  [SPEAKER_00]: The seven round mock draft, our first seven round mock draft of the off season so far, we've worked up from three to four to five to six to now seven rounds for your Jacksonville jack bars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm very excited to get into it, absolutely.

  [SPEAKER_00]: To start this exercise, we went through and did all the salary cap stuff, and so you can go check that out in part one of the video, which is just a couple days ago.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We signed for agents as well, we kept Travis CTN, we kept Buster Brown.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We brought in K-Dotten.

  [SPEAKER_00]: to be the Titan 2 in Jacksonville, pair up with Britain Strange, give you a much better 12 and 13 personnel situation.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Kate Aughton is a starting caliber Titan in this league in my opinion.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Having two starting caliber Titans would be huge.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And again, this is kind of like my dream scenario.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think maybe another scenario that could make a lot of sense as Tyler Higby and we've talked about him as well on the show we did specifically about for Agent Titans.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Higby has a lot of experience with the Rams,

  [SPEAKER_00]: overall player than what you have in like a Johnny Munt or a hunter-long Quentin Morris, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: I just think he's a better player, but either way, this one is the dream scenario, so I went with Kate Otten and paid him handsomely for his services, and then, you know, we also brought in as we've been doing for

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think John Franklin Myers, to be that upgraded versatile defensive linemen that can line up from three to five and rush the passer and create disruption and play the run as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, that was the four really big moves and then we talked about, bring him back some of the cheaper free agents for the jag wars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: the Dennis Gardex, the Matt Dickerson's, some players of that ilk, and also the exclusive rights free agent, Christian Braswell, I think makes a lot of sense to bring back for the Jaguars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We've talked about it, but if you don't know about exclusive rights free agents, basically, the Jaguars, if they want to bring Christian Braswell back, all they have to do is extend him a minimum one year offer.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So that's a really unfortunate way that the CBA works for the players, but easy for the team to say, you know,

  [SPEAKER_00]: Last year, we like as attitude, we're bringing them back to be a depth piece at corner.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah, with all that said, let's go ahead and get into this seven round mock draft.

  [SPEAKER_00]: This is my dream mock draft, but we've got Michigan Edge Defender, Derrick Moore at 56.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And there is a heavy senior bowl and triangle feel to this mock draft.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Part of that is I believe that the Jag war is based on what they did last year are going to be very interested in players from the triangle and from the senior bowl because of the ability to get another look at them.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It just helps in the scouting process.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It really does.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And Derek, more to me, is just the perfect compliment to a Josh Hines Allen and Trayman Walker.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he's got good size, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's not an undersized edge player by any stretch of the imagination, but his game is more

  [SPEAKER_00]: about speed and quickness and technical hand usage as a pass pressure.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He has the ability to win on the outside arc to, you know, have an inside counter as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then also to convert some speed to power.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He also has the ability to rush.

  [SPEAKER_00]: from a two-point stance or a three-point stance on the outside shoulder of the tackle.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's also shown he can rush through the B gap, like you can move him around and do different things.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's six foot three and a half, 254 pounds.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Uh, not the tallest guy, but 254 pounds in this day and age is not like a light adressor by any stretch of the imagination.

  [SPEAKER_00]: A little bit smaller than Josh Heinz Allen and a lot smaller than Trayvon Walker.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I think that's a good thing.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He does have over 34 inch arms, which, again,

  [SPEAKER_00]: Arm length is not the end all be all that it was when Trim Balky was the Jaguar's general manager, but it does help like it's not something that's a negative by any charge of the mountain.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So Derek Moore, I just think he is really productive.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Hardworking a guy that just knows how to get after the quarterback and rush the passer from multiple alignments and he is well versed in having one of these defensive fronts like the jag wars that is multiple.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So Derek Moore at 56, I just think it's a perfect blend of need and value and in this draft after what we did in

  [SPEAKER_00]: defensive line in general, we also didn't sign a linebacker because we know how much we like this linebacker class.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And when I say we, I mean me, this linebacker class is extremely deep.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So we didn't sign a linebacker.

  [SPEAKER_00]: because Devon Lloyd would have been super expensive.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We have ventrow miller and jack Kaiser, and so we're going to bring in a linebacker that can compete to start or get reps in 2026, but definitely projects as a future starter, which I believe the Jaguar thing, Jack Kaiser, projected as a future starter as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: for them in the fourth round last year, but Derek Moore with the first pick for the Jaguars at 56 at 81, their first pick in the third round, first of three picks in the third round.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of really good linebackers in this class.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Jacob Rodriguez, Kyle Lewis, Bryce Bautcher, like these guys can all play.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Kyle Lewis, I think is a little bit more of a specific style of player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Just does not have the size in my opinion to consistently

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think Jacob Rodriguez has the size to do that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The instincts, the aggression for sure.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he has as much pop as a tackler, as a devenloid, but he can still definitely pop ball carriers and shoot through gaps and be a good run defender.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The thing I love about Jacob Rodriguez and I think one of the things the Jaguars will love about him.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He forced seven forced vumbles in 2020, five.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He intercepted four passes.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that is insane ball production.

  [SPEAKER_00]: On top of being a really consistent run defender, a good coverage player, a playmaker.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Somebody who can blitz as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I just think there's a lot he can do for your defense, getting him at 81 in my opinion, is a bit of a steal.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So Jacob Rodriguez, out of Texas Tech at 81, and look, there's a lot of good linebackers.

  [SPEAKER_00]: A lot of them were already off the board, but we went with Jacob Rodriguez here.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he's a smart football player, and he has just an unbelievable ability to pin up punch to get his hands on the football, and I think that Anthony Campanile and company will really value that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: At 88, second pick of the third round for the Jaguars, we went with a player, we haven't talked about on the channel yet, because I hadn't watched him yet, but it's Malik Muhamed the corner back out of Texas.

  [SPEAKER_00]: This is a guy that has, so a lot of the corners that people have been excited about for the Jaguars in this range, including myself like Chandler River's D'Angelo Ponds, there is some worry that they might have to kick inside and play nickel in the NFL because they're just undersized, like both five, you know, I think D'Angelo Ponds is just over

  [SPEAKER_00]: Five, nine, it's not big guys.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And you've seen the Rams and the other teams be able to figure it out with guys like Darius Williams as outside corners.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That's really the exception to the rule.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Malik Muhammad is just under six feet.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So he's got a little bit more size and length to him.

  [SPEAKER_00]: For sure, he's about 185 pounds.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He is a really good zone corner.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's smart, the way you see him reading the quarterback and passing off zone coverage assignments.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He, like I've seen him from cover three, be able to break on a seam route, like that type of thing, which is what you saw tray white do against the jaguars and the playoffs, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I love seeing guys who really understand the way

  [SPEAKER_00]: And be able to make plays on the ball.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's a really good athlete.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He is physical down hill against the run I think he makes so much sense for the jag wars and when you talk about adding another corner We re-signed Buster round.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You've got Travis Hunter, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: But

  [SPEAKER_00]: I look at the cornerback position and I say, what happens if it's a game where we want a future Travis Hunter more on the offensive side of the ball, do we want it to automatically be jarring and Jones on the outside with Jordan Lewis on the nickel and Buster Brown on the opposite side?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe that would be fine, but I think having more competition for that spot would be good for the Jaguars, and I think Malik Mohammed would certainly be able to provide that and

  [SPEAKER_00]: fixture in this defense long term.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I'm Lake Muhammad just a really good value in my mind at this spot.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And another really good value at 100 overall is Cage Casey at a Boise State.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Not like the flashiest athlete at Tackle, but somebody who really

  [SPEAKER_00]: One thing I, when I watch him, he frames his blocks really well, which means he understands, you know, the body positioning, angling, and how the play is designed really well, he's got good, consistent, punch timing, a good base.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There's nothing overly flashy again about his game, but I think he's the type of player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars can bring in here to play tackle or guard and be one of those versatile backups that they love to have, you know,

  [SPEAKER_00]: after, and he has starting potential for sure.
• 11:18
  [SPEAKER_00]: But after Walker Little's contract expires after the 2026 season, they can move on from Walker Little as your Cleveland's contract is expiring after 2026.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Patrick McCary, they could potentially move on from after 2026.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of future potential movement on the interior of the offensive line.

  [SPEAKER_00]: At tackle, I think you should be pretty locked in with Colvand Lannon and Anton Harrison, but even Colvand Lannon's contract,

  [SPEAKER_00]: you could get out of it pretty early that the way the Jaguar structured it.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So Cage Casey comes in.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he raises the floor on the back end of your offensive line group.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We talked about cutting Tuma doga.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Cage Casey come in and replace him and can play tackler guard for you.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think you can do it at a higher level and be a more consistent player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So that was the final pick of the third round for the Jaguars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then at the top of the fourth round, I got aggressive, like James Gladstone, he's got to get aggressive at some point.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I'll probably do it at some time on day two with three third round picks.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I liked the way the board fell for me, every single spot in the third round, so I didn't feel the need to move around too much.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But at the top of round four, we did get a little aggressive here.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We traded our fourth round pick, 124 overall, a fifth round pick, 162 overall,

  [SPEAKER_00]: 2027, six-thrown pick to move up to 102 and select Tyden Marlin Klein from Michigan.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he's vastly underrated.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I really do.

  [SPEAKER_00]: When I look at his skill set, ask Kicker at Blocker as a blocker.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's like, six, six, two, 50.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's strong.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He is aggressive both as a pass protector and a run blocker.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You see him just taking guys out and it reminds you of Britain's strange and then you also see an incredibly explosive athlete with great length.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think his hands are quite as natural as Britain's strange, but

  [SPEAKER_00]: there aren't bad and he's able to come down with some balls where he gets absolutely rocked by a defender doesn't matter he comes down with it doesn't drop the football too much it's under 10% so it's not like the red flags are going off consistently in that department I do think he can improve his hands but right now he's coming in as tight in three

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like, they went into 12 personnel a lot.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They did 13 personnel as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And you had basically replacement level guys out there outside of Britain strained with Johnny Month and Hunter Long and Quentin Morris.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I would like them to keep them around.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But the other two, I don't really have any affinity for.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The cool thing about trying to create a superpower that is based around the tight end position and heavy personnel is you don't have to spend all that much to do it.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And this is a deep tight end class, like a Marlin Klein, which

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know that he's going to be available at 102 that would really surprise him.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he, again, teams are going to love his violence as a player, and I just don't see any reason that he's not higher valued other than the fact that this is a deep tight end class and he didn't have like insane production at Michigan, but my type of player, absolutely, Marlon Klein, and now you have

  [SPEAKER_00]: Marlin Klein is a really explosive big football player and good luck trying to cover him, Britain, Strange, and Kate Otten at the same time, if you're in 13 personnel.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So that's an exciting development here for me.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Round 5, 164, we do again with Travis Hunter.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Being a player that one week, you might play him more on corner, one week you might play him more wide receiver.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We don't know exactly how it'll play out.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I want him to play more corner, a little less wide receiver and not because I don't want him at wide receiver, but because I think right now in year two, he can be a all pro corner, maybe not first team.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Christian Gonzalez is pretty damn good.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There's some other guys, Pastor Tam.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But he can play at that level.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He can play like an all pro corner.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And so, we go get another wide receiver that kind of reminds you of a Tim Patrick a little bit.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Chase Roberts out of BYU, I think that he's very polished.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's a big, big, ex-type wide receiver, but solid hands can go up and get the football.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's not going to be the most explosive athlete, but he reminds you a lot of a Tim Patrick.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Um, he's like a younger version of that and can do a lot of things for you at a high level.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Be a professional.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He just isn't going to pop with the athletic testing in my opinion, but good football player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So Chase Roberts makes a lot of sense in this spot for the Jaguars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: as a big player, he should be able to contribute as a blocker as well, contribute on special teams, bring him in there at 164 at 233, round 7.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We've drafted him before here, land in Robinson, the interior defense of Lyman at a Duke, I don't know why I said Duke, out of navy.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He, just going to go under the radar in my opinion because he went to navy.

  [SPEAKER_00]: kind of like a ray on lane last year, but he's a little squatty, a little shorter, I think it's like 6162, but he's too 90, he's got enough strength to hold up, he's really flexible, you see him with his ability to anchor down and get down to a knee against these double teams, guys like that are pretty special and then he's got really good quickness and

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he's a diamond in the rough type of player out of Navy and I think that he can come in and compete for reps as a past Russia for you early on, a laden of Robinson there on the interior.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then at, I will say, at 164 in this mock draft over on the PFF mock draft simulator, Malachi Lawrence was available, I would have taken him, but I just think there's no chance

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he's going to end up being round three or round four selection, much less like back of round five, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Malachi Lawrence is the Eddresher out of UCF, I think he's a really talented guy, not much of a run defender right now, but he's got to go earlier than that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's a good, good pastresher with explosiveness and energy and all that stuff, but we got Chase Roberts, I think he's a more realistic pick there.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I'm trying to give y'all my dreams in area while I'll be in realistic here.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Round seven, and like same thing, Cage Casey, for some reason, PFF has him like close to 200 on their board.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I could have probably waited to 164 to take him, but I don't think that that's in any way realistic.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We're trying to be realistic here.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Round seven, 245 went with Cole Payton, North Dakota State quarterback.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he is a great athlete.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he'd be a great kind of practice squad.

  [SPEAKER_00]: type of quarterback to develop and you know, you can use him.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They use Carter Bradley for some of this this year, but I think that Colpate would be better as a scout team quarterback when you're simulating for some of these crazy athletes at quarterback that you will play over the next several years in the NFL, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I think Cole Peyton, just that creativity and skill set that he brings could definitely help the Jaguars with their scout team.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And compete with Carter Bradley, not saying he's going to win the job, but round 7, 245, nothing wrong with taking a swing on a quarterback.

  [SPEAKER_00]: five of them are in the top 102 selections.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I would be so fired up just about Derek Moore, Jacob Rodriguez, Malik, Mohammed, Cage, KC, and Marlin Klein.
