- 0:39Speaker 3: First of all, your history.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Why don't you let our viewers know and our listeners
- 0:43Speaker 2: know kind of how you came into the public eye
- 0:45Speaker 2: and how you ended up being a part of this
- 0:47Speaker 2: whole community.
- 0:47Speaker 4: Okay, public eye, Yeah, before the Batchelor No, no, with
- 0:50Speaker 4: the Bachelor, Okay, Okay, Well, Tay just applied and here
- 0:55Speaker 4: I was one of twenty three out of thirty five
- 0:57Speaker 4: thousand applicants.
- 0:58Speaker 5: I'm bragging, of course, top twenty Yeah.
- 1:02Speaker 4: Yeah, first ever Golden Bachelor.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Yeahah, it was great and you were great of a show.
- 1:08Speaker 2: You made a big impact with people, and you obviously
- 1:10Speaker 2: made a lot of friends within the Bachelor Nation community
- 1:13Speaker 2: because I know that Kathy and I've been with Kathy
- 1:15Speaker 2: and Susan and a bunch of different things, and your
- 1:17Speaker 2: name has come up a ton, so I know you
- 1:19Speaker 2: guys are all still great friends and you know, have
- 1:21Speaker 2: a lot of fun together. Do you get a chance
- 1:23Speaker 2: to get together with the Bachelor Nation people as much
- 1:24Speaker 2: as you want to?
- 1:25Speaker 5: Of course not.
- 1:26Speaker 4: Yeah, no, I'd love to see them all again and
- 1:28Speaker 4: again and again, but we all live in different parts
- 1:30Speaker 4: of the US of A. And what are you going
- 1:31Speaker 4: to do with that? But that's what texting and emailing
- 1:34Speaker 4: is for.
- 1:35Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, modern technology, right, very spectacular.
- 1:38Speaker 2: And how was your experience on the show, Like when
- 1:39Speaker 2: you left, how are you feeling about your relationship with Gary?
- 1:43Speaker 2: Did you feel like you had enough time with them?
- 1:45Speaker 2: You know, where was your head space?
- 1:47Speaker 1: Okay?
- 1:47Speaker 4: None of us ever has enough time with the league,
- 1:49Speaker 4: as you know, that's the way they format the show,
- 1:51Speaker 4: which is fine.
- 1:52Speaker 5: But the times I did spend with him were excellent.
- 1:55Speaker 4: We had great conversations which America never saw because it
- 1:59Speaker 4: was a one hour show forty four minutes without commercials,
- 2:02Speaker 4: so it was very limited. But boy did we have
- 2:04Speaker 4: some good conversations. I'm sure he did with other women
- 2:07Speaker 4: as well.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Sure, yeah, yeah, it was great.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Let's go back to before you got on, so there's
- 2:12Speaker 1: always a backstory on They told me that I should
- 2:15Speaker 1: definitely apply, or they told me you're crazy, you shouldn't
- 2:18Speaker 1: do that. I want to hear both sides. I want
- 2:20Speaker 1: to say, who was your biggest advocate? Was it was
- 2:22Speaker 1: it family? Was it friends telling you you got to
- 2:25Speaker 1: go and do this? Sodre you would be perfect?
- 2:27Speaker 5: And as a matter of fact, no one really. I
- 2:29Speaker 5: applied with that.
- 2:30Speaker 3: Well, good for you.
- 2:31Speaker 4: When I applied, I did call my oldest daughter and
- 2:33Speaker 4: she helped me do some wordsmithing on the application. But
- 2:36Speaker 4: I didn't tell anyone, maybe for fear that they wouldn't
- 2:39Speaker 4: accept me. But here's the thing. After I applied, send
- 2:42Speaker 4: it in, printed it out, send it in, I.
- 2:44Speaker 5: Totally forgot about it.
- 2:46Speaker 4: But you know then I didn't hear from anyone for
- 2:48Speaker 4: three months and so and life just went on.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Was there anybody though that that when you announced it?
- 2:55Speaker 1: He said, I'm going to go and do this crazy thing.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Did anybody say, ge't do you know you're going to
- 3:01Speaker 1: get hurt or or don't do it to protect you?
- 3:05Speaker 4: No, because you know what, I followed the rules they said,
- 3:07Speaker 4: don't tell anyone except the people who are going to
- 3:09Speaker 4: collect your mail and walk your dog and all that
- 3:11Speaker 4: inside and my daughter's I told him my very best
- 3:14Speaker 4: friend and.
- 3:14Speaker 1: That was and everyone was positive.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Oh yeah, they're positive. That's fun. And they had to
- 3:19Speaker 3: be so I had to be a big surprise when
- 3:20Speaker 3: they saw you on the TV.
- 3:21Speaker 4: They were proud of me, very proud of And it
- 3:24Speaker 4: was one of those guess who I know?
- 3:25Speaker 5: Saunder? My friend was, Yeah, I had more street crid
- 3:28Speaker 5: than ever at that boy.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Yeah, are there any any regrets as you sit here
- 3:32Speaker 1: right now, I mean you have a big smile on
- 3:34Speaker 1: your face. I mean you're you know, but any regrets
- 3:37Speaker 1: about it? Any any moments that you thought, oh my gosh.
- 3:39Speaker 4: Oh well sure, I can't believe I wore that dress,
- 3:42Speaker 4: or I can't believe I said that, or.
- 3:44Speaker 5: They you know, the big fart on TV.
- 3:47Speaker 4: What the was That's a whole other story, guys, backstory,
- 3:51Speaker 4: but that's funny.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Of course, there regrets, but yeah, but it was a
- 3:54Speaker 3: great experience.
- 3:54Speaker 5: Oh absolutely.
- 3:55Speaker 3: Well yeah, and I said this earlier with Andrew.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Andrew and I've been around for twenty some years now
- 4:00Speaker 2: around the bass for franchise, and the beauty of it
- 4:01Speaker 2: is those friendships that you've made and those memories that
- 4:04Speaker 2: you share never go away, right, you know, they just
- 4:06Speaker 2: kind of grow with time.
- 4:07Speaker 3: Excellent? How about are you c k same for you?
- 4:09Speaker 2: Like how was your experience getting onto the show and
- 4:11Speaker 2: and how is experience going through it?
- 4:13Speaker 6: Well, I'll kind of get to right getting on the
- 4:16Speaker 6: show right, which was a journey. Yeah, And To's point,
- 4:19Speaker 6: it's it's a process. And I really appreciate the network
- 4:22Speaker 6: for going through the process, whether it's background checks or
- 4:24Speaker 6: physical check and so sure I did appreciate that. Yeah,
- 4:28Speaker 6: but it's a long elongated process. And I went back
- 4:31Speaker 6: and forth quite a bit, and I would say I'm
- 4:33Speaker 6: not going to do it, and then my boss would
- 4:35Speaker 6: call me on a Sunday and goes.
- 4:36Speaker 7: No, you're going to do it, Charles. It's time something.
- 4:39Speaker 6: Yeah, And I call them back and you know, next week,
- 4:42Speaker 6: I go, no, I'm not feeling uncomfortable. I don't think
- 4:44Speaker 6: I'm going to do it, and then he and my
- 4:46Speaker 6: CEO will get on the phone say, look, if you
- 4:47Speaker 6: don't do what, we're gonna fly to California, we're going
- 4:49Speaker 6: to fire ourselves.
- 4:52Speaker 3: So they really were pushing you.
- 4:54Speaker 6: My company, I Attenable in Maryland was very supportive and
- 4:57Speaker 6: we talked about them. I mean they would give the
- 4:59Speaker 6: women that watch the show with that okay, okay, seek
- 5:02Speaker 6: I go out to Maryland. Let's let's practice you get
- 5:04Speaker 6: out of the limit things.
- 5:06Speaker 1: That's so great, Sodre, you were keeping it, you know,
- 5:09Speaker 1: a secret, and here's he's the guys out there telling everything,
- 5:12Speaker 1: getting advice And why.
- 5:13Speaker 7: Did you tell my company right? Because I have to
- 5:15Speaker 7: be away for it.
- 5:15Speaker 3: Sure.
- 5:16Speaker 6: Yeah, and then we're kind of spread it. It was
- 5:20Speaker 6: all the way from my executive step down to the
- 5:22Speaker 6: desktop people.
- 5:23Speaker 7: Everyone just had so much fun with it.
- 5:25Speaker 6: Week to week, I would quit, I get a call
- 5:28Speaker 6: from the janitor at the company.
- 5:29Speaker 1: You can't quit.
- 5:30Speaker 7: You have to come back, and.
- 5:34Speaker 2: That's awesome. So it was a real community wanting you
- 5:36Speaker 2: to succeed it.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:37Speaker 6: I felt very supportive from everyone at my company and
- 5:43Speaker 6: in my family. My brother didn't believe it. I told
- 5:45Speaker 6: him because I had to tell them to watch my house. Yeah,
- 5:47Speaker 6: and he goes, I don't believe it. And then the
- 5:49Speaker 6: first commercial came out he saw it. He says, I
- 5:51Speaker 6: still don't believe it until I see CGI.
- 5:54Speaker 1: That's not yes. But I think that the you know,
- 5:58Speaker 1: the vetting process or the pros you know, sonder you
- 6:00Speaker 1: might have had thinking about it. What do I want
- 6:03Speaker 1: to do? Do I want to do this? Do I
- 6:04Speaker 1: want to put myself out there? Do I potentially embarrass myself?
- 6:08Speaker 1: Potentially have this amazing experience? All that kind of introspective
- 6:11Speaker 1: I think strengthens your resolve and probably makes that experience
- 6:15Speaker 1: that much better because you're like, no, this is my decision.
- 6:18Speaker 1: I'm doing this. Nobody convinced me except for your boss.
- 6:22Speaker 1: But I think that's that's a valuable process, you know,
- 6:25Speaker 1: to go one thousand.
- 6:28Speaker 6: I think you know for me that the difficult part
- 6:30Speaker 6: is I work and live in an environment that's so
- 6:33Speaker 6: factual that you come into this environment. Now you have
- 6:36Speaker 6: to be vulnerable, you have to be open, you have
- 6:38Speaker 6: to put yourself out there, and then all of that
- 6:41Speaker 6: goes with this unassuredness that you have because you can't
- 6:44Speaker 6: control the outcome, right, And I live in an environment
- 6:47Speaker 6: where I can control or predict the outcome and this
- 6:49Speaker 6: is this is a bad So I think that for
- 6:52Speaker 6: me was my decision.
- 6:53Speaker 1: You know, I think I've heard the word vulnerable more
- 6:55Speaker 1: in the last two days in talking and talking to this,
- 6:58Speaker 1: to this this crew, and and you know, also what
- 7:02Speaker 1: we talked about is confidence. And I think that this
- 7:04Speaker 1: is the most confident group of people that have been
- 7:06Speaker 1: on the Bachelor because life experience, because you've done it,
- 7:11Speaker 1: You've been there, and you you know, like, you know
- 7:13Speaker 1: what you you know what you want and if.
- 7:16Speaker 5: And what do you have to lose?
- 7:17Speaker 7: What do you yeah, what do you have.
- 7:19Speaker 5: To lose at our age?
- 7:20Speaker 1: Right? Yeah? But what do you have to gain? Everything?
- 7:24Speaker 1: You know? Like and if if it if it doesn't
- 7:26Speaker 1: work out. You've made amazing friends. You've been able to,
- 7:30Speaker 1: you know, ask yourself a bunch of questions, sit alone
- 7:32Speaker 1: in your thoughts, and really I think helped shape what
- 7:35Speaker 1: the next chapter is going to be, whether it's with
- 7:37Speaker 1: that bachelor, bachelorette, or if it's just you know, your
- 7:40Speaker 1: next chapter.
- 7:40Speaker 3: Overall. I have to tell you guys.
- 7:43Speaker 2: In my toast to welcome everyone last night, I said,
- 7:45Speaker 2: you know, the first time I did this event, I
- 7:46Speaker 2: was the youngest person here and now Andre and I
- 7:49Speaker 2: are the whipper snappers, right, But I will say this,
- 7:51Speaker 2: Uh we we talked about this last night Amy Sugarman
- 7:54Speaker 2: and our team and we're like, we're doing all gold
- 7:56Speaker 2: and all the time because the you guys.
- 7:59Speaker 3: Come in and like Andrew said, everybody's vulnerable.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Everybody's that's like you said earlier in an interview, like
- 8:05Speaker 2: the Bravado's down. The confidence is up and you're dealing
- 8:08Speaker 2: with real people who are sharing real emotions.
- 8:10Speaker 1: It's amazing, right, And it's not provided. It's earned confidence.
- 8:15Speaker 1: It's from you know, it's you know, it's you know,
- 8:18Speaker 1: the younger you know has a different experience because they're
- 8:22Speaker 1: kind of bright eyed, bushy tailed, you know, optimistic, you
- 8:25Speaker 1: know what can happen. They want you to think that
- 8:26Speaker 1: they're yeah, and uh, you know. Conversely, you know, you
- 8:30Speaker 1: have this kind of life of experience that you know
- 8:32Speaker 1: that that gives you a different perspective, which I think
- 8:35Speaker 1: is so refreshing and very honest and very authentic.
- 8:39Speaker 3: Earned confidence is what you said.
- 8:40Speaker 7: I think if I can just I don't disagree.
- 8:44Speaker 6: Role ceremonies, group dates, one on one, the whole environment
- 8:48Speaker 6: of the experience, it takes your at least for me,
- 8:52Speaker 6: it takes your My confidence was very cyclical among all
- 8:56Speaker 6: the men.
- 8:56Speaker 1: It was just me.
- 8:58Speaker 6: And one of the things that was gonna about my
- 9:01Speaker 6: group of men was that we all instilled confidence in
- 9:04Speaker 6: each other.
- 9:05Speaker 1: You know.
- 9:05Speaker 6: If I was down, like see man, I'm look at
- 9:08Speaker 6: you bro this Yeah yeah, but I didn't get a
- 9:11Speaker 6: group they had no more about that, but look at this, this.
- 9:13Speaker 1: This sure sure, and it was just that's totally different
- 9:16Speaker 1: than the young men.
- 9:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:17Speaker 1: So I think in the younger, you know, version of
- 9:20Speaker 1: The Bachelor, everyone's oh, you're down, I'm gonna I'm gonna
- 9:23Speaker 1: push you down.
- 9:25Speaker 2: You know.
- 9:25Speaker 1: You know I'm gonna, I'm gonna. I'm gonna. You know,
- 9:27Speaker 1: I want you to feel insecure, I want you to
- 9:30Speaker 1: feel anxious.
- 9:31Speaker 3: Yeah, they're preying on it because it raises.
- 9:33Speaker 1: You up in comparison, that's upposed raising up the other guys.
- 9:46Speaker 2: The reason why I loved uh the casting both for
- 9:50Speaker 2: Gary season and Jones season. And I've said this a
- 9:52Speaker 2: bunch just because it was it wasn't that stunt casting
- 9:54Speaker 2: that The Bachelor has sometimes been known to do, right
- 9:57Speaker 2: when they throw somebody in who they know is just
- 9:59Speaker 2: gonna be a thorn and.
- 9:59Speaker 3: Every side or whatever.
- 10:00Speaker 2: It was really good and it was age appropriate as well. Right,
- 10:03Speaker 2: we didn't have, you know, a bunch of people in
- 10:05Speaker 2: this age segment and then we throw in a thirty
- 10:07Speaker 2: five year old Is it randomly just stir up the
- 10:09Speaker 2: SoC faces?
- 10:11Speaker 3: Exactly. Yeah, we didn't have that.
- 10:13Speaker 2: And the thing I loved too, especially about Jones season
- 10:16Speaker 2: with the guys, well actually in Gary season with the
- 10:18Speaker 2: ladies as well, was it reminded me of my first
- 10:20Speaker 2: season when I was on Trista's season of the Bachelorette.
- 10:23Speaker 2: So I started on the Bachelorette before I became the Bachelor.
- 10:25Speaker 2: I was one of Trista's rejects. Yeah, and I was.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Actually learned that badge.
- 10:31Speaker 2: Probably I think I was actually technically the first lovable
- 10:34Speaker 2: loser that turned into the Bachelor. But I started this
- 10:38Speaker 2: whole day, I think, No, just kidding, but I love
- 10:41Speaker 2: those guys. Like we got along great, and we got
- 10:43Speaker 2: some heat from producers at the time, like they were like, hey,
- 10:46Speaker 2: this isn't like supposed to be a love fest, you know,
- 10:48Speaker 2: and uh, but we kind of persevered with that. We
- 10:51Speaker 2: stayed buddies, and I loved it still buddies to this
- 10:53Speaker 2: day and a lot of the guys and it's really
- 10:56Speaker 2: fun to catch up with them and you know, check
- 10:58Speaker 2: in and you know, and that's two years.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Ago, you know. So when you went on your season,
- 11:05Speaker 1: did you know who the bachelor was going to be.
- 11:07Speaker 7: Ahead of time?
- 11:07Speaker 5: No, we didn't tell us.
- 11:09Speaker 1: So that's so that's the same when I was on
- 11:11Speaker 1: it a long time ago. It used to be a
- 11:13Speaker 1: surprise when when you know, when I came out of
- 11:15Speaker 1: the out of the limousine, nobody know who I was,
- 11:20Speaker 1: and so I didn't know who any of the women were.
- 11:22Speaker 1: They didn't know who he was going to be the bachelor.
- 11:25Speaker 1: That added I think a layer of kind of like
- 11:29Speaker 1: I don't know, like innocence to the whole thing, because
- 11:32Speaker 1: there's no preconceived notions and and I think that's kind
- 11:35Speaker 1: of a nice thing. And I mean, of course the opposite,
- 11:38Speaker 1: there might be no there might be no chemistry at all,
- 11:41Speaker 1: which is fine, that's natural. You don't have chemistry with
- 11:43Speaker 1: every single person. But if I thought I knew you
- 11:46Speaker 1: because of TV, and I went to meet you because
- 11:49Speaker 1: you're on TV, and then you're not what I thought,
- 11:51Speaker 1: that's even worse.
- 11:53Speaker 2: That is so funny that you say that, because my
- 11:54Speaker 2: season was they announced me as the Bachelor, and then
- 11:58Speaker 2: they opened it up for applications, So it was an
- 12:01Speaker 2: ego stroke, right, Oh, well, you have so many people
- 12:03Speaker 2: want to sign up for this, But then it was
- 12:05Speaker 2: a lot of pressure because then I'm like, well, wait
- 12:07Speaker 2: a minute, what if they're only coming on because of
- 12:09Speaker 2: who they think I am?
- 12:10Speaker 3: And then I'm not that guy.
- 12:12Speaker 1: I literally, just just before you say it was an
- 12:14Speaker 1: ego stroop, they had a tough time.
- 12:20Speaker 2: They call mom my, Mom's like, I got ten girls
- 12:22Speaker 2: on standby, you gotta do no.
- 12:25Speaker 1: But I agree with that.
- 12:27Speaker 2: I think it will be and I think the next
- 12:28Speaker 2: you know, I'm not sure what they're going to do
- 12:30Speaker 2: for the next step of the Golden franchise, but we've
- 12:32Speaker 2: talked about this a little bit while I have it
- 12:34Speaker 2: with you sound obviously, but was c K last night.
- 12:36Speaker 2: I feel like the Golden Franchise is kind of reinvigorated
- 12:39Speaker 2: the whole Bachelor franchise and reinvigorated bacheloration because it's a
- 12:42Speaker 2: return to like what he, Andrew and I had, which
- 12:45Speaker 2: it wasn't a bunch of cat fighting and backstabbing and
- 12:47Speaker 2: everything else. It was just people there, you know, optimistic
- 12:52Speaker 2: and hopeful. You know, it wasn't like there was some
- 12:54Speaker 2: type of an agenda. I mean, there wasn't even tooth
- 12:56Speaker 2: whitening strips back then, right, So that's that.
- 12:59Speaker 1: Was what people want. They want that they want the
- 13:01Speaker 1: story with the fairy tale, and even if it doesn't
- 13:03Speaker 1: work out happily ever after, it's that like authentic chase
- 13:08Speaker 1: of of that dream that everybody wants to be a
- 13:10Speaker 1: part of. Now. You know, it's fun to watch the
- 13:12Speaker 1: cat fights, and there's there's there's a guilty pleasure and.
- 13:14Speaker 7: All of that.
- 13:15Speaker 1: There's always a bit of it. But but I think
- 13:17Speaker 1: the I think the thread that has kept it together
- 13:21Speaker 1: is that as a as a viewer, you're like, I
- 13:23Speaker 1: want this to work out. I want Saunder to be happy,
- 13:25Speaker 1: I want c k to be happy and whatever whatever
- 13:28Speaker 1: that is, whether it's with that person or in life.
- 13:30Speaker 1: And that's why people are going to follow you afterwards.
- 13:32Speaker 1: They're going to want to know what your story is
- 13:34Speaker 1: and they want you to be happy. And that's a
- 13:36Speaker 1: really nice thing.
- 13:37Speaker 3: Yeah, you'll have people invested with.
- 13:39Speaker 4: I've heard that what you're saying, I've heard that from
- 13:41Speaker 4: people I bump into at the stores and at the
- 13:43Speaker 4: airport they say that same thing, and a lot of
- 13:46Speaker 4: them say, well, I watched it when it first started,
- 13:49Speaker 4: but then I got tired of it. But when they
- 13:51Speaker 4: introduced a golden badger or I really got interested in
- 13:54Speaker 4: and now I hope they do it again and.
- 13:55Speaker 5: Blah blah blah.
- 13:56Speaker 4: So it's like you said, Bob, it reinforced the whole
- 13:59Speaker 4: friend shine to have the golden.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Lit it back up. People want to pay attention again.
- 14:04Speaker 2: I think it's I think it's a big hats off
- 14:05Speaker 2: to casting.
- 14:06Speaker 3: I really do know.
- 14:06Speaker 2: Yeah, it's the people that they bring on you know
- 14:09Speaker 2: that that have genuine I don't know, you can, they
- 14:11Speaker 2: say you can, and I know this is set in
- 14:14Speaker 2: a different way, but they say that if someone's faking
- 14:16Speaker 2: it on camera, you can see it right like you
- 14:18Speaker 2: can't hide, of course, and to see that authenticity from
- 14:21Speaker 2: all of y'all in the vulnerability. As we said, we've
- 14:23Speaker 2: heard that word a lot, and even from the guys
- 14:24Speaker 2: this weekend.
- 14:25Speaker 3: I think people relate to that.
- 14:26Speaker 6: I mean, sometimes you forget the cameras on or your
- 14:28Speaker 6: your mic I mean you just forget, yeah, because you're
- 14:31Speaker 6: so in the moment.
- 14:32Speaker 7: But I want to say this about friendships.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Right.
- 14:34Speaker 6: So I was in the supermarket and this lady comes,
- 14:37Speaker 6: Oh my god, you see cackle and she goes, is
- 14:41Speaker 6: it really true that you guys are really friensical? Yeah,
- 14:43Speaker 6: we're all really So I get my phone out.
- 14:46Speaker 7: She doesn't believe it.
- 14:46Speaker 6: So I get my phone out and I'm going through
- 14:48Speaker 6: all the guys and you know, I go, see there's
- 14:50Speaker 6: Mark right there. She goes, if I push this button
- 14:52Speaker 6: right here, I'm gonna call Mark in. She pushes the button,
- 14:56Speaker 6: He answer the phone, and she walks off.
- 15:00Speaker 7: And I think I walked.
- 15:01Speaker 6: Away thinking I can call any any moment. Yeah, I
- 15:04Speaker 6: won't go to voicemail, like they'll answers the phone and go, hey,
- 15:07Speaker 6: what's up?
- 15:08Speaker 1: What do you need? Right? And I think that that
- 15:10Speaker 1: you know, in your seasons, the people that go on
- 15:13Speaker 1: have the most to lose, meaning you're the most to risk,
- 15:16Speaker 1: the most to lose, because you have you have, you
- 15:18Speaker 1: have a family, you have, you have a job, you have,
- 15:20Speaker 1: you have your life. When you're going on as a
- 15:22Speaker 1: twenty five or twenty six year old, it's like, you know,
- 15:25Speaker 1: it's just as summer vacation. For a lot of people,
- 15:27Speaker 1: they got a couple of weeks. Yeah, and like you know,
- 15:28Speaker 1: if you go in there and you embarrass yourself or
- 15:30Speaker 1: whatever else, your your heart's broken, whatever else, you get
- 15:32Speaker 1: over it. But I think that the that the friendships
- 15:35Speaker 1: and the relationships that you guys have started from what
- 15:37Speaker 1: I've heard, are so much more impactful because I think
- 15:40Speaker 1: you recognize, Listen, we're taking time out of our real lives.
- 15:44Speaker 1: We're taking away, you know, from our from our work
- 15:47Speaker 1: and family and all these things to go and do
- 15:50Speaker 1: this together. So it's like this, uh, you know, almost
- 15:52Speaker 1: like a Stockholm syndrome where like you guys are in
- 15:55Speaker 1: this you're listening together.
- 15:57Speaker 3: Yeah, together, All right, guys, Well let's let's get to it.
- 16:00Speaker 2: So recently, the two of you became a little bit
- 16:03Speaker 2: of a tabloid fodder.
- 16:05Speaker 3: You kind of hit hit the zeitgeist.
- 16:08Speaker 5: No, that was Ai.
- 16:09Speaker 3: That was that Ai. It seems like there was a
- 16:12Speaker 3: post I'm gonna read this.
- 16:14Speaker 2: Let's see there was a K at three am, staying
- 16:18Speaker 2: out at three am, and that there was a photo
- 16:21Speaker 2: that was shared about you guys on a first date.
- 16:24Speaker 2: That's pretty spectacular. Can we let's talk about it?
- 16:29Speaker 5: Talk about it?
- 16:29Speaker 3: How happen?
- 16:30Speaker 1: What happened.
- 16:31Speaker 7: Well, it was really three am.
- 16:34Speaker 1: Well that's nice.
- 16:36Speaker 6: At the end of the day, it kind of reminded
- 16:38Speaker 6: me of being back in high school, you know where,
- 16:40Speaker 6: you know, you drop her off, you're sitting in the car.
- 16:44Speaker 6: We'll just talk, and then a couple of minutes, thirty minutes,
- 16:48Speaker 6: an hour, and then she gets to leave.
- 16:50Speaker 7: I got no, what about so and so? And then
- 16:52Speaker 7: another hour goes.
- 16:53Speaker 8: Yeah, you know that's called kidnapping, right, But you're also
- 17:02Speaker 8: not at this at this stage of the game.
- 17:03Speaker 3: You're not worried about her dad flipping on the porch
- 17:05Speaker 3: light either, right, So you got the.
- 17:09Speaker 6: She was staying with a friend of hers and there
- 17:11Speaker 6: was a light thing like is the light on or off?
- 17:14Speaker 6: That kind of thing. There was a little bit of
- 17:16Speaker 6: conversation about that. But yeah, it was an amazing experience.
- 17:21Speaker 1: I want to hear the other side pretty quiet.
- 17:24Speaker 5: He was full of ship. I'm just kidding.
- 17:27Speaker 3: I'm just kidding.
- 17:30Speaker 1: I love that.
- 17:32Speaker 4: No, we really did have good conversation through dinner before dinner,
- 17:35Speaker 4: because we had to wait to get in there. During
- 17:37Speaker 4: dinner afterwards, like, there was so much to talk about
- 17:41Speaker 4: the show, our individual lives, how we got where we are, family, kids,
- 17:47Speaker 4: the whole.
- 17:47Speaker 5: It was just there was just a lot to and
- 17:49Speaker 5: where was this?
- 17:50Speaker 1: Where was this?
- 17:50Speaker 4: You guys met up in Georgia and I was here
- 17:53Speaker 4: for the Rose Bowl parade and.
- 17:55Speaker 1: This is just recently.
- 17:56Speaker 2: Yeah, you guys met at Mentell all right, at the
- 17:58Speaker 2: Mental All Special correct, and then and then the first
- 18:01Speaker 2: date was during the Rose Bull time, right.
- 18:03Speaker 6: So let's let's go back. So the Mentell all, I
- 18:06Speaker 6: see song and I know who she was for me
- 18:11Speaker 6: and I want to always want to introduce myself as
- 18:14Speaker 6: a courtesy.
- 18:15Speaker 7: Sure, and I see her.
- 18:17Speaker 6: And I go and you know what the Mental All afterwards,
- 18:21Speaker 6: everybody's scorning, it's getting pulled. Yeah yeah, and so I
- 18:24Speaker 6: passed my soundra and they're pulling me back.
- 18:25Speaker 7: Go hey call me, she goes, I don't.
- 18:27Speaker 2: Have you know, it's like a bachelor phone tree. It's
- 18:32Speaker 2: like a dial in.
- 18:33Speaker 3: So why did you give her?
- 18:34Speaker 2: You know?
- 18:35Speaker 6: But I knew that we were I don't want to
- 18:38Speaker 6: see is it friends on Instagram?
- 18:40Speaker 3: Okay?
- 18:40Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, like install friends following?
- 18:43Speaker 7: Yeah, we following on the Instagram.
- 18:45Speaker 6: And so in my mind I felt like I can
- 18:47Speaker 6: always So they slid into.
- 18:49Speaker 2: The dmout with your kids. I've been married since Instagram's
- 18:57Speaker 2: been around. I've never slid into anybody's dms. This is
- 18:59Speaker 2: a sliding I just.
- 19:01Speaker 6: Said, hate, I just interment, here's my number. Is that
- 19:06Speaker 6: considered slide?
- 19:07Speaker 1: I think that that is exactly the definition.
- 19:10Speaker 3: Let's go, let's go to somebody.
- 19:13Speaker 7: You have to know this person.
- 19:14Speaker 8: I know.
- 19:15Speaker 1: That's the whole that's is that you don't know them.
- 19:18Speaker 1: I know her though, well apparently.
- 19:21Speaker 3: But love me. You didn't know me.
- 19:24Speaker 5: You knew you knew me.
- 19:25Speaker 7: I know.
- 19:28Speaker 6: If if my mother and I are following other on
- 19:30Speaker 6: Instagram and here's my number, is that sliding into my
- 19:33Speaker 6: mom's that's.
- 19:34Speaker 1: An entirely different count.
- 19:39Speaker 3: That's not that's not the.
- 19:42Speaker 1: Yeah, that's totally different. Okay, So sliding d M, meet
- 19:56Speaker 1: out and pass because you were going to go out there. Okay,
- 19:59Speaker 1: this is a big question. So how long between when
- 20:02Speaker 1: he sent the d M did you respond to it?
- 20:05Speaker 4: Oh?
- 20:06Speaker 5: Probably the same day, next day. I'm not sorry. I
- 20:09Speaker 5: try to. I try to keep up with my I
- 20:10Speaker 5: G I can't. But here's the thing, though, he you
- 20:14Speaker 5: slid an early sounds so naughty.
- 20:20Speaker 2: I love it.
- 20:22Speaker 4: What was October ISHU and his company had sent him
- 20:25Speaker 4: to Atlanta for a convention or something con and.
- 20:29Speaker 7: Can tell the stories go ahead for a few days.
- 20:33Speaker 7: I figured, I mean Saunders in Atlanta.
- 20:35Speaker 6: I called her up, and I made reservations at a
- 20:38Speaker 6: five star restaurant, and I went to right there in
- 20:40Speaker 6: Bucket because I was staying.
- 20:41Speaker 3: At yet I love Bucket.
- 20:42Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, real swinky.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:45Speaker 7: So I get dressed up.
- 20:47Speaker 1: Yeah, it looks like a g.
- 20:51Speaker 7: Got to reservations. He calls me up. I kept sick.
- 20:56Speaker 7: I can't make it, blah blah blah.
- 20:57Speaker 5: I was in the hospital literally it.
- 21:00Speaker 7: No, she's not in the hospital.
- 21:01Speaker 1: She's just she's blowing you out.
- 21:03Speaker 7: Yeah, you didn't believe.
- 21:06Speaker 5: I did not like that. Wow, I didn't know that.
- 21:10Speaker 6: If a girl, if a girl cancels on the first day.
- 21:13Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I hear you.
- 21:15Speaker 1: I hear you. So that was in October. Yeah, and
- 21:19Speaker 1: then so then did you communicate after October till.
- 21:21Speaker 5: Yeah, we've spoken a few times.
- 21:23Speaker 3: She called I kind of you know you at the like,
- 21:27Speaker 3: I'm sick too. I can't take.
- 21:32Speaker 5: That revelation to me.
- 21:34Speaker 3: Seriously, look at you guys play these dating games.
- 21:39Speaker 2: Man.
- 21:39Speaker 3: I love it.
- 21:40Speaker 1: I love it, but I mean, but you you can
- 21:42Speaker 1: understand why I mean he he put out the big
- 21:45Speaker 1: effort and then you pretend to be I mean, you
- 21:48Speaker 1: said you.
- 21:50Speaker 5: Believe me, I had in and out of me.
- 21:54Speaker 3: So now we know she was actually sex.
- 21:56Speaker 1: So now she's out in. Now she's out in your.
- 22:00Speaker 7: After the woods. Now it's and then did.
- 22:03Speaker 1: You tell him that you were gonna be out there?
- 22:05Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 22:05Speaker 1: Okay, so so you okay, that's that's a good sign.
- 22:07Speaker 1: She instigated it, and going back the other way she
- 22:09Speaker 1: said okay, and so now so now dinner, dinner, long conversation.
- 22:19Speaker 1: So then you're into it till three in the morning.
- 22:21Speaker 1: So what happened at two fifty nine that said like, okay,
- 22:24Speaker 1: this is this is this is what's going to stop?
- 22:26Speaker 1: Just running things to talk about?
- 22:27Speaker 7: Got it?
- 22:28Speaker 1: Did it get awkward or was there exit, embrace anything that?
- 22:34Speaker 5: Do you remember specifically?
- 22:36Speaker 1: You both remember.
- 22:37Speaker 4: I don't know what happened at the two fifty nine marks.
- 22:39Speaker 2: I'm assuming after just knowing c K for a short
- 22:43Speaker 2: period of time.
- 22:44Speaker 3: C K got out of the car, walks you to
- 22:46Speaker 3: your door, right, you're at the door.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Was there a high five or there you.
- 22:52Speaker 3: Guys lean in?
- 22:53Speaker 7: I didn't, I didn't, Oh see it.
- 22:55Speaker 2: Well that's okay, yeah, you watched me to Okay, but
- 23:00Speaker 2: before you watch, he watches you to the door, is there? Okay,
- 23:03Speaker 2: good night, and like you gotta shake hands, hug knuckles.
- 23:08Speaker 4: I think somewhere during the conversation we kissed, and I
- 23:11Speaker 4: don't know at what point. I don't know what inspired that.
- 23:13Speaker 4: I don't know, but we did kiss four or five seconds.
- 23:19Speaker 4: It was not like everlasting.
- 23:23Speaker 5: Is that a lot?
- 23:24Speaker 2: I got married for four or five seconds. My first
- 23:27Speaker 2: two kids were bored within four or five seconds. You kid,
- 23:29Speaker 2: A lot can happen during that time.
- 23:31Speaker 5: Okay, you're giving yourself away, Bob.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Okay, okay, okay, so now we know. Okay, So there
- 23:36Speaker 1: there's sparks something, whether it's a right spark, there's something
- 23:39Speaker 1: a little makeout side.
- 23:41Speaker 5: Curiosity more than spark.
- 23:43Speaker 1: What you say, Yeah, okay, and that was that the
- 23:45Speaker 1: last time you saw each other till today.
- 23:47Speaker 4: Yes, we've spoken a few times. Interesting, we're like phone
- 23:51Speaker 4: piles pin pals.
- 23:54Speaker 3: Yeah, well, I mean phone kiss.
- 23:57Speaker 7: Let me be clear, I'm going to be crystal.
- 24:00Speaker 1: You got it.
- 24:02Speaker 3: I am a guy, yes, sir, amens very attractive.
- 24:06Speaker 2: Absolutely, you're a g you said, yeah, you're pretty.
- 24:11Speaker 3: You're with the ogs.
- 24:15Speaker 7: That's right. You can't come home. You cannot. That is
- 24:22Speaker 7: not like rule book.
- 24:23Speaker 3: I agree one. Actually it's on my list the things
- 24:25Speaker 3: that must happen.
- 24:26Speaker 1: You can't come home without a kiss, or a film
- 24:28Speaker 1: or a felony.
- 24:31Speaker 3: And we've gotten both, sadly, so that kiss.
- 24:36Speaker 2: I will tell you this, guys, just f y I
- 24:38Speaker 2: and and Andrew will test, and Hanna has got data,
- 24:41Speaker 2: dreams of data to back me up on this. There
- 24:44Speaker 2: are as many successful relationships that have come from contestants
- 24:48Speaker 2: from different seasons meeting at events just like these as
- 24:52Speaker 2: there are from the actual show itself.
- 24:54Speaker 3: I would say probably more.
- 24:55Speaker 5: I believe that.
- 24:56Speaker 1: Yeah, so if the two of you would like to
- 24:58Speaker 1: forego your individual rooms, you can stay in the Carmel
- 25:01Speaker 1: Fantasy Suite. Yeah, room number seventeen. We'll kick, We'll kick
- 25:04Speaker 1: whoever's in there. Yeah.
- 25:09Speaker 2: Oh boy, all right, the show it's a whole different show, everybody.
- 25:12Speaker 1: It's going next level. Matt Sondra took us there.
- 25:15Speaker 2: You guys are having Wait, well, guys, I sense chemistry here,
- 25:21Speaker 2: and I do realize geography is a challenge, right, So
- 25:25Speaker 2: in fact, I mean you live in Pasadena, you live
- 25:27Speaker 2: in Atlanta?
- 25:28Speaker 5: Correct?
- 25:29Speaker 2: And I know you are possibly gonna be going to
- 25:31Speaker 2: South Africa for a little bit soon.
- 25:32Speaker 6: Well, yeah, so there. I live in Palos Versus way
- 25:36Speaker 6: on the other end of Okay, Angels, and of course
- 25:39Speaker 6: she's in Atlanta. Yeah, and it's a bit, it's a limited.
- 25:44Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I mean, I just want to remind you guys,
- 25:47Speaker 2: Joan lives in Maryland. Chocolate's in Kansas. Just gonna put
- 25:50Speaker 2: it out there when I'm at Canyon. I lived in Michigan.
- 25:54Speaker 7: No, I didn't.
- 25:54Speaker 1: I lived in LA and so did she.
- 25:56Speaker 3: I lived in LA but she lived in Vegas. That's
- 25:58Speaker 3: the truth.
- 26:00Speaker 2: And then but she says she was a working girl
- 26:02Speaker 2: in Vegas on you. I said that last night, and
- 26:03Speaker 2: I'm like, can you I don't think that means what
- 26:05Speaker 2: you think it means.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Luckily, there's great editing for this podcast.
- 26:10Speaker 2: They know I.
- 26:10Speaker 3: Mean giving us feet right now. It's like, yeah, And
- 26:15Speaker 3: then I had a sandwich and it was Carnda. But
- 26:17Speaker 3: I don't know why.
- 26:19Speaker 2: I think at the end of the day, Uh, there
- 26:22Speaker 2: will be a lot more events such as these where
- 26:24Speaker 2: you know you can have frequency of visitation.
- 26:27Speaker 4: And I'm just saying, no, you're playing Cupid is which
- 26:31Speaker 4: I am I like you both, so that's good.
- 26:34Speaker 3: I'm just saying, don't, don't, don't cut it short before
- 26:37Speaker 3: you have to.
- 26:38Speaker 1: No, I think I think this is This is one
- 26:39Speaker 1: of the cool things that happens with the with the
- 26:41Speaker 1: network within the Bachelor is you find like minded people
- 26:45Speaker 1: that are kind, considerate, looking for the same things, willing
- 26:49Speaker 1: to be vulnerable, willing to open themselves up and.
- 26:51Speaker 3: Willing to take chances, willing to take chances.
- 26:53Speaker 1: And and with that, you know, whether it's you you
- 26:56Speaker 1: guys never have a three M conversation again, or if
- 26:59Speaker 1: you have a thousand more, it happened and you're better
- 27:01Speaker 1: for it. Yeah, I think that's a really special thing.
- 27:03Speaker 1: So I'm a job.
- 27:04Speaker 3: Andrew is great at this. He doesn't think he's good
- 27:07Speaker 3: at this. I'm like, you're very good at this.
- 27:09Speaker 2: So philosophical, just like the Bachelor. He's me, but way better,
- 27:14Speaker 2: just like the when he's on the Bachelor. That's why
- 27:16Speaker 2: he's my favorite Bachelor right there. All right, we almost
- 27:19Speaker 2: famous the OG podcast. We're gonna let you guys off
- 27:21Speaker 2: the hook right now. We're gonna let you off the hook.
- 27:23Speaker 2: But we're not done.
- 27:23Speaker 1: We had more, Yeah, trust me, two more days of this.
- 27:29Speaker 1: I can't wait to knock on your door three and like.
- 27:33Speaker 3: Got the camera door sixty nine.
- 27:36Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, wow, Okay, turn your kid's eyes away from
- 27:40Speaker 2: the camera, everybody, we're talking about the room number sixty

- 27:45Speaker 2: K thank you both so much. This was so great
- 27:47Speaker 2: to make new friends.
- 27:48Speaker 1: I love this.
- 27:49Speaker 5: Thanks Andrew.
- 27:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 27:52Speaker 6: Being with the folks last night and all yesterday it
- 27:57Speaker 6: makes me feel like I'm just really really glad. Is hey,
- 28:01Speaker 6: I thank you for making me do this, because I'm
- 28:03Speaker 6: glad I did and just looking at Chalk and John
- 28:06Speaker 6: interact night it kind of made me endious and I thought,
- 28:10Speaker 6: you know.
- 28:10Speaker 3: What I want that Well, it just might be sitting
- 28:12Speaker 3: right next to you. I'm just gonna say.
- 28:14Speaker 1: I'm married, So I think it's.
- 28:18Speaker 3: Oh yeah about oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 28:20Speaker 2: Hey, hey, either way, he's just now getting the other
- 28:24Speaker 2: way the other way.
- 28:25Speaker 1: Give you cue cards, you gotta keep. He's quick. He's
- 28:29Speaker 1: got six hours of the golf course of me in
- 28:30Speaker 1: a little while. So yeah, you're gonna learn.
- 28:32Speaker 3: That sense of hum very fast, buddy.
- 28:35Speaker 6: I do appreciate that experience, you know. Chalk anticipated her needs. Yeah,
- 28:41Speaker 6: how she responded to him. I thought it was very,
- 28:47Speaker 6: very very classic.
- 28:47Speaker 3: Well, they're the real deal, you know.
- 28:49Speaker 2: I like that we were talking about earlier, the quiet,
- 28:51Speaker 2: the kind of the quiet confidence that they have together
- 28:53Speaker 2: as a couple.
