- 1:36That's why we're going to be talking about some college football as well because we
- 1:39had to, because why we are the football junkies podcast and anything related to football we
- 1:45must discuss and talk about as well as, can the Bengals come to a conclusion with Jamar
- 1:52Chase and get a deal done for him.

- 2:34a title that I love the most.
- 2:36I am your host, your GM.
- 2:40That's right. Your GM.
- 2:42You already know what I'm getting ready to say.

- 3:07in the backseat.
- 3:08Just know this episode is going to be long enough for you
- 3:11to get the task done.
- 3:13I am your host, Kale.
- 3:15You already know what I'm getting ready to say on three,
- 3:18one, two, three, lock in.
- 3:20All right, folks, let's just get into the meat and the potatoes
- 3:25of everything that's going on in the football universe,
- 3:31mega verse, verse, verse, whatever you want to call it.
- 3:33Okay.
- 3:34Who cares if your
- 3:50on in the football universe, mega verse, verse, verse, whatever you want to call it.
- 3:55Okay.
- 3:56Who will be going to start with?
- 3:57We're going to start with the line because why?
- 4:00Lime and deserve love.
- 4:01Okay.
- 4:02The big guys deserve love.
- 4:03Okay.
- 4:04And who we start off with literally one of the greatest left tackles of our generation,
- 4:09Trent Williams.
- 4:10Okay.
- 4:11He has inked a three year, 82.6 million dollar extension.
- 4:16Okay.
- 4:17He gets 48 million guaranteed at signing.
- 4:20He gets a 25.6 million dollar signing bonus.
- 4:23Okay.
- 4:24Now we got to put in some notes just so we can add a little bit more context to this
- 4:27deal.
- 4:28Okay.
- 4:29This is the most cash for any linemen in year one.
- 4:32Okay.
- 4:33At 27.65 million.
- 4:34Cool.
- 4:35This is the most guaranteed money for any linemen since 2021 and 103 million dollars.
- 4:43He just got the bag again.
- 4:48He got it.
- 4:49It worked.
- 4:50It worked.
- 4:51Even though yes, he is going to have to pay fines per the CBA and whatnot.
- 4:55That is literally just a crumb to everything, to all the other money that he's bringing
- 5:01in.
- 5:02Okay.
- 5:03As I've said before, and I've said this in multiple podcast, but multiple episodes,
- 5:08Trent Williams deserved his money.
- 5:11Okay.
- 5:12Once Christian Derisaw got his money, everybody knew that Trent Williams was going to want
- 5:17more money.
- 5:18Everybody knew that because why?
- 5:20He is still the best left tackle in the game right now.
- 5:24That's no disrespect to Christian Derisaw, but Trent Williams is on a whole another level.
- 5:30Even at this point in his career, people would have thought, oh man, you're starting to see
- 5:35a little bit of decline.
- 5:37No.
- 5:38No.
- 5:39He is still holding his own with the best of the best.
- 5:42He is still putting people in the ground.
- 5:45Okay.
- 5:46That is who Trent Williams is.
- 5:48As I've said before, and this is a factual stat, you can find it on NFL Pro.
- 5:54Since the 49ers traded for Trent Williams, they started to run the ball more on his side
- 6:01and they were doing it at a more successful rate.
- 6:05That shows you that he is not only just an impactful player, but he is a game changer.
- 6:12Okay.
- 6:13That's just who he is.
- 6:15And granted, I understand there were people saying, well, Trent Williams should have just
- 6:19tried to be there.
- 6:20No, he doesn't have to.
- 6:23Because why?
- 6:24If he wanted to, realistically speaking here, Trent Williams could have walked away from
- 6:29football and not care because why?
- 6:33He has solidified his career.
- 6:35He has.
- 6:36He's going to go down in history and one of the greatest left tackles of all time.
- 6:40He is going to be a first ballot Hall of Famer.
- 6:43He's getting a gold jacket.
- 6:45Okay.
- 6:46That is a 100% guarantee.
- 6:49He's made well over $100 million.
- 6:52He's good.
- 6:53He doesn't have to do anything else.
- 6:55He has nothing else to prove.
- 6:57The only other thing that he probably would want is probably just to rank, just to sweeten
- 7:02the deal and just to end things on the right foot.
- 7:08That's it.
- 7:09Other than that, he's done everything else that there is to do.
- 7:12He's gone up against the best of the best his entire career.
- 7:17Right?
- 7:18So it was only a matter of time before the 49ers were going to do it.
- 7:21Now, I will say this and this is why I made the title for this episode.
- 7:27The way the one, I can't even speak.
- 7:30It's definitely the coffee.
- 7:31I'm super excited because we've got a quadruple bag alert.
- 7:33Okay.
- 7:34This is the first time we've ever had a quadruple bag alert.
- 7:36You guys do not understand how excited I was.
- 7:39Okay.
- 7:40The quadruple is going to be just a normal, just bag alert or double bag alert or triple
- 7:44bag alert, but no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 7:46This is different.
- 7:48This is different.
- 7:49Okay.
- 7:50But back to Trent Williams.
- 7:53This is the last dance for the 49ers.
- 7:55Okay.
- 7:56Anyone says you can bash me all you want.
- 7:59You can fight me all you want.
- 8:00You can do all those different type of things.
- 8:02This is the last dance.
- 8:03This is the curtain call for the 49ers.
- 8:06And the reason why I'm saying that is because at this point, there is no, there is no other
- 8:12better opportunity that the 49ers have than now.
- 8:16You have to win now to justify every single move that the 49ers have made within the past
- 8:24five to six to seven or eight years.
- 8:27You have to because you've taken care of all of your players.
- 8:31You've paid all your superstars.
- 8:33You've done all those different types of things.
- 8:35Now it's time for you to win a Super Bowl.
- 8:38And not to mention everybody knows once, once, once, I can't even speak, once the team starts
- 8:46to enter the phase where they have to pay the quarterback, that same cap flexibility that
- 8:50they used to have is going to be very limited.
- 8:53So that means instead of them going after a player that is looking for a new deal and
- 8:58you can just add on, you know, more guarantees and whatnot, or you can just give them a whole
- 9:02spanking brand new deal and probably reset the market for that individual position.
- 9:07Now you're going to have to make a decision on probably going after a player who has an
- 9:12expiring contract or has no guarantees.
- 9:15And all you have to do is just add on a maybe 10 to 15, 10 to 15 million and more guarantees
- 9:23compared to going after a younger, more viable player.
- 9:27That's just what it is at this point.
- 9:29Not to mention they've done a lot.
- 9:33They've traded, you know, for multiple players.
- 9:35They traded for Christian McCaffrey, traded for Trent Williams.
- 9:38They paid George Kittle, Debo, Brandi and IU, Fred Warner, Nick Bosa, Gravedigger.
- 9:44They traded away the Forrest Buckner.
- 9:47They traded away Eric Armstead.
- 9:49They did all those different types of things, right?
- 9:52And at some point you have to win at least one.
- 9:55I'm not saying that you have to win two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine,
- 10:0010.
- 10:01I'm not saying that you won't even be able to with this core, but you have to win one,
- 10:07just one.
- 10:08Because at this point it feels like they're trying to buy a Super Bowl and you can never
- 10:15buy a Super Bowl, right?
- 10:17And this is sort of a reason why I think we have to in some ways, and this was a point
- 10:24that I had thought of when the brandi news came down and he finally got paid.
- 10:31This is why I think we have to appreciate the Patriots' dynasty more.
- 10:35Because a lot of the turmoil and foolishness and conundrum that the 49ers are having, you
- 10:41would have never heard that from the Patriots.
- 10:44Because the Patriots would have just shipped people off, you know, know if ands or buts
- 10:49about it.
- 10:50That whole will ship you away two years before, then two years after.
- 10:57Trust and believe there would have been a lot of turnover with this 49ers.
- 11:00We have, let's just be honest here.
- 11:02But I think it's important to note that the pressure is really on John Lynch and Kyle
- 11:08Shanahan to win a Super Bowl.
- 11:11If I'm management, I'm looking at you every single week of this upcoming season.
- 11:20And I'm emphasizing like, listen, I want to be able to hold a Lombardi.
- 11:25One Lombardi, that's it.
- 11:27If we can hold up one Lombardi, I won't care.
- 11:31Because I don't wrote so many checks.
- 11:34I don't reset in the market for so many different players.
- 11:38And we haven't been able to do anything.
- 11:40And it's hard, and I get it.
- 11:41It's hard to go to the Super Bowl, let alone win the Super Bowl.
- 11:45I get that.
- 11:47But when you have multiple opportunities, and you've been in multiple Super Bowls, and
- 11:53you have been as close as you can in both instances to win a Super Bowl, and you choked,
- 12:00that falls on you.
- 12:01That falls on you.
- 12:02It doesn't fall on anybody else.
- 12:04That falls on you.
- 12:06Especially when it was a coaching decision, not necessarily a player decision.
- 12:10In 2019, when they went up against the Chiefs, what did they do?
- 12:15If I'm not mistaken, I think they stopped running the ball.
- 12:17They wanted to pass the ball more.
- 12:19And in doing so, guess what happened?
- 12:21They lost the game.
- 12:22They gave the Chiefs leverage, and they were able to come back and win.
- 12:27Same thing with this past Super Bowl, right?
- 12:31Now that one was a little bit different, because both teams were, you know, gassed.
- 12:36I'm talking about they were tired, but it was just that Chiefs defense, they started
- 12:41to get hot, they started to have some momentum, and they just sealed the deal.
- 12:46And then you have Patrick Mahomes, you know, doing Patrick Mahomes things, and you know,
- 12:50this is the situation that you're in right now.
- 12:52So I say all that to say this, if the 49ers do not win, it's going to be hard to really,
- 13:01you know, look at Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch as, you know, one of the best, you know, coaching
- 13:08GM duos in this league.
- 13:10It really is.
- 13:12Because if we're being real here, the teams that you really have to worry about are the
- 13:17Lions, the Eagles, the Ravens, of course, the Chiefs, and you know, somebody else that
- 13:25might be that that might be a dark horse, right?
- 13:29You don't really have to worry about anybody else.
- 13:31So if you can, so if you can maintain this course, and if you can try to win as many
- 13:37games as you possibly can, hey, I mean, it's there, it's there.
- 13:43The chance for you to go back to the Super Bowl is there.
- 13:48But you have to want to, you have to want to be able to get there and to finish the job,
- 13:54not get halfway, not get to the Super Bowl and do everything that you're supposed to
- 13:59do and then choke away.
- 14:01No, you have to finish it from you have to do it from start to finish.
- 14:05You have to and if you don't, then guess what's going to happen?
- 14:10Everyone's really going to label you a choke artist.
- 14:13That's really, that's really what it is.
- 14:15And Kyle Shanahan has been having that label, you know, since the whole Falcon situation
- 14:21choke artist.
- 14:22So Kyle, you got to do something, bro.
- 14:25You got to do something.
- 14:27You can't say, oh, we was devoid of, you know, talent and whatnot.
- 14:31Now you have multiple Hall of Famers on your team on both sides of the ball.
- 14:36Christopher and Kathy Hall of Famer, Trent Williams Hall of Famer, Nick, well, no, no,
- 14:40I don't know about Nick Bows.
- 14:41I don't know about Frick Warner.
- 14:42Well, you know what?
- 14:43Forget about that.
- 14:44Forget about that.
- 14:45Forget about that.
- 14:46Forget about that.
- 14:47But that's, that's all I have to say for the 49ers.
- 14:51Hopefully they win.
- 14:52If they don't, well, then, oh, well, I don't care because guess what?
- 14:54It's not my team.
- 14:55Okay.
- 14:56Moving forward to the other offensive linemen on the other side of the ball.
- 15:00Cameron Hayward, defense of tackle for the six time, six time.
- 15:05You thought I wasn't going to do it, but I was going to do it six time, six time, six
- 15:10time, six time.
- 15:13Super Bowl champions.
- 15:14Yes, I did that.
- 15:15I'm going to continue to do that.
- 15:16Now, if we have a second episode this week, I might just do it again.
- 15:21Yes, I'm going to do it.
- 15:23Oh, and I'm letting you guys know right now to all the people that are Cowboys fans.
- 15:30And you guys do have to go up against us.
- 15:32And if you guys do lose, just know I've already told my friends who are Cowboys fans, you
- 15:37will be getting called out on that episode.
- 15:40You have been warned now back to our regular program.
- 15:44Cameron Hayward ain't a quote unquote three year, $45 million extension to stay with the
- 15:50Steelers, 29 million guarantee.
- 15:52And apparently he gets a 15 plus million dollar signing bonus.
- 15:56Now this is what I will, this is what I'll do first.
- 15:59Okay, I'm going to explain it and then we're going to sort of go into a deep dive.
- 16:05So essentially from the, from the, from a media standpoint, they're reporting it as
- 16:11a three year, $45 million dollar deal.
- 16:13When in actuality, it's actually a two year deal, right?
- 16:18And so basically what they did was they converted his base salary, if I'm not mistaken, for
- 16:24this year, they can, they converted it into a signing bonus, which actually saves the
- 16:30team actually about nine, nine million, nine plus million in, in cap space, right?
- 16:37And so, you know, when, when we look at this here, according to NFL pro last season, the
- 16:42Steelers were more effective in defending the run with Cam on the field than off.
- 16:47And so, you know, this is what I will say.
- 16:49Okay.
- 16:50And I was definitely on the fence about, you know, giving, giving the extension to Cam,
- 16:57simply because of, you know, the injury that he had suffered and just seeing how a lot
- 17:03of times when teams give these older players, these, you know, these bigger, these bigger
- 17:09time contracts, how it affects them, not, you know, immediately, but like later on down
- 17:14the road, I've seen it and it just doesn't end well.
- 17:18But you know, for this to be essentially a two year extension, it's actually really
- 17:21good, you know, it's definitely a team friendly deal.
- 17:25And you know, let's, let's, let's be real here, folks.
- 17:28Cam Hayward as a run stuffer is still one of the best, right?
- 17:33Now when it comes to pass rush moves and all those different types of things, that's a
- 17:36different conversation for a different type of day.
- 17:38Okay.
- 17:39When it comes to run stuffing, he is still one of the best.
- 17:43And that's what the Steelers need him for.
- 17:45They need him to be a run stuffer and you can still play in the league, you know, at
- 17:52an older age as a, as a run stuffer, look at Kalei is Campbell Kalei is Campbell as
- 17:58old as he is, is still being, it's still, you know, one of the best of the best, especially
- 18:03at what run stuff.
- 18:05He's not, you know, being a patch rusher and all those different types of things.
- 18:08He is mainly for clogging up the middle.
- 18:11And that's what Cam is doing basically.
- 18:15And so, you know, it was definitely, it was definitely some turmoil.
- 18:19You can definitely, you know, see, you know, in the earlier parts of the off season, you
- 18:24know, him emphasizing that he wants to be here and, you know, he just wants to be compensated
- 18:29and one nine.
- 18:30He doesn't want to follow into the same footsteps that other Steelers greats have fallen where,
- 18:36you know, basically they've been, you know, booted out of, you know, booted out of, you
- 18:40know, booted into retirement, you know, when you look at Troy situation, we look at the
- 18:44look at Heinz Ward situations and, you know, other noticeable players.
- 18:49So, you know, all in all, he's, you know, he wants to stay with this team as long as
- 18:55he can.
- 18:56And I don't, I don't blame him for it.
- 18:57I think the team is still in a good, in a good place.
- 19:01I think next year, I will say this as an early prediction.
- 19:05I do think that, you know, with them emphasizing the offense in line for the past two years,
- 19:11I think they're now going to shift towards the defensive line because as of right now,
- 19:16the only upside that you have on the defensive line is Keanu Benton and you need somebody
- 19:22else along with Keanu Benton in order to make things really productive, right?
- 19:27And with it being a defensive heavy class and multiple, you know, deep, multiple really
- 19:33good defensive prospects are coming out of, you know, are coming out next year, like Mason
- 19:39Graham and Dion Walker.
- 19:41I mean, that's a good opportunity, right?
- 19:43If you get, if you get one of those two, right, and you have them to just sit and to learn
- 19:49under someone like a Cameron Hayward, that's great.
- 19:53That's great because then he understands the traditions, the culture, the standards, all
- 19:58those different types of things.
- 20:00And once Cam feels like, okay, this is my last ride.
- 20:03I'm ready to go out.
- 20:05I did everything that I could do.
- 20:08Cool.
- 20:09And that way you know that, you know, it's in the hands of the next generation of great
- 20:14Steelers defensive linemen because that's what they need at this point.
- 20:17They need to bolster up the defensive line because just having TJ Y, Alex Highsmith,
- 20:25Larry O'Owen, Joe B, Cameron Hayward, Keanu Benton, that's not going to get it.
- 20:29They got to bring in some fresh blood at this point.
- 20:32And you know, to the people that say that, oh, Cam is, is watch this and the other cam
- 20:37has been more productive and more consistent.
- 20:41Even when he was hurt last year, even when a lot of people were saying that that injury
- 20:45was, was worse than what it was and that he probably should have stayed out, you know,
- 20:50for the season and whatnot.
- 20:51He still came in and he still tried to do his part and you can't take that away from
- 20:56him compared to Larry O'Owen, O'Owen, Joe B, who no, just no disrespect to him.
- 21:01But ever since that foot injury and ever since he left the bangles, he has not been the same
- 21:06player.
- 21:07He just has not.
- 21:08And it shows.
- 21:09Sure, you'll see, you know, flashes and, you know, here, there and everywhere, but it's
- 21:14still, you still don't see the same player than what you saw from a few years ago.
- 21:18Case in point, that is why he didn't get the deal that he got from the bangles because
- 21:24a writ, I mean, not, not the bangles from the Bears because originally he was supposed
- 21:29to ink a crazy deal with the Bears.
- 21:32But the only reason why he didn't get that deal was because he failed his physical because
- 21:37of his Liz Frank injury.
- 21:39If you guys don't know what Liz Frank injury is, it's basically an injury under, under
- 21:44your foot.
- 21:46And so basically like it can, it can make your foot feel like real tender, like real uncomfortable.
- 21:51So like, well, what's the best way to put it?
- 21:54There's a lot of nerves like under your feet.
- 21:57And sometimes if you, if they're damaged and whatnot, it can like really, it can be really
- 22:02painful and whatnot.
- 22:05So you know, I say all that to say this, even though I just, I just became a quick doctor
- 22:12for, you know, for a second, but who cares?
- 22:16You know, this was definitely a great deal.
- 22:19It's glad that, you know, this is a team friendly deal.
- 22:22Now this, now that this is taken care of, all you have to worry about is Pat Fryer move
- 22:27and even then with Pat Fryer move as your back row domicense, I want to put out this
- 22:30prediction.
- 22:31I don't even think that deal is going to be relatively, you know, as crazy as what people
- 22:36think it is.
- 22:37I think when you look at the numbers, the initial numbers, I think people are probably
- 22:42going to like blow it out of proportion.
- 22:43I'm going to be thinking, oh, this is horrible.
- 22:45This is bad for the team.
- 22:47This than the other blah, blah, blah.
- 22:48And it's like, no, when you look at the structure of the deal, then you're going to be like,
- 22:53okay, I get it now.
- 22:55Right.
- 22:56And so honestly speaking, it's, it's, it's a good situation.
- 23:00It's a really good situation.
- 23:01The Steelers have, you know, catch space just in case if they need to make a move, you know,
- 23:06in season or whatnot.
- 23:07So all in all, a great situation for them now on to the other person.
- 23:12So cornerback, well, slot cornerback, Michael Carter, the second for the jets into a three
- 23:17year, 30.75 million dollar deal that can go up to 33 million.
- 23:24Okay.
- 23:2519 million in total guarantees.
- 23:26He'll be making 10.2 million a year.
- 23:29Okay.
- 23:30So the 42 NFL pro last season, he had the third highest tight window target rate in the season
- 23:36at 38.2%.
- 23:38Okay.
- 23:39The minimum was 40 targets.
- 23:41Okay.
- 23:42And of course, as I've just said, he is the highest paid slot corner in the league.
- 23:47So when you look at it here, you know, the corner, the slot cornerback market has definitely
- 23:51started to grow substantially, well, well, you know, if over the past few years, it's,
- 23:57you know, it.
- 23:58If I do, I think it'll probably get to the point where like, like where it is for the,
- 24:02you know, for corners.
- 24:03I don't know.
- 24:04I really don't know.
- 24:06But you know, slot corners have definitely become more effective and are being used more
- 24:10by defensive coordinators.
- 24:12A lot of, a lot of creep.
- 24:14Hmm.
- 24:15I can't speak.
- 24:16I'm just so excited.
- 24:17You guys understand.
- 24:18I'm super excited.
- 24:19They're, they're starting to use slot corners in a more creative way instead of just lining
- 24:24up and covering, you know, receivers are in the slot.
- 24:27They're using them in different blitz packages and, you know, all those different, you know,
- 24:33different types of schemes and whatnot, and they're working.
- 24:36And when you have someone like Michael Carter, who has been really productive and has been
- 24:40one of the most productive, you know, slot corners in the league, then, you know, this,
- 24:45this is what happens.
- 24:46And not to mention it's a deal that doesn't necessarily break, you know, break the bank.
- 24:50It's only 10.2 million a year.
- 24:52That's not really that bad.
- 24:54It really isn't.
- 24:55Especially when you have someone who has been, you know, as consistent as he's been and has
- 25:00been as productive as he's been, you know, in the slot, you know, it's, it's only right
- 25:06to he, that he gets his, you know, they get his payday.
- 25:09And, you know, what, what's crazy is as soon as the news dropped for that, Mike Hilton
- 25:14posted posted the gift of, of Kevin Hart when he's just, you know, not in his head and whatnot.
- 25:20So I wouldn't be surprised if Mike Hilton will probably be looking for more money.
- 25:24You know, once this off season is, is done and whatnot, but onto the bigger, bigger,
- 25:30bigger, bigger, bigger.
- 25:32Okay.
- 25:33Back alert.
- 25:34Okay.
- 25:35Patrick Sartain PS2.
- 25:37Okay.
- 25:38Ain't a four year, 96 million dollar deal, 77.5 million guaranteed.
- 25:45He'll be making 24 million a year.
- 25:48Now this is what I will say.
- 25:51I was close.
- 25:52I was close.
- 25:53I was close.
- 25:54But when we look at things though, right?
- 25:58According to spot rack, his, they, the market value that they have for him was the three
- 26:01years, 66.5 million, 22.1 million a year.
- 26:05Now as your back row diamonds, I have to put this in there.
- 26:07My prediction was three years, 73 million, 24.3 million a year.
- 26:14Now when we look at this, this is definitely a curveball because I was not expecting this
- 26:20at all, but you know, PS2 coming into the league was a lockdown corner, right?
- 26:26And has held his own against some of the best receivers in the league.
- 26:30Okay.
- 26:31When I'm talking about, he's gone up against Kenyna.
- 26:34He's gone up against the Vontae Adams, Justin Jefferson and company.
- 26:38And when you all ask them, you know, who, who are the top corners that, you know, that
- 26:42give you the problems, most of the times that are going to bring up PS2.
- 26:47And you know, I, I remember vividly when PS2 was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was,
- 26:50was coming out of Alabama.
- 26:52I wanted the Steelers to get Patrick, Patrick Sarsane so bad because I know that he was
- 26:59going to, that he was automatically going to be a number one lockdown corner.
- 27:04And there was nothing that you can say otherwise.
- 27:07You are talking about somebody who is sticky in coverage, who with no help holds his own,
- 27:15holds his own.
- 27:16I'm talking about a straight up dog when it comes to covering one-on-one, mono, mono
- 27:23against some of the best route running receivers, some of the best physical receivers, just
- 27:27some of the best receivers in the league, right?
- 27:30Not to mention, apparently this off season, that 2018 Alabama group has generated well
- 27:39over a billion dollars in NFL contracts this year.
- 27:44And this just shows how great that team was, how great that court was.
- 27:51And you know, kudos to, to, to Alabama and to Nick Saban for, you know, for all the things
- 27:58that he did.
- 27:59You know, I know a lot of people give him a lot of slack for, you know, for all the
- 28:02various sound bites and clips that we see on social media and whatnot.
- 28:06But you know, that coaching generated, you know, well over a billion dollars in NFL contracts
- 28:12this year for all those players that was on that team.
- 28:15So all in all, I think it's a W, honestly.
- 28:18And it's, you know, the Broncos keep a, you know, a number one corner of their team.
- 28:25Great.
- 28:26Now the question is, are, you know, how are they going to build off of that?
- 28:30Right?
- 28:31Because again, you know, there's going to be a defensive minded, I mean, not defensive
- 28:34minded, there's going to be a defensive heavy draft class.
- 28:37So I mean, you know, there is a corner, you know, if you get that other corner, you know,
- 28:41you're going to have two lockdown corners on your team.
- 28:44I'm not going to give who the names will Johnson Michigan.
- 28:48But yeah, so yeah, this is a really good situation for the Broncos, you know, because
- 28:54let's be real here.
- 28:55If PSD would have hit free agency, you would have never been able to get him back.
- 29:01Never ever, ever, ever, ever.
- 29:04Okay.
- 29:05Now, speaking of corners, this will probably be my prediction for, for sauce.
- 29:11I would say sauce is probably going to get 25.
- 29:15I think so.
- 29:16I think sauce is definitely going to get 25 because and that's, that's probably counting.
- 29:22That's probably not even counting if he, you know, if he doesn't win the defensive player
- 29:25of the year or any major award and whatnot.
- 29:28If he wins a major award and you know, he has somewhat of a better statistical season
- 29:34than what PS2 has had, like a legendary historic season, oh, bring, bring in the, bring, bring
- 29:41in the bank.
- 29:42Just, just bring the whole bang with you.
- 29:44Bring, bring the tellers, bring the money machine, bring the ball, bring all those things.
- 29:49Just bring it to the just facility right then and there.
- 29:52Just bring it.
- 29:53Just, just, just bring it because he is going to cash in folks.
- 29:56Now, now that we've gotten all the baggler top away, we got to get into the real nooks
- 30:02and crannies of this episode.
- 30:04Okay.
- 30:05So we got football.
- 30:06Okay.
- 30:07Ravens and Chiefs start off the season.
- 30:09Okay.
- 30:10The red carpet has been laid.
- 30:11It is now, it is now time for people to walk down and do the do.
- 30:17Okay.
- 30:18Now, this is what I will say.
- 30:19I'm going to start with the Ravens first and then we're going to go over to the Chiefs.
- 30:23The Ravens, a lot, a lot is riding on this year for the Ravens, right?
- 30:28And the reason why I say that is because this game could be, this game could be the start
- 30:35of a great season or bad season, right?
- 30:38I'm going to say that again.
- 30:40This could be the start of a great season or bad season.
- 30:43And the reason why I say that is because you want, you want to make this game a statement
- 30:50game, right?
- 30:51You want this game to make a statement to let people know that, listen, last year that
- 30:56was, that was on us.
- 30:58We didn't want to run the ball, but guess what?
- 31:00We're going to make it right this year.
- 31:02We're going to make it right.
- 31:04And that's, this is how you do it.
- 31:05This is the opportunity that you get.
- 31:07If they punch the Chiefs in the mouth, I mean, we, we, we got to have a different conversation
- 31:13folks.
- 31:14We do because, you know, if, if I was a Ravens player and if I was there and you know, they,
- 31:22they do the whole ceremony where they drop down the banner or, or, or, or however they
- 31:27do it and they show the rings and different and what, you know, I think it might be mixing
- 31:31basketball.
- 31:32I think I'm mixing basketball for sure.
- 31:33I don't know.
- 31:34I don't know what they do, but I know they probably do something for, you know, for, for the Super
- 31:38Bowl champions.
- 31:40If I'm a Ravens player, oh, that, that's going to piss me off.
- 31:43That's going to, because in my mind that's going to, that should, that should have been
- 31:48us, right?
- 31:50And you know, that, that should make you want to, to take the extra mile for everything,
- 31:55you know, secure the tackle, make a, you know, make a play, make a block, you know, make
- 32:01an interception, get a sack, all those different types of things.
- 32:04It should make you want to go the extra mile because again, as of right now, the Chiefs
- 32:11are the Kings of the NFL.
- 32:13They are the Super Bowl champions.
- 32:14And right now the Ravens are really close to dethroning them and they can dethrone
- 32:20them.
- 32:21They have the roster to do it.
- 32:22They got, they went and got Derek Henry, which was great.
- 32:26They, you know, they drafted Nate Wiggins and also TJ Tampa.
- 32:31They have Kyle Hamilton.
- 32:32They have Roquan.
- 32:33They have Namdi, uh, uh, Meda Buque.
- 32:37They yes, he changed his name.
- 32:39So apparently yes on, on side.
- 32:42No, he's not Justin Meda Buque anymore.
- 32:44He's changing his name back to his original name, which is Namdi Meda Buque.
- 32:48Now, this is what I'll say moving, moving back to, to, um, to football, the Ravens
- 32:54have to show they have to be dominant.
- 32:58They have to come out guns blazing.
- 33:01They have to because if they don't, everyone's going to say, oh man, the Ravens are washed,
- 33:06man.
- 33:07All the things that they did in the off season was for nothing.
- 33:10They're not going to do anything.
- 33:12No, you got to come out here and you got to put Patrick Mahomes on the ground.
- 33:17Every chance that you can get make this, make this an old physical old school Ravens game.
- 33:25That's the only way that you're going to be able to go anywhere.
- 33:28You have to put Patrick Mahomes in the ground.
- 33:30You have to be in his face at all times because if you don't, if you give him a little bit
- 33:37of leeway, he's going to come back.
- 33:39We've seen it before multiple times and small games and in big games and even moments where,
- 33:45where people are doubting Patrick Mahomes.
- 33:47He always finds a way, but this Ravens defense, especially that offense, they have the weapons
- 33:53and the firepower to do something different.
- 33:57Now onto the chief side, the chiefs, you know, they're, they're in a situation where they
- 34:02could go down and be historic.
- 34:04They can be the first NFL team to win the, to do a three P, but at the same time, the
- 34:10role to the Super Bowl this year is going to be the most difficult that they've ever
- 34:16experienced this, you know, up until this point because why?
- 34:21For one, that offense, they're going to have to rely so much not only on Travis Kelsey,
- 34:27but on the run game, just to make up for the lack that they have in the receiving court.
- 34:32Right.
- 34:33You, you still don't know what's going to happen with Rashid Rice.
- 34:36You still don't know.
- 34:37You still don't know how long he's going to be suspended for.
- 34:39Some people have thrown out half a season.
- 34:42Some people have thrown out just three or four games.
- 34:44We don't know, right?
- 34:46Not to mention Hollywood Brown is, is come, is still coming off of injury as well.
- 34:51So you know that that's going to take some time to, you know, to grow and whatnot.
- 34:56Other than that, who else do you have in that receiving room that you can consistently rely
- 35:01on?
- 35:02You can't rely on juju.
- 35:04You can't, you can't rely on juju.
- 35:06Right.
- 35:07You, you could probably, you know, probably feed it to him a few times, but to say that,
- 35:12you know, you could give it to him 20, 30, 40 different times of, you know, a game.
- 35:16No, that's not where juju is at this point in his career.
- 35:20So you have that mixed with, you know, the defense, the defense has lost a lot of players,
- 35:27you know, to the off season.
- 35:28They have.
- 35:29And, you know, it's, I mean, Trent, Trent McDuffie.
- 35:34Okay.
- 35:35He's, you know, he's pretty good, but he wasn't, you know, what, what Legerius Knee was.
- 35:39And granted, the chiefs knew that they weren't going to be able to pay both Chris Jones and
- 35:44Legerius Knee.
- 35:45They knew that.
- 35:46So they, they just made a decision where, okay, we have to prioritize Chris Jones and
- 35:51just have to, you know, let go of Legerius Knee at that point.
- 35:54And that's what they did.
- 35:57Not to mention, you know, there, there's, there, there's just a lot of question marks
- 36:01for this chiefs team.
- 36:02And I feel like, you know, this is, and this is an early prediction.
- 36:05I do feel like they're going to be a little bit active, you know, by, by the trade deadline,
- 36:11just to patch up some holes and try to make some upgrades at certain positions.
- 36:15Because again, I do feel like there's going to be some receivers that are going to be
- 36:19shopped around, you know, around the trade, trade deadline.
- 36:25And I, I wouldn't be surprised if the chiefs, you know, try to dip their hand and try to
- 36:29make a move.
- 36:30I wouldn't because they know that, you know, as of right now, this receiving court, it's
- 36:34not good enough.
- 36:36It's not good enough.
- 36:37It's not, but can it, but, but can it be manageable?
- 36:40Yes, it can be manageable because why you still have Andy Reed, who could come up with
- 36:46a whole bunch of different creative plays and whatnot that can, you know, not only get
- 36:50you down the field, but it also put points on the board.
- 36:53So let's just wait and see what happens, you know, with this game.
- 36:58But again, a lot is riding on this game for both sides of the ball.
- 37:02It is.
- 37:03I feel like it's, I feel like more, more pressure is on the Raven side than it is on the chief
- 37:09side, but only time will tell.
- 37:12Now onto somewhat of a scathing, but not surprise report that's come out lately.
- 37:18So according to a Ben standing reporter for the athletic and anonymous, I can't even speak
- 37:26an anonymous agent has, has somewhat come out on the terminal that's happened within
- 37:32the New York Jets building.
- 37:35Okay.
- 37:36So this is what he said.
- 37:37And I quote, there is complete disarray over there.
- 37:40Look at how they've handled Aaron Rogers has one player had more power than him.
- 37:45He skipped many camp.
- 37:46They have been unable to convert him into a team player.
- 37:49The vibe inside the building is terrible.
- 37:52Now this is what I will say, you know, to, to this anonymous, I can't speak.
- 37:58This is difficult word, right?
- 37:59I know to the anonymous agent that has come out and said this, I don't know why you're
- 38:04not surprised, right?
- 38:06Aaron Rogers at this point, if you think that he's going to be a team player, you are sadly
- 38:11mistaken.
- 38:12Aaron Rogers is about him, him, him, him, him, him.
- 38:16Okay.
- 38:17And, you know, granted, he has, he's going to go down as one of the greatest quarterbacks
- 38:21of all time.
- 38:22And, you know, all those various accolades and all that other different type of stuff.
- 38:27But the fact of the matter is, since being traded to the Jets, he has basically wielded,
- 38:33you know, an iron fist around that team.
- 38:36And, and they have done little to nothing about it.
- 38:40They haven't, right?
- 38:42And you know, when, when we look at this, it's a nasty situation.
- 38:47It is.
- 38:48And, you know, he's basically somewhat become of a snake oil salesman.
- 38:52Hey, and he has sold this dream that basically, oh yeah.
- 38:56We're going to go to the Super Bowl.
- 38:58We're going to do this, that and the other blah, blah, blah.
- 39:00There's different type of stuff.
- 39:01We're going to be great.
- 39:02We're going to be competitive.
- 39:03We're going to be the Jets, J-E-T-S-Jets.
- 39:06No.
- 39:07Stop.
- 39:08Get some help.
- 39:10Drink some water because you're lying.
- 39:12You're lying.
- 39:13Let's call it for what it, let's call a spade, a spade here, folks.
- 39:17This, this has been a shit show with this whole acquisition of Aaron Rogers.
- 39:24It has been because you, it's always been about him.
- 39:30The spotlight always has to been about him.
- 39:33And you know, at this point, Robert Silas is going to lose his job because of Aaron
- 39:40Rogers.
- 39:41That's just what it is.
- 39:42He's going to lose his job because of Aaron Rogers, because Aaron Rogers ignorance and
- 39:48inability to be a team player and try to change, you know, his, his perception that, that a
- 39:55lot of people have about him.
- 39:58It, it is just a horrible situation.
- 40:02It really is.
- 40:03I can't even really come up with the words about it because it's like, he is really,
- 40:07you know, selling it like, oh, yeah, we're competitive.
- 40:10Yeah, we're going to be great.
- 40:12This than the other.
- 40:13And then you have quotes of like, we have to, you know, eliminate the BS out of the,
- 40:20you know, out of the building one now.
- 40:22Well, if the shoe fits where it, because if I'm not mistaken, there's only one person
- 40:27that's really been bringing in the BS and that's been you, Aaron.
- 40:30It's been nobody else.
- 40:31It's been you.
- 40:33It's been specifically you, no one else.
- 40:37And you know, everyone is, is trying to come together, try to be competitive and try to
- 40:42actually do something different than what the normal jets teams have done in the past.
- 40:49And you and everyone is looking to you because you've been there.
- 40:53You've won a Lombardi.
- 40:54You've experienced the confetti.
- 40:56You've experienced holding a Lombardi trophy.
- 40:58You experienced all those different emotions and feelings and what now when you win a championship,
- 41:05they have it.
- 41:06They're trying to experience it and they know that, listen, you are the only person that
- 41:11can take us to that point.
- 41:13And they trust you enough that you are going to do it.
- 41:16And so far you have not done it.
- 41:18Now granted, I can't really, I can't get on him as much last year simply because he got
- 41:25hurt that, that, that was out of his control, right?
- 41:29But at the end of the day, there should have been a different mindset, a different tone.
- 41:34Just everything should have been different after last season.
- 41:39It just should have been different.
- 41:40And it hasn't.
- 41:42And you know, I would not be surprised that once this whole Aaron Rodgers dream, because
- 41:48that's exactly what it is.
- 41:50It's nothing else.
- 41:51It's just a dream.
- 41:52I think once this is over with, I think you're going to see a lot of reports from anonymous
- 41:58players and, you know, people within the front office and, you know, just people within that
- 42:04jets locker room, front office, wherever management, wherever, you're going to hear a lot of the
- 42:10scavenging, scathing reports about Aaron Rodgers.
- 42:13You are because he's, he's just, he, he's just moving to the beat of his own drum.
- 42:20And I granted, you know, at this point of his career, you know, he can have a little
- 42:23bit of leeway and whatnot.
- 42:25But if you want to set a different tone, if you want to set a different culture, if you
- 42:30want to change, if you want to have people have a different mindset, then you have to
- 42:34be the person to do it because you're the quarterback and people look to the quarterback
- 42:39to change things.
- 42:40Right.
- 42:41And if you're just, you know, coming off as lackadaisical, non salon, not really giving
- 42:48a care about, you know, about trying to win or let alone just be competitive, then guess
- 42:55what?
- 42:56It's going to show and it's showing.
- 42:59It's showing.
- 43:00And, you know, maybe, maybe things change.
- 43:05Maybe the, maybe the, the, the switch, you know, changes, you know, once the season starts,
- 43:10I don't know.
- 43:11But the fact of the matter is I'm not surprised that something like this has come out and
- 43:16I would not be surprised if more stuff comes out before Thanksgiving.
- 43:21I would not be surprised.
- 43:22Now on to dabbosweenie.
- 43:24Yes, we're, we're doing something with college football.
- 43:27We finally decided, well, I finally decided to do some with college football simply because
- 43:32it's college football.
- 43:33I mean, NFL football is great, but we, who was a lot, there's a lot going on with, with
- 43:40college football.
- 43:41So dabbosweenie, you know, head coach for, for Clemson basically just got a viscerated.
- 43:46I'm talking about a viscerated by Georgia this past weekend.
- 43:53And you know, a lot of Clemson, you know, fans are really pissed.
- 43:58Oh, they, they want, they want dabbos, they want dabbos front and center.
- 44:05I'm talking about bringing him here.
- 44:08He must go immediately.
- 44:10They lost to Georgia 34 to three, 34 to three.
- 44:17That scoreline right there is a scoreline of basically the older cousin being the younger
- 44:22cousin.
- 44:23Okay.
- 44:24That's basically what it is.
- 44:25And this is horrible.
- 44:27Okay.
- 44:28So they, these, these just a few notes that, that I decided to, to jot down before, before
- 44:34we get into the, you know, the meat and potatoes about this particular topic.
- 44:38So as of right now, dabbosweenie has a, has 170 wins, 44 loss record, eight, eight ACC
- 44:47championships and two national championships, both in 2016 and 2018 hasn't appeared in the
- 44:52playoffs since 2020, he has a buyout according to the spot rack of 60 million in both this
- 44:58year and next year.
- 45:00He's you know, he's, he came to speak, he's had multiple players, you know, come out
- 45:06and be successful to Sean Watson, Trevor Lawrence, Mike Williams, T Higgins, Justin
- 45:10Ross, Hunter Renfrow, Travis, ETN, just to name a few.
- 45:15And you know, Clemson has not started a single transfer player in the portal era.
- 45:21And you know, they were the only team to not add a transfer this off season.
- 45:25So when we look all, when we look at all of this, this is what I will say.
- 45:31And this, this is, you know what, this is a perfect analogy to run with it.
- 45:34You ever know, or you ever, you ever heard the, the analogy, if it's not broke, don't
- 45:39fix it.
- 45:41That's what dabbosweenie is.
- 45:43If it's not broke, don't fix it.
- 45:45Right.
- 45:46And you know, for the longest time, you know, during, during the 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018,
- 45:52you know, he was, he was at the top.
- 45:54He was at the top of his game.
- 45:55He was the Krim De La Krim.
- 45:57You know, Clemson was a place that a lot of people wanted to go to.
- 46:00A lot of people, you know, switched their, their transfers and I mean, they're not transfer,
- 46:06switched their commitments from other colleges and went to Clemson.
- 46:08Well, not just because of the notoriety and the aura and those different types of things,
- 46:14but now it's basically become stacked in, you know, and it shows, it definitely shows.
- 46:19And granted, I understand Georgia is the, is, you know, one of the best college football,
- 46:23you know, teams, you know, in, in college football, I get all that.
- 46:27But at the same time, 34 to three, 34 to three D, uh, Dabbo, that's not good.
- 46:34That's not good, bro.
- 46:35That's horrible.
- 46:36That's absolutely atrocious.
- 46:40And you know, if, if I'm a Clemson fan, I would, I would right, uh, rightfully be upset
- 46:45because since, since Trevor Lawrence was the quarterback, they have not done anything,
- 46:52anything, and that's horrible.
- 46:55You, you are living in, in an era now where the transfer portal is basically your best
- 47:02friend if you're a coach, right?
- 47:04And you have to rely sometimes on the transfer portal and I get it.
- 47:08I understand that you don't want to do different things and change might be different and all
- 47:12those different types of things.
- 47:14I get that.
- 47:15But at some point you have to adapt to the changing times.
- 47:19And if you do not adapt to the changing times, you yourself are going to be stagnant and then
- 47:24you are going to fail.
- 47:27And that is what happened with Clemson, right?
- 47:30Because remember Clemson used to be a almost, uh, a factory and I'm talking about, they used
- 47:36to produce multiple first rounders and you know, high quality, you know, players now
- 47:41do, did all those players, you know, pan out?
- 47:43No, not really, but that's another story for another day though.
- 47:48But you know, but when we look at it now, it's just, it's everything has just become
- 47:53stagnant with them.
- 47:55Both sides of the ball.
- 47:57I wouldn't be surprised if they're still running the same offense that they did in 2016 and
- 48:012018.
- 48:02I would not be surprised.
- 48:03I just wouldn't.
- 48:04I have to make some changes at some point.
- 48:07And you know, to the people that would say, well, what about Nick Saban and what, what
- 48:14is that?
- 48:15The reason why he left Alabama?
- 48:16No, the reason why that he left is because he realized and he knew that he could not
- 48:22do his job effectively with the NIO and with the structure of the NIO in place.
- 48:29He knew that he knew that I can't, I can't do my job as a coach.
- 48:34And try to bring the best out of these players when, when all we're talking about is money.
- 48:41Right.
- 48:42And, you know, you're having, when you're having players who have NIO deals where,
- 48:47you know, they're getting five or six million a year or better yet, there is an NIO deal
- 48:53and I'm not lying when I say this.
- 48:55I think he is the quarterback for Ole Miss.
- 48:58He literally gets a private jet to go to any of the college games if you wanted to.
- 49:06I'm going to say that again, just in case, just in case you didn't hear.
- 49:09Right.
- 49:10I'm going to get a little bit closer to the mic so you can hear me.
- 49:12Okay.
- 49:13There is a quarterback from not mistaken at Ole Miss, Ole Miss, who has an NIO deal
- 49:21where he gets a private jet to go to any of the college football games.
- 49:26Now, if you're someone like, like coach Saban, who coaches hard and, you know, emphasizes
- 49:33on hard work and, you know, all those different types of things, you would lose it.
- 49:40You would lose it because it's like, bro, I can't, what makes you, what, what makes
- 49:45you different from everybody else?
- 49:48Nothing.
- 49:49Nothing.
- 49:50And, you know, it's frustrating.
- 49:52So either way you look at it, you know, I think Clemson.
- 49:56I think Clemson is in a point where they can still go back to being that competitive
- 50:01team they used to give, not only teams like Alabama and LSU and Georgia and other other
- 50:08power, you know, power five schools problems, but I think they could definitely be dominant,
- 50:13you know, in their own conference, but it has to start from the top.
- 50:18And Dabble Sweeney, you know, has the power and the leverage to make those type of changes.
- 50:23And if you are not willing to make those changes, well, then guess what?
- 50:26You are still going to be stagnant and then you're basically going to be pressured to,
- 50:32you know, to just, to just get the buyout and go at this point.
- 50:36That's basically where we're starting to get to because when you've, when you saw, you
- 50:42know, that 2016 Clemson team and especially that 2018 Clemson team, those were, those
- 50:47were a dynamic, you know, great, you know, college football teams.
- 50:54And just to see that fall from grace just happening, it's, it's bad.
- 50:58It's really bad.
- 50:59And, you know, that's probably why Nick Saban, you know, left when he left because he probably,
- 51:05he probably saw like, listen, between the NIL deals and everything that's coming with
- 51:10that, it's probably going to be hard.
- 51:11And granted, he was somebody that, that was for, you know, players getting compensated
- 51:17and whatnot, but the, the, the wildness that in somewhat of a, not cowboy, but just the,
- 51:25the, the dysfunction of the NIL structure is just so bad at this point that when you
- 51:32have a coach like Nick Saban, who, you know, is, is somewhat old school, it can definitely,
- 51:40it can be hard because it's like, bruh, how in the world can you try to convince a kid
- 51:45to, you know, to, to, to come to practice on time, you know, do the drills, go to, you
- 51:50know, go to class and all those different types of things when he's got an NIL deal
- 51:55where he gets in, where he gets a new car and, you know, he's making about two or three million
- 51:59dollars a year.
- 52:00Right.
- 52:01Like that's, that's going to be hard.
- 52:05That's going to be really hard to do.
- 52:08And that's where we are right now.
- 52:11And that's why you see certain coaches like Diaboswini who have become stagnant and, you
- 52:17know, are regressing instead of progressing.
- 52:20And at some point they're probably going to be kicked out.
- 52:23Not surprised.
- 52:24He'll, he'll go down as, you know, as, as if not the best Clemson coach of all time,
- 52:28one of the best Clemson coaches of all time.
- 52:30But, you know, at some point you got to get to the end of the road.
- 52:34You know, if, if I could play Jodicy into the road, I would play it right now, but don't
- 52:39want to get sued for that.
- 52:40So we're not going to do it, but moving on to the final topic though.
- 52:44Yes, we have to talk about the bangles, the bungles.
- 52:48Yes, the bungles, the bungles.
- 52:51Yes.
- 52:52So apparently things are still in, in a somewhat of a crapshoot between the bangles and Jamar
- 53:00Chase.
- 53:01And Jamar Chase is still looking for a deal, but you know, it's been really stagnant.
- 53:09This is what I will say.
- 53:10Do I think a deal could probably get done within the next 48, you know, 72 hours, probably
- 53:15before game day?
- 53:16Yes, it can.
- 53:17It's happened before.
- 53:19It's happened multiple times.
- 53:20But do I think, do I think the bangles have their feet, you know, have their feet in the
- 53:26sand and then basically drawn their line and basically let it be known that they're not
- 53:30going to do it?
- 53:31Yes, I do believe that.
- 53:33But at some point, you know, if you're, if you're Jamar Chase, you just have to, it
- 53:39is what it is.
- 53:41It is what it is that that's the mindset that you have to have at this point, because if
- 53:45you don't, you, you're not only going to hurt yourself, but you're also going to hurt the
- 53:51team as well because they need Jamar Chase on, on the field.
- 53:56They need him.
- 53:57If Jamar Chase is not in that field, that is a whole different bangles game.
- 54:01I mean, a whole different bangles team and you don't want that.
- 54:05You do not want that.
- 54:06So I say all that to say this, you know, is, is Jamar Chase, you know, trying to reset
- 54:12the market?
- 54:13He probably is trying to reset the market, but if I'm the bangles, I'm not about to do
- 54:17that.
- 54:18No, I'm not about to do that, especially when I just did it for Joe Burrow.
- 54:22No, I'm not doing that.
- 54:23Sure.
- 54:24I'll probably, I'll pay you in the pain range of between brand IEUIC and who was the person
- 54:30that just got paid.
- 54:31Who was the person that just got paid?
- 54:32I know someone just got paid.
- 54:33I just, and seeding lamb, I'll probably pay you in that range, but to say that I'm going
- 54:37to pay you, you know, this crazy amount of money, like more than what, you know, Justin
- 54:42Jefferson is getting.
- 54:43No, I'm not doing that.
- 54:44And I would definitely support that because Jamar Chase is not better than Justin Jefferson.
- 54:49He's not, not even by a mile is he better than Justin Jefferson.
- 54:55Come on, man.
- 54:56What are we talking about?
- 54:57So, you know, it's, it's, it's just a very difficult situation.
- 55:02It's a very rocky situation, especially when you have Zach Taylor, who essentially put
- 55:06his foot in his own mouth and say, Oh yeah, Jamar Chase is going to practice.
- 55:09Oh yeah.
- 55:10He's, he's definitely going to be here for practice.
- 55:12And then guess what?
- 55:13The next day, guess what Jamar Chase did?
- 55:14He came there late and in street clothes.
- 55:18So after that, Zach Taylor was like, you know what?
- 55:21I'm not going to say anything.
- 55:23I'm just going to wait and see just like everybody else is doing.
- 55:26So maybe, maybe not.
- 55:29But who knows?
- 55:30Because even when we look at Spirox market value for Jamar Chase, it's only at 31 million.
- 55:36Right.
- 55:37So what they have for him is a three year, $93 million deal, which like I just said is
- 55:4231 million.
- 55:43So roughly, you know, 31, that's still a really good number.
- 55:47It really is.
- 55:48And even then, if the Bengals wanted to, they could front load the deal.
- 55:52There's so many different ways that they could structure this deal.
- 55:54So, you know, the longer that this thing draws out, the worse it sort of looks like on both
- 56:01parties, but at the same time, you know, it's, it's a difficult situation because guess what?
- 56:07If you pay Jamar Chase, then, you know, you're definitely going to limit yourself, you know,
- 56:13moving forward.
- 56:15You are.
- 56:16And, you know, I don't know if the Bengals want to do that.
- 56:19I think the Bengals still want to be competitive without having to, you know, reset the market
- 56:24for this person, that person.
- 56:25But at the same time, even though I keep going in and out and contradicting myself sometimes,
- 56:32this is the price that you pay when you draft superstars.
- 56:35Right.
- 56:36Jamar Chase, superstar, Joe Burrow.
- 56:39Star.
- 56:40Star.
- 56:41Not superstar.
- 56:42Just star.
- 56:43You didn't hear from me.
- 56:46But moving forward, you know, that's, that's what happens.
- 56:49The case in point, that's why they had to let go of Joe Mixing because, you know, the,
- 56:54the price tag for the offense started getting a little bit expensive and, you know, it's
- 56:59just a nasty situation.
- 57:00But you know what?
- 57:01I wouldn't be surprised by the time I'm done with this episode and I'm starting to edit
- 57:04this episode.
- 57:05Guess what's going to happen?
- 57:06Jamar Chase, Inc.
- 57:07I would not be surprised.
- 57:09And if that happens, I am going to cry.
- 57:13But I want to end it here.

- 58:36I love you guys.
- 58:37I appreciate you guys so much.
- 58:39Stay tuned.
- 58:40There might be another episode that might be coming out this week.
- 58:43I, I, it's starting to look like a lot of teams are beginning to finalize, um, you know,
- 58:49finals and trying to create some cat space prior to the season starting.
- 58:53So it's a wait and see.
- 58:55You're still got a lot of people that want to get paid.
- 58:57Who knows.
- 58:58Still got a lot of notable free agents that are out here as well.
- 59:01Who knows?
- 59:02Who knows?
- 59:04But as always, I love you guys.
- 59:06I appreciate you guys so much.
- 59:08Thank you again for listening.
- 59:10Peace and love.
- 59:11I'm out.
- 59:12I would say if there wasn't a breaking news of a bag alert, well, just as I was getting
- 59:21ready to get up and start recording and whatnot, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 59:27Someone just had to get paid.
- 59:28So guess who just got paid folks?
- 59:31Guess who I just got another baggler.
- 59:34Sam Cosme guard for the commanders.
- 59:37Disagree on a four year deal waiting on the numbers to drop.
- 59:41But you know, all in all, Sam, Sam Cosme has definitely been a consistent guard since being
- 59:47with the commanders.
- 59:49All in all, just a great, you know, just a great situation.
- 59:53Honestly, I guarantee you the numbers are nothing like, you know, super crazy and whatnot.
- 59:58They're probably, you know, pretty reasonable and whatnot.
- 1:00:00But, you know, all in all, they definitely needed to take care of their offense linemen.
- 1:00:06And, you know, if we can be real here, Sam Cosme has probably been their best offensive
- 1:00:11linemen, you know, so far.
- 1:00:14So I mean, well, you might as well take care of him now than to try to, you know, try to
- 1:00:19fight tooth and nail to bring him back in, you know, through, through free agency and
- 1:00:23whatnot.
- 1:00:24So all in all, great situation.
- 1:00:26But just know this when those numbers do drop.
- 1:00:28I will either post them on the story on our Instagram football underscore junkies pod.
- 1:00:32Again, that's football underscore junkies pod.
- 1:00:35Or I'll just talk about them in the next episode.
- 1:00:38So now this is where we ended.
- 1:00:40Okay, this is where we've hit the hour mark.
- 1:00:42Okay, this is it.
- 1:00:43We're done.
- 1:00:44We're done.
- 1:00:45Peace and love.
- 1:00:46I love you guys.
- 1:00:47I appreciate you guys so much.
- 1:00:48All that other stuff, blah, blah, blah.
- 1:00:49I'm out.
- 1:00:50Peace.
