- 0:10[SPEAKER_01]: And we're on.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_01]: This is the cap report for August 4th, 2026, and eventful day.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it was an eventful day.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_01]: Not only because we have a new head on show in town, Dan Daniel Sillman,
- 0:28[SPEAKER_01]: is essentially taking over for Stephen Ross really.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_01]: Although Tom Garfinkle is stepping down away from all football operations, although we were kind of a assured that he wouldn't be involved with football operations at any time before, but he has to have a hand, right?
- 0:49[SPEAKER_01]: He was involved in the GM search, like he was in the room, we do know that for a fact.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_01]: although now we know for a damn fact that Daniel Sillman is the one who pointed Troy Drakeman in the Dolphin's direction and thus gave us John Erick Sullivan and Jeff Hathley.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_01]: All right, now for the football business of the day John is speaking of John Erick Sullivan the whole brass was there on the side looking at Chris Bell and Chris Bell seems to be ramping up
- 1:20[SPEAKER_01]: Look, if there's something that you can be optimistic about, it's Chris Bell, I think Chris Bell.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_01]: Man, he just looks good.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_01]: It's good looking at me.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_01]: Big, strong.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_01]: And that's a unit that can use some help, man.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_01]: All right, on today's show, look, they had the pads on and they finished up practicing red zone.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_01]: They did, they didn't do situations that were doing mostly red zone.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_01]: If you want to see the play by play of what happened on red zone and the one on one's and stuff like that, you could go check the feed at three YPC.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_01]: What I'm going to do is I'm going to give you like a little rundown of the roster as it stands.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_01]: And I'll tell you one thing, we're two weeks in and kind of different.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_01]: they give us these rosters every day like they have them right there at the front desk and you can pick one up you know so you can see you know who's wearing what number uh... room it's a large roster right now so you know sometimes there's guys like man who the hell is this new seventy two and they have to go look it up on the roster right
- 2:19[SPEAKER_01]: Two weeks in, the roster is still identical to when we first arrived.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I know you're wondering, like, well, Jesus, man, it's only been two weeks.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_01]: Like, why would it be different?
- 2:31[SPEAKER_01]: Well, because the last four years, that roster would change consistently.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_01]: Almost on a day to day basis.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_01]: Now anymore, it seems like there's a little bit kind of static as of right now.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_01]: All right, let's, let's do some, let's go, let's go through the roster here as it stands.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_01]: Look, Malik Wallace, I think today finally had a bad moment.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_01]: um... in the red zone area uh... he boots left he wasn't flushed he actually booted there was a play action and he boots out and he has the tight on the flap and then he has a wide receiver on the overrout and then one shallower right as he floated left he really didn't have anything there's a lot of color in front of them
- 3:28[SPEAKER_01]: Game situation, he's either running it or he's throwing it out of the back of the end zone.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_01]: He tries to throw against the grain and it gets picked off by Zain Anderson.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_01]: I think that was his first bad decision of camp.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_01]: I think when you were struggle today in the red zone, I thought camp Miller was much better than Grinowski, Grinowski, I don't think is in a full player.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he's a backup.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_01]: He just does not look capable.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_01]: out there.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_01]: So there's not much to say about Kronowski.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_01]: Move it onto the running backs.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_01]: One guy who cut the eye, don't have a man at words, has cut the eye.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_01]: If we're going to rank them, obviously, you know, HN is the man, right?
- 4:10[SPEAKER_01]: And he continues to play well.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_01]: Today he caught a choice route in the red zone for a touchdown.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_01]: Very nice.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_01]: Like, this will give me, like, look, I got into this, I got into a discussion, a fantasy football discussion.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_01]: This is not a football, football discussion, a fantasy football discussion.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, that I, on the three opposite Twitter account,
- 4:31[SPEAKER_01]: HN and I said, look, fader met your own peril.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_01]: It's entirely possible that this is a bad team, but even with a bad team, HN is still going to put up big numbers.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_01]: And forget about the scoring, like, you know, he's going to catch the ball.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to run the ball well.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_01]: And last I checked, uh, because the argument was, uh, two hours look for him on a check
- 4:57[SPEAKER_01]: Well, this is gonna buy enough time where he is gonna feed HN.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_01]: I think HN is gonna have a big ear again.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_01]: His George precarry have nothing to do with whether they feed him on checkdowns or not.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's him carrying the football.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_01]: And if you remember last year, he carried it against stack boxes ever since Tyre Kill went down.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_01]: And Tyre Kill went down very early on in the season.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_01]: So, I don't worry about HN.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_01]: The pecking order behind him seems to be tilting toward Ali Gordon.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_01]: over J. L. Wright.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_01]: All the Gordon very, very nice play today.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_01]: You know, they're not a 70-yard run, not a 40-yard run, not a 50-yard run, a simple three-yard run.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, third and three.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_01]: They're running like a little slip belly, right up the middle, join us to buy an app.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_01]: It makes it good block to clear the way for all the Gordon, all the Gordon is met in the hole.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_01]: by Tyrell Dodson and Ali Gordon Wins to get six points on the board.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_01]: Very nice rep moving on to the wide receivers, Jalen Tolbert returned to practice.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_01]: Good to see.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_01]: It looked like he had some type of serious injury yesterday.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_01]: I guess it wasn't.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_01]: Wasn't too much of a serious injury.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_01]: Millie Washington has emerged in the first two weeks as as the top target.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_01]: I really like the look of Caleb Douglas.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's helping, I think he's helping this team immensely and in the previous the previous unit when I talked about running backs, I said I talked about Stack boxes.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if this is a team you want to stack a box against because first of all Malik will just go throw it He could throw it out of the stadium and second of all can't count Douglas is fast
- 6:38[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to threaten safety deep.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_01]: Other than him, who was emerging from these wide receivers?
- 6:46[SPEAKER_01]: Man, I got to say it's been a rough group, but I think that Jalen Rager has had a good week this week.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_01]: Tutuai will met a play after having a horrific Friday, but Malik Washington seems to be shining out of this group.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_01]: Out of the tight ends, Dal Sach, he was dressed but not impads today, has not participated in a
- 7:09[SPEAKER_01]: Look, well Cas America has a look.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to play a lot for this team.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to play a lot in line.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_01]: Ben Sims has played very well and Cole Turner after having a couple of bad moments.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_01]: Today made a hell of a catch on an inline post where he just laid out in the middle of the field.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_01]: You can see it.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_01]: I'm pretty sure Tommy and Hialia has the video of it.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_01]: I'm pretty sure Tommy and Hialia is going to have like eight angles of this throw and catch He was very good.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_01]: You know who has a pretty good look as well.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_01]: Sadel Trailer.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_01]: He has a look.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_01]: Now he's going to play this year or he's going to get red shirt.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's probably going to be red shirted.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_01]: But excited to see the future for him.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_01]: He's he's noticeable athlete.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_01]: Good hands too.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_01]: By the way.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_01]: uh... the offensive line which the much maligned offensive line look the tackles were not good today i think that they were particularly good yesterday and the only one who's been kind of adequate has been packed with paul uh... we know Austin jackson today jf halfly said uh... he doesn't expect them to be out too long he'll be back sooner rather than later it's a day to day thing with him
- 8:26[SPEAKER_01]: The interior offensive line I think has been good, and they were good again today.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_01]: Out on the edge man, the tackles, like look, one guy who caught the eye, got lead by eeds.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_01]: I believe that's how you pronounce his last name, tackled out of Maryland.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_01]: a year ago, he has one issue, he is small, he lacks size, 64, 303 pounds, maybe because he keeps standing next to Jonah and Patrick Paul, but and getting proctor for that matter.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_01]: But, you know, he's not
- 9:04[SPEAKER_01]: you know, he's a small guy.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_01]: He looks more like a guard, but as far as playing football, you know, I came away a little bit more impressed with him.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_01]: The rest of the tackles, man, I thought Kevin Klein had as bad a day as you can have.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_01]: On the one on one, he whiffed.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_01]: Like three times like I was I don't know how that's possible I don't know how it's possible to get into a one-on-one drill against an edge and I don't care who the hell you're facing you're facing Josh Huché and I believe yet Huché was one who beat him three times.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he faced chop.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_01]: We matter face chop one time in fact That's not it was a Huché twice and beer once
- 9:45[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how on the two reps against Uche, you just completely whiff, Uche just runs right around you and gets to the spot.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_01]: So rough day for the tackles today.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_01]: moving on to the defense edge players chop Robinson's having a good camp period like uh you could just you know set that in stone having a good camp and he's doing it against pretty much everybody he gave Austin Jackson I don't understand John that was Jackson was there for half a practice in pads but he gave a fit and man he's gone to battle with Patrick Paul and I think he's won his share
- 10:21[SPEAKER_01]: I think Chop Robinson has done work on his body and has come into camp motivated, ready to play with a new body, and I think he's had a very, very good camp.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_01]: Another guy I really really like on this team is Josh Uche.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_01]: He's a guy who is always been a guy that you can count on as a past Russia and Maybe it's because he's been on a lot of teams that I've not trusted him to play a lot of early downs But Josh Uche is a good football player.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_01]: He's a good past Russia.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_01]: He's a guy and I think he's a candidate
- 10:52[SPEAKER_01]: For a guy who could have a pretty decent season and cost us a bit of money at the end of the year, but I do like Josh Uche and I like Cleveland Farrell.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_01]: This group, the edge group has been pretty good.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_01]: Defeas of tackles today, man, they've been doing battles with those guards.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_01]: I think I think you can say this.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_01]: I think that the Miami guards are good.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_01]: At least they're playing good as of right now.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_01]: Or should I say the interior offensive line because, you know, we're throwing in Myers and we're throwing in DJ Campbell who has been good in camp, which is good to see.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_01]: So they have a little bit of depth here on the interior offensive line.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_01]: You got a decent center in Meyer and you got a decent guard in DJ Campbell.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_01]: That's good to see.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_01]: Issue of course is on on the edge.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_01]: The tackles have not been good.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_01]: They don't have much depth there.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_01]: Judging by how they've played defensive tackles are essentially in a standstill.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_01]: They're in a They're in a a quagmire for for going on two days with pads against the interior offensive line.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_01]: That's good to see because I happen to think that The Miami Dolphins defense attack or group is actually a pretty damn good one.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's a top 10 unit in the NFL Linebackers.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_01]: What can you say?
- 12:07[SPEAKER_01]: This is another really really good unit and I think Tyrell Dotson has had himself a very very good week.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_01]: He's come on pretty strong
- 12:15[SPEAKER_01]: And it's giving you a lot of depth, and look, they have a few guys, and a much older guy, 29 years old, Ronnie Harris and Junior out of Alabama, been in the league forever.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, got dapped up by Joe Barry today.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_01]: It's a guy who's going to play special teams.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_01]: Interesting to see this group come training camp.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_01]: Jacob Rodriguez has been quiet, but it's not because he's been bad.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_01]: that were noticeable, had a good run fit today on on a scraped stringing out, uh, div on a chin, uh, very nice rep.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_01]: So just because it's not been flashy, not, you know, punching the ball out, getting interceptions, PBU's, you know, dancing in the end zone, none of that doesn't matter, you know, he's doing his job, he's playing well.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_01]: He's having a good camp, but I think Tyrell Dodson has joined the battle here, and we know we can trust Jordan Brooks,
- 13:12[SPEAKER_01]: Carlos was a bit quiet today, but, you know, well, we can wait on them a little bit.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_01]: We'll get made another play again today.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_01]: There's another good unit.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_01]: I think if there's two units on this team, defensive tackle and linebacker, the two units on this team that you could point to you could say, those are top 10 units in the NFL.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_01]: And I know what you're thinking you like, wait a minute.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_01]: They got two top 10 units on the defense, and they're running back
- 13:42[SPEAKER_01]: Man, it might be good.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the issue is that your second area is not all that great.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_01]: And your wide receivers are not all that great.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_01]: And wide receiver and your second area are those are premium positions, right?
- 13:54[SPEAKER_01]: So that's probably what's going to hold back the team this year.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_01]: But I don't think it'll hold it back in 2027.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_01]: You can be optimistic.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_01]: Of course, there's a lot of F's.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_01]: But I think you could be optimistic going forward.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_01]: Look, man, I think we have ourselves
- 14:12[SPEAKER_01]: not that they're starting or anything like that but uh... uh... zane anderson lose more keep making plays every single day like now it's a common thing with those guys and they deserve credit i thought zane anderson was absolutely everywhere today and did have the nice pick on malik willus the place kicker battle man hard to handicap right
- 14:38[SPEAKER_01]: But I will say this, Riley Patterson, the ball is looking better off of Riley Patterson's foot than it has been off of Zane Gonzalez.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_01]: All right, we're gonna go to break.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_01]: And when we come back on the other side of the break, we will take your questions.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_01]: But first, these words.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_01]: All right, and we are back.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_01]: All right, let me go through the questions.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, we got plenty.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_01]: That's nice to see.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_01]: Remember, there's a day off tomorrow, then practice returns on Thursday, Friday, and then on Saturday at 10 AM is the stadium practice.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_01]: I'm pretty sure it's open to the public.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, if you come on down, I don't know, I think they're going to probably have us in the press box or something like that.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_01]: But if you come on down,
- 15:21[SPEAKER_01]: say hello I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be around like you're gonna see me around I don't know if they're gonna sit us in the stands or we're gonna be in the press box but I guess we shall see and I'll learn more on Friday but they do have a stadium practice I am told that the stadium practice on Saturday is not a scrimmage
- 15:42[SPEAKER_01]: So it's going to be just one of those regular practices, they're going to have individual units, they're going to have one on one, et cetera, et cetera, and then they'll have team period at the end.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_01]: It is not a scrimmage.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_01]: At least that's what I was told.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_01]: Who knows, they might change their mind.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_01]: I will ask a question relating to that Friday.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_01]: I did ask the dolphins, but I asked them a week ago.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe plants change.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_01]: And a week ago, I was told, no, it's a regular practice.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_01]: Alright, next question.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_01]: First question.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_01]: How do Paul, Patrick Paul, and Proctor look together?
- 16:17[SPEAKER_01]: Well, they look damn good so far.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_01]: Very strong, especially against the run.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, especially, you know, in the run game, like man combos with Patrick Paul and getting Proctor when they run duo, they're going to fuck people up.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_01]: So you can't help but be pretty excited about that.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's Jonah gonna be anything.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_01]: It's awesome Jackson gonna be healthy, and we know the answer to that one You know, they put the pads on and the guy made it through half of practice So we shall see Could Bell Coleman Douglas be a very good whi-versy record in green Bay fashion and Washington as whi-versy were four I hope a Washington as whi-versy were three in that in that picking order I don't know why Coleman is all of a sudden he's a hot name today
- 17:07[SPEAKER_01]: Has he done anything in training camp?
- 17:09[SPEAKER_01]: Not really.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_01]: He's made a couple of plays, but Malik Washington's obviously way ahead of Kevin Coleman in the pecking order But yes, you have to be optimistic.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_01]: Look, I like Chris Bell.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_01]: He just has.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_01]: He has a bad reputation You know, sometimes he's seen on film, loofing or taking plays off or whatever But yeah, I just just got there and watch him on the side and his size
- 17:36[SPEAKER_01]: him and Caleb Douglas together, you know, they'll look like something and I do like Caleb Douglas, like, you know, he's fast, he's long, and sometimes being fast and long is enough.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_01]: Next question, what's the biggest position to hold based on how campus going right now?
- 17:53[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, it's the library series, right?
- 17:55[SPEAKER_01]: Is there a unit that you don't have a very positive outlook on yet the wide receivers, again, the very, very thin there?
- 18:02[SPEAKER_01]: Who's your favorite rookie right now?
- 18:04[SPEAKER_01]: That's a good question.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_01]: look at him proctor plays guard right so it's hard to be like whoa you know like he basically has to be what Quentin Nelson to come out and say whoa like this guy's something but I'm very rookie right now as Jacob Rodriguez like you could see it right like you could see the vision
- 18:26[SPEAKER_01]: And I think he's been better than what my evaluation of him was coming out for the draft.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_01]: He's been a better player.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_01]: And yes, I've been, I'm very optimistic on Jacob Rodriguez.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_01]: Very optimistic.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_01]: Next question, how are we looking?
- 18:41[SPEAKER_01]: Should we still bet the under four and a half or bet the over on the win totals?
- 18:45[SPEAKER_01]: I am debating that myself.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_01]: I am.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_01]: Look, man, I want to watch some play.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_01]: I want to watch them play in the preseason and I want to see that they get out of the preseason and training cap healthy or healthy ish and Look, I think we're going to know a lot after week one, right?
- 19:07[SPEAKER_01]: Because I do have them beating the Raiders to open the season and then I kind of have them, you know, losing a few in a row.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_01]: But,
- 19:15[SPEAKER_01]: Man, can they beat the four and a half number?
- 19:17[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna ask them to beat the four and a half number.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_01]: I want them to beat the four and a half number.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_01]: If you want me to feel pretty good about 2027, you gotta beat that number.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_01]: Disaster seasons, man, don't help anybody.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_01]: Except your draft position, right?
- 19:31[SPEAKER_01]: And if you have a disaster season, then you're pretty much starting over again, probably looking for a quarterback.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_01]: It's just a pain in the ass.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_01]: Think about what the best case scenario is, you beat that four and a half number, you think you got your guy in Malik Wallace and then let's say you get some type of top six or seven pick and you sell that pick for a pile of picks and you use those that pile of picks to replace Austin Jackson, maybe you keep getting proctics, it's getting procter all of a sudden is a budding star at guard and look, guards are getting paid a lot of money now.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_01]: So, things change, it's like the running back a few years ago.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_01]: The running back a few years ago was completely disrespected.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_01]: And now look at the running backs.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_01]: Beezion Robinson today just signed a $75 million extension over three years.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_01]: So, yeah, beat the number.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_01]: I will give you more.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_01]: I'll let you know more once campus concluded and we do our previous show and we do our previous show.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_01]: We will do our our picks and then I'm leaning towards them beating that number like 5 and 12 hard to get excited about a 5 and 12 season.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_01]: But I tell you, you can get excited about 7 intensies and I know we've followed in a long way.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_01]: We've followed in a long way talking about getting excited for a 7 intensies.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_01]: But remember, they got 60% of their money tied up in players that are no longer playing for them.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_01]: or their elsewhere.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_01]: Next question, we all worried about AJ, but you saw half what you had taken based on the words and body language, you feel like he'll be more real than McD was, yes.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_01]: Half Lee is much more succinct, detailed and efficient at the mic.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_01]: Most intriguing player battle in camps so far.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_01]: Good question, I think it's Dodson and
- 21:26[SPEAKER_01]: One of those guys will play a lot, I just don't see a situation where those guys are just sharing all the time, or one guy becomes a situation, alright?
- 21:34[SPEAKER_01]: I think if Jacob Rodriguez beats out Tyrell Dots and I think he'd probably trading Tyrell Dots because he's a starting caliber player and I don't think he's going to want to be riding the pine for most of the game or playing 15 to 20 snaps, you know, like that's not something he's going to want to do.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that that's the most intriguing player battle so far is Jacob Rodriguez and Tyrell Dots and
- 21:57[SPEAKER_00]: next question.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_01]: Does Will seem to be developing so to speak?
- 22:01[SPEAKER_01]: Like a draft pick, like they said, they saw him in signing up.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think he's been pretty good.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_01]: And I think it says something that he had his first bat moment today.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_01]: Like that was the first time he made a really bad decision.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_01]: And he paid for it with the interception and the resume.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_01]: Like that's not good.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_01]: Who looks bigger in person?
- 22:19[SPEAKER_01]: Proctor or Paul?
- 22:23[SPEAKER_01]: Proctor.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_01]: Proctor looks more dense than Paul.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_01]: Paul looks like a basketball player.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_01]: you know, as a big chest, you know, strong arms, but lean, uh, long legs, proctors just a giant human being.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_01]: Um, who's our whole fill-ups are big and ah, it's going to be Philips, not bigger.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_01]: Zigg bigger is more of a specialist past pressure.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, Jordan Philips, I'm pretty certain is the king of the white room on the team.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_01]: He was last year.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_01]: And dolphins used to have a thing and I'm going to ask when I get a chance for Jordan Fubbs or anybody else in the building.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_01]: They used to have a thing where whoever could squat the biggest difference between their weight and what they put on the rack.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_01]: Was the king of the squat rack?
- 23:13[SPEAKER_01]: I'm told the Jordan Phillips overtook Julian Hill last year.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_01]: So,
- 23:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, who's our Hulk, it's Phillips, not Piggers, like, you know, Piggers is not, not in Jordan Phillips's league.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_01]: Jordan Phillips is like a legit, legit power left there.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_01]: What should take on drafting Proctor over Bain and Downs?
- 23:31[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you know, I told you at the time I hated it I like Downs better and then I like Bain and Proctor was not a guy I was gonna consider there I was gonna have both of those guys were gone.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_01]: I probably was gonna trade down But I liked Caleb Downs and Ruben Bain in that order Do you like to pick more now that you have seen him and can't be asked?
- 23:50[SPEAKER_01]: I do Next question.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_01]: How has got Lee look?
- 23:56[SPEAKER_01]: meaning got leave a eats.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's looked pretty good.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_01]: Could he be could he be climbing the Dept.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_01]: chart or two raw?
- 24:03[SPEAKER_01]: No, he's not raw.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_01]: Like he's a professional offensive lineman.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_01]: You could tell he's just like I said he's small.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he's just small he's he lacks eyes, you know, he's small for an NFL offensive tackle
- 24:21[SPEAKER_01]: he looks more like a slick guard you know slick athletic guard but you know that's what those preseason games are going to for i'm going to be for right those guys are going to play a lot so yeah that that'll help
- 24:36[SPEAKER_01]: Does H and look or feel any different?
- 24:39[SPEAKER_01]: No, he looks the same.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_01]: He's a star and he'll be a star.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_01]: Next question, Dolcech, a sneaky fantasy play this year, absolutely.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_01]: Like I've said, the 666 thing again.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_01]: 60 catches, 600 yards, six touchdowns.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_01]: I think that that's realistic.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_01]: And if he does that, then he's what?
- 24:58[SPEAKER_01]: A top 12 tight end, which means that he's a high end tight end, too.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_01]: So, if you got your top guy, later on in the draft, man, you want to get yourself a backup for insurance, I think Greg Dulsech is your man.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_01]: All right, what other sneaky plays do you see for fans football from this team?
- 25:19[SPEAKER_01]: I already told you with one of your last picks like look most draft unless you're you're in a league that has a ton of dolphin fans that read these reports or that hear these reports and our members of only fans right unless you're in one of those leagues that has a lot of dolphin fans and they kind of you know and they know ball they know the team
- 25:41[SPEAKER_01]: Right?
- 25:42[SPEAKER_01]: Unless you're one of those links, people are going to absolutely ignore Caleb Douglas, right?
- 25:48[SPEAKER_01]: I think that what you do is you just use your last draft pick, or you know what?
- 25:52[SPEAKER_01]: Be slick about it.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_01]: draft the word with the hell you want to draft and then when they open up the the waver wire period pick up Caleb I mean pick up Caleb Douglass you know be sneaky about it and if they start Chris Bell on the pop pick him up two and then just store them just store them on IR until he's ready because look the ball has to go somewhere right
- 26:16[SPEAKER_01]: And I know you're thinking well, yeah, but what if Malik Washington is is the top target.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he could be the top target.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_01]: I don't like Malik Washington I don't like Slot receivers that not going to be extremely prolific right if you're not I'm on Rossing Brown if you're not a guy who's going to move move around a lot
- 26:34[SPEAKER_01]: And I understand Malik Washington is going to play on the outside a little bit.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_01]: I don't like him to be, you know, to have a big, big season.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_01]: I think Caleb Douglas could be a guy who could have a high yards per catch average.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_01]: And those guys usually both well as your wide receiver for on your fantasy roster.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_01]: What we see anything interesting on new offensive of your defense as well, I can't say those things remember it's against the end of our reporting policy We're gonna be grinding upon lea obviously and play action.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they're gonna be Heavy run team lot of run actions lot of play action, and I think they're gonna try to push the ball down feel by the way
- 27:17[SPEAKER_01]: uh... next question austin jackson contemplated tray but said he had no leverage is that mean nobody wanted him what is no leverage mean in this case no leverage means that he's injured he's his entry prone and people that are entry prone don't want to pay uh... those salaries they just don't it's a bit of a log jam at linebacker who are you keeping on the fifty three and who would you cut for that position at a little bit too early
- 27:41[SPEAKER_01]: But I would make, like, look, I do think that if Jacob wins the job, you trade Dodson.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Brooks and Jacob are locks, where the gay is a lock.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_01]: Kyle Lewis is a lock, and everything beyond that, he just got to watch, right?
- 27:59[SPEAKER_01]: I do like, I do like, train more a little bit, okay?
- 28:03[SPEAKER_01]: Because of his versatility, he's going to play in a lot of different places.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, if UJ is more of a pastoral specialist, then do we use him rotationally or do we have another defense event for early downs?
- 28:17[SPEAKER_01]: Look, bigger scampy choosers, man.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_01]: He's gonna have to play.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_01]: I think what he's here for is to play a little bit more in the past downs while Cleveland Farrell takes some of the early downs.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's something that they might do.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_01]: So be on the lookout for that.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_01]: How would you grade this rookie class now?
- 28:36[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, uh, grade A so far.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_01]: But we've got to watch them in games, right?
- 28:39[SPEAKER_01]: We've got to watch them in these pre-season games as well.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_01]: Compared to the grades you give out during the draft-positive process.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_01]: Remember, I wasn't too hot on these players in the draft process.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_01]: Although I did kind of like their draft past, uh, starting with Chris Johnson.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_01]: Remember, I was a big fan of Chris Johnson.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_01]: Like that's a guy that I really liked.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_01]: So I kind of dug the rookie class.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_01]: I wasn't too hot on a few players.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_01]: I love Carlos where they took them.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm grading it pretty high right now.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_01]: This looks like a rookie class that's going to contribute plenty.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_01]: How many above average players do you think we drafted with our 13 picks?
- 29:16[SPEAKER_01]: I think a lot of them.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_01]: like it's hard to just go one by one, right?
- 29:21[SPEAKER_01]: At the end of the camp, I could I could tell you with a little bit more certainty.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_01]: It's Treyori and NFL player absolutely, he's a really good athlete, and I tied in with his size, which is it's decent size, like he's not a small guy, like he's like let me see what he's listed at.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_01]: uh... six four two hundred and thirty five pounds and it does look that way by the way so he has decent size as a pass catching tight-end yeah i think he's in a fall player and he's twitchy plays with speed so yeah he's absolutely in a fall player if he's not on this team this year i think he's a contributor next year
- 30:02[SPEAKER_01]: Alright, last question, out of this entire rookie class, if you had to bet on one having the best career who would that be, Jacob Rodriguez, how different does Chop look performance compared to last year?
- 30:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he looks very, very different.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_01]: It also helps that he's playing a role that he's much more suited to playing, which is wide nine, rushing wide,
- 30:25[SPEAKER_01]: You know, playing in space so you could use his speed against guys that are much, much, much slower than him, meaning NFL tackles.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_00]: That's it.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_00]: There is no more.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_00]: Remember there's a day off tomorrow.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_01]: Practice returns on Thursday.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_01]: I will be there.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_01]: And I'll be reporting once again.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_01]: And you'll get my camp reports on the daily.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_01]: Remember that.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_01]: And I will see you again on Thursday.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks for listening to three yards per catty.
