- 4:34Speaker 2: And today we are in the Book of Acts. We're
- 4:37Speaker 2: actually gonna close out chapter twenty two. This is a
- 4:42Speaker 2: powerful portion of scripture. This is one of the most
- 4:45Speaker 2: powerful testimonies you're gonna hear from Paul the apostle Paul
- 4:51Speaker 2: is in the midst of it. Paul went to Jerusalem,
- 4:54Speaker 2: and he was warned time and time again that chains
- 4:59Speaker 2: are away get him there, that he was going to
- 5:01Speaker 2: be bound. And so our last episode we saw the
- 5:04Speaker 2: prophecy fulfilled. Paul is now bound in chains. He was
- 5:10Speaker 2: mobbed by an angry horde, right, an angry mob of
- 5:16Speaker 2: Jews wanted to kill him. Now these are the Jews
- 5:20Speaker 2: that he escaped early earlier with his life. They chased
- 5:25Speaker 2: him in Asia and now back here in Jerusalem. Paul
- 5:30Speaker 2: wanted to fulfill some of the traditions, and he wanted
- 5:35Speaker 2: to bring peace. He wanted to bring unity. Paul always
- 5:39Speaker 2: had a heart for his Jewish people, even though he
- 5:42Speaker 2: was sent to the Gentiles. But Paul had a heart
- 5:45Speaker 2: for all people. And we also should have a heart
- 5:49Speaker 2: for all people. Amen. And so we see now Paul
- 5:53Speaker 2: is rescued by the Romans and they're leading them off
- 5:59Speaker 2: to the Derecks. God protected Paul because Paul still had
- 6:04Speaker 2: more to do. Paul had to go and testify in Rome. Now,
- 6:09Speaker 2: my opinion, you can do your own study, was that
- 6:13Speaker 2: it was God's will all the time to take them
- 6:16Speaker 2: to Rome, and maybe Paul took it upon himself to
- 6:23Speaker 2: go to Jerusalem. I don't know. I haven't really read
- 6:27Speaker 2: it or I haven't seen it in scripture where Paul
- 6:31Speaker 2: was instructed to go to Jerusalem to keep these feasts
- 6:37Speaker 2: in these different traditions. But Paul has such a heart
- 6:41Speaker 2: he wanted to go to Jerusalem and testify. And we
- 6:45Speaker 2: see the events that unfold. Like I say, that's my opinion.
- 6:49Speaker 2: I could be wrong. If I am. You can post
- 6:53Speaker 2: in a life chat where is a scripture right here
- 6:57Speaker 2: in this portion of his story where he was instructed
- 7:01Speaker 2: by God to go to Jerusalem. Show me where that
- 7:04Speaker 2: scriptures at, and I will stand corrected. But I think
- 7:08Speaker 2: God's will was for him to go to Rome. All right,
- 7:13Speaker 2: So let's pray help me. Father. We thank you, Oh God,
- 7:17Speaker 2: for your word. We thank you for this time and
- 7:20Speaker 2: opportunity to get into your word together. Thank you Lord
- 7:23Speaker 2: that we woke up, that we get to see another
- 7:27Speaker 2: sun rise in sunset, Oh God. And Lord, we ask
- 7:31Speaker 2: o God, Oh Lord, before we lay our head on
- 7:33Speaker 2: the pillow tonight, God, that we will get right with
- 7:35Speaker 2: you God, that our goal, our passion, and our desires
- 7:39Speaker 2: will change. Our desire will not be for this world
- 7:43Speaker 2: not to pursue after riches, not our careers. Not everything
- 7:49Speaker 2: in this world is temporary and passing away. Oh God,
- 7:53Speaker 2: Let our desires be to have a deeper relationship with you. God. Yes, Lord,
- 8:02Speaker 2: let that be our goal, to be right with you,
- 8:04Speaker 2: Oh God. If there's anything in us that is not
- 8:07Speaker 2: like you, take it out, Lord the Holy Spirit, we
- 8:09Speaker 2: give you the permission to do so in Jesus' name. Amen.
- 8:16Speaker 2: All right, we're picking it up in verse thirty seven,
- 8:21Speaker 2: where Paul is going to address his mom. Then, as
- 8:25Speaker 2: Paul was about to lead, was excuse me. Then, as
- 8:30Speaker 2: Paul was about to be led into the barracks, he
- 8:34Speaker 2: said to the commander, may I speak by the way
- 8:36Speaker 2: I'm coming at you from the new King James, He replied,
- 8:42Speaker 2: can you speak Greek? Now? This is Paul's ability to
- 8:47Speaker 2: connect with the Greeks and to connect with the Jews.
- 8:51Speaker 2: Paul was multi lingual, and so Paul had the ability
- 8:57Speaker 2: to minister internationally. Remember he's the apostle to the Gentiles,
- 9:06Speaker 2: and so the commander was surprised that he spoke Greek
- 9:10Speaker 2: and Paul was able to relate to him. Verse thirty seven,
- 9:14Speaker 2: Are you not the Egyptian who some time ago stirred
- 9:18Speaker 2: up a rebellion and led the four thousand assassins out
- 9:23Speaker 2: into the wilderness. So this commander is trying to understand
- 9:30Speaker 2: this situation, trying to figure it out. That reminds us
- 9:33Speaker 2: of ponscious pilot right. He was like, what has this
- 9:37Speaker 2: man done? Like why are the people reacting this way?
- 9:43Speaker 2: So this also gives a bit of history that other
- 9:46Speaker 2: people rose up throughout history trying to become the Messiah.
- 9:53Speaker 2: There were false messiahs, and the Jesus warned that there
- 9:56Speaker 2: will be many christ that will rise up today deceiving people.
- 10:00Speaker 2: How many remember David koresh Right in that situation. So
- 10:06Speaker 2: this is nothing new. This has happened before thirty nine.
- 10:10Speaker 2: But Paul said, I am a Jew from Tartarus in Cilicia,
- 10:17Speaker 2: a citizen of no mean city, and I implore you
- 10:23Speaker 2: permit me to speak to the people. So here's Paul.
- 10:28Speaker 2: He gives his citizenship. Like I said, Paul was very
- 10:33Speaker 2: culturally intact and in touch. Paul was able to minister
- 10:38Speaker 2: to anybody in the ancient world, Amen, verse forty. So
- 10:43Speaker 2: when he had given him permission, Paul stood on the
- 10:48Speaker 2: stairs in motioned with his hand and the people to
- 10:54Speaker 2: the people, and when there was a great silence, he
- 10:58Speaker 2: spoke to them and Hebrew in the Hebrew language. Now
- 11:03Speaker 2: he begins to speak in Hebrew, which is his native language,
- 11:07Speaker 2: and the commander was not able to understand his speech
- 11:12Speaker 2: at this time, but Paul was very He's a leader, right,
- 11:18Speaker 2: he is speaking to a mob that just tried to
- 11:22Speaker 2: kill him, and he was able to silence them. And
- 11:27Speaker 2: so at this point he has their attention and he's
- 11:33Speaker 2: able to connect to them because he's speaking their language. Loved,
- 11:37Speaker 2: we need to be able to connect to our community.
- 11:40Speaker 2: We need to ask a Holy Spirit to put their
- 11:45Speaker 2: language in our mouth. We need to listen intently because
- 11:50Speaker 2: when we go out to minister pass out tracks, or
- 11:55Speaker 2: to witness for Christ, or to invite people to our events,
- 11:59Speaker 2: to minister the peeceeople, we need to be able to
- 12:02Speaker 2: connect with them right where there are. And the Holy
- 12:04Speaker 2: Spirit will let us know if we take time to listen.
- 12:08Speaker 2: When people begin to speak, listen to their heart, and
- 12:12Speaker 2: what you're looking for is where have they been hurt?
- 12:16Speaker 2: They're going to come from their hurt. Remember that the
- 12:22Speaker 2: human race was perfect until we fell in the garden
- 12:27Speaker 2: and when we fell. That's when human hurt came into existence.
- 12:32Speaker 2: Remember he said, through pain and sorrow the woman will
- 12:36Speaker 2: bear children, and by the sweat of a brow the
- 12:41Speaker 2: man will eat bread. This is pain entering into the
- 12:45Speaker 2: human race. And a lot of people get caught on drugs,
- 12:49Speaker 2: they get caught up with alcohol, they get caught up
- 12:52Speaker 2: in violence, they get caught up in these situations because
- 12:56Speaker 2: of their pain. They don't know what to do with it.
- 13:00Speaker 2: That gives saying the opportunity to set up stronghold. That's
- 13:03Speaker 2: why God always say to forgive right. You got to
- 13:07Speaker 2: speak and minister to their pain. They will let you
- 13:10Speaker 2: know what it is just by them speaking to you.
- 13:15Speaker 2: They don't know what it is. I mean, well, of
- 13:18Speaker 2: course they'll know what's hurting them, and you know, they'll
- 13:21Speaker 2: try to numb it. They'll try to escape reality because
- 13:24Speaker 2: of pain. But God gives us the courage to face
- 13:27Speaker 2: our pain and to heal us through Christ. Jesus say, man,
- 13:32Speaker 2: that is our message.
- 13:33Speaker 1: And so.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Paul addresses them in verse twenty two. So we just
- 13:39Speaker 2: closed out another chapter. Hallelujah. We celebrate every chapter. We're
- 13:45Speaker 2: coming to the end of the Book of Acts. This
- 13:48Speaker 2: is amazing I'm excited to see where the Holy Spirit
- 13:52Speaker 2: will lead us next to our next book. If you
- 13:55Speaker 2: go through our archives, we've already been through Revelation. We've
- 13:58Speaker 2: been through a couple of books already, and we're making
- 14:02Speaker 2: our journey through the Book of Acts together. So chapter
- 14:07Speaker 2: twenty two says, brethren and fathers, hear my defense before
- 14:13Speaker 2: you now, So now Paul gets a chance to speak.
- 14:18Speaker 2: It is very frustrating when people make assumptions, when people
- 14:21Speaker 2: will not take time out to listen to you, and
- 14:25Speaker 2: when people just come up with their own conclusions, right
- 14:31Speaker 2: like this mob did. They came up with assumptions that
- 14:34Speaker 2: he brought a gentile into the temple. They were saying
- 14:37Speaker 2: that he was preaching against the people and the nation.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Their whole issue is the fact that he ministered to
- 14:44Speaker 2: the gentiles, and they thought that he was speaking against
- 14:48Speaker 2: the law of Moses. But if they listen, if they
- 14:50Speaker 2: took time out to get the facts and get the information.
- 14:54Speaker 2: I talk to my wife all the time, and when
- 14:57Speaker 2: we have discussions, she wants the facts. She's very analytical.
- 15:02Speaker 2: Sometimes I call her a lawyer. I'm like, you're so
- 15:05Speaker 2: passionate about the facts, Like you don't listen to the
- 15:07Speaker 2: heart of the matter, like I'm bleeding over here, but
- 15:10Speaker 2: you want all the facts anyway, that's an inside joke,
- 15:15Speaker 2: but it's good to get that right. Sometimes she tells me,
- 15:19Speaker 2: stop being so emotional, and let's get down to the facts.
- 15:23Speaker 2: And so here is a good example of getting the
- 15:28Speaker 2: facts out of a situation and not just assume. And
- 15:32Speaker 2: I like the fact that he addressed them respectfully. He
- 15:35Speaker 2: didn't lash out or out of frustration. He didn't yell
- 15:39Speaker 2: at him. Oh you slow to believe you stiff neck
- 15:43Speaker 2: Jewish people. You know you tried to kill me and
- 15:46Speaker 2: all you know, he didn't come at him, right, He
- 15:49Speaker 2: still addressed him respectfully. How many of us could be
- 15:52Speaker 2: able to do that? How can you, after you get
- 15:54Speaker 2: into a fight with somebody still speak to them in
- 15:59Speaker 2: a respectful manner after you got into that fight, all right?
- 16:04Speaker 2: Usually fights starts because of disrespect. But anyway, I'm going
- 16:08Speaker 2: down a rabbit trail. Let's get to the scripture. Brotherren
- 16:11Speaker 2: and fathers hear my defense before you, And when they
- 16:16Speaker 2: heard that he spoke to them in Hebrew language, they
- 16:20Speaker 2: kept all the more silent and man like I said,
- 16:25Speaker 2: Paul had the ability to connect with people. Then he said,
- 16:31Speaker 2: I am indeed a Jew born in Tarsus of Cilicia,
- 16:36Speaker 2: but bought up in the city at the feet of Gamel,
- 16:42Speaker 2: taught according to the strictest of the Father's law, and
- 16:47Speaker 2: it was zealous towards God, as you all are today.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Now gimel yell if I'm pronouncing his zame right, was famous,
- 16:57Speaker 2: and he was known as a great teacher. And if
- 17:00Speaker 2: you look him up, he has writings, ancient writings in
- 17:04Speaker 2: history during his time, during this time of things happening
- 17:08Speaker 2: in Jerusalem. And his only complaint they said about Paul
- 17:12Speaker 2: was he did not have enough books to feed him.
- 17:15Speaker 2: Paul was hungry for knowledge. Paul was hungry, and this
- 17:19Speaker 2: was before he got saved. He was zealous for God.
- 17:23Speaker 2: So Paul was very exceptional. He was at the top
- 17:26Speaker 2: of his class. And man, I pray that we will
- 17:29Speaker 2: have that same hunger Amen for God's word. Right, that
- 17:32Speaker 2: seems zeal and he can relate and he's connecting with
- 17:36Speaker 2: the people right here verse four, I persecuted this way
- 17:41Speaker 2: to the death. Now, referring to this way is what
- 17:45Speaker 2: they referred it to before they called it Christianity. Christian
- 17:51Speaker 2: is actually a derogatory term that was given to them
- 17:56Speaker 2: by the Romans, but they called it this way. And
- 18:00Speaker 2: so Paul is being honest about his past. He's being transparent.
- 18:05Speaker 2: And if you heard my last episode, I was very
- 18:08Speaker 2: transparent as well about my ministry and the things that
- 18:13Speaker 2: you know, I'm not so proud of, you know as well.
- 18:16Speaker 2: So Paul wasn't so proud of this fact. But he's
- 18:19Speaker 2: saying I persecuted his way, binding and delivering into prison
- 18:24Speaker 2: both men and women, as also the High priest bears
- 18:30Speaker 2: me witness, and all the counsel of elders from whom
- 18:34Speaker 2: I also received letters to the brethren and went to
- 18:38Speaker 2: Damastics to bring in chains, even those who were in
- 18:42Speaker 2: Jerusalem to be punished. So Paul can relate. Paul was
- 18:48Speaker 2: in their shoes. Paul was in their positions, as you
- 18:53Speaker 2: can remember. Paul was there when Stephan, the first martyr
- 18:57Speaker 2: of the New Testament Church, was killed. Paul gave his permission,
- 19:04Speaker 2: and they laid their coats at his feet Verse six.
- 19:10Speaker 2: Now it happened as I journeyed and came near Damascus
- 19:15Speaker 2: at about noon. Suddenly a great light from heaven shone
- 19:20Speaker 2: around me, and I fell to the ground. And heard
- 19:24Speaker 2: a voice saying to me, Saul, saw, why are you
- 19:27Speaker 2: persecuting me? So I answered, why, who are you? Lord?
- 19:33Speaker 2: And he said to me, I am Jesus of Nazareth,
- 19:36Speaker 2: whom you are persecuting. Now notice that Jesus takes persecution personally.
- 19:44Speaker 2: Now be careful, beloved, how we entreat one another. If
- 19:49Speaker 2: you disrespect a brother, you are disrespecting the Lord. If
- 19:55Speaker 2: we choose to be angry and frustrated, and we choose
- 20:00Speaker 2: to yell and call people stupid or out there, name
- 20:06Speaker 2: or fight, and that's all we do and act out
- 20:10Speaker 2: in this way. First of all, so the flesh. And secondly,
- 20:15Speaker 2: Jesus takes it personal, especially in marriage, because you married
- 20:21Speaker 2: his daughter, you married his son. Jesus takes it personal.
- 20:28Speaker 2: Read about who we are in the Bible and who
- 20:32Speaker 2: God calls us. He calls us his bride, He calls
- 20:36Speaker 2: us the apple of his eye. He calls us peculiar treasure.
- 20:43Speaker 2: We are a treasure to him. He died on the cross,
- 20:47Speaker 2: and he paid the price to redeem your wife, or
- 20:50Speaker 2: your husband, or even your children. So we have to
- 20:55Speaker 2: give an account, even our brothers and sisters, and the Lord,
- 20:59Speaker 2: and even sinners. The Bible says, if you don't warn
- 21:02Speaker 2: the sinners of their wickedness, their blood is on your hands.
- 21:07Speaker 2: Lord loves us, and that's why he wants us to
- 21:12Speaker 2: love our neighbor as ourself. Amen. And so Saul was
- 21:18Speaker 2: persecuting Jesus himself and didn't even know it, and God
- 21:23Speaker 2: stops him in his tracks verse nine. And those who
- 21:27Speaker 2: were with me indeed saw the light and were afraid,
- 21:32Speaker 2: but they did not hear the voice of him who
- 21:34Speaker 2: spoke to me. So I said, what shall I do? Lord?
- 21:38Speaker 2: And the Lord said to me, arise and go to Damascus.
- 21:42Speaker 2: Go into Damascus. There you will be told all things
- 21:47Speaker 2: which are appointed for you to do. Hallelujah. So this
- 21:55Speaker 2: is Paul's conversion. We call it the road conversion of
- 22:03Speaker 2: Paul the Apostle. He was stopped in his tracks, so
- 22:07Speaker 2: he was able to connect and relate with the people,
- 22:10Speaker 2: understand where they're coming from. But now he shares his
- 22:15Speaker 2: personal testimony. And I want to say something about that.
- 22:20Speaker 2: We are not necessarily called to debate, even though there
- 22:25Speaker 2: is a ministry called apologetics where a lot of Christians
- 22:30Speaker 2: are out there debating the word of God. And I'm
- 22:34Speaker 2: not saying that there's anything wrong with that. But we
- 22:38Speaker 2: are instructed in the Book of Romans to avoid genealogies
- 22:42Speaker 2: and pointless debates that are unfruitful to the hearer. Now,
- 22:50Speaker 2: there are times when we will be out ministrying and
- 22:55Speaker 2: people want to debate us. They want to debunk the gospel.
- 23:00Speaker 2: How many times have you heard that, oh, this is
- 23:02Speaker 2: a man made book and you can't trust this book,
- 23:06Speaker 2: and there's contradictions, even though they can't show you. This
- 23:10Speaker 2: is what they say against us. But no one can
- 23:15Speaker 2: argue against your personal testimony. They were not there. They
- 23:20Speaker 2: cannot debunk, they cannot be baked. They cannot deny your
- 23:26Speaker 2: personal testimony, especially if you've allowed the Holy Spirit to
- 23:31Speaker 2: change your life. If you were out there just like Paul,
- 23:36Speaker 2: this is a miraculous change. He was out there persecuting,
- 23:40Speaker 2: arresting and punishing our brothers and sisters, and the Lord
- 23:46Speaker 2: to the now preaching the gospel and starting churches. That
- 23:49Speaker 2: is a miraculous change. Only God could have changed a heart,
- 23:54Speaker 2: changed a life. Only God could have done this. So
- 23:56Speaker 2: what is your testimony? Was that I was a womanizer,
- 24:00Speaker 2: I was addicted to porn. Now I'm faithful to my
- 24:05Speaker 2: wife and I'm living a life of holiness.
- 24:08Speaker 1: Is it?
- 24:09Speaker 2: I was an alcoholic or a drug addict, but now
- 24:12Speaker 2: I'm sober and I'm raising my family. I'm using that
- 24:15Speaker 2: money to take care of my family instead of the drugs.
- 24:19Speaker 2: You know, what is your testimony? They cannot fight against that,
- 24:24Speaker 2: and Paul is just giving him his testimony. And man,
- 24:31Speaker 2: and where we're at, those who are with me? Indeed,
- 24:37Speaker 2: and since I could not see the glory that light
- 24:41Speaker 2: being led, okay, and those who were with me and
- 24:46Speaker 2: he saw the light and were afraid, but they did
- 24:49Speaker 2: not hear the voice of him who spoke to me.
- 24:52Speaker 2: So I said, what shall I do? Lord? And the
- 24:54Speaker 2: Lord said, arise, go to Damascus, and there you will
- 24:58Speaker 2: be told. I read this already on be done. And
- 25:01Speaker 2: since I could not see for the glory that of
- 25:05Speaker 2: that light being led by the hand of those who
- 25:09Speaker 2: were with me, I came to Damascus. Now that's his testimony,
- 25:14Speaker 2: and it's certain and a naias that devout men according
- 25:18Speaker 2: to the law, having a good testimony with all the
- 25:22Speaker 2: Jews who dwelt there, came to me and stood and
- 25:28Speaker 2: said to me, brother, saw receive your sight. And at
- 25:32Speaker 2: that same hour I looked up to him at him.
- 25:37Speaker 2: Then he said, God of our fathers, has chosen you
- 25:42Speaker 2: that you should know his will. Amen. Now that's important.
- 25:49Speaker 2: To know his will. We need to pray that every day,
- 25:52Speaker 2: like God, show us your will. Amen. And to see
- 25:58Speaker 2: the just one and to hear the voice of his mouth,
- 26:03Speaker 2: Now that is powerful. He was able to know his will,
- 26:06Speaker 2: to see the just one, and to hear the voice
- 26:10Speaker 2: from his very mouth. For you will be a witness
- 26:14Speaker 2: to all men of what you have seen and heard. Now,
- 26:19Speaker 2: Paul is called to be a witness, and so are we.
- 26:24Speaker 2: We are called to be a witness of what we've
- 26:26Speaker 2: seen and what we've heard. Amen. The question is what
- 26:30Speaker 2: have you seen and heard? Has God shown himself to you?
- 26:35Speaker 2: Has God spoken to you? Can you be a witness
- 26:39Speaker 2: of what God is saying and doing in your life? Amen?
- 26:43Speaker 2: Verse sixteen. And now they are waiting, arise and be baptized,
- 26:49Speaker 2: and wash your sins, calling on the name of the Lord, hallelujah.
- 26:55Speaker 2: So this is his conversion, his testimony. Now verse seventeen,
- 27:03Speaker 2: we're gonna see a turning point right here. Now, it
- 27:09Speaker 2: happened when I received excuse me, now, it happened when
- 27:13Speaker 2: I returned to Jerusalem and was praying in the temple
- 27:18Speaker 2: that I was in a trance and saw him saying,
- 27:22Speaker 2: to me, make haste and get out of Jerusalem quickly,
- 27:27Speaker 2: for they will not receive your testimony concerning me. So Amen.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Even though they could not refuse or debate or debunk
- 27:38Speaker 2: his testimony, people can reject your testimony. People have the
- 27:44Speaker 2: choice to either receive it or to accept it. Amen,
- 27:51Speaker 2: And they chose not to receive it. In Holy Spirit
- 27:55Speaker 2: gave him warning told him to leave quickly Jerusalem. Now
- 28:02Speaker 2: I find that interesting because we know that the Mother
- 28:05Speaker 2: Church is still there. Paul went to go visit the
- 28:09Speaker 2: leaders in James, the brother of Jesus, who is the
- 28:13Speaker 2: pastor of the Church of Jerusalem. So there is still
- 28:17Speaker 2: the presence of the Church of the Gospel there, but
- 28:21Speaker 2: they specifically will not receive Paul's testimony, so he had
- 28:26Speaker 2: to go. And this shows you that God intended the
- 28:30Speaker 2: whole time to send him to the gentiles Verse nineteen.
- 28:34Speaker 2: So I said, Lord, they know that in every synagogue
- 28:39Speaker 2: I am prison and beat those who believed in you.
- 28:43Speaker 2: And when the blood of your martyr Stephanie was shed,
- 28:46Speaker 2: I also was standing by consenting to his death. Now
- 28:52Speaker 2: Paul says with his own mouth right here that he
- 28:57Speaker 2: stood by consenting to the death of Stephen. That probably
- 29:02Speaker 2: stood out in his heart and mind, and man, Paul,
- 29:06Speaker 2: probably when he went to heaven, he probably had a
- 29:10Speaker 2: great union with Stephen on that day when he went home. Amen.
- 29:16Speaker 2: But that made an impact on his life even to
- 29:19Speaker 2: this day. Here he brings it up. I was consenting
- 29:23Speaker 2: to his death and guarding the clothes of those who
- 29:26Speaker 2: were killing him. Then he said to me apart, for
- 29:32Speaker 2: I will send you far from here to the Gentiles.
- 29:38Speaker 2: A man, it was God's heart and God's will for
- 29:43Speaker 2: him to get out of Jerusalem, go far from that
- 29:47Speaker 2: place and go to the Gentiles. But for some reason,
- 29:51Speaker 2: Paul was determined to come to Jerusalem, where he knew
- 29:56Speaker 2: that he would be bound. And Paul wanted to his
- 30:00Speaker 2: story with his brethren. After he had a whole experience
- 30:06Speaker 2: of fleeing for his life from through Asia and all
- 30:09Speaker 2: these other areas, and then now he comes to where
- 30:13Speaker 2: they're all at, and he has such a heart and
- 30:16Speaker 2: such a love for his kinsmen that he wanted to
- 30:21Speaker 2: share the gospel. Amen. He wanted to share the truth,
- 30:27Speaker 2: and he was even willing to lay down his life. Amen,
- 30:35Speaker 2: and he's sharing that he guarded the clothes of those
- 30:38Speaker 2: who murdered Stephan, so he understands. He understands where they're
- 30:44Speaker 2: coming from and he can relate. But this is a
- 30:49Speaker 2: huge turning point when he says gentile. That was a
- 30:52Speaker 2: key word. And we're gonna see in the next episode
- 30:55Speaker 2: how the crowd just goes mad after he mentions this.
- 31:00Speaker 2: And we're gonna continue this story then, but right now
- 31:04Speaker 2: we're gonna take a break.
- 31:07Speaker 4: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 31:11Speaker 4: is the hiss hop radio show.

- 35:53Speaker 2: encourage one another, where we pray for one another and
- 35:57Speaker 2: strengthen each other in our walk. And so as we
- 36:01Speaker 2: hear a powerful testimony from Paul, the challenge today is
- 36:06Speaker 2: ask your partner, am I bold enough to share my testimony?
- 36:11Speaker 2: And man, and the challenge is to tell your story
- 36:14Speaker 2: this week. Tell your testimony. Your testimony has power. As
- 36:19Speaker 2: a matter of fact, our podcast on the video side,

- 36:58Speaker 2: definitely Corinth, I'm gonna get you on their Zone three.

- 38:20Speaker 2: and yes, yesterday's winner was, of course none other than
- 38:26Speaker 2: Zone three. Now shout out to a brother print because
- 38:31Speaker 2: he gave some competition in there. And so let me see,
- 38:38Speaker 2: let me look it up in the live chat. The
- 38:41Speaker 2: question is what calls the accusation against Paul? Right? They
- 38:47Speaker 2: were the Jews were upset and they accused Paul. And
- 38:51Speaker 2: the questions where was it evidence? Was the evidence they
- 38:56Speaker 2: presented or was it a vision? Was it assumption? Or
- 39:00Speaker 2: was it a prophecy a man? And so let me see,
- 39:13Speaker 2: Oh well, actually all right, Zone three said, the way
- 39:17Speaker 2: you gave that, I guess I kind of gave the
- 39:18Speaker 2: answer by the way I did yesterday, so I'm not
- 39:22Speaker 2: gonna give the answer today. Well, Zone three said, assumptions
- 39:26Speaker 2: is what calls him to persecute? And then what did
- 39:34Speaker 2: Krent said? The church should have sang? Okay, I thought okay,
- 39:44Speaker 2: and for some reason I can't find it. But I'm
- 39:46Speaker 2: just searching through the life chat all right, So zone
- 39:50Speaker 2: got it. He's the trivia champ from yesterday. Let's see
- 39:53Speaker 2: he was the trivia champ today. The question is what
- 39:56Speaker 2: linguage did Paul speak to the crowd? What language did
- 40:01Speaker 2: Paul speak to the crowd? It was a Greek, Latin, Hebrew,
- 40:05Speaker 2: or Aramic. Those are the four answers you could choose
- 40:12Speaker 2: from the first one gets the bragging rights for hey,
- 40:22Speaker 2: all right, now time for our community shoutouts. May eighth

- 40:40Speaker 2: if that time frame fits you. I'm gonna reach out

- 40:52Speaker 2: keep it in prayer. If you can't make it, that
- 40:55Speaker 2: God would be glorified and that we will make a
- 40:58Speaker 2: huge impact. YEA and this O Mention is a nonprofit organization.

- 41:32Speaker 2: pour into us. We give you an opportunity to be
- 41:35Speaker 2: blessed financially because you know, the Bible tells us it's
- 41:38Speaker 2: better to give them to receive, and so we don't

- 42:27Speaker 2: used to persecute the church. Paul the Apostle is sharing
- 42:32Speaker 2: his testimony and he's connecting and he's relating to the people.
- 42:42Speaker 2: Your past qualifies your testimony. Paul went from persecutor to future.
