- 0:04Speaker 1: All right.
- 0:04Speaker 2: We have a lot to run through the injury report.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Injuries suck. Will Carroll joining us. Injury Territory is the
- 0:09Speaker 2: show to cover all of this. So make sure you
- 0:11Speaker 2: check it out multiple times a week on the FT Network. Also,
- 0:13Speaker 2: his Under the Knife sub stack is a must subscribe. Will,
- 0:18Speaker 2: good to talk to you. I think we need to
- 0:20Speaker 2: start with a team that has a ton of names
- 0:22Speaker 2: and then we can go to some individual ones if
- 0:24Speaker 2: that's cool. So I'll give you dealer's choice where you
- 0:26Speaker 2: want to go. I'm just going to say Dodgers. Cause
- 0:28Speaker 2: I have like five, six names written down in terms
- 0:30Speaker 2: of guys that are playing that are hurt guys that
- 0:33Speaker 2: are not playing that are hurt guys that just got
- 0:36Speaker 2: hurt guys that are returning.
- 0:37Speaker 3: Where do you want to go?
- 0:39Speaker 1: Well, we can go with any of them, but let's
- 0:41Speaker 1: go with the big names. Uh, show you a tiny
- 0:43Speaker 1: dealing with a couple of different issues. Everybody's focused on
- 0:46Speaker 1: the knee, which is the same exact issue that we
- 0:49Speaker 1: have with, uh, Freddie Freeman. Uh, Otani's is a little worse.
- 0:53Speaker 1: He's been dealing with it longer. Um, But Otani is
- 0:57Speaker 1: also dealing with this neck issue. They keep calling it
- 1:00Speaker 1: a biceps issue, but Dave Roberts and my sources have
- 1:02Speaker 1: told me they've given a lot of hints that this
- 1:06Speaker 1: is something more like a nerve issue. And we've seen
- 1:09Speaker 1: this before. It's difficult. So he's not going to pitch.
- 1:16Speaker 1: There is no chance he's going to pitch in the playoffs.
- 1:19Speaker 1: And with Freeman, both of those knees, they've just got
- 1:22Speaker 1: to manage them. They've got to get them through the playoffs.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Meniscus injuries are fairly easy. So like Myles Garrett, they'll
- 1:30Speaker 1: go see Dr. Neal Eletrosh, have a little trim and
- 1:32Speaker 1: get back out. I'm sure both of you guys have
- 1:34Speaker 1: had that in the past. Maybe not you, Scott. I
- 1:37Speaker 1: don't know. But those are just management issues. Will, speak
- 1:43Speaker 1: for yourself.
- 1:43Speaker 4: I don't think Kratz or I have ever had any
- 1:45Speaker 4: knee problems.
- 1:45Speaker 3: So Will?
- 1:46Speaker 4: Take that glassy out of your mouth. Don't you put
- 1:48Speaker 4: that on us.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Uh, and also, by the way, do you have anything.
- 1:52Speaker 4: For your microphone that keeps shocking you because you're wearing
- 1:55Speaker 4: a rosary praying for the white socks to win today?
- 1:57Speaker 4: Is there a, is there a, is there a, something
- 2:00Speaker 4: I can do to stop that? Because it's like every
- 2:02Speaker 4: two seconds.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Uh, yeah, I'm thinking you might need to ground yourself.
- 2:07Speaker 4: That's impossible with, with this, with as big as my
- 2:10Speaker 4: ego is, well, I can never ground myself.
- 2:12Speaker 1: So let's also throw that out there.
- 2:13Speaker 3: Okay.
- 2:14Speaker 4: Um, On the Shohei thing, you mentioned the neck, right?
- 2:17Speaker 4: Is this only from pitching? Is this something that's caused
- 2:20Speaker 4: by pitching? Is this a hitting thing? Because it has
- 2:25Speaker 4: affected his hitting, I mean, along with the knee, along
- 2:27Speaker 4: with the bicep, along with every other thing he's had
- 2:29Speaker 4: going on.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Yeah, it's definitely affecting his hitting. That's actually where we
- 2:33Speaker 1: first saw signs of this. He kept trying to shake
- 2:37Speaker 1: out his arm. Dave Roberts has said multiple times that
- 2:40Speaker 1: he can't get it to fire, and that just signals
- 2:44Speaker 1: nerve flat out. Uh, so yeah, this is one, uh,
- 2:48Speaker 1: you know, we we've seen other pitchers having to deal
- 2:50Speaker 1: with this kind of, uh, the technical term is cervical radiculopathy. Uh,
- 2:55Speaker 1: it just doesn't fire really the best comp for this
- 2:58Speaker 1: situation that people know is Peyton Manning. Uh, he had,
- 3:01Speaker 1: he dealt with this through two minor surgeries where they
- 3:04Speaker 1: did everything they could not to do a fusion. They
- 3:06Speaker 1: finally did the fusion. Uh, he came back and his
- 3:09Speaker 1: laser rocket arm wasn't so laser rockety, but he managed
- 3:12Speaker 1: to win a super bowl. So I guess he was
- 3:14Speaker 1: okay for Otani. I don't think it's to that stage,
- 3:17Speaker 1: but it's certainly bothering him, and he's just not able
- 3:19Speaker 1: to get the bat where he wants it to be.
- 3:21Speaker 1: We're seeing a lot of wobble in his stat cast stats.
- 3:26Speaker 4: Will, is this like when Tiger Woods couldn't get his
- 3:27Speaker 4: glutes to fire? Remember when Tiger Woods was playing golf
- 3:30Speaker 4: and he kept saying, I can't get my right glute
- 3:32Speaker 4: to fire, and everybody's walking around going, man, my glute's
- 3:34Speaker 4: not firing. That's why I'm shooting 100?
- 3:35Speaker 3: A little bit.
- 3:37Speaker 1: I mean, obviously a different area. That's a little lower. But, yeah,
- 3:41Speaker 1: I mean, anytime those nerves coming out of the spine–
- 3:43Speaker 1: start having problems, anytime they're not firing, anytime they're getting irritated,
- 3:49Speaker 1: it's really problematic. It can be really, really painful. It
- 3:51Speaker 1: appears that his is kind of the opposite. There's less
- 3:56Speaker 1: action in that arm or Tiger's glute. I'm not even
- 4:01Speaker 1: going to follow that line.
- 4:04Speaker 5: I had no problem getting fired. I got fired plenty
- 4:07Speaker 5: of times in my career. Glutes, arms, whatever it is.
- 4:10Speaker 5: What's this treatment process for Shohei? Is it a rest,
- 4:16Speaker 5: we'll get it recovered, we'll get the nerve just rested
- 4:21Speaker 5: out or whatever it is? Because when you start getting
- 4:23Speaker 5: into the playoffs, there are off days. Is it a, okay,
- 4:28Speaker 5: he could play, but then it's going to fire up, so.
- 4:30Speaker 3: He needs time off? What is the normal protocol?
- 4:35Speaker 1: It's going to be a kitchen sink approach. Now, obviously,
- 4:37Speaker 1: they're going to know what works and what hasn't worked
- 4:41Speaker 1: and work on him throughout the playoffs. He's got a
- 4:44Speaker 1: daily routine before and after games. For the knee, he's
- 4:47Speaker 1: had at least one, probably two injections of basically lubricant
- 4:52Speaker 1: into his knee. So we'll see if that helps along
- 4:56Speaker 1: with the rest and the things they're doing while he's
- 4:58Speaker 1: out right now.
- 5:00Speaker 5: We hear a lot about cortisone shots. Now, cortisone shots
- 5:04Speaker 5: are not just liberally given out. When you get one
- 5:07Speaker 5: or two, when you get two in a spot, now
- 5:09Speaker 5: we're Is he in that realm because of the fact
- 5:13Speaker 5: that you can't just go and get a cortisone shot and, oh, yeah,
- 5:17Speaker 5: it's just going to fix it all up?
- 5:21Speaker 3: He's not.
- 5:21Speaker 1: He's getting what's called hyaluronic acid. It's Synvisc. There's a
- 5:25Speaker 1: couple of newer ones. Again, I don't know exactly what
- 5:27Speaker 1: they're using, but hyaluronic acid, it's functionally a lubricant. It's
- 5:32Speaker 1: like putting motor oil in there. It's the old pin
- 5:35Speaker 1: man from Wizard of Oz oil can kind of thing.
- 5:39Speaker 1: It does work. It doesn't last a long time. The
- 5:41Speaker 1: body reabsorbs it. It's not like motor oil where it
- 5:45Speaker 1: hurts you. Your body naturally has that and you have
- 5:48Speaker 1: less and less as you age. He certainly shouldn't have
- 5:51Speaker 1: a shortage, but he's got damage in that meniscus. It's
- 5:54Speaker 1: going to have to be fixed. So think of it
- 5:56Speaker 1: as a rough road and they're just trying to smooth
- 5:59Speaker 1: out those bumps. But with as much force as he
- 6:02Speaker 1: puts in that swing and with pitching, you just have
- 6:05Speaker 1: force in that knee. So it's impossible to get it
- 6:08Speaker 1: all out. They're just trying to see how can we
- 6:10Speaker 1: get it from here to the end of October so
- 6:13Speaker 1: he's healthy enough to raise a trophy again and then
- 6:16Speaker 1: head right over for surgery.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Hey, today's episode is presented by the ASPCA Pet Health
- 6:21Speaker 2: Insurance Program.
- 6:22Speaker 1: Krats, we love our pups.
- 6:25Speaker 3: Yes, I love my mini golden doodle, Bella.
- 6:27Speaker 5: But you can't miss this opportunity, just like Bella misses
- 6:31Speaker 5: the ball when you bounce it to her.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Bella, you're almost there. The ASPCA Pet Health Insurance Program

- 7:15Speaker 2: not an insurer and is not engaged in the business
- 7:17Speaker 2: of insurance.
- 7:18Speaker 3: Yeah, you're talking about miles.
- 7:21Speaker 5: Nobody's taking more miles on that body than Shohei with
- 7:24Speaker 5: hitting and pitching. Let's go to Jesus Lizardo and the
- 7:27Speaker 5: fact that we are about 15 days from the playoffs
- 7:31Speaker 5: and he just got put on the 15-day IL with
- 7:34Speaker 5: shoulder inflammation.
- 7:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:38Speaker 1: And especially with the shoulder history he has there, it
- 7:41Speaker 1: was just a couple of years ago when he was
- 7:43Speaker 1: with the Marlins where there were questions about whether he
- 7:45Speaker 1: was ever going to make it back. I remember talking
- 7:47Speaker 1: to a scout that had seen one of his side
- 7:49Speaker 1: sessions and said he was up there grunting full effort
- 7:53Speaker 1: and throwing the ball 80 miles an hour. Methyl staff
- 7:57Speaker 1: down there did a great job getting him back. The
- 7:59Speaker 1: Phillies have done a great job maintaining him, but something gave.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Was he overthrowing in that great 12-strikeout game? We'll probably
- 8:08Speaker 1: never know without the Kinetrax data, but the swelling in
- 8:12Speaker 1: the back of his shoulder is certainly problematic. They're saying
- 8:14Speaker 1: no structural issue, which just means there's nothing torn, but
- 8:19Speaker 1: there's certainly something that was stretched, something that was overstressed.
- 8:23Speaker 1: This is problematic because not only the timing, but his
- 8:28Speaker 1: history alone It kind of makes you cringe. I don't
- 8:32Speaker 1: think this kills the Phillies. If he comes back and
- 8:35Speaker 1: he can only throw four innings, well, heck, that's probably
- 8:39Speaker 1: what most people are going to do anyway.
- 8:42Speaker 5: Yeah, but the Phillies, he was their best pitcher. So
- 8:44Speaker 5: I think it kills them more than anything.
- 8:46Speaker 3: But, hey, you know what?
- 8:47Speaker 5: We'll play off. Let's go to another lefty, Garrett Crochet.
- 8:51Speaker 5: Garrett Crochet has been a starter for his entire Red
- 8:55Speaker 5: Sox life. They weren't sure what was going to happen
- 8:58Speaker 5: with the White Sox. How does that process, how does
- 9:01Speaker 5: the rehab or return to play process change now that
- 9:05Speaker 5: they've committed, okay, he's not going to make it back
- 9:08Speaker 5: to the starting rotation for the playoffs, but it will
- 9:12Speaker 5: be in the playoffs as a reliever, hopefully?
- 9:17Speaker 1: Yeah, the rehab process itself doesn't change. What changes is
- 9:21Speaker 1: the length of the build. If you're trying to ramp
- 9:24Speaker 1: somebody up to get them We always see this in
- 9:26Speaker 1: spring training. It throws one inning. It throws two innings.
- 9:28Speaker 1: It throws three innings. We see rehab starts where it's 30, 45, 60.
- 9:34Speaker 1: One inning is roughly 15 pitches. You see guys like
- 9:37Speaker 1: Trey Savage got absolutely torched yesterday in his rehab start.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Didn't even make it through the first inning. But for Crochet,
- 9:43Speaker 1: they did everything normally up to the fact that they
- 9:45Speaker 1: didn't keep building him. Now he's just going to keep
- 9:48Speaker 1: his chronic workload at the probably two inning, three inning
- 9:51Speaker 1: level where he could come in and go a little
- 9:53Speaker 1: bit longer, especially if he's pitching well. But I don't
- 9:57Speaker 1: think it changes much for him. It certainly does. change
- 10:00Speaker 1: the rehab process. It's just a matter of he's not
- 10:02Speaker 1: going to be getting as many outs. And we're seeing
- 10:05Speaker 1: this more and more. I mean, Tanner Houck might make
- 10:07Speaker 1: it back, and he's going to be in the same situation.
- 10:10Speaker 1: But take a look at the Yankees. They're about to
- 10:13Speaker 1: get Clark Schmidt back from Tommy John. He's in the
- 10:16Speaker 1: same situation. They've got guys who were starters not too
- 10:20Speaker 1: long ago, and you figure they're going to take the
- 10:22Speaker 1: back-end guys and put them in the rotation. They could
- 10:25Speaker 1: really go short starts with everybody but Cam Schlittler and
- 10:29Speaker 1: go right, left, right. There's all sorts of things, and
- 10:32Speaker 1: the Red Sox could do it too. I think this
- 10:35Speaker 1: playoff might end up the playoff of kind of long
- 10:38Speaker 1: men in the bullpen.
- 10:40Speaker 3: That's every playoff lately, Will. That's every playoff.
- 10:44Speaker 4: And whoever gets the best starting pitching usually wins in
- 10:46Speaker 4: the postseason, just throwing it out there. Can we talk
- 10:48Speaker 4: about a couple guys who aren't coming back? Correa decided
- 10:52Speaker 4: his rehab was too much, right? Devers having surgery, Byron
- 10:55Speaker 4: Buxton having surgery. Buxton and Devers are a little bit
- 10:58Speaker 4: different because these are newer injuries, but they're doing this
- 11:01Speaker 4: right because they can rehab with their teams before a
- 11:03Speaker 4: possible lockout. How does that affect? Can you explain to
- 11:06Speaker 4: people how that affects people on the IL in the
- 11:09Speaker 4: offseason if there is a lockout?
- 11:11Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a great question. And it's got a pretty
- 11:15Speaker 1: simple answer. Once they lock out, anybody in the 40-man
- 11:18Speaker 1: is cut off from the team. A lot of people
- 11:23Speaker 1: have their own trainers and obviously doctors. But in a
- 11:27Speaker 1: lot of these situations, if the team doctor, the team
- 11:31Speaker 1: athletic trainer, people you normally work with, the rehab professionals,
- 11:34Speaker 1: you've got to go and find somebody else. Now, there's
- 11:37Speaker 1: always ways around it. You can send messages online. They're
- 11:42Speaker 1: reasonable things, and there are medical exceptions to it that
- 11:45Speaker 1: are actually federal law. But for the most part, they're
- 11:48Speaker 1: going to have to go elsewhere. Now, this shouldn't affect
- 11:52Speaker 1: Devers at all. He went to Bill Myers in Philadelphia,
- 11:54Speaker 1: who does all these sports hernia core muscle injuries. He'll
- 11:58Speaker 1: be back in about six weeks. This has a great
- 12:01Speaker 1: return rate, so I don't think that's going to be
- 12:03Speaker 1: a problem. Correa is a little bit more complicated just
- 12:07Speaker 1: because His ankle, his rehab went so well until it didn't.
- 12:12Speaker 1: They're saying it's not a setback, but that the workload
- 12:14Speaker 1: was just too much to get him back. I don't
- 12:16Speaker 1: really understand that, and they haven't explained it very well. So,
- 12:20Speaker 1: you know, it's not the ankle that kept him out
- 12:22Speaker 1: of those two contracts. It's the other one with that
- 12:24Speaker 1: just crazy, quirky injury like we've never seen before. So, yeah,
- 12:31Speaker 1: there's still some information I don't have on that one,
- 12:34Speaker 1: and I'm curious to see it. Buxton is the most
- 12:36Speaker 1: interesting one because he had a resurfacing. We don't know
- 12:39Speaker 1: whether the labrum was torn inside there, but a lot
- 12:42Speaker 1: of people have returned with this. You can go all
- 12:44Speaker 1: the way back. Alex Rodriguez had this surgery. Chase Utley
- 12:47Speaker 1: had this. You see it a lot in hockey because
- 12:49Speaker 1: of the way they skate, but he shouldn't have any problems.
- 12:54Speaker 1: He does have an extensive injury history, but he comes
- 12:56Speaker 1: back with all the talent.
- 12:59Speaker 3: All right.
- 13:00Speaker 4: Is it a core muscle or is it a hernia?
- 13:02Speaker 4: Can we just, can we settle on one or the other?
- 13:03Speaker 4: Because nobody wants to call it a hernia. It's now
- 13:06Speaker 4: a core muscle. So just tell me, well, I just
- 13:07Speaker 4: want to know.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Yeah, it's not a hernia. It's actually the sheath around
- 13:11Speaker 1: the muscle. Tim Kremchak had it. I think it was
- 13:15Speaker 1: Barry Larkin had the original injury and he was trying
- 13:18Speaker 1: to explain it. And he goes, just call it a
- 13:19Speaker 1: sports hernia. You know, athletic pubalgia is not one that
- 13:23Speaker 1: people want to try.
- 13:23Speaker 3: To say on TV.
- 13:26Speaker 1: So, uh, you know, Bill Myers, who does almost all
- 13:29Speaker 1: these surgeries out of his hospital in Philadelphia, uh, he
- 13:33Speaker 1: likes to call it a core muscle injury. It's cleaner,
- 13:36Speaker 1: but they're, they're the exact same thing. A hernia is
- 13:38Speaker 1: when your intestines are actually poking through the abdominal wall. Uh, so,
- 13:43Speaker 1: you know, all, all the things mean the same thing. It's,
- 13:45Speaker 1: it's just a little bit of a detail for, for,
- 13:48Speaker 1: for Devers six weeks, he'll be fine.
- 13:51Speaker 6: Back in the day, Kratzy and I were looking for tickets.
- 13:54Speaker 6: It was so hard to find a seat or anything available.
- 13:57Speaker 6: You'd have to go online and there was nothing there.
- 13:59Speaker 6: But now with SeatGeek, they make it so much easier
- 14:03Speaker 6: for you. They have the green light special. What does
- 14:05Speaker 6: that mean? It means when the green light is on,
- 14:07Speaker 6: you can get some of the best seats available.
- 14:09Speaker 3: Go to SeatGeek.
- 14:10Speaker 6: Kratzy understands how.
- 14:11Speaker 3: Easy it is.
- 14:12Speaker 5: Yeah, I know you used to scalp your tickets. But look,
- 14:15Speaker 5: it's way, way better now because you get to just
- 14:17Speaker 5: go right on SeatGeek. and find your postseason tickets. I'm
- 14:21Speaker 5: not even going to fast forward to the postseason. I'm
- 14:23Speaker 5: going to say the run to October because some teams
- 14:26Speaker 5: aren't in yet, so right now is the time to
- 14:28Speaker 5: get it, and those seats are available.
- 14:30Speaker 6: And it's playoff time, the best time for baseball. And,
- 14:32Speaker 6: of course, I have a code for you all. You
- 14:35Speaker 6: can use code TERRITORY10 for 10% off your next set
- 14:38Speaker 6: of MLB tickets at SeatGeek. That's 10% off MLB tickets
- 14:42Speaker 6: with promo code TERRITORY10. Make sure you click the link
- 14:45Speaker 6: in the description to download the app and have the
- 14:47Speaker 6: code automatically sent Add it to your account so you
- 14:50Speaker 6: can use it later.
- 14:51Speaker 3: All right.
- 14:52Speaker 5: Rafi Devers and Buxton both were on the record saying
- 14:56Speaker 5: or people were the team was saying they played through it.
- 14:59Speaker 5: Buxton's even was kind of it crept up in 2021.
- 15:04Speaker 3: They had talked about it. Which one is tougher?
- 15:07Speaker 5: Because both guys, if you look back when it was,
- 15:11Speaker 5: they were dealing with it. have both had very successful runs.
- 15:15Speaker 5: Devers especially this year was a really good run. Which
- 15:18Speaker 5: one is tougher to play through, but also which one
- 15:22Speaker 5: could cause more damage? Because I know when Utley played
- 15:25Speaker 5: through his hip, it ended up hurting his knee that
- 15:30Speaker 5: he ended up getting more wear and tear on his
- 15:32Speaker 5: knee because he was playing through his hip so that
- 15:34Speaker 5: they could play through the 2008 season and win a
- 15:37Speaker 5: World Series.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Yeah, that's exactly it. You worry about what the other things,
- 15:43Speaker 1: how is he compensating for that? To bring us full circle,
- 15:47Speaker 1: this is the same sort of thing I talked about
- 15:48Speaker 1: with Freeman and Otani, where they're managing the injury to
- 15:51Speaker 1: try to get it through. Is it going to get worse?
- 15:53Speaker 3: Yes.
- 15:54Speaker 1: How much worse can you play through the pain? I've
- 15:57Speaker 1: never had a core muscle injury, but I've had a
- 16:00Speaker 1: number of groin strains in the past, and they hurt.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Can you play through them? Yes, it depends on your
- 16:06Speaker 1: pain tolerance and the movements you have to make. With
- 16:09Speaker 1: the hip, it's tougher because it's literally every step. So
- 16:13Speaker 1: they managed it well. He was able to continue to
- 16:16Speaker 1: do all the things he needed to do. So I
- 16:18Speaker 1: have to question whether he just has a really high
- 16:21Speaker 1: pain tolerance or whether they were able to find techniques
- 16:24Speaker 1: that worked until they didn't. And now, hopefully, they go
- 16:28Speaker 1: right to the root cause and get this fixed.
- 16:30Speaker 3: I'll be honest.
- 16:32Speaker 5: I'm not 100% sure what Shane McClanahan's current injury is.
- 16:37Speaker 5: Is he a candidate of somebody that you could say, okay,
- 16:43Speaker 5: he's got an injury history.
- 16:45Speaker 3: What is this root cause?
- 16:46Speaker 5: Because when you talk to him and watch him play
- 16:49Speaker 5: and get ready and prep, and I know the Rays–
- 16:52Speaker 5: The Rays staff, how they get guys ready, it's top notch,
- 16:56Speaker 5: second to none. But he continues to unfortunately go down
- 17:00Speaker 5: this road with just immense talent that I saw back
- 17:03Speaker 5: in 2020 during the COVID season.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Yeah, the root cause is pitching. Simple as that. The
- 17:12Speaker 1: fact is some guys just put too much force on
- 17:16Speaker 1: the elbow. There was a great article by Barry Bloom
- 17:19Speaker 1: about Joe Musgrove. I don't think Joe Musgrove's ever going
- 17:21Speaker 1: to be able to come back, but he detailed why.
- 17:23Speaker 1: He didn't just have Tommy John. He didn't just have
- 17:25Speaker 1: an internal brace. They did microfracture inside his elbow. They
- 17:29Speaker 1: took out bone spurs and bone chips. They cleaned everything out.
- 17:33Speaker 1: I mean, it was extensive. And McClanahan has had kind
- 17:38Speaker 1: of the same thing. I don't think he's had microfracture,
- 17:40Speaker 1: but he had the nerve issue. He's had Tommy John
- 17:44Speaker 1: a couple times. Now he's got a flexor strain. So
- 17:48Speaker 1: it's a lot of things. And certainly you would think
- 17:51Speaker 1: that McClanahan and Peralta going into the playoffs were going
- 17:54Speaker 1: to give them the best shot. Now we don't even
- 17:56Speaker 1: know if McClanahan is going to pitch again this year,
- 17:59Speaker 1: next year. Who knows? This is a pretty complex situation
- 18:03Speaker 1: for a very simple joint.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Well, good thing they have Freddy Peralta. And they turned
- 18:10Speaker 2: him back into Freddy Peralta.
- 18:14Speaker 3: That helps.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Uh, well, good stuff, man. Appreciate the time.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Anytime guys.
- 18:20Speaker 2: And make sure everyone checks out injury territory. Uh, plus
- 18:23Speaker 2: the sub stack I was mentioning before from will that's
- 18:26Speaker 2: bringing you all of these kinds of updates on a
- 18:27Speaker 2: daily basis under the knife plus injury territory that gets
- 18:30Speaker 2: you everything that you need. We'll Carol hosting part of
- 18:34Speaker 2: the FT network.
