- 0:03SPEAKER_00: Hello everyone, welcome back to the Astrology for Beginners podcast.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: I'm your host, Stephanie Kate Boucher, and I am so happy to have you here.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: This is the podcast for you if you have ever wanted to learn how to read a natal
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: chart or were kind of interested in astrology and wished that you understood more
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: about it but didn't know where to begin or it seemed too complicated and you didn't
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: have the time or the resources to invest in learning it.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: My goal is to break things down for you episode by episode in the most simplified
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: way that I can so that you can learn to speak the language of the stars.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: Thank you for learning astrology with me.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: Hey friends,
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: we are back for another all-new episode,
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: and today we are going to build off of the thread that we started last week when we
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: talked about chart rulers.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: If you'll recall,
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: I had you do a thing where you looked at the sign on your ascendant,
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: determined which planet ruled that sign,
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: and then...
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: located that planet in your chart in order to look for clues about the major themes
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: and lessons and experiences that you planned on having when you got here.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: And I feel like this is a really pivotal exercise for people to go through because
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: maybe for one of the first times since we started this whole thing,
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: this whole show,
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: it gave you a chance to take two different parts of your chart and really tie them
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: together and
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: in order to start telling a story.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: This exercise isn't simply about memorizing what something means,
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: like what a particular house means or what a particular sign means or what a planet means.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: This is a step beyond that.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: This is about using one part of your chart and using it to look for clues to tell you where to look
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: next for more information,
- 2:01SPEAKER_00: which is ultimately one of the things that you want to be doing and getting
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: comfortable with because that's what helps you find the story.
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: One thing in the chart is prompting you to look at another thing that is positioned
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: somewhere else,
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: and then your natal chart becomes like a map.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: It's like a trail of breadcrumbs that you're following in order to find your way.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: And we're revisiting this idea this week because I'm going to describe how you can
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: use the same line of thinking,
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: the same process,
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: in other ways.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: Because once you've done this with your chart ruler,
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: this strategy of taking the planetary ruler of one house and finding that planet in
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: the chart to get more information about the matters of that house...
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: Well, then you can start doing this for every area of your life.
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: So again, the chart ruler tells you about yourself because it rules the first house, which is you.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: It's the house of self.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: It's your persona and it's your body.
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: So its ruler represents the self and how you're showing up.
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: But what if you want to learn about parts of your life that are more specific?
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: What if you want to learn about your finances and how you are best suited to making money?
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: How you're likeliest to make money?
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: What if you want to know about the types of jobs you'd be good at or what type of
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: employment you should be looking for?
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: What type of career you thought you'd have?
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: What if you want to know more about how you learn best or what your communication
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: style is or what your general attitude about your life is like or how you show up
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: in your relationships or how your relationships might feel or what they might be like?
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: What if you want to know more about your health or what your dating style is?
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: You can start using this strategy for any area of your life.
- 3:57SPEAKER_00: And how you do that is you determine which house is the most relevant house for the
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: issue you're interested in.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: Then look at the sign that this house cup falls into.
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: And by the way,
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: just a reminder that the house cusp is the first line of that house if you are
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: moving counterclockwise around the chart.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: Then you're going to determine which planet is the ruler of that sign.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: And then go find that planet in your chart and see what it's doing.
- 4:29SPEAKER_00: You can follow all of the same steps that you used to analyze your chart ruler.
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: you'll look at the house that that planet is in because that house is now going to
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: be directly tied to the original house.
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: The ruler being in another house means that the activities associated with those
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: two houses are linked together,
- 4:50SPEAKER_00: or that those two parts of your life are linked together.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: You're going to look at the sign that the planetary ruler of that house is in.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: The sign tells you how you're going to go about doing the matters of that house.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: The sign always shows you the how of something.
- 5:06SPEAKER_00: The house is the part of the question that shows you the what.
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: The sign is the how.
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: You're going to look at the planet's condition to determine whether one of the four
- 5:15SPEAKER_00: essential dignities applies.
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: Is it in domicile, exaltation, detriment, or fall?
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: It could be none of those, but if it is, take a note.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: Then you'll see if it's making any aspects to other planets.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: If so, which ones and where are those planets?
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: What are they doing?
- 5:33SPEAKER_00: Or alternatively, is the planet unaspected?
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: So look for all of the information you can.
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: I think we should take a crack at a sample chart and see how this can work.
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: So I've put a chart in the show notes,
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: and you can have that handy if you want during the rest of this discussion.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: And I'll tell you whose chart this is at the end of the show.
- 5:55SPEAKER_00: So let's say that this chart belonged to you,
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: or perhaps it belonged to someone else,
- 6:01SPEAKER_00: and that person asked you to give them some advice about what types of job they
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: should do in this world.
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: What types of employment should they have?
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: Perhaps they're not happy with what they're currently doing, or perhaps they're looking to make some
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: job changes or some career decisions that might be on the horizon.
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: And they just really want to get more in touch with what they're good at and where
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: they think would be a good place to channel their efforts.
- 6:30SPEAKER_00: So we'd be wanting to go to the sixth house.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: The sixth house is the house in astrology that rules work, employment, and service to others.
- 6:40SPEAKER_00: There are actually three career houses.
- 6:42SPEAKER_00: It's the second
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: the 6th and the 10th,
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: and they're all,
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: you know,
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: trined together,
- 6:46SPEAKER_00: but specifically employment and day-to-day work is ruled by the 6th house.
- 6:51SPEAKER_00: So we're going to look at the 6th house,
- 6:53SPEAKER_00: and in this chart we see that the 6th house is ruled by the sign Sagittarius.
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: And by the way,
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: this isn't necessarily how an actual reading with an astrologer would go,
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: because in that case,
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: there would be a lot of different things they'd be looking at to determine one's
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: career inclinations.
- 7:11SPEAKER_00: Career astrology can get very, very nuanced and complicated.
- 7:15SPEAKER_00: They'd probably want to be looking at the ascendant sign and the chart ruler,
- 7:19SPEAKER_00: and they'd look at the planet's
- 7:21SPEAKER_00: in the first house and near the angles and angular houses.
- 7:25SPEAKER_00: They'd look at the sun placement and basically the whole chart in its entirety
- 7:29SPEAKER_00: because it's such an integral part of who we are,
- 7:32SPEAKER_00: right,
- 7:33SPEAKER_00: our work.
- 7:34SPEAKER_00: This is also,
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: though,
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: one of the steps one could take or would take if you wanted to get clues about the
- 7:41SPEAKER_00: type of work someone would be well-suited to doing.
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: And so just for the sake of demonstrating this one strategy,
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: we're going to ignore as best we can all of the other things for now and just see
- 7:53SPEAKER_00: where this takes us.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: Let's see where we can get with this process.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: We'll test it out.
- 7:58SPEAKER_00: So,
- 7:58SPEAKER_00: of course,
- 7:59SPEAKER_00: the first thing you'll notice looking at the sixth house is that it's ruled by Sagittarius.
- 8:03SPEAKER_00: So what that tells us right out of the gate is that this would be a person who
- 8:08SPEAKER_00: would be bringing Sagittarian qualities to all of their sixth house themes.
- 8:13SPEAKER_00: Those would include one's work, right?
- 8:16SPEAKER_00: They're likely to approach their work with a sense of adventure,
- 8:20SPEAKER_00: with optimism and,
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: you know,
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: a can-do attitude.
- 8:24SPEAKER_00: They're going to have a growth mindset because Sag is very expansive.
- 8:30SPEAKER_00: They're going to want to take on a challenge or an opportunity,
- 8:33SPEAKER_00: rather,
- 8:33SPEAKER_00: because that's how they'd see it,
- 8:35SPEAKER_00: and live it out and play it out to its fullest potential.
- 8:39SPEAKER_00: These are going to be your big picture thinkers and your philosophers,
- 8:43SPEAKER_00: so they're not necessarily going to enjoy getting mired down in mundane tasks.
- 8:49SPEAKER_00: So any job that would require lots of mundane little details or work that they deem
- 8:55SPEAKER_00: uninteresting is not for them.
- 8:58SPEAKER_00: They're going to need to be or prefer to be in a position where they can step back
- 9:03SPEAKER_00: and see the big picture.
- 9:05SPEAKER_00: There's a real love of learning here.
- 9:07SPEAKER_00: Remember,
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: Sagittarius and Jupiter,
- 9:09SPEAKER_00: its ruler,
- 9:10SPEAKER_00: are both associated with higher learning or highly specialized or technical
- 9:16SPEAKER_00: learning of any kind.
- 9:18SPEAKER_00: It's associated with teaching and mentoring,
- 9:21SPEAKER_00: with academia,
- 9:22SPEAKER_00: with long distance travel,
- 9:24SPEAKER_00: with publishing,
- 9:26SPEAKER_00: the law,
- 9:27SPEAKER_00: religion,
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: and our belief systems.
- 9:30SPEAKER_00: These are all Sagittarian themes and things ruled by Jupiter.
- 9:34SPEAKER_00: So we know that this is how this person would tend to approach their work and that
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: they do best working in a profession or role where having these qualities are an
- 9:44SPEAKER_00: expected part of the job.
- 9:47SPEAKER_00: And they'd probably do especially well at one of the professional areas I just mentioned.
- 9:52SPEAKER_00: But which one?
- 9:54SPEAKER_00: Well, let's look for more clues.
- 9:56SPEAKER_00: Before we leave the sixth house,
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: I will point out that we'd typically also look to see what planets are in this house,
- 10:03SPEAKER_00: if there are any.
- 10:05SPEAKER_00: And in the case of this chart, the moon is here.
- 10:08SPEAKER_00: That's really significant for a couple of reasons.
- 10:12SPEAKER_00: One is that it indicates that this person's emotional well-being,
- 10:16SPEAKER_00: or rather their happiness,
- 10:18SPEAKER_00: is closely tied to their work and that they need to be satisfied and very engaged
- 10:24SPEAKER_00: in this part of their life in order to feel happy and content.
- 10:27SPEAKER_00: If they don't have work they enjoy doing,
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: it's going to feel very unsettling for them and they're not going to be as happy in
- 10:35SPEAKER_00: life generally.
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: It can also show that this is someone who brings a great deal of care into their work.
- 10:44SPEAKER_00: This is someone who likes to nurture their work because remember,
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: the moon is a very nurturing and caring energy.
- 10:52SPEAKER_00: That's one thing.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: The other is that the moon is the ruler of this chart.
- 10:57SPEAKER_00: This is a Cancer rising.
- 10:59SPEAKER_00: The chart ruler is the moon.
- 11:01SPEAKER_00: The moon is in the sixth house.
- 11:03SPEAKER_00: So the major lessons they're here to learn and the major tasks they came here for
- 11:09SPEAKER_00: are going to be directly related to the work that they do.
- 11:13SPEAKER_00: So that's very significant.
- 11:15SPEAKER_00: Their work might also make them popular too.
- 11:18SPEAKER_00: Sag moons tend to attract popularity and make people very likable.
- 11:23SPEAKER_00: But back to the process of looking at the dispositor, or the sixth house ruler.
- 11:28SPEAKER_00: The ruler of Sagittarius, of course, is Jupiter.
- 11:31SPEAKER_00: So we're going to look to see where Jupiter is,
- 11:35SPEAKER_00: and that's going to give us more information about this person's work.
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: And we can see that Jupiter is in the ninth house and it's in the sign of Aquarius.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: Now,
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: the ninth house,
- 11:46SPEAKER_00: that's very interesting because the ninth house is the house that's naturally ruled
- 11:51SPEAKER_00: by Sagittarius and Jupiter in astrology.
- 11:54SPEAKER_00: So we're going back to those Sagittarian themes again.
- 11:57SPEAKER_00: Sagittarius is clearly a big theme in this person's work and in this person's life.
- 12:02SPEAKER_00: But what might this person's work actually look like?
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: Well,
- 12:07SPEAKER_00: It's going to be taking place in the realm of life that is the ninth house.
- 12:11SPEAKER_00: So again,
- 12:12SPEAKER_00: that could be higher learning or very specialized learning,
- 12:16SPEAKER_00: academia,
- 12:17SPEAKER_00: teaching or mentoring,
- 12:19SPEAKER_00: publishing,
- 12:20SPEAKER_00: travel,
- 12:21SPEAKER_00: religion,
- 12:22SPEAKER_00: all of those things we just talked about,
- 12:24SPEAKER_00: right?
- 12:25SPEAKER_00: Just looking at this information alone, what could we consider?
- 12:29SPEAKER_00: Is this a religious figure?
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: Possibly.
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: Is this a college professor or an academic of some sort?
- 12:37SPEAKER_00: Possibly.
- 12:37SPEAKER_00: Is this a researcher of some kind or maybe a scientist?
- 12:42SPEAKER_00: Possibly.
- 12:43SPEAKER_00: A philosopher or a writer and a publisher of philosophical ideas?
- 12:48SPEAKER_00: Possibly.
- 12:49SPEAKER_00: We still don't quite know, but we're getting closer.
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: We can see, though, that this ninth house, Jupiter, is in the sign of Aquarius.
- 12:59SPEAKER_00: What could this tell us?
- 13:01SPEAKER_00: Aquarius has very progressive ideals that could fit in with any of those professions.
- 13:09SPEAKER_00: Aquarius is often focused on the collective of humanity and wants to advance humanity.
- 13:14SPEAKER_00: Aquarius can be unconventional and eccentric and may view things differently than most people.
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: Aquarius can see patterns and solutions to things that maybe the average person can't see.
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: Aquarius is tied to spirituality in some ways, particularly to astrology, so there's that.
- 13:37SPEAKER_00: Aquarius energy is highly intelligent and highly intellectual,
- 13:41SPEAKER_00: so Aquarius is quite significantly tied to technology,
- 13:46SPEAKER_00: to new inventions,
- 13:48SPEAKER_00: and to science.
- 13:50SPEAKER_00: And it does really well there.
- 13:51SPEAKER_00: It does really well in scientific fields because it thinks like a scientist a lot of times.
- 13:56SPEAKER_00: It's very objective and can remain unbiased and unattached to outcomes.
- 14:02SPEAKER_00: So the scientific method itself is very Aquarian.
- 14:06SPEAKER_00: So I think a philosopher or someone who leads towards activism and inspiration is
- 14:11SPEAKER_00: certainly possible in this case.
- 14:14SPEAKER_00: But I'd also think you could make a solid case for something very technical,
- 14:18SPEAKER_00: like a scientist or inventor or a scientific researcher with a very expansive
- 14:23SPEAKER_00: vision who works in academia or
- 14:26SPEAKER_00: and publishes or shares their work out in the world, like many academians tend to do.
- 14:32SPEAKER_00: So let's keep this going and now look at the aspects that this planet,
- 14:36SPEAKER_00: Jupiter,
- 14:36SPEAKER_00: the sixth house ruler,
- 14:38SPEAKER_00: makes with other planets.
- 14:40SPEAKER_00: Well,
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: right away,
- 14:42SPEAKER_00: I would point to the opposition it's making with Uranus in the third house of
- 14:46SPEAKER_00: thinking and communication.
- 14:48SPEAKER_00: Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius, interestingly.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: So Jupiter is making an aspect with its own dispositor,
- 14:56SPEAKER_00: adding even more emphasis to the relationship between these two houses and these
- 15:01SPEAKER_00: two planets.
- 15:02SPEAKER_00: Uranus in the third house can indicate high,
- 15:05SPEAKER_00: high levels of intelligence,
- 15:07SPEAKER_00: possibly even genius,
- 15:09SPEAKER_00: or at the very least,
- 15:11SPEAKER_00: a perspective and a way of thinking that is unconventional or outside the norm in
- 15:17SPEAKER_00: some way.
- 15:18SPEAKER_00: This can indicate eccentric thinking,
- 15:21SPEAKER_00: but also just an ability to think through things in a way that maybe others can't
- 15:27SPEAKER_00: or don't.
- 15:29SPEAKER_00: It can also indicate large breakthroughs, maybe even breakthroughs that really shake things up.
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: This can be a way of thinking that completely changes paradigms even.
- 15:41SPEAKER_00: Uranus doesn't care about the status quo,
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: and it's not particularly influenced or swayed by the way things are,
- 15:49SPEAKER_00: especially being opposite Jupiter.
- 15:52SPEAKER_00: That could really give someone kind of a rebellious nature.
- 15:55SPEAKER_00: So this seems like someone who is very driven to make changes.
- 16:00SPEAKER_00: But this Uranus, it's in the sign of Virgo.
- 16:03SPEAKER_00: That's going to take this very high degree of intellect and ensure that it gets
- 16:09SPEAKER_00: used in a highly analytical way.
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: Virgo is very analytical.
- 16:14SPEAKER_00: It's going to take an idea and pick it apart over and over until it's completely
- 16:20SPEAKER_00: satisfied with its accuracy and its level of precision.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: Things need to be exact with Virgo.
- 16:28SPEAKER_00: And this is nice here, actually.
- 16:30SPEAKER_00: I like this because it provides a counterbalance to all of the Sagittarian energy,
- 16:35SPEAKER_00: which is so big picture.
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: And Sag doesn't necessarily do details all that well, but Virgo certainly does.
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: So it's a nice balance of both things.
- 16:45SPEAKER_00: This person can see the forest and the trees, and that's a unique combination.
- 16:50SPEAKER_00: Lots of us are one or the other.
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: We can also take note of the fact that Jupiter is making another aspect.
- 16:56SPEAKER_00: It's forming a square with Pluto in the 11th house.
- 17:00SPEAKER_00: The 11th house is the house that Aquarius naturally rules.
- 17:05SPEAKER_00: So we have those Aquarian themes coming up again here.
- 17:09SPEAKER_00: This house rules over the collective of humanity.
- 17:13SPEAKER_00: Pluto is about transformation and also about death and rebirth or even the darker
- 17:19SPEAKER_00: parts of our humanity,
- 17:21SPEAKER_00: right?
- 17:21SPEAKER_00: So certainly it would seem like this could be someone whose work is going to change
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: the direction of some group of people somewhere or maybe even change the direction
- 17:33SPEAKER_00: of humanity itself.
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: I told myself I would not veer out of this process, but I can't totally help it.
- 17:39SPEAKER_00: It would seem like this idea is supported by this person's 10th house stellium, which includes the sun.
- 17:47SPEAKER_00: This could be a pretty public-facing lifetime with all of those planets there and the sun there.
- 17:53SPEAKER_00: That 11th house also has a lot going on.
- 17:56SPEAKER_00: But back to Pluto.
- 17:58SPEAKER_00: Pluto is in Taurus here.
- 17:59SPEAKER_00: So
- 18:00SPEAKER_00: You know, Taurus can be pretty set in its ways.
- 18:03SPEAKER_00: It likes stability.
- 18:05SPEAKER_00: Pluto is definitely not set in any ways.
- 18:09SPEAKER_00: So again,
- 18:10SPEAKER_00: transforming the status quo and making impactful contributions seems like a theme
- 18:17SPEAKER_00: that is cropping up over and over.
- 18:19SPEAKER_00: So I can see all of that, all of that transformation as the result of all this person's work.
- 18:27SPEAKER_00: And,
- 18:27SPEAKER_00: you know,
- 18:28SPEAKER_00: those are great clues when we're looking at someone's life in hindsight,
- 18:32SPEAKER_00: because this is a public figure who's not alive anymore.
- 18:37SPEAKER_00: But as for the work itself, the work that this person might do
- 18:41SPEAKER_00: if this were a modern person looking for guidance,
- 18:44SPEAKER_00: or if you were looking at your own chart,
- 18:47SPEAKER_00: what might we say about it?
- 18:48SPEAKER_00: Where might we land?
- 18:50SPEAKER_00: Well, there are lots of ways that you can bring transformation into the world.
- 18:54SPEAKER_00: There are lots of ways to shake things up in unconventional ways.
- 18:58SPEAKER_00: You can do that in most industries.
- 19:00SPEAKER_00: You can do that in art or politics or activism or journalism or science or medicine.
- 19:07SPEAKER_00: But,
- 19:07SPEAKER_00: you know,
- 19:07SPEAKER_00: I don't think I'd lean towards politics or activism necessarily on this one because
- 19:13SPEAKER_00: what seems eye-catching here is just the sheer intellectual brilliance in this
- 19:19SPEAKER_00: chart that we talked about.
- 19:21SPEAKER_00: Not that world leaders can't be brilliant.
- 19:24SPEAKER_00: But it wouldn't appear that this is what we're looking at.
- 19:27SPEAKER_00: It seems a little too technical for that to me.
- 19:31SPEAKER_00: This Uranus in the third house in Virgo, it just seems too genius and too technical.
- 19:39SPEAKER_00: So, of course, I know whose chart this is and that always helps.
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: But I really do see some kind of technology or technological advancement or science
- 19:49SPEAKER_00: or research or something there.
- 19:52SPEAKER_00: There's something very academic,
- 19:53SPEAKER_00: but in a way that's more analytical and precise than the humanities or the arts
- 19:59SPEAKER_00: would typically allow for.
- 20:01SPEAKER_00: And of course, that is in fact the case, because this natal chart belongs to Albert Einstein.
- 20:07SPEAKER_00: He was born on March 14, 1879.
- 20:08SPEAKER_00: And of course,
- 20:11SPEAKER_00: Pretty much everybody knows who he is, unless you've been living under a rock all your life.
- 20:16SPEAKER_00: He was a physicist,
- 20:18SPEAKER_00: most well known for developing the theory of relativity and for making numerous
- 20:23SPEAKER_00: other contributions to the world of physics,
- 20:25SPEAKER_00: Nobel Prize winner.
- 20:27SPEAKER_00: He changed the scientific community socially also, as well as through his work.
- 20:32SPEAKER_00: He was also a pretty philosophical guy.
- 20:35SPEAKER_00: He was very open and very public about his progressive views on the world.
- 20:40SPEAKER_00: and also about his thoughts on religion.
- 20:43SPEAKER_00: He was agnostic and he once called himself a deeply religious non-believer because
- 20:48SPEAKER_00: he didn't believe in any specific religion.
- 20:51SPEAKER_00: Incidentally,
- 20:53SPEAKER_00: I find it super interesting that he has that Jupiter squaring Pluto in the 11th
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: house in the sign of Taurus.
- 21:02SPEAKER_00: When you consider that he played a minor role and,
- 21:06SPEAKER_00: you know,
- 21:07SPEAKER_00: I repeat minor because he wasn't directly involved in the advent of nuclear weapons.
- 21:14SPEAKER_00: He didn't invent the atomic bomb or develop the bomb or really have any,
- 21:18SPEAKER_00: you know,
- 21:19SPEAKER_00: association with it directly.
- 21:21SPEAKER_00: But his equation,
- 21:22SPEAKER_00: E equals MC squared,
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: made it possible for the atom bomb to be invented and developed by the work of others.
- 21:29SPEAKER_00: So it was kind of a domino effect that resulted from some of his work.
- 21:35SPEAKER_00: So in that context,
- 21:37SPEAKER_00: one could look at Pluto in the 11th house as a more literal peril and death,
- 21:42SPEAKER_00: which I don't always do,
- 21:43SPEAKER_00: but it seems almost a little more literal in that context.
- 21:47SPEAKER_00: A literal peril for the collective and in the sign of Taurus,
- 21:52SPEAKER_00: which is all about stability and steadiness and enjoyment of life.
- 21:57SPEAKER_00: And of course, nuclear weapons or their existence and the arms race that followed
- 22:03SPEAKER_00: completely disrupted people's sense of stability and safety in the world.
- 22:08SPEAKER_00: And he's also got
- 22:09SPEAKER_00: Chiron in the 11th too and he has his nodes on the you know second eighth axis so
- 22:15SPEAKER_00: there's that push-pull between stability and transformation or even just you know
- 22:21SPEAKER_00: the eighth house north node you know looking deeper into the inner workings of
- 22:25SPEAKER_00: things and figuring stuff out that no one's ever unearthed or seen or figured out
- 22:30SPEAKER_00: before this is a very very interesting chart to say the very least
- 22:36SPEAKER_00: So that's a great exercise to be doing.
- 22:39SPEAKER_00: And it's going to give you stuff to chew on for quite a while.
- 22:44SPEAKER_00: Believe me, people can spend years unpacking this stuff.
- 22:47SPEAKER_00: And just when you think you have your chart all figured out,
- 22:50SPEAKER_00: your perspective shifts or something happens that has you looking at yourself
- 22:54SPEAKER_00: through a new lens and you go right back to it and start seeing your chart in all
- 22:59SPEAKER_00: sorts of ways you hadn't before.
- 23:01SPEAKER_00: That's one of the reasons I love astrology so much is because you never stop learning.
- 23:06SPEAKER_00: and you never stop having new ideas.
- 23:08SPEAKER_00: Okay, I think that's plenty for now.
- 23:11SPEAKER_00: I'm going to wrap this up.
