- 0:05Speaker 2: This it's the Reader Paney Show.
- 0:08Speaker 3: Good evening and welcome to the Reader Paney Show. Coming
- 0:11Speaker 3: up tonight.
- 0:12Speaker 4: Democracy under thread with President Joe Biden earlier today announcing
- 0:16Speaker 4: he will not seek renomination, but no address to the nation,
- 0:20Speaker 4: no prerecorded statement, nothing other than a written statement released
- 0:25Speaker 4: on social media on x A platform. We can be
- 0:29Speaker 4: fairly certain Biden does not personally use. You can have
- 0:34Speaker 4: a look at his account and see the output there.
- 0:37Speaker 4: You understand why I say that. Does President Biden even
- 0:40Speaker 4: know he's not running for renomination? Who exactly is running
- 0:43Speaker 4: the country right now? It was just over a week
- 0:47Speaker 4: ago when President Biden.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Said this, what's Joe Biden going to do? Is he
- 0:52Speaker 2: going to stand in the race?
- 0:54Speaker 5: Is he going to drop out?
- 0:55Speaker 2: Where's myself? I am running and we're gonna win. I'm
- 1:00Speaker 2: my protander.
- 1:03Speaker 3: How can Biden remain in the oval office?
- 1:06Speaker 4: How can a man judged by his own to be
- 1:08Speaker 4: too cognitively impaired to run for president again remain president?
- 1:13Speaker 3: Who's running the country?
- 1:15Speaker 4: Only yesterday he was saying he would run again and
- 1:19Speaker 4: he would win.
- 1:20Speaker 3: It's the most.
- 1:21Speaker 4: Important election of our lifetimes, and I will win it,
- 1:24Speaker 4: He tweeted, We'll be covering this incredible news from every
- 1:28Speaker 4: angle with a stellar lineup of guests, including Senator Alex
- 1:32Speaker 4: Antik Provisa, Ian Plymer, and the always droll Texan Alex
- 1:36Speaker 4: Stein later in the hour.
- 1:38Speaker 3: And of course left.
- 1:39Speaker 4: Is losing it, and yes, this woman is going to
- 1:43Speaker 4: be featuring quite prominently.
- 1:46Speaker 6: You think you just fell out of a coconut tree.
- 1:51Speaker 6: You exists in the context we are watched the television
- 1:57Speaker 6: coverage of just yesterday. That's on top of everything else
- 2:02Speaker 6: that we know and don't know yet based on what
- 2:05Speaker 6: we've just been able to see in because we've seen
- 2:07Speaker 6: it or not doesn't mean it hasn't happened.
- 2:09Speaker 4: Yes, that's Kamala Harris, the inept, radically left, and wildly
- 2:14Speaker 4: unpopular vice president who has now been presented as the
- 2:18Speaker 4: Democrat's great hope, the woman who has not won a
- 2:22Speaker 4: single presidential primary, a Californian from San Francisco with a
- 2:27Speaker 4: voting record in the Senate that is radically left. She's
- 2:30Speaker 4: disliked by her own let alone the average American and
- 2:35Speaker 4: polsters including Matt Towry, are already laying bare. Han unpopular
- 2:39Speaker 4: Kamala is in the crucial swing states. The polling show
- 2:43Speaker 4: she's even less popular than Biden among independents in those
- 2:48Speaker 4: swing states. Indeed, across America, Kamala has proven to be
- 2:53Speaker 4: less popular than the least popular president.
- 2:56Speaker 3: Of our time.
- 2:57Speaker 4: She has consistently lied to the American people about Biden's
- 3:01Speaker 4: cognitive decline, and millions of Americans gave their primary vote
- 3:07Speaker 4: to Biden. Their votes mean nothing. Tonight, the Democrats have
- 3:12Speaker 4: shown again and again, though they bleet endlessly about threats
- 3:16Speaker 4: to democracy, they care little about democracy. They have weaponized
- 3:20Speaker 4: the justice system to try to imprison their chief political rival.
- 3:25Speaker 3: And now they're going.
- 3:25Speaker 4: To ignore the votes of fourteen million Americans who voted
- 3:29Speaker 4: for Biden in the Democratic primary, and they will install
- 3:33Speaker 4: Kamala as the candidate. And it hasn't taken long for
- 3:37Speaker 4: the Trump team to release an ad attacking Kamala.
- 3:41Speaker 7: Harris Kamala was in on it. She covered up Joe's
- 3:45Speaker 7: obvious mental decline.
- 3:46Speaker 6: Our president is in good shape, in good health, tireless, vibrant,
- 3:50Speaker 6: and I have no doubt about the strength of the
- 3:53Speaker 6: work that we have done.
- 3:54Speaker 7: But Carmalin knew Joe couldn't do the job, so she
- 3:57Speaker 7: did it. Look what she got done. A border in vs.
- 4:00Speaker 7: Runaway in Fleetion, the American dream dead. They created this mess.
- 4:05Speaker 7: They know Kamala owns this failed record.
- 4:09Speaker 4: Now let's bring in Liberal Senator Alex Antick. Alex, what
- 4:14Speaker 4: do you make of today's events?
- 4:16Speaker 3: Is this a quite coup?
- 4:21Speaker 1: Well?
- 4:21Speaker 8: Look, who knows what goes on with American politics? Reader
- 4:24Speaker 8: suffice to say that I just am staggered that people
- 4:27Speaker 8: are staggered. This seemed to be telegraphed for I would
- 4:30Speaker 8: have thought years out. I mean, I honestly didn't think
- 4:33Speaker 8: that Joe Biden would make it past the first year.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Franklin.
- 4:36Speaker 8: We saw that because his performances in the twenty nineteen
- 4:40Speaker 8: twenty twenty era were actually not that much different to
- 4:43Speaker 8: what we saw in that recent debate. It's just that
- 4:45Speaker 8: all of a sudden, the media turned on him, and
- 4:48Speaker 8: of course from there we just saw a pylon. And
- 4:51Speaker 8: I mean, I just find it staggering. I saw Vivic
- 4:53Speaker 8: Ramaswami making the point of the presidential elections no sorry,
- 4:56Speaker 8: Republican presidential debate. The Democrats should just give up this
- 5:02Speaker 8: charade that Joe was going to be the nominee.
- 5:04Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 5:05Speaker 8: I mean It just strikes me as being the most
- 5:08Speaker 8: obvious train wreck in the distance that I have ever seen.
- 5:11Speaker 8: And yet here we are and people are feigning surprise.
- 5:14Speaker 8: So be it, I say, but they.
- 5:18Speaker 4: Were happy for him to run again as long as
- 5:20Speaker 4: that had gas lit the American people into believing he
- 5:24Speaker 4: was fit for office.
- 5:25Speaker 3: It's only when the poles really turned.
- 5:27Speaker 4: I don't think they even care about the debate performance
- 5:30Speaker 4: as much as they just see no recovery in the
- 5:33Speaker 4: polls for him, So they're just going to throw away
- 5:35Speaker 4: the entire process. And when you look at the poles
- 5:39Speaker 4: that have come out just since this news broke, it
- 5:43Speaker 4: doesn't look pretty for Kamala.
- 5:45Speaker 3: This National ge Pole's got Trump on.
- 5:48Speaker 4: Forty four percent, Harris thirty six, and Kennedy up to
- 5:54Speaker 4: six percent. There Joe Biden is backing his vice president
- 6:00Speaker 4: and saw a number of other powerful players, but not
- 6:04Speaker 4: Barack Obama, not yet, and he seems to have so
- 6:08Speaker 4: much power within the Democrats. Alex, why do you think
- 6:12Speaker 4: that is? Why do you think he is hesitant to
- 6:15Speaker 4: back Kamala.
- 6:17Speaker 8: Well, it's a great question, and I know that there
- 6:20Speaker 8: is actually the convention in a couple of weeks, so
- 6:23Speaker 8: it's all yet to be played out, and the way
- 6:24Speaker 8: it roles is quite intriguing. They can vote virtually over
- 6:27Speaker 8: the next little period. They'd hope to install the previous
- 6:31Speaker 8: president Biden by I think the seventh of August, so
- 6:34Speaker 8: and that didn't happen obviously, so there's obviously some back
- 6:37Speaker 8: room negotiation going on. People bring their delegates with them.
- 6:41Speaker 8: They are all free to vote now however they want,
- 6:43Speaker 8: though Biden's Democrat delegates, so time will tell. But look,
- 6:49Speaker 8: I mean this has been such a topsy turvy period
- 6:52Speaker 8: over the last few months. Yet I don't think we
- 6:55Speaker 8: could safely say that she is home and host yet.
- 6:58Speaker 8: I mean, maybe there's an outside and then might come through.
- 7:01Speaker 8: If you ask Roger Stone, he's been saying Michelle Obama
- 7:03Speaker 8: for eighteen months.
- 7:06Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 7:06Speaker 8: I mean, we've had a wee October surprises in the
- 7:10Speaker 8: last two months before we even get to October.
- 7:12Speaker 1: I mean, who knows.
- 7:15Speaker 4: It's a very good point, and there's some very smart
- 7:18Speaker 4: money saying just that that they're going to go with her. Now,
- 7:21Speaker 4: give her a couple of weeks to try to prove herself,
- 7:25Speaker 4: and if she fails, then they've got time to back
- 7:28Speaker 4: another candidate in perhaps a Michelle Obama or a Gavin Newsom.
- 7:33Speaker 4: I mean, the entire process, though, seems to be shambolic.
- 7:37Speaker 3: Alex.
- 7:38Speaker 4: You've got a process to find a candidate, and the
- 7:42Speaker 4: Democrats seem to have little respect for that. Where we've
- 7:46Speaker 4: seen that in previous campaigns and again this time pressuring
- 7:50Speaker 4: the president to step down. That keep talking about threats
- 7:55Speaker 4: to democracy and how Donald Trump is the great threat
- 7:58Speaker 4: to democracy.
- 7:59Speaker 3: That don't seem to have a great deal of respect
- 8:01Speaker 3: for the democratic process themselves.
- 8:04Speaker 8: Yeah, well, as always, politics in the US is a
- 8:06Speaker 8: bit like the portrait of Dorian Gray, and he's sort
- 8:08Speaker 8: of accusing your opponent of doing the things you're doing yourself.
- 8:11Speaker 1: I mean, it's quite right.
- 8:12Speaker 8: As Trump said on the weekend, what did he ever
- 8:14Speaker 8: do for democracy? He took a bullet for democracy, that's
- 8:16Speaker 8: what he did. And so yeah, look, I agree, we've
- 8:19Speaker 8: heard all the usual overtures. We can't let Trump be
- 8:22Speaker 8: back in the White House. He'll be a dictator, even
- 8:24Speaker 8: though he wasn't in the last round. He'll be, you know,
- 8:27Speaker 8: whatever the accusation is, he'll be. And of course the
- 8:30Speaker 8: American people now have the benefit of seeing what came
- 8:33Speaker 8: under the Trump presidency, which was an incredible economy, a
- 8:37Speaker 8: secure border, almost Middle East peace by the way.
- 8:41Speaker 1: So I think you'll find that the.
- 8:42Speaker 8: Mood has changed a lot out there in the US
- 8:44Speaker 8: and we're starting to see people coming out of their shells,
- 8:46Speaker 8: which is ensuring.
- 8:50Speaker 4: Well, you've never been shy about expressing your support. You've
- 8:54Speaker 4: met with the president. There's a picture of you and
- 8:57Speaker 4: him together that you've shared. What can you tell us
- 9:01Speaker 4: about your own personal interaction with him and what a
- 9:04Speaker 4: second Trump term will mean for Australia and for that
- 9:09Speaker 4: US alliance. Can you see, for example, Kevin Rudd remaining
- 9:14Speaker 4: in that crucial position given some of the horrendous things
- 9:18Speaker 4: he has said about President Trump in the past.
- 9:21Speaker 8: Well, I noticed that everybody seems to be backpedaling now
- 9:24Speaker 8: at one hundred miles an hour as the Trump presidency
- 9:27Speaker 8: gets closer to a reality. The forty seventh president of
- 9:29Speaker 8: the United States, from my own personal point of view,
- 9:31Speaker 8: found him to be incredibly engaging. I mean, I think
- 9:33Speaker 8: this is the terrible thing that left don't want to
- 9:35Speaker 8: admit when it comes to Donald Trump. He's a consummate professional,
- 9:39Speaker 8: He is personable, he is funny, and he listens to people,
- 9:44Speaker 8: And I mean, I know that runs against the narrative
- 9:46Speaker 8: kind of say by the outset that and this station
- 9:49Speaker 8: and yourself are precluded from this prijority of that I'm
- 9:52Speaker 8: going to say, but I actually don't care what anyone
- 9:54Speaker 8: in the media anywhere says about anything, let alone Donald J. Trump,
- 9:57Speaker 8: And I certainly don't care what celebrities say. It is
- 10:01Speaker 8: just intriguing to see these people in real life. They
- 10:03Speaker 8: are human beings. As to the Australian scenario, look, I
- 10:06Speaker 8: mean I think people will scramble now to talk about
- 10:11Speaker 8: him in favorable terms, you know.
- 10:13Speaker 4: As they should, Oh absolutely, And I think he was
- 10:19Speaker 4: in many ways positive for Australia, particularly when you look
- 10:22Speaker 4: at how he handled China that's rarely spoken about, and
- 10:26Speaker 4: of course other successes internationally, including those peace deals. But
- 10:33Speaker 4: back on Kamala, it wasn't long ago when even the
- 10:37Speaker 4: most left of leftist publications were admitting that the Democrats
- 10:41Speaker 4: have a Kamala problem.
- 10:43Speaker 3: The Atlantic among them.
- 10:46Speaker 4: They've described her career as you know, this rising star
- 10:50Speaker 4: who's ended up being a damp squib, and how she's
- 10:54Speaker 4: just hasn't got a single vote cast for her for
- 10:58Speaker 4: these primaries. But now she's been presented as this visionary,
- 11:04Speaker 4: this amazing woman of color who's going to change the world.
- 11:09Speaker 4: The change in narrative is just so dramatic and almost comical.
- 11:16Speaker 4: How do you think she will go with the media,
- 11:19Speaker 4: because she is going to have a honeymoon period if
- 11:21Speaker 4: she does end up being the candidate, and that honeymoon
- 11:24Speaker 4: may last all the way to the November poll.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Yeah, it could well.
- 11:29Speaker 8: I mean you can almost hear the collective groan from
- 11:31Speaker 8: Hollywood and the media in the US saying, here we go,
- 11:33Speaker 8: We're going to have to fall into line now.
- 11:35Speaker 1: But that's just me.
- 11:36Speaker 8: Maybe I'm wrong, but it does seem to me to
- 11:38Speaker 8: be an incredible feat to try to get this online.
- 11:43Speaker 8: I mean, we've heard the vice president talk in riddles.
- 11:46Speaker 8: She talks all over the shop. She talks in a
- 11:48Speaker 8: form of words salad, and I think Donald Trump actually
- 11:51Speaker 8: described it to Tucker Tack Carlson as being almost like
- 11:55Speaker 8: talking in rhyme. You know, it's sort of this kind
- 11:57Speaker 8: of you know, everything that was is and everything that
- 11:59Speaker 8: might be is maybe, And you know, I mean, who
- 12:01Speaker 8: knows that.
- 12:02Speaker 1: That's, by the way, is.
- 12:03Speaker 8: Not an uncommon feature of political speak, and that's why
- 12:06Speaker 8: I think President Trump relates so well to people because
- 12:09Speaker 8: he just gets in front of the camera and says
- 12:11Speaker 8: what he thinks. And it's not always what people want
- 12:13Speaker 8: to hear, but at least it's coming from a place
- 12:16Speaker 8: of unscripted nature usually. So look, I don't know. I
- 12:20Speaker 8: think it's going to be an interesting exercise. But you
- 12:22Speaker 8: can guarantee she'll be front and center on programs like
- 12:25Speaker 8: The View, and she'll be all over you know, the
- 12:29Speaker 8: Golden Globes, and she'll be dancing with Oprah and you know,
- 12:32Speaker 8: I mean, it's just ready to go.
- 12:36Speaker 4: You mentioned words salads. She's known for those and also
- 12:40Speaker 4: for her laugh just laughing at sometimes inappropriate times. Let's
- 12:45Speaker 4: have a look at some of her performances during the debates.
- 12:50Speaker 2: Some things you can, many things you can.
- 12:52Speaker 9: Let's let the senator answer.
- 12:54Speaker 6: Well, I mean I would just say, hey, Joe, it's
- 12:57Speaker 6: said a saying that we can't.
- 12:59Speaker 10: Let's see, yes we can, must be procrusional, yes we.
- 13:06Speaker 3: Can, oh dear.
- 13:08Speaker 4: And six months into her role as vice president, she
- 13:12Speaker 4: still had not gone down to the southern border, despite
- 13:15Speaker 4: the fact that she was the borders are charged with
- 13:17Speaker 4: fixing that problem, and listen to this interview with MBC
- 13:22Speaker 4: that's become viral again.
- 13:25Speaker 11: We are going to the border.
- 13:26Speaker 6: We've been to the border, so this whole, this whole
- 13:30Speaker 6: thing about the border.
- 13:31Speaker 11: We've been to the border. We've been to the border.
- 13:34Speaker 11: You haven't been to the border, and I haven't been
- 13:37Speaker 11: to Europe.
- 13:38Speaker 4: She hasn't been to Europe either, Alex She has now
- 13:42Speaker 4: gone to the border once June twenty twenty one, down
- 13:46Speaker 4: in El Paso, Texas. And I think that failure as
- 13:50Speaker 4: the borders are, this is one of the very top
- 13:53Speaker 4: issues in the US, along with the cost of living crisis, inflation,
- 13:57Speaker 4: is the record numbers who are flooding in a legally
- 14:00Speaker 4: through that southern border, and she owns a lot of that.
- 14:06Speaker 4: How do you think she'll be judged if she is
- 14:09Speaker 4: the candidate, if they do stick with her, how will
- 14:13Speaker 4: she dodge responsibility for the illegal immigration crisis?
- 14:20Speaker 1: Well, I mean it's a massive issue.
- 14:21Speaker 8: I mean we're hearing reports that there are as many
- 14:23Speaker 8: as ten, fifteen, eighteen million people that have come across
- 14:26Speaker 8: the border. And even Trump himself, I think has taken
- 14:29Speaker 8: aim at some of the usual conservative allies around the
- 14:34Speaker 8: South American take us by saying, look, they're just letting
- 14:36Speaker 8: people into the country, dumping their prisons, dumping all in
- 14:39Speaker 8: our good nix and so on. So it's a massive failure.
- 14:42Speaker 8: I think this is probably arguably the biggest failing of
- 14:45Speaker 8: the last fifty years in the United States to have
- 14:48Speaker 8: this mass migration now now coming through. So she shouldn't
- 14:52Speaker 8: be judged well. None of the Biden administration should be
- 14:54Speaker 8: judged well. But they'll be judged by the usual suspects,
- 14:57Speaker 8: the managerial class, Hollywood celebrities, singers, and buy newspaper outlets
- 15:02Speaker 8: that want to put their own shine on what it
- 15:04Speaker 8: actually happened and what actually didn't happen. And that's the
- 15:07Speaker 8: problem here. I think the problem is a lot of
- 15:09Speaker 8: this will get swept under the rug. That's why it's
- 15:11Speaker 8: so important that we have platforms where we can talk
- 15:13Speaker 8: about this stuff. You won't see it on many of
- 15:15Speaker 8: these social media outlets, I can assure you, but you
- 15:17Speaker 8: may well see it on Twitter.
- 15:19Speaker 1: I suspect.
- 15:22Speaker 3: Yes.
- 15:22Speaker 4: Now to the UK, I talked about Kevin Rudd and
- 15:25Speaker 4: some of the things he has said about President Trump
- 15:27Speaker 4: and how you can go on with with that possible
- 15:33Speaker 4: Trump administration in his current role, the UK has got
- 15:37Speaker 4: even more serious troubles because the new Labor government. You
- 15:41Speaker 4: got the Foreign Secretary there, David Lammy, who's called Trump
- 15:45Speaker 4: a neo Nazi sociopath. I mean, how do you move
- 15:50Speaker 4: on from that? We know Trump can hold a grudge.
- 15:55Speaker 4: What can this mean for the US UK alliance?
- 15:59Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean I think people once again, we've got
- 16:01Speaker 8: to see a lot of backpedaling over the next little period.
- 16:03Speaker 8: I suspect, but I mean these words almost have no
- 16:06Speaker 8: meaning anymore. The left just use them in the most
- 16:10Speaker 8: ambiguous ridiculous. I mean the number of times people have
- 16:13Speaker 8: been called white supremacists. So someone called JD. Vans a
- 16:16Speaker 8: white supremacist in the last forty eight hours, and of
- 16:19Speaker 8: course his wife is from India, I think, or the
- 16:22Speaker 8: family are from India. So I mean, none of it,
- 16:24Speaker 8: it's just nonsense.
- 16:26Speaker 1: What does it do though?
- 16:27Speaker 8: I think it does leave a lot of damage, And
- 16:29Speaker 8: of course we know that President Trump does have a
- 16:33Speaker 8: long memory, so I don't think it's a healthy thing.
- 16:36Speaker 8: And I hope that people would in the various countries
- 16:39Speaker 8: of our alliance would see that and be a little
- 16:42Speaker 8: bit more realistic about their language. I mean, they can
- 16:45Speaker 8: say what they like, but we've got bigger fish to
- 16:47Speaker 8: fry here with the Alliance.
- 16:51Speaker 4: And we've got local politicians, including Zoey Daniel and the
- 16:57Speaker 4: Greens leader Adam Bant, all scared mongering about a second
- 17:01Speaker 4: Trump term, saying that it's going to be terrible for
- 17:05Speaker 4: the world for climate change, the world's going to burn.
- 17:09Speaker 3: What's your response to that and what will.
- 17:11Speaker 4: It mean for our energy policy if there is a
- 17:16Speaker 4: Trump term where they walk away from Paris again, where
- 17:20Speaker 4: they become energy independent and they really focus on drilling
- 17:26Speaker 4: as much as they can to bring home that advantage.
- 17:31Speaker 8: Yeah, well, let's hope it brings some common sense back
- 17:33Speaker 8: to global energy policy full stop. I mean, you know
- 17:36Speaker 8: his line is drill, baby, drill. Couldn't agree more. I mean,
- 17:39Speaker 8: you know, we need to be in a position now
- 17:41Speaker 8: where we get the cheapest power in the world, and
- 17:43Speaker 8: we've got it. We've got it here, We've got everything
- 17:44Speaker 8: we need. We just need to get some sense back
- 17:46Speaker 8: into that debate, and so I welcome it. I mean,
- 17:50Speaker 8: at the moment I knew Donald J. Trump was the
- 17:52Speaker 8: real deal was when he pulled out of Paris. I
- 17:54Speaker 8: thought that was one of the greatest things the politicians
- 17:56Speaker 8: ever done.
- 17:57Speaker 1: And let's hope it happens again.
- 18:01Speaker 4: Senator Alexander, thank you so much for your time. Really
- 18:04Speaker 4: do appreciate your insights, and let's talk more about the
- 18:08Speaker 4: energy and climate change policy. I'm joined now by Steam
- 18:12Speaker 4: geologist professor Ian Plymer. I mentioned the Greens leader Adam
- 18:18Speaker 4: Bandt here's urging Americans to reject Donald Trump.
- 18:22Speaker 3: He tweeted this.
- 18:23Speaker 4: He said, a second Donald Trump term would be dangerous
- 18:27Speaker 4: for the climate, for already marginalized communities, and for the
- 18:30Speaker 4: growing threat of.
- 18:31Speaker 3: Far right extremism.
- 18:33Speaker 4: I hope Americans use their voting power in the upcoming
- 18:36Speaker 4: election to stop this from happening. Big respect to Joe
- 18:40Speaker 4: Biden for making what would have been a very difficult
- 18:43Speaker 4: decision overnight. The new Democrat presidential candidate must do all
- 18:48Speaker 4: they can to keep Trump out of office.
- 18:50Speaker 3: But it's interesting.
- 18:52Speaker 4: Ian, because he's American counterpart, you could say, presidential nominee
- 18:56Speaker 4: for the American Green Party, doctor Jill Steins. She seems
- 18:59Speaker 4: to think the threat comes from the other side. She tweeted,
- 19:02Speaker 4: Joe Biden has been removed from power by the same
- 19:06Speaker 4: anti democratic forces that wrig the field for him in
- 19:10Speaker 4: twenty twenty and skip the primary to anoint him in
- 19:13Speaker 4: twenty twenty four.
- 19:14Speaker 3: Don't be fooled.
- 19:15Speaker 4: The same densey elites that put him in power will
- 19:18Speaker 4: replace him with another tool for Wall Street and the
- 19:22Speaker 4: war machine. Professor Plymer, what do you make of Adam
- 19:27Speaker 4: Vance's comments and what do you think a second Trump
- 19:32Speaker 4: term will mean for the planet and for the threat
- 19:36Speaker 4: of global warming?
- 19:38Speaker 12: Well, the American voter would say, who the hell is
- 19:41Speaker 12: Adam Bank? You know, we've got to own WeDo.
- 19:44Speaker 2: We don't have Australian weirdos.
- 19:46Speaker 12: So to call Trump dangerous, we've already had him from
- 19:51Speaker 12: one term. You can already see what he's done. And
- 19:55Speaker 12: was he dangerous? No, He created more jobs, especially for
- 19:58Speaker 12: marginalized people. He closed the border, which actually meant that
- 20:03Speaker 12: poor people didn't have competition from illegals for jobs.
- 20:07Speaker 2: His energy policies.
- 20:09Speaker 12: Made America great again. So Adam Bend is showing that
- 20:13Speaker 12: he's suffering from a severe dose of Trump de arrangement syndrome.
- 20:17Speaker 12: No one listens to him in the US. No one
- 20:19Speaker 12: should listen to her in this country. The US has
- 20:22Speaker 12: got enough for their own widows.
- 20:26Speaker 4: And for him to be tweeting about far right extremism
- 20:30Speaker 4: when We're seeing what's happened since October seven right here
- 20:34Speaker 4: in Australia, in our country, in our cities across Australia,
- 20:38Speaker 4: were far left activists intimidating members of the Jewish community,
- 20:43Speaker 4: and a lot of people who seem to be of
- 20:46Speaker 4: the same political persuasion as the Greens participating in behavior
- 20:50Speaker 4: that is frankly UnAustralian and should be condemned. Let's talk
- 20:55Speaker 4: about the tills. Zoe daniels I mentioned her earlier. She
- 20:59Speaker 4: was on Inside As yesterday also talking about the perils
- 21:03Speaker 4: of a second Trump term.
- 21:06Speaker 13: And I think anyone who thinks Trump has changed as
- 21:09Speaker 13: a result of the assassination attempt is living in a
- 21:12Speaker 13: parallel universe. We saw him wind back Barack Obama's initiatives
- 21:17Speaker 13: on renewable energy, we saw him pull out of Paris.
- 21:20Speaker 4: Now, what will a second term mean for net zero ambitions?
- 21:26Speaker 4: That is something that has been embraced in the West,
- 21:30Speaker 4: from the UK to the US to hear. If Trump
- 21:34Speaker 4: walks away from net zero, we'll see a domino effect
- 21:38Speaker 4: with other nations following well.
- 21:41Speaker 12: Trump's already shown his colors on this. He wants to
- 21:44Speaker 12: drill to get more gas and Oidl. He wants to
- 21:47Speaker 12: again get out of Paris. He wants to make renewables competity.
- 21:51Speaker 12: No one objects to renewables, They just have to be
- 21:54Speaker 12: on a level playing field. And that level playing field
- 21:57Speaker 12: is without subsidies. Because Trump, with his business background, is
- 22:01Speaker 12: looking at costs. What are the costs to the average American?
- 22:05Speaker 12: What are the costs for the country as a nation?
- 22:08Speaker 2: Now?
- 22:09Speaker 12: I think if Trump does get out of Paris and
- 22:12Speaker 12: does stop subsidies for renewables, the rest of the world
- 22:16Speaker 12: will be not competing on energy. It won't be a
- 22:19Speaker 12: level playing field. The US will be way in front,
- 22:22Speaker 12: and that may well stimulate some change. And I think
- 22:25Speaker 12: that change is coming because the costs of electricity have
- 22:28Speaker 12: almost got up tenfold around the world, especially in the
- 22:31Speaker 12: Western world, and people are saying, no, that's enough. We
- 22:34Speaker 12: once had cheap, reliable electricity. Why should we actually have
- 22:38Speaker 12: electricity now that's very expensive. So Zoe Daniel and Adam
- 22:43Speaker 12: Band these are a job destroyers, you know, why not
- 22:47Speaker 12: have an opinion from someone who's not a teal or
- 22:49Speaker 12: someone who's not.
- 22:50Speaker 2: In the Grand Party.
- 22:51Speaker 12: Why not go to the bush and just get someone
- 22:53Speaker 12: who runs their own business who might actually be a
- 22:56Speaker 12: nice person, might able to be demonstrate some judgment, might
- 22:59Speaker 12: be looking at costs because they employed there. I can
- 23:02Speaker 12: think of a mate of mine who runs a workshop
- 23:05Speaker 12: as a business in Breckenhill, Randall Jones. Now go and
- 23:08Speaker 12: talk to him. He's a Trump lover. Go and talk
- 23:10Speaker 12: to him. Talk to the average person. Don't talk to
- 23:13Speaker 12: your greens, don't talk to your teals, because you'll just
- 23:16Speaker 12: get Trump derangement syndrame.
- 23:21Speaker 4: You know you talked about Trump's desire to drill, baby drill,
- 23:25Speaker 4: and you saw America was energy independent in his first term.
- 23:31Speaker 4: How important is that as a policy objective in the
- 23:35Speaker 4: States for the country to be energy independent.
- 23:39Speaker 12: Well, oil and gas are a newbal resource, so you've
- 23:41Speaker 12: got to keep drilling to replace what you use. It's
- 23:44Speaker 12: absolutely vital for the US and for Australia not to
- 23:48Speaker 12: be dependent upon other countries for their energy, not to
- 23:53Speaker 12: be dependent upon the seaways for their energy. And in
- 23:56Speaker 12: this country we don't have enough oil on our land.
- 24:01Speaker 12: We should be drilling from all. We should be actually
- 24:04Speaker 12: not using solar and wind, where we're absolutely dependent upon
- 24:09Speaker 12: the Chinese for the solar panels and for the turbines
- 24:14Speaker 12: for the wind generation. So I think he's absolutely the
- 24:17Speaker 12: right track. And especially in times where there's a little
- 24:20Speaker 12: bit of international tension, you need to be independent. You
- 24:23Speaker 12: need to be able to do everything on your own
- 24:25Speaker 12: land mass, and that's what Trump wants to do. By
- 24:29Speaker 12: doing it on your own land mass, what do you
- 24:31Speaker 12: do you create jobs?
- 24:35Speaker 4: There is that also, how isolated will Australia be if
- 24:38Speaker 4: we continue with our current nuclear ban. Even in the States,
- 24:44Speaker 4: even without Trump, both the Democrats and Republicans have recently
- 24:48Speaker 4: voted to accelerate their nuclear projects.
- 24:53Speaker 3: We seem to be an outlier in well.
- 24:57Speaker 12: There are hundreds of nuclear power facilities around the world.
- 25:00Speaker 12: We are the anomaly. We are becoming the laughing stock
- 25:03Speaker 12: because we export huge amounts of uranium and we import
- 25:07Speaker 12: devices from China which make our energy very, very expensive.
- 25:11Speaker 12: So we are already isolating ourselves by being the moral
- 25:16Speaker 12: anomally where we don't like electrons that have come from
- 25:20Speaker 12: nuclear decay, a natural process. We don't want that. So
- 25:24Speaker 12: what we're doing is isolating ourselves. We're increasing the cost
- 25:27Speaker 12: of our energy. That increases the cost of manufacturing, That
- 25:30Speaker 12: increases the cost of everything in this country, and it
- 25:33Speaker 12: also decreases the amount of the number of jobs that
- 25:36Speaker 12: we have in this country. So by not being sensible
- 25:39Speaker 12: and by not using the thousands of years of uranium,
- 25:43Speaker 12: coal and gas which we have in this country, then
- 25:46Speaker 12: we are putting ourselves strategically in a very dangerous position.
- 25:50Speaker 12: We don't have enough oil which has come from Australian soil.
- 25:54Speaker 12: We need to drill, baby, drill.
- 25:59Speaker 4: You've got to get that on a T shirt. Professor
- 26:00Speaker 4: Ian Plymer, thank you so much for your time this evening.
- 26:03Speaker 2: Thank you for having me.
- 26:05Speaker 4: Still to come a bumper edition of Lefties Losing It
- 26:08Speaker 4: and Alex Stein.
- 26:10Speaker 3: And Vivid Ruanaswami welcome back.
- 26:22Speaker 4: Now it's time for Lefties Losing It and we shall
- 26:25Speaker 4: get to some Kamala actions soon. But first, the Democrats
- 26:29Speaker 4: have a significant problem with weapon grade craziness in their side.
- 26:34Speaker 3: A sizeable portion.
- 26:35Speaker 4: Of their voters believe insane conspiracy theories, from the Russian
- 26:40Speaker 4: collusion hoax, to the Fine People hoax, to the assassination
- 26:45Speaker 4: attempt Truthers.
- 26:47Speaker 14: People, somebody died and two feel injured.
- 26:49Speaker 1: What do you think about that?
- 26:50Speaker 9: Mis Black bos Black.
- 26:52Speaker 15: I thought it was magnificently staged, It was professionally done.
- 26:56Speaker 15: It almost looked.
- 26:57Speaker 5: Real, we were wait stage by who oh, by mister Trump.
- 27:01Speaker 5: Of course, I think it's holding a stage.
- 27:03Speaker 4: Now, before you say, well, that's just a few wacky people.
- 27:06Speaker 4: Every political side has them. We are not talking about
- 27:08Speaker 4: a teeny tiny minority here. Thirty four percent of registered
- 27:12Speaker 4: Democrats believed Donald Trump staged his own assassination attempt, according
- 27:17Speaker 4: to a recent poll. That's one in three registered Dems
- 27:21Speaker 4: who believe Trump trusted a last millisecond head turn to
- 27:26Speaker 4: save his life and had three of his supporters shot,
- 27:29Speaker 4: one of them killed so he could stage an assassination
- 27:33Speaker 4: attempt and get that golden picture.
- 27:36Speaker 3: These people are nuts and they.
- 27:39Speaker 2: Vote, so you just thought it was fake.
- 27:42Speaker 14: Of course, one person died in the crowd too, critically injured.
- 27:45Speaker 9: What happened there.
- 27:46Speaker 15: Pace, It wouldn't matter to Trump. Do you think he
- 27:48Speaker 15: cares if people died for him to be elected? That
- 27:51Speaker 15: doesn't mean anything to Trump.
- 27:53Speaker 14: Now, so you think that they planned from one hundred
- 27:55Speaker 14: and thirty yards away to shoot off the corner of
- 27:57Speaker 14: his ear and.
- 27:58Speaker 15: They never shot off the corner of it. That was
- 28:00Speaker 15: all done by the people hanging around him with a
- 28:02Speaker 15: stage probably staged.
- 28:04Speaker 14: Okay, so you think Trump maybe staged a fake assassination
- 28:08Speaker 14: for support.
- 28:11Speaker 4: And why these Democrats so crazy? Well, it could be
- 28:16Speaker 4: the media that consume.
- 28:18Speaker 16: Why why don't we know that much? We know that
- 28:21Speaker 16: three people were shot, one person unfortunately was killed at
- 28:24Speaker 16: the rally. We don't know where they were sitting or
- 28:27Speaker 16: standing relative to him. We don't know why for nine
- 28:33Speaker 16: full seconds, Donald Trump was allowed to stand back up
- 28:39Speaker 16: during an active shooting, an active shooter situation. Yet they
- 28:43Speaker 16: allowed him to stand up in the middle of that,
- 28:48Speaker 16: you know, crisis and pose for a photo and this
- 28:54Speaker 16: pump the air so he could get the iconic photo.
- 28:58Speaker 16: And then they allowed him to stand up again outside
- 29:01Speaker 16: of the suv instead of just shoving him into the suv.
- 29:03Speaker 16: That seems really unusual. What is the actual injury to
- 29:07Speaker 16: Donald Trump's ear that's under that bandage? Shouldn't we know
- 29:10Speaker 16: that by now? It's weird and there doesn't seem to
- 29:13Speaker 16: be a whole lot of curiosity about it, you know
- 29:17Speaker 16: in the sort of media world you know my profession.
- 29:20Speaker 16: It's weird. Right, Where are the Foyers. Why isn't the
- 29:23Speaker 16: New York Times like aggressively pursuing his medical records?
- 29:29Speaker 4: Yes, that's joy raid and anchor on MSNBC as for
- 29:34Speaker 4: lowering the temperature to stop the art and a reckless
- 29:37Speaker 4: rectric and lies around Trump painting him is some sort
- 29:40Speaker 4: of a modern day Hitler who is.
- 29:42Speaker 3: A threat to democracy. Well, that didn't last long. Here
- 29:46Speaker 3: is IOC.
- 29:48Speaker 17: Donald Trump is also very old and a racist and
- 29:56Speaker 17: a neo Nazi. But anyways, I'm not even going to
- 29:58Speaker 17: talk about Trump right now.
- 30:00Speaker 4: She's not going to talk about him other than calling
- 30:03Speaker 4: him a racist near Nazi. But I tell you who
- 30:07Speaker 4: are not assassination truthers. That's professional base ballers. Here is
- 30:12Speaker 4: Taylor Walls from the Tampa Bay Rays giving the Trump
- 30:17Speaker 4: fight fist pump during a game.
- 30:20Speaker 8: Two base head for Taylor Waalds and now he's a
- 30:23Speaker 8: scoring possession.
- 30:24Speaker 4: And here are players from the Cardinals doing the ear
- 30:29Speaker 4: hold at fist pump double. Can you imagine these tributes
- 30:33Speaker 4: to Trump happening a few years ago.
- 30:35Speaker 3: It would be unimaginable. Things have changed.
- 30:45Speaker 4: Before we get to the real Kamala, Let's have a
- 30:48Speaker 4: look at THEEP and this scene is a case of
- 30:52Speaker 4: life imitating art.
- 30:54Speaker 16: I am not leaving, Potus is leaving going to run
- 31:00Speaker 16: for a second term.
- 31:01Speaker 3: I'm going to run.
- 31:11Speaker 11: Let's go.
- 31:14Speaker 4: Bot and this mash up all vape Selena Mayas and
- 31:18Speaker 4: vape Kamala Harris is uh, well, it's lefties losing a gold.
- 31:24Speaker 7: Words have many meanings, and sometimes instead of conveying our meaning,
- 31:28Speaker 7: they can suggest other meanings.
- 31:29Speaker 6: When we talk about the children of the community, they
- 31:32Speaker 6: are a children of the community.
- 31:35Speaker 18: Well, we are the United States of America because we
- 31:38Speaker 18: are united.
- 31:39Speaker 3: And we are states.
- 31:41Speaker 6: Are the significance of the passage of time, right, the
- 31:44Speaker 6: significance of the passage of time. So when you think
- 31:48Speaker 6: about it, there is great significance to the passage of time.
- 31:51Speaker 16: Whatever we have in store cannot be known.
- 31:58Speaker 7: The past was once the future, the future is, i
- 32:02Speaker 7: should say unknown.
- 32:03Speaker 6: We've got to take this stuff seriously as seriously as
- 32:06Speaker 6: you are, because you have been forced to have to
- 32:07Speaker 6: take it seriously.
- 32:08Speaker 16: Ob city is a serious disease and it needs to
- 32:11Speaker 16: be taken seriously.
- 32:13Speaker 6: Certain issues are just settled, clearly, we're not. No, that's right,
- 32:16Speaker 6: and that's why I do believe that we are living
- 32:19Speaker 6: sadly in real unsettled times.
- 32:23Speaker 4: Now to more, Kamala, remember when she was finally asked
- 32:27Speaker 4: about her failures as the borders are we.
- 32:30Speaker 11: Are going to the border. We've been to the border.
- 32:32Speaker 11: So this whole, this whole, this whole thing about the border.
- 32:36Speaker 11: We've been to the border. We've been to the border.
- 32:38Speaker 1: You haven't been to the border.
- 32:40Speaker 6: And I haven't been to Europe.
- 32:42Speaker 3: And don't ever have Kamala try to explain international conflicts.
- 32:48Speaker 19: Ukraine is a country in Europe. It exists next to
- 32:54Speaker 19: another country called Russia. Russia is a bigger country, Russia
- 32:58Speaker 19: is a powerful country, Russia to invade a smaller country
- 33:02Speaker 19: called Ukraine. So basically, that's wrong.
- 33:05Speaker 3: That's wrong. Yes it is.
- 33:07Speaker 4: And by the way, she was speaking to adults there,
- 33:09Speaker 4: it wasn't some discussion with fourth graders. Here is Kamala
- 33:14Speaker 4: talking to some young uns.
- 33:16Speaker 6: You guys are going to see You're gonna literally see
- 33:19Speaker 6: the creators on.
- 33:20Speaker 10: The moon with your own eyes, with your own eyes,
- 33:25Speaker 10: I'm telling you.
- 33:27Speaker 3: Poor kids. At least she didn't tell them her I
- 33:30Speaker 3: don't know pronouns. Good afternoon.
- 33:33Speaker 6: I want to love them these leaders for coming in
- 33:36Speaker 6: to have this very important discussion about some of the
- 33:40Speaker 6: most pressing issues of our time. I am Kamala Harris,
- 33:46Speaker 6: my punouns are she and her? I'm a woman sitting
- 33:48Speaker 6: at the table wearing a blue suit.
- 33:52Speaker 4: And if you're wondering why she has never won a
- 33:55Speaker 4: presidential primary, well here's a reminder.
- 33:58Speaker 9: Vice President, have a point there.
- 34:00Speaker 2: Some things you can, many things you can.
- 34:02Speaker 9: Let's let the senator answer.
- 34:04Speaker 6: Well, I mean I would just say, hey, Joe, it's
- 34:07Speaker 6: said as saying that we can't.
- 34:09Speaker 10: Let's say yes we can. Let's be controcusial, yes we can.
- 34:16Speaker 6: Because he reminds me of that guy in the Wizard
- 34:19Speaker 6: of Oz. You know, when you pull up the curtain,
- 34:21Speaker 6: it's a really small dude.
- 34:26Speaker 3: Okay, And who can forget this golden moment when Tulsea
- 34:34Speaker 3: Gabbard demolished Kamala and her rotten record.
- 34:38Speaker 18: Senator Harris says she's proud of her record as a
- 34:41Speaker 18: prosecutor and that she'll be a prosecutor president.
- 34:44Speaker 9: But I'm deeply.
- 34:44Speaker 11: Concerned about this record.
- 34:46Speaker 18: There are too many examples to cite. But she put
- 34:49Speaker 18: over fifteen hundred people in jail for marijuana violations and
- 34:52Speaker 18: then laughed about it when she was asked if she
- 34:54Speaker 18: ever smoked marijuana.
- 34:56Speaker 11: She blocked evidence.
- 34:58Speaker 18: She blocked evidence that I would have freedom an innocent
- 35:01Speaker 18: man from death row until the courts forced her to
- 35:04Speaker 18: do so.
- 35:05Speaker 11: She kept people in.
- 35:06Speaker 18: Prison beyond their sentences to use them as cheap labor
- 35:09Speaker 18: for the state of California, and she fought to keep
- 35:12Speaker 18: cash fail system in place that impacts poor people in
- 35:16Speaker 18: the worst kind of way.
- 35:18Speaker 4: She's so likable, so relatable, so down with the kids,
- 35:22Speaker 4: and as always Wakanda forever.
- 35:27Speaker 11: Paid for by Kamala Harris.
- 35:29Speaker 4: Look, she really is down with the kids. She's out
- 35:32Speaker 4: there on those streets.
- 35:33Speaker 3: Child.
- 35:34Speaker 10: Our basic freedoms are being tested, Madam BP.
- 35:37Speaker 16: I know you've been sure having a cross country What
- 35:40Speaker 16: are you hearing?
- 35:41Speaker 6: Yeah, girl, I'm out here in these streets, and let
- 35:43Speaker 6: me tell you you're right to Raji. There is so
- 35:45Speaker 6: much at stake in this moment. The majority of us
- 35:48Speaker 6: believe in.
- 35:50Speaker 3: Freedom still to come.
- 35:52Speaker 4: Alex don joins me with some exclusive and musa, I
- 35:56Speaker 4: don't want to miss that.
- 36:06Speaker 3: Welcome back.
- 36:07Speaker 4: Joining me now is host of Prime Time with Alex
- 36:10Speaker 4: Stein from Blaze Television is our favorite Texan Alex Stein.
- 36:16Speaker 4: Let's talk about former Republican presidential candidate Vivic Ramaswami.
- 36:20Speaker 3: He must be feeling a bit smug today.
- 36:23Speaker 4: He predicted what looks happened today early is April twenty
- 36:28Speaker 4: twenty three, he was on the record saying Joe Biden
- 36:32Speaker 4: will not be the Democrat nominee for president.
- 36:35Speaker 2: There's a myth that President Biden's running for president.
- 36:38Speaker 14: I think they just put a brain dead, hollowed out
- 36:40Speaker 14: husk of a human being in the White.
- 36:41Speaker 5: House because that's more convenient for that.
- 36:43Speaker 2: The risk is a thinking person could change their mind.
- 36:45Speaker 2: They don't want somebody who could change their mind.
- 36:47Speaker 1: They want Joe Biden.
- 36:48Speaker 14: My words, Joe Biden will not be the nominee in
- 36:50Speaker 14: the Democratic College. We know he's not even the president
- 36:53Speaker 14: of the United States. He's a puppet for the managerial class.
- 36:56Speaker 2: Step up and be.
- 36:57Speaker 14: Honest about who you're actually going to put up so we.
- 36:59Speaker 3: Can have an artist debate. Biden should step aside.
- 37:02Speaker 9: Shall we can see whether it's Newsome.
- 37:03Speaker 14: Or Michelle Obama or whoever else.
- 37:05Speaker 1: Are just tell us the truth.
- 37:06Speaker 9: Should we can have an antiba.
- 37:09Speaker 4: In an interview after that infamous debate, he told Fox
- 37:12Speaker 4: News he wasn't surprised that Democrats were panicking, and again
- 37:17Speaker 4: restated his view.
- 37:18Speaker 3: That Biden will be booted out.
- 37:21Speaker 20: I spoke to you pre debate, and you told me
- 37:23Speaker 20: Biden would not be the nominee. You've been saying it
- 37:25Speaker 20: over and over and over post debate. I suspect you
- 37:30Speaker 20: still believe that, But tell me how it plays out.
- 37:34Speaker 14: Look, I think that the reality is the managerial class
- 37:37Speaker 14: around Biden has lost their use for him. This has
- 37:39Speaker 14: been obvious to me since last year. Play out the incentives.
- 37:43Speaker 14: He is not the strongest candidate they can put up,
- 37:45Speaker 14: and these people, they have stopped at nothing to keep
- 37:47Speaker 14: Donald J.
- 37:47Speaker 3: Trump out of office.
- 37:49Speaker 4: Alex Viveck, I don't know he's got some sort of
- 37:51Speaker 4: nostrodamis like abilities because a lot of people may have
- 37:55Speaker 4: thought that, but he put his reputation on the line,
- 37:57Speaker 4: said it on the record publicly. Uh, tell me what
- 38:01Speaker 4: you make of today's momentous news.
- 38:05Speaker 21: Well, it's a huge day in American politics having a
- 38:08Speaker 21: sitting president saying that he's going to, you know, withdraw
- 38:11Speaker 21: from his campaign while still being the president. So it
- 38:13Speaker 21: kind of shows you that if he's not capable to
- 38:15Speaker 21: even run a campaign, he's definitely not capable to be
- 38:18Speaker 21: the president. But you know, Vivek is not so much
- 38:21Speaker 21: clairvoyant as much as he is honest.
- 38:24Speaker 5: Anybody that's actually been paying attention.
- 38:25Speaker 21: Knows that Joe Biden has been a walking, talking potato
- 38:29Speaker 21: for the past four years, and Vivek is obviously one correct,
- 38:33Speaker 21: but it's because he's so dialed in and he's paying attention.
- 38:37Speaker 21: And that's the problem here in America riad is that
- 38:39Speaker 21: nobody's paying attention. And now I think people will. I
- 38:42Speaker 21: think people were going to start paying attention. And that's
- 38:44Speaker 21: why they did this as a last ditch effort, because
- 38:46Speaker 21: they knew that Joe Biden's not popular enough to even
- 38:49Speaker 21: be close to Donald Trump. After Donald Trump put his
- 38:52Speaker 21: fist in the air and you know, defeated.
- 38:54Speaker 2: A terrorist attack.
- 38:55Speaker 21: Uh So, now this is their Hail Mary, last ditch
- 38:58Speaker 21: effort to try to put a one in. And I
- 39:00Speaker 21: wouldn't be surprised if Michelle Obama or you know, Pete
- 39:03Speaker 21: boodhaj Edge the first gay vice president.
- 39:06Speaker 5: You know, it's going to be something like that.
- 39:09Speaker 2: In my opinion, Well, how.
- 39:13Speaker 4: Do you think the American public will react? I mean,
- 39:15Speaker 4: I'm sure they're going to have a boost the Democrats,
- 39:18Speaker 4: they're going to have some sort of a honeymoon honeymoon period.
- 39:22Speaker 4: The media is going to be on side, and they're.
- 39:24Speaker 3: Already trying to rewrite Kamala's backstory, painting her as some
- 39:31Speaker 3: sort of inspirational figure is going to bring the country together.
- 39:35Speaker 3: Is it going to work?
- 39:36Speaker 4: We've seen them fortify an election in the past. Could
- 39:40Speaker 4: they pull it off again?
- 39:43Speaker 2: You know, Rita, I want to be like Vivek and
- 39:45Speaker 2: I want to be honest.
- 39:46Speaker 21: Even people on the left, I feel are a little misogynistic.
- 39:50Speaker 21: And I know that sounds crazy, but I do believe people,
- 39:52Speaker 21: even on the left, are not going to want a
- 39:54Speaker 21: woman president. I don't think people mind having a woman
- 39:56Speaker 21: vice president, but I think, you know a lot of
- 39:59Speaker 21: gay men are What is that crazy to say that
- 40:02Speaker 21: a lot of people are not going to want a
- 40:03Speaker 21: female president.
- 40:04Speaker 3: The reason why it's crazy?
- 40:06Speaker 16: Well, the reason why?
- 40:10Speaker 2: Well what then?
- 40:10Speaker 21: I think that people don't want to be both president
- 40:12Speaker 21: so unlikable.
- 40:14Speaker 4: If they just put up a female who was actually
- 40:18Speaker 4: accomplished and likable and electable, she would have won.
- 40:23Speaker 3: But they put up Hillary and now they've got Kamala.
- 40:25Speaker 4: It's like they're determined to make the female presidential candidates fail.
- 40:30Speaker 2: Well, they had to go to cheat.
- 40:32Speaker 21: You know, she's going to be the president by default
- 40:34Speaker 21: because of all of Joe Biden's work.
- 40:36Speaker 2: Listen, you're right. If a woman was capable, she could
- 40:39Speaker 2: be president.
- 40:40Speaker 4: Pakistan's elected a woman, you know, they elected a woman
- 40:44Speaker 4: decades ago in the UK as leader. I'm sure Americans
- 40:48Speaker 4: are ready, but for the right woman, They're not just
- 40:50Speaker 4: going to vote for anybody on the vet. Gramaswami, I
- 40:55Speaker 4: think he would be absolutely a crucial person to have
- 41:00Speaker 4: in a Trump White House, to have someone there with
- 41:04Speaker 4: his judgment looking at for the president, giving him advice.
- 41:09Speaker 3: Do you see that happening or is there a rift
- 41:13Speaker 3: between him and the Trump camp?
- 41:16Speaker 5: Oh? Not any riffs whatsoever.
- 41:18Speaker 21: You could just see Eric Trump was talking about how
- 41:20Speaker 21: he's actually disappointed that he's not going to see a
- 41:22Speaker 21: vague debating against Kamala Harris or Kamala Harris's future vice
- 41:26Speaker 21: president candidate, whoever.
- 41:27Speaker 2: That would be so No, I.
- 41:28Speaker 21: Think the Trump campaign loves a vake. You know, he
- 41:30Speaker 21: has a lot of libertarian policies. Donald Trump said he
- 41:32Speaker 21: wants to put a libertarian in his cabinet. So I
- 41:35Speaker 21: think Vivek Ramaswami being such an eloquent speaker, being so professional,
- 41:39Speaker 21: being successful, and his connection with JD.
- 41:42Speaker 5: Vance, I think there's no doubt in my mind that.
- 41:44Speaker 21: He will have a spot in the Donald Trump cabinet
- 41:47Speaker 21: of twenty twenty four.
- 41:50Speaker 4: I think he would be an enormous asset. And he
- 41:52Speaker 4: talked about what an eloquent speaker he is. I think
- 41:55Speaker 4: he gave one of the very best speeches at the
- 41:58Speaker 4: Republican National Convention.
- 42:00Speaker 18: Let's have a quick look, because you know what, Fear
- 42:04Speaker 18: has been infectious in this country, but courage can be
- 42:07Speaker 18: contagious too.
- 42:08Speaker 2: That too, is what it means to.
- 42:09Speaker 9: Be an American.
- 42:14Speaker 14: And you know what, if you're at home and you
- 42:18Speaker 14: disagree with everything I just said, our message to you
- 42:20Speaker 14: is this. We will still defend it to the death,
- 42:24Speaker 14: your right to say it, because that is who we
- 42:27Speaker 14: are as Americans.
- 42:28Speaker 4: The reception he got was absolutely fantastic. But then he
- 42:34Speaker 4: was harassed by you out on the street. He was
- 42:38Speaker 4: on the phone trying to add a no close some
- 42:40Speaker 4: important deal and this happened.
- 42:43Speaker 21: Literallylator I j But then he named his son Bank
- 42:48Speaker 21: after you.
- 42:48Speaker 5: What do you mean about that?
- 42:51Speaker 14: We've been good friends for a long time.
- 42:52Speaker 3: But we've been good friends, you ask him many.
- 42:56Speaker 2: In law school, though, right, we were good.
- 42:58Speaker 14: Good ones for a long time, So it's not after you.
- 43:04Speaker 4: Alex you've just a trouble tell us about that encounter.
- 43:10Speaker 4: Did you end up catching up with him.
- 43:12Speaker 3: Later and getting some straight answers?
- 43:13Speaker 4: And are you suggesting that the future Vice president jd
- 43:17Speaker 4: Vance named his son after the vic.
- 43:21Speaker 21: This is breaking Sky News Australia exclusive news. If people
- 43:25Speaker 21: don't realize that jd Vance I vike Ramaswami were law
- 43:29Speaker 21: school buddies, also with jd Vance's.
- 43:31Speaker 2: Wife, they were very good friends.
- 43:33Speaker 21: And I know Vivek is a popular Indian name, but
- 43:35Speaker 21: vivike Ramaswami's a popular guy.
- 43:37Speaker 2: I would have no shame.
- 43:38Speaker 21: In naming my son after Viveke Ramaswami, especially considering, you know,
- 43:42Speaker 21: it's a it's a culturally significant name. So I just
- 43:45Speaker 21: was bringing that up because I thought it was kind
- 43:46Speaker 21: of a funny story that not enough people were talking
- 43:48Speaker 21: about that the two people that were basically the front
- 43:51Speaker 21: runners for the vice president, you know, the vice presidency
- 43:54Speaker 21: for Donald Trump, are so connected that one of their
- 43:57Speaker 21: sons is named after him.
- 43:58Speaker 2: So it was kind of a funny bit.
- 43:59Speaker 21: But now his video is going viral, so you know,
- 44:01Speaker 21: we broke it here on Sky News that jd Vance
- 44:05Speaker 21: named his third son or his third child after Vivek Brahmoswami,
- 44:11Speaker 21: it is.
- 44:13Speaker 3: The party unity cannot be denied.
- 44:16Speaker 4: But what do you make of the reactions we have
- 44:20Speaker 4: seen in the past week to the Republican National.
- 44:24Speaker 3: Convention, to the shooting.
- 44:27Speaker 4: Now, it's been a good week since that attempted assassination.
- 44:32Speaker 3: Some of the commentary from the US media has been unhinged.
- 44:37Speaker 3: We're talking about people who are.
- 44:41Speaker 4: Anchors on major networks like MSNBC.
- 44:45Speaker 3: Saying the most insane.
- 44:47Speaker 4: Stuff on air, and no wonder, a third of republic Democrats,
- 44:52Speaker 4: I should say a third of Democrats seem to think
- 44:55Speaker 4: that the entire assassination attempt was some sort of a
- 44:58Speaker 4: plot engineered by Donald Trump.
- 45:02Speaker 21: You know, during COVID they called all the right wingers
- 45:05Speaker 21: conspiracists or conspiracy theorists. Now everybody on the left is
- 45:08Speaker 21: a conspiracy theorist, so you know, it's kind of just
- 45:10Speaker 21: the kettle calling the pot black or whatever the saying is.
- 45:13Speaker 5: It seems very hypocritical.
- 45:15Speaker 21: But you know, the worst and most repugnant thing is
- 45:17Speaker 21: not only did MSNBC use a fake backdrop because they
- 45:20Speaker 21: didn't have the courage to actually go to the RNC,
- 45:22Speaker 21: but then Whoopy Goldberg had the audacity to basically attack
- 45:26Speaker 21: Kai Trump, seventeen year old granddaughter to President Trump.
- 45:29Speaker 2: So these people are sick. They'll go after anything.
- 45:31Speaker 21: They'll go after a kid speaking on the biggest stage
- 45:34Speaker 21: in the world.
- 45:34Speaker 2: How stressful that would be.
- 45:36Speaker 21: And to even say something negative about that just shows
- 45:39Speaker 21: you how repugnant their personalities really are on the And
- 45:42Speaker 21: it's not all.
- 45:42Speaker 5: Lefties, but the ones of the mainstream media.
- 45:44Speaker 21: They seem to all have a pattern of just insane
- 45:48Speaker 21: rhetoric that is just unfair in my personal opinion.
- 45:53Speaker 3: Oh look, I absolutely agree with you.
- 45:55Speaker 4: I thought Whoope's comments which just deplorable to have a
- 46:00Speaker 4: go at Kai, who's a child, to say.
- 46:03Speaker 3: That she was trying to humanize her.
- 46:05Speaker 4: Grandfather, as if that's a bad thing or as if
- 46:08Speaker 4: that's something that is false, and that was her objection
- 46:13Speaker 4: to that speech. And then you had Joy Behar having
- 46:16Speaker 4: a go at Trump for saying that it feels that
- 46:19Speaker 4: God protected him, saying that that's an anti Christian thing
- 46:23Speaker 4: to say, that's a narcissistic thing to say. Christians don't
- 46:26Speaker 4: talk that way, As if she would have any clue
- 46:28Speaker 4: I looked how Christians talk. Now let's get back to
- 46:32Speaker 4: you and your antics, because you also made a cameoon
- 46:36Speaker 4: on Piers Morgan's Uncensored last week.
- 46:39Speaker 3: I don't think you were invited on the program. You
- 46:41Speaker 3: just did this.
- 46:44Speaker 2: Thank you transgender. I don't know, Hey, get out of here, man.
- 46:51Speaker 12: What the hell Jesus Christ with these lunatic Republicans?
- 46:56Speaker 3: Oh that was fun. He didn't react too well. Tell
- 47:00Speaker 3: me what happened after that little incident.
- 47:03Speaker 2: No, Sank was very frustrated.
- 47:05Speaker 5: You know, he'd actually spoken not so highly of me,
- 47:08Speaker 5: but he did like that.
- 47:08Speaker 21: I go to public meetings and confront politicians, even though
- 47:11Speaker 21: him and I aren't politically aligned. But the point I
- 47:14Speaker 21: was just trying to make is that at that exact
- 47:16Speaker 21: time I was looking and watching the interview, he was
- 47:18Speaker 21: over there being sympathetic to the assassin that tried to
- 47:21Speaker 21: kill President Trump.
- 47:22Speaker 2: So I just I have to.
- 47:23Speaker 21: Go there and interact or interrupt it because I just
- 47:26Speaker 21: didn't like his rhetoric. And yeah, I know that probably
- 47:28Speaker 21: crossed the line, but this is Sank. This is a
- 47:30Speaker 21: guy that said at one point he was bestiality should
- 47:33Speaker 21: be legal.
- 47:34Speaker 5: He did say this, so you know, he's a very
- 47:36Speaker 5: unusual guy.
- 47:37Speaker 2: Yes, he did read a look it up.
- 47:39Speaker 21: Yes, he said, as long as the animal is not
- 47:41Speaker 21: getting abused, look it up.
- 47:44Speaker 2: It's real. I couldn't believe. It's the most insane thing.
- 47:46Speaker 2: I should have brought that up.
- 47:47Speaker 5: But after the fact it went viral.
- 47:49Speaker 21: That video got millions of views, and other people are
- 47:51Speaker 21: tweeting the video of him saying bestiality should be legal.
- 47:53Speaker 21: Don't believe me, Go do the research yourself. But this
- 47:56Speaker 21: guy is a weirdo, and I do.
- 47:59Speaker 2: I do a play. And for having the courage to
- 48:01Speaker 2: go to the RNC.
- 48:02Speaker 5: But sank is a you know, he said, Yeah, he's
- 48:05Speaker 5: a lefty.
- 48:06Speaker 4: What can we We can't. It's incurable with some of
- 48:09Speaker 4: these people. Some of them can be saved. Some it's incurable.
- 48:13Speaker 4: Alex Stein, we love your work. Thank you so much
- 48:15Speaker 4: for your time this evening.
- 48:17Speaker 2: And let me say this, Rita, a woman can be president.
- 48:19Speaker 2: I just don't think Kamala Harris is.
- 48:21Speaker 21: People will be misogynistic towards her specifically. I'd like to
- 48:24Speaker 21: correct the record. Thank you for correcting news well. And
- 48:26Speaker 21: I missed you, Rita. Thank you for having me.
- 48:28Speaker 3: I've missed you too.
- 48:30Speaker 4: Okay, good night, that's it from May up Next is Newsnight.
- 48:35Speaker 3: Good Night,
