Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Man in America, and welcome to this special Saturday evening broadcast. So riots have broken out across China after a video of people burning to death while sealed in their homes under COVID quarantine went viral. Chinese citizens have been taken to the streets and are surrounding government buildings in anger. But what happens when a population has been pushed to its limit, to the point when people no longer fear death? Could this be the black swan event that could finally bring down the tyrannical CCP?
• 0:34
Or are things about to get a whole lot worse in China and beyond? So folks, joining us today is Alan Zhang, someone who's been fearlessly exposing the crimes of the Chinese Communist Party for decades. He runs Sound of Hope, the largest independent Chinese radio network in the world, which broadcasts twenty four hours a day into Mainland China, allowing the Chinese people access to vital information that's free of communist propaganda. And Alan has some critical insights that are gonna help us understand the significance of what's currently unfolding in China. But before we get started, make sure you're following me on Telegram, Truth Social, and Gab at Man in America, and Twitter at Man in America US.

You can also catch every episode as a podcast if you just wanna listen. The links to my podcast and social media are all in the description below, or just search for Man in America in your favorite podcast app and make sure you leave us a five star rating. It really helps me to reach more people. Also, folks, food prices are going up. Energy prices are going up.
• 1:31
Gas prices are going up. Inflation's not going away anytime soon. Right now, the real rate of inflation is closer to 25%, not the 8% the White House wants you to believe. You can see this with your own eyes and in your own wallet. What this means is that if you had a hundred thousand dollars in your savings account just one year ago, today, it's only worth about $75,000 in terms of your actual buying power.
• 1:54
Your money is losing value by the day. If you went back to 1920, and you had a $20 bill or a one ounce gold coin, you could walk into a men's clothing store and buy an entire suit, jacket, shoes, pants, belt, everything. But think about it. What would a $20 bill buy you today? Some socks, a handkerchief, but an ounce of gold will still buy you that same suit.
• 2:16
And this is why I believe that now more than ever, it's a good time to consider transferring at least some of your wealth into physical gold and silver. Real world assets have stood the test of time. And for this, I'm confident in recommending doctor Kirk Elliott. Kirk Elliott has two PhDs and is an incredible Christian patriot who's dedicated to helping you break free from the trap of inflation. You can buy gold and silver directly even in small amounts, or you can transfer your IRA into physical gold and silver with zero taxes or penalties.
• 2:46
Kirk Kelly is who I use. He's who my family and friends use, and he's someone who I trust completely. And when it comes to your wealth, you need someone you can trust. So to learn more, open up a new tab right now and go to goldwithseth.com or call (720) 605-3900 to speak to a real person right now. Kirk Elliott's team will answer all of your questions and take care of you every step of the way.
• 3:10
Again, that's (720) 605-3900 or gold with seth dot com. Alright, folks. Let's go ahead and start it. So I am extremely honored to have Alan joining me today. And as I mentioned, he is someone who has been on the front lines fighting communism for decades, even before people in America realized how important it was to stand up against communism in China.
• 3:35
And he's gonna really help us understand what's happening right now in China and how it's gonna affect the whole world. So, Alan, thank you so much. It's such a pleasure to have you here today. Yeah. Hi, Seth.
• 3:46
  Thank you for inviting me.
• 3:48
Speaker 2: And hi, everyone. Glad to be here.
• 3:52
Speaker 1: Don't you just give us just a quick introduction to Sound of Hope and and the work that you've done to really help the Chinese people free themselves from communism? Because it's it's very important work that you're doing.
• 4:05
Speaker 2: Yeah. Thank you. So actually, I came to United States not as a media person. I came here as a computer science, how to say, graduate student. So I went to graduate school here, got my degree, I went to Silicon Valley, and I wanted to have my own high-tech company.
• 4:22
That was that was always my dream. But so my life just take a turn. So I just founded this media, so I called this accidental media. So it started as a public radio in San Francisco Bay Area. Then it grew across the nation and we're broadcasting in 13 countries, U.
• 4:46
  S. Metropolitan areas. But what's most important, this thing, is that we build a shortwave radio network, more than 120 around the border of China would blast information into China. So when you do shortwave radio, you broadcast, they broadcast on the same frequency, right? They just cancel you out.
• 5:07
So this is like a battle in the air. So we actually managed to use high-tech and the traditional radio technology to win that battle. Our signal goes into China without being jammed. They cannot jam us. So it's a little beyond truthful, you know, beyond belief.
• 5:27
People say they broadcast to the same focus. How can you survive it? Yes, but we are able to. In China, you have yeah.
• 5:34
Speaker 1: So basically, so you're using you've built this network of radio towers around the border of China, and you're using shortwave technology with other technology that allows you to get this information into China free of censorship because
• 5:48
  Speaker 3: Yep.
• 5:49
Speaker 1: Which is incredible because we know that the the CCP, their greatest threat is the information that from the West, the information about freedom, the truth about the Chinese Communist Party. So how many people in China do you think listen to the radio station, the radio information you're broadcasting into there?
• 6:04
Speaker 2: We don't have we cannot have accurate number. Our estimate is 20 to 40,000,000 people in China listening to us. And we are the largest shortwave broadcaster in the world. We're bigger than Voice of America, Radio Free Asia. And actually, I cannot review too much, but we help them get into China.
• 6:27
And not only our own program, we help them to get into China because we have the technology, we understand how to beat the jamming. And yeah, the reason why I did that is because out of some accident, I discovered the problem of the media, the Chinese media in The United States. They are doing just self censoring. So because of that, I kind of like switching to media just on a hobby way and then become more and more real. And then finally, I changed my career basically to media.
• 7:05
And we build a public radio network in The US and public radio network targeting China. And actually, we have very strong, how to say, anti firewall technology. Our information can go through the firewall of Chinese government into China. Also very, very hard to stop. So not just me, of course, it's just, you know, a group of people who are very dedicated and who gave a lot, who some of them gave up high salary in order to bring free information to China.
• 7:38
That's sort of my background. Yeah.
• 7:39
Speaker 1: Incredible. It's so important. And so obviously, you get a lot of information coming back out to you as well. And Yeah. You know, to the you know, if the folks are watching, you know, Alan's one of the people that ISONize will call and say, Alan, can you please help me understand what's happening in China?
• 7:52
Because Alan usually has really good insights. And so, you know, over the past couple of days, I've seen a story evolving of something very significant in China, and I've got a few videos I'm gonna show. So the first one I'm show is setting up the stage for what happened. There's a there's a building that caught fire. And, you know, buildings catch fire all the time, but this first video I'm gonna bring up here shows how the residents were locked into their buildings.
• 8:17
And so this is really, really key. So let me go and play. This is over in China, and let me pull this up for folks watching here. And I apologize for those who are listening on the podcast. Some of the videos that we're playing are either in Chinese, I can't do simultaneous translation, or they're just really a scene of something happening.
• 8:33
And so if you're listening on podcast, I encourage you to go over to Rumble to watch this video. So let me go and play this right here. Look at this guy is saying.
• 8:50
Speaker 2: Yeah. You see that they lock the door. We have no way to run out. So there's a lock it up. 70 people are locked in.
• 9:10
And you know, there's no answer. They don't give an answer why why they locked the door in that way.
• 9:17
Speaker 1: So, basically, these are people that, as part of the Chinese quarantine I remember we saw videos of this coming out of them welding doors shut as their way of controlling the spread of COVID. But then Yeah. The video that went viral, and this is a video that the Chinese tried really difficult to stop going viral, was a building, one of these buildings where these people were locked into their apartments that caught fire. And I'm gonna play this next next video, and I'll warn the viewers, it's nothing graphic, just a fire, but you can hear the people screaming because they're locked into their apartments. The people that are recording it are sobbing.
• 9:52
So it is a little bit difficult of a video to watch, but I think that it's important. So let me go and play this next video here.
• 10:21
Speaker 2: Literally burning to death face the
• 10:26
Speaker 1: Yeah. So people that are screaming and saying, help us save us, we can't get out. And so and this is just this just seemed to be the match that got thrown onto a pile of gasoline soaked wood. Because what we're seeing now, and I have some more videos, is that we're seeing massive protests all across China. So I'll play another video here.
• 10:47
This helps understand what's happening. And keep in mind that, you know, China is not a place like, look at what happened with the Tiananmen Square massacre, you know, for a very long time. And Alan, you can comment on this after this this video. People would not just go protest like this. This is very significant.
• 11:03
So let me go and play this next video here. And also, just to add, the numbers that I saw coming out so far was that that fire caused nearly 50 people burned to death. I think that the most recent number I saw was forty four, including some children, people that burned to death in their their apartments. And so, Alan, what do you make of what's happening over there right now?
• 11:53
Speaker 2: Yeah. This fire just happened just a couple of days ago. This is in Ulumuchi. It's a western city in the Xinjiang Province, Northeast China. So basically, the fire is happening on the 20 First Floor and then eventually burned to the 20 Sixth Floor.
• 12:10
And the fire station is half a mile away, okay? Only half a mile away. And it took three hours to put out that fire. So what happened? Because of three reasons, okay?
• 12:22
First, as the fire truck moving in, this is half a mile, remember, okay? They're moving in, there's all kinds of iron fence outside of the community. So the firemen spend time to pull them, you know, just pull them out, not to just put out a fire. So after that, along the way, on the corridor, there are so many, the hallway, there are so many parked cars. Because of the quarantine, the car has been there for ninety days, one hundred and twenty days, they are out of power.
• 12:53
And their owner, maybe they are quarantined, they are locked up, so nobody can move. Nobody has a key. Even you have a key, the car doesn't start. They have to carry those cars one by one out of the way of the fire truck. Okay?
• 13:06
That's the second reason. Finally, the fire truck come in and put out the fire. And then as people run out, that's what the stat you just showed us, okay? They can only go up. They cannot run down because the door is locked.
• 13:18
Why the door was locked? Because they said, you know, we need to put out the virus, okay? So nobody will have to stay home. And we're afraid that you won't be willing to stay at home, so we'll lock it up so that you got no chance to come out. You stay home so that we can stop the virus to death.
• 13:34
That's sort of the theory of the Chinese government. So because of that, they don't hesitate to lock doors like this. All of which, This is happening all over China. And a fire like this happening in many places. This is only the case that, Seth, you got a hold of the video.
• 13:51
It happened when the viral, and then we got a chance to see that. There's many other fire incidents, just disasters like this, you don't get to see. But it's very natural, right? A building could catch fire, and the fire trucks cannot move in, and the door is always locked. And then the government, as of now, they said ten people died, nine people got hurt.
• 14:13
As you said, the death tolls keep increasing, how to say, by word-of-mouth. The government don't recognize that. Actually, one source I got is forty four people died, two eighty eight people were harmed or were hurt. But the regime will never say that. They're going to say 19 people altogether.
• 14:33
That's it. Okay? They can control the number because they own the media. They can you know, they own the narrative. They just define what happened.
• 14:43
They define the reality. But now because of the mobile phone, because of the Internet, social media, things spread really fast. So this is just one thing that happened in Northeast China. But what's most important now is actually now is I'm very glad, Seth, you talk about this matter now, okay? Because this could be a boundary point Going forward from this point on and so this incident, when it spread on the Internet, people are really, really mad.
• 15:09
On the same city, people start to break out of their community. They just took to the street. They said, No, we demand stop this ceiling thing. Okay? They called COR, stop the ceiling.
• 15:22
And then the the next day, it spread to the capital of China, Beijing. More than 100 communities in Beijing, they just disregard whatever orders. They just came out and took to the street and they just how to say? They just break the seal off by themselves. And the third thing what happened is in Shanghai, the biggest city in Shanghai, which was sealed off for four months.
• 15:47
And in Shanghai, there's all kinds of the streets are named by various cities in China, okay? And on this particular city I'm sorry, particular street, the name of the street is called, guess what, Ulumuchi. So people went to that street which bear the name of the city that just had this fire fiasco. And then they just went there and protest. And then that's the first time they shouted, say, Down with the CCP, down with the Xi Jinping.
• 16:15
You know, in America, we don't see this big deal. Okay? You can always how to say curse or damn your president. You know, this is freedom of speech in China. That's basically, you know, you you you can go to jail, you can be killed.
• 16:28
Speaker 1: Actually, I've got a video. I think I think this is a video that we that came out of this. Yeah.
• 16:32
  Speaker 2: I had a message. Mhmm.
• 16:50
Speaker 1: It's obviously I don't understand what they're what they're yelling, but people that were sharing these videos were saying that that was one of many videos where they're they're taking to the streets, and they're actually chanting, as you mentioned, down with the CCP, down with Xi Jinping. Now, obviously, as we know here in America, you know, I could say something bad about Joe Biden if I want to. It's not a bad issue. Right? People are out protesting all the time.
• 17:12
What is the significance of the people, the the citizens of China taking to the streets and actually calling for the end of the Communist Party? What does this mean?
• 17:23
Speaker 2: Yeah. It means jail sentence. It could mean death. Okay? That's how serious it is.
• 17:29
In China, there's no chance, they have zero tolerance for you to, how to say, for you to openly protest against the, well, so called supreme leader or the party. They have to making sure everybody just praised the party and support the party, however you're thinking in your mind, but you have to say, you support the party. And that's how they can keep the regime. And for people not to do that, they have to overcome a huge amount of fear, okay, because the prospect of you can go to jail, you can lose your life, and it's just enough to prevent you from saying anything. So over the past seven decades, okay, Chinese people were persecuted so much that they learned to, how to say, grow this extraordinary capability of tolerating, forbearing.
• 18:22
They just internalize everything. Now is sort of why I say this is a boundary point. After three years, three years, you are locked up and you cannot yeah. Just two days ago, a a a person from China described to me that white people would jump out of window, jump to their death. There's all kinds of video like this.
• 18:42
Yeah. Absolutely. Very hard. Yeah. He described the mentality, white people do that.
• 18:47
Okay? When you don't know how you can live tomorrow and then tomorrow you don't know how to live the day after, that kind of stress drives you crazy. So after three years, I would say the suppression, the locked up, the how to say? Yeah, the coalition, everything like those things, how to spend your life in a very strange way. And, you know, to many, many people, enough is enough, even though they have extraordinary way of capability to tolerate.
• 19:22
But when it really, really when it comes to so much, they could break, This is what happened or what it
• 19:28
Speaker 1: was the the Chinese people because, you know, we again, we had, you know, lockdowns here in America, which means that maybe your coffee shop you like is closed or something like that. But, you know, for them, it meant that their grandmother is starving to death in her apartment alone. They can't even take food to her because she's sealed into the apartment. Or like, it's it's really draconian lockdown. It's, in my opinion, it's the worst country in the world in terms of how they've handled COVID.
• 19:55
And the fact that they've carried it on, and they're still pushing for the zero COVID policy, which it's still continuing. Life, for the most part, seems back to normal in America and the rest of the world. And so if I understand correctly, it's like the Chinese people, they've tolerated, tolerated, tolerated, but their life for the past couple of years became worse than death. And when people no longer fear death, they had nothing to fear. And is that what we're seeing now?
• 20:21
Because you mentioned that, yeah, normally, if, let's just say, couple years ago, if someone went onto the street, and they shouted down with the CCP, they would disappear. There's a good chance that they would been, you know, put into a black prison. They'd have their organs harvested, etcetera. But so now we're seeing I mean, how significant is this? Because now we're seeing crowds of thousands and thousands of Chinese and potentially millions across China taking to the streets like this.
• 20:50
What does this mean? I mean, what what's it mean for the CCP?
• 20:54
Speaker 2: Well, it means say CCP would be very, very nervous now because they know that they are being able to govern because people just comply. If mass people don't comply, they will be in big trouble. So you can easily predict what they will be next, okay? They will have a very harsh hand. They need to stomp it out at this time.
• 21:19
They cannot be soft. They cannot say, Oh, sorry, we did it wrong. This zero COVID policy doesn't seem to be working. They won't do that. They're going to double down, triple down.
• 21:31
And that's what they're going to do because that's the way of their governing. They just need to suppress it and so that people then use media to make people forget about it. Life moves on. But no, this only grow the, how to say, grow the anger and the grunge people have, and they can get away for one year, two years, three years, or even seventy years. Eventually, cannot get away.
• 22:00
  Reckoning.
• 22:01
Speaker 1: Yeah. Okay. It's it's I think that Tiananmen Square is a good example of, you know, they let the people protest to a certain point, but when it reached that limit, they had to crack down. We saw, you know, a lot of video footage, you know, tank man. We we know I I studied that extensively too.
• 22:16
It's thousands and thousands of innocent people were slaughtered at that time. So do you think that these riots, which seem to be only building steam, that you're saying the only response that the CCP has is to double down? So do you think that we're gonna start to see violence and potentially them murdering their own citizens on the streets the same way that we saw in Tiananmen Square?
• 22:38
Speaker 2: It won't be like that. Okay? They are already murdering people, okay? But in secret. You already see some video of how they arrest those people because they have all kinds of monitoring system and so many cameras.
• 22:52
They got like 40,000,000 cameras all over China. They're able to track down who are the vocal people, okay? They're to sneak in and arrest them and make them disappear. And on the surface, they still try to paint a rosy picture. You know, yes, generally they got away with that before, okay?
• 23:12
But with such a how to say it? The range from the entire people of the country, okay? Yeah, I think they may not be able to get away this time because people won't stop. They won't just go back to the normal life. So we'll see.
• 23:31
What's going to happen next will be very interesting.
• 23:34
Speaker 1: Do you think that this could be the beginning of the downfall of the CCP?
• 23:41
Speaker 2: I think it's likely, it's quite likely. I would suggest people pay attention to what will happen in the next few weeks, okay? Pay close attention. I cannot say for sure that this is a downfall of the party, but it's likely, okay? Because three years the reason why they carry out this zero COVID, people just say, Are you nuts?
• 24:06
This is just a cold. This is just a flu type of thing. The policy itself is so ridiculous, okay? Because in beginning, in the 2020, they're able to use the very harsh lockdown measure. They're able to control the death toll and then stop the spreading of the virus.
• 24:24
And then they say, Wow, we did better than The US. We did better than Europe. The conclusion is we're the best political system in the world. CCP is the best. Then when Omicron came, which is much, much more infectious and much, much less threatening, but they already put themselves into a frame.
• 24:45
They say that we are superior, our approach is right. We have to insist on this and it becomes a political stake. Okay? Xi Jinping has to insist that this is right. This is demonstrated way better than the capitalist country of US and UK and a country like that.
• 25:03
So just in order to prove they are right, they cannot let loose, let go of this zero COVID policy. And in this absurdity, okay, people come to realize that. This is just a code. When the World Cup matches happening over there, 80,000 people in one stadium with no mask. Every person in China has a mask.
• 25:26
They're saying that are we on the same planet? Because Chinese people, they love soccer. They love soccer way more than people in this country love. So they see those, the match, they see the audience. They say, What's going on here?
• 25:41
It's not more and more people realize how absurd the policy is. And then coupled with the starving, cannot go to hospital, and then with this fire, this fiasco, people dead, you know, just crying while they're burning to death. And enough is enough, basically. So enough is enough. Everything just built up.
• 26:02
Speaker 1: So if, you know, we're kind of playing into hypotheticals. If this does continue and say they clamp down, the people react more, it it becomes something where, you know, the the action you get the equal and opposite reaction. So the harder they push to, you know, try to clamp down the protesters, the more the protesters can come out and and resist it. And so if you're saying it could potentially lead to the downfall of the CCP, how would that play out? And do you think that it could I mean, that the army would come in, that people would storm the Capitol Buildings, that there would be an all out, I won't say a civil war, it's not people against people, but, you know, government against their own people.
• 26:40
I mean, what what would that look like at the time of the CCC CCP's collapse?
• 26:46
Speaker 2: Actually, Seth, I I cannot answer that question because the party is really a master in suppression, okay? As I said, they got away for seven and a half decades from the bad policy and how they harm people. Yeah, the thing is that people have to overcome their fear. This is the most difficult thing. Okay, now it's out of frustration they took to the street.
• 27:19
But eventually, the really harsh hand comes to them, they have to overcome their fear. And this is something that is very difficult for them to do. And, yeah, it's basically how much courage they still have left after seven decades, how to say, suppression, persecution, or even torture sometimes. Then it's hard to predict, Seth. I want to give you some visibility here.
• 27:46
But to me, indeed, I myself have to just see this unfold. But in the meantime, what we can do, one thing, okay, we need to keep sending free information to China. Believe it or not, when you see, you know, this video you saw, you showed to me, still only a small percentage of Chinese people saw that because it will be took out from the Chinese internet right away, okay? Only the most vocal and courageous people saw it and spread it. And if I tell you probably only two to 3% of Chinese people saw the video that you just showed me, showed the audience here, that's not overstating, okay?
• 28:25
But if, think about it, if 20% or 30% people, 60% to 70% of people saw that, then the regime will lose control. So we have to talk about this. We have to send a video like this into China and, of course, better in Chinese, still but it's important for America to know that so that they will support the work of spreading the truth in China because, you know, truth was actually free. Truth is the most powerful weapon now, I would say.
• 28:52
Speaker 1: I also think highlights the importance of people spreading this information even in America Because then eventually, it gets to lawmakers, it gets to people, it gets to Chinese people here, they can send it back home. So even if someone's watching, if you like, it's like, if you're watching right now, you may not know how to translate a video or send a Chinese video into China, but maybe you share it with three this video, three or four of your friends, They share it, and that's how it gets back and ends up, you know, that feedback loop. So there's something that I I would also wanna talk to you about, which is something is really frightening, these videos I'm seeing coming out. And it's these quarantine camps. And I'm sure you've seen these videos, and these I'm seeing them all over China, these massive, massive quarantine camps.
• 29:32
And I'm also you know, the reports I'm getting are that, you know, most people in China are required to have their phone with their COVID status on it, and their status either green, yellow, or red, and how they're now using this to this is how they're stopping protests. You know, when they have a protest, they go turn everyone's phone red, meaning everyone is now infected, which means that they're now supposed to be quarantined, which to me, this is very reminiscent of gas chambers, you know, trains, Nazi Germany. Let me bring up one of the videos I wanted to to show for the audience, because this is this is frightening. And this is, again, this is only one of many videos that I'm seeing coming out of China. So let me go and play this for the folks that are watching.
• 30:23
For what I'm seeing in this, but also other videos, it looks like they're they're building camps for upwards of millions of people. I mean, it looks like the scale of what they're doing. If I had to get maybe it's hundreds of thousands or here, I'll play one other video here with another camp. Again, it shows you the scale. So why why do you think these are being oh, sorry.
• 31:04
Something's still playing there. So why do you think that they're building these massive quarantine camps in China?
• 31:14
Speaker 2: It's actually, the reason is very this is their so called success experience in the year of 2020 when the COVID-nineteen broke out first in Wuhan. And then that's how they did it. They just build those quarantine quarters and then move people into it and lock them up. I lock them out there so that they can cut the spreading path of the virus. And then in a very short time in a few months, it seems to be working, okay?
• 31:44
So somehow they say, That's our success story. They hold on to that formula. And then they just don't change because that success is tied up to the reputation of the supreme leader. As simple as that. So when the Omicron came, when there's a high, much, much, much more infectious and much less threatening virus is spreading.
• 32:11
They stay with the old tricks. They build all those basically, it's just nonsense corroding quarters. And then after they build it, they have to fill them up. Okay, that's how ridiculous it is. Because if it doesn't fill it up, then the story is not complete.
• 32:27
Though sometimes they because now they control the apps, right? They control the app, the code. So that they artificially in many cities, they artificially just turn into red so that they can move people into those quarters. Then they can report saying that we'll fill them up, it's great accomplishment. Everything is just reporting to the top, make the leader happy.
• 32:49
And then how much suffering that would incur to the common people, they don't care because their power does not come from people. They come from the above. So you see this is really just nonsense project, building those house after house just all around there, only to show their leaders, see, we are very effective. We are very strong. We are very decisive.
• 33:13
Then what really happens is all wasting of money and then wasting sometimes wasting of life, wasting of time, wasting of resource, and moving people there, people who they call this, called Okay, you are close to somebody who got the virus. You have no symptom. They also lock them up that way. So it's just nonsense. You can see how nonsense the communist nation can become, but it's not surprising.
• 33:37
You know, at times they just like that.
• 33:40
Speaker 1: Have you heard or do you have any personal stories of people that you know in China had described to you what life is like? Because, I mean, the the the Chinese people from, again, my own research and and they're suffering. Like, they they are suffering terribly right now. And I think a lot of them are very hopeless. Are you getting any reports coming out of what life is like for them in China these past few years?
• 34:06
Speaker 2: Yeah. It's I was talking to a person the other day on Saturday, I think, Thanksgiving Day. No, not Saturday, it's Thanksgiving Day. And she was describing she took a business trip to Shanghai, okay? That's the Shanghai Lockdown time.
• 34:21
And she was a businessman, very successful businesswoman. And she stayed at a hotel. And then the hotel said, we are locking up. We need to let you go. And then but there's no car outside.
• 34:33
There's no bus. There's no transportation. But there's hotels that you have to let you go because it's locked down. And then so she has to beg for, can I stay next day? And then after a while, they agree.
• 34:46
But after the next day, she doesn't know where she's going to live on the third where she's going to live on the third day. She cannot just leave the hotel and just become homeless on the street because nobody can stay on the street. You've got literally no place to go, and you want to run away, run out of Shanghai. You have no means to run out of Shanghai, and you have no means to stay in Shanghai. It's that kind of The whole thing is not well designed, it's not well thought out Because of the Supreme Leader's order, they say, Lock it down.
• 35:20
Now what happens next? There's no plan, no backup plan, no mechanism. And if people just face this ridiculous reality, And every day they face that. When it you know, it's lucky for her. She only have to deal with it for forty days.
• 35:37
Some people when they in Ulumu Shi, they've been staying there for one hundred and twenty days, three months, more than three months. It basically just drive you nuts. You feel that I don't want to live anymore. It's not a life. So that's just one specific story of a real person who just talked to me last, know, Thursday.
• 36:01
And she's just American no. She son lived in America. Okay. She's managed to to run out of China, and now she's breathing, you know, freely. She appreciated the liberty now we have, which we think is just air.
• 36:14
We don't feel it. To people in China, it's paradise.
• 36:20
Speaker 1: Yeah. What about the overall view of Xi Jinping? Because it to me, it's I can't make sense of why he would do this. And you've told me a few different times in this conversation that a lot of these motives are driven by trying to just impress the supreme leader, trying to follow the orders. And so, yeah, I guess I have two questions.
• 36:43
One is, is it just about saving face? Like, why is Xi Jinping doing this? He's destroying his country. He's destroying their economy. He's just destroying any trust people had in the government and communism there.
• 36:56
But, also, is he is he in a place where he's on the on the edge of losing power? I know there's a lot of communist infighting. So I guess, you know, what do you see happening in the mind of Xi Jinping amidst this?
• 37:08
Speaker 2: Yeah. This is a trillion dollar question, right? Because Chinese economy is losing trillions of dollars just by this. Yeah, it's a very good question. Okay?
• 37:18
People try to make sense of it. It's very, very hard to make sense. And then if you ask people, China experts who understand China, you probably get two or three answers, different answers. Okay, I can only share with you my point of view. And he seems to be genuine believing that his approach is right.
• 37:38
Because I think if he let open if he let go of the lockdown and the basic health system in China is not that strong, millions of people will die, Okay? And why he does not recognize Omicron is only a flu type of thing? I think because he leaves his own bubble. Okay? He does not know the basic reality.
• 37:59
Even as we see those videos, I don't think he sees it. He does not get to see it. He's encircled by people who try to court to him every day, and then he doesn't know the reality. And he really believes that his approach is right. That's why he insists on it.
• 38:18
Yeah, that's how I see it. That's how I see it. It does not make sense, but to a communist party leader, yes, they don't get to reach the reality every day.
• 38:28
Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, I know that I know that Xi also has a lot of influence on the rest of the world. And I've done a lot of interviews and coverage on this, how a lot of the origins of the lockdowns and the downs and the protocols that the rest of world has followed have come through, really, through Xi Jinping and his control of the World Health Organization, the World Economic Forum, a lot of these inroads, which is frightening because if you look at the Chinese model of approaching this right now, it's limited to China. But if you look at the areas where China has had a lot of control, especially the areas where you had a lot of the business dealings with the Belt and Road Initiative, etcetera, these are areas that very closely mimicked what was happening in China. It seemed like those are the areas that also the virus in in whatever form you wanna call it, seemed to be the worst in those areas that were very tied to China.
• 39:21
And so there's an there's a video that emerged recently of Klaus Schwab, where he's praising the Chinese style of managing COVID. And keep in mind, he's also someone that in his own office has a bust of linen. Right? So you could probably say he's a communist or Marxist Marxist of some sort. But I'm I'm gonna play this video because I wanna see what your thoughts are on this because this gets into a deeper topic in looking at what is next for the rest of the world, and that's the concerning thing.
• 39:50
So let me go and pull this up for you.
• 39:54
Speaker 3: So we have to define how the world should look like which we want to come out of this transformation period. I respect China's achievements, which are tremendous over the last over forty years. I think it's a role model for many countries, but I think also
• 40:23
Speaker 1: So, Claus Schwab, who's someone that was recently at G20 and who has very significant influence over a lot of the governments and cabinets around the world. You're talking, you know, Trudeau, you know, the New Zealand. You know, he's really got a lot of influence around the world. And so for him to come out recently and praise the Chinese style and call China a role model. I mean, this is frightening to me.
• 40:50
And I think that one of the the important things to highlight is a lot of people, they say, oh, well, Klaus Schwab and the, you know, WEF and the WHO, they're the enemies. They're the ones that are pushing for global communism. And I think that a lot of folks fail to recognize China's role in in the subversion, infiltration, and control, even I think of a lot of the large global organizations like the UN, the WHO, and the WEF. But so what what do you make of this with Klaus Schwab really kinda saying that we should be taking China's style and implementing it across the West?
• 41:28
Speaker 2: Yeah. I don't know. There's two possibilities. First, he really believes in that. He's genuine with his wording.
• 41:33
Then he's stupid. Okay? You only see one side of things. They'd always hand hold such people wherever they want to see. And then they only see partial story.
• 41:48
They thought that's whole China. But another possibility is he's just corrupt. Is the bar to just say those things because there's benefit in it? So either stupid or corrupt. That's the only two possibilities that I can see it.
• 42:03
Speaker 1: Yeah. And I think it's most likely a combination of stupidity, corrupt, and I think just perhaps his evil nature. So basically, what for the people that are watching this, and as you mentioned before, like, you know, we have to follow what's happening in China. You know, because I think that, look, I similar to you, I probably spent close to the last twenty years of my life really trying to expose the atrocities of the CCP. And, you know, that that would have been you know, earlier on, it was organ harvesting of Falun Gong.
• 42:38
It was the Uighur Muslim camps. It was the, you know, then getting the social credit system, the the social credit scores. Everything China's doing, I really view the CCP as the enemy of humanity. And I guess one question is, you know, how much influence, considering that they how evil they are, how much influence do you see them still having right now? You mentioned that they've they've got these millions of cameras.
• 43:03
They're getting we're getting more cameras here. Do does China do they concern you with regards to their overall plans for expanding their their system beyond the boundaries of China?
• 43:15
Speaker 2: Yeah. That's just remember, I I I think communism, the Chinese communism, they have in their mind, they always have ultimate goal. Okay? They will go global. They will take over the globe.
• 43:27
You know, back in the '19 how to say 1918, when the Russian communists, they started their revolution, they have that goal. You know, for this one hundred years, they always harbor that goal in their mind, okay? So even when they are weak, they cannot be underestimated, okay? They got this evil drive and they want to conquer the world and implement their so called dream, their fantasy of communism. So they will never stop.
• 43:58
That's the thing, they will never stop. This is the nature of such an evil force. So I think America is a free country, okay? And in this country, what CCP has learned is to use freedom to defeat freedom. Okay?
• 44:14
They can run media freely, they can just, how to say, they implant their spy besides our congresspeople. And then we are just wide open. We don't have the guard, we don't have the vigilance, we never learn close range what is the true communist living by us. So they dress in a suit to speak English, they look very gentle, things like that. But in their mind, this evil force, okay, they really have inherited evil there.
• 44:46
So I would say that it's very concerning if we lose the guard. They will grow just like a cancer, like a rust, keep growing. And you don't detect it because they won't let you know. They won't give you any reporting card. So the American people have to be very, very vigilant.
• 45:04
And they have to keep, share, and spread the truth about the behavior, the act of Communist Party. We cannot treat them as just another so called competing regime, competing country. No, they are meant to destroy us. That's not an overstatement. Okay?
• 45:23
And it's not a competitor like our current administration view them as just competitor. We compete let's don't go into conflict. That's their, you know, their framework, their thinking. Undestimation, okay? Because they try to bury us and destroy us.
• 45:42
If if you do not dismantle the CCP, they will come to you, you know, sooner or later. This is this is how serious this matter is.
• 45:51
Speaker 1: Do you think they'll be able to succeed in their goal of a global communist system?
• 45:58
Speaker 2: No. I don't. I I don't think so. But they will make things, you know, very messy, very bad. But I don't think they will succeed because mankind has survived communism for one century.
• 46:13
Okay? Unfortunately, the people who learn it the least is the American young people. Yeah. They they didn't learn from this, you know, one century is precious and costly lesson that mankind learned. And of because they are a public school, that's all intentional, that's part of the, you know, the you know, another version of communism communism in this country.
• 46:37
But no, I think we have seen it enough. I think we can stop it. We can stop it. Good people can stop it.
• 46:43
Speaker 1: And with the Chinese people that are really stepping forward now, I mean, right, you can see that sooner or later, it has to reach a tipping point, which is what we want. We want it to tip so that more people step forward. What can Americans and people around the world do to help tip those scales for the Chinese?
• 47:00
Speaker 2: Yeah, I think two things. First, does First, pay attention to the issue of China, okay, or CCP. And second, actually, I think it's not easy for Americans to do this, but I do think that the way to compromise this threat, basically, eventually will be a fatal threat, okay, is to take proactive measure. I'm not talking about declaring war or invasion or things like that. Supporting Chinese people's pursuit of truth.
• 47:35
Give them the revenue. Actually, it's very easy. Just bring down their firewall. Use technology to bring down their firewall. Then this will, how to say, weaken the CCP by, I would say, 80 to 90%.
• 47:49
And we're able to do that. We just didn't. We think these other countries matter. Okay? We cannot put that into a context of that this is a well, our livelihood in the future, okay?
• 48:04
We don't recognize that. That's why we don't do it. Technologically, we are able to do that. We're able to actually defeat the CCP still in a relatively easy way. It's not super hard.
• 48:16
We just don't have that wheel. We don't have that drive. That's the thing.
• 48:21
Speaker 1: So we have to really and this is this is actually a big part of what I feel like my mission is, and I and I know that I've talked to you a lot too, and and you are on the same page, is that we, especially with those of us that are in America, the ability to do an interview like this, and you have a channel like this. I know you have a YouTube channel, which I'll bring up shortly here, because it's important for people to see where they can follow more of the information you're putting out there. We, as Americans, we have to take it as our responsibility to expose communism and to expose the CCP and help our fellow Americans realize that that that's the real enemy. Because, again, this is the the communists are the experts on dividing people into these classes so that we focus on fighting each other. So we're focused on fighting.
• 49:03
It's all it's it's the democrats' fault. It's all it's the republicans' fault. And we're so busy at SAINTIFA versus the Proud Boys, and that's what our our society has become. Well, they're the ones that are masterminding all of this. And that's the key is that we have to recognize that it's the it's the CCP.
• 49:19
And if the CCP falls actually, this is here's one final question to to really kind of end with, and I'd love to show your YouTube channel. If the CCP falls, and and they collapse, and all of their mechanisms of control around the world collapse with them, How much do you think that would change the world without to not have the CCP?
• 49:41
Speaker 2: Wow, that'd be yeah, that would be the world will be in a much safer, safer place. And then a lot of corruptions, even the corruption in this country, they came from China. Business, American business do business with China. Many of them, I won't say all, many of them learn to become bad because it's just like an asset, very corruptive. You know, they send their kids into this country and then as in exchange, they give you business opportunity.
• 50:12
So American businessmen or politicians, they were taught to, Oh, that's how I can get ahead. That's how I can get my business, get that contract, get that special deal. And then it's just a corruptive force of this world, bring down our morals. I think when American, when mankind lost moral, our world will break. This is the role that's being played by the CCP.
• 50:39
Yeah, the world, I think, will be much, much better place and that we can be, how to say, it will be simpler, okay? We still have our problem, but it will become much less complicated. Yeah, so
• 50:54
Speaker 1: Let's just make it happen. Yeah, make it happen. Yeah. Keep
• 50:58
Speaker 2: up your work, Seth, and I should do do so too. Absolutely. And so are many of your viewers there. Yeah. If you can just, you know, be part of, you know, this good thing.
• 51:07
Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, I can tell you that this is a topic that people are really concerned about. We've had, I I think, over 3,000 people watching live for the majority of the show. So this is a it's it's a topic that people are hungry for, which is good. So, Alan, I wanna show just a couple of your websites.
• 51:22
So first, I've got here, this is your Sound of Hope website. Obviously, this is in Chinese. But so this is a major website that the Chinese are going to to understand what's happening. So also then I also wanna bring up here your YouTube channel. So you have a YouTube channel, which is fantastic.
• 51:39
This is the the Wei and Kathy Show. Right? And so Yeah. You can just search for this Wei, Kathy show, and you do a lot of reports on, you know, also what's happening in America, but you do a lot of reports on what's also what's happening in China. Right?
• 51:53
Speaker 2: Mhmm. Yeah. Yes. Yeah, I do that. But I'm being a little slow in updating that, but I have to pick it up.
• 52:06
I want to introduce a new website, which is called Ganjin World. Yes. Yeah, Ganjin World is a platform similar to YouTube, but it's founded by Chinese Americans. I just want you to know, by Chinese Americans and very dedicated people. And then they want to create a non censoring website that all kinds of people can live on that.
• 52:33
And it's very good for family, how to say, video consumption, lot of great content there. And then my channel is also there. I just I'm on there as well. Okay. All right.
• 52:44
  Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 52:45
Speaker 1: This is Ganjing World. So this is GANJINGWorld.com. Yeah. So this is yeah. It's it's almost like a it's like YouTube with no Marxist influence.
• 52:58
It's a very clean website, right, for news, information, cooking, etcetera. Yeah. Okay.
• 53:04
Speaker 2: Yeah. So Ganjing, the the translation is clean. It means clean in Chinese. So I see. Yeah.
• 53:12
Speaker 1: Oh, wonderful. So, Alan, it has been such a pleasure to have you here. And I've actually been waiting for quite some time to have you on, and this is a great opportunity to do that. And I really appreciate you, obviously, you being here tonight and, you know, being part of what we're we're doing. But I also just appreciate all the work that you've done, because I think that a lot of what you see happening in China, you and your work and your network have played a role in allowing people to access the real information, which is so important.
• 53:40
So, Alan, do you have any final words for the audience before we sign off?
• 53:45
Speaker 2: Yeah. Actually, I I do all this. I always carry this, you know, this sense of appreciation for the country, the land of the country I'm standing up upon in America. Because of America, we're able to do this. We're able to help China get rid of the grasp of the CCP.
• 54:05
And eventually I think that will happen. And it's a great piece of land. It's America. We need to treasure it. We need to protect it, too.
• 54:13
So that's the final word I want to say and for all those of you viewers there, and I think you care about Seth's program because you're good people. And, stay with the show, stay with Seth. I think you'll learn a lot.
• 54:27
Speaker 1: Thank you so much. Well, have a wonderful rest of your weekend. I really appreciate you being here on a Saturday night. Take care.
• 54:33
Speaker 2: Alright. You too. Bye, everyone.
