- 0:08Speaker 1: Scandal and vice, or sugar and spice? It's naughty but
- 0:14Speaker 1: nice to be Rob. It is tea time. Harry and
- 0:40Speaker 1: Meghan have returned to a royal-style event in Britain, despite
- 0:45Speaker 1: being told by the king that they are private citizens.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Let me explain. Harry and Meghan are back doing what
- 0:52Speaker 1: they once did best. They're shaking hands, they're accepting flowers,
- 0:55Speaker 1: and they're posing for selfies and charming the cheering crowds.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Today is their first joint appearance together in the U.K.,
- 1:06Speaker 1: since they returned six weeks ago. They are in Nottingham.
- 1:09Speaker 1: I know this city very well. It's quite close to
- 1:12Speaker 1: my mum and dad. And they're recreating scenes from their
- 1:16Speaker 1: very first royal engagement together nine years ago. So nine
- 1:19Speaker 1: years ago, after they got engaged, where did they go?
- 1:22Speaker 1: They went to Nottingham. The crowds went nuts nine years ago.
- 1:27Speaker 1: It is hard to remember that there was a time
- 1:31Speaker 1: when Harry and Meghan were beloved in Britain. They were
- 1:34Speaker 1: arguably bigger stars than William and Catherine. This wedding was massive.
- 1:40Speaker 1: It didn't have to be this way that it is today.
- 1:43Speaker 1: There was a lot of love there. And along those
- 1:46Speaker 1: nine years, it all fell apart. Well, they returned to Nottingham,
- 1:49Speaker 1: which I think is a good place for them. That
- 1:51Speaker 1: was the first place that they ever attended as a
- 1:54Speaker 1: couple after they were engaged. And the crowds were there.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Not massive crowds, about 100 well-wishers, my sources tell me.
- 2:01Speaker 1: I have people there who are texting me. But they
- 2:04Speaker 1: said the crowd went nuts. They were holding bouquets. They
- 2:09Speaker 1: were kissing them. At one point, Meghan declared, it's great
- 2:13Speaker 1: to be back. Harry wrapped his arm around her. It's
- 2:16Speaker 1: very protective. One really touching moment, Mark. Meghan was reunited
- 2:21Speaker 1: with Irene Hardman, she's 90 years old, and she attended
- 2:25Speaker 1: their official Nottingham walkabout in 2017. She brought along a
- 2:32Speaker 1: framed photograph of their first meeting. Then they went on
- 2:35Speaker 1: to do charity events. Now, yesterday I reported there was
- 2:38Speaker 1: not going to be a walkabout. They were worried about crowdsides.
- 2:42Speaker 1: about booze. Today, that was changed because about 100 people
- 2:47Speaker 1: did show up. Not thousands, not a massive amount, but
- 2:51Speaker 1: it's still 100 people who waited for them. And they
- 2:54Speaker 1: were very, very happy to see them. And they did
- 2:56Speaker 1: go over. They were not going to go over. Originally,
- 2:59Speaker 1: my insiders told me they were going to go straight
- 3:01Speaker 1: into the charity events. They walked over and, Mark, they
- 3:05Speaker 1: were fantastic. So what do you think?
- 3:09Speaker 2: Well, hope is not dead for these two, it sounds like.
- 3:12Speaker 2: You know what, 100 people is 100 people, and their
- 3:14Speaker 2: support is the support. You know, I do question, was
- 3:18Speaker 2: Irene a plant? Was she called in advance to bring
- 3:22Speaker 2: her frame photograph? I'm not sure. I'm not suggesting that,
- 3:26Speaker 2: but possibly. Listen, you know, it's nice to feel loved.
- 3:30Speaker 2: It's nice to feel like you belong somewhere, and it's
- 3:33Speaker 2: nice to feel like you're welcomed. And I know it's
- 3:35Speaker 2: been a tough few years here in the U.S., And
- 3:38Speaker 2: so listen, if they're going to get cheered and people
- 3:40Speaker 2: are going to hug them, then I'm here for it.
- 3:42Speaker 1: This is the start. This is really clever planning. Whoever
- 3:45Speaker 1: put this together is a genius. And if Irene was
- 3:49Speaker 1: a plant, good for the Sussexes. I really say that.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Remember when Donald Trump came down that golden escalator? Allegedly,
- 3:56Speaker 1: a lot of people there were paid to be there
- 3:58Speaker 1: holding signs. It has to start. It has to start
- 4:01Speaker 1: with a whisper, dare I say, and then it grows.
- 4:04Speaker 1: But I do think something has changed today. Today is
- 4:07Speaker 1: a fundamental day. I had pretty much written these two
- 4:11Speaker 1: off as returning to the royal family as ever being
- 4:15Speaker 1: accepted in Britain. They did an event today that I
- 4:18Speaker 1: thought would be a disaster. I thought this was going
- 4:21Speaker 1: to be when they went to Australia. Everything was so disorganised.
- 4:25Speaker 1: It wasn't. It was really well organised and I've already
- 4:28Speaker 1: hit the phones. I want to know who did this.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Was the palace helping behind the scenes? Who helped them
- 4:33Speaker 1: pull this off? Because everything they've touched has not worked. Now,
- 4:36Speaker 1: it sounds very easy, doesn't it? To get out of
- 4:38Speaker 1: a car and walk into a charity event. That sounds easy.
- 4:42Speaker 1: You and I, Mark, have both worked red carpets. To
- 4:45Speaker 1: get a celebrity out of a car and down a
- 4:47Speaker 1: red carpet into a premiere takes hours, if not months,
- 4:50Speaker 1: of preparation, of planning. It's a really staged event. That's
- 4:55Speaker 1: why that crowd there might have been invited. I know
- 4:58Speaker 1: when they do premieres, they invite the local fan club.
- 5:01Speaker 1: So if Jennifer Lopez is turning up at the Ziegfeld
- 5:03Speaker 1: Theater in New York for a premiere, texts, emails go
- 5:07Speaker 1: out to local fans. They want the local fans. It's
- 5:09Speaker 1: very smart, isn't it? I remember once a friend of
- 5:12Speaker 1: mine worked for Joan Collins. Remember her from Dynasty?
- 5:14Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 5:15Speaker 1: She landed in Britain. And when she lands on Concord,
- 5:18Speaker 1: she was on the Concord, she had a wig on,
- 5:20Speaker 1: she had a hair and makeup on, and they'd called
- 5:22Speaker 1: the local fan club. And there was hundreds of Joan
- 5:24Speaker 1: fans outside the airport screaming. And she loved it. They
- 5:29Speaker 1: do that. I think Joan thought it happened organically. Nothing
- 5:33Speaker 1: happens organically. Everything is planned. I think that's a mistake
- 5:38Speaker 1: we make in life. We wait for things to just
- 5:40Speaker 1: happen because we think they won't. Plan them. If you
- 5:44Speaker 1: want to have friends, you've got to plan to go
- 5:45Speaker 1: out and meet people. If you want to go to
- 5:47Speaker 1: the theater, you've got to buy a ticket. It doesn't
- 5:49Speaker 1: just land on your lap. So this was beautifully planned.
- 5:53Speaker 1: And I've had to sit myself down today, Mark, and
- 5:56Speaker 1: actually have a little think about this. There's a glimmer
- 5:58Speaker 1: of hope. I thought the flame of them returning, of
- 6:03Speaker 1: being accepted, was pretty much extinguished. I thought it, I'm wrong. Today,
- 6:10Speaker 1: it looks like a royal visit. Now, people are going
- 6:12Speaker 1: to put big holes in this. I know there's people
- 6:14Speaker 1: that don't like the Sussexes, including my family. They're going
- 6:16Speaker 1: to be really cross when they see this news coverage.
- 6:19Speaker 1: But tonight on the evening news around the world, Tomorrow
- 6:23Speaker 1: on the cover of every newspaper, there's going to be
- 6:25Speaker 1: a picture of Meghan and Harry, a little Union Jack,
- 6:28Speaker 1: some old beautiful lady handing them flowers, and the actual frame.
- 6:33Speaker 1: I don't know what's going on outside that frame, but
- 6:35Speaker 1: if you crop that quite carefully, it's a royal visit, Mark.
- 6:40Speaker 1: The palace must be ripping their hair out because these
- 6:45Speaker 1: two are not going anywhere.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Listen, the palace wasn't built in a day. Neither was Rome.
- 6:51Speaker 2: It's piece by piece, brick by brick, and they are rebuilding.
- 6:55Speaker 2: They are in the Renaissance phase, I think. And you
- 6:58Speaker 2: know what? There shouldn't be haters like you said, but
- 7:00Speaker 2: we're not hating today. We're giving our support to you,
- 7:03Speaker 2: and we're not plants.
- 7:04Speaker 1: We're not plants. We've been very critical about these two,
- 7:08Speaker 1: rightly so. But you know what? I think the joy
- 7:10Speaker 1: of this show and the joy of our friendship and
- 7:12Speaker 1: our friendship with the Norteses, we do tell the truth,
- 7:15Speaker 1: even when we don't necessarily... want to hear it. I
- 7:18Speaker 1: know there's going to be a lot of listeners today
- 7:20Speaker 1: who don't want to hear this, but you've got to listen.
- 7:23Speaker 1: It went really well. And I'm shocked. I'm the first.
- 7:26Speaker 1: I can admit when I'm wrong. I thought it was over, Mark.
- 7:29Speaker 1: I thought today, we had a different lead today. Because
- 7:31Speaker 1: I was like, oh, they're going to turn up in
- 7:32Speaker 1: Nottingham this morning. And because of the time difference, we
- 7:35Speaker 1: won't even see them. They're going to be snucking through
- 7:37Speaker 1: the side door because they're frightened the town is going
- 7:40Speaker 1: to have pitchforks and run them out of the city. No. Now,
- 7:45Speaker 1: it's not quite... It's not quite as magnificent as the
- 7:48Speaker 1: pictures make out. I saw the pictures on my phone.
- 7:51Speaker 1: People were texting me. But I have people on the
- 7:54Speaker 1: ground there. It's only 100. I mean, I got 100
- 7:58Speaker 1: at my book party. So let's just be clear. Like,
- 8:00Speaker 1: it's only 100. But I don't want to rain on
- 8:02Speaker 1: the parade here. There's something going on, Mark. They did
- 8:05Speaker 1: a really good job today. And having Irene there, Megan,
- 8:09Speaker 1: you need to send her a pot of jam. Because
- 8:11Speaker 1: having Irene there was a lovely touch, which brings us
- 8:15Speaker 1: to our poll question of the day. Harry and Meghan
- 8:17Speaker 1: have returned to a royal style event. It looks royal.
- 8:20Speaker 1: You're going to see the pictures today. Do they have
- 8:23Speaker 1: a chance? Is this the beginning? Could they come back?
- 8:28Speaker 1: Look at the crowd today. Look at the faces. Look
- 8:32Speaker 1: at the excitement. Nottingham is not a town that gets
- 8:36Speaker 1: a lot of celebrities. Madonna does not stop in Nottingham.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Taylor Swift does not do a concert in Nottingham. So
- 8:44Speaker 1: to have two members of I want to say the
- 8:48Speaker 1: royal family, even though they're not working royals, he'll always
- 8:50Speaker 1: be Diana's son. He's always going to be a prince.
- 8:53Speaker 1: A friend of mine last night at dinner said something
- 8:54Speaker 1: so clever. They said that Sex and the City got cancelled,
- 8:57Speaker 1: but Sarah Jessica will always be Carrie Bradshaw. That's the truth.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Harry will always be a prince. Diana was kicked out.
- 9:05Speaker 1: She was no longer a working royal. She was always
- 9:07Speaker 1: a princess. She was Princess Diana. So the palace can
- 9:09Speaker 1: pull titles. They can say they're private citizens. Just look
- 9:13Speaker 1: at these photographs. Oof. If you don't like them, and
- 9:16Speaker 1: I know you're out there, naughties, this is not going
- 9:18Speaker 1: to be a good day. So go vote on our
- 9:21Speaker 1: X page, our Twitter page, at Naughty Nice Rob. Our
- 9:24Speaker 1: Facebook page is Naughty Gossip. And be sure to check
- 9:27Speaker 1: back tomorrow to see what these two are up to
- 9:30Speaker 1: and your results. Okay, Lippie, what are you working on?
- 9:33Speaker 2: All right. So Carol Redwell has been grilled over Epstein files.
- 9:39Speaker 2: her Ghislaine Maxwell friendship on The Real Housewives of New York.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Let me explain.
- 9:44Speaker 2: So Carol faced uncomfortable questions about Jeffrey Epstein and her
- 9:49Speaker 2: friend Ghislaine during Tuesday's exclusive episode. She said, I never
- 9:54Speaker 2: knew Jerry Epstein, Jeffrey Epstein, she said. And then she
- 9:58Speaker 2: acknowledged that her name appeared in the file. She also
- 10:01Speaker 2: downplayed her relationship with convicted sex trafficker Maxwell, insisting they
- 10:06Speaker 2: were merely just friends and not close. She said, she
- 10:09Speaker 2: was never one of my close friends. And she described
- 10:13Speaker 2: her as a social climber.
- 10:15Speaker 1: You need to, Carol. Carol. Carol. Carol. Carol. Carol married
- 10:19Speaker 1: into the Kennedys. Carol got herself a Kennedy. It really
- 10:23Speaker 1: bugs me. It sort of makes me chuckle because Carol
- 10:26Speaker 1: is really not the most likable person. If you've met her,
- 10:30Speaker 1: she looks down her nose. She really has. I think
- 10:33Speaker 1: she believes now that she is a Kennedy. And she
- 10:37Speaker 1: married into that family who have a very troubled relationship
- 10:39Speaker 1: with her. They do not like her doing these types
- 10:42Speaker 1: of shows. This is what it was going to be.
- 10:44Speaker 1: When you sign up for a reality show, this is
- 10:46Speaker 1: what it's going to be. Like, she's not stupid, Carol.
- 10:50Speaker 1: The reason you're back is because of the Epstein files.
- 10:53Speaker 1: You're not back because you were particularly charming or funny
- 10:56Speaker 1: or witty. I don't think she has many memorable moments
- 11:00Speaker 1: like the other ladies do on the show. And so
- 11:03Speaker 1: this was going to happen. I think she's smart enough
- 11:04Speaker 1: to know it was going to happen. I think what
- 11:06Speaker 1: the disgusting part to me is that she has gone
- 11:09Speaker 1: from really, really capitalizing on the Kennedys to now capitalizing
- 11:13Speaker 1: on Epstein. It's all being associated to different families. And
- 11:17Speaker 1: I think that is just shocking. And also to own up,
- 11:21Speaker 1: I wrote an essay, an op-ed about working for Didi.
- 11:25Speaker 1: And it was my moment to say, I decided not
- 11:29Speaker 1: to see a lot of red flags. I admitted it.
- 11:31Speaker 1: I wanted to say, I didn't know anything. I didn't
- 11:33Speaker 1: see anything. No, no, no, it has nothing to do
- 11:36Speaker 1: with me. I really sat and thought about it and
- 11:39Speaker 1: I owned it. I worked with Diddy. I had to
- 11:42Speaker 1: really look back at my memories. What did I know?
- 11:47Speaker 1: What did I see? What did I choose not to see?
- 11:51Speaker 1: And that's a choice. And I think if Carol had
- 11:53Speaker 1: done that, she'd have way much more credibility. What do
- 11:57Speaker 1: you think?
- 11:57Speaker 2: Well, first, that was my favorite thing you've written. That
- 12:01Speaker 2: story was really well done and was really honest. And
- 12:03Speaker 2: I think Carol could use some of this honesty in
- 12:05Speaker 2: this moment. You know, I will say, and I like
- 12:07Speaker 2: to bring this up whenever her name appears in the show.
- 12:10Speaker 2: I did interview her during her period off TV when
- 12:13Speaker 2: she was hawking adult toys, because you know what? She
- 12:16Speaker 2: likes to be in the press. She likes attention. And
- 12:19Speaker 2: you know what? I'm not going to sugarcoat it. She
- 12:21Speaker 2: just wants to be talked about. And so we're talking
- 12:24Speaker 2: about you.
- 12:25Speaker 1: She's one. She's one. She's going to pretend to be furious.
- 12:27Speaker 1: I might even get, she emails me. I emailed her.
- 12:29Speaker 1: She might even pretend to be furious about this, but
- 12:32Speaker 1: no Carol loves being a celebrity. That's why she's on
- 12:34Speaker 1: the show. She loves the attention. They're not earning a
- 12:36Speaker 1: lot of money this season. It's all about attention. And
- 12:39Speaker 1: none of that is a bad thing unless you pretend
- 12:43Speaker 1: you hate attention. That's what I can't square here. I
- 12:46Speaker 1: love attention seekers. I do. I love a show pony.
- 12:50Speaker 1: I love it. What I don't like is people who
- 12:52Speaker 1: pretend they're above it, but yet secretly. really want it
- 12:57Speaker 1: carol we are on to you okay moving along kathy
- 13:00Speaker 1: griffin is blasting sean gillis who i did not know
- 13:03Speaker 1: he's a comedian who was on snl and made some
- 13:05Speaker 1: really offensive remarks i think in the monologue calling women
- 13:09Speaker 1: at the gym whores well Kathy is fighting back. She's
- 13:14Speaker 1: slamming him. And she said it's just recycled, outdated jokes
- 13:18Speaker 1: on women. She basically called him lazy and said that
- 13:22Speaker 1: he is looking to get. I won't use that word.
- 13:25Speaker 1: She is looking to find a girlfriend, to find a
- 13:27Speaker 1: little bit of love. And he tells all the same jokes.
- 13:30Speaker 1: She said, I will defend his right to say it.
- 13:32Speaker 1: But I will also defend anyone else's right to think
- 13:35Speaker 1: less of him. I love that expression. You can say it.
- 13:38Speaker 1: We're a free country. We are America. We have freedom
- 13:42Speaker 1: of speech. If you want to say something, say it.
- 13:45Speaker 1: But I also have the right to disagree or to
- 13:48Speaker 1: change my opinion about you. It's not cancel culture. It's
- 13:52Speaker 1: consequence culture. And I think there should be a consequence.
- 13:55Speaker 1: There's people on TV who say awful things and I
- 13:58Speaker 1: just don't listen to them anymore. It's their right to
- 14:00Speaker 1: say it. I'm sure people think that I'm annoying. It's
- 14:02Speaker 1: your right not to listen to me, but it is
- 14:05Speaker 1: your right to say it. And I think that distinction
- 14:07Speaker 1: is what makes this Kathy Griffin response so powerful. What
- 14:11Speaker 1: do you think?
- 14:12Speaker 2: I think it's the most interesting because she's an example
- 14:15Speaker 2: of this. She did something that people found upsetting with
- 14:19Speaker 2: Donald Trump and You know what? Her career got canceled.
- 14:23Speaker 2: She really lost everything. And she's now she's in her
- 14:25Speaker 2: own renaissance period rebuilding her life. But she knows what
- 14:27Speaker 2: it feels like to say something. And then there'd be
- 14:30Speaker 2: consequences after it. And, you know, Shane, I think he
- 14:32Speaker 2: is gross and I don't care for him. But I
- 14:34Speaker 2: also don't need to listen to him. He can speak,
- 14:37Speaker 2: but I'm going to just not listen. I don't care.
- 14:39Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't care. I was watching the monologue with
- 14:41Speaker 1: some friends, Mark. I couldn't believe it. I was sitting
- 14:43Speaker 1: on the couch. We normally have such a, we had
- 14:45Speaker 1: such a buzz on. We'd all had a glass of wine.
- 14:47Speaker 1: We'd all had some pizza. I was really looking forward
- 14:49Speaker 1: to a good giggle. And within two minutes, me and
- 14:52Speaker 1: my friends were like, oh, this doesn't feel right. This
- 14:55Speaker 1: doesn't feel funny. In fact, it feels really dated. It
- 14:58Speaker 1: feels really misogynist. I don't think we live in that
- 15:01Speaker 1: world anymore and making fun of women. It's never men,
- 15:05Speaker 1: but making fun of women and what they look like
- 15:08Speaker 1: and what their bodies are like and their sexuality. I
- 15:12Speaker 1: just don't think it's funny anymore. What do you think, naughties? Okay,
- 15:16Speaker 1: we're going to take a quick break and we will
- 15:19Speaker 1: be right back. Welcome back to the Naughty But Nice Show.
- 15:24Speaker 1: I'm your host, Rob Schuter. Hey, let's get to the polls.
- 15:29Speaker 1: Thank you very much, Mark. Last show, we talked about
- 15:31Speaker 1: Harry and Meghan who are desperate to avoid booze. Desperate
- 15:36Speaker 1: to avoid booze for their first public appearance, which is today.
- 15:40Speaker 1: In the UK. So we know the answer. We know
- 15:42Speaker 1: the answer. They were not booed. They were cheered, Mark.
- 15:45Speaker 1: This response was much, much better than they expected, I expected,
- 15:50Speaker 1: everybody expected. Our question was, will they succeed not being
- 15:55Speaker 1: booed 50-50? We didn't think this was going to happen today.
- 16:00Speaker 1: It's a 50. If you had asked me to bet yesterday...
- 16:03Speaker 1: I'd say, oh, I'm worried about it. They could be booed.
- 16:07Speaker 1: He was booed at a rugby match just a few
- 16:09Speaker 1: days ago and said to add Meghan to the mix.
- 16:12Speaker 1: I'm wrong. I'm absolutely wrong. They might get booed tomorrow
- 16:17Speaker 1: or next week, but today you have to hand them
- 16:19Speaker 1: their flowers, Mark. Today they pulled it off. And may
- 16:23Speaker 1: I add, They looked fabulous, which always helps. Okay, don't
- 16:28Speaker 1: forget to vote on today's poll. Go to our X page,
- 16:30Speaker 1: our Twitter page, at Naughty Nice Rob. Our Facebook page
- 16:34Speaker 1: is Naughty Gossip. And be sure to check back tomorrow
- 16:37Speaker 1: to hear your results. And now it's time for our
- 16:41Speaker 1: nicest of the day.
- 16:44Speaker 2: Oh, this is a cute one. Nick Lachey says, this
- 16:49Speaker 2: divorce from Jessica Simpson gave him a leg up. and
- 16:52Speaker 2: his marriage to Vanessa.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Interesting.
- 16:54Speaker 2: So during the season 11 premiere of Netflix's Love is Blind,
- 16:59Speaker 2: the 52-year-old singer admitted in 2006 that divorce helped him
- 17:03Speaker 2: understand what he wanted in a partner. He said, he
- 17:06Speaker 2: gives you a leg up because you know from that
- 17:09Speaker 2: experience and what is truly what you want. He said
- 17:12Speaker 2: his wife Vanessa and his wife Vanessa said also we
- 17:14Speaker 2: have Very messy past.
- 17:18Speaker 1: We do. We all have a messy past. You know,
- 17:21Speaker 1: past relationships are going to be messy or they wouldn't
- 17:23Speaker 1: be past relationships. They ended. Hopefully they ended well, but often, mostly,
- 17:27Speaker 1: they don't end that well. But I think this is
- 17:29Speaker 1: really interesting. It reminds me of a saying that I
- 17:32Speaker 1: use all the time. We use it on the show.
- 17:33Speaker 1: It feels like every month. The road to success is
- 17:36Speaker 1: paved with failure. You have to fail. You do. If
- 17:39Speaker 1: you want to be a good violin player, you've got
- 17:40Speaker 1: to be bad. If you want to be a good podcaster,
- 17:43Speaker 1: we know you've got to be bad. We're pretty bad.
- 17:45Speaker 1: If you want to have a good marriage, then you
- 17:48Speaker 1: have to have felt one. You have to have dealt
- 17:50Speaker 1: with one. You have to have gone through one. It's very,
- 17:53Speaker 1: very rare that you just find the first person and
- 17:56Speaker 1: everything is rainbows and unicorns. It's tricky. Life is tricky.
- 18:00Speaker 1: We learn skills as we go along. And because it
- 18:03Speaker 1: didn't work out the way you want it to be,
- 18:05Speaker 1: Don't throw away that experience. Think about it. Think what
- 18:09Speaker 1: could have changed. Me and Nick have a very difficult
- 18:11Speaker 1: relationship because I used to work for Jessica Simpson. He
- 18:13Speaker 1: really doesn't like me. But this, I get it. He
- 18:16Speaker 1: shouldn't either. He shouldn't. But this, if you're listening, Nick, hello, hello, hello.
- 18:21Speaker 1: This has made me change my mind a little bit
- 18:23Speaker 1: about Nick Lachey because it's a really big, honest thing
- 18:27Speaker 1: to say. Our nicest of the day. And now our
- 18:29Speaker 1: naughtiest of the day. Naughty, naughty, naughty. Paul McCartney is
- 18:31Speaker 1: the naughtiest of the day because he's furious over a
- 18:34Speaker 1: height mistake in the upcoming Beatles movie. Paul McCartney has
- 18:38Speaker 1: one big complaint about the upcoming Beatles biopic. He said
- 18:42Speaker 1: Hollywood is making him look short. Paul, you sold millions
- 18:46Speaker 1: of records. You are a Beatle. Get over it. Honey, honey,
- 18:51Speaker 1: you've got everything in life. You're a billionaire. People, honestly,
- 18:56Speaker 1: it just goes to show you, even when you have everything,
- 18:59Speaker 1: There's something that bugs you. I noticed the day. Hey,
- 19:02Speaker 1: let's end with a moment of Rob. Stop taking everything
- 19:06Speaker 1: personally because not everything is about you. One of the
- 19:10Speaker 1: quickest ways to make yourself miserable is to believe that
- 19:14Speaker 1: everything other people do is somehow about you. It's not.
- 19:19Speaker 1: If someone doesn't call, they must be angry with me.
- 19:22Speaker 1: If someone succeeds, they're trying to make me look bad.
- 19:26Speaker 1: If someone makes a different choice than me, it must
- 19:29Speaker 1: be a personal attack. Stop. You're wrong. It's not. It's not.
- 19:34Speaker 1: It's not. Not everything is a secret message. Not every
- 19:39Speaker 1: decision is designed to hurt you. And not everyone is
- 19:43Speaker 1: thinking about you as much as you imagine. Here's the
- 19:46Speaker 1: secret to being happier. Stop looking forward. for insults stop
- 19:51Speaker 1: looking for them and start looking for joy because sometimes
- 19:55Speaker 1: it simply isn't about you that is good advice I
- 20:01Speaker 1: used to think everything was about me I was such
- 20:03Speaker 1: a narcissist I was so thin skinned if somebody looked
- 20:07Speaker 1: at me the wrong way I'd upset them If I
- 20:10Speaker 1: said something and people didn't laugh, then I'm not for it. No,
- 20:12Speaker 1: people are busy. People have their lives. People have tons
- 20:17Speaker 1: of stuff in their lives. You are not their priority.
- 20:20Speaker 1: And that's not a bad thing. That's liberating. Hey, that
- 20:23Speaker 1: is it for today. A monumental day here on the
- 20:27Speaker 1: Naughty But Nice Show. I don't think we've been nice
- 20:29Speaker 1: about Harry and Meghan in years. And finally, I've had
- 20:32Speaker 1: to eat my hat, so to speak. So thank you
- 20:35Speaker 1: so much for listening on this special day. It's a
- 20:37Speaker 1: naughty bit nice with Rob and Mark. We're a production
- 20:40Speaker 1: of iHeartRadio and Elvis Duran. Don't forget to follow me
