- 0:01Speaker 1: Jerry Katy and Josh one hundred. I got a whole
- 0:05Speaker 1: stack of stuff here. It's a little odds and end segment.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Like I said, the key to tell you right owners,
- 0:12Speaker 1: there's so many.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Of them, They're everywhere everywhere. That's like the most the
- 0:17Speaker 2: vehicle I see the most out there is probably the
- 0:18Speaker 2: key to tell you ride.
- 0:19Speaker 1: I did an endorsement for Kia not too long ago,
- 0:24Speaker 1: and the GM at the dealership was like, we cannot
- 0:26Speaker 1: keep these things on the lots. As soon as they
- 0:28Speaker 1: come in, boom, they're gone. Well, anyway, this is kind
- 0:31Speaker 1: of scary, So heads up to all the Key I
- 0:32Speaker 1: tell you ride owners. Roughly almost half a billion of
- 0:36Speaker 1: them have been recalled because there's a little switch I
- 0:40Speaker 1: guess on the side of the seat that can get stuck,
- 0:45Speaker 1: so the power seat motor can essentially overheat and catch
- 0:50Speaker 1: your car on fire. All things to be worried about
- 0:54Speaker 1: your little a little back and forth thing on the
- 0:58Speaker 1: on the seat. So they're encouraging people to get into
- 1:01Speaker 1: a dealership they do like a little fuse thing on
- 1:03Speaker 1: there to try to fix it. But in the meantime
- 1:06Speaker 1: they are encouraging people that have Ki Telia rights to
- 1:09Speaker 1: be parking their vehicles outside, you know, just in case
- 1:12Speaker 1: it blows up or something.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Goodness, he's half a million people are dealing with that.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Well half a billion. Check that, yeah, half a million,
- 1:21Speaker 1: half a million. I added a zero. That's a lot
- 1:24Speaker 1: of people.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Geez.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Anyway, So check your key tail right, make sure that
- 1:28Speaker 1: little motor's not sitting there going fine.
- 1:31Speaker 4: That's just going to press you up against the steering wheel.
- 1:33Speaker 2: You like, you'll never stop.
- 1:34Speaker 1: I'm going story about ants this morning. If you see
- 1:39Speaker 1: an ant in your kitchen, your first instinct is probably
- 1:42Speaker 1: to squish it, right. Biology experts are saying, don't squish
- 1:46Speaker 1: ants in your house because it's gonna make the problem worse.
- 1:50Speaker 3: I didn't know this.
- 1:51Speaker 1: When you sqush an ant, it automatically releases pheromones that
- 1:56Speaker 1: signal to other ants in the area or in the
- 1:58Speaker 1: colony that there is distress somewhere. And what happens, All
- 2:03Speaker 1: the other ants rush over to remove the body or
- 2:06Speaker 1: to help that ant, and the next thing you know,
- 2:09Speaker 1: you've got a swarm of ants in your house. It's
- 2:12Speaker 1: kind of like like if you're at the club at night,
- 2:14Speaker 1: you know, the big girl dancing up on you. Guys
- 2:18Speaker 1: release pheromones or other buddies come over.
- 2:20Speaker 2: And save him, or vice versa. If you're a girl
- 2:24Speaker 2: and so no sweaty.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Gush end of the night, that big girl's on you
- 2:29Speaker 3: and you're like pheromones.
- 2:30Speaker 2: No, that goes both ways.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Where my boys, you know, they rush over and they
- 2:35Speaker 3: carry you off. Anyway, you should.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Just go put your aunt outside, Put your aunt outside?
- 2:44Speaker 3: Are you laughing at Joe?
- 2:45Speaker 4: I didn't think you'd say that, But nothing, get off me.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Have you had that problem so many times that that
- 2:56Speaker 2: was your example?
- 2:57Speaker 3: Oh yeah, you've been at the club at the end
- 2:58Speaker 3: of the night, you know, and Pickens. You know you
- 3:01Speaker 3: got the big girl on you.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Jervase, My boys come rushing over and they lift me
- 3:13Speaker 1: up and carry me out.
- 3:14Speaker 2: We have wing women too, just so you know, all right.
- 3:19Speaker 3: And then the final thing I have is the how
- 3:21Speaker 3: do you even say this?
- 3:23Speaker 1: The sicklos spora has that house the lettuce turds, the
- 3:28Speaker 1: nation lettuce infection. They're saying it's the worst year on
- 3:32Speaker 1: record for this type of infection from produce, something like
- 3:39Speaker 1: close to five thousand infections already. The weird thing is
- 3:42Speaker 1: is thirty three hundred of these are coming out of Michigan.
- 3:45Speaker 1: There's a lot of going on in Michigan. Is happening
- 3:48Speaker 1: in Michigan again, more evidence pointing to lettuce any sort
- 3:51Speaker 1: of green salad mixes.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Luckily no deaths have been reported.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Goodness, because it seems like it really makes you sick.
- 4:00Speaker 4: Just pooping themselves.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Okay, Yeah, So I was talking to knick Knack about
- 4:02Speaker 1: this last night. I was like, Oh, what's the big deal?
- 4:04Speaker 3: It sounds refreshing.
- 4:05Speaker 1: She's like, apparently, if you look into this like it
- 4:09Speaker 1: happens incredibly unexpectedly, you have no notice.
- 4:13Speaker 3: All of a sudden, you'll be.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Sitting there and you're like, oh my god, I can't
- 4:16Speaker 1: stop it, and you'll just release.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Did you imagine if we're just doing the show right
- 4:21Speaker 2: here and all of a sudden, I know.
- 4:23Speaker 3: She's like, what if it happens at work. I'm like, well,
- 4:25Speaker 3: then your coworkers are gonna know you on a whole
- 4:27Speaker 3: different level.
- 4:28Speaker 2: I guess we're already pretty close.
- 4:30Speaker 1: But it's like, it is so bad that your poor
- 4:34Speaker 1: little sphincter cannot hold on and that damn will break
- 4:37Speaker 1: like and it.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Is like constant. That's what they're saying is it's just
- 4:41Speaker 2: like you let.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Things go good.
- 4:44Speaker 2: I didn't even know you still had any. But the
- 4:46Speaker 2: good news is, here's the thing. This is a nationwide
- 4:49Speaker 2: issue right now, so when they're talking about it, they're
- 4:51Speaker 2: really talking about it in that dynamic. But Colorado, the
- 4:55Speaker 2: Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment said the number
- 4:58Speaker 2: of cases in Colorado this year is fairly typical. This
- 5:02Speaker 2: is about how many cases we see every year because
- 5:05Speaker 2: this is not a new thing. It happens all the time,
- 5:07Speaker 2: and it usually is caused by the fruit and vegetables
- 5:11Speaker 2: that were contaminated by irrigation water tainted with feces, So
- 5:14Speaker 2: not a new thing, it has happened before. And the
- 5:17Speaker 2: bad foods, like you said, prepackaged lettuce and salad mixes,
- 5:21Speaker 2: raspberry cilantro, that kind of stuff. But there's things you
- 5:23Speaker 2: can do to like combat it, even if you are
- 5:26Speaker 2: really worry even if you're like, no, Katie, I'm not
- 5:28Speaker 2: eating those things, even if Colorado's not at risk. Well,
- 5:30Speaker 2: they're saying, like, if you have a salad every day,
- 5:33Speaker 2: instead have like a stir fry bowl or a bowl
- 5:37Speaker 2: of yeah, because then you're still getting your veggies and everything,
- 5:39Speaker 2: but in a different way them because that's the key.
- 5:42Speaker 2: You have to cook your vegetables or make sure you're
- 5:45Speaker 2: using frozen vegetables or fruit. So there's some things that
- 5:50Speaker 2: you can do, but I think the wide scope of
- 5:52Speaker 2: things is saying everyone is at risk. Where Colorado we're
- 5:55Speaker 2: still pretty safe with it.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Still I am not eating bag lettuce right now. It
- 5:59Speaker 3: is fun because most of this is coming from the
- 6:01Speaker 3: lettuce issues. Okay, that's like the main thing that you know.
- 6:04Speaker 1: There's no lettuce in the produce section at stores right
- 6:07Speaker 1: now and fast food companies that pulled the lettuce. But
- 6:10Speaker 1: I was reading the stats in about I think it
- 6:12Speaker 1: was like sixty percent of the cases are women. Oh no,
- 6:18Speaker 1: spot on it because all my wife eats is salads. Like,
- 6:22Speaker 1: if we go out to dinner, she's getting a salad.
- 6:24Speaker 1: What do you want for dinner at home? I want
- 6:26Speaker 1: a salad. So it's all the ladies and the salads
- 6:29Speaker 1: that you guys love. There are us guys over here
- 6:31Speaker 1: just eating our cheeseburgers and pigan on. It ain't nobody
- 6:35Speaker 1: getting I feel great cheeseburger at some point on the show.
- 6:41Speaker 1: I honestly would love to talk to somebody who's had
- 6:43Speaker 1: these the lettuce diarrhea and just to kind of hear
- 6:46Speaker 1: like what they're going through, like a firsthand experience.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I heard it's like antibiotics that will help
- 6:52Speaker 2: you clear up, right, Like do you get prescribed anabiotics,
- 6:55Speaker 2: You go to the doctor, it'll take care of it.
- 6:57Speaker 2: But a lot of people aren't doing that because they
- 7:00Speaker 2: thinks of antabiotics when you get you know, those symptoms.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, I mean luckily nobody's died, but like I
- 7:06Speaker 1: said yesterday, like honestly, after vacation and eating out for
- 7:09Speaker 1: like ten days, I know, it sounds incredibly refreshing.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Ah dairy, right, homie.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Right, it's like starting fresh. It's like a colon clean.
- 7:23Speaker 3: It is a clean slate for sure.
- 7:26Speaker 1: At some point on the show, I honestly would love
- 7:28Speaker 1: to talk to somebody who's had these the lettuce diarrhea
- 7:32Speaker 1: and just to kind of hear like what they're going through,
- 7:34Speaker 1: like a firsthand experience.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Yeah well, I heard it's like antibiotics that will help
- 7:38Speaker 2: you clear up, right, Like do you get prescribed antabotics,
- 7:42Speaker 2: You go to the doctor, it'll take care of it.
- 7:44Speaker 2: But a lot of people aren't doing that, Like who
- 7:46Speaker 2: thinks of antibiotics when you get, you know, those symptoms.
- 7:49Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I mean luckily nobody's died.
- 7:52Speaker 1: But like I said yesterday, like honestly, after vacation and
- 7:55Speaker 1: eating out for like ten days, I know, it sounds
- 7:57Speaker 1: incredibly refreshing, you, right, Homie, right, same, It's like starting fresh.
- 8:08Speaker 2: It's like a clean flight.
- 8:10Speaker 4: It is a clean for sure.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Katie started talking about Baby Nana yesterday and what she's collecting,
- 8:15Speaker 1: and I guess this is the thing.
- 8:17Speaker 2: Huh, well, yeah, well here's the thing is, Baby Nana
- 8:19Speaker 2: has always loved stuffed animals, like even when she was
- 8:23Speaker 2: a baby, the bigger the stuffed animal, the bigger, the
- 8:26Speaker 2: smile on her face, like she's always just been fascinating
- 8:29Speaker 2: with all of them, like all of them. And so
- 8:33Speaker 2: she's got older and even you know, moved out of
- 8:36Speaker 2: the house and everything, she still asks for stuffed animals
- 8:40Speaker 2: and all that stuff. And I was just like, is
- 8:43Speaker 2: this ever gonna end? Like is this always gonna be
- 8:45Speaker 2: a thing for you? And now we have like the
- 8:47Speaker 2: La Boo boos, And if you're familiar with the jelly cats,
- 8:51Speaker 2: oh gosh, I just spent a whole hour in New
- 8:54Speaker 2: York about jelly cats. But she's always kind of gravitated
- 8:58Speaker 2: towards these things trendy little stuffed animals that people start buying,
- 9:03Speaker 2: and then because everybody's buying him. I mean those labooboos
- 9:06Speaker 2: were up to like eighty bucks sometimes, you know, like
- 9:08Speaker 2: super spendy. But uh, I was kind of asking her
- 9:12Speaker 2: about this yesterday. I was quizzing her, like, why do
- 9:15Speaker 2: you buy them? Is it like the feeling of it
- 9:18Speaker 2: when you purchase it, Like, don't.
- 9:19Speaker 3: Be offended, but why are you still collecting stuff?
- 9:22Speaker 4: Well?
- 9:22Speaker 2: I just wanted to kind of get some of the backstory,
- 9:23Speaker 2: like why is this something that still intrigues you in
- 9:27Speaker 2: your early.
- 9:27Speaker 3: Twenties because I saw some pictures.
- 9:29Speaker 1: You actually showed me some pictures yesterday of her standing
- 9:31Speaker 1: in this store like holding.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Her little stuff.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Yeah, and I was like, oh, that's adorable for her,
- 9:38Speaker 2: that's really cute. But we're in all of her friends
- 9:43Speaker 2: do it. So that's where I was like, this isn't
- 9:45Speaker 2: just something specific to her and like some kind of
- 9:48Speaker 2: weird childhood she could not grow.
- 9:50Speaker 3: Nobody's dating and it is like, well, but that's.
- 9:53Speaker 2: It, and I want I asked her this specifically because
- 9:56Speaker 2: you know this gen z they're all about like talking
- 9:59Speaker 2: to your her child and not ignoring they don't grow up.
- 10:02Speaker 2: They don't grow up like you thought we were bad
- 10:05Speaker 2: with toys r us Like she still no, no, no,
- 10:08Speaker 2: she's not wearing. But they definitely he's telling me to
- 10:12Speaker 2: urinate my opinion. But they do embrace the childhood factor
- 10:16Speaker 2: of life and so swings up. They think it's a
- 10:18Speaker 2: good thing that they don't grow up in that aspect.
- 10:21Speaker 2: I mean, let's be honest. Baby Nana still has two jobs,
- 10:24Speaker 2: she goes to school. I mean, she has a career,
- 10:27Speaker 2: she has a podcast stuff, he's a boyfriend, she has friends.
- 10:32Speaker 2: Like she's a very well rounded individual and so this
- 10:35Speaker 2: little stuffy animal thing, I was just like, again, I
- 10:38Speaker 2: just I wanted to know more about it.
- 10:40Speaker 4: Is it just that she's a slave to trends? Being
- 10:43Speaker 4: like she loves the what were those dumpling things too?
- 10:46Speaker 4: Like it's not just the.
- 10:48Speaker 3: Stuff squishy butter, Yes, the butter.
- 10:50Speaker 4: And it's so it's not just like she she I
- 10:52Speaker 4: think this generation sees all this stuff on TikTok or
- 10:57Speaker 4: Instagram or whatever and they're like I need it instantly,
- 11:00Speaker 4: and that to me, like I see it with my
- 11:02Speaker 4: sister who's just a little bit older than your daughter,
- 11:05Speaker 4: and it's like they see these things and instantly are like,
- 11:08Speaker 4: we got to go to five below and get the
- 11:10Speaker 4: dumplings or we got it, like and that's.
- 11:12Speaker 3: Why they sell out so quick. Yeah, and it's just like,
- 11:15Speaker 3: maybe it's not stuffies themselves.
- 11:17Speaker 1: We gotta come up with something that all these weirdos love. Yeah,
- 11:20Speaker 1: they'll buy from us, and they can buy from us, right.
- 11:23Speaker 2: But that's the thing is I think not only is
- 11:25Speaker 2: there that where they want to have the trendiest, latest
- 11:28Speaker 2: thing that they see, but then you have the social
- 11:31Speaker 2: media platforms, I mean TikTok shop, They're like, we see
- 11:34Speaker 2: you here, we come. Now they have everything that they need.
- 11:37Speaker 2: So now they'll scroll and they'll see somebody's stuffed animal
- 11:41Speaker 2: and maybe not that she told me. She's like one
- 11:42Speaker 2: of the things that girls specifically like to do. They'll
- 11:45Speaker 2: go buy the thirty dollars key chain, I mean the
- 11:48Speaker 2: stuffed animals the size of like the tennis ball, right,
- 11:52Speaker 2: the size of a tennis ball is thirty five dollars.
- 11:55Speaker 2: But it comes on a keychain and they hang it
- 11:57Speaker 2: from their purse and then when they go get coffee
- 11:59Speaker 2: and they take their Instagram post your chain. Keychain's in
- 12:03Speaker 2: there and people see it and they're like, oh God,
- 12:05Speaker 2: I love her keychain. And then should I start doing
- 12:07Speaker 2: seeing that on TikTok and you hit the TikTok shot
- 12:10Speaker 2: button and buy that key chain instantly.
- 12:12Speaker 3: It's so easy.
- 12:13Speaker 1: You asked her how much money she's spent on all this?
- 12:16Speaker 1: She added all this up by chance.
- 12:17Speaker 2: I am so afraid to ask her how much money
- 12:19Speaker 2: she has spent on stuff to animals.
- 12:21Speaker 1: This is not a good investment. Like this reminds me
- 12:24Speaker 1: of beanie babies. I know the craze behind that. Everybody
- 12:27Speaker 1: had to have them. There was lines And now you
- 12:30Speaker 1: know what, I've got a couple bins in my basement
- 12:32Speaker 1: and I don't know what to do with them, Yes,
- 12:33Speaker 1: because I feel guilty throwing them away.
- 12:35Speaker 2: And that's the thing is that was before the day
- 12:37Speaker 2: and age of the internet, So that was just word
- 12:39Speaker 2: of mouth and TV and radio and stuffy. Way worse
- 12:42Speaker 2: now now it is in your face all the time.
- 12:44Speaker 1: My daughter is into these, Uh they're Douglas stuffed animals.
- 12:48Speaker 3: You seeing the Douglass.
- 12:49Speaker 2: Ones so expensive and the other.
- 12:51Speaker 3: Thing, and I'm even like, you're going into middle school?
- 12:54Speaker 3: Is this something you're still.
- 12:55Speaker 1: I guess it's fine then, because it's like her and
- 12:58Speaker 1: her little girlfriends, they all search out these Douglas dogs.
- 13:02Speaker 3: They're like collecting all the dogs. But she's much younger
- 13:05Speaker 3: than your daughter. She is.
- 13:06Speaker 2: But again, like you're saying, you would think that it
- 13:08Speaker 2: would kind of curb a little bit if she gets
- 13:11Speaker 2: in school, and it doesn't. And that's where so weird
- 13:14Speaker 2: because I remember so well.
- 13:16Speaker 1: You know what, Listen, I don't have room to talk
- 13:18Speaker 1: because I collect.
- 13:20Speaker 3: I have an action.
- 13:22Speaker 2: You do you do? And for me though, like so,
- 13:25Speaker 2: I don't know if it's different for girls who like
- 13:28Speaker 2: grew up and became adults in like the early two thousands,
- 13:31Speaker 2: because when I became an adult, all I wanted to
- 13:33Speaker 2: do was be an adult. I didn't have stuffed animals
- 13:36Speaker 2: and kiddy things.
- 13:37Speaker 3: Weird, you know for me is that she puts all
- 13:39Speaker 3: these in her car too, like all across her back seat.
- 13:41Speaker 2: She did until she got her window smashed out that one.
- 13:44Speaker 3: Time somebody was on the lookout for stuff told her.
- 13:48Speaker 2: You have things in your back seat, even if it's
- 13:50Speaker 2: stuffed animals, because people think that they're valuable. So she
- 13:53Speaker 2: stopped doing that, but it wasn't for her.
- 14:00Speaker 1: With a stuffed octopuss in the back seat. You you
- 14:02Speaker 1: want to think you want to.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Take it octopus? You know.
- 14:09Speaker 3: You had to steal that stuffy octopus and put it
- 14:11Speaker 3: on the black muk. We can make throwing it bucks
- 14:13Speaker 3: you sure.
- 14:13Speaker 2: Again, So, but it is a thing, and I just want,
- 14:16Speaker 2: like other parents call in and tell us if you
- 14:19Speaker 2: are Yeah, you know kid kids hundreds of dollars on
- 14:22Speaker 2: stuffed animals in their early adult adults.
- 14:25Speaker 3: Yes, you got a grown ass adult in your life
- 14:27Speaker 3: and they're collecting stuffies. We want to hear about it.
- 14:29Speaker 2: They're not going to the club anymore, they're not spending
- 14:31Speaker 2: all their money.
- 14:32Speaker 1: On they're not drinking, they're not smoking, they're not having promiscuous,
- 14:36Speaker 1: unprotected relations.
- 14:38Speaker 3: No, they're getting stuffies.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Playing with their jelly cats.
- 14:41Speaker 3: Different, different kind of stuffy is what they're getting.
- 14:44Speaker 1: A shout out to Mark, who just called in and
- 14:48Speaker 1: said he had a buddy that was dating this woman
- 14:51Speaker 1: and they made their way back to her house. He's like,
- 14:54Speaker 1: she had like forty stuffed animals on the bed. Oh,
- 14:58Speaker 1: and his buddy's like, was this a red flag?
- 15:01Speaker 2: That's a little different.
- 15:03Speaker 3: Well, Mark said she also had four cats, so it's
- 15:07Speaker 3: full red flags right there. Four cats and forty stuffed animals.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Those two things combined is what gets you say.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Yes yes, Although I like the way he ended it.
- 15:26Speaker 1: He said, you know, my buddy wasn't really a catch either.
- 15:29Speaker 1: He's like, so maybe he was a match made in heaven.
- 15:31Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 15:32Speaker 2: He should have picked up on that then, so funny
