, everything stays the same. There's no narrative change.
- 28:01Speaker 1: It's just the same narrative.
- 28:03Speaker 3: Number two.
- 28:03Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.
- 28:05Speaker 3: Oklahoma at Michigan in the big house. And I think
- 28:08Speaker 3: everybody in the country, it feels like is rooting for
- 28:11Speaker 3: Oklahoma after Michigan cheated Western Michigan.
- 28:14Speaker 1: Yes, but it feels like everyone's pounding Michigan because it
- 28:16Speaker 1: was plus five and a half and now it's plus.
- 28:18Speaker 4: Four and a half.
- 28:18Speaker 3: The Sharps are coming in on Michigan.
- 28:20Speaker 2: Yes. Yeah.
- 28:22Speaker 3: It feels like people watch that game and said, man,
- 28:24Speaker 3: Bryce Underwood is really bad. Oklahoma's defense is going to
- 28:27Speaker 3: have a field day with them.
- 28:28Speaker 1: I think when you have a game in which you
- 28:30Speaker 1: know you stole a game, you won a game that
- 28:32Speaker 1: you weren't supposed to win, I'd like to think that
- 28:35Speaker 1: that team, they recognize that, and they come out and
- 28:37Speaker 1: they actually play better the next week.
- 28:38Speaker 3: And it could have been a look-ahead spot for Michigan
- 28:40Speaker 3: with Oklahoma coming to town, a playoff team.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Could have been.
- 28:43Speaker 4: That's a convenient excuse.
- 28:47Speaker 3: There's only so much you can look ahead until Kyle
- 28:49Speaker 3: Whittingham looks defeated on the sideline as he's about to
- 28:51Speaker 3: lose to a Mac school.
- 28:54Speaker 1: That guy never should have left Utah. Some people just
- 28:57Speaker 1: need to stay exactly where they are.
- 28:58Speaker 3: Know your lane, yeah. Kyle Whittingham, first ballot, know your lane, buddy.
- 29:03Speaker 4: Utah, no pressure. No one cares what you say about
- 29:06Speaker 4: your rival.
- 29:07Speaker 1: You can't say that when you're the Michigan coach about
- 29:09Speaker 1: the Ohio State game.
- 29:10Speaker 4: You have to take that thing seriously, man.
- 29:13Speaker 1: Ryan Day thinks it's more important than winning national championships.
- 29:17Speaker 4: Anyway. Wow.
- 29:18Speaker 3: Perfect lead-in to this one. My number one game of
- 29:21Speaker 3: the weekend, no surprise, Ohio State at Texas. A ton
- 29:26Speaker 3: of NFL talent in this game. This is a big
- 29:28Speaker 3: revenge spot for Texas, even though you would assume if
- 29:31Speaker 3: they win out or lose just one more game the
- 29:33Speaker 3: remainder of the season, both these two teams should be
- 29:36Speaker 3: playoff teams. So it's a game that both teams could
- 29:38Speaker 3: afford to lose. but you don't want to lose it.
- 29:41Speaker 4: Well, that's what I hate. Both teams can't afford to
- 29:43Speaker 4: lose it. You're right. I don't like that about college
- 29:45Speaker 4: football these days, but that's where we're at.
- 29:47Speaker 1: Bear seemed to like Texas in this game. I like
- 29:51Speaker 1: Ohio State, and that's why I'm staying away from the game.
- 29:53Speaker 1: But I'm excited to watch it.
- 29:54Speaker 4: I am.
- 29:55Speaker 1: All right, Mikey A has his top five NFL games.
- 29:58Speaker 1: I have top five NFL games. Let's see how they
- 30:00Speaker 1: match up here as we head into week one of
- 30:03Speaker 1: the NFL season.
- 30:04Speaker 4: I can't wait.
- 30:05Speaker 1: I'm tired of these one-offs, these games just trickling in
- 30:09Speaker 1: one at a time in Melbourne.
- 30:13Speaker 4: And wherever else the other one was.
- 30:14Speaker 2: In Seattle.
- 30:15Speaker 4: No one cares about Seattle. Distance.
- 30:20Speaker 2: Give me all eyes.
- 30:21Speaker 4: I just need a full slate of games. I need
- 30:23Speaker 4: a full Sunday, Mikey. Anyway, I have no OLIs. Do you?
- 30:29Speaker 2: I have one.
- 30:29Speaker 4: One OLI.
- 30:30Speaker 2: All right. Cowboys-Giants.
- 30:34Speaker 4: Really?
- 30:36Speaker 2: Cowboys-Giants. All right.
- 30:38Speaker 5: This game is always hyped to be bigger than it
- 30:40Speaker 5: actually is.
- 30:42Speaker 4: The two teams are pretty lousy.
- 30:46Speaker 3: At least in recent history, it's been the Giants.
- 30:48Speaker 2: Right.
- 30:48Speaker 3: I feel like the Giants haven't beat Dak Prescott in, like,
- 30:51Speaker 3: It feels like an eternity at this point.
- 30:53Speaker 1: But you want to see John Harbaugh as the Giants
- 30:55Speaker 1: head coach. You want to see if Jackson Dart has
- 30:58Speaker 1: improved that quarterback. You want to see if Dallas is
- 31:00Speaker 1: for real, right? You want to see some of those things.
- 31:04Speaker 5: I'm not sure I'd count them all, but I'm sure
- 31:06Speaker 5: it's going to be in your top five.
- 31:07Speaker 4: It's not. How about that?
- 31:10Speaker 2: So you had an O-L-I too?
- 31:12Speaker 4: I didn't.
- 31:13Speaker 1: I just have a straight five here, and that was
- 31:15Speaker 1: not included. You want my number five first?
- 31:18Speaker 3: Just a quick correction. I said it feels like The
- 31:21Speaker 3: Cowboys haven't– Dak Prescott hasn't lost to the Giants in
- 31:24Speaker 3: quite some time.
- 31:25Speaker 4: Lost to them twice last year?
- 31:26Speaker 3: No, they lost to them, though, the last time they played,
- 31:28Speaker 3: January 4, 2026. There you go.
- 31:31Speaker 4: So the most recent– It was literally this year.
- 31:34Speaker 2: It was literally this year.
- 31:38Speaker 4: I love you.
- 31:39Speaker 3: Hand up, accountability.
- 31:42Speaker 1: Listen, all you do is say something without any information,
- 31:45Speaker 1: and then when you get it wrong, just hold your
- 31:46Speaker 1: hand up and say I was wrong.
- 31:48Speaker 2: Sorry. There you go.
- 31:49Speaker 4: Number five, Mikey's going to hate this. Jets and Titans.
- 31:54Speaker 2: I already hate your list.
- 31:55Speaker 1: Robert Sala, revenge game. Cam Ward, I want to see
- 31:58Speaker 1: if he's improved. The Jets, a lot of people are
- 32:01Speaker 1: excited about the Jets, Mike, especially the offense.
- 32:04Speaker 4: I like the Jets this week. I do. You heard
- 32:06Speaker 4: it in Stu, you gots. I'm sorry to Mikey A
- 32:08Speaker 4: for doing that.
- 32:09Speaker 1: I apologize to all Jet fans for picking the Jets.
- 32:11Speaker 1: But I am intrigued by this game, not because it's
- 32:13Speaker 1: my favorite team, just because I think it's an intriguing matchup.
- 32:16Speaker 4: That's all.
- 32:17Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 32:17Speaker 5: You said people are excited and you're intrigued by this game.
- 32:20Speaker 5: You can get tickets for that game right now for $ 22.
- 32:24Speaker 4: This is game one of the NFL season.
- 32:28Speaker 5: We don't know how bad these teams are, but everybody
- 32:30Speaker 5: seems to know those.
- 32:32Speaker 2: Two are going to be bad.
- 32:33Speaker 5: $ 22 will get you in the door.
- 32:35Speaker 2: At that game.
- 32:35Speaker 1: I didn't say how many people. I just said people
- 32:37Speaker 1: are interested. What's your number five?
- 32:42Speaker 5: Number five, Packers at Vikings. I want to see what
- 32:45Speaker 5: Kyler Murray looks like under the quarterback whisperer. And I
- 32:49Speaker 5: always have high hopes for Green Bay. It's the best
- 32:51Speaker 5: division in football, I think.
- 32:53Speaker 2: Packers-Vikings.
- 32:54Speaker 4: All right, Packers-Vikings.
- 32:55Speaker 1: Didn't Aaron Rodgers have some words for the Packers coach?
- 32:59Speaker 3: Yeah, he called him a clown.
- 33:00Speaker 4: Called him a clown.
- 33:02Speaker 2: And he deserved it. LeFleur deserved it. LeFleur. LeFleur deserved it.
- 33:08Speaker 5: He said Jordan Love was the best quarterback– pre-snap he's
- 33:13Speaker 5: ever coached.
- 33:14Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 33:15Speaker 5: If Aaron Rodgers has, like, one big superpower, that.
- 33:18Speaker 2: Might be it.
- 33:19Speaker 4: Wait, he said what about Jordan Love? Aaron Rodgers said
- 33:21Speaker 4: this about Jordan Love?
- 33:22Speaker 1: No, LeFleur said this about Jordan Love, and Aaron Rodgers
- 33:26Speaker 1: took issue with it, as he should.
- 33:28Speaker 3: I mean, to be fair, Aaron Rodgers takes issue with that.
- 33:32Speaker 3: Aaron Rodgers takes issue with everything nowadays.
- 33:34Speaker 4: I know, but that's ridiculous.
- 33:35Speaker 2: But he happens to be right here.
- 33:36Speaker 4: You can't be the coach of Aaron Rodgers.
- 33:38Speaker 1: I don't even know if LeFleur was there when Favre
- 33:40Speaker 1: was there, but you can't coach Aaron Rodgers and come
- 33:43Speaker 1: out and say Jordan Love is better at something, at anything.
- 33:45Speaker 3: Yeah, it's just a boy-cries-wolf situation with Aaron Rodgers because
- 33:48Speaker 3: you're so conditioned to every time Aaron Rodgers is saying something,
- 33:52Speaker 3: you roll your eyes that the one time he is
- 33:55Speaker 3: kind of right, you've already scared everybody off from your village,
- 33:58Speaker 3: Aaron Rodgers.
- 33:59Speaker 2: Yes.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Number four for me, Mikey, Bears at Panthers, mostly because
- 34:06Speaker 1: Caleb Williams, I think he's the greatest quarterback we've ever seen.
- 34:09Speaker 1: I think eventually we'll all say the same thing. Caleb
- 34:12Speaker 1: Williams was the greatest quarterback to ever play this game,
- 34:15Speaker 1: and so I want to see if Caleb has developed.
- 34:17Speaker 1: I want to see if the Bears are any good,
- 34:19Speaker 1: and the Panthers, complete roller coaster. I have no idea
- 34:23Speaker 1: what to expect. It's why I enjoy Panther games. Sometimes
- 34:26Speaker 1: they look like a team that can win the Super Bowl.
- 34:28Speaker 1: And other times it looked like a team that can't
- 34:30Speaker 1: make the playoffs.
- 34:30Speaker 4: It's amazing. Was that your Panther?
- 34:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:38Speaker 5: Same pick, same slot, number four, Bears at Panthers. It's
- 34:43Speaker 5: one of the few games that's actually between two playoff
- 34:45Speaker 5: teams from last year.
- 34:46Speaker 4: How about that? We're talking football, boys. Number three.
- 34:55Speaker 1: Bengals and Bucs.
- 34:59Speaker 4: Joe Burrow says.
- 34:59Speaker 1: It's the best team he's been on since the LSU
- 35:01Speaker 1: National Championship team, and he was on a team that
- 35:04Speaker 1: went to.
- 35:04Speaker 4: A Super Bowl.
- 35:08Speaker 1: Baker Mayfield, no more chip on his shoulder. One year
- 35:12Speaker 1: and 65 extra million dollars took the chip off of
- 35:15Speaker 1: his shoulder. I'm just interested in the game. I want
- 35:17Speaker 1: to see if the Bengals are as good as Joe
- 35:19Speaker 1: Burrow thinks they are.
- 35:21Speaker 5: As I said when we were talking to Bear, Week one,
- 35:24Speaker 5: I don't like to bet spreads too much.
- 35:26Speaker 2: I like to bet unders.
- 35:27Speaker 5: But if I had hope for any game to possibly
- 35:30Speaker 5: be a shootout this week, it's this one.
- 35:33Speaker 2: They're number three.
- 35:33Speaker 1: All right.
- 35:34Speaker 4: Give me your number two because I have a feeling
- 35:35Speaker 4: the next two.
- 35:36Speaker 2: Number two.
- 35:36Speaker 4: Yes.
- 35:38Speaker 2: The Bills at the Texans.
- 35:40Speaker 4: Jesus Christ. Should I scratch mine out? I mean.
- 35:43Speaker 3: That was your number two?
- 35:44Speaker 4: It's in pen. I don't know what to do.
- 35:46Speaker 2: Yeah, you can't. There's nothing you can do about it.
- 35:48Speaker 3: I was in that number one.
- 35:50Speaker 4: I haven't. Well. You'll find out in a second, yes.
- 35:53Speaker 2: We'll find out, yeah. How about that?
- 35:55Speaker 4: Why are you intrigued by this game? I am, too.
- 35:57Speaker 4: You want to see if C.J. Shroud is back, right? Essentially.
- 36:00Speaker 4: Because you know the defense is good, right?
- 36:03Speaker 5: It's obviously a championship-level defense. I want to see if C.J.
- 36:06Speaker 5: Shroud can be good enough that they'll win games. Buffalo,
- 36:11Speaker 5: new head coach. Was it Sean McDermott holding Josh Allen back?
- 36:17Speaker 2: Joe Brady's got the reins now.
- 36:20Speaker 5: It's the best player in the NFL versus the best
- 36:23Speaker 5: unit in the NFL.
- 36:25Speaker 2: Fireworks.
- 36:27Speaker 4: I like it.
- 36:27Speaker 1: That's why it's my number two as well, mostly because
- 36:30Speaker 1: I want to see if C.J.
- 36:31Speaker 4: Straub has improved.
- 36:33Speaker 1: Then the Texans are going to be a team that's
- 36:35Speaker 1: going to contend for the Super Bowl. Because Chris Sims
- 36:38Speaker 1: told us a year ago that defense was a championship-worthy defense,
- 36:41Speaker 1: and they are literally a quarterback away. So I want
- 36:44Speaker 1: to see if that quarterback has fixed whatever problems that
- 36:47Speaker 1: he has needed to address here in the offseason.
- 36:50Speaker 4: Uh, you're number one, Mikey. I can't, it's going to
- 36:52Speaker 4: be the same.
- 36:53Speaker 2: It's Monday night football. It's Monday night football.
- 36:56Speaker 4: Well, what's the game?
- 36:57Speaker 2: It's Broncos at chiefs.
- 36:58Speaker 4: Oh, that's not mine. How about that?
- 37:00Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 37:01Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 37:02Speaker 2: Wow. You got something better than better than that, huh?
- 37:06Speaker 4: Uh, you're going Broncos chief strictly on the.
- 37:09Speaker 1: The idea of you want to see my home, see
- 37:11Speaker 1: how he looks, see if he's healthy, because if he
- 37:13Speaker 1: is indeed healthy in the homes of old, uh, we
- 37:16Speaker 1: could stop talking about the Rams as much as we've
- 37:18Speaker 1: been talking about them.
- 37:19Speaker 4: Kansas City is going to be a factor.
- 37:22Speaker 5: Divisional matchup between two teams in probably the second-best division
- 37:26Speaker 5: in football. Patrick Mahomes coming back. Can he find that form?
- 37:32Speaker 5: Denver was AFC champions in the AFC championship game last year,
- 37:36Speaker 5: and frankly, if Bo Nix starts that game, they probably
- 37:40Speaker 5: win and they go to the Super Bowl, and then
- 37:41Speaker 5: who knows what happens.
- 37:43Speaker 4: All right, my number one here. I can't believe that
- 37:45Speaker 4: game was not in my top five. It probably should
- 37:47Speaker 4: have been. I probably should have taken the Jets and
- 37:49Speaker 4: Titans out. A little bit of an.
- 37:50Speaker 2: Oversight, yeah. Jets, Titans. What the heck game do you
- 37:53Speaker 2: have in there?
- 37:55Speaker 4: I have the Eagles and the Commanders. Why? Because no
- 37:59Speaker 4: more A.J.
- 38:00Speaker 2: Brown.
- 38:01Speaker 1: I want to see how Jalen Hurts looks without A.J.
- 38:04Speaker 1: Brown and how A.J. Brown is out for at least
- 38:07Speaker 1: four weeks here for the Patriots. Commanders, Jaden Daniels, who
- 38:10Speaker 1: took his team as a rookie to the NFC Championship game.
- 38:13Speaker 1: He got injured last year. I want to see if
- 38:16Speaker 1: Jaden Daniels looks something close to what he was like
- 38:19Speaker 1: as a rookie.
- 38:20Speaker 4: And so I like the matchup. It's intriguing to me.
- 38:22Speaker 1: It's my list. It's not yours. You watch your Chiefs game,
- 38:25Speaker 1: and I'll watch Eagles to Manders.
- 38:27Speaker 4: I want to watch them all. How about that?
- 38:29Speaker 2: No, you can't.
- 38:30Speaker 4: No, you can't watch it now.
- 38:31Speaker 2: You can't watch Chiefs Broncos now. You're not allowed.
- 38:34Speaker 4: Well, you can't watch Eagles Commanders. How about that?
- 38:37Speaker 5: As long as I don't have to watch Jets Titans.
- 38:40Speaker 3: If we were playing one and only one this weekend
- 38:42Speaker 3: when it comes to NFL games, I think Bills versus
- 38:45Speaker 3: Texans is better than both your guys' number one games.
- 38:49Speaker 4: Well.
- 38:50Speaker 3: It's my list.
- 38:52Speaker 2: Yeah, it's your list.
- 38:53Speaker 5: If that game was in week 10, I'd probably be
- 38:54Speaker 5: more excited about it.
- 38:57Speaker 4: You're saying we got our list wrong is what you're.
- 39:00Speaker 3: Yeah, let me work on that.
- 39:01Speaker 2: Well, Stugatz definitely did. He has Jets, Titans.
- 39:03Speaker 1: Well, now Taylor's working on his top five NFL games.
- 39:05Speaker 4: Go ahead. I want you to work on it. We'll
- 39:07Speaker 4: filibuster here for a second. Go ahead.
- 39:12Speaker 1: Because your top five college games wasn't enough that you
- 39:15Speaker 1: now want to get involved.
- 39:17Speaker 3: How about I come up with a top five stinkers list?
- 39:20Speaker 4: Well, you're going to put one of my games on there.
- 39:22Speaker 4: Jets and Titans, aren't you?
- 39:23Speaker 2: It should be number one.
- 39:25Speaker 4: I want your top five games of the week. Let's go.
- 39:27Speaker 4: Give me your top five games of the week.
- 39:29Speaker 2: Music. Yes.
- 39:35Speaker 3: Number five. The Baltimore Ravens versus the Indianapolis Colts. Lamar
- 39:43Speaker 3: Jackson MVP season. Jesse Minter takes over as head coach.
- 39:48Speaker 3: I think people are forgetting how good the Colts were
- 39:51Speaker 3: before Daniel Jones got hurt.
- 39:53Speaker 2: So why is this a stinker?
- 39:55Speaker 3: No, this is number five. This is my good list.
- 39:57Speaker 4: No, I told him to bail on the stinkers. He
- 39:59Speaker 4: gave us the good list. Yeah, yes, yeah, yeah. Why,
- 40:02Speaker 4: you want the stinkers? He can do the stinkers just
- 40:04Speaker 4: as quickly. No, no, no. You want my stinkers? Taylor,
- 40:07Speaker 4: finish your list. I'll do the stinkers, okay? I'm going
- 40:10Speaker 4: to put the Chiefs on there.
- 40:13Speaker 3: The Arizona Cardinals versus the Los Angeles Chargers. I want
- 40:17Speaker 3: to see what Justin Herbert looks like in Mike McDaniel's offense.
- 40:21Speaker 3: And Jeremiah Love is playing for the Cardinals. So at
- 40:23Speaker 3: least that's going to be exciting from the Cardinals' perspective
- 40:26Speaker 3: because not much else gets anybody excited about that roster.
- 40:29Speaker 4: No. I took Jeremiah Love in my fantasy league. How
- 40:32Speaker 4: about that?
- 40:32Speaker 5: So he's making a top five list that just doesn't
- 40:35Speaker 5: include any of the games that we picked.
- 40:36Speaker 2: Gotcha.
- 40:37Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 40:38Speaker 3: Number three. The Saints versus the Lions.
- 40:43Speaker 4: Ah, that's a good game.
- 40:43Speaker 1: Shuck!
- 40:44Speaker 3: Lions finished dead last in that division, even though they
- 40:47Speaker 3: had a winning record last year. I have the Lions
- 40:50Speaker 3: winning the NFC North this season. And then me and Mikey,
- 40:53Speaker 3: we are the leaders of the Mother Shuckers. So anytime
- 40:56Speaker 3: Tyler Shuck plays football, you can guarantee, you can bet
- 40:59Speaker 3: your bottom dollar that game is going to make my
- 41:01Speaker 3: top five list. Mm-hmm.
- 41:03Speaker 2: Darn right.
- 41:04Speaker 4: Bet your bottom dollar.
- 41:06Speaker 3: Number two.
- 41:07Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 41:08Speaker 3: The Cleveland Browns versus the Jacksonville Jaguars. Mina Kimes said
- 41:13Speaker 3: her sneaky pick for MVP this season is Trevor Lawrence.
- 41:17Speaker 1: No.
- 41:17Speaker 3: And this might be an if-not-now-when year for Trevor Lawrence.
- 41:21Speaker 3: So if he needs to have an MVP season, that
- 41:24Speaker 3: starts on Sunday 1 p.m.
- 41:26Speaker 4: All right. Mina said that, huh, Trevor Lawrence? She'll learn
- 41:30Speaker 4: the hard way. Number one.
- 41:34Speaker 3: It's the game I'm most excited for, Bills-Texans.
- 41:39Speaker 4: For the reasons, Mikey. Just a great game.
- 41:41Speaker 1: Yes, that we laid out as our number two game
- 41:43Speaker 1: of the week.
- 41:44Speaker 4: Keep the music playing. I have my top five stinkers.
- 41:49Speaker 4: Number five.
- 41:50Speaker 2: Taylor's List.
- 41:54Speaker 4: Falcon Steelers.
- 41:56Speaker 3: Wow, that would have been number one.
- 41:58Speaker 2: Cooper Rush.
- 41:59Speaker 1: Taylor said yesterday if Cooper Rush is playing quarterback for
- 42:02Speaker 1: the Falcons, he will not watch that game.
- 42:04Speaker 3: I'd rather watch tennis. That's how I phrased it.
- 42:06Speaker 4: It was a great match last night.
- 42:08Speaker 3: Is there a Ben Shelton match on that?
- 42:11Speaker 5: They got a better chance of winning that game with
- 42:12Speaker 5: Cooper Rush.
- 42:13Speaker 1: By the way, Rich Eisen, hour one on a football
- 42:15Speaker 1: Friday today. You know who his guest was?
- 42:18Speaker 3: Shelton?
- 42:19Speaker 4: Patrick McEnroe. How about that?
- 42:22Speaker 3: So he does copy our show.
- 42:24Speaker 2: By the way, Cooper Rush, floaty.
- 42:27Speaker 4: Yes.
- 42:28Speaker 2: Well, maybe.
- 42:28Speaker 4: We'll see.
- 42:30Speaker 1: I'm trying to repair my relationship with Eisen. Why are
- 42:33Speaker 1: you taking shots at him?
- 42:34Speaker 3: I bet he'll have Joel Anderson on next week to
- 42:37Speaker 3: talk college football.
- 42:38Speaker 4: Raise the roof.
- 42:43Speaker 2: Tom's bear joining him.
- 42:44Speaker 4: I gave you Luther Campbell's number. I'll make that happen
- 42:47Speaker 4: next week.
- 42:47Speaker 1: Joel Anderson and Luke Campbell together to figure out who
- 42:51Speaker 1: invented raise the roof. Number four. Browns, Jaguars. I don't
- 43:01Speaker 1: care about Jacksonville. I care less about Cleveland. That game
- 43:04Speaker 1: is dreadful. I don't care if Deshaun Watson regained some.
- 43:08Speaker 4: Of his old form. I don't want him to.
- 43:12Speaker 1: And Trevor Lawrence is Trevor Lawrence, and he's not going
- 43:15Speaker 1: to win the MVP. Number three, Dolphins Raiders. Need I
- 43:20Speaker 1: say more?
- 43:21Speaker 3: Yeah, Ricardo's going to be at that game.
- 43:22Speaker 2: Should have been number one. Really?
- 43:24Speaker 3: Yep, unfortunately.
- 43:25Speaker 4: Well, he gets to go to Las Vegas.
- 43:28Speaker 3: Viva Las Vegas.
- 43:29Speaker 4: Yep. It's always a good thing. At least for me.
- 43:33Speaker 4: Number two. Chargers, Cardinals. Listen, the Chargers, I'm tired of them.
- 43:40Speaker 4: I'm tired of them. I'm tired of Harbaugh. I'm tired
- 43:43Speaker 4: of Herbert. And I am so tired of the Cardinals.
- 43:46Speaker 4: I'll be watching.
- 43:49Speaker 1: I'll be pounding the Chargers. And they'll trick us again
- 43:52Speaker 1: because they'll blow Arizona out and probably cover that spread
- 43:55Speaker 1: and we'll be like, oh, the Chargers, Herbert, they're good.
- 43:58Speaker 1: Until they play someone that's better. Happens every year.
- 44:03Speaker 4: That's number two. Number one. Chiefs Broncos.
- 44:12Speaker 1: I know the Chiefs are good. I know the Broncos
- 44:14Speaker 1: are good. It's the first game of the year. If
- 44:17Speaker 1: it was week 10, it would mean more. I know
- 44:20Speaker 1: both teams are going to be in the playoffs. So, like,
- 44:24Speaker 1: whatever with this game. You need some stakes for a game.
- 44:26Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a nothing.
- 44:28Speaker 2: Chiefs, Broncos, blah, blah, blah. They're good. I have to
- 44:33Speaker 2: watch good football. Shit, it's tight.
- 44:37Speaker 1: It's more intriguing than Chiefs and Broncos.
- 44:41Speaker 4: I'm sorry.
