"His Name is John" - Readings for 6/24/26
Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Nativity of John the Baptist. In the Gospel, we read how Zechariah, who had doubted he would have a son, had his speech returned when he insisted that his son be called John. John surpassed all the prophets who came before him, and his ministry marked the beginning of the restoration of Man to the Divine Likeness. Like John, we are all called to be precussors to the coming of Christ. Sr. Ann reflects on today’s readings:
