  [SPEAKER_00]: move throughout this draft.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think that one thing that James Gladstone and company, Jaguar's GM, Tony Bicelli, EVP, everybody involved, they do want to break tendency.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They want to kind of keep the rest of the league on their toes when it comes to how they're going to operate.

  [SPEAKER_00]: in this 2026 NFL draft and in general.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And maybe not every fan feels this way, but, you know, this is kind of from where I'm sitting, what I think, a linebacker early, off-ball linebacker early would be pretty surprising.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Last year, obviously, they didn't take a linebacker early.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They did take Jack Kaiser in the fourth round.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Los Angeles Rams, since James Gladstone was there from like 2016 to 2024, they did not take a linebacker in the draft earlier than the third round.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And they only did that one time, only one day to linebacker in over 10 years, about 10 years of drafting.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If you include last year, 10 years of drafts for James Ladsdom.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And he wasn't the one running the show on all of those drafts, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Let's need the GM.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Last year was his first year as the GM, James Ladsom, but linebacker early, based on the past history with the Rams, based on last year's draft, based on the fact that the Jack Wars decided not to value Devin Lloyd would be surprising in my mind.

  [SPEAKER_00]: and what are some of the prospects they could take that would be surprising that fit that mold off ball linebacker.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Look, Jacob Rodriguez, if he got into range for them, I would be so excited to see him in black and teal.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like, that guy is awesome.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I do believe that they will like his game, like from a talent evaluation standpoint.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think the like his game a lot,

  [SPEAKER_00]: He knows how to punch the ball out with the best of him.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And the Jaguars, they focus on forcing turnovers.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think Anthony Campanylee would love that guy.

  [SPEAKER_00]: CJ Allen's another one.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he'll get in range.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think Rodriguez and Allen will be out of their range.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I like CJ Allen a ton too.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But two guys that might be there at 56 that I,

  [SPEAKER_00]: I like their game, but I would be surprised just based on what we've talked about so far is Jake Goldett who, I think he's an Anthony Hill Junior.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think both of these guys are really good athletes, both of them really know how to blitz.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Play close to the line of scrimmage, play the run.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I think what you've seen from Anthony Camponele is guys that have struggled a little bit in coverage before they got with Camp, have done a much better job in his defense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He is a former linebacker coach.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he knows how to get the most out of linebackers.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That is one of his real superpowers, if you will, as James Gladstone likes to put it from a coaching standpoint.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, off-ball landbacker early would surprise me?

  [SPEAKER_00]: I believe they will draft a landbacker, but to me it would be surprising if it's before the third round.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Third round, I could easily see it.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think my best guess at this point would probably be fourth or fifth round.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I could see third round of the right guys there.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They've got three third round picks right now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Next up is a pure F tie-dend or a pure move tie-dend.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of guys in this draft that I think

  [SPEAKER_00]: could be an F tie-dend, but they have some blocking chops, or they project more as a Y inline tie-dend, but they've got some receiving ability as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So those guys, I think, all fall within what would be most likely for the Jaguars based on what we've seen, again, from the Rams, and from the Jaguars last year, they love Britain's strange.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He can do a lot for you at the tie-dend position, a versatile tie-dend, the two guys they brought in last year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Three guys.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Hunter Long, Johnny Munt, Quentin Morris, they all had the ability to block.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They obviously also brought in Patrick Herbert last year as an undractive for Agent, I think he's still around, so he'll have an opportunity to compete, but a pure move tied in or F tied in would be pretty surprising in my mind.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Guys like Justin Jolie, who they have met with,

  [SPEAKER_00]: out of NC State, who is a really exciting receiving threat at the Titan position.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Max Claire, a really exciting receiving threat, but definitely a pure F Titan.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then Eli Stowers out of Vandy, to me, is really more of a slot, like pure slot receiver, almost like a big power slot.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Claire, I think you could sell yourself a little bit on blocking ability in space, jolly same thing, but really any of those guys would kind of surprise me towards the top of the draft just from a archetype standpoint.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, the next one we've got here is not taking a running back,

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's a tricky one, because the Rams always take a run and back in the draft.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Last year, the Jack Wars, they took two running backs in the draft, but it's a crowded room now, because you did take two running backs last year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You've got Basel Tutan, you've got Liquan Allen from last year's draft.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You went and signed Chris Rodriguez, and you still have DJ Dallas who you brought back as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If you're going to take a running back, you probably have to be good with the prospect of keeping four running backs on your active roster.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Because otherwise, and that also probably is bad news for DJ Dallas, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: But otherwise, you're talking about trying to stash or running back that you drafted on the practice squad, and that just doesn't sound very smart.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But as I mentioned, I do think that the jacks will probably take a running back at some point in the draft.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You know, the Chris Rodriguez deal is not long term.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I think Basel Tutan and Lequan Allen are definitely in the plans.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like, if you're just looking at the roster and you're saying, okay, they paid Chris Rodriguez, obviously like him.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You could be like, well, if they drafted another running back, could that be bad news for liquid Allen?

  [SPEAKER_00]: After that, we're going to talk about some running backs that I think make sense for the Jaguars, not all in the same mold, but they do all present something that kind of ties them to the Jaguars in my mind.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Basel Tutan, I think, was that Coastal Carolina before transferring to Virginia Tech?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Harry on Stewart was at Bowling Green before transferring to Virginia Tech this year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He wasn't like a workhorse back, missed a little bit of time throughout the season, but he had 118 total snaps, 82 carries.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then also Emmett Johnson is another one for me out in Nebraska.

  [SPEAKER_00]: uh, Jeremiah love, but Emmett Johnson, he makes people miss.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He has really good vision.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's a really good pass down back as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So those are guys I would be keeping an eye on for the jag wars and I would have to imagine it would have to be a later round selection.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So like, I don't know that a Emmett Johnson or a Jonah Coleman who I think are both day two guys.

  [SPEAKER_00]: would end up making sense for the jacks, maybe Mike Washington if he felt a day three, but again, they would have to be comfortable probably rostering for running backs in that scenario, but I still do expect to see them take one.

  [SPEAKER_00]: In fact, it would be shocking.

  [SPEAKER_00]: This is literally what they do.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You just saw them make a player for player trade, getting Rook Aurora row, and exchange for Mason Smith.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But they moved all around the draft board last year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Rams typically do the same thing.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If there are no trades on day two for your Jacksonville Jaguars, I would be shocked.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like they have picks at 56, 81, 88, and 100.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Tell me they're not moving around at all.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That would be really, really surprising to me.

  [SPEAKER_00]: a couple other things that would shock me.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If they end up drafting a massive offensive linemen or defensive linemen, that would be a little surprising.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And there's not a ton of guys that fit into these categories here.

  [SPEAKER_00]: This is a class that really kind of, it hears to the more modern game, which is just like, if you are oversized, a lot of times that can be to your detriment,

  [SPEAKER_00]: There's some really big guys, but what we've seen from the jags and the rams for the most part, there's a couple exceptions with the rams.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The rams and jags on the defensive line, anybody over three, 20 would honestly be kind of surprising, 320 pounds, and then offensive wise, same thing.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And Mark L. Bell is certainly a player that fits into that category as the offensive tackle from Miami.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But he's also 69.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I would not be at all disappointed if they go get Mark L. Bell, because I think he's a good player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But he would be a little bit outside of what they typically look for.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Dante Corleone, the defensive tackle out of...

  [SPEAKER_00]: out of Cincinnati, the Godfather, love the guy, but he's dealt with a lot of different health issues and injury issues and different things.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So that's somebody that would be surprising to me at like 340 pounds.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Caleb Banks is an interesting one because he is a bigger guy too.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But obviously the issue with him is the foot injury, he's around 27 pounds.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If they have a clean bill, a health on him, I think they would be in favor of going and getting him.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I just don't know how that's going to play out with the health situation with the feet.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's been dealing with feet injuries for like the last year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: uh... the georgia interior defensive linemen a huge fan of his game honestly uh... he's like kind of on the border i feel like i think he can definitely play in the three fifteen range which is kind of more what the jackwars i believe are looking for uh... just based on precedent demand hamilton plays around three twenty but

  [SPEAKER_00]: Chris and Miller came in 321 at the combat in 328 his pro-day.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I think he's kind of on the border of being like bigger than what they would normally look for.

  [SPEAKER_00]: A lot of defensive tackles you've seen, the Rams and Jaguars be interested in are more in that Rooka Rourer row size range like 295 to 310, maybe 315.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Rams currently have Pune of Ford, who's about three, 15.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, that's just something I kind of noticed.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Usually you're not talking about the massive, massive humans at either of those spots.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then my final point here is if they start taking players that are very specific in what they can do, whether that be a potential starter at a spot

  [SPEAKER_00]: If they start taking very specific players instead of versatile players, that would be a big change up.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They've shown that they have interesting guys that have versatility, that have done different things, like if you're talking about taking a

  [SPEAKER_00]: an offensive lineman having experience at different positions is something they value defensive line being able to move around the defensive front like Rucororo has played a lot of different spots up front did that at Climpson as well if you're talking about like they took Kayla Ransal at for safety he played

  [SPEAKER_00]: outside corner and nickel and college.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of different examples of this throughout what they've done so far.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So taking these very specific niche type of roles versus a versatile player would kind of be a little surprising.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That'll do it for this one.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Just wanted to go over some different ways that Jaguar's could shock me, maybe shock a lot of different people that cover the team.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I know a lot of folks beg linebacker early for the Jaguars, but that really would be the most surprising one outside of like, I would say that and then not making any trades on day two would be completely shocking in my opinion.
