  how Jacob was tricked into marrying Leah when

  he really wanted to marry Rachel. Jacob eventually

  married Rachel as well, but with so many people

  in one family, things didn't always go smoothly.

  Today, We'll hear about how Jacob's family grew

  and the trouble that came when jealousy took

  over. Today's lesson is from Genesis 29 and 30.

  Are you ready? Let's begin! Jacob stayed in Haran

  with his new family. and over time, God blessed

  him with many children. But his home was not

  a peaceful one. Jacob loved Rachel more than

  Leah, which made Leah feel sad and left out.

  But God saw Leah's sorrow, and he gave her children

  first. Leah had a son named Reuben, then Simeon,

  then Levi, and Judah. Each time she hoped that

  Jacob would love her more, but he still cared

  more for Rachel. Rachel, however, had no children,

  and this made her very jealous of Leah. One day,

  she said to Jacob, Give me children, or I will

  die. But Jacob reminded her that only God could

  give children. Rachel watched as more sons were

  born into the family, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher,

  Issachar, and Zebulun. She must have wondered,

  Will God ever give me a child? Then one day,

  after many years of longing, God answered her

  prayers, and she had a son. She named him Joseph.

  and he would grow up to be a very important part

  of God's plan. She also said, May the Lord add

  to me another son. God answered this prayer and

  Rachel later had another son called Benjamin,

  but we will talk more about him another time.

  Wow! What a big family! But did you notice how
• 2:46
  jealousy caused a lot of problems? Even in the
• 2:50
  midst of these family challenges, God continued
• 2:53
  to work in Jacob's life. This story reminds us
• 2:57
  that his blessings are given in his own time

  and that every person is precious. Though the

  family sometimes struggled with jealousy and

  misunderstandings, God's promise remained true

  for Jacob's household. Let's think about a few
