  Speaker 1: It's welcome.
• 0:16
Speaker 2: Everybody, welcome. So this week's just this still real not
• 0:21
Speaker 2: show Epsomber seven and seventy Vember fourteen, two Thousan twenty four,
• 0:25
Speaker 2: Welcome to this week's edition of ass R TEA years
• 0:31
Speaker 2: I am one after the show, I am Jack pack
• 0:34
Speaker 2: joined every single week from my closet one of Doctor
• 0:36
Speaker 2: frank landon Doctor Trade. This was the first time that
• 0:40
Speaker 2: I spent just cleaving the baby spit up before the show.
• 0:44
Speaker 3: My friend, Oh, so you told me what happened before
• 0:49
  Speaker 3: the show started.
• 0:49
Speaker 4: Did you make your kid watch aw or something? Is that? Why?
• 0:53
Speaker 3: Is that why he vomited all over the recording studio
• 0:55
Speaker 3: so that way you couldn't do the show.
• 0:56
Speaker 2: Yeah, about two three minutes before I had sit down
• 1:00
Speaker 2: on record, just I was holding them and I just
• 1:04
Speaker 2: started hearing burping, wet purping, and looked down. I was like,
• 1:08
Speaker 2: all right, I don't see either of my clothes. Looked
• 1:10
Speaker 2: down a little bit more. I'm like, oh, it's all
• 1:12
Speaker 2: over the floor, it's all over him, and it's a
• 1:15
Speaker 2: right where I need to record tonight. So the upside.
• 1:19
Speaker 3: Is dog and this is where dogs can't come in
• 1:22
Speaker 3: handy all those gross as hell and you never will
• 1:25
Speaker 3: like let your dog into your face again.
• 1:27
  Speaker 4: Dogs love spit.
• 1:28
Speaker 2: Up really Okay, I guess it's a form of liquid, right.
• 1:32
Speaker 3: Yeah, So they'll come through there and they'll take care
• 1:36
Speaker 3: of a lot of it for you. So but just you
• 1:38
Speaker 3: look at your dog, go, I love you, but you're
• 1:39
Speaker 3: not coming near my face again for quite some time.
• 1:43
Speaker 2: Who needs the farmer's dog or blue buffalo or wellness
• 1:49
Speaker 2: when you've got your own child's throw up?
• 1:52
Speaker 3: Yeah, is crazy, something like I love because we have
• 1:56
Speaker 3: the inside dog, and we have the outside dog, our
• 1:58
Speaker 3: pyreentees that guards our little farm, and then we have
• 2:01
Speaker 3: the bulldog on the inside, which people have heard him
• 2:03
Speaker 3: snore and fart on the show before. But the other
• 2:06
Speaker 3: great thing about that is they're also like garbage disposals
• 2:08
Speaker 3: because like you got some leftovers, Oh, we have a dog,
• 2:11
Speaker 3: we don't have to throw this out, give.
• 2:13
Speaker 4: It to the dog. So yeah, it's great on some levels.
• 2:19
Speaker 3: And then but they come in handy when your kid
• 2:21
Speaker 3: decides he wants to vomit all over the floor.
• 2:23
Speaker 2: Yeah. No, it's one part domestic and animal, a second
• 2:28
Speaker 2: part vacuum cleaner. So yeah, that is the life and
• 2:33
Speaker 2: times of being a parent. It's been fun. I was
• 2:36
Speaker 2: telling Doctor Trey before or doctor Trey knows I am
• 2:40
Speaker 2: coming in from vacation. So spent a couple of days
• 2:43
Speaker 2: down in Disney World with my son, my wife, son's
• 2:47
Speaker 2: first trip in Disney, four and a half month old.
• 2:49
Speaker 2: I was scared shitless, doctor Trey of traveling with a
• 2:53
Speaker 2: child on a plane, And thankfully he was fantastic. He slept,
• 2:58
Speaker 2: got fussy a little bit on the way home, but
• 3:01
Speaker 2: that was really it. He was. He was great. I
• 3:04
Speaker 2: lucked out, and I guess that has just prepared me
• 3:07
Speaker 2: for when he can like walk and really become a
• 3:10
Speaker 2: menace on an airplane.
• 3:11
Speaker 4: Was he was your fear actual him being in pain?
• 3:15
Speaker 3: Or was your fear him being an annoyance to other
• 3:18
Speaker 3: people and that causing uh, like a it was air
• 3:21
Speaker 3: rage battle or something where you know, somebody yells about
• 3:24
Speaker 3: the kid. I'm playing us send for your kid. What
• 3:26
Speaker 3: was it the what factor was it?
• 3:28
Speaker 4: The edge of scared?
• 3:29
Speaker 2: I think it's a little fifty to fifty right because
• 3:32
Speaker 2: you don't know, Like I don't know what it was
• 3:34
Speaker 2: like for you with your two children, But like anything
• 3:36
Speaker 2: that happens, I'm like, is this hurting him? Like loud music.
• 3:40
Speaker 2: Is it hurting him? Do I got to put the
• 3:42
Speaker 2: headphones on? Is there any issues with you know, sending
• 3:46
Speaker 2: and getting ready for landing in the planes, because I
• 3:49
Speaker 2: don't know about other people, but especially when I have allergies,
• 3:53
Speaker 2: it takes forever for my ears to pop, Like has
• 3:56
Speaker 2: he got to be hurting from this? Yeah? And then
• 3:59
Speaker 2: of course you don't want to cry because then you've
• 4:01
Speaker 2: got some jackasset's kind to say something. So I guess
• 4:04
Speaker 2: it was fifty to fifty of both. Yeah.
• 4:06
Speaker 3: I know my young like Sammy Sammy Franklin has not
• 4:10
  Speaker 3: been on a plane yet, so I haven't, but I
• 4:12
Speaker 3: did that with my olt with my daughter, like she's
• 4:15
Speaker 3: been on a couple of flights when she was very little.
• 4:17
Speaker 4: It's the same thing.
• 4:18
Speaker 3: Like I was worried about, like hers is more than
• 4:21
Speaker 3: ear popping because she had she had, you know, have
• 4:23
Speaker 3: tubes put her ears, so she had very nearrow ear canal.
• 4:26
Speaker 4: So I was worried about that. Uh.
• 4:27
Speaker 3: And then also like I was like, yeah, if anybody
• 4:29
Speaker 3: yells at my daughter for crying on this plane, I
• 4:32
Speaker 3: am going to jump over a seat and punch them
• 4:35
Speaker 3: because I'm literally it was like a one to eighty.
• 4:37
Speaker 3: Like before she came along, I was like, got like, jeez, kitch,
• 4:40
Speaker 3: is quiet your kid up? And then when I had
• 4:42
Speaker 3: a kid, I'm like, no, you really can't. There is
• 4:44
Speaker 3: no volume control on a child. There's no on off switch.
• 4:47
Speaker 3: It is they are going to be loud if they
• 4:49
Speaker 3: want to be loud, and they are going to be
• 4:50
Speaker 3: quiet if they want to be quiet, and you just
• 4:52
Speaker 3: have to suffer the consequences.
• 4:54
Speaker 4: So it's a complete one eighty versial for from when you.
• 4:59
  Speaker 2: Have no kid.
• 5:00
Speaker 3: Is that when you actually have an diffident and you
• 5:02
Speaker 3: know you and I have joked about this on the
• 5:04
Speaker 3: show before, like when you the first time you drive
• 5:06
Speaker 3: your kid home from the hospital, you do like thirty
• 5:08
Speaker 3: miles an hour on the interstate.
• 5:10
Speaker 4: It's it's literally the same thing.
• 5:11
Speaker 3: Like that switch just comes out of nowhere and you're like, look,
• 5:15
Speaker 3: I swear I don't like people coming near my kid.
• 5:20
Speaker 4: Like people used to come.
• 5:21
Speaker 3: Up to my daughter when she was like a baby
• 5:23
Speaker 3: and go, oh what the cues baby ever, and like
• 5:25
Speaker 3: wouldn't want to put their hands into the stroller to
• 5:27
Speaker 3: touch them, Like I got it.
• 5:29
  Speaker 2: That's weird.
• 5:30
Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, even now like today we went to the
• 5:32
Speaker 3: store being Sanny and he picked up a little toy
• 5:35
Speaker 3: and we're walking out the door and this lady's like,
• 5:37
Speaker 3: oh my god, he is just the most handsome little
• 5:39
Speaker 3: boy ever. And she started to like reach out for him,
• 5:43
Speaker 3: and I'm like, I will cut you, old lady. I
• 5:45
Speaker 3: don't care what you think this is. You can't touch
• 5:48
  Speaker 3: my kid.
• 5:49
Speaker 2: So yeah, but what if she was actually racing for you?
• 5:53
Speaker 4: I have to get permission from my wife.
• 5:55
Speaker 2: Fair enough, fair enough, fair enough. We did have a
• 6:00
Speaker 2: moment where and I only found out about this like
• 6:02
Speaker 2: towards the end of flight. But I guess when my
• 6:04
Speaker 2: wife and I were getting on the plane, this couple
• 6:07
Speaker 2: was like say, talking to one another's we got on
• 6:11
  Speaker 2: the plane and I couldn't I didn't hear them, and
• 6:13
Speaker 2: I guess the husband said, that's asking for trouble, and
• 6:19
Speaker 2: then the wife said they're gonna do what they're gonna
• 6:22
Speaker 2: want to do and like roll her eyes. And my
• 6:25
Speaker 2: wife only told me about this like three quarters of
• 6:27
Speaker 2: the way through the flight, like somebody said that about us,
• 6:30
Speaker 2: because I think in the moment, if it happened, and
• 6:32
Speaker 2: I would have been like, what the fuck's your problem?
• 6:34
Speaker 2: Because I have like zero tolerance for just like rude
• 6:38
Speaker 2: people at all, Like I will absolutely like call you
• 6:41
Speaker 2: out immediately. So I was like, who said this? And
• 6:45
Speaker 2: she points them out and it's like this elderly couple
• 6:48
Speaker 2: and I'm like, do I really want to, like when
• 6:51
Speaker 2: I get off the plane be like, by the way,
• 6:53
Speaker 2: fuck you to an elderly couple. So I guess this
• 6:57
Speaker 2: is growth, doctor Trey, because I was just like, you know,
• 6:59
Speaker 2: what to go, this is just elderly people being elderly people.
• 7:03
Speaker 2: But yeah, no, I mean I was in that position
• 7:05
Speaker 2: where it's like mind your own business, like what what
• 7:08
Speaker 2: the hell does it matter to you? In the travel
• 7:10
Speaker 2: And quite honestly, it was fine, no issues. They were
• 7:15
Speaker 2: very far up ahead of the plane so they didn't
• 7:17
Speaker 2: have to deal with it anyway if anything happened. But
• 7:19
Speaker 2: it's like, what makes people think that they can a
• 7:22
Speaker 2: like touch your kid if they think they're cute or
• 7:25
Speaker 2: be common on your kid. It's like, that's a bizarre
• 7:28
Speaker 2: life of parenthood. I guess huh it is.
• 7:31
Speaker 3: And it's one of those things where it's just like
• 7:34
Speaker 3: just like as you get older, I'm sure you're running
• 7:37
Speaker 3: it down, Like I get more irritated at stupid people
• 7:40
Speaker 3: year after year after year, like bad parking jobs, or
• 7:43
Speaker 3: the person who drives the wrong way in a parking lot,
• 7:46
Speaker 3: like there's an arrow pointing one way and you're driving
• 7:48
Speaker 3: the other way, Like that's there. But when it comes
• 7:50
Speaker 3: to my kids, yeah, I get absolutely irritated, like right away.
• 7:54
Speaker 3: But then I also don't want to set a bad
• 7:56
Speaker 3: example as the parent who goes around like punching other
• 7:59
Speaker 3: parents or you know, cussing out old people in front
• 8:02
  Speaker 3: of my kid.
• 8:03
Speaker 4: Like Sammy will correct.
• 8:04
Speaker 3: Me if I say a bad word at all now
• 8:07
Speaker 3: and he's like, you can't say that, and I'm like, oh, no,
• 8:09
Speaker 3: I've earned this right.
• 8:10
Speaker 4: But in protection of you, yeah, I can say whatever
• 8:14
  Speaker 4: I want.
• 8:15
Speaker 3: But yeah, it's it's one of those weird things where like, man,
• 8:17
Speaker 3: was was I that jerk in my twenties? Like you
• 8:20
Speaker 3: know if a couple's like, oh, they're asking for it, Yeah,
• 8:22
Speaker 3: you're absolutely right. I know the risks of taking my
• 8:25
  Speaker 3: child on a plane. I certainly I do, Like I
• 8:28
Speaker 3: am prepared for the consequences of what comes into this battle.
• 8:30
Speaker 3: I'm not going into this blindly, so I don't need
• 8:34
Speaker 3: somebody commenting on it.
• 8:35
Speaker 4: I'd be like, why don't you worry about you know, like, yeah,
• 8:38
Speaker 4: like I am really.
• 8:39
Speaker 3: Bad about like flaming somebody to the point where like
• 8:42
Speaker 3: I am saying just really insensitive stuff, but in a
• 8:45
Speaker 3: polite way where it takes them a little while to
• 8:47
Speaker 3: realize how badly I flame them.
• 8:49
Speaker 4: Like in that situation, I'm.
• 8:50
Speaker 3: Like, why don't you worry about your plot in the
• 8:53
Speaker 3: cemetery more so than whether or not I'm traveling with
• 8:55
  Speaker 3: a child?
• 8:56
Speaker 2: Yeah? Absolutely, just mine run damn business. I think that's
• 8:59
Speaker 2: the problem of a lot of people today in society.
• 9:02
Speaker 2: And yeah, that was part of my day of travel
• 9:06
Speaker 2: as I ended, of course obviously recording here this week's
• 9:08
Speaker 2: edition of SRTU. Oh, I've got wrestling news here, doctor
• 9:12
Speaker 2: try I've got a wrestling tie into my flying So
• 9:15
Speaker 2: obviously flying out of Orlando Big Wrestling Hub a couple
• 9:19
Speaker 2: of years ago, which I think I brought up on
• 9:20
Speaker 2: the shell Shins k Nakamora, like Jason Jordan, Bobby Rude.
• 9:28
Speaker 2: There was like a bunch of NX stars at the
• 9:30
Speaker 2: time they were in NXT. I think shinsk just got
• 9:33
Speaker 2: called up to SmackDown. We're flying out of Orlando to
• 9:36
Speaker 2: that night show and SmackDown and like I you know,
• 9:39
Speaker 2: fanboying out and they weren't on my plane. It was
• 9:41
Speaker 2: I was very upset about that, but I was fanboying out.
• 9:44
Speaker 2: I'm walking through Orlando International Airport today and I saw
• 9:48
Speaker 2: aw wrestler, a former NX Star, former nxt UK Tag
• 9:54
Speaker 2: Team champion, the one and only James Drake, part of
• 9:57
Speaker 2: Grizzled Young Veterans, walking around the airport going his flight,
• 10:00
Speaker 2: which I assume. I believe Collision is being taped on
• 10:03
Speaker 2: Thursday night, and they were being taped in Albany, so
• 10:05
Speaker 2: I wonder if Frizzled Young Veterans is either doing the
• 10:08
Speaker 2: Collision taping or are they Are they doing the roh taping?
• 10:11
Speaker 2: But I was like, oh, that's cool, that's James Rake.
• 10:15
Speaker 3: So it's funny you mentioned the Grizzled Young Bets because
• 10:17
Speaker 3: I actually, uh got a sticker for my car, got it.
• 10:20
Speaker 4: You know, I got a new car a few months ago.
• 10:22
Speaker 4: You have to kind of decorate the car up to
• 10:23
  Speaker 4: match it.
• 10:24
  Speaker 3: So I have a I have a bear on the
• 10:26
Speaker 3: back of it, and I put Grizzled Old Man under
• 10:29
  Speaker 3: the sticker.
• 10:30
Speaker 4: So because in honor of the Grizzled Young Bets.
• 10:32
Speaker 3: But I was going to ask you about the Disney
• 10:34
Speaker 3: World because in the past, also you ran into Kevin.
• 10:37
Speaker 4: Oh was it Disney World.
• 10:39
Speaker 3: I was going to ask if you had ran into anybody,
• 10:41
Speaker 3: and then you let into the James Drake story.
• 10:44
Speaker 2: So there you go. Yeah, no, no, no wrestlers in
• 10:46
  Speaker 2: Disney World. I saw Jason Kelsey's wife. I don't know
• 10:51
Speaker 2: if that resonates with people who listen to wrestling podcasts,
• 10:53
Speaker 2: but I'm like, why is that all? Lady looked familiar. Oh,
• 10:56
Speaker 2: it's Jason Kelsey's wife. I was like, Oh, that's pretty cool. Actually,
• 11:01
Speaker 2: I guess for music fans out there. I was walking
• 11:06
Speaker 2: in the Magic Kingdom and we were walking to dinner
• 11:09
Speaker 2: on Saturday night and they were taping the Disney Christmas
• 11:15
Speaker 2: special that airs. I think one airs in the beginning
• 11:19
Speaker 2: of December, first time frame, like on free Form they
• 11:21
Speaker 2: do one at the beginning of the month, and then
• 11:24
Speaker 2: the one that airs on Christmas Day, which was always
• 11:26
Speaker 2: a tradition of my family, the Christmas Parade on ABC.
• 11:29
Speaker 2: They take that like six weeks in advance, and we're
• 11:33
Speaker 2: walking down the hill of the one side of the
• 11:37
Speaker 2: Magic Kingdom going to dinner and somebody's performing. People are
• 11:40
Speaker 2: going nuts. And what song do I hear being played?
• 11:43
Speaker 2: But the one only tiny Dancer and freaking Elton John
• 11:46
Speaker 2: is just tickling the ivories doctor Trey in the Magic Kingdom,
• 11:49
Speaker 2: and like, people pay thousands of dollars for this and
• 11:52
Speaker 2: I'm just nonchalantly running walking through the Magic Kingdom and
• 11:56
Speaker 2: here he is playing Tiny Dancer.
• 11:59
  Speaker 4: That's fantasy.
• 11:59
Speaker 3: I always wondered why those people look so sad and
• 12:02
Speaker 3: vacant during Christmas parades, and now that I know they're
• 12:05
Speaker 3: taping it before Thanksgiving, Like, I don't know about you.
• 12:08
Speaker 3: I don't get into the Christmas spirit till after Thanksgiving,
• 12:10
Speaker 3: like these people who were like pro Christmas, like the
• 12:14
Speaker 3: day after Halloween. I don't get that, Like, no, no, no,
• 12:18
Speaker 3: let me get a little bit old up. I got
• 12:20
Speaker 3: to get my Thanksgiving meal in me before I really
• 12:22
Speaker 3: get into the Christmas spirits.
• 12:23
Speaker 2: I am a big time Christmas guy, but yeah, I
• 12:27
Speaker 2: am with you. It's the day after Thanksgiving where like
• 12:31
Speaker 2: Christmas tree grows up, goes up, and obviously because of
• 12:33
Speaker 2: the allergies, we do not do a normal Christmas tree
• 12:36
Speaker 2: because I'm lame artificial. My friend also not a fire housard.
• 12:41
Speaker 2: Thank God. That's the firefighter in me. But yeah, now
• 12:46
Speaker 2: I in the day after Thanksgiving is when the when
• 12:48
Speaker 2: the Christmas spirit starts with me. But it's getting there.
• 12:51
Speaker 2: I've been I'm not gonna lie. I have been listening
• 12:53
Speaker 2: to a little bit of Christmas music here and there.
• 12:56
Speaker 4: Yeah, it hit me.
• 12:57
Speaker 3: Tuesday, went to physical therapy. By the way, cleared to
• 13:00
  Speaker 3: return to work.
• 13:01
Speaker 4: On Monday, let's go.
• 13:05
Speaker 3: But Tuesday, I'm in physical therapy and they were playing
• 13:08
Speaker 3: a prank on my therapist because my physical therapist is
• 13:12
Speaker 3: kind of like the basically he's the Grinch of the
• 13:15
Speaker 3: of the clinic. So he actually got through the same time,
• 13:19
Speaker 3: like five minutes after I did. And when I walked in,
• 13:21
Speaker 3: I got on EIDs Mike and I listen and they
• 13:23
Speaker 3: have nothing but Christmas music playing. And I mean not
• 13:27
Speaker 3: even the upbeat stuff like the bing Crosby's White Christmas
• 13:30
Speaker 3: and you know, the slow tempo stuff. And I'm like,
• 13:34
Speaker 3: I can't be doing therapy to this slow of music.
• 13:36
Speaker 3: This will actually put me to sleep. And then I
• 13:38
Speaker 3: found out they were pranking my therapist because he's such
• 13:42
Speaker 3: a grinch, that all the girls got together to just
• 13:45
Speaker 3: like basically they put up the Christmas tree. They had
• 13:47
Speaker 3: a girl and they're painting the Christmas decor scene on
• 13:51
Speaker 3: the front window they're playing. He just walked in and
• 13:55
Speaker 3: looked around, and I swear to God that he was
• 13:56
Speaker 3: gonna walk back out because he was that irritated. And
• 13:58
Speaker 3: then they all just started laughing at them, and thank
• 14:01
Speaker 3: god they changed the music, because it is really hard
• 14:04
Speaker 3: to be on the station your bike for fifteen minutes
• 14:06
Speaker 3: listening to Bing Crosby and those guys sing really slow
• 14:10
  Speaker 3: Christmas songs.
• 14:11
Speaker 2: Yeah. No, that is not a pump up gym at all.
• 14:14
Speaker 2: That is not like listen putting the Black Eyed Peas
• 14:16
Speaker 2: in your headphones. S I have to train. Just freaking
• 14:19
  Speaker 2: out right, man.
• 14:20
  Speaker 4: I told them.
• 14:20
Speaker 3: I was like, look, IS said, I have never worn
• 14:23
Speaker 3: earbuds or air pods or anything like that into physical therapy.
• 14:26
Speaker 3: I said, but if this is the music that you
• 14:27
Speaker 3: guys are being playing for the next month and a half,
• 14:29
Speaker 3: because I still have six more visits to the therapy,
• 14:32
Speaker 3: I'm like, I will be bringing in my own headphones
• 14:34
Speaker 3: because I can't do it. I am not one of
• 14:38
Speaker 3: those those chip or happy people. At eight thirty in
• 14:41
Speaker 3: the morning, I just dropped off a child that had
• 14:44
Speaker 3: to deal with the school Line traffic. So yeah, I'm
• 14:47
Speaker 3: not in a good place that early. So I need
• 14:49
Speaker 3: some either angry music or up tempo music to get
• 14:52
  Speaker 3: my day going.
• 14:53
Speaker 2: Or a little degeneration X music because I could be
• 14:56
Speaker 2: down with that. Give me some wrestling theme music. I
• 15:00
Speaker 2: would love to see the Final Bosses the Rocks new
• 15:03
Speaker 2: theme song up on Apple Music. I always looked for that.
• 15:05
Speaker 2: There's a lot of fake versions of it, and I
• 15:09
Speaker 2: think that could be added to the playlist. So maybe maybe,
• 15:12
Speaker 2: ye know, if the Christmas music is still being played,
• 15:15
Speaker 2: you put a little motor Head in there, you put
• 15:17
Speaker 2: a little New Day maybe what's what's another song that
• 15:20
Speaker 2: gets you going? A Bailey the NXC theme.
• 15:23
Speaker 3: I did stumble across the original K Quick road Dog
• 15:27
  Speaker 3: getting rowdy jam.
• 15:29
Speaker 4: Yeah, with a little bit of to the background of it.
• 15:32
  Speaker 4: So good.
• 15:33
Speaker 2: Yeah, I remember that the now I'm looking forward right now,
• 15:36
Speaker 2: let's see if it's even on.
• 15:38
Speaker 3: I found a clip it was basically because it was
• 15:41
Speaker 3: something like twenty K Quick's debut in.
• 15:47
Speaker 2: Somebody this version. Yeah, oh it's this is the unhinged
• 15:59
Speaker 2: verse or you were saying, but it's.
• 16:03
Speaker 3: Then it's like because remember they had that whole like
• 16:05
Speaker 3: New metal wrap crossoorder really big around two thousand, So
• 16:09
Speaker 3: that's always stuff that's like in my Uh, you hit
• 16:12
Speaker 3: that certain age and your music's your music taste, just
• 16:15
  Speaker 3: lock in.
• 16:16
Speaker 4: That's in my musical genre that's locked into me.
• 16:18
Speaker 3: It's like that whole grunge into new metal hip hop
• 16:22
Speaker 3: crossover stuff from late nineties early two thousands.
• 16:25
Speaker 2: Are they were they doing something? Was that when they
• 16:29
Speaker 2: were doing the Disturbed and liked, uh, Saliva was covered
• 16:34
Speaker 2: like a Jericho song that unhinched or was that a
• 16:37
  Speaker 2: completely different album.
• 16:39
Speaker 3: That was Uh gee, I can't remember because that's when
• 16:42
Speaker 3: the Run DMC down with the Kings d X version game.
• 16:46
Speaker 2: That was the that was Aggression, right. I think that
• 16:48
  Speaker 2: album was called.
• 16:49
Speaker 3: Yeah, I think you're absolutely right, but that was in
• 16:52
Speaker 3: that timeframe, so uh, that song was out after Aggression
• 16:57
Speaker 3: because road Dog had broke away from DX and was
• 16:59
Speaker 3: going solo and then they pared him accay.
• 17:00
Speaker 2: Quick so but then he got fired.
• 17:04
Speaker 3: Yeah, but that was that same style of music. Was
• 17:06
Speaker 3: that rap rock crossover stuff.
• 17:09
Speaker 2: I had this album yep, I do too Run DMC
• 17:13
  Speaker 2: and d X.
• 17:16
Speaker 3: Which I believe if I'm not if I'm not a saken,
• 17:19
Speaker 3: that this was his favorite version of the DX songs.
• 17:23
Speaker 2: Really and I also uh for fans of rot music.
• 17:28
Speaker 2: I believe it was the last song jam Aster Jay
• 17:30
Speaker 2: Dan with run DMC before being murdered.
• 17:33
Speaker 4: Yeah, because he died shortly there after this song got released.
• 17:36
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it was uh man I later on, I
• 17:40
Speaker 2: want to bring that. I guess we're kind of like
• 17:42
Speaker 2: blended into it. I want to bring up with some
• 17:43
Speaker 2: stuff that you like miss from most about your wrestling fandom,
• 17:49
Speaker 2: and it is stuff like that like buying the albums,
• 17:51
Speaker 2: buying the video games. As part of that, I'm gonna
• 17:54
Speaker 2: pause on that. We'll get to that later on in
• 17:55
Speaker 2: the show. Let's talk about some things that are going
• 17:58
Speaker 2: on in the world professional wrestling right now. To Trey,
• 18:01
Speaker 2: the big thing from SmackDown, the OG Bloodline, Sammy's ain
• 18:05
Speaker 2: Jay So, Jimmy So Roman reigns. They have reunited. It
• 18:09
Speaker 2: partially carried over to Raw on Monday night as they
• 18:12
Speaker 2: were looking for a fifth guy. It'll be a five
• 18:14
Speaker 2: on five match OG Bloodline versus the New Bloodline, TMU Bloodline,
• 18:19
Speaker 2: Bloodline two point zero, whatever you want to call them,
• 18:22
Speaker 2: in the War Games match. We've been critical of this build,
• 18:28
Speaker 2: how they were going to get there. They got a
• 18:30
Speaker 2: gigantic pop on Friday night, Doctor Trey. Did you like
• 18:34
Speaker 2: how they got Sammy z Ain back into the fold
• 18:36
Speaker 2: with the og bloodline?
• 18:40
Speaker 4: I mean, I'm happy they're all back together.
• 18:43
Speaker 3: I do still feel like it's a little rushed and
• 18:47
Speaker 3: a little bit of water under the bridge.
• 18:49
Speaker 4: Too quick for me.
• 18:50
Speaker 3: I mean, the Sammy Roman stuff was so brutal and
• 18:54
Speaker 3: violent at times, and you know, all that stuff like
• 18:59
Speaker 3: to let it slide, I'd buy within a couple of
• 19:01
Speaker 3: weeks seems a bit far fetched, even this stuff, I mean,
• 19:05
Speaker 3: Jay's breakup I mean with Jimmy was pretty bad. I mean,
• 19:09
Speaker 3: Jimmy interfered in so many matches lead against WrestleMania. It
• 19:13
Speaker 3: just seems like the forgiveness factor is is pretty quick.
• 19:17
Speaker 3: But then again, I don't come from a family where
• 19:21
Speaker 3: we forgive very easily, Like if one of us gets
• 19:24
Speaker 3: makes you mad, we're mad for years.
• 19:29
Speaker 4: Like it takes forever for our family to go for stuff.
• 19:32
Speaker 3: Maybe some moments are a little bit more you know,
• 19:35
Speaker 3: forgiving than I previously thought, but you know, it's it
• 19:40
Speaker 3: just makes me feel kind of like that they're just letting,
• 19:44
Speaker 3: like letting bygones be bygones a little too quickly to
• 19:47
Speaker 3: be this happy together. But you still see this some
• 19:50
Speaker 3: of the at least they're leaving some of the tension
• 19:52
Speaker 3: there between Sammy and Jimmy and Sammy and Roman, because
• 19:57
Speaker 3: that makes the most sense to me, because Sammy's breakup
• 19:59
Speaker 3: with them was the most you know, I guess violent
• 20:02
Speaker 3: or disheartening part of the whole Bloodline breakup originally.
• 20:06
Speaker 2: Anyway, the thing that bothered I agree with you, I
• 20:10
Speaker 2: think it was it's it's been rush but it's like
• 20:13
Speaker 2: one of those things where it's like we talk about
• 20:16
Speaker 2: the slow burn. We love it, but can we forgive
• 20:20
Speaker 2: when they rush through things and when it's like things
• 20:23
Speaker 2: that you want to see, like a reunion the og
• 20:25
Speaker 2: blood Line is is a reunion I want to see
• 20:27
Speaker 2: in professional wrestling, and I'm like very split on it.
• 20:31
Speaker 2: I would have liked that Sammy Zane joined rejoined forces
• 20:35
Speaker 2: with a Bloodline in that opening segment. If Roman reigns
• 20:38
Speaker 2: apologized to Jay right that to me, if you do
• 20:43
Speaker 2: that right then and there, then maybe have like Solo
• 20:47
Speaker 2: come out interrupt it, and there's this weird quasis always
• 20:50
Speaker 2: the ins arial the save Solos, thinking that Samy's going
• 20:55
Speaker 2: to be part of their team. It's like, I don't know.
• 20:58
Speaker 2: I mean, WW has been so good and they're doing
• 21:01
Speaker 2: such a good job with a lot of fus right
• 21:02
Speaker 2: now Orton and Kevin Owens and then Cody's in the
• 21:05
Speaker 2: background of that, Bronson Reed and Seth Rollins. Even the
• 21:09
Speaker 2: stuff for the Final Testament and Why It's six has
• 21:11
Speaker 2: been really good. It's like this is one of the
• 21:14
Speaker 2: major focal points and it's like they're they're hitting it
• 21:18
Speaker 2: out of the park, but they're leaving me wanting more
• 21:20
Speaker 2: because it's been rushed. Uh. And it's just like there
• 21:24
Speaker 2: was such bad blood when when Sammy Zane left the
• 21:27
Speaker 2: bloodline that all of a sudden because Jays like, I
• 21:32
Speaker 2: don't know, it's different, like you should be there that
• 21:35
Speaker 2: it's okay, It's just it's leaving me wanting more, not
• 21:39
Speaker 2: to try. I love the moment at the end of
• 21:41
Speaker 2: the show, but I'm like, man, I need a little
• 21:43
Speaker 2: bit more to this and maybe they can salvage that
• 21:46
Speaker 2: on a couple episodes of SmackDown heading into War Games.
• 21:50
Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean to me, like like when you said
• 21:52
Speaker 3: they're you know, they're hitting out of the park, but
• 21:54
Speaker 3: to me, it's like they're hitting out of the park,
• 21:55
Speaker 3: but it's home run Derby. You know, this is not
• 21:58
Speaker 3: Freddie Freeman Grand Slam bomba the ninth.
• 22:01
  Speaker 4: You know.
• 22:01
Speaker 3: It's like, yeah, they're getting out of the park, but
• 22:04
Speaker 3: it's most because it's wind assistance, because we want it
• 22:07
Speaker 3: to happen, not so much because they're making us want
• 22:12
Speaker 3: it to happen. I guess that makes sense. Like it's
• 22:14
Speaker 3: it's like, we want to get there anyway. We just
• 22:17
Speaker 3: want to get there. We don't care how we get there,
• 22:19
Speaker 3: we just want to get there. I think the fifth
• 22:23
Speaker 3: member angle will be pretty interesting leading into wargames and
• 22:25
Speaker 3: how they how they work this out.
• 22:28
Speaker 4: But we've seen it so many times before.
• 22:29
Speaker 3: It like we all wanted the Shield to get back together,
• 22:32
Speaker 3: and those guys literally beat the hell out of each other.
• 22:35
Speaker 3: I mean not so much Roman and Ambrose, but Ambrose
• 22:38
Speaker 3: and Rollin's Roman and Rollins. Those guys beat the hell
• 22:41
Speaker 3: each other and then they get back together, and we're like, yeah,
• 22:43
Speaker 3: we just want them to get back together.
• 22:44
Speaker 4: We kind of overlooked, you.
• 22:46
Speaker 3: Know, all the brutality, like Rollin stumped Ambrose's head into
• 22:51
Speaker 3: a cinder block at one point, and then it was
• 22:53
Speaker 3: like six months later, they're tagging together again.
• 22:55
Speaker 4: It's like, yeah, we kind of overlook stuff if it's
• 22:58
  Speaker 4: convenient for uh.
• 23:00
Speaker 3: I mean, it's one of those things that we can
• 23:02
Speaker 3: go back years later and kind of go, I wish
• 23:04
Speaker 3: they could have built it longer. So in the moment,
• 23:06
Speaker 3: I think we all could agree, like I wish this
• 23:08
Speaker 3: bill that started maybe a month earlier, and at least
• 23:13
Speaker 3: there would be a little more depth to the build.
• 23:15
Speaker 3: But at the end of the day, we all just
• 23:17
Speaker 3: want this to happen, so I don't think we care
• 23:19
  Speaker 3: how it's happening.
• 23:20
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's what That's how I feel about. It's like, oh, man,
• 23:23
Speaker 2: I sound hypocritical, but it's like, yeah, no, I want
• 23:27
Speaker 2: it to happen, so I'm happy it's happening. I just
• 23:30
Speaker 2: wish I wish the build was a little bit better.
• 23:33
Speaker 2: And that's the other part of this entire story right
• 23:36
Speaker 2: now is this fifth guy angle, which I thought they
• 23:39
Speaker 2: would have gone four on four. I think from Solo's standpoint,
• 23:44
Speaker 2: I would imagine and you've got Hiccoleo reportedly on you
• 23:49
Speaker 2: know the roster, this is the time that you bring
• 23:52
Speaker 2: him on into the og bloodline. There were some rumblings
• 23:55
Speaker 2: that he may end up on an XT brand, which
• 23:59
Speaker 2: didn't make a lot of sense to me, Like, okay,
• 24:02
Speaker 2: maybe you go to the Hiccolo route, the og bloodline.
• 24:05
Speaker 2: I don't know who the fit is, Like, is it
• 24:08
Speaker 2: is it Seth? Like? Does Seth go down the path
• 24:11
Speaker 2: of of Sammy Zain? Is there is there anyone else
• 24:16
Speaker 2: that could go side by side here? Does do we
• 24:19
Speaker 2: throw out the wild card in this entire thing? Does
• 24:21
Speaker 2: the Final Boss make a return to Survivor series and
• 24:25
Speaker 2: tag with one of these teams?
• 24:27
  Speaker 4: Like?
• 24:27
Speaker 2: What is the angle that w could play? There? Doctory
• 24:30
Speaker 2: with the fifth guy?
• 24:32
Speaker 3: So I think the obvious things are either as going
• 24:34
Speaker 3: to be like Cody. I mean, it's gonna be Seth
• 24:38
Speaker 3: and Bronson because it helps.
• 24:40
  Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a good point.
• 24:42
Speaker 3: I know Bronson's Australian, but dear God, Jeff, that man
• 24:45
  Speaker 3: looks Samoan.
• 24:47
Speaker 4: He looks like he fits in with those guys.
• 24:50
Speaker 3: And then you get the deception or the cross pro
• 24:54
Speaker 3: the cross shield stuff with Roman and Seth and you
• 24:57
Speaker 3: know their distrust and all that stuff. You can line
• 25:00
Speaker 3: that up, you could line up in a sense I
• 25:03
Speaker 3: would be I would love to see Randy and Ko
• 25:07
Speaker 3: get factored into this and Ko decides, you know, like
• 25:11
Speaker 3: they like you know, Pierce and all this are peer
• 25:14
Speaker 3: or all. This just throws Ko into in with the
• 25:17
Speaker 3: OG bloodline because at the end of the day, Ko
• 25:20
Speaker 3: still wants revenge on Roman in the blood line. So
• 25:22
Speaker 3: if he teams with Solo and the other three some
• 25:25
Speaker 3: moments who he doesn't have an issue with, and then
• 25:28
Speaker 3: you have the cross of Randy signing with the OG bloodline,
• 25:32
Speaker 3: who cost him eighteen months of his career, Like, there
• 25:35
Speaker 3: are some angles in here where you're like, man, this
• 25:38
Speaker 3: could play out and be pretty cool. I still think
• 25:41
Speaker 3: there's gonna like Randy and Ko will be off on
• 25:43
Speaker 3: their own thing and we'll get Seth and Bronson. But
• 25:46
Speaker 3: Cody and Roman teamed up a couple of months ago,
• 25:48
Speaker 3: so you can always throw Cody and Ko into this mix,
• 25:50
Speaker 3: or Cody in the Final Boss if they went that route.
• 25:53
Speaker 4: So there are some intriguing angles to play with this.
• 25:59
Speaker 3: That would look really kind of at the end of
• 26:01
Speaker 3: the day, for me, would make Kevin look like he's right,
• 26:04
Speaker 3: like his T shirt said on SmackDown.
• 26:07
Speaker 2: Do you think they would go to Kevin Owens route
• 26:10
Speaker 2: just because that would make him look like such a hypocrite.
• 26:13
Speaker 3: Not really, because he does it if he's on Solo's team,
• 26:17
Speaker 3: he does his issues more with the USOS and Roman
• 26:20
Speaker 3: than it ever was with Solo, and he doesn't have
• 26:23
Speaker 3: an issue with Jacob. I mean, I guess a little
• 26:25
Speaker 3: bit when they when the new Bloodline showed up and
• 26:28
Speaker 3: they were taking out Cody, Him and Randy, well.
• 26:31
Speaker 2: Yeah that was the three on three matches.
• 26:33
Speaker 3: Yeah, so I guess I guess in a sense it
• 26:35
Speaker 3: would make him hypociral. So that that's why I like,
• 26:37
Speaker 3: I saw somebody talk about that. I was like, well,
• 26:39
Speaker 3: I guess it would make sense on one level, and
• 26:41
Speaker 3: I love the cross of Randy having to side with
• 26:44
Speaker 3: Roman and the USOS who literally did take him out
• 26:48
Speaker 3: for eighteen months. But it also if you factor in Ko,
• 26:52
Speaker 3: you have Ko against Sammy in that match as well,
• 26:57
Speaker 3: So that leads into the Kevin Owens conspiracy of like
• 26:59
Speaker 3: every bud is like it was Ko who helped rescue
• 27:03
Speaker 3: Sammy from the Bloodline for Sammy to go back to
• 27:07
Speaker 3: the bloodline. So you have all these people that you know,
• 27:10
Speaker 3: Ko try to protect or help against the bloodline and
• 27:14
Speaker 3: now they're all siding with the bloodline. So it could
• 27:17
Speaker 3: play into his conspiracy theorist angle more and more if
• 27:20
Speaker 3: they went that route.
• 27:22
Speaker 2: Is there anybody that's currently not on television regularly like
• 27:26
Speaker 2: a true McIntyre or see him punk that you could
• 27:28
Speaker 2: see injected into this one.
• 27:30
Speaker 3: I think whoever they add has to either be in
• 27:33
Speaker 3: a feud against each against somebody else, or has to
• 27:37
Speaker 3: have some kind of connection to the feud. So like
• 27:42
Speaker 3: you know, Drew McIntyre's not feuded. Anybody punks off TV,
• 27:45
Speaker 3: I mean a priest and guns are doing their own thing.
• 27:50
Speaker 3: I mean, and I don't know if anybody else is
• 27:53
Speaker 3: on the level that they want this to be on.
• 27:55
Speaker 3: Because even though the individual members of New Bloodline aren't
• 27:59
Speaker 3: house solo like I guess main event ready, they all have,
• 28:04
Speaker 3: you know, they the collective group is a main event
• 28:07
Speaker 3: group where you can look at the og Bloodline and Goo.
• 28:10
Speaker 3: I mean maybe outside of Jimmy, everybody on that team
• 28:13
Speaker 3: is a main event now, So you would have to
• 28:16
Speaker 3: factor in somebody like you couldn't do l A Night
• 28:18
Speaker 3: and Carmelo, Like, I just don't know if Carmelo's on
• 28:22
Speaker 3: that level or I'm trying to think some of the
• 28:24
Speaker 3: other mid card stuff going on right now where you.
• 28:27
Speaker 2: Didn't they tease Jimmy usso talking to Brown Breaker, i'n wraw.
• 28:31
Speaker 3: I mean, you could throw Braun into it, But then
• 28:33
Speaker 3: who do you match up on the other team? I
• 28:36
Speaker 3: guess you know, that's that's the whole thing, like, you know,
• 28:39
Speaker 3: because he's not really I mean, he was kind of
• 28:41
Speaker 3: feuding with Jimmy when he got the bet or Jay
• 28:43
Speaker 3: with you when he got the belt back, but he's
• 28:45
Speaker 3: not really feuding with anybody now. Like there's just not
• 28:49
Speaker 3: really anybody else available other than those couple of feuds
• 28:52
Speaker 3: that we mentioned right now.
• 28:53
Speaker 2: I think it's gonna be Seth and Bronton Reid.
• 28:57
Speaker 4: That makes the most sense to me.
• 28:58
Speaker 3: Yeah, so I think Ko and Randy you want to
• 29:02
Speaker 3: do their own individual thing, and I.
• 29:04
Speaker 2: Think and I think Orton's gonna be off TV for
• 29:06
Speaker 2: a little bit now selling an injury.
• 29:08
Speaker 3: But then I mean, do you do does Cody get
• 29:10
Speaker 3: asked and then Ko gets added to counteract.
• 29:13
Speaker 4: The Cody that could be?
• 29:15
Speaker 2: I think that is. I think one would be Rollins
• 29:17
Speaker 2: and Bronson Reid, two would be Cody and Kevin Owens.
• 29:22
Speaker 2: Three it would be like hic Leo and the Rock
• 29:27
  Speaker 2: or something.
• 29:28
Speaker 4: Same Seamous and Bronson breakers. I think that's the that's
• 29:31
  Speaker 4: they just had.
• 29:31
Speaker 2: A match in Speed Seamous and Pete Dunn.
• 29:34
Speaker 4: Yeah, well done. Now with the New Day thing, I
• 29:37
Speaker 4: guess a little bit.
• 29:38
  Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I guess. I I think it's I think
• 29:42
  Speaker 2: that they've I think it's Seth. I think it's Seth
• 29:45
Speaker 2: and Bronson. Reid is the fifth guys.
• 29:47
Speaker 3: Yeah, because I think you want to you want to
• 29:49
Speaker 3: save Cody and Ko for I guess it'd be rumble.
• 29:54
Speaker 2: I think they're gonna do it at Saturday Night's main event.
• 29:57
Speaker 4: Maybe, But I just figured I don't know that they
• 29:59
Speaker 4: could do it a Survivor series.
• 30:01
Speaker 3: If you're doing this crazy build like Cody's got to fight,
• 30:04
Speaker 3: I think, and I don't know how you leave Cody.
• 30:06
Speaker 4: Off of Survivor series. He's got to get factored in somehow.
• 30:10
Speaker 2: They leave World Champions off. I hear you they could
• 30:14
Speaker 2: get away with it being Maybe they do Ko and
• 30:17
Speaker 2: Cody on that one. I mean they do it. They
• 30:20
Speaker 2: they will sit out World Champions on feuds or excuse me,
• 30:23
  Speaker 2: on pl e's and not have a feud. I don't
• 30:26
Speaker 2: think they could do that with Cody being the guy,
• 30:28
Speaker 2: but maybe they do.
• 30:31
Speaker 3: Yeah, it's gonna be I mean with the Netflix stuff
• 30:33
Speaker 3: starts up with the first of January.
• 30:35
Speaker 2: Yeah, January sixth, I think so.
• 30:38
  Speaker 4: Yeah.
• 30:38
Speaker 3: So I was like, well, you know, maybe they're leaving
• 30:40
Speaker 3: in Cody off because they're gonna do something for them.
• 30:42
Speaker 4: But it was like, that's too far down the road.
• 30:45
Speaker 3: I know they leave the raw. I always get the
• 30:49
Speaker 3: title names mixed up. There's the World Heavyweight Champion and
• 30:51
Speaker 3: then the world Champion. Is that where we have now.
• 30:54
Speaker 2: World Hevyweight Champion and undisputed WE Champion.
• 30:58
Speaker 3: I guess I still go through on some champions, So,
• 31:01
Speaker 3: I mean, I know the tip they have been leaving
• 31:03
Speaker 3: the raw World Champion off of shows because.
• 31:06
Speaker 4: It's kind of I guess in their minds the B title.
• 31:09
Speaker 3: But it's really hard to leave your top baby face
• 31:12
  Speaker 3: off a plan.
• 31:14
Speaker 2: I agree. So people are buying tickets to c Cody
• 31:17
Speaker 2: Roads partially so a major part honestly switching gears Dot Trae.
• 31:22
Speaker 2: We talked about this story about a couple of months
• 31:25
Speaker 2: ago now, and we figured this was potentially gonna happen
• 31:28
Speaker 2: once they announced the women's NXC North American Championship during
• 31:32
Speaker 2: WRESTLEMINGI weekend during standon. Liver thought that this was gonna
• 31:36
Speaker 2: be foregone conclusion that would happen right away, and it didn't,
• 31:38
Speaker 2: and then I started being skeptical. I'm like, oh, maybe
• 31:40
Speaker 2: they're not going to do it. Then, Nick all This
• 31:42
Speaker 2: announced it on Friday's edition of SmackDown when he revealed
• 31:46
Speaker 2: that the Women's United States Championship will be a title
• 31:50
Speaker 2: on the SmackDown brand going forward. They did not introduce
• 31:53
Speaker 2: a Women's Intercontinental Championship on the Raw brand yet, but
• 31:56
Speaker 2: I would assume that is coming. Dot trae your thoughts
• 31:59
Speaker 2: as in now the first time ever in WI, there
• 32:02
Speaker 2: will be a secondary mid card, upper mid card, whatever
• 32:06
Speaker 2: you want to call it, women's championship on the SmackDown brand.
• 32:12
Speaker 3: Not a huge fan of it at this moment, mainly
• 32:16
Speaker 3: because you're announcing it on the brand that maybe has
• 32:18
Speaker 3: the weakest women's roster of your three brands. I think
• 32:23
Speaker 3: NXT is a stronger women's division, and I think Raw
• 32:25
Speaker 3: has a stronger women's division than SmackDown. So not a
• 32:29
  Speaker 3: huge fan of it because it's just it's I don't
• 32:32
Speaker 3: know about you, Jeff, it's starting to feel a little
• 32:34
Speaker 3: bit awish with all these title belts appearing now.
• 32:40
Speaker 4: To me, if you're gonna do this, then you need
• 32:41
  Speaker 4: to do.
• 32:41
Speaker 3: Like an all women's show, because just the depth on
• 32:46
Speaker 3: the SmackDown roster and even the depth on the raw
• 32:48
Speaker 3: roster's just some degree isn't what it needs to be.
• 32:53
Speaker 2: It's basically how NXT's doing it is what it needs
• 32:55
  Speaker 2: to be.
• 32:56
Speaker 3: Yeah, and it's just like it's to me, there's trying
• 33:00
Speaker 3: to fit everything into two hours when you got a
• 33:02
Speaker 3: lot of a lot of talent, as tricky as it is,
• 33:05
Speaker 3: and then now it's just be like, okay, it's we're
• 33:08
Speaker 3: just fighting over this title that no, you don't really
• 33:11
Speaker 3: feel like anybody is getting a bill to We're gonna
• 33:12
Speaker 3: have random like six way Gauntlet battle royal matches to
• 33:16
Speaker 3: become a new number contender for the women's US title,
• 33:19
Speaker 3: although you know eventually the women's Intercontinental title, to me
• 33:22
Speaker 3: is just it just feel like an unnecessary title belt
• 33:24
Speaker 3: when you haven't really built up that division. Now, in time,
• 33:29
Speaker 3: when the NXT women graduate up to the main roster
• 33:32
Speaker 3: and you have way more depth, it'll be fine. I
• 33:35
Speaker 3: just feel like right now maybe not the best time
• 33:37
Speaker 3: because we really don't even have a strong contender for NYA,
• 33:42
Speaker 3: and we're looking at adding a secondary belt for a
• 33:45
Speaker 3: part of the division that really doesn't have any depth
• 33:47
Speaker 3: to it right now.
• 33:49
Speaker 2: You know what's what's interesting, Doctor Trey, is I feel
• 33:52
Speaker 2: like WWE is setting themselves up for the brand to
• 33:58
Speaker 2: gain an hour on smack Down. That has been the rumblings,
• 34:02
Speaker 2: and I think that this move triggers that. And the
• 34:06
Speaker 2: word on the street is once SmackDown expands at three hours,
• 34:10
Speaker 2: Raw goes back to three hours on Netflix, you're going
• 34:14
Speaker 2: to see more wrestlers from the NXC brand added to
• 34:17
Speaker 2: Raw and SmackDown, which makes sense as to why they're
• 34:21
Speaker 2: building up the NXC women's division right now is to
• 34:23
Speaker 2: eventually supplement Raw and SmackDown. If that is the case,
• 34:28
Speaker 2: and if that is the theory and the thought behind
• 34:30
Speaker 2: it all, does that change your mind whatsoever? Yeah?
• 34:34
  Speaker 3: I mean if everybody's getting if everybody's getting a full
• 34:37
Speaker 3: extra hour, like Raw stays at three, SmackDown goes at three,
• 34:41
Speaker 3: and then you need some pieces brought up. Yeah, then
• 34:43
Speaker 3: it makes sense. And that's what I was saying, Like
• 34:44
Speaker 3: introducing it now is a little weird. Maybe I would
• 34:47
Speaker 3: have saved it for New Year's like after January when
• 34:50
Speaker 3: everything's settled that everybody's getting the extra hour, I would
• 34:53
Speaker 3: be better with it just right now. When you look
• 34:55
Speaker 3: at that roster and you're like, you see the people
• 34:57
Speaker 3: like jumping in, like, oh, that looks pretty I want
• 34:59
Speaker 3: to shot that belt. You've got the Natalians and the Meechins,
• 35:02
Speaker 3: and you know, the only obsct for me is, hey,
• 35:04
Speaker 3: maybe Chelsea Green gets a run with a title, like
• 35:07
Speaker 3: I love Chelsea Green. So but like when you're like, oh,
• 35:09
Speaker 3: it's Natalia and you know the Meechins of the world
• 35:13
Speaker 3: that are like, you know, is anybody excited about a
• 35:17
Speaker 3: meech in Natalia US Women's title match?
• 35:20
Speaker 4: Maybe the Purests, But I think a.
• 35:22
Speaker 2: Lot of it. I think you could get there because
• 35:24
Speaker 2: I think NXC is showing the blueprint and they only
• 35:26
Speaker 2: have two hours and they're getting it done.
• 35:29
Speaker 3: Yeah, but they're they're doing the right thing. They're staggering
• 35:32
Speaker 3: their belts on opposite shows. So it's like, what a
• 35:35
Speaker 3: week will feature these couple titles, the next week will
• 35:37
Speaker 3: feature these couple titles, And that's great, and that's the
• 35:39
Speaker 3: way they want to do it.
• 35:40
Speaker 4: I'm fine with that too, But I think that's.
• 35:43
Speaker 2: The way that like every professional wrestling organization should be
• 35:47
Speaker 2: doing these shows from aw to any show in we
• 35:50
Speaker 2: like feature NXC Title North Women's North American Title tag
• 35:54
Speaker 2: team titles this week, and then in a week or
• 35:56
Speaker 2: two weeks then you feature the other ones.
• 35:59
Speaker 3: Yeah, and it gets your guys time off to kind
• 36:01
Speaker 3: of recover as well too. I think that's where they're
• 36:03
Speaker 3: going towards at some point. But to introduce it now
• 36:06
Speaker 3: when I think most fans could probably name off four
• 36:10
  Speaker 3: SmackDown women's wrestlers, maybe five, I'll go five. I don't
• 36:17
Speaker 3: know if it's the right time to inters it now
• 36:19
Speaker 3: when you really haven't belt built up the middle and
• 36:22
Speaker 3: bottom of that division yet, because they're like right now,
• 36:24
Speaker 3: I'm just like, yeah, it's a pretty belt.
• 36:27
Speaker 4: What are we doing with it?
• 36:28
Speaker 3: Because like I said, I got I know, Bailey, Naomi, Naya, Tiffany,
• 36:32
Speaker 3: and Mechen those are the five. Okay, Cannis makes six,
• 36:37
Speaker 3: So okay, we got six. Like that's about all I
• 36:40
Speaker 3: a name. So you got the different women, the tag
• 36:43
Speaker 3: teams that are floating around, you know. But I mean
• 36:47
Speaker 3: if four months from now, like I'm getting a Caden
• 36:50
Speaker 3: Carter Women's intern Continental title run and she's got some
• 36:53
Speaker 3: depth to that yeah, great, Katana Chance, Yeah, there's some
• 36:56
  Speaker 3: talent there.
• 36:57
Speaker 4: They just really haven't built.
• 36:58
Speaker 3: Up that bottom because you and I have said for
• 37:01
Speaker 3: two years and kind of bitched to moan about the
• 37:04
Speaker 3: women's tag team division not really being focused on and
• 37:08
Speaker 3: even now you got Bianca and Jade, and you've got
• 37:10
Speaker 3: these other tag teams, but I think for the most part,
• 37:12
Speaker 3: none of us feel like they're on the level of
• 37:13
Speaker 3: Beyonca and Jade. So you have talent in the tag
• 37:17
Speaker 3: division that you can supplement it with. At some point,
• 37:21
Speaker 3: you're getting Oscar back as well, which I'm sure she'll
• 37:23
Speaker 3: get into a damage control.
• 37:24
Speaker 4: But you have some people.
• 37:26
Speaker 3: Charlotte's going to be back. I'm sure at some point,
• 37:28
Speaker 3: Becky'll be back. You know those people that when they
• 37:31
Speaker 3: come back and then they have to push some of
• 37:33
Speaker 3: the other talent down to the mid card, then you'll
• 37:36
Speaker 3: get some better storrelines. But tenners are now when, like
• 37:38
Speaker 3: I said, the casual fake it maybe name six women
• 37:41
Speaker 3: on SmackDown just doesn't make a ton.
• 37:43
Speaker 4: Of sense to me.
• 37:44
Speaker 2: We'll see, we'll see where things go from here. One
• 37:47
Speaker 2: of my biggest scripes is also been on the main roster.
• 37:50
Speaker 2: We're on SmackDown the tag team divisions, and they seem
• 37:54
Speaker 2: to be given in a pretty good college try with
• 37:58
Speaker 2: the Motor City Machine on the roster right now, so
• 38:01
Speaker 2: maybe there are some hope for the women's division and
• 38:03
Speaker 2: Lisa on SmackDown to be elevated a little bit more
• 38:06
Speaker 2: with the Women's United States Championship being added to the brand.
• 38:10
Speaker 2: So we'll keep it on that as the year goes
• 38:12
Speaker 2: on here and we get into twenty twenty five as well.
• 38:16
Speaker 2: Speaking of we doctor trains. Speaking of storylines, want to
• 38:19
Speaker 2: see more storylines and the Women's division storylines and the
• 38:22
Speaker 2: tag team divisions. There's a lot of great storylines going
• 38:25
Speaker 2: on outside of those divisions right now. Brought some reed
• 38:30
Speaker 2: seth rollins Randy Orton, Kevin Owens slash Cody Rose, anything
• 38:34
Speaker 2: with the OG versus New Blood line. Which storylines are
• 38:39
Speaker 2: the ones that are topping it for you right now?
• 38:42
Speaker 2: Because I feel like everything is getting going really, really
• 38:46
Speaker 2: well and it's like this could be something in December
• 38:50
Speaker 2: for Saturay Night's main event if they air a couple
• 38:52
Speaker 2: of these matches. These are matches I could get behind
• 38:55
Speaker 2: as a fan because the build has been so damn good.
• 38:57
Speaker 3: The KO Randy stuff for me is so interesting and
• 39:01
Speaker 3: the way they're doing it, and plus Randy just looks
• 39:03
Speaker 3: like a monster right now. I wish we'd get that
• 39:07
Speaker 3: Randy Orton brock Lesner match from SummerSlam twenty fourteen back now,
• 39:11
Speaker 3: because I think that Randy looks like you could what
• 39:14
Speaker 3: brocks ass. But that whole angle that feued the pile
• 39:18
Speaker 3: driver's spot, like I loved it because like I grew
• 39:21
Speaker 3: up on pile drivers, and then I remember when they
• 39:23
Speaker 3: got banned. So I actually see a piled ever spot
• 39:26
Speaker 3: with a Randy Orton, knowing his neck injury history, I
• 39:29
Speaker 3: thought was really really well done. That's top of my list.
• 39:33
Speaker 3: And plus everybody wants to listen to the show knows
• 39:35
Speaker 3: what a huge mark I am for Kevin owns a
• 39:37
Speaker 3: Randy Orton. Anyway, og Bloodline, New Bloodline, that's really good.
• 39:45
Speaker 3: Sammy mcinroman try to apologize for Jay and Jay's you
• 39:47
Speaker 3: know the apology being like I'm sorry I made you
• 39:49
Speaker 3: put up with this guy. I mean that was great,
• 39:52
Speaker 3: but you got the feel good spot at the end.
• 39:56
Speaker 3: I still I actually went back and watched some of
• 39:58
Speaker 3: the stuff with Jay and ProMag. I mean, you know,
• 40:01
Speaker 3: Jay calling out, like why'd you bring him in? Why'd
• 40:03
Speaker 3: you go get Tomo, why'd you go get Taga, why'd
• 40:05
Speaker 3: you go get Jacob? Like there's a reason why we
• 40:07
Speaker 3: the whole family where you didn't want Jacob if he
• 40:10
Speaker 3: keeps looking me this way, but to punch his teeth
• 40:12
  Speaker 3: out his throat.
• 40:13
Speaker 4: Love that stuff Seth and Bronson is really good when
• 40:18
  Speaker 4: I didn't.
• 40:18
Speaker 3: Think it needed to be this good, Like I don't
• 40:22
Speaker 3: know if you if I could have thought that Seth
• 40:25
Speaker 3: and Bronson could have a compelling.
• 40:27
Speaker 2: Feud Seth, Seth has elevated Bronson. Yes, yeah, he did,
• 40:31
Speaker 2: and Bronson redeserves it, and I'm very very happy for him.
• 40:35
Speaker 3: Yeah, and even like the Wyatt Final Testma stuff with
• 40:39
Speaker 3: the Miz added into it has been really good, especially
• 40:42
Speaker 3: the fact that they're going back to the storyline from
• 40:45
Speaker 3: the eight or from the B Squad or the B teams. Yes,
• 40:50
Speaker 3: you know, and then and then he broke away, you know.
• 40:53
Speaker 3: I mean I'd love to see Bisz like somehow bring
• 40:56
Speaker 3: Curtis Axel into this because I think he's still in
• 40:58
  Speaker 3: the rubble.
• 40:58
  Speaker 2: I think that's happening. I think that's happening.
• 41:01
Speaker 3: So but like that angle, you know, with carrying cross
• 41:04
Speaker 3: dragging miss out, only to have the rest of the
• 41:07
Speaker 3: testamen jump the why It's like just actually see some
• 41:10
Speaker 3: vulnerability in the y at six and something we've talked about,
• 41:13
Speaker 3: like how do you book a group like this to
• 41:16
  Speaker 3: have sympathy?
• 41:18
Speaker 4: And they were able to pull it off. And I
• 41:21
Speaker 4: think that's been really well done.
• 41:24
Speaker 3: I'm not feeling Gunther and uh Damien right now, and
• 41:28
  Speaker 3: I think it's.
• 41:29
Speaker 2: I think it's too early to tell on that one.
• 41:31
Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's the it's the Gunther respect angle. I
• 41:35
Speaker 3: want Gunher to be ruthless and maybe that's what they end.
• 41:39
Speaker 4: Up going that way. This is all you want him
• 41:41
Speaker 4: to be a prick, yes, and it maybe it's all.
• 41:44
Speaker 3: I wanted to be, an arrogant like I'm just better
• 41:46
Speaker 3: than everybody else. And the fact that he can back
• 41:49
Speaker 3: it up like like you know, all out of the
• 41:51
  Speaker 3: old school triple.
• 41:52
  Speaker 4: H in a sense.
• 41:52
Speaker 3: But and then under the radar a little bit, a
• 41:57
Speaker 3: little bit of sent between Finn and Dom I like
• 42:00
  Speaker 3: that as well.
• 42:01
Speaker 4: That was pretty well done.
• 42:02
Speaker 2: I would say, I'm really enjoying Bronson Reid and Seth
• 42:06
Speaker 2: rollins Orton and Kevin Owens. I would say my under
• 42:10
Speaker 2: the radar. One that I'm starting to dig is it's
• 42:13
Speaker 2: not necessarily like a feud or anything like that, but
• 42:16
Speaker 2: it is the inclusion of Candice Lray into the NIA
• 42:21
Speaker 2: Jacks Tiffany Stratton dynamic because I'm a fan of canisl
• 42:24
Speaker 2: Ray and I like that she's getting this opportunity. I'm like, hm,
• 42:27
Speaker 2: that's interesting. I wonder where this goes, and I feel
• 42:29
Speaker 2: like that is a slow burn that is benefiting Canisl Ray.
• 42:33
Speaker 2: So those are some of the ones that I'm enjoying
• 42:35
Speaker 2: right now. Bronson Reid Seth Rollins is probably my favorite
• 42:39
Speaker 2: Orton and Owens is next. And then just like this
• 42:42
Speaker 2: is under the radar, Like one that I'm intrigued by
• 42:46
Speaker 2: is this Cancel Ray inclusion in the NIA Jacks and
• 42:49
  Speaker 2: Tiffany Stratton friendship.
• 42:52
Speaker 3: The chomp is stuff also from last week's SmackDown I
• 42:54
Speaker 3: thought was really good too, like, oh yeah, psychotic Chomper,
• 42:58
Speaker 3: I think like and then you know, I actually really
• 43:01
Speaker 3: did like Heel Gargano, you know, in the way you know,
• 43:04
Speaker 3: the way from NXT.
• 43:05
  Speaker 4: So if d I Y goes Heel in this, I
• 43:09
Speaker 4: think I'll be on board.
• 43:10
  Speaker 3: I mean, anytime you get d I Y and most
• 43:12
Speaker 3: of machine guns in a match and they get fifteen
• 43:14
Speaker 3: or twenty minutes. I mean, I don't think any of
• 43:16
Speaker 3: us will complain about that.
• 43:18
Speaker 2: What do you think about some of the dissension that's
• 43:20
Speaker 2: being teased on the street profits or at least a
• 43:22
Speaker 2: split I should say.
• 43:24
Speaker 4: I mean, they've been teasing this for what a year
• 43:26
  Speaker 4: and a.
• 43:26
Speaker 2: Half, three years? I think if Vince still had the
• 43:28
Speaker 2: creative books, Montes Vorda was going to be gone by now.
• 43:32
Speaker 2: By now with the street profits.
• 43:34
Speaker 4: If Vince was still there, Dawkins would have been released by.
• 43:36
Speaker 2: Now, probably unfortunately, and he's very, very talented.
• 43:40
Speaker 4: But he would have been tuckered.
• 43:42
Speaker 2: Yes, you'd be teaching history at some sort of random
• 43:46
  Speaker 2: school in Iowa.
• 43:47
Speaker 3: So but yeah, I mean, and then you still got
• 43:50
Speaker 3: the stuff with you know, Kofe and Xavier and are
• 43:53
Speaker 3: they ever are they actually going to break up?
• 43:55
Speaker 4: This is reminiscent of that stuff.
• 43:57
Speaker 3: I mean, it's it's funny when you have New Day
• 43:59
Speaker 3: teasing a breakup, the prophets teasing a breakup, and on
• 44:02
Speaker 3: the other show, the acclaimed possibly teasing a breakup, like
• 44:06
Speaker 3: We're gonna break up all all of our great African
• 44:08
Speaker 3: American tag teams all at one time. I mean, does
• 44:11
Speaker 3: New Day and Profits break up and you get Kofi
• 44:13
Speaker 3: and Angelo against Montes and Xavier, Like, does that possibly
• 44:18
Speaker 3: happen like cross cross mixed this this, this Street Day
• 44:22
Speaker 3: and the New Profits. I mean, I don't know what
• 44:24
Speaker 3: you do with that, but uh, it's just weird that
• 44:26
Speaker 3: it's all happening at the same time.
• 44:28
Speaker 2: Does this feel like a Wrestlemanian build, I should say
• 44:33
Speaker 2: a build towards Wrestlmanian. Does this feel like a WrestleMania
• 44:36
Speaker 2: like build for you? Because I'm like, if you start
• 44:38
Speaker 2: putting these matches on a card for a PLA, I'm
• 44:41
Speaker 2: gonna be very excited about this. Yeah.
• 44:44
Speaker 3: I mean, and we saw that a little bit, you
• 44:46
Speaker 3: know in years past, where you start teasing this stuff
• 44:48
Speaker 3: really early, Like we saw a little bit of Jimmy
• 44:50
Speaker 3: and Jay last year to lead up to their match,
• 44:54
Speaker 3: you know. So it is like, hey, if we do
• 44:57
Speaker 3: these things, and then also we also know how much
• 44:59
Speaker 3: money can they make when they finally get back together
• 45:02
Speaker 3: down the road. So true, if you have a tag
• 45:05
Speaker 3: team that maybe is struggling a little bit, you split
• 45:09
Speaker 3: them up and then you bring them back together. A
• 45:10
Speaker 3: couple of years later, everybody loves that. I mean, hell,
• 45:12
Speaker 3: I remember miss and Morrison got back together for a
• 45:14
Speaker 3: little bit. I mean that was fantastic.
• 45:15
Speaker 2: So yeah, they made a song and Doctor Trey bought
• 45:18
  Speaker 2: that song.
• 45:18
Speaker 4: I did. I was the only song on iTunes I've.
• 45:21
Speaker 2: Ever paid for Hey Hey? Was it called hey Hey? Now? Now?
• 45:24
Speaker 4: Yeah? Something like that?
• 45:25
  Speaker 2: Gar was?
• 45:27
Speaker 4: I bought it for a make of a ring tone.
• 45:30
Speaker 2: So yeah, lots of good stuff going on right now,
• 45:32
Speaker 2: storyline wise, and wee feel free to chime in. Which
• 45:35
Speaker 2: feud are you enjoying the most? Hit us up on
• 45:37
Speaker 2: Twitter at SRTU podcast or on Facebook over at facebook
• 45:40
Speaker 2: dot com. Slash story real does show That's true week.
• 45:44
Speaker 2: Cause I got into this and I was like, you
• 45:46
Speaker 2: know what, I'm coming off of a vacation week, did
• 45:49
Speaker 2: not get an opportunity to really sit down and watch
• 45:51
Speaker 2: the full shows of wrestling, watch a lot of highlights,
• 45:55
Speaker 2: read a lot of stuff. Still got to go back
• 45:57
Speaker 2: and watch a ton of shows from front to back.
• 45:59
Speaker 2: I'm like, I've been sitting on this topic for a
• 46:01
Speaker 2: while and it's something I think about often, and it's
• 46:04
Speaker 2: what do I missed most about my wrestling fandom As
• 46:07
Speaker 2: the years have gone on and like doctor Trey, I've
• 46:11
Speaker 2: been a wrestling fan nearly my whole life, and I
• 46:14
Speaker 2: immediately think back to growing up when I thought wrestling
• 46:18
Speaker 2: was quote real, and a pay per view would air
• 46:21
Speaker 2: and then the next night they would discuss the recap
• 46:25
Speaker 2: of the pay per view at the top of Monday
• 46:26
Speaker 2: Night Raw, and nine times out of ten that is
• 46:30
Speaker 2: how I found out who won a pay per view.
• 46:33
Speaker 2: It would be nearly twenty five twenty four hours later
• 46:37
Speaker 2: that I would find out who won matches, and they
• 46:40
Speaker 2: would do it in this like really cool style. Sometimes
• 46:42
Speaker 2: it would be like Todd Pett and Gale recap and
• 46:45
Speaker 2: what happened at in your house bad Blood or whatever,
• 46:49
Speaker 2: or they had that same voice that they would air
• 46:52
Speaker 2: for a lot of stuff, and I was like, man,
• 46:53
Speaker 2: I kind of missed those days where the top of
• 46:56
Speaker 2: Raw had this feel where just nostalge of recapping the
• 47:02
Speaker 2: pay per view from the night before that is one
• 47:05
Speaker 2: of them. As the conversation went on, Dot Tray, I
• 47:08
Speaker 2: would also add the custom albums and CDs that they
• 47:12
Speaker 2: would make. Foref I used to buy a lot of them.
• 47:16
Speaker 2: You obviously don't have to do that anymore because you've
• 47:18
Speaker 2: got iTunes. You've got Spotify, But I miss buying wrestling albums,
• 47:23
Speaker 2: and then, like my last one, which I think you
• 47:25
Speaker 2: and I could relate to a lot here, Dot Trey,
• 47:28
Speaker 2: I miss a good wrestling video game. It has been
• 47:32
Speaker 2: sometime since I bought a Raw Versus SmackDown or W
• 47:36
Speaker 2: two K twenty four whatever they're calling it nowadays, and
• 47:39
Speaker 2: I think the last one I legitimately bought was Raw
• 47:42
Speaker 2: Versus SmackDown. They all look the same nowadays. It's like
• 47:45
Speaker 2: the Madden theory that I have, where Madden NFL you
• 47:49
Speaker 2: would buy it every year. You don't do that anymore
• 47:51
Speaker 2: because they barely make any changes and the graphics of
• 47:54
Speaker 2: the same. It would just begin an updated roster. And
• 47:57
Speaker 2: that's kind of the feeling for wrestling video games for
• 48:00
Speaker 2: me now as well, Doctor Trey. And I guess the
• 48:03
Speaker 2: last thing in it all is just overall. When I
• 48:06
Speaker 2: thought it was real and I kind of believed what
• 48:10
Speaker 2: was going on, nowadays, it's like I'm just watching for
• 48:13
Speaker 2: athleticism and for some good feuds going on before and
• 48:18
Speaker 2: after a match. So what to you, Doctor Trey, What
• 48:21
Speaker 2: do you miss most about your wrestling fandoms the years
• 48:23
  Speaker 2: have gone on?
• 48:26
Speaker 3: For what I miss going into the stores like grocery
• 48:29
Speaker 3: stores or your Walmart or whatever and going to the
• 48:31
Speaker 3: magazine section and picking through two or three different wrestling magazines.
• 48:36
Speaker 4: And just I don't know about you. I would always go.
• 48:38
Speaker 3: To the ranking sections to see where I've got ranked,
• 48:42
Speaker 3: and also to find out about guys I may have
• 48:44
  Speaker 3: never heard of.
• 48:45
Speaker 2: Yes, Yes, was that PROG Wrestling Illustrated that would do.
• 48:48
Speaker 4: It illustrated and God was the other one there was?
• 48:52
Speaker 2: There was one that would do a monthly ranking system,
• 48:55
Speaker 2: and I remember I would see people from WWE, w CW,
• 48:59
Speaker 2: Smoky Mountain, rest a ecw all in there.
• 49:02
Speaker 4: Yeah, and I I mean, I'm so old.
• 49:04
Speaker 3: They actually did, like the Mid South rankings and the
• 49:06
Speaker 3: World Class Champions your wrestling rankings, and that's how you
• 49:10
Speaker 3: found out who a dingo warrior was before he comes
• 49:13
Speaker 3: to WW becomes the ultimate Warrior, and then you and
• 49:16
Speaker 3: your friends would fantasy kind of book the territories, like, oh,
• 49:20
Speaker 3: what would happen if hul Cogan wrestled Rick Flair? H
• 49:23
Speaker 3: what would happen if the if Brett Hart wrestled Barry Wyndham,
• 49:26
Speaker 3: you know, stuff like that. That was when I actually
• 49:30
Speaker 3: also like you brought up a good point, like the
• 49:35
Speaker 3: if you missed a pay per view, you had to
• 49:36
Speaker 3: wait the twenty four hours. Like you and I have
• 49:38
Speaker 3: to avoid social media, you know if we miss something
• 49:42
Speaker 3: because we don't want to get spoiled.
• 49:43
Speaker 4: We still want to kind of get that thrill.
• 49:45
Speaker 3: And that was that thrill of watching a Monday night
• 49:48
Speaker 3: Raw or a nitro where you're like, oh my god,
• 49:50
Speaker 3: like and sometimes they would recap the whole thing the
• 49:52
Speaker 3: front show, and other times they would recap it throughout
• 49:55
Speaker 3: the show based on what part of the show, like
• 49:58
Speaker 3: the mid card would come on, you know in the
• 50:00
Speaker 3: second hour, and they would recap what happened in the
• 50:03
Speaker 3: Intercone title match during that segment to lead into what
• 50:07
Speaker 3: they're about to do. But I the thing I missed
• 50:10
Speaker 3: though about those days was finding somebody who also liked wrestling.
• 50:14
Speaker 3: Like you didn't have you know, Facebook groups or Twitter
• 50:18
Speaker 3: stuff or x stuff or like that. You had to
• 50:21
Speaker 3: randomly run into somebody that was a wrestling fan, and
• 50:26
Speaker 3: that that quiet little joy that you would get.
• 50:29
Speaker 4: You like, wait, you like wrestling too? Really? I like wrestling.
• 50:33
Speaker 3: It's like it's like finding a kindred spirit randomly, Like
• 50:36
Speaker 3: I do miss that joy right now, it's like, oh man,
• 50:39
Speaker 3: I need some wrestling friends. You just go on Facebook
• 50:41
Speaker 3: and find a wrestling group and jump into it and
• 50:43
Speaker 3: listen to everybody bitch about how much they hate the product.
• 50:46
Speaker 3: But in those days when you and I were kids,
• 50:47
Speaker 3: and you know, the new kid would move to school
• 50:49
Speaker 3: and you start talking and then he sees that you
• 50:52
Speaker 3: have like a whole COVID wrestling figure and he's like, wait,
• 50:55
  Speaker 3: you like wrestling?
• 50:56
Speaker 4: I like wrestling really? Yeah? I watched right, I watched
• 50:59
Speaker 4: Raw every night or everybody me too? Like that joy.
• 51:03
Speaker 4: You don't get that anymore.
• 51:05
Speaker 3: So it's and it's kind of sound like my kids,
• 51:07
Speaker 3: like you know, Luke and Sammy are never going to
• 51:10
Speaker 3: get that feeling from randomly meeting somebody almost in secret,
• 51:14
Speaker 3: because we weren't allowed to talk about our wrestling.
• 51:15
Speaker 4: Fandom at schools for the most parts, because the other
• 51:18
Speaker 4: kids would make fun of us.
• 51:19
Speaker 3: So finding that kindred spoll who was into the same
• 51:22
Speaker 3: things yours just like it was a really cool feeling.
• 51:25
Speaker 3: And the video game stuff, I think it was PlayStation
• 51:29
Speaker 3: one or two, when when those games come out and
• 51:31
Speaker 3: you can actually upload your own theme music to your character,
• 51:35
Speaker 3: I thought was fantastic. It's something that I missed because
• 51:39
Speaker 3: I would make a character and I would pick out
• 51:41
Speaker 3: my own music from what I like, and I didn't
• 51:43
Speaker 3: have to choose from mgk's soundtrack that he put together
• 51:49
Speaker 3: for you know, two K twenty four, which is god awful,
• 51:52
Speaker 3: but you know, you could actually pick your theme song
• 51:55
Speaker 3: to fit the character you made, and it made a
• 51:57
Speaker 3: lot of sense. And that's when you could kind of
• 51:59
Speaker 3: do the take your e fed and make it into
• 52:02
Speaker 3: real life on well and you know, into a video
• 52:05
Speaker 3: game and have all your custom characters that from your
• 52:07
Speaker 3: e fed onto this game with their own music and
• 52:11
Speaker 3: make it kind of come to life.
• 52:12
Speaker 4: So that was a pretty cool feeling that I miss Yeah,
• 52:15
Speaker 4: I mean, and just you know the.
• 52:17
Speaker 3: Rand, like there's no real underground wrestling show. Like when
• 52:21
Speaker 3: ECW first came out, it was only.
• 52:23
  Speaker 4: In the Northeast.
• 52:24
Speaker 3: For us in the Midwest, we would hear about it,
• 52:26
Speaker 3: but we could watch it, and you know, tape training
• 52:29
Speaker 3: was a thing. But even then, like, if you're just
• 52:31
Speaker 3: some random kid in Arkansas, how the hell are you
• 52:35
Speaker 3: gonna find somebody to trade quick? There's nothing you could
• 52:37
Speaker 3: offer to get back. So for us, it's like, wait,
• 52:40
Speaker 3: there's an East, there's an ECW pay per view with
• 52:43
Speaker 3: the Blockbuster I can watch and then you watch it like,
• 52:45
Speaker 3: oh my god, this is crazy.
• 52:46
Speaker 4: How do I get more?
• 52:47
Speaker 3: Like, you don't get that feeling from the gc ws
• 52:50
Speaker 3: and the Wrestling Revolvers and you know the you know,
• 52:53
Speaker 3: those those cool, hip little any shows they have out
• 52:56
Speaker 3: there down you don't have that underground feeling like you
• 52:59
Speaker 3: did back in the day.
• 53:00
Speaker 4: So those are a couple of things that I miss.
• 53:02
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I'm with you. I missed the And wasn't
• 53:07
Speaker 2: that long ago, like fifteen years ago, just being like, hey,
• 53:09
Speaker 2: did you see what's going on in Roh right now
• 53:11
Speaker 2: reading about it? That was kind of the last independent
• 53:16
Speaker 2: wrestling organization to meet out trip because I think the
• 53:18
Speaker 2: rest I really haven't followed, and they're very, very infrequent.
• 53:22
Speaker 2: I don't think GCW runs frequent shows every or nearly
• 53:26
Speaker 2: every weekend like ROH was. I'm trying to think of
• 53:30
Speaker 2: any others that are out there from the independent restling scene.
• 53:33
Speaker 2: I don't think CZW runs as much as they used
• 53:35
  Speaker 2: to anymore.
• 53:36
Speaker 3: Revolver that Sammy Callahan's show, they I mean they mostly
• 53:41
  Speaker 3: shows run monthly.
• 53:42
Speaker 4: Now was what was the one in California, the everybody.
• 53:45
Speaker 3: Came out of you PW no, no no, the one
• 53:48
Speaker 3: when they like the stem oh, like the super indie
• 53:51
Speaker 3: shows that they oh the PWG yes, like they hardly
• 53:55
Speaker 3: I don't ever see them doing anything really anymore.
• 53:57
Speaker 2: Super Dragon shut it down because they had like a
• 53:59
Speaker 2: family of Urgency and they have not been back in
• 54:01
Speaker 2: almost well over a year.
• 54:03
Speaker 3: So I mean GCW I followed because I have friends
• 54:06
Speaker 3: of mine that get booked on that show.
• 54:10
Speaker 4: Wrestling Revolver. I really don't follow that much.
• 54:14
Speaker 3: There's some other like Chikara like it has gone has
• 54:17
Speaker 3: gone by the wayside a couple of the weird shows
• 54:21
Speaker 3: they do out in California where they do, like the
• 54:23
Speaker 3: the the Michael Jackson Zombie.
• 54:26
Speaker 4: If I see something, I'm like, ah right, I'll watch it.
• 54:28
Speaker 3: But yeah, there's just not really the intense super indie
• 54:33
Speaker 3: proma or super indie show that you have to go
• 54:36
Speaker 3: find a check out and you're like, Ring of Honor
• 54:38
Speaker 3: was the last one because what Ring of Honor you know,
• 54:41
Speaker 3: was up and running with when the show first started,
• 54:43
Speaker 3: Like I always having to find out about Ring of
• 54:45
Speaker 3: Honor stuff from you, like you were my Ring of
• 54:47
Speaker 3: Honor contact, because you know, you were able to see it.
• 54:50
Speaker 4: We didn't get Ring of Honor.
• 54:52
Speaker 3: In the South, so I had to read about it
• 54:54
Speaker 3: and sometimes reading about it or hearing about it, like
• 54:58
Speaker 3: you create this image in your head or what this
• 55:01
Speaker 3: show is like. And when I finally got to see
• 55:03
Speaker 3: some Ring of Water back in those days, I was
• 55:05
  Speaker 3: never actually disappointed.
• 55:06
Speaker 4: Always kind of met my expectations.
• 55:08
Speaker 3: But you know when when they did the whole angle
• 55:10
Speaker 3: with Kevin Stein getting fired and he was kind of
• 55:12
Speaker 3: invading these when Cornet fired him and he was invading
• 55:14
Speaker 3: those shows, I didn't get to see any of that stuff.
• 55:17
Speaker 3: Like I had to read about it and hear about
• 55:19
Speaker 3: it from you and my other friends in the Northeast,
• 55:22
Speaker 3: and it was like, this is awesome and I can't
• 55:25
Speaker 3: see it, which maybe like maybe want it even more.
• 55:27
Speaker 3: And now it's like, yeah, like if you want to
• 55:30
Speaker 3: see something, these guys are all streaming their stuff, you
• 55:32
Speaker 3: can check it out. But you don't have that like
• 55:35
Speaker 3: I'm missing that. You don't have that fomo, the fear
• 55:38
Speaker 3: of missing out. You don't have that anymore because if
• 55:40
Speaker 3: you want to see something, you can pretty much go
• 55:43
Speaker 3: find it wherever you want to.
• 55:44
Speaker 4: It's just those days of missing out on cool stuff
• 55:47
Speaker 4: just made you want to see it more and more.
• 55:49
Speaker 2: I think we should do this as a show someday,
• 55:52
Speaker 2: just kind of like what you miss right your resting phantom,
• 55:53
Speaker 2: because it is. When we were talking about magazines, I
• 55:56
Speaker 2: was like, man, what was the magazine I would always
• 55:57
Speaker 2: get when I would like do a car kyle ride
• 56:01
Speaker 2: with my parents, especially like a long one, we'd always
• 56:03
Speaker 2: stop and pick up a bunch of different magazines. For me,
• 56:06
Speaker 2: it was Wrestling World, which I believe is now defunct.
• 56:09
Speaker 2: Do you remember those?
• 56:10
  Speaker 4: Yeah? It was.
• 56:11
Speaker 3: There was Wrestling World, There was p w I, there
• 56:14
Speaker 3: was another one that was like Pro Wrestling Magazine.
• 56:18
Speaker 4: I think it was like there was Hell even the
• 56:21
  Speaker 4: w w F magazine, you know, like they I.
• 56:24
Speaker 2: Have a collection though somewhere.
• 56:26
Speaker 3: Yeah, Like I just I actually just threw out a
• 56:28
Speaker 3: couple of magazines there day that somebody gave me that
• 56:30
Speaker 3: I'm like, I'm never gonna look at these, but they're
• 56:32
Speaker 3: just here. But uh yeah, like some of that stuff
• 56:34
Speaker 3: was like school and even nine hundred numbers. Jeff, I
• 56:36
Speaker 3: know they're they're frowned upon, but you know, just the
• 56:40
Speaker 3: the t's, you know, the mean gene jumping on the
• 56:43
Speaker 3: sign us or you know, even like those those little wards,
• 56:48
Speaker 3: those little those those numbers were ways to increase anticipation
• 56:53
Speaker 3: and increase that little feeling of like, oh, I'm in
• 56:55
Speaker 3: the know. The fact that like we're in the know
• 56:58
Speaker 3: about everything pretty much right now kind of takes away
• 57:01
Speaker 3: the magic of pro wrestling.
• 57:02
Speaker 2: Yeah, what was it like ninety nine cents for the
• 57:04
Speaker 2: first minute, then ten cents after?
• 57:07
Speaker 3: It was a dollar ninety nine for the first minute,
• 57:10
Speaker 3: nine nine says reisition of a minute. Which is why
• 57:11
Speaker 3: I got my ass beat by my dad, because I
• 57:14
Speaker 3: thought I was out smarting the system by calling for
• 57:17
Speaker 3: thirty seconds and then hanging up.
• 57:19
Speaker 2: Well, you and me both. I got in trouble as
• 57:21
Speaker 2: well because I there was something along the lines like
• 57:24
Speaker 2: a former WF champion maybe joining ww you know, dial
• 57:28
Speaker 2: this number one nine hundred nine oh nine. Was it
• 57:30
Speaker 2: ninety nine hundred ninety nine hundred yep, Man, I still
• 57:33
Speaker 2: remember that nine hundred number from me and Gene Okerlin,
• 57:37
Speaker 2: and I called for my grandmother's house and did not
• 57:41
Speaker 2: realize she was going to be charged. Also, I could
• 57:43
Speaker 2: hear that Shawn Michaels was not interested in joining WSW
• 57:48
Speaker 2: and boy, oh boy, did I get in a lot
• 57:50
Speaker 2: of troubles, Like I did not know you were going
• 57:52
Speaker 2: to get beat charged for that. I am sorry, And
• 57:56
Speaker 2: somehow my grandmother got out of it. So I think
• 57:58
Speaker 2: I got a free like nine hundred dial in from
• 58:02
Speaker 2: WW or megene oakerlin Bio just lying about it.
• 58:07
Speaker 3: I told Brian Pillman Junior that I got in trouble
• 58:10
Speaker 3: because when his dad joined WCW, they kind of teased
• 58:14
Speaker 3: who was his hot new free agent signing coming to WCW.
• 58:17
Speaker 4: It was Brian Pillman.
• 58:18
Speaker 3: But I would call because as a thirteen year old,
• 58:22
Speaker 3: if it was a dollar ninety nine, for the first
• 58:24
Speaker 3: minute in my head I had to get I had
• 58:27
Speaker 3: to hit one minute before my dad got charged. So
• 58:30
Speaker 3: if I hung up after thirty seconds, my dad would.
• 58:34
Speaker 4: Not get charged. And then once again, this is us.
• 58:37
Speaker 3: This is nineteen ninety ninety one, somewhere in that in
• 58:40
Speaker 3: that range, and my dad comes home to a two
• 58:43
Speaker 3: hundred and forty dollars landline bill, and he had just
• 58:48
Speaker 3: got back from a parent teacher conference whereas my teachers
• 58:51
Speaker 3: had als said how smart and wonderful student I was.
• 58:53
Speaker 4: He comes home with that.
• 58:54
Speaker 3: Bill and lost it, and I it's the only time
• 58:57
Speaker 3: my dad ever spanked me with a belt and he
• 59:00
Speaker 3: actually used the belt on me and then made go
• 59:02
Speaker 3: mud lawn so like and then and I told him.
• 59:06
Speaker 3: He was later, I'm like, you know, Dad, if you
• 59:07
Speaker 3: just called, if you just called the phone coming he
• 59:09
Speaker 3: said that my son was underage and didn't have my permission,
• 59:11
Speaker 3: they would have forgave the bill. He was like, well,
• 59:16
  Speaker 3: you learned a lesson, didn't you. I'm like, yeah, I don't.
• 59:18
Speaker 2: I never know. Theoretically I did. Pops yep, yeah, no,
• 59:23
