- 0:01Luke chapter one, let us pray. Heavenly Father, we love you.
- 0:08Lord Jesus, we thank you for another day to come and worship
- 0:12you in spirit and truth. We thank you, Father, for your
- 0:15eternal words. God, I pray in the name of Jesus
- 0:19that you will give us our worth and give us our dignity.
- 0:22Help us, Father, to know how much we are loved.
- 0:26Thank you, Lord, for all the many blessings that you pour and
- 0:30lavish upon us. Thank you God, for life.
- 0:33Thank you God for family. Thank you God, for the very next
- 0:37breath. Thank you, Lord, that you've
- 0:39given us your infallible inerrant.
- 0:42Thank you, Jesus Christ, for your ultimate sacrifice on the
- 0:46cross. Thank you for the blood that
- 0:48covers us. Holy Spirit, come in and teach
- 0:51us. We hide the word in our hearts
- 0:54so that we might not sin against you.
- 0:56I decrease as you increase. Teach us your eternal paths,
- 1:00your eternal ways. I pray in the name of Jesus
- 1:03today, Amen. Let's start in verse one.
- 1:09For as much as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a
- 1:14declaration of those things which are most surely believed
- 1:18among us, Amen. We're still talking about it
- 1:21today. We're still talking about the
- 1:24Lord Jesus today, friends. It is surely believed among us.
- 1:29Can't do anything with this word of God.
- 1:31Heaven and earth shall pass away.
- 1:33But not one of these words, friends.
- 1:36And here Luke is the physician. He is letting us know that he is
- 1:41a scholar. He's letting us know that he is
- 1:44educated. He's letting us know that what
- 1:47we believe in is backed up up by so much evidence.
- 1:54And here he was wanting us to have the certainty of our faith,
- 2:00to know that what we believe in is believable.
- 2:03Friends, it's not something that we should doubt.
- 2:09We should know that all of this is backed up by so much history.
- 2:16It's backed up by proven facts, and we cannot believe the lie
- 2:22that the world is trying to sell that the Bible was written by
- 2:25man. This is a book that man would
- 2:29not write if he could, and he could not write it if he would.
- 2:34We need to know that the Bible is God's word.
- 2:37The Bible is the authority. It is the spoken word of God.
- 2:43It is alive and active friends and here Luke is tapping into
- 2:49it. Luke is being hijacked by the
- 2:52Holy Spirit and being inspired to write all of these words that
- 2:57will last the till the end of the days.
- 3:01It will last the test of time. We need to know that this book
- 3:07is reading us. We need to know the same thing
- 3:11that Luke started to understand as he took this on to to search
- 3:19all the unsearchable truths to search out and to seek out all
- 3:24of the facts. We need to know that all of this
- 3:28is true, All of this is testable.
- 3:32All of this is God's holy Word and and it is trustworthy and we
- 3:41can build our life upon it. It is the cornerstone, friends,
- 3:48and if you will build your life upon it, you will find the peace
- 3:53that you are searching for. It is whenever we are blown by
- 3:58every wind and tossed by every wave is whenever the doubt comes
- 4:03in. This is whenever the fear creeps
- 4:05in, the anxiety and depression comes in, friends, is whenever
- 4:08we doubt this holy word. But whenever you stand upon this
- 4:13word, friends, you will not be shaken by every wind.
- 4:17You will not be blown and tossed by every wave, and you can stand
- 4:22on the solid ground of the word of God and it is trustworthy and
- 4:29true. And that is what Luke has set
- 4:32out to do is to give us our certainty and our surety.
- 4:37Verse 2, even as they delivered them unto us, which from the
- 4:41beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of the Word.
- 4:46We know that it's trustworthy and true because of how many
- 4:49eyewitness accounts there that history proves the word of God.
- 4:54Three. It seemed good to me also,
- 4:57having had perfect understanding of all things from the very
- 5:03first to write unto you in order, most excellent,
- 5:06Theophilus. So here Luke is claiming to have
- 5:09the perfect understanding. This is divine counsel, friends,
- 5:14and he's writing to Theophilus, who is a lover of God.
- 5:17That's what his name means. I pray that you are a lover of
- 5:20God. Let God love you, friends, for
- 5:24that you might know the certainty of those things
- 5:28wherein you have been instructed.
- 5:30We need to be instructed in the word of God.
- 5:33We need to have the certainty of what we believe in.
- 5:36We cannot just believe all the little lies that come our way
- 5:40about the Bible, about Jesus, about God.
- 5:45We cannot just latch on to all these lies.
- 5:48We have to be sure footed friends.
- 5:50We need to be locked step friends, and it's found by
- 5:55getting into the Word of God for yourself and knowing the Word of
- 5:58God for yourself and owning the Word of God for yourself and
- 6:03reading it and learning it and knowing it and believing it and
- 6:08not calling any of it into question.
- 6:12That is where you're going to find an immense amount of peace,
- 6:15friends. Five.
- 6:18There was in the days of Herod the king of Judea, a certain
- 6:22priest named Zechariah of the course of Abia, and his wife was
- 6:28of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth.
- 6:31This is the birth of John the Baptist being prophesied about
- 6:36being told about 6:00 And they were both righteous before God,
- 6:42walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord,
- 6:45blameless. So imagine that.
- 6:47Look at how Zechariah and Elizabeth, they were righteous
- 6:52friends, and they were blameless in the sight of God. 7 And they
- 6:58had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and they both were
- 7:02now well stricken in years they were old. 8 And it came to pass
- 7:09that while he executed the priest's office before God in
- 7:12the order of his course, 9 according to the custom of the
- 7:16priest office, his lot was to burn incense when he went into
- 7:21the temple of the Lord. 10 And the whole multitude of the
- 7:25people were praying outside at the time of incense. 11 And
- 7:29there appeared unto him an Angel of the Lord standing on the
- 7:33right side of the altar of incense.
- 7:36So here Luke is painting the picture.
- 7:39Luke is letting us know it's reliable.
- 7:42Luke is giving us all the details.
- 7:44He's giving us the history of Zechariah in the history of
- 7:50Elizabeth, and letting us know that they were without child.
- 7:54And it beckons us back to the same God, the same Spirit that
- 7:59you see over whenever we are reading about Abraham and Sarah
- 8:05and we're reading about the birth and they were being
- 8:07foretold of Isaac. And Sarah laughed.
- 8:10And here Zechariah is trying to figure out how him and
- 8:14Elizabeth, who are old in age are going to have a child.
- 8:17And isn't this just like God? You can see these themes that
- 8:21come back up. God is such an amazing God.
- 8:26And he does the impossible so that he gets the credit.
- 8:30That man does not get the credit, friends, that God.
- 8:33God gets the credit and he knows what he's doing.
- 8:35And he takes these two older, blameless people that are well
- 8:41in age, and he is going to allow them to have a child, their only
- 8:48child. And here we're going to get to
- 8:51know this child more. So here's Zechariah is in the
- 8:54temple, and he's burning the incense. 12 And when Zechariah
- 8:58saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him.
- 9:02That's the appropriate response. When you see an Angel, you see
- 9:07it all throughout Scripture. And immediately the Angel says,
- 9:10Do not fear. 13 But the Angel said unto him, Fear not,
- 9:14Zechariah, for your prayer is heard, and your wife Elizabeth
- 9:18shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. 14 And
- 9:24you shall have joy and gladness, and many shall rejoice at his
- 9:30birth here. We know that this is John the
- 9:32Baptist. We know that he's coming on the
- 9:35scene. We know that these were his
- 9:37parents here. And Luke is so detailed in how
- 9:41it all came about. And many shall rejoice at his
- 9:45birth. They beheld John as a prophet.
- 9:4815 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall
- 9:52drink neither wine nor strong drink, and he shall be filled
- 9:56with the Holy Ghost even from his mother's womb.
- 9:59We know that John was a Nazarite.
- 10:01We know that he was not to touch, ferment, to drink.
- 10:05You can see the Spirit of the Lord all upon this man and upon
- 10:09his ministry, the forerunner of our Lord Jesus Christ. 16 and
- 10:13many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their
- 10:17God. He's going to come in the spirit
- 10:20of Elijah, friends. 17 And he shall go before him in the
- 10:24spirit and the power of Elijah to turn the hearts of the
- 10:28fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the
- 10:32just to make ready of people prepared for the the Lord,
- 10:36repent and be baptized is the ministry in the message of John
- 10:41the Baptist. We know that he was forerunner
- 10:45for Jesus Christ and he was unworthy to even latch the shoes
- 10:50of the Lord. You know that John the Baptist
- 10:53came and that he was in the power of Elijah.
- 10:57And we know that he had a leather belt girded around his
- 11:00waist, and the camel hair for a coat. 18 And Zechariah said unto
- 11:06the Angel, How shall I know this?
- 11:10For I am an old man, and my wife is well stricken in years.
- 11:14So he was doubting how this could happen. 19 And the Angel
- 11:19answered and said unto him, I am Gabriel.
- 11:22This stands in the presence of God.
- 11:25And I am sent to speak unto you, and to show you these glad
- 11:29tidings. So here Gabriel is showing
- 11:37Zechariah that he should not doubt that Gabriel stands in the
- 11:43presence of God. He's come as a messenger on a
- 11:48special assignment to Zechariah in the temple that he's burning
- 11:52the incense. 20 And behold, you shall be dumb and not able to
- 12:03speak until the day that these things shall be performed,
- 12:06because you did not believe my words, which shall be fulfilled
- 12:10in their seasons. When God speaks a word should
- 12:13not ever doubt it, friends. 21 And the people waited for
- 12:18Zechariah and marveled that he tarried so long in the temple.
- 12:2222 And when he came out, he could not speak to them, and
- 12:26they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple, for he
- 12:29beckoned unto them and remained speechless.
- 12:34When God speaks a word over us, friends, let's lay hold of it
- 12:41and let's believe it. And do not doubt and let your
- 12:44faith increase, friends, let your faith increase when God
- 12:49speaks a word to you. And this entire word that you
- 12:53hold in your hands is God's word.
- 12:55And if you want to know the unrevealed will of God, start
- 12:59obeying this revealed will that you hold in your hands.
- 13:02God tells you what it is that He desires of you.
- 13:05Friends, we need obedience. 23 And it came to pass that as soon
- 13:12as the days of his administration were
- 13:15accomplished, he departed to his own house. 24 And after those
- 13:19days his wife Elizabeth conceived and hid herself five
- 13:23months, saying, 25 Thus has the Lord dealt with me in the days
- 13:28where he looked on me to take away my reproach among men.
- 13:34So here Elizabeth is able to conceive in her old age.
- 13:40Here Zechariah is not able to speak because he didn't believe
- 13:47Gabriel when Gabriel arrived on the scene.
- 13:50What an amazing account that Luke is able to pin and he's
- 13:58being inspired by the Holy Spirit.
- 14:02He's getting to see inside of the temple as Zechariah's
- 14:07offering the incest. He's getting to see the whole
- 14:10event enabled to pin it down for us as a reliable source for us
- 14:16to believe in. 26 and in the sixth month, the Angel Gabriel
- 14:21was sent from God unto a city of Galilee named Nazareth.
- 14:28We know that Jesus is the branch.
- 14:30That is what Nazareth means, and he was a Nazarene 27 to a virgin
- 14:39espoused to a man whose name was Joseph of the House of David,
- 14:43and the virgin's name was Mary. So all this is probably very
- 14:48familiar to you, but you need to know that Gabriel is arriving on
- 14:55the scene, and we need to know that Mary was betrothed to
- 15:02Joseph. They were not yet married, but
- 15:05they were engaged, and that they had no sexual relations with
- 15:13each other. She was still a virgin.
- 15:15And here comes Gabriel to speak to her. 28 And the Angel came in
- 15:21unto her and said, Hail, you that are highly favored, the
- 15:26Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women.
- 15:31So here we can see that Mary is being visited by Gabriel.
- 15:39We know that she's a virgin, we know that she's a spouse to
- 15:42Joseph, We know that she is highly favored and the Lord is
- 15:48with her, and that she is blessed. 29 And when she saw
- 15:53him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind
- 15:57what manner of salutation this should be.
- 16:00Can you imagine this Angel visiting Mary and her being
- 16:06troubled at this greeting from the Angel?
- 16:11And the Angel said, 30 And the Angel said unto her, Fear not,
- 16:15Mary, for you have found favor with God.
- 16:18I pray that you have found favor with God.
- 16:21I pray that the favor of God rest upon you today, friends. 31
- 16:25And behold, you shall conceive in your womb, and bring forth
- 16:29the Son, and shall call his name Jesus. 32 He shall be great, and
- 16:36shall be called the Son of the Highest.
- 16:39And the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father
- 16:43David. 33 And he shall reign over the House of Jacob Forever,
- 16:48and of his Kingdom there shall be no end.
- 16:51Mark it down, highlight it, underline it, circle it.
- 16:55Friends make notes. Friends, praise the Lord God for
- 16:59these verses. Friends, look at what Jesus is
- 17:05going to do and what he is doing and what he has already done.
- 17:09What is he doing? He is the Son of the highest, He
- 17:13is the great. He is on the throne.
- 17:21He is reigning forever and His Kingdom there is no end to
- 17:28friends. These are eternal promises that
- 17:32we can bank on. This is the cornerstone of our
- 17:35faith, friends. This is what we believe in.
- 17:38This is how we get through this life, friends.
- 17:42It's by latching on to these promises, latching on to these
- 17:47truths. Friends, there is no end to
- 17:50Jesus Christ reign. He is reigning forever, and
- 17:56there is no end. 34 Then Mary said unto the Angel, How shall
- 18:01this be saying, I know not a man?
- 18:07She's saying, I'm still a virgin.
- 18:08How will I have a child? 35 And the Angel answered and
- 18:12said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon you, and the
- 18:16power of the Highest shall over shadow you.
- 18:19Therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of you shall
- 18:24be called Son of God. So this was the Immaculate
- 18:29Conception, friends, and Mary was favored, but she is not
- 18:38divinity. She is just a human who was
- 18:42chosen by God. 36 And behold, your cousin Elizabeth, she has
- 18:47also conceived a son in her old age, and this is the 6th month
- 18:52with her, who was called Baron. 37 For with God nothing shall be
- 18:57impossible. Underline it, highlight it,
- 18:59circle it. Verse 37 With God nothing is
- 19:04impossible. Increase your faith today,
- 19:07friends. 38 And Mary said, behold the handmaid of the Lord,
- 19:12be it unto me according to your word.
- 19:15And the Angel departed from her. Look at how she got it right in
- 19:19verse 38. You see how Zechariah got it
- 19:22wrong when he questioned it here Mary just took it by faith and
- 19:26that's a word for us today. Are you more like Zechariah and
- 19:30doubt the words of God and don't think they pertain to you, and
- 19:34you look at the natural? Or are you more like Mary, who
- 19:38whenever the impossible comes your way, do you take it by
- 19:41faith and say, yes, with God anything is possible?
- 19:45I pray that you're more like that. 39 And Mary arose in those
- 19:49days and went into the Hill Country with haste, into a city
- 19:53of Judah. 40 and entered into the House of Zechariah, and
- 19:57saluted Elizabeth. 41 And it came to pass that when Elizabeth
- 20:02heard the salutation of. Mary the babe leapt in her womb
- 20:07and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost.
- 20:09Praise God. Hallelujah, Holy Ghost moving.
- 20:13Holy Ghost is in the midst. Holy Ghost is leaping.
- 20:17Holy Ghost is filling. Look at how this is happening
- 20:23right here when you see John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ
- 20:28being united here in this room. How amazing these two women got
- 20:34to experience this. Friends 42 And she spoke out
- 20:40with a loud voice and said, Blessed are you among women, and
- 20:46blessed is the fruit of your womb.
- 20:49Praise God real recognizes real praise God.
- 20:53You see John the Baptist leaping within the womb of Elizabeth.
- 20:57You see Mary housing divinity, Praise God. 43 And how is this
- 21:06to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
- 21:11Elizabeth got it right. She knew that Mary housed the
- 21:16Son of God. And how is it that God would
- 21:20come as a baby, a helpless little baby, into a Manger?
- 21:27Friends, lock in, pay attention. You're going to learn so much
- 21:30about God. He could have came any way that
- 21:33he wanted to, but he chose to come as a baby, a helpless
- 21:38little baby. And He did it for you, and he
- 21:40did it for me, Friends, to die on a cross, a criminal's cross,
- 21:44a perfect man who lived a sinless life so that you and I
- 21:47could make it there with him. Praise God, Hallelujah. 43 is an
- 21:53amazing verse 44 for lo, as soon as the voice of your salutation
- 21:58sounded in my ears, the babe leapt in my womb for joy.
- 22:03Do you leap for joy whenever the Lord visits you?
- 22:06Friends, I pray that you're undone.
- 22:08I pray that you're wrecked. Friends, I pray in the name of
- 22:11Jesus that you are completely emptied of yourself and filled
- 22:17with the Holy Ghost today. 45 And blessed is she that
- 22:21believed, for there shall be a performance of those things
- 22:26which were told her from the Lord.
- 22:28So here Elizabeth is putting her stamp and saying, Mary, because
- 22:32you believed. You're not like my husband over
- 22:34here who is mute because he didn't believe.
- 22:37When the Angel of the Lord appeared unto you, when Gabriel
- 22:41told you what would happen, you said yes and Amen.
- 22:43And what a word for you and for me today.
- 22:46Friends, we need to say yes and Amen to all of the words that
- 22:49are contained in this book. When we get in this book and we
- 22:53uncover and discover all the truths that are in it, we need
- 22:56to say yes and Amen to them. 46 And Mary said, My soul does
- 23:02magnify the Lord. 47 My spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior,
- 23:0848 For he has regarded the lowest state of his handmade.
- 23:12For behold, from now on all generations shall call me
- 23:16blessed. 49 For he that is mighty has done to me great
- 23:21things, and holy is his name. 50 And his mercy is on them that
- 23:26fears him from generation to generation. 51 He has showed
- 23:31strength with his arm. He has scattered the proud and
- 23:34the imagination of their hearts. 52 He has put down the mighty
- 23:39from their seats and exalted them of low degree. 53 He has
- 23:43filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent
- 23:47empty away. 54 He has helped his servant Israel in remembrance of
- 23:54his mercy. 55 And he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham, and to
- 23:59his seed forever. 56 And Mary abode with her about 3 months,
- 24:05and returned to her own house. So we can see that. 46 through
- 24:1255, this is the Magnificat. We can see that Mary here, she
- 24:19just breaks out into song. We can see here that she
- 24:23magnifies the Lord. She here she sees that the Lord
- 24:28has shined his face upon her. And we can see all of these
- 24:34biblical truths that we can uncover, and we can go in and we
- 24:39can highlight, and we can look at each one of these verses and
- 24:43see just how God works, the nature of God Almighty.
- 24:49We can see that Mary took him at His word and she was blessed.
- 24:54And we can see how generations are still talking about her.
- 24:59We can see that God is mighty. We can see that God's name is
- 25:04holy. We can see that God is mercy.
- 25:07We can see that He is from generation to generation.
- 25:11We can see that he is strong. We can see that he scatters all
- 25:16the proud and all the vain imagination of people's hearts.
- 25:21He scatters it, friends. It's nothing to him.
- 25:24He just speaks a word and it is scattered.
- 25:27We can see that He puts down all of the mighty, those that want
- 25:33to try to exalt themselves, God will humble.
- 25:36We can see that he lifts up all those that are downcast that are
- 25:41searching for him. We can see that He fills the
- 25:45hungry. We can see that he sends the
- 25:47rich away empty handed. We can see that he helps Israel.
- 25:51He's still for Israel today, friends.
- 25:54He's still for those people. Those are His chosen people and
- 25:58we would do well to stand with Israel so that we can be
- 26:02blessed. Do not turn your backs on
- 26:04Israel. He loves Israel in His mercy.
- 26:08He is still speaking a better word over us and over this
- 26:13wicked and dark generation and world today.
- 26:17Friends, we need to stand on this holy Word and be found
- 26:20standing with Israel. 57 Now Elizabeth's full time came that
- 26:26she should be delivered as she brought forth the son. 58 and
- 26:29her neighbors and her cousins heard now heard how the Lord has
- 26:33showed great mercy upon her, and they rejoiced with her.
- 26:37Do you rejoice with people that the Lord is blessing?
- 26:42You can tell who's really for you when you're being blessed,
- 26:46because people should rejoice with you, they should not try to
- 26:49break you down. 59 And it came to pass that on the 8th day they
- 26:54came to circumcise the child, and they called him Zechariah,
- 26:59after the name of his father. 60 And his mother answered and
- 27:03said, Not so he shall be called John. 61 And they said unto her,
- 27:08There is none of your kindred that is called by this name. 62
- 27:12And they made signs to his father how he would have him
- 27:16called. 63 And he asked for a writing tablet, and wrote,
- 27:20saying, His name is John. And they marveled all. 64 And
- 27:27his mouth was opened immediately, his tongue was
- 27:30loosed, and he spoke and praised God. 65 And fear came on all
- 27:38that dwelled round and about them, and all these things were
- 27:42noised abroad throughout all the Hill Country of Judea.
- 27:46So you can see here that Zechariah and Elizabeth were
- 27:52obedient unto God. They were obedient to the words
- 27:56that Gabriel told them that his name should be called John.
- 27:59They were trying to name him after his father Zechariah, and
- 28:03because he was mute, they thought that they had some kind
- 28:07of say to it. But praise God for the obedience
- 28:11of this husband and wife, who were blessed with John the
- 28:15Baptist being the parents of John the Baptist.
- 28:18And immediately, whenever he acknowledged what Gabriel had
- 28:24told him by naming him John, now he can speak again.
- 28:28And it was noised abroad, friends.
- 28:31And immediately Zechariah praised God. 66 And all they
- 28:38that heard them laid them in their heart, saying, What manner
- 28:42of child shall this be? And the hand of the Lord was
- 28:46with him. So we can see that John the
- 28:49Baptist made a splash on the scene as soon as he was birthed.
- 28:53You can see that the people were wondering what type of man this
- 28:57should be. And we see that John the Baptist
- 29:00ministry started before he was even conceived. 67 And his
- 29:06father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Ghost and prophesied,
- 29:10saying, 68 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, for he has
- 29:17visited and redeemed his people, 69 and has raised up a horn of
- 29:22salvation for us in the House of his servant David. 70 And he
- 29:26spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since
- 29:30the world began. 71 And that we should be saved from our
- 29:35enemies, and from the hand of all that hate US. 72 to perform
- 29:41the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his
- 29:44holy covenant, 73 the oath which he swore to our father Abraham,
- 29:5074 that he would grant unto us, that we, being delivered out of
- 29:55the hand of our enemies, might serve him without fear, 75 in
- 30:00holiness and righteousness before him all the days of our
- 30:05life. 76 And you, child, shall be called the prophet of the
- 30:10Highest, for you shall go before the face of the Lord to prepare
- 30:15his way, 77 to give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the
- 30:20remission of their sins, 78 through the tender mercy of our
- 30:25God, whereby the dayspring from on high has visited US. 79 to
- 30:30give them, to give light to them, them that sit in darkness
- 30:35and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of
- 30:38peace. 80 And the child grew and waxed strong in spirit, and was
- 30:45in the deserts till the day of his showing unto Israel.
- 30:49So here we can see Zechariah is filled with the Holy Ghost.
- 30:53We can see that he's prophesying about his Son and the life that
- 30:57he should live. We can see so much eternal truth
- 31:01here in these verses. You can see how Zechariah could
- 31:07foresee. He could prophecy, he could look
- 31:11into what manner of child this should be and what does he say
- 31:14about him? He's filled with the Holy Ghost
- 31:19and he starts prophesying. He says blessed is the Lord God.
- 31:26He's visited and redeemed his people.
- 31:28So this is after 400 years of silence from Malachi to Matthew.
- 31:35You can see that John the Baptist is arriving on the
- 31:39scene. And what did Jesus say about
- 31:41John the Baptist? He said there was no greater
- 31:45prophet than John the Baptist. But the least in the Kingdom of
- 31:48God is greater than John the Baptist.
- 31:51We can see how the Holy Spirit came on them, but the Holy
- 31:55Spirit lives in US. And do you not know that you're
- 31:58the temple of the Lord? Friends, think about it.
- 32:01There's more power in one Christian than all the armies of
- 32:05the entire world. There's more power in one
- 32:08Christian. Who sold out to the King of
- 32:10Kings and the Lord of Lords than all the nuclear bombs in the
- 32:14entire world? Friends.
- 32:15There's more power in US, friends, and we need to know who
- 32:21we are and who we belong to and the power that we have and that
- 32:25is available to us. We need to know that God has
- 32:31visited us 69 and has raised up a horn of salvation.
- 32:37This is strength, friends, that comes from our salvation.
- 32:42Do you have a salvation story? What is your testimony?
- 32:45Bring it upon your lips. Tell yourself it.
- 32:48Tell somebody else it. Recount your salvation story.
- 32:52There's so much strength in it, this horn.
- 33:00The House of the servant David. So we know that Jesus Christ
- 33:05came from the lineage of David, from the root and the stump of
- 33:08Jesse. He we know that he's the branch.
- 33:1270 And he spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have
- 33:16been since the world began. Think about that, friends.
- 33:19When Noah was building a boat, he was prophesying the
- 33:22destruction of the world. We can see it all here. 71 We
- 33:27should be saved from our enemies and from the hand of all that
- 33:31hate us. The Jews are the most persecuted
- 33:34people group on planet earth. They're hated for no reason.
- 33:37They're hated because Satan knows that the Messiah would
- 33:43come through them and he tried to destroy them.
- 33:46But she can't do nothing with these people.
- 33:48They're here to the end of time. 72 to perform the mercy promised
- 33:53to our fathers and to remember His holy covenant.
- 33:56He told them that they would not pass away from the face of the
- 34:01earth before He came. 73 And look at us, We're still talking
- 34:07about him. 73 The oath which he swore to our father Abraham.
- 34:12And God is good at what he does, and he knows how to bring
- 34:17everything in that needs to happen.
- 34:21He knows what he's doing, Friends, we need to trust him.
- 34:25And he told Abraham how it would be, and nothing has changed
- 34:32since the promises that he gave to Abraham.
- 34:35Those promises will be fulfilled from the time that He told
- 34:40Abraham all the way into the time that Jesus comes and takes
- 34:45His rightful place on planet earth for the thousand year
- 34:50reign. 74 that He would grant unto us, that we, being
- 34:57delivered out of the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without
- 35:01fear. Do not have fear, friends.
- 35:03Serve God. 75 holiness, righteousness before Him.
- 35:09All the days of our life we need to have this holiness and
- 35:12righteousness that only comes from the saving blood of Jesus
- 35:18Christ is how we get our holiness and our righteousness.
- 35:20Friends, pray that you're clothed in the blood of Christ
- 35:25from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet.
- 35:28Friends, be drenched in the blood, not just dipped in the
- 35:32water. 76 And then he talks straight to John the Baptist,
- 35:37and he says, Child, you shall be called the prophet of the
- 35:42highest, for you will go before the face of the Lord to prepare
- 35:45his ways. We know this is John the Baptist
- 35:5277 to give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the
- 35:58remission of their sins. This is the blood of Christ.
- 36:02This is how we know that we can that we are saved.
- 36:04You should know that you know that you know that you know that
- 36:08you're going to bust heaven wide open.
- 36:10You should not have a hope. So maybe so kind of faith,
- 36:13friends, you need to have a know so kind of faith.
- 36:15And you can have that today. Confess with your mouth that
- 36:20Jesus is Lord. Believe in your heart that God
- 36:23raised him from the dead. And you can know that you know
- 36:26that you know that you know that you're going to bust him wide
- 36:30open. 78 through the tender mercy of our God, whereby the
- 36:35dayspring from on high has visited us.
- 36:38I pray that the Dayspring from on high has visited you today,
- 36:43friends, the Sun of Righteousness coming with
- 36:46healing on his wings. I pray that you are made whole
- 36:52today in your mind. I pray that you're made whole
- 36:55today in your thoughts. I pray that you're made whole
- 36:58today in your heart and in your emotions.
- 37:02I pray in the name of Jesus that this wellspring of life is
- 37:07coming in and filling you today, this day, Spring from on high
- 37:1579. You can see that He is giving
- 37:20light to us, that we do not need to sit in darkness, we do not
- 37:26need to sit in the shadow of death, that He desires to guide
- 37:32our feet into the way of peace. I pray that you have found this
- 37:36way of peace. Jesus is the way, the truth and
- 37:40the life. We need to know that He is light
- 37:46and He will shine light on all the darkness of all the things
- 37:50that are trying to plague you, all the things that are trying
- 37:53to drag you away into hell. Friends, we need to shine the
- 37:58light and have Jesus break the chains.
- 38:02Friends, He will guide us. Acknowledge Him today and He's
- 38:06going to guide you into the way of peace.
- 38:09Do you have peace in your life? There is no peace apart from
- 38:12God. Will end on 80.
- 38:15We can see that this child John the Baptist grew.
- 38:20We can see that he is strong in the Spirit.
- 38:25We can see that his ministry was of a Nazarite.
- 38:32We can see that locust and honey was his food.
- 38:37We can see that he was the forerunner for Jesus.
- 38:43An amazing chapter. And if you go back and think
- 38:45about it here, Luke, this educated physician, is writing
- 38:50all these things. And there is so much here that
- 38:55he's writing to the common man to let us know why we believe
- 38:58what we believe. And we would do well, friends,
- 39:02to believe every single syllable, every jot and every
- 39:06title. And watch how this piece comes
- 39:09flooding in and you can walk in the spirit of the Lord today,
- 39:15knowing that He's fighting your battles and that you are more
- 39:18than a conqueror, and that He loves you and He's for you and
- 39:23He's not against you. And if He's for you, then who
- 39:27can be against you? Friends, think about it.
- 39:30You have access to the throne room of God.
- 39:33You have access to more riches than this earth could ever
- 39:38provide. God is the one that created
- 39:41everything, and everything was made by Him and for him and to
- 39:45Him, and we need to be sold out to Him.
- 39:48Nothing compartmentalized, nothing held back, nothing held
- 39:52behind our backs when we go and lay ourselves on the altar as a
- 39:56living sacrifice. And renew your mind today with
- 40:00the washing of the word of God over it.
- 40:07I pray that you've been blessed by this chapter.
- 40:09I know I sure have, many times over.
- 40:13It's trustworthy, it's true, it's reliable.
- 40:17I'm praying for every single one of you.
- 40:21I love you. So does God, so does our Lord
- 40:27Jesus. I pray the Holy Spirit fills you
- 40:31today, friend. We'll see you back here
- 40:36tomorrow. God bless you.
