- 0:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean simple.
- 0:05SPEAKER_01: Streaming to all the places.
- 0:07SPEAKER_01: Welcome to the show.
- 0:11SPEAKER_01: I wrote a book a while back.
- 0:14SPEAKER_01: And uh one of the things that um that was annoying for me.
- 0:21SPEAKER_01: Writing a book is very well, you're putting your stuff out there for the world to see and critique, etc.
- 0:27SPEAKER_01: And one of the things you got to do is get a um picture of you that's gonna go in the book.
- 0:34SPEAKER_01: So had to like uh uh we we found someone local that takes you know portrait pictures and went and and got them done.
- 0:47SPEAKER_01: It was it was uh somewhat expensive.
- 0:50SPEAKER_01: It took a couple of hours, had to schedule it, had to wait a week to go do it, then had to wait a week to see the images, and um I really didn't uh we're all real critical of the uh images of ourselves, right?
- 1:04SPEAKER_01: So I wasn't happy with it.
- 1:06SPEAKER_01: They were good, they're good enough, etc.
- 1:09SPEAKER_01: That um here's here's the photo we we landed on.
- 1:15SPEAKER_01: My big fingers in the way.
- 1:17SPEAKER_01: We landed on this photo here, right?
- 1:20SPEAKER_01: Wherever however I can point backwards in your brain, your brain struggles with this.
- 1:24SPEAKER_01: Anyway, that's the picture we landed on, right?
- 1:27SPEAKER_01: And I just had a few options.
- 1:29SPEAKER_01: It wasn't my favorite picture, but it's one you had to go with.
- 1:32SPEAKER_01: But that image conveys so much about you.
- 1:36SPEAKER_01: If you're confident, what you're there's just there's just a lot that should go into a great image that represents you for the situation, be it a speaking engagement, be it a newsletter, be it on your website.
- 1:51SPEAKER_01: There's all these different things, and it's expensive and hard to do, and most people, most people, like me in that case, didn't get the best representation representation.
- 2:02SPEAKER_01: And that's what uh today's topic's about is that we have all these photos, these selfies on our our phone, or maybe someone took a picture of us, and it's it's you in that moment.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: It's not the best picture, right?
- 2:18SPEAKER_01: But but it's what you have, and what if wouldn't it be cool if you could take that picture and get it dialed in to uh be exactly uh like you want?
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: And that's what we're gonna do today because it saves you time, save you money, you have control, you can get all these versions.
- 2:34SPEAKER_01: Um, it's it's revolutionary.
- 2:36SPEAKER_01: And so Google's made this um uh product.
- 2:39SPEAKER_01: We're gonna use Google Gemini today.
- 2:43SPEAKER_01: And we're going to, if I get this right, yes, we're going to play around with this in real.
- 2:54SPEAKER_01: This will be uh um some of the best entertainment is when you get to see someone mess up in front of everybody.
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: Well, that's the thing about me.
- 3:05SPEAKER_01: I don't mind looking like a like a goof in front of folks.
- 3:11SPEAKER_01: But from selfies to standout, how Google Nano Banana elevates everyday images into business assets.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: And that that's the thing, you know, the folks that are watching this, they're leaders, they're business owners, they're they're marketing directors, and they want they want to like get something done fast without having to wait several weeks to get um an image, and so you know, there's a pain in the professional photos.
- 3:39SPEAKER_01: If you've gone and done that headshot, it's like wouldn't you like to go back, get it done, get 10 more versions until you find one that you're happy with.
- 3:49SPEAKER_01: But oftentimes you're just stuck with what you have, and so Google uh came out with this uh uh version of Nano Banana in the Google Gemini, and this is free in most cases uh to folks, but we the version we're using today is a Google Workspace professional version, but you just need a simple low-quality phone photo, is all you need, and then the AI understands the context of your image, and it's and it's really cool what it can do.
- 4:19SPEAKER_01: It's really the only limitation is your creative creativity.
- 4:23SPEAKER_01: So we're gonna we're gonna do that.
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: So today we're gonna take a uh any reasonable accurate photo of me, and we're gonna use some um suggested prompts from Chat GPT, and then we're gonna play around with them and and show you what I'm talking about.
- 4:42SPEAKER_01: So the first image we're going to look at.
- 4:47SPEAKER_01: All right, let's I gotta share correctly here.
- 4:51SPEAKER_01: So hang on.
- 4:55SPEAKER_01: There we go.
- 4:56SPEAKER_01: I'm back.
- 4:56SPEAKER_01: Gonna share the screen.
- 4:59SPEAKER_01: Then we're gonna pick a window.
- 5:03SPEAKER_01: Yes, here we go.
- 5:04SPEAKER_01: I think this is it.
- 5:05SPEAKER_01: All right, so this is this let's just look at this photo.
- 5:10SPEAKER_01: It's in just a selfie taken in a situation of awful lighting, it's not the best.
- 5:16SPEAKER_01: It's uh it is what it is, right?
- 5:19SPEAKER_01: And so what I did is uh I in in Google Gemini, when you when you start with a prompt here, you can like make your own custom figure or turn me into a superhero or whatever.
- 5:33SPEAKER_01: And so what what I did was I said, hey, make me into a uh a 3D model.
- 5:41SPEAKER_01: So here I am on on the desk.
- 5:45SPEAKER_01: It's a model of me on a desk.
- 5:48SPEAKER_01: It's an action figure.
- 5:51SPEAKER_01: So look at there in just a second.
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: We got an action figure.
- 5:55SPEAKER_01: This can be used in many cases, but it's kind of fun to do.
- 5:59SPEAKER_01: And what's interesting is it's going off the limited uh amount of um information that we gave the model.
- 6:09SPEAKER_01: We this is just my head, my jacket.
- 6:16SPEAKER_01: Sure, there's hardly any details here, and it's it comes up with an excellent model.
- 6:24SPEAKER_01: That's pretty good, huh?
- 6:26SPEAKER_01: So, how many what's a good business use case?
- 6:29SPEAKER_01: Well, in a creative situation, this can be impactful.
- 6:33SPEAKER_01: Here's the thing: all these images out there are typical profile images that people put out there, they don't create an emotional connection.
- 6:44SPEAKER_01: If you create an emotional connection, then there's an emotion that someone feels when they look at it, they giggle or think, oh, that's cool, they remember it.
- 6:53SPEAKER_01: And that's the power, the persuasive leverage of the power of these models.
- 7:00SPEAKER_01: If you can just be a little creative and come play with them, right?
- 7:03SPEAKER_01: So, today here's what we're gonna do.
- 7:06SPEAKER_01: So I've got I've got that same image in this case, and well, what you do is you go and you ask, um, yes, ChatGPT, hey, give me 10 great prompts for variations of my profile picture for Google Nano Banana.
- 7:22SPEAKER_01: And so the first one it says uh futuristic glow up, a cyberpunk portrait of me lit by neon blue, pink lights, wearing sleek glasses with a soft tech glow aura.
- 7:35SPEAKER_01: So let's just put it in here and let's see what it does.
- 7:41SPEAKER_01: And it's amazing the uh processing power that's going on in the background.
- 7:48SPEAKER_01: That this is images, and but it's fast, it's crazy.
- 7:55SPEAKER_01: And so here's a here's the uh image that it created for me uh with just that prompt and this picture.
- 8:08SPEAKER_01: Now, one thing I didn't do, I didn't put the uh create images on here, but yet it still excelled.
- 8:16SPEAKER_01: It assumed it assumed that's what I want.
- 8:19SPEAKER_01: So that's um a creative way for a social media post or any anything that you might want to do.
- 8:29SPEAKER_01: So let's do another one here.
- 8:31SPEAKER_01: Minil minimalistic black and white.
- 8:34SPEAKER_01: That's easy for you to say, Steve.
- 8:36SPEAKER_01: So let's go back here, let's put it in here.
- 8:39SPEAKER_01: It's gonna go off that.
- 8:41SPEAKER_01: Uh let's put that same image right there that we were using.
- 8:46SPEAKER_01: Let's use that same image, okay.
- 8:50SPEAKER_01: And it's using the nano banana image generator.
- 8:56SPEAKER_01: But you see how fast that was here.
- 9:00SPEAKER_01: We go, classic black and white headshot for you.
- 9:04SPEAKER_01: Not bad, huh?
- 9:05SPEAKER_01: Not bad.
- 9:08SPEAKER_01: And it doesn't, you're not giving it much to go on.
- 9:12SPEAKER_01: Is it and this is just from a really um um just a low quality selfie.
- 9:21SPEAKER_01: So this next one, let's let's go to comic hero.
- 9:27SPEAKER_01: I'm not gonna do all of these, but I found I found that there's so many use cases.
- 9:35SPEAKER_01: Um that creative use cases.
- 9:40SPEAKER_01: Uh you know, as a marketing director, you you know, you're usually strangled by uh limitations of time, limitations of uh uh of good quality stuff to work with, and by being able to exploit these tools, all of a sudden you're you're you know, it's all of that weight that you haven't it's released.
- 10:09SPEAKER_01: Now you can be creative and do do so many great things and get into that area of creativity instead of just doing tasks and try to do the best you can with limited time, limited input.
- 10:23SPEAKER_01: You know, you ask for, hey, we need to get profile pictures of everybody on our website, and then you schedule time to get photos done, people don't show up, or they they had a bad day, or that I don't know, they put it in the wrong place, bad lighting, and you got to go with what you got to go with, or you you got it right, but it was really expensive, and again, it took several weeks.
- 10:49SPEAKER_01: But imagine having um uh a Rembrandt of your founders that you can play around with.
- 10:56SPEAKER_01: This creates an emotion, it's kind of funny, it makes people stop and look and dig in, and you're at you're getting their attention.
- 11:04SPEAKER_01: You're the most valuable thing you can do is get someone to turn the brain off, stop thinking about all the other items, and um lean in and listen to what you're doing, right?
- 11:16SPEAKER_01: And so, this is a way to create a hook, a visual hook to get someone's attention in just a second.
- 11:26SPEAKER_01: So one more of this and we'll move on.
- 11:29SPEAKER_01: But I just find this um how many times do you wish that your website you need you want to refresh it, or maybe you want to send a leave, have a leave behind?
- 11:41SPEAKER_01: Um, you know, there's all these all these ways of being unique and memorable, and um this just allows you to do it.
- 11:53SPEAKER_01: And I didn't have to be too uh creative, I just I just needed to know, hey, what if I asked this question to this model?
- 12:03SPEAKER_01: And now let's go in here.
- 12:05SPEAKER_01: So we got we got a picture of me with a hat, and we're gonna we're gonna these were kind of being more creative or out there or something different.
- 12:16SPEAKER_01: And now we're gonna come over here.
- 12:18SPEAKER_01: So these prompts are give me uh Tim Moore image prompts ideas for my portrait use case.
- 12:24SPEAKER_01: So um we're gonna do like a professional portrait as I'm on stage delivering a keynote.
- 12:31SPEAKER_01: So we'll put this in here, and let's just we gave it this um again, this a poor quality image, but it's me in a hat, and let's let's see what I look like on stage delivering a keynote and with a blurred audience in the background.
- 12:58SPEAKER_01: So so like no, that's not gonna do.
- 13:01SPEAKER_01: So um now let's uh address me appropri appropriate uh Lee for the stage, right?
- 13:17SPEAKER_01: So I don't even need to know to spell that.
- 13:20SPEAKER_01: So now I'm gonna go, no, change change how I look on stage.
- 13:25SPEAKER_01: That's too casual.
- 13:26SPEAKER_01: So let's let's give me more appropriate for the stage.
- 13:30SPEAKER_01: I don't know what that's mean.
- 13:31SPEAKER_01: There you go.
- 13:32SPEAKER_01: All right, now changed my shirt, gave my very good, very good.
- 13:37SPEAKER_01: So let's um let's um all right make it to where it looks like I'm making an important um point in my keynote.
- 14:02SPEAKER_01: So now we got we got me an appropriate attire.
- 14:08SPEAKER_01: But instead of just standing there and looking into space, now I'm gonna have it and so there's one point, the most important point of this.
- 14:18SPEAKER_01: See how it do you can just be creative and get get these images to represent you in the perfect way.
- 14:28SPEAKER_01: All right, uh, so now uh let's let's put me um uh yeah being interviewed on stage.
- 14:45SPEAKER_01: I want to make sure we're using banana banana um with the MC.
- 14:56SPEAKER_01: All right, so let's see what uh what happens here.
- 15:02SPEAKER_01: Let's go.
- 15:02SPEAKER_01: Let's just see what happens with this.
- 15:06SPEAKER_01: So now I want me being interviewed.
- 15:09SPEAKER_01: What does it look like with me being interviewed on a stage with an MC?
- 15:14SPEAKER_01: Far side chat.
- 15:17SPEAKER_01: So that's that's really good.
- 15:23SPEAKER_01: Um then you can iterate, you know, put me in a tie, have have it be a man, what whatever you you wanted to do, change the have it be beers, whatever you want.
- 15:36SPEAKER_01: You can see the creative uh options that you have that you didn't have before.
- 15:42SPEAKER_01: And so um this little tool in here, we're using Jim and I.
- 15:48SPEAKER_01: We're just putting in a simple prompts.
- 15:51SPEAKER_01: We gave it a uh just a an image off our phone, and look what we're getting.
- 15:56SPEAKER_01: We're getting things that are really important.
- 15:58SPEAKER_01: This is great for social media, it conveys a certain um just a certain energy, and imagine all the things that you could do.
- 16:10SPEAKER_01: So what uh one more on here.
- 16:13SPEAKER_01: So I had it um, so now we're what I used was uh uh Gemini VO.
- 16:23SPEAKER_01: So I just wanted I said uh here, have me grooving to music.
- 16:27SPEAKER_01: This is a stupid that same image so and so it it can change you and just put you so now I wanted my character to groove to the uh music, and so let's look at it here, isn't that cool?
- 16:56SPEAKER_01: You can be so creative using uh these things, and just if you just have a spark of an idea, you can ask the LLM to be creative for you.
- 17:08SPEAKER_01: These prompts, I didn't have to come up with these prompts, it came up with these prompts, right?
- 17:14SPEAKER_01: And so to have have all of these creative ways to um get the model to make all these different versions in just minutes, minutes in preparation for this this uh live stream.
- 17:29SPEAKER_01: This here, you watched me doing it live here, but again, I wanted these prompts to be a little more business use, professional college, creative edge, and it just it just allows you to be of to have all the versions, all the options, so that you can make an impact, move people emotionally, get their attention, and pull them into your world.
- 17:58SPEAKER_01: And so what do I do?
- 18:01SPEAKER_01: I work with folks, I help them take advantage of these, we teach them how to use AI, we help companies adopt AI, I help leaders create custom GPTs, and we teach you how to start uh using these tools to be more impactful, better about leading, to be impactful, and so you can go to roionline.com, check out what we do, schedule a strategy session.
